Match observations:
From the Asbury Park Convention Center.
Bad luck to Joey Janella, dropping the title in his hometown. However, the Bad Boy is not taking this loss lying down, he made it known that he intends to continue in the middleweight division and earn a rematch with Austin.
Colt Cabana just picked up a major win, he is only the second wrestler to pin Jacob Fatu in a singles match.

Card rating: *** 1/4
Match observations:
From the Wildwoods Convention Center
PAC managed a win over Josh Woods, but not quite cleanly. He used the referee as a shield and landed a low blow while Remsburg was out. Woods protested, but unfortunately, the referee's decision is final.
For no reason that we can fathom, Karl Anderson appeared after the penultimate match and gave the Gun Stun to both competitors. Lexy Nair tired to get a word with Machine Gun Anderson on his way out of the building, but he was tight lipped. Why would he want to make an enemy of both Rosser and Kratos.
Rush confronted Styles after the main event, we didn't hear exactly what he said, but motioning to his waist clearly indicates he wants to be the next challenger. Based on his win over Kingston tonight, I doubt the championship committee will refuse.

Card rating: *** 1/4
Match observations:
From the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City
Men of the Year completely dominated Top Flight in their debut match. They then proceeded to call out the Hardys for their next match.
There seemed to be a breakdown in the teamwork of Jurassic Express and Roppongi Vice. At first they worked together, but as the match wore on, Jurassic Express stopped tagging in Beretta and Romero. After the match Jungle Boy got the mic and claimed Roppongi Vice had been ducking a rematch with them ever since they took the Tag Team titles from Jurassic Express. This led to a brawl between the two teams.
The show ended with Maria Kanellis-Bennett announcing two big shows for the end of the year, first in November AWF will make their debut in Brooklyn. Lee Moriarty will challenge the new Middleweight Champion Ace Austin, and just signed tonight, the main event will be Jurassic Express vs Roppongi Vice for the Atlantic Tag Team Titles.
Secondly, the day after Christmas, AWF will be at Madison Square Garden, and headlining the Garden will be Rush vs AJ Styles for the Atlantic Heavyweight Championship.

Card rating: ***
Match observations:
From the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA
Men of the Year had a more competitive match in their second outing, but they still picked up the win, this time against the veteran Hardy Boys. If they keep this up, Sky and Page could be challenging for the tag titles very soon.
Our matchmakers threw a curveball in our Relevos Increibles match, mixing up the teams from last months 8 man tag. It looks like Roppongi Vice was the more adaptable team. No surprise considering the all the different tag partners Rocky Romero has had over the years. The champions will have the advantage of momentum heading into their defense against Jurassic Express.
Also added to our Brooklyn card, Josh Woods will get a chance to face PAC again, this time in a one on one match.
Speaking of one on one, as a result of the main event, Jacob Fatu will wrestle Fred Rosser. Mr. No Days off is undefeated in singles competition, but he faces his toughest match yet against the Samoan Werewolf.

Card rating: *** 1/2
Match observations:
From the Barclays Center
Bad luck for Eddie Kinston, he gets back on track with a singles win, only to go on the DL.
Joey Janella takes another singles loss, he will have some ground to cover if he wishes to challenge for the Middleweight Championship again. Kip Sabian, on the other hand, earned himself a title shot at the new champion, Lee Moriarty.
PAC largely dominated his fight with Josh Woods. It looked like he was ready to put The Goods away when Josh rolled him up for the pin. In his post fight interview Woods invited The Bastard to a rubber match at MSG to prove it was no fluke.
The crowd was split 50/50 in our main event. It was a much closer match than their first encounter, but once again, Roppongi Vice proved why they are the best tag team in AWF.

From the Majed J. Nesheiwat Convention Center, Poughkeepsie, New York
The injury bug continues as Tim Storm suffers a serious injury in his debut and Angelo Parker will miss some time as well. Fortunately all the principle players in our MSG card are healthy.
The Hardys will challenge their rivals, QT Marshall and Arron Solo, a team that they surprisingly never managed to beat in the their time at AWF.
Rush gets the momentum heading into his title match against AJ Styles, continuing his undefeated streak in trios matches. Will this be the big singles win he has been looking for?

AJ Styles pinned Rush after a springboard 450 Splash in 0:09:49. Rating: *** 1/2 (AJ Styles retained the Atlantic Heavyweight Championship.)
Card rating: *** 1/2
Match observations:
From Madison Square Garden
Madman Fulton cost Joey Janella his match, no doubt about it. He had Ace Austin dead to rights after that Package Piledriver, still the referee made the call to let the match continue despite Fulton's interference. It's officially a win for Austin, and that makes him the top contender to the middleweight title.
That's five losses in a row for the Hardys against Marshall and Solo!! I don't think I have ever seen a more lopsided feud.
AJ Styles closed out the event with his 4th successful title defense. He thanked the crowd for supporting Atlantic Wrestling Federation and promised to make 2023 an even better year. Just as he was about to leave MSG, Colt Cabana came out to the ring.
Colt congratulated him on his win and told Styles how much he respected him while they fought alongside each other; but now it is time to be on opposites sides of the ring, because Colt Cabana is ranked number one, and he is formally asking for his title shot.
AJ seems taken aback at first. He then asks the crowd if they want to see Colt Cabana and AJ Styles for the Atlantic Heavyweight Championship. When they reply with a thunderous yes, AJ turns to Cabana and says, "see you next year".

