Results of WCW Nitro 9/4/95:
Brian Pillman pinned Jushin Thunder Liger after a top-rope DDT in 0:12:43. Rating: *** 1/2
The first match on the first edition of WCW Monday Nitro featured Jushin Thunder Liger taking on Brian Pillman. Both of these men had a storied feud for the WCW Lightheavyweight Title back in 1992 and they had a back and forth match tonight on Nitro. The end came when Pillman caught Liger on the top rope and brought him down with a vicious DDT, driving Liger right down onto his head for the pin.
We cut to the backstage area, where Hulk Hogan and Vader are in the midst of a heated argument. Hogan is questioning Vader's loyalty, given that Vader just signed an open contract for the WCW World Title tonight against Hogan. They're supposed to be on the same side, to fight the Dungeon of Doom. Vader says that Hogan doesn't get it, as long as he has that belt, no one is on his side and Vader will be the champion once again. Randy Savage and Sting move around to try and calm their fellow teammates at War Games down but Vader says its time for the world to be reminded what exactly Vader could do.
A look at Sabu, who will be be a huge part of Nitro within the next several weeks.
Sting made Ric Flair submit to the Scorpion Deathlock in 0:12:50. Rating: *** 1/4 (Sting retained the WCW United States Title.)
Sting and Flair have an even more storied history than Pillman and Liger and tonight they do battle for the WCW United States Title tonight on Nitro. Several nearfalls with back and forth action. Arn Anderson steps back to watch, causing Flair to be distracted by his former friend. Sting put Flair in the Scorpion Deathlock and made him submit, drawing cheers from the fans.
Scott Norton comes out, demanding some competition and shoves around the announcers, nearly getting into a brawl with Steve "Mongo" McMichael but Randy Savage comes out to do battle with Norton, backing off off. Savage tells Norton that his competition is right here.
This weekend, WCW Saturday Night, 6:05 PM Eastern, only one hour due to Atlanta Braves Baseball. See Harlem Heat square off against the Nasty Boys, Alex Wright go one on one with Diamond Dallas Page, and the WCW Television Champion the Renegade go one on one with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson in a return match form the Great American Bash this past June. WCW Saturday Night, 6:05 PM Eastern, on TBS.
Vader pinned Hulk Hogan after a splash in 0:11:04. Rating: * 1/2 (Vader won the WCW World Title.) [The Zodiac interfered against Vader.] [Kevin Sullivan and Meng interfered against Hulk Hogan.]
The fourteenth month reign of Hulkamania has been toppled tonight at WCW Monday Nitro, with Hulk Hogan and Vader squaring off for the WCW World Title and for the fourth time, the monster from the Rocky Mountains beating Hogan. The referee gets bumped and the Dungeon of Doom rush into the ring. Hogan and Vader fight them off, working side by side, but Meng waffles Hogan right in the throat with his golden spike. Vader takes Meng out and splashes Hogan for the pin.
We see after the last commercial break, Vader and Hogan getting into a scuffle, as the entire lockerroom empties. We see Kevin Sullivan laughing on the ramp like a calculating mad man and he cuts a promo, talking about how this was merely phase one of his master plan. Soon, he'll take everything Hogan has dear. Hogan calls Vader a thief and Vader grabs Hogan by the throat, backing him off in the corner. Hogan fights back, as the two men, who will be in the War Games Match, with Randy Savage and Sting, against the members of the Dungeon of Doom, are fighting. Vader leaves the ring, draping the belt over his massive shoulder and Hogan continues to shout about how Vader stole his belt. The terror from the Rocky Mountains is back on top of the mountain at World Championship Wrestling. If this is only the first Nitro and something like this happened, what's going to happen each and every Monday night.
Card rating: **
Match observations:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The basic idea for this is what if Vader had never had that lockerroom fight with Paul Orndorff and stayed in WCW and Lex Luger had never shown up on the first Nitro. So, that's the first card, of hopefully many. Some UCW still to come later this week and NAWA in the not so distant future.

