Hey everyone. Glad to see so much action on these boards. I just got back into TNM and wanted to post my fed. Here's the backstory on it:
In the Summer of 2010, Mike Frazier was fortunate enough to win a rather large lottery jackpot. Being a long time wrestling fan, he decided to start up a new league. At the same time, Versus Network was looking to get into the wrestling biz and the two crossed paths. The result was the formation of Elite Pro Wrestling. EPW!!
The EPW went and signed the best wrestlers available. They got a mix of former WWE and TNA stars, along with some of the best indy wrestlers yet to get a shot.
The EPW will run one TV show a week starting in the Fall of 2010. As of right now, there will not be any supercards or PPVs. This is to establish the best quality matches on the weekly tv show.
There will be 3 titles to start with. The World Title, the World tag titles, and the No Limits titles (similar to TNA's X Division title, well, the way it used to be).
Here are some of the stars signed to EPW
Arik Cannon Austin Aries Carlito Colon Colt Cabana Drake Younger Eddie Kingston Homocide Jigsaw Jon Moxley Ken Doane Masato Yoshino Mike Quackenbush Naruki Doi Petey Williams Shingo Takagi Sonjay Dutt YAMATO
TAG TEAMS Dark City Fight Club Osirian Portal

Look forward to seeing what you do with a small indy roster like this, though it doesn't seem like a group that should be calling their championship a World Title.

Naruki Doi pinned Masato Yoshino with the Bakatare Sliding Kick in 0:08:19. Rating: ** 3/4

Jon Moxley pinned Ken Doane with the Moxicity in 0:11:27. Rating: *** 1/2
Four Corners Ladder Match for the vacant EPW NO LIMITS TITLE: Homicide defeated Drake Younger, Jigsaw and Mike Quackenbush in 0:23:31. Rating: *** (Homicide won the EPW NO LIMITS TITLE.)
Card rating: ***
Match observations:
EPW's second weekly show featured a 4 way ladder match to decide the first No Limit Champion. In a match that saw great action with all four men being so close to getting the belt, Homocide was able to rise above the rest and take the belt.
Jon Moxley challenged Sonjay Dutt for a rematch for the world title belt. But he wasn't the only one looking for a title shot. WWE veteran Ken Doane came out and said he deserves the match since he was the biggest star in this company and his name should be on the marquee. This prompted a number one contenders match which Moxley won. Post match, Moxley called out Dutt who came to the ring and the two began to fight. Dutt looked like he was gaining the upperhand, until Moxley's old Kamakaze USA buddies from Dragon Gate, Shingo and Yamato came out and attacked Dutt from behind. The three stood over the fallen champion with their hands raised.
Arik Cannon was upset he was left out of the world title tournament. He claimed too many has-beens were featured, at the expense of the younger, better talent that will be the backbone of this company. He went out and proved himself with a impressive victory over none other than Carlito.
Naruki Doi and Masato Yoshino had a great match together. After the match they spoke and decided that two great Japanese superstars shouldn't have to fight each other. They decided to team up and take over the EPW together.

This might take me awhile to get into since you are using a ton of talent that I am not that familiar with. I will be reading, though, so hopefully you can give me an idea of the personalities of these guys.

Sonjay Dutt as the World champion is as good a choice as any. This is not a knock on you at all, but when circuits start up involving mostly indy talent, one champion is as good as the next. It depends on how you build from that to make it work.
We'll see where you go from here.

ELITE PRO WRESTLING #3
Austin Aries pinned Colt Cabana with the 450 Splash in 0:12:17. Rating: *** 3/4
Ken Doane pinned Arik Cannon with the Inside Swinging Neckbreaker Slam in 0:08:31. Rating: ***
Four Corners Match: Eddie Kingston defeated Carlito Colon, Drake Younger and Mike Quackenbush when E. Kingston defeated Colon by countout in 0:14:02. Rating: ***
Triangle Match for the vacant EPW WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES: Speed Muscle (Masato Yoshino and Naruki Doi) defeated The Osirian Portal (Amasis and Ophidian) and Dark City Fight Club (Kory Chavis and Jon Davis) when Yoshino defeated K. Chavis by disqualification in 0:03:50. Rating: * 1/4 (The EPW WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES remained vacant.)
Petey Williams and Sonjay Dutt defeated Shingo Takagi and YAMATO when S. Dutt pinned YAMATO with the Guru Press in 0:15:11. Rating: ***
Card rating: ** 1/2
Match observations:
Arik Cannon once again challenged any "has-been" to come out and face him. This week it was Ken Doane answering the call, and unlike last week, Cannon didn't come out on the good end as Doane was able to get the win.
The EPW promises the best in-ring action you'll find anywhere. Some of the best talent was on display during the four-way match, but the action refused to stay in the ring. After a serious of high flying manuevers, all four men were seemingly knocked out on the floor. However, Eddie Kingston was able to roll back into the ring at the count of 9, to win the match as everyone else was counted out.
The EPW tag titles were supposed to be decided tonight, instead they remain vacant after the tag title match ended in controversy. With the referee distracted, Jon Davis of the Dark City Fight Club knocked out Naruki Doi with a chair. The ref was ready to count 1-2-3, until he saw the chair and DQed the Fight Club. Doi and Yoshino were given the win, but since it was by DQ, the titles remained vacant.
Next week Sonjay Dutt will defend his world title one-on-one against Jon Moxley. Tonight, in response for last week's attack, Dutt recruited fellow TNA veteran Petey Williams to help fight against Shingo and Yamato. Dutt got the win for his team and had an intense stare down with Moxley to end the show.

