PRO WRESTLING IMMORTAL Strength in Numbers
The landscape of Pro Wrestling Immortal has changed more than ever before over the last few months, as original stars William Regal, Dick Murdoch and Steve Williams (among others) departed the company. Romero Contreras stepped up and ended the Reign of Regal, but fell prey to new arrival Eddie Gilbert after a heinous fireball attack. Chris Harris returned from his second forced layoff, seeking revenge against James Storm! The heroes of PWI finally learned to band together against the villains, as the carnage of The War Games were brought to Pro Wrestling Immortal!
Stretcher Match Ted DiBiase vs Skip Sheffield
Ted DiBiase has flown solo the last few months, because Skip Sheffield made it his mission to end the career of DiBiase's partner and friend "Dr. Death" Steve Williams. DiBiase has sworn vengeance on Sheffield. In fact, it was the fury of DiBiase that ultimately led to the downfall of William Regal, Sheffield's mentor. Now DiBiase wants Sheffield in a Stretcher Match...a match that cannot end until one man is taken away on a stretcher! Is DiBiase biting off more than he can chew? Or is this the end of Sheffield?
Anything Goes The Missing Link vs Kamala
Good and evil, right and wrong...these are not concepts that register with either one of these men. Each man is a mindless savage, directed only by the person capable of reaching them. The Dark Journey focuses Link's efforts against the rulebreakers of PWI, while Skandor Akbar and Friday fill Kamala's mind with poisonous thoughts. This will be no technical classic...but it will be brutal.
Ricky Steamboat vs Paul Roma
Steamboat joined the fight against Devastation Incorporated when Devasation Inc. forced Barry Windham's partner Dustin Rhodes to leave the company after a brutal assault. Steamboat teams primarily in tag team matches with Brad Armstrong, but will take on Akbar's pretty boy thug Paul Roma on this night.
Chris Harris vs James Storm
They started as partners and friends. They were hated, and then mostly ignored until they drew each other in the Fighting Spirit title tournament. Storm accidentally powerbombed Harris on top of his head, putting Harris on the shelf. When Harris returned in a wheel chair, Storm began to belittle him, treating him as a mascot, shoving him in the way of opponents and even pushing him out of his chair to use it as a weapon. Harris healed, and turned on Storm. When he finally got Storm in the ring, he won...but broke his leg in the process. Harris is back and healthy...and now he wants his revenge.
Shinsuke Nakamura vs Robert Roode
Nakamura came to PWI months ago, debuting against fellow newcomer Robert Roode in the Fighting Spirit title tournament. Nakamura was victorious, but Roode went out of his way to make sure Nakamura fell to James Storm in the finals. Nakamura and Chris Harris formed a partnership of convenience against Roode and Storm, and though their rivalry isn't quite as personal as Storm and Harris' is, it is no less intense.
Fatal Encounter vs Dick Slater & Buzz Sawyer
Slater and Sawyer are a pair of mercenary thugs, the last remnants of the Hard Liners. They used to answer to William Regal, until they were bought off by DiBiase and allowed Regal to be ran out of the company. They have been battling Sting and Jake Roberts lately (Sting and Jake feuded with the Hard Liners, and Sting had a brutal war with Buzz Sawyer at the beginning of the year), but the big story in this match may be Sting and Roberts. When Roberts came to PWI, he asked Sting to "trust me". Sting seemed reluctant...but when The Hard Liners went after both men, they joined forces, even taking on a team name. However, Roberts has been showing an aggressive streak that Sting seems to have a problem with. Will this explode in their faces, or can they get on the same page?
The Greatest American Bolo vs Michael Tarver
When Eddie Gilbert picked a fight with Romero Contreras, he put Regal's old crew back together as back-up. To even the odds, Romero got Bolo and his kendo stick to even the odds. Tarver and Bolo have had a few encounters before, though often in tag matches. This time, it will be one on one (plus Sensei).
All-Star War Games Romero Contreras, Terry Taylor, Chris Adams & Barry Windham vs Eddie Gilbert, Bad Bromance & Dean Malenko
This will be the first time Romero and Gilbert have been in the War Games together, as Gilbert claimed injury to stay out of the last War Games. All four PWI title holders will be present to take on their top challengers! The big factor in this match will be seeing who can work together the best. With Eddie Gilbert and Skandor Akbar on one side, that could be some bad news for the good guys. Plus, Romero cannot be 100% after having his face burnt to by Gilbert and then rushing back to defend the title against him. That said, Adams & Taylor did trounce Bad Bromance in the War Games just a week ago...this could mean good things for the good guys.