Was Hogan really champion for fourteen months? Yeesh...no wonder I barely remember WCW around then. Yes, and there was a period where he didn't defend the title for something like four or five months as well. I remember PWI or Inside Wrestling or one of those magazines making a big stink about it. WCW {Pro} Wrestling 9/9/95(Taped 9/6/95)This morning on {Pro}: See Mr Wonderful in action. The marine Cobra will be featured in one on one action. The Dungeon of Doom will be in tag team competition. "Das Wunderkid" Alex Wright will be in action and let's not forget in the main event, the former eleven time champion Ric Flair does battle with "White Lightning" Tim Horner. Hosts: Chris Cruise, Larry Zybyzko, and "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. Paul Orndorff pinned Steve Armstrong with the Piledriver in 0:05:59. Rating: ** 3/4After a recap of the events of the first ever WCW Monday Nitro, we see Paul Orndorff or as he's now called, Mr. Wonderful, square off against Steve Armstrong in our opening contest on {Pro}. Steve Armstrong gave it his usual tough fight but in the end, Orndorff hit the Piledriver for the pin. Cobra defeated Julio Sanchez when Julio Sanchez passed out in a cobra clutch in 0:02:58. Rating: ** 1/4Cobra put out Julio Sanchez tonight, as he prepares for his match with Craig Pittman as part of Fall Brawl 1995. Cobra proves that he's just as vicious as Pittman, putting Sanchez out with the cobra clutch. Cobra is ready to gain a measure of revenge over his former drill instructor Pittman, for abandoning him in Vietnam. The Dungeon of Doom (Kamala and The Zodiac) defeated Mike Khorey and Larry Santo when Zodiac pinned Santo with the Knee Smash in 0:04:57. Rating: -1/2*Two members of the Dungeon of Doom were in action, as they prepared for their match at War Games. Kamala and Zodiac will be joined by the Shark and Meng against Hogan, Vader, Sting, and Savage at Fall Brawl 1995. Alex Wright pinned Butch Long with the German Suplex in 0:05:56. Rating: * 3/4Alex Wright took out Butch Long with the German Suplex for the pin, as Wright will take on Diamond Dallas Page tonight on WCW Saturday Night. We hope you enjoyed the action so far on {Pro} while there is still more to come, you should tune in next week for a rough and tumble battle, when Big Bubba Rogers takes on "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. Plus all the late breaking Fall Brawl news and much more. Ric Flair made Tim Horner submit to the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:06:30. Rating: * 3/4Tonight, Ric Flair squares off against Tim Horner. Horner got a few close nearfalls on Flair, but Flair takes him out, putting the Figure Four Leglock on Horner, making him submit with the move. Flair and Anderson meet at Fall Brawl. Our final wrap up by the announcers, who encourage us to tune into WCW Saturday Night, where the Renegade defends the WCW Television Title against Arn Anderson, on the Main Event this Sunday where we will see the debut of the American Males, and this Monday on Nitro where the monstrous Scott Norton takes on Randy Savage and Sting puts the United States Title on the line against Meng in a preview for War Games.

Sounds about right for Hogan. Title defenses were few and far between for him in the WWF. Same thing with Randy Savage. Savage was champion for a full year, and the only PPV defense he had was at WM5 when he lost it. He had two other televised defenses that I know of (OMG and Andre) on SNME and that was about it.

I remember even way back then having more respect for Flair than Hogan because I would read the arena results and see how much heavier Flair's schedule was than Hogan's. Eesh.
I do definitely like Vader sticking around (and taking the belt off of Hogan).

