TNAW StarStruck - 05.06.2010
Daffney vs Miss Elizabeth - QOTR First Round Match
Miss Elizabeth hasn't been on StarStruck since her loss to Awesome Kong at Caged Fury. She was not among the Stamford Divas that were let go by Christy Hemme though, so she obviously sees her as valuable. Miss Elizabeth didn't appear interested in the match at all in the beginning, letting Daffney chop and punch at her, and simply shoving her away without expressing any interest in pinning her. Her attitude changed when Daffney taunted Elizabeth with Kong being better than her. Elizabeth snapped, and was choking Daffney until the ref DQ-ed her and kicked her arms away to save Daffney's life. Daffney is through to the quarter finals, while Elizabeth may want to talk to a professional.
[Queen of the Ring - First Round Match]: Daffney defeated Miss Elizabeth by disqualification in 0:04:29. Rating: * 1/2
Tara interview TNAW World Champion Tara was interviewed by So Cal Val. Tara said that while you could never really trust anyone in the world of professional wrestling, she really didn't see Trisha sullying her comeback by stabbing her and the fans in the back. Tara promised Trisha that when they were face to face in the ring, she will prove who the better woman is.
Katarina vs. Sojourner Bolt - QOTR First Round
Queen of the Ring qualifying match between one-half of the TNAW Tag-Team champions, Katarina, and Sojourner Bolt. This one saw severally quick pin attempts in the opening minutes, until Katarina gained control using her size advantage to keep Bolt away and score some hits with her kicks. Bolt tried to use her power to knock Katarina down, but with co-holder of the tag team belts, Gail Kim at ringside to distract the ref, Bolt never saw a count from her powerslam. Bolt went to have a talk with Gail Kim, and when she turned around, she walked into a Kat Nap. Katarina is on her way to the Queen of the Ring.
Katarina pinned Sojourner Bolt with the Kat Nap in 0:06:32. Rating: * 1/2
LuFisto interview So Cal Val interviews LuFisto about having her very first main event on StarStruck. LuFisto starts speaking in French, and is eventually cut short by So Cal Val, who says that she might want to do it English. LuFisto looks embarrassed, and says that she is really nervous, but wants to do good in Queen of the Ring. She asks So Cal Val if she thinks she'll look good in a crown. LuFisto says she wants to be the Queen of Montreal.
Traci Brooks vs. Trisha
Traci Brooks was awaiting her opponent for the evening, ODB, but ODB never came out. Traci was on her way out of the ring, when Trisha's music played, and the former world champ entered the ring area. Trisha said that if Traci didn't mind, she could sub for ODB tonight. Traci didn't mind, and we had an impromptu match. Trisha showed sign of some ring rust for a couple of minutes, before picking up the pace and hitting the Stratusfaction out of nowhere.
Trisha pinned Traci Brooks with the Stratusfaction in 0:04:32. Rating: *
Tara confronts Trisha After her match, Tara came out with the World Title. Tara told Trisha that she knew what she was out after, and that wouldn't happen. She was so sick of people not earning their dues, and after so many years out of the loop, Trisha had to work her way up the ladder. Christy Hemme came out and told Tara that wasn't her call to make. Christy asked the crowd if they wanted to see Tara and Trisha go at it for the title. The crowd definetely wanted to see that. Christy then said that if Trisha could beat Tara next week on StarStruck, she would be granted a title shot.
QOTR Bracket info We see updated brackets for the QOTR. The quarter finals will now be as follows:
Amazing Kong vs Katarina Sarita vs Gail Kim / LuFisto Velvet Sky vs Sara Del Rey Alissa Flash vs Daffney
QOTR Video The hype for QOTR continues, as we see a video footage of the throne, crown, robe and scepter - the regalia - which the winner will be presented with. Another incentive for winning this tournament is, of course, a TNAW World Title shot!
Nattie and the Anvil sick of waiting Backstage, a furious Nattie Neidhart says she doesn't want to wait until Queen of the Ring to get her hands on Hamada and the Maiden Title. Her father and manager, Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart, tells So Cal Val that the match will take place here and now. So Cal Val tries to tell the twosome that Hamada is still in Japan, but they refuse to belive her.
Nattie Neidhart vs. Sumie Sakai
Dave and Lauren wondered what Nattie Neidhart was talking about, Hamada really is back in Japan. Nattie walks to the ring, takes the mic from the ring announcer and introduces her opponent for the evening, Maiden Champion Hamada! Jim Neidhart came out alongside an asian girl. Dave says this is not Hamada, but a wrestler named Sumie Sakai. He expresses his disgust with the Neidharts, but says that this could be a great opportunity for Sumie.
Sumie got the crowd going, and had a couple of close calls after a beautiful moonsault bodyblock and a rana out of nowhere. Nattie grounded Sumie with a backbreaker, before she locked in the Sharpshooter, forcing Sumie to tap.
Nattie Neidhart defeated Sumie Sakai when Sumie Sakai passed out in the Sharpshooter in 0:05:35. Rating: ** 1/4
After the match, Nattie demanded that Hamada turn over the Maiden Title. The ref tried telling her that this wasn't Hamada, but Jim Neidhart pushed him down and said that TNAW will hear from the Hart family's lawyer.
Gail Kim vs LuFisto - QOTR First Round
It's time for your main event and the final first round match in QOTR, and what a match this became!
After a brief offense from LuFisto, Gail took a breather on the outside. LuFisto had no patience for the tag champ's stalling tactics, and ran out after her, just to be blindsided by Katarina who was ringside. Gail took control of the match, using distraction tactics to let Katarina interject herself now and then. Finally, LuFisto had enough and rolled out of the ring and ran backstage. Gail awaited the countout victory, but LuFisto ran back equipped with a broom. She would surely have been disqualified, but she needed to hit someone with it first, and Gail Kim didn't want to stay in one place. So the crowd witnessed a crazy hunt which ironically ended when Gail and Katarina crashed into each other. LuFisto then sent both into the guard rail sorrounding the ring, and crashed into both with a cannonball. LuFisto rolled Gail Kim back into the ring and eventually hit the Burning Hammer for a 2-count. LuFisto was close on several other occasions, close but no cigar. The end to this fantastic match came when Katarina slid a chair into the ring. The ref removed the chair, but while he did, Katarina hit LuFisto in the head with the same broom that she brought into the game. Gail hit the Eat Defeat to advance to the semi finals of the QOTR tournament.
Gail Kim pinned LuFisto with the Eat Defeat in 0:10:14. Rating: **** 1/4 [Katarina interfered against LuFisto.]
Card rating: ** 3/4
Match observations: We are now down to 8 contestants in the QOTR tournament, but we will have to shave that down to 4 before the PPV itself. Nattie Neidhart feels she have won the Maiden Title by beating the unproven Sumie Sakai and ODB was nowhere to be seen.
Join us next week, where we will see Trisha and Tara fight it out in a non-title match. If Trisha wins, she will get a title match at Queen of the Ring.

TNAW StarStruck - 12.06.2010
Christy confronts ODB StarStruck opens with ODB in Christy's office. Christy is yelling at ODB, telling her that no-showing is unacceptable. ODB says that she didn't no show, she was at the premises. Christy says that she was in no condition to wrestle, as she was wasted beyond comprehension. Christy said that she wouldn't tolerate any more of this. ODB shrugs and leaves, taking a huge sip of her hip flask as she walks through the halls.
The Beautiful People (Lacey von Erich & Velvet Sky) w/Madison Rayne vs. The Blonde Bombers (Angelina Love & Jennifer Blake)
Tag team grudge match between The Blonde Bombers and the team of Lacey von Erich and Velvet Sky - the Beautiful People. The Bombers did not hesitate for the bell, attacking Velvet and Lacey as they were entering the ring. THe Bombers isolated Lacey, torturing her with various submission moves while trying to put her away with slams and suplexes. Lacey ducked a double clothesline and hit one of her own before tagging Sky, but Sky's offense on Love was cut short when Blake illegally entered the ring and hit a lung blower. On the outside, one-eyed Madison Rayne tried to rally some support for the fans, but even the fans couldn't save Velvet from being hit by the Blonde Bombshell double-team move. The Bombers really have The Beautiful People's number..
The Blonde Bombers (Angelina Love and Jennifer Blake) defeated The Beautiful People (Lacey Von Erich and Velvet Sky) when J. Blake pinned Sky after the The Blonde Bombshell in 0:09:17. Rating: **
Gail Kim w/Katarina vs. Sarita - QOTR Quarter Final Match
This was the first of four quarter finals in the Queen of the Ring tournament. The winner in this one would be guaranteed a match on the PPV itself! Gail Kim is already one-half of the tag team champions, but as close as she was to become the TNAW World Champion earlier this year, she certainly wanted another shot at Tara's gold. With Katarina on the outside, odds were certainly favoring her. Still, Sarita's unique Mexican style proved troublesome for Gail, and when Sarita put her in a chickenwing submission hold in the middle of the ring, Gail seemed ready to call it the night. Katarina wanted it otherwise though, and ran in to break up the pin, causing the DQ. After the match, Gail shoved Katarina away, telling her in no uncertain terms that she cost her a shot at the world title. Gail and Katarina were put together by Maria Kanellis, and their alliance may be short-lived if they cannot put aside their differences.
[QOTR - Quarter Final Match]: Sarita defeated Gail Kim by disqualification in 0:08:36. Rating: * 3/4 [Katarina interfered against Sarita.]
"Future Legend" Alissa Flash vs. Daffney - QOTR Quarter Final Match
Next quarter final was between Daffney, who had advanced through a DQ win against Miss Elizabeth, and Alissa Flash, who defeated Jennifer Blake in the first round. Daffney tried to pull this one off quickly, hitting Alissa with a series of forearms before tangling her up in a small package. Alissa has her sights set firmly on the Queen of the Ring title, and held her focus even though Daffney tried to disrupt her concentration by showing the crowd why she's called "the Scream Queen". After hitting a spear on the goth girl, Alissa hit a vicious lariat to put her away. Alissa will face Velvet Sky or her old nemesis, Sara Del Rey, in the semi-finals!
[QOTR - Quarter Final Match]: Alissa Flash pinned Daffney after a lariat in 0:06:28. Rating: **
The Beautiful People's day ruined Lacey, Velvet and Madison are in a relatively good mood as they are getting ready to hit downtown for a fun night out. They are all dressed nicely and their make up are in order. Lacey is complimenting Madison on her hair, when Velvet screams. In the doorway stands Jen Blake and Angelina Love, both with buckets of paint. Velvet and Madison tries to reason with them, but to no avail. TBP gets showered in paint, and their night out is ruined. Lacey starts to cry as Madison wants to run after the Bombers, but Velvet stops her and tells her that they need to shower first. They cannot let anyone see them like this!
Tara vs. Trisha - if Trisha wins, she'll get a title match at Queen of the Ring
Time for your main event, as Trisha and Tara squared off in the ring. If Trisha won, she would get a title shot at Queen of the Ring. Even after all those years out of the ring, Trisha proved that she still had it, wrestling hold for hold with the savvy ring veteran Tara, trading suplexes and chops like she had never been away from the business. At the 5-minute mark, Tara had Trisha trapped in the corner, but missed a shoulder thrust and rammed her shoulder into the ring post. For the next several minutes, Trisha worked over Tara's shoulder extensively, yelling at the crowd to shut their mouths. Tara was obviously in pain, but tried overcoming it as she set up for the Widow's Peak. The twist of her shoulder was too much though, and Trisha slipped out of the hold and hit a Trish-a-licious (Stratusfaction). Tara showed her resilience by kicking out of Tara's finisher, but as Tara slowly made her way back to her feet, Trisha hit a schoolgirl, pulled Tara's tights and used the ropes as leverage to win the main event and secure herself a title shot at Queen of the Ring.
Number-One-Contenders-Match: Trisha pinned Tara after a schoolgirl roll up in 0:11:36. Rating: *** 1/2
Later that evening, in the parking lot Christy, Lauren and Sarita are exiting the area at the end of the night, talking about how exciting it will be to see Tara and Trisha go at it for the TNAW World Title at Queen of the Ring. Suddenly an old chevy races past them in the parking lot and rams a small red sedan. Christy screams that this is her car. The chevy backs up, and rams the sedan again! When they run over to the car, we see a drunkenly ODB behind the wheels. She holds up a bottle of tequila and tells Hemme to go f*ck herself. Nobody treats ODB like trash! Lauren runs to get security as Sarita tries to pull out the keys from the ignition.
Card rating: ** 1/2
Match observations:
Trisha is back in the business, and at QOTR in two weeks time, she will have the chance to become TNAW World Champion. The war between The Beautiful People and The Blonde Bombers are becoming fiercer every show, and what has happened with ODB? Ramming her boss's car must have consequences for the former Knockouts Champion.

