Monday Night Anarchy May 30, 2011 Prudential Center - Newark, New Jersey Attendance: 11,340 (63%)
“Lies of the Beautiful People” plays in the background as still photos are shown from last night’s FULLY LOADED event. Photos include: Adam Cole retaining the X-Division Title; The American Wolves defeating AJ Styles and Mr. Anderson; Daffney winning the Women’s Title; the post-match attack by Abyss on Randy Orton; Cody Rhodes winning the Heavyweight Title; and finally, Abyss’s attack on Rhodes, and Abyss holding up the Heavyweight Title…
“Headstrong” plays through the arena as fireworks light up the darkness. As the lights come on, the camera pans the audience, and Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to the home of the New Jersey Nets. They say that Fully Loaded was a great show, and that no one was expecting to see what they did at the close of the show, as “The Monster” Abyss cashed in his Golden Opportunity and defeated new champion Cody Rhodes to win the Heavyweight Title! It is announced that Rhodes will be in action tonight, facing David Hart Smith.
The lights in the arena turn off as Abyss makes his way to the ring, holding the Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. He enters the ring and stands, silently, as the rain of boos crashes down on him. Emotionless, Abyss adjusts the belt on his shoulder before saying that what he did last night was not meant to shock the crowd; they all knew he would cash in the Golden Opportunity. It was just a matter of when. Abyss says that, last night, even though he neither beat or lost to Randy Orton, he did get the last laugh. He says that Orton quickly became a distant memory, Abyss turned his attention to the Heavyweight Title Match. Abyss said that he was going to cash in his chance last night, no matter who won, because he had been toying with the moment for too long. He said that things couldn’t have worked out better for him, because he got Cody Rhodes at the pinnacle of his career, and ruined the greatest moment of his life. Abyss says that, that moment, was his Golden Opportunity; and because of that, he stands in the ring as the new Heavyweight Champion. He says that he can now start looking forward, away from the likes of Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, but is quickly interrupted as Rhodes appears on-stage…
Rhodes applauds Abyss for using the Golden Opportunity to pull a fast one over himself and the rest of the HWL. He admits to not thinking Abyss had the ability to do something like that, and says that he’s wrong for doubting him. Rhodes asks Abyss if he really thinks he’s “done” with Rhodes after what took place last night. He says that he wasn’t even champion for ten minutes, and that he’s gotten just a small taste of what it’s like to be champion - something he’s not ready to hand over so easily. Rhodes says that he will see Abyss again, using his rematch clause to challenge Abyss for the Heavyweight Title at Turning Point! The two men stare at each other, while the crowd goes crazy, and Anarchy goes to commercials…
Commercial Break
Alex Shelley pinned Kyle O’Reilly with the Sliced Bread #2 in 0:19:26. Rating: *** ¾ [Adam Cole interfered against Alex Shelley.]
Before the match began, Alex Shelley came out to the ring, to get one nagging issue off his chest. Shelley said that, for weeks, he had been trying to tell Adam Cole that he was doing nothing buy burying the X-Division Title to sooth his own massive ego. Shelley said that he and Cole could’ve gone out and settled things like men, but instead, O’Reilly came down to help Cole retain the title. Shelley said that Cole was still a disgrace to the title, and would continue to be until it was taken away from him.
After the bell rang, ADAM COLE wasted no time making his way to the ring; and he made sure he was a consistent distraction for Shelley throughout the contest. The match started with back and forth action, with Shelley taking control early on. Shelley connected with the Dominator for only a two-count. Shelley then ran into the ropes, only to have Cole pull them down, sending Shelley crashing to the concrete below! Cole stepped aside as the referee started his 10-count. Shelley, slowly made it back to the ring at nine, and O’Reilly quickly pounced, connecting with the Brain Buster in the center of the ring! O’Reilly quickly covered, but Shelley kicked out at two, infuriating O’Reilly. As O’Reilly argued with the referee, Adam Cole slid a steel chair into the ring, but Shelley grabbed it first, and waited for O’Reilly to run around. However, O’Reilly blocked the shot, and used the chair on Shelley instead! The referee threatened O’Reilly before throwing the chair out of the ring, as O’Reilly went for the cover. Another two count! Both O’Reilly and Cole got into the face of the referee as Shelley slowly pulled himself up to his feet and caught his breath. Cole, in a fit of rage, jumped off the apron as O’Reilly turned around and was met with the Slice Bread #2! Shelley covered O’Reilly for the three-count!
After the match, Cole looked into the ring in shock as Shelley was announced the winner. Shelley, still showing signs from the chair shot, raised his arms in victory and flashed a huge smile in the direction of the X-Division Champion. Cole pounded the ring apron as Shelley exited the ring, getting a great reaction from the crowd.

A video is shown from last week, of KAZ to a local jailhouse and posting bail for YOSHI TATSU after his incident with the therapist. Kaz asks Yoshi what happened, but Yoshi said nothing in response, heading out the front door and getting into Kaz’s car. The video ends as Kaz thanks the police officer and exit’s through the front as well. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels begin to wonder why we’re beginning to see a different side of Yoshi now, when there has been nothing to provoke his behavior…
Maryse pinned Nikki Bella after an elbowsmash in 0:18:30. Rating: ½*
These two Vixens met again, for the second time tonight, as Nikki Bella was looking to continue her winning ways against the French Canadian superstar. Both Vixens put their bodies on the line, nearly going the distance in this match. Maryse came out strong, hoping to even up things with Nikki after coming up short in their last match. Maryse, countless times, pushed the limits of the referee, holding in choke holds until four before breaking them, being sure to not get herself disqualified. The repeated chokes against the ropes, though, had the necessary effect on Nikki, as she was unable to mount any sizeable comeback. Nikki fell victim to an elbow that connected with her temple, and she went down in a heap. Maryse quickly made the cover as the referee counted the three.
Commercial Break
The American Wolves are seen backstage, celebrating their victory over AJ Styles and Mr. Anderson last night at Fully Loaded, when they are approached by Alisha Hicks. Eddie Edwards says that they were going to take tonight - since they weren’t in action - to celebrate their win. He says that the Wolves were given their first big test for last night: Styles and Anderson, who have been taught by the “Dirtiest Player in the Game”, Ric Flair. Edwards says that Flair knows every trick in the book - and some that haven’t even been written yet - but that none of the low-down things any of them did could stop them from picking up a victory last night.
Davey Richards says that Styles, Anderson and Flair were so threatened by the thought of what the Wolves could do, that they kidnapped him in order to try and gain an advantage last night. Richards says that even after being kidnapped and being left in the dark, without food for God knows how long, he and Edwards still walked out of Fully Loaded victorious. He says that, because of that, they were setting their sights on bigger goals: mainly, the HWL Tag Team Titles. Richards says that the Hart Dynasty has been a dominant force in the division since Day One; and that they’ve claimed to have defeated everyone that crossed their paths. But, there is one team that they haven’t stepped into the ring with yet. And, when they step into the ring, with the American Wolves; the dynasty will end…

Colt Cabana & Derrick Bateman defeated Yoshi Tatsu & Kaz when Cabana pinned Kaz after a backbreaker in 0:08:25. Rating: *** ¾
The on-going saga between Yoshi Tatsu and Kaz continued to play out earlier tonight, but there was hope in the arena that they would be able to come out strong against the quickly rising duo of Cabana and Bateman. This was a very fast-paced match, with Bateman proving to be the power member of the foursome. Yoshi and Kaz show flashes of impressive offense, but Cabana and Bateman seemed to be more then they could handle. The ending of the match saw Yoshi tag out to Kaz, and then walked away from the ring! The crowd booed as Kaz turned, in shock, to see his partner standing on the stage. Kaz turned around and was met with a neck breaker by Cabana. Colt then connected with a thunderous backbreaker and made the cover as the referee counted the three.
After the match, Cabana and Bateman celebrated their victory as Yoshi walked through the curtains backstage. As Kaz slowly got to his feet, Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels speculated at what could possibly happen next between these two men…
Commercial Break
Backstage, “The Demonic Princess” Daffney is shown, walking through the hallways, with the Women’s Title around her waist. As she turns the corner, NATALYA attacks her from behind! Natalya continues the assault, leaving Daffney motionless on the floor, and says that Daffney should cherish every moment she has with the belt, because it will soon be back around Nataly’s waist, where it belongs. Natalya walks away as the camera focuses on Daffney’s body…
Davey Richards defeated Tyson Kidd by disqualification in 0:07:58. **Tyson Kidd suffered a neck injury. He will be out for two weeks.** Rating: *** [Natalya interfered against Davey Richards.]
Earlier tonight, The American Wolves said that they were setting their sights on the HWL Tag Team Titles, after coming off a victory against AJ Styles and Mr. Anderson, last night at Fully Loaded. The crowd was given a preview of that possible match-up tonight as Davey Richards stepped into the ring with Tyson Kidd. Richards showed am impressive display of offense, but insisted on taking the match outside the ring on three separate occasions. There, he used the ring steps to his advance, repeatedly ramming Tyson Kidd’s knees into the steel. Also outside, Richards whipped Kidd into the guardrail, causing him to land awkwardly on his shoulder and neck; and for the rest of the match, Kidd appeared unable to use his left arm. Back inside the ring, NATAYLA had seen enough, and slid into the ring with a steel chair, crushing it into Richards’ back. The referee quickly called for the DQ as Natalya dropped the chair and helped Kidd out of the ring.
Commercial Break
David Hart Smith pinned Cody Rhodes with the Saito Suplex in 0:19:02. Rating: ** ¼ [Natalya interfered against Cody Rhodes.]
Cody Rhodes came into this match fuming after having the Heavyweight Title “stolen” from him last night at Fully Loaded. He stepped into the ring with David Hart Smith, who was trying to avoid the same fate as his tag team partner. With Natalya at ringside, Rhodes found himself in a mismatch, but he took the fight to his slightly larger opponent. Rhodes seemed impervious to pain tonight, taking the onslaught that Smith gave him, but still managing to connect with three separate Cross Rhodes attempts! Smith kicked out of the first two, but had help from Natalya on the third, as she put his foot on the rope to break the three-count. Smith was able to fight back, taking the match outside, and using the ring to his advantage. Back inside the ring, Smith set up Rhodes for a superplex, but Rhodes pushed him off. As Rhodes stood, attempting and elbow from the second rope, the lights in the arena went out. When the lights came back, Rhodes was staring at the stage, waiting. When no one came out, Rhodes turned around and was met by a Saito Suplex! Smith made the cover and picked up the victory.
After the match, Smith and Natalya exited the ring as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels wondered if there was a technical glitch, or if “The Monster” Abyss was beginning to play mind games with Cody Rhodes…

Monday Night Anarchy June 6, 2011 Nationwide Arena - Columbus, Ohio Attendance: 11,033 (59%)
Scenes from last week’s episode of Anarchy are shown, ending with the lights going out during the David Hart Smith - Cody Rhodes match.
“Headstrong” begins to play though out the arena as fireworks shoot into the air from the stage. As the lights come back on, the camera pans around the audience as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Columbus, just three weeks away from Turning Point. They announce that, tonight, Colt Cabana and Derrick Bateman will take on The American Wolves in a battle of two fast-rising tag teams. Also, tonight, Maryse will take on former Women’s Champion, Velvet Sky, in singles action…
Randy Orton’s music hits as “The Viper” makes his way to the ring, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. Orton grabs a microphone and says that he sat in the back last week, watching Cody Rhodes come down to the ring and demand a rematch against Abyss for the Heavyweight Title at Turning Point, and all he could do was shake his head in disbelief. Orton says that he understands that Cody has a reason to want a rematch, seeing as how he had been champion for five minutes, but says that Rhodes lost the match; and that it’s the nature of the game. He says that Rhodes would’ve done the same exact thing if the roles were reversed, just like everyone else on the HWL roster. Orton says that, just like Rhodes, he is out to make his case for being the Number One Contender, and feels that he should be the one to challenge Abyss for the Heavyweight Title. Orton says that he and Rhodes but feel they should be the challenger, but there’s one small difference between the two: Cody Rhodes lost to Abyss at Fully Loaded. Orton didn’t.
Orton says that Rhodes is upset because he feels “screwed” out of the Heavyweight Title, and says that Rhode has every way to feel that way, but that he’s not the only one it’s ever happened to. He says that for weeks, leading up to Fully Loaded, Orton and Abyss tore each other apart, essentially trying to end one another’s careers. Orton says that he has been the only one on the HWL roster to make “The Monster” look as bad as he did during their 20-minute war at Fully Loaded. His only flaw is that Orton wasn’t able to put Abyss down for the three-count. Orton says that he wants another chance to prove that he can beat Abyss, and says that he knows Abyss can’t be content with having a draw on his record without finding out who really is the better of the two. He says that, at Turning Point, one way or another, he will get his hands on “The Monster”, and if he walks away with the Heavyweight Title in the process, then it’ll have been worth it.
Commercial Break
Skip Sheffield pinned Steve Corino after a forearm to the back in 0:13:10. Rating: *** ½
Steve Corino stepped into the ring for the first time in a number of weeks tonight, against a man who came to Columbus ready to fight! Sheffield bullied Corino around the ring for the first few minutes of the match; making everyone think it would be overly quickly. But Corino was able to kick out of a Running Clothesline by the “Cornfed Meathead”, and fight his way back into the match. Later in the match, outside the ring, Corino was able to stun Sheffield with a vicious lariat when Sheffield attempted a body slam. Corino rolled back into the ring, and stunned Sheffield again, by locking him into a fisherman suplex; but the pinfall only received a two-count. The moment of weakness seemed to have angered Sheffield who didn’t allow Corino to fight back any further, knocking him to the canvas with the forearm to the back, and getting the three-count.

In the locker room, YOSHI TATSU is seen sitting in a chair, looking down at the floor as KAZ enters the room. Kaz stands by Yoshi for a moment, until Yoshi looks up at him, emotionless. Kaz says that he doesn’t know what’s been going on inside Yoshi’s mind for the past few weeks, but that he has stood by his side through everything during their time in the HWL. Kaz says that he never thought - out of everyone on the roster - that Yoshi would be the one he’d be bailing out of jail. Kaz tells Yoshi that he was willing to let all of that slide, because they’re friends, but says that he can’t let go what happened last week. Kaz tells Yoshi that he demands an explanation as to way Yoshi walked away from the ring during their match…
Yoshi quickly gets to his feet and punches Kaz on the jaw, sending his partner down to the ground! Kaz continues to attack Kaz, before getting back to his feet and screaming out that he was sick and tired of being told what to do by everyone! Yoshi says that he’s not going to let Kaz - or anyone else - verbally push around any more, and that he’s going to prove once and for all that he can be something other than the laughing stock of the roster! Yoshi storms out of the room as the camera closes in on Kaz…
Velvet Sky pinned Maryse with the Beauty Mark in 0:13:26. Rating: *
Maryse looked to continue her winning ways this week, as she stepped into the ring with the former Women’s Champion, Velvet Sky. Maryse looked impressive, at times, during the match; but using her title loss as fuel, Velvet came out on a mission to get back into the title hunt. Sky picked up the victory after hitting the Beauty Mark, putting herself back into a position to again challenge for the Women’s Title.
Commercial Break
Backstage, DAVID HART SMITH is seen with Alisha Hicks, who first asks how Tyson Kidd is recovering from the injury he sustained last week. Hart says that Kidd’s back in Calgary, resting, and getting ready to return to action. Hart says that both he and Kidd think that The American Wolves are trying to replicate the actions that AJ Styles and Mr. Anderson took before their match at Fully Loaded. When asked for further reasoning, Hart says that The Wovles set the gauntlet, last week, when they challenged the Hart Dynasty for the Tag Team Titles, without actually coming out and saying it. Hart says that, The Wolves had a plan going into last week all along; and that it started with taking out Tyson Kidd.
Hart says that he doesn’t want to, but has to give credit where it’s due; saying that The Wolves did overcome odds at Fully Loaded to walk away with a victory. He says they lost every ounce of that credit last week, when they attacked Kidd; and they’re nowhere close to getting any of it back by thinking they will be the team to “finally” end the Hart Dynasty’s reign as Tag Team Champions. Hart says that it’s a running theme in the Horizon Wrestling League: everyone, who can find a partner, claims that their team will be the one to put an end to The Hart Dynasty. Numerous teams have tried. Most have failed, yet some have been successful; but their success was short-lived, as he and Kidd would always wind up with the titles around their waists. Hart says that the Wolves are no different then any other team that has passed through the HWL; and that there is very little either Davey Richards or Eddie Edwards can do that they haven’t seen before. Hart says that their challenge will be accepted, because it’s time to make another worthless team eat their words…
Commercial Break
The American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards) defeated Colt Cabana & Derrick Batman when D. Richards pinned D. Bateman after a tiger driver in 0:08:22. Rating: ** ¼ [Natalya interfered against Eddie Edwards.]
Both of these teams have been on a tear recently, quickly moving their way up the ladder to challenge for the Tag Team Titles. The Wolves - the current #1 Contenders - sent a message to David Hart Smith, earlier tonight, by attacking him backstage as Tyson Kidd recovers from a neck injury. During the match, Cabana and Bateman surprised a lot of people with their intensity as soon as the bell rang. The Wolves struggled to fight their way back into the match; and found things to be even tougher after NATALYA made her way down to ringside. Using the former Women’s Champion to their advantage, Cabana and Bateman brought the possibility of an upset closer and closer. But, things quickly changed as Davey Richards reversed an irish whip, and Natalya - blinding turning her head from the action - tripped Bateman instead! Cabana began screaming at Natalya from the apron, as Richards took Bateman down with a tiger driver. Cabana realized too late, and entered the ring after the referee had counted to three.
After the match, Richards slid out of the ring, as he and Edwards celebrated their victory. Natalya, shaking her head in disbelief, apologized to Cabana and Bateman for her miscue…
Commercial Break
Backstage, Alisha Hicks catches up with Natalya and asks about the confrontation she had with Cabana and Bateman. Natalya says that she didn’t go out there to help Cabana and Bateman, but to even things up with Richards and Edwards. Natalya says that, if Cabana and Bateman couldn’t take advantage if, it’s not her problem. Natalya storms off as Alisha looks on, wide-eyed.
Alex Shelley pinned Kaval with the Sliced Bread #2 in 0:10:20. Rating: *** ¼
Before the match, Alex Shelley came down to the ring and said that no one could understand how much time and effort he has put into trying to enlighten everyone on the ways that Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly are screwing everyone over in the X Division. Shelley said that he has been trying to show everyone in the HWL - from the ring crew to management - that Adam Cole has not had a legitimate match, or victory, since he became X-Division Champion. Shelley said that he will continue to fight for the people who believe in fairness in competition; and until he gets another shot at Adam Cole, with no interference from “his buddy”. Shelley said that, if Cole were a true man, and believed in keeping pride associated with the X-Division Title, then he would put in on the line next week. Shelley dropped the microphone and got ready for his match…
The match itself was a very fast-paced encounter. Kaval, coming back a couple weeks after receiving a second, small concussion at the foot of Mr. Anderson, appeared to be back at top form throughout the whole match. Shelley, though, came out impassioned by his thoughts on the X Division, and took his aggression out on Kaval. Shelley picked up the victory after hitting the Sliced Bread #2 and getting the three-count. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels mentioned that they had never seen Shelley in this “state” before; not even as he challenged for the Heavyweight Title earlier this year…
Commercial Break
Randy Orton defeated Kaz by disqualification in 0:02:31. Rating: ** ½
Earlier tonight, “The Viper” stated his case for why he should be the number one contender for the Heavyweight Title, and should face “The Monster” Abyss at Turning Point. Kaz, who has been having a difficult time with his partner, Yoshi Tatsu, came out looking to get a grip on his in-ring confidence, at least. But, this match ended as quickly as it started as the lights in the arena went out - for the second week in a row - halting the match. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels speculated that it was Abyss, giving Orton his answer, but as the lights come back, CODY RHODES stood behind Orton with a steel chair! Orton turned around as Orton smashed the chair over his head! The referee quickly rang the bell, and awarded the match to Orton.
After the match, Rhodes stood over Orton’s body, holding in the chair in the air, as Anarchy went off the air.

