Monday Night Anarchy October 11, 2010 Stan Sheriff Center - Honolulu, Hawaii (Attendance: 4,326) -- The final moments from last week’s main event are shown as Anarchy comes on the air. Inside the arena, fireworks go off from the stage as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to the island of Hawaii, for the first-ever edition of Anarchy from the state. They announce that, tonight, after getting attacked by the “Big Red Monster” Kane last week, the Heavyweight Champion, Desmond Wolfe, will be in non-title action against Ted DiBiase. STATEMENT FROM “THE POPE” “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero came out to the ring, wearing the X-Division Title around his waist, and grabbed a microphone as he stepped into the ring. Dinero said that he had spent the last week, trying to wipe the smile off his face, after what took place last week. He said that he couldn’t sleep at night, because he spent so much time laughing at the fact that Mr. Anderson came out and demanded a title shot against him at Downfall, only to win because Yoshi Tatsu couldn’t keep his emotions in check. Dinero said that he told Anderson last week, that Anderson hadn’t done enough to impress Dinero, and that after last week, Anderson did nothing to help his cause. Dinero said that Anderson would have to do a lot of hard work to even get himself considered for a title match at Downfall. Dinero dropped the microphone, and left the ring, and started to make his way up the ramp when Mr. Anderson jumped out from the crowd, and attacked Dinero from behind! Anderson slammed Dinero into the Jumbotron, before connecting with the Mic Check on the steel stage! Anderson knelt down beside Dinero and asked if the champion was impressed now… Commercial Break Angelina Love vs. SaritaTwo weeks after losing the Women’s Title, Sarita stepped back into the ring tonight, taking on Angelina Love, who herself, was looking to make a statement. Angelina started off strong, but during the course of the match, Sarita became distracted as Natalya - the new Women’s Champion - made her way to the ring, and interfered. After being scolded by the referee, Natalya watched from ringside, as Angelina Love took advantage of the distraction to connect with a flying cross body press to pick up the victory! After the match, Natalya entered the ring and connected with a DDT as Angelina rolled under the bottom rope. Inside the ring, Natalya locked on the Sharpshooter, as Angelina made her way up the ramp, only to be stopped by the sight of Velvet Sky applauding Love’s victory tonight - a response to the confrontation a week ago between the two. Angelina tried to slap Velvet, only to have the move blocked, as Velvet connected with a slap of her own! Angelina Love pinned Sarita after a flying cross body press in 0:08:59. Rating: *** ½ [Natalya interfered against Sarita.]Commercial BreakKAZ LIKES YOSHI’S ATTITUDE Yoshi Tatsu was seen walking through the backstage area, still fuming from his match last week, when he is approached by Kaz. Kaz said that he had spent all day looking for Tatsu, because he had something to get of his chest. Kaz said that, what he saw last week, was exactly what he wanted to see from Yoshi all along. Kaz said that the only thing Yoshi needs to make sure of, is to tone it down, so that he doesn’t get himself disqualified more often. Yoshi told Kaz that he’s been trying to teach Yoshi the “right way” to get things done inside the ring, but none of them have been successful. Yoshi said that he hadn’t felt this good since they started teaming up, and that he might continue the aggressive streak; and maybe it will lead them to a Tag Team Championship reign. Yoshi walked away as Kaz stared in his direction… David Hart Smith (w/Natayla) vs. Yoshi TatsuAfter getting praised by his tag team partner - Kaz - Yoshi Tatsu came down to the ring, hoping to keep his aggressive attitude in the ring, and pick up a much needed victory. Tonight, though, he ran into the brick wall called David Hart Smith. Yoshi didn’t seem too worried about the size and strength advantage held by Smith, and that reckless attitude led Yoshi into a power slam, giving Smith a quick 1-2-3. David Hart Smith pinned Yoshi Tatsu with a power slam in 0:01:20. Rating: **Commercial BreakKANE MAKES A PROMISE “The Big Red Monster” Kane came out to the ring as Anarchy returned from commercials. Kane got into the ring, and said that he has always hated having his attitude - in big moment situations - questioned. He said that those questions have followed him since his first days in the business. “Would he be like his brother?” “Will he ever be the man at the top of the business?” Kane said that he had been the man on the top of the mountain, looking down at all the beggars, wanting a shot at him and the Heavyweight Title. He said that, over the past few months, he had begun to wonder if he still had what it took to come out and be the monster he had been all those years ago; he wondered if he could still bring fear to the hearts of those that stood across from him in the ring. Kane said, that after his first match with Desmond Wolfe, back at Rebellion, he seriously began to doubt himself. Kane said that he doubted whether or not he could ever become the top man in the HWL, like he had been in the WWE. He said that all he needed was a little push; a little motivation to see that he still had what it took to carry gold over his shoulder. Kane said he waited for months for that motivation to take place, and that he finally found that motivation when he earned the right to face Desmond Wolfe at Hostile Takeover. Kane admitted that he had let his emotions get the better of him, because he wanted to end Wolfe’s career more then he wanted to win the Heavyweight Title. But, Kane said, that this time, things were going to be totally different. Kane said that he would be coming into their match at Downfall with a new mentality; one that wasn’t worried about whether or not Wolfe walked away from the match, but rather Wolfe would be leaving the ring as the Heavyweight Champion. Kane said that he has never been more focused on winning a title in his career, and he promises that after Downfall, no one in the Horizon Wrestling League will question him again. Commercial BreakThe British Invasion vs. Randy Orton/Alex ShelleyLast week was a bad night for “The Viper”, as he issued a challenge to the Usos - for a match at Downfall - only to have The Usos attack Orton backstage. Tonight, Orton and Alex Shelley stepped into the ring against the team that came out victorious two weeks ago, earning themselves a shot at the Tag Team Titles at the pay-per-view. However, it was another bad night for Orton as two RKO attempts were reversed into backslides, and a DDT attempt was countered into a roll-up, that gave The British Invasion the victory! After the match, The Usos ran down the ramp and quickly attacked Alex Shelley, throwing him into the ring steps, and leaving him laying on the concrete as they escaped through the crowd. The British Invasion (Brutus Magnus & Rob Terry) defeated Randy Orton & Alex Shelley when Magnus pinned R. Orton after a small package in 0:18:58. Rating: ***Commercial BreakA preview for next week’s episode of Anarchy announces the first-ever visit by the Horizon Wrestling League to the country of Japan. Non-Title Match © D’Angelo Dinero vs. KaneKane came out to the ring earlier in the evening, and made a strong case, that he would not be taken lightly any longer by the fans or the other athletes in the HWL locker room. Tonight, he stepped into the ring with the X-Division Champion, as a prelude his title match in a couple weeks at Downfall. D’Angelo Dinero, however, has never been known to back down from a challenge, and tonight he gave Kane all the fight he could muster. Kane ended up being too much for the champion to handle, and picked up the victory after a monstrous Choke Slam From Hell. Kane pinned D’Angelo Dinero with the Choke Slam From Hell in 0:07:56. Rating: *** ½Commercial BreakNon-Title Match Ted DiBiase vs. © Desmond WolfeTed DiBiase had a huge opportunity in front of him tonight, as he took on the Heavyweight Champion in tonight’s main event. However, he never got the chance to show what he could do against the champion as “The Big Red Monster” Kane made his way down to ringside, wielding a steel chair in hand. Kane connected with a vicious shot to Wolfe’s back; the referee had no choice but to call for the bell. DiBiase stood in the corner as Kane entered the ring, and continued to assault the Heavyweight Champion. Kane picked up Wolfe and connected with a Tombstone piledriver in the center of the ring. Kane stood over Wolfe’s prone body as flames shot out from the ring posts. DiBiase rolled out of the ring and stared at Kane as Anarchy went off the air. Desmond Wolfe defeated Ted DiBiase by disqualification in 0:00:28. Rating: * [Kane interfered against Desmond Wolfe.]Card Rating: ** ¼

Anyone with the gumption to give Kane a main-event push gets a good mark in my book. I've enjoyed what I've seen of this narrative-driven circuit since I've come back to the message board, especially Desmond Wolfe's dominant reign as champion -- whoever manages to dethrone him is going to get a huge rub.
And I won't complain if that someone is Kane.

Monday Night Anarchy October 18, 2010 Tokyo Dome - Tokyo, Japan (Attendance: 44,232) A video recap plays, showing highlights from last week’s episode: Women’s Champion, Natayla’s post-match attack on Sarita; Kane’s victory over X-Division Champion D’Angelo Dinero; and Kane’s interference - and post-match attack - on Heavyweight Champion Desmond Wolfe. The highlights end with Kane standing over Wolfe, in the center of the ring, as fire shoots from the ring posts. -- “Headstrong” by Trapt plays as fireworks explode inside the Tokyo Dome, and the camera pans the audience, where some fans are standing and making a commotion, and others are sitting silently in their seats. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to ‘The Land of the Raising Sun”, for the HWL’s first-ever event in Japan. It is announced that tonight, after the events that took place last week, Ted DiBiase will get his chance at redemption as he steps into the ring with “The Big Red Monster” Kane! Also, Yoshi Tatsu and Kaz will take on The Hart Dynasty in a non-title match, just 13 days before the titles are put on the line against The British Invasion at Downfall.. -- Heavyweight Champion, Desmond Wolfe started off the show, coming out to the ring in a noticeable amount of pain. He entered the ring and grabbed a microphone as the crowd cheered him on. Wolfe said that, since last week, he had done a lot of thinking, and had spent a lot of time trying to clear some things from his mind, but that there was just one thing that he couldn’t clear out; something that just kept coming back to him… and, that was the thought that he couldn’t go anywhere without looking behind his back. Wolfe said that he had been in the wrestling business for a long time. And, that during that time, he had never once been known to fear anything… or anyone. Wolfe said that he has been the most dominating champion the HWL has ever seen, and that he has never had his confidence questioned until the events that happened two weeks ago. Wolfe said those question became even more present, last week, after Kane choke slammed him in the center of the ring. (Crowd boos) Wolfe said that, based on his actions over the past couple weeks, Kane seemed to have meant what he said about being taken more seriously heading into the main event at Downfall. He said that he hadn’t taken Kane very seriously in their last meetings because Wolfe had been successful against Kane since the arrived in the company. Wolfe said that Kane may be serious about being taken as a real threat for the Heavyweight Title; and that Wolfe’s confidence may be in question; but, Wolfe says, that there is nothing Kane can do to keep him from retaining the Heavyweight Title at Downfall. Wolfe left the ring as the crowd cheered him. Commercial BreakGail Kim vs. Velvet SkyAfter Anarchy went off the air last week, it was announced that Velvet Sky would be facing off against her former friend, and tag team partner, Angelina Love, at Downfall. Tonight, Velvet stepped into the ring with Gail Kim, who was hoping to stop Velvet’s momentum, and get a little for herself. Kim fought off Velvet, as she came out looking to continue where she left off last week - after slapping Angelina Love in redemption - but Love wouldn’t let Velvet have the satisfaction of victory tonight. Love came down to ringside, distracting Velvet, and allowing Gail Kim to hit a spine buster slam and pick up the victory. Gail Kim pinned Velvet Sky after a spine buster slam in 0:09:48. Rating: * ½Commercial Break-- Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with The British Invasion - the number one contenders for the Tag Team Titles. Brutus Magnus started off by saying that, two months ago, he and Rob Terry found themselves in the very same position they are now: hoping to dethrone The Hart Dynasty, and take away their Tag Team titles. Magnus admitted that he and Terry had spent most of their time trying to get into the heads of Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith, and that their attempts failed miserably. Magnus agreed to what David Hart Smith had said the night after Unbreakable - that The Hart Dynasty did indeed “shut them up”. But, Magnus said, that he has noticed something over the past few weeks; and that is the fact that Kidd and Smith have beaten every single team in the HWL… and that, there’s very little chance that they can keep up their success as each team learns their tendencies inside the ring. Magnus said that he and “Big Rob” were going to be the first team to test that, in just under two weeks, at Downfall. Magnus said that he and Rob couldn’t be more ready for their rematch - for the titles - and that on Halloween night, the world will pay witness to The Hart Dynasty’s downfall… Evan Bourne vs. Randy Orton-- unfortunately, there was an error when I tried to restart the program, and this match was cancelled. -- Commercial Break-- Returning back from the break, “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero made his way out to the ring, wearing the X-Division Title around his waist. He walked around the ring, in noticeable pain, from the post-match attack by Kane last week. Dinero grabbed the microphone, and said that last week wasn’t one of the best weeks he’s had, but that getting attacked twice in one night wasn’t going to keep him from being in the arena tonight, getting cheers from the crowd. Dinero said that it was very clear that he was the un-expecting victim of two men wanting to prove themselves last week. Dinero said that Kane was trying to get into Desmond Wolfe’s head heading into Downfall; and that Mr. Anderson was hoping to do the same thing. Dinero said that, over the past couple weeks, he’s given Anderson plenty of chances to prove that he was worthy of getting an X-Division Title match at Downfall; but that the only thing he managed to do was piss Dinero off. And, on that alone, Dinero says, Mr. Anderson will be given his chance in two weeks, at Downfall. Dinero said that, after Downfall, he - and the rest of the HWL - don’t want to hear Mr. Anderson ever again! Commercial BreakNon-Title Match Yoshi Tatsu/Kaz vs. © The Hart Dynasty (w/Natalya)Tonight was not the night The Hart Dynasty was looking forward to having, as they get closer to their title defense at Downfall. They were hoping to pick up another victory on their way to the pay-per-view, but things appeared to finally click for Tatsu and Kaz, making things more difficult for the Tag Team Champions. Kaz and Tatsu - who’s tenacity showed up again tonight - worked perfectly as a team, something they had been longing to do for some time, and kept the champions off guard all night long. Kaz put Kidd away with the Wave of the Future, for the huge upset, and put quite the bump in Champions’ road to Downfall. Kaz & Yoshi Tatsu defeated The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) when Kaz pinned T. Kidd after the Wave of the Future in 0:15:35. Rating: ** ¾Commercial Break-- Returning from the break, Alisha Hicks is seen backstage with Peter Bradshaw, who announces that next week, there will be a Vixens Tag Team Match: Sarita and Velvet Sky will take on Angelina Love and Women’s Champion, Natalya. Matt Morgan vs. Mr. Anderson (w/Ric Flair & Chelsea)Mr. Anderson was determined to finally prove something to “The Pope” inside the ring, but tonight wasn’t the night for the challenger for the X-Division Title. Steve Corino surprised everyone - including Anderson and Morgan - when he made his presence know at ringside. He pulled down the top rope, allowing Morgan to fall to the concrete below, before attacking “The Blueprint” as the fans suddenly saw a darker side of the former PCW Tag Team Champion. As the referee called for the bell, and focused his attention outside the ring, D’Angelo Dinero ran into the ring and connected with vicious lefts and rights on Mr. Anderson! Dinero whipped Anderson into the turnbuckle, and quickly followed up with the DDE, before standing over Anderson and watching the brawl at ringside. Matt Morgan defeated Mr. Anderson by disqualification in 0:01:05. Rating: * [Steve Corino interfered against Matt Morgan.]Commercial BreakTed DiBiase vs. KaneTed DiBiase was looking for a little slice of revenge tonight, as he stepped into the ring with the “The Big Red Monster” Kane. After having his chance at facing the Heavyweight Champion taken away by Kane’s interference, DiBiase was hoping to prove that he could fight his own battles, and that he no longer needed the departed Cody Rhodes by his side. DiBiase put up a valiant effort tonight, lasting longer than most people would’ve expected; but still, he was no match for his opponent’s power, as Kane hit the Choke Slam From Hell for the 1-2-3. Kane pinned Ted DiBiase with the Choke Slam From Hell in 0:12:50. Desmond Wolfe's promo to start the show was great. I'm really digging their feud. Kind of funny about Orton-Bourne being cancelled because of a TNM error. People who don't run TNM circuits will never know our pain. This show was extremely good, and I like the fact that you took the HWL to Japan for a show. I appreciated the little bit of detail about some of the fans sitting and watching while others cheered at the beginning of the show. I'm really looking forward to the PPV. Great build so far.