- Roode begging not to be DQ'ed was gold. - Eh, Tarver just isn't doing it for me in this circuit. - Protecting Roma? - Gilbert vs Steamboat could have been 5 stars back in the day. - Sting vs Sawyer this soon after their feud was a little weird but good stuff. - I really wish I knew if this was '80s NWA or in the 2000's. '80s NWA this is a greatly booked match that would develop in to a rematch. Good stuff. - Eh, I'm still hoping for Storm to finally get his push. - BAD BROMANCE~! - Paul Roma is a future heavyweight champion! - Way to keep the feud going. - Now that Hercules is gone I couldn't give a crap about Roma. - HOLY CRAP! Kamala beat Steamboat?!?!?! That was an odd booking decision. I don't hate it if Kamala had been booked stronger prior to this, but close to hating it since Kamala has been used as a face stepping stone. As long as Kamala is in the line to get a push it's okay. - It'll be awesome if Sheffield gets the bear hug over as a convincing finisher. - Malenko-Windham is really getting my attention. - LOVED Gilbert winning the title. I am a bigger fan of heels being champs. Not such a huge fan of it being treated like an after thought though. - So DiBiase vs Sheffield? Definitely looking forward to it. - HEELS MUST WIN THE TOSS! - Good war games. Liked the one previous more, but liked this one more than the first. Probably just because of the people involved. Good card. Can't wait for the next now that Gilbert is the champ. - But...but...Roma is a future heavyweight champion! - To be fair, it's not like I've booked Steamboat that strong, either. Which is probably a bigger annoyance...=) - I really like his backpack stunner, myself. I don't care for the name "Over the Shoulder Boulder Holder", but I've been too lazy to change it. - It wasn't an afterthought. It couldn't be the main event because of War Games. If I book a match for after intermission, it's almost always basically filler. So for it to happen on this card, Gilbert had to win in either the opening match or last match before intermission. He didn't have a huge celebration because if Romero wasn't out, and he wasn't, he probably would have killed Gilbert...=P

PRO WRESTLING IMMORTAL Strength in Numbers 13.3.1
The show opened with Skip Sheffield walking to the ring, holding a bloody pipe! Sheffield announces that his stretcher match tonight has been canceled, because Ted DiBiase got taken out of the parking lot, bleeding profusely, in an ambulance! The crowd booed! Sheffield said that's TWO careers he's ended now!
To the surprise of, well, everybody...Brad Armstrong made his way to the ring! Armstrong said that Ted DiBiase had one request before they took him away, and that was for someone to come out here and shut Sheffield's mouth when he tried to brag about it! Armstrong said everyone else's dance card was full...so here he is!
Sheffield went at Armstrong with the pipe, but Armstrong ducked it and dropkicked Sheffield to the mat! Armstrong kicked the pipe away and went after Armstrong, looking to send him out the same way he did DiBiase! Armstrong managed to hang tough...and the crowd was stunned for a moment (but cheered right after) when Armstrong pulled out DiBiase's loaded glove and clocked Sheffield!! He rolled the unconscious Sheffield onto the stretcher, and the refs took Sheffield away!
Stretcher No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Brad Armstrong defeated Skip Sheffield in 0:15:15. Rating: *** 1/4 (Ted DiBiase no-showed.)
General Skandor Akbar and Friday brought Kamala to the ring, while Dark Journey brought Missing Link to the entryway...and then told him to destroy Kamala!!
Link went crazy on Kamala, and this thing spilled outside quickly!! At one point, Friday tried to grab Dark Journey, but she kicked him between the legs! Link worked Kamala over with a chair, but Akbar stole the chair away and allowed Kamala to inflict his damage! Kamala split Link open and then chewed on his head, but Link fired back! After taking everything Kamala could offer, Link exploded with multiple headbutts, then hit the Flying Headbutt for the pin!
