Starstruck 7.31: - I can't complain with a Prazak beatdown. - Good to see Trisha back on her game. Problem being, I don't know who should go over between her and Elizabeth. Both need the win. - Love it that Lacey is using the Claw. Does she use that in real life? - That's J-i-double l-i-a-n. - So Cal Val wondering if Elizabeth was scared of water was priceless. - Surprised Prazak didn't sit out the rest of the night after the avalanche by Kong. - Man, you must really have it out for Nattie. Starstruck: 8.7: - As much as I like Sky, I figured she had no chance against Elizabeth. And that's how it should be. - Yes! Glad to see Nattie come away with a win here. She had kind of dropped a bit recently. This should push her nicely into maybe taking the title at Tropic Thunder? Doubtful, but I can still hope. - Sheesh, the Kongtourage just destroyed Tara and SaFisto. That was just brutal. You have done an amazing job on the build to Tropic Thunder: Predictions: - Kong almost has to go over Tara. Unless there's a DQ. - Del Rey wins the Maiden Title. - SaFisto win the tag straps to at least send some of the fans home happy since the heels will be going over in the two main matches. - Trisha over Elizabeth to set up her vs Kong, maybe. - TBP go over to end the feud.

Tropic Tumble: - I don't know why I've kept saying "Tropic Thunder"....sorry 'bout that. Didn't mean to compare your product to a Hogan movie. - I'm actually kind of happy Kim and Bolt went over. They probably wouldn't have anything better to do, and if Kong wins the World Title, it will be quite the dominant stable. - I like the idea of a special attraction match, even if I don't have a clue as to who three of them were. - TBP winning is a great thing. I would like to see them move on, but I know you have some other stuff to deal with (the servant thing). - Nattie! Really happy to see her go over and win the Maiden Title. It just seems like she will have more challengers than Hamada had. - Wow, really surprised Miss Elizabeth went over. There really wasn't a wrong winner here. And that means good booking. Great job here, only problem being this must mean that Tara goes over Kong. - But maybe not! I love Kong going over here, but wow, the heels just decimated the faces here tonight. Great stuff though. - I really enjoyed the PPV. Helped finish off a couple of angles, but definitely builds to the future. I know Tara will be wanting a rematch, Miss Elizabeth is in line, and Trisha should still be talked about. - Hopefully TBP get back into the tag title scene as well. Great stuff.

Starstruck 8.21: - The Age of Kong is just amazing. - Great way to bring ODB back. I was wondering how you were going to handle her return, and you've done it in about the best way possible. So I guess Hemme and ODB go after Bolt and Kim for awhile? Or will ODB be the first sacrificial lamb to Kong? - NO!!! TRISHA CAN'T RETIRE! - I like battle royals. - I keep expecting Del Rey to break out and win a title or move up to the main event scene. Maybe this is the win she needed. - Hemme and ODB would make interesting champions. Depending on who wins the battle royal, I guess this will be the tag title match at the PPV. - Starstruck 8.28: - Interesting that Hemme is off the roster, but it's probably for the best. - I definitely like the idea of putting the Kongtourage up against TBP, especially with the Blonde Bombers in their corner. Should be interesting and probably the match I'm most looking forward to at this point. - Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if Daffney is fired. - Kind of surprised that ODB won it, but I think it's the right decision. It fits in really well with her going out there to get revenge for Kong's attack on Hemme. I can't see her winning the title, but the angle is definitely a good one. Good stuff once again. I've definitely missed TNAW.

TNAW StarStruck - 04.09.2010
Prince Nana doesn`t accept top contender As StarStruck opens, Prince Nana and Sojourner Bolt make their way to the ring. Nana takes the mic and says he's appalled by the "choice" to make ODB top contender. He says that ODB doesn't deserve to be in the ring with Queen Kong, being a drunken old white-trash. ODB comes out and says she won that top contendership fair and square by winning that battle royal. Nana says he doesn't care about Christy Hemme's stupid little ideas, and tells ODB that if she wants a title shot, she needs to complete a small test - defeating Sojourner Bolt. ODB accepts, stating that she needs more practice after her rehab anyways.
ODB vs. Sojourner Bolt
ODB was all over Bolt in the early goings, levelling her with a couple of clothesline before taking her along with an airplane spin. Nana was screaming for Bolt to put her winning game on, but a gutwrench suplex was the closest thing she came to putting a W in the column tonight. After a brief stint on the outside, where ODB rammed Bolt into the ring apron and even threatened Nana with some bodily harm, ODB rolled Bolt back into the ring. Bolt tried to hit a surprise elbow, but ODB evaded it, bounced off the ropes and hit the Flying Thesz Press for the win.
ODB pinned Sojourner Bolt with the Flying Thesz Press in 0:06:54. Rating: ** 1/4
Slave Blake and Mistress Lacey Jennifer Blake is painting Lacey's toenails while Lacey is talking with somebody on the phone. Lacey is telling all about her pretty little slave. The talk is really annoying Jennifer, but she's pulling herself through it. Lacey tells Jennifer to go fetch her a drink. When she walks away, Blake looks at the camera, and with a menacing look says: "Just one more week, playboy girl... one more week.."
Sarita and Mercedes join forces So Cal Val stands by with Sarita and Mercedes Martinez. Sarita says that after their match, she felt that the chemistry between the two was so great that they created a new tag-team. Sarita says that she has searched for a regular partner all since Taylor left, but feels Mercedes may be the one.
Miss Elizabeth interview So Cal Val catches up with Miss Elizabeth, who is furious with Tara, postponing her re-match so that she could challenge her for a match at Pretty Amazing. Elizabeth says that it doesn't really matter, she just retired Trisha, now she's gonna retire Tara as well.
Jennifer Blake & Lacey von Erich vs. Girls Gone Wild (Sarita & Mercedes Martinez)
Just before the Blonde Bombers were about to go out to their match, Lacey von Erich insisted on replacing Angelina Love. She gave Blake a good hug, telling Angelina that she wants to tag with her little slave.
Jennifer didn't really want to cooperate with Lacey all that much, which led to Girls Gone Wild dominating Blake for a couple of minutes, until Lacey blind tagged Blake, taking Mercedes down after her hair. She tagged Blake back in, and together they did some nice double-teaming, hitting a double suplex. The team of von Erich and Blake didn't do too bad though, and Martinez was really looking for the tag - a tag she couldn't get, because Sara Del Rey ran in and pulled Sarita down from the apron, slamming her into the guardrail and hitting a koppo kick on her. Back in the ring, Jennifer Blake distracted the ref, while Lacey von Erich applied the Iron Claw on poor Mercedes, forcing her to submit.
Lacey Von Erich and Jennifer Blake defeated Girls Gone Wild (Sarita and Mercedes Martinez) when Lacey made Sarita submit to the Iron Claw in 0:09:02. Rating: **** [Sara Del Rey interfered against Sarita.]
Jillian Jones music video Jillian Jones new hit music video, "The Special One", airs in the StarStruck Zone, the crowd booing it immensely.
Eve Torres interview So Cal Val interviews Eve Torres, who seems more interested in talking about Jillian Jones' awful music, than to her own start here in TNAW. Eve says that while she can appreciate a good country tune, Jillian Jones does not sing a good tune.
TNAW Maiden Title Match - Hamada vs. Nattie Neidhart (c) w/Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart
Hamada cashed in her rematch against Nattie Neidhart in tonight's main event, and as usual, these two put on a heck of a match. Hamada displayed her vast array of martial arts maneuvers in the beginning, hitting a leg lariat for a two-count. Nattie started attacking Hamada's leg in order to both weaken her ability to hit those devastating kicks, and also to soften her up to the Sharpshooter, a move she eventually locked in at the 10-minute mark. Hamada held on, and grabbed the ropes. The fans were off their feet chanting as Nattie kicked out of a moonsault, Hamada doing the same after a discus lariat. Ref Remsburg was knocked down after a missed dropkick from Hamada, and daddy Jim slid a broom into the ring. Nattie swung it at Hamada, who ducked and hoisted Nattie up on her shoulders, hitting her with the Hamada Driver. Remsburg crawled over and slowly counted the 2-count. Hamada lifted Neidhart up again, hitting another Hamada Driver to win back her Maiden Title belt!
Hamada pinned Nattie Neidhart with the Hamada Driver in 0:14:31. Rating: **** 1/4 (Hamada won the TNAW Maiden Title.) [Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart interfered against Hamada.]
Card rating: ****
Match observations: Hamada is the NEW Maiden Title champion, after yet another classic match between her and Nattie Neidhart. You can bet that this is not the last they've seen of each other.
Join us next week, for a very special four-corner match, featuring former TNAW World Champion Tara, Miss Elizabeth, Jillian Jones and Eve Torres!

