First circuit I've posted in quite a while. It's a fantasy lucha libre circuit starting in 1983. Being all fantasy wrestlers (Though some have real life counter parts they are loosely based on) you might want to glance over the roster to get an idea of who's who. amll.wetpaint.com/A few notes on terminology for those not familiar... Dos de Tres Caídas = 2 out of 3 falls Campeonato Mundial de Peso Completo = World Heavyweight Championship Campeonato Mundial de Trios = World 6-Man Tag Team Championship Campeonato Mundial de Parejas = World Tag Team Championship

Date: January 16th 1983 Location: Mexico City, Mexico Attendance: 2,000 (Sold out)
Tonight for AMLL's debut, we have a packed house in Mexico City. Lined up for the card is several matches which should prove to be fantastic bouts of lucha libre action. A few of the stars that will be in action tonight include tecnicos El Sacredote, Triangulo, El Fabuloso, and Esqueleto Azul and hated rudos Lazaro Pascual of the legendary Pascual wrestling family, Tizoc Jr., son of the great El Bucanero I El Bucanero Negro, El Rubio de America, the mysterious Rey Brujo and El Demonio Mortal and the Arabian madman "El Sultan" Nasir al Din. Tonight the Campeonato Mundial de Trios will be decided in classic Dos de Tres Caídas fashion and in our main event the Campeonato Mundial de Peso Completo will be crowned in a match featuring two men well known to Mexican audiences. Maximo Tapia has been on the warpath in efforts to revive his career after losing his mask as El Maximo early on and fought his way through a tournament in South America. His opponent will be a man who started as a rudo but over time managed to win a special place in the hearts of the Mexican fans. "Viceroy" Manjit Nimesh won the same tournament's Asian counterpart and now the two will meet in the ring, one-on-one for the chance to be crowned the first AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Peso Completo!
El Guerrero Rayo vs. Danny Banderas
Danny Banderas starts off by attacking Guerrero Rayo before the bell but he doesn't stay in control for long before Rayo gets the upperhand. The two go back and forth a bit. Rayo hits a big belly-to-belly suplex and and does his trademark point to the sky. He goes up top, but is thrown down by Banderas. Rayo had a chance or two to turn things around after that but wasn't able to capitalize on them fast enough. Banderas laid him out with a DDT and went up top for the flying legdrop to get the three count.
Danny Banderas pinned El Guerrero Rayo with the Flying Legdrop in 0:06:10. Rating: 3/4*
Jose Escuda vs. El Bucanero Negro
El Bucanero Negro puts the hammer down right from the start and makes sure he stays in control, trying not to give Escuda any chances to turn the tables around. Escuda never gave up though and kept trying hard to fight back. Referee Castulo Guervara came close to disqualifying Bucanero a couple times during the match for refusing to release chokeholds. Escuda managed to hit his Ace Crusher out of nowhere but was still hurting and it took him precious seconds to flop over onto him for the pin, only getting a two count. Once they both got to their feet they traded a couple blows, but a well placed boot to the gut set up the power bomb and a victory for El Bucanero Negro.
El Bucanero Negro pinned Jose Escuda with the Power Bomb in 0:07:43. Rating: ** 3/4
--Dos de Tres Caídas-- Hirotada Jo, El Sacerdote & Hugo Xuarez vs. Lazaro Pascual, Grey Fox & Bear Anderson[/b]
The match starts off with Grey Fox and El Sacerdote in the ring. The performed a couple classic quick give and take spots where neither comes out with the upper hand. Sacerdote even went so far to applaud his opponent, which Grey Fox apparently took as sarcastic and changed in with a big knee to the gut. Fox tagged out to Lazaro and Sacerdote found an opening and took control, taking the opportunity to to tag out to Hirotada Jo. Lazaro eventually managed to claw his way back and brought Grey Fox back into the ring. Jo managed to make a hot tag to Sacerdote who came in with a big house of fire, laying out all three members of the opposite team with big headbutts. He finishes off with a big headbutt on Grey Fox and gets the first fall.
To start the second fall of the match "Big" Bear Anderson enters the ring with a beat of his chest and a deep growl, immediately attacking Sacerdote and catching him off guard. He lays in with powerful punches and chops. He hits a lariat and grabs a hand full of tights with a pin, but still managed to only get a two count. Sacerdote managed to create enough of an opponent to tag out and back in comes Hirotada Jo. Jo hits a couple kicks to the thigh, but Anderson is having none of it and whips Hirotada into the corner, following up with a big avalanche and a vicious piledriver for a three count, evening up the score.
For the third and final fall Bear Anderson tries to keep things rolling by catching Hirotada Jo with another quick fall, but Hirotada managed to get off a bulldog and tag out to Hugo Xuarez. Grey Fox jumps in the ring and attacks him trying to even the odds, but Sacerdote jumps up and evens the odds, ejecting Fox to the outside and jumping onto him with a plancha. The distraction is enough to let Bear Anderson tag out to Lazaro Pascual who hits Hugo with a huge forearm which he follows with a german suplex for two. Lazaro stays in control, but as he plays to the crowd he allows Xuarez to tag out to Sacerdote, who hits a big flying dropkick as Lazaro turns out. He throws him into the ropes and nails a flying cross chop then picks him up and locks in the Cruz Mexicana. Lazaro fights and struggles to get out of it, but he refuses to give up and eventually passes out in the submission.
Dos de Tres Caídas Match: Hirotada Jo, El Sacerdote and Hugo Xuarez beat Lazaro Pascual, Grey Fox and Bear Anderson 2 falls to 1: ----x Sacerdote beat Grey Fox via headbutt in 0:11:12 ----x Anderson beat H. Jo via the Piledriver in 0:14:22 ----x Sacerdote beat L. Pascual via the Cruz Mexicana in 0:17:37 Rating: ** 3/4
Esqueleto Azul vs. El Demonio Mortal (w/Rey Brujo)
El Demonio Mortal tried to start things off fast and furious by charging at Esqueleto Azul as soon as the bell rang, but Esqueleto cleverly stepped aside and sent him into the ropes. He tried for a hiptoss on the rebound but Demonio reversed it, which Esqueleto also counted with a rake to the face and then a kick to the rear of Demonio Mortal. This only served to anger him, of course, and Mortal came at him again. They played this game a couple times, with Esqueleto managing to out smart Demonio and making him look like something of a fool in the process. The crowd ate it up and both Demonio and Rey Brujo on the outside got angrier and angrier. When Demonio finally managed to get his hands on Esqueleto he tried to methodically destroy him with Rey Brujo on the outside shouting comands and "giving him power" from his juju stick. It wasn't until the end that Esqueleto Azul was able to get a leg up after an attempt from Rey Brujo to hit him with the juju stick while the ref was down backfired and Brujo hit Demonio with the stick, dazing him and allowing Esqueleto to roll him up with the Hueso Cradle.