Monday Night Anarchy October 25, 2010 TIO Stadium - Darwin, Australia (Attendance: 12,150) -- “Headstrong” by Trapt plays as fireworks explode around the perimeter of the open-air TIO Stadium, and the cameras - located on the grass - pan around the stadium as the crowd cheers wildly. The ring is placed in the middle of the field, and multiple screens are located around the ring area, broadcasting the events to the stands. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Darwin, and the first-ever HWL event to take place outside of an indoor venue. They announce that in just six days, Downfall will take place in Sydney, and they question what will happen tonight. They also announce the Vixens Tag Match between the teams of Sarita and Velvet Sky against Angelina Love and the Women’s Champion, Natalya. Also tonight, in a return match from last week, Evan Bourne will face “The Viper” Randy Orton. -- “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan interrupts the show opening, and comes out to the ring with a microphone in hand. Morgan says that he’s been put on the back burner for a while now, and that he’s had time to think things over. He says that it has taken some time, but he comes to terms with the fact that he may not be able to get his third - and decisive - match against Kurt Angle. Morgan says that, while Angle is over in PCW, losing the Heavyweight Title to new-comer, Morgan has been sitting on his backside, waiting for the right opportunity; and he says that opportunity came at the hands of Steve Corino. Morgan wonders what was going through Corino’s mind last week, when he came out and attacked Morgan from behind: was it that Corino was on his last day, and wanted to try to leave a mark before he walked out the door? Morgan says that he knows Corino’s not in Darwin tonight, but back home in Winnipeg, counting his blessings. Morgan says, that if Corino is anything close to a man, he will be at Downfall, and will face Morgan in a match-up one on one. If not, Morgan says, then the HWL is going to be his own person playground, because he’s tired of not getting the chances to prove himself… … this brings out Peter Bradshaw, who stands on-stage, with a microphone of his own. He says he understands how Morgan is feeling, and that he feels just as upset about not seeing the finale in the Angle series, too. And, Bradshaw says that he was just as shocked by the actions of Steve Corino last week as anyone else in the back. But, Bradshaw says that there’s nothing he can do about either of those situations, because neither Angle or Corino are currently under HWL contracts. Bradshaw says it’ll be up to Corino if he’s at Downfall on Sunday, but that he won’t allow Morgan to just run roughshod over the backstage area because he didn’t get his way. Bradshaw repeats that Morgan wants a chance to prove himself, before saying that tonight he’ll get his chance to do just that. Bradshaw then signs a match for tonight’s main event: a non-title match between Matt Morgan and the Heavyweight Champion, Desmond Wolfe. Commercial BreakTyson Kidd (w/Natalya) vs. Kyle O’ReillyKyle O’Reilly made his debut tonight, coming over after a short stint with the Ring of Honor promotion, and quickly made an impact, taking the fight to one-half of the Tag Team Champions. Tyson Kidd seemed taken off-guard by O’Reilly’s offense, and was nearly counted out as he tried to walk away from the ring. But, after some advice from Natalya, Kidd returned to the ring, and continued the match. Soon after that, the referee was knocked down moments before O’Reilly went for the pinfall. Natalya entered the ring connected with a chair shot to O’Reilly’s back. Kidd rolled O’Reilly over and hit the Springboard Elbowdrop to pick up the tainted victory. Tyson Kidd pinned Kyle O’Reilly with the Springboard Elbowdrop in 0:11:02. Rating: *** [Natalya interfered against Kyle O’Reilly.]Commercial Break-- Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with “The Big Red Monster” Kane. Alisha asks for Kane’s response to Desmond Wolfe’s speech last week, and Kane says that Wolfe can scream at the top of his lungs that he will beat Kane at Downfall on Sunday night. But, the fact remains that he was able to do the one thing no one has yet to do: he got inside Desmond Wolfe’s head. Kane says that Wolfe, himself, even admitted to looking over his shoulder from time to time. Kane agrees that Wolfe has been the most dominant champion that the HWL has seen, but that he was the one to find Wolfe’s true weakness. Kane says he plans on taking full advantage of that weakness on Sunday night… and will become the new Heavyweight Champion. Ted DiBiase vs. Brutus MagnusA week after giving his all in a fight with Kane, Ted DiBiase found himself on a more even field, stepping into the ring with Brutus Magnus. However, DiBiase had a slight advantage since tonight Magnus was making his singles debut, and without a partner, Magnus nearly looked lost in the ring. Magnus fought as hard as he could, but not having someone to tag in took its toll on him; and DiBiase hit the Dream Street for the 1-2-3. Ted DiBiase pinned Brutus Magnus with the Dream Street in 0:14:47. Rating: ** ¼Commercial Break-- Mr. Anderson makes his way out to the ring, as Anarchy comes back from the commercial break, with a microphone in-hand. Anderson says that he can’t remember the last time he has been this happy; and, not too long ago, he challenged for the Heavyweight Title. But, tonight, he says he’s happy because - much like Kane said earlier tonight - Anderson has gotten into the mind of D’Angelo Dinero. Anderson says that, after weeks of attacks, and seeming to not have the “will” to earn a X-Division Title shot, Sunday at Downfall, he simply did what he does best: backed the champion into a wall until he had no other option BUT to give Anderson a title match! Anderson said that it made him very happy, last week, to hear Dinero say that Anderson was getting under his skin. But, Anderson gives Dinero credit for his post-match attack last week, but says that it won’t deter him from walking out of Sydney with X-Division Title wrapped around his waist. Commercial BreakSarita/Velvet Sky vs. Angelina Love/© NatalyaAll four of these Vixens were rearing to go as the match got underway tonight; and the crowd could sense that this match was going to be a crazy one. Angelina and Natalya started off the match, double-teaming their opponents at every opportunity, wearing down Sarita. But, the challenger for the Women’s Title fought back, and tagged in Velvet, who showed a new-found aggression tonight. Velvet and Sarita used quick tags to their advantage; but the crowd began getting angry as Angelina Love deliberately wanted no part of stepping into the ring with Velvet, whenever she was the legal Vixen. Frustrated, Velvet let her anger get the best of her, as she did not release a choke hold on Natalya before the five-count, and the referee had no choice by to call for the bell. After the match, Sarita entered the ring and pried Velvet off the champ, as Natalya rolled out of the ring and was comforted by Angelina. Velvet stood in the center of the ring, staring at Love as she and Natalya made their way up the ramp. Angelina Love & Natalya defeated Sarita & Velvet Sky when Natalya defeated Sky by disqualification in 0:15:25. Rating: ***Commercial Break-- A preview of next week’s Anarchy begs the question: “Who will be Heavyweight Champion?”, and “What will the fall out be after Mr. Anderson and “The Pope” square off for the X-Division Title?” Evan Bourne vs. “The Viper” Randy OrtonImpressive showing for Evan Bourne tonight, as he was able to defeat “The Viper” with the Shooting Star Press. Evan Bourne pinned Randy Orton with the Shooting Star Press in 0:09:39. Rating: ** ¾Commercial BreakNon-Title Match “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan vs. © Desmond WolfeMatt Morgan wanted to prove himself tonight, just six days before a possible match against Steve Corino at Downfall, and tonight he got his chance against the Heavyweight Champion. Morgan certainly made his presence felt tonight, busting the champion open, after throwing Wolfe into the ring post. Morgan took advantage of the injury, but simply wasn’t able to put Wolfe away! The champion showed a resilience that has become the standard, and though he lost a serious amount of blood, was able to hit the Jawbreaker Lariat for the shocking 1-2-3! Desmond Wolfe pinned Matt Morgan with the Jawbreaker Lariat in 0:13:31. Rating: ***Card Rating: ** ¾

-- “Another Way to Die” by Disturbed plays as fireworks shoot off inside the Acer Arena. The camera pans around the audience as the smoke clears; Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Sydney, Australia for “Downfall”. They announce the seven matches on tonight’s card, and say that a lot of questions will be answered by the end of the event. They then send it to ringside for the opening contest. Kyle O’Reilly vs. “The Blueprint” Matt MorganMatt Morgan was hoping to step into the ring with Steve Corino tonight, but at bell time Corino had yet to renew his contract. So, tonight, the unfortunate honor fell onto O’Reilly’s shoulders. O’Reilly had a rough welcoming to the HWL on Monday night, and things didn’t get much better tonight, as Morgan quickly made an example of the newcomer, using his size and power to complete overmatch O’Reilly. Morgan put O’Reilly away with a vertical suplex side slam for the quick victory. After the match, Morgan grabbed O’Reilly and connect with the Hellavator in the center of the ring! Matt Morgan pinned Kyle O’Reilly after a vertical suplex side slam in 0:01:54. Rating: * ¼-- Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with The Usos and Tamina. Tamina, says that The Jimmy and Jey have had their ups and downs during their time in the HWL, but that keeping Alex Shelley and Randy Orton from competing for the Tag Team Titles tonight was their first major success since their debut. She says that tonight, all they need to do is beat Shelley and Orton, and they will on their way to challenging for the Tag Team Titles. -- Standing outside their locker room, in another area backstage, Tyson Kidd, David Hart Smith, and Natalya hold their respective titles in full view of the camera. Natalya says that it has been a while since they all held gold in the HWL together, but even after a short separation from the Women’s Title, The Hart Dynasty has reclaimed their spot as the most dominating faction in the HWL. She says that Kidd and Hart are the current, and longest-reigning Tag Team Champions, and that she is the most dominant Vixen to ever enter an HWL ring. She says that tonight, Sarita will get her chance to win back the title, but that there is no guarantee that she’ll even come close. “The Viper” Randy Orton/Alex Shelley vs. The Usos (w/Tamina)The crowd in Sydney was absolutely stunned tonight at how quickly this match came to an end. Jimmy Uso connected with a surprise Superkick on Randy Orton, and connected with the Superfly Splash to big up the huge victory. After the match, Jimmy and Jey fled the ring, and celebrated with Tamina. At ringside, Alex Shelley stood on the apron, looking at Orton in complete - and utter - shock. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) defeated Randy Orton & Alex Shelley when Jimmy pinned R. Orton with the Superfly Splash in 0:00:50. Rating: *-- Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with Sarita, who says that she has never been shy about giving Natalya the credit she deserves, and that it’s true: she is the most dominating Vixen in the HWL. But she says that she was able to win the title once before, and that she’s not happy with just having one title reign. Sarita says that her chances of winning the title are just as good as Natalya’s chances of retaining. Sarita says that, as she’s proven before, anything is possible… -- Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith are seen, on their way to the stage area, when they are stopped by Tim Hanson. Hanson asks what they think about the comments made by Brutus Magnus Monday night, on Anarchy. David Hart Smith says that Magnus can say whatever he wants: about finding the weakness in Smith and Kidid, or about how he and Rob Terry are going to be stronger then he and Doug Williams ever could be. But, nothing he says will change the fact that Smith and Kidd have been dominating the tag team division for months, and that until some “serious competition” arrives in the HWL, they will remain tag team champions. HWL Women’s Title Match Sarita vs. © NatalyaContinuing with the theme of tonight’s event, Natalya retained her title in very quick fashion, reversing a DDT attempt into a small package. Natalya appeared to have grabbed Sarita’s tights as the referee counted to three, and quickly rolled out of the ring after the match. Sarita sat on her knees, pleading with the referee, as Natalya made her way up the ramp, celebrating her victory. Natalya pinned Sarita after a small package in 0:00:22. Rating: * (Natalya retained the HWL Women’s Title.)-- Backstage, “The Big Red Monster” Kane is shown entering the arena. Daniels and Michaels discuss the magnitude of tonight’s main event, saying that it could be Kane’s last shot at the Heavyweight Title, if Desmond Wolfe retains. -- In another area backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with Angelina Love, who says that she needs to talk to Peter Bradshaw about allowing her to bring protection out to the ring tonight. Love says that Velvet Sky has absolutely gone crazy with jealousy, because she no longer has Love to help her out. Angelina says that she needs protection, because it’s obvious that Velvet is not in a good state of mind; and that she could’ve killed Natalya on Monday night, had the referee not intervened. Angelina says that she’s fearing for her safety, and if anything happens, she’s going straight to Bradshaw’s office. HWL Tag Team Title MatchThe British Invasion vs. © The Hart Dynasty (w/Natalya)The tone for this match had been set since the day The British Invasion won the right to challenge for the titles. The battle between these two teams started backstage, with a war of words, and finally came to a combustible conclusion tonight. For weeks, The British Invasion had claimed to have found the “weakness” in The Hart Dynasty; and the champions had stuck to the point that they had beaten every team that had gotten in their way. Tonight, the champions proved their point in impressive fashion. Both teams battled it out throughout the match; and thanks to some quick thinking by Brutus Magnus, Rob Terry was able to kick out of a pinfall attempt before the time limit expired. But, with the titles on the line, the referee allowed the match to continue. And , shortly after that, Tyson Kidd connected with the Springboard Hart Attack to pick up the victory. The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) defeated The British Invasion (Brutus Magnus & Rob Terry) when T. Kidd pinned Magnus after the Springboard Hart Attack in 0:23:12. Rating: *** ¾ (The Hart Dynasty retained the HWL Tag Team Titles.)-- Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with Velvet Sky - who gets a big ovation from the crowd. Velvet says that Angelina has the two of them confused, as far as jealousy is concerned. She says that weeks ago, Angelina gave her a pep-tallk, because Velvet was having trouble coping with her losing record. Now, Velvet says, Angelina is having trouble dealing with knowing that Velvet took her advice, and is making something of herself in the HWL. Velvet says that she is furious, and that tonight, there is nowhere for Angelina to run and hide. -- X-Division Champion, D’Angelo Dinero, is seen walking around backstage, when he is approached by Tim Hanson, who asks for a response to the statements made by Mr. Anderson, Monday night on Anarchy. Dinero says that Mr. Anderson’s ego is causing him to say and think things that just aren’t true. Dinero says that Mr. Anderson was right about one thing: he didn’t show any “will” toward actually earning his title shot tonight; but, that the only reason he’s getting the match, is to see if he can truly back up all the garbage that comes out of his mouth. Angelina Love vs. Velvet SkyVelvet started off the match strong, proving that Angelina really had no place to hide, hitting her former partner with any kind of offense she could muster. Angelina was able to fight back, but sensing her offense wasn’t working, she “inadvertently” bumped into the referee, allowing her to go after Velvet more aggressively. But, Velvet was able to fight back again, keeping herself out of harm’s way as the referee got back to his feet; Velvet hit the Beauty Mark for the 1-2-3. After the match, Velvet celebrated with the fans at ringside as Angelina slowly got to her feet. Velvet Sky pinned Angelina Love with the Beauty Mark in 0:06:54. Rating: *** ¼-- Tim Hanson is seen backstage with Desmond Wolfe, who has the HWL Heavyweight Title around his waist. Wolfe says that the feud between him and “The Big Red Monster” Kane has been well documented over the past few months, and that its done nothing but get more and more heated over the past few weeks. But, Wolfe says that tonight the time for talk is over, and that it’s only a matter of time before they prove who wants the Heavyweight Title more. Wolfe says that Kane has been very destructive since earning his title shot, but that Wolfe has the ability - and will ultimately - beat Kane again. -- A preview for the next HWL pay-per-view, Wicked Games, is shown. Daniels and Michaels describe the event as an eight-man tournament which will crown the winner as the Number One Contender for the HWL Heavyweight Title. The event will take place on November 28th, live from Los Angeles, California. X-Division Title MatchMr. Anderson vs. © “The Pope” D’Angelo DineroLots of back and forth action to start off this match, as both men struggled for position. Dinero was able to secure the advantage after surprising Anderson with a legsweep. Anderson was able to fight back, after cutting short a series of jabs, with a low blow that was unseen by the referee. Anderson tried to put Dinero away, but was unable to get the three-count. Dinero fought back, and reversed Anderson into the turnbuckle before connecting with the DDE out of nowhere, and covered Anderson for another successful title defense. After the match, Dinero rolled out of the ring, and celebrated with the fans at ringside while holding the X-Division Title high in the air. [No-Countout-No-DQ-Match]: D’Angelo Dinero pinned Mr. Anderson with the DDE in 0:07:36. Rating: **** (D’Angelo Dinero retained the HWL X-Division Title.)-- Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with “The Big Red Monster” Kane, who says that he has said enough about what his plans are for Desmond Wolfe tonight. Kane agrees that the time for talking as come to an end; and now it’s a matter of who wants the Heavyweight Title bad enough. Kane says that he has come up short in his two other chances, but that he will not allow his third - and final - chance end in failure. -- A recap is played, highlighting the events that have taken place so far during tonight’s event. Daniels and Michaels say they are shocked at the quickness of the matches that started off the event, but say that the crowd has seemingly been enjoying themselves since the Hart Dynasty was able to retain their Tag Team Titles. They say that everything tonight has been leading up to one moment: Kane versus Desmond Wolfe, for the HWL Heavyweight Title… which is next! HWL Heavyweight Title Match“The Big Red Monster” Kane vs. © Desmond WolfeA lot of pent-up frustration - and pure hatred - had been building since this match was announced, just over a month ago; and tonight, both of these men went out to prove that they were truly better then one another. They jockeyed for position for the opening minutes of the match, but Wolfe was able to garner a little bit of offense… never getting enough to keep Kane down on the canvas. Kane was able to fight back throughout the match, and nearly picked up the victory after hitting a power slam in the center of the ring. He then attempted the Choke Slam From Hell, but Wolfe was able to fight his way out of the hold, continuing the match. Wolfe was able to gain a little more strength after hitting a short lariat, that appeared to have hit Kane in the jaw; the bigger opponent seemed to stumble around on his feet after the contact. This opened up the opportunity that Wolfe needed, and he connected with the Jawbreaker Lariat to pick up the victory! After the match, Wolfe crumpled onto the canvas with the Heavyweight Title, as Daniels and Michaels reminded everyone that Kane was no longer allowed to challenger for the Heavyweight Title for as long as Wolfe was Champion. They hoped everyone would join them tomorrow night for Anarchy before signing off for the evening. Desmond Wolfe pinned Kane with the Jawbreaker Lariat in 0:17:04. Rating: *** ¼ (Desmond Wolfe retained the HWL Heavyweight Title.)Card Rating: ** ¾

The main event and the tag title match especially paid dividends, but I don't think I can get behind how short the early matches were. Matt Morgan's squash made sense - that one is fine. But I don't know if you're trying to bury Randy Orton in HWL, but that felt like a big time burial.
Also wasn't a fan of Natalya's ultra-quick defense. She should have won, but I don't think the 20 second victory does her any favors.
Your main event really delivered though. Wolfe needed the clean victory to establish himself as a strong champion, and he did that. As a bonus, Kane didn't look weak in defeat. Great way to end a ppv.

Why, thank you so much!
I was quite shocked by the earlier matches, too. I certainly wasn't expecting the tag match or Natalya's defense to end so quickly. But, at the moment, I don't really have any plans for Orton, only because I really haven't used him that much to begin with.
I was very happy with how the main event went, and I was very pleased with how the PPV turned out. I just hope I can continue to ride the wave!

They include Matt Morgan hitting the Hellevator; Jey Uso hitting the Superfly Splash on Randy Orton; Natalya rolling up Sarita into a small package; Tyson Kidd hitting the Springboard Hart Attack on Brutus Magnus; Velvet Sky hitting the Beauty Mark on Angelina Love; D’Angelo Dinero hitting the DDE on Mr. Anderson; and finally, Desmond Wolfe crumpled on the canvas, holding the Heavyweight Title… … “Headstrong” by Trapt plays inside the arena as fireworks go off from the stage. The cameras pan the audience as they cheer and wave signs into the air. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to The Dome, in Sydney, Australia, just 24 hours after an amazing Downfall pay-per-view. They say that things are just starting to “heat up” as the colder months arrive; and that HWL Owner, Peter Bradshaw has a big announcement… -- Peter Bradshaw wastes no time, heading out to the ring in a finely pressed suit, and a microphone in-hand. Bradshaw says that he couldn’t be happier with seeing how far the HWL has come since he bought the company just over a year ago. Bradshaw says that he had a different vision of the HWL, when he bought the company, and that he is finally getting to see that vision come to life. He says that he has waited long enough to unveil something that the previous ownership was afraid to do, but it’s something that has taken place in the wrestling world for years. Bradshaw announces that on November 28th, at Wicked Games, an eight-man tournament will take place to determine the challenger for the Heavyweight Title. He says that things will get underway tonight with two qualifying matches, with the two winners securing themselves positions in the tournament. Bradshaw also announces that in order to decide Brutus Magnus’s opponent in the first qualifier, there will be a five-man Battle Royal… coming up next. Commercial BreakFive-Man Battle Royal(including Abyss, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Rob Terry, and Tommy Dreamer)All five of these men were wanting to prove themselves tonight, vying for the final qualifying position for the Wicked Games tournament. There were two men however - Abyss and Tommy Dreamer - who were making their televised debuts with the HWL, after signing over from TNA. In the end, this match came down to Abyss and Jey Uso, and “The Monster” clearly had the advantage, cleanly lifting Uso over the top rope and dropping him to the concrete at ringside. After the match, Abyss stood in the center of the ring, awaiting Brutus Magnus, as the crowd watched on impressed. [5-Man Battle Royal]: Abyss won a 5-Man Battle Royal: x T. Dreamer threw out Jey after a faceslam in 0:3:30. x R. Terry threw out Dreamer in 0:05:14. x Jimmy threw out R. Terry after a side step in 0:06:28. x Abyss threw out Jimmy after an overhead belly-to-belly suplex in 0:06:58. Rating: ** 3/4Commercial Break-- Returning from the break, Velvet Sky is seen walking through the backstage area, celebrating her victory over Angelina Love last night, when DAFFNEY attacks her from behind! Daffney slams Velvet into the brick wall of the hallway, before smearing her face onto the floor while screaming that Velvet was the most hideous women in HWL. Daffney gets back to her feet, lets out a primal scream, and kicks Velvet in the head before walking away. The camera shows Velvet holding the back of her head as we go back ringside… Wicked Games Qualifying Match“The Monster” Abyss vs. Brutus MagnusThe first official qualifying match tonight pitted two men who are quite familiar with each other from their time in TNA. Magnus charged in hard, taking the fight to Abyss, but “The Monster” was able to thwart away any of Magnus’s offense. Frustrated, Magnus pushed the referee down to the canvas, and resorted to some underhanded tactics to get the better of his bigger opponent. A replacement official rushed down to the ring and the match continued, until the starting referee got back to his feet and called for the bell! After the match, Magnus turned and began screaming into the referee’s face. Abyss, who had been backed into a corner, attacked Magnus from behind, and sent him into the ropes, hitting the Black Hole Slam in the center of the ring! Abyss stood over Magnus for a moment before leaving the ring, as both officials checked on Magnus. Abyss defeated Brutus Magnus by disqualification in 0:4:58. Rating: *Commercial Break-- X-Division Champion, D’Angelo Dinero, comes out to the ring with the title belt draped over his shoulder. Dinero says that last night was a great night for “The Pope”, because he had said week after week that Mr. Anderson didn’t deserve to challenge him for the title, and he proved that in front of the world. Dinero says that Anderson can go back to sucking on the teat of AJ Styles and Ric Flair, because “The Pope” is moving forward. Dinero says he came out to the ring tonight, with a proposition for Desmond Wolfe. Dinero says that he knows Wolfe doesn’t have any plans for the pay-per-view, and suggests seeing which one of them is better… and putting both the titles on the line at Wicked Games… … This brings out Desmond Wolfe, who is carrying the Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. Wolfe says he just finished putting away Kane, and will never have to worry about him challenging for the title as long as Wolfe holds it, so Dinero’s offer is a “welcome surprise”. But Wolfe wants to know what Dinero has up his sleeve, because they have no issue between them. Dinero assures Wolfe that there is no problem between them; but that he thinks the fans need something exciting. He asks what would be more exciting then seeing the Top Two in the HWL going head-to-head, with both their titles on the line. Wolfe says that he’ll at least think about the offer, and starts to head out of the ring… … but is stopped as Peter Bradshaw reappears on the stage, with a microphone of his own. He says that Dinero is taking a big step, challenging Wolfe - who’s been tearing up the competition lately - to a match with the X-Division Title on the line. But, Bradshaw says that if that’s the Champion’s decision, then it’s up to Wolfe if the match happens or not. Bradshaw remarks on Dinero’s claim that there is no ‘issue” between Dinero and Wolfe, and says that, if they are on the same page they will have no problem teaming up later tonight… in a non-title match against The Hart Dynasty. Bradshaw leaves the stage as Wolfe and Dinero stare at each other in the center of the ring. Commercial BreakAlex Shelley/”The Viper” Randy Orton vs. Yoshi Tatsu/KazShelley and Orton didn’t have the night they were hoping for last night at Downfall, losing in very quick fashion to The Usos. But tonight, they had the chance to make up for their disappointing performance, taking on Tatsu and Kaz, who have been making their unorthodox partnership work for the past several weeks. This match was very fast paced, and brutal at times, as “The Viper” tried to get the chip off his shoulder. Just as Orton was gaining the upper-hand, RIC FLAIR made his way to the ring, and tripped Orton, getting Tatsu and Kaz disqualified. After the match, AJ STYLES and MR. ANDERSON ran down to the ring, and attacked Shelley and Orton, as Tatsu and Kaz looked on in shock. Styles, Anderson, and Flair leave the ring, satisfied with the attack, and head to the back… Alex Shelley &Randy Orton defeated Yoshi Tatsu & Kaz when R. Orton defeated Kaz by disqualification in 0:13:51. Rating: ** ½ [Ric Flair interfered against Randy Orton.]Commercial Break-- Returning from the break, a video package announces that there will be two more qualifying matches for the Wicked Games tomorrow next week, on Anarchy. Wicked Games Qualifying Match Kyle O’Reilly vs. Mr. AndersonAnderson started off the match with an impressive showing of aggression, coming off his attack on Shelley and Orton during the last match. Anderson kept the fight going on O’Reilly, but the HWL newcomer fought back with all he had, wanting to make up for his quick victory against Matt Morgan last night at Downfall. O’Reilly was able to even things up with Anderson, and shocked everyone in the arena when he hit the Brain Buster, and picked up the victory… ensuring himself a spot in the tournament on November 28th. Kyle O’Reilly pinned Mr. Anderson with the Brain Buster in 0:09:56. Rating: *** ¼Commercial BreakNon-Title Match© “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero/ © Desmond Wolfe vs. © The Hart Dynasty (w/Natalya)The crowd was really hyped for tonight’s main event, and they let out a collective groan when a video played on the Jumbotron of D’Angelo Dinero laying, motionless in the hallway backstage, with the X-Division title draped over his body. Peter Bradshaw came out to the stage and announced that the match would still take place, but that he would choose Desmond Wolfe’s partner, settling on Evan Bourne. Wolfe and Bourne worked well as a team, but the crowd certainly let their frustration known. Bourne nearly picked up the victory towards the end of the match, but Natalya distracted the referee, allowing Hart and Kidd to gain the upper hand. They hit the Springboard Hart Attack for the victory. After the match, the lights in the arena went off. When they turned back on, D’Angelo Dinero was laying prone on the stage area. The crowd gasped in shock. Laughter filled the arena as Desmond Wolfe looked around the ringside area, in fear. The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) defeated Evan Bourne & Desmond Wolfe when T. Kidd pinned E. Bourne after the Springboard Hart Attack in 0:18:55. Monday Night Anarchy November 8, 2010 Rose Garden - Portland, Oregon (Attendance: 14,585) -- The beginning and ending segments that took place surrounding last week’s main event are shown. Inside the arena, “Headstrong” plays as fireworks shoot from the stage area. Crowd cheers as the camera shows random signs in the audience. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Portland, the return of the Horizon Wrestling League to U.S. soil. They announce tonight’s two qualifying matches for the Wicked Games tournament: “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan vs. Tyson Kidd, and Yoshi Tatsu vs. “The Viper” Randy Orton. Also tonight, in the main event, Montel Vontavious Porter will face “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero in a non-title match. -- Speaking of “The Pope”… Dinero makes his way to the ring, visibly showing signs from the attack he was the victim of a week ago. Dinero says that he’s not out to play games tonight, and that he knows he’s got a match tonight, but that there’s only one thing on his mind. He says he wants to know who was behind his attack last week. He says that he will stay in the ring all night, until someone comes forward and gets what they have coming. Silence. The crowd begins to boo as Dinero says that he isn’t joking; and that it’s no surprise his attacker isn’t man enough to show his face in front of the crowd, because he wasn’t man enough to come after Dinero face-to-face. Lights go out. Camera flashes from the crowd show action happening in the ring. Lights come back on, revealing Dinero laying on the canvas; the X-Division Title draped over his body. Daniels and Michaels say that things are getting out of hand… Commercial BreakDaffney vs. Velvet SkyThe history between these two Vixens has been well known over the pat few months, with both women winning their share of matches. But, even with Velvet focuses on Angelina Love, two weeks ago at Downfall, she appeared to have unfinished business with Daffney; attacking her during a non-televised dark match before the pay-per-view. Last week, Daffney reciprocated, attacking Velvet backstage, thus shutting up tonight’s contest. Daffney started when she left off last week, as her vicious streak shined brightly, taking the fight outside the ring where she used the ring apron to her advantage. Velvet fought back, ducking a clothesline and hitting a face buster into the canvas! Velvet kept it up, until she went for the Beauty Mark, and Daffney threw her into the turnbuckle. Daffney then hit a top-rope Frankensteiner before finishing Velvet off with the Lobotomy for the 1-2-3. Daffney pinned Velvet Sky with the Lobotomy in 0:14:16. Rating: ** ¾Commercial Break-- Backstage, D’Angelo Dinero is seen holding the back of his head in pain. He kicks over a trash can in frustration, and is stopped by Alisha Hicks. Dinero says that he doesn’t know who is behind it, but that he is vowing revenge on whoever is responsible for it. He says that everyone should be on the look out, because if anyone looks at him funny - or says the wrong thing to him - they won’t like what happens next. Dinero walks away, continuing to assault inanimate objects along the hallway. Wicked Games Qualifying Match Tyson Kidd (w/Natalya) vs. “The Blueprint” Matt MorganTyson Kidd got the upper hand, attacking Morgan before the bell rang, trying to surprise his much-larger opponent. Kidd’s efforts were short-lived when KAZ and YOSHI TATSU made their way down to ringside. Morgan took over, sending Kidd outside the ring, where Kaz and Tatsu watched on; Natalya tried to even the score, attacking Morgan from behind, but to no avail. Morgan kept up the attack, but missed with a plancha to the outside, busting himself open upon contact! Morgan was able to fight back, and with blood pouring from his head, evened up the match. It went back-and-forth for the rest of the contest, until Morgan hit the Carbon Footprint… but Natalya put Kidd’s foot on the rope to stop the pinfall! Morgan picked up Kidd as Natalya entered the ring with a chair. Morgan ducked out the way as Natalya swung, denting the chair of Kidd’s head! Morgan threw Natalya out of the ring and connected with vicious power bomb, and went for the cover, but Kidd was able to kick out at 2 ½! Natalya tried to trip Morgan, from the outside, but the referee let the match continue. The slight disruption was enough for Kidd to hit a leg drop to the knee, and he quickly hit the Springboard Elbowdrop. Outside the ring, Kaz got the referee’s attention as Tatsu climbed up and hit a flying elbow drop onto Kidd! Tatsu rolled Morgan on top of Kidd as the referee turned around and counted the three! After the match, Yoshi and Kaz left the ringside area as Morgan looked on in shock. Across the ring, Natalya screamed, slapping the mat in frustration. Matt Morgan pinned Tyson Kidd after outside interference in 0:16:39. Rating: *** [Natalya interfered against Matt Morgan.] [Yoshi Tatsu & Kaz interfered against Tyson Kidd.]Commercial Break-- HWL Heavyweight Champion, Desmond Wolfe comes out to the ring as Anarchy returns. Wolfe says that he wants to has two things to get off his chest, and they both involve D’Angelo Dinero. First, Wolfe says that Dinero brought up a good point last week, when Dinero said that the fans would love to see the top two in the HWL go head-to-head, with both titles on the line. Wolfe said that he’s been a dominating champion since re-winning the belt, and that he isn’t concerned about who wins the Wicked Games tournament. And, with that, Wolfe accepts Dinero’s challenge for the pay-per-view. Secondly, Wolfe says that he is as shocked as everyone else since last week, after seeing what happened to Dinero. But, Wolfe says, to put Dinero’s - and everyone else’s - mind at ease… Wolfe was in no way responsible for what happened last week. Wolfe says that he hopes Dinero can find out who is behind it, and clear his mind before November 28th. Commercial BreakThe Usos (w/Tamina) vs. AJ Styles/Mr. Anderson (w/Ric Flair & Chelsea)This was the first time Styles and Anderson had teamed up since joining forces a few months back, as they officially threw their hats into the Tag Team Title ring. The match started with a ref bump quite early, as both teams battled it out in the ring. Anderson and Jimmy Uso battled outside the ring. Uso connected with a Samoan Drop onto the concrete floor, but failed to keep the assault going, instead choosing to head to the top rope. Uso went for the Superfly Splash, but Anderson rolled away! But Tamina, who was nearby, used a bit of quick thinking, and nailed Anderson with a low-blow; and Jey Uso, watching from the apron, jumped down and irish-whipped Anderson into the ring post, opening up a small gash on Anderson’s forehead! Anderson was able to tag out, finally, and crumpled to the canvas as Styles and Jey Uso went to battle. Neither of the fresher men could get the better of the other until Styles got in a low blow of his own as the referee’s back was turned. Styles quickly tagged out to Anderson, who was still reeling from the blood loss; and was no match for the recovering Jey Uso. Uso ducked a clothesline and hit a Samoan Drop, before climbing to the top rope, and this time, hitting the Superfly Splash for the 1-2-3! The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) defeated AJ Styles & Mr. Anderson when Jey pinned Anderson with the Superfly Splash in 0:16:09. Rating: *** ½Commercial Break-- A promo for next week’s episode of Anarchy announces that there are four more qualifying matches before Wicked Games, and that two more matches will be taking place in Sacramento. Wicked Games Qualifying Match Yoshi Tatsu vs. “The Viper” Randy OrtonOrton had control of the match from the opening bell, and even tried to “punt” Yoshi in order to pick up the pinfall! But, Tatsu was too close to the ropes, and just managed to get his foot up to stop the count. Yoshi was intent on giving Orton a fight tonight, and that’s exactly what he did, fighting back, and stunning Orton with an enzuigiri to the face! The offensive output was short-lived as both men were taken down with a double clothesline. Orton was the first one up, but Yoshi had the wherewithal to send Orton to the concrete outside. “The Viper”, though, was still the fresher of the two, and used the ringside surroundings to wear down Tatsu before sending him back into the ring. Orton wasted no time, after that, and hit the RKO for the win. Randy Orton pinned Yoshi Tatsu with the RKO in 0:17:06. Rating: ***Commercial BreakNon-Title Match Montel Vontavious Porter vs. © D’Angelo DineroThese two men have known each other very well for a while now, and tonight - with no belt on the line - it was a test to see who wanted to beat each other bad enough. Porter came in with the obvious advantage, as Dinero had been attacked earlier in the evening. But, Dinero didn’t earn the X-Division Title by being easily put away, even with injuries. Dinero fought back, as best he could, and was able to fend off MVP for a while, even garnering some offense for himself. But, MVP found Dinero’s weak spot - his lower back - and pounded away at the champion, before hitting the Playmaker to pick up an impressive victory. Montel Vontavious Porter pinned D’Angelo Dinero with the Playmaker in 0:09:07. Monday Night Anarchy November 15, 2010 Power Balance Pavilion - Sacramento, California Attendance: 10,217 -- A video package from last week shows the second mysterious attack on D’Angelo Dinero, and the ensuing victory by Montel Vontavious Porter in the non-title main event. “Headstrong” then begins to play inside the arena as fireworks shoot from the stage. The camera pans around the audience as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Sacramento, just 13 days away from “Wicked Games”. They say that everyone in the back is questioning who is behind the recent attacks on the X-Division Champion, and starting to worry for their own safety. This weeks qualifying matches are announced, and tonight AJ Styles will take on Kaz, and Evan Bourne will face David Hart Smith. Also, tonight, Tommy Dreamer - newly signed at Downfall - will make his HWL television debut in a non-title match against Heavyweight Champion, Desmond Wolfe! -- For the third straight week, D’ANGELO DINERO starts off the program; this time, coming down minus his usual attire or the X-Division Title belt. Dinero says that he’s had enough of the sneak attacks, and that he’s no longer coming out here to pander to the crowd; that at this point, he doesn’t care what they think about him. He says that the person standing before them is the same person that grew up in the streets of Jacksonville, fighting to survive, and that he is willing to do it again… right now. Dinero says that anyone can attack him from behind, but that they don’t have the guts to do it face-to-face, because they don’t want the fight to be on even ground. The lights inside the arena begin to flicker, sending shockwaves through the crowd. A figure is seen entering the ring, attacking Dinero from behind. In the flickering light, both figures go outside the ring and start brawling up the ramp, throwing each other into the guardrails, jockeying for position. From the stage, the sound of someone’s body crashing onto the steel echoes through the arena before a distorted voice says that, soon enough, Dinero’s attacker will reveal himself. The lights stop flickering, and turn on to reveal Dinero laying motionless on the stage. Medical personnel rush to his aide as Anarchy goes to commercials. Commercial BreakNon-Title MatchDaffney vs. © NatalyaThe match started with back and forth action, as Daffney was trying to keep moving up the ladder, after defeating Velvet Sky last week. Daffney came out as the aggressor, repeatedly choking Natalya against the ropes - but breaking the hold before the five-count. That was, until Natalya reversed an arm breaker and connected with the Michinoku Driver, but only for a two-count. The champion stayed on Daffney, hitting a front-layout suplex, for another two. Natalya then locked in an impressive airplane spin for nearly 30 seconds, before dropping Daffney to the canvas. Both Vixens were affected by the move, but Natalya kept the advantage before throwing Daffney outside the ring. On the outside, Natalya hit a power bomb AND a power slam onto the concrete! But still, the champion wasn’t finished, continuing to assault Daffney as the referee counted to 10, counting both Vixens out! As the bell sounded, ending the match, Natalya continued her attack as GAIL KIM rushed down to the ring, and pulled Natalya away from Daffney. Kim and Natalya began to brawl at ringside as HWL officials rushed down, breaking up them, and escorting them away as Anarchy went to commercials. Natalya and Daffney battled to a double countout in 0:09:43. Rating: * ¾Commercial Break-- Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith, who are fuming about the events that took place last week. Kidd said that Yoshi Tatsu and Kaz had absolutely no business being at ringside last week, and that they cost Kidd a chance to enter the Wicked Games tournament. Kidd says that he will be joining Smith at ringside tonight, and that Kaz and Yoshi will get what they have coming. Wicked Games Qualifying Match “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles (w/Chelsea & Ric Flair) vs. KazTyson Kidd kept his word, making an appearance at ringside moments after the bell rang to start the match, and his presence had a significant impact on Kaz. Kaz fell victim to the figure-four leglock minutes into the match, but was somehow able to fight his way back. The match eventually spilled outside the ring - and Tyson Kidd remained away from the action - as both men were nearly counted out. Kaz was able to hit the Wave of the Future on the outside of the ring, but instead of leaving Styles there to be counted out, he rolled Styles into the ring. Kidd, on the other side of the ring, rolled a weapon into the ring, as Ric Flair distracted the referee. Styles