[Now its time for everyone's favorite weekend wrestling program that's a week behind from reality. I never did get Worldwide until about 1999 and by that time, it was all recaps of Nitro, with a couple of exclusive matches with something like the Villanos against the Armstrong Brothers. I did get WCW Prime however, which was like Worldwide, only with a couple different matches, and Dusty Rhodes mooing like a cow before the main event for the Prime Cut Moo Match of the Week. Good times. There were times where I actually liked the weekend shows far more than Nitro and RAW]
WCW Worldwide for the Weekend of 9/9/95(Taped 9/7/95)
We are at Disney and we see our hosts, Tony Schiavone and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Tony talks about how we're going to see one of the biggest matches in the entire history of WCW Worldwide, when the Renegade puts his WCW Television Title on the line against "The Uganda Warrior" Kamala on this program. They talk about the first Nitro and there will be more news on that next week. Heenan also talks about Fall Brawl and how it's going to be the beginning of the end of Hulkamania. Right now let's get to the ring for some action on Worldwide.
Cobra made Chris Kanyon submit to a cobra clutch in 0:04:30. Rating: **
Cobra showed an impressive victory over Chris Kanyon, as he gears up for his match against Craig Pittman as part of WCW Fall Brawl.
The Studd Stable (Bunkhouse Buck and Dick Slater) defeated Joey Maggs and Barry Houston when Slater pinned Houston with the Piledriver in 0:03:17. Rating: 1/2*
The WCW World Tag Team Champions brutalized Houston and Maggs tonight, with Slater putting Houston down with a huge Piledriver, scrambling his bell cells. Harlem Heat better be watching for the Studd Stable.
Recap of Hulk Hogan entering the Dungeon of the Doom back at the Clash of the Champions in August and being choked by the man claiming to be the son of Andre the Giant. Hulk Hogan was saved by Savage, Sting, and the surprise of Vader. At Fall Brawl, the war paint will be on, when Hulk Hogan teams up with Sting, Savage, and Vader to take on The Zodiac, Kamala, The Shark, and Meng of the Dungeon of Doom in the ultimate battleground, War Games. Two rings, a double steel cage, surrender or submit.
Craig Pittman made The Italian Stallion submit to the Code Red in 0:04:01. Rating: * 1/4
Craig Pittman just like Cobra did earlier, proved his tremendous submission skills, making Stallion submit to the Code Red.
Harlem Heat (Stevie Ray and Booker T) defeated Todd Morton and Dusty Wolfe when Booker pinned T. Morton with the Scissor Kick in 0:04:18. Rating: 1/2*
Harlem Heat with their victory sent a message to Studd Stable against Todd Morton and Dusty Wolfe tonight, with Morton eating a nasty Scissors Kick right to the back of his head.
We cut to the Dungeon of Doom, where the Master is bellowing out orders to the Taskmaster, who says that he will bring him the heads of Hulk Hogan, Sting, Vader, and the Macho Man. It will be the end of Hulkamania.
The Renegade defeated Kamala by disqualification in 0:08:16. Rating: -*** 1/4 (The Renegade retained the WCW Television Title.) [Meng interfered against The Renegade.]
The Renegade had quite the uphill battle tonight on Worldwide, as he put his WCW Television Title on the line against Kamala. Kamala and the Renegade had a match that was not for the weak at heart. Meng interfered at the end, taking the Renegade out, as he was about ready to finish Kamala off. Kamala and Meng beat down the Renegade after the match but Sting made the save, helping the Renegade fight off the Dungeon of Doom members. Sting is going to be in that War Games and he saved the Renegade from a brutal beating.
Next Week on WCW Worldwide: "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Johnny B. Badd, the American Males, and Sting puts the WCW United States Title on the line in the main event against the Shark.

[Yeah the schedule is insane but it wouldn't feel right to do a mid 1990s WCW show. Plus Worldwide/Pro/Prime are all done in block tapings once a month, so that should ease things up. And don't forget the Main Event, but that's not really that big of a deal.]
WCW Saturday Night 9/9/95(Taped: 9/5/95)
Recap of Vader winning the WCW World Title from Hulk Hogan on Nitro.
