Breaking News
"Dynamite" David Smith was rushed to an Atlanta hospital after overdosing on cocaine during an all-night party after Starrcade. WCWF immediately fired Smith, although they have offered to pay for him to go rehab. That means the WCWF World Tag Team Titles are going to be vacated.
Dreadnaut is inconsolable right now, having had two full-time tag team partners flake out on him in less than three months. His future with WCWF is uncertain, through no real fault of his own.
From The Dirt Sheets
WCWF was pleased with how Hell On Wheels responded to their firing earlier this year and their subsequent behavior on the indy scene. Management considers them sufficiently punished for their misbehavior.
Randy "The Ram" Robinson has been cleared to return to the ring since shortly after Fall Brawl, but was taking personal time in preparation for a big return in January. He came back early due to other booking changes stemming from legitimate injuries to other wrestlers. The original plan was for Robinson to regain the title from Logan in the main event of Wrestlemania II.

WCWF Saturday Night #73 - aired Nov 30, 1985
The announcers recap the events of Starrcade. Hell on Wheels returned, British Steel won the World Tag Titles, and Randy "The Ram" Robinson returned to regain the World Heavyweight Title. However, there are issues stemming from the PPV which Commissioner Gonzalez will address later in the show.
Moose Hartley pinned Dave Austin with the Skullcrusher in 0:04:01. Rating: * 3/4
Daron Cline pinned Vaughn Parsons with the Steep Incline in 0:04:13. Rating: -** 3/4
Greg Gamble pinned Ben Yates with the Big Gamble in 0:02:43. Rating: -1/4*
Frank Gresham interviews Commissioner Pedro Gonazlez. Due to both falls in the triangle match for the TV Title involving a disqualification, the title has been held up, and announcement about it will be made at a later date. More urgently, the World Tag Titles have been vacated due to "health issues." There will be an 16-team single-elimination tournament starting next week and concluding at the January PPV. That supercard will be a PPV called the Royal Rumble. The main event of the show will be a special match of the same name, a variation of a battle royal. The winner of the Rumble gets a World Heavyweight Title shot at Wrestlemania II!
The Detroit Connection (Joe Dean and Steve Hecker) defeated Mark Dunlap and Ben Yates when Dean defeated Dunlap by countout in 0:03:54. Rating: -1/2*
Stan Trump made Alvin Ayers submit to the Million Dollar Dream in 0:03:51. Rating: ***
The Awesome McKnight Brothers (Bruce McKnight and Ralph McKnight) defeated Drew Farley and Dudley Snyder when Ravishing Ralph pinned Farley with the Sexy Slam in 0:01:24. Rating: **
Interview with Randy "The Ram" Robinson. He's happy to be back and thankful to be World Heavyweight Champion again. After recovering from the injury he suffered this summer he was spending extra time with his family, but came back early to give the fans what they desperately wanted: an end to Bulk Logan's title reign! He thinks the Royal Rumble will be very exciting for the fans and looks forward to defending the title against the winner at Wrestlemania.
Harold Hume pinned Teddy Walls with the Claymore in 0:02:10. Rating: -* 1/2
The announcers discuss Commissioner Gonzalez's earlier announcement. They conclude that we'll be seeing some pairings, returning teams, and new arrivals to complete the field. Perhaps Hell on Wheels returned to WCWF just in time?
Speaking of returns and debuts, the Soviet National Anthem signals the return of Ivan Morowski, who briefly held the WCWF World Heavyweight Title in the 1970s. He's walks to the ring with the aid of a cane. Frank Gresham interviews him there. Morowski declares that he has returned from great Soviet Union to crush America and capitalism. He is no longer physically able to wrestle so instead he has brought with him a great specimin of the next generation of superior Soviet strength. "Behold, the Russian Bear awakens!" The anthem starts up again and out marches a big, hairy, menacing Russian man in a red wrestling singlet.