took the weapon and knocked Kaz to the canvas, covering him for the 1-2-3! After the match Styles, Flair and Chelsea quickly left ringside, as Kidd stared at Kaz’s motionless body inside the ring. AJ Styles pinned Kaz after hitting him with a foreign object in 0:07:44. Rating: *** ¼ [Tyson Kidd interfered against Kaz.]Commercial Break-- “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan makes his way down to the ring as Anarchy returns from commercials. Morgan says that, a few weeks back, he had his sights set on making Steve Corino pay for attacking him out in the ring, but that he got his aggression out at Downfall against Kyle O’Reilly. Morgan says that he had warned everyone - week after week - that he would start taking people out until he got the chance to prove himself, again, in the HWL. Morgan says that he will get the chance to do that at Wicked Games, by winning the right to challenge for the Heavyweight Title. Morgan says that he was the first-ever HWL Heavyweight Champion, and that it’s been a long, long time since he was back in the title picture. Morgan says that he’s seen the other athletes, making up the field so far, and that he’s very familiar with each and every one of them. Morgan says that he, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton all did battle over the Heavyweight Title last year; he says that he’s already beaten Kyle O’Rielly; and he says that who else is going to know Abyss other then someone who used to team with him? Morgan says that he will not be taken lightly in this tournament; and that when his arm is raised at the end of Wicked Games, he will told everyone that he told them so. Commercial BreakThe British Invasion vs. Alex Shelley/”The Viper” Randy OrtonThe British Invasion came up short in their quest for the Tag Team Titles at Downfall, and were looking to regain some momentum for themselves tonight. Shelley and Orton didn’t fair as well either, losing in humiliating fashion at the pay-per-view; but Orton earned himself a spot in the Wicked Games tournament, redeeming himself personally. Tonight was his chance to do so as a team. With both teams wanting to do the same thing, it made their plans very hard to accomplish. Sensing that neither team could be the other away, the fight went outside, but it didn’t last long as the time limit expired, and the referee called for the bell. That didn’t stop either team, as all four men continued to brawl outside the ring. Rob Terry tossed Alex Shelley over the guardrail, while Orton worked over Magnus. Terry grabbed Orton from behind and whipped him into the ring post, before he Magnus beat “The Viper” down. Magnus and Terry left ringside as the referee - and other officials - checked on Orton and Shelley. Alex Shelley & Randy Orton and The British Invasion battled to a draw in 0:20:00. Rating: ** ½Commercial Break-- An announcement for next’s week announces that there are only two qualifying matches remaining for the Wicked Games tournament; and that both the Women’s and Tag Team Titles will be on the line! Wicked Games Qualifying Match Evan Bourne vs. David Hart Smith (w/Natalya)David Hart Smith quickly earned himself a spot in the Wicked Games tournament, after Evan Bourne missed an attempted baseball slide, hitting his head on the concrete floor. Smith easily rolled back in as the referee - who had been knocked down moments earlier - got back to his feet and counted Bourne out. David Hart Smith defeated Evan Bourne by countout in 0:06:24. Dreamer started off strong, and had the upper hand, with these two never having stepped into the ring together. But, tonight, Dreamer’s hardcore past - and abilities - weren’t enough to put away the Champion. Wolfe connected with the Jawbreaker Lariat to pick up the 1-2-3. Monday Night Anarchy November 22, 2010 Save Mart Center (Fresno State University) - Fresno, California Attendance: 13,530 -- “Headstrong” plays as the camera shows the inside of the darkened Save Mart Center. Fireworks explode into the air as the crowd goes crazy. Signs are shown as the smoke clears. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to the Fresno State campus, and announce that tonight, D’Angelo Dinero will take part in a non-title match in the main event; but his opponent has not been revealed as of the start of the show. Also, the final two qualifying matches for Sunday’s tournament will take place as Montel Vontavious Porter takes on Alex Shelley, and Ted DiBiase squares off against Kane. -- Montel Vontavious Porter makes his way to the ring, with a mixed reaction from the crowd. He says that everyone is well aware of his past, before he entered the wrestling business. He says that he had spent time behind bars, and that it taught him to cherish every moment he could, because he didn’t know when they were going to be taken away. Porter says that, since leaving prison, he had made good on all the chances he was given - in and out of wrestling. Porter said that he had been given a chance, in the HWL, just a few weeks back, to challenge for the Heavyweight Title; but he put up against a very angry monster, with something to prove., and Porter came out with the short end of the stick. Porter said that, he didn’t bitch and complain about what happened to him; he just knew that he would have to work his way back up, earning himself another chance at the title. He said that his second chance is coming tonight, and all he has to do is beat Alex Shelley, then Porter will find himself a place in the Wicked Games tournament on Sunday night. Porter said that he wasn’t going to get his hopes up, because there are going to be seven other men who all want the same thing. He just said that he’d be happy with the chance to be one of the eight. Porter said that, over the years, he has played his cards right, and then now is the time for his hard work - and personal change - to help him achieve this new goal. Commercial BreakHWL Women’s Title Match Gail Kim vs. © NatalyaSeconds into the match, Kim locked in an abdominal stretch, but Natalya was able to get to the ropes, before rocking Kim with a hard slap and gaining a quick, shocking two-count. Natalya stayed on Kim, wearing her down with various submission holds; but Kim was able to get hit a spinning head scissors to get a two-count of her own. Back and forth action. Natalya then catches Kim with the Michinoku Driver and gets only a two-count, but the damage had clearly been done. Natalya wasted no time in locking in the airplane spin, and Kim quickly passed out, and the referee called for the bell. Natalya made Gail Kim submit to an airplane spin in 0:09:28. Rating: **** (Natalya retained the HWL Women’s Title.)Commercial Break-- Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with X-Division Champion, D’Angelo Dinero. Dinero said he was furious tonight, because everyone in the HWL has seen what he has had to endure over the past several weeks; and now Peter Bradshaw wants to put him in a match against an unknown opponent? Dinero says that Bradshaw doesn’t give a damn about what happens to him; and that the people - who he thought was behind him - clearly are not. Dinero says that it doesn’t matter who is opponent is tonight, he’s more concerned with who’s been trying to take him out… Wicked Games Qualifying Match Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Alex ShelleyShelley came out strong tonight, wanting to be one of the final two to enter the #1 Contenders tournament this Sunday night; and he showed he was serious by connecting with The Dominator very early into the match. But the move placed MVP too close to the ropes, and broke up the count at two. Porter worked his way back into the match, before being taken by surprise with a spinning head scissors for another two-count. Porter slid outside the ring, composing himself, before re-entering and starting on even ground again. Porter took charge after hitting a superplex and getting a very near two-count. Porter kept up the attack, and sensing Shelley could no longer fight back, connected with the Playmaker. Porter made the cover, and earned himself a spot in the tournament on Sunday night. Montel Vontavious Porter pinned Alex Shelley with the Playmaker in 0:07:08. Rating: *** ½Commercial Break-- Coming back from break, AJ Styles, Mr. Anderson, Ric Flair, and Chelsea all make their way out to the ring, where AJ takes the microphone. AJ says that it’s a shame that he’s the only one out of the group to have made it to the Wicked Games tournament, but it wasn’t for a lack of effort on Mr. Anderson’s part. Styles says that Anderson is still trying to clear away the cobwebs, after being away from the ring for so long, and that things like this are to be expected. Styles says, that soon, Anderson will be challenging for a title again in the HWL. But, before that time comes, it’s Styles’ turn to get the Heavyweight Title back. Styles says that he heard Matt Morgan comment about being the first-ever HWL Heavyweight Champion, last year; but says that Morgan hasn’t done anything since the company made its return. Styles says that he has already won the Heavyweight Title again, and that he’s the first person ever hold the belt twice. He says that, if Morgan wants to hold the belt a second time, then at some point, Morgan and Styles will have to face off during the tournament. And, Styles says that, if he doesn’t win the tournament, but keeps “The Blueprint” from doing so too, it’ll be a victory in his book. Commercial BreakHWL Tag Team Title Match Yoshi Tatsu/Kaz vs. © The Hart Dynasty (w/Natalya)Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith have been very, very impressive over the last few months, as they have securely dominated the rest of the HWL Tag Team division. But, tonight, they were faced with one of their toughest opponents in recent months. Yoshi and Kaz have had an up-and-down history since they decided to form a team and go after the tag team titles; and over the past few weeks, their team has become more of a cohesive unit. Tonight, they proved that they would stop at nothing to show the HWL that they were serious contenders. Yoshi and Kaz took the fight to the champs, and nearly lasted the entire 20 minutes allotted, but David Hart Smith connected with a Saito Suplex in the center of the ring on Yoshi Tatsu, and went for the cover. Kaz, who had been worn down just moments before, tried to interfere, but was a second too late, as Smith and Kidd were awarded yet another successful title defense. After the match, Kaz fell to his knees, visibly upset with himself, as Kidd, Smith and Natalya celebrated outside the ring. The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) defeated Yoshi Tatsu & Kaz when D.H. Smith pinned Yoshi with the Saito Suplex in 0:18:28. Rating: ** ¾ (The Hart Dynasty retained the HWL Tag Team Titles.)Commercial Break-- The final preview for “Wicked Games” is shown, highlighting the seven of eight men that will be taking part in the tournament; and also the “title vs. title” match between D’Angelo Dinero and Desmond Wolfe. Wicked Games Qualifying Match Ted DiBiase vs. “The Big Red Monster” KaneThese two met just a few weeks ago, and Kane started where he had left off against DiBiase tonight. However, the match never fully got underway as CODY RHODES made his debut to the HWL, running down to the ring, and pulling the top rope down, sending DiBiase flying to the outside. The referee called for the bell as Rhodes assaulted DiBiase at ringside. Furious, Kane exited the ring - causing Rhodes to hurry off through the crowd - and pulled DiBiase to his feet. Kane then hoisted DiBiase in the air, and sent him crashing onto the concrete with a Choke Slam From Hell. Kane stood over DiBiase as the referee slid out of the ring to check on him. Ted DiBiase defeated Kane by disqualification in 0:00:59. Rating: ** [Cody Rhodes interfered against Ted DiBiase.]Commercial BreakNon-Title Match ?? Vs. © “The Pope” D’Angelo DineroAll night long, “The Pope” was anticipating who his opponent would be. But, neither he nor the Fresno crowd were expecting “The Olympic Gold Medalist” KURT ANGLE! Angle made his return to the HWL tonight, six days after dropping one-half of the PCW Tag Team Titles, and started right were he left off, coming out fighting against the X-Division Champion. The referee took a hard bump early in the match, and that allowed both of these men to come out swinging, wanting to one-up the other. However, an errant elbow caught Dinero off guard, and sent him to the canvas. Angle quickly threw “The Pope” outside the ring as the referee was getting to his feet, and waited as the ten-count was reached. Kurt Angle defeated D’Angelo Dinero by countout in 0:08:05. HWL Wicked Games PPV November 28, 2010 STAPLES Center - Los Angeles, California Attendance: 13,151 -- A video package plays, with various HWL Superstars describing their feelings about being a champion. Photos of Matt Morgan and AJ Styles with the Heavyweight Title are shown; photos of Montel Vontavious Porter with the X-Division titleare shown; and photos of David Hart Smith with the Tag Team Title are shown; and finally, a photo of the HWL Heavyweight Title, sitting on a pedestal is shown. Fireworks explode from the stage as the camera pans around the STAPLES Center, showing off the fans and the various signs behind held up in the distance. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to the “City of Angels”, and to the first-ever Wicked Games tournament, where tonight, eight men will compete for the right to challenge for the Heavyweight Title, at next month’s pay-per-view. They also discuss tonight’s main event; also a first in the HWL: a title versus title match between D’Angelo Dinero and Desmond Wolfe. Wicked Games Quaterfinal Match “The Monster” Abyss vs. Ted DiBiaseTed DiBiase found himself in a hole on his way to even getting into the tournament tonight. On Monday night, he was up against Kane, but was lucky enough to only last a minute in the ring with “The Big Red Monster”. However, DiBiase was unlucky in that, his former tag team partner - Cody Rhodes - returned and attacked him, giving him the top spot in the tournament. Tonight, though, DiBiase was up against another “Monster”, and didn’t have to worry about Cody Rhodes, who was not in the building. DiBiase came out strong tonight, but Abyss’s power and size made it tough for DiBiase to gain any advantage. Try as he might, DiBiase was never able to put Abyss away, but “The Monster” wound up being the cause of his own demise, holding a choke lift past the five-count, causing the referee to call for the disqualification. After the match, Abyss dropped DiBiase onto the canvas and stood over him, as the referee got between them. Abyss left the ring as DiBiase slowly rolled to the concrete outside. Ted DiBiase defeated Abyss by disqualification in 0:12:56. Rating: * ¾A video package is shown, highlighting the victories of Montel Vontavious Porter and Kyle O’Reilly to ensure their spots in the Wicked Games Tournament. Wicked Games Quarterfinal Match Kyle O’Reilly vs. Montel Vontavious PorterThis match was a big opportunity for Kyle O’Reilly, who has been in the HWL for just under a month, but he was stepping into the ring with a former X-Division Champion tonight. From the get-go, the pressure of being in such a high-stakes situation seemed to have gotten to O’Reilly, as he was unable to garner ANY offense against Porter. Porter dominated this match, and quickly put O’Reilly away with the Playmaker, to advance to the Semifinals. Montel Vontavious Porter pinned Kyle O’Reilly with the Playmaker in 0:09:06. Rating: ** ¾A video package is shown of Matt Morgan’s and AJ Styles’s victories, on their way to the Wicked Games tournament. Josh and Scott discuss the history between the two of them, saying that it’s been over a year since they battled for the Heavyweight Title; and tonight, they will see who wants it more. Wicked Games Quarterfinal Match “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan vs. “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles (w/Chelsea & Ric Flair)Monday night, at Anarchy, AJ Styles said that he hoped at some point, he and Morgan would face off during the tournament - rekindling their past feud for the Heavyweight Title. Tonight, his wish was granted in the very first round of the night, and neither men appeared willing to let the other one advance. The action went back and forth throughout the entirety of the match, until Morgan used the ringside area to his advance - even busting Styles open above the eye! The assault outside the ring clearly wore down Styles, and Morgan was able to connect with the Carbon Footprint, to move on to the Semifinals. Matt Morgan pinned AJ Styles with the Carbon Footprint in 0:17:28. Rating: *** ¼A video package is shown of David Hart Smith’s and Randy Orton’s victories, entering them into the Wicked Games tournament. Josh and Scott discuss the possibility of David Hart Smith earning himself a title shot next month; and, if all goes well, becoming a double-champion… which would only give The Hart Dynasty more ammunition… Wicked Games Quarterfinal Match David Hart Smith (w/Natalya) vs. “The Viper” Randy OrtonThe final match of the Quarterfinals saw two men who were on separate ends of the “luck” spectrum. Orton has had his share of good fortune since arriving in the HWL, but as of late, he’s found himself on the short end of some very embarrassing moments inside the ring. Tonight, Orton was hoping to change his luck around, and get one step closer to the Heavyweight Title. But, his opponent just happened to be one-half of the longest-reigning - and current - Tag Team Champions. David Hart Smith’s luck couldn’t have been better over the past several months; or that of the entire Hart Dynasty for that matter. But tonight, he was the only member with a chance to getting closer to having the family from Calgary holding every single title in the HWL. Smith’s luck was a little more obvious tonight, and thanks to some outside help from Natalya, Smith connected with a power slam that put away “The Viper”. David Hart Smith pinned Randy Orton after a power slam in 0:11:00. Rating: *** [Natalya interfered against Randy Orton.]Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with Ted DiBiase, who says that he is very aware of the fact that the odds are stacked against him. He says that no one else has had to fight two of the biggest men to ever grace the HWL, and that he’s about to face his third. DiBiase acknowledges that Matt Morgan has a giant chip on his shoulder, and that will make things tougher tonight. But, he says that if he is able to get past Morgan, DiBiase should be awarded the title of No. 1 Contender… hands down. Also backstage, Tim Hanson is seen with Heavyweight Champion, Desmond Wolfe. Wolfe says that tonight is going to be a huge night for either himself or D’Angelo Dinero, because either one of them could walk out both of the top titles in the company. But, he says, the true winners of tonight will be the fans, who are paying witness to an event like no other. Wolfe says that it doesn’t matter who wins the tournament tonight, because he doesn’t plan on letting go of the Heavyweight Title - or the X-Division Title, if he wins it - any time soon. Wicked Games Semifinal Match Ted DiBiase vs. “The Blueprint” Matt MorganDiBiase’s road to the No. 1 Contendership got a little more difficult in the semis, when he faced off with his third “giant” of the HWL. DiBiase was still showing signs of fatigue from his match earlier in the evening, and Matt Morgan appeared ready to continue his path of destruction as he manhandled DiBiase all over the ring. DiBiase tried as hard as he could to fight back, but he physically wasn’t able to match Morgan. Sensing his shot at the Heavyweight Title was slipping away, DiBiase knocked down the referee after getting a quick two-count on Morgan; and moments later, the referee called for the bell, disqualifying DiBiase. After the match, DiBiase argued with the referee, as Matt Morgan set up behind him. As DiBiase turned to leave the ring, Morgan connected with the Carbon Footprint, sending DiBiase to the canvas. Morgan left the ring, awaiting his opponent in the Finals. Matt Morgan defeated Ted DiBiase by disqualification in 0:08:23. Rating: * ¼A video package is shown, highlighting the tournament matches that have taken place tonight. Josh and Scott say that, no matter what, it’s going to be former champion versus former champion… or current champion… in tonight’s final. Wicked Games Semifinal Match Montel Vontavious Porter vs. David Hart Smith (w/Natalya)Both of these men made their way to this match with impressive victories in the quarterfinals, and with two matches remaining between them and the chance to battle the Heavyweight Champion next month, they laid it all on the line. However, Smith’s luck continued to be with him in this match, as they match quickly went outside the ring; and with Porter in control, Smith was the target of a somersault body block. But, with help on the outside, Smith was pulled out of harm’s way before Porter could connect with the move! Porter smashed hard onto to the concrete, knocking the wind out of himself, as Smith rolled into the ring and the referee counted to ten. David Hart Smith defeated Montel Vontavious Porter by countout in 0:02:54. Rating: ** ½Backstage, Tim Hanson is seen with “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan, who says that he has already my good on his promise of keeping AJ Styles away from the Heavyweight Title. He says that, now, his goal is to beat David Hart Smith, and to return to the main event in the HWL… a place where he belongs. Also backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with X-Division Champion, D’Angelo Dinero. Dinero says that there is a lot of things running through his mind right now. He says, of course, the thought of becoming a double-champion is weighing on his mind; and that it is one thing he wants to accomplish. But, Dinero says, that the main thing he wants to figure out is who is behind the weeks of attacks ever since Downfall. Dinero says that, one way or another, he’s going to find out who his attacker is; and when he does, there’s going to be a whole lot of hell to pay. Wicked Games Final “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan vs. David Hart Smith (w/Natalya)A great night of matches had led to this moment, and the crowd in the arena could’ve have been more ready to see which one of these two men wanted to headline “Caged Rage” next month. Anticipation filled the arena, but Matt Morgan was content on making this match end as quickly as possible, ensuring himself a shot at the Heavyweight Title. And that’s exactly what he did. Both men came out swinging, but an errant elbow to Smith’s jaw took him off his feet, and Morgan was able to capitalize, hitting a power slam for the three-count, and a guaranteed shot at the winner of tonight’s main event. Matt Morgan pinned David Hart Smith after a power slam in 0:04:04. Rating: ***A preview for the up-coming “Caged Rage” pay-per-view is shown. The event will take place on December 26th, live from Houston, Texas. Title vs. Title Match © “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero vs. © Desmond WolfeA lot of questions were raised in the build-up to this match: would Dinero and Wolfe keep their attitudes about each other the same, or would the chance of holding two titles make them lose focus? Would Dinero’s attacker be revealed? And, how would this match shape the HWL afterward? Only one of those questions were answered tonight, as it was revealed that KANE had been behind Dinero’s attacks over the past month! “The Big Red Machine” came down to the ring, startling Desmond Wolfe, but then shocking everyone in the STAPLES Center by attacking Dinero from behind. The referee had no choice but to call for the bell, awarding the match to “The Pope”. However, due to the disqualification, both titles stayed with their respective owners, and the crowd booed heavily as Kane entered the ring and began to assault Dinero. Wolfe rolled out of the ring, grabbed the Heavyweight Title, and made his way to the back as HWL officials rushed to the ring, trying to assist Dinero. D’Angelo Dinero defeated Desmond Wolfe by disqualification in 0:03:53. Rating: ** ¾ (Desmond Wolfe retained the HWL Heavyweight Title.) (D’Angelo Dinero retained the HWL X-Division Title.) Monday Night Anarchy November 29, 2010 Honda Center - Anaheim, California Attendance: 13,567 A video recap of last night’s Wicked Games tournament is shown, highlighting the matches that took place. A clip of the final moments from the tournament finale is shown, as Matt Morgan power slams David Hart Smith to the canvas, before picking up the deciding pin-fall. Following that, photos from the from “Title vs. Title” main event are shown, including pictures of KANE revealing himself as D’ANGELO DINERO’S attacker. A photo of DESMOND WOLFE leaving the ring, with the Heavyweight Title is shown before the screen goes black. “Headstrong” by Trapt plays as the Monday Night Anarchy video montage is shown. Fireworks shoot from the stage as the camera goes inside the darkened arena. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to “The Pond”, where tonight, the new number one contender for the Women’s Title will be announced; and “The Big Red Machine” Kane, will be taking on Montel Vontavious Porter in tonight’s main event. “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan starts off the show, coming out to the ring with a microphone, and soaking in the mixed reaction he gets from the crowd. Morgan says that last night was the culmination of weeks worth of talking; of proclaiming that his time would come once again in the HWL. Morgan said that, last night, he paved his way through three other men… all to prove that he was the most worthy of facing Desmond Wolfe for the Heavyweight Title. Morgan said that 17 months ago, he stood inside this ring as the HWL Heavyweight Champion. And, that on the day after Christmas, he would be giving himself a gift: he would be putting the title belt back where it belongs… on his shoulder. Morgan is then interrupted as KURT ANGLE appears on-stage, stunning Morgan. Angle says that he’s surprised to see the look on Morgan’s face, as he had to have been aware of Angle’s arrival last week. Angle says that he’s been away for a little bit too long, but that he was busy becoming a Heavyweight and Tag Team Champion during his stint in Premiere Championship Wrestling. Angle says that he proved what he wanted to prove by signing his contract with the developmental league, and that now he’s back to finally finish what he and Morgan started over the summer. But, Angle says that he’s noticed that Morgan may have a bigger issue on his hands: winning the Heavyweight Title. Angle says that he’s never won the Heavyweight Title in the HWL, but that he doesn’t want the title just yet. He says that he has returned to the HWL for one reason: to lure Matt Morgan back into the ring for their third - and final - match… to see who is the best wrestler of the two. Angle says that he’s out, tonight, to offer up an interesting question to “The Blueprint”. Angle asks Morgan which match he would want more at Caged Rage on December 26th: to face Desmond Wolfe for the Heavyweight Title, or to face Angle for the final time, inside the confines of a steel cage? Angle leaves the stage, after posing the question, as Morgan stares straight ahead. Daniels and Michaels wonder if Angle has put a detour into Morgan’s path to the Heavyweight Title… Commercial Break#1 Contender’s Match Vixen’s Battle RoyalTonight, all of the HWL’s Vixens were in action, battling it out to see who would earn the right to challenge Natalya for the Women’s Title at Caged Rated on December 26th. All five of these lovely women appeared to be on their game tonight, as no one was able to gain any control over the Battle Royal rules. Each Vixen only eliminated one of their counterparts, until it came down to former friends - and tag team partners - Velvet Sky and Angelina Love. Their history has been very turbulent over the past couple months, and tonight, it was up to them to see who would be the new Number One Contender. For nearly three tough minutes, both Vixens gave it their all, but in the end, Angelina Love was able to use her frustration from her loss to Velvet last month at Downfall, to give her the edge she needed, clothes-lining her to the concrete below. After the match, Angelina celebrated the victory inside the ring, as Velvet shook off the cobwebs and made her way to the backstage area. Angelina Love won a 5-woman Battle Royal: X Gail threw out Sarita in 0:00:14. X Daffney threw out Gail in 0:07:22. X Sky threw out Daffney after a sleeper hold reverse mat slam in 0:11:02. X Love threw out Sky in 0:13:27. Rating: *** ¼Commercial BreakBackstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with CODY RHODES. Rhodes says that he knows that the people in HWL - and the people who are fans of the company - may not have been expecting him to return to the company after the events that took place between himself and Ted DiBiase - both in the HWL and in PCW - but, that he decided to come back, just like Kurt Angle, for just one reason. Rhodes says that, for weeks, he was being blamed for Legacy’s continued failure inside the ring; and that DiBiase blamed Rhodes for them losing the tag team titles back in July. Rhodes says that DiBiase was never the teammate he should’ve been; that he was always looking out for himself, and that he never took admitted failure on his own part. Rhodes says that DiBiase was just like his father… always putting the blame on someone else, even though he knew deep down, that he was the problem. Rhodes says that he returned last week in order to get his hands on DiBiase once and for all; and to finally prove which of them were better when it mattered most. Rhodes tells DiBiase to watch his back, because things were just getting started… “The Cornfed Meathead” Skip Sheffield vs. “The Innovator of Violence” Tommy DreamerThe crowd in Anaheim was shocked to see the return of Skip Sheffield tonight, as he stepped into the ring with Dreamer, who was looking for his first victory in the company. Sheffield was making his return two months after leaving the company due to an injury he endured during his debut match. The time away clearly helped him heal his injury, but outside of a few power