Takagi via a facebuster in 0:24:06 x K. Chavis beat Yoshino after the Project Mayhem in 0:34:06 Rating: ** 3/4 (Dark City Fight Club won the EPW WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES.)
Jon Moxley pinned Sonjay Dutt with the Moxicity in 0:15:50. Rating: **** 1/2 (Jon Moxley won the EPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE.)
Card rating: *** 3/4
Match observations:
The Fourth edition of EPW TV will go down as one to remember. The show started off with Arik Cannon rallying some of the guys in the lockerroom saying that this had to be their house. No ex-WWE or TNA guys should be here and this was their time. He got a few fired up and the first match of the night was an 8-Man tag between Cannon's team, and a team made up of former Big 2 stars. Ken Doane continued to impress by scoring the pinfall victory over Jigsaw.
Cannon wasn't to pleased with the outcome and took out his frustrations on Jigsaw, before being pulled off him.
Eddie Kingston continued his winning streak by stopping another hot wrestler in Austin Aries. This should help move Kingston up the ladder to a possible title match down the road.
Tonight was the rematch to decide the world tag team champions. The three teams from last week, plus the Kamakaze USA team of Yamato and Shingo faced off in a four way dance. In the end, it was the Dark City Fight Club regining surpreme as champions.
Speaking of new champions. He has done it. Jon Moxley delivered on his promise and defeated Sonjay Dutt to become the new EPW World Champion. The show closed out with Shingo and Yamato coming to the ring to celebrate with the new champion.

ELITE PRO WRESTLING #5
Four Corners Ladder Match: Jigsaw defeated Drake Younger, Petey Williams and Mike Quackenbush in 0:05:22. Rating: ** (Austin Aries no-showed.)
Shingo Takagi and YAMATO defeated Speed Muscle (Masato Yoshino and Naruki Doi) when YAMATO pinned Yoshino with the German Suplex Hold in 0:06:19. Rating: ** 1/2
Eddie Kingston pinned Colt Cabana with the Back Fist to the Future in 0:11:09. Rating: *** 1/4
Sonjay Dutt pinned Arik Cannon after a flying elbowdrop in 0:11:43. Rating: *** 1/4
Card rating: ***
Match observations:
Jon Moxley, Shingo and YAMATO came out to celebrate Moxley being crowned the new champion. He gives thanks to Shingo and YAMATO for all they've done as a team. He doesn't care what league their in, they will always be known as Kamakaze USA. Sonjay Dutt came out and asked for a rematch, commenting that Moxley was only just a little bit better last week, and it has yet to be proven who the better man is. This drew out Arik Cannon, continuing his quest to rid EPW of the wrestlers he termed as has-beens. He told Dutt to get out of his way because it's time for someone else to get a shot. The standoff ends with Cannon and Dutt agreeing to a match tonight with the winner to face Moxley next week for the belt.
The #1 contender for Homocide's No Limits title was decided in a 4-way ladder match. Jigsaw rebounded from his defeat last week to climb the ladder and pull down the contract. He will meet Homocide next week.
Kamakaze USA is after all the gold in EPW. Shingo and YAMATO defeated their Japanese brotheren, Masato Yoshino and Naruki Doi to become the new number one contenders for the tag belts.
Eddie Kingston stayed hot and earned himself a title shot down the road with an impressive win over Colt Cabana.
Finally it was Arik Cannon and Sonjay Dutt to determine who will face Moxley next week. Moxley did not want to see Dutt again. He had Shingo and YAMATO distract the ref while Moxley clocked Dutt with the title belt. This left an opening for Cannon, but Jigsaw came out, still sour over last week. While Cannon was covering Dutt and the referee still trying to get rid of Kamaze, Jigsaw flew off the top rope and hit and elbow on the back of Cannon's head. He rolled Dutt on top and he got the win.
Next week on EPW TV, it will be dubbed Championship Tuesday. All three EPW titles will be at stake.
No Limits Title: Homocide defends against Jigsaw World Tag Team Titles: Dark City Fight Club defends aganist Kamakaze USA World Heavyweight Title: Jon Moxley defends against Sonjay Dutt

ELITE PRO WRESTLING #6: CHAMPIONSHIP TUESDAY
Ken Doane pinned Austin Aries with the Inside Swinging Neckbreaker Slam in 0:10:26. Rating: *** 3/4
Jigsaw pinned Homicide with the Jig 'n Tonic in 0:12:25. Rating: ** (Jigsaw won the EPW NO LIMITS TITLE.)
Shingo Takagi and YAMATO defeated Dark City Fight Club (Kory Chavis and Jon Davis) when YAMATO pinned K. Chavis with the German Suplex Hold in 0:11:58. Rating: ** 1/2 (Shingo Takagi and YAMATO won the EPW WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES.)
Jon Moxley defeated Sonjay Dutt by disqualification in 0:10:48. Rating: *** (Jon Moxley retained the EPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE.)
Card rating: ** 3/4
Match observations:
Championship Tuesday began with Ken Doane coming out saying he's been hearing a lot of talk about how guys like them were has-beens that blew their shot at the big time. He challenged anyone in the back to come out and prove to him that they're better. Austin Aries answered the call and looked like he would prove that point, until Doane got an assist from fellow WWE Alum Carlito to score a win.
Jigsaw scored a win over Homocide but there was no time to celebrate as immediately, he was blindsided by Arik Cannon who beat down Jigsaw and left him laying. Homocide took this chance to grab the No Limits title belt and walk off with it.
There were also new tag champions crowned as the Kamakaze USA team of Shingo and YAMATO knocked off the Dark City Fight Club to take home the belts.
The one title that did not change was the world title. It lookedlike it might. Dutt had Moxley ready to be pinned when Shingo and Yamato made their way back to break up the match. It was a 3-on-1 beatdown until Petey Williams came down to make the save. Kamakaze still had the numbers, until of all people, Eddie Kingston came down to fight with Dutt and Williams.