Great to have you back Josh! Hopefully we'll see some WCW cards soon too!
Terrific feedback by the way, appreciate it. I'll respond to some of it.
- As I'm sure you know by now, Elizabeth won the the feud because Trisha gave notice. She might have won it either way, but with Trisha leaving, Miss Elizabeth got the win.
-ODB returning and allying herself with Hemme was always the plan. The Battle Royal win was originally meant to be someone else.. an upper midcarder that suddenly quit on me.. but I think ODB winning it and going up against Kong makes sense. Hemme quitting the roster was a result of Hemme being crap in the ring and only having a heat of 3.
- Tara had a nice reign, but Age of Kong was inevitable. I tried to set the standards for her reign early on with a rather quick win at the Tumble.
- I didn't consider the fact that heels won almost all of the matches :S Don't know what I could have done otherwise though, and not changed my future plans.
- The special attraction match was because I saw that I had rather few matches really, and the proximity to Japan meant that it was plausible to bring in some joshi stars.
- The Bombers/TBP feud seems to be one of the feuds that lasts forever and that I cannot seem to end it in a favorable way. The slave-thing bought me some time, and even though it's kinda Sports Entertainment / TNA feel, I'm pleased with the way it's gonna end.

I'm actually starting to like this ODB angle. It's growing on me.
Yeah, I think TBP are in for some punishment when the whole servant thing ends. Especially Lacey.
I am kind of hoping Miss Elizabeth beats Tara, but I doubt you can go that way. After ODB there really isn't another option for Kong to face but Tara. Unless you go heel vs heel with Miss Elizabeth, I guess.
Hmm...that's odd. I could have sworn you wouldn't put Lacey and Blake over. Maybe something is going a different way than one would expect.
Like the Torres-Jillian stuff. Fun little mid-card feud.
Poor Nattie. Definitely didn't expect the title to switch so quickly. I kind of like it though as it gives off that anything can happen at any time. You don't always need a champion to reign over 3-4 months. I like long title reigns, but short reigns have their place too.
Good stuff.

Thanks for the comments, I appreciate them. Sometimes I'm not too sure where a feud will end. I'm actually booking the next PPV right now, and I'm rather unsure of at least two outcomes.
Can't wait until I reach the next chapter of the Bombers/TBP.. It'll be interesting, I think.

TNAW Behind the curtains
Tropic Tumble ended up with approximately 4000 buyers, same as the last two PPVs. A rumor has it that the price for the next PPV will be cut in half to see if that will bring more buyers. The TV ratings have gone up to a steady 0.2, something Dixie Carter is quite happy with.
As for the three last PPVs this year, they will be called Pretty Amazing (Sept. 26), Through the Gates of Hell (Nov. 14) and Pride & Glory (Dec. 19). Through the Gates of Hell will probably be a gimmicked PPV, meaning all matches will be some sort of gimmick match / have a stipulation.
Patricia Strategias (Trisha) re-retired after Tropic Tumble. In interviews, she said she loved her brief stint back, but always wanted it to be temporary.
Alissa Flash gave notice after Tropic Tumble. This was rumored to be a blow to the booking committee, who had great plans for Alissa. She left on good terms however, and might be back in the future.
Several new talents have been brought in lately, and the management have been especially satisfied with Mercedes Martinez. Sarita has changed partners quite often this year, but there are huge hopes for Girls Gone Wild. The mohawk sporting punk chick Christina von Eerie will probably be enhancement talent for the time being, while Eve Torres is being touted as an extraordinary talented girl who just needs the right tutelage to be a huge star.
Morale in the locker room is good for the time being. Angelina Love is getting some heat for saying on a radio show that she think's she belongs in the main event scene, but she's still very much a part of the future of TNAW.

Through the Gates of Hell has to be some sort of cage match theme. Trisha better return sometime next year... Ouch. Didn't expect Flash to quit. She was pretty good in her role as a mid-card star. I don't know if she ever would have made it up the Heavyweight Title, but she was definitely somebody I wouldn't have been shocked to win the Maiden Title. You tell'em, Love! I've always been a big fan of circuits letting people know when people quit or backstage stuff, so I really enjoy the Behind the Curtains posts.

TNAW StarStruck - 11.09.2010
The Neidharts demand justice! StarStruck opens with the former TNAW Maiden Champion, Nattie Neidhart, coming to the ring with her father, Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart. The Neidharts are fuming, and Jim said that last week, a grave injustice was perpetrated on StarStruck, when his darling daughter lost her precious Maiden Title, a title she had only held for three weeks since winning the very first Ultimate X Women's match. Nattie grabbed the mic, saying that it wasn't fair that 3 small seconds was enough to take her title away from her. She demanded a re-match, right away, 2/3 falls!
Christy Hemme came out, and told the Neidharts that while she understood their frustrations of losing the title so soon, Hamada DID regain the belt fair and square. Christy then told the Neidharts that their proposition is a sound one, but one more suited to Pretty Amazing. The Neidharts accept, and we have ourself a 2/3 falls match for the Maiden Title!
Nana sets another obstacle for ODB Prince Nana and Gail Kim was out next. Nana says that even though ODB won the Battle Royal AND defeated Sojourner Bolt last week, he still didn't see ODB as a valid challenger for Queen Kong's "regalia". But, Nana being the fair man he was, could acknowledge ODB's contendership if she defeated the other half of the TNAW Tag-Team champions, Gail Kim.
Gail Kim w/Prince Nana vs. ODB
While these obstacles that Prince Nana has set out for ODB may not have any implications on her official contendership, it at least gave ODB valuable match training before her big match against Queen Kong at Pretty Amazing. Gail Kim has been the Knockout champ before and did challenge Tara several times for the belt early in 2010. ODB had her hands full in the opening, with the more agile Kim trying to injure ODB for her stablemate. ODB, however, seems hellbent on repaying Christy's favors by winning the World Title, and did take pleasure in having to go through the rest of the Kongtourage before reaching the grand finale of Queen Kong. ODB hit the Flying Thesz Press on Kim for the win in this great opening bout.
ODB pinned Gail Kim with the Flying Thesz Press in 0:10:28. Rating: *** 3/4 [Prince Nana interfered against ODB.]
Sitdown interview with Tara So Cal Val interviews Tara in her locker room. Tara says that Miss Elizabeth has it all wrong. Tara still wants the world title back, but sometimes, other affairs comes in the way. Like avenging a dear friend. After taking care of Elizabeth, she is going after the title belt, no matter who has it, be it Queen Kong or ODB.
Last week of slaving for the Bombers It's the last week of slaving for the Bombers (sans Daffney, who quit and hasn't been seen around for some time), and The Beautiful People are pushing them hard, forcing them to clean their locker room, bringing them take-out and even completing Lacey's SAT test. Jennifer Blake is seething of rage, and takes comfort in knowing that this is the last week of slaving. Lacey then tells Jennifer to join her for her match with Christina von Eerie, to watch her back.
Christina von Eerie vs. Lacey von Erich w/Jennifer Blake
In the battle of the von's, Jennifer Blake was reluctantly watching Lacey's back during the match. The rookie, von Eerie, used all kinds of tactics in bringing Lacey down, including eye gouging, choking and distracting the ref by claiming Blake was trying to interfere. When von Eerie fished out a steel chain from her trunks, Blake was the only one to see it. While it bugged her big time to do it, she jumped up on the apron and grabbed Christina's arm. Christina knocked Blake down with the chain, but was distracted from Lacey, who rolled her up for the win. After the match, she was celebrating with Jen Blake, who was less than enthusiastic for Lacey's win.
Lacey Von Erich pinned Christina von Eerie after an inside cradle in 0:06:37. Rating: DUD
Interview with Sarita In the back, So Cal Val is talking to Sarita, who is telling Sara Del Rey to stay out of her business. Sarita claims Del Rey cannot handle failure, and her being eliminated from the battle royal two weeks ago by Sarita, tipped her over the edge. As she is saying this, Sara comes from behind and clobbers her in the back. Sara continues to stomp on Sarita while Larry Sweeney is egging her on. Sara says that there is always someone there to sabotage her shot at a title, and that Sarita will pay for it. Sarita's tag team partner, Mercedes Martinez comes to the rescue, chasing Del Rey and Sweeney away with a chair.
Eve Torres vs Jillian Jones vs Miss Elizabeth vs Tara
The main event saw Tara take on Miss Elizabeth, Jillian Jones and Eve Torres in a four-way match. Tara and Elizabeth has already a match set for Pretty Amazing, and Jillian Jones and Eve Torres have also been at odds, Jillian smashing her guitar over Eve's head in another 4-way match two weeks ago. The tension could be felt in the opening minutes, Tara wanting Elizabeth in the ring, but only getting Jillian or Eve. Elizabeth blind tagged Jillian finally, brutalizing Eve until Eve connected with an enzuigiri and was able to tag Tara. The former world champ was all over Miss Elizabeth, and the two superstars tumbled out of the ring in a heap. Jillian took the advantage and tossed Eve back in the ring, but was hit with a surprise clothesline that took her out of the ring too. The four girls brawled on two different sides of the ring, but neither was in it. Jillian almost got herself back in before the ref had counted to ten, but Eve gave some payback to "the Special One" by hitting her in the head with her own guitar.
Four Corners Match: Miss Elizabeth, Tara, Eve Torres and Jillian Jones battled to a quadruple countout in 0:14:55. Rating: **
Card rating: * 1/2
Match observations: An interesting StarStruck, to say the least. ODB has overcome all obstacles set out by Prince Nana, and will face the TNAW World Champion, Queen Kong, at Pretty Amazing in two weeks.
Two fierce rivals, Tara and Miss Elizabeth, will also do battle, and we got a taste of that tonight, when the two didn't heed the ten count in their wild brawl.
Two other that didn't answer the ten count was Eve Torres and "the Special One" Jillian Jones. Those two have had their problems since Torres debuted in TNAW, and they will meet at Pretty Amazing.
And in a match all true fans of wrestling will look forward to, Hamada will defend her regained Maiden Title against Nattie Neidhart.