Russian Bear pinned J.C. Magnum after a lariat in 0:03:46. Rating: * 1/2
Magnum got mauled, culminating him being hit so hard with a big lariat that he was literally thrown for a loop. Bear pinned Magnum with one foot. After the match, Morowski gets in the ring to celebrate with his protoge. When Magnum starts to get up, Morowski beats him down with the cane. Veronia begs for mercy at ringside then finally gets in the ring on her knees to beg further. Morowski threatens to cane her too and she cowers in terror, but he doesn't deliver on the threat. The Soviet duo back off and let Veronica check on Magnum. Then Morowski change his mind and directs Russian Bear to grab Veronica, a woman he towers over by a foot in height and probably outweighs 3:1. The Bear pulls Veronica up by the hair.
Bret Hale charges the ring to make the save, but gets taken out by a cane shot from Morowski. However, Corporal Punishment is close on his heels, with Steve Hecker, Joe Dean, and Moose Hartley following. Morowski recognizes the numbers disadvantage. Bear knocks Veronica down and the two Soviets bail out of the ring as the show ends while the crowd loudly chants "U-S-A!"

[Dark Match]: Wolfie Brown pinned Jose Castro with the Roundabout in 0:12:36. Rating: **** 1/2 (Teddy Walls no-showed.)
The announcers recap the end of last week's show. Ivan Morowski returned to WCWF with a protege, obliterated J. C. Magnum, and threatened violence against his valet, Veronica. Morowski has been warned by Commissioner Gonzalez that assaulting women will not be tolerated.
Zack Sabre pinned Antwan Soto with the Sharpest Cut in 0:05:29. Rating: -*** 1/2
Sabre is a technical wrestler billed as "The Sharpest Wrestler." His methodical style did not go over well in his debut.
Frank Gresham interviews Brett Hale and Corporal Punishment who announce their participation in the tag titles tournament.
Bad Wolf Bridges pinned Irving Dixon with the Comanche Driver in 0:01:06. Rating: 1/4*
Frank Gresham interviews Hanoi Xan and The Orient Express. Xan says the tag titles were vacated as a result of "Western decadence" and should have been returned to The Orient Express. His widsom will guide the team back to the championships.
Baron Von Kaiser pinned Marc Gentry with the Kaiser Roll in 0:02:41. Rating: * 1/2
Vignette from "Million Dollar" Stan Trump. There has been some "corporate restructuring" at Trump Internatinal. He'll be bankrolling a team in the tag titles tournament.
Rick Blood defeated Grover Delgado when Grover Delgado passed out in the Blood Simple in 0:03:55. Rating: ** 1/2
Interview with Rick Samson. He can't believe Alpha Bravo would stoop so low as trying to choke him out with an electrical cord at Starrcade! Samson challenges Bravo to a strap match at Saturday Night's Main Event, and promises to whip the hell out of him in the process!
Rick Samson pinned Tory McCormick after a bridging back suplex in 0:02:03. Rating: **

Sabre's methodical technical work fared better this time.
Interview: World Heavyweight Champion Randy "The Ram" Robinson accepts Chris Reese's challenge.
Russian Bear made Marc Gentry submit to the Russian Bearhug in 0:00:45. Rating: *
Bear completely demolished the jobber, giving him zero offense. Gentry quickly submitted to the crushing bearhug, but manager Ivan Morowski directed him to keep the hold locked him. Gentry screamed in pain then passed out. Bear ragdolled his limp opponent then casually tossed him across the ring. Morowski is clearly out not just to win, but to hurt.
Interview: Jammin' Jimmy Blast talks about the blood, sweat, and broken bodies at Starrcade. Worst of all he couldn't protect Veronica. He's done some soul-searching the last few weeks, and also made some calls to find some "hired guns." He introduces two men that will watch his back and keep Veronica safe, and maybe take home the tag titles in the process: "Dirty" Harry Weston and "Outlaw" Clint Wales aka Magnum Force! The duo deliver some Clint Eastwood catchphrases, for anyone who doesn't get it.
Johnny Valentine pinned Dudley Snyder with the Skull Smasher in 0:02:52. Rating: * 1/2
Interview: Mean Massimo responds to Jimmy Blast's comments last week. That was the second time Blast has challenged Massimo's manhood; there wont be a third. Massimo apologizes for nothing. Harold Hume pinned Ben Yates with the Claymore in 0:03:29. Rating: -3/4*

"Million Dollar" Stan Trump came out before the next match and mocked The Jolly Green Giant. Instead of sending mountains of get-well-soon cards to Jolly the fans should have asked Santa to bring them a new "ugly, stupid oaf" for Christmas. "And looking at how fat and ugly you people are it's not like you were listening to him when he told you to eat your vegetables!" Trump introduces his "investment" in the tag team tournament, Raymond Buck and Oliver Nash.
