Monday Night Anarchy December 20, 2010 AT&T Center – San Antonio, Texas Attendance: 9,774 (52%) A video montage is shown, replaying DESMOND WOLFE'S retirement announcement. Another montage is shown, highlighting Wolfe's greatest moments in the HWL. The final image is of Wolfe holding the Heavyweight Title in the air after defeating Kane at Downfall. “Headstrong” by Trapts plays inside the arena as fireworks shoot from the stage. The cameras inside the arena pan around to show the crowd and the various signs being held into the air. Josh Daniels and Scott Micheals welcome everyone to San Antonio, just 6 days away from Caged Rage. They announce, that tonight, a nine-man battle royal will take place to determine the third participant of Sunday night's Triple Threat Match for the vacant Heavyweight Title. Also, tonight, its announced that a six-man tag match will take place as The Usos team up with Cody Rhodes to face The Hart Dynasty and Ted DiBiase. PETER BRADSHAW starts off the show, walking down to the ring, and nodding go the fans as he grabs a microphone. He says that he is not coming out to waste too much of anyone's time, because there is a lot of great action taking place tonight; but, Bradshaw says that, due to some backstage issues, the X-Division Title match at Caged Rage has been changed. He says that, currently, D'Angelo Dinero does not have an opponent for Sunday, but that will all change here tonight. Bradshaw announces that a Fatal-Four-Way elimination match will take place between Evan Bourne, Alex Shelley, Yoshi Tatsu, and Kyle O'Reilly, to determine who will face “The Pope” at Caged Rage. He thanks the crowd for their time before leaving the ring. Daniels and Michaels discuss the match as “Anarchy” goes to commercials. Commercial BreakAngelina Love vs. SaritaJust six days before stepping into the steel cage, and getting her first chance at the Women's Title, Angelina Love was loking to grab a little more momentum heading into the pay-per-view; but Sarita had other plans for her fellow Canadian. This match started off quickly, with a lot of back-and-forth action. These two Vixens have met plenty of times before, and Sarita showed that she had Love's game plan scouted. Sarita easily picked up the victory after hitting the Tiger Driver, stopping any chances of momentum Love may've had. After the match, THE HART DYNASTY made their way to the ring. Sarita stood near the announce table, not wanting to face the trio, as they entered the ring. Smith and Kidd grabbed Angelina and restrained as she tried to kick and scratch her way to freedom. Natalya, with title belt in hand, got into Love's face and told her that it would be the closest she ever came to the Women's Title. But, before Natalya can inflict any damage, VELVET SKY entered the ring and attacked her from behind! Velvet quickly left the ring as Smith and Kidd advanced towards her. From outside the ring, SARITA grabbed Love and pulled her to safety, outside the ring. The Hart Dynasty and Velvet stared across the arena as “Anarchy” went to commercials. Sarita pinned Angelina Love with the Tiger Driver in 0:05:50. Rating: **** ¼Commercial BreakBackstage, KURT ANGLE is seen walking through the hallways of the arena, when he is blindsided by MATT MORGAN! Morgan and Angle brawl through the hallway, sending each other into the cement walls. Angle whips Morgan into the chain-link fence that surrounds the interview area. Props are scattered across the backstage area as the two men control to brawl. Morgan connects with a low blow, and sends Angle into a locker room door, denting it as he slides to the ground. Morgan continues the assault, kicking Angle until HWL officials rush over and separate them. Morgan says that Angle got what he wanted... and that it's a mistake he'll have to live with from now on. X-Division Match Adam Cole vs. “Die Hard” Eddie EdwardsTonight, two former members of the HWL's D-League, PCW, debuted in their first-ever X-Division match. Edwards came into this match with a limited amount of matches under his belt, as he used primarily as a substitute or tag team wrestler in the PCW. Cole, however, enters the HWL as the first-ever PCW Television Champion. Cole was coming off a lengthy hiatus away from the ring, but showed no signs of slowly down as these two went all over the the ringside area at a furious pace. But, in the end, Cole was able to hit the Panama Sunrise to pick up his first victory on the main roster. Adam Cole pinned Eddie Edwards with the Panama Sunrise in 0:09:31. Rating: ** ½Commercial BreakRANDY ORTON comes out to the ring as “Anarchy” returns from the break. He says that the situation surrounding the Heavyweight Title seems eerily familiar to when he, Matt Morgan, and AJ Styles were starting up the company. Orton says that all three of them went through hell to be named Heavyweight Champion, and that's exactly where they find themselves again. He says that the only difference is, that Morgan and Styles have each held the Heavyweight Title, and it's his time to be the face of the Horizon Wrestling League. This brings out AJ STYLES, who makes his way to the ring, and stands face-to-face with Orton. He says that there's only been one other man to hold the Heavyweight Title on two occasions; and Desmond Wolfe isn't going to be an issue any more. Styles says that it's only a matter of him winning the Battle Royal tonight, before he walks into Caged Rage and leaves with the Heavyweight Title around his waist. He says that, in the past, Orton was no match for him inside the ring, and that tonight would be no different. Orton takes offense to the comment and attack Styles, and the two men begin to go back and forth inside the ring. One by one, the other participants of the battle royal make their way down to the ring, and an all-out brawl ensues. Daniels and Michaels plead for officials to put an end to it... PETER BRADSHAW makes his way out to the stage, with a microphone, and demands that everyone stop what they're doing. He says that if the ring isn't cleared within 30 seconds, the battle royal later tonight will be canceled, and none of them will get a shot at the Heavyweight Title. Bradshaw watches as HWL officials make their way down to the ring and escort the superstars out of the ring; some of them still sharing words with one another as “Anarchy” goes to commercials. Commercial BreakThe Usos/Cody Rhodes (w/Tamina) vs. The Hart Dynasty/Ted DiBiase (w/Natalya)There haven't been many six-man tag matches in the HWL, to-date, and tonight was one that was anticipated by many in the audience. The Usos and The Hart Dynasty were looking to heat up their rivalry just six days before meeting for the Tag Team Titles; and Rhodes and DiBiase were looking for an excuse to go after one another. But, unfortunately, neither the six men in the match or the thousands in attendance got to see what they had hoped to. Just minutes into the match, Natalya proved that she would do anything to save her team, when she felt the need to. She tripped Cody Rhodes, and the referee quickly called for the bell, disqualifying the Champions and DiBiase. After the bell rang, all six men began to brawl inside the ring as the referee hopelessly looked on. All six men paired off against each other as the brawl made its way outside the ring. The Usos and The Hart Dynasty battled each other at ringside as Rhodes and DiBiase brawled up the ramp and into the backstage area. Officials rushed down to the ring and broke up the two teams, as Daniels and Michaels wondered what was going on between the two former tag team partners. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) & Cody Rhodes defeated The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) & Ted DiBiase when C. Rhodes defeated D.H. Smith by disqualification in 0:04:32. Rating: * ¼ [Natalya interfered against Cody Rhodes.]Commercial BreakA preview for Caged Rage is shown, highlighting the five matches already signed. The event will take place on December 26th, live from Houston, Texas... only on pay-per-view. Fatal Four-Way, X-Division Match Kyle O'Reilly vs. Yoshi Tatsu vs. Alex Shelley vs. Evan BourneThis match was the chance of a lifetime for all four of the participants. Aside from both Tatsu and Shelley getting chances at the Tag Team Titles, neither of these men had been given a chance to challenge for a singles title during their time in the HWL. However, tonight would change that for the one who was lucky enough to come out on top. Tonight, Kyle O'Reilly was that man. However, O'Reilly will never be able to say that he won this match on his own. In a scene that stunned everyone in the arena, RANDY ORTON made his way to the ring and insisted on aiding O'Reilly with every elimination in the match, except for that of Orton's parter, Alex Shelley. Orton threw in the ring bell to help eliminate Evan Bourne; he then spent most of the night attacking Yoshit Tatsu, wearing him down so that O'Reilly could put him away. And, Orton did nothing as Shelley tried his best to earn a shot to challenge for the X-Division Title. However, he came up short, falling victim to the Brain Buster to become the final elimination of the night. After the match, O'Reilly looked on, shocked at Orton's help, as Shelley slowly made his way out of the ring. Shelley got into Orton's face, demanding to know the reason Orton was at ringside, but the only answer he got was an RKO to the concrete floor! Orton stood over Shelley's prone body, laughing, as the crowd booed. Kyle O'Reilly defeated Yoshi Tatsu, Alex Shelley and Evan Bourne: x O'Reilly beat E. Bourne after a side step in 0:15:27. x O'Reilly beat Y. Tatsu via the Brain Buster in 0:26:39. x O'Reilly beat A. Shelley via the Brain Buster in 0:29:55. Rating: *** ¾ [Randy Orton interfered against Evan Bourne.] [Randy Orton interfered against Yoshi Tatsu.]Commercial Break#1 Contenders Battle RoyalNine men stepped into the ring in tonight's main event, vying for the final spot in Sunday night's Triple Threat Match for the vacant Heavyweight Title. All nine men had gotten into a very heated brawl earlier in the evening, and when the bell rang to “officially” begin, they picked up right where they left off. Rob Terry quickly used his strength to manhandle “The Viper” Randy Orton over the top rope. Terry become a victim, himself, at the hand of Tommy Dreamer, about three minutes later. Dreamer would last another three-plus minutes in the match before being the only elimination made by “The Monster” Abyss. All through the match, Kaz had kept himself relatively quiet, battling it out with the others, and doing whatever he could to keep himself in the match. After Abyss's elimination of Dreamer, Kaz went on a tear, eliminating every other participant in the match, finally eliminating “The Monster” with a picture-perfect dropkick, that sent Abyss stumbling to the concrete. After the match, Kaz celebrated with the fans as “Anarchy” went off the air. Kaz won a 9-man Battle Royal x R. Terry threw out R. Orton in 0:00:49. x T. Dreamer threw out AJ Styles in 0:03:05. x Dreamer threw out Terry in 0:03:42. x Abyss threw out Dreamer in 0:06:38. x Kaz threw out A. Cole in 0:09:57. x Kaz threw out S. Sheffield in 0:12:38. x Kaz threw out Mr. Anderson after a headsmash into the turnbuckle in 0:13:00. x Kaz threw out Abyss in 0:14:05. HWL Caged Rage PPV December 26, 2010 Toyota Center – Houston, Texas Attendance: 6,230 (35%) Fireworks shoot from the stage as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Houston, Texas for Caged Rage. They announce that five huge matches will take place tonight, and that three men will vie for the right to be named the new HWL Heavyweight Champion. The camera shows the steel cage structure sitting around the ring, as J.D reminds the audience that ever match tonight will take place within the confines of the steel cage. They send it down to the ring for the night's first match... X-Division Title Match Kyle O'Reilly vs. © D'Angelo DineroWhat a way to start off a pay-per-view! Things got off to a bang tonight, as the X-Division Title was on the line. O'Reilly had a huge chance to make a name for himself tonight, and he took every advantage he could to do just that. Dinero, once again, proved why he is the longest-reigning X-Division champion, as these two men absolutely destroyed each other throughout the match. The highlight of the match was Dinero's flying elbowdrop off the top of the cage! But, even after that move, he couldn't but O'Reilly away. Dinero tried everything – including hitting the DDE on FIVE separate occasions – but still couldn't put his challenger away. O'Reilly had his many shots at taking away the belt, hitting the Brain Buster on a handful of occasions as well, but also was unable to put “The Pope” away. The ending the match saw MONTEL VONTAVIOUS PORTER come down to ringside, with a pair of bolt cutters, and enter the ring. He attacked Dinero with the cutters, as O'Reilly watched on in shock. Suddenly, RANDY ORTON ran down and slid into the ring, surprising O'Reilly with an RKO! The referee had no choice but to call the match as a no-contest as HWL officials rushed down to the ring and separated the four men. Kyle O'Reilly and D'Angelo Dinero battled to a draw in 0:30:00. Rating: **** ¼ (D'Angelo Dinero retained the X-Division Title.) [Montel Vontavious Porter interfered against D'Angelo Dinero.] [Randy Orton interfered against Kyle O'Reilly.]THE HART DYNASTY is seen, backstage, with Alisha Hicks. David Hart Smith says that he and Kidd are getting sick and tired of hearing every other team in the HWL saying that they have what it takes to beat the Dynasty for the Tag Team Titles. He says that every time has said it, but none of them have been able to actually do it. Kidd says that he is sick and tired of hearing all the second- and third-generation athletes say that their legacies are just as great – if not better – than those of The Hart Dynasty. He says that he and Smith have already beating Rhodes and DiBiase; they've already beaten Randy Orton; and tonight, they're going to beat the long-lost relatives of “Superfly Jimmy Snuka. Also, backstage, VELVET SKY is seen in the catering area, speaking with a member of the crew, when she is approached by ANGELINA LOVE. The two of them stare at each other for a moment, before Love extends her hand, and says thank you for Velvet coming to her aide, Monday night, at Anarchy. Velvet shakes Angelina's hand, and brings her in for a hug. She says that they might've had their issues in the past, but Velvet couldn't stand by and watch “her friend” get treated that way. Velvet says that she will be cheering for Angelina tonight, because “someone needs to take the title away from that bitch”. Tag Team Title Match The Usos (w/Tamina) vs. © The Hart Dynasty (w/Natalya)The Tag Team Titles were on the line in the next match of the evening. And, after the brawl that took place on Anarchy, Monday night, the tension was running high as the door was locked on the steel cage. Since debuting in the HWL, The Usos had proclaimed to be the greatest pair of third-generation stars that the company would ever see. However, there had always been one team that kept a firm hold of that title, as well as the Tag Team championships. Tonight, The Usos had their chance to take a big step into reversing their short-lived legacy in the HWL; all they needed to do was make either David Hart Smith submit, get a pinfall, or escape the cage. That task seemed like a tall order, as The Hart Dynasty put everything they had on the line. There were plenty of high-risk moves from both The Usos and Tyson Kidd, with the power coming from Smith. The Usos found themselves with a few chances to win the match, but at every turn, NATALYA was there to thwart them off. The end came as Kidd hit the Springboard Hart Attack to pick up the victory and retain the Tag Team Titles. The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) defeated The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) when T. Kidd pinned Jey after the Springboard Hart Attack in 0:24:38. Rating: **** (The Hart Dynasty retained the HWL Tag Team