TNAW StarStruck - 19.06.2010
Hemme and ODB backstage Christy Hemme is backstage with some security, yelling at ODB for last week's heinous attack on Hemme's car. Christy says that this is her last chance, and that's just because she's such a nice person. ODB goes to re-hab, or she is out of TNAW. ODB burps drunkenly, says she'll think about it and leaves. Christy leaves to prepare for her match.
Christy Hemme vs. Daffney
This match had barely gotten under way, when ODB made her way to the announce booth. She took Lauren's mic and slurred some insults at Christy Hemme. Christy had just gotten a two-count following a cross body at Daffney, but she took the time to chastise ODB from the ring. ODB turned to Christy and splashes pure alcohol in her eyes. Christy screamed in pain, and ran into the Lobotomy-suplex from Daffney. ODB looked quite pleased with herself as she left the area.
Daffney pinned Christy Hemme with the Lobotomy in 0:03:35. Rating: -1/2* [ODB interfered against Christy Hemme.]
Nattie and the Anvil on the hunt We see video footage from Nattie and Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart in Chinatown. Apparently, they are walking from door to door, asking the Chinese inhabitants if they've seen Hamada! They're even showing pictures of Hamada, but everyone just shakes their head. Hamada isn't even Chinese! This is ignorance and borderline racism from the Candian duo.
Sojourner Bolt vs. Trisha
Trisha still needs a few more match under her belt before squaring off against Tara for the world title, and tonight, Sojourner Bolt was her opponent. Trisha was really condescending against Bolt throughout the match, asking her what she had accomplished, who she thought she was, etc. Bolt had a few shots at winning the match, but Trisha's experience proved too difficult for Bolt to overcome. Trisha hits the Trish-a-licious bulldog to win this one.
Trisha pinned Sojourner Bolt with the Trish-a-licious in 0:05:38. Rating: * 3/4
Backstage brawl After commercial, we go backstage, where Trisha and Tara are yelling at each other. Tara tells Trisha that she has no right treating other hard-working wrestlers like she treated Sojourner. Trisha tells Tara that she was nothing in WWE compared to her, and she'll make sure she's nothing in TNAW too. It comes to fisticuffs, and several of the other girls have to pull them apart.
A video from a prince Video footage is shown from the African nation of Ghana. After some landscape shots, we go to a lavishly decorated throne room, where a man sits on a throne, sorrunded by servants. In broken English, he introduces himself as Prince Nana, prince of Ghana. He says his favorite TV show is StarStruck, and now that TNAW will crown a queen, he will come to the USA and be present. Represent the royalty, so to speak. And maybe, just maybe, he will find a queen of Ghana too!
Sara Del Rey vs. Velvet Sky - QOTR Quarter Final
Third quarter finals in the QoTR 2010. Velvet Sky of the Beautiful People had her chance of a lifetime, but first she had to move past Sara Del Rey. Velvet put up a great match, maybe her best singles match to date - even hitting the Beauty Mark. Sara has her eyes set on the Queen of the Ring title though, and is one tough cookie. And with the aid of Larry Sweeney on the outside, her leg conveniently found the ropes. Velvet never found her stride again after this. Maybe she lost confident in her ability to win this match. Anyway, Sara caught her in the Royal Butterfly and slammed her hard to the ground to send her on her way to the Queen of the Ring PPV, where she will face her old nemesis - Alissa Flash!
[QOTR - Quarter Final]: Sara Del Rey pinned Velvet Sky with the Royal Butterfly in 0:09:37. Rating: *** 1/4 [Larry Sweeney interfered against Velvet Sky.]
Hamada video Hamada cuts a short video promo from Japan. It's in Japanese, but Dave translates it. He says Hamada is really angry with the Neidharts, and when she comes back from Japan, she will take care of Nattie and her father. Lauren questions whether Dave actually knows Japanese, but Dave says that you don't need to speak Japanese to know what Hamada was saying.
Gail and Katarina argues Gail Kim and Katarina, the tag-team champions, are preparing for their title match backstage. The mood is not good at all, as they are snapping at each other for every little thing. Gail tells Katarina to bring her A-game, while Katarina tells Gail to take care of her own business, at least she's still in the QOTR tournament.
Gail Kim & Katarina (c's) vs. The Blonde Bombers (Angelina Love & Jennifer Blake) for the TNAW Tag Team Titles
Neither of these teams are crowd favorites by any means, but they still put on a great match. The crowd was behind Blake and Love for the most part though. Gail and Blake did some high-flying in the opening minutes, Blake hitting Gail with a spinning headscissors that sent her out of the ring. Love and Katarina slowed down the pace, putting on a clinic of a technical bout, countering each other's submission moves. Being a tag match, it broke down eventually, Gail Kim drop-kicking Love out of the ring and pulling Blake into the ring to do some double-teaming on her. Angelina was on the outside, slumped against the guardrail. Suddenly, two of the fans at ringside grabs hold of Love's wrists, trapping her against the guardrail. We see that the fans are none other than Pirate Madison Rayne and Lacey von Erich. Love squirms, but cannot escape! The ref doesn't see that she is held back, and counts out Angelina.
Payback is a bitch. Now, The Beautiful People have cost The Blonde Bombers the titles as well.
Gail Kim And Katarina (Gail Kim and Katarina) defeated The Blonde Bombers (Angelina Love and Jennifer Blake) when Katarina defeated Love by countout in 0:09:41. Rating: *** (Gail Kim And Katarina retained the TNAW Tag-Team Titles.) [Madison Rayne and Lacey Von Erich interfered against Angelina Love.]
Card rating: ** 3/4
Match observations: Queen of the Ring is only 8 days away, and the card looks terrific!
Tara vs Trisha - TNAW World Title Match Hamada vs Nattie Neidhart w/Jim Neidhart - TNA Maiden Title Match Alissa Flash vs Sara Del Rey - QOTR Semi Final match Sarita vs Awesome Kong/Katarina - QOTR Semi Final match and just in.. TNAW StarStruck - 26.06.2010
Angelina Love vs. Lacey von Erich
The first match pitted the third generation superstar Lacey von Erich, against "Miss Wrestling". Love didn't take Lacey seriously in the beginning, toying with her and putting her in various locks which didn't really hurt that much, only trapping her and making her look foolish. Lacey tried to show Angelina that she needed to be taken seriously, and this actually became a mat-based match that the crowd appreciated. On the outside, Jen Blake, Velvet Sky and Pirat Eye Madison Rayne cheered for their friend, without actually interfering all that much. In the end, Love captured Lacey in the Choke Sleeper, giving her the win.
Angelina Love made Lacey Von Erich submit to the Choke Sleeper in 0:07:37. Rating: ** 1/2
Tag-team brawl Even though the feuding teams held their tempers during the bout, it was a whole other ball game afterwards. Since Lacey was out cold after the Choke Sleeper, Angelina directed Jennifer to attack Madison, while she started brawling with Velvet. The four girls gave the fans a taste of what to expect tomorrow night, as they brawled outside the ring and throughout the crowd. They were quite even, until Lacey von Erich gave the advantage to TBP. This will be a wild one tomorrow!
ODB vs. Sumie Sakai
ODB has not made things easy for herself these past months. First she betrays the TNAW Girls in exchange for a title shot, then she starts no-showing and being drunk on work. It all culminated two weeks ago, when she drunkenly rammed her own car into Christy's car. She appeared drunk in this match as well, which was why Sumie Sakai actually had the upper hand for several minutes. In the end, ODB wouldn't release a chokehold, getting himself disqualified in the process. After the match, a dizzy ODB threw up right next to the ring! Disgusting.
Sumie Sakai defeated ODB by disqualification in 0:06:49. Rating: * 1/4
Christy has had enough After the commercial, Christy Hemme enters the locker room, where ODB sits slumped into a corner, her back to Christy. The GM yells off at her for some time, telling her that she has had enough of her behavior. Hemme tells ODB to get a grip of herself, for tomorrow at Queen of the Ring, she will be wrestling her! After Christy leaves, the camera zooms in and shows that ODB is sleeping her buzz off.
Awesome Kong vs Katarina - QOTR Quarter Final
Awesome Kong is back in the US, and her opponent for the last spot in the semi finals at tomorrow's PPV, is one-half of the current TNAW Tag-Team champions - Katarina. Her partner was ringside, but they didn't seem to be on very friendly terms during the intro, Kim showing a clear lack of interest in how Katarina fared. Katarina did well in the start, trying to stay clear of an Awesome Kong who was visibly tired after a long flight. Her kicks did a number on Kong's thighs, and she actually managed to get her down with a clothesline. A couple of times during the match, Kong was slumped in the corner, and Katarina distracted the referee, giving Gail Kim the chance to cheat. Kim didn't take that opportunity though, and the second time it happened, the tag-partners started yelling at each other. When Katarina turned around, she was met with a backfist, followed by a spinning backfist, a chokeslam and an Awesome Bomb. I don't care if you're the tag champ, you don't get up from that!
Awesome Kong pinned Katarina with the Awesome Bomb in 0:07:31. Rating: ** 3/4
Interview with the tag-team champions Backstage, So Cal Val tries to get some words from the tag champs, but they are more interested in yelling insults at each other, eventually turning the yelling match into a brawl which has to be broken up by security. What does this mean for the tag team titles?
Nattie Neidhart w/Jim Neidhart & Trisha vs. Hamada & Tara
Tonight's main event also featured a return of sorts, as Hamada tagged with Tara against Trisha and Nattie Neidhart. It took a while before the two separate feuds came to a clash, as it was almost always Trisha/Hamada or Tara/Nattie. But it did finally happen, as the two ring veterans Tara and Trisha were tagged in at the same time. They slugged it out with fists and elbows, before Trisha's rana attempt was stopped short by a power bomb. Hamada didn't feel like standing idly by either, blind tagging herself in to get her hands on Nattie. They started brawling outside, while Trisha and Tara still wrestled inside the ring. Tara didn't realize she was not legal, as she hit the Widow's Peak and went for the cover. The referee did so, as not only did she not count the fall, she counted out Hamada on the outside. Tara broke up the fight on the outside by slamming Nattie into the guardrail, and then told Hamada to wait until tomorrow.
Nattie Neidhart and Trisha defeated Hamada and Tara when Trisha defeated Hamada by countout in 0:13:12. Rating: ** 1/4
Card rating: ** 1/4
Match observations: Tomorrow is a historic occasion, as the very first Queen of the Ring will be crowned. Awesome Kong will face Sarita, and Alissa Flash will meet Sara Del Rey. ODB will face Christy Hemme, The Blonde Bombers will take on The Beautiful People in a Street Fight, and Tara will face Trisha for the TNAW World Title!
And just in, the TNAW Tag Team titles have been vacated, as Gail Kim and Katarina have officially split up. Not only that, they will face each other one against one. The winner will take both belts and can choose a new partner, while the loser will have to leave TNAW.
This will be a PPV you don't want to miss!

Whoa! Interesting turn of events with the tag champions. I take it somebody gave notice, but I'll find that out at QOTR. Good to see Hamada back in action, and I'm definitely looking forward to her match with Neidhart. Tara-Trisha should be pretty interesting too. I didn't expect Kong to do so well throughout the QOTR just because she doesn't really need the title to be a threat. I still think Del Ray walks away with it. No comments from Prince Nana today? I really do love this circuit. Keep up the great work. Do you have a preference on where I respond from now on? It seems the 3:16 boards are starting to get pretty lively, but I normally respond on the TNM forums.

Thanks for the comments Joshiq I have no preference really, you can comment wherever you like. It's good to see you like several of the feuds. Yeah, one of my tag champs gave notice.. but you'll have to wait until QOTR to see which one. Nattie and Hamada (in addition to LuFisto for some reason) have consistently put out some of the best matches so far, so I really wanted to put them in a program together to see if I could maybe get a 5-star match or something. Prince Nana will most certainly be in attendance for QOTR. TNAW is honored to have royalty in attendance!