[Tag Titles Tournament]: Magnum Force (Clint Wales and Harry Weston) defeated Oliver Nash and Raymond Buck when Outlaw Wales defeated R-Buck by countout in 0:05:13. Rating: DUD
Stan Trump was in the corner of his team while J. C. Magnum and Veronica were of course in Magnum Force's corner. During the match, Trump approached Veronica during the match and appeared to make a cash offer for certain services. Veronica slapped Trump. J. C. Magnum stepped him and it looked like a fight was about to break out at ringside between him and Million Dollar Stan. This drew Buck and Nash out of the ring to his aid...
...and then "Big In Japan" started to play. The crowd exploded as The Jolly Green Giant returned to WCWF! A look of absolute terror crossed Stan Trump's face and the camera caught a wet spot forming on the front of his pants! He immediately ordered Nash and Buck to abandon the match and attack Jolly. A argument ensued, but they obeyed. Magnum Force stayed in the ring as the ref counted their opponents out!
Nash and Buck approached Jolly cautiously, but he short work of both of them. Trump ran for his life in the opposite direction. The Jolly Green Giant got in the ring to the cheers of the crowd as the show went off the air.

News & Rumors
The December MSG Show featuring all tag matches was a success. WCWF may try the concept again in the future, perhaps with some kind of variation on the standard six-man tag match.
It remains to be seen how well Zack Sabre will make the adjust from the UK to WCWF. If it doesn't work out maybe someday he'll have a son that can carry on his legacy...

Royal Rumble PPV Preview
Cage Match: The Jolly Green Giant vs. "Million Dollar" Stan Trump Back at Wrestlemania I, The Jolly Green Giant served as Enforcer in a TV Title Match between Trump and Sol Salmanca. Jolly prevented interference by Isileli Kaelo, Trump's bodyguard/goon. In preventing this interference, Jolly both cost Trump a championship and damaged his "investment." Trump placed a bounty on the Giant that some tried to collect throughout the year, without success. Jolly got DQ wins over Kaelo and Trump's legal team before Mean Massimo delivered The Chairshot Heard Round The World at The Wrestling Classic. Trump gloated at Jolly's misfortune, only to have Jolly's return distract Trump and deny him any chance of Trump International winning the tag titles tournament. Trump is being forced into this match against his will. The Jolly Green Giant wants to finish Million Dollar Stan once and for all before moving on to Mean Massimo, with a challenge already made for Wrestlemania II.
WCWF World Tag Team Titles - Tournament Final: The American Express vs. The Awesome McKnight Brothers The McKnights, a couple of cocky heels from Nova Scotia, debuted several months ago and have looked sharp ever since. The American Express are unlikely finalists. A year ago, Brett Hale was part of The Midnight Resistance with Carl Stryker, son of WCWF legend Jake Stryker. The team broke up and the Strykers are both gone now from WCWF. Hale has floundered a bit since then, but consistently fought the good fight. He offered friendship to Cpl. Punishment, persuading him to turn face and team up just in time for the tag tournament. Early this month, Hanoi Xan sprewed black mist in Hale's face. Since then Hale has attacked two other wrestlers - Rick Blood (belated revenge) and Wally Richter (part of Xan's Syndicate stable). Can The American Express cinderella story culminate in championship gold or will Hale prove a weak link the McKnights can exploit?
I-Quit Match: Jammin' Jimmy Blast vs. Mean Massimo Massimo spent last year as a loose cannon, delivering vicious beatings and attacks often seemingly at random. He beat his former mentor, WCWF legend Mario Mancini, at Wrestlemania I. He came up short against Jimmy Blast in the summer, but injured Blast at Fall Brawl, causing Blast to forfeit the US Title. Blast and Massimo would be headed for a grudge match for that alone, but then Massimo took out The Jolly Green Giant at The Wrestling Classic. Jolly's friends teamed up to fight Massimo, beating Massimo's team in War Games at Starrcade. Massimo is unrepentant about what happened resulting in this showdown.