Esqueleto Azul pinned El Demonio Mortal with the Hueso Cradle in 0:07:51. Rating: * 1/2
As Esqueleto celebrated his victory with some kids at ringside, Rey Brujo distracts Esqueleto and Demonio attack him from behind with a chair. Brujo and Demonio taunt the people sitting at ringside and give Esqueleto a couple stomps for good measure.
--Dos de Tres Caídas Match for the Vacant AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Trios-- Triangulo, El Fabuloso and Bobby Taylor vs. El Rubio de America, Tizoc Jr. and Nasir al Din[/b]
The first fall started off with the two Americans, Rubio de America and Bobby Taylor. Rubio tried to get a "USA" chant started but instead the fans chanted for Bobby Taylor. Taylor and Rubio brawled a little bit with Taylor seeming to have the edge. An eye poke and a retreat to the corner brought in Nasir al Din who quickly went on the offensive. El Fabuloso manages to make a blind tag, climbs up top and hits a big flying dropkick on Nasir which takes him off his feet and Taylor rolls out of the ring. El Fabuloso blows some kisses to the crowd and Nasir tags out and brings Rubio back in. He hits a clothesline from behind and then he and Nasir double team Fabuloso before he exits the ring. Fabuloso manages to catch Rubio off guard by a roll up, but Rubio flings Fabuloso off at two and right into his own corner where he tags out to Triangulo. As Rubio gets up he's nailed with a huge flying cross body press that allows Triangulo to pick up the first fall for his team.
The fans are all chanting for Triangulo as Rubio has a second or two to recover and the second fall starts. Triangulo hits the russian legsweep setup for the Triclutch and tries to lock it in, but Rubio is able to fight his way out for before Triangulo can cinch it up. Triangulo does a good job of staying in control of the match until Tizoc Jr. tossed Rubio the American flag and Rubio clocked Triangulo with it as Nasir distracted the referee. The ref turned around and started a three count but to everyone's surprise Triangulo managed to summon all his strength and kick out just barely before the ref counted the three, possibly working on instinct alone. Rubio takes a second to yell at some fans at ringside and then locks Triangulo in the bearhug as he stumbles to his feet. Rubio wrenches it and wrenches it, but Triangulo fights with all his heart to stay alive. Triangulo starts to fade though. Soon Triangulo goes fairly limp and referee Castulo Guarvara checks his arm. It falls once. It falls twice. It falls... no! It stays up! Triangulo is still in it and the crowd is going nuts. He boxed Rubio's ears a couple times and finally Rubio is forced to release the hold. He calls over El Fabuloso. He gets in the ring and they hit Rubio with a double dropkick followed by a double elbow drop. El Fabuloso whips him into one corner as Triangulo hops up into an adjacent one. Rubio hits the turnbuckle chest first and stumbles back into the middle of the ring and right into a flying cross body from Triangulo and Rubio kicks out at two. Triangulo sets Rubio up for the Russian legsweep that sets up his Triclutch, but Rubio fights out with a face rake and quickly retreats to his corner to tag out to Nasir al Din who enters and hits a headbutt which he follows with a side slam and a handful of tights to win the second fall and tie things up.
To start the third fall Bobby Taylor enters the ring and so does Tizoc Jr. The two trade punches and chops back and forth. Taylor gets the starts to come out on top of the exchanges and runs into the ropes. He goes for a dropkick, but Tizoc Jr. swats him out of the air and jumps on him back with a splash. He drags Taylor over to the corner and brings Nasir back in. El Fabuloso jumps in to even the odds and sends Tizoc Jr. packing and dives onto him from the ring apron. Nasir whips Taylor into the ropes but Taylor hangs on to them and quickly makes a diving tag to Triangulo. Nasir rushes in as fast as his large body will carry him, but Triangulo easily ducks a clothesline attempt and starts hitting kicks to Nasir's legs. He hit a dropkick to the back of Nasir's leg to bring him down to one knee then bounced off the ropes and hit a hard dropkick to his face to finally put him on his back. Triangulo tags to El Fabuloso who jumps onto Nasir with a senton and then again with a somersault senton. He blows a kiss at Nasir, slaps his own butt with the same hand and rolls up Nasir in the magistral for two. Fabuloso brings Nasir over to the corner and tag Taylor back into the match. Taylor runs into the ropes and tries for a cross body block, but Nasir catches him and hits a powerslam for two. Nasir hobbles over to the corner, his leg still hurting from Triangulo's kicks, and tags out to Tizoc Jr. Tizoc Jr hits some stomps then chucks Taylor into the corner and follows in with a crushing avalanche. He positions Taylor in front of the turnbuckle and then climbs his big body to the second rope for the Caida Aguila and the final fall.
Dos de Tres Caídas Match for the vacant AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Trios: El Rubio de America, Tizoc Jr. and Nasir al Din beat Triangulo, El Fabuloso and Bobby Taylor 2 falls to 1: ----x Triangulo beat Rubio via a flying cross body press in 0:03:55 ----x Nasir beat Triangulo via a side slam in 0:11:18 ----x Tizoc Jr. beat Taylor via the Caida Aguila in 0:16:09 Rating: * 3/4 (El Rubio de America, Tizoc Jr. and Nasir al Din won the AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Trios.)