5/30: No surprises that Rhodes wants his return match. Should be a good main event for the PPV. Got to see my first bit of O'Reilly in Cinci last week. I'm not huge on him, but he takes a helluva beating. Good win for Shelley, despite Cole's interference. Yoshi is about to lose it. Ugh... I can't imagine watching 18 minutes of Nikki Bella and Maryse. Well, looks like that's the Yoshi turn. Imagine it only gets crazier from here. Luckily Kidd's neck injury was minor. Dynasty/Wolves should be damn good. That's a huge win for DH Smith, shenanigans or nay. 6/6: Makes sense that Orton would want to throw his hat in the ring. Good opening promo. Good win for Skip. Yup yup yup. Serious side to Yoshi. Haven't got to see much of that, in a circuit or WWE. We'll see where it goes. Velvet Sky... mmmm. DH Smith says suck it, Wolves. Wolves were going to win this match. Good booking. Looking forward to the tag title match. Good intensity from Shelley, and an even better win. I'm picking him to win the X Title soon. I get why it happened, but not a huge fan of the interference in the main event. Doesn't seem like the M.O. of Rhodes lately to do an attack like that. We'll see how you follow up.

Monday Night Anarchy June 13, 2011 Bradley Center - Milwaukee, Wisconsin Attendance: 8,984 (48%)
“Headstrong” blares throughout the darkened arena as fireworks shoot from the stage, and the crowd goes crazy. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Milwaukee, just 13 days away from Turning Point, where tonight Cody Rhodes will address the HWL fans about the actions he took last week against “The Viper” Randy Orton. A video plays, showing Randy Orton’s argument to be a part of the Heavyweight Title Match at Turning Point, and the attack by Rhodes during Orton’s match against Kaz.
Cody Rhodes comes out to the ring, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd, as Josh Daniels notices the seriousness that showed on his face; something he had never seen before from Rhodes. Rhodes enters the ring and paces around, with microphone in hand, before stopping beside the ropes, looking up at the ramp. Rhodes says that he doesn’t understand it. He says he doesn’t understand how someone, who has had pretty much everything handed to him since he walked into the business, could feel the need to put his nose in a situation where it didn’t belong. Rhodes stares at the ramp and says that he’s talking about “The Viper” Randy Orton. Rhodes says that Orton wasn’t the one that got screwed out of the Heavyweight Title at Fully Loaded; it was him. Rhodes says that he never saw Abyss coming at Fully Loaded, because he had just finished having the match of his life against Kurt Angle. Orton, on the other hand, had his chance to beat Abyss the same night, but couldn’t get the job done. Because of that, Rhodes says, that Orton should accept that fact and let other people take care of their business… but that Orton doesn’t allow people to take care of their own business.
But, before Rhodes can continue, PETER BRADSHAW makes his way down to the ring, getting a bad scowl from Rhodes. Bradshaw says that he understands what Rhodes is saying, and that he feels that Rhodes has a definite case to be number one contender. But, he says that just like Rhodes, Randy Orton has unfinished business with Abyss due to what happened at Fully Loaded. Therefore, Bradshaw announces that tonight, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton will face each other in a number one contenders match, with the winner facing Abyss at Turning Point on June 26th. Bradshaw then leaves the ring as Rhodes screams that it’s not fair.
Josh Daniels informs the television audience that, coming up next, KAZ will take on SKIP SHEFFIELD.
Commercial Break
Kaz defeated Skip Sheffield by countout in 0:07:05. Rating: **
For the second straight week, “The Cornfed Meat Head” grabbed an early advantage, this time quickly tossing his lighter opponent outside the ring. Sheffield connected with a vicious clothesline, sending Kaz crashing onto the concrete at ringside before rolling him under the bottom rope. Sheffield looked like he had everything under control, but Kaz fought back, and with the crowd getting more and more behind him, ducked a clothesline attempt by Sheffield, before hitting a high cross body for a near fall! Kaz ran back into the ropes and hit Sheffield with a flying shoulder block that sent the big man falling through the ropes, tumbling down to the concrete below! Stunned, Sheffield got to his feet and slowly walked up the ramp as the referee counted him out.
After the match, as Kaz stood in the ring, shaking his head at the sight before him, YOSHI TATSU appears, jumping over the barricade and sliding into the ring behind Kaz. As Kaz turns around, Yoshi connects with a Roundhouse kick that sends Kaz to the canvas, motionless. The crowd boos as Yoshi exit’s the ring and makes his way up the ramp
Commercial Break
Backstage, Alisha Hicks welcomes back KURT ANGLE to Anarchy, after losing the Heavyweight Title at Fully Loaded. Angle says he doesn’t want to be welcomed back, because there’s nothing “welcome” about coming back without the Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. Angle says that he has sat back and watched Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton put each other down, hoping to make a case for their own title shots against Abyss. Angle says that, out of everyone involved at Fully Loaded, he is the one that has nothing to say. Angle says he lost, and in keeping with his integrity on the matter, he will wait until his time comes up again. Angle says he had a great run as champion, and that he will be waiting for the chance to hold the title again.
As Angle walks away from Alisha, he is attacked from behind by MR. ANDERSON! Anderson lands a series or kicks to Angle’s back and midsection, keeping him on the ground. Anderson then picks Angle up and Irish-whips him into the concrete wall! Angle slumps down to the ground as Anderson continues to land kicks to Angle’s midsection. Anderson gets down beside Angle and tells him that Anderson has been waiting a long time to get his hands on Angle once again; and now that Angle isn’t champion, that chance has arrived. Anderson smacks Angle across the face before leaving the scene as the camera zooms in on Angle…
Natalya defeated Velvet Sky by countout in 0:12:25. Rating: * ½
The former Women’s Champion looked to continue her ascent back up the ladder in the Vixens’ Division, as she stepped into the ring with the current number one contender for the title belt. These two Vixens have had quite the rivalry over the past year, and things were quickly rekindled after the bell rang. Both women stopped at nothing, in the hopes of getting the better of the other, but for most of the match neither of them could gain any ground. That is, until, Natalya connected with a boot to the midsection before throwing Velvet through the ropes, to the concrete below. Natalya quickly slid through the ropes and locked on the Sharpshooter as the referee began his 10-count. Velvet screamed in pain, and didn’t stop until Natalya released the hold at the referee’s count of six. Natalya picked up the former champion and connected with a devastating back suplex onto the concrete floor! Natalya rolled under the bottom rope as Velvet was counted out.
Commercial Break
Anarchy returns from the break, showing an outside shot of the Bradley Center. Back inside the arena, Josh Daniels is standing in the center of the ring, and announces a special interview with the Tag Team Champions, The Hart Dynasty. Tyson Kidd, David Hart Smith and Natalya make their way to the ring, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. J.D. thanks them for their time, and starts off by asking how Tyson Kidd is feeling, after he surprised everyone last Tuesday night by showing up at the PCW event in Dayton, Ohio. Kidd says that he’s feeling a lot better after last week, but still isn’t 100 percent. He says that he needed to get back into the ring before he and DHS defend the titles against The American Wolves. J.D. announces that the Tag Team Titles will be on the line, live, next week on Monday Night Anarchy; and wonders if Kidd with be fully healthy in a week’s time. Kidd says that it’s nothing to worry about, because he’s gone through worse pain; he had to in order to get where he is today. He and DHS both.
Smith says that he knows Tyson is ready for their match next week against the Wolves, but that it’s not going to be just an ordinary match, yet it’s going to be a fight. Smith says that he knows he’s ready for a fight, because he wants to make Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards pay for the things that they’ve said over the past couple weeks. And, what makes it even better is that the match will take place in their homeland, Canada. Smith says that it’s they’ve had their successes in Canada since joining the HWL, but that they still hold a lot or resentment for their loss there last year, where they had to watch the Tag Team Titles leave the ring under the possession of Americans. Smith promises that the same result will not repeat itself next week.
J.D. thanks the Champions for their time as the leave the ring. As they make their way up the ramp, THE AMERICAN WOLVES run down the ramp, and all four men start brawling in the aisle! Richards sends Kidd into the guardrail, as DHS takes Edwards down to the steel ramp with a clothesline! Smith attacks Richards from behind, knocking him to the ground, before he and Kidd assault Richards with a series of kicks. Edwards slowly gets back to his feet, and attempts to grab Smith from behind, but Natalya connects with a low blow that sends Edwards to the ground in agony! Smith brings Richards onto the ramp, and picks him up, as Kidd runs down the ramp, connecting with the Hart Attack on the steel ramp! Both Kidd and Richards cry out in pain as the crowd goes crazy. Smith and Natalya help Kidd to his feet, as The Hart Dynasty make their way up the ramp. Anarchy goes to commercials…
Commercial Break
Evan Bourne & Kaval defeated Matt Morgan & Mr. Anderson when Kaval pinned Anderson with the Warrior’s Way in 0:10:49. Rating: ***
Tonight, the crowd in Milwaukee was given a chance to see these unusual pairings, and they didn’t seem to be disappointed. All four of these men have had history with each other in the past, and they seemed to rekindle those fires once the bell rang. Evan Boure and Kaval were the fan-favorites tonight, but were overmatched by their larger, stronger opponents. Morgan and Anderson used their size to keep the high-flyers on their feet, but neither Bourne nor Kaval would let it last for long. Kaval spent most of the match as at the mercy of both Morgan and Anderson, until a quick tag brought in the fresher man, Bourne. Bourne came in with a fury for fists and boots, but ultimately came crashing down as Morgan caught a cross body attempt from the top rope and power slammed him to the canvas! Morgan tagged in Anderson, and it appeared that both men were ready to do more damaged to Bourne, but surprisingly, he was able to reach the corner and tag in Kaval! Kaval came into the ring - and with an urgency not seen before - took down both men. Kaval dropkicked Morgan through the ropes, before hitting a picture-perfect DDT on Anderson, and jumped onto the turnbuckle and connected with the Warrior’s Way. Kaval made the cover as the referee counted to three!
After the match, Bourne and Kaval celebrated in the center of the ring as Anderson slowly rolled under the bottom rope. The noise in the arena was deafening as Josh Daniels wondered if Kaval felt any sense of retribution after being knocked out of action by Anderson a few weeks ago…
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, KAZ is seen walking through the backstage area when he is approached by Alisha Hicks, who apologizes for interrupting him, but wanted to ask him how he was dealing with the situation surrounding Yoshi Tatsu. Kaz stops and looks at Alisha, shaking his head, and says that he has done everything he could think of to get Yoshi to talk to him; to get him to open up about what was going on. But Yoshi wouldn’t have any of it. Kaz says that last week was shocking, because he’s never seen that side of Yoshi before, but that what happened earlier tonight was the last straw. Kaz says that it seems there’s only one way he’s going to get through to Yoshi, and that’s to fight him. He says it’s not something he wants to do, but he’s running out of options. Kaz walks away from Alisha as the camera goes back to the ring…
[X-Division Title Match]: Alex Shelley pinned Adam Cole with the Sliced Bread #2 in 0:12:51. Rating: *** ¾ (Alex Shelley won the HWL X-Division Title.)
After weeks of back and forth verbal attacks by both men, Alex Shelley and Adam Cole came out to the ring, prepared to put their bodies on the line… all to become X-Division Champion. Adam Cole agreed that Kyle O’Reilly would stay backstage for this match, so that a true winner could be announced; and for that, the crowd got one helluva match! Both men showed off their amazing aerial maneuvers while the match was between the ropes, but it didn’t take long for the fight to run into the seating area of the arena. Shelley and Cole brawled their way through the arena, using everything they could possibly get their hands on to wear the other one down. As they fought down an aisle-way, Shelley grabbed a fire extinguisher and sprayed foam in Cole’s eyes, before using the cement wall to hit the Slice Bread #2! Shelley went for the cover, as the referee counted to three, and the crowd went crazy as Shelley was announced the NEW X-Division Champion.
After the match, fans nearby congratulated Shelley on his victory, as he fought his way through them on his way to ringside. Jumping over the barricade, Shelley was awarded the X-Division Title, and he celebrated inside the ring as Anarchy went to commercials.
Commercial Break
Cody Rhodes pinned Randy Orton after a DDT in 0:04:10. Rating: *** [Abyss interfered against Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton.]
Rhodes and Orton have shared a long history together in the HWL, and tonight they met with the echance to face Abyss for the Heavyweight Title at Turning Point. After the bell rang, the match was hijacked as “The Monster” made his way down to the ring, and interfered on behalf of BOTH men who want to take the title away from him in two weeks! Abyss cracked Orton in the back with a steel chair, and just moments later, pulled the top rope down from under Cody Rhodes, sending him crashing to the canvas. The referee, having seen enough, quickly banished Abyss from ringside, allowing the match to continue. But, with both men having felt the affects of the champion’s actions, either of them were at the mercy of fate. Rhodes was able to grab it, connecting with a DDT - planting Orton’s head into the canvas - before covering him for the 1-2-3!
After the match, Rhodes slowly got to his feet, and was announced the winner as the crowd went crazy! He leaned up against the ropes and celebrated his win as Anarchy went off the air.

Rhodes should be pissed. It's his title shot, dammit!
Kaz with a countout victory over Sheffield, and then gets his clock cleaned by Yoshi. Ouch.
I like Anderson attacking Angle. I don't like Angle just seemingly being a-okay with losing the World Title. "Ah well, I'll get a rematch one day. Ho-hum." Would have preferred Angle wanting to get involved in the title situation and THEN Anderson attacks him for that feud.
Wow... Natalya kicked Velvet's ass. Isn't Velvet your #1 contender? I hope this means Natalya gets into a triple threat then, because otherwise, she just more or less squashed your #1 contender.
Tag title situation is getting more and more personal. I like it.
If you're going to start a new program with Angle & Anderson, I'm not sure if I like Kaval pinning Anderson clean in the tag match. I like Kaval, but if Kaval can pin Anderson, Angle should have zero troubles.
New X-Division champion! Good match, and fun to see a title change on the tv show. Good stuff.
Ugh... interference in the main event. Nothing wrong with it on paper, but was just looking forward to seeing who was the better man. Abyss vs. Rhodes should be good though.

As usual, good work mixing up feuds and putting forth a better version of a secondary promotion that isn't full of the usual stars. Beginning to buy Cody as a main guy, even though like Ryan, I wonder about Kaval pinning Anderson soon after Anderson gets into it with Angle is questionable.
But otherwise, the tag division looks solid, you have a new-ish feud for the X-Division belt and Abyss works well as the scary champion that benefits as Rhodes and Orton feud.

Monday Night Anarchy June 20, 2011 Scotiabank Place - Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Attendance: 16,605 (81%)
“Headstrong” blares through the darkened arena as fireworks shoot from the stage, and the crowd goes crazy. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Ottawa, just six days away from Turning Point, where tonight, The Hart Dynasty will put their Tag Team Titles on the line against The American Wolves in a match that should be one of the toughest matches the champions have had since starting their second reign.
The commentary is interrupted as HWL Owner, Peter Bradshaw, makes his way out to the ring. Bradshaw says that for a week, he has been reviewing the tape of last week’s main event, and he still can’t wrap his head around the situation that’s taking place between Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and Abyss. Bradshaw says that he has tried to do everything by the book - and to be fair - as far as naming a true number one contender for the Heavyweight Title. He says that Cody Rhodes did, indeed, win the match last week; but that Bradshaw wasn’t sure if he would let the victory stand due to the fact that Abyss attacked both men during the match. So, Bradshaw says that, after spending this week reviewing things, and trying to come up with a plan that will make not only the three of them happy, but will give the HWL fans something they’d want to see, he has finally come up with it. Bradshaw announces that, this Sunday night, at Turning Point, Abyss will defend the Heavyweight Title in a TRIPLE THREAT MATCH against both Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton!
After letting the crowd quiet down from the excitement, Bradshaw says that he has also decided to make tonight a “Pick Your Poison” night. He says that all three men will have the chance to choose the opponents of the other men in Sunday’s main event. Bradshaw thanks the crowd for their time before leaving the ring as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels contemplate what is going to happen later tonight…

AJ Styles pinned Colt Cabana with the Styles Clash in 0:04:37. Rating: *** ¼
Tonight, the fans in Ottawa were on hand to see the return of “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, who was coming back after suffering a hyper-extending his elbow three weeks ago, at Fully Loaded. Styles came out like a bolt of lightning tonight, using Ric Flair’s interference to bring Cabana outside the ring where he connected with a Styles Clash on the concrete floor! After bringing Cabana back into the ring, Styles locked in the Figure Four, and held the move for 25 seconds, while Cabana fought his way to the ropes. Though Cabana was able to get in little offense, the toll had been taken, and he quickly fell victim to another Styles Clash in the center of the ring. AJ Styles picked up a very impressive return victory here tonight.
Commercial Break
Coming back from the break, YOSHI TATSU is seen walking though the backstage area, and is approached by Alisha Hicks. Alisha asks what Tatsu’s reaction is to Kaz saying he thought fighting Yoshi would be the best chance to teach him something. Yoshi says that he has learned nothing from Kaz during their time as tag team partners. He says that Kaz always told him that they would be Tag Team Champions one day, and it never happened. He says that it wasn’t because of Yoshi, because he did everything he could to help get those belts. Yoshi says that he shut down after a while, because he was tired of hearing Kaz’s empty promises, and says that he can’t wait to get into the ring with Kaz this Sunday night.
[Pick Your Poison - Non-Title Match]: Tommy Dreamer pinned Abyss with the Dreamer DDT in 0:12:12. Rating: ** [Randy Orton & Cody Rhodes interfered against Abyss.]
“The Monster” Abyss was first up in tonight’s “Pick Your Poison” edition of Anarchy. As the Heavyweight Champion stood in the ring, Randy Orton appear on the titantron to introduce the champion’s opponent: “The Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer! Dreamer made a bee-line for the ring, and was quickly planted with a belly-to-belly suplex as he got to his feet! From there, “The Monster” left off where these two men’s rivalry left off. The match went all over the ringside area, with Abyss controlling Dreamer, who had been gone since the Brutality event in January. Things were evened up as RANDY ORTON and CODY RHODES both made their way to the ring, trying to knock the Heavyweight Champion off his game. As Rhodes distracted the referee, Orton connected with a vicious chairshot to Abyss, that opened up a small gash on the top of his head. Throughout the match, drops of blood could be see falling to the canvas. Later in the match, Orton again tried to use a chair, but the referee grabbed it before Orton could swing, and quickly admonished Orton from ringside! But, behind the referee’s back, Cody Rhodes entered the ring and hit a low-blow to Abyss, that allowed Dreamer to hit the Dreamer DDT to pick up a huge, assisted victory!
After the match, Dreamer celebrated in the center of the ring as Rhodes looked on from ringside, and Orton watched the scene from the stage. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels speculated as to if Orton and Rhodes had somehow formed a partnership to get the Heavyweight Title off of “The Monster”…
Commercial Break
Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly make their way to the ring as Anarchy returns from the break. Cole says that he wants to get two things off his chest. First, he tells O’Reilly that he’s ashamed of him for not coming out to the ring and helping Cole during his match against Alex Shelley. O’Reilly tries to give his reasoning, but is cut of by Cole, who tells him that O’Reilly was never a friend and was just using Cole to get stardom in the HWL. Cole then demands that O’Reilly leave the ring.
As O’Reilly leaves, Cole says that he wants to address Alex Shelley. He says that Shelley finally got what he wanted: a singles title in the HWL. Cole says that his title reign will be short-lived, because he would be instituting his “rematch clause” this Sunday, at Turning Point.
This brings out the X-Division Champion, who comes out to the ring and stands face-to-face with Cole. Alex Shelley says that Cole can never take the blame for anything, even after losing the title in a match where he demanded no one be at ringside. Shelley says that Cole knows he can’t beat him without having someone there to catch him when he screws up. Shelley says that Cole just caused himself a friendship and any hope that someone in the back will save his ass this Sunday. Shelley accepts the challenge for a rematch, but under the condition that the match is a LADDER MATCH. Shelley drops the microphone and leaves the ring as Cole stands, stunned, in the center of the ring.

