It's possible I'm missing it, but is there a way to change what referees your circuit uses? I was thinking of having a ref angle similar to the old Danny Davis bit where he got fired and became a wrestler for a bit, but I can't seem to find any way to remove a ref once my circuit has started. There's nothing in the manual about it, and there's no option in TweakCirc. I did start out with the default refs, if that matters -- actually, I'd like to create my own refs, but I can't seem to do that either. Any ideas?

The only way I can see editing referees after you've created the circuit with default referees would be to edit the REFEREES.DAT file in your circuit's folder and changing the names of the current refs to guys you want. Or you could just assign special referees to each match you want this guy to ref. The latter method is probably recommended. If you start editing the REFEREES.DAT file, it'll probably work, but if you jack something up, I doubt Copp is going to want to fix it.

Yeah, editing the .dat file was going to be my option of last resort. If I do wind up doing that, I'll just make damn sure to have a backup of the whole shebang for just such an emergency .

That's not completely correct :-). You can change your referees from the "Edit Circuit-Specific Databases" menu.
Do not ever edit the .DAT files manually - you WILL screw up your copy because the index files will be off. And you won't be able to correct those manually :-)

A-ha! I thought this was somewhere in there, but it's been so long since I needed it that I'd forgotten. Not sure why I didn't think to look in the Database section. Thanks, Oliver!