--Main Event for the Vacant AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Peso Completo-- "Viceroy" Manjit Nimesh vs. Maximo Tapia[/b]
The two start with a lot of feeling eachother out, neither one wanting to give up an early advantage to their opponent in this big match for the Campeonato Mundial de Peso Completo. Both men went through tough tournaments to get here, Maximo Tapia facing some of the best wrestlers in Central America and South America and Manjit Nimesh facing some of the best wrestlers from all over the Asian continent. The two finally lock up. They push eachother around the ring a little bit until Tapia whips Nimesh into the ropes. Tapia hits a hiptoss, but Nimesh is quickly back on his feet. Tapia runs into the ropes. Nimesh ducks a clothesline and hits a big boot when Tapia bounces back at him. Tapia takes a powder outside and referee Castulo Guarvara starts the twenty count. Nimesh plays to the crowd a little, but doesn't follow him out. Tapia gets up on the apron and finally slinks back in. The two lock up again and after a bit more pushing Tapia again whips Nimesh into the ropes. Tapia tries for a shoulderblock, but Nimesh doesn't go down. Tapia runs into the ropes and ducks a clothesline form Nimesh, but is against met with the big boot, with Nimesh this time dropping down for a pin attempt but only getting two. Before Tapia can get up Nimesh latches on a nerve hold. Tapia isn't giving up though and works his way to the nearby ropes. Tapia low blows Nimesh to give himself a chance to take charge and starts laying into Nimesh with punches, kicks and chops. He whips him into the corner and follows in with a big knee. As Nimesh stumbles out Tapia takes him down with a snap mare and scissors Nimesh's head with his legs. The crowd is getting behind Nimesh and he's able to force his way out of the hold.
The two continued to brawl and it seemed it could go either way for much of the match. Maximo Tapia thought he had it clinched up after a well placed chair shot on the outside of the ring that busts Manjit Nimesh wide open. He rolls Nimesh back into the ring and locks in the Pulpo but Manjit refuses to give up. A visibly frustred Tapia releases the hold and starts to stomp Nimesh relentlessly. He whips him into the corner and charges in with a shoulder to the midsection but Nimesh gets out of the way and Tapia eats corner post. Nimesh hits Tapia with a couple harsh double-axe handles to the back and then a backbreaker. He holds onto him and lifts him up to his a second backbreaker. He flips Tapia over and applies his dreaded camel clucth! Tapia is trying to hold on, but he can't and is forced to tap out!
[Main Event]: Match for the vacant AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Peso Completo: Manjit Nimesh made Maximo Tapia submit to the Camel Clutch in 0:20:51. Rating: *** 3/4 (Manjit Nimesh won the AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Peso Completo.)

Tonight we have not one but two title defenses to look forward to. "Viceroy" Manjit Nimesh, coming off of a grueling battle last month with Maximo Tapia, will make his first title defense against another much loved tecnico in El Sacerdote. Both may be fan favorites, but they definitely bring much different styles to the ring. Also, we'll see the first defense of the Trios title as the champions El Rubio de America, Nasir al Din and Tizoc Jr face Hugo Xuarez, Bobby Taylor and El Guerrero Rayo with dos de tres caidas rules. Plus we'll have a second dos de tres caidas rules match up as well as two singles matches, one featuring the infamous Lazaro Pascual.
Jose Escuda vs. Danny Banderas
Jose Escuda starts off by playing to all the women in the crowd. They ladies cheer for him. Danny Banderas tries the same thing, but only gets boos. They do it again with the same results before Banderas finallly decides that he's had enough and starts the match with a clothesline which Escuda ducks. He hits Banderas with a dropkick, Banderas gets back to his feet right away and eats a second one. Escuda keeps control in his hands and continues to try and wear Banderas down with punches, kicks and slams. Escuda locks in a sleeperhold, but Banderas uses a kick to the groin to get him to release the hold and follows it with a back suplex which he uses to set up the flying legdrop for the pin and the win.
Danny Banderas pinned Jose Escuda with the Flying Legdrop in 0:08:55. Rating: 3/4*
Hirotada Jo vs. Lazaro Pascual
Lazaro Pascual wants to start things up by locking up, but Hirotada Jo throws him off and gives him a couple hard kicks to the leg for his troubles. Jo seems very intent to keep this a striking match and keeps Pascual at bay as best he can with kicks and chops. Pacual catches one of Jo's kicks and throws his leg up in the air. Jo does a backflip, but as soon as he lands Lazaro cleans his clock with a hard lariat. Lazaro starts in on his grappling game and tries to use holds and throws and leave as little space between him and Jo as possible to help keep Hirotada from using his kicks and chops to get the advantage back. Jo does manage to catch Pascual by surprise with the Japonito Cradle for two, but Lazaro makes sure that's something that doesn't happen again with a big hiptoss followed by a double kneedrop. He picks Jo up and uses a bodyslam to set Hirotada up for the moonsault to end the match.
Lazaro Pascual pinned Hirotada Jo with the Moonsault in 0:10:14. Rating: *** 1/2
--Dos de Tres Caidas-- El Fabuloso, Triangulo & Esqueleto Azul vs. Rey Brujo, El Demonio Mortal & El Bucanero Negro[/b]
The first fall of the match starts with Rey Brujo and Esqueleto Azul in the ring. Rey Brujo and his cohort El Demonio Mortal are still miffed about Esqueleto's antics last month, despite their post match beat down. Rey Brujo tries for a couple punches and chops, but Esqueleto manages to block them all. He goes for a kick, but Esqueleto grabs his foot, blows a raspberry through his mask and takes him down with a dragon screw. Both get up right away, Esqueleto tries for a kick, but this time Brujo catches his foot. He laughs, but Esqueleto shakes his finger "no" and hits an enzuigiri. Brujo isn't happy and Esqueleto heads to the corner to have himself a laugh. Rey Nrujo marches over to the corner and tags in El Demonio Mortal, screaming at him to get Esqueleto and make him pay. The two lock up and El Demonio tries to send Esqueleto into the ropes, but he reverse it. El Demonio ducks a clothesline attempt but stops himself and as Esqueleto turns he hits him with a savate kick square to the jaw, sending him down to the mat. He wears Esqueleto down a little more, but Esqueleto crawls between El Demonio Mortal's legs and makes it to the corner to bring in Triangulo. Triangulo darts in with a big elbowsmash and doesn't quite send Demonio down. He bounces off the ropes and tries for a second one, but Demonio catches him with a powerslam instead. El Demonio continues his assault with a choke hold that referee Papi Blanco ignores. Demonio tries for a flapjack, but Triangulo manages to grab his arm and hits a big armdrag on his way down. Both men pop up and Triangulo hits a backspin armdrag to take him down again. Both men are quickly back on their feet again and Demonio throws a big lariat, but Triangulo ducks it and hits a Russian legsweep and then latches on the Triclutch! Demonio is trying to get out but can't and he's forced to submit!