Titles.)Backstage, Tim Hanson is seen with CODY RHODES. Hanson asks how Cody is feeling, knowing that later tonight, he will step into a steel cage against his former tag team partner, Ted DiBiase. Rhodes says that, over the past few months, he has had to put up with being blamed constantly for Legacy losing both the HWL and PCW Tag Team Titles. He says that, for one day, he achieved success without DiBiase by winning the PCW Tag Team Titles a second time. Rhodes says that he knew he wasn't the one to blame for losing the titles, because his partner left the company the next day; he says that DiBiase was just making up lies to cover up his own insecurities inside the ring. Rhodes says, that tonight, he would make DiBiase eat those lies, and prove once and for all that he was the one who carried Legacy through it all. Near the stage entrance, Alisha Hicks stops NATALYA before her title defense, and asks what's going through her mind. Natalya says that word spreads pretty quick in the back, and that after she finishes with Angelina Love tonight, she's setting her sights on “that bitch”, Velvet Sky. Women's Title Match Angelina Love vs. © NatalyaThings between these two Vixens heated up quickly just six days ago on Anarchy, and tonight Angelina Love was hoping to come out of the fire victorious, and put an end to Natalya's reign over the Women's Division. Love came out strong, picking up a couple near falls, and even touching the concrete outside the ring with her hands, before Natalya pulled her back inside. Love went for the Lights Out, but Nataly was able to counter the move and hit a Tiger Driver. Natalya took advantage and locked in an airplane spin that caused Angelina to have trouble getting to her feet and keeping her balance. Natalya then climbed out of the cage, dropping to the concrete, and retaining the Women's Title. Natalya defeated Angelina Love by escaping the cage in 0:08:25. Rating: *** ½ (Natalya retained the HWL Women's Title.)Tim Hanson is seen with TED DIBIASE, backstage, and asks him to respond to Cody Rhodes' comments earlier tonight. DiBiase laughs and says that Rhodes is delusional if he thinks he was the one that carried Legacy. DiBiase says that the facts prove that every time they lost the tag team titles, Rhodes was the victim of the fall. He says that the facts don't lie, and Rhodes can “shove it”. DiBiase laughs at Rhodes “finding success” in the PCW. He says that he and his partner were champions one night; and that his partner left the company because he didn't want to carry Rhodes around like he had to carry around his fat, retarded brother decades before. DiBiase says that tonight, he's going to stop wasting his time, one way or another. Alisha Hicks is seen with a smiling KAZ backstage, and says that emotions must be running high tonight. Kaz says that he's had his fair share of title matches throughout his career, and that he's won some and loss some. But, he says that nothing beats the feeling he got when he eliminated Abyss, Monday night, during the battle royal. Kaz says that hearing his name announced as the winner – and the third person in tonight's main event – sent chills down his spine. He admits to not getting much sleep Monday night, because the excitement was coursing through his body. He says he's aware of the odds stacked against him, facing Kurt Angle and Matt Morgan, but says that he's honored just to have the chance to challenge for the Heavyweight Title. He says that, the only way it could get better, is if he walks out of Houston as the new Heavyweight Champion. Ted DiBiase vs. “Dashing” Cody RhodesThat has been a lot of bad blood between these two former Tag Team Champions over the past few weeks, ever since Cody Rhodes returned to the HWL, and vowed redemption against Ted DiBiase. They both got a piece of each other, Monday night, as a part of the six-man match on Anarchy. But tonight, they got exactly what they wanted: a match where neither of them could run, and had to face each other until there was a winner. Both men made it very clear that there hatred for each other was very real, as they both did whatever they could to physically harm one another. But, in the end, no real damage was done, but the “Dashing” one could claim that he got the better of his partner, as he Rhodes was able to escape the cage and secure himself a victory. Cody Rhodes defeated Ted DiBiase by escaping the cage in 0:09:41. Rating: ** ¾KURT ANGLE is shown backstage, with Tim Hanson, wearing a bandage over his head. Angle says that, Monday night at Anarchy, he was a victim of an insecure jacked=up freak. He says that in the couple weeks he has been back in the HWL, he has already gotten into the mind of Matt Morgan; and because of that, Morgan's past concerns about what Angle had done to him, slowly crept back up, causing Morgan to attack Angle backstage. Angle says that Morgan attacked him because he wanted a little piece of “ease” heading into tonight, hoping that if Morgan could inflict enough damage then, that Angle wouldn't be at 100 percent tonight. Angle says that the bandage on his head, and the stitches in his flesh are nothing compared to what he's had to go through earlier in life. He says that the only thing Matt Morgan succeeded in doing, was making sure Angle stopped at nothing to inflict the same amount of punishment – if not worse – inside the steel cage tonight. Angle says the Heavyweight Title is on the line, but that beating Morgan was his biggest concern. A preview for the up-coming pay-per-view, BRUTALITY, is shown. The event will take place on January 30, 2011, live from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. Heavyweight Title, Triple Threat Match “The Olympic Gold Medalist” Kurt Angle vs. “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan vs. KazIn one of the most anticipated matches of the year, these three men stepped inside the steel cage to see who would take claim to the vacant Heavyweight Title, left by Desmond Wolfe just two weeks ago. The arena rocked with tension as the crowd awaited the moment when Angle and Morgan would step into the ring against each other, but the early part of the match was side-tracked by a very impressive showing by the smaller challenger, Kaz. With help from his X-Division knowledge, and his speed, Kaz was able to get a couple quick near-falls over his bigger opponents; even using his superkick on both Angle and Morgan to nearly escape the cage. Eventually, the crowd in Houston got what they had come to see: Angle and Morgan inside the ring together; and they didn't disappoint. They brawled everywhere possible around the ring. Morgan used the cage to scrape Angle's face across the steel, opening up a small gash on Angle's forehead. Dazed, Angle still managed to kick out after Morgan hit the Carbon Footprint, that send “The Blueprint” into a rage that ended up costing him the advantage; as Morgan went for a second C.F., Angle ducked the move and connected with an Angle Slam! But, instead going for the pin, Angle climbed to the top of the cage and hit a picture-perfect moonsault onto Morgan! The ensuing pinfall was broken up by Kaz, as Angle and Morgan lie on the canvas, both holding their midsections in pain. Angle was the first to his feet, and he locked on the Angle Lock as Morgan shouted out in pain. But, once again, Kaz made the save, and he and Angle got into a shoving match. Morgan came from behind and clotheslined the back of Angle's head, sending him into the steel cage. As Angle reeled backwards, he was the victim of the Wave of the Future by Kaz, who only got a two-count, as Morgan was there to break it up. Morgan and Kaz went at each other as Angle lay prone on the canvas. Kaz ducked under the Carbon Football, and connected with the Wave of the Future on Morgan! But, instead of going for the cover, Kaz tried to scale the cage to victory, onto to be caught by Angle, and connected with another Angle Slam! Angle got to his feet, and slowly made the trek up the cage, scaling the outside wall as Morgan got to his feet... just in time to watch Angle drop to the concrete and be announced the NEW Heavyweight Champion! Kurt Angle defeated Matt Morgan and Kaz by escaping the cage in 0:37:39. Rating: **** ¼ (Kurt Angle won the HWL Heavyweight Title.)Card rating: *** 1/2

Monday Night Anarchy December 27, 2010 Ford Arena – Beaumont, Texas Attendance: 5,440 (68%) Photos from last night's “Caged Rage” event are shown as Anarchy comes on the air. Stills are shown of the post-match brawl between Kyle O'Reilly, Randy Orton, Montel Vontavious Porter, and D'Angelo Dinero; Tyson Kidd suspended in the air before hitting the Springboard Hart Attack; the grief on Angelina Love's face, and the joy on Natalya's as she holds up the Women's Title; Cody Rhodes escaping the cage; and of Kurt Angle holding up the Heavyweight Title after escaping the cage. “Headstrong” plays through the arena as fireworks shoot from the stage. Cameras pan around the arena, showing the mostly-filled seats and the cheering crowd. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to the final Anarchy of 2010, and wish everyone a Happy New Year. They announce that, tonight, Kyle O'Reilly will take on D'Angelo Dinero in a re-match for the X-Division Title. Also tonight, Yoshi Tatsu and Kaz will take on AJ Styles and Mr. Anderson to determine the number one contenders for the Tag Team Titles. And, in tonight's main event, Cody Rhodes will take on the newly crowned Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle. KURT ANGLE makes his way out to the ring, carrying the Heavyweight Title over his shoulder; a small bandaged is visible on his forehead. Inside the ring, Angle soaks up the cheers from the crowd before grabbing a microphone. He says that last night was “an amazing night”, and that he couldn't be more excited to stand in the ring with the HWL Heavyweight Title on his shoulder. Angle says that, last night, he, Matt Morgan, and Kaz all put their bodies on the line; and that he has the utmost respect for Kaz, who was making his first main event appearance. He says that he knew it was only going to be a matter of time before he held the Heavyweight Title, and now that he has it, he'll do whatever he can to honor the belt just like he's honored his gold medals for all these years. Angle says that he can not wait to find out who's going to step up to the plate and be his first challenger... This brings out MATT MORGAN, who is greeted by a roar of boos from the crowd. Morgan says that the next person to step up to the plate is the one person that still has a score to settle with Angle: Matt Morgan. He says that last night proved nothing in their year-long battle to see who is better than the other. Morgan says agrees that Angle won the Heavyweight Title outright, but that he did it in a cowardly way. He says that instead of making Kaz, or Morgan, submit – or even pinning one of them – Angle took the easy route and climbed out of the cage. Morgan says that he wants to find out, for good, who the better wrestler is. He says that, if Angle has the “balls” to step into the ring with Morgan again, that they can settle things at Brutality. Morgan walks off-stage as Angle looks on, smirking. Commercial BreakVelvet Sky vs. Gail KimThe show started off with Vixen action tonight, and Velvet came out looking impressive. If she was trying to send a message to Natalya, who echoed Sky's sentiment last night at Caged Rage – calling Velvet a “bitch” - she did a decent job. Velvet came out strong, with a variety of offense; but Gail was able to fight right back, even hitting a Frankensteiner off the top rope; but she wasn't able to put Velvet away. Velvet, still reeling from the high-risk move, fought back, and ducked under a clothesline, connecting with the Beauty Mark out of nowhere. Velvet easily made the pin for the 1-2-3. After the match, NATALYA made her way onto the stage. She said that Velvet had a lot of guts to say what she said last night; and she wondered if Velvet had forgotten that she has already been defeated for the Women's Title on two different occasions. Natalya said that she's already beaten every other Vixen in the HWL – more than once – and that she has her sights set on beating Velvet one more time. Natalya warned Velvet to watch what she says, because her mouth could get her into a lot of trouble. Velvet Sky pinned Gail Kim with the Beauty Mark in 0:09:23. Rating: ***Commercial BreakPETER BRADSHAW is seen, in his office, when CODY RHODES enters. Bradshaw congratulates Rhodes on his victory last night, and says that he's got “quite the opportunity” tonight, against Kurt Angle. Rhodes agrees, and says that he's looking forward to what the future may hold for him, now that he has finally put his past behind him. He asks Bradshaw about his chances of being named the Number One Contender for the Heavyweight Title, seeing as how Angle beat Morgan last night. Bradshaw is silent for a few moments, before saying that Rhodes is right, however it wouldn't be as easy as just asking. Bradshaw says that if Rhodes beats Angle tonight, then next week, Rhodes and Matt Morgan would have a match to determine the outright number one contender. Rhodes thanks Bradshaw and leaves the office. “The Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer vs. “The Blueprint” Matt MorganTommy Dreamer stepped into the ring with his biggest test, to-date, since entering the HWL. Matt Morgan was coming over a very hard-fought, very intense steel cage match with Kurt Angle and Kaz, just 24 hours before; and earlier in the evening, he said that he wanted another shot at Angle and the Heavyweight Title. This was his chance to prove that he was deserving of that shot. Morgan was shocked – as was everyone in the arena – by Dreamer's offense at the beginning of the match, as he took the fight to the younger, stronger opponent. But, it was short lived as Morgan was able to hit a devastating power slam in the center of the ring, giving “The Blueprint” the advantage. Morgan kept up the offense, but wasn't able to put awy the Hardcore legend. Minutes later, Dreamer ducked a clothesline and hit a Death Valley Driver on Morgan, but only warranted a two-count. Dreamer went for a DDT, but with the referee's view obstructed, Morgan hit a low blow, and followed it up with a vicious power bomb. After getting another two-count, Morgan brought the match outside the ring, he he assaulted Dreamer before throwing him into the ring steps. Morgan then rolled Dreamer back into the ring and stalked Dreamer before hitting the Carbon Footprint in the center of the ring. Morgan made the cover, and the referee counted the three. Dreamer, though, who was still conscious, argued that the referee's count was too fast; and the referee restarted the match! Furious, Morgan got into the referee's face as the bell rang, only to fall victim to the Dreamer DDT when he turned back around. Dreamer made the cover as the referee counted to three again, awarding the match to Dreamer! Dreamer quickly rolled out of the ring as Morgan slowly got to his feet. Enraged, Morgan left the ring and destroyed the ringside area, claiming that someone was going to pay for what happened, before heading backstage. Tommy Dreamer pinned Matt Morgan with the Dreamer DDT in 0:18:06. Rating: ***Commercial BreakComing back from the break, MONTEL VONTAVIOUS PORTER is seen standing in the center of the ring. With the crowd booing, Porter says that he has been biding his time backstage, just waiting for the right moment to make an impact. He says that last night, at Caged Rage, he had seen enough, and had no other choice but to react. Porter says that he has sat back and watched countless men get into the ring and challenge D'Angelo Dinero for the X-Division Title, only to come up empty-handed every time. He says that there has not been a challenge worthy of holding the X-Division Title since Porter, himself, challenged Dinero, back in the summer. Porter says that he is just as capable, if not more so, then everyone else who has gone to the back with a defeat; and that he is just as capable of becoming a two-time