WCWF United States Title: Bruiser Barton vs. Bonesaw McGraw (c) Rematch from Starrcade. Barton has been dominant and won the inaugural King of the Ring tournament then the title tournament at The Wrestling Classic. Bonesaw debuted last year and has been been quite impressive, including beating Barton in his first title defense.
WCWF World Heavyweight Tite: Randy "The Ram" Robinson (c) vs. "The Natural" Chris Reese Nobody believes Reese's physique or hair color are natural, but that doesn't stop his bragging. He's a former United States Champion who has shown he can deliver in the ring, both in terms of wins and entertainment. Robinson lost the World Title at Wrestlemania I, but has bounced back. An injury sidelined him for a few months, but he returned at Starrcade to regain the championship. The Ram's first reign lasted over a year and neither he nor the fans want this reign to end after only two months.
The Royal Rumble 30 men enter, but only one is leaving with a title shot at Wrestlemania II. Two men will start and another will enter every two minutes afterwards. No specific entrants have been announced. Most of the roster will participate except that nobody will be pulling double duty on the show which opens up the field.

Royal Rumble '86 Feb 1, 1986 (aired live on PPV) Baltimore Arena, Baltimore, MD
John Elliott and Robbie Atkinson welcome us to the first ever Royal Rumble event. They run down the card and discuss favorites to win the Rumble. Elliott thinks Rick Samson might be too strong for anyone to throw him out. Atkinson suggests Bulk Logan will cheat his way to victory.
Cage Match: The Jolly Green Giant pinned Stan Trump with the Giant Bomb in 0:05:04. Rating: DUD
Million Dollar Stan tried to bribe Jolly to let him go and got laughed off. This was exactly the one-sided beating you might expect: Trump getting thrown around all around the ring and into the cage, getting the stuffing beat out of him.
Match for the vacant WCWF Tag Team Titles: The Awesome McKnight Brothers (Bruce McKnight and Ralph McKnight) defeated The American Express (Brett Hale and Cpl. Punishment) when Bullet Bruce pinned Punishment after a flying kneedrop in 0:06:13. Rating: 3/4* (The Awesome McKnight Brothers won the WCWF Tag Team Titles.)
The tag tag titles tournament ended a bit anti-climatically. Hale and Punishment were clearly not on the same page, with Hale walking out on his partner during the match. Punishment put up a good fight, but there was no way he could win this by himself, even with his experience.
I-Quit Match: Mean Massimo made Jimmy Blast submit to a hammerlock in 0:20:47. Rating: ***
A vicious brawl. During a brawl on the outside, Massimo repeatedly slammed Blast's army into the ringpost. He got the victory later in the match after unhooking one of the turnbuckles and hitting Blast in the shoulder with it. Massimo pinned Blast face-down on the map and applied a hammerlock to the injured arm. With no escape, Blast had to submit.
Bruiser Barton pinned Bonesaw McGraw with the Calf Branding in 0:14:56. Rating: ** 3/4 (Bruiser Barton won the WCWF United States Title.)
Randy Robinson pinned Chris Reese with the Ram Jam in 0:10:28. Rating: ** 1/4 (Randy Robinson retained the WCWF World Heavyweight Title.)

Some impressive performances here as Bulk Logan returns from losing the World Title at Starrcade and nearly earns a rematch with an unlike iron man performance. Wally Richter was an absolute monster, personally eliminating seven participants. Rocky Hendrix returned to action for the first time since tearing his ACL back in May, although his time in the Rumble didn't amount to much. "Irregardless" Russ Romero came in at #30, which he made a big deal about. Ultimately it was veteran Johnny "Bloody" Valentine who got a lucky late entry at #29 and used his cunning to clean house at the end. He will be a serious challenge for Randy Robinson at Wrestlemania!

Booker's Note: I'm tired of scheduling all the squash matches thus WCWF Saturday Night results wont be posted here for the foreseeable future. The show is still airing weekly though, along with various syndicated programming. Important events on the weekly TV shows will be covered by the PPV previews.