[HWL Tag Team Title Match]: The American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards) defeated The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) when E. Edwards defeated D.H. Smith by disqualification in 0:15:40. Rating: ** ¾ (The Hart Dynasty retained the HWL Tag Team Titles.) [Natalya interfered against Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards.]
For weeks, both of these teams have been sharing very strong, passionate words between each other; hitting various nervous along the way, adding fuel to the fire that was building for this confrontation. This match was a very personal, brutal match, as both teams wanted to impose their will on the other. The Wolves came in with a huge chip on their shoulder, after being told that they would face the same fate as other teams that had tried to take the titles away from the Harts. And, the champions had the city of Ottawa behind them for this one. But, it seemed like the home-country support wasn’t enough to sustain a victory on their own. With the Wolves holding onto the advantage, Davey Richards connected with a power slam on Tyson Kidd, and went for the cover only to have Natalya slide Kidd’s boot onto the bottom rope, breaking up the pinfall. The crowd in Ottawa soon became mixed as they noticed that the champions were having a hart time putting away their challengers; and after Eddie Edwards hit Smith with a picture-perfect DDT and went for the cover, Natalya jumped onto the apron and broke up the three-count. But this time the referee had had enough, and quickly called for the bell! The match was awarded to the Wolves, but the Dynasty would keep the Tag Team Titles.
After the match, as the Wolves stood in the ring arguing with the referee, and The Hart Dynasty stood at ringside celebrating their title defense, PETER BRADSHAW made his way onto the stage. Bradshaw said that, for months, he had seen Natalya stand in the way of anyone having a decent match with the Hart Dynasty, especially when it came to the Tag Team Titles. Bradshaw said that, instead of ordering the match to restart, he had bigger plans in mind. Bradshaw then announced that, this Sunday night, at Turning Point, The Hart Dynasty would defend the HWL Tag Team Titles against The American Wolves… in a steel cage match! The Dynasty lost their minds as The Wolves looked on, smiling and applauding the decision, as Bradshaw made his way backstage…

Backstage, KURT ANGLE is seen with Alisha Hicks. Angle says that he doesn’t understand what’s going on inside Mr. Anderson’s head, causing him to come from behind and attack Angle out of nowhere two weeks ago. Pausing, Angle says that he does see why he’d do it, though, because Anderson is beginning to realize that he and AJ Styles are going nowhere in the HWL. Angle says that Styles picked up a victory tonight, but that Anderson was the one who got his shoulders pinned to the canvas last week. Angle says that Anderson just wants to make a name for himself again - or try to - and says that if Anderson wants a match at Turning Point, he’s got one…
[Pick Your Poison Match]: Cody Rhodes pinned Matt Morgan after a Hotshot in 0:08:26. Rating: ** ¾
Cody Rhodes came out to the ring, for the second “Pick Your Poison” match tonight, and waited to see who his opponent would be. Rhodes was shocked when a very angry, and bandaged Abyss appeared on-screen and announced that “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan would be Rhodes’s opponent! The crowd roared in cheers as Morgan made his way down the ramp and the match began. Rhodes and Morgan have had a lengthy history, dating back to the end of last year, when they were continually battling for the right to challenge Kurt Angle for the Heavyweight Title. Tonight, that fire was still there as Morgan wanted nothing more then to upend one of the challengers in Sunday night’s main event. Rhodes appeared to be dodging Morgan, but was able to get in some decent offense along the way. At the end of the match, Rhodes ducked a Big Boot attempt by “The Blueprint”, and used the ropes to hit the Hotshot. Rhodes grabbed a handful of tights as the referee counted to three!
After the match, Rhodes quickly rolled out of the ring as Morgan fumed with anger. Rhodes pointed to his head and laughed as he made his way up the ramp…

[Pick Your Poison Match]: Randy Orton pinned Kurt Angle after hitting him with a steel chair in 0:13:24. Rating: *** ½ [Mr. Anderson interfered against Kurt Angle.]
“The Viper” made his way down to the ring for tonight’s finale “Pick Your Poison” match, when Cody Rhodes - still laughing about the events that took place before the break - appears on-screen and announces Orton’s opponent as the former Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle! Orton instantly become upset, and determined, as Angle made his way to the ring. This was a hard-fought match for both men, but it became even more interesting as MR. ANDERSON came down to the ring. Anderson made sure to stay in the sight of Angle, his opponent at Turning Point, but it wasn’t enough to take Angle off his game completely. Angle attempted an Angle Slam, only to have Orton slide off his back and duck out of the ring for a breather. As the referee gave Orton his 10-count, Anderson entered the ring and smashed Angle in the back of the head with a steel chair! Orton quickly slid back into the ring and covered Angle, but the former champion got his foot on the ropes, breaking the pinfall. Orton continued to work over Angle’s neck and back, before hitting an RKO in the center of the ring. He went for the cover, and just as the referee’s hand was to hit the canvas, Angle kicked out! Irate, Orton got into the referee’s face as Mr. Anderson slid another chair into the ring. Orton backed away from the referee as Anderson came around and jumped onto the apron, catching the ref’s attention. With no one watching, Orton grabbed the steel chair and paced as Angle slowly got to his feet, before connecting with a horrible shot to Angle’s head. Orton threw the chair outside the ring as Anderson jumped off the canvas, and made the cover. The referee counted three and awarded the match to Orton as Anderson watched, satisfied from the ramp.

HWL TURNING POINT June 26, 2011 Bell Centre - Montreal, Quebec, Canada Attendance: 14,322 (66%)
A video montage begins to play as “Deliver Us” by In Flames plays in the background. Fireworks shoot from the stage, lighting up the darkened arena, as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Montreal. Six action-packed matches will take place tonight, including a Triple Threat Match for the Heavyweight Title. Tonight, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes try to stake their claim to the Heavyweight Title against a man that no one has heard much from in the past few weeks, “The Monster” Abyss. Also tonight, there will be a Ladder Match to determine the X-Division Championship, and a Cage Match to determine the Tag Team Championships. J.D. then sends it to the ring for tonight’s first title match. [Women’s Title Match]: Daffney pinned Natalya with the Lobotomy in 0:05:08. Rating: ** ½ (Daffney retained the HWL Women’s Title.)The home-country crowd was behind Natalya tonight, and she didn’t disappoint, coming out strong in the early part of this match. She reversed a clothesline into a backslide for a near-fall, and didn’t let up from there. However, Daffney was about to mount offense when it counted, taking Natalya down with an arm drag, and followed it up with the Lobotomy out of nowhere! Daffney made the cover as the fans in Montreal looked on in amazement at what they just witnessed. Daffney left the ring, laughing at the top of her lungs, as the camera goes backstage… Backstage, MR. ANDERSON is seen with AJ Styles, Ric Flair and Chelsea. Anderson tells Alisha Hicks that Kurt Angle doesn’t know “what the hell” he’s talking about, and should do everyone a favor by shutting his mouth. Anderson says he’s not concerned about not going anywhere in the HWL, because he has been learning from one of the greatest teachers the industry has ever seen. Anderson says that he and AJ are fully confident that they will be back in the title picture very soon. But, Anderson says that he’s not going to concern himself with thinking too far ahead, because tonight, he’s finally going to do what he’s wanted to do for a long time: beat “The Olympic Gold Medalist” 1-2-3. The four walk away as we go back to ringside. J.D. and Scott Michaels mention that things are heating up between Anderson and Angle - and in only a short amount of time - much like the on-going feud between Adam Cole and Alex Shelley for the X-Division Title. A video package is played from Monday Night Anarchy, when Adam Cole “fired” Kyle O’Reilly and said that he would put in effect his rematch clause for Turning Point. The clip then shows Alex Shelley accepting the rematch, adding that the title would be on the line in a Ladder Match. The video ends as the camera shows the X-Division Title hanging above the ring and ladders lining the aisle and barricades at ringside… [X-Division Title Match]: Alex Shelley defeated Adam Cole in 0:20:58. Rating: *** ¾ (Alex Shelley retained the HWL X-Division Title.)Adam Cole made his way down to the ring first, and stared at the belt hanging from the rafters, that he used to call his own, as the current champion, Shelley, was introduced. Cole and Shelley started out in a classic wrestling match when the bell rang, but the tone of the match quickly changed after Cole sent Shelley headfirst through the ropes, crashing to the concrete at ringside. Cole continued to work over Shelley, focusing on his legs, trying to wear them down for later in the match. Cole through Shelley into the ring steps before grabbing a ladder from the guardrail, bringing into the ring, and setting it up. As Cole tried to climb the ladder, Shelley slowly made his way into the ring; and using his upper body strength, used the ladder to get to his feet before pushing the ladder over, sending Cole crashing down to the canvas! The match continued, with both men wearing each other day, scattering ladders all over ringside. A highlight of the match was Shelley using a propped up ladder - in the corner - to connect with the Sliced Bread #2! Both men lay broken on the canvas, and both began to move simultaneously. Shelley attempted to climb the ladder, but Cole grabbed a broken ladder from nearby, and cracked it against Shelley’s back, sending him down to the mat once more. The tension in the arena was thick as Cole slowly began to climb the ladder, hoping to regain his X-Division Title, when Shelley began to move below him. Tired and sore, Cole stopped on the ladder, giving Shelley enough time to grab his legs and send him to the canvas with a devastating power bomb! Shelly, limping from his injuries, garnered a second wind, and climbed up the ladder to retrieve the X-Division Title as the crowd went crazy. After the match, Shelley fell to the canvas, grasping the title belt in his arms, as EMTs rushed down to the ring to tend to both participants. J.D. and Scott Michaels both gave the praises to both men, and said that the match was a very good candidate to steal the show… Backstage, KURT ANGLE is seen with Alisha Hicks. Angle says that he thinks it’s funny that Mr. Anderson is saying Angle doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Angle responds by saying that he isn’t the one who’s delusional, thinking that he still has anything to prove. He says that Anderson may be getting lessons from the greatest wrestler in the business, but that it doesn’t mean anything if Anderson doesn’t put those lessons to good use. Angle says that Anderson has had his chances - time and time again - to prove to everyone that would listen, that he could beat Kurt Angle; but he has yet to do it. Angle says that he is going to humor Anderson one more time, but that after he makes Anderson tap out, he hopes “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair cuts his losses and stops wasting his time… Also backstage, THE AMERICAN WOLVES are seen with Ted Hanson. Eddie Edwards says that they were screwed Monday night, out of the Tag Team Titles, because Natalya stuck her nose - like always - where it doesn’t belong. He says that he knows Natalya was trying to support her family, but if he were either David Hart Smith or Tyson Kidd, he’d be getting pretty sick of retaining the Tag Team Titles on technicalities. Davey Richards then adds that he could think of no better way to finally decide who the better tag team in the HWL is, then by putting a steel cage around them and taking Natalya out of the equation. Richards says that Peter Bradshaw made an excellent choice Monday night, and after they lose, The Hart Dynasty will have no excuses… Kurt Angle defeated Mr. Anderson when Mr. Anderson passed out in an ankle lock in 0:11:08. Rating: ****The rivalry between these two had gone mostly unnoticed until a few weeks ago, when Anderson attacked Angle from behind just a week after losing the Heavyweight Title. Anderson apparently took Angle’s words to heart, and came out like a fireball in the opening moments of the match; taking the fight to Angle. Anderson held control of the match until Angle reversed a DDT attempt into a Northen Lights Suplex, getting himself a two-count. Angle stayed on Anderson, wearing him down with mat wrestling, also taking away the threat of interference by either Ric Flair or Chelsea who had accompanied Anderson to ringside. The end of the match saw Angle whip Anderson into the ropes, but Anderson ducked a clothesline attempt and set up for the Mic Check. Angle quickly reversed the hold and connected with the Angle Slam, getting a huge reaction from the crowd. Angle locked on the Ankle Lock, looking directly at Flair and Chelsea as Anderson’s arm fell to the canvas for the third, and final, time. After the match, Angle was announced the winner, as MATT MORGAN ran down the ramp with a steel pipe! Morgan entered the ring and struck Angle in the back of the leg with the pipe, dropping Angle to the canvas in agony. The crowd looked on in shock as Morgan dropped the pipe and left the ring as Flair and Chelsea looked on… Backstage, the Tag Team Champions, THE HART DYNASTY, were seen with Ted Hanson. David Hart Smith says that Davey Richards would be sick of retaining the Tag Team Titles by technicalities? Smith says that he’s just jealous because Smith and Kidd continue to hold claim to the title belts. Smith says that Richards and Edwards can whine and moan all the want; he adds that their complaining got Peter Bradshaw to force a rematch tonight, in a steel cage. Smith says that The Wolves got their wish, and Natalya has been taken out of the picture; but that it wouldn’t change things when the bell rings. Tyson Kidd then adds that he hasn’t forgotten about what the Wolves had said to he and Smith; or what they’ve done to him personally, going after his injured neck. Kidd says that tonight, The Wolves and the people of Montreal, are going to see The Hart Dynasty like they’ve never seen them before. And, when things are all set and done, he and Smith will once again walk out with the Tag Team Titles. Also backstage, YOSHI TATSU is seen walking around, when he is approached by Alisha Hicks, who asks how he’s feeling as his match with Kaz nears. Tatsu says that he’s done enough talking over the past few weeks; and that he has answered every question possible. Tonight, Tatsu says that the biggest question of all will be answered; and that the true Yoshi Tatsu will be seen by all… [Tag Team Title - Cage Match]: The American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards) defeated The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) when D. Richards pinned T. Kidd with the DR Driver in 0:18:19. Rating: *** ¾ (The American Wolves won the HWL Tag Team Titles.)Both teams were introduced before the steel cage was lowered down. From the outside, Natalya could only watch as the door was locked shut and the bell rang. The only way to pick up a victory was via pinfall or submission, and both teams had a lot of animosity toward the other; stuck inside the cage they had no other option but to let it all come out. Both teams work very well together, and the showed that throughout the match, gathering a member of the opposing team into their respective corners and wearing them down. Soon, though, all four men found themselves in the ring, and the referee tried all he could to control it, but to no avail. He allowed the match to continue, focusing solely on Davey Richards and Tyson Kidd. Kidd sprang off the ropes, attempting a Springboard Clothesline, only to be caught in mid-air! Richards connected with the DR Driver, and as Edwards and Smith fought in the corner, the referee counted the 1-2-3! After the match, Edwards pushed Smith into Richards, who connected with another DR Driver, sending the crowd into a booing frenzy! The officials unlocked the cage, and Edwards and Richards exit as Natalya slides in behind them to check on Smith and Kidd. The Wolves are awarded the Tag Team Titles as the camera goes backstage… Backstage, KAZ is seen with Alisha Hicks, who asks him to respond to what his former tag team partner had to say earlier tonight. Kaz says that some answers have been questioned, but none of them have been as important as the one that he wants to ask Yoshi Tatsu personally. Kaz says he just wants to know why. He says that he wants to ask Tatsu that question, but that the answer doesn’t really matter anymore. Kaz says that Yoshi has made up his mind, and that there’s only one thing left to do. But, Kaz says that Yoshi is forgetting one thing about who he’s stepping into the ring with tonight: that Kaz has been there through all of Yoshi’s hardships. And if there’s anyone in the HWL who knows more about Yoshi’s weaknesses, it’s Kaz. He looks into the camera and Yoshi to “think about that” before walking away… Also, backstage, Ted Hanson is seen with “The Viper” RANDY ORTON. Ted asks Randy about his thoughts heading into tonight’s Triple Threat Match against Cody Rhodes and Abyss. Orton says that he’s not surprised that tonight is a Triple Threat Match; and that he wasn’t surprised almost a month ago, when Cody Rhodes started acting like a baby, demanding that he get a shot at Abyss. Orton says he feels comfortable in the Triple Threat format, because it seems to be the only way he gets a shot at the Heavyweight Title. Orton says that he came up short last time, at Wrestleocolypse, but that this time there’s a feeling in air that things are going to be much different. Orton knows that Rhodes wants to prove himself tonight, but that no one - not even Abyss - has more to prove then “The Viper”. He says he will not be satisfied until he pins Abyss’s shoulders to the canvas and walks out of Montreal as the new Heavyweight Champion. Yoshi Tatsu pinned Kaz with the Roundhouse Kick in 0:12:11. Rating: **** ¼This may have been the second most anticipated match-up of the evening, as these two men have been going after each other for nearly a month, and they certainly did not disappoint the crowd in Montreal. Tatsu and Kaz battled it out inside the ring and out; at one point Kaz connected with the Beach Break onto the concrete floor. But, it wasn’t enough to count out Tatsu as he slowly pulled himself back into the ring. The match continued for some time, with Kaz holding onto the advantage. Kaz hit Tatsu with the Wave of the Future and went for the cover, only to have Yoshi kick out at two-and-a-half! Shocked, Kaz pleaded to the referee that it was a three-count, giving Yoshi enough time to gain his bearings and get back to his feet. As Kaz turned around, Yoshi hit him with a Roundhouse Kick that sent Kaz down, motionless. Yoshi covered his former partner and the referee counted 1-2-3! After the match, the fans went crazy in shocked belief as Tatsu stood over Kaz’s body, staring at him. J.D. and Scott Michaels wondered if this was the “true self” that Tatsu had talked about earlier tonight… An advertisement for the next HWL pay-per-view, Justice is shown. The event will take place, live, from San Jose, California on July 24th! The video ends as CODY RHODES is seen backstage, with Ted Hanson. Rhodes says that he still understands the reasoning behind Randy Orton wanting to be in this match, but that Abyss didn’t take away something of Orton’s, like he did to Rhodes. He says that Abyss used his Golden Opportunity - within reason - to win the Heavyweight Title, Rhodes should have a fair shot at “The Monster”. But, because Orton can’t let the chips fall where they may, he has to weasel his way into the match. Rhodes says that he and Orton have history that dates back almost a year. Rhodes says that he hasn’t forgotten the wars he and Orton had gone through; and that tonight is going to be no different. He says that the only difference is, there’s one more person in the ring, and it’s for the biggest prize in the HWL. Rhodes tells Orton that he hopes the pressure isn’t too much for “The Viper” before walking away… Also backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with the Heavyweight Champion, ABYSS. Alisha says that the HWL fans haven’t heard much from “The Monster” since winning the Heavyweight Title last month; and that she was wondering what he had to say about tonight’s title defense. Abyss says that there’s nothing he can say verbally that will ever match what he’s going to say by the actions he takes tonight. He says that sitting back and watching Orton and Rhodes go back-and-forth has only made him relish taking advantage of the situation at Fully Loaded. He says that tonight, inside the ring, his actions will speak volumes. Abyss begins to laugh as the camera goes back to ringside… [Triple Threat Match for the Heavyweight Title]: Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton and AJ Styles when C. Rhodes defeated Styles by disqualification in 0:22:18. Rating: **** [Ric Flair interfered against Cody Rhodes.] (Abyss no-showed.)All of the great action of the evening had led up to this match. The crowd rocking as Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton were introduced to the crowd. They stood across the ring from each other as the lights in the arena went. Silence filled the air for what seemed an eternity until… “WOOOOO!” A spotlight shined onto the stage as RIC FLAIR, MR. ANDERSON, AJ STYLES and CHELSEA appeared on-stage. Flair said that there had been a change in plans, and that “The Monster” Abyss would not be defending his Heavyweight Title tonight. Flair says that, instead of having either Orton and Rhodes screwed out of the Heavyweight Title, he took the liberty of having both of them screwed over at the same time! Styles made his way down the ramp and into the ring as the lights came back on. Flair and Chelsea made their way down the ramp as the referee waited for instructions from the back. Finally, he signaled for the bell, as the crowed looked on in disbelief. When the match finally started, Rhodes and Orton seemed to have forgotten about their differences, and seemed intent on taking out Styles for ruining their chances of winning the Heavyweight Title. Styles eventually fought back, shoving Orton outside the ring as he and Rhodes went toe-to-toe. Orton entered the ring as the fight continued. The end of the match saw Orton connect with an RKO on Styles, before Rhodes connected with the Cross Rhodes on Orton! Rhodes went to the top rope, as J.D. and Scott Michaels wondered why he wouldn’t go for the pin, only to have Ric Flair jump onto the apron and push Rhodes to the concrete floor! The referee called for the bell, awarding the match to Cody Rhodes. After the match, Flair entered the ring and pulled Styles to safety as Mr. Anderson ran down to the ring. He and Flair carried Styles up the ramp as the referee went outside to check on Rhodes. Turning Point went off the air with a stunned-silent crowd looking on at the carnage in front of them… Card rating: ****

Thanks for the comments! And, yeah, I thought I'd give Canada some love, too.
Abyss's no-show shocked everyone, but I guess that happens some times...