The beginning of the second fall sees El Fabuloso and El Bucanero Negro entering the ring. El Fabuloso gets off a few quick chops, but El Bucanero Negro sinks knee into his midsection and then throws him back down onto the mat by his hair. He lays stomps to him and then drags him over to the corner and brings El Demonio Mortal back in. El Demonio grabs Fabuloso and holds him while Bucanero winds up a big punch, but Fabuloso ducks and Bucanero clocks Mortal! Then Fabuloso plants a big kiss on Bucanero! He takes another swing at Fabuloso, but he again ducks and this time he knocks Rey Brujo off the apron! Fabuloso dumps Bucanero to the outside as well and puts Demonio on the mat with a dropkick, quickly following it with the magistral which just barely gets him the three count!
Two-out-of-three-Falls Match: El Fabuloso, Triangulo and Esqueleto Azul beat Rey Brujo, El Demonio Mortal and El Bucanero Negro 2 falls to 0: ----x Triangulo beat Demonio Mortal via the Triclutch in 0:05:56 ----x Fabuloso beat Demonio Mortal via the Magistral in 0:08:21 Rating: ** 1/4
Rey Brujo, El Demonio Mortal and El Bucanero Negro can't believe what just transpired. The three argue with eachother as Fabuloso, Triangulo and Esqueleto Azul celebrate in the ring.
--Dos de Tres Caidas Match for the AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Trios-- Hugo Xuarez, Bobby Taylor and El Guerrero Rayo vs. El Rubio de America, Tizoc Jr. and Nasir al Din (C)[/b]
The first fall of the match starts off with El Rubio de America and Hugo Xuarez in the ring. Rubio taunts Xuarez and struts around the ring before locking up and ever then, at the last second he ducks out of the way. Hugo is seems to get a little frustrated at Rubio's games and goes for a lariat. Rubio pulls referee Castule Guervara in the way, but Xuarez is able to stop himself before striking the ref. Unfortunately the distraction allows Rubio to catch Xuarez by surprise with an eye gouge and follows with a big hiptoss and fistdrop. He calls Tizoc Jr. into the ring for a little two on one. They pick Xuarez up, hit him with a double headbutt, knocking him down and then take turns with standing splashes before referee Guervara gets Tizoc Jr back out of the ring. Rubio tags out to Nasir al Din and they whip Xuarez into the ropes, he ducks a clothesline and cames back at them with a cross body block that catches them off guard and takes them off their feet. Xuarez makes a tag into Bobby Taylor who tries to keep control of the match, but one thrust kick from Nasir al Din sends him into Lala Land. He tags out to Tizoc Jr. and hits Bobby with a side slam, setting him up for Tizoc Jr to come off the second rope with his Caida Aguila for the first fall.
The second fall starts with El Guerrero Rayo entering the ring and trying to get the jump on Tizoc Jr. He gets control for a little while, but thanks to some interference from El Rubio de America, the match falls back into the hands of the champions. Shortly after Tizoc Jr tags out to Nasir al Din, referee Guervara loses control of the match and all six men are in the ring brawling. El Rubio sends Bobby Taylor flying over the top rope and then Tizoc Jr follows suit by throwing Xuarez onto Taylor! Meanwhile, Nasir locks the Arabian Clutch onto El Guerrero Rayo. Rayo tries to fight out, but he can't and he's too far away from the ropes to hope for a rope break. He puts up a valiant effort, but in the end of forced to submit.
Two-out-of-three-Falls Match: El Rubio de America, Tizoc Jr. and Nasir al Din beat Hugo Xuarez, Bobby Taylor and El Guerrero Rayo 2 falls to 0: ----x Tizoc Jr. beat Xuarez via the Caida Aguila in 0:07:48 ----x Nasir Al Din beat Guerrero Rayo via the Arabian Clutch in 0:10:42 Rating: *** 1/4 (El Rubio de America, Tizoc Jr. and Nasir al Din retained the AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Trios.)
--Main Event for the AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Peso Completo-- El Sacerdote vs. "Viceroy" Manjit Nimesh (C)[/b]
El Sacerdote and Manjit Nimesh are two men, that while having been at the to of lucha libre for many years now, have never found themselves facing eachother in singles action. It's something that some lucha libre fans might consider something of a "dream match." Things start off very slowly. They size eachother up a bit. They lock up and push eachother around a little bit, but end up breaking clean in the end. When things finally really get under way, neither man can seem to get a move off. Each time their opponent blocks or reverses the attempt. Manjit manages to whip Sacerdote into the ropes and tries for a big boot, but Sacerdote slides underneath and comes up behind him and hits a double axe-handle to Nimesh's back. The two men give and take a lot and while the pace slows down as the match goes on, neither one is able to get themselves into a position where it looks like they have the definite advantage over the other. The action spills out to the outside and Sacerdote hits a big plancha onto Manjit. Sacerdote recovers first and picks up Manjit, but Nimesh throws Sacerdote into the corner post shoulder first. They brawl around the ring until the referee gets to eighteen and both roll into the ring and continue brawling without seeming to miss a beat. Maximo Tapia and Manjit Nimesh wrestled a hard match last month when Nimesh won the title and he's being taken even further tonight by Sacerdote. By the end of the match Sacerdote appears to be bleeding from the lip onto his mask and Manjit has a trickle of blood running down his face as well. Both men are losing steam after giving it their all for a good portion of the match. El Sacerdote locks in the Cruz Mexicana and it looks like with that he might have the match put away. After lasting longer in the hold than most men he is able to just barely grasp the rope with his free arm, forcing Sacerdote to release the hold. He drags Manjit to the middle of the ring and tries to lock it in again, but Manjit hits a belly-to-belly suplex and immediately rolls him over and locks in the camel clutch! Sacerdote is fighting, but he's trapped in the middle of the ring and has to submit.