Wrestlemania II Preview
High Energy vs. The Butchers The Butchers came in has hired guns for Mean Massimo's team at War Games and have stuck around. Gibson and Dynamo beat Rollins and Richards when the teams met in the tag titles tournament. Although High Energy triumphed, The Butchers paid back the loss with interference in the next round that knocked High Energy out of the tournament.
Rocky Hendrix vs Bulk Logan Logan disappeared from TV for two months after losing the World Heavyweight Title, returning at the Royal Rumble where he delivered a strong performance in the titular match. On the following WCWF Saturday Night, Logan cut a promo in which he whined about how he had been screwed out of his title. WCWF tried to crucify him out of jealousy, but the Bulkster is bigger than Jesus so he Bulked Up, ripped those nails out of his hands, and is going to slam Judas The Ram straight to hell, brother! After that sacrilegious promo, Logan spent February and March bullying and squashing enhancement talent. Rocky Hendrix, returned from knee injury, had a weak showing in the Royal Rumble, but has been winning his matches since then. He doesn't like bullies and challenged Logan to face him line a man at Wrestlemania.
Moose Hartley vs. "The Natural" Chris Reese Hartley, a Canadian gold medalist, is new to pro wrestling but has so far looked solid. After the Royal Rumble, Chris Reese taunted Hartley about his quick elimination at the hands of B. A. Brakkas. Hartley reminded Reese of his own failure to win the World Heavyweight Title at the Royal Rumble, and subsequently beat Brakkas clean in a rematch on SNME. Both young men think they're the future of pro wrestling - something Reese won hesitate to tell you and while Moose will more often show you.
Rick Samson vs Wally Richter Samson proved himself a stronger man than Alpha Bravo, which prompted Richter to forcibly demonstrate he is the bigger man - literally! The Syndicate attacked Rick Samson on WCWF Saturday Night. With The Orient Express holding Samson chest-first against the turnbuckles, Richter delivered three big avalanches. Samson had the wind knocked out of him and suffered a bruised sternum. Samson is eager to get his hands on Richter.
J.C. Magnum vs Russian Bear Under the tutelage of former WCWF World Heavyweight Champion Gen. Ivan Morowski, newcomer Russian Bear has been tearing through opponents over the last four months. Magnum was his first victim and his valet/girlfriend Veronica was almost the Bear's second. The beating humbled Magnum. He brought in the team Magnum Force as backup and, after issuing a challenge to Russian Bear for a rematch at Wrestlemania, has been training harder than he ever has before. This is going to be a David vs. Goliath battle.
Cpl. Punishment vs "The Dark Prince" Brett Hale After years as a heel, Punishment finally changed his ways, in part because of the encouragement and friendship of Brett Hale. The duo formed The American Express and entered the tag titles tournament. In a DQ win over The Orient Express, Hanoi Xan sprayed black mist in Hale's face. That mist must have contained some kind of dark magic that has corrupted the former All-American. Hale steadily became everything he once hated and abandoned Punishment during the tag tournament finals at the Royal Rumble. Hale declared himself "The Dark Prince" and subsequently joined Hanoi Xan's Syndicate. Gone are his blonde hair and red, white, and blue ring gear; both are now black. In one promo, he likened himself to Arthur and Xan to Merlin - a twisted interpretation to be sure. Hale's stated goal is now the conquest of WCWF. Cpl. Punishment was stunned by this betrayal and hopes to beat some sense into his erstwhile partner.
The Jolly Green Giant def. Mean Massimo Mean Massimo's chaotic behavior climaxed at The Wrestling Classic when he delivered The Chairshot Heard 'Round The World, laying out The Jolly Green Giant. Everyone assumed the attack was to collect Stan Trumps bounty on the Giant, but Massimo has insisted he doesn't care about the money. He did it for the notoriety; to make adults angry and to make children cry. He still has no remorse for what he did. Jolly dispensed with Trump at the Royal Rumble and has been eager to get his hands on Massimo at Wrestlemania. To his credit, Massimo has not backed down from the challenge; he's mean as hell but he's not a coward.