Monday Night Anarchy June 27, 2011 Colisee Pepsi - Quebec City, Quebec, Canada Attendance: 7,238 (47%)
“In Flames” plays in the background as screenshots from last night’s Turning Point pay-per-view are shown on the screen. The final photo shows Ric Flair, AJ Styles, Mr. Anderson, Matt Morgan and Chelsea standing on the stage as Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton lay prone outside the ring and on the canvas, respectively.
“Headstrong” plays as fireworks shoot from the stage, lighting up the darkened arena. The camera pans the crowd as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone the first-ever HWL event held in Quebec City! Tonight, everyone is wondering how the most pressing question to come from last night’s pay-per-view will be answered: What happened to “The Monster” Abyss? J.D. announces that, tonight, Evan Bourne will face Steve Corino; and the Women’s Champion, Daffney - coming off an impressive victory last night - will face Brie Bella in non-title action.
“WOOOOO!” The commentary is interrupted as RIC FLAIR, AJ STYLES, MR. ANDERSON and CHELSEA make their way down the ramp. The crowd greets them with a roar of boos, that the quartet lets roll off their collective back. Inside the ring, Flair says that he and the others have been discussing a way to bring themselves back into the spotlight, because he could feel that the idiotic fans of the HWL were beginning to forget about them. Flair says that they did just that, last night, by having AJ Styles take the place of Abyss in the Triple Threat Match at Turning Point. Flair says that, even though Styles didn’t win the match, it was still memorable; and that ha hasn’t stopped hearing people talk about it since last night. But, he says that last night never would’ve happened without a little help. A video plays, from last night, showing Abyss making his way through the backstage area when he is attacked from behind by MATT MORGAN! Morgan takes out Abyss’s leg with the same steel pipe Morgan used on Kurt Angle last week, before laughing and leaving the scene. After the video is played, Flair tells the crowd to give a round of applause to “The Blueprint” MATT MORGAN.
Morgan makes his way down the ramp, dressed in a finely pressed suit, and enters the ring where he shakes hands with everyone in the ring. Morgan says that, just like the men and woman in the ring right now, he too had to do something that would keep him in the minds of the HWL fans. He says that Peter Bradshaw has forgotten about him - the first-ever HWL Heavyweight Champion - in recent months; and that he had to show that he would stop at nothing to make his way back to the top. Morgan says that he’s not doing this for himself only, but for Mr. Anderson and Styles, who have all been title contenders - especially AJ, who has been a two-time Heavyweight Champion - and who are now fighting their way through the garbage heap at the bottom of the ladder. Morgan says that last night was the night they all decided that enough was enough; and that they were going to make their futures happen, whether Peter Bradshaw approved of it or not.
This brought out PETER BRADSHAW, who came on-stage with the Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. Bradshaw says that the four of them were right. The HWL had forgotten about them. Bradshaw says that he remembers when AJ Styles was at the top, challenging Desmond Wolfe for the Heavyweight Title. He says the same for both Matt Morgan and Mr. Anderson, before stating that the worst thing that happened to the three of them was Wolfe leaving the company. Bradshaw says that the actions taken by Matt Morgan surely did get Bradshaw’s attention, but taking out their competition would not put them at the top so easily. Bradshaw says that, since Abyss was unable to defend the Heavyweight Title last night at Turning Point, he has officially been stripped of the title. He says that, tonight, an eight-man Tournament will begin to crowd the new Heavyweight Champion. Bradshaw looks at Morgan and says that he will be in the first match of the tournament, against someone who’s looking for payback, before introducing KURT ANGLE! In the ring, Morgan looked on in shock as Angle hobbled his way onto the stage. The two of them stared across the arena as Anarchy went to commercials…

[Non-Title Match]: Daffney pinned Brie Bella with the Lobotomy in 0:03:05. Rating: **
The Women’s Champion made quick work of Brie tonight, locking in a half Boston Crab, before connecting with the Lobotomy for the easy 1-2-3. After the match, Daffney left the ring, holding the title in the air as the Quebec crowd met her with boos.

[Heavyweight Title Tournament - Round One]: Kurt Angle made Matt Morgan submit to the Ankle Lock in 0:24:00. Rating: *** ½ [Cody Rhodes interfered against Matt Morgan.]
Matt Morgan made his way to the ring, still showing disbelief that his opponent would be the “Olympic Gold Medalist”. Morgan stood in the ring as Angle made his way out, limping on his injured leg, slowly getting into the ring as the referee called for the bell. Morgan wasted no time going after Angle’s leg, using any submission move he could think of to make the former champion tap out. Angle was able to fight back, but the damage had clearly been done to his leg, and he crumpled to the canvas in pain. Morgan brought Angle to his feet and connected with the Carbon Footprint. He went for the cover but Angle kicked out at two-and-a-half. Angle wisely rolled out of the ring as Morgan argued with the referee, gaining some measure of rest before “The Blueprint” realized what had happened. As Morgan came outside the ring, he was met with a low blow Angle, who shoved Morgan forward into the ring steps, opening up a small gash on Morgan’s head. Dazed, Morgan stumbled around the ring as Angle struggled to get to his feet, and as Angle limped around the corner, Morgan connected with a vicious clothesline! Morgan picked up Angle and whipped him into the guardrail, but Angle’s leg gave out on him, causing Angle to fall face-first into the steel railing, opening up a gash on HIS head, too. Morgan re-entered the ring and waited as Angle slowly got to his feet and rolled under the bottom rope before the referee’s ten-count. As Angle stood up, Morgan prepared to hit another Carbon Footprint, but from behind, CODY RHODES connected with a sickening chairshot to Morgan’s back! Morgan turned around as Rhodes jumped off the apron and ran through the crowd. Angle took the chance to roll into Morgan and locking in the Ankle Lock. Morgan tapped out as the crowd went crazy!
After the match, Cody Rhodes grabbed Angle and brought him to safety, assisting him up the ramp as Anarchy goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
Coming back from the break, an outside shot of the arena is shown, followed by photos from last night’s X-Division Title Match between Alex Shelley and Adam Cole. When the photos are finished, ALEX SHELLEY makes his way out to the ring, carrying the X-Division Title over his shoulder. In the ring, he stands as the crowd applauds his efforts last night in retaining the title. Shelley says that no one in the arena can fully understand what it’s like to walk out to the ring, knowing that they withstood the biggest thorn in their side and came out on top. He says that for months, Adam Cole had done nothing but run his mouth and have his friends help him retain the X-Division Title. Shelley admitted to being a little jealous of that at first, because his best friend in the industry left the company almost a year ago; and therefore has not been around to see Shelley win the Best of the Best battle royal, or headline Wrestleocolypse, or to see him put his body on the line last night in a Ladder Match, and still be able to stand here tonight as Champion.
Shelley is interrupted as EVAN BOURNE walks on-stage. Shelley watches as Bourne makes his way down to the ring and enters, grabbing his own microphone. Bourne says that he’s not here to cause any trouble, and that he didn’t want to interrupt what Shelley was saying. He says that he just wanted to come out and congratulate Shelley on his victory last night. Bourne says that he wishes he could sympathize with Shelley, and feel bad about the fact that his friend is no longer with the company, but says that it’s just hard for him to do. He says that he can’t do it, because he has never had a friend in the HWL; he’s never had anyone watching his back. Bourne says that every little thing he has gotten during his time here, he has gotten by himself. Bourne says that he has had to fight - week in and week out - to get noticed by the HWL brass, not to mention the HWL fans. He says that he’s not bitter, just happy to finally know that he is one step closer to getting his chance to prove that he belongs. Bourne says that he knows Shelley no longer has to worry about Adam Cole for as long as he’s Champion; but says that he and Shelley both know how great of match they’d give the fans if they stepped into the ring together at JUSTICE. Bourne leaves the ring as Shelley just stares at him; the crowd buzzing with anticipation.

[Tag Team Title Tournament - Semi-Final]: AJ Styles & Mr. Anderson defeated Colt Cabana & Derrick Bateman when Styles pinned Cabana after a Frankensteiner from the top rope in 0:14:23. Rating: *** ¼
Twenty-four hours after staging one of the biggest attacks since they joined forces, AJ Styles and Mr. Anderson stepped into the ring with the very impressive up-and-coming duo of Colt Cabana and Derrick Bateman. Cabana and Bateman jumped out to the early advantage, just minutes after the match started, as Cabana connected with the Colt .45 on Mr. Anderson outside the ring, on the concrete floor! Cabana rolled back into the ring as the referee started his ten-count, only to have Ric Flair assist Anderson to his feet and back inside the ring. The match continued with both teams showing some great offense; J.D. and Scott Michaels commented on the surprising fact that neither Flair nor Chelsea interfered in the match-up, after what they did last night during the Triple Threat Match at Turning Point. The end of the match saw Mr. Anderson connect with the Mic Check before setting Cabana on the top turnbuckle. Derrick Bateman came into the ring and attacked Anderson, throwing him to the outside. As Bateman turned around, Styles connected with a Pele kick before jumping onto the turnbuckle and hitting the top rope Frankensteiner! Styles made the cover as the referee counted the 1-2-3!
After the match, Styles left the ring as he, Flair and Chelsea helped Anderson to his feet and made their way up the ramp.

A preview for the up-coming pay-per-view event, Justice, is shown. The event will take place from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California, live, on July 24th! Who will be the new HWL Heavyweight Champion?
Evan Bourne pinned Steve Corino with the Shooting Star Press in 0:12:41. Rating: ** ¾
Earlier in the evening, Evan Bourne made his case to challenge for the X-Division Title at Justice. He was then given his chance to back his case up, as he stepped into the ring with Steve Corino, and that’s exactly what he did. Though it took fighting through some very painful moments that took place outside the ring - including getting thrown into both sets of steel rings steps and being hit with the Sliding Lariat onto the concrete floor - Bourne showed the crowd that it takes a lot more to make him stop. After finally battling back, Bourne was able to plant Corino with a spinning DDT, before jumping onto the turnbuckle and hitting the Shooting Star Press for an impressive victory.
Commercial Break
[Heavyweight Title Tournament - Round One]: Cody Rhodes defeated Jey Uso by disqualification in 0:08:35. Rating: ** ¼ [Tamina interfered against Cody Rhodes.]
Cody Rhodes had been a man to avoid since the events that happened at Turning Point took place. Last night was his chance to get retribution on the man who stole his Heavyweight Title at Fully Loaded. Instead, Rhodes was handed a victory - and a fall from the top rope to the concrete at ringside - by “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Tonight, Rhodes looked like a man possessed as he stepped into the ring with Jey Uso - who was just simply trying to survive in the tournament. Both men fought as hard as they could, and Uso managed to startle Rhodes with an aggressive array of offense during the match. In the end, though, as Rhodes ran into the ropes, Tamina reached in and tripped Rhodes, causing the referee to disqualify Uso and award the match to the former Heavyweight Champion.
After the match, Rhodes rolled out of the ring, shaking his head at having been the victim of another interference call. Inside the ring, Jey Uso fell to his knees, staring at Tamina, and asking her Why. Tamina turned away from the ring, embarrassed by the mistake she had made, as Uso fell to his elbows while J.D. and Scott Michaels thanked everyone for watching. Anarchy goes off the air…

- I guess you've got to explain Abyss not showing up somehow. Too bad he had to be stripped of the title, but hey, a tournmaent always works well as an angle to set-up and re-ignite feuds. - Don't boo Daffney! She's hot! - Poor Matt Morgan. Gets in w/ Flair and friends to get back into the title hunt and he had to face Angle. Oh, and look, Cody ain't too happy with him either. - Shelley/Bourne! Easy four star match hopefully. - Oh right, the tag titles are vacant too. Jesus man, get a hold of your titles. But yeah, I'm stunned the comedy team didn't beat two of your top heels. - Quasi-squash for Bourne. - Weird main event. Understandable why it had to be last, but I don't think Jey Uso's a rating's powerhouse. All in all, solid first show to set-up the road to Justice.

Monday Night Anarchy July 4, 2011 Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Center - Birmingham, Alabama Attendance: 9,576 (57%)
Highlights from last week’s show are shown. The camera goes inside the arena as “Headstrong” plays, and fireworks shoot through the darkness. As the lights come up, the crowd goes crazy, and Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Birmingham for this special 4th of July edition of Monday Night Anarchy. Last week, Kurt Angle and Cody Rhodes both moved one step closer to main-eventing Justice as they advanced to the second round of the Heavyweight Title tournament. Tonight, we will find out who their opponents will be as Mr. Anderson takes on David Hart Smith, and AJ Styles takes on “The Viper” Randy Orton…
MATT MORGAN’S music begins to play as he comes out to the ring, followed by Anderson, Styles, Ric Flair and Chelsea. The crowd greets them with a round of boos, and J.D. comments that after not hearing much from them for the past several months, after what took place at Turning Point, these five have generated a lot of hatred from the fans. Inside the ring, Morgan takes a microphone and says that he’s sure everyone is very happy to have seen him lose last week to Kurt Angle. (Crowd cheers and begins and “Angle! Angle!” chant) Morgan says that the crowd can chant for Angle all they want to, but he’s not out here to talk about “The Olympic Gold Medalist”. Morgan says that last week, he was made out to look like a fool because Cody Rhodes came down to the ring and cracked Morgan in the back with a steel chair. (Crowd cheers) Morgan says that he thinks it’s cute that Rhodes was trying to get him back for what happened at Turning Point, and says that Rhodes should be proud of himself; but to also consider himself very lucky. Morgan says that by helping Angle win last week, Rhodes made sure that he and Morgan didn’t face off against each other at some point during the tournament - most likely at Justice, for the Heavyweight Title. Morgan says that Rhodes’s actions saved him a little bit of time, but that at some point very soon, Rhodes will pay for what he’s done. Morgan then looks into the camera and wishes Cody good luck next week. Morgan drops the microphone as the five of them leave the ring, making their way up the ramp, as Anarchy goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
[6-Vixen Tag Team Battle Royal]: Brie Bella & Daffney won a 3-Team Battle Royal: X Natalya threw out V. Sky (partner: Nikki Bella) in 0:00:52. X Daffney threw out Natalya (partner: Maryse) in 0:04:58. Rating: ** ¼
The night started off with Peter Bradshaw’s celebration of the 4th of July, with a three-team bikini battle royal. Natalya and Maryse made their way to the ring first. The crowd began to buzz as Natalya came out in her normal ring attire. Inside the ring, she says that he doesn’t care of Maryse wants to show off her body, but that she does not want to be know for her physical attributes, but rather for what she can do inside the ring. The crowd booed as she and Nikki awaited their opponents. Velvet Sky and Nikki Bella came to the ring, followed by Brie Bella and the Women’s Champion, who was dressed in a 1930’s era bathing suit, which caused the crowd to come alive again. When the match started, Natalya wasted no time eliminating Velvet Sky, also eliminating Nikki Bella. Natalya, Maryse, Brie and Daffney continue to battle it out inside the ring until Daffney tossed Natalya over the top rope, picking up the victory for her team.
After the match, Natalya slammed her hands against the mat as she stared at Daffney, who was celebrating inside the ring, along with Brie Bella. J.D. and Scott Michaels both comment on the chosen attire of the Women’s Champion as Anarchy goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
Coming back from the break, DAFFNEY and BRIE BELLA are seen making their way backstage, when they are approached by VELVET SKY. Sky tells Brie to get lost before confronted Daffney. Velvet says that she doesn’t know what Daffney is trying to do, but that she defiling the Women’s Title. She says that she feels better for the title belt, because it has to be up against Daffney’s “disgusting” body every single week. Velvet says that she is a much more deserving champion, and that she is forgetting everything she said about not wanting to face Daffney again. Velvet says that she wants a shot at the Women’s Title at Justice. Velvet walks away as Daffney smiles sadistically into the camera…
[Heavyweight Title Tournament - Round One]: Mr. Anderson defeated David Hart Smith by disqualification in 0:00:40. Rating: * [Natalya interfered against Mr. Anderson.]
David Hart Smith had his second chance to advance in a Heavyweight Title tournament tonight, since coming up short in the first-ever Wicked Games event last fall. Tonight, his undoing came at the hands of his cousin, Natalya, who wasted no time by tripping Mr. Anderson seconds after the bell rang. Anderson was awarded the victory, as Smith crumpled into the corner, looking at Natalya, who could do nothing but stare back at Smith. Anderson rolled out of the ring, laughing, as he met up with Ric Flair, AJ Styles, Matt Morgan and Chelsea on the ramp to celebrate his victory. J.D. reminds fans that, next week, Mr. Anderson will step into the ring against Cody Rhodes - one of the men they screwed out of the Heavyweight Title at Turning Point.
Commercial Break
As Anarchy returns, AJ STYLES, MR. ANDERSON, RIC FLAIR, MATT MORGAN, and CHELSEA make their way down to the ring, for the second time tonight, much to the chagrin of the crowd. Anderson grabs the microphone and says that tonight is going to be a great night for everyone inside the ring. He says that he and Styles are one step closer to becoming Tag Team Champions for the first time. Anderson says that he doesn’t really care which team he and Styles have to face at Justice, because nothing can stop the ride they’ve been on since Turning Point. He says that, on top of being one match away from becoming Tag Team Champions, he is one step closer for challenging for the Heavyweight Title at Justice. He says that AJ will be one step closer to the goal as well, after beating Randy Orton later tonight.
Styles gets on the mic and says that he knows that Randy Orton is fuming about what happened at Turning Point. But, he says, that he can really only be mad at himself and Cody Rhodes, because they both had the chance to take Abyss out; but neither of them could do it. Styles says that Orton is angry because Styles, Anderson and Matt Morgan did something he couldn’t do. Styles says that, tonight, he will do something else that Orton can’t: advance to the next round of the Heavyweight Title tournament; and eventually become Heavyweight Champion for the third time! Styles dropped the microphone as the crowd filled the arena with boos. The group left the ring as J.D. announced that, coming up next, Colt Cabana and Derrick Bateman would be in tag team action.
Commercial Break
Colt Cabana & Derrick Bateman defeated Chris Hero and David Otunga when D. Bateman defeated Hero by disqualification in 0:11:29. Rating: * ½ [Shane Hagadorn interfered against Derrick Bateman.]
The fans in Birmingham were introduced to two new members of the HWL roster tonight, as Chris Hero and David Otunga made the jump up from Premiere Championship Wrestling, teaming up to take on Cabana and Bateman. Hero and Otunga had a very strong showing in this match, as neither of them appeared weary of taking the fight to the HWL veterans. During the match, Otunga connected with The Verdict onto the concrete floor on Cabana, essentially taking out of the match. Shane Hag adorn - Chris Hero’s manager - became involved in the match, as he picked up Cabana and rolled him back into the ring. As Otunga went for the cover, Bateman broke it up, evening out the match. Eventually Cabana made the tag into Bateman, but moments later, Hagadorn interfered, tripping Bateman, disqualifying his charges.
After the match, Hero and Otunga entered the ring and attacked Bateman as Hagadorn distracted Cabana. Cabana knocked Hagadorn to the ground, before sliding into the ring, sending Hero and Otunga running through the ropes. Cabana stood over Bateman, as Hero, Otunga and Hagadorn made their way up the ramp with the crowd booing them.
Commercial Break
As Anarchy comes back, JEY USO is seen sitting in the locker room, his head in his hands. Tamina comes into view and says that she’s sorry for what happened last week, and that Jey knows she’d never do anything to keep him from succeeding. Uso says that’s exactly what Tamina did; and it cost him a shot at the Heavyweight Title. He said that last week could’ve been his only chance to get anywhere close to holding the top belt in the HWL, and because of her interference, the chance blew up in his face. He says that, since Day One, they have been claiming that they were going to do their families proud, and continue to honor their careers through their own. Now, Uso tells Tamina, that there’s no one to blame but her. Uso gets up from his chair and walks out of the locker room as Tamina looks on, fighting back tears…
[Non-Title Match]: Alex Shelley defeated Tyson Kidd by disqualification in 0:10:26. Rating: ** ¾ [Natalya interfered against Alex Shelley.]
A week after watching Evan Bourne pick up a successful victory, the X-Division Champion came out hoping to match that result as he took on Tyson Kidd. With Natalya at ringside, Shelley found himself worrying about two things, and for good reason. During the match, Natalya interfered for the second time tonight - pulling down the top rope and sending Shelley crashing onto the concrete floor - allowing Kidd to take advantage. Kidd continued to work over the champion’s lower back, but was unable to put Shelley away with any submission move. With his mat skills not working, Kidd went to the air, and connected with the Springboard Clothesline, pinning Shelley. But, Shelley was able to kick out at two-and-a-half! This sent Kidd into a frenzy, and he grabbed the referee, tossing him outside the ring, and attacking Shelley as the crowd went crazy! The referee slowly got to his feet and called for the bell, disqualifying Kidd.
After the match, as Kidd continued to attack Shelley, EVAN BOURNE ran from the back and cleared the ring. The crowd cheered for Bourne, who checked on Shelley, as Kidd and Natalya made their way back up the ramp.
Commercial Break
[Heavyweight Title Tournament - Round One]: Randy Orton defeated AJ Styles by countout in 0:06:47. Rating: ** ¼
Tonight’s main event saw AJ Styles stepping into the ring with Randy Orton for the second time in as many weeks, after taking the place of “The Monster” Abyss at Turning Point. Styles came out to the ring with Ric Flair and Chelsea, but the referee made a stern point that any interference would cause Styles to lose the match, so for the duration of the match, both Flair and Chelsea stood near the announce table. All they could do was stand and watch as Styles connected the Pele kick, sending Orton outside the ring. Styles looked to Flair for praise, wasting time, and allowing Orton to get to his feet on the concrete. Styles turned around and attempted a spinning plancha onto Orton, but Orton moved out of the way, and Styles crashed down hard onto his midsection. Styles appeared to not have been able to block the blow, as his head was busted open upon hitting the concrete. Orton rolled back into the ring as the referee counted Styles out.
After the match, Orton turned to look at Flair and Chelsea, as they both had looks of shock on their faces. Orton then left the ring as Flair and Chelsea mad e their way around the ring to check on Styles. Anarchy went off the air as the medical staff made their way down the ramp.
Card rating: **
HWL Newsline:
- After the events that took place two weeks ago, during the Heavyweight Title tournament, and the confrontation with manager Tamina earlier in the show, JEY USO has told Peter Bradshaw that he is leaving the HWL. Asked for a statement as he was leaving the arena tonight, Uso said that he had sat back and quietly let Bradshaw look over him, giving less deserving people a chance to prove themselves. He said the last draw was being put in the Heavyweight Title tournament and having someone he considered a friend screw him out of the chance of a lifetime. Uso said that he should’ve seen the signs when his brother left the company months ago, but that he was holding out hope that things would be different for him. Peter Bradshaw and the rest of the HWL wish Mr. Uso the best in his future endeavors.