- 2/3 falls is a stipulation not use enough. Can't wait for the rematch. - Poor tag team champions. I like the way you are building up ODB here. - I'm still not sure where you are going with the Bombers-TBP angle, but the slave angle was far better than I thought it would be. - Sheesh, Blake sure is going above and beyond in helping out Lacey. - Hmm....I guess you'll have to find a partner for Del Rey. - A quadruple countout...that might just be the first one I've seen.

TNAW StarStruck - 18.09.2010
Prince Nana and the Kongtourage in the ring StarStruck opens with the TNAW World Champion Queen Kong in the ring together with Prince Nana and the Kongtourage. Nana says it's an outrage that Queen Kong has to defend her belt against ODB, who in his mind hasn't proved anything in TNAW. This brings out ODB, who is furious with Nana, asking him what she needs to do to prove to him that she's worthy of a title shot against the almighty Kong. She has already won a 12-woman Battle Royal and defeated both members of the current Tag-Team champions. Nana says that might be true.. but she hasn't defeated them both at the SAME TIME yet. ODB tells Nana to bring it on, but Nana says it'll have to wait until main event time. Looks like ODB's up against not just one, but two opponents here tonight.
Angelina Love vs. Tara
The one-month slavery period of Angelina Love is over, and it's time to get back in the ring. Tara is the former World Champion though, and Miss Wrestling needed a perfect match to pull this off. She held her own for quite some time, drilling Tara with a DDT for a 2-count. Tara came back like a house of fire, taking Love down with a superplex and clotheslining her out of the ring. The two started brawling outside the ring, Love sending Tara into the guard rail. She rolled back in to restart the ref's count, but the ref physically prevented her from going back out there. The ref had his back turned to Tara, so he didn't see Miss Elizabeth run in and clock Tara in the head with a chair. Miss Elizabeth rolled Tara back into the ring, and a very fortunate Love made the cover for the upset.
Angelina Love defeated Tara via pinfall in 0:07:42. Rating: ** 1/2
Lacey von Erich on Playboy So Cal Val interviews Lacey von Erich on the Playboy photo shoot. Lacey says she's so excited to see the photos in print, and Val says that so's a lot of the male fans. Suddenly, Jennifer Blake clubs Lacey in the back, stomping away on her. When So Cal Val asks why she's attacking Lacey, Jen says that the likes of Lacey has nothing to do in the business, and that she will prove it at Pretty Amazin, when she challenges her former slaver to a match, one on one.
Jennifer Blake vs. LuFisto
After the unprovoked attack on Lacey von Erich, Jennifer Blake took out the rest of her frustrations on LuFisto. This match was fast and furious, with fists flying and kicks being exchanged. It could have gone either way, with LuFisto hitting Blake with a huracanrana and nailing Blake with a Shining Wizard. Blake fought back though, levelling LuFisto with a devastating clothesline. It went back and forth, until Blake wriggled her way out of a Burning Hammer attempt and hit a superkick out of nowhere to pick up the 3-count. After the match, Blake told the camera: "Lacey! If I can do this to HER, what do you think I can do to you!"
Jennifer Blake pinned LuFisto after a superkick in 0:07:36. Rating: *** 1/4
Eve Torres sings a little song We see a video of Eve Torres dressed in a cowgirl outfit holding a guitar. She clearly doesn't play herself, and mimics Jillian's strut. After parodying Jillian's song in a sour voice, she tells Jillian to bring her game at Pretty Amazin, cause Double J Jillian Jones isn't the only one who can sing a sour tone OR wield a guitar.
Sara Del Rey w/Larry Sweeney vs. Sarita
This rivalry originated when Sarita had the audacity to eliminate Sara Del Rey from the Battle Royal a few weeks ago. Del Rey went straight back in, gave Sarita a piledriver and eliminated her too. Since then, Sara and her agent, Larry Sweeney, has targeted Sarita to blame for Sara's lack of title opportunities. This match was a technical affair for the first minutes, Sarita landing a belly-to-belly for the first big move. Sara knows suplexes herself, almost getting the pin with a german suplex. The two were jockeying for position in the ring, both of them going for their finishers, when Sarita blocked the piledriver, hitting the Tiger Driver instead. Larry Sweeney couldn't let Sara lose, so he ran in and broke the pin, causing the DQ. They continued to stomp away on Sarita for a few seconds, until Mercedes Martinez ran in to drive them away. Sarita and Sara will meet at Pretty Amazin, hopefully we can have a decisive finish then.
Sarita defeated Sara Del Rey by disqualification in 0:08:05. Rating: ** 1/4 [Larry Sweeney interfered against Sarita.]
Hamada and Neidhart at each other throats Backstage, Nattie and Jim Neidhart are harassing Hamada, telling her that her win on StarStruck two weeks ago, was a fluke. Hamada, not one to back down, starts doing martial arts maneuvers, pushing the Neidharts back. Jim gets in between the girls and starts doing some silly shadow boxing, when Christy Hemme comes upon them. Christy says that they need to stop this right away. She knows they don't like each other and that they have a match against each other in two weeks time, but they need to put their differences aside until the PPV, because next week, they will team up against the Beautiful People. Hamada and Nattie stares at each other while Jim tries to talk reason with Christy.
ODB vs. The KongTourage (Gail Kim & Sojourner Bolt) w/Prince Nana in a Handicap match
ODB might have tried to bite over more than she can chew in this one, taking on both Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt in a handicap match. She tried gaining an early advantage by sneaking into the ring from behind, taking both her opponents down with clotheslines and back elbows. She tossed Gail Kim to the outside, jumping on her with a Thesz Press. This allowed ODB to handle just Sojourner. She almost put away Bolt in this time. Nana helped Kim back on her feet, and she pulled ODB out of the ring, slamming her into the ring post. ODB tried to fight them off, but even though you're the top contender for the biggest prize in the game, two tag-champs is too much for you. After twisting out of Bolt's Gory Special, she ran into Gail Kim's Eat Defeat.
Handicap-Match: The Kongtourage (Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt) defeated ODB when Gail pinned ODB with the Eat Defeat in 0:09:00. Rating: ****
Prince Nana then told ODB that next week, Queen Kong would also be facing two opponents, but unlike her, she would win. Nana was then about to order a beatdown of ODB, but The Beautiful People, The Kongtourage's opponents at Pretty Amazin, entered the ring area and warned Nana about laying a finger on ODB. Gail Kim told TBP that their futile attempt at the tag titles, would come to an end next week.
Card rating: *** 1/4
We're only one week and one StarStruck away from Pretty Amazin, the PPV where ODB's complete makeover will face its ultimate challenge - Queen Kong! One other match scheduled from tonight, Jennifer Blake vs Lacey von Erich!