Tony Schiavone and "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes are your hosts this week for this special one hour edition of WCW Saturday Night. Our usual color commentator Bobby "The Brain" Heenan has left this program due to focusing on his commitments on Nitro, but the Dream is here, to guide the mothership, WCW Saturday Night.
Diamond Dallas Page pinned Alex Wright with the Diamond Cutter in 0:06:34. Rating: ** 1/2
Diamond Dallas Page and Alex Wright had the first match tonight on WCW Saturday Night going back and forth for several minutes, until DDP connected with the Diamond Cutter to score the pin.
DDP cuts a promo, talking about how he's going to beat the Renegade for the WCW Television Title at Fall Brawl. DDP says that its nothing but to the top for him. The Diamond Doll and Maxx Muscle stand in the background for this promo.
Scott Norton pinned The Italian Stallion after a shoulderbreaker in 0:01:54. Rating: DUD
A commanding performance from Scott Norton on his WCW Saturday Night debut, destroying the Italion Stallion in less than two minutes. Norton is going to face off against Randy Savage on Nitro, which should be a huge test.
[WCW Saturday Night 9/9/95]: Craig Pittman made Scott Armstrong submit to the Code Red in 0:05:42. Rating: * 3/4
The Armstrongs have not been having the best of luck in recent times and this did not change tonight, when Scott Armstrong met the deadly drill instruction, Craig Pittman, who made him submit to the Code Red. Wisely, Armstrong submitted within seconds, to avoid permanent injury to his arm. Pittman and Cobra at Fall Brawl: Featuring War Games.
Mean Gene Okerlund is backstage to hype up Fall Brawl. The Hulkamaniacs of Vader, Hulk Hogan, Sting, and Randy Savage take on the Dungeon of Doom, of Kamala, Zodiac, The Shark, and Meng. As you saw last Monday on Nitro, Vader became the brand new WCW World Champion through some questionable means and there was a rift in between the Hulkamaniacs. Also, Arn Anderson meets Ric Flair, when former friends collide. The WCW Television Championship is on the line when The Renegade defends against Diamond Dallas Page. Johnny B. Badd and Brian Pillman square off in a number one contenders match for Sting's United States Championship. Plus, Cobra meets Sgt. Craig Pittman and The Studd Stable puts the WCW Tag Team Titles on the line against Harlem Heat. All that and more, in six days. Its Fall Brawl, featuring War Games.
Coming up next, Harlem Heat against the Nasty Boys. More WCW Saturday Night after this.
Harlem Heat (Stevie Ray and Booker T) defeated The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags) when S. Ray pinned Knobbs after a small package in 0:10:31. Rating: -3/4*
The Studd Stable came out for this match, where the Nasty Boys had the match won but Sister Sherri interfered, allowing Harlem Heat to get the win.
Harlem Heat cut a promo backstage, vowing to become WCW Tag Team Champions for a third time at Fall Brawl. Sister Sherrri says while her boys get their hands on Buck and Slater, she's going to get her hands all over Colonel Robert Parker, but Mean Gene quickly pulls the microphone away, saying this is a family show.
Recap of the events of the first ever WCW Monday Nitro. This Monday, Scott Norton faces off against Randy Savage. War Games Preview, as Sting puts the United States Championship on the line against Meng. Johnny B Badd and Brian Pillman will team up before they compete against each other at Fall Brawl to take on The Blue Bloods and so more more on Nitro, the only show on Modnay Nights that matters.
Arn Anderson defeated The Renegade by disqualification in 0:07:05. Rating: * 1/4 (The Renegade retained the WCW Television Title.)