- Good opening promo setting up Morgan/Cody for the PPV most likely and putting over ole' Matt as a top-line heel. - Ah, Daffney. Show us your boobs already. - Oops. In RL, I guess that's be a botched finish. But hey, Anderson was going to win anyway. Still, makes Natalya look sort of like an idiot. - Backstage before the next promo - "Styles, Flair, Morgan, get out there and kill some time!" - Sort of low-card tag team action, but good little win for Bateman & Cabana. From the attack, it looks like this feud will continue. - DRAMA! Will Jey Uso get attack by Sim Snuka next week! TUNE IN TO FIND OUT! - Well, I guess Kidd went a little nuts. The Shelley-Bourne mutual admiration society continues. I'm assuming somebody is turning heel at the PPV, but that's my natural cynicism bleeding through. - Orton survives! Well, he's kind of your top face, so I guess that had to happen. Orton/Angle for the final maybe? - I guess Jey Uso left Tamina. Bring in Sim! Bring in Sim! - Solid TV show as usual. Good work, man.

Tonight, it is announced that the finals for both the Tag Team and Heavyweight Title tournaments will be finalized in three big matches. Who will face off for the Heavyweight Title at Justice; and who will face AJ Styles and Mr. Anderson for the vacant Tag Team Titles? Backstage, KURT ANGLE is seen getting ready for his match, when he is approached by RANDY ORTON. The two men get face to face with each other as Orton says that they have had a lot of history of the past few months, and that, once again, it comes down to them to decide who will have a chance to be Heavyweight Champion. Orton tells Angle that he may’ve gotten lucky the last time they stepped into the ring, but that Angle’s luck is about to change. Angle smiles and says that, if anyone needs luck it’s going to Orton. But, he says that Orton ran out of luck last week, when he beat AJ Styles. Angle pats Orton on the arm and walks away as the Anarchy goes to commercials. Commercial BreakBrie Bella pinned Maryse with the Sitout Facebuster in 0:09:10. Rating: *Good opening match from these two Vixen’s. With the situation brewing between Velvet Sky and Women’s Champion, Daffney, the rest of the Vixens roster has gone roughly unnoticed lately. This was a good back-and-forth match, that saw Brie connect with the Sitout Facebuster to pick up the victory. Commercial BreakReturning from the break, Alisha Hicks is seen backstage with CHRIS HERO, DAVID OTUNGA and their manager Shane Hagadorn. Alisha welcomes them to the HWL, and says that they probably aren’t too pleased with how their first match ended last week. Chris Hero says they’re not happy about the loss, but that they’re OK with it. He says that neither Colt Cabana nor Derrick Bateman pinned he and Otunga, or made either of them submit. Hero says that if Shane had not gotten busted for tripping Bateman, the ending of that match might be a little bit different. David Otunga then asks whether Cabana or Bateman are upset about not being put on the card for Justice. He says that they should pay attention to what he and Hero are saying, because at Justice, everyone will find out of there will be a different outcome to their match. Otunga says that they are challenging Cabana and Bateman to a rematch, before walking away, as the camera goes back to ringside. [Heavyweight Title Tournament - Semi Final]: Kurt Angle pinned Randy Orton after a flying forearm in 0:08:35. Rating: *** ½These two have had quite an interesting past over the last few months, and tonight, this rivalry was renewed as both men knew the stakes would be high. The winner of this match would go to Justice to take on either Cody Rhodes or Mr. Anderson for the vacant Heavyweight Title. Early on it looked as if both men would be counted out, as they did battle outside the ring, but smartly, they re-entered the ring to continue the match. Orton was unable to get a lot of momentum as Angle used his mat-wrestling skills to keep “The Viper” off his feet. The end of the match saw Orton reverse and Irish whip and Angle duck a clothesline attempt. Coming off the opposite ropes, Angle connected with a flying forearm and quickly covered Orton, grabbing a handful of tights in the process! The referee counted to three and awarded Angle the match. After the match, Angle rolled out of the ring, laughing as Orton stood on all fours, in the center of the ring, glaring at “The Olympic Gold Medalist”. Orton gets to his feet and turns his attention to the referee, as the crowd’s anticipation grows. As the referee turns around, Orton connects with an RKO before rolling under the bottom rope as his music plays. Orton stands outside the ring, staring at his damage as Anarchy goes to commercials. Commercial BreakBackstage, DAVID HART SMITH and TYSON KIDD are seen discussing something backstage, when they are approached by NATALYA. She says she wants to apologize to Tyson for last week, but before she can continue, she’s interrupted by Smith, who says that neither of them want to hear her apology. Kidd said that Natalya knows how hard he’s been trying to make a name for himself in the singles ranks. He said he hasn’t gotten any closer to getting where he wants to be, and blames her for it. He says that things could be much different if she would’ve stopped trying to “help” by interfering. Natalya tries to interject as Kidd walks away, but stops as Smith stands between them. Smith says that he and Kidd have one more shot at getting a Tag Team Title match tonight. He says that he doesn’t want Natalya anywhere near the ring, and if she costs them this match, there will be hell to pay. Smith walks off to join Kidd, while Natalya looks on, with a mixture of emotions showing on her face, as Anarchy goes to commercials. Commercial Break[Tag Team Title Match - Semi-Final]: Skip Sheffield & Rob Terry defeated The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) when Sheffield pinned D.H. Smith with the Running Clothesline in 0:10:40. Rating: *** ½Tonight, the crowd in Lexington would find out which of these two teams would be traveling to San Jose to take on AJ Styles and Mr. Anderson for the vacant Tag Team Titles at Justice. In a running theme throughout the night, these two teams were in the heart of a heated war of words earlier in the year, that saw Sheffield and Terry defeat The Hart Dynasty for the Tag Team Titles at Wrestleocolypse. Also, tonight, Smith and Kidd made their first appearance without Natalya by their side in some time, so they were forced to use their wrestling ability to gain a victory. The former champions looked impressive early on, but Sheffield and Terry proved too much for them as Sheffield pinned Smith after a Running Clothesline. Kidd tried to enter the ring to break up the three-count, but NATALYA showed up at ringside, grabbing Kidd’s leg! Kidd watched as the referee counted to three, and awarded the match to Sheffield and Terry! After the match, Natalya left ringside to a mixed reaction from the crowd as Kidd watched - stunned - from the apron. J.D. and Scott Michaels wondered why Natalya would cost her own family a chance at the titles next Sunday night… Commercial BreakA preview for HWL’s up-coming pay-per-view event, Justice, is shown. As “In Waves” by Trivium plays, it is announced that the vacant Heavyweight Title will decided; Skip Sheffield and Rob Terry will take on AJ Styles and Mr. Anderson for the HWL Tag Team Titles; Velvet Sky will face Daffney for the Women’s Title; Colt Caban and Derrick Bateman will face Chris Hero and David Otunga; and Evan Bourne will challenge Alex Shelley for the X-Division Title. Justice will be LIVE, Sunday, July 24th, from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California! Backstage, VELVET SKY is seen walking through the hallways, talking on her cell phone, when she is attacked from behind by Women’s Champion, DAFFNEY. Daffney pushes Velvet to the ground before getting on top of her and pummeling her with rights and lefts. Daffney gets off of Velvet, and grabs something out of her skirt, before smearing black paint all over Velvet’s face! Daffney laughs and says that she will expose Velvet as the ugly person she really is. Daffney walks away as the camera closes up on Velvet’s face before going back to the ring. Evan Bourne pinned Yoshi Tatsu after a crucifix in 0:09:41. Rating: *** X-Division Champion Alex Shelley came down to ringside for commentary during this match tonight. Shelley said that there is no tension between himself and Evan Bourne, and that their match at Justice will simply be to see who is the better X-Division wrestler, and to see who deserves the right to be champion. Tonight’s match went back and forth as Bourne was trying to continue his winning ways, as he stepped into the ring against a newer version of Yoshi Tatsu. After coming off his victory against Kaz at Turning Point, Tatsu had laid low. Tonight, he had his chance to upend the number one contender, and almost had Bourne pinned after a dropkick, followed up by an inside cradle. But, Bourne was able to kick out at two. Tatsu then attempted a clothesline, which Bourne reversed into a crucifix for an unorthodox victory. After the match, Bourne celebrated the victory inside the ring, as Tatsu quickly got to his feet. As Bourne jumped off the turnbuckle, Tatsu connected with a spinning heel kick that sent Bourne to the canvas! Tatsu jumped on Bourne and began assaulting him, as Alex Shelley jumped up from the announce table and slid into the ring, breaking up the attack! Shelley and Tatsu brawled inside the ring, until Shelley clotheslined Tatsu over the top rope! Shelley stood in the center of the ring as Tatsu stood up and made his way up the ramp. The crowd was buzzing as Anarchy went to commercials… Commercial Break[Heavyweight Title Tournament - Semi Final]: Cody Rhodes pinned Mr. Anderson after a moonsault body block in 0:11:33. Rating: ** ¾Cody Rhodes was given a chance to face off with one of the people responsible for him losing out on his chance to become a two-time Heavyweight Champion tonight; and Mr. Anderson was looking for the chance to challenge for two separate titles at Justice. Rhodes came out with a different game plan tonight, using a variety of headlocks and submission moves to wear down his slightly larger opponent, but Anderson was able to fight back, after pushing Rhodes hard into the turnbuckle, escaping a sleeper hold. Anderson then jumped onto the attack, using his strength advantage to even the score. The end of the match saw Anderson whip Rhodes into the corner, only to have Rhodes jump onto the second turnbuckle and connect with a moonsault body block, covering Anderson for the 1-2-3! After the match, as Rhodes celebrated his victory, KURT ANGLE made his way down to the ring. Angle entered the ring, and he and Rhodes stared down each other, as J.D. announced that at Justice, they would be facing off in a rematch from the Fully Loaded pay-per-view. Anarchy went off the air as the two men continued to stand inside the ring. Card rating: ***HWL Newsline:David Hart Smith has opted to not re-sign with the company Peter Bradshaw and the rest of the HWL wish Mr. Smith the best in his future endeavors. Monday Night Anarchy July 18, 2011 Jobing.com Arena - Glendale, Arizona Attendance: 15,479 (86%) Highlights from last week’s Anarchy are shown including: Kurt Angle’s victory over Randy Orton; Skip Sheffield and Rob Terry’s victor over The Hart Dynast; Cody Rhodes’s victory over Mr. Anderson; and the confrontation between Rhodes and Angle as the show went off the air. “Headstrong” hits as fireworks shoot from the stage. The lights come back on as J.D. and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Glendale for the final Anarchy before Justice. In just six days the Tag Team Titles and the Heavyweight Title will have new owners, along with three other great matches. In tonight’s action, Colt Cabana will face Kaz, Derrick Bateman will face Tyson Kidd, and Eddie Edwards will step into the ring against “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan. PETER BRADSHAW is introduced, and he makes his way to the stage, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. Once he enters the ring, and grabs a microphone, he asks the crowd if they’re ready for Justice this Sunday night. Bradshaw says that there is going to be plenty of action taking place inside this ring in just six days, at Justice, but he says that he wants to give the people of Glendale a taste of what’s to come. He says that since it’s the HWL’s first-ever visit to Glendale, he feels they deserve something special. Bradshaw then announces that the main event tonight, that will take place in this very ring, will be an eight-man tag team elimination match! Bradshaw announces the teams as AJ Styles, Mr. Anderson, Evan Bourne and Kurt Angle taking on Skip Sheffield, Rob Terry, Alex Shelley and Cody Rhodes. Bradshaw thanks the fans for their time, and says he hopes they enjoy the show. As he leaves the ring, J.D. and Scott Michael talk about how huge tonight’s main event will be, and wonder what implications it will have on the matches this Sunday night. Commercial BreakHWL Women’s Champion, DAFFNEY, makes his way to the ring as Anarchy returns. The crowd boos her as she gets into the ring and grabs a microphone. She says that they can boo her all she wants to, but that she is the only one that knows the truth about everyone’s little beauty, Velvet Sky. Daffney says, last week, she publicly made Velvet Sky look as ugly as she does behind the scenes, when the cameras aren’t rolling. Daffney says that she, herself, has never been one to enjoy public appearances, but that it pales in comparison to what Velvet Sky thinks about them. She says that she can count a number of times when Velvet would say that she hates being touched and grabbed by the people who pay to see her, because they are disgusting and don’t deserve to be anywhere near her. Daffney says that Velvet complains all the time about having to do appearances, and having her picture taken with fans, because she finds it to be a waste of her time. All the while, Daffney says, Velvet will fake a smile and pose for those pictures. But when it’s all over, Velvet is the first one into the locker room to clean herself off. Daffney says that the fans can take what she says and believe or not, because they will never hear the truth from Velvet herself. Daffney then leaves the ring, and joins J.D. and Scott Michaels at ringside as they await introductions. Velvet Sky pinned Nikki Bella with the Beauty Mark in 0:05:10. Rating: * ¼Velvet Sky got a good reaction as she was introduced tonight, even after what Daffney had to say about her. Six days away from facing “The Demonic Princess” for the Women’s Title, Velvet stepped into the ring with the hometown-favorite, Nikki Bella. Nikki showed a lot of strong offense tonight, picking up a couple of near falls throughout the match. But, the tide turned when Velvet brought Nikki down by her hair and would not allow her to gain her footing. Velvet hit the Beauty Mark to pick up the 1-2-3. After the match, Daffney stood up from the announce table, and slid into the ring behind Velvet. Daffney attempted to hit Velvet with the Women’s Title, but Velvet landed a kick to the midsection. Velvet then pulled Daffney down to the canvas, by her hair, and began to land rights and lefts onto the champion. The referee pulled Velvet off of Daffney, and Velvet rolled outside the ring, where she began to celebrated with the crowd. Velvet jumped over the barricade and began to high-five members of the crowd as J.D. and Scott Michaels talk about this moment being something they would never have expected from Velvet. Anarchy goes to commercials as Velvet makes her way through the crowd. Commercial BreakComing back from the break, Nikki Bella is making her way through the hallways, when she is consoled by her sister BRIE. Brie says that Nikki gave it her best shot and shouldn’t be upset about the way the match ended. Brie sent Nikki on her way as Alisha Hicks congratulating Brie on her victory last week over Maryse. Brie says that it was great to pick up the victory last week, but that that’s more interested on shaking things up in the Women’s division. She said that, ever since returning a few weeks ago, all she has heard about was Natalya, Velvet Sky and Daffney. Brie reminds everyone that she was a one-time Women’s Champion; and that she’s not going to be content with watching her chances pass her by. Colt Cabana defeated Kaz by disqualification in 0:08:22. Rating: ** ¾ [Chris Hero interfered against Colt Cabana.]Kaz made his return to the ring tonight, after his hiatus from Turning Point, and he looked ready to get back on the right foot. Colt Cabana came into this match looking to gain some momentum heading into his match with Derrick Bateman as they take on Chris Hero and David Otunga this Sunday night. This was a back-and-forth match that had the crowd’s interest the entire time. During the match, CHRIS HERO and DAVID OTUNGA made their way to ringside, doing their best to distract Colt. When their tactics didn’t work, Otunga distracted the referee while Hero threw in a pair of brass knuckles that Kaz used on Cabana! Kaz went for the cover, but Colt was able to kick out at two! Shocked, all Hero and Otunga could do was watch, as Colt slowly made his way back into the match, before finally hitting a dropkick before covering Kaz. But, before the referee could count the pinfall, Hero slid into the ring and attack Colt, forcing the referee to call for the bell. After the match, Otunga entered the ring as he and Hero continued to attacked Colt, until DERRICK BATEMAN run down from the back and broke up the fight. Bateman ducked an Otunga clothesline, and got back to his feet and connected with a forearm to Otunga’s back. Cabana and Bateman easily tossed Otunga over the top rope, as the crowd cheered wildly. Cabana and Bateman stared on as Hero and Otunga made their way up the ramp, vowing that they Cabana and Bateman would get their’s this Sunday night, as Anarchy went to commercials. Commercial BreakKurt Angle’s music hits as the Olympic Gold Medalist makes his way out to the ring, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. Angle gets into the ring, grabbing a microphone, and tries to look composed while trying to fight back a smile. Angle says that he and Randy Orton have fought each other so often, inside the ring, that he has forgotten how many times it’s been. He says that they have both share their victories over the other, but that one of his sweetest victories over Orton was the one that took place last week; the victory that will send Angle into the main event this Sunday night, at Justice, for the Heavyweight Title. Angle says that the only victory that would be sweeter, is the one he will taste after making Cody Rhodes tap out on Sunday night. Angle says that it’s time to right the wrongs that took place at Fully Loaded, and even the score with Rhodes… Then, Randy Orton appears on-screen, from his home in St. Louis, where he interrupts Angle. Orton says that Angle is out, running his mouth, because he knows Orton isn’t in the arena tonight - and won’t be for the next couple weeks. Orton says that Angle can gloat about beating Orton last week, and how he’s in the main event this Sunday, but that Angle, Orton, and everyone else knows that Angle got away with a tainted victory. Orton says that Angle knows “The Viper” has his number, and because of that, Angle stopped at nothing to make sure he came out as the winner last week. He says that, if he was allowed to resume normal activity, Orton would be in the middle of that ring, begging Angle to say everything to his face. Orton tells Angle that he can have his fun, and go into Justice this Sunday night; but that Angle should know that things between them are not over. The video feed goes away as Angle stands in the center of the ring. Anarchy goes to commercials. Commercial BreakAlisha Hicks is seen with Natalya as Anarchy returns. Alisha says that, coming up next, Tyson Kidd will face Derrick Bateman in singles action. She then asks Natalya how she’s coping with the events that took place last week between herself, Kidd and David Hart Smith. Natalya asks Alisha how she’d feel if she was told by a member of her family that they didn’t want to seem her anymore. She says that the three of them had been through a lot to get to the HWL, and that she will always be a part of the most dominant Tag Team Champions the company has ever seen. But, Natalya says that she’s not going to dwell on the past too much, because she’s going to turn her attention to her own goals. She says that she has already been the most dominant Women’s Champion in the HWL, so maybe it’s time to look for something bigger than that. Natalya walks away, leaving Alisha alone in front of the camera. Derrick Bateman pinned Tyson Kidd with the Man-Tastic in 0:09:24. Rating: ** ¾Tyson Kidd came out strong at the beginning of this match, apparently free from the concerns of having Natalya at ringside, and had Bateman wheeling. Kidd continued the offensive, hitting a dropkick and going for the quick cover, only getting a two-count. Bateman was able to fight his way back, into the match, hitting a clothesline. He followed that up with a body slam and quick elbow drop. Bateman went for the cover, but only got a two-count himself. Bateman then whipped Kidd into the ropes and brought him down with a massive back body drop that caused Kidd to roll out of the ring, holding his back. Kidd used the time to get a breather, getting back into the ring at six, but he quickly fell victim to a very stiff clothesline by Bateman. Bateman then picked up Kidd and connected with the Man-Tastic, picking up the 1-2-3. Commercial BreakReturning back from the break, Ted Hanson is standing backstage with Evan Bourne and HWL X-Division Champion, Alex Shelley. Hanson mentions that both men will be on opposite sides in tonight’s eight-man tag match, and that this Sunday night, they will face off for the X-Division Title. Hanson asks Alex Shelley about both men wanting to keep their distance from each other until tonight and Justice. Shelley says that he and Bourne have been in this business for a long time, and that they’ve traveled around the world doing what they love more than anything. He says that, over that time, Shelley and Bourne have only squared off a handful of times, but that Shelley’s opinion, his best matches were when Evan Bourne was standing across the ring from him. Shelley says that he has spent a lot of time, racking his brain, and has only come up with the fact that throughout his career, he is only one-and-one against Evan Bourne. Shelley says that, this Sunday night, would be a perfect career “rubber match” for them; and it doesn’t get better than having the X-Division Title on the line at Justice. Hanson then asks Bourne how he feels about getting his chance to challenge for