X-Division Champion, just like Dinero. He says that he came out to the ring to make a formal challenge to “The Pope”, and that if Dinero accepts the challenge for “Brutality”, then the Champion can name the match. Porter says he doesn't care about putting his body on the line, or not; all he cares about is ending Dinero's reign as X-Division Champion. Commercial Break#1 Contenders Match Yoshi Tatus/Kaz vs. “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles/Mr. Anderson (w/Chelsea & Ric Flair)The chance to challenge the Hart Dynasty for the Tag Team Titles at Brutality was on the line tonight, three former title challengers stepped into the ring. Kaz was coming off a very impressive showing last night, at Caged Rage, and was hoping to use some of that momentum to springboard himself and Yoshi into title contention one more time. But Styles and Anderson had different plans in mind, as they didn't allow their opponents any opportunity to use their aerial moves to their advantage; keeping the match on the canvas, and even outside the ring. With Anderson and Yoshi inside the ring, Flair snuck his way over to their opponents side of the ring, and connected with a low blow on Kaz, making it unable for him to break up the cover after Anderson hit a somersault slam to pick up the victory. After the match, RANDY ORTON made his way down to the ring, sliding under the bottom rope, stalking Yoshi as he slowly made it to his feet. As Yoshi turned around, he fell victim to his second RKO in as many weeks. Orton stood over Yoshi as “Anarchy” went to commercials. AJ Styles & Mr. Anderson defeated Yoshi Tatsu & Kaz when Anderson pinned Tatsu after a somersault slam in 0:05:48. Rating: *** ½Commercial BreakA preview for Brutality is shown, announcing that AJ Styles and Mr. Anderson will take on the Hart Dynasty for the Tag Team Titles. The event will take place on January 30th, live from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. X-Division Title Match Kyle O'Reilly vs. © D'Angelo DineroJosh Daniels and Scott Michaels announced that, during the commercial break, Peter Bradshaw stated that: if either Montel Vontavious Porter or Randy Orton, or anyone else backstage, interfered in this match, they would be suspended immediately. With that in mind, “The Pope” came out swinging, no longer worrying about outside interference. He and O'Reilly went at each other, battling everywhere at ringside – and event into the floor seats at one point. O'Reilly fought hard, and was able to connect with the Brain Buster. But, Dinero kicked out after two, and O'Reilly argued that the count was slow. Enfuriated, and showing signs of frustration, O'Reilly snapped and tossed the referee outside of the ring! Dinero took this chance to connect with the DDE just as another official was running down to the ring. Dinero made the cover and got the 1-2-3! D'Angelo Dinero pinned Kyle O'Reilly with the DDE in 0:12:09. Rating: *** ½ (D'Angelo Dinero retained the X-Division Title.)Commercial BreakNon-Title Match “Dashing” Cody Rhodes vs. © “The Olympic Gold Medalist” Kurt Anglea lot of weight rode on the outcome of this match tonight, as Cody Rhodes was hoping to earn himself a place as co-number one contender for the Heavyweight Title; Matt Morgan sat at ringside, hoping to see himself named challenger out-right. The mood at ringside was very tense as Angle – wearing a bandage from injuries endured last night – and Rhodes started the match. Rhodes looked impressive throughout the match, a sign that he may be capable of bigger things in the near future, and he gave the Champion a better challenge then the fans were thinking. The match made its way outside the ring, and Cody executed a cross body block off the apron, but seemed to have landed awkwardly, as he laid motionless on the concrete for a few seconds. Regaining his bearings, Rhodes brought the match back inside the ring, where he set Angle up for the Cross Rhodes. As he hit the move, Morgan left the announce table and grabbed Angle's leg, making him unable to kick out of the finisher. Rhodes covered Angle as the referee counted to three! Morgan then slid into the ring, and as Rhodes turned around, connected with the Carbon Footprint! Anarchy went off the air with Morgan standing over both fallen bodies, in the center of the ring. Cody Rhodes pinned Kurt Angle with the Cross Rhodes in 0:12:43. Cody Rhodes suffered a concussion, and will be out approximately one (1) card. Monday Night Anarchy January 3, 2011 Cajundome – Lafayette, Louisiana Attendance: 5,891 (51%) … Rhodes brought the match back inside the ring, where he set Angle up for the Cross Rhodes. As he hit the move, Morgan left the announce table and grabbed Angle's leg, making him unable to kick out of the finisher. Rhodes covered Angle as the referee counted to three! Morgan then slid into the ring, and as Rhodes turned around, connected with the Carbon Footprint...“Headstrong” plays through the arena as fireworks shoot from the stage. Cameras pan around the arena, showing the mostly-filled seats and the cheering crowd. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to the fist Anarchy of 2011, and wish everyone a Happy New Year. They discuss the possible explanations that Matt Morgan might have, concerning his actions last week, before announcing that Morgan is scheduled to face Cody Rhodes, later tonight, to determine the number one contender for Kurt Angle's Heavyweight Title. MATT MORGAN makes his way to the ring, in street clothes, receiving a roar of boos from the crowd. He says that the crowd can waste their breath, booing him, but that it wasn't going to make a difference; and it wasn't going to change what happened last week. Morgan says that, ever since he was in TNA, he was continuously looked over for chances to challenge for the Heavyweight Title. Morgan said that he could be just as conniving as anyone else in the back, and that he proved that last week. He says that he has been getting asked, everywhere he goes, why he did what he did to Kurt Angle last week; essentially forcing himself to face Cody Rhodes for the Number One Contenders spot. Morgan says that its a simple two-part explanation. First, he says that he just wanted to ensure that Angle lost his first match after winning the Heavyweight Title. Morgan says that he's dealt with Angle plenty of times before, and that he's seen fame and championships go to Angle's head. He says that, he did what he did, to prove that anyone can lose – on any given night – and to not take it for granted. Secondly, Morgan says that he isn't bothered by the idea of facing Cody Rhodes; that he doesn't think of Rhodes as a legitimate threat to take Morgan's title shot away from him. Morgan says that he's so sure that he'll beat Rhodes tonight, that he guarantees victory – getting another round of boos from the crowd. PETER BRADSHAW makes his way on-stage, interrupting Morgan's comments, and saying that he had no other choice but to come out and burst Morgan's egotistical bubble. Bradshaw says that, due to Morgan's little “stunt” last week, Cody Rhodes received a concussion, and will NOT be competing tonight. But, Bradshaw says that Morgan WILL be competing, and announces that he will be facing RANDY ORTON in tonight's main event. Bradshaw also announces that the Number One Contenders match will take place next week, when Rhodes is cleared to compete. Bradshaw leaves the stage as Morgan looks on in shock. Commercial BreakNon-Title Match Daffney vs. © NatalyaLast week, Natalya set down the gauntlet for Velvet Sky, promising to defeat Love one more time, in order to keep the Women's Title around her waist. Tonight, she had her first match since Caged Rage, and stepped into the ring with the “Demonic Princess”. Natalya started off very strong, wanting to send a message to Velvet, but the match got out of control once the Vixens made their way outside the ring. Daffney turned the tide, using her surroundings to get the better of the Women's Champion. Daffney whipped Natalya into the ring steps, and as Natalya turned back around, she fell victim to the Lobotomy on the concrete floor! Daffney rolled back inside the ring as the referee counted to ten. After the match, VELVE SKY and ANGELINA LOVE come out to the stage. Velvet says that she's taking Natalya's words to heart, and going to watch what she says; she says that she has to tell Natalya that she doesn't need to focus on their match at Brutality, but that she needs to focus on her matches from week to week instead. Daffney defeated Natalya by count-out in 0:09:37. Rating: * ½Commercial BreakROB TERRY is seen doing a set of push-ups, backstage, as SKIP SHEFFIELD approaches, slapping Terry on the back as he stands up. Terry quickly turns, and stops short of hitting Sheffield, looking at him eye-to-eye. Terry says that he doesn't know Sheffield, and that he doesn't necessarily like him either, but that they have no choice but to team up tonight. Sheffield says that he's just trying to make a name for himself; to prove that he's deserving of another shot after getting hurt a few months back. Terry turns around and says that Sheffield better not get hurt again, because its not just his record that's on the line tonight. “The Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer vs. “The Monster” AbyssThere was a lot of hype – and hope – running through the arena in the lead-up for this match, as the possibility of destruction was very high. Dreamer came out strong at the beginning, but Abyss countered that with his power and size. However, both men made their way outside the ring, and began brawling at ringside, paying no attention to the referee's count. Both men were counted out, and the crowd their their disapproval known, but both men continued to brawl outside the ring as the bell rang. HWL officials made their way down to the ring and were able to separate both men and escort them backstage. Abyss and Tommy Dreamer battled to a double count-out in 0:04:02. Rating: *Commercial BreakALEX SHELLEY comes out to the ring, as Anarchy returns back from commercials. Shelley says that, a few months ago, he had to say goodbye to his partner because he was just tired of the business; he had to say goodbye to being the longest-reigning tag team champions in the history of the HWL. Shelley says that he had overcome that issue, slowly, but teaming up with Randy Orton helped ease the shock. Shelley says that he and Orton had plenty of chances to walk into this ring and walk out with the Tag Team Titles; but, for whatever reason, that never happened. Shelley says that all changed, just a couple weeks ago, when Orton decided to interfere in the X-Division Fatal Four Way. Shelley says that, not only did Orton attack Evan Bourne and Yoshi Tatsu, but that he attacked Shelley after the match! Shelley says that he wants Orton to come down to the ring, and explain himself, because as of two weeks ago, their partnership is officially over! After a few moments, RANDY ORTON made his way to the ring, getting into the face of Alex Shelley, and snatching the microphone from his hands. Orton says that he's not going to waste any time, apologizing to Shelley for what happened, because he wasn't sorry. Orton says that he came out here, two weeks ago, to prove a point; that he is getting sick and tired of being held down by some tag team has-been, who's partner left him – and the business – while on the top of the division. Orton says he wasn't tired of the business, but that he was tired of having to make sure Shelley didn't screw things up and cost them the titles. Orton says that he was never afforded that luxury, and had to find out first-hand, that Shelley wasn't worthy of being his partner. Orton says that he isn't fazed at all by Shelley ending their partnership, because he can now go back to challenging for the Heavyweight Title. Orton slams down the microphone and starts to head out of the ring... Shelley stops Orton, by saying that he's not satisfied with Orton's answer; and says that there's only one way to resolve the issue. Shelley then challenges Orton to a match at Brutality, saying that, if Orton has the “balls”, he'll try and beat Shelley in a fair fight. Orton smirks at Shelley's request and leaves the ring, giving no answer. Commercial BreakNon-Title Match Skip Sheffield/Rob Terry vs. © The Hart DynastyA lot of questions surrounded the teaming of Sheffield and Terry tonight, as they stepped into the ring against the Tag Team Champions. Terry got a quick pin-fall attempt, but complained to the referee about a slow count after Tyson Kidd kicked out at two. With the referee down, both teams did whatever they could to pick up an advantage, but neither team was sustain it. Bad timing led the champions to a loss as, while the referee was getting to his feet, NATALYA tripped Sheffield. The referee called for the bell, awarding the match to Sheffield and Terry. After the match, Smith and Kidd double-teamed Sheffield for just a minute, before Terry entered the ring and cleared house, much to the surprise of the crowd! The Hart Dynasty and Natalya walked away from the ring, disgusted, as Sheffield and Terry stood in the ring, triumphant. Skip Sheffield & Rob Terry defeated The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) when Sheffield defeated D.H. Smith by disqualification in 0:07:29. Rating: ** [Natalya interfered against Skip Sheffield.]Commercial BreakA preview for next week's “Anarchy” announces the Number One Contenders Match between Cody Rhodes and Matt Morgan. X-Division Match Evan Bourne vs. Montel Vontavious PorterA new chapter in the quest to name the new number one contender for the X-Division Title started tonight, a week after Porter challenged D'Angelo Dinero to a match at Brutality. Tonight, though, Porter returned to the hardcore stylings of the division against Evan Bourne, who was out to make a name for himself. Bourne came out strong tonight, showing off his aerial abilities – skills that the HWL fans haven't seen on a regular basis – and kept Porter from using his slight strength advantage. The match made its way to the outside, where Bourne used the ring steps and guardrail to wear Porter down. Bourne brought Porter back into the ring and connected with a moonsault to pick up the victory. After the match, Bourne celebrated on the ramp as the crowd applauded his performance. Evan Bourne pinned Montel Vontavious Porter after a moonsault in 0:10:48. Rating: ** ¾Commercial Break“The Blueprint” Matt Morgan vs. “The Viper” Randy OrtonEarlier in the evening, Peter Bradshaw announced that, because of Morgan's actions over the past couple weeks, he would be stepping into the ring with Randy Orton. “The Viper”, who just recently started to show a much darker Quickly after the bell rang, the match was taken outside the ring, where Orton showed his dark streak, ramming Morgan's head into the ring post – opening up a small cut on Morgan's forehead – before taking “The Blueprint” back inside. Orton stalked Morgan as he got to his feet, and connected with an RKO, but was only able to get a two-count out of the attempt. Morgan fought back, as the blood started to run down his face, and gave Orton a fight that his previous victims were unable to do. Morgan sent Orton down with a massive clothesline, and attempted the Hellevator, but Orton slid down Morgan's back and escape to the outside. Back outside, they brawled near the announces table, and nearly got counted out, before re-entering the ring. With Orton's back turned, Morgan set up for the Carbon Footprint, but Orton ducked the move, kicked Morgan in the gut, and planted him with a DDT. Orton, again, stalked Morgan, and quickly “punted” him in the head. With the crowd in shock, Orton picked up Morgan and gave him a second RKO. Orton made the cover as the referee counted to three. After the match, Orton stood victorious over Morgan, as Anarchy went off the air. Randy Orton pinned Matt Morgan with the RKO in 0:08:13. Rating: **Card rating: ** 1/4

I see Orton quickly moving up the ladder to become a top contender. An Angle/Orton feud for the belt seems really promising.