This was your main event on TBS this week, with the Renegade and Arn Anderson meeting for the WCW Television Title. Arn Anderson used every dirty trick in the book to keep the inexperienced Renegade off balance but the Renegade fought back. Anderson took out the Renegade and was about to pin him, but out comes Ric Flair, who throws the referee to the floor, disqualifying Anderson and thus the Renegade remains WCW Television Champion. Flair chops away at Anderson but Anderson fires back, as both men brawl around the arena. The Renegade keeps the Television Title but he has a huge match against Diamond Dallas Page who seems determined to prove himself.

If I recall correctly, Arn Anderson was getting sick and tired of playing second fiddle with Ric Flair after all of these years and doing Flair's dirty work. This all boiled over at a handicap match at the August Clash of the Champions with Vader against Anderson and Flair. As it turned out, the partnership finally broke down with Vader getting the wind. Of course, this all eventually lead to the Horsemen reforming with Anderson, Pillman, Flair, and Benoit, with Flair turning on Sting yet again after Sting agreed to be his partner(you'd think Sting would learn by now). Where it's going to go from here in this circuit, well you're just going to have to wait and see.

WCW Main Event 9/10/95 (Exclusive Taped 9/5/95)
We show clips of the end of the first Nitro, with Vader becoming the first WCW World Champion and the chaotic aftermath.
Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and Mean Gene Okerlund are at the Main Event Newsdesk, with Bobby Heenan looking pleased, saying that last Monday, Hulk Hogan was finally dethroned. Heenan predicts that its the last we'll ever see of Hulk Hogan as WCW World Champion and Gene degrees. Heenan pops open a bottle of champange in celebration of Hogan's loss. Gene tells Bobby that he shouldn't count the Hulkster out. Speaking of people who we shouldn't count it out, let's take you back to last morning on the {Pro} where Steve Armstrong tried to reverse the fortunes of the Armstrong Family against Mr. Wonderful. Let's see what happened.
Courtesy of {Pro} from 9/9/95 we see the closing moments of Steve Armstrong against Mr. Wonderful, where Orndorff pins Armstrong with the Piledriver.
Heenan talks about how Gary Spivey has done wonders for Mr. Wonderful's career recently but he wouldn't quite trust Spivey with his credit card information. Okerlund quips that makes Heenan and Spivey peas in a pod.
After a commercial break, Okerlund and Heenan kick it to this past weekend on WCW Worldwide, where the Renegade had a tough WCW Television Title defense against Kamala. The Dungeon of Doom run in and Sting makes the save for his fellow face painted competitor.
Talk about the WCW Tag Team Title Match between the Studd Stable and Harlem Heat at Fall Brawl, which cuts us into last night's WCW Saturday Night, where two old rival teams, Harlem Heat and the Nasty Boys square off against each other. Sister Sherri gets involved and the Studd Stable watch this match, The Heat wins.
Okerlund talks about how tag team wrestling has been hotter than never before and one of the greatest tag team wrestlers to come down the pike in a long time is in fact Marcus Alexander Bagwell. Bagwell is a former three time WCW Tag Team Champion but he has a new partner, a newcomer by the name of Scotty Riggs and they are the American Males. Heenan asks if they work for the postal service but Okerlund tells him to knock it off. Let's go to the WCW Saturday Night arena, where Eric Bischoff and Dusty Rhodes are calling the action, with the American Males against the Barrio Brothers, our exclusive match this week on the Main Event.
The American Males (Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs) defeated The Barrio Brothers (Ricky Santana and Fidel Sierra) when Bagwell pinned F. Sierra after a fisherman suplex in 0:08:23. Rating: *
A new tag team in WCW, the American Males made their debut on WCW Main Event this week, in our exclusive match, against the rough and tumble Barrio Brothers. The Barrio Brothers battered the American Males but the Males fought back, until Bagwell hits a fisherman suplex on Fidel Sierra for the pin.
Final hype for Nitro. Sting will put the WCW United States Title on the line against Meng. Also, Scott Norton and Randy Savage. The Blue Bloods meet Johnny B. Badd and Brian Pillman and in a return match from WCW Saturday Night, Alex Wright meets Diamond Dallas Page. Heenan and Okerlund sign off and we'll see you on Nitro. So long everyone on the Main Event.