[Main Event]: Manjit Nimesh made El Sacerdote submit to the Camel Clutch in 0:18:14. Rating: ***** (Manjit Nimesh retained the AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Peso Completo.)

Tonight promises another night of great lucha libre action as Grey Fox is scheduled to be back in action in our opening match up against the American "Bad" Bobby Taylor. Rey Brujo and El Demonio Mortal will try and exact some revenge on Triangulo and Esqueleto Zul in tag team action, two third of the Compeonato Mundial de Trios will be in action as Nasir al Din and Tizoc Jr team up to face two of their opponents from last month in Hugo Xuarez and El Guerrero Rayo. Also we'll have an interview with Maximo Tapia and two re-matches. One between Lazaro Pascual and Hirotada Jo and at the request of the champion himself, a re-match for the AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Peso Completo between "Viceroy" Manjit Nimesh and El Sacerdote. If there's one thing that Manjit loves it's a challenging opponent and given last month's match between the two men, Manjit has decided that it'd be a treat for the fans as well as himself to face El Sacerdote again in one-on-one action.
"Bad" Bobby Taylor vs. Grey Fox
Grey Fox looks like he's ready to go as the match starts. He didn't wrestle on last month's card and he looks eager to get back into the ring here in the AMLL. The two men lock up, but Bobby Taylor is able to out muscle Grey Fox. He shows off a little technical prowess and uses his strength to chuck Grey Fox down to the mat with headlock takedowns and armdrags, following them with holds. Grey Fox is able to get back to his feet, but Taylor keeps hold of him and is able to muscle him back down again. Grey Fox does manage to get away from Taylor and gets things up to a higher speed, allowing him to get in offense and get out fast. He makes a mistake though, going for a doctor bomb and Taylor counters it with a huge spinebuster. He jumps up to the top rope and flies through the air hitting the flying headbutt for the pin.
Bobby Taylor pinned Grey Fox with the Flying Headbutt in 0:04:23. Rating: * 3/4
Grey Fox is definitely not happy with himself after the match. He had Bobby Taylor on the defensive, made one mistake and it was all over.
Esqueleto Azul & Triangulo (w/El Fabuloso) vs. Rey Brujo & El Demonio Mortal
Rey Brujo and El Demonio are most likely looking for one thing tonight and that thing is revenge. Not only have they lost the two matches that one or both have been involved in, but Esqueleto and El Fabuloso (and by association, Triangulo last month) made them look the fool both times. With rudo official Papi Blanco assigned to be the referee for the match, El Fabuloso has decided to accompany Triangulo and Esqueleto Azul down to the ring. The match quickly spilled to the outside and despite Triangulo and Rey Brujo being the legal men, El Demonio got involved and so Esqueleto Azul got involved too. Triangulo missed a big plancha attempt which opened the doors for Brujo and Demonio to double team Esqueleto. El Fabuloso tried to get involved, but Papi Blanco stopped him and threated to DQ his friends if he did anything. They rolled Triangulo back into the ring. Brujo played to the crowd a bit and then as Triangulo was getting to his feet he came off the top rope with a flying axhandle to take him back down. With a combination of Papi Blanco looking the other way when Brujo and Demonio used chokes and other illegal tactics they were able to hold control for most of the match. Triangulo and Esqueleto were able to mount a small comeback attempt but it was cut short when Demonio managed to counter a hiptoss attmept with a backslide and Papi Blanco made an extremely fast three count to give them the win.
Rey Brujo and El Demonio Mortal defeated Esqueleto Azul and Triangulo when Demonio Mortal pinned Triangulo after a backslide in 0:09:19. Rating: ** 3/4
Jose Escua vs. "Big" Bear Anderson
Jose Escuda may have had all the ladies in the crowd behind him, but Bear Anderson is an imposing foe to say the least. He chopped Bear and Bear just laughed and asked for more. Escuda hit the ropes and came back with a clothesline which Bear ducked. Anderson hit him with a big football tackle when Escuda rebounded. He tossed Escuda around like a rag doll and played to the booing crowd all the way. After getting a warning from referee Guervara for choking Escuda on the ropes, Anderson drew his thumb across his neck and finished him off with the piledriver.
Bear Anderson pinned Jose Escuda with the Piledriver in 0:03:03. Rating: ** 1/4
Before our next match starts, Maximo Tapia comes out to ringside for an interview with AMLL commentator and ring announcer Santiago Flores and his partner, color commentator Jacinto De Cabrea. Maximo Tapia is obviously not happy with how things turned out two months ago against Manjit Nimesh for the heavyweight title, but says that he used to be feared in the lucha libre world and he plans on once again being feared in the lucha libre world. Mask or no mask, he's determined to regain the same awe and respect that he had those years ago as El Maximo and that once he does that championship belt will be around his waist where it should be, no matter who is the title holder.
Hugo Xuarez & El Guerrero Rayo vs. Nasir al Din & Tizoc Jr. (w/El Rubio de America)
Tizoc Jr gets things started by blind siding El Guerrero Rayo before the opening bell which sends the crowd into a wave of boos right off the bat. Nasir al Din enters the ring to make it two on one. Hugo Xuarez enters to try and even things up, but gets ejected by Nasir to the outside. The referee warns El Rubio de America to leave Hugo alone, but while he's warning Rubio, Nasir and Tizoc Jr are having their way with Guerrero Rayo. The referee finally turns around and gets Nasir out of the ring, but the damage has been done. With El Rubio de America on the outside the match was essentially a three on two handicap match that has Xuarez and Guerrero Rayo playing catch up most of the time. Rubio pushed the envelope once too many times though and was ejected from ringside after tossing El Guerrero Rayo into the corner post on the outside. With blood dropping through Rayo's mask, Nasir rolled him back into the ring where Tizoc Jr. hit the Caida Aguila to get the victory.
Nasir al Din and Tizoc Jr. defeated Hugo Xuarez and El Guerrero Rayo when Tizoc Jr. pinned Guerrero Rayo with the Caida Aguila in 0:12:08. Rating: * 1/4 [El Rubio de America interfered against El Guerrero Rayo.]