the X-Division Title in just six days. Bourne says that he agrees with Shelley, and that they have shared a number of moments together - mostly as enemies - so it’s only fitting that Alex Shelley be the man he faces for the X-Division Title this Sunday night. Bourne says that he has worked his ass off, since Day One, to get a shot at the title belt, and that his effort has gotten him what he wanted. But, he says, that he wouldn’t be happy until he wins the X-Division Title. Bourne says that he respects Shelley, and that he has done everything he’s needed to do to earn the right to be called a champion, but that Bourne will do whatever he needs to do to walk out of Justice with the belt around his waist. Matt Morgan pinned Eddie Edwards with the Carbon Footprint in 0:08:58. Rating: ** ½ (Ric Flair interfered against Eddie Edwards.)Matt Morgan came down to the ring with “The Nature Boy” and Chelsea, tonight, looking to take down one-half of the former Tag Team Champions, in Eddie Edwards. Morgan had the upper hand in the early part of the match, as Flair tripped Edwards, putting a stop to the offense that Edwards had began garnering. Morgan used the distraction to pick up the advantage, and The Blueprint used his size and strength advantage to pummel Edwards. The end of the match saw a close call for both men, as they took each other down with a double clothesline, that brought the crowd to their feet. Morgan was able to get to his feet first, at the count of seven, and waited as Edwards did the same. When Edwards turned around, he was met with a Carbon Footprint that allowed Morgan to make an easy cover for the victory. Commercial BreakThe final preview for Justice is shown as “In Waves” plays in the background. All five matches are announced, including the match for the vacant Heavyweight Title between Cody Rhodes and Kurt Angle. Justice will take place, this Sunday night, from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. [8-Man Elimination Match]: AJ Styles, Mr. Anderson, Evan Bourne and Kurt Angle beat Skip Sheffield, Rob Terry, Alex Shelley and Cody Rhodes 4 falls to 3: X K. Angle beat A. Shelley via the Ankle Lock in 0:10:29. X R. Terry beat Styles via disqualification in 0:12:33. X E. Bourne beat R. Terry via the Shooting Star Press in 0:14:44. X Sheffield beat E. Bourne via the Running Clothesline in 0:15:27. X Anderson beat Sheffield via the Mic Check in 0:20:50. X C. Rhodes and K. Angle battled to a double countout in 0:26:53. Survivors: Mr. Anderson Rating: *** [Chelsea interfered against Rob Terry.]Eight men, who will all be vying for championship gold this Sunday night, stepped into the ring tonight for the biggest main event in Monday Night Anarchy history. The crowd was excited throughout the whole match, as the action never seemed to slow down. Both teams tried to wear the other down, because all signs pointed to this match being a long one. The Olympic Gold Medalist picked up the first elimination as he made Alex Shelley tap out to the Ankle Lock. The match continued with Big Rob and AJ Styles. Terry connected with the Freak Buster and went for the cover, only to have Chelsea put Styles’s leg on the bottom rope. The referee saw the move and quickly disqualified Styles, evening the teams up. The next eliminations came in quick succession as Evan Bourne entered the ring and connected with a reverse neck breaker on Rob Terrry before hitting the Shooting Star Press for a huge elimination! Bourne got to his feet, as Skip Sheffield entered the ring, wanting retribution for his partner’s elimination. Sheffield rolled under Bourne’s springboard cross body block attempt, and hit a vicious Running Clothesline to eliminate the high flyer. The match slowed down a bit as Sheffield and Mr. Anderson battled it out inside the ring. Sheffield was able to lock in the airplane spin, until Anderson reached for the ropes. Both men appeared dazed after the move, but holding on to the ropes, Anderson was able to gain his composure first, stunning Sheffield with the Mic Check to make things 2-1 in favor of Anderson’s team. Cody Rhodes fought valiantly against Anderson, but the crowd went crazy as Kurt Angle was tagged back in, and a preview of Sunday’s main event was given to them. Rhodes and Angle brawled all over the ring, taking their fight outside the ring, and over the barricade. The referee had no other choice by to count both men out, and award the victory to Mr. Anderson! After the match, Anderson celebrated with Ric Flair and Cheslea, as the camera continued to follow the Rhodes/Angle brawl through the crowd. J.D. and Scott Michaels hoped that someone could break it up quickly, or the main event at Justice might be in jeopardy. Anarchy goes off the air with Anderson, Chelsea and Flair celebrating in the ring. HWL JUSTICE PPV July 24, 2011 HP Pavilion at San Jose - San Jose, California Attendance: 10,848 (62%)
“In Waves” begins to play over a video highlighting the matches that made up the Heavyweight Title Tournament. A video is also shown of the matches in the Tag Team Title Tournament. The video ends as the camera goes inside the arena, as fireworks explode from the stage, lighting up the darkness. As the lights come back on, Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to San Jose for Justice. They give a recap of the five matches that will be taking place tonight, before sending it to Alisha Hicks backstage, who is standing by with MR. ANDERSON.
Alisha asks Mr. Anderson how he feels coming off the victory his team had Monday night at Anarchy. Anderson says that his team was successful because they were positive that they were going to come out on top. He says that the odds were stacked against Cody Rhodes against himself and Kurt Angle, but that, in the end, it doesn’t matter, because he was the one that outlasted everyone else. Anderson says that it was a team victory, but he feels pretty damn good about being the last one standing at the end of the match. Alisha then asks him about the match that’s coming up next, as he and AJ Styles take on Skip Sheffield and Rob Terry for the Tag Team Titles. Anderson says that he’s confident that he and Styles will walk out of San Jose as champions, because they’ve proven they were the best team throughout the tournament. He says that no one gave them a shot against Colt Cabana and Derrick Bateman; and tonight, he and Styles will prove people wrong once again.
[Match for Vacant Tag Team Titles]: Skip Sheffield & Rob Terry defeated AJ Styles & Mr. Anderson when Sheffield pinned Anderson after a power slam in 0:28:48. Rating: **** ½ (Skip Sheffield & Rob Terry won the HWL Tag Team Titles.) [Ric Flair interfered against Skip Sheffield.]
The stage was set as these two teams got ready to find out who would be crowned the new Tag Team Champions in the HWL. This was a very brutal match, that saw both teams put all they had into finding out which team was better. Sheffield and Terry, using their size and strength advantage, took control of the match early on, until Ric Flair tripped Sheffield, allowing Mr. Anderson to connect with the Mic Check! Anderson went for the cover, only to have Big Rob break up the fall. Styles tried to intervene, only to be throw over the top rope as Sheffield and Terry began to wear down Anderson. The match continued as Sheffield continued to work over Anderson, isolating him from AJ. Anderson ducked a clothesline attempt and was able to make the hot tag to Styles, who came here in took down Sheffield, before stunning Terry with a dropkick that sent him to the concrete floor. Styles focused on Sheffield, but “The Cornfed Meathead” was too powerful, as he hoisting Styles into the corner and connected with a number of shoulder blocks into the abdomen. Sheffield made the tag, as Terry entered the ring to continue the match, picking up a near-fall after hitting a Big Boot in the center of the ring. The end of the match saw Anderson and Sheffield back inside the ring. Sheffield connected with the backpack buster and made the cover, but AJ Styles distracted the referee. Rob Terry dropped to the floor, walling across the ring, and pulled Styles to the floor with, hitting a Big Boot outside the ring! Inside the ring, Sheffield picked up Anderson and hit a power slam, and the referee counted 1-2-3.
After the match, Rob Terry stood over AJ Styles as Ric Flair and Chelsea looked on in horror. Terry slowly rolled back into the ring as the referee awarded him and Sheffield the HWL Tag Team Titles. Both men raised their belts into the air as the crowd cheered. J.D. and Scott Michaels said that, if this match is any indication, tonight is going to be an unbelievable evening.
- A video package plays showing the on-going situation between Velvet Sky and HWL Women’s Champion, Daffney. The video ends with Daffney’s comments from Monday night, the post-match brawl between the two, and Velvet’s celebration with the crowd.
- Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with VELVET SKY. Alisha says that Velvet has a video to show. A video from “Yesterday” plays, of Velvet signing autographs and taking pictures with fans young and old. The video ends, and Velvet is seen smiling as Alisha asks her what she felt after hearing what Daffney said on Monday night. Velvet says that everyone who comes to an HWL event knows that she is more than willing to take a photo or sign her name on something. She says it’s the least she can do for the people that have spent their hard-earned money to see her perform. Velvet says that Daffney’s comments aren’t really about her, they’re more about Daffney. She asks the HWL fans a rhetorical question: if any of them have ever seen Daffney - the HWL Women’s Champion - in public before or after she won the title belt. Velvet says that Daffney is a hypocrite, and that tonight, she looks forward to bringing the title back to where it belongs.
[HWL Women’s Title Match]: Daffney pinned Velvet Sky with the Lobotomy in 0:16:17. Rating: ** ¾ (Daffney retained the HWL Women’s Title.)
The accusations were flying between these two Vixen’s for weeks, leading up to tonight’s title match, and both women came out looking for salvation in winning the Women’s Title. Velvet Sky had all the fuel she needed to come out strong, after getting attacked and having her face smeared with black paint; and the accusations of her discontent for the HWL fans. All of this got under Velvet’s skin, and she took her aggression out on the Women’s Champion. Velvet wore down Daffney after a back-and-forth match, and hit the Beauty Mark, but Daffney was able to lift a shoulder JUST before the three count. Daffney, showing signs of fatigue, let out a very wry smile as she and Velvet got back to their feet. Sensing that the frustrations of the last few weeks were getting to her challenge, Daffney appeared to have had Velvet exactly where she wanted her. Daffney fought back, hitting a bulldog near the ropes. She got back to her feet as Velvet struggled, using the ropes to get to her feet. As Velvet turned around, Daffney connected with the Lobotomy to pick up the victory.
After the match, Daffney rolled out of the ring, and grabbed her title. She ran away from ringside and up the ramp as the camera focused on Velvet momentarily.
- Backstage, Ted Hanson is seen with COLT CABANA and DERRICK BATEMAN. Hanson asks about getting this match signed tonight, and how they feel going in. Cabana says that he feels fine, asking how Hanson feels in return. He says that, last week, he and Bateman got the better of Chris Hero and David Otunga, when they tried to ambush him after his match. Cabana says that they’re just upset at themselves for having Shane Hagadorn cost them their match a couple weeks ago, and that they’re just going to be upset again tonight. Bateman then says that he and Cabana aren’t going to just be happy with getting a victory tonight. He says that they will not be satisfied with anything less then a pinfall or submission victory.
- The scene changes to show Alisha Hicks standing by with HWL X-Division Champion, ALEX SHELLEY. Alisha says that he and Evan Bourne have kept their truce with each other leading up to tonight, but asks if Shelley was shocked by the comments Bourne made Monday night. Shelley says that he’s not shocked at all by what was said, because Bourne is that kind of competitor. He says that Bourne proves that every time he steps into the ring; and it’s something that Shelley has known since their days as rivals. Shelley says that Bourne, like everyone else with this chance, would stop at nothing to make sure they walked away with the X-Division Title. He says that, as Champion, he has every intention on doing the same thing to make sure he keeps it. Shelley says that he and Bourne both want this title, and that, at the end of the night, the better man will walk away with it over his shoulder.
Chris Hero & David Otunga defeated Colt Cabana & Derrick Bateman when Hero pinned D. Bateman with the Hero’s Welcome in 0:26:44. Rating: *** ½
Both of these teams came into this match with something to prove tonight. Cabana and Bateman were looking to secure themselves a straight victory, while Hero and Otunga were looking to avenge their DQ loss to their opponents a couple weeks ago on Anarchy. And, just like that Monday night, Shane Hagadorn interfered in his team’s business early on in the match, only to take a shot by Bateman outside the ring. Hagadorn kept his distance for the rest of the match, which ended up going past the time limit. All four men did their best to pick up the win for their respective teams, but neither team was willing to relent to the other. Cabana, Otunga and Bateman all hit their finishers in the final few minutes of the match, only to get two-counts each time. The end of the match saw Otunga and Cabana brawling outside the ring as Chris Hero connected with the Hero’s Welcome on Bateman to pick up the victory, tying their overall record at 1-1.
After the match, Shane Hagadorn ran around the ring as Hero rolled out, and the two of them - along with Otunga - assaulted Colt Cabana, leaving him motionless on the steel ramp. Hero, Otunga and Hagadorn celebrated their victory, and the cheap shot attack, as the crowd roared with disapproval.
- Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with EVAN BOURNE. Hicks says that the HWL fans saw a side of Bourne that they haven’t seen before, Monday night. Bourne says that it’s nothing new for him to think that way about big matches; it’s just the first time he’s been able to vocalize his thoughts to the fans and to his opponent. Bourne says that Alex Shelley is a great competitor, and that he meant no offense by his comments on Monday night. But, Bourne says that he is as confident as he has ever been about going into a title match. He says that the fans should expect a great match, and that he will do whatever he can to make sure he walks away as the new X-Division Champion.
- Also backstage, Ted Hanson is seen with CODY RHODES. Hanson asks Rhodes about the double countout that he and Kurt Angle suffered Monday night, and how that will effect their match tonight. Rhodes says that he and Kurt Angle have a history together, and that it all revolves around the Heavyweight Title. Monday night, he and Angle battled each other all over that arena, because this match - and this title - is something they both want more than anything else in the world. Plain and simple. Rhodes says that he’s beaten Angle for the belt once before… and walks away without finishing his statement.
[X-Division Title Match]: Alex Shelley pinned Evan Bourne with the Sliced Bread #2 in 0:15:51. Rating: **** (Alex Shelley retained the HWL X-Division Title.)
Evan Bourne stunned the champion, once the bell rang, with a flurry of action that hinted at the fact that Bourne was true to his word; that he would stop at nothing to win his first HWL Title. Bourne kept up the offense until Shelley ducked a clothesline and locked in an abdominal stretch. The referee checked Bourne’s arm, which fell twice, but on the third attempt, Bourne was able to fight out of the move and land a beautiful dropkick before going for the cover, which only resulted in a two-count. Bourne, then, connected with a body slam that got a two count; a DDT that got another two count; and finally, Bourne hit the Shooting Star Press in the corner! But, as he went for the cover, Alex Shelley put his foot on the ropes to break the count! Bourne, disgruntled, paced around the ring, as Shelley rolled to the outside. As Bourne regained his composure, and went outside to get Shelley, the Champion hit Bourne with the handle of a torque wrench that he found under the ring! Shelley gathered up the power to roll Bourne into the ring, before hitting the Sliced Bread #2 for the 1-2-3.
After the match, Shelley celebrated with the X-Division Title, while the crowd responded with a mixed reaction. Shelley left the ring, holding the title in the air, as the referee tended to a motionless Evan Bourne inside the ring.
- Backstage, Ted Hanson is seen with KURT ANGLE, and asks about his thoughts on Monday night’s main event. Angle says that Cody Rhodes was right: they do have a history together; and in the center of that history is the Heavyweight Title. He says that Cody Rhodes got lucky, when he beat Angle for the title, at Fully Loaded. Angle says that Rhodes won’t be so lucky tonight, but that he can count his blessings if Rhodes is able to walk out of the ring under his own power. Angle says that the tournament has led up to this - a rematch between Rhodes and himself - and Angle promises that, tonight, he will end things with Cody Rhodes, for good.
- A preview for next month’s pay-per-view event, Unbreakable, is shown. The pay-per-view will consist of all stipulation matches, in what will be the toughest night for the HWL Superstars. Unbreakable will take place on August 21st, from the FargoDome in Fargo, North Dakota!
[Match for vacant HWL Heavyweight Title]: Cody Rhodes pinned Kurt Angle with the Cross Rhodes in 0:17:47. Rating: **** ¼ (Cody Rhodes won the HWL Heavyweight Title.)
This match was nearly a month in the making, as both Rhodes and Angle made their way through the tournament to get to this point. The crowd was ready as both men stepped into the ring, looking for another great match between these two after their match at Fully Loaded. Neither man let them down. The match started off with quick action, as Rhodes and Angle swapped control. But, eventually, the match turned into a test of each man’s mettle as the submission moves were brought out. Rhodes locked in the Figure Four twice, almost getting Angle’s shoulders pinned to the canvas both times. After fighting back, later into the match, Angle was able to lock in the Ankle Lock, in the center of the ring. Rhodes tried to get to the ropes, but Angle brought him back to the center, Rhodes insisted on not giving up, finally reaching the ropes after being stuck in the hold for nearly a minute! Rhodes, on only one good foot, was able to fight his way back a few minutes later. Angle attempted the Angle Slam, but Rhodes slid down this back, and connected with a dropkick. As Angle got to his feet, Rhodes locked in the Cross Rhodes, hitting the move and pinning Angle for the 1-2-3!
After the match, Rhodes slowly got to his feet, and celebrated his second Heavyweight Title win by holding the title in the air as the crowd went crazy. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels thanked everyone for tuning in before saying goodnight. The event went off the air as Rhodes continued to celebrate inside the ring.

Monday Night Anarchy July 25, 2011 Citizens Business Bank Arena - Ontario, California Attendance: 5,988 (54%)
Screenshots from Justice flash across the screen as Anarchy comes on the air. The final screen shot shows Cody Rhodes holding up the HWL Heavyweight Title, in the center of the ring. “Headstrong” plays as the inside of the arena is shown. Pyro flies from the stage, as the crowd goes crazy. The lights come on, and the camera pans the audience, as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Ontario, California. It is announced that tonight is the first-ever HWL event held in the city, and that the crew and the Superstars couldn’t be happier to be here. It is announced that, tonight, Colt Cabana and Derrick Bateman would face off against Chris Hero and David Otunga, in a rubber match; and that the match will take place inside a Steel Cage! Also tonight, Adam Cole will face Kurt Angle, 24 hours after coming up short in his bid to become a two-time Heavyweight Champion.
Speaking of which, the new HWL Heavyweight Champion - and two-time title holder - CODY RHODES, comes down to the ring to start off the program. Dressed in his ring gear and a t-shirt, Rhodes wears the title around his waist, and enters the ring to a roar of cheers from the crowd. Grabbing a microphone, Rhodes says that last night was unbelievable. He says that he gets goosebumps now, 24 hours after walking out to the ring at Justice, where all of his fans watch him become a two-time Heavyweight Champion. Rhodes says that winning the title a couple months ago was great, but winning it last night means more, because he was able to bring the belt back with him. He was able to travel with it, knowing that he had earned it, and that it wasn’t stolen from him in a cheap attempt to take advantage of him. Rhodes says that every time he looks at his name on the Heavyweight Title, he thinks to himself how great it is to be included in the small group of elite athletes who have held multiple Heavyweight Titles in the HWL. Rhodes tries to continue, but is interrupted as AJ STYLES comes out to the ring, to a roar of boos.
Styles says that he thinks it’s comical that Cody wants to include himself with Styles and Desmond Wolfe as “elite” Superstars who have won multiple Heavyweight Titles. AJ says that Cody has held the Title twice, for all of one day; and that does not make him “elite”. AJ says that he beat his new friend, Matt Morgan, for his first title, nearly two years ago. Then AJ says that he and Desmond Wolfe went through hell, swapping the title back and forth, before finally losing it last summer. AJ says that until Rhodes puts up the kind of track record that he and Wolfe have, Rhodes can not call himself elite.
Rhodes counters and says that, unlike AJ and Wolfe, he went through three men to get his second Heavyweight Title. AJ says that’s true, and gives Cody credit for making it through the tournament, but says that the only person that gave him trouble was Angle, last night. AJ says that until Rhodes faces - and defeats - an elite Superstar, he cannot call himself one. But, AJ says that if Rhodes wants to call himself an elite Superstar, AJ has the perfect man for him to face: AJ Styles. Styles then challenges Cody to a match, for the Heavyweight Title, at Unbreakable. Without hesitation, Cody accepts the match, as the two men stare at each other while the crowd goes crazy.