No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: The Missing Link pinned Kamala with the Flying Headbutt in 0:15:07. Rating: -** 3/4 [General Skandor Akbar interfered against The Missing Link.]
Link stood tall! Kamala rolled to the floor, and Akbar and Friday had to help him from the ring!
Akbar brought Paul Roma to the ring, and told him to end Ricky Steamboat's career! Roma went on the attack as soon as Steamboat got in the ring, but Steamboat reversed an irish whip...and it was basically over from there! Akbar tried to get involved...when Chris Harris came to the ring! Harris yanked Akbar off the apron, and this distracted Roma, who had just gave Steamboat a low blow and threw him over the top rope! However, Steamboat held on and went up top! When Roma turned away from Harris, Steamboat hit the Flying Cross Body Press for three!!
Rick Steamboat pinned Paul Roma with the Flying Cross Body Press in 0:05:00. Rating: ** 1/2 [Chris Harris interfered against Paul Roma.]
Akbar shook his head in disbelief at Roma losing in five minutes!
James Storm came to the ring next...and took on Chris Harris! These two partners went at it, with Storm taking an early advantage. Storm couldn't decide between attacking Harris' neck and his leg, knowing both were weak. Storm went for an irish whip, but Harris ducked around and speared Storm! Harris took control and got his licks in on Storm! Harris couldn't put Storm away, and the frustration grew! Late in the bout, Harris went for a powerbomb, and Storm slipped over the top! He went for the Last Call, but Harris ducked and scooped him up in the Catatonic! He spiked Storm for three!
Chris Harris pinned James Storm with the Catatonic in 0:15:54. Rating: **** 3/4
Harris soaked up the cheers as Storm tucked his tail between his legs and ran!
Robert Roode came to the ring next, with Shinsuke Nakamura not far behind!
If Roode was rattled about the last match, he didn't let it show...keeping his head about him and wearing down Nakamura. Nakamura kept going for submissions, but Roode had them scouted! Nakamura switched to strikes and Roode may have had a plan, but when that first kick landed alongside his head, it knocked him loopy! Nakamura pressed the attack, but Roode dodged a high knee in the corner, then ripped Nakamura down with the Northern Lariat! Nakamura fell to through the ropes, and failed to make it back in the ring!
Robert Roode defeated Shinsuke Nakamura by countout in 0:12:49. Rating: ** 1/2
Roode was very content with his countout over Nakamura!
Buzz Sawyer and Dick Slater came out next, waiting on Fatal Encounter! Sting and Jake Roberts looked laser focused as they stormed the ring!
Sting and Sawyer traded blows while Snake and Slater went at it! It did settle into a more traditional bout, with Roberts and Sawyer in the ring. Roberts took over fast and he and Sting traded in and out, but when Sting missed a Stinger Splash, Slater was all over it. They kept Sting grounded in their corner, working him over. Slater and Sawyer couldn't finish Sting off, and as he leapfrogged Sawyer, he rolled through and tagged Jake! Jake unloaded on Slater and Sawyer, wiping both out with kneelifts before catching Sawyer and spiking him on his head with the DDT!!
Fatal Encounter (Jake Roberts and Sting) defeated Buzz Sawyer and Dick Slater when J. Roberts pinned Sawyer with the DDT in 0:10:40. Rating: ***
Jake helped Sting into the ring and they shook hands, then hugged to the cheers of the crowd!
At intermission, it was announced that Skandor Akbar had requested that next week, Paul Roma get the opportunity to face Chris Harris due to Harris putting his hands on Akbar tonight! As well, Akbar was demanding a rematch between Kamala and The Missing Link, wanting this time to be a "fair fight". Two other matches were announced: Shinsuke Nakamura would challenge Dean Malenko for the Fighting Spirit title, while Romero Contreras would get his rematch against Eddie Gilbert!
Michael Tarver came out and was booed loudly...while Sensei Bolo and The Greatest American Bolo got cheers!
Tarver went at Bolo aggressively, but Bolo made him eat boot! Bolo got the upper hand with the Patriot Act and hit the American Revolution to put Tarver away!
The Greatest American Bolo pinned Michael Tarver with the American Revolution in 0:03:24. Rating: * 1/2
War Games time!! The champions made their way out, Skandor Akbar accompanying Eddie Gilbert, Bad Bromance and Dean Malenko!