Hirotada Jo vs. Lazaro Pascual
In their meeting last month, Jo showed that his striking game was above Lazaro's, but once Pascual got things into the grappling realm, he was able to out shine Hirotada. Hirotada knew exactly what to do and what not to do this time around and fired in kicks and punches and made sure to keep this a stand up contest. Pascual was able to get some takedowns and turn it into a grappling game where he was more comfortable, but Jo seemed a lot more adept at getting out of danger and back to a distance that was ideal for him. Lazaro became more and more frustrated as time went on and he let those fustrations cost him. Lazaro started to play Hirotada's game and the wrestling match turned into a big brawl that spilled to the outside. At this point neither wrestler seemed to care about the twnety count as they just continued to slug at eachother all around ringside. By the time the referee reached twenty and called for the bell both men were bleeding and didn't seem to be showing any signs of stopping at any point in the near future.
Hirotada Jo and Lazaro Pascual battled to a double countout in 0:12:30. Rating: ** 1/2
After the bell sounds and the result is announced, Hirotada Jo and Lazaro Pascual spilled into the crowd for a little bit and eventually disappeared behind the curtains to the side of the entrance way.
--Main Event for the AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Peso Completo-- El Sacerdote vs. "Viceroy" Manjit Nimesh (C)[/b]
The fans in the arena last month loved the meeting between El Sacerdote and the champion, Manjit Nimesh. Lucha libre magazines reported on it favorably too, but it wasn't for the fans that Nimesh requested this rematch. It's because if there's one thing the Viceroy loves it's a brutal fight against a worthy opponent. There aren't many men in the wrestling industry that have lost to Manjit and then had Manjit himself request a rematch. The match stayed pretty even for the length of the bout, though you could make the argument that the same amount, if not more spirit, heart and brutality as we saw last month was not only in this match, but was packed in even tighter in this shorter bout. El Sacerdote had Manjit on the defensive big time as Nimesh had to bail outside to try to catch a breather, only to be hit with a beautiful plancha. Sacerdote quickly rolled him back in and locked in the Cruz Mexicana. It seemed like Manjit surely had to tap out, but in an amazing show of force he powered out and hiptossed Sacerdote to the mat. Sacerdote got up quick and tried to whip Nimesh into the ropes while he was still trying to recover, but Manjit reversed it and nailed a face breaking big boot. He flipped Sacerdote over and applied the camel clutch. Sacerdote tried to hold on, but wasn't able to.
[Main Event: Re-Match]: Manjit Nimesh made El Sacerdote submit to the Camel Clutch in 0:10:45. Rating: ** 1/4 (Manjit Nimesh retained the AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Peso Completo.)
The referee put the title belt back around Nimesh's waist and Manjit extended his hand to Sacerdote in a show of respect for another great and hard fought match from both ends. Sacerdote accepts the hand shake and the crowd cheers. The celebration is interrupted, however, when Maximo Tapia appears at the entrance way. He pantomimes the belt being on his waist and it isn't difficult to see where Maximo's sights are set.

Tonight's card will feature five action packed matches. We'll see Esqueleto Azul face El Bucanero Negro as well as two matches that will serve as semifnals for the Campeonato Mundial de Parejas title that will be decided in one month in a dos de tres caidas match. Those two semifinals will feature Hirotada Jo and Bobby Taylor taking on Maximo Tapia and Lazaro Pascual and two men that have a great deal of respect for eachother, heavyweight champion Manjit Nimesh and El Sacerdote will team up to face Grey Fox and Danny Banderas. In the main event we'll see the Trios title on the line in a dos de tres caidas rules match as Nasir al Din, El Rubio de America and Tizoc Jr defend against Hugo Xuarez, El Guerrero Rayo and Triangulo, but first, we have El Fabuloso taking on Rey Brujo in singles action.
"Senor Atractivo" El Fabuloso vs. Rey Brujo (w/ El Demonio Mortal)
El Fabuloso started the match with his usual antics, which Rey Brujo was having none of. He quickly put an end to it with blunt force, lest Fabuloso make him look silly, which is something he and his minion Demonio Mortal are not too fond of. Rey Brujo almost let his brutality get in the way of winning as he came close to getting disqualified for not releasing a chokehold against the ropes. Brujo tried for a pin after a powerslam, but Fabuloso kicked out. Brujo signaled to his man on the outside, Demonion Mortal and Brujo proceeded to throw Fabuloso out of the ring. He distracted the referee long enough for Demonio Negro to clock Fabuloso with a vicious chair shot that ended up busting him open. Brujo and Demonio played to the crowd as they booed and the referee made the countout.
Rey Brujo defeated El Fabuloso by countout in 0:04:42. Rating: * 1/4 [El Demonio Mortal interfered against El Fabuloso.]
--Torneo de Campeonato Mundial de Parejas: Semifinal-- Hirotada Jo & "Bad" Bobby Taylor vs. Maximo Tapia & Lazaro Pascual[/b]
Hirotada Jo and Lazaro Pascual started the match off, but Pascual could see that Jo was ready to get his hands on him, so instead he smilled, wagged his finger "no" and tagged out to Maximo Tapia. Hirotada still had his attention on Lazaro, trying to coax him back into the ring and face him like a man when Tapia blindisded him. Tapia kept the pressure on big time and despite efforts, Jo wasn't able to turn things around. Tapia tagged out to Pascual and then knocked Taylor to the floor and hit a somersault plancha from the apron onto "Bad" Bobby as Pascual took control over the already hurting Jo. Pascual goes for a cross-body which Jo is able to counter with a powerslam for two. He was able to make a hot tag to Taylor who had found his way back onto the ring apron. He knocked Lazaro on his backside with a punch and then he was up against for a second. As Taylor tried to whip Lazaro into the ropes, Maximo made a blind tag. Taylor was able to lay Lazaro out with a clothesline but turned around into a big flying dropkick. Tapia calls for the Pulpo and locks it in, forcing Taylor to submit.