QUEEN OF THE RING 2010
A hype video plays to open Queen of the Ring 2010 - showing the four semi finalists' way to the PPV, detailing the problems between ODB and General Manager/Wrestler Christy Hemme, Trish's betrayal of Tara, the continuing feud between The Beautiful People and The Blonde Bombers and the recent split between the tag team champs Katarina and Gail Kim.
Alissa Flash vs Sara Del Rey w/Larry Sweeney - QOTR Semi Final Match
These two had a Finisher match at A Girl's Night Out, where Alissa Flash walked out victoriously. Tonight, the prize they were fighting for were not anything less, as they fought for a place in the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament. Alissa defeated Jennifer Blake and Daffney to secure this spot, while Sara bested Lacey von Erich and Velvet Sky. These two know each other so well, and watching them in the opening minutes of this match was like seeing two best friends trying to outwit each other in chess. But these two are far from good friends, and when the match spilled to the outside, they were quick to ram each other into the barricades. Back inside the ring, they tried to hit their finishers at each other, but it appeared as if the other one had a quick counter move to anything they could come up with. On the outside, Larry Sweeney became frustrated. Even if Sara could overcome Alissa, she would need to wrestle another match in order to become the Queen. An opening revealed itself when the ref got squashed between Flash and Sara in the corner. Larry swiftly slid a chair into the ring, but he overshot it, and Alissa got hold of it. Sara's obviously been well instructed by Larry Sweeney, as she promptly fell to the ground, clutching her face. The ref woke up and saw Alissa standing there with a chair, while Sara was obviously hurting. A controversial DQ to say the least, and Sweeney and Sara had to high-tail out of there to avoid a real chairshot!
[Queen of the Ring - Semi Final Match]: Sara Del Rey defeated Alissa Flash by disqualification in 0:10:35. Rating: ***
Awesome Kong vs Sarita - QOTR Semi Final Match
Second semi finals coming up, as Sarita faced an enormous challenge in Awesome Kong. The latina superstar had to defeat ODB and Gail Kim to reach this far, while Kong had to go through Hamada and Katarina. The crowd was split in this one, as nobody had forgotten the contributions Kong did in the invasion recently. The match was clean down the middle, and not surprisingly, was a match of speed vs. strength. Speed can only prevail so long, and when Kong blocked a flying headscissors by slamming Sarita face first into the mat, Sarita switched tactics to a more submission based style. She put on the Reinera on Kong, but Kong's limbs are so big and strong, and it didn't look like she was anywhere near submitting. When Sarita tried to go for her signature move, the Tiger Driver, she soon realized how heavy Kong really is. Kong backdropped Sarita and then delivered the Awesome Bomb to advance to the finals - where she will face Sara Del Rey!
[Queen of the Ring - Semi Final Match]: Awesome Kong pinned Sarita with the Awesome Bomb in 0:08:41. Rating: ****
Christy Hemme vs ODB
Christy Hemme's patience with ODB has come to an end, and the former Knockouts champion had to face the GM here tonight. ODB was clearly not sober as she wobbled down to the ring, taking the time to drunkenly yell at some fans. She still had enough wits about her to attack Hemme before the bell, giving her the advantage in the opening minutes of the match. Hemme tried desperately to gain the upper hand, but it all looked very bleak when ODB hit the Flying Thesz Press. However, Hemme kicked out! She started targetting what was probably ODB's weak spot tonight, her stomach. After a couple of kicks and punches, it looked like ODB was ready to throw up. Christy didn't care and hit her with a spear, before hitting her signature leg drop to win the match. As Hemme was on her way out, ODB asked for a microphone. She told Christy to stop. ODB was teary-eyed now, as she said she would do it. She would go to rehab, if she could get another chance. Christy smiled and told ODB that if she went to rehab, she would give her a new chance.
Christy Hemme pinned ODB with the Flying Firecrotch Guillotine in 0:07:35. Rating: 1/2*
Hamada (c) vs Nattie Neidhart w/Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart for the TNAW Maiden Title
Nattie has been on a quest the past month or so, a quest to wear gold around her Canadian waist. With her father by her side, she has targetted Maiden Champion Hamada - with something many may see as racial slurs. She even went so far as to fight Sumie Sakai for the Maiden Title, in the belief that she was actually Hamada! Hamada has been in Japan since Caged Fury, but she is not too happy with Nattie's antics. This match started out nice and slow with some great, mat-based action. It soon became heated though, as Jim Neidhart tripped Hamada when she went off the ropes. Hamada, unafraid, went after "the Anvil", but was blindsided by Nattie, who decked her and applied the Sharpshooter on the outside. You cannot win the match by submission on the outside though, and you cannot win the title by countout, so father and daughter Neidhart had to push Hamada in to save the match up. Nattie dominated for a long period of time now, but Hamada kicked out of any move Nattie hit her with. Finally, she was able to lock on the Sharpshooter. Any time Hamada made it close to the ropes, Nattie pulled her back to the middle of the ring. The grimaces on Hamada's face clearly indiciated that she was in excruciating pain, but she wouldn't give up! She finally reached the ropes, and the ref had to drag Nattie away from her, as she wouldn't release the hold. This brought out the daddie in Jim Neidhart, as he got up on the apron and yelled at the referee to let his daughter go. He actually went so far as to push the referee, who collided with Nattie who was bouncing of the ropes. This gave Hamada the time she needed to get her bearings back, and on wobbly legs she delivered a brainbuster to Nattie before slowly climbing to the top rope, hitting a picture perfect moonsault to win the match and retain the belt. A terrific match between these two!
Hamada pinned Nattie Neidhart after a moonsault in 0:15:16. Rating: **** 1/4 (Hamada retained the TNAW Maiden Title.)
The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky) w/Lacey Von Erich vs. The Blonde Bombers (Angelina Love & Jennifer Blake) in a Street Fight
When Miss Wrestling showed up in TNAW earlier this year, it was clear that she was a skilled competitor. That she in fact was none other than the returning Angelina Love, proved difficult for Madison and Velvet to understand. In fact, they were the last to know. With her new partner, Jennifer Blake, Angelina has waged a war against her former friends. This has led us to tonight's match, a Street Fight! All four came dressed in street clothes, which in TBP's case was a really short denim skirt and a frilly top. They still had to look good! This match was intense, but didn't stray to far away from the ring. With Lacey by their side, TBP had a slight advantage. While Velvet had Angelina trapped by her throat with a chair, Lacey stole a slurpee from a fan, emptying the contents on Angelina's face. Jen Blake is known to take it to the floor occasionally, and she hit a perfect drop kick on a dazed Madison Rayne sitting on a chair. Still, falling flat after a drop kick on the floor, had to hurt. The end of the match came when Blake went for the Dynamite Destroyer in the ring. Ref Mattano told her that she would be disqualified, as that move has been outlawed. Blake grabbed Mattano by the throat, but released her in fear of a DQ. Maybe that would have been the best though, as she was hit by a Flatliner from Rayne, who got even from Blake stabbing her in the eye at Caged Fury. The Beautiful People has gotten a measure of revenge on The Blonde Bombers, celebrating their victory with a huge group hug in the ring.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) defeated The Blonde Bombers (Angelina Love and Jennifer Blake) when M. Rayne pinned J. Blake after a Flatliner in 0:07:29. Rating: ** 1/2
Gail Kim vs Katarina for the right to the TNAW Tag Team Titles - Loser must leave TNAW
Gail and Katarina was put together by Maria Kanellis, and won the tag-team titles on their first try - with a little help from Angelina Love. The partnership quickly fell apart when the Stamford Divas were disbanded, and the result was this match - a match to decide who gets to keep the belts (and find a new partner) and who has to leave TNAW. The crowd was evenly split on this one, as both girls showed passion and desire to stay in TNAW. Katarina had the match won when she hit the Kat Nap late in the match, but Gail showed ring awareness when she draped her leg across the bottom ropes. Legs on the ropes are possibly Gail's new tactic, because when she hit an inside cradle out of nowhere, her legs went on the ropes again. With the added leverage, Gail sent Katarina out of TNAW for now, and secured her both tag-team belts.
MatchLoser-Leaves-Town Match: Gail Kim pinned Katarina after an inside cradle in 0:09:33. Rating: ** 3/4
Gail Kim interview So Cal Val caught up with Gail Kim after the match, asking her who she wanted as her partner. Gail said that she didn't think anyone deserved to be her partner, but that she had to sleep on it. She told Val to expect an answer to her question on the next episode of StarStruck.
Interview with Larry Sweeney and Sara Del Rey So Cal Val wanted a quick word with Sara Del Rey before her Queen of the Ring final, but Larry Sweeney said she was busy preparing. Sweeney told Val that Sara faced a monumental opponent in Awesome Kong, but that Sara was ready. He said that Sara had defeated Kong before, and would do so again.
Awesome Kong vs. Sara Del Rey w/Larry Sweeney - QOTR Final
Both opponents took an extra look at the throne, crown, cloak and scepter which was placed outside of the ring, clearly showing how much they wanted to win this.
Even though they both have had enough time to recover on, their previous matches had to have taken a toll on them. Dave Prazak commented that if it boiled down to stamina, Sara Del Rey would have a huge advantaged. There aren't many wrestlers, male or female, that have the conditioning of Sara Del Rey. Sara is one of the strongest competitors Kong has faced, and she stood toe to toe with Kong on many occasions throughout the match. Sara needed to take down Kong though, and after hitting a series of kicks, she hit the rolling koppo kick to level Kong. Del Rey kept Kong on the ground for a while, at the same time preserving and perhaps regenerating some strength for herself. Prazak says that he knows that Kong has lost matches before, but he has never heard of anyone making Kong tap out. Kong eventually got out of the various submission holds, and started slugging away at Del Rey, who slumped down in the corner, covering her face. Larry Sweeney knew he had to do something, and stole the scepter, sliding it into the ring. As ref Bryce Remsburg put it away, Sara Del Rey kicked him in the butt, causing him to fall out. Sara had attacked the referee, but since it was from behind, who should he disqualify? Sweeney ran into the ring to help out Sara, but Awesome Kong was on fire, hitting both with clothesline and tossing Larry out of the ring, tearing up his suit jacket in the process. Sara was down on her knees now, begging for Kong to stop the hurting. Sara then low-blowed Kong, who didn't even flinch, but hoisted Sara up in a chokelift, parading her around in the ring before dropping her with the Awesome Bomb. Bryce Remsburg slid into the ring and counted the 3-count.
Awesome Kong is the Queen of the Ring!
[Queen of the Ring - Final Match]: Awesome Kong pinned Sara Del Rey with the Awesome Bomb in 0:13:28. Rating: ***
Crowning ceremony Christy Hemme and a couple of other staff members came out to prepare Kong for her crowning ceremony. Awesome Kong draped the robe around her and sat down on the throne, clearly happy at being the winner of this terrific tournament. The proceedings were interrupted, as the Prince from Ghana, Prince Nana, came down with several servants. Prince Nana said that he had payed a lot of attention to this tournament, and that he is ecstatic that Awesome Kong won. Nana says that since he is the Prince of a Ghanesian tribe, he is of royalty. He should be the one crowning Awesome Kong. Hemme tries to tell Nana that even though it's an honor to have him here, she would to the honors. Kong stops her, telling him that it is ok. Prince Nana then puts the crown on Awesome Kong, announcing for the world that she was now... QUEEN KONG! Â
Tara vs. Trisha for the TNAW World Title
We have our Queen, but we still have a match left as well. Two veterans of the ring duking it out for the biggest prize in the game, the TNAW World Title. Trisha made her comeback in the sport of professional wrestling after Caged Fury, helping Tara fend off a post-match beatdown. It was all a ruse though, as Trisha was after Tara's belt all along.
And even though they may not be the youngest competitors, and even though Tara may be plagued with recurring injuries and Trisha has some ring rust still in her body, these two put on a great 20-minute clinic that exceeded anyone's expectations. From technical catch in the opening minutes, to several periods of ringside brawling, to hitting each other's with finisher moves only to have the other participant kick out or catch hold of the ropes. Trisha hung up her boots due to a lack of desire, but it appeared as if that desire had come back tenfold. She also tried to pull out one of her most well-known moves, using the bottom rope as leverage as she would slingshot Tara out into the ring with a rana. However, Tara captured Trisha and slowly used her great strength to pull her up, dumping her hard to the ground with a power bomb. Her breath completely beaten out of her, Trisha did not get up from it. Tara retains, but Trisha has nothing to be ashamed of.
Tara pinned Trisha after a power bomb in 0:19:19. Rating: *** (Tara retained the TNAW World Title.)
Card rating: ***
A tremendous PPV saw Awesome Kong crowned as the Queen of the Ring, Hamada and Tara retaining their titles, Gail Kim become the sole owner of both tag team titles, The Beautiful People came out on top in a Streetfight and ODB promised Christy Hemme to check herself in to a rehab clinic.
Don't miss StarStruck next week, as QUEEN Kong and her Prince Nana will speak on what everyone is excited about - the TNAW World Title Match against Tara at Tropic Tumble.

- Sara Del Rey is so intelligent. I like the use of this DQ here, and can't wait for this feud to continue. - Glad to see Kong advance. I still think Del Rey wins the whole thing because she needs it more than Kong to continue moving up the ladder. Oh, and four stars is very nice. - Thank goodness you didn't have ODB puke in the ring. Should be interesting if she actually goes to rehab. Maybe she can meet Chyna in there and what a tag team that would be. - Wow, you're getting some nice ratings here. I was hoping for Neidhart to pull it off, but I'm totally okay with Hamada retaining. - Not sure about the whole threats of DQ's in a no-DQ match, but I'm still glad TBP walked away with the win. - I'm more of a Gail Kim fan than Katarina so glad to see her go over. I don't have a clue who you will pair with her, however. - Well, I am a little surprised Kong went over, but Del Rey held her own and the match was well booked. - This whole Prince Nana thing has me confused. I have no idea where you are going with this. Kong in a relationship is a scary thought. - Well, I figured Tara would go over, I just hope you got Trisha signed to a longer contract now. - Can't wait for Kong-Tara. That should be amazing and the build should be fun. Great stuff, Rey. I really enjoyed this PPV and the write-up was really well done.

- Sara Del Rey is so intelligent. I like the use of this DQ here, and can't wait for this feud to continue. Thanks. Didn't feel for a clean win. Even though they won't have matches against each other every PPV, this looks like an on and off rivalry/feud. - Glad to see Kong advance. I still think Del Rey wins the whole thing because she needs it more than Kong to continue moving up the ladder. Oh, and four stars is very nice. Thanks... well, you'll find out who wins in just a few minutes.. I'm getting ridiculously high ratings due to heat. - Thank goodness you didn't have ODB puke in the ring. Should be interesting if she actually goes to rehab. Maybe she can meet Chyna in there and what a tag team that would be. Yup.. that's where I was going, actually. ODB, filled with remorse, went to rehab. She'll probably be back after Tropic Tumble though. - Wow, you're getting some nice ratings here. I was hoping for Neidhart to pull it off, but I'm totally okay with Hamada retaining. Feud... must... continue... wants... five... stars.... (and these two could pull it off, I think).. - Not sure about the whole threats of DQ's in a no-DQ match, but I'm still glad TBP walked away with the win. Probably forgot that I was having a StreetFight a moment there. Should have had a No Holds Barred instead, then you could have been DQed for choking the poor ref. - I'm more of a Gail Kim fan than Katarina so glad to see her go over. I don't have a clue who you will pair with her, however. For some reason I was never comfortable writing Katarina (Katie Lea).. probably because I've never really seen her in action. All I could write was that she used her long legs.. As for Kim's partner.. it will all be revealed very soon. And since TNAW is on a strict budget, it will not be a new worker. - Well, I am a little surprised Kong went over, but Del Rey held her own and the match was well booked. While you are absolutely correct that Del Rey needed the win more than Kong (who's undoubtedly already a threat due to her winning the feud with Miss Elizabeth), I couldn't resist having her win the Queen of the Ring, so that I could call her Queen Kong. - This whole Prince Nana thing has me confused. I have no idea where you are going with this. Kong in a relationship is a scary thought. I may have been a bit misleading, but it will be apparent in future StarStrucks.. I have no intentions of writing a romantic angle between Nana and Kong. They're simply manager and client who also happens to be Queen and Prince... at least for now.. - Well, I figured Tara would go over, I just hope you got Trisha signed to a longer contract now. Well, I think you already figured out that Trisha was a filler feud to wait for the emerging Queen Kong. Trisha's original contract doesn't run out for another month or so though, so you'll see her at Tropic Tumble too. Then we'll see.. Can't wait for Kong-Tara. That should be amazing and the build should be fun. I know this feud happened in TNA less than a year ago, but I hope that the Queen aspect and Prince Nana will give it another spin. Great stuff, Rey. I really enjoyed this PPV and the write-up was really well done. Thank you