Rob Terry pinned Steve Corino with the Freakbuster in 0:25:30. Rating: ****
Newly crowned Tag Team Champion, Rob Terry, got a little more than he had bargained for tonight, as Steve Corino blasted Big Rob with a quick offense to start the match. Both men found their way outside the ring, shortly after the match started, where Corino connected with the Sliding Lariat on the concrete floor. But, it wasn’t enough as Big Rob was able to re-enter the ring before he could be counted out. Corino kept on Terry, until he missed a clothesline, and Terry connected with a double-arm choke slam. The match continue to go back and forth, and even saw Big Rob bring a table into the ring, and set it up in the corner. As Rob was setting the table up, Corino connected with a shoulder block, taking out his leg, before tossing him back outside the ring. Corino whipped Terry into the guardrail before tossing him back into the ring. Corino spent some time showboating to the crowd, as Terry slowly got back to his feet. As Corino re-entered the ring, Terry connected with a Big Boot before hitting the Freakbuster for the 1-2-3.
After the match, the crowd went crazy with anticipation as Terry got to his feet and noticed the table from earlier. He looked around, as the crowd grew louder, before picking up Corino and whipping him into the table, breaking it half in the corner! Terry then rolled out of the ring, grabbed his title belt, and celebrated as Anarchy went to commercials.
Commercial Break
Backstage, ALEX SHELLEY is seen walking through the hallways, carrying the X-Division Title over his shoulder, when he is confronted by TYSON KIDD. The two of them shake hands, as Kidd congratulates Shelley on retaining the title last night at Justice. Kidd asks how it felt to finally have gotten the better of Evan Bourne, and Shelley said that it felt great, but that Bourne should be given all the credit in the world for giving Shelley his all last night. The two of them go their separate ways, before Kidd attacks Shelley from behind, causing him to through the title belt onto the ground. Kidd lands a series of kicks to Shelley’s back and rib, before throwing him into the cement wall. Shelley slumps to the ground as Kidd grabs the title belt, and throws it into Shelley’s lap before walking away.
Brie Bella pinned Velvet Sky with the Sitout Facebuster in 0:13:52. Rating: * ¾
These two women haven’t been in the ring together too often, but one of their bigger matches, before tonight, was for the Women’s Title. Brie picked up the victory that night, just as she did tonight, but went on to vacate the title soon after. Brie looked confident in this match, as she was looking to hold firm to her claim of getting back into the hunt for the Women’s Title. With the victory tonight, she puts herself in a good position for a title shot some time in the future.
Commercial Break
Backstage, Peter Bradshaw is seen in his office, when NATALYA comes in, getting booed by the crowd. She tells Bradshaw that, last week, she was thinking of how she was thinking of setting higher goals for herself in the HWL. She tells Bradshaw that she has been the most dominant Women’s Champion in history of the company; and that she was the manager for the most dominant Tag Team in the company’s history as well. Knowing that, Natalya says that there is only one direction she sees her career going, and she poses the possibility of her facing a male Superstar at Unbreakable. The crowd roars in shock as Bradshaw takes a double take. Bradshaw says that he can’t deny how great Natalya has been in the Women’s division, or how influential she was as manager of The Hart Dynasty, but that he couldn’t possibly stand by and allow her to step into the ring with a male Superstar. Natalya tries to plead her case, but Bradshaw tells her that his decision is final, before telling her to leave his office.
[Steel Cage Match] Chris Hero & David Otunga defeated Colt Cabana & Derrick Bateman when Hero pinned D. Bateman with the Hero’s Welcome in 0:18:08. Rating: ****
HWL Owner Peter Bradshaw assigned this match tonight, after witnessing the first two matches between these teams. Just 24 hours before, these four men went 25-plus minutes in a war that ended with Chris Hero hitting the Hero’s Welcome on Derrick Bateman. To ensure that Shane Hagadorn did not interfere, Bradshaw ordered that tonight’s match take place in a steel cage, which added fuel to the fire. The crowd was hot for the entire match, that saw all four men get their bodies damaged by the cage. The end of the match, much like last night, saw Chris Hero hit Bateman with the Hero’s Welcome to pick up the victory in their rubber match.
Commercial Break
Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with KURT ANGLE, 24 hours after coming up short against Cody Rhodes for the Heavyweight Title. Alisha asks about Angle’s mindset after the match, and Angle said that there’s nothing he can say that wouldn’t sound like an excuse. Angle says that Cody Rhodes, for the second time, beat him for the Heavyweight Title. Angle says that he underestimated Rhodes on two different occasions, and lost each time. Angle tells Alisha that, if he’s given a third shot at Rhodes, he wouldn’t make the same mistake again. He says that since last night, he’s been feeling a lot of anger towards not taking the match seriously enough at Justice. Angle says that, unfortunately for Adam Cole, he will feel the wrath of Angle’s anger tonight.
Tyson Kidd defeated Tommy Dreamer by countout in 0:11:11. Rating: ** ¼
Tommy Dreamer made an appearance tonight, in Ontario, as he took on Tyson Kidd, who earlier in the night attacked Alex Shelley, unprovoked, backstage. Dreamer showed a good amount of offense throughout the match, nearly pinning Kidd on a couple of occasions. But the tide turned as Kidd pulled down the ropes as Dreamer tried to hit a clothesline, sending “The Innovator of Violence” crashing down to the concrete at ringside. Kidd exited the ring, and quickly assaulted Dreamer, before throwing him into the steel ring steps. Dreamer was laid out on the concrete as Kidd re-entered the ring, and the referee finished the 10-count.
After the match, Kidd rolled back out of the ring, picked Dreamer up and brought him over to the announce table. Kidd whipped Dreamer into the announce table before getting a steel chair and bending it over Dreamer’s back with a series of vicious shots. HWL officials rushed down to ringside, and pulled Kidd away from Dreamer as medical staff rushed down to administer aide.

Kurt Angle defeated Adam Cole by countout in 0:07:41. Rating: ** ¾ [Yoshi Tatsu interfered against Adam Cole.]
Angle was fuming coming into this match, after coming up short against Cody Rhodes last night at Justice. He took on the former X-Division Champion, Adam Cole, who appeared a little over-matched as the bell rang. Cole fought his way through the match, but quickly became a victim of YOSHI TATSU, who came down to the ring, and smacked Cole in the back with a steel chair as Angle distracted the referee. Angle then attempted to lock in the Ankle Lock, but Cole rolled out of the ring. As Angle continued to distract the referee, Tatsu surprised Cole with a Yakuza Kick before walking away from ringside. The referee turned around and counted Cole out as Angle celebrated in the center of the ring.

Dark Match: El Generico pinned Steve Corino after a hammerlock in 0:22:56. Rating: *** 1/2
Interview: HWL Heavyweight Champion, Cody Rhodes, starts off the show by coming down to the ring. Rhodes said that, last week, he was confronted by AJ Styles, who said that Rhodes was not yet an elite Superstar. Rhodes repeated what Styles had said: that Rhodes didn’t beat anyone of importance until the final match of the tournament at Justice. Rhodes then asked the people in the back, who considered AJ Styles a friend, to think about his comments from last week, and try and figure out who Styles was talking about. Rhodes said that, last week, the true AJ Styles spoke his mind; not the one who everyone sees backstage. Rhodes said that Styles needs to think about who will take his comments the wrong way, and realize that his mouth is going to get him in trouble; a lot more trouble then he will be in at Unbreakable. Rhodes said that he had been thinking about what kind of match he wanted for Unbreakable; what kind of match would fit for two elite Superstars. Rhodes said that the best think he could think of was wanting to face AJ Styles in a Last Man Standing Match for the Heavyweight Title.

[Non-Title, Ladder Match]: Alex Shelley defeated Eddie Edwards in 0:36:35. Rating: **** ¼ [Tyson Kidd interfered against Alex Shelley.]
In an impromptu Ladder Match, to start off the show, Alex Shelley stepped into the ring with Eddie Edwards. With no title on the line, Peter Bradshaw demanded that a leather strap be placed at the top of the ladder; and whoever retrieved the strap would get a leather strap match at Unbreakable. Tyson Kidd wasted no time, coming down to the ring after the bell rang, and made Shelley’s time inside the ring miserable. Kidd distracted Shelley, which led to Edwards locking an Achilles hold that made Shelley pass out in the center of the ring. But, instead of going for the strap himself, Edwards taunted the crowd as Kidd splashed water - from the announce table - in Shelley’s face. Shelley eventually fought back, and as he was making his way up the ladder, Kidd entered the ring and cracked him in the back with a steel chair! Quickly the referee banished Kidd from ringside as Edwards took advantage. Somehow, Shelley was able to find a way to fight back into the match, and hit the Sliced Bread #2 on Edwards. Slowly, Shelley ascending the ladder, and grabbed the leather strap before crashing down to the canvas, victorious.
Interview: Backstage, just moments after Alex Shelley is announced the winner, Alisha Hicks caught up with TYSON KIDD, and asked why he had make such a sudden change over the last couple weeks. Kidd said that he’s on his own now; and he doesn’t have anyone else to worry about but himself. Kidd said that he’s the only one that’s in control of his future now, and that he was going to set his sights higher than just being a two-time Tag Team Champion. Kidd said that, last week, he named his first target; and this week he made that clear to Alex Shelley.

Segment: Peter Bradshaw is seen walking through the backstage are of the Coliseum, when he is approached by NATALYA. Natalya said that it’s been a week since she talked to Bradshaw about the idea of her facing a male opponent at Unbreakable, and she wanted to see if Bradshaw had changed his mind. Bradshaw said that he hasn’t thought about since their last meeting, because it’s a safety matter. Bradshaw said that he doesn’t want to see anyone get hurt, especially Natalya. Natalya, in return, said that Bradshaw wasn’t worried about her getting hurt, but about having a male Superstar embarrassed in front of thousands of people. Natalya said that Bradshaw doesn’t have to sugarcoat anything, and to just be honest. She said that Bradshaw knew it’d be good for business, because everyone would tune in to see if she could be victorious. Bradshaw said that knows that it’d be good for business, but that his concern is the safety of every Superstar on the roster, and again said that the match would not happen, before walking away. Natalya stood in the hallway shaking her head.
[Non-Title Match]: Brie Bella pinned Daffney with the Sitout Facebuster in 0:18:22. Rating: ** ¼
Two weeks ago, Brie Bella made a claim that she would not sit around and let chances pass her by, and that she hoped to one day become Women’s Champion again. After picking up a victory, last week, over the previous number one contender, Velvet Sky, Brie found herself in the ring with the Women’s Champion, in a non-title match. The pressure was on Brie tonight, because with a win, she would earn herself a shot at the title belt at Unbreakable, in a match of the champion’s choosing. Daffney threw everything she could at Brie tonight, but just couldn’t put her away. Brie fought hard, and was able to kick out of the Lobotomy, shocking the crowd. The tide turned when Brie reversed a top-rop hurrancarana into a power bomb. After that, Brie hit the Sitout Facebuster to pick up the victory, and a title match in three weeks.
After the match, NIKKI BELLA joined Brie in the ring, and they celebrated as Anarchy went to commercials.

Interview: Coming back from commercials, a replay is shown of Chris Hero and David Otunga’s victory over Colt Cabana and Derrick Bateman in a steel cage match, last week on Anarchy. After the clip is shown, Hero and Otunga are seen backstage with Alisha Hicks. Alisha asked how they felt after last week’s battle inside the cage. Chris Hero said that, for different reasons, neither he nor Otunga feel anything from last week’s steel cage match. Hero said that Otunga is one of the most well-put-together athletes the business had ever seen; and that he, himself, had put his body on the line so often, that a steel cage match feels like any other match to him. Hero said that they are both looking forward to their next challenge. Otunga then said that, over the past month, he and Hero had done nothing but leave a mark on the tag team division in the HWL. Otunga said that there was only one place left to go from here, and issued a challenge to Skip Sheffield and Rob Terry, to a Tag Team Title Match at Unbreakable.

AJ Styles & Mr. Anderson defeated Colt Cabana & Derrick Bateman when Styles defeated Cabana by disqualification in 0:16:12. Rating: ** ¾
After hearing the words that Cody Rhodes said earlier in the show, Mr. Anderson and AJ Styles came out to take on Colt Cabana and Derrick Bateman. Rhodes’s apparently hadn’t gotten to Anderson - or any member of Flair’s triumvirate - as he and Styles worked well as a team. Cabana and Bateman had the added pressure on them to win this week, after losing to Chris Hero and David Otunga in a steel cage match. With that, and the constant knowledge that Ric Flair and Chelsea were at ringside, the pressure appeared to be too much for Cabana to handle. After coming up with only a two-count after hitting the Colt. 45, Cabana argued with the referee, before pushing him down to the canvas. The referee quickly called for the bell, awarding the match to Styles and Anderson, as all four men brawled in the middle of the ring. Eventually, HWL officials came down and separated the four men as Anarchy went to commercials.
Commercial Break
Interview: Coming back from the break, Alisha Hicks is seen with Yoshi Tatsu, and asked why he attacked Adam Cole with a steel chair last week. Yoshi said that, for too long, he had been sitting in the background, listening to and doing what other people told him to do. He said that, for months, Kaz had promised him that, together, they would become Tag Team Champions… and it never happened. Yoshi said that he had let his anger build inside for too long, and when he was able to realize it on Kaz, it was the greatest moment of his career. He said that, last week, he was able to let his aggressive out, and aimed it at Adam Cole, because Yoshi was not happy about losing to Cole way back in May. He said that he wants to make things right, and get one more chance at Cole, at Unbreakable.
Alisha then asked about his match against Kurt Angle, later tonight. Yoshi said that Angle wanted the match because Yoshi interfered last week. He said that he was fine with that, because he’s not scared of Kurt Angle; that he’s not scared of anyone in the HWL. Yoshi said that, tonight, he’ll get a chance to step into the ring with a former Heavyweight Champion, and let his aggression out once again. Yoshi then warned Angle not to take him lightly before leaving the interview.
[Non-Title Match]: Cody Rhodes defeated Matt Morgan by disqualification in 0:14:13. Rating: ** ½
Cody Rhodes had a lot to say about AJ Styles earlier tonight, and it seemed as if Styles didn’t take too kindly to what the champ had on his mind. Rhodes stepped into the ring with “The Blueprint”, who appeared to have been given the task of inflicting as much pain as possible onto the Heavyweight Champion. After battling back-and-forth for the better part of the match, the fight went outside the ring, where Rhodes irish-whipped Morgan into the steel ring steps, before entering the ring. As Morgan slowly got to his feet, the referee’s count was t five. Chelsea jumped onto the apron, distracting the referee, as Ric Flair helped Morgan to his feet, and rolled him back into the ring. Just a few moments later, after having fought his way back, Morgan whipped Rhodes into the ropes, only to be tripped by Flair. The distraction allowed Morgan to lock Rhodes into a choke lift, which “The Blueprint” did not break after a five-count, and the referee disqualified Morgan.
After the match, Morgan and Flair entered the ring and attacked Rhodes, as AJ Styles made his way to the ring. Styles stopped Flair and Morgan, before lifting Rhodes up, and hitting the Styles Clash on the Heavyweight Champion! Anarchy went to commercials as Chelsea entered the ring, and all four members stood over Rhodes’s motionless body.
Commercial Break
Segment: Kurt Angle is introduced, and made his way down to the ring, before the start of the main event. As he stood in the center of the ring, RANDY ORTON appeared on the Titantron, from his home in St. Louis. Orton asked Angle how he was feeling after coming up short at this shot at winning the Heavyweight Title at Justice. Orton said that Angle mentioned not taking the match seriously enough, and that’s why he lost, but Orton asked Angle why he didn’t take the match seriously. Orton said that it’s because Angle had other things on his mind: mostly what “The Viper” had in store for him when Orton returned to the ring. Orton said that he had gotten into the mind of Angle, and that’s where he would be staying until they stepped into the ring together. Orton said that he’s feeling better each and every week, and that if all goes well, he should be ready for Unbreakable. Orton then challenged Angle, saying if Angle had the guts to go for it, they should have a match at the pay-per-view. The video ended as Angle appeared to be very upset, and he waited for his opponent to come to the ring.
Yoshi Tatsu defeated Kurt Angle by countout in 0:14:06. Rating: ** ½ [Adam Cole interfered against Yoshi Tatsu.]
Yoshi Tatsu came out aggressive again this week, attack Kurt Angle before the bell rang, gaining the upper hand. Moments later, Adam Cole made his way down to the ring, and quickly made things interesting. As Tatsu and Angle were battling outside the ring, Cole jumped onto the apron, distracting the referee as Tatsu cracked a steel chair over Angle’s head, opening up a gash on the former Olympian’s head. Angle fought his way back into the match, but the shot to his head started causing him trouble, as he was unable to mount and long-term offense. Angle attempted the Angle Slam, only to have Tatsu slide out of the move, and throw Angle through the ropes. Angle was slow to get to his feet, as blood started dripping from his forehead, and the referee continued to count. As Angle got to his feet, he turned his back to the ring, and started walking up the ramp as the referee counted him out. The crowd booed unmercifully, as Angle walked through the curtains, unfazed by their jeers. Back in the ring, Tatsu celebrated his victory, only to have Cole re-enter the ring and take a chairshot to the back. Cole raised the chair into the air as Anarchy went off the air.

Interview: The man who will be challenging Cody Rhodes for the Heavyweight Title at Unbreakable, AJ STYLES, came down to the ring, with Ric Flair, Chelsea, Matt Morgan and Mr. Anderson. Styles said that Cody Rhodes was mistaken, and had everything all wrong, when it came to people being upset about Styles said two weeks ago. Styles repeated that there were only two elite Superstars in the HWL, and that Rhodes was a long way from being considered his equal. Styles said that everyone knew that Rhodes had an easy road to travel to win his second Heavyweight Title; and that he didn’t have to put his body on the line like Styles and Desmond Wolfe did at last year’s Unbreakable, in a Ladder Match. Styles said that no one was upset about his comments, because no one had come to say anything about them. Styles then looked over to Morgan and Anderson, standing in the corner, and they both had their heads down, avoiding eye contact.
Anderson finally motioned for a microphone and said that he didn’t have a problem with Styles saying that he and Wolfe were elite Superstars, and that Rhodes hadn’t gotten to their position yet. And, he said that he let Styles’ words roll over his back, two weeks ago, when Styles said that Cody Rhodes didn’t beat anyone significant on his way to winning his second title. But now, Anderson said that, the more he hears Styles repeating himself, the more frustrated he’s getting, knowing that someone he considers a friend doesn’t think they’re on the same level. Anderson said that if Styles thinks so little of him, then Anderson will just walk out of the ring, and their partnership will be over.
The two men get face-to-face with each other, as the crowd begins to come alive. Ric Flair quickly interjects, and tries to reason with both of them. Flair suggests that they all go backstage and discuss what’s going on, away from the cameras and fans. Styles and Anderson agree to talk, but don’t take their eyes off each other as Flair, Morgan and Chelsea leave the ring.

Steve Corino pinned Tommy Dreamer with the Sliding Lariat in 0:13:12. Rating: *** ¾
This match was a great way to start off the show from the Mohegan Sun Arena, as Tommy Dreamer made his return to the Northeast, where his iconic status remained, to take on Steve Corino. Both men gave the crowd what they wanted tonight, and neither of them give in to the punishment handed out by their opponents. The match went outside the ring, where both men used the surroundings to their advantage, but it was Corino who gained the upper hand after reversing an irish-whip, sending Dreamer into the ring post. Back inside the ring, Corino worked over Dreamer’s head, softening him up for the Sliding Lariat, before picking up the 1-2-3.
After the match, Corino exited the ring and made his way up the ramp, when he is chop-blocked, from behind, by NATALYA. Natalya begins to work over Corino leg, as the crowd goes crazy. She locks in the Sharpshooter, and Corino quickly taps out against the steel stage, but to no avail. HWL officials rush out to the stage and pull Natalya off of Corino, and escort her to the back. They tend to Corino as Anarchy goes to commercials.