WCWF United States Title - 2/3 Falls: Bruiser Barton (c) vs Bonesaw McGraw Barton had a great year, including winning the first King of the Ring tournament, that culminated in winning the one-night US Title Tournament at The Wrestling Classic. However, at Starrcade '85 Barton lost the title to Bonesaw McGraw who was undefeated since his mid-year WCWF debut. They had a rematch at Royal Rumble where Barton won the title back. They've continued to feud all the way to Wrestlemania. They will go for the best 2 out of 3 falls in an effort to decisively settle things.
WCWF World Tag Titles: Bad News vs. The Awesome McKnight Brothers (c) The obnoxious but talented McKnights are undefeated, including a strong showing in the tag titles tournament, which they ultimately won. They face a tough challenge from Eddie Bearden and Porkchop Jones. Bearden has challenged or nearly challenged for the World Heavyweight Title several times, and Jones has a previous tag title reign as one half of Soul Patrol. If not for an injury Eddie suffered a few months ago he have become the first ever black world champion. Although he was able to return in time for the tag titles tournament, the injury probably hampered him there.
WCWF World Heavyweight Title: Randy "The Ram" Robinson (c) vs Johnny "Bloody" Valentine Robinson left the first Wrestlemania dethroned as world champion. He bounced back (including a second victory over the dreaded Ayatollah) only to suffer an injury. He made a surprise return at Starrcade '85 to get the title back from Bulk Logan. Robinson is a white meat babyface that the fans love. Johnny "Bloody" Valentine, notorious for his early years as one half of The Painbringers with his mentor, Carl "The Crippler" Stevens, returned to WCWF last year. He picked up where he left off in terms of his sadistic tendencies. Valentine won the first Royal Rumble to get this shot. Although he had the advantage of entering at #29, Valentine dominated the end of the match with his mix of technical prowess and underhanded tactics. He even ambushed and laid out the champ during an interview segment on WCWF Saturday Night. Don't underestimate this challenger; The Ram certain wont!

Wrestlemania II April 6, 1986 Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, Los Angeles, CA live on pay-per-view
Announcers John Elliott and Robbie Atkinson welcome us to Wrestlemania II. They run down the card and point out some celebtries in attendence, then Ray Charles sings "America The Beautiful."
Sol Salamanca made Baron Von Kaiser submit to a Fujiwara armbar in 0:05:45. Rating: ****
Jimmy Blast pinned Bad Wolf Bridges after the Blaster in 0:08:29. Rating: ***
Blast used a piledriver off the top rope to finish this match, the same as he did at last year's Wrestlemania. However, that was the end to a blod feud street fight. John Elliott questioned the use of such a brutal move in a relatively low-stakes match, but Robbie Atkinson responded that you do whatever it takes to win every match.
Bulk Logan pinned Rocky Hendrix with the Blockbuster in 0:05:29. Rating: -3/4*
Moose Hartley pinned Rick Blood with the Skullcrusher in 0:07:02. Rating: **** 1/4 (Chris Reese no-showed.)
Blood was clearly more concerned with trying to hurt Hartley than win. The announcers speculated whether this was a plan by Reese to soften Hartley up for a match in the near future.
[Managers Banned From Ringside] J.C. Magnum pinned Russian Bear with the Magnum SK in 0:04:28. Rating: * 1/2
Bear seemed uncertain without Ivan Morowski's ringside guidance, but still provided a major challenge because of the size disadvantage.
Rick Samson made Wally Richter submit to a backbreaker submission in 0:12:20. Rating: **
Speaking of absent managers, Hanoi Xan did not accompany Richter to ringside for this match. It was a slow power match. Samson couldn't get Richter up for the Body Vice, but he was able to deliver a series of backbreakers then held the last one for a submission victory.
We go to Magnum Force's locker room where Harry Weston and Clint Wales are being tended to after being attacked. Veronia is missing and J. C. Magnum is visibily upset.
High Energy (Mark Gibson and Rob Dynamo) defeated The Butchers (Doug Rollins and Frank Richards) when Gibson pinned Dastardly Doug with the Headhunter in 0:08:06. Rating: ** 1/4
Brett Hale pinned Cpl. Punishment with the Black Reign in 0:07:47. Rating: 1/2*
The Jolly Green Giant pinned Mean Massimo with the Giant Bomb in 0:06:09. Rating: DUD
Massimo never backed down, but an angry giant was too much even for him.