TNAW StarStruck - 03.07.2010
Prince Nana and Queen Kong take the stage The first StarStruck opened with Prince Nana and Queen Kong entering the StarStruck-zone in full regalia. The prince took the mic, running down the crowd and calling random people fat pigs - telling them to shut up when a prince and a queen is in the building. Prince Nana and Queen Kong walk to the ring, where Nana tells the fans that it is time to reinstate the Kongtourage! He then introduces Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt, who comes out and enters the ring with Kong. Bolt has the tag team belt wrapped around her waist, so she must be Gail's new partner.
Nana then calls out Christy Hemme and Tara, so that they can sign the contract for the TNAW World Title Match at Tropic Tumble. Hemme comes out, but regrets to inform Nana and Kong that Tara, like Hamada, is in Europe on tour with TNA, but will be back in two weeks. Nana then says that it really doesn't matter, Queen Kong WILL become the TNAW World Champion in Hawaii at Tropic Tumble, and then they would all party Ghana-style! The crowd boo Nana heavily, pissing off both the Prince and the Queen. Kong's popularity seems to have dropped since allying with the obnoxious prince.
Trisha vs. Velvet Sky
Trisha lost her title match against Tara at Queen of the Ring, but was back in the winning track here tonight against Velvet Sky of the Beautiful People. Velvet Sky seemed to have a lot of respect for Trisha in the start of the match, almost acting like a sitting duck for a series of clothesline from Trisha. When Velvet realized she needed to pull herself together in order to rack up a win, she hit a jawbreaker and a clothesline of her own, driving the fans wild. The rest of the match went back and forth, until Trisha hit the Trish-a-licious bulldog to win.
Trisha pinned Velvet Sky with the Trish-a-licious in 0:06:33. Rating: ** 1/4
In-ring interview with Trisha After the match, Trisha picks up the phone and talks about being out of the business for so long, that when she got the opportunity to make a comeback, she didn't want to take the long way there - she needed to be on top right away. This delusion of taking a short cut to the top was why she betrayed Tara and tried to win the World Title. She now realizes that she cannot change who she is, she cannot betray her fans to chase something that once was hers, but which she now know she has to work hard for. She promises to not let her fans down again. The fans seem to appreciate her apology, and cheers for her when she makes her way out of the ring. Â
LuFisto vs Miss Elizabeth
Miss Elizabeth has gone through a tough time after losing the Last Woman Standing match against Awesome Kong at Caged Fury, and did not even qualify for the Queen of the Ring tournament. Her vacation seems to have done wonders for "The NEW!" Miss Elizabeth though, as she took on LuFisto here tonight. Super Hardcore Anime LuFisto is not intimidated by anyone, and Miss Elizabeth found out firsthand why LuFisto is known for her toughness, as she fought the bigger woman with tooth and nail. She had Elizabeth defeated with a Swinging DDT, but Elizabeth kicked out in the last nano second. Elizabeth tried to ground the swifter opponent, locking first in a Texas Cloverleaf, and then a chickenwing submission variant. The crowd was on their feet cheering for LuFisto to power out of it, but to no avail. LuFisto couldn't answer ref Mattano, and the match was awarded to Miss Elizabeth. A terrific match!
Miss Elizabeth defeated LuFisto when LuFisto passed out in a double chickenwing submission in 0:07:53. Rating: **** 1/4
So Cal interviews Miss Elizabeth So Cal Val catches up with Miss Elizabeth after the match. Elizabeth is raging, asking why the fans hate her so much. She then says that she really doesn't care, and unlike Trisha, she won't show weakness by apologizing to the crowd in order to win their support.
Interview with The Blonde Bombers So Cal Val is backstage with Jennifer Blake and Angelina Love, trying to get their thoughts on losing to The Beautiful People at Queen of the Ring. Angelina says that the teams are very evenly matched, but when TBP has one more member, even though it is a totally talentless hack such as Lacey von Erich, the advantage tips in their favor. Jennifer says that as long as TBP wants to play with an unfair advantage, they will have a hard time moving up the tag team ranks. Looks like the Bombers are looking for a third member..
Gail Kim vs Madison Rayne vs Alissa Flash vs Sarita vs Sara Del Rey vs Angelina Love - Maiden Title top contenders match
Our main event tonight was a six-women elimination match for the top contendership for the Maiden Title Match. You had several interesting matches "within" the match - as Angelina and Madison continued their feud, Love hitting Rayne with a rana early on for a two count. Sara Del Rey and Alissa Flash has a storied rivalry as well, Sara almost putting Alissa away with a piledriver at the 5-minute mark. Gail Kim could very well be on her way to become a double champion, and former tag team champion Sarita was also working hard to win a title shot.
Madison made the first elimination, spiking Love on her head with the DDT. She took her eyes off the other four girls though, allowing Gail to hit the Eat Defeat to send Madison out of the match. Rayne and Love brawled all the way to the back. Sarita tried to sneak up on Gail after the elimination, but Gail had Sojourner Bolt on the outside (Sarita's on and off tag team partner), and her fellow Kongtourage member warned her in time, allowing Gail to whip Sarita into the ropes and hit a vicious spinebuster for the elimination.
Sara and Gail then teamed up against Alissa, dominating "the Future Legend" for several minutes, before Sara decided to take all the credit herself and hit the Royal Butterfly on Gail. Alissa and Sara fought on, but even though Sara hit another piledriver and Flash hit the Air Raid Crash, admitting defeat to the other was something they were not prepared to do.
So it went to a 15-minute time limit draw. That didn't seem to deter them though, as they continued to fight even after several gongs from the bell. Security and Christy Hemme had to come out to restrain them.
Christy then announced that next week, they would do singles battle in order to determine the top contender for the Maiden Title.
6-women elimination match: Sara Del Rey and Alissa Flash drew a 6-woman elimination match: Â Â Â Â x M. Rayne defeated Love after the DDT in 0:07:16 Â Â Â Â x Gail defeated M. Rayne after the Eat Defeat in 0:08:06 Â Â Â Â x Gail defeated Sarita after a spinebuster slam in 0:09:02 Â Â Â Â x Del Rey defeated Gail after the Royal Butterfly in 0:12:17 Â Â Â Â x Del Rey and Flash drew at time limit 0:15:00 Rating: ****
Card rating: *** 3/4
Prince Nana and Queen Kong are the new powerbrokers in TNAW, and they have their eyes set on the TNAW World Title. Prince Nana's riches have also enabled him to recruit Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt into his fold - reincarnating the Kongtourage. They most surely will be a faction to keep an eye out for.
Speaking of factions, The Blonde Bombers seems to be recruiting...
Next week: Sara Del Rey vs Alissa Flash for the #1 contendership for the Maiden Title Queen Kong & The Kongtourage vs The Beautiful People and just in, due to her comments... Miss Elizabeth vs Trisha!

- Whoa, didn't expect the Kong heel turn to be tha abrupt. I do like it though and she should be awesome in terrorizing Tara. Plus Prince Nana seems like an ass. - I love me some Velvet Sky, but good to see Trisha going over. - Trisha back as a face is cool with me. - Definitely happy to see Miss Elizabeth go over here. And the thought of an Elizabeth-Trisha feud is a good way to go. - Looks like the result of the elimination match got edited a little weirdly. - Bolt and Kim should make a good tag team. And love the term Kongtourage. Don't know if you made that up or not, but I like it. -

- Whoa, didn't expect the Kong heel turn to be tha abrupt. I do like it though and she should be awesome in terrorizing Tara. Plus Prince Nana seems like an ass. Yeah, Kong's face period lasted as long as the invasion, basically. You should check out Prince Nana's work as a manager in ROH. He's a tremendous heel manager (and a genuine Ghanian prince too). In real-life, the IWC would probably hate me for booking two turns in the span of six weeks or so.. They actually have some history from when Beth debuted in WWE. I do like to use history from other promotions, even though TNAW would probably never do so in real life. Thanks! You cannot book a draw in a battle royal, so I had to edit it. Missed something, obviously. The Kongtourage was the name of the stable consisting of Kong, Raisha Saed, Raka Khan and Sojourner Bolt. So unfortunately, I didn't come up with it. But it's a cool name. Thanks for the comments!

TNAW StarStruck - 10.07.2010
Backstage with The Kongtourage StarStruck opens with a scene from the lavishly decorated "locker room" of the Kongtourage, where Prince Nana is badmouthing a couple of caterers for delivering the wrong fool. Nana calls them fat pigs and threatens to sue them if they don't fetch Queen Kong a bottle of the exclusive Voss water from Norway. He then turn towards the camera, and gives the viewer a tour of the Kongtourage's apartments. Queen Kong is eating chicken wings, while attendants are giving Gail and Sojourner a massage. Nana says that TNAW should be ready for Kong, their new TNAW World Champion. He guarantees that The Beautiful People would feel their power tonight, as the Kongtourage is the most powerful group in pro wrestling today.
Nattie Neidhart w/Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart vs Traci Brooks
Nattie and Jim were in a foul mood here tonight, as the loss to Hamada at Queen of the Ring had to irk her. Traci was no match for the third-generation superstar, who put her away early with the Sharpshooter. When they exited the ring area, "the Anvil" told the camera that they weren't done with the Maiden Title - not by a longshot.
Nattie Neidhart defeated Traci Brooks when Traci Brooks passed out in the Sharpshooter in 0:03:42. Rating: ***
LuFisto & Sarita vs The Blonde Bombers (Angelina Love & Jennifer Blake
As Sarita's on and off tag team partner, Sojourner Bolt, has joined the Kongtourage and gained the tag team belt without really deserving it - Sarita has found herself a new partner in LuFisto. Even if this was their first match together, their unconventional and unpredictable style evened out the experience edge Blake and Love possess. The Bombers were still pissed at losing to The Beautiful People at Queen of the Ring, and weren't on the same page tonight. After Blake lost a chop-battle with LuFisto, Love actually refused to tag Blake, telling her to pull it together and fight back. After dominating Sarita for a couple of minutes with hot tags, a misunderstanding between the Bombers caused them to crash their heads together in the middle of the ring, allowing Sarita to tag LuFisto, who speared Love and then Blake. Love rolled out of the ring as LuFisto hit her flying headbutt. Then, Love just watched passively as LuFisto hit the Burning Hammer to take home the win.
LuFisto and Sarita defeated The Blonde Bombers (Angelina Love and Jennifer Blake) when LuFisto pinned J. Blake with the Burning Hammer in 0:06:32. Rating: ***
After the match, Blake and Love were arguing, when a blonde Daffney came out. She told them to stop arguing, as it was clear that the loss to The Beautiful Peoople was riding on their backs. Daffney told them she heard they were recruiting a third member - and that this was her official job application. Love and Blake conferred for a few seconds, then told Daffney that she was in.
The Beautiful People (Lacey von Erich, Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky) vs. The Kongtourage (Gail Kim, Queen Kong & Sojo Bolt) w/Prince Nana
Quick-paced action in the opening minutes, as Rayne and Sky showed Bolt and Kim that even though they might be the tag champs, TBP still have the experience advantage over them, and that it takes time to make a tag-team work as a cohesive unit. Lacey von Erich tagged herself in, but she lost the hold on Bolt, who tagged Queen Kong. Lacey tried bodyslamming, suplexing and drop-kicking Kong, but the top contender to the TNAW World Title wouldn't budge. Lacey tagged both her partners, and three simultaneous dropkicks felled Kong like the giant redwood she is. The match broke down now, and the ref had to see through his fingers with who the legal girls were. As the four other women brawled outside, Madison Rayne found herself with Kong in the ring. Kong easily caught Rayne's cross body attempt, and power slammed her to the ground. Kong then picked her up in a bearhug, squeezing Rayne and throwing her around like a rag doll. The ref saw that Rayne had lost her consciousness, and ended the match. An impressive showing from the Kongtourage stable!
The Kongtourage (Gail Kim, Queen Kong and Sojourner Bolt) defeated The Beautiful People (Lacey Von Erich, Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) when Kong defeated M. Rayne when M. Rayne passed out in a bearhug in 0:09:29. Rating: **
Miss Elizabeth lashes out at Trisha Miss Elizabeth walks out to the ring and is handed a microphone. Elizabeth said that when she debuted in Stamford, she was asked by Trisha to protect her from the crazy Alexis Laree. Elizabeth did so because she respected Trisha, her accomplishments and what she had done in the industry. Elizabeth says that after she left, everybody was saying how Trisha was the best and that they would never see someone like her. So she worked hard every day to one day be as good and as respected as Trisha. So when Trisha arrived in TNAW, Elizabeth was ecstatic. Even though Trisha cut the line, so to speak, and received a title shot right away, ahead of more deserving athletes like herself, Elizabeth respected the way it was done. Trisha went straight after the champ, betraying her and making her mark. But then, last week on StarStruck, Trisha came out and apologized? Selling her soul to the masses so that they would cheer for her? That just made Elizabeth sick. Elizabeth then told Trisha to get out here so that she could beat her bloody and force her to retire again.
Miss Elizabeth vs Trisha
Trisha tried to talk to Miss Elizabeth before the match, but Elizabeth smacked the mic out of Trisha's hand and gave Trisha a roundhouse right. Elizabeth wanted to prove a point to Trisha, and dominated her for a few minutes, using hard kicks and stiff rights to do so, stooping to using an eye gouge here or a chokehold there to keep her momentum, always staying within ref Mattano's patience. Trisha made a comeback when Elizabeth missed an avalanche in the corner, hitting a roll up for a two count. Elizabeth cut her short with a forearm and a kick in the gut, and set up for the Stamford Slam. Trisha resisted and hit a backdrop. Elizabeth went for a clothesline, but Trisha ducked, grabbed Elizabeth's arm and hit a backslide, pinning Elizabeth's shoulders to the ground for a three count. The pin out of nowhere made Elizabeth even angrier than before, clubbing Trisha down and tossing her to the outside. Elizabeth pulled out a chair from beneath the ring and hit Trisha in the back with it. She then laid it down on the floor and hit the Stamford Slam on the chair on the outside! What a despicable act by Miss Elizabeth!
Trisha pinned Miss Elizabeth after a backslide in 0:07:50. Rating: * 1/2
Alissa Flash vs Sara Del Rey w/Larry Sweeney - Top Contender Match for the Maiden Title
Since last week's six-women elimination match for a title shot at Hamada's Maiden Title match ended in a time limit draw when Del Rey and Flash were the only two left, TNAW management signed this match as tonight's main event. These two are no strangers to another, having met in PPV matches at both a Girls Night Out and Queen of the Ring this year. They're 1-1 in PPV matches, and both girls wanted to have the rubber match go in their favor.
The fans were treated to over ten minutes of two of the greatest womens wrestlers in the world trying to put the other one away. Del Rey tried to soften up Flash's back and neck for the Royal Butterfly, hitting three german suplexes in a row. Flash hit the Air Raid Crash on Del Rey, but Sweeney pulled the referee out of the ring, and then feigned completely innocence. While the ref was admonishing Sweeney, Nattie Neidhart ran in and threw both Del Rey and Flash out of the ring, jumping on them from the turnbuckle. The threesome started brawling violently outside of the ring, the ref counting from the inside. Larry Sweeney tried to break them up, but Jim Neidhart clocked him from behind. As the ref was close to ten, Nattie Neidhart slid into the ring, and was the only one within the boundaries of the ropes when the ref hit ten - causing the double countout!
Sara Del Rey and Alissa Flash battled to a double countout in 0:13:49. Rating: *** [Nattie Neidhart interfered against Sara Del Rey.] [Nattie Neidhart interfered against Alissa Flash.]
On the outside, Larry Sweeney was livid, and Flash and Del Rey even paused brawling with each other to field a common complaint with the referee. Inside the ring, Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart took a microphone and said that it was an outrage that the management was conducting matches to determine a top contender without putting Nattie in the mix. Losing to Hamada at Queen of the Ring was a fluke, and would not happen again. With her burly father in the ring, neither Del Rey or Flash dared to go into the ring.
This stalemate led to Christy Hemme appearing on the screen. Hemme said that she had the solution to everyone's problems - the Neidharts, who apparently thinks they deserve another chance, Flash and Del Rey - who seem to be so evenly matched that a winner cannot be determined, and the fans - who most assuredly want to see the best women in action in one of the trademarks of TNA wrestling. At Tropic Tumble, to be held in exotic Honolulu, Hawaii, Hamada will defend her Maiden Title against BOTH Del Rey, Flash and Neidhart... in an Ultimate X match!
Card rating: ** 1/4
We're still four weeks away from Tropic Tumble, but several matches have already been signed.