Interview: Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with X-Division Champion, Alex Shelley, and asks for a response to comments made by Tyson Kidd last week. Shelley says that it’s great that Kidd is going to take responsibility for his career from now on; and that he’s going to be the only one to blame when it doesn’t go as well as he planned. Shelley says that Kidd has named him as his first target, and that Kidd his coming after the X-Division Title, but Shelley says that neither of those things bother him. He says that Kidd is a great athlete, and they’ve put on some memorable matches in the past. But, Shelley says, that he just finished putting away Evan Bourne - a man who has known Shelley for years; a man who could react to Shelley before he knew what was coming - and, now, he’s expected to be concerned about Tyson Kidd. Shelley says that he doesn’t mind being Kidd’s first target, because he loves being hunted. Shelley says that, this time, the hunter is going out by himself for the first time, and that Kidd shouldn’t be surprised when he shoots himself in the ass.
Maryse defeated Nikki Bella by countout in 0:02:29. Rating: ¼*
Maryse picks up a fairly easy victory tonight, as she moved out of the way of a flying clothesline attempt by Nikki Bella, to the concrete floor. After the match, officials tended to Bella as Maryse celebrated her somewhat cheap victory.
Segment: Backstage, watching on a monitor, BRIE BELLA sees her sister being tended to by officials at ringside. Horrified, she heads towards the stage, but is blindsided by DAFFNEY, who hits Brie with a steel pipe! As Brie lays on the floor, holding her stomach, Daffney tells her that, at Unbreakable, they will facing each other in a “Dog Collar Match”; and says that it’s the perfect way to show who the most dangerous bitch in the HWL is. Daffney walks away, laughing, as the camera stays on Brie. Anarchy goes to commercials…

Interview: Kurt Angle comes out to the ring, and responds to the comments made by Randy Orton last week. Angle says that Orton was either heavily medicated, or still in shock from the injury he suffered, when he spoke last week, claiming that the reason Angle his rematch against Cody Rhodes was because Orton had gotten to him. Angle says, again, that he does not have to give his explanation for losing at Justice to anyone; and that Orton is kidding himself if he thinks he’s gotten inside Angle’s mind. Angle says that Randy Orton hasn’t even been on Anarchy since he went down with his injury, and that all he’s been good for, is wasting everyone’s time with video messages. Angle says that he won an Olympic Gold Medal with a “broken freakin’ neck” in 1996, and that nothing would keep him from stepping inside an HWL ring. Angle calls Orton weak, before saying that he will accept the challenge for a match at Unbreakable, and says that Orton should he Angle doesn’t end his career.
Commercial Break
Chris Hero & David Otunga defeated Evan Bourne & Kaz when Hero pinned E. Bourne after hitting him with a foreign object in 0:26:11. Rating: ***
The number one contenders stepped into the ring with the team of Evan Bourne and Kaz, a week after issuing their challenge to Skip Sheffield and Rob Terry for Unbreakable, but got a lot more than they bargained for. Bourne and Kaz, who were making their first appearance as a team, worked surprisingly well together, and were able to hold their own against dominant up-and-comers. As the match found it’s way outside the ring, Chris Hero and Kaz were brawling, when Shane Hagadorn tried to give his charges the advantage by hitting Kaz in the back. Kaz turned around shoved Hagadorn to the ground, getting a huge roar from the crowd; but it was an opening that Hero used to whip Kaz into the ring post, before rolling him back inside the ring. But, somehow, Kaz was able to fight back, and after tagging in Bourne, the sides were even once again. Sensing the need to do something, anything, to help his team out, Hagadorn jumped onto the apron, distracting the referee as Hero used a loaded elbow pad to knock Bourne to the ground. Hagadorn quickly jumped off the apron and the referee counted 1-2-3. The crowd booed as Hagadorn and Otunga entered the ring, celebrating their victory.
The celebration was short-lived as the HWL Tag Team Champions made their way on-stage. Rob Terry told Hero and Otunga that, if they wanted to make their mark in the Tag Team Division, they would have to do it under the Champions’ terms. Terry said that he and Sheffield accepted their challenge at Unbreakable; and that their match would be a Tables Match. All four men stared at each other as Anarchy went to commercial Break.

Segment: Backstage, AJ Styles is seen getting ready for the main event, when he is approached by “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan. Morgan told Styles that he held his tongue when everything went down, earlier in the night, because he wanted to talk to Styles personally. Morgan said that Styles has been acting differently since naming himself Number One Contender, and that it’s not sitting well with Morgan or Mr. Anderson. Morgan said that history can not be rewritten, and because of that, he will always be known as the first-ever HWL Heavyweight Champion. Morgan said that, if anyone knows how much of a competitor he is, it’s AJ, because they tore each other apart for that belt. Morgan said that Styles needed to think about what he was saying, and walked away as Styles stared off into the distance.
Tyson Kidd pinned Adam Cole after hitting him with a steel chair in 0:12:01. Rating: *** [Yoshi Tatsu interfered against Adam Cole.]
Adam Cole was looking to use the momentum he gained last week, by attacking Yoshi Tatsu after his match with Kurt Angle, to help pick up a win over Kidd here tonight. Kidd was hoping to match the victory by X-Division Champion, Alex Shelley, last week, as they get closer to their Leather Strap Match at Unbreakable. Things quickly turned in the favor of Kidd, as TATSU came down to ringside just moments after the match started, distracting Cole from the onset. Tatsu tried interfering early on, tripping Cole as he ran unto the ropes, but the referee only gave Tatsu a stern warning before allowing the match to continue. Cole, trying to keep eyes in the back of his head, was able to keep the match even until Tatsu slid a steel chair into the ring, before jumping onto the apron to distract the referee. Kidd cracked the chair of Cole’s head, tossing it outside the ring, before making the cover. With Cole unconscious, Tatsu jumped off the apron, and the referee counted to three.
After the match, Kidd celebrated a tainted victory as Tatsu looked on from ringside, smiling evilly at Cole’s prone body.
Commercial Break
Interview: Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with Peter Bradshaw, who says that he has something to say about the on-going situation between Adam Cole and Yoshi Tatsu. Bradshaw announces that, after what has happened over the last few weeks, Cole and Tatsu will face each other at Unbreakable, in a Chairshot Survival Deathmatch.
AJ Styles pinned Colt Cabana with the Styles Clash in 0:10:11. Rating: *** ¾
This match was signed, last week, after these two men took part in a four-man brawl after their tag team match on Anarchy. Cabana had said that he let the pressure of having Flair and Chelsea at ringside get the better of him last week, and he caused his team the match. Tonight, he came out strong, giving Styles everything he could. But, the self-proclaimed “Elite” Superstar in the HWL took everything Cabana gave him, and dished it right back. Styles gained the upper hand after hitting the Pele kick, before hitting the Styles Clash to pick up the victory.

Monday Night Anarchy August 15, 2011 Allen County War Memorial Coliseum Fort Wayne, Indiana Attendance: 8,710 (67%)
Interview: As the show begins, Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring, to a mixed reaction from the crowd. In the ring, Angle says that he has been noticing that a lot of people - both in the locker room and out on the streets - have been talking about Angle’s possible match against Randy Orton this Sunday night at Unbreakable. Angle says that he has thought about the match, too, but that he’s tried to put it out of his mind, because Randy Orton hasn’t been seen in an HWL ring for nearly a month. Angle says that he has already told the world how much of a better wrestler he is compared to Orton; and how much stronger he is, because of the injuries he’s had to fight through earlier on in his life. But, Angle says, that he’s worried that Orton will use his injury as an excuse to back out of Unbreakable, somehow finding away to avoid getting into the ring with Angle. “The Olympic Gold Medalist” says that he is out here tonight, because he wants to ask Randy Orton to toughen up, fight through his pain, and show up in Fargo, North Dakota on Sunday night. Angle said that he wants Orton in the ring one more time, so that he can be the one that ends Orton’s career for good.
As the crowd boos Angle, HWL Owner Peter Bradshaw appears on-stage. Bradshaw says that he has good news for both the fans and for Kurt Angle. Bradshaw says that he has spoken to Randy Orton, and that Kurt Angle will not have to wait until Sunday night to face him. Bradshaw announces that, in tonight’s main event, Angle will team up with Yoshi Tatsu to take on Adam Cole and “The Viper” Randy Orton. Bradshaw leaves the stage as Angle stands in the ring, with an evil smile crossing his lips.

Interview: Backstage, THE BELLA TWINS are seen with Alisha Hicks. Alisha asks Brie, who has taped-up ribs, about her thoughts heading into Sunday night’s Dog Collar Match against Women’s Champion, Daffney. Brie says that Daffney may have busted a few of her ribs last week, but nothing was going to stop her from going into Unbreakable, and winning the Women’s Champion. She says that Daffney certainly is the bitch of the HWL, but on Sunday, Brie is going to treat her like Ole Yeller.
Alisha turns her attention to Nikki, and asks how’s she feeling after sustaining the concussion last week against Maryse. Nikki says that it was a fluke accident, that she unfortunately paid the price for. But, tonight, she’s hoping the symptoms don’t pop up again, and that she go out there and get retribution against Maryse.
Backstage: In the parking of the Coliseum, ADAM COLE is seen talking to someone on his cell phone, pacing back and forth. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels speculate as to who Cole is talking to as the camera goes back to ringside.
Nikki Bella pinned Maryse with the Sitout Facebuster in 0:09:47. Rating: ¾*
Maryse jumped Nikki before the bell rang, hoping to capitalize on the concussion Nikkie suffered during their match a week ago. The attempt failed as Nikki moved out of the way and flung Maryse into the turnbuckles as the match officially started. The rest of the match was totally dominated by Nikki Bella, who didn’t allow Maryse a second of offense throughout the entire match. Nikki picked up an impressive victory after hitting a Sitout Facebuster for the 1-2-3.

Backstage: NATALYA is seen, walking through the backstage area, when she is confronted by STEVE CORINO, who is still limping from being in the Sharpshooter last week. Corino says that he has never been as humiliated as he was last week, and that if Natalya’s looking for a match at Unbreakable, she now has one: a SUBMISSION match against Steve Corino. Natalya congratulates Corino on manning up and accepting the challenge, before slapping Corino across the face and walking away. As Corino holds his face, RAMI SEBEI appears from behind Corino shaking his head, before walking away…
Backstage: In the locker room, YOSHI TATSU and KURT ANGLE are seen talking. Angle asks if Yoshi thinks Randy Orton will make it to the arena tonight, or if he’s too scared to show his face because he knows what Angle will do to him. Yoshi says that he doesn’t think Orton is that scared, only because he’s beaten Angle before. Angle, enraged, stands up and throws his chair into the wall, before storming out of the room…
Non-Title Match: Skip Sheffield & Rob Terry defeated Steve Corino and Rami Sebei when R. Terry pinned S. Corino with the Freakbuster in 0:06:10. Rating: ** ¾
Tonight saw the debut of Rami Sebei, formerly known as El Generico in PCW, who teamed with Steve Corino to take on the Tag Team Champions. Sebei was impressive in his debut, hitting a number of high-flying moves that took the champs off their game in the early part of the match. But, after a vicious clotheslines from Skip Sheffield, the tone of the match changed dramatically. After getting a taste of HWL action, Sebei tagged in Corino, who was still showing signs of his injury - suffered at the hands of Natalya last week - and quickly became a sitting duck for his bigger opponents. Corino wasn’t able to garner much offense as Sheffield and Terry had their way with him, before Big Rob hit the Freakbuster for the victory.
Backstage: In their locker room, AJ STYLES, MR. ANDERSON, MATT MORGAN and CHELSEA are seen sitting in chairs as RIC FLAIR stands in front of them. Flair says that tonight, they will be one step closer to bringing the HWL Heavyweight Title into the room, on the shoulders of AJ Styles. Flair says that tonight, Mr. Anderson will get his chance to show how well he can perform against the Heavyweight Champion in front of thousands of fans. Flair says that he knows Anderson has it in him to pull out a victory; to show the world that he can be a contender for the Heavyweight Title; and to prove that Cody Rhodes is nothing more then an opportunistic champion, who won’t be holding the title after this Sunday night. Flair tells Styles and Morgan that, if either of them interfere in the match tonight, that there will be a price to pay, because he doesn’t want to give Rhodes a cheap victory heading into Unbreakable. Flair says that, if everyone is clear on what they are supposed to do tonight, that they are free to watch what’s about to happen. Flair leaves the room as the four others talk amongst themselves…
Commercial Break
In-Ring: Coming back from the break, TYSON KIDD makes his way to the ring, oozing confidence. Kidd says that he realizes a lot of people in the back don’t take him seriously, or that they don’t think he’s a serious threat to anyone’s title without the help of David Hart Smith or Natalya. He says that he has taken those words to heart, and that he has been doing something about it. Kidd says that, every single week, when he goes home to Calgary, he spends every waking moment back inside the Hart Dungeon. He says that’s where he was trained by, and with, some of the most technically sound wrestlers to ever be in the business; and it’s where he is making sure that he is ready for this Sunday night at Unbreakable. Kidd says that “The Hitman” Bret Hart has been putting his body through all sorts of hell in preparation for the Leather Strap Match.
Soon, Kidd gets interrupted as X-Division Champion, ALEX SHELLEY makes his way down to the ring, a well. Shelley says that he’s impressed that Kidd is taking his one - and probably only - title shot so seriously; because without The British Bulldog or The Anvil’s spawn helping them to victory, he will never savior the taste of winning gold in the HWL. Shelley says that he’s impressed by what Kidd has done, but says that he’s a little concerned on what Bret Hart could teach him, seeing as how “The Hitman” has become a shell of his former self. Shelley says that the best training he could get was from a 50 year stroke victim, and that Kidd was hoping to use that training to get the better of him. Shelley says that Kidd’s training is laughable… just like his hopes of winning the X-Division Title this Sunday night.
Before Shelley could continue, Kidd pushed him to the ground and a brawl ensued. Kidd didn’t allow Shelley back to his feet, but eventually, Shelley was able to escape under the bottom rope, fleeing up the ramp. Inside the ring, Kidd grabbed the X-Division Title and held it in the air as the crowd cheered.
Commercial Break
Backstage: MR. ANDERSON is seen heading towards the stage, when he is confronted by AJ STYLES. Styles reminds Anderson about what’s at stake this Sunday night, and that whether or not he likes it, Anderson’s job is important. Styles tells Anderson to get him ready for Unbreakable, and there will be something in it for Anderson.
Backstage: In the parking lot, a car pulls up, and the back door opens to reveal “The Viper” RANDY ORTON. ADAM COLE approaches, and says that he’s glad Orton could make it tonight, before being interrupted as Orton says he doesn’t have time to talk. Orton tells Cole that the only thing he wants to do tonight is get his hands on Kurt Angle, and that if Cole wants to win, then he should stay out of Orton’s way.
Non-Title Match: Mr. Anderson and Cody Rhodes battled to a no-contest in 0:07:30. Cody Rhodes suffered a torn groin, and will be out for five (5) weeks. Rating: *** ½
Mr. Anderson came into this match determined to inflict some damage on the Heavyweight Champion, after hearing the speech by Ric Flair; and the confrontation between himself and AJ Styles. Anderson tried his best, as the match went back-and-forth, with neither men gaining an outright advantage. Rhodes appeared to be gaining the upper hand, when he ran into the ropes and tried to connect with a running high knee, before crumpling to the canvas in pain. The referee quickly signaled for the bell as medical officials rushed to the ring. The crowd watched helplessly as Rhodes was transferred to a gurney and carted backstage. Anarchy went to commercials as Mr. Anderson stood silently in the ring.

Segment: A recap from last week’s tag team match between Evan Bourne & Kaz and Chris Hero & David Otunga is shown, ending with Chris Hero hitting Bourne with a loaded elbow pad and picking up the victory. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels said that Peter Bradshaw had signed this match, last week, to give Bourne the chance to face Hero, one on one, inside the ring…
Chris Hero pinned Evan Bourne with the Hero’s Welcome in 0:12:33. Rating: *** ¾ [David Otunga interfered against Evan Bourne.]
Last week, Chris Hero and David Otunga stole a victory from the grasps of Evan Bourne and Kaz, as Hero used the distraction by Shane Hagadorn to unleash his loaded elbow pad onto Bourne, and pick up the victory. Tonight, Bourne had revenge on his mind as he stepped into the ring with Hero, but the odds turned against him quickly, as Hero sent the match to the floor after the bell rang, using the ring and guardrail to his advantage. Disoriented, Bourne was unaware that DAVID OTUNGA had made his way to the ring. Otunga quickly made his presence known by throwing Hero a steel chair as Hagadorn once again distracted the referee! Hero used the chair and quickly went for the cover, but Bourne was able to kick out at two. Bourne fought back, and was able to connect with a spinning heel kick, before going for the cover; but Otunga grabbed his foot and pulled Bourne off of Hero, breaking up the count. Bourne stood up and starting arguing with Otunga, before turning around and walking into the Hero’s Welcome. Hero made the cover as the referee counted to three.
After the match, Otunga entered the ring, as he and Hero attacked Hero. SKIP SHEFFIELD and ROB TERRY ran down to the ring, breaking up the attack, as all four men started brawling in the center of the ring. Officials attempted to break them apart, but to no avail, as all four men made their way outside the ring. The fight continued as Anarchy went to commercials.

Segment: A final preview for Unbreakable is shown, as ‘Yellow Belly” by Thrice plays in the background. All seven matches are hyped, including the situation surrounding the Heavyweight Title Match between AJ Styles and Cody Rhodes. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels announce that before the event starts on Sunday night, Peter Bradshaw will have an announcement on the condition of Cody Rhodes, and will comment on the Heavyweight Title Match.
Interview: Backstage, Alisha Hicks catches up with RANDY ORTON, as he makes his way to the stage area. She asks about his back injury, how he feels tonight, and about a possible match with Kurt Angle at Unbreakable. Orton says that his back feels fine, and that he couldn’t be in better shape for tonight - and for Unbreakable. Orton says that he doesn’t want to comment on his plans for Sunday night, because he has a little surprise for Kurt Angle. Orton then walks away, leaving Alisha staring off after him…

Adam Cole & Randy Orton defeated Yoshi Tatsu & Kurt Angle when R. Orton pinned Yoshi with the RKO in 0:19:07. Rating: **** ¼
Randy Orton made his return tonight, getting a huge ovation from the crowd during his introduction. Kurt Angle seemed very upset with the fanfare Orton was receiving, and when the bell rang, made it his point to focus on “The Viper’s” injured back. Angle and Yoshi Tatsu worked surprisingly well as a team, and wore down Orton with Angle’s ground attack, and Yoshi’s use of aerial moves that sent Orton hard to the canvas. When he was tagged in, Cole faired a little better, but Angle and Tatsu were still able to keep him separated from Orton for most of the match. Cole finally managed to connect with a Yakuza kick on Angle, which gave him time to crawl across the ring, towards Orton. Angle made the tag just before Cole did, and Orton quickly clearing house, sending both Yoshi and Angle to the canvas. Angle rolled out of the ring as Orton connected with a power slam. Orton then hit the RKO and made the cover as the referee counted the pinfall.
After the match, Orton rolled out of the ring and grabbed a microphone, as Kurt Angle made his way up the ramp. Orton said that he is finished having a battle of words with Angle, and that it’s time for Angle to put up or shut up. Orton says that he is completely healthy, and has already spoken to Peter Bradshaw about being at Unbreakable this Sunday night. Orton said that Angle will get his wish, and will face Orton, in a STRETCHER match. Orton dropped the microphone, as the crowd went crazy, and Anarchy went off the air showing Angle’s stunned expression.

Ouch. Seems like you can't buy a break with your world champions -- first Desmond Wolfe has to vacate due to hepatitis, then Abyss no-shows a PPV main event, then Cody Rhodes goes down with an injury. It's like WWE SmackDown! circa 2007, when Undertaker and Edge had to vacate the belt in quick succession due to injuries.
Of course, the upside is that this gives you an element of unpredictability for the PPV and a lot of good options for possible winners. So long as you don't do what WWE did in 2007 and put the belt on the Great Khali.

Yeah, it's been a rough past few months, ever since Angle dropped the belt. I can only pray that I don't have to resort to putting the belt on Khali. I'm just glad he's not on my main roster yet I've got a couple ideas for what's gonna happen at the PPV, but it would be foolish of me to put them down now. *evil laugh* Thanks for reading!