Results of WCW Nitro 9/11/95:
The Blue Bloods (Lord Steven Regal and Earl Robert Eaton) defeated Johnny B. Badd and Brian Pillman when Eaton pinned Badd after a roll up in 0:09:14. Rating: ** 1/4
Tonight after the hype for the big matches tonight, we see two men who will be opponents this Sunday, Johnny B Badd and Brian Pillman team up to take on the Blue Bloods. Badd and Pillman work well, that is until Badd inadvertantly punched Pillman in the face, allowing The Earl of Eaton to roll him up for the pin. Afterwards, Badd and Pillman have a tense moment in the ring.
V.K. Wallstreet is coming to WCW and Wallstreet says that he's going to prove that he's not only the richest man in wrestling, but also one of the top technical wrestlers in the world. He's going to cause the stock of his opponents in WCW to plummet.
A brief recap from last Monday where Randy Savage and Scott Norton had some words and got in a scuffle. Tonight, they meet, one on one on Nitro.
Randy Savage pinned Scott Norton with the Flying Elbowdrop in 0:10:11. Rating: 1/2*
Norton and Savage had a match, that was mostly Norton using his power to bully Savage. Savage might be looking towards War Games this Sunday instead of focusing on Norton but Norton missed a splash in the corner, allowing Savage to slam him down and hit the Flying Elbowdrop for the pin.
We cut to a video package, taking a look at Eddy Guerrero, who will be making his debut this Sunday on the Main Event prior to Fall Brawl. We see Guerrero who has competed all over the world but now he's Where the Big Boys play, in World Championship Wrestling.
Diamond Dallas Page pinned Alex Wright with the Diamond Cutter in 0:07:35. Rating: **
This is a return match from last Saturday and it was pretty much the same thing, with Diamond Dallas Page beating Alex Wright with the Diamond Cutter. This weekend at Fall Brawl, Page has a huge chance to win his first singles championship in WCW, against the Renegade, and with Maxx Muscle and the Diamond Doll behind him, it should be smooth sailing for DDP.
Tune into WCW Saturday Night, 6:05 PM Eastern. In action, we'll see Meng take on Evad Sullivan. Will the United States Title be on the line? We'll find out after tonight. Plus Johnny B. Badd meets Big Bubba Rogers and in the main event, "The Macho Man" Randy Savage does battle with "The Ugandan Warrior" Kamala. 6:05 PM Eastern, the hottest wrestling show on the weekends for over 25 years on TBS, WCW Saturday Night.
Sting pinned Meng after a flying sunset flip in 0:10:26. Rating: 1/2* (Sting retained the WCW United States Title.)
The announcers put over Sting as a fighting champion, always having an open contract for any challenger and tonight he has a big one, against Meng of the Dungeon of Doom. Meng beats Sting down to the canvas, locking on an abdominal stretch and a nerve pinch, but Sting fights out and manages to sunset flip Meng off the top rope for the pin.
And in comes the Dungeon of Doom. Sting fights off the Zodiac, but Kamala and the Shark are just too much. In comes Randy Savage but Savage gets cut off. In comes the WCW World Champion Vader, who begins taking down the members of the Dungeon of Doom left and right, but once Vader has basically sent the Dungeon of Doom making, Hulk Hogan comes in, hitting the Zodiac with a couple of punches and posing in the ring to cheers from some of the fans and utter disgust from Vader.