[Torneo de Campeonato Mundial de Parejas: Semifinal]: Maximo Tapia and Lazaro Pascual defeated Hirotada Jo and Bobby Taylor when M. Tapia made Taylor submit to the Pulpo in 0:06:20. Rating: ** 1/4
Esqueleto Azul vs. El Bucanero Negro
The bout started off with action from the very start. Bucanero wasn't about to let himself be sucked into Esqueleto's games. Bucanero has control of things, but Esqueleto turns things around with counters and before you know it he seems one step ahead of Bucanero's offense. While he's not doing much physical damage, it has to be taking a psychological toll of some sort. Azul grabs Bucanero's arm and runs up the top rope, coming off with a big armdrag. Buncanero seems to be hurt as referee Papi Blanco checks on him. Blanco calls for the bell and motions for EMTs to come to the ring.
Esqueleto Azul and El Bucanero Negro battled to a no contest in 0:03:01. El Bucanero Negro tore his right biceps. He will be out for approximately 5 months. Rating: *
While El Bucanero Negro was genuinely hurt, you have to think that rudo referee Papi Blanco put an end to the match so quickly and ruled it a no contest to keep El Bucanero Negro from suffering a loss.
--Torneo de Campeonato Mundial de Parejas: Semifinal-- "Viceroy" Manjit Nimesh & El Sacerdote vs. Grey Fox & Danny Banderas[/b]
Danny Banderas and El Sacerdote started things off in the ring together. Banderas tried to get the jump on Sacerdote early with chops and punches, but Sacerdote weathered the storm and when he started firing back with his own chops and punches the crowd erupted. He finished off his combo with a big back suplex. Banderas popped back up as fast as he could, but it was obvious that suplex had dazed him a little as he threw a wild punch which Sacerdote easily countered with a crucifix for two. He tagged in Nimesh and the two whipped Banderas into the ropes, hit a double elbowsmash and then a double elbowdrop. Grey Fox got in the ring and ejected El Sacerdote, before himself getting ejected by Nimesh. Banderas tried to take advantage of Nimesh's attention being turned to Grey Fox, but wasn't able to capitalize on it beyond a few strikes as Manjit hit him with a big hiptoss. Manjit tagged El Sacerdote back in and after a double spinebuster, Sacerdote locked in the Cruz Mexicana. Banderas was hurting big time but Grey Fox was able to get in and break the hold before Banderas tapped out. Sacerdote tried for a bodyslam, but Banderas got behind him as he lifted him up and rolled him up for a surprise pin attempt that got him two before Sacerdote flung him off. Grey Fox was begging for the tag as he was still completely fresh, but Sacerdote was able to get Nimesh tagged in first and Manjit cut Banderas off from his partner. He whipped him into the ropes and hit a big boot and right away flipped him over for the camel clutch. Grey Fox went up top to fly in and break the pin, but Sacerdtore dropkicked his legs out from under him, crotching him on the turnbuckle as Banderas submitted.
[Torneo de Campeonato Mundial de Parejas: Semifinal]: Manjit Nimesh and El Sacerdote defeated Grey Fox and Danny Banderas when Nimesh made Banderas submit to the Camel Clutch in 0:07:20. Rating: *** 1/2
--Main Event: Dos de Tres Caidas for the AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Trios-- El Guerrero Rayo, Hugo Xuarez & Triangulo vs. Nasir al Din, El Rubio de America & Tizoc Jr (C)[/b]
The first fall of the match started with El Guerrero Rayo and El Rubio de America in the ring. Both men were trying to hit eachother and each was doing a good job of keeping his opponent from hitting him until a well placed poke to the eye from Rebio. Referee Guervara tried to keep things on the up and up, but Rubio, Tizoc and Nasir have become adept at the art of distraction, allowing their teammate to do whatever he wants without worry of getting disqualified. It's not that Xuarez, Rayo and Triangulo weren't putting on a good effort, it was just an uphill battle given that they play fair despite what their opponents do. Xuarez was able to mount a short comeback, but Rubio ended it with a back suplex that he held onto for a pin and was able to get the three count.
He celebrated, but was livid when he found out that the referee had ruled it a double pin because Rubio's shoulders were on the mat too. He threw such a fit that the challengers were able to take control of the match. It was clutch time as a pin or submission on either side would result in that side being named the victors. They were able to keep Rubio in the ring and kept him from tagging out, but he was able to get a tag to Tizoc Jr. Tizoc whipped El Guerrero Rayo into the corner and started trying to rip off his mask. The referee got inbetween them and issued a warning to Tizoc Jr. As he was doing this Nasir al Din pulled the gold spike out of his boot and smashed the business end into Rayo's face. Tizoc Jr. took his extremely dazed and fairly limp out from against the turnbuckles and used a bodyslam to position him for the Caida Aguila and the pinfall.
[Main Event]: Dos de Tres Caidas Match: El Rubio de America, Tizoc Jr. and Nasir al Din beat El Guerrero Rayo, Hugo Xuarez and Triangulo 2 falls to 1: -----x double pin (Rubio and Xuarez) in 0:08:07 -----x Tizoc Jr. beat Guerrero Rayo via the Caida Aguila in 0:15:12 Rating: ** (El Rubio de America, Tizoc Jr. and Nasir al Din retained the AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Trios.)

Tonight's card with feature some great lucha libre action. We'll see one third of the Trios champions Tizoc Jr in singles action, as well as Bear Anderson, Hirotada Jo and Bobby Taylor. Our big main event of the evening will see Manjit Nimesh and El Sacerdote taking on Maximo Tapia and Lazaro Pascual in a dos de tres caidas match for the vacant AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Parejas. First though, we'll start things off with a tag team bout between four men who haven't gotten along since day one.
El Fabuloso & Esqueleto Azul vs. El Demonio Mortal & Rey Brujo
El Demonio Mortal and Rey Brujo were not in a mood to play around tonight. They made sure that the action started before Fabuloso and Esqueleto Azul were able to get their antics going. Suprisingly is managed to stay pretty much all business and Fabuloso was kept in the ring and away from his corner. Once he was able to tag out and bring Esqueleto in they started to get on the offensive until Brujo distracted him long enough to allow Demonio to hit a big kick to the back followed by a backbreaker and the Cavernaria. Esqueleto seemed to be fighting his way out, but Papi Blanco claimed that he submitted and called for the bell! The crowd booed and Esqueleto wasn't happy, but as Demonio, Brujo and Blanco headed to the back he figured that going after them now wouldn't be in his best interest.