TNAW StarStruck - 17.07.2010
A heated backstage argument Sojourner Bolt is walking around backstage with her tag-team title belt, when she is confronted by her former tag-team partner Sarita. Sarita asks why Sojourner has joined forces with the Kongtourage. Bolt scoffs at Sarita, saying that she was holding her back and that she would never win any titles with her. Sarita says that Bolt hasn't even won a match with Kim yet, and that she doesn't deserve the belt. Suddenly, Sarita is clubbed in the back by Gail Kim, who holds Sarita's arm as Bolt slaps Sarita hard across the face. LuFisto comes running with a steel chair, chasing the Kongtourage away. Christy Hemme appears backstage, telling them to take it to the ring in a singles match between two former partners!
Sarita vs. Sojourner Bolt
A great TV match between these two former tag team partners. Sarita doesn't feel like Bolt deserves being the tag champ (and who can blame her?), while Bolt obviously feels Sarita held her back. Bolt has really picked up her step since allying herself with the Kongtourage, tossing Sarita around with slams and suplexes, while Sarita whipped Bolt around with armdrags and headscissors. Towards the end of the match, Bolt hit the Gory bomb on Sarita, who kicked out in the last second. Bolt threw a fit at the referee afterwards, allowing Sarita to recover and duck Bolt's clothesline attempt and hit one of her own. When Bolt got back up, she received a kick to the gut and the Tiger Driver. At two, the referee was pulled out of the ring by Gail Kim, causing the DQ. Bolt and Gail put their boots to Sarita, until LuFisto makes the save yet again.
Sarita defeated Sojourner Bolt by disqualification in 0:09:24. Rating: *** 1/2 [Gail Kim interfered against Sarita.]
Interview with Tara Backstage, So Cal Val is having a sit down interview with TNAW World Champ, Tara. Tara talks about going to Europe with the TNA crew, and then about Queen Kong winning the Queen of the Ring and challenging her for the TNAW World Title. Val points out that there will be a contract signing later tonight. Suddenly, Trisha enters the locker room. Trisha says that while the fans seem to have forgiven her transgressions, one person remains. She holds out her hand and says she's sorry. Tara smiles and shakes her hand, saying that she didn't need to stab her in the back to get a title match. Trisha says she will work her way up to a title shot in the future, and Tara says she's more than welcome to do that.
As Trisha leaves and Val and Tara wraps up the interview, Miss Elizabeth enters, saying that it's despicable how people can forget and forgive around her, and how some people use their name and history to get undeserved title shots. Tara wants to know what Elizabeth wants with this, not unsurprisingly she wants a title shot. Tara says she is more than welcome to get a title shot next week on StarStruck!
Hamada interview Hamada cuts a promo in Japanese, holding up not just one, not two, not three - but four fingers. Dave translates it as usual, saying that Hamada is getting ready to fight three other girls for the TNAW Maiden Title at Tropic Tumble. Lauren is yet again impressed by Dave's linguistic skills.
Angelina Love vs. Velvet Sky
The feud between The Beautiful People and The Blonde Bombers continues with a series of singles matches with the rest of their crews banned from ringside. First out was Angelina Love against Velvet Sky. Who is the best wrestler when outside distractions are not part of the equation? These two beautiful and talented women threw off their gloves at the onset, and tried to literally smash each other's head in with vicious forearms. Velvet almost got herself disqualified when she started choking Love on the ropes. Seems that this feud is bringing about everyone's bad side. Sky had a couple of close calls with a small package and a schoolgirl's roll up, while Love tried several times to catch Sky in the choke sleeper. The finish came a little out of nowhere, with Sky throwing Love into the corner, but Love instead climbing up and comes back with a flying cross body press, pulling Sky's tights as she got the three count.
Match with Managers Banned From Ringside: Angelina Love pinned Velvet Sky after a flying cross body press in 0:07:41. Rating: ** 1/2
TBP and Bombers set stipulation Backstage, The Beautiful People and The Blonde Bombers are arguing over the match, Rayne and Lacey claiming that Angelina cheated as usual. Christy and security come over to prevent more trouble, and Christy says that she wants a stipulation for their 6-woman tag match at Tropic Tumble. Lacey wants losers leaves TNAW, but Christy says that's not happening. Daffney wants loser strip to their underwear, but Christy says this is a serious wrestling company. Velvet then proposes that the losers become the other team's servants for a full month. Christy likes the idea and books it.
Alissa Flash vs Nattie Neidhart
Tonight's main event match was between two of the girls fighting for the TNAW Maiden Title at Tropic Tumble, in the historic first ever Ultimate X match for women. These two are two of the absolute best athletes TNAW has to offer, and they did not let the fans down in this intense match. Nattie got a two count following a powerslam at the 5 minute mark, while a timely intervention by Jim Neidhart prevented the ref from counting the Air Raid Crash from Alissa. A little later, Nattie was finally able to lock the Sharpshooter on Alissa, who was writhing in pain on the canvas. However, she was able to reach the ropes, and the ref tapped Nattie's shoulder to signal that she had to let go. Nattie let go and raised her arms in victory, and was angry as hell when she found out that she hadn't won. In protest, Nattie and "the Anvil" left the ring area, giving the victory by countout to "Future Legend" Alissa Flash.
Alissa Flash defeated Nattie Neidhart by countout in 0:09:46. Rating: ** 1/2 [Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart interfered against Alissa Flash.]
Big contract signing One thing remained tonight, the big contract signing with Queen Kong and Tara. The red carpet was laid out, and Prince Nana, Queen Kong and the Kongtourage walked to the ring, Prince Nana his usual self bad-mouthing everyone on his way, calling the fans fat pigs and slobs. Tara then entered the ring, looking cautiously at Nana and the Kongtourage, but sitting down across the table from Kong and signing the contract. Nana then reviewed the contract, before non-chalantly telling Kong to destroy her. General Manager Christy Hemme tried to protest, but was pushed to the ground by Gail Kim and stomped repeatedly by Bolt, as Kong and Tara was pummeling each other. The numbers game took its toll on Tara though, and she was hit by the Implant Buster. Then, Trisha hit the ring, clotheslining Kim over the ropes and hitting a devastating lariat on Bolt. She jumped on Kong's back locking in a sleeperhold, but was clubbed from behind by Miss Elizabeth! Elizabeth tossed Trisha over the ropes and rammed her into the guardrail on the outside. Sarita and LuFisto hit the ring, but Kong and the Kongtourage kept them at bay, while at the same time punishing Tara profoundly. The show comes to an end as Queen Kong delivers a vicious chokebomb on Tara. What a disgusting act by Kong and her cronies!
Card rating: ** 1/2
Match observations:
What a disgusting act by Prince Nana's crew here tonight! Kong made a statement, that's for sure, but they may have done Miss Elizabeth a bigger favor than they have themselves.. in what shape may Tara be next week, when she's facing Elizabeth for the title? Also booked for next week is Gail Kim vs. Lufisto, Madison Rayne vs. Jennifer Blake and Hamada vs Sara Del Rey in a non-title match.
Also, if you haven't booked your tickets to Hawaii, you should do so now! Tropic Tumble will be held outdoors in Honolulu, a one of a kind wrestling event!

TNAW StarStruck - 24.07.2010
Hemme demands an apology StarStruck opens with Christy Hemme in the ring. The General Manager says that Queen Kong's actions last week was uncalled for, and that even though the match is signed for Tropic Tumble, this does not mean there will not be consequences. She orders Queen Kong to come to the ring. The queen does so, with her full Kongtourage in tow, Prince Nana joining Dave and Lauren, calling Dave an imbecile for questioning Kong's actions last week.
In the ring, Hemme repeats her complain about Kong's actions, and Kong says she will apology if Christy wrestles a match with her, right here and right now. Hemme is surprised to say the least. Kong says that she doesn't need to win. She doesn't even need to avoid loss for a certain amount of time. All she has to do - is agree to a match right now. As Christy thinks about this, Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt is egging her on, calling her a coward if she doesn't agree. Even though Dave Prazak goes as far as to get up from the announce position (and is called a fat pig by Prince Nana for doing so), Christy agrees.
Christy Hemme vs. Queen Kong w/Prince Nana
I don't know if the former Playboy model knew what she was getting herself into, but Kong wasted no time tossing Christy around like a small doll, quickly getting a two count after hitting a backfist. Nana screamed at the GM from the outside, telling her to stay down. Hemme tried to fight back, but was tossed into the turnbuckle by her hair, and then squashed violently. Kong hit another backfist and then a big splash, before lifting her up and slamming her to the ground with the Awesome Bomb. As we go to commercials, we see Hemme being carried away on a stretcher. As she leaves the ring area, Kong looks into the camera and says: "I'm sorry Christy." Then she and the Kongtourage laughs maniacally.
Queen Kong pinned Christy Hemme with the Awesome Bomb in 0:02:31. Rating: 1/4*
Jennifer Blake vs. Madison Rayne
Match # 2 in a series of singles matches between the members of The Beautiful People and The Blonde Bombers. This match had a lucha feel to it, maybe not surprisingly as Jennifer Blake regularly competes in Mexico for the AAA promotion. Blake's agility and quickness gave her an advantage, and it is not often you see a perfectly executed slingshot sunset flip here in TNAW. Late in the match, Jennifer got herself a warning for trying to untie the turnbuckle. As ref Remsburg was fixing it, Blake pulled out brass knuckles hidden in her tights. Instead of using it on Rayne, she threw them at Rayne, who actually just dropped them on the ground, so when Remsburg turned around, he didn't believe Blake when she claimed she had been hit. After throwing a fit, Blake turned right into a superkick from Rayne, and that was enough to put Blake away tonight. 1-1 between these two feuding teams.
Madison Rayne pinned Jennifer Blake after a superkick in 0:05:37. Rating: **** 1/4
Hamada vs. Sara Del Rey
Sara Del Rey had the opportunity tonight to get a psychological advantage over Hamada before the Ultimate X match at Tropic Tumble. Hamada hasn't been a lot on StarStruck the last couple of months, being occupied in Japan and on tour in Europe, so the fans really appreciated seeing her fast-paced, hard-kicking style again. Del Rey is one of the toughest women in professional wrestling today, but Hamada is perhaps one of the few who can match her pound by pound. And after hitting several stiff kicks and forearm smashes on each other, soaring through the air with moonsaults and dropkicks, the end could maybe come off as a little anti climatic. Sara was going to whip Hamada into the ropes, but Hamada reversed it. Larry Sweeney had turned his back to the action, but still managed to grab hold of a leg. Sara's leg. Sara kicked him lightly in the head and turned to shout at him. Larry held up his hands in apology, but when Sara turned around, she was surprised with a small package by Hamada that secured the win. After the match, Sara ran around telling the ref that that didn't count, while Larry tried desperately to have Sara forgive him, knowing that she could probably kick his ass if she wanted to. In the end though, she forgave him and gave him a short hug.
Hamada pinned Sara Del Rey after a small package in 0:07:08. Rating: *** 3/4
Blonde Bombers having a surprise for TBP Backstage, TBP and The Blonde Bombers are yet again arguing over the outcome of their singles match, with Blake still claiming that Rayne hit her with brass knucks. Angelina says it really doesn't matter, because when they defeat them in their six-woman tag match at Tropic Tumble, they will need to appear on TV every week in a REALLY short and revealing french maid uniform. Velvet says "no way we're wearing that", while Lacey stutters: "well... if you lose, you will have to go buck naked for a month!" Madison and Velvet look at Lacey, and say that they don't think that's legal. Next week will be the third match - Lacey von Erich against Daffney!
Nana and the Kongtourage So Cal Val enters the Kongtourage's locker room, where two servants are feeding grapes to Queen Kong. Val tells Nana that Hemme has been taken to a hospital for treatment, and that she probably suffers from a concussion. Nana says he's not sorry for that, she went into the ring with Queen Kong and got what she deserved. Val then brings up the unprovoked attack on Tara, and Nana calls Val "So Cal Slut" in return. He tells her that the Age of Kong is upon TNAW, and that it will be a dark age ruled by the Prince and Queen of Ghana. In the background, Queen Kong slaps a servant for giving her a sour grape. Nana laughs, telling Tara and the rest of TNAW to get ready for the Age of Kong!
Gail Kim vs. LuFisto
Gail Kim defeated LuFisto in a QOTR qualifier last month, but LuFisto brought a different game tonight. Kim took a breather on the outside after LuFisto hit her with a cannonball in the corner, but the Montreal native dove out from the apron with a new cannonball, wiping out both Kim and Bolt in the process. As is customary in LuFisto's matches, they brawled on the outside, LuFisto draping Gail on a table and smashing down with a chair. Bolt managed to pull her partner off the table in the last split second, and LuFisto smashed Bolt instead, probably saving her from being disqualified. Back in the ring, LuFisto went for the Burning Hammer, but Kim managed to reach the ropes while she was on LuFisto's shoulders, managing to wriggle herself free and hit the devastating Eat Defeat finisher out of nowhere - earning herself another victory over LuFisto. After the match, Bolt and Kim put the boots to LuFisto, until Sarita ran in and chased the Kongtourage away. Sarita and LuFisto were motioning for the tag-team belts at this point, and we have later learned that there will indeed be a tag-team match between these four at Tropic Tumble - with the tag-titles on the line!
Gail Kim pinned LuFisto with the Eat Defeat in 0:07:38. Rating: *** 1/2 [Sojourner Bolt interfered against LuFisto.]
Miss Elizabeth vs. Tara (c) for the TNAW World Title
This has been a night of many great matches, but the big main event was still to come - Tara defending her World Title against Miss Elizabeth. Tara was brutally attacked by Queen Kong and her Kongtourage last week, and she was visibly injured as she made her way to the ring, clutching her ribs and limping. Miss Elizabeth wasted no time attacking the champ's weak spots, slamming her to the ground and wrenching away on her hurt leg. Tara managed a small comeback after a jawbreaker, DDT and standing moonsault, but Miss Elizabeth was quickly on top again, hitting a Northern Lights Suplex for a near fall. A crushing bear hug didn't do Tara's ribs any favors either. At the announce table, Lauren wondered if we might see Kong vs Elizabeth IV at Tropic Tumble instead.
The inevitable happened, as Elizabeth dropped Tara on her head with The Stamford Slam. Ref Mattano didn't get the chance to count though, as someone pulled Miss Elizabeth out of the ring. That someone was Trisha, but she kept her head low and hid under the ring, the ref didn't see it! Elizabeth was furious and tried to drag Trisha out from beneath the ring, but had to return to the ring to avoid being counted out. She pulled up Tara again, but Tara had played possum for a while, backdropping Elizabeth and hitting another standing moonsault. That was not enough, but Tara quickly hit the Widow's Peak to retain the title.
Miss Elizabeth was furious, and that feeling did not subside as Trisha backed up the ramp, laughing at Elizabeth.
Tara pinned Miss Elizabeth with the Widow's Peak in 0:08:29. Rating: *** 1/2 (Tara retained the TNAW World Title.)
Card rating: *** 1/2
A fantastic StarStruck for those that enjoy quality women's wrestling matches. This is entertainment you won't find anywhere else!
Christy Hemme has been diagnosed with a concussion after the brutal attack by Queen Kong. We have no word on whether Hemme will be present next week or not. We have two more matches set for Tropic Tumble, LuFisto/Sarita vs. The Kongtourage for the TNAW Tag-Team Titles, and just in: Trisha vs. Miss Elizabeth! The three matches already signed for Tropic Tumble are:
Queen Kong vs Tara for the TNAW World Title Nattie vs Flash vs Hamada (c) vs Del Rey for the Maiden Title and The Beautiful People vs The Blonde Bombers & Daffney - losers must be the other team's servants for a month.