We are back and now Vader and Hogan are face to face once again. Vader brings up the fact that Hogan never has been able to pin his shoulders to the mat. At Superbrawl V, the best Hogan could do was beat Vader by disqualification. Then at Uncensored he beat Vader by dragging a man not even in the match around the ring in a strap match. Then at Bash at the Beach 1995, Hogan beat Vader but he did it by escaping the cage. Vader says that Hogan should just get rid of the red, because yellow fits him perfectly, which causes Hogan to get in Vader's face. Vader says that Hogan doesn't want a fight. Vader talks about how he's left a trail of broken and battered bodies. He caved in Cactus Jack's skull and ripped his ear off. He sent Davey Boy Smith packing to the circus up North. He is the reason why Big Bubba has multiple personality disorder. Vader tells Hogan to ask Sting what he's capable of because Sting knows better than anyone how dangerous Vader is. Sting holds Hogan back.
Sting steps forward, saying that they need to focus on the Dungeon of Doom. Vader says he agrees, but there won't be a man breathing who can stop Vader from turning around and flattening Hogan, Sting, and Savage, right after he gets done dismantling the Dungeon of Doom. Savage seems ready to jump on Vader but Sting holds him back as well. We see The Taskmaster on the top of the stage and standing right beside him is the man only known as the Giant, the man who claims to be the son of Andre the Giant. Vader says if Hogan tries anything funny, he better be ready to go to a war on two fronts and Vader takes his belt, leaving. Hogan looks at Vader with a combination of anger and doubt. Vader brought up a good point. Hogan's never pinned him to the canvas.

Kurasawa pinned Johnny Swinger with the Kurasawa Krunch in 0:05:31. Rating: *** 1/4
The dominating Kurasawa fought off against Johnny Swinger. He snaps the arm of Swinger with the Kurasawa Krunch, with a loud crunch. Swinger's arm might have been broken, just as Kurasawa has broken Hawk's arm recently.
Enjoying the action on {Pro}? Well the fun has just begun, as we have more great action next week, when the Nasty Boys meet Maxx Muscle and Diamond Dallas Page in tag team action.
Jim Duggan pinned Big Bubba Rogers after a roll up in 0:07:06. Rating: -1/4*

An impressive back and forth match, with both men giving it their all. Brian Pillman is out to watch this match and Flair is distracted by his presence. Pillman and Anderson exchange nods, as Arn Anderson will challenge Vader for the WCW World Title on Nitro.
War Games No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Vader, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage and Sting defeated The Dungeon of Doom (Kamala, Meng, The Shark and The Zodiac) when Vader made Zodiac submit to a sleeperhold in 0:20:05. Rating: * 1/2
Vader, Hogan, Savage, and Sting win War Games. For a while, the Dungeon of Doom were dominating, until Vader came out as the last man and began cleaning house. Sting and Savage began to fight off Meng and Kamala, with Vader hitting a violent power bomb on the Zodiac, before putting him a sleeperhold, nearly a choke and forcing the submission.
The Giant makes his way out, with boos, ripping open the cage door and he enters the ring. Hogan is up and Hogan fights off with the Giant with punches but the Giant kicks him in the stomach and headbutts Hogan three times in a row, before grabbing his head and twists his head like he might the top off of a soda bottle, drawing boos from the crowd, as Hogan goes down. Vader steps forward and goes face to face with the Giant. The fans are cheering, as they want to see these two men go at it, but The Taskmaster convinces the Giant to leave before they walk off, with Vader stepping over Hogan's fallen form and yelling at the Giant to come face him. We fade out, as Hogan is lying motionless on the canvas, his neck might have been snapped by this giant of a man.

Results of WCW Nitro 9/18/95:
Eddie Guerrero pinned Jushin Thunder Liger with the Frog Splash in 0:11:36. Rating: *** 1/2
After a recap from last night and hype for tonight's huge WCW World Title defense, with Vader defending against "Double A" Arn Anderson, we see Eddie Guerrero making his Nitro debut against Jushin Thunder Liger. Liger and Eddie had quite the match, but Eddie caught Liger with a superplex before hitting him with the Frog Splash. On commentary, Eric Bischoff talks about how you'll find great high flying action right here in WCW, better than any other place in the world.