moves in the middle of the match, it seemed as if he had not be able to train properly since the injury occurred. Dreamer connected with his second Dreamer DDT of the night to pick up the 1-2-3. Tommy Dreamer pinned Skip Sheffield with the Dreamer DDT in 0:05:30. Rating: ** ½Commercial BreakReturning from the break, the arena goes dark as fire shoots from the stage, and Josh and Scott hint that only one man can be coming out to the ring. KANE approaches the ring, and enters with a microphone, as the arena lights come back on. The crowd boos “The Big Red Machine” as he makes his way around the ring; a sadistic smile crossing his lips. Kane says that he did what he did last night to send a message. He says that his message was intended for Desmond Wolfe; but, because of the ruling that he can no longer challenge for the Heavyweight Title - as long as Wolfe is champion - then he had no other choice but to turn his attention elsewhere for the time being. Kane says that D’Angelo Dinero just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time; and that he can blame the X-Division Title draped over his shoulder as the reason why he has come under Kane’s attacks. Kane says that since he can’t get his hands on Wolfe just yet, that the second-highest member of the roster will have to face his wrath. Kane says that Dinero will have his chance at redemption, but only if the X-Division Title is on the line. Kane says that he has to give credit to Desmond Wolfe, in that Wolfe never backed down from Kane’s challenges. Kane wonders if “The Pope” is going to be the same kind of champion… Commercial Break“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles/Mr. Anderson (w/Chelsea & Ric Flair) vs. The Usos (w/Tamina)Ric Flair and Chelsea sent their charges out to the ring tonight, hoping to get better results then their debut as a tag team, but Styles and Anderson found themselves up against a team that has started to make a name for itself over the last few weeks. The Usos came into this match with the title of Number One Contenders barely out of their grasps. A victory over these two, well-developed stars, would boost them into title contention. The match was very evenly fought, with members of both teams finding a way to kick out of their opponents’ finishing moves; but the match was ultimately left to none of the four athletes involved. Toward the end of the match, Styles connected with the Styles Clash and went for the cover, only for Tamina to slip Jey’s foot onto the bottom rope, breaking the count. Minutes later, after making the hot tag, Jimmy hit a beautiful Samoan Drop on Styles, followed up by the Superfly Splash. However, feeling the urge to test the referee herself, Chelsea jumped onto the ring apron, and distracted him from making the three count. Instead of sending Chelsea to the back, the referee called for the bell, giving the match to The Usos! After the match, Ric Flair jumped onto the apron to argue with the official as Mr. Anderson ran across the ring and blindsided Jey Uso off the apron. Anderson and Styles then assaulted Jimmy Uso: Styles connected with the Styles Clash before Mr. Anderson hit a swanton off the second rope. Styles and Anderson stood over Jimmy, celebrating, as the crowd roared their disapproval. But, as they made their way up the ramp, they couldn’t deny the fact that they had given The Usos the number one spot in the tag team division. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) defeated AJ Styles & Mr. Anderson when Jimmy defeated Styles via disqualification in 0:10:40. Rating: *** ¼ [Tamina interfered against AJ Styles.] [Chelsea interfered against Jimmy Uso.]Commercial BreakBackstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with HWL Owner, Peter Bradshaw. Bradshaw says that he is very concerned with Kane’s actions over the past several weeks, and that there may be some lines being crossed by “The Big Red Machine” in demanding a title shot against D’Angelo Dinero at “Caged Rage”. But, Bradshaw says, even before Dinero can except the challenge, Kane has to prove that he is capable of wrestling in an X-Division style match. Bradshaw says that Kane will have his chance to prove just that, next week, against an opponent of Bradshaw’s choosing. Evan Bourne vs. “The Monster” AbyssA night after being outdone by Ted DiBiase in the quarterfinals of the Wicked Games tournament, Abyss came into Anaheim with one thing on this mind: destruction. Unfortunately, tonight Evan Bourne was the sacrificial lamb that Abyss had his eyes on. “The Monster” dominated this match, outside of a few instances that Bourne was able to garner some offense, and picked up the victory after a third torture rack drop. After the match, Abyss stood over Bourne, basking in the scene of his devastation. Abyss pinned Evan Bourne after a torture rack drop in 0:05:30. Rating: ** ½Commercial BreakMontel Vontavious Porter vs. “The Big Red Machine” KaneLas night, at Wicked Games, it was revealed that “The Big Red Machine” had been behind the senseless attacks on X-Division Champion, D’Angelo Dinero. Tonight, Kane came out - with his aggressive manner still intact - and make very quick work of MVP, who made it to the semifinals last night. The key moment in the match came when Kane connected with a clothesline from the top rope… to the concrete outside the ring! After using the surroundings to his advantage, Kane rolled MVP into the ring, hit a devastation Choke Slam From Hell, and picked up the victory. After the match, Dinero ran down to the ring and attacked Kane from behind with a steel chair! Dinero connected with a few shots to the back, before nailing Kane in the head, sending the big man to the canvas! Dinero stood over Kane as the fans went crazy. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels signed off as “Anarchy” came to a close. Kane pinned Montel Vontavious Porter with the Choke Slam From Hell in 0:06:10. Monday Night Anarchy December 6, 2010 US Airways Center – Phoenix, Arizona Attendance: 7,990 (42%) The closing moments from last week's main event are shown as “Monday Night Anarchy” comes on the air. The clip shows Kane pinning Montel Vontavious Porter after a Choke Slam From Hell, and the post-match attack by D'Angelo Dinero. The clip ends with Dinero standing over Kane with a steel chair in one hand, and the X-Division Title in the other. “Headstrong” by Trapt blares through the arena as fireworks shoot from the stage area. The cameras inside the arena pan around to show the crowd and the various signs being held up. Josh Daniels and Scott Micheals welcome everyone to Phoenix, just 20 days away from the Caged Rage pay-per-view, and announce that tonight, Ted DiBiase will take on Desmond Wolfe in non-title action. Also tonight, “The Big Red Machine” Kane takes on Kyle O'Reilly in an X-Division match... per HWL Owner Peter Bradshaw. The lights in the arena go out as fire shoots from the stage area. KANE makes his way down the ramp, and enters the ring as the crowd voices their disapproval. Kane grabs a microphone as the lights come back on, and says that last week was nothing more then extra motivation to make sure he gets what he wants at Caged Rage. Kane says that D'Angelo Dinero's attack might have been effective for one night, but that it's going to take a lot more than that to keep him from winning the X-Division Title. Kane says that Peter Bradshaw is wanting to see how well Kane handles the X-Division style of wrestling; and says that all Bradshaw has done is made it easier for Kane to devastate the X-Division roster. Kane says that Bradshaw has made a huge mistake – taking away all the rules – and has handed Kane the X-Division on a silver platter. Kane says that tonight, Dinero would be wise to watch what he does to Kyle O'Reilly, because it will be exactly what happens to “The Pope” at Caged Rage. Commercial BreakDaffney vs. Angelina LoveLast week, Angelina Love earned the title of No. 1 Contender for the Women's Title. She will walk into Caged Rage, and face Natalya in 20 days, but tonight she had to step into the ring with the woman she threw out of the battle royal last week: Daffney. Daffney was hell-bent on making Angelina pay for costing her the shot at the Women's Title, and she spent most of the match unleashing her wrath on Angelina. Love, however, was determined to prove she was deserving of her title shot, taking everything Daffney could give her – including THREE separate Lobotmy's – and coming back for more! Daffney nearly won the match later in the almost thirty-minute battle, after tossing Love to the concrete outside, but Angelina was determined to finish the match inside the ring. By the end of the bout both Vixens were exhausted, but Angelina was able to duck a Daffney clothesline and connect with the Lights Out for the 1-2-3! After the match, the referee called for medical personnel down to the ring, as they carried both Vixens away from ringside. Angelina Love pinned Daffney with the Lights Out in 0:28:12. Rating: ****Commercial BreakBackstage, Heavyweight Champion, Desmond Wolfe is with Alisha Hicks. Wolfe says that, in three weeks, he'll be stepping into the ring with someone new for the first time in months. Wolfe congratulates Matt Morgan for winning the Wicked Games tournament – saying that he had to go through some very serious competition to earn his title shot – but, that he is the longest-reigning champion of all-time in the HWL; and that he is looking forward to seeing what “The Blueprint” brings to the ring at Caged Rage. Kaz vs. “Dashing” Cody RhodesCody Rhodes made his in-ring return tonight, after spending some time in the development league – PCW – and winning the PCW Tag Team Titles with Brother Devon, formerly of TNA. But, tonight, he stepped into the ring with Kaz. There was a lot of back and forth action, as both men jockeyed for the advantage. Neither one of them held a distinct advantage until the end of the match, when Rhodes locked in the figure-four leglock in the center of the ring. Kaz fought as best as he could to get to the ropes, but Rhodes was able to pull him away every time. Soon, Kaz's strength gave out, and his shoulders fell to the canvas, as the referee counted the three! After the match, Rhodes quickly slid out of the ring and received a mixed reaction from the crowd. Cody Rhodes pinned Kaz after a figure-four leglock in 0:17:58. Rating: *** ½Commercial BreakMATT MORGAN makes his way down to the ring as “Anarchy” returns, and says that it's flattering to hear that Desmond Wolfe is looking forward to stepping into the ring with him in three weeks, but Morgan says that he has other things to get off his chest before his Heavyweight Title match. Morgan says that, last week, Kurt Angle came out and ruined his celebration, demanding to know what Morgan thought about getting into the ring with Angle for a third time. Morgan said that he had spent a week going back and forth of the options put before him, and that either way, nothing was going to keep him from the title match he deserved. But, Morgan says that he is going to give Angle the chance of his one final match at Caged Rage. Morgans says that, next week, if Kurt Angle can beat him one-on-one, then the Heavyweight Title match at Caged Rage will become a Triple Threat Match with Desmond Wolfe. However, if Morgan wins, they do not step into the ring with each other for 30 days. Morgan says that Angle has his answer; it's now up to him to accept it or not. Commercial BreakNon-Title Match The British Invasion vs. © The Hart Dynasty (w/Natalya)The British Invasion had a chance, tonight, to redeem themselves from their previous losses to the Tag Team Champions, but as always, Natalya played a pivotal role. Natalya made her presence known, early on, by tripping Brutus Magnus, who pleaded for the referee to disqualify the reigning title holders. However, that did not happen, and the match continued until Tyson Kidd connected with the Springboard Elbowdrop on the much-larger Rob Terry to pick up the victory. After the match, as The Hart Dynasty celebrated their win, Brutus Magnus argued with the referee about the decision. The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) defeated The British Invasion (Brutush Magnus & Rob Terry) when T. Kidd pinned R. Terry with the Springboard Elbowdrop in 0:05:29. Rating: * ¾ [Natalya interfered against Brutus Magnus.]Commercial BreakKURT ANGLE is seen backstage, with Alisha Hicks, smiling as he says that he just heard the best news since coming back to the HWL. The good news is that Matt Morgan is offering to lessen his chances of winning the Heavyweight Title, just to prove a point to Angle. Angle says that if Matt Morgan is so sure that he will be Angle next week, then Angle has no choice but to accept the challenge. Angle says that he's already embarrassed Morgan once before, so he will have no problem proving who the better wrestler is again... and earning his own shot at the HWL Heavyweight Title. X-Division Match Kyle O'Reilly vs. “The Big Red Machine” KaneFor the past couple weeks, Kane has made it very clear that he will stop at nothing to get championship gold around his waist, and he has recently set his sights on the X-Division Champion, D'Angelo Dinero. Last night it was announced that, in order to earn his title shot against Dinero, Kane would have to fair well enough in X-Division matches until Caged Rage. There really was no question that Kane would thrive in the “anything goes” world of the X-Division, and tonight he proved that all too easily, against Kyle O'Reilly. The ringside area was destroyed during this match, including a section of the guardrail and the announce table! O'Reilly was able to get in a decent shot on Kane, opening up a small wound on “The Big Red Machine's” head, but it only infuriated him more. After the small lapse, Kane regained the advantage and brought O'Reilly back into the ring, and send him through a table with the Chokeslam From Hell! Kane easily pinned O'Reilly for the 1-2-3. Kane defeated Kyle O'Reilly with the Choke Slam From Hell in 0:11:10. Rating: *** ¼Commercial BreakNon-Title Match Ted DiBiase vs. © Desmond WolfeThese two men have become very familiar with one another over the past few months, and once again, they fought without the Heavyweight Title being on the line. Tonight, however, Ted DiBiase had other things to worry about, besides the Heavyweight Title. CODY RHODES made his way down to the ring half-way through the match, and was a constant bother to DiBiase. Rhodes tried tripping his former partner, distracting the referee at times, and even sliding Desmond Wolfe the ring bell, which was used to no avail as DiBiase was able to put his foot on the bottom rope to break up the pinfall. But, even with all the interference and the short-cuts, DiBiase was still able to get the victory over the Heavyweight Champion, after hitting a beautiful powerslam in the center of the ring. After the match, DiBiase and Rhodes stared each other down at ringside as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels signed off. Ted DiBiase pinned Desmond Wolfe after a powerslam in 0:15:13. DiBiase came off very good with a win over Wolfe, despite the interference. I can see him getting a title run in the near future.