TNAW StarStruck - 31.07.2010
Dave reports about Christy The show opens with Dave Prazak in the ring. Dave announces that Christy Hemme has suffered some side effects from the concussion suffered last week in the match against Awesome Kong, and will not be here tonight. Dave apologizes for this, but is cut short as Prince Nana and the Kongtourage make their way to the ring. Nana calls Dave a fat pig and a son of a bitch for blaming Hemme's condition on Kong. Nana says that Hemme belongs in a porn magazine, not in the ring with regality. Prazak starts to object, but is cut short by Kong who grabs Dave by his collar and threatens to chokeslam him. Instead, she pushes him into the ring corner and runs in with an avalanche. Dave falls down and Kong is about to sit down on him, when Trisha runs in with a microphone, challenging Kong to a match. Prince Nana says that Trisha is not worthy of a match with the Queen, but that she can fight Sojourner Bolt if she's itching for a fight. The distraction saves Dave Prazak, who rolls out of the ring and takes cover at the announce table.
Sojourner Bolt vs. Trisha Nana and Kong did not stay for Bolt's match against Trisha, but Sojourner's tag team partner, Gail Kim, did, and proved a nuisance for Trisha during the match, choking her on the ropes when ref Remsburg wasn't looking. This advantage helped Bolt dominate large parts of the match, but Trisha wouldn't go down, even when hit by a lung blower from Bolt. Bolt tossed Trisha out of the ring, which allowed Gail to try and whip Trisha into the ring steps. Trisha reversed it, ramming Gail into the unyielding steps. Then, Miss Elizabeth ran in with murder in her eyes, but Trisha was perceptive and hit a drop toe hold that sent Elizabeth into the steel steps as well. With all the distractions out of the way, Trisha went back into the ring where she quickly hit the Trish-a-licious for the win. Looks like Trisha is getting back in ring shape - big time!
Trisha pinned Sojourner Bolt with the Trish-a-licious in 0:07:17. Rating: ** 3/4 [Miss Elizabeth interfered against Trisha.]
Tara visits Christy We see a video from Christy Hemme's home, where TNAW World Champ Tara visits. Christy is suffering from migraines and dizziness, and confesses that she should never have faced Kong, and that she's perhaps better off as a GM. Tara tells Christy to not think about this now, and to get better. She will take care of Kong.
Daffney vs. Lacey von Erich
The score is 1-1 in the singles match series between The Beautiful People and The Blonde Bombers, and it would all be decided here tonight with Daffney and Lacey squaring off in the ring. Lacey tried going for some quick pins early on, but Daffney wasn't sufficiently worn down to call it quits. Daffney countered with some killer forearms, but Lacey wanted to prove a point here tonight - the point being that she's more than Fritz von Erich's grand-daughter, she's a superstar in her own right. One thing she has from her family lineage though, is the dreaded Iron Claw. Once she had locked in the Claw on Daffney, she didn't let go, and the ref had to award the match to Lacey when Daffney didn't respond.
Lacey Von Erich defeated Daffney when Daffney passed out in the Iron Claw in 0:06:09. Rating: * 1/2 TBP celebrates - Love does not Backstage, Lacey, Velvet and Madison celebrates Lacey's win, which gives them a 2-1 victory in the mini series. They hug and cheer and skip along the corridor. Angelina Love watches them from afar, a look of jealousy and envy on her face. Jennifer Blake comes along, telling Love that they will still win the six-woman match at Tropic Tumble, and that they should go check on Daffney.
Music video of Jillian Jones A music video of Jillian Jones (yes, wrestler Jillian) airs. She is dressed as a cowgirl, singing some sort of bland country music while playing a guitar. In the middle of the video, she struts along just like a more well-known wrestlers who happens to share her initials.
Sarita & LuFisto vs. Sumie Sakai & Traci Brooks
Sarita and LuFisto have challenged the Kongtourage to a tag team title match at Tropic Tumble, but they absolutely need some tagging experience before going up against the champs. Their opponents were Sumie Sakai and Traci Brooks. SaFisto didn't exactly work like a well-oiled machinery together, but individually they're tougher, more experienced and more skilled than their opponents. LuFisto picked up the win when Traci had to tap to a cross armbreaker. Fortunately for SaFisto, Gail Kim and Bolt haven't a great deal of experience together either. That match could go either way!
Sarita and LuFisto defeated Sumie Sakai and Traci Brooks when LuFisto defeated Traci when Traci passed out in a cross armbreaker in 0:05:24. Rating: *** 3/4
Elizabeth attacks Trisha backstage So Cal Val is backstage searching for Trisha. She enters her locker room, but finds her in the shower, a towel wrapped around her. Trisha asks her kindly to wait outside the shower for a minute. As So Cal Val speaks to the camera about the upcoming PPV, Miss Elizabeth barges into the locker room wielding a lead pipe. She drags Val with her, telling her that all the world should be witness to the beating she is about to give Trisha. Poor Trisha is just standing in the shower with a towel, as Elizabeth stares menacingly at her. Then, Trisha grabs the shower head and sprays Elizabeth with it. Elizabeth screams running away as she drops the pipe and clutches her arm. So Cal Val wonders if Elizabeth is afraid of water. Trisha says Elizabeth probably doesn't like scaldingly hot water, and the camera zooms in on the shower who is turned all the way to red. Trisha says she's been in the business too long not to take precautions when she knows someone's out to get her.
Alissa Flash vs. Nattie Neidhart w/Jim Neidhart vs. Sara Del Rey w/Larry Sweeney
Main even time, as all the competitors in the Maiden Title Ultimate X match at Tropic Tumble - sans the champ, went toe to toe in a fantastic match here tonight. Flash and Del Rey's ongoing rivalry helped Nattie in the opening minutes, as she could take a breather on the outside, relaxing with her father slash manager, Jim Neidhart. Reality caught up with her though as Alissa tossed Sara out, diving on both of them with a cross body from the apron. Larry Sweeney then proposed a truce of sorts with Jim Neidhart, and Sara and Nattie worked together for a while against Alissa. The partnership broke up when Nattie locked in the Sharpshooter on Alissa, a move broken up by a stiff kick from Sara. The partnership on the outside evaporated as well, Neidhart decking Sweeney with a hard right. Sweeney took cover at the announce table, sitting on Dave Prazak's lap in the absence of a third chair. Lauren then asked them if they wanted a room.
The fans were really into this match, cheering on all three participants, simply for putting on such a great display. The end came when Alissa planted Sara with an Air Raid Crash. Before she went for the cover, Nattie rolled her over with a La Magistral. Alissa kicked out, and Nattie went for a backslide. Alissa countered with the Kudo Driver for the win. Alissa with a great win here, only two weeks before Tropic Tumble!
Alissa Flash defeated Sara Del Rey and Nattie Neidhart when A. Flash pinned N. Neidhart with the Kudo Driver in 0:11:52. Rating: *** 1/2 [Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart interfered against Sara Del Rey.]
Card rating: *** 1/4
Match observations:
Another great StarStruck saw Trisha really getting the upper hand in her feud with Miss Elizabeth, Lacey von Erich securing her first win and Alissa Flash gaining some momentum going into the Ultimate X-match at Tropic Tumble.
Next week, Total Nonstop Action Woman will live up to its moniker as we will present six great matches back to back - with only a few commercial breaks so that you can go to the toilet. We have Hamada vs Jennifer Blake in a non-title match, Alissa Flash vs Nattie Neidhart in a rematch of sorts from tonight's triple threat and in the main event, the entire Kongtourage will take on Tara, Sarita and LuFisto! This and more, next week!

TNAW StarStruck - 07.08.2010
Sumie Sakai & Traci Brooks vs. The Beautiful People (Lacey von Erich & Madison Rayne)
Tonight, TNAW promised to live up to its name - Total Nonstop Action Women - as they would present no less than six matches on StarStruck.
The first match featured Madison Rayne and Lacey von Erich preparing for their big six-women tag match at Tropic Tumble by facing Sumie Sakai and Traci Brooks in a tag match. TBP is en route to Tropic Tumble with a nice win here tonight, Traci being tangled up in a small package. At the end of the match, Sumie took a bad bump to the outside, hitting her back on the ring apron. It is believed she will miss some tapings.
The Beautiful People (Lacey Von Erich and Madison Rayne) defeated Sumie Sakai and Traci Brooks when M. Rayne pinned Traci after a small package in 0:05:15. Sumie Sakai suffered a back injury. She will be out for approximately 1 month. Rating: * 1/4
Miss Elizabeth vs. Velvet Sky
Next up was Miss Elizabeth against the third and final member of The Beautiful People. Velvet Sky knew she was up against a big challenge here, but didn't shy away from the fight, taking Elizabeth down with a couple of quick armdrags in the opening. Elizabeth quickly gained the advantage though, powering Sky down with a bodyslam and a suplex. She even sapped more strength away from Sky by choking her on the ropes. Sky mounted a comeback with several hard forearms that rocked Elizabeth, but when she bounced off the ropes looking for a clothesline to take Elizabeth down, she was met with a kick to the gut and unceremoniously dropped on her face with The Stamford Slam.
Miss Elizabeth pinned Velvet Sky with the Stamford Slam in 0:05:31. Rating: ** 1/2
Alissa Flash vs. Nattie Neidhart w/Jim Neidhart
Alissa Flash came out on top last week in a three-way match which featured Sara Del Rey and her opponent tonight - Nattie Neidhart. Nattie is desperate to win some gold here in TNAW, and to prove her point, she ran out and met Flash on the outside, slamming her into the guardrail and suplexing her on the protective mats on the outside. This gave her the advantage in the first few minutes of the match, and timely distractions from Jim Neidhart gave her more opportunities to wear Flash down. Alissa rocked Nattie with an elbow when Nattie came charging in the corner, and several stiff forearms for Melissa stunned Nattie enough to allow her to hit a drop kick. Alissa then went for the dreaded Curb Stomp. This prompted Jim Neidhart to jump up on the apron and yell at Alissa, who knocked him down with an elbow. This allowed Nattie to roll up Flash with a roll up. Alissa kicked out, but Nattie immediately turned it into the Sharpshooter - forcing her opponent to tap. Maybe a little early, but the Ultimate X match at Tropic Tumble must have been in Alissa's mind.
Nattie Neidhart made Alissa Flash submit to the Sharpshooter in 0:08:22. Rating: *** 1/2 [Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart interfered against Alissa Flash.]
Angelina Love vs. Trisha
Before the match, Angelina told Trisha that she was just an older version of her, and that she should step aside and let the new generation take over. Trisha DID step aside - for Angelina's drop kick attempt, and then took her down with a spear and then hit her with several punches. Angelina was gunning for a big win before the important six-woman tag match at Hawaii, dropping Trisha on her head with a DDT later in the match for a two-count. Trisha did a number on Angelina's chest later on with a series of chops, and eventually hit the Trish-a-licious for the win. Both Trisha and Miss Elizabeth walks into their big grudge match at Tropic Tumble with a win under their belts.
Trisha pinned Angelina Love with the Trish-a-licious in 0:06:34. Rating: ** 3/4
Hamada vs. Jennifer Blake - non-title match
Jennifer Blake with a great opportunity tonight. Even though it was a non-title match, a win against Hamada would surely propel her into the Maiden Title picture, regardless of what happens at Tropic Tumble. You could see Blake really wanted the win, as she withstood Hamada's brutal headbutt offense early on, and even hit a spear for a close call. Hamada was her usual high-flying self in this match, coming back from the corner with a moonsault bodyblock to wipe out Blake. The end came after Blake hit a cross body for a two count. She then went for a clothesline, but Hamada countered it with a crucifix. Blake kicked out, but was hoisted up on Hamada's shoulders and hit with the Hamada Driver.
Hamada pinned Jennifer Blake with the Hamada Driver in 0:07:39. Rating: ***
The KongTourage (Gail Kim, Sojourner Bolt & Queen Kong) w/Prince Nana vs. Sarita, LuFisto & Tara
After almost an hour of nonstop action here on StarStruck, the main event was still to go. Prince Nana led her Kongtourage towards the ring. The imposing trio was up against TNAW World Champion and two of the crowd favorites, Sarita and LuFisto. Kong and Tara started out, giving the fans a preview of what to expect next week in Hawaii. Kong showed how big and fearsome she is when Tara time and time again failed to bring her to the ground, clubbing the champ down and going for the Awesome Bomb. Sarita and LuFisto quickly entered the ring and dropkicked Kong down. Kim and Bolt also entered the ring at this point, and all heck broke loose. Ref Remsburg couldn't contain the match at all, and as SaFisto and Kim/Bolt double-teamed each other in the ring, Kong and Tara brawled on the outside, Kong parading around with the champ on her shoulders in a torture rack position. Prince Nana set up a table on the outside, and Kong actually Awesome Bombed Tara through it! The champ was out cold, and LuFisto ran out of the ring to attack Kong, sending her crashing into the guardrail following a dive from the apron. This left Sarita in the ring alone with the tag-champ, and the Mexican soon fell victim to Gail Kim's Eat Defeat. On the outside, Kong hit an Implant Buster on LuFisto on the floor, and the carnage was complete.
With a maniacal grin on her face, the challenger for the TNAW World Champ left the ring area, a devastation in her wake.
The Kongtourage (Gail Kim, Queen Kong and Sojourner Bolt) defeated Sarita, LuFisto and Tara when Gail pinned Sarita with the Eat Defeat in 0:09:05 Rating: *** 3/4 [Prince Nana interfered against LuFisto.]
Rundown of Tropic Tumble A video package airs, highlighting all the matches for Tropic Tumble.
Tara(c) vs Awesome Kong TNAW World Title Match After winning Queen of the Ring in June, Awesome Kong allied herself with Prince Nana, renamed herself Queen Kong and reinstated the Kongtourage. Since then, she has been an unstoppable force of nature, and tonight, she laid waste to the world champion in brutal fashion. Can Tara successfully defend her title at Tropic Tumble?
Hamada (c) vs Nattie Neidhart vs Alissa Flash vs Sara Del Rey - Ultimate X match for the Maiden Titel Hamada successfully defended her belt against Nattie Neidhart at QOTR, but when a top contenders match between Flash and Del Rey was ruined by Nattie Neidhart who wanted a new shot, Christy Hemme decided to book an Ultimate X match between the four. This will be a first in women's wrestling!
The Kongtourage (c) vs Sarita & LuFisto for the Tag Team Championship Sojourner Bolt was given the tag-team belt when she and Gail Kim joined Prince Nana and re-established the Kongtourage. Sarita felt that her former partner didn't deserve to simply be given the belt, and has recruited a new partner in LuFisto.
Trisha vs "The New" Miss Elizabeth Elizabeth was upset that Trisha sold her soul to the crowd when she apologized for her actions that led to her betrayal of Tara and subsequent title shot at QOTR. These have feuded for the past few weeks, Trisha using her experience to avoid Elizabeth's attacks. Who will have bragging rights after this exotic PPV?
The Beautiful People vs The Blonde Bombers & Daffney The feud between Angelina Love's Blonde Bombers and The Beautiful People continues. The Bombers have recruited a blonde Daffney to join them in this six woman tag match, where the losers will have to be other team's servants for a full month!

