So, I'm coming back to TNM after a year and a half, and I'm having an issue. I'd been using an old Win98 disk through VirtualBox, but when I tried to start it up it wouldn't work properly. I decided to ditch it and run a few cards for an existing circuit in DosBox until I had the time to uninstall and reinstall the VM, so I extracted the files using VMXRay, and at first everything looked fine. I adjusted a few things -- mainly creating one new wrestler I wanted to use and deleting a few redundant moves -- and suddenly I got the error in the subject line. More specifically, this happened after I checked my wrestler ratings and tried to quit out of the circuit back to the main screen. Since I hadn't actually run any cards yet, I re-ran VMXRay, and didn't get the error after checking the ratings. I did a few more tests, and it seems that if I check the ratings as the very first thing I do, it works, but if I do anything else first it generates the error.
Anyone have any ideas what might be happening?

Error 201 is a run-time "out of memory" error. If something doesn't work right in the VM, it'll only work even less after extracting the files from the VM and piecing things together again. Also, if you're getting 201s, that means something is wonky about the VM itself. You should never get the error you encountered - it is normally impossible to get, unless the VM is limiting DOS space most severely.
If you change installations, Build 8 will have a new feature in Backups where you can restore a backup from any file location. For instance, if you're already using Build 7 with DOSBOX and download Build 8, you'd be starting over with a clean TNM. But if you make a backup using your older version's "Make Backup" feature, then on the new version go into Database -> Backups -> Restore Backup From File, you can restore the old version's data into the new version, essentially giving you the cleanest possible upgrade path.

Thanks, that's good to know if I ever go back to using DosBox. Since I posted this, I went ahead and reinstalled my VirtualBox Windows XP VM and transferred my TNM back to it and it's mostly running fine. The only issue I've had is that I can't get the Circuit History plugin to run, but I rarely used that anyway so it's no big deal.

If the Circuit History plugin crashes, there is at least some corruption going on in your circuit's data files. And by keeping on running it, it'll only spiral over time. Need to nip that in the bud as early as possible.
You could ZIP up your TNM folder, upload it to Dropbox and send me the link. I'd have a look at it, and it's something small, I may be able to fix it so you can run it again safely.

In case you're not seeing my PM's...
Thanks again for looking at and (hopefully) fixing my TNM. The problem is that it looks like the PM you sent back to me has the wrong link, as it just leads to a download of an empty Build 9.

I don't get notifications from here so I missed your PM until now. Please let me know if the solution I sent you works for you.