TNAW StarStruck - 25.09.2010
Prince Nana tempting ODB ODB enters her locker room, only to find a huge gift basket containing a six-pack, two bottles of wines, a bottle of whiskey and a bottle of vodka. She stares at it in contempt, shaking her head but still extending an arm against the forbidden fruits. Then, Prince Nana enters the locker room, laughing and telling ODB that this is a gift for him. He knows she must be thirsty. ODB grins, but tells Nana that his games does not work on her, especially not one night before her big title shot. Besides, she says as she tosses the bottles in the trashcan, she mostly drank tequila anyway.
Jennifer Blake apologizes Jennifer Blake enters The Beautiful People's locker room, approaching Lacey von Erich and telling her she's sorry about the sneak attack last week. She was only so pent up with fury after one month of servitude. Even though she is skeptical at first, Lacey smiles and hugs Jennifer and says it's alright, and that she forgives her. Lacey says she hopes their match at Pretty Amazin is still on? They can have a nice, competitive match. Blake laughs, saying that their match will not be competitive, as she's the only REAL wrestler of the two. Anyway, Jen has taken it upon her to make sure Lacey is in shape for their match, and have booked her in a match tonight. Against Miss Elizabeth!
Lacey von Erich vs. Miss Elizabeth
Lacey von Erich didn't look ecstatic as she made her way to the ring for her match against Miss Elizabeth - a match arranged by Jennifer Blake, Lacey's opponent tomorrow at Pretty Amazing. Elizabeth showed her strength by hoisting Lacey up in a gorilla press right after lock-up, and dropped her on her face. Elizabeth didn't punish Lacey more than she to though, and after a couple of kicks and suplexes, she simply put her away with the Stamford Slam. Throughout the match, Elizabeth was looking over her shoulder, trying not to be blindsided by Tara.
Miss Elizabeth pinned Lacey Von Erich with the Stamford Slam in 0:02:29. Rating: * 3/4
Tara attacking Miss Elizabeth Even though Tara didn't attack Elizabeth during her match, she did tackle her right after Elizabeth had entered the backstage area. The two girls clubbed each other with hard rights, Tara shoving Elizabeth into the wall and slamming a table into her gut. Security, directed by Christy Hemme, came to separate them. Elizabeth screamed for the guards to get their hands off her, claiming she would sue for sexual harrasment. These two enemies will get their hands on each other tomorrow night.
The Blonde Bombers (Angelina Love & Jennifer Blake) vs. Girls Gone Wild (Mercedes Martinez & Sarita)
The Blonde Bombers have been more or less busy with being slaves for The Beautiful People for the last month, but tonight they're were back together against the relative new tag-team Girls Gone Wild, the latinas Sarita and Mercedes Martinez. Their teamwork seemed a little rusty in the start, allowing Sarita and Martinez to frustrate both Blake and Love with supreme technical and ground-based wrestling, wearing them down with submission moves. A DDT from Sarita on Love yielded a two-count. The Bombers got back into the driver's seat when Blake yanked Mercedes' hair from the outside. They double-teamed her for a couple of minutes, preventing her from making the hot tag to Sarita. Finally, Mercedes managed to block a superkick from Blake, hitting her with an enzuigiri. As they both crawled to their respective corners, Larry Sweeney jumped the guard rail from the crowd and pulled Sarita down from her apron. Sarita took the bait and jumped after him into the crowd, where Sara Del Rey was waiting!
As Sarita and Del Rey brawled through the crowd, Mercedes had nobody to tag, allowing Angelina Love (who had been tagged in by Blake), to enter the ring and lock on the Choke Sleeper from behind. Martinez failed to respond to the referee, and the match was won by the Bombers.
The Blonde Bombers (Angelina Love and Jennifer Blake) defeated Girls Gone Wild (Sarita and Mercedes Martinez) when Love defeated Martinez when Martinez passed out in the Choke Sleeper in 0:11:41. Rating: ****
Queen Kong w/Prince vs. Christina von Eerie & LuFisto
ODB failed to win her handicap match last week, and now Queen Kong had the chance to gain the mental advantage by doing the opposite. The odds were not exactly the same as with ODB, as Kim and Bolt are the tag-team champions, while Christina von Eerie and LuFisto have never worked together before and didn't look like they were on the same page anyway. LuFisto tried to communicate a pre-emptive strike on Kong as she posed in the corner, but von Eerie either didn't get it, or didn't want to as she maybe remembered what Kong did to her the week after Tropic Tumble. Even though Kong swatted LuFisto away like a fly, Super Hardcore Anime managed to lock in a Cristo submission. Von Eerie dropkicked Kong though, breaking the hold. The two never managed to work together, and when Kong caught LuFisto in the bearhug, von Eerie walked away after receiving the evil eye from Kong.
Handicap-Match: Queen Kong defeated Christina von Eerie and LuFisto when Kong defeated LuFisto when LuFisto passed out in a bearhug in 0:05:34. Rating: ***
Kong squeezes on After the bell, Kong doesn't let go of LuFisto, squeezing her until she just hangs there limp as a rag doll. The crowd is shouting for ODB, and she doesn't let the fans down, running down the aisle for the rescue. Kong lets LuFisto go and meets ODB head on. The challenger ducks Kong's swing, taking her down with the Thesz Press and attacking her with a barrage of fists. Kong pushes her away, but before the behemoth can get to her feet, ODB is back on top of her like a rabid wolverine, punching and kneeing her. Gail Kim and Bolt come running, and ODB rolls out of the ring. Nana's plan to give Kong the psychological advantage may have backfired!
The Beautiful People want the belts Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne cut a promo where they say that their problems with Angelina and Jennifer Blake are over now, and that they will move on to get what's rightfully theirs - the TNAW Tag Team Titles.
The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky) vs. Hamada & Nattie Neidhart w/Jim Neidhart
Christy Hemme joins the announce team for this match, where she explains the odd pairing she made last week. She says that Hamada and Neidhart have given the fans some of the best matches in TNAW so far, and working together gives them the opportunity to learn even more about another. The more you know about your opponent, the better the match will be, says Hemme and Prazak can't argue against that logic.
At first, Hamada and Neidhart work together as a team, their desire to always win overcoming their dislike for each other. Sky and Rayne are a great team, but they had problems handling Nattie's extreme technical work or Hamada's swift style and hard kicks. Still, TBP had a few quick pin attempts after a cradle and a sunset flip on Neidhart, giving the match an intense and exciting feeling. As the match neared the 10-minute mark, Neidhart started getting impatient with the current Maiden Champion, yelling at her when she didn't make the pin cover after a yakuza kick, instead going for a standing moonsault which Rayne rolled away from. She blind-tagged Hamada with a stinging chop to the back, but right ran into a superkick from Rayne. On the outside of the apron, Jim Neidhart mouths off against Hamada, even coming with a couple of obvious racial slurs. Hamada stunned Jim with a kick to the head, and then simply left. Nattie shouted to Hamada to get back on the apron, but the Japanese superstar wouldn't listen. With two against one, Nattie didn't stand much of a chance, and the Beautiful People gave her The Makeover en route to their title match tomorrow.
The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) defeated Nattie Neidhart and Hamada when Sky pinned N. Neidhart after the Makeover in 0:15:13. Rating: *** 3/4
Card rating: *** 1/2
Match observations:
Tomorrow night is Pretty Amazing, and the PPV is stacked with terrific matches!
Lacey von Erich vs Jennifer Blake - Jennifer Blake didn't like slaving to TBP, especially not Lacey who, according to Blake, isn't a real wrestler, but a Playboy model who has a job simply because of her family name. Can Lacey prove her otherwise?
Sarita vs Sara Del Rey - Sara really wants a title soon, and Sarita prevented her chances in the Battle Royal by eliminating her. Sara was a sore loser and eliminated Sarita afterwards, and their feud has only blossomed since then. Will Sarita shut Sara up and make her realize that she cannot blame everyone else for her failures?
The Beautiful People vs The Kongtourage (c) - Madison and Velvet were tag champs for a short while earlier this year, and after having taken care of the returning Angelina Love and her new partner, their goal is again the tag belts.
"The Special One" Jillian Jones vs Eve Torres - the returning Jillian Jones soon made an enemy out of the debuting Eve Torres - the former dancer having been at the receiving end of more than one guitar shot. Jones feels Torres makes fun of her country music, while Torres says she simply states the obvious. It sucks.
Hamada (c) vs Nattie Neidhart - Nattie finally won the Maiden Title at Tropic Tumble, only to have the title wrested away from her at the re-match a couple of weeks later. This will be the last match between these two this year, and to make sure that 3 short seconds won't be decisive, this will be contested in a 2/3 falls match.
Tara vs Miss Elizabeth - Miss Elizabeth defeated Trisha last PPV, and the following StarStruck saw Elizabeth ruin Trisha's retirement speech. Trisha's friend Tara willingly gave up her rematch against Queen Kong (at least for now) for a shot at Miss Elizabeth, and the two titans will meet tomorrow night.
ODB vs Queen Kong (c) - ODB's makeover is almost complete. From being left battered, bruised and humiliated in the ring at Queen of the Ring, ODB went through rehab and has returned a new woman. Now a good friend of GM Christy Hemme, ODB won the 12-woman Battle Royal to crown a top contender. Prince Nana didn't approve of this, but after defeating both Sojourner Bolt and Gail Kim, ODB has cleaned away the ring rust and is ready for the biggest challenge of her career. The question is: is Queen Kong ready for the unpredictable ODB?
Join us tomorrow on PPV!