Romero Contreras, Chris Adams, Terry Taylor and Barry Windham got cheered loudly as they hit the ring!
Heath Slater, being a glutton for punishment, once more entered the ring first! Chris Adams joined him and the two tag rivals went at it! Adams got the upper hand, manhandling Slater! However, Adams messed himself up when he went for a Superkick early and Slater managed to chopblock his support leg! As the five minutes wore down, Terry Taylor got in position, but Romero told Barry Windham to get there instead, while Zack Ryder mounted the steps for his team!
Romero met with Akbar and Gilbert...and Whooed when his team won the toss! Barry Windham stormed the ring and nearly took Slater's head off! Windham dominated Heath Slater and launched him into the cage, splitting his head wide open! Adams got up, and the two men took turns pinballing Slater!
Zack Ryder hit the ring and managed to turn it into more of a tag situation, and here is where the champions excelled! Bad Bromance are fluid in their movements, and they took Adams and Windham by surprise with their ferocity! Gilbert was shouting orders from the floor, and to those watching closely, it looked like it was actually Malenko feeding him strategy!
Taylor stormed the ring, but Bad Bromance cut him off! The champs looked great as they tried to control the situation...but the numbers game got way out of hand for them! Eddie Gilbert hit the ring and took out Windham's knee, and that's when it all became clear! Two weeks ago, Windham had busted out Malenko's leg, and he wanted the same thing done to Windham! Gilbert gleefully took Windham's leg apart while Bad Bromance held off Taylor and Adams!
Romero entered the cage and mowed through Slater en route to Gilbert!! He beat Eddie Gilbert from wall to wall!! Windham leaned against the cage kicked away at Zack Ryder! Taylor and Adams made Slater's face a very crimson mask!! Soon, Eddie was bleeding!!
Dean Malenko entered the cage and went right after Windham!! As he went for the Texas Cloverleaf, Romero broke it up! He picked Malenko up for the Kool-Aid Krunch, but Gilbert hit a low blow!! Gilbert tore into Romero's head, splitting him open...and then he spit in Romero's face!!
With Windham, Romero, Taylor, Gilbert and Slater all gushing blood, this was the bloodiest war yet!! Malenko kept trying to take the wheel out from under Windham, and it paid off when Slater locked on the figure four, and Malenko pulled on him for leverage, forcing Windham to submit!
War Games No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Bad Bromance (Heath Slater and Zack Ryder), Eddie Gilbert and Dean Malenko defeated Romero Contreras, Chris Adams, Terry Taylor and Barry Windham when H. Slater made B. Windham submit to a figure-four leglock in 0:25:10. Rating: *** 1/4
The crowd booed as Gilbert, Malenko and Bad Bromance prevailed!!
Card rating: ** 1/2

PRO WRESTLING IMMORTAL Hell for the Holidays 1.4.1
The show opened with Dick Slater heading to the ring, taking on a man he's come to know very well: Sting!
Sting just utterly dominated Slater! After a pair of Stinger Splashes, Slater tumbled through the ropes and was counted out.
Sting defeated Dick Slater by countout in 0:01:27. Rating: **
Sting looked a little annoyed at Slater bailing out on him so fast, but the crowd gives him a thunderous response for his victory!
General Skandor Akbar and Friday lead Kamala to the ring...Dark Journey accompanies The Missing Link! The rematch is on!
Link and Kamala collide at full force! They go back and forth with one another, with neither man leaving their feet! Link hits the ropes for a series of headbutts, but Friday trips him up!! Kamala crushes him with Air Africa! Link is stunned long enough for the three!
Kamala pinned The Missing Link with the Air Africa in 0:06:58. Rating: -* 1/2 [Friday interfered against The Missing Link.]
And the crowd went...mild!
Michael Tarver makes his way to the ring for another rematch from last week...while Sensei Bolo accompanies The Greatest American Bolo!
Tarver brutalizes Bolo at the opening bell, looking to avenge the pinfall loss from a week ago. He taunts Sensei as he beats on Bolo, but Bolo rallies back...unloading with punches, kicks and eye gouges!
Bolo pressed the attack on Tarver, but Tarver caught him with a brutal ax handle as he dived off the ropes! He went for Tarver's Lightning, but Sensei got overzealous and whacked Tarver with the kendo stick!