TNAW - Tropic Tumble I - 15.08.2010
It's a great summer's night here in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Total Nonstop Action Women presents their first annual Tropic Tumble. It's being held outdoors at the beach, with bleachers set up for the fans. It's reminiscent of some of the old Bash at the Beach shows, and the beach-going crowd is loving the atmosphere as the show starts with a series of videos presenting the various feuds that has led to this PPV.
TNAW World Tag-Team Title Match - LuFisto & Sarita vs. The Kongtourage (Gail Kim & Sojourner Bolt) w/Prince Nana
Prince Nana and his Kongtourage was first out, and Prince Nana wasted no time insulting the Honolulu crowd. His rant was eventually silenced by Sarita and LuFisto, who came out to shut him up and jump-start the PPV with the tag team title match. SaFisto were all over The Kongtourage in the opening minutes, and the tag champs retreated to the outside to recover. It didn't take long before LuFisto dove out on them with a senton from the apron, sending Nana and his champions sprawling in the sand. There had been talks about how the sand could come into play at this PPV, and Gail Kim found another use for it a little later, when she threw sand in the eyes of Sarita, allowing her to tag Bolt and double-team LuFisto for quite a while. The crowd really got to see tag-team wrestling as it should be, as this was a terrific bout. The end came when LuFisto, desperate to make the tag, managed to hit Bolt with a spear, slowly crawling her way towards Sarita. Gail Kim ran out to stop her, but was stopped by the ref. This gave Prince Nana the opportunity to pull Sarita down from the apron, knocking her head on the apron. Without a tag partner to tag to, LuFisto quickly fell prey to the Gory Bomb from Bolt. The Kongtourage retains, and later tonight, Queen Kong may make the night complete for Prince Nana.
The Kongtourage (Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt) defeated LuFisto and Sarita when Bolt pinned LuFisto with the Gory Bomb in 0:12:47. Rating: **** 1/4 (The Kongtourage retained the TNAW Tag-Team Titles.) [Prince Nana interfered against LuFisto.]
Special Joshi attraction tag-team match - Misaki Ohata & Traci Brooks vs. Ayumi Kurahara & Hiroyo Matsumoto
This was supposed to be a special attraction match between four young Japanese girls. One of them was prevented to come due to flight problems, so Traci Brooks took her place. Brooks really got a taste of what the Joshi girls could dish out, but held her own on more than one occasion. Matsumoto awed the crowd by hitting Ohata with a dropkick from the top turnbuckle and to the outside, the sand cushioning her fall. The joshi girls (and Traci) received a standing ovation after the match, a match Ohata/Brooks won after Ohata hit a Fisherman's Buster on Kurahara.
Misaki Ohata and Traci Brooks defeated Ayumi Kurahara and Hiroyo Matsumoto when M. Ohata pinned A. Kurahara with the Fisherman's Buster in 0:11:03. Rating: ** 1/4 (Tomoka Nakagawa no-showed.)
6-women tag-team grudge match - The Beautiful People vs. The Blonde Bombers & Daffney
The longest running rivalry in TNAW continues here tonight, as The Blonde Bombers and their recruit - a blonde Daffney - takes on The Beautiful People in a match where the losers will be forced to be the winners' servants for a month. The match couldn't start right away, as Lacey wanted to wrestle in a bikini, but Madison and Velvet told her to go put some clothes on. Lacey made it known earlier this week that she will be in Playboy next month, as the annual "wrestler in Playboy" column. The Bombers didn't want to wait for Lacey though, and attacked Madison and Rayne on the outside, tossing them around in the sand. Blake got the first near fall when she hit a GOry neckbreaker on Rayne. Lacey came running back with some knee pads and some wrestling shorts and a t-shirt, and quickly applied a claw to Angelina Love on the outside. Daffney broke the excruciating hold by pulling Lacey's hair. Ref Rosenberg never got control over this match, but as the crowd loved the chaotic action, he didn't really care. They fought within the ring, in the sand and even in the water, Love actually bodyslamming Lacey in the water, drenching her t-shirt. Back in the ring, Blake went for the banned Dynamite Destroyer on Velvet, but was hit with a superkick by Madison, sending her over the ropes. Daffney rolled back in to take on the Beautiful People, but was double-teamed by Madison and Velvet. An STO-Yakuza Kick combo sent her down for the 3-count. Looks like The Blonde Bombers have a new job for a month!
The Beautiful People (Lacey Von Erich, Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) defeated The Blonde Bombers (Angelina Love and Jennifer Blake) and Daffney when M. Rayne pinned Daffney after a Yakuza kick in 0:11:48. Rating: ** 1/2
Tryout match - Christina von Eerie vs. Mercedes Martinez
Two independent wrestlers had the opportunity to secure contracts with TNAW tonight when they faced each other in idyllic Honolulu, Hawaii. "The Latina Sensation" Mercedes Martinez is a well-traveled athlete from the east coast, known for her hard kicks and chops and her vicious Fisherman Buster. Christina Von Eerie has a punk rock appearance, with a lot of tattoos and a killer mohawk. Von Eerie got on the wrong side of the crowd early on, as her grumpy behavior and unwillingness to fight Martinez fired up the crowd. Martinez did a number on Von Eerie by chopping her extensively both on the chest and the back, and even if Von Eerie had some nice comebacks, including a crisp tornado DDT, the more experienced Martinez picked up the win with her Mercedes Benz move, a spinal shock variant.
Mercedes Martinez pinned Christina von Eerie with the Mercedes' Benz in 0:09:32 Rating: * 1/2
Ultimate X for the TNAW Maiden Title
It was time for a historic match. Never before had four women met in an Ultimate X match. The champion Hamada had held the belt since winning the vacant title six months ago, but faced a huge challenge now as three other girls were trying to get to the belt. The match started out in a tremendous pace, the girls hitting each other with power move after power move. When Sara Del Rey found herself the only one standing on her feet, she swiftly went to the corner and started moving towards the belt in the middle. Alissa Flash pulled her down. Hamada was also on her way a couple of minutes later, but instead dropped down on Nattie Neidhart, hitting her with a spinning headscissors. Later, Hamada climbed up again, but when she saw Del Rey was on her way to stop her, she flipped backwards against Del Rey with a moonsault bodyblock. Sara caught her though, showing an enormous strength as she dumped her with a tombstone. Nattie focused on injuring her opponents' arms throughout the match, locking Alissa in an armbar and smashing Hamada's arm against the ring apron. Without arm strength, they couldn't climb the cable. Just after the 10-minute mark, Del Rey and Flash was on their way from opposite sides. Just before they reached their goal, they started kicking each other, with the result that they both fell down, wiping out the referee in the process. Sara looked dizzy as she fell with her head first, while Alissa injured her leg in the landing. Nattie and Hamada took advantage of this by starting to climb towards the belt themselves, and it looked like Nattie had a lead! Then, disaster struck the Neidharts as Nattie simply lost her grip, falling to the canvas. Hamada was in reach, when Jim Neidhart ran in and pulled Hamada down, then tossed her to the outside! The referee was still down after being in the wrong place at the wrong time. "The Anvil" then helped Nattie back up, and was walking beneath her to be sure she didn't fell. He almost looked like the father of a 5-year old who had just learned how to ride a bike. With nobody to prevent her from doing so, Nattie grabbed the belt and jumped down into her father's arms. Nattie Neidhart is the new Maiden Champion, but not without controversy!
Four-way Ultimate X Match: Nattie Neidhart defeated Alissa Flash, Sara Del Rey and Hamada in 0:11:58. Rating: *** 1/4 (Nattie Neidhart won the TNAW Maiden Title.) Segment - TBP and their new servants The Beautiful People have found their spots in the VIP section of the bleachers, Angelina Love and Daffney bringing them soft drinks while Daffney is giving Lacey von Erich a back rub. It doesn't look like the Bombers like their new assignment very much, but they don't really have a choice. If they refuse to do as the Beautiful People says, they will get fired.
Grudge match - Miss Elizabeth vs. Trisha
Trisha may be smarter and more experienced than Miss Elizabeth, but she is not as strong and powerful as the amazon. Elizabeth dominated the opening minutes of this match, levelling Trisha with several clotheslines. She knows how to work a counter though, hitting a crucifix at Elizabeth's next clothesline attempt. Her offensive moves was few and far between however, but she showed an uncanny resilience to prove that she still was at the highest level of wrestling ability. When Elizabeth hit the Stamford Slam, everybody thought the victory was secured for Elizabeth, but Trisha kicked out! Elizabeth lost control of herself now, and started choking Trisha against the ropes. Ref Remsburg tried to break it up, and Trisha used the opportunity to kick Elizabeth between her legs and then a bulldog for a two-count. Trisha went for the Trish-a-licious springboard bulldog, but Elizabeth showed her strength by halting the move and dropping Trisha with a back suplex instead. She then deadlifted Trisha up from the ground with two hands, slamming her back down with a double-arm choke slam for the win. No matter who wins tonight's main event, Miss Elizabeth must be considered a prime candidate for the next title shot.
Miss Elizabeth pinned Trisha after a double-arm choke slam in 0:14:15. Rating: ***
TNAW World Title Match - Tara (c) vs. Queen Kong w/Prince Nana
As Tara made her way to the ring, Sojourner Bolt and Gail Kim ran in behind her and blasted her in the back with a beach chair. The assault continued until security came to break it up. The damage had already been done though, as Tara never really recovered in the ring. Kong continued to blast her by clubbing blows and slams, even hitting an early power bomb that must have hurt for the champ. Tara never showed any sign of quitting though, and she earned herself a moment of respite when she kicked out of an Implant Buster. Kong and Nana went to argue with the ref over an alleged slow count, giving Tara some time to heal. She hit a roll-up for a close call, and started a wild onslaught which culminated in a beautiful moonsault that almost put away Queen Kong. She even managed to superplex Kong to the ground, when Kong climbed up for a big splash. The move took its toll on Tara's back though, and you could see her cry out with pain as she made the unsuccesful cover. Kong then went for her backfist series, but Tara ducked all attempts and stepped on Kong's toes. Tara then went for something off the ropes, but was hit with a spinning backfist. Amazingly, she was still standing! She was stunned though, allowing Kong to pick her up and drop her with her sitout power bomb - now renamed The Queen's Fury. 1-2-3.. and we have a NEW World Champion!
Queen Kong pinned Tara with the Queen`s Fury in 0:09:36. Rating: **** 1/4 (Queen Kong won the TNAW World Title.) [Sojourner Bolt interfered against Tara.]
Card rating: ***
Match observations: A great night and a great PPV. The Honolulu crowd got to see both sexy and skilled girls fight it out like never before. We have two new champions, as Nattie Neidhart managed to win the historic Ultimate X match, and Queen Kong, with the help of the Kongtourage, won the World Title against a brave champion in Tara. They also managed to retain their tag team belts. The Beautiful People have earned the services of The Blonde Bombers for one month, and that will surely be interesting. Join us next week for a brand new StarStruck!

And Kong kicks a lot of ass. Great PPV, my friend.

Thanks guys, much appreciated.
Looking forward to the Age of Kong as well.
While I usually feels that the managers should be smaller and weaker than the wrestlers, the "Daddy's Girl" storyline was too good to pass on.