I like Morgan's character, but I think he's been losing too much recently to really be seen as a title contender

Monday Night Anarchy January 10, 2011 New Orleans Arena – New Orleans, Louisiana Attendance: 13,500 (75%) A recap of last week's episode ends with Randy Orton standing victorious over Matt Morgan. “Headstrong” blares through the arena as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to the “Big Easy”, just 20 days away from Brutality. Tonight, they announce that Matt Morgan will face Cody Rhodes for the right to face Kurt Angle for the Heavyweight Title on January 30th. Also, tonight, X-Division Champion D'Angelo Dinero, will be in non-title action against Adam Cole. Kurt Angle's music begins to play as the champion walks down to the ring with the Heavyweight Title draped over his shoulder. He gets on the microphone and begins to address the crowd.... KA: (looking around the arena) “You know, after hearing what Matt Morgan had to say last week, I felt like I needed to come out here and getting off my chest, too. Last week, Matt Morgan said that he was never given chances to challenge for the Heavyweight Title during our time in TNA. But you, I, and even Matt, himself, know that's a lie! He was given chances when he deserved them; he just couldn't win the “big one” when it mattered! Don't get me wrong, though, he was the first-ever Heavyweight Champion here in the HWL; and that's something that will never be taken away from him.” “But, Matt, two weeks ago, you crossed the line when you interfered in my match against Cody Rhodes. Head games don't work on me, Matt. You, more than anyone, should realize that. But, I'm not out here to say that I'm going to get revenge on you, because I don't have to. Karma already struck, and you can't imagine how loud I laughed, when I watched Randy Orton beat you last week. But, Matt, you do have a chance to redeem yourself tonight. All you have to do is beat Cody Rhodes, and you'll have your chance to win the “Big One”. But even if you are lucky enough to win tonight, we all know that you'll just come up short – like always – at Brutality.” Angle then leaves the ring as Anarchy goes to commercials.
(1) Kaz vs. “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards Eddie Edwards was looking to get back to even with a victory over Kaz, tonight. The match was very fast-paced, and the crowd got into it from the beginning, but things took a much slower pace as AJ STYLES and MR. ANDERSON made their way down to ringside. Anderson tripped Kaz, nearly getting Edwards disqualified, and thus causing Kaz to have to spread his attention from his opponent to the two men wanting to screw him out of a victory, outside the ring. Kaz was able to hit the Wave of the Future, but being so close to the ropes, Styles placed Edwards foot on them, causing the referee to stop the count. Frustrated, and staring right at Styles, Kaz hit a German suplex in the center of the ring, and covered Edwards for the win. After the match, Kaz and Styles shared words as, beyond Kaz's view, Mr. Anderson entered the ring. Anderson connected with a surprise Mic Check, and stood defiantly over Kaz as the crowd booed.Kaz pinned Eddie Edwards after a German suplex in 0:12:27. Rating: *** ½ [Mr. Anderson interfered against Kaz.]Backstage, Evan Bourne is seen walking though the aisle ways, when he is approached by X-Division Champion, D'Angelo Dinero... DD: “Yo, Bourne.” EB: (turning to face Dinero) “... hey.” DD: “The Pope just wanted to say congrats for that win over MVP last week.” EB: “Thanks.” DD: “Keep it up.” Dinero walks away as Bourne stares at him, questioning their interaction. In another area of the arena, Alisha Hicks is seen with Matt Morgan... AH: “Matt Morgan, tonight, Kurt Angle started off the show with some pretty strong words about you and the past you two have shared. Do you have any comment?” MM: “Kurt Angle said that I had my chances for the Heavyweight Title during our time in TNA, and he's right. But, we've all seen what that company does to the people that want to make something of themselves. They build them up, right to the level of “stardom”, and then drop them back to the bottom of the barrel in favor of some aging piece of dirt, who had their best days 10 to 20 years ago. I wasn't going to sit around and watch my career be decided by people who should be sitting on their asses, getting retirement. I was the first-ever HWL Heavyweight Champion. The X-Division Title and the Tag Team Titles mean nothing to me, because I've been to the mountain top. Nothing is going to satisfy me until I get back to the peak of the HWL. Kurt Angle should know, first-hand, that I won't let anything stop me until I get there.” AH: “He also mentioned your actions two weeks ago, and how Karma has already given you what you deserved...” MM: (laughs) “Angle thinks that he can get inside my head with “karma”? Because I lost to Randy Orton last week? That might be the case, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm still fighting for a shot to get inside that ring with Angle at Brutality. I believe in Karma, and if it's already struck, like Angle wants to believe, then I have nothing to worry about tonight. Plain and simple.” Morgan walks away as the camera goes back to the ring... (2) Velvet Sky vs. Sarita Velvet Sky has been climbing up the ladder in the Vixen's division, picking up more and more experience as she gets closer to her Women's Title match against Natalya, at Brutality. Tonight, she stepped into the ring against former champion, Sarita, but the match ended almost as quickly as it started. NATALYA made her way to the ring, just after the bell rang, and began tormenting Velvet. Sarita tossed Velvet outside the ring as Natalya stalked her from the other side of the ring. As the referee began the 10-count, Sarita distracted him, allowing Natalya to throw Velvet into the ring steps before making her way back up the ramp. The referee eventually continued the 10-count, effectively counting out Velvet, and awarding the match to Sarita.Sarita defeated Velvet Sky by count-out in 0:03:53. Rating: * ¼ [Natalya interfered against Velvet Sky.]
Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with AJ STYLES, MR. ANDERSON, and RIC FLAIR... AH: “Ric Flair, earlier tonight, we saw these two men come down to the ring, and attack Kaz during his match with Eddie Edwards. Do you, or either of them, have any explanation for your actions? RF: (smiling) “Listen up, toots! AJ Styles, Mr. Anderson, and certainly, “The Nature Boy”, don't owe you – or anyone – an explanation for what we do. You're looking at the greatest World Heavyweight Champion of all time; a two-time HWL Heavyweight Champion; and a man, who's just about to break out in this business. But, most importantly, you're looking at the next HWL Tag Team Champions!” AS: “You know, Alisha, Ken and myself have just been sitting on the back burner for the past couple months, buying our time before we start breaking out and making our way back to the top. Having the dirtiest player in the game giving you advise is one of the biggest honors we could ever have. But, now it's time for us to go out there and show everyone that we're not going to be held down; and there's no one that's going to stop us from winning those Tag Team Titles.” MA: “It's simple, really. Like AJ said, we've been sitting in the back, watching everybody else get their chances handed to them. We couldn't sit back and watch those same people get the chances that should rightfully be ours. So, we're not going to wait for handouts anymore; and, we've decided to go out and get what we want. Kaz, tonight, he was just a casualty of the war we're going to take to The Hart Dynasty. They've held those belts for far too long, and it's clear that we're the team that's going to take them from them. So, all those little peons in the crowd will have to brace themselves, because at Brutality, they will see the Tag Team Titles placed around the waists of “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles and Mr. Anderson!... … … Anderson.” RF: “Woo!” The three men walk away, as the camera shows Ted Hanson, backstage, with CODY RHODES... TH: “Cody Rhodes, first things first, how are you feeling tonight?” CR: “I'm feeling alright...” TH: “You've been cleared to wrestle tonight, but do you think you're ready to step into the ring with the man who concussed you, with a chance to challenge for the Heavyweight Title on the line?” CR: “Ted, what in the world makes you think that I'm not NOT ready? Not only is there a chance to fight Kurt Angle for the Heavyweight Title in three weeks, but tonight, I get the chance to get my hands on Matt Morgan. Of course I'm ready! If anyone should be ready, it's Matt Morgan, because, he may've gotten past karma and all that; but I'm not gonna be so easy on him.” Rhodes walks away as Ted Hanson looks off into the distance... (3) AJ Styles/Mr. Anderson (w/Chelsea & Ric Flair) vs. The Usos (w/Tamina) After making their presence known, earlier tonight, it was time for Styles and Anderson to prove what they could do inside the ring. They faced off with a team who came up short in their own quest to win the Tag Team Titles Chelsea and Ric Flair were kept at bay by Tamina, so the match would be decided by the four men in the ring. Styles and Anderson started off strong, but the power advantage was with The Usos, as evident when Jimmy Uso lifted Anderson into a choke lift while the referee threatened disqualification. The match ended on an odd note, as Jey connected with a backdrop on AJ, who had a hard time getting to his feet. Jey made the cover, and the referee counted to three, giving The Usos a huge victory. After the match, Chelsea and Flair entered the ring to check on Styles, slowly escorting him to the backstage area. The Uso (Jimmy & Jey) defeated AJ Styles & Mr. Anderson when Jey pinned Styles via pinfall in 0:13:12. Rating: *** ¾Backstage, ALEX SHELLEY is seen walking through the hallways, when he his approached by EVAN BOURNE... EB: “Alex. I know you've challenged Randy Orton to a match at the pay-per-view...” AS: “Yeah.” EB: “I just wanted to let you know, that I'm in, too. I want to get my hands on Orton just as bad as you do...” Bourne walks away, leaving Shelley in the hallway, nodding his head...
PETER BRADSHAW is seen, sitting in his office, backstage, when TOMMY DREAMER enters... TD: “Peter, are you busy?” PB: “No. What's on your mind, Tommy?” TD: “We both know, just like all the fans out there tonight, that the match Abyss and I had last week, just isn't going to sit well with either one of us, especially me. I want another shot, at Brutality... in a hardcore rules match.” (Crowd cheers) PB: (thinking) “Ya know... that doesn't sound like a bad idea, Tommy. I'll see what I can do, but plan on being in Miami.” Dreamer smirks before turning, and walking out of the office... (4) Adam Cole vs. © “The Pope” D'Angelo Dinero (Non-Title Match) In just his second match on the main roster, Adam Cole stepped into the ring with the X-Division Champion, and put on one of the best matches the Champion has seen since winning the belt. Cole came out strong, stunning Dinero with a variety of kicks and high-risk moves. Cole went for the Yakuza Kick, but Dinero was able to duck out of the way, just in time to see Montel Vontavious Porter making his way to the ring. The match made its way outside the ring, where both men battled through the ringside area, just barely getting back into the ring before the referee counted to 10. Minute later, Dinero was able to connect with the DDE, but Cole, showing a display of fortitude, kicked out of the move and rolled out of the ring. Feeling the match was in hand, Dinero followed suit, and the two men began to brawl at ringside. However, neither was willing to re-enter the ring, and the referee counted them both out! After the match, Porter made his presence known, attacking Dinero from behind. Cole and Porter teamed up to assault Dinero, until EVAN BOURNE ran down to the ring and cleared the scene! Porter and Cole escaped through the crowd as Bourne helped Dinero to his feet. D'Angelo Dinero and Adam Cole battled to a double count-out in 0:16:21. Rating: ** ½ [Montel Vontavious Porter interfered against D'Angelo Dinero.]Backstage, Ted Hanson confronts RANDY ORTON... TH: “Randy, earlier tonight, Evan Bourne told Alex Shelley that he, too, wanted to step into the ring with you at Brutality. What do you have you to say about that?” Orton stops and stares at Hanson, not saying a word, before walking away... A preview for “Brutality” is shown, with “World So Cold”, by Three Days Grace, playing in the background.
(5) “Dashing” Cody Rhodes vs. “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan (#1 Contenders Match) Matt Morgan appeared to be quite prophetic tonight, saying that karma had already struck, last week, by coming out and appearing to have nothing to worry about as he stepped into the ring with Cody Rhodes. Two weeks ago, Morgan connected with a vicious Carbon Footprint, that kept Rhodes out of action with a concussion. Tonight, Morgan seemed intent on doing more damage to Rhodes, focusing his attention on Rhodes' neck and head throughout the match. Morgan used a lot of mat hold, putting pressure on Rhodes' neck, wearing him down, and Rhodes – who seemed to still be suffering from side effects – was never able to mount any reasonable offense. Morgan connected with his second Carbon Footprint, in three weeks, and pinned Rhodes... crowning himself as the new number one contender for the Heavyweight Title. After the match, KURT ANGLE appeared on-stage, with the Heavyweight Title...KA: “Well, well, well. I guess I should come out here and give you the credit you deserve, Matt. Apparently, you were right; karma had already struck, and you came out here and did exactly what you said you were going to do. Congratulations on earning your shot at me, and the Heavyweight Title. This is going to be your one last shot at me, Matt, and with the title on the line, you better make it worth your while. Because, on January 30th, I plan on keeping this title around my waist. And, when I make you tap out, or pin your shoulders to that canvas, I will know that I am finally finished with you, once and for all.” The two of them stare at each other, from across the ring, as Anarchy goes off the air. Matt Morgan/Kurt Angle should be a good main event for the ppv. It's your best built feud for sure.
Why on earth are the #1 contenders for the tag titles jobbing clean on television before their title shot to another team?

It is announced that, due to the events that took place last week, Evan Bourne will team up with X-Division Champion, D'Angelo Dinero, to take on the team of Adam Cole and Montel Vontavious Porter. Also, in tonight's main event, Ted DiBiase will take on Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle, in a non-title match.
Matt Morgan's music hits as “The Blueprint” makes his way out to the ring, dressed in street clothes. He grabs a microphone and stands in the center of the ring, as the crowd continues to boo him...
MM: “You know, I could think of a few things I'd rather be doing then standing here in the middle of this disgrace you people call a home town. But, I also thought that I'd come out and give you worthless hicks the chance to see your soon-to-be new Heavyweight Champion, since it's obvious you won't be able to afford the pay-per-view in two weeks. I've been running some ideas over in my mind since last Monday night, knowing that Brutality is my last chance to step into the ring with Kurt Angle, and I have come out here tonight to inform Kurt – and you pathetic people – of my decision. Now, Kurt, I know you've got your hands full later tonight, but I hope your ears are burning right now – or that you're paying attention to the words I'm about to say. Kurt, at Brutality, I want our match to mean something. I want our last match to give us both the opportunity to get out all the aggression and anger out of us. I want our last match to be the chance for me to beat you to a bloody pulp, in front of all your fans, and to walk away with the Heavyweight Title over my shoulder for the second time. Kurt, at Brutality, I want our match to be a Falls-Count-Anywhere, Street Fight! No submissions, no count-outs. The only way either of us can win is by beating the living hell out of each other and hearing the referee count to three. Kurt, my decision has been made. I just hope you're ready to accept what happens to you in two weeks...”
Morgan leaves the ring as Anarchy goes to commercials...
(1) Alex Shelley vs. Tyson Kidd (w/Natalya)
The X-Division was in full force to start the program as Alex Shelley stepped into the ring with one-half of the Tag Team Champions, Tyson Kidd. Kidd started the match with the upper hand, having Natalya at ringside, which made Shelley a little hesitant to reach into his bag of tricks. Kidd started off the match in control, but missed a springboard elbowdrop, that Shelley took advantage of. Shelley had Kidd positioned in the center of the ring with a side headlock, and ran into the ropes, only to be tripped by Natalya. The referee quickly called for the bell and awarded the match to Shelley as Kidd looked on in disbelief.
Alex Shelley defeated Tyson Kidd by disqualification in 0:04:38. Rating: * ½
Backstage, AJ STYLES and MR. ANDERSON are seen sitting on a metal chairs, while Chelsea stands in a corner, looking down at the floor, as Ric Flair paces back and forth in front of them...