Michael Tarver defeated The Greatest American Bolo by disqualification in 0:08:26. Rating: 1/2* [Sensei Bolo interfered against Michael Tarver.]
The crowd booed at the announcement of the DQ! Tarver took a moment and shook it off, then acted like he was going to go after Sensei, but Bolo got the stick and Tarver thought better of it!
The crowd was electric as Romero Contreras came to the ring for his title match! Eddie Gilbert made his way out of the back, belt strapped around his waist!
Romero and Gilbert went right at it, with Gilbert tearing at Romero's face, while Romero just tried to do as much damage as he could to Gilbert! In fact, Romero wasn't even going for pinfalls, which was surprising.
That probably was a mistake, because when he had Gilbert REALLY on the ropes, suddenly two men ran into the ring!! The first hit a wicked spinning enzuigiri, while the second DDTed Romero!!
Romero Contreras and Eddie Gilbert battled to a no contest in 0:08:26. Rating: ** 1/4 (Eddie Gilbert retained the PWI Heavyweight Title.) [Brian Pillman and Owen Hart interfered against Romero Contreras.]
It took fans a second to realize what was happened...but Owen Hart and Brian Pillman were savagely beating down Romero Contreras! Gilbert got up and joined them, and the three smaller men beat the crap out of the larger one!!
Sting and Jake Roberts finally ran out to break it up, but Owen, Gilbert and Pillman slid out of the ring, Pillman pointing out Fatal Encounter with a maniacal look in his eyes!
Bad Bromance came to the ring, being booed loudly! Brad Armstrong and Ricky Steamboat headed to the ring, staring down a huge opportunity!
Armstrong and Steamboat are two gifted athletes, but Bad Bromance is taking tag team wrestling to a whole new level these days! The match was very evenly contested, and at one point Ryder had taken Brad Armstrong to the floor while Steamboat and Slater were going at it...with Ryder setting Armstrong up against the guardrails and grabbing the ring bell like he was going to injure him!
Sting and Jake Roberts, who are apparently the new sheriffs of PWI, came to the ring with Roberts standing between Armstrong and Ryder, while Sting jumped up on the apron and snatched the bell away!
This didn't change the match, though...as Slater, who had inflicted a large amount of damage to Steamboat's arm anyway, locked on an armbar submission and forced him to give up!
Bad Bromance (Zack Ryder and Heath Slater) defeated Brad Armstrong and Rick Steamboat when H. Slater made Steamboat submit to an armbar submission in 0:24:41. Rating: **** [Jake Roberts and Sting interfered against Zack Ryder.]
Bad Bromance had words with Fatal Encounter after the match!
Skip Sheffield made his way out of the back...while Ted DiBiase got a huge reaction as he came to the ring! DiBiase said a stretcher wouldn't be necessary tonight, because there wouldn't be enough left of Sheffield for one!
This was probably one of the most anticipated matches last week, but unfortunately it didn't happen! DiBiase took out his aggressions on Sheffield, trying to inflict as much damage as he could! Michael Tarver made his way to the ring, rallying his partner on. Of course, Tarver couldn't leave it at that, tripping up DiBiase at one point, and trying to give Sheffield time to recover on the floor at another. However, DiBiase hit a baseball slide that knocked Tarver into the guardrail and continued his attack on Sheffield!
Both DiBiase and Sheffield bled profusely, and Sheffield put his body on the line trying to stop DiBiase, even spearing him through a table propped up against the ringpost!! Sheffield kept watching for the Figure Four, and the one time DiBiase locked it on, DiBiase was so close to the ropes that Tarver hit a cheap shot! This set DiBiase up for the Over the Shoulder Boulder Holder and the three!
Skip Sheffield pinned Ted DiBiase with the Over the Shoulder Boulder Holder in 0:34:47. Rating: **** 1/4 [Michael Tarver interfered against Ted DiBiase.]
Tarver entered the ring and began pounding DiBiase!! Sheffield pulled himself to his feet and started to join in...when Cactus Jack stormed the ring!! Jack unloaded on both men and sent them running!! Then he helped DiBiase to his feet to the cheers of the crowd!