TNAW StarStruck - 21.08.2010
Christina von Eerie vs. Queen Kong w/Prince Nana
Last week, Awesome Kong made history as she was the first woman to win the TNAW World Title (since Tara technically was awarded it by being the Knockout Champion). Tonight, she, Prince Nana and the Kongtourage came out at the onset of StarStruck. Nana told everyone to get used to having Kong as their champ, as the Age of Kong had just begun. He said that she would definitely be a fighting champ, and called out her first challenger. Prazak and Lauren was quite surprised to see the newcomer Christina Von Eerie, come out to face Kong for the title. Von Eerie was hesitant at first, but nobody in their right mind would say no to a title match. At first she ducked Kong's mighty fists, but she was eventually caught with a lariat. After a couple of slams and suplexes, Kong ended this charade with the Queen's Fury, which she now calls her power bomb.
Queen Kong pinned Christina von Eerie with the Queen`s Fury in 0:02:42. Rating: ** 1/4 (Queen Kong retained the TNAW World Title.)
Hemme & Nana showdown After the match, Prince Nana entered the ring and told the fans that Kong had now fulfilled her duty as champ, and would wait another 30 days until her next title defense. Meanwhile, she was going to Ghana where she would be treated as the Queen she is. This brought out Christy Hemme, who told Nana in no uncertain terms that this title match was not valid, and that Kong's duties as champ was not over for this 30-day period yet. Nana called Hemme a no-good white-trashed w**re, and left the ring with Kong, telling the Kongtourage to make an example of Hemme. As the tag champs cornered Hemme, someone jumped the guardrail and slid into the ring with a chair, smashing Bolt in the back and forcing Gail Kim to drag her partner out of the ring. This someone was none other than ODB! What was going on? The last time we saw ODB, she was lying broken and defeated in the ring, courtesy of Christy Hemme herself. Christy was as surprised as the crowd and the announcers, and ODB was given a mic.
ODB told Christy that the best thing that could've happened to her, was being defeated by Christy at Queen of the Ring. ODB says she owes Christy her career and her health, and that she had quit drinking altogether. She tells Christy she is in her debt, and will start repaying that debt by helping her against Nana and the Kongtourage. She then asks Christy to book a tag-title match for tonight, ODB & Christy vs. The Kongtourage! Christy is still a little shocked, but says that the match is on!
Mercedes Martinez vs Sarita
"The Latina Sensation" Mercedes Martinez won a tryout match at Tropic Tumble, and made her StarStruck debut here tonight against another latina, Sarita. These two had a back and forth straight wrestling contest, showcasing a lot of technical and lucha moves. Sarita brought the match down on the mat, trying to find a submission hold to put Martinez in. Mercedes showed that she is no slouch on the ground either, and for a while they traded holds, looking for a tap-out win. In the end, Sarita managed to lock on the chickenwing for the second time in this match, forcing Mercedes to submit. After the match, the two girls shook hands and hugged in a sign of mutual respect.
Sarita made Mercedes Martinez submit to a double chickenwing submission in 0:07:39. Rating: *** 1/4
Trisha makes announcement Trisha comes out to a thunderous ovation from the crowd. Trisha talks about her return to the business and while it has been invigorating, she feels that her body cannot keep up with her head. She therefore announces her retirement. Some in the crowd yells for her to stay, but Trisha has obviously made up her mind. Suddenly, Miss Elizabeth's music starts playing, and the blonde amazon enters the ring with a microphone. Elizabeth is all smiles, and gloats about being the one who forced Trisha into retirement - again. Trisha doesn't put up a fight, and instead tells Elizabeth that she has a bright future ahead of her, and that she doesn't need to resort to the tactics she uses. She then starts to move out of the ring, but is blindsided by Elizabeth, who clubs her in the back and starts choking her on the ropes. She shouts to Trisha that she doesn't tell her what to do! Elizabeth picks up Trisha and chokeslams her to the ground. Before she can do more damage though, the former TNAW World Champion, Tara, slides into the ring, forcing Elizabeth to retreat. As StarStruck goes into commercial, Tara is checking on Trisha.
Tara demands Miss Elizabeth After the commercial, we go backstage where Tara is talking with Christy Hemme. Tara says she wants Miss Elizabeth in the ring at Pretty Amazing (the next PPV, september 26), and that the amazon will pay for ruining Trisha's retirement speech. Hemme says that she had planned for Tara to invoke her rematch clause with Kong at that PPV. Tara asks if she can save the rematch for later. Hemme says she could always do that, but needs a top contender. Tara walks away, telling Christy that she should do a battle royal - the fans love those matches. Hemme says she'll do just that.
Eve Torres vs Jillian Jones vs LuFisto vs Sara Del Rey w/Larry Sweeney
Jillian is back from her injury, sporting an entire new country singer look and taking the last name Jones. She came to the ring playing sour notes on a guitar, but obviously feeling quite satisfied with herself. We also had a debut here tonight, as Eve Torres made her debut in TNAW! The former dancer made quite an impact in the opening minutes, clotheslining Jillian and backdropping Del Rey in a match that turned chaotic pretty fast. For some reason, everyone ganged up on Jillian (possibly because of her awful music), Del Rey leveling her with a koppo kick and letting LuFisto hit her with a flying headbutt. Jillian slid out of the ring and started crying that everyone was mean to her. She grabbed her guitar and was about to leave, when Eve grabbed her hair from inside the ring. Jillian smashed the guitar over Jillian's head, and then walked out. Back in the ring, Sara's amazing strength allowed her to halt a rana attempt by LuFisto and bring her down hard with a powerbomb. She picked up "Super Hardcore Anime" in the Royal Butterfly, and tossed her back in the suplex to pick up the win.
Four Corners Match: Sara Del Rey defeated LuFisto, Jillian Jones and Eve Torres when Del Rey pinned LuFisto with the Royal Butterfly in 0:10:33. Rating: *** [Larry Sweeney interfered against LuFisto.]
The Bombers slaving for The Beautiful People We see footage from the Playboy photo shoot with Lacey von Erich (no X-rated photos though). We also see Madison and Velvet relaxing nearby, Angelina Love and Daffney bringing them drinks and giving them foot rubs. Madison and Velvet are really treating them like the servants they are forced to be for the next month. Jennifer Blake is forced to fetch clothing for Lacey, and spraying her in-between sessions. The Bombers are really pissed, but don't complain too much - their jobs are in the balance.
The Kongtourage (Gail Kim & Sojourner Bolt) w/Prince Nana vs ODB & Christy Hemme for the TNAW Tag Team Titles
After what's happened over the last few months, few would have bet money on ODB and Christy Hemme challenging for the tag-team titles. Nana made his feelings about this match perfectly clear to "the fat slob" Prazak, as he didn't think it was right for the GM to give herself such a match. In the ring, Christy and ODB had the plan ready, attacking Bolt and Kim as they posed on the turnbuckles. The champs spent some time trying to regain their composures, taking control of the match when Bolt gouged Hemme's eyes and hit her with a neckbreaker. The champs controlled ODB for some minutes now, hitting her with a double vertical suplex for a two-count. You could see that ODB had changed though, and so had the crowd's opinion of her, counting along with ODB as she smashed Gail's head ten times into the turnbuckle. Towards the end of the match, Prince Nana brought out a bottle of tequila, waving it temptingly in front of ODB on the apron. ODB spat on Nana, and got the hot tag from Hemme, cleaning house on the Kongtourage and hitting Bolt with her Flying Thesz Press. As the ref counted 2, Prince Nana pulled him out of the ring, causing an instant disqualification. As the Kongtourage withdrew from the match, ODB was screaming at them that this wasn't over.
ODB and Christy Hemme defeated The Kongtourage (Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt) when ODB defeated Bolt by disqualification in 0:08:02. Rating: 1/2* (The Kongtourage retained the TNAW Tag-Team Titles.) [Prince Nana interfered against ODB.]
Card rating: * 3/4
Wow, what a StarStruck! Not only did ODB made her return after rehab, she has aligned herself with her former nemesis in a huge way, teaming up with her in a winning effort against the tag champs. Unfortunately, it was a DQ.
We also had three debuts here tonight, Mercedes Martinez losing in a spirited effort against Sarita, Christina Von Eerie receiving an unsanctioned title shot against Queen Kong and Eve Torres getting cracked in the head by the returning Jillian Jones.
Join us next week, when a 12-women battle royal will decide the top contender to Queen Kong's TNAW World Title!

TNAW StarStruck - 28.08.2010
Christy taking herself of the active roster ODB is in Christy's office, telling her to book a tag team title match against the Kongtourage for Pretty Amazing. They cannot get away with a dq finish. Christy is thoughtful, and tells ODB that Prince Nana is actually right. She cannot abuse her power as a GM to give herself title shots. She then proceeds to take herself off the active roster - at least for now. ODB looks disappointed, but Hemme tells her old friend that this doesn't mean ODB cannot help Christy any more. Christy tells ODB to go out there tonight and win the top contenders battle royal. ODB vows to do just that.
Nattie Neidhart vs. Traci Brooks
The new Maiden Champion was in non-title action tonight, against Traci Brooks. Nattie defeated Traci before Tropic Tumble as well, but Brooks didn't fare a lot better here against the new champ. She hit a clothesline and a senton for a two-count, but from there on, it was all about the third generation champ. Nattie picked up the win with a beautiful German Suplex. During the match, Lauren mentioned that Hamada would receive her re-match next week on StarStruck.
Nattie Neidhart pinned Traci Brooks after a German suplex in 0:03:55. Rating: ** 3/4
So Cal Val interviews Double J, Jillian Jones So Cal Val stands by with Jillian Jones backstage. The country singer is asked why she struck Eve with a guitar in last week's four corner match. Jillian whines and says that everybody was out to get her for having success in the music world, so she took out her frustrations on Eve. She went on to say that Eve was jealous of her success, particularly because all she had managed to do in showbiz, was appear on Deal or No Deal. Eve appeared at this point, yelling at Jillian that nobody cared for her or her music, and that she ruined a perfectly good match due to her petty insecurity. Jillian screams back, and Eve challenges her to a match later on.
The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky) vs. The Kongtourage (Sojourner Bolt & Gail Kim) w/Prince Nana
The Kongtourage were in action this week again, in a non-title effort against the Beautiful People. Velvet and Madison brought out Angelina Love as a foil against Prince Nana, a task Angelina wasn't very keen on doing. Madison warned her against not protecting their backs, as it would be grounds for firing or suspension.
TBP is the most experienced tag-team by far on the roster, and it showed in the early goings, Sky and Rayne making good use of quick tags to take Gail Kim down on several occasions. A superkick on Bolt from Rayne almost gave them the win, but Gail made the save. An eye gouge from Gail allowed the Kongtourage to take control over Velvet, culminating in Gail hitting Eat Defeat on her. Velvet was out of it, but Angelina Love put her foot on the rope, saving TBP from losing. Angelina hid her face in shame, while Madison clapped enthusiastically. Prince Nana then ordered the Kongtourage out of the ring, grabbed a mic and said that the champs will not, under any circumstance, wrestle a cheating team! Ref Mattano counted them out.
The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) defeated The Kongtourage (Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt) when Sky defeated Bolt by countout in 0:10:20. Rating: ** 1/2
This brought out Christy Hemme, who told Prince Nana that come Pretty Amazing, the Kongtourage couldn't escape their opponents like this anymore, as they would be facing The Beautiful People in a match where the title would change on countouts or disqualifications!
Eve Torres vs. Jillian Jones
Country singer vs. dancer/model. Fortunately, both were also competent wrestlers. Double J was all over Eve in the start, clubbing her from behind while on the turnbuckle, hitting a hotshot and then a leg drop. Jillian used the ropes extensively to choke Torres, drawing a warning from ref Mattano. Eve gained control when Jillian missed a clothesline in the corner, whipping her into the other and hitting a handspring elbow followed by a beautiful moonsault. It might be that Jillian handles adversity in a bad way, as she now grabbed the guitar from the apron and smashed it over Eve's head - again causing the disqualification. It's only a matter of time before Jillian's antics must suffer some consequences.
Eve Torres defeated Jillian Jones by disqualification in 0:06:01. Rating: * 1/2
Bombers and Slavers Backstage, Daffney and Jen Blake are ironing clothes for TBP, as Madison and Velvet tells Lacey how Angelina helped them avoid defeat at the hands of the Kongtourage. Lacey has a small chihuahua as well, and she tells Daff and Jen that poor Mr. Claw peed on the bathroom floor, and orders them to clean it up. Daffney says "screw this", and walks out of there, despite warnings that this would cause a termination of her contract. Blake picks up a bucket of water and walks into the bathroom, cursing that she now takes orders from a porn model.
12-woman Battle Royal for the #1 contendership to the TNAW World Title
12 girls battled for a chance of a lifetime at Pretty Amazing. Angelina and Jennifer Blake had obviously received orders to protect Lacey von Erich, the only one of TBP in this match. This fact, coupled with the fact that it was actually Lacey who eliminated Jennifer when she had saved herself from being tossed out by Miss Elizabeth, didn't sit to well with Girl Dynamite. Lacey simply ran into the ropes, pushing Blake off the apron. LuFisto, von Eerie, Lacey, Love and Flash were also eliminated early. Larry Sweeney had tweeted about this match earlier today, claiming that Sara Del Rey was destined for greatness. His jaw almost fell to the floor when Sarita threw her out. Sara wasn't done though, as she re-entered the ring despite the protests of the referees. She gave Sarita a piledriver, and tossed her out as well. What a cowardly thing to do!
The final four was Miss Elizabeth, Hamada, ODB and the newcomer, Mercedes Martinez. Elizabeth dominated in the ring, sending ODB down with a big boot, clotheslining Martinez and then tossing Hamada out. Prazak said it was only a matter of time before we would see Kong vs Elizabeth IV. ODB and Martinez had some success double teaming Elizabeth, but the bigger woman would not be eliminated that easily, and turned the tables on them, clotheslining both out of the ring! As she turned and gloated, the fans were pointing at the apron. Both girls had managed to land on it! Miss Elizabeth managed to drop kick Martinez off of it, but ODB jumped back in and slugged it out with her. Elizabeth had her positioned for the Stamford Slam, but ODB reversed it and hit a backdrop. She then sent Elizabeth into the ropes and hit a devastating power slam before picking her up and sending her flying through the ropes.

Match observations: ODB has emerged as the new top contender for the TNAW World Title! It wasn't long ago that she puked in the ring and lost to Christy Hemme at The Queen of the Ring. Now, she will have what she has wanted since the onset of TNAW, a title match at a PPV. Daffney lost her patience with the slaving Beautiful People. TBP has actually asked Christy to not fire her anyway, but Daffney is at least suspended for a time.
Join us next week, as Hamada and Nattie goes one on one for the Maiden Title!

Starstruck 7.17: - I'm actually liking the feud you've built here with Bolt and Sarita, plus it gives Kim and LuFisto something to do. - Miss Elizabeth vs Tara? Sounds good to me! Liking the face Trisha. I'm assuming you might feed her to Kong on the way to Kong taking out Tara for the title. - Boo! The more I've seen of Velvet Sky, the more I like. I hope she eventually ends up with some sort of push. - This is a serious wrestling company so we get the "Loser Must be a Servant" match....gotcha. - Poor Nattie. - I'm really loving the Kongtourage. They are just devastating as a group. Far more than the WWE group you had for the previous months, IMO. Starstruck 7.24: - Wow!!! Loving this. Kongtourage just utterly destroying Hemme was awesome. You have built her up to the point where I have no idea how Tara will retain, but at the same time, Tara has beaten all challengers. This is very well built up title match. - Nice win for the TBP. - I have a feeling things aren't going to end well for Larry. - Lacey Von Erich vs Daffney? Umm...yikes. - Pretty big win for Tara here, and Trisha continues to impress me. These four are quite the headliners to build off of. Good stuff.