Starstruck 9.18:
- Not a huge fan of handicap matches, but we'll see how this turns out.
- Big, big win for Love. She needed something coming off the slavery angle and this was definitely it.
- Hmm...Blake and Von Erich isn't done. I thought they might actually become some sort of allies after the slave angle.
- Sarita and Del Rey is a fun feud, and whoever comes out on top will probably be in line for a pretty big push. I'm hoping it's Del Rey.
- I love Jim Neidhart doing some shadow boxing! That had me laughing.
- Glad to see the tag champs go over in the handicap match. Good booking there.

Starstruck 9.25: - The Nana-ODB stuff reminds me of the Jerry Lawler-Jake Roberts feud from back in, I think, 1996. - Hmm...odd that Von Erich is that quick to accept an apology. - Nice four stars for the Bombers match. Didn't expect to see that. Not sure where you are going with Girls Gone Wild since they just started teaming up, but Sarita is already preoccupied with her feud with Del Rey. - Unlike last week, I actually don't mind Kong going over in the handicap match. She's one of the few types of wrestlers that it doesn't really harm the losing team. Not to mention you booked it really well since Lufisto and Eerie are not a regular team. - Glad to see TBP on track. Really enjoying the build to Pretty Amazing. Things have gotten just enough to keep me interested, but not too much so that I'm bored. Great job. I'll go Blake over Von Erich. Del Rey over Sarita TBP over Kongtourage Jones over Torres Neidhart over Hamada Tara over Elizabeth Kong over ODB Looking forward to it.

Thanks for the comments Josh. I'm not a fan of handicap matches either, especially not the WWE ones, where the current champ usually demolishes the tag-champs. I thought it made sense to have the tag champs lose to the #1 contender in singles competition, but defeat her in a handicap match. I don't feel like ODB lost anything in the process either. Kong on the other hand should be able to defeat a jobber and a lower midcarder who's not on the same page. The Bombers/TBP feud is definetely over after Pretty Amazing - I promise