At intermission it was announced that next week, Cactus Jack would make his in-ring debut in PWI! Fatal Encounter will challenge Bad Bromance for the PWI Tag Team Titles! The Greatest American Bolo meets Michael Tarver in a rematch! Chris Adams and Terry Taylor will take on the new team of Owen Hart and Brian Pillman!
General Skandor Akbar led Paul Roma to the ring, lecturing him the whole way!
"Wildcat" Chris Harris came out to a nice pop, and Akbar glared at Harris as he entered the ring.
Harris looked tremendous against Roma, absorbing his offense and battling back. He never even got the Catatonic, instead hitting a powerslam and pinning Roma!
Chris Harris pinned Paul Roma after a powerslam in 0:06:03. Rating: *** 1/2
After the match, Akbar told Roma very simply: "You're fired, you pea-brained pretty boy!"
Roma threw up his arms and then dropped to his knees, begging Akbar to reconsider, but Akbar walked away!!
Shinsuke Nakamura came to the ring, getting a huge reaction! Akbar led Dean Malenko to the ring, and Malenko - icewater in his veins - stalked Nakamura!
Each man pulled out a few new tricks as this match got rolling, knowing that the other man had surely done his homework! Nakamura tried to keep Malenko at limb's length, while Malenko was looking for an opening to take Nakamura down.
Malenko made a very rare mistake when he rushed Nakamura too early, and that gave Nakamura a chance to ground Malenko on the mat and unload with knees!!
Nakamura hit the Landslide and set up in the corner...charging Malenko and locking on the Shining Triangle in center ring!!! Malenko used everything he had to try not to tap!!! Akbar began waving to the back...when James Storm and...Bad News Brown came out?!?! Kamala and Robert Roode were right behind them, with Friday directing Kamala to the ring! Nakamura never saw it coming as Storm hit the Last Call on the referee and Brown drove a knee into Nakamura's throat!!!
Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Dean Malenko by disqualification in 0:13:39. Rating: **** 1/4 (Dean Malenko retained the PWI Fighting Spirit Title.) [Bad News Brown and James Storm interfered against Shinsuke Nakamura.]
Akbar ranted from the floor, screaming directions as Storm, Roode, Brown, Kamala and a recovering Malenko beat the Hell out of Nakamura!!! Chris Harris ran to the ring, but Storm moved to the other side of the ring and Bad News Brown waited on him!! Brown assaulted Harris as he came through the ropes!!! Malenko locked the Texas Cloverleaf on Nakamura and wrenched back!! As Brown beat Harris down, Storm then joined in!!
Akbar entered the ring with the microphone and barely dodged a cup thrown from the crowd as he announced that the dead weight had been cut...and this was Dean Malenko, Kamala, James Storm, Robert Roode and Bad News Brown...the NEW Devastation Incorporated!
Card rating: *** 1/2

PRO WRESTLING IMMORTAL Hell for the Holidays 2.4.1
The show began with Paul Roma, now a free agent, heading to the ring. The crowd cheered as Barry Windham came out to face him!
Roma attacked Windham aggressively...but Barry took the beating and retaliated! He wiped out Roma with a lariat, and set him up for the Superplex!
Barry Windham pinned Paul Roma with the Superplex in 0:04:30. Rating: ***
As Windham celebrated, Bad News Brown and General Skandor Akbar came to the ring! Brown entered the ring attacked Windham!! Roma got the heck out of dodge as Brown attacked! Windham fired back, staggering Brown...Akbar told Windham to man up and face Brown in a fair fight! Windham agreed! The referee reluctantly called for the bell!
Windham hadn't sustained much damage against Roma, and he was all over Brown! He blasted Brown with a lariat, but Brown just knuckled down and did some damage with a full assault! Akbar didn't even get involved, watching as Brown exploited weaknesses on Windham and wore him down! Windham rallied back and set Brown up for the Superplex...but Brown countered with a modified STO off the top rope! Windham was too stunned to kick out!
Bad News Brown defeated Barry Windham via pinfall in 0:12:30. Rating: ** 3/4
Michael Tarver made his way to the ring, with Skip Sheffield accompanying him.
Sensei Bolo led the Greatest American Bolo to the ring!