[Mystery Partner Match]: AJ Styles and Fred Rosser defeated Colt Cabana and Rush when Styles pinned Rush with the Styles Clash in 0:12:22. Rating: *** 1/2
Card rating: *** 1/2
Match observations:
From the Theater at MSG.
There was a lot of great action tonight, but the best match had to be Jurassic Express's match against Matt Menard and Johnny Atlantic. Neither team wanted to lose, Atlantic was wrestling his last match for AWF and wanted to go out with a win. The former tag team champions didn't want to drop a match to an ad-hoc pairing. People are already talking about this being the match of the year candidate and this is our first event for 2023.
Seems like Men of the Year did not take their loss at Invictus to the champions too kindly, no doubt we will see those two teams face off again, but first, Roppongi Vice will have to defend against QT Marshall and Arron Solo.
Jacob Fatu is the difference maker in any match, probably because he is the hardest hitting wrester in Atlantic Wrestling Federation, as Josh Woods just found out. Woods challenged Fatu to a singles match after the event, but Josef Samuel refused him, telling The Goods he needed to beat Karl Anderson to earn a match with Fatu.
All anybody knew about our main event was that champion and challenger were on opposite sides of the ring. Fred Rosser was not unexpected, but nobody thought Colt Cabana would chose his former rival Rush. The dynamic of the match was interesting, Rush and Cabana worked quite well together, where as AJ styles seemed to wrestle most of the match himself, maybe not trusting Rosser fully. It didn't effect the outcome, as the Phenomenal One pinned Rush again.

Match observations:
From the Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia PA
Rush was accompanied by a masked man, who did not interfere in the match. After his victory Rush looked to the mask man, who then made the throat slashing motion. Rush then took the fallen Fred Rosser and delivered a double underhook piledriver to him!!! Rosser had to be stretchered out.
This would not be the last the fans saw of the duo. They came out again after the main event and laid out champion and challenger. This time security intervened before they could do serious damage. The mystery man stood in front of the entry way, bumped fists with Rush, and unmasked as Andrade el Idolo!!

Card rating: *** 1/2
Match observations:
From the Cure Insurance Arena, Trenton NJ
Private Party couldn't have had a better debut, they had a great match and picked up the win.
Men of the Year and GOD worked together perfectly, they completely isolated Matt Hardy from his partners and broke him down.
Eddie Kingston didn't waste anytime on his return from injury, he got immediately got involved with the fight against Contra Unit. Unfortunately his return wasn't successful, as his partner Joey Janella fell to his old rial Taiji Ishimori.
Bandido picked up a much needed win against PAC. Can he use this momentum to turn around this luck in the middleweight division?
Josh Woods called out Jacob Fatu after his match again, calling the Samoan Werewolf a coward for hiding behind his cronies. Josef Samael came out to accept the challenge on Fatu's behalf warning The Goods to be careful what he wishes for.
Ace Austin becomes our first repeat champion, regaining the Middleweight championship from Lee Moriarty. Speaking of repeats, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a rematch of our main event down the road, nobody was happy with the finish of the tag title match.

From The Theater at MSG.
Our eight man tag saw the Middleweight Champion have Cheeseburger pinned with no referee. Todd Sinclair came down to count the pin, but the lengthy delay allowed Cheeseburger to kick out, then seconds latter he pinned Ace Austin! Austin tried to appeal to the original referee Bryce Remsberg but to no avail. To make matters worse for the champion, AWF officials announced Cheeseburger as the next challenger!
Roppongi Vice picks up two single wins against their rivals heading into their rematch for the tag titles.
Josh Woods and Eddie Kingston wisely isolated and double teamed Jacob Fatu. Once their leader was out of the picture, Contra Unit struggled, only picking up one elimination.

Match observations:
From Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.
Contra Unit hits back after their loss in the elimination match weeks ago. This will all come to a head at AWF's Anniversary Show when Josh Woods finally locks up against Jacob Fatu one on one.
Ace Austin has repeatedly stated in interviews and on social media that Cheeseburger's win was a fluke and that he didn't deserve a title shot. Austin seemed more intent on proving that point by taking Cheeseburger out of the ring and trying to hurt him rather than winning the match. Unfortunately that backfired as CB fought back and both combatants were counted out. It's unlikely that the championship committee will let this result stand, so expect to see a rematch down the road.
QT Marshall and Arron Solo have really overperformed as a tag team here in AWF. They have multiple decisive wins over the legendry Hardy Brothers and now they unseat the kings of tag team wrestling, Roppongi Vice!

Match observations:
From the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ
Joey Janella and Eddie Kingston laid out a challenge to the new tag team champions after their victory tonight. It might seem like the challenge came out of left field, but Kingston and Janella are actually 4 and 0 as a team here in AWF.
AJ Styles knocked himself out missing a Phenomenal Forearm from the ring to the floor, colliding headfirst with the barricade, suffering his first loss in an ignominious fashion. Backstage AJ styles gave an interview, saying it was his plan tonight was to surrender the championship after the match and move on to new challenges. However, he wants to go out with a bang, not a whimper, so he challenged Rush to a rematch; and to ensure a definitive winner, it will be a ladder match.

Match observations:
From Madison Square Garden
You would have expected a ladder match with AJ Styles to be a high flying affair, but Styles took it outside and turned the match into a brawl. Perhaps the Phenomenal One was afraid that another misfire would cost him the match. Unfortunately this seemed to play into Rush's hand. As the match wore on Rush got the upper hand. You could see his cockiness grow as he took control, hit the tranquilo pose, and then ascend the ladder to win the Championship.