The Matt Morgan/Kurt Angle match should be really good, and it's a good story overall. Morgan has to be cocky to really get over, but his confidence may cost him against Angle. Looking forward to the match.
On the flip side, I hated this main event. Desmond Wolfe got BURIED, plain and simple. I like that the Rhodes/DiBiase story got furthered, but Rhodes constantly distracted Ted Jr. during the match, and he still had little problem beating your World champion clean. This match was a huge shot to your top guy's credibility.

I'm liking how things are progressing with Angle/Morgan, too. Got a couple ideas running around.
And, yes, I hated seeing Wolfe done-in like that, but there's a reason for it. Sadly.

Well I know the reason why. But you as a promoter wouldn't really know about it. Which is easier said than done. In my last GCW, it was really hard not to just start jobbing Chris Benoit out knowing in less than a year TNM time, he would be dead after murdering his family first. In the grand scheme, it's not a huge deal. Just rubbed me the wrong way a little bit.

Hate seeing Desmond getting dropped, but you have a lot of my favorite guys on the way up so I cant wait to see who gets elevated in his place.

Monday Night Anarchy December 13. 2010 Pan American Center – Las Cruces, New Mexico Attendance: 6,116 (49%) A clip of Ted DiBiase's victory over Desmond Wolfe is shown as “Anarchy” comes on the air. The clip ends with DiBiase and Cody Rhodes staring each other down at ringside. Also, a clip of Kane's victory over Kyle O'Reilly is shown... “Headstrong” by Trapt blares through the arena as fireworks shoot from the stage. The cameras inside the arena pan around to show the crowd and the various signs being held into the air. Josh Daniels and Scott Micheals welcome everyone to the campus of New Mexico State University, just 13 days away from Caged Rage. They announce, that tonight, Kurt Angle and Matt Morgan will face-off in the main event. If Angle wins the match, he earns a spot in the Heavyweight Title match at Caged Rage; but if Morgan wins, their feud ends for 30 days, immediately. Also, tonight, its announced that Tyson Kidd will take on the X-Division Champion, D'Angelo Dinero in a non-title match. DESMOND WOLFE comes out to the ring. He is dressed in a finely-pressed suit, and carrying the HWL Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. He enters the ring and grabs a microphone, before saying that he has been dreading this moment for over two weeks. Wolfe says that, ever since the HWL went overseas to Japan and Australia, he has not been feeling up to 100 percent on a day-to-day basis. He says that, two weeks, he went to get himself tested, and it was revealed that he had contracted Hepatitis B, and that he would be forced to retire. Wolfe says that last week was one of the toughest matches he had been in, because he knew it was his last one... ever. He says that the past eight months have been the best he could remember, and that he would always remember holding the HWL Heavyweight Title on two different occasions. He thanks the fans for all their support over that time, and says that he wishes he could go into Caged Rage and defend the title with the honor it deserves. Wolfe then calls out PETER BRADSHAW, who joins him in the ring. Wolfe says that it was an honor working for Bradshaw, and that he was happy to be apart of making the HWL what it is today. Wolfe hands over the Heavyweight Title before waving to the fans and leaving the ring. Wolfe continues to say goodbye to the fans as Daniels and Michaels agree that the HWL will never quite be the same... Commercial BreakNon-Title Match Velvet Sky vs. © NatalyaVelvet Sky came out with a clear mission in mind; and that was to show that, even though she came up short in the battle royal two weeks ago, she should be considered a challenger for the Women's Title, in the near future. Tonight, Sky came out and took the fight to the unsuspecting champion, who came into the match with a little too much confidence. Sky showed a more vicious streak tonight, as well, slamming Natalya into the steel ring steps and doing most of her damage outside thC ring. She was able to escape a possible Sharpshooter attempt on the outside, and slid into the ring, before surprising Natalya with the Beauty Mark for the shocking 1-2-3. After the match, Sky celebrated with the fans as Natalya looked on in utter disgust... Velvet Sky pinned Natalya with the Beauty Mark in 0:08:26. Rating: *** ¼Commercial BreakBackstage, KURT ANGLE is seen with Alisha Hicks. Angle is wearing his ring gear, and says that he has been looking forward to this night since he returned a few weeks ago. He says that Matt Morgan spent too much of his time, running his mouth, after Angle moved down to the development league; and that tonight's the night that Angle makes good on his promise of shutting Morgan up, once and for all. Angle says that tonight isn't just about shutting up Morgan, but more about getting to earn his shot at facing Morgan inside a steel cage in two weeks. He says that a third person in the match, and having the Heavyweight Title on the line matter nothing to him; they're just perks. Angle says that Caged Rage would be a fitting end to his rivalry with Morgan, because “The Blueprint” would have nowhere to run, and that it could be settled finally. He says that it would be a great ending to 2010, and an even better way to start off the New Year. “The Cornfed Meathead” Skip Sheffield vs. “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles (w/Chelsea & Ric Flair)Both men were looking to pick up a victory in this “power vs. speed” match, tonight, as they were both coming off loses the last time they stepped into the ring. Sheffield came out strong at the start of the match, surprising everyone – including Styles – with some of his own high-flying moves. But, soon, all the extra energy Sheffield had lost started taking its toll on him. He began to look a little sluggish in the ring, and Styles made sure to take advantage of it at every turn. Styles used his vast array of aerial moves to wear down Sheffield even further, before connecting with the Pele kick. Exhausted, and unable to defend himself, Sheffield became a surprising victim to the Styles Clash; and AJ walked away with the 1-2-3. AJ Styles pinned Skip Sheffield with the Styles Clash in 0:09:02. Rating: **** ¼Commercial BreakTED DIBIASE makes his way out to the ring as “Anarchy” returns from the break. DiBiase says that it's a shame that Desmond Wolfe is leaving the HWL, just a week after losing to DiBiase in the very same ring. He says that Wolfe came out with a bogus story about getting sick overseas, when the truth is, Wolfe saw what DiBiase was fully capable of inside the ring... and he figured that tonight was the best time to leave before DiBiase took the title away from him. DiBiase then soaks in the boos from the crowd before announcing the real reason he came out to the ring. He says that Cody Rhodes has been nothing but a thorn in his side... ever since their days in the “other organization”. DiBiase says that he has always had to carry Cody on his back, and every single time Legacy lost either the HWL Tag Team Titles or the PCW Tag Team Titles, it was because of Cody Rhodes. He says that Cody even tried to equal the success he had as a member of Legacy, with Brother Devon... only to have Devon leave the day after they won the Tag Team Titles. DiBiase says that it's an example of it being impossible to work with Rhodes, because Cody wants to be the “bigger star”. He says that's all Cody was trying to do last week, too, when he interfered in DiBiase's match against Desmond Wolfe. DiBiase says that Cody couldn't stand seeing him in a spot that Cody felt was his, and he wanted DiBiase to lose. He says that Rhodes is nothing but a jealous, no-talent, loser who's “daddy” has been writing checks to make sure his boy still had a job. DiBiase says that, if Cody wants a match at Caged Rage, then he's got one. He says that, at Caged Rage, DiBiase will finish what Cody started. Commercial Break“The Viper” Randy Orton/Alex Shelley vs. The Usos (w/Tamina)Before the match could get started tonight, The Usos took the time to announce that they were the only team in the HWL who had not gotten their fair chance at the Tag Team Titles, and that they were naming themselves the new Number One Contenders. They demanded a match against The Hart Dynasty at Caged Rage, and said that they were going to prove that there is more than one team in the HWL that has a superstar lineage. The match, however, was not as one-sided as the match-up these two teams had at Downfall in October. Shelley and Orton were determined to correct the mistakes they made in the embarrassing loss, and did all they could, but they were unable to take a meaningful advantage as Jimmy hit the Superfly Splash on Shelley to pick up the victory. After the match, as Shelley rolled out of the ring and Orton helped him to the back, DAVID HART SMITH and TYSON KIDD ran down to the ring and attacked The Uso's from behind! Outside the ring, Natalya held Tamina from behind as Smith hit Jimmy Uso with a running power slam. Kidd worked over Jey Uso until Smith pick Uso up, and Kidd connected with the Springboard Hart Attack in the center of the ring. Natalya let Tamina go, and entered the ring, as The Hart Dynasty celebrated inside the ring, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) defeated Alex Shelle & Randy Orton when Jimmy pinned A. Shelley with the Superfly Splash in 0:16:06. Rating: ***Commercial BreakBackstage, PETER BRADSHAW is seen with Alisha Hicks. Bradshaw is seen with the HWL Heavyweight Title draped over his shoulder. He says that is very sorry – and saddened – to hear that Desmond Wolfe will be leaving the HWL, and that the longest-reigning Heavyweight Champion has to lose the title in such a way. But, Bradshaw says that business must go on as usual, and announces that next week, there will be a 10-man Battle Royal to determine the Matt Morgan's opponent at Caged Rage. He says, as a caveat, that the winner of the Battle Royal could also be the third member of a Triple Threat Match, bases on the outcome of tonight's main event. Non-Title, X-Division Match Tyson Kidd (w/Natalya) vs. © D'Angelo DineroThis match got off to a quick start as both men traded blows. Dinero connected with an inverted DDT before whipping Kidd into the corner, and hitting a DDE very early. Dinero went for the cover, but Natalya distracted the referee, breaking up the all. Dinero got to his feet and shared words with Natalya, before returning back to Kidd. Dinero kept up the attack on Kidd, until Natalya interfered, tripping the champion. The referee called for the bell as Kidd quickly jumped at the chance to attack. Kidd got in a few cheap shots before the referee grabbed him and demanded that Kidd leave the ring. Kidd and Natalya made their way up the ramp as the referee tended to “The Pope”. D'Angelo Dinero defeated Tyson Kidd by disqualification in 00:05:01. Rating: *** ¼ [Natalya interfered against D'Angelo Dinero.]Commercial Break“The Olympic Gold Medalist” Kurt Angle vs. “The Blueprint” Matt MorganAfter the news that rocked the HWL earlier in the evening, everyone on campus was looking forward to finding out whether Kurt Angle would make himself a part of the main event at Caged Rage, and self-proclaimed Olympic Hero wasted no time giving the fans the answer they were waiting for. Angle came down to the ring in a fury, taking Morgan of his feet. Just minutes after the bell sounded, the referee was knocked to the canvas, and Matt Morgan looked to have the match won. Angle, though, was destined to get into the ring with Morgan at the pay-per-view, and connected with a low blow that sent Morgan to his knees.