TNAW - Pretty Amazing - 26.09.2010
Sara Del Rey vs. Sarita
The match didn't start out scientifically as Sarita might have wanted, but as a chopfest where the strength and brutality of Sara Del Rey had the upper edge. Sarita pulled out one of her own specialities sending Del Rey spinning with a headscissors, and Larry Sweeney deemed it necessary to trip her up to allow Sara some respite. The rest of the match continued in the same vein, with Sara punishing Sarita, and the Mexican being hindered by Larry Sweeney whenever she tried to mount a comeback. This brought out Sarita's new partner, Mercedes Martinez, who chased away Larry Sweeney. Sara looked a little bewildered at this point, allowing Sarita to come fully back into the match. She even caught Sara's arm and was ready for the Tiger Driver, but Sara pulled down and got the strength she needed to backdrop Sarita, hitting her with a koppo kick as a follow-up and a set-up for the piledriver that put Sarita away.
Sara Del Rey pinned Sarita after a piledriver in 0:10:17. Rating: ** 3/4 [Larry Sweeney interfered against Sarita.]
Jennifer Blake vs. Lacey von Erich
Lacey von Erich is on everybodys lips after she appeared in the September issue of Playboy, but one who speaks of her with ill disguised disgust, is Lacey's former slave, "Girl Dynamite" Jennifer Blake. Blake wanted to prove that Lacey doesn't belong in this business, and attacked Lacey with a fervor at the start of the match, hitting her with forearms and elbows. She even took her outside the ring, slamming her head into the ring announcers table and chopping the heck out of her with a series of Kobashi chops. Lacey received a ton of beating, but did not bow under. Finally, Lacey had had enough, reversing a suplex attempt and locking on the Iron Claw. Blake screamed out in pain, and for a moment it looked like Blake would quit or pass out. Blake reached the ropes though, and the ref Mattano had to break it up. As Lacey pleaded with the ref, Blake recovered and hit Lacey with a superkick to take home the W.
Jennifer Blake pinned Lacey Von Erich after a superkick in 0:07:33. Rating: * 3/4
After the match, Jennifer took the mic and told Lacey that she was wrong. Someone who can take that much beating without quitting or rolling over and die, definitely deserves to be in the business. Lacey's earned her respect.
Eve Torres vs. "the Special One" Jillian Jones
Jillian Jones' return ended with Eve Torres being on the receiving end of a guitar shot, and that event sparked the rivalry that led us here tonight - a grudge match between these two beauties. Both proved that they were very athletic, Eve using her dancing background to dazzle the crowd with a nice handspring elbow on Jillian in the corner. Jillian, on her hand, pulled out a flashy move we haven't seen from her here in TNAW yet - the 450 Splash! Eve was a little to close to the ropes though, putting her foot on the bottom rope. This frustrated Jillian almost to tears, and forced her to reach for her guitar. The ref stopped her, allowing Eve to almost pick up the win with a small package. A dropkick from Torres sent Jillian into the ref, knocking him over through the ropes and out of the ring. Eve picked up the guitar, but decided against using it. This little distraction allowed "The Special One"to rake Eve's eyes, pick up the guitar and smash it over Eve's head. Even though the ref spent some time getting to his senses, Jillian takes home the victory.
Jillian Jones pinned Eve Torres with the Full Nelson Bulldog in 0:09:44. Rating: ** 1/4
Disaster for The Beautiful People In the locker room of the Beautiful People, a doctor is checking on Lacey's bruises. Meanwhile, retching sounds can be heard from the toilet, and we see Madison Rayne crouched over the can. Velvet asks her if she's ok, and the doctor says she probably has food poisoning. She's vomiting and sweating and runs a fever. There's no way she'll be able to wrestle. Same for Lacey, she cannot pull double duty. Velvet sits down, sighs, and says that the title slipped their grasp this time as well. "Not necessarily," says Angelina Love who enters the locker room and offers her services to velvet. Velvet asks if she can trust Angelina. Angelina says she doesn't know that, but she must understand Angelina wants this title as much as she does. Madison emerges from the toilet looking terrible, and nods softly, telling Velvet to go out there and win the titles. To win the titles for The Beautiful People.
The KongTourage (c's) (Gail Kim & Sojourner Bolt) vs. Angelina Love & Velvet Sky w/Madison Rayne
At first, Prince Nana wanted to throw the match out because this wasn't the match they'd signed up for, but Christy Hemme came out and made it quite clear that the fans had paid to see a TNAW World Tag Team Title match, and that it was going to happen.
Velvet knew that Angelina had sabotaged their chances of winning the titles before, and was hesitant to tag Angelina in. She therefore stayed in the ring for far too long, giving the Kongtourage ample opportunity to punish her thoroughly and try to put her out. Love even had to break up a pin attempt after an arm trap neckbreaker from Kim. Finally, Velvet broke lose from the Kongtourage and slowly crawled towards her corner. Everbody and their grandmother expected Angelina Love to jump down from the apron, but she didn't, and was all over Bolt and Kim, sending them down with flying forearms. The teamwork was splendid from here on out, Love and Sky hitting Bolt with a double clothesline for a 2-count. Chaos erupted as Kim hit Love with the Eat Defeat, but Love drop-kicked Kim over the ropes. Prince Nana hit the ring trying to get their team disqualified and save the championship, but Love threw the prince through the ropes. Bolt went for the Gory Bomb, but Love slid down her back, hit a DDT and locked in the Choke Sleeper. Kim tried to crawl back in, but Velvet held her away, and didn't let go until she saw ref Mattano signal to the timekeeper that Bolt didn't respond.
Angelina Love and Velvet Sky are the new tag-team champions!
Velvet Sky and Angelina Love defeated The Kongtourage (Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt) when Love defeated Bolt when Bolt passed out in the Choke Sleeper in 0:14:00. Rating: *** 3/4 (Velvet Sky and Angelina Love won the TNAW Tag-Team Titles.)
A grand celebration Angelina Love and Velvet Sky return to their locker rooms, celebrating their big win. Jennifer Blake, Lacey von Erich and Madison Rayne are also part of this celebrating (that is, until she runs away to the bathroom). Lacey wants to know what this means for The Beautiful People and to the Bombers. Velvet says she doesn't know, but that they should have a meeting about it next week. Jennifer asks if it'll be like a board meeting, and Lacey says she's always wanted to be in a board meeting. Love says the meeting can wait, now it's time to celebrate!
Nattie Neidhart w/Jim Neidhart vs Hamada (c) in a 2/3-falls match for the TNAW Maiden Title
It's time for the final showdown between Nattie and Hamada. No more quick pinfalls, no more first woman to pick down the belt. 2/3 falls - the ultimate decider. Even though their matches have almost reached legendary status, the rivalry hasn't come to the hatred that defines other feuds, like Tara/Elizabeth and even Torres/Jillian. That's why the first few moments were a smorgasboard of technical brilliance, each girl coming up with reversals and counter reversals. Even Jim Neidhart stayed out of it.
The heat was turned up a notch or two when Nattie hit a flash schoolgirl out of nowhere, holding her tights for the 3-count. Guess Nattie should've wished for a normal match now. The technical went out the window, hard-hitting kicks and punching were on the agenda now, Nattie buckling after being hit a dozen times with kicks on her thighs. Hamada went for the Hamada Driver, but she was too close to the apron, and daddy Jim pulled her down. Nattie locked in the Sharpshooter, but Hamada was too close to the ropes, and it didn't do much damage. Shortly thereafter, at the 15-minute point, Hamada hoisted Nattie up on her shoulders and delivered the Hamada Driver to make it all even.
Hamada was all over Nattie at once, punching her and throwing her to the outside where they brawled extensively. Nattie even missed an elbowdrop, surely injuring it on the concrete. They narrowly made the 10-count a couple of times, but it might look like a draw, as Prazak mentioned that they were closing in on the 20-minute time limit. Finally, Nattie managed to trap Hamada in the middle of the ring with the Sharpshooter. Hamada held on, but neither did Nattie let go. At the same time, Jim went over to the timekeeper to ask for the time. The timekeeper looked down on his stopwatch and said something, something which prompted Jim to steal the stopwatch! The timekeeper tried to stop him, but lacked at least 100 lbs on the retired wrestler. In the ring, Hamada held on for at least a minute, the crowd shouting for her to not tap, but in the end, that was what she did. But who knows? Had the time limit expired?
Two-out-of-three-Falls Match: Nattie Neidhart beat Hamada 2 falls to 1: x N. Neidhart beat Hamada via a schoolgirl roll up in 0:08:49 x Hamada beat N. Neidhart via the Hamada Driver in 0:15:30 x N. Neidhart beat Hamada via the Sharpshooter in 0:20:25 Rating: *** (Nattie Neidhart won the TNAW Maiden Title.)
Miss Elizabeth vs Tara
Tara and Miss Elizabeth's hatred culminates here tonight, and this was a wild brawl from the get go, Tara winding up the crowd with a 10-punch series in the corner. Elizabeth needed to pull out some big guns early on, hitting Tara with a sitout power bomb for a 2-count. Tara went for the Widow's Peak, but it was too early and Elizabeth wasn't stunned enough. Tara tried softening her up with a spinebuster. The high power moves in the beginning of the match took its toll on the contestants, as they needed a lot of extra time to recover in the latter part of the match. Even so, Elizabeth managed to hit a Stamford Slam on Tara, but as the very FIRST woman to do so, Tara kicked out. Tara fought back, and hit the Widow's Peak - only to have Elizabeth kick out of that one too! The two almost fell victim to a double ten-count, but then both slid out of the ring on opposite sides, tossing a chair each into the ring. The referee picked up Miss Elizabeth's chair and threw it out again, and turned around just in time to see Tara smash Elizabeth's skull in with the chair - causing the DQ. Tara was apparently angry with herself for getting herself disqualified, but tossed the chair at Elizabeth and left the ring.
Miss Elizabeth defeated Tara by disqualification in 0:14:08. Rating: *** 1/4 [Chair interfered against Miss Elizabeth.]
ODB vs. Queen Kong (c) w/Prince Nana
It's time for our main event, as the complete makeover of ODB culminates here tonight against Queen Kong. ODB was all over Kong from the start, reversing an irish whip and hitting a splash in the corner. ODB sent Kong over the top ropes with a clothesline, and continued the attack on the outside, even picking the champ up and slamming her into the ringpost. She went for a clothesline against the post, but Prince Nana pulled Kong away, and ODB crashed into the ring post. Kong started to punish ODB extensively now, almost putting her away with the Implant Buster. ODB, backed by the fervent crowd, started regaining her strength, countering a power bomb attempt with a rana. ODB even hit the Flying Thesz Press, but the Kongtourage ran in to try and break it up. ODB rolled away from a splash attempt from Bolt, causing Bolt to splash Kong instead. ODB then sent Gail Kim flying and gave Bolt a big boot which also sent her outside. Ref Remsburg allowed the match to continue, and ODB went for another Flying Thesz Press. This time, Kong didn't go down, and sent ODB down with a devastating spinebuster. This softened up ODB for the Queen's Fury powerbomb, allowing Kong to retain in this exciting main event.
Queen Kong pinned ODB with the Queen`s Fury in 0:12:44. Rating: *** 1/4 (Queen Kong retained the TNAW World Title.) [Sojourner Bolt interfered against ODB.]
Card rating: *** 1/4
Match observations:
Pretty Amazing was.. well.. Pretty amazing! Three new champions, The Bombers and The Beautiful People burying the hatchet and forming an alliance and Queen Kong continuing her dominant reign.
We'll see you next week for StarStruck!

- I'm happy to see Del Rey go over here. I think she has a pretty strong future. - That was a nice way to end the Lacey-Blake feud. Definitely not what I expected. I actually thought you were going to end up pulling out a lesbian angle. - Oooh....interesting. Love and Sky teaming is a nice little swerve. - I really like the idea of putting Blake and Love with TBP. - I really like the writeup for the Hamada-Neidhart match. Especially the ending. Probably one of my favorite matches I've read of yours. Jim Neidhart stealing the stopwatch was really good story telling and a cool unique way to end the match that I haven't seen before. - That was probably the best result to keep Tara strong and not let Miss Elizabeth eat another pinfall. - There was never much doubt that Kong was retaining, but you kept it interesting. Great card. Probably my favorite supercard you've done so far. Can't wait to see where you go from here.

Thanks for the nice comments Josh, I'm glad you didn't comment on the fact that there was only 1 face victory (and even that was just 50% face, at least until the end). I remember doing the same "mistake" at Tropic Tumble. I wonder if this is because all my feuds are more or less at the same place in its progress.. hmm.. something to think about..
Yeah, I was very happy with how the long-lasting TBP/Bombers feud ended. I have huge plans for this group, they will be a force to be reckoned with.
I'm glad you liked the writeup for Neidhart/Hamada. I really have trouble writing for Hamada, both feuds and matches. There's so much easier to write matches with more colorful characters, managers, run-ins or gimmick matches. 2/3 falls matches with a lot of technical wrestling.. not easy.. so thanks!
I'm really falling behind here now.. buying Fable 2 was probably not such a good idea after all..