Sensei and Sheffield both got involved more than once, and the bout (which was about as long as both of Windham's, combined) was not a heated one in the fan's eyes. In the end, with Sheffield threatening Sensei to cause a distraction, Tarver capitalized with Tarver's Lightning and the win.
Michael Tarver pinned The Greatest American Bolo with the Tarver's Lightning in 0:16:37. Rating: * 1/4 [Skip Sheffield interfered against The Greatest American Bolo.] [Sensei Bolo interfered against Michael Tarver.]
Owen Hart and Brian Pillman came to the ring, getting booed by the fans! They seemed to revel in it, with Pillman in particular laughing it up.
Brad Armstrong and Terry Taylor came to the ring to welcome Owen and Pillman to PWI!
Though Armstrong and Taylor are a makeshift team, they each did their part to keep Hart and Pillman off balance! Owen took to some amazing moves, while Pillman was just more savage in his attack.
The end came when Owen planted a foot in Taylor's stomach, then spun with a kick planting the heel of his foot at the back of Taylor's head, a move he calls the Heel Turn! This knocked Taylor loopy long enough for the pin!
Wings (Brian Pillman and Owen Hart) defeated Brad Armstrong and Terry Taylor when O. Hart pinned B. Armstrong with the Heel Turn in 0:16:01. Terry Taylor suffered a back injury. He will be out for approximately 1 card. Rating: ** 3/4 (Chris Adams no-showed.)
Pillman and Hart celebrated their win, to the dismay of the fans!
Dick Slater hit the ring, looking for a fight...and Cactus Jack appeared eager to give him one!
These two men unloaded on each other with one brutal brawl! Jack and Slater went back and forth, and the referee got awful lenient on what he allowed, such as Jack's diving elbow on the floor!
Slater rammed Jack into the ringpost and beat on him, but Jack can take a beating...and he spiked Slater with the Double Arm DDT for the win!
Cactus Jack pinned Dick Slater with the Double Arm DDT in 0:19:21. Rating: ** 3/4
Skip Sheffield got booed as he headed to the ring...while Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat got a loud ovation!
Sheffield dominated Steamboat with his amazing power, but the Dragon unleashed ferocity on Sheffield! Despite Sheffield's best efforts, Steamboat dazzled him, hitting him with the Flying Cross Body Press for the victory!
Rick Steamboat pinned Skip Sheffield with the Flying Cross Body Press in 0:12:40. Rating: *** 1/4
At intermission, it was announced that next week would see Brad Armstrong and Ricky Steamboat versus Brian Pillman and Owen Hart, plus Shinsuke Nakamura would challenge Eddie Gilbert for the PWI Heavyweight title!!
Fatal Encounter got a huge pop as they made their way to the ring...while Bad Bromance came out to loud boos!
Ryder and Slater, though they may only have a single brain between them, seem to move as one. Sting and Jake, though not showing the same signs of dissension they had a few weeks ago, did not move as fluidly. Ryder and Slater focused as much as they could on Sting's neck, while keeping as close to the ropes as possible in order to bail out when things got hairy.
This match was just an amazing bout of skill...with Ryder and Slater looking awesome. Sting and Jake rallied back, and Jake even got a nearfall after a DDT on Slater, but Ryder yanked him out of the ring.
In the end, Sting absorbed a spike piledriver, the Zack Attack (twice), the Bad Bromance and a big jumping neckbreaker by Slater, weakening his neck to the point that Ryder was able to force a submission off of a neck crank!
Bad Bromance (Zack Ryder and Heath Slater) defeated Fatal Encounter (Jake Roberts and Sting) when Z. Ryder made Sting submit to a neck crank in 0:39:42. Rating: ***** (Bad Bromance retained the PWI Tag Team Titles.)
Small segments of the crowd, as much as they hated to admit it, really respected the performance by Ryder and Slater!
Main event time! As if Beer Money wasn't bad enough, seeing them with General Skandor Akbar makes it worse! Robert Roode and James Storm hit the ring raring to go...against Chris Harris and Shinsuke Nakamura!
This match was every bit as good as the classic before it, fueled by the hatred shared by these four men!
Harris looked for another pinfall over Storm, while Nakamura was just content to get his licks in where he could! Nakamura came close to beating Storm and Roode at various points, but he took a nasty tumble to the floor when Akbar pulled the top rope down!