RF: “Do either one of you want to explain what took place out in that ring last week? I've been in this business for longer then you two have been alive, and I don't think I've ever seen a sorrier display inside a wrestling ring! And, you two call yourselves your number one contenders for the Tag Team Titles?”
AS: “Ric, it's not that simple. You know I could've kicked out, but I hurt my back...”
RF: “AJ... AJ... AJ. You, of all people, shouldn't be making excuses. You're a two-time Heavyweight Champion here, and you're telling me that a hurt back was keeping you from kicking out last week? AJ, do you take me for some kind of a fool? I'm the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair! I saw something in you two, and wanted to take you under my wing. But, you need to prove to me that both of you want it. Hell, I've already gotten you a title reign, AJ; and, now you're lined up to get shots at the Tag Team Titles.”
MA: “Ric, listen...”
RF: “No, Ken. You should be just as upset as I am about this, but you're not. You were close. You had your shot at the Heavyweight Title, and came up short. Now, just like AJ, you have a shot at the Tag Team Titles, and you're out there losing to the Usos! I would love to know what's going through your minds right now, but I'm not sure I want to know what you're thinking. All you two need to know, is that there is more then you could ever imagine riding on your match at Brutality. You two need to step it up, or you're never going to hold those tag team titles!”
Flair walks away from the two, and out of the locker room, as the camera goes to another area of the arena, where Randy Orton is seen getting out of his car in the parking lot. As Orton closes the driver's side door, EVAN BOURNE comes out of nowhere and attacks “The Viper”! Bourne throws Orton into his car, denting the door. Orton falls to the concrete as Bourne stands over him...
EB: “Randy, I really hope you change your mind about this match, because there are a lot of people who want to do what I just did. Just say yes, Randy. You got yourself into this mess...”
Bourne walks away as the camera focuses on Orton's motionless body...
(2) Gail Kim vs. © Natalya – Non Title Match -
Strong match from these two veteran Vixens. They've been in the ring with each other numerous times, and each time they have put on very entertaining matches; and this time was no exception. Natalya came out swinging, and held the advantage for a good portion of the match, until Kim connected with a flying cross body to the outside of the ring! Kim kept on the attack, knowing that a win over the Women's Champion would be huge for her chances of challenging for the title once again, but Natalya proved why she had been champion for so long, as she quickly regained the advantage – reversing an irish whip into the ring apron – and began to focus on Kim's lower back. In no time, the match resumed inside the ring as Natalya locked in the Sharpshooter, and Kim quickly tapped out from the pain.
Natalya made Gail Kim submit to the Sharpshooter in 0:12:52. Rating: ***
Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with the HWL Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle...
AH: “Kurt, earlier tonight, Matt Morgan came out to the ring and issued a challenge to you, for a Street Fight at Brutality.” KA: (smiling) “.. because he wants to hurt me. Alisha, you know it, I know it, and everyone sitting out in those seats tonight, knows that Matt Morgan's just running his mouth to hear himself speak; all he's doing is blowing hot air! Matt Morgan wants to hurt me. He had his chance to hurt me the two previous times we fought, and he surely had his chance to do so last month, inside that steel cage. Now, I'm aware that he has beaten me, but he has never broken me. Matt knows I have his number, and that, at Brutality, that's going to be no different. And, it doesn't matter what type of match we're in. But, since he's already chosen what match he wants, I have an obligation to go out there and give it to him...”
Angle walks away from Alisha, leaving her standing in front of the camera, as the scene switches to another area backstage, where SARITA confronts NATALYA...
Sarita: “Listen, I know we haven't gotten along in the past; in fact, I don't really think anyone in the back cares for anything you, but I wanted to say you're welcome.” Natalya: (looking oddly at Sarita) 'And, what exactly am I thanking you for?” Sarita: (scoffs) “I think you know exactly what you should thank me for. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have gotten the chance to do what you did against Velvet Sky...” Natalya: “Whoa, whoa. I don't need your help to handle Velvet Sky. If anything, you should be thanking me, because if I hadn't come down there, and you didn't take advantage and distract the referee, you may – or may not – have beaten her. So, in fact, you're welcome.”
Natalya smirks at Sarita and turns to walk away, leaving Sarita fuming as the camera goes back to ringside...
(3) Adam Cole/Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Evan Bourne/(c) D'Angelo Dinero
After last week's all-out brawl between these four me, Peter Bradshaw thought it'd be best to put them in a match, in the hopes of having them finish what they started seven days ago. Dinero and Porter will meet at Brutality for the X-Division Title, and earlier tonight, Evan Bourne sought out, and attacked, Randy Orton – who found his way down to the ring during the match – leaving Adam Cole as the only participant with no pre-match baggage. Both teams, in their first matches together, were very impressive, but Bourne was caught more than once looking over his shoulder at “The Viper”. Outside of interfering early on in the match, Orton stood at ringside, watching as Bourne was able to connect with a flying forearm on Porter to pick up the victory. After the match, Orton made his way up the ramp, applauding Bourne's victory, but saying nothing about the attack.
Evan Bourne & D'Angelo Dinero defeated Adam Cole & Montel Vontavious Porter when E. Bourne pinned MVP after a flying forearm in 0:19:19. Rating: **** [Randy Orton interfered against Evan Bourne.]
Backstage, TYSON KIDD and DAVID HART SMITH are seen talking inside their locker room, as NATALYA storms in, still upset from her confrontation with Sarita. Kidd and Smith stop talking as she enters...
Natalya: “What?” DHS/TK: “Nothing.” Natalya: (staring at them) “What were you two talking about? Was it about me?” TK: (looking at Smith and taking a deep breath) “Nat, we've been talking about it for a couple weeks now, and after tonight, we figured it was about time that we tell you. We've been getting tired of constantly losing matches because of your interference...” DHS: “What we're trying to say, Nat, is that we think you should take some time off, and stay backstage for couple weeks. With you being at ringside for our matches, and then having to wrestle you own, we can only imagine how wore out you must feel...” Natalya: (narrowing her eyes at them) “Heh. Do you two realize the night I've had? And, you're telling me that you want me to stay backstage, because I'm costing you matches? You two clearly don't see all the stuff I do for you! Think about all those times you could've had those tag team titles taken away from you; only to keep them around your waists. And, why is that? Because you can't lose the belts by disqualification!” TK: “Would you like to keep your title, and keep winning matches by disqualification, Nat?” Natalya: “No, fine. You guys are right. I've made it look like you can't win without me. I get it. So, I will gladly do you a favor, and sit out for the next couple weeks, so you can go out and do what you need to do. But, in return, there's something I want you two to do for me...”
Natalya turns towards the camera and puts her hand in front of the lens, pushing the cameraman out of the locker room, as Anarchy goes to commercials.
Alisha Hicks is seen with CODY RHODES, backstage, as Anarchy returns...
AH: “Cody Rhodes, last week, you came up just moments short of earning a shot at the Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle, at Brutality. After such a hard-fought match against Matt Morgan, what are your thoughts as you go forward?” CR: “My thoughts going forward? Alisha, it's simple. I came up short last week to Matt Morgan, and I get to sit backstage and watch him challenge for the title in a match that should be mine! I made some mistakes last week, and I put myself in this position; but, I promise you, that you're going to hear about Cody Rhodes and the Heavyweight Title for a long time to come.”
Rhodes walks away from Alisha, as the camera goes back to ringside...
(4) Kaz vs. Mr. Anderson (w/Ric Flair)
Last week, Mr. Anderson attacked Kaz during his match with Eddie Edwards. Tonight, Peter Bradshaw gave Kaz the chance to get even with Anderson; but Kaz had to be concerned with “The Nature Boy” standing at ringside. Anderson started off the match strongly, using Kaz's concern to his advantage. The match made it's way outside the ring, where, surprisingly, Ric Flair backed away from the action, allowing Anderson to control the match on his own. Back in the ring, Kaz was able to stop Anderson's momentum, and connected with the Wave of the Future! This gave Flair the opportunity to put himself in the match, as he placed Anderson's foot on the rope, breaking the three count. Kaz, furious, got to his feet and started demanding Flair enter the ring; all the while, Anderson got to his feet and composed himself. As Kaz turned around, he was met with a kick to the gut, as Anderson followed up with the Mic Check, for the 1-2-3. After the match, Anderson rolled out of the ring, as he and Flair celebrated the victory as they walked up the ramp.
Mr. Anderson pinned Kaz with the Mic Check in 0:17:31. Rating: **** ¾
A preview for “Brutality” is shown, highlighting the matches that will take place on January 30th, live from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.
Backstage, the camera shows RIC FLAIR and MR. ANDERSON making their way to their locker room, as KAZ comes from behind and takes out Flair! Kaz and Anderson begin to brawl in the hallway as HWL officials rush over and try to break up the fight. The two are eventually separated, and escorted off to other areas of the arena, as Anarchy goes to commercials...
(5) Ted DiBiase vs. © Kurt Angle (Non Title Match)
After agreeing to the Street Fight stipulation, for his match against Matt Morgan at Brutality, Kurt Angle brought the Heavyweight Title to the ring for this non-title match against Ted DiBiase. DiBiase looked poised to cause a huge upset, as he shocked Angle – and the fans – with his aggressive style tonight. Angle looked lost in the ring, and on more than one occasion, resorted to using an illegal low blow to stop his opponent's momentum. Angle was able to legitimately fight back, eventually, hitting an Angle Slam, but deciding to not go for the cover. Instead, apparently wanting to prove that he can withstand the action of a Street Fight, Angle brought DiBiase outside the ring, and used the surroundings to wear him down. After whipping DiBiase into the steel ring steps, Angle rolled him under the bottom rope, and quickly entered the ring, locking in the Ankle Lock. DiBiase stretched out, in vain, trying to reach the ropes, but Angle pulled him into the center of the ring, and dropped down, forcing DiBiase to use what was left of his strength to escape. DiBiase was unable to do so, and tapped out, awarded Angle the match. After the match, Angle celebrated in-ring with the Heavyweight Title as Anarchy went off the air.
Kurt Angle made Ted DiBiase submit to the Ankle Lock in 0:18:20. Rating: *** ¼

Monday Night Anarchy Januar 24, 2011 Amway Center – Orlando, Florida Attendance: 9,065 (49%) The final moments of last week's main event, between Ted DiBiase and Kurt Angle, are shown as Anarchy comes on the air. “Headstrong” by Trapt begins to play through the arena as fireworks shoot from the stage area. The camera pans around the smoke-filled arena as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Orlando, just six days away from Brutality. It is announced, that tonight “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan will take on Mr. Anderson in the main event; and, also tonight, the new team of Skip Sheffield and Rob Terry will take on The Hart Dynasty in non-title action. They send it to the ring for tonight's first match. (1) Michelle McCool vs. Velvet Sky Tonight saw the debut of former WWE Diva, Michelle McCool, who was making her debut not far from her hometown in Florida. This match was very physical, and both women but their hearts and souls into it. McCool came out very strong, shocking Velvet with her offensive display; even hitting the Faith Breaker on two separate occasions! But, Velvet showed why she has been able to earn the right to challenge for the Women's Title this Sunday night, as she fought back, and kicked out of McCool's finisher for the second time. Frustrated, McCool shoved down the referee, and this gave Velvet the opportunity to hit the Beauty Mark for the 1-2-3! Velvet rolled out of the ring, and celebrated with her fans as McCool slowly made it to her feet.Velvet Sky pinned Michelle McCool with the Beauty Mark in 0:18:21. Rating: * ¾Backstage, PETER BRADSHAW is seen in his office as RIC FLAIR, AJ STYLES, and MR. ANDERSON enter. Flair tells Bradshaw that something needs to be done about Kaz's actions last week. Flair recommends that Bradshaw suspends Kaz for attacking Flair last week, because Flair's not on the active roster. Bradshaw asks what happened to “The Nature Boy”, and says that Flair brought it upon himself by repeatedly interfering in Kaz's matches the last two weeks. Bradshaw says that the Flair, standing in front of him, is not the same one that would fight his own battles – especially ones that he started. Flair rips off his suit jacket and demands that he be put on the active roster, immediately, and that he wants Kaz in the ring tonight! Bradshaw says that he can make that happen, if it's something Flair really wants... but, before Flair can respond, Styles stops him, and volunteers himself to face Kaz in Flair's place. Flair storms out of the office, followed by Mr. Anderson, as Bradshaw agrees to sign Styles-Kaz for later in the show. In another area backstage, SARITA is seen walking through the hallway, when she is blindsided by NATALYA, who attacks her with Women's Title. Natalya stands over Sarita and tells her that she doesn't need anyone's help to keep the title around her waist. Natalya walks off as the camera focuses on Sarita's body, before heading back out to the ring... (2) “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards vs. “Dashing” Cody Rhodes Last week, Cody Rhodes said that he planned on staying a fixture in the Heavyweight Title picture, and tonight he stepped into the ring with Edwards, who was making his third appearance inside an HWL ring. Unfortunately, the match never really got started, as MATT MORGAN made his way down to the ring, and blindsided Rhodes with a vicious chair shot to the back! The referee quickly called for the bell, as Morgan made his way to the back; dented chair in-hand. Cody Rhodes defeated Eddie Edwards by disqualification in 0:02:28. Rating: ** [Matt Morgan interfered against Cody Rhodes.]