TNAW - Behind the Curtains
The TV numbers have varied between 0.1 and 0.2 since Tropic Tumble. Dixie Carter is said to be quite pleased with this, especially since it doesn't seem to drop lower than this. The price for Pretty Amazing was slashed in half, resulting in a rumored record 10 000 buys. It remains to be seen whether the price will remain so low for Through the Gates of Hell.
There hasn't been a lot of other happenings in TNAW as of late. There is some arguments here and there, but nothing major. Alexis Laree is the only one on the injury list, and it is not known if she will return this year or not.

TNAW StarStruck - 02.10.2010
Mercedes Martinez vs. Sara Del Rey
Last Sunday on Pretty Amazing, Sara Del Rey defeated Sarita. Tonight, Sarita's partner in Girls Gone Wild, Mercedes Martinez, would go one on one against Del Rey. These two are no strangers to one another, and according to Dave Prazak at the announce booth, they have had several tough battles on the independent scene. This was a slobberknocker as well, the girls lightning up each others chests with chops and forearms, until Del Rey gained momentum with a barrage of quick elbows followed by a koppo kick that leveled Martinez. Del Rey continued to punish Mercedes, until the Latina Sensation suddenly hit Death Rey with a drop toe hold and locked on an STF. Del Rey made it to the ropes, gouged Mercedes' eyes and hit a german suplex for a 2-count. Sarita made her way down to the ring to cheer on Mercedes at this point, and Sweeney tried to force her to leave. This distracted Sara somewhat, as she took her eyes of Martinez. She then went for a suplex, but Mercedes blocked it and executed a small package that held Sara down for the 3-count! A small upset here at the start of StarStruck!
Mercedes Martinez pinned Sara Del Rey after a small package in 0:08:33. Rating: ** 1/4
Board meeting We see a video from a conference center, where The Blonde Bombers and The Beautiful People have rented a meeting room. They're all nicely dressed as if they were actually having a board meeting, Velvet Sky even wearing some prescription glasses she doesn't need, Lacey going around asking the others if they want coffee or tea and Angelina Love struggling to make a Power Point presentation work. Madison Rayne loses patience with Love, and starts writing on a whiteboard. First order on the agenda: Find a name! Lacey suggests a combination of the two groups' names: The Beautiful Blonde People Bombers. The other shoot down the idea, saying that bombing people aren't very nice. The Beautiful Blondes is also rejected, as it must be allowed to dye your hear and Lacey is apparently not a natural blonde anyway. Angelina then suggests to simply keep The Beautiful People, and all seem to agree on that, since they're all rather beautiful.
Jillian Jones vs. Traci Brooks
Jillian Jones won in her first PPV match after her injury, defeating Eve Torres, but not without help from her trustworthy guitar. Traci held her own for a while against "the Special One", kicking out of a few pin attempts and even sending Jillian to the outside for a breather following a clothesline. Still, Jillian wants to be considered a major player in TNAW again, and a Full Nelson Bulldog finished Traci for tonight.
Jillian Jones pinned Traci Brooks with the Full Nelson Bulldog in 0:06:42. Rating: ** 1/2
Eve Torres vs. Sumie Sakai
Eve Torres has recovered from another brutal guitar shot by Jillian at Pretty Amazing, and wrestled the returning Sumie Sakai here tonight. Eve's biggest strength is her amazing agility and gymnastics background, even though she hasn't many years of experience in the ring, her handsprings and sommersaults is enough to dazzle the crowd and dizzy her opponents. It might not have been enough against Jillian and her guitar on Sunday, but it was enough against Sumie Sakai who fell victim to a sommersault senton from the second rope.
Eve Torres pinned Sumie Sakai after a somersault senton in 0:03:44. Rating: ** 1/4
Eve interview Lauren entered the ring after Eve's match and congratulated her on her fine win. Eve said that a win is a win, but she was more interested in talking about the defeat at the hands of Jillian. Eve said that if the playing field had been equal, she would have defeated "the Special One", she says. And if given the chance to fight her again, WITHOUT a guitar, she would prove she was more than a dancer turned wrestler.
Christy announces Through the Gates of Hell After the commercial, Christy Hemme comes out and talks about the great PPV last weekend. Christy says it's time to look forward to the next PPV, to be held October 10. It's called Through the Gates of Hell, and will be a special PPV. ALL the matches will be matches with different special rules. She already has one match signed! After listening to Eve Torres talking about an even playing field, she decided to book a match between Eve and Jillian where BOTH can use the guitar as a weapon. At Through the Gates of Hell, they will meet in a Guitar on a Pole match.
The Beautiful People w/Lacey von Erich & Jennifer Blake vs. The KongTourage w/Prince Nana
Time for the main event! The KongTourage might have lost their belts at Pretty Amazing, but together with the TNAW World Champion Queen Kong and their benefactor, Prince Nana, they're still a force to be reckoned with. Their opponents: the new tag-team champions of Velvet Sky and Angelina Love together with Madison Rayne - The Beautiful People reunited again! Quick tags in the first few minutes saw TBB dominate Gail and Bolt, until Gail saw it prudent to tag in the powerhouse Kong. Nice triple-work from the lovely threesome saw Kong taken down though, until Prince Nana tripped Rayne and allowed Kong to level the tag champs with a double clothesline. The Kongtourage dominated the match for a while now, Bolt knocking the breath out of Love with a spinebuster and Kong knocking Sky loopy with a backfist. It was a battle to see who could muster the best teamwork, albeit with Prince Nana's girls having a huge advantage in Kong. Then, Tara decided to make her presence known at the ringside area, coming down and gesturing to the World Title in Nana's safekeeping. This provoked Kong (who was the legal woman) to leave the ring and go after Tara. Nana and the rest of the team tried to persuade her to re-enter the ring before ref Remsburg counted the 10-count, but Kong didn't heed them at all, focusing on the yelling match that ensued between herself and Tara. The Beautiful People win their first match back together!
The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky) defeated The Kongtourage (Gail Kim, Queen Kong and Sojourner Bolt) when M. Rayne defeated Kong by countout in 0:14:53. Rating: ** 3/4
Major showdown After the commercials, the ringside area have been cleared for everyone except for Tara, Queen Kong and Prince Nana. Tara says that even though she didn't use her re-match clause right away after losing the belt at Tropic Tumble, she hasn't forgotten about it. She's invoking her rights now, and demands to face Queen Kong at Through the Gates of Hell. Queen Kong moves menacingly towards Tara, but Nana holds her back. Prince Nana says that they have no objections to seeing Tara being decimated yet again, and that Christy Hemme can book the slaughter for all he cares. This brings out Miss Elizabeth, who keeps her distance to Queen Kong, the bloody and violent feud those two had earlier this year fresh in mind. Elizabeth says that unless Tara suffers from amnesia, it was SHE who won the match at Pretty Amazing and that it was she - she now looks wearily and maybe a little frightened at Queen Kong - who deserved the title shot. Tara responds that it might be a W for Miss Elizabeth in the history books, but it was Tara who walked out of the ring without help from the referee. At this, ODB also comes out. ODB says that the only reason Kong still has the title around her waist, is her minions interfering whenever Kong doesn't meet someone who rolls over dead after two minutes. ODB says she's not through with the Queen, and that the others will have to get in line. All four start talking and arguing with each other now, forcing Christy Hemme to come out and calm things down. The general manager says they all have valid points, and the joy of being GM is that it IS actually possible to please everyone.
Christy Hemme then says she will create a special match for Through the Gates of Hell, a match where all four of them will be involved and where the biggest prize in TNAW would be on the line. She says it will be a unique match not seen in the wrestling world so far.
Card rating: ** 1/2
Match observations:
WOW! It's still five more weeks to Through the Gates of Hell, but everybody should be looking forward to it. Hemme's announcement about a special match involving four of the major players in TNAW should be enough to whet everyone's appetite for that PPV, and the specifics about that match will be revealed next week on StarStruck. Also on Starstruck next week, the Neidharts will have to answer the question on everyone's mind: had the time expired when Hamada submitted to the Sharpshooter?

- That's a big win for Martinez. I keep thinking Del Rey is going to pull away and get shot up to the main event scene, but she just never gets over the hump.
- Boo! I want the Beautiful Bond People Bombers!!! Funny segment.
- Good to see both Jones and Torres come away with victories after Pretty Amazing. I'm also pretty happy to see their feud continue. Something about those two seems to click for me.
- TBP shoot right back up to the main event scene which is nice. I like them there.
- Whoosh! I love the idea of a four corners match of some type. I don't know if you are going elimination chamber on us here or going to do something different, but this is really becoming interesting.
Another good card coming off the PPV and builds to the next one rather nicely.