We have an update on the condition of Hulk Hogan. After the Giant attacked him last night at Fall Brawl, Hogan suffered severe neck trauma and a concussion at the hands of the monster. Hulk Hogan has vowed to return but he might never be the same again. Hogan was supposed to challenge for the WCW World Title at Halloween Havoc but now that title shot might be in question. We understand that neither Sting or Randy Savage are in the building tonight, staying by the side of their friend but Sting and Savage will be at Nitro next week and they might be looking for revenge on the Dungeon of Doom.
Big Bubba Rogers pinned Scott Norton after a Gorilla Press in 0:06:43. Rating: *
This is a return match from the previous evening on the Main Event, with Bubba scoring the win over Norton. Norton went for a high risk move but it appeared to be costly, with Bubba slamming Norton off the top rope and pinning him. Big Bubba steps to the outside and meets with VK Wallstreet, who appears to be having some kind of offer to Bubba and Bubba looks interested. The two men walk off.
To the Dungeon of Doom, with the Master talking about how Hulkamania suffered a crushing blow. The Giant stands, saying that he only just started with making Hogan's life miserable. The Taskmaster agrees and the Giant says that he's the most dominant force in WCW, and he wants a piece at Vader for the WCW World Title. The Taskmaster states that the Giant will get his title shot soon enough but first they must stamp out every one of Hogan's friends. We see Kamala and Meng looking all sinister and grunting, and Sullivan says he's sending these two men to Nitro next Monday, to take on Sting and Savage in tag team action. They want to avenge their fallen comrade well they're have to fight two of the most dangerous men in WCW.
Paul Orndorff pinned The Renegade with the Piledriver in 0:07:22. Rating: ** 3/4
The Renegade beats on Orndorff for this match but Orndorff made a comeback. Orndorff hit the Piledirver and the Renegade crumples to the canvas like a folded up piece of paper for the pin. The Renegade lost the WCW Television Title and he might be sent into a tailspin. Mr. Wonderful poses to his theme music. Because he's so wonderful!
Just a reminder, WCW Saturday Night, 6:05 PM Eastern Time, the Mothership on TBS, one hour due to Atlanta Braves Baseball. The Blue Bloods take on the Armstrong Brothers, Big Bubba Rogers locks up Evad Sullivan, and in the main event, Cobra and Sgt. Craig Pittman battle in a return match from Fall Brawl.

It should be noted that Pillman also received a WCW United States Title Shot against Sting and he'll be receiving that at Halloween Havoc.
Vader defeated Arn Anderson by disqualification in 0:10:48. Rating: ** 3/4 (Vader retained the WCW World Title.) [Brian Pillman interfered against Vader.]
The crafty veteran, Arn Anderson beat Vader, working over the big man's legs but Vader fought back, battering Double A with punches. Brian Pillman comes out, and the distraction allows Anderson to pummel Vader some more. Anderson goes for a DDT, but Vader fights out of that move and collapses the lungs of Anderson with a running Vader Attack, before setting him up for the power bomb but Pillman jumped in, waffling Vader with an international object, causing the disqualification.
Pillman and Anderson double team Vader afterwards, with Pillman whipping Vader with a strap but this only serves to make Vader mad. Vader fights back and Ric Flair runs out to even the odds. He sends Pillman and Anderson reiling with chops and he turns around, but Vader shoves him into the corner. Vader roughs Flair up a little bit and Flair yells at Vader, asking what his problem is. Vader yells that he didn't need Flair's help. Pillman cuts a promo, mocking Vader and Flair, saying that they can stop having their lover spat and know that now their are two, soon their will be three next week. Anderson challenges Vader and Flair to a tag team match and Flair accepts, but Vader cuts him off, saying that he's agreeing to the match but he will sooner beat up Flair as well. Flair and Vader pretty much agree to settle things after they take care of Pillman and Anderson. We cut out with hype for that huge tag team match next week.
Card rating: ** 1/2