Coming back from the break, Alisha Hicks is seen with RANDY ORTON, sporting a small bandage on his head, backstage. Hicks says that, over the past few weeks, Orton has become a marked man, in the eyes of Alex Shelley and Evan Bourne; but that most of it could be attributed to Orton's own actions at Caged Rage. She asks Orton why he had never given an answer as to accepting their challenge for a match this Sunday night; Orton says that he was waiting to see which one of them wanted it bad enough. He says that they both proved that they want it, and that he will accept a match for this Sunday night, but that it will only be against one of them. Orton says that the decision must be made by Peter Bradshaw by the end of the night, or that Orton will not be in Miami. MATT MORGAN is seen walking through the backstage area, still holding the chair from moments ago, when he is encountered by Ted Hanson. Hanson asks for a reason for Morgan's actions, and Morgan says that Cody Rhodes said he wanted to be a big-name player in the Heavyweight Title picture. Morgan says that the road to the Heavyweight Title goes through “The Blueprint”, and that after Sunday night, Rhodes' path to the title will end with Morgan. (3) Skip Sheffield/Rob Terry vs. © The Hart Dynasty (Non Title Match) The Tag Team Champions were determined to prove that they could be successful without having Natalya at ringside. Tonight, they had their chance against the newly formed team of Sheffield and Terry. Smith and Kidd looked impressive; the fear of not getting disqualified gone, they began to show what they could do inside the ring, until AJ STYLES and MR. ANDERSON made their way down to ringside. The challengers for the Tag Team Titles watched as The Hart Dynasty's confidence began to fade, and Sheffield and Terry began to take over the match. Anderson and Styles both became involved in the match, respectively, and allowed Kidd to become distracted, falling victim to “Big Rob's” Freakbuster! Sheffield and Terry picked up a huge victory for themselves as Styles and Anderson made their way to the back.Skip Sheffield & Rob Terry defeated The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) when R. Terry pinned T. Kidd with the Freakbuster in 0:22:15. Rating: *** ½ [Mr. Anderson interfered against David Hart Smith.] [AJ Styles interfered against Tyson Kidd.]Backstage, TOMMY DREAMER is stopped by PETER BRADSHAW. Bradshaw says that he has been giving Dreamer's request some thought, and that he has finally agreed to give Dreamer his rematch, against Abyss, this Sunday night at Brutality. Bradshaw says, however, that neither Dreamer nor Abyss will know what kind of match they'll have until the the bell rings. Dreamer says that the match type doesn't matter; all the matters is that he redeem himself from a couple weeks ago. Dreamer thanks Bradshaw and walks away as Anarchy goes to commercials.
As Anarchy returns from the break, Ted Hanson is seen with MATT MORGAN. Hanson says that Morgan has already commented on his actions toward Cody Rhodes, earlier tonight; but, that he wants to know Morgan's thoughts on last week's main event between Kurt Angle and Ted DiBiase. Morgan says that he couldn't lie and say that he wasn't impressed by Angle's “change” last week, when their match went outside the ring. But, Morgan says, that Angle could look very impressive against someone like Ted DiBiase... and that it wouldn't mean a thing when he stepped into the ring with Morgan this Sunday night. Morgan says that DiBiase was an unwilling participant, and that he had no idea what Angle was thinking. The difference is, this Sunday night, Morgan will go into the match knowing exactly what Angle will try to do, and will have a counter for it. Morgan says that he hasn't been this prepared for a fight, probably throughout his entire career. He says that that means only one thing: that the HWL Heavyweight Title is leaving Miami on his shoulder... (4) Kaz vs. AJ Styles (w/Ric Flair) Program error. Match was not run. – Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with PETER BRADSHAW. Bradshaw says that he has had a very busy evening, and that a lot of things have been taken care of concerning Sunday night's pay-per-view. Bradshaw says that he has spent most of the night thinking about Randy Orton's conditions for his match at Brutality, and that he has to agree with “The Viper”. Bradshaw says that he is aware of how badly both Evan Bourne and Alex Shelley want to get into the ring with Orton, but that only one of them will get the chance. Bradshaw says that, on Sunday, Bourne and Shelley will face off, and the winner will face Orton later on in the event. Bradshaw thanks the crowd for their time, and walks away... The final preview for “Brutality” is shown, with “World So Cold” by Three Days Grace playing in the background. The event will take place, live, on January 30th, from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.
(5) Mr. Anderson vs. Matt Morgan With less than a week left before he challenges for the Heavyweight Title once again, Matt Morgan looked very impressive against Mr. Anderson, here tonight. Morgan used his strength advantage to wear down Ric Flair's egotistical charge, and to send a message to Kurt Angle – his opponent this Sunday night. Morgan even surprised the crowd tonight, displaying a variety of aerial moves that seemed impossible for someone of his size. Anderson tried his best to fight back, and to give himself a chance to win, but he quickly fell victim to a vertical side suplex slam, as Morgan picked up the victory.Matt Morgan pinned Mr. Anderson after a vertical suplex side slam in 0:08:55. I'm saddened that you all had nothing to read about the AJ Styles/Kaz match... Nah, whatever! I'm sure I'll write something about it during the next card!

HWL Brutality PPV January 30, 2011 American Airlines Arena – Miami, Florida Attendance: 11,956 (61%) Fireworks shoot off from the stage area as “World So Cold” by Three Days Grace blares through the arena. The thousands of fans in attendance cheer and scream, holding up home-made signs and other HWL merchandise, as cameras pan around the ringside area. At the broadcast table, Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Miami, and to the first-ever BRUTALITY pay-per-view. They announce that seven big matches will be taking place tonight, including the Heavyweight Title match between “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan and “The Olympic Gold Medalist” Kurt Angle. Josh takes time out of the introduction to apologize to the at-home audience, and to everyone who was in attendance at Monday Night Anarchy, as the planned matches between AJ STYLES and KAZ did not take place. Scott says that an altercation, that was too graphic to view on the network, took place between Styles, Kaz, Mr. Anderson, and Yoshi Tatsu. A video plays showing the four men brawling in the backstage area, when RIC FLAIR appears in-view, with a tazer in his hand. Flair is seen tazing both Kaz and Tatsu – as the crowd inside the arena groans at the visual – before Styles and Anderson assault them with items found nearby. After the video plays Josh announces that, after the show, Kaz and Tatsu were taken to a local hospital, and are reportedly during well. Scott says that no official word has come down from Peter Bradshaw about the matter, but that everyone is expecting something tomorrow night, live from Jacksonville... (1) Alex Shelley vs. Evan Bourne For weeks, both of these men were trying to prove which one wanted to step into the ring with Randy Orton more. Bourne had fallen victim to Orton's RKO last month at Cage Rage, and Alex Shelley found himself victimized shortly after the same match. Shelley seemed poised to be the front-runner, as he and Orton had been tag team partners for the better part of the summer but Bourne came out swinging, wanting to step into the ring with another main-tier superstar. Lots of fast-paced action filled this match, and left the crowd speechless, as both men put their bodies on the line just for the chance to step into the ring with “The Viper”. Bourne had been wearing Shelley down all match long, and seemed to have had the match in-hand on multiple occasions; however, he wound up complaining about slow counts, before ultimately turning his attention to the referee, and throwing him outside the ring out of sheer frustration! The referee, once gaining his composure, called for the bell, and awarded the match to Shelley! The two men began to brawl in the center of the ring until HWL officials rushed down to the ring and separated them. Alex Shelley defeated Evan Bourne by disqualification in 0:15:50. Rating: ** ½Backstage, Alisha Hicks asks Velvet Sky about her title match against Natalya. Velvet says that she has been on the losing side of two Women's Title matches in the past year. She says that she was the last one eliminated from the Battle Royal “way back in April”, and that she lost to Natalya for the vacant title just two weeks later. Velvet says that she has what it takes to win the Women's Title; and, with all the “crap” being said by Natalya over the last few weeks, she has more motivation then ever to walk away as Champion. Velvet says that tonight is her big opportunity, and that the third time is going to be the charm. Abyss is seen, standing alone in a darkened hallway, underneath the American Airlines Arena. He says that he is looking forward to facing Tommy Dreamer again tonight, because he agrees there is unfinished business between the two of them. Abyss says that he was keeping quiet, watching Tommy Dreamer beg and plead to get back into the ring with him, because Abyss knew that Dreamer wouldn't stand for leaving their match end in a double count-out. Abyss says that he doesn't care what kind of match Peter Bradshaw has chosen for tonight, because there's very little that he hasn't felt throughout the years. Abyss says that, tonight, Tommy Dreamer will regret his “need” to face him again. (2) Velvet Sky vs. © Natalya (Women's Title Match) Week after week, Velvet Sky and Natalya had been trying to get the better of each other, leading up to this very match. Velvet appeared to have found her groove in the ring, and seemed to have found a new positive energy after re-forming her friendship with Angelina Love. On the other hand, the longest-reigning Women's Champion in HWL history, found herself stuck with the issue of figuring out who she wanted to deal with more over the last couple weeks. Velvet was the one gunning for the title; but the champion felt that Sarita had crossed a line, claiming that if it weren't for her, Natalya would not have been able to get the upper hand on Sky two weeks ago. Tonight though, that quesiton was answered by Sarita, who made her way to the ringside area just as the match got under way. She grabbed a chair and swung it at the back of Natalya's head, sending the champion straight into a Beauty Mark by Velvet. The referee counted to three, and the HWL crowned a NEW Women's Champion! Velvet Sky pinned Natalya with the Beauty Mark in 0:00:57. Rating: ** (Velvet Sky won the HWL Women's Title.) [Sarita interfered against Natayla.]A preview for the up-coming pay-per-view, Best of the Best, is shown. The event will take place, live, from Richmond, Virginia on February 27, 2011. Backstage, Ted Hanson asks Tommy Dreamer about finally getting the rematch, with Abyss, that he had been wanting. Dreamer says that he had heard what Abyss said, earlier in the evening, and that “The Monster” was right: he can't live with himself, knowing that he and Abyss's match ended in a double count-out. Dreamer says that he has never been one to let a match end like that without wanting to find out who is better. Dreamer says that, tonight, he's going to show the fans what made him famous during the heyday of ECW; and, that tonight, Abyss will find out who wants it more. In the locker room, David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd are shown stretching, when Natalya storms into the locker room, kicks their chairs to the ground and pacing back and forth. Natalya says that she didn't expect anything else, but to see Smith and Kidd lose on Monday night, because they need her out there to keep the titles around their waists. Smith tells Natalya, that if she feels that way, she should make sure she's at ringside for tonight's title match. Natalya says that it was their decision not to have her at ringside; and even if they begged, she wouldn't be there, because she had “more important” things to worry about. Natalya stormed back out of the locker room... (3) Tommy Dreamer vs. Abyss (Chairshot Survival Death Match) Tommy Dreamer got his wish for tonight, but it appeared to be more then he had bargained for. A few weeks ago, these two squared off against each other on Monday Night Anarchy, only to have their match end in a draw. Dreamer pleaded with Peter Bradshaw to sign their rematch for tonight, with a stipulation that fitted their styles. The Chairshot Survival stipulation was added, and “The Monster” Abyss took full advantage of it, connecting with a vicious shot to Dreamer's head with a baseball bat, just seconds into the match! Dreamer began to bleed profusely – covering the mat as the match went on – but was able to garner enough energy to connect with multiple Dreamer DDT's. However, Abyss kicked out after every attempt, and began to wear down Dreamer as he continued to lose blood. Abyss finally connected with the Black Hole Slam for the 1-2-3. After the match, HWL officials and medical personel tended to Dreamer as Abyss made his way up the ramp. Abyss pinned Tommy Dreamer with the Black Hole Slam in 0:13:07. Rating: *** ¼Backstage, AJ Styles, Mr. Anderson, and Ric Flair are seen with Alisha Hicks. Flair says that they had all seen what happened on Monday night, when The Hart Dynasty lost on Anarchy. He says that it can only be blamed on the fact that Natalya was not out there to save them from defeat; it certainly wasn't because Skip Sheffield and Rob Terry were the better team. Flair says that they all felt that Styles's and Anderson's stock rose after Monday, knowing that Natalya was not going to be at ringside again tonight. Flair says that, with no distractions at ringside, the titles are there for the taking. A preview for the up-coming pay-per-view, Best of the Best, is shown. The event will take place, live, from Richmond, Virginia on February 27, 2011. Randy Orton is seen backstage, in his ring gear, and is asked by Ted Hanson how he feels about stepping into the ring against his former tag team partner, Alex Shelley. Orton says that he's made his thoughts known about the possibility of facing Shelley tonight. He says that Shelley must have something to prove, or else he wouldn't have done whatever he needed to to get into the ring again. Orton says that he has proven, time and time again, that he's not a tag team wrestler; he doesn't want the burden of carrying someone on his shoulders. He says that he's not out to share the spotlight with anyone; that he wants to be the top guy in the HWL. Orton says that Shelley doesn't share that same desire, and that's why he's so comfortable being a Tag Team Champion, where as Orton will not be satisfied until he's Heavyweight Champion. (4) AJ Styles/Mr. Anderson (w/Chelsea & Ric Flair) vs. © The Hart Dynasty (HWL Tag Team Title Match) For the second match in a week, the tag team champions came down to the ring without Natalya, who they had told to stay backstage on Monday night. After coming up short, in a shocking fashion, to Skip Sheffield and Rob Terry, they were more determined to walk out of Miami with the belts over their shoulders. But their opponents tonight, who have had Ric Flair in their ear for some time now, looked poised to come away with the belts themselves. There was plenty of great action in the match, and the ever-present risk of Flair, and Chelsea, standing at ringside. However, in a shocking scene half-way through the match, KAZ and YOSHI TATSU made their way to the ring, and started making things a little more difficult for the challengers. The Hart Dynasty took advantage of the duo's presence, trying to pick up the victory on multiple occasions, only to have Chelsea – who had found her way to the other side of the ring – was able to repeatedly place Styles' and Anderson's foot on the bottom rope; keeping their chances alive. However, that chance quickly faded as Tatsu jumped up on the apron, distracting the referee, as Kaz slid a steel chair into the ring. David Hart Smith connected with a shot onto AJ's head, before hitting a Saito Suplex in the center of the ring. Chelsea and Flair could only watch, hopelessly, as the referee counted to three, and awarded the victory to the Tag Team Champions. After the match, Flair was fuming as Kaz and Tatsu retreated to the backstage area. Chelsea was seen on the ground, at ringside, holding her head in shame at the result of the match. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels said that the both thought things weren't over between those two teams. The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) defeated AJ Styles & Mr. Anderson when D.H. Smith pinned Styles after a Northern Lights suplex in 0:22:46. Rating: **** ½ (The Hart Dynasty retained the HWL Tag Team Titles.) [Yoshi Tatsu interfered against AJ Styles.] [Yoshi Tatsu inrefered against Mr. Anderson.] [Chelsea & Ric Flair interfered against Tyson Kidd.] [Chelseas interfered against David Hart Smith.]Alex Shelley is seen backstage, when he is confronted by Ted Hanson, who asks for a response to Randy Orton's comments. Shelley says that he did have something to prove to Randy Orton tonight, and that is that Shelley isn't going to stand around and have someone he called a “friend” walk all over him. Shelley says that Orton may have goals of becoming Heavyweight Champion – and has been a Heavyweight Champion multiple times – but, that every one who enters the business dreams of becoming Heavyweight Champion. Shelley says that he's no different from everyone else, but that his desire tonight, is to beat Randy Orton, and hopefully shut “The Viper” up, once and for all. Also backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with the X-Division Champion, D'Angelo Dinero, and asks for this thoughts on facing Montel Vontavious Porter tonight. Dinero says that he's had numerous people come after him, all wanting to take the X-Division Title away from him, but that no one was able to do it. He says that, way back in August, he defeated MVP for the belt, and hasn't let go of it since then. Dinero knows that MVP is determined to take back the belt, but says that he will fail again, tonight, like he has in all his other attempts. A preview for the up-coming pay-per-view, Best of the Best, is shown. The event will take place, live, from Richmond, Virginia on February 27, 2011. (5) Alex Shelley vs. Randy Orton These two former tag team partners squared off tonight, after Alex Shelley defeated Evan Bourne for the right to face “The Viper”. Shelley stated that he wanted to end Orton's reign of terror over the X-Division wrestlers, and that he wouldn't accept anything less then victory tonight. He came out quickly, after the bell rang, and reversed an Orton suplex attempt into a small package, but only got a two-count. Back and forth action continued for a short time, until Orton locked in a choke hold in the corner, wearing down Shelley. Orton then connected with a belly-to-back suplex, before running into the ropes and hitting a flying forearm. Orton went for the quick cover, and shockingly, Shelley was unable to kick out! Orton was awarded the match as the crowd booed wildly. After the match, Orton fell to the canvas, stalking Shelley, as he slowly got to his feet. Then, out of nowhere, Orton connected with the RKO in the center of the ring! Orton rolled out of the ring, and made his way backstage, as the referee tended to Shelley. Randy Orton pinned Alex Shelley after a flying forearm in 0:01:04. Rating: **Backstage, Alisha Hicks asks Montel Vontavious Porter for his thoughts about tonight's X-Division Title Match. Porter says that he has been gotten sick and tired of watching other, more talented, athletes jump into the ring with D'Angelo Dinero, and not be able to take the X-Division Title away from him. Porter says that it's a good thing, because he has the chance to regain the title from the man who took it from him. Porter says that he knows Dinero inside and out, and that will help him leave Miami as the new X-Division Champion. Also backstage, Matt Morgan tells Ted Hanson that he fully understands the stakes in tonight's main event against Kurt Angle. Morgan says that he's not worried about this being the last match the two can have, because he knows that he's going to take care of Angle, and walk away with the Heavyweight Title. Morgan says that he has never known Angle to be a brawler; that Angle wants to make his opponents submit. Morgan says that, with the title on the line, and in the final match between them, there is nothing Morgan won't do to become a two-time Heavyweight Champion. (6) Montel Vonatvious Porter vs. © D'Angelo Dinero (X-Division Title Match) D'Angelo Dinero has proved himself to be a very consistent champion since winning the title over the summer, and tonight, he stepped into the ring with the man he defeated to begin his second reign. Montel Vontavious Porter, for weeks, had claimed to be the one who would take the title away from “The Pope”, and tonight he had his chance, but came up just short. The match went all over the ringside area, and saw MVP knock himself unconscious after a falling hard onto the concrete outside the ring. This allowed “The Pope” to show his “thug” side, by introducing a baseball bat, and assaulting MVP with it. Eventually, Dinero sent MVP into the ring, connected with an STO, and picked up the victory. D'Angelo Dinero pinned Montel Vontavious Porter after an STO in 0:11:01. Rating: *** ½ (D'Angelo Dinero retained the HWL X-Division Title.)Backstage, Kurt Angle tells Ted Hanson that he knows Matt Morgan is going to stop at nothing to get the Heavyweight Title, and that he doesn't blame him. Angle says that he would do the same thing if he were in Morgan's shoes, but that Angle has what it takes to actually keep the title. Angle acknowledges that he wasn't much of a brawler, but says that, throughout his career, he's proven that he can surprise people when they least expect it. A video package is shown, highlighting the matches during the pay-per-view. (7) Matt Morgan vs. © Kurt Angle (Heavyweight Title Match) Angle came out quick, hitting a surprise DDT just after the bell rang, and tried to follow it up with a flying dropkick, but Morgan pushed him away. The reversals continued as Morgan attempted to run Angle into the turnbuckle, but the Champion blocked it and went for a hiptoss, only to have it blocked with an elbow-smash. Morgan hit a powerslam and went for the cover, only getting a two count. A chokeslam by “The Blueprint”, before another cover attempt, again only getting a two-count. CODY RHODES made his way down to the ring as Morgan connected with another powerslam, and again, Angle kicked out at two. Morgan saw Rhodes at ringside; and the two began to share words. Angle stunned Morgan with anKurt elbow, before whipping him into the ropes and taking him down with an enzuigiri. Angle connected with a DDT, but instead of going for the pin, decided to inflict more damage. Angle runs into the ropes, attempting a flying forearm, but Angle pushes him away and tries to catch his breath. Angle reversed a choke attempt, but Morgan re-reversed it with a Gorilla Press. However, Angle was able to slide down Morgan's back and connect with a forearm. Angle grabbed Morgan and tossed him through the ropes, to the outside. Angle is handed a keyboard from someone in the crowd, and smacks Morgan in the back with it! He hits a flying forearm, and goes for a cover, but only gets a two-count. Angle swings the keyboard again, breaking it over Morgan's head, before throwing Morgan over the guardrail and into the crowd. Angle starts to choke Morgan with his boot, and struggles to get out of the hold, before Angle releases it after 40 seconds. Angle plays to the crowd as Morgan gets to his feet, and surprised Angle with a kneelift. Morgan throws Angle back over the guardrail, before jumping onto the railing and attempting a dropkick, which Angle sidesteps. Angle throws Morgan into the announce table, knocking Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels out of their seat! Angle picks up the remains of the keyboard and smashes it into Morgan's head, causing a small trickle of blood to run down his forehead. Angle attempts to hit Morgan again, with the keyboard, but Morgan grabs it; Morgan attempts to use the weapon as well, but Angle grabs it back; Angle connects with a shot to the head as the crowd goes crazy! Angle continued to hammer away at Morgan, with the keyboard, before throwing him back over the guardrail and into the first row of chairs. The crowd scatters away as they begin to brawl in the seats. Morgan catches Angle in a choke lift, dropping Angle to the concrete after 21 seconds. Morgan whips Angle into the guardrail repeatedly, working on Angle's back, hoping to take away the Olympic Slam. Cody Rhodes hands Angle a weapon from underneath the ring, and Angle connects, stunning Morgan. Angle chokes Morgan with the weapon, until Morgan connects with a low-blow, and sends Angle to the concrete with a belly-to-back suplex! Morgan goes for the cover, but only gets a two-count. Morgan whips Angle back into the guardrail, before attempting another Gorilla Press. Again, Angle slides out of the move, and whips Morgan into the guardrail. Angle repeatedly pushes Morgan's back into the railing, before hitting a back elbow into Morgan's jaw. Angle continues the assault on Morgan's back, before taking his leg out with a dropkick to the knee. Angle goes for the cover, and gets only a two-count. Angle, again, whips Morgan into the guardrail, as Rhodes hands him a baseball bat. Angle sizes Morgan up, before swinging the back into “The Blueprint's” gut, dropping him to his knees. Angle elbowdrops Morgan's back, before picking him back up, and whipping him – again – into the guardrail. Angle keeps up the assault, using the railing and the baseball bat to wear down Morgan. Angle sends Morgan back over the guardrail, to ringside, and connects with a kick to the midsection, followed by a blatant low-blow. Josh Daniels says that Angle is showing a sadistic side tonight, as he lifts the bat above his head and comes down with it over Morgan's back. Angle continues to use the bat to his advantage, before choking Morgan with it on the ramp. Angle wastes no time as Morgan gets back to his feet, dropping him with a European uppercut. Angle reverts back to using the bat until Morgan attempts a roundhouse right, but Angle blocks it. The fight continues, back over the guardrail, as the two men fight their way into the upper section of the lower bowl. Angle swings the bat, but Morgan ducks under, and grabs Angle by the throat. Using all the strength left in him, Morgan blocks off Angle's airway as the referee checks his arm. It falls once... and twice... but Angle is able to keep his arm up the third time, before kicking Morgan in the gut to release the hold. Morgan falls to his knees, blood dripping from his forehead, as Angle walks around trying to catch his breath. Angle is handed another weapon, by someone in the crowd, and hits the unexpecting Morgan with it. Angle uses the weapon, repeatedly, before hitting a jawbreaker! Angle holds his head, walking around the small area near the seats, and is handed a pair of brass knuckles. Angle hits Morgan with them, before sending him flying into a row of chairs! They fight their way back down to the guardrail, where Morgan shocks Angle with a shot to the head with the baseball bat, left behind from earlier. Morgan covers Angle, but still, only gets a two-count. Morgan steps over the guardrail, and enters the ring, as Angle slowly follows him. Morgan connects with the Carbon Footprint, and goes for the cover. Angle, somehow, is able to kick out at two! Morgan whips Angle into the ropes, and Angle connects with a clothesline, and quickly locks in the Ankle Lock! Morgan, using his surroundings, quickly grabs the ropes, forcing Angle to break the hold. Back and forth action, as Morgan continues to bleed more and more; Angle whips him into the ropes, but Cody Rhodes pulls down the top rope, sending Morgan crashing onto the concrete at ringside. Angle rolls out of the ring, and whips Morgan into the ring post! Back in the ring, Angle attempts a fireman's carry, but Morgan blocks it; Morgan attempts a powerbomb, but is too worn down to lift up Angle. Angle runs into the ropes and hits a flying forearm, and goes for the cover. The referee counts to three, and the bell rings, as Angle is announced the winner! After the match, Angle and Cody Rhodes share a glance as Rhodes retreats up the ramp, clapping his hands at Angle's victory. Kurt Angle pinned Matt Morgan after a flying forearm in 0:19:45. Rating: **** ¼ (Kurt Angle retained the HWL Heavyweight Title.) [Cody Rhodes interfered against Matt Morgan.]Card rating: *** ½

Fun pay-per-view. A little more outside interference than I would have liked, but not necessarily a bad thing. Tag title match was a really good match. I really like the Hart Dynasty as a team, so glad to see them hold onto the titles. Velvet Sky as new champion is interesting. Would have never called that. Kurt Angle retains, which is also good. Feels like your Heavyweight Title has bounced around a little, so it needs some stability. Would have liked a little less Cody Rhodes involved in the match (though I love me some Cody Rhodes), but not a bad way to end the show. My only real beef was with the Abyss/Dreamer match. It was a Chairshot Survival Match, and there wasn't a chair shot to be seen! Good show overall.

Outside interference seems to be my "go-to" for transition points in feuds. I need to get past that point soon, or it's gonna get old haha. The Hart Dynast has have a lengthy run as champions. They might hold onto them a little longer unless I can think of something... Velvet was a fortunate victim... The Heavyweight Title has only gone from Desmond Wolfe to Kurt Angle. Cody played a much bigger part then I thought he would have, too. And, I noticed that too, about the gimmick match... that's on me. Glad you enjoyed it though.