Harris was left fighting solo for a few minutes...when Bad News Brown came to the ring! Brown stalked the hurt Nakamura and Harris tried to save his partner! Beer Money distracted the referee as Brown attacked Harris on the floor, ramming him into the ringpost!
Sending Harris back in, he was easy prey for the DWI and a victory by Beer Money!
Beer Money, Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) defeated Chris Harris and Shinsuke Nakamura when J. Storm pinned C. Harris after the DWI in 0:23:26. Rating: ***** [General Skandor Akbar interfered against Shinsuke Nakamura.] [Bad News Brown interfered against Chris Harris.]
For the second week in a row, Devastation Incorporated stood tall!
Card rating: *** 3/4

Man, there needs to be a rule that you can only post one card every 2 days. - Umm....I know DiBiase no-showed, but did he quit as well? - Not a huge fan of Armstrong going over Sheffield. Sheffield ending careers definitely has potential. - Would have preferred Kamala going over, but no big deal. - Nice use of the stupid interference TNM gave you. - Harris going over Storm was good, I just wish it had the proper build. I really think they could have main evented the show had the injury not happened. - That is about the most convincing countout win I've ever seen. Kind of surprised you put Roode over Nakumura that strong. - Fatal Encounter are future tag champs. - I really don't like Tarver in your fed. Not sure why. - There really should be an easter egg in TNM that a heel must always win the coin toss. It isn't any fun seeing two faces beat up a heel. - Loved the blood. Good stuff. I would probably have this be the last War Games for awhile, but still enjoyed the card.

- Wow, Slater sucks. - Kamala going over after the feud is already over? Odd. - Stupid Sensei. - Hart and Pillman? WINGS? - I love those two guys, but they seem like a weird pairing with Gilbert. That makes me like it even more. - Liked your little comment about the sherrifs of PWI. Stupid TNM. And Steamboat would never submit to an armbar. - Stop stealing my WCW 92 roster!! - Roma got fired! YES! Is he really gone? - Wow, you went on a hiring spree. - The new hires are interesting, but they sure did come out of nowhere.

- So Roma didn't quit? - Poor Windham. Rehire Rhodes! - Bolo shouldn't be losing to Tarver. - I almost forgot Adams and Taylor are part of your roster. I think they may be close to being let go. - Jack vs Slater deserved a higher rating. - Steamboat going over is good. Is he back to singles action? - LOVED how much punishment you gave Sting before he submitted. Without that I would have been complaining. - Oh, and five stars? Nice. What the hell is the work rate for Slater and Ryder? There is no way they should be pulling off as many five star matches as they have been. - Good win for Beer Money. Your tag division is really strong right now.

- Roma was fired from Devastation Inc. and not from the roster. And he sulked about it, so it means jobberdom and not face turn.
- I believe I had a plan for every new hire I came up with this cycle.
- And yeah, that's the end of the War Games for a while.

I just want to comment that I really like your writing style. Simple and straightforward, a breeze to read. After writing up my Week 19 (which seemed more like a chore) I'm moving towards a much less detail-oriented write up much like yours.

- It's going to take me awhile to get back into some of the roster. But I remember loving Romero! - I'm glad Harris got the win here. Hopefully his push continues. - Windham vs. Kamala next week is a dream match for me. - Love the DiBiase-Malenko match. What followed was a tag team clinic, with the experience of Taylor and Adams being countered by having to face two of the most gifted tag team wrestlers in Pro Wrestling Immortal!
Akbar was ALL OVER this match, but every time Taylor or Adams was down, the other would make the save! As time began wearing down, each time got more and more desperate, because they knew this match would be very important to their futures...and the frustration was obvious from all four men when time ran out!

Asshole. I say that Windham and Kamala is a dream match for me and there you go and ruin it with a quick job! BOO!!!!!
I like Bad News, but Harris has become a favorite of mine here. Not so much in the real world.
Pillman versus Sting should be a classic.
I still haven't looked up any Youtube clips of Nakamura. Shame on me.
How much further do you have until your next season of cards?

7...I book in 13 card cycles.
The awesome part is that TNM now shuts down whenever I try to run a new card, so it may be completely jacked.
Oddly enough, I like Harris more here than I do in the real world, too.
