Sometimes wrestlers change their finisher or signature move, but keep the name. Dean Ambrose changed Dirty Deeds from a bulldog driver to a double arm DDT. Mortis started out calling his second rope Samoan Drop the Flatliner, but changed that to the DOA and started using the legsweep Flatliner that most people know it as. So depending on what point in the wrestler's career an export represents will determine which naming is used.
I'm thinking of a different situation though. I looked at some Kenny Omega clips. Sometimes the V-Trigger is to a standing opponent (i.e. a high knee variant) and sometimes to a kneeling opponent (i.e. Shining Wizard variant). For fans at home this is no big deal: a running knee strike is a running knee strike. But for TNM purposes, what would you do: high knee for his finisher-like move and Shining Wizard in his move list (using the Special Moves Wizard to rename it)? (Presuming his secondary finisher should be the One-Winged Angel.)
Any other examples of wrestlers who use the same name simultaneous to refer to what TNM7 would consider two separate moves?

I think this is similar to the Masa Chono Kenka Kick variants. Chono had a shining version and a similar sliding version. I would say that is three V-Triggers for Omega. The high knee, the shining (I guess this would be the one against the ropes more than the standard Shining Wizard) and the rip-cord version.

For Kenny, I'd just create two moves: a standing V-Trigger and a running V-Trigger... problem solved. And if the difference in name bothers you, you can rename both to V-Trigger for Kenny in the Special Move Wizard plugin.
As far as the other instances mentioned are concerned, unfortunately there really isn't a good way to deal with this. It's not something I thought of when creating TNM's internal logic.