Bad News (Eddie Bearden and Porkchop Jones) defeated The Awesome McKnight Brothers (Bruce McKnight and Ralph McKnight) when Porkchop pinned Bullet Bruce with the Special Delivery in 0:09:51. Rating: * 3/4 (Bad News won the WCWF Tag Team Titles.)
Two-out-of-three-Falls Match: Bonesaw McGraw beat Bruiser Barton 2 falls to 1: x Bonesaw beat Barton via the Bonesaw Elbow in 0:10:06 x Barton beat Bonesaw via a lariat in 0:18:25 x Bonesaw beat Barton via an inside cradle in 0:24:33 Rating: **** 1/4 (Bonesaw McGraw won the WCWF United States Title.)
Randy Robinson pinned Johnny Valentine with the Ram Jam in 0:15:47. Rating: ** 1/2 (Randy Robinson retained the WCWF World Heavyweight Title.)

Roster NotesJoe Dean re-signed with WCWF, but Steve Hecker did not. This is the end for The Detroit Connection, but Dean will stick around as a singles competitor. Website UpdateThe WCWF website has finally been updated, including the roster and title histories through Wrestlemania II. Thanks, TNM7 (Booker's Notes)Before injuries messed things up, the original plan was for Randy Robinson to make his return in the Royal Rumble, resulting in the Wrestlemania II main event being a rematch from Wrestlemania I, but this time with Robinson winning. The Jolly Green Giant would have faced Bulk Logan at the Royal Rumble, with Massimo still attacking and injuring Jolly to set up a Wrestlemania II match. Bulk Logan would have faced Eddie Bearden at Starrcade, getting himself disqualified to retain the World Title. The Supernauts or British Steel would have been wrestling for the Tag Team Titles at Wrestlemania II had Dreadnaut's tag partner's not flaked out on him twice in four months. Brett Hale's heel turn occurred because TNM had twice commit random interference despite being a face. If not for that The American Express would have won the tournament and been champions going into Wrestlemania.

Samson challenged Robinson due to the former's recent defeats of Alpha Bravo and Wally Richter. The men shook hands before and after the match.
The televised portion of the event started with a recap of the situation between Magnum Force and The Syndicate. Wales and Weston were attacked backstage at Wrestlemania. It was revealed on the following WCWF Saturday Night that their attackers were The Orient Express. Veronica went missing, but was found after the show, apparently unharmed. She explained that after Wales and Weston were incapacitated, Hanoi Xan had entered the room and Veronica claimed she could not remember the hour following that moment.
The Syndicate (Brett Hale, Louis Dupre, and Mehmet Suleiman) defeated Magnum Force (Clint Wales and Harry Weston) and J.C. Magnum when Hale pinned Magnum with the Black Reign in 0:07:41. Rating: 3/4* [Veronica interfered against J.C. Magnum.]
In a shocking turn of events, Veronica low-blowed Magnum, her longtime boyfriend. She had been his valet since his WCWF debut. The Black Prince delivered his new slingshot facebuster finisher for the win.
Moose Hartley pinned Chris Reese with the Skullcrusher in 0:06:44. Rating: ***
Frank Gresham interviewed The Syndicate backstage, including Veronica. "I need a real man who can protect me," she explained. Brett Hale declares himself the man who will be king, and says Veronica will be his queen. They kiss. Hanoi Xan gives a sinister laugh.

Great American Bash Preview
J. C. Magnum vs. "The Black Prince" Brett Hale On the WCWF Saturday Night after The Wrestling Classic II, after several weeks absence Magnum cut a promo about how heartbroken he was by Veronica's betrayal. He's done feeling sorry for himself and now he's going to superkick Hale's head off.
Magnum Force vs. The Orient Express The Orient Express attacked Magnum Force at Wrestlemania and they've been feuding ever since as part of the Magnum-Hale feud.
The Jolly Green Giant vs. Wally Richter Jolly got drawn into the feud between Magnum Force and The Syndicate.