Well, Sara did win at the PPV, and that's what's really count. It's kinda weird, because on the indy scene, a Martinez win wouldn't be that big of an upset. I do like Del Rey though, and if she'll just hang in there, she'll get her big push I love writing for TBP as well, it'll be exciting to see how I'll write/book such a large face group. The four-corner match will probably be the biggest thing I've done since the War Games match, so I'll look forward to that. It will decide the main event scene for some time to come. Thanks for the comments!

TNAW StarStruck - 09.10.2010
Christina von Eerie vs. LuFisto
Two weeks ago, Christina von Eerie left LuFisto high and dry in a 2 on 1 match against Queen Kong, and the Hardcore Anime had specifically requested this match. The mohawk sporting von Eerie tried using some short cuts to victory in this one, but it was all LuFisto's game as she cruised her way to victory with a Burning Hammer.
LuFisto pinned Christina von Eerie with the Burning Hammer in 0:05:21. Rating: ** 3/4
Board meeting It was time for another board meeting for The Beautiful People. First thing on the agenda was new outfits. Jennifer and Lacey showed some new yellow outfits (kinda like in Kill Bill), but they end up with something more or less the same as now, with pink tops and black bottoms. Everyone will have their own name on the back, written with silver and gold. They then decide to wrestle each other, so that everyone gets to see their semi-new outfits.
Madison Rayne vs. Sojourner Bolt
Sojourner have lost the tag-belt to Madison's friends, and now she wanted to take out her frustrations on her. After Madison gained the upper hand early on with some nice technical display and a sitdown faceslam, Sojourner gouged the eyes to gain the momentum, and quickly started working on Madison's leg. She even pulled Madison to the corner post, slamming Madison's leg against it. As ref Rosenberg admonished her, Gail Kim ran in and slammed Madison's leg a couple of times more. Jennifer and Lacey ran in to force Gail into retreat, but the damage was already done. Madison buckled when attempting a suplex, and Bolt locked on a half boston that forced Rayne to tap. When the KongTourage went to the back, they made it clear to The Beautiful People that they were going to get their belts back.
Sojourner Bolt defeated Madison Rayne when Madison Rayne passed out in a half Boston in 0:08:03. Rating: **** [Gail Kim interfered against Madison Rayne.]
The Beautiful People (Love & Sky) vs. The Beautiful People (Blake & von Erich) - non-title match
Four of the five members of the Beautiful People were testing their abilities against each other in a friendly tag contest where the belts were not on the line. It involved mostly technical wrestling, holds and counter-holds, but also some high flying cross-bodies from Angelina and a double suplex from Jennifer and Lacey on Velvet. The match also included some comedy, as Jennifer Blake tried to tag in Angelina, only to realize they were on opposite sides this time. Lacey may be slowling evolving into a good wrestler, but Angelina and Velvet are the tag-champs, and took home the win with a small package on Lacey. After the match, all four (plus a limping Rayne) hugged in the ring and showed off their sparkling semi-new outfits.
The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky) defeated The Beautiful People (Jennifer Blake and Lacey Von Erich) when Love pinned Lacey after a small package in 0:08:52. Rating: * 3/4
Nattie and Jim has a lot to answer for Backstage, So Cal Val stands by with Jim Neidhart and his daughter, the Maiden Title Champion, Nattie Neidhart. So Cal Val wants to talk about the allegations against Jim Neidhart, who stole the timekeeper's watch in the 2/3 falls match against Hamada at Pretty Amazing. Neidhart admits to "borrowing" the watch to check the time, and that he forgot to return it. He says that it was a lot of time left on the clock. Nattie interrupts, saying that it really doesn't matter, that it's water under the bridge. She says that she wants to come with a special challenge for Through the Gates of Hell. Since all matches are to have a stipulation, she wants to decide her own. She continues, saying that while she's the best technical wrestler in the world, she is also the best all-round wrestler in the world. Nattie challenges anyone to a Hardcore match for the Maiden Title! "Did somebody say Hardcore match?" a voice says, and the Super Anime Hardcore LuFisto shows up. Nattie defeated LuFisto earlier this year in a Flag Match, but a hardcore match is really LuFisto's element! Jim looks nervous, but Nattie says that she's defeated her before, and will do so again. So Cal Val asks Nattie if she knows what LuFisto's experience in hardcore wrestling is, but Nattie says she doesn't care about where her opponents have been - only that they will be going out on a stretcher!
Hamada vs. Sarita
Wow! This was a fast-paced match from start to finish, as lucha faced joshi in another spirited contest. High enzuigiris, stiff kicks and brutal elbows were still the order of the day, as Hamada wants to get back in title contention and Sarita needs to pick up a win to also move up in the ranks. The two knew each other well and had counter measures ready. When Hamada went up for a moonsault after 4 minutes, Sarita nipped up and hit a dropkick on the airborne Hamada. It was just after this that Larry Sweeney came to the announce booth, telling Dave and Lauren that last week's loss to the newcomer Martinez was a fluke on Del Rey's part, and that they shouldn't forget that she beat Sarita at Pretty Amazing. PPV wins mattered the most, it gave the most money in Sweeney's pockets. After almost forcing Hamada to tap to La Reinera, Sarita let herself be distracted by Sweeney's presence, allowing Hamada to roll up Sarita for a 2-count. Hamada followed up with a series of strikes, and then a vicious STO that sent Sarita to the ground. Hamada went quickly to the ropes, hitting a moonsault for the victory.
Hamada pinned Sarita after a moonsault in 0:09:32. Rating: **** 1/4 [Larry Sweeney interfered against Sarita.]
Sarita yelled at Sweeney after the match, but Sweeney responded by giving Sarita his card..
Miss Elizabeth vs. Tara
This was a rematch from Pretty Amazing. "The NEW" Miss Elizabeth might have won the contest through DQ after being laid out by Tara and a steel chair. This started out as a brawl before the bell rang, the two titans clubbing each other with devastating forearms. Elizabeth used the ropes to choke some air out of Tara, sapping her strength from her. A sidewalk slam yielded a two-count. Elizabeth continued to punish Tara, desperate to pick up a pinfall win. She seemed to settle for a countout win, as she rammed Tara into the steel steps. She tried to irish whip the former TNAW World Champ, but Tara reversed it and sent Elizabeth head first into the post. The crowd was on fire, and so was Tara as she pummeled Elizabeth. As ref Remsburg counted towards 10, Queen Kong came out from the curtains and made a beeline for Tara, clubbing her in the back - causing the dq.
Tara defeated Miss Elizabeth by disqualification in 0:08:28. Rating: ** 3/4 [ODB and Queen Kong interfered against Tara.] [Queen Kong interfered against Miss Elizabeth.]
Post-match brawl ODB and Tara ganged up on Queen Kong, trying to take the champ down. Their attempt on taking down the big lug was stopped by Miss Elizabeth, who threw the steel steps at the threesome, causing them to scatter. Security
Card rating: *** 1/4
Match observations: We have four hungry competitors for the TNAW World Title - no doubt about that. The weeks leading up to Through the Gates of Hell will be exciting, and soon Christy will reveal the match format itself.
The KongTourage look to re-gain their belts, but The Beautiful People have become even more powerful with the merger of The Blonde Bombers, and might be an unstoppable force.
Nattie Neidhart might have defeated Hamada at Pretty Amazing, but she might have gotten herself into quite the pickle at Through the Gates of Hell. LuFisto might not be in the topper echelon here at TNAW at the moment, but hardcore is her style. She used to defeat male wrestlers in death matches not too many years ago!
Join us next week, as Christy sheds some lights on the main event for TtGoH, TBP holds another board meeting and Eve Torres, Jillian Jones, LuFisto and Nattie Neidhart faces each other in a four-corner match.

I'm surprised Rayne lost the match, but it does give a little momentum back to Bolt. I was totally confused with the Beautiful People (Sky and Love) vs the Beautiful People vs Blake and Von Erich. I guess it was just a typo. I love how you book pretty much everybody involved in this match. You continue to do a great job with them. I'm a little surprised LuFisto is next in line for a shot at the Maiden Title, but this will be a nice way to build Nattie up a bit. I really liked the bit with Sweeney giving Sarita his card. It got a chuckle out of me. Poor ODB. Getting accused of interfering against Tara even though she obviously had done no such thing during the match. Really looking forward to Through the Gates of Hell if only for the four corners match at this point.