Rey Brujo and El Demonio Mortal defeated El Fabuloso and Esqueleto Azul when Demonio Mortal made Esqueleto Azul submit to the Cavernaria in 0:09:54. Rating: ***
After the match, a man came out in a long black judge's robe holding a gavel. He asked for a microphone and introduced himself (for those that didn't already know) as El Juez! (The Judge) He said that he was asked by El Bucanero Negro to rule on whether or not Bucanero's injury at the hands of Esqueleto was a malicious act or just an accident. He asked the crowd, who obviously cheered for accident and Esqueleto agreed with them. He may like to be silly and make his opponents look dumb, but that's a little different than purposefully putting them on the shelf for a few months with an injury. El Juez said he has thought it over and weighed the evidence and his verdict? GUILTY! And with that he clocked Esqueleto Azul over the head with his gavel
Jose Escuda vs. "El Aguila Sagrada" Tizoc Jr. (w/ Nasir al Din)
Tizoc Jr. started things off by attacking Escuda before the referee had a chance to ring the bell, which is pretty close to the story of the match: Tizoc Jr doesn't play fair. Despite having size on his side already, he likes to tip favor even further onto his side whether humanly possible. With Nasir al Din at ringside and Papi Blanco as the referee, the deck was pretty stacked against Escuda to beging with. Tizoc Jr put an end to it with the Caida Aguila and a very arrogant pin.
Tizoc Jr. pinned Jose Escuda with the Caida Aguila in 0:03:15. Rating: * 3/4 [Nasir al Din interfered against Jose Escuda.]
Hirotada Jo vs. Danny Banderas
Danny Banderas wasn't the matchup that Hirotada Jo wanted. Who he really wanted was Lazaro Pascual as they have some unfinished business with eachother which Jo would very much like to put an end to indeed. Pascual, however, is tied up in tonight's main event for the tag titles so Hirotada was left with the option of using Banderas to send a message to Pascual. Jo came at him fast and furious with his martial arts kicks and chops and Banderas was quickly put on the defensive in unfamiliar waters. He didn't seem to quite know how to turn things around for himself against this kind of offense. His onslaught was enough to get him the three count when he finally rolled Banderas up with the Japonito Cradle.
Hirotada Jo pinned Danny Banderas with the Japonito Cradle in 0:04:24. Rating: ** 1/4
"Bad" Bobby Taylor vs. "Big" Bear Anderson
This match featured two men from north of the Mexican border and it wasn't the first time that these two had met, though the other times had been in the United States. They hadn't found themselves on the otherside of the ring from eachother a lot, but when they had their bouts had gone down as brutal ones. This one wasn't much different and featured a good deal of brawling from the two, with Bobby trying to add power into the mix. He had Bear on the figurative ropes after catching him with a big enzuigiri and tried to finish the match by going up top for the flying headbutt. He got up to the top turnbuckle and sailed off only to hit empty canvas as Anderson rolled himself away just in time. Bear used that opportunity to take control and ended the match with his patented piledriver.
Bear Anderson pinned Bobby Taylor with the Piledriver in 0:05:50. Rating: * 1/4
--Main Event: Dos de Tres Caidas for the AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Parejas-- "Viceroy" Manjit Nimesh & El Sacerdote vs. Maximo Tapia & Larazro Pascual[/b]
All four of these men are well respected in the world of lucha libre. Tapia seems bound and determined to regain the same glory he saw while he was still masked earlier in his career and doesn't mind taking out Manjit or Sacerdote to get it and Lazaro has a family reputation of talented wrestlers to uphold. Of course, neither Pascual nor Tapia mind using a few underhanded tactics if they have to in order to get the job done. Pascual attacks Manjit before the bell and he and Tapia do an extremely good job of keeping Nimesh hurting and isolated from his corner. Once Manjit is finally able to make a hot tag to El Sacerdote it's a different story though. Sacerdote comes in like a ball of fire and sends Tapia to the outside and quickly tears down Pascual with quick armdrags and spinning headscissors. He locks in the Cruz Mexicana in the middle of the ring and Pascual gives in, giving Sacerdote and Nimesh the first fall.
At the start of the second fall, Lazaro tries to regain some footing, but Sacerdote puts a stop to it quickly. It looks like Sacerdote and Nimesh may be able to wrap this match up without going to a third fall until Lazaro hits a low blow on Sacerdote. He tries to rip Sacerdote's mask off, but realizes that a disqualification for unmasking Sacerdote will result in them winning the titles so he doesn't push it with referee Guarvera. He tags in Tapia who dropkicks Nimesh off the apron. Lazaro jumps onto him with a plancha just to make sure he can't interfere and Tapia locks in the Pulpo for the second fall to tie things up.
With things tied up at one fall each, this final fall is for all the marbles. The action quickly spilled outside of the ring and turned into a messy brawl with all four men getting involved. Manjit Nimesh and Maximo Tapia were almost counted out, but rolled back into the ring at 19 while Sacerdote and Pascual continued slugging it out ringside. Tapia gouged Manjit's eyes and tried for a side suplex, but Nimesh blocks it and quickly hits a gutwrench suplex and floats over for the pin. Tapia kicks out a split second too late!
[Main Event]: Dos de Tres Caidas Match for the vacant AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Parejas: Manjit Nimesh and El Sacerdote beat Maximo Tapia and Lazaro Pascual 2 falls to 1 ----x Sacerdote beat L. Pascual via the Cruz Mexicana in 0:10:32 ----x M. Tapia beat Sacerdote via the Pulpo in 0:16:54 ----x Nimesh beat M. Tapia via a gutwrench suplex in 0:21:48 Rating: ** 3/4 (Manjit Nimesh and El Sacerdote won the AMLL Campeonato Mundial de Parejas.)
As Manjit Nimesh and El Sacerdote celebrate their win, Tapia grabs one of the tag titles belts away from the referee. He lines up Manjit and as soon as he turns around he clocks him right in the face with the belt and Manjit goes down hard. Maximo bails before Sacerdote can extract any kind of revenge for the attack on his teammate.