"The Mechanic" Joe Dean vs. Bulk Logan Logan, who has been bullying enhancement talent for months, mocked Dean for being a blue collar worker. Logan has never gotten his hands dirty in his entire life and greasy mechanics aren't welcome on Venice Beach.
Bruiser Barton vs. Russian Bear Barton attacked Ivan Morowski while the Russian was cutting an anti-American promo.
Title vs. Career: Randy "The Ram" Robinson (c) vs. Eddie Fargo Fargo gave an unusually serious and passionate promo on the first WCWF Saturday Night after The Wrestling Classic II. Fargo pointed out he was turning 56 later than month and it's about time for him to hang up his boots. Before he doesn't, there's one thing he's never done: been world champion. He challenged Randy Robinson for Great American Bash. Fargo reminded everyone he became the inaugural WCWF United States Champion at the first ever Great American Bash in 1979. He's been The King of Memphis and wants to end his career as King of the World, but if he can't do that the second best way to end it is on the anniversary of the greatest accomplishment of his career. Robinson accepted the challenge the following week. The Ram made it clear that, while he can't stand Fargo's tactics in the ring, he respects him as a veteran and one of the best in the business.
Great American Bash - July 5, 1986 Charlotte Memorial Stadium, Charlotte, NC
Cage Match: J.C. Magnum pinned Brett Hale with the Magnum SK in 0:06:36. Rating: * 1/4
The match was in a cage to prevent any interference by The Syndicate or Magnum Force. Magnum started out fast and furious, taking out his anger on Hale. The Black Prince finally hit a big clothesline to take control and repeatedly threw Magnum into the cage. Things looked bleak for Magnum, but he managed to hit his superkick out of nowhere for the win.
When Magnum attempted to leave after the match, Veronica slammed the cage door in his face and locked it. Hale proceeded to give Magnum a severe post-match beating until officials could cut the lock off.
Mean Massimo pinned Joe Dean with the Mean Machine in 0:04:44. Rating: ** 1/4 (Bulk Logan no-showed.)
Massimo made an unexpected return, having not been seen since Wrestlemania. He attacked Dean with his usually viciousness.
Bad Blood (Bad Wolf Bridges and Rick Blood) defeated The Southern Maulers (Texas Mauler and Missouri Mauler) when Bridges pinned Missouri after the Spike Piledriver in 0:03:46. Rating: ** 1/4
Bruiser Barton defeated Russian Bear by disqualification in 0:13:07. Rating: *** 1/4 [Gen. Ivan Morowski interfered against Bruiser Barton.]

The Jolly Green Giant defeated Wally Richter by disqualification in 0:08:28. Rating: -**** 1/2 [Hanoi Xan interfered against The Jolly Green Giant.]
Bad News (Eddie Bearden and Porkchop Jones) defeated Mark Gibson and Jimmy Blast when Bearden made Blast submit to a full nelson in 0:02:05. Rating: ** 1/4 (Rob Dynamo no-showed.) (Bad News retained the WCWF World Tag Team Titles.)
This was supposed to be a title shot for High Energy, but Dynamo never made it to the arena so Blast filled in. However, when Blast came out for the match, Bonesaw McGraw attacked him in the aisle and stole the US Title. Blast stubbornly went ahead with the match anyway, but was clearly weakened by the attack and got caught in a full nelson.
[Title vs Career]: Randy Robinson pinned Eddie Fargo with the Ram Jam in 0:26:21. Rating: ** 1/4 (Randy Robinson retained the WCWF World Heavyweight Title.)
Eddie Fargo put his career on the line to get a shot at the world championship. He pulled out his usual dirty tricks, but it just wasn't enough. After more than 30 years, Eddie Fargo's wrestling career is over. After the match, Fargo was on his knees in the middle of the ring, looking dejected and utterly defeated, reminiscent of the famous Y. A. Tittle photograph. Randy Robinson had started to leave but came over and exchanged some words with Fargo, too quiet for even the front row to hear. Fargo slowly got to his feet. Robinson shook his hand as a sign of respect, then raised the wily veteran's hand it the air in a sign of respect. The crowd slowly began to applaud. Tears were evident in Fargo's eyes as, after three decades as one of the best heels in the wrestling business, the ending to his final match marked the only time a crowd ever cheered for him.