Monday Night Anarchy January 31, 2011 Veterans Memorial Coliseum – Jacksonville, Florida Attendance: 9,100 (65%) A video package is shown from Brutality, ending with Kurt Angle standing victorious over Matt Morgan. “Headstrong” plays as fireworks shoot from the stage area. Cameras pan around the arena as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone from Jacksonville, 24 hours removed from Brutality. It is announced that, tonight, because of the events that took place last night, Alex Shelley and Evan Bourne will face off, again, in a rematch. Also tonight, Yoshi Tatsu will face AJ Styles; and Peter Bradshaw has announced that if anyone interferes in the match, they will be suspended for 30 days(!) Kurt Angle comes out to the ring, carrying the Heavyweight Title over his shoulder, as the crowd begins to chant his name. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels comment on the hellacious match Angle and Matt Morgan too part in last night, and on the mean streak Angle showed throughout. Inside the ring, Angle soaks in the cheers as he pats the title over his shoulder. Angle says that last was everything he could have hoped for, and that the match ended the only way it should have: with Angle retaining the Heavyweight Title. Angle praises Matt Morgan, giving him credit for putting his body on the line, all for the chance to walk away with the Heavyweight Title. But, Angle says that he has, once again, proved that Matt Morgan doesn't have what it takes to be the face of the Horizon Wrestling League. Angle then turns his attention away from “The Blueprint”, saying that its time to move on, and focus on defending his title against other, worthy opponents. Angle says that he has always been known as a fighting Champion, and that whoever wants to step into the ring with him should get ready for the fight of their life. Suddenly, the arena goes dark, and the camera flashes show figures fighting inside the ring. When the lights come back on, ABYSS is seen, standing over Angle, in the center of the ring. The crowd roars in disapproval while Abyss leaves the ring, and the camera focuses on Angle's body. Commercial Break(1) Alex Shelley vs. Evan Bourne Twenty-four hours after these two faced off, for the right to face Randy Orton at Brutality, Alex Shelley and Evan Bourne once again stepped into the ring. Last night's match ended as Evan Bourne got himself disqualified, after becoming unhappy with the calls he was getting from the referee, giving Shelley the right to face his former tag team partner. But tonight, there wasn't going to be a disqualification handed down, as both men came out showing that they were either going to make the other tap out or pin their shoulders to the canvas. Shelley picked up the victory after hitting the Sliced Bread #2 for the 1-2-3. Alex Shelley pinned Evan Bourne with the Sliced Bread #2 in 0:10:57. Rating: ** 1/4Commercial BreakBackstage, Natalya storms through the hallways, screaming for Sarita to show herself. The former Women's Champion spots Alisha Hicks, and says that, if Peter Bradshaw is listening, she wants a match with Sarita now(!) Natalya says that Sarita is going to be taught a lesson for interfering in her match last night, and for costing her the Women's Title. Natalya then storms off again... (2) Vixen Battle Royal (#1 Contender Match) All five Vixens were introduced to the crowd, receiving various responses from the crowd. Newcomer, Michelle McCool starts off strong, eliminating Angelina Love, before turning her attention to Sarita. McCool connects with a leg lariat, stunning Sarita, before throwing her over the top rope. Daffney and McCool battle across the ring. Daffney kicks McCool to the canvas, and is attacked from behind, by Natalya. After a short brawl, Natalya tries to throws Daffney over the top rope, but doesn't succeed. Natalya then takes Daffney down with a hiptoss, and McCool starts to work over Daffney. McCool gets in a lot of good offense, but a low-blow by Daffney brings her momentum to a halt. Daffney grabs Natalya, and tries to throw her over the top rope, but to no avail. Back and forth action between them, before Natalya counters an armbar with a facerack, backing Daffney into the corner. McCool whips Natalya into the ropes, and they connect with a double clothesline. Daffney takes advantage, wearing down both Vixens, individually, before McCool hits a Northern Lights suplex. Daffney reverses an irish whip, and takes McCool down with a kick to the midsection, but is blindsided by Natalya, once again. More back and forth brawling, before Daffney throws Natalya over the top rope, leaving herself and McCool as the only two remaining. Both Vixens wore each other down: Daffney connected with a beautiful Frankensteiner off the top rope, but wasn't able to muster the strength to throw McCool over the ropes. The end of the match saw McCool lock in a camel clutch, that nearly caused Daffney to pass out. McCool let go of the hold, and easily dumped Daffney outside the ring, becoming the new challenger for Velvet Sky and the Women's Title. Michelle McCool won a 5-Vixen Battle Royal: x M. McCool threw out Love in 0:00:06. x M. McCool threw out Sarita after a leg lariat in 0:00:19. x Daffney threw out Natalya after a headsmash into the turnbuckle in 0:06:21. x M. McCool threw out Daffney after a camel clutch in 0:09:43. Rating: ** 3/4Commercial BreakPeter Bradshaw makes his way to the ring, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. Bradshaw congratulates everyone who won their matches at Brutality, last night, and said that he couldn't have asked for a better way to start off 2011. He says that, even though last night was a success, it's time to look forward. Bradshaw says that he is already looking to the date of March 27, 2011, because that will be the biggest night in the history of the HWL – outside of it's reemergence last April. Bradshaw announces that, on that night, the HWL will be in Detroit, Michigan for the first-ever WRESTLEOCOLPYSE pay-per-view. He says that he's hoping that night will become one of the bigggest events of the year for the HWL, but that there is still a pay-per-view taking place before then. Bradshaw announces that, on February 27th, the HWL will be holding it's first-ever “Best of the Best” event, to determine the number one contender – and the challenger – for the Heavyweight Title at WRESTLEOCOLPLYSE. He says the winner will be decided by a 15-man Battle Royal. Bradshaw says that, in the weeks leading up to the pay-per-view, there will be smaller battle royals to determine the order of entry. He says that, starting next week, there will be three, five-man battle royals. Those that win their respective battle royals, will then take part in a Triple Threat Match to determine who will enter at number 15 on February 27th. Bradshaw thanks the crowd for their time, and says that he can not wait until next week, before leaving the ring. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels speculate as to whether or not the fans will find the set-up confusing; but insist that it will make things very interesting over the next few weeks. Commercial Break(3) The Usos (w/Tamina) vs. Skip Sheffield/Rob Terry Sheffield and Terry had this match one, on multiple occasions, only to have Tamina put Jimmy Uso's foot on the ropes to break up the pinfall. The match went past the 20-minute time-limit, but finally saw Sheffield force Jimmy Uso to pass out due to an airplane spin. After the match, Sheffield and Terry got on the microphone and said that they have been winning matches continually over the past few weeks, and that they want to be recognized for it. Sheffield says that they have already beaten The Hart Dynasty, in a non-title match, which should make them the new number one contenders for the Tag Team Titles. Sheffield says that, if the Dynasty is ready for another fight, they will put the belts on the line at Best of the Best... Skip Sheffield & Rob Terry defeated The Usos (Jiimmy & Jey) when Sheffield defeated Jiimmy when Jimmy passed out in an airplane spin in 0:23:23. Rating: **** [Tamina interfered against Skip Sheffield.]Commercial BreakBackstage, “The Viper” Randy Orton, tells Alisha Hicks that he did what he needed to do, last night at Brutality; and that now, he can look forward to putting all of his focus on winning the battle royal on February 27th, and becoming the number one contender for the Heavyweight Title. Orton says that he doesn't care who the champion is, because after Best of the Best, they will no longer have the title. (4) Yoshi Tatsu vs. AJ Styles (w/Chelsea & Ric Flair) AJ came out very strong tonight, just 24 hours after coming up short in his bid to win the Tag Team Titles with Mr. Anderson. This match was supposed to take place last week, but due to an all-out brawl between Styles, Anderson, Tatsu and Kaz, Peter Bradshaw signed a re-match for tonight. Styles dominated for most of the match, but wasn't able to put Yoshi away. Again, the match went beyond the time-limit, but it was the extra time that Yoshi needed to pull out the victory, as he pinned Styles after a German suplex. After the match, in a shocking turn of events, Yoshi turned on the referee and threw him outside the ring. Yoshi turned his attention back to Styles, but Ric Flair and Chelsea pulled him out before any more damage could be done. Yoshi stayed in the ring, fuming, as Anarchy went to commercials. Yoshi Tatsu pinned AJ Styles after a German suplex in 0:24:03. Rating: **** 1/4Commercial Break(5) Cody Rhodes vs. Abyss Abyss made his intentions clear, earlier tonight, by attacking Kurt Angle. Cody Rhodes was looking to continue making his point, that he was ready for the main event in the HWL. Rhodes's point was dimmed a little, when Matt Morgan came down to ringside, and blindsided Rhodes with a chairshot to the back. After the match, Morgan entered the ring to continue his assault on Rhodes, as “The Monster” left the ring. The crowd went crazy as Kurt Angle appeared behind Abyss. Angle tried to life Abyss up for an Angle Slam, but “The Monster” slid out of the move and fell to the steel stage, shocked by Angle's appearance. Angle mouth the words “this close” to Abyss as HWL officials rushed down to the ring, to break up Morgan's attack on Rhodes. Cody Rhodes defeated Abyss by disqualification in 0:02:39. Monday Night Anarchy February 7, 2011 North Charleston Coliseum – North Charleston, South Carolina Attendance: 5,373 (51%) The closing moments from last week's episode are shown, as Abyss is able to escape an Angle Slam from the Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle. The clip ends as Angle mouths the words “this close”, and the scene goes black. “Headstrong” begins to play through the arena, fireworks shoot off from the stage, and the camera pans the crowd, who is cheering and waving signs in the air. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to the Coliseum, and announce that tonight, Kyle O'Rielly will take on “The Pope” D'Angelo Dinero in a non-title match. Also, tonight, the first of three five-man battle royals will take place, to determine the entry order for the Best of the Best battle royal on February 27th. “The Monster” Abyss makes his way to the ring, the crowd booing him all the way. He says he knows the fans are looking at him, and wondering what's wrong with him. He says he knows that he doesn't have the appearance of someone that should challenging for the Heavyweight Title, but that the crowd will never give him the credit he deserves, because they never have throughout his career. He says that he has been a former Heavyweight Champion; and that to be a champion, you must possess the ability to out-smart your opponent. Abyss says that last week, he began the process of working his way into Kurt Angle's mind. He says that Angle couldn't stand knowing that Abyss got the better of him, to start the show, and he wanted to get his revenge... only to have Abyss escape from the Angle Slam. Abyss says that he out-smarted Angle twice, in the same night. Abyss says that Angle did get “that close” last week, but that Abyss is more concerned with giving Angle the fight of his life at Best of the Best... Before Abyss could continue, “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan made his way to the ring, also to a roar of boos from the crowd. Morgan says that he would make things short, before demanding that he face Cody Rhodes right now. Morgan blames Rhodes for costing him the Heavyweight Title at Brutality, and says that he is going to pay... Peter Bradshaw makes his out to the stage, and says that Abyss will have the chance to give Angle the “fight of his life”, just as Angle will have the same chance, at Best of the Best. Bradshaw also says that he agrees with Matt Morgan, and that Cody Rhodes did play a significant part in him not being able to win the Heavyweight Title. Bradshaw says that he's signing the match out of fairness... not because Morgan is demanding the match. But, Bradshaw says, he's also into giving the fans what they want to say, announcing that tonight, Abyss and Matt Morgan will be teaming up to face Cody Rhodes and Kurt Angle in tonight main event. The crowd went crazy as Morgan and Abyss stare at each other. Bradshaw leaves the stage as “Anarchy” goes to commercials... Commercial Break(1) Eddie Edwards vs. Yoshi Tatsu Very quick match, with Tatsu picking up the victory after hitting a Northen Lights suplex in under two minutes! After the match, Tatsu continued to assault Edwards, as the referee tried to intefere. Repeating his actions from last week, Tatsu turned his attention to the referee, who quickly fled the ring in fear. Edwards slowly rolled out of the ring as Tatsu started slapping his face, and screaming at the top of his lungs. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels speculate as to what is making Tatsu act this way... Yoshi Tatsu pinned Eddie Edwards after a Northern Lights suplex in 0:01:32. Rating: **Commercial BreakComing back from the break, Alisha Hicks is seen with Sarita, who admits to laughing out loud at Natalya's challenge to her last week. Sarita says that Peter Bradshaw isn't the one that Natalya needs to come ask for a match. She stops herself, and says that Natalya doesn't even need to ask for a match, because Sarita wants to face Natalya... but, that Natalya will have to wait to have her match, at Best of the Best. Sarita apologizes to Natalya before walking away... (2) Daffney vs. Michelle McCool The newly crowned Women's Champion, Velvet Sky, came down to the ring for commentary before the match, and said that it was ironic that the women she beat, just a few weeks ago, is now the one challenging for the title at Best of the Best. McCool picked up the victory after Daffney pulled the referee in front of a clothesline attempt, getting herself disqualified. After the match, McCool grabbed Daffney, whipping her into the ropes, and connected with a big boot. McCool assaulted Daffney before sliding out of the ring, and telling Velvet, what she saw, is what she can expect to happen to her at Best of the Best. McCool left ringside, with Velvet fuming, as “Anarchy” went to commercials. Michelle McCool defeated Daffney by disqualification in 0:11:26. Rating: 1/2*Commercial BreakThe Hart Dynasty make their way out to the ring, as Anarchy returns from the break. Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith carry the Tag Team Titles over their shoulders, and Natalya walks behind them, clapping her hands, as they enter the ring. D.H. Smith says that he and Kidd heard the challenge issued by Skip Sheffield and Rob Terry last week. He says that The Hart Dynasty is looking for a fight, but he isn't sure if they're going to get it from them. Smith says that, as a member of the British Invasion, Rob Terry always came up short when he and Brutus Magnus challenged for the titles. He says that Skip Sheffield is just hoping to hold on to, what could be, his final chance to make a name for himself in the business. Smith says that Sheffield is one major injury away from watching his career go down the drain. Smith does concede that Sheffield and Terry beat them a few weeks ago, but says that he and Kidd always find a way to get the job done, when the belts are on the line... and that, at Best of the Best, that will not change. Natalya then grabs the microphone and says that Sarita may think that she has the upper hand, waiting to face her at the pay-per-view, but that all she's doing is delaying the inevitable. The three of them leave the ring as “Anarchy” goes to commercials... Commercial Break(3) 5-Man Battle Royal Kaz, Ted DiBiase, Mr. Anderson, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton were all introduced before the first-of-three battle royals to determine entry into the Best of the Best match on February 27th. Orton was a dominant force during the match, making the last three eliminations of the match; but he found himself having some trouble with Mr. Anderson at the end. Orton and Anderson battled in the ring for nearly 15 more minutes, jockeying for position to win the match. Anderson appeared to have won early on, when Orton hit the concrete, but it was seen that “The Viper” did not go over the top rope. The decision to start the match over again apparently took the wind out of Anderson's sails, as he was the victim of a low blow, and easily tossed over the top rope for the final elimination. After the match, Orton celebrated in the ring, as the crowd looked on in shock... Randy Orton won a 5-man Battle Royal: x Styles threw out Kaz after a spin kick in 0:02:24. x R. Orton threw out Styles in 0:05:30. x R Orton threw out DiBiase in 0:12:59. x R. Orton threw out Anderson after a low blow in 0:26:04. Rating: *** 1/2Commercial BreakBackstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with Alex Shelley, who is slated to be in next week's five-man battle royal. Shelley says that he got what he wanted at Brutality: the chance to get his anger out against Randy Orton. He says that he came up a little bit short in that match, but that he can't let what happened stop him from obtaining a singles title in the near future. He says the quickest way to do that, is to win the battle royal at Best of the Best, and go on to face the Heavyweight Champion in March. Shelley says that all he hopes to do is have a good showing next week, and see where he winds up.. (4) Kyle O'Reilly vs. © D'Angelo Dinero (Non-Title Match) Adam Cole made his way to the ring during the match, and on multiple occasions, interfered against the X-Division Champion. Cole's initial interference only hindered Dinero, but “The Pope” was able to fight his way back into the match. However, Dinero won the match, as Cole pulled the referee out of the ring during the three-count after Dinero hit the DDE on O'Reilly. The referee called for the bell as, inside the ring, Dinero began to scream at Cole. From behind, O'Reilly attacked “The Pope”, and Cole slid back into the ring, joining in on the assault. HWL officials rushed down to the ring, breaking up the attack, and escorting Cole and O'Reilly out of the ring. The referee tended to Dinero as Cole and O'Reilly celebrated their actions on the stage, to a roar of boos from the crowd. D'Angelo Dinero defeated Kyle O'Reilly by disqualification in 0:18:45. Rating: *** ½ [Adam Cole interfered against D'Angelo Dinero.]Commercial Break(5) Matt Morgan/Abyss vs. Cody Rhodes/Kurt Angle With the on-going feud between these four men, the way this match ended was quite shocking. With Matt Morgan and Cody Rhodes brawling inside the ring, Abyss and Angle – the two legal men – made their way outside, where Abyss connected with a Black Hole Slam on the concrete, knocking Angle unconscious! Abyss rolled back into the ring and blindsided Rhodes as the referee counted Angle out. After the match, inside the ring, Abyss hit Rhodes with the Black Hole Slam, before Morgan connected with the Hellevator! Both men stood victorious, in the ring, as HWL officials rushed down to tend to both Rhodes and Angle. Matt Morgan & Abyss defeated Cody Rhodes & Kurt Angle when Abyss defeated K. Monday Night Anarchy February 14, 2011 Time Warner Cable Arena – Charlotte, North Carolina Attendance: 12, 524 (62%) Highlights from last week's episode are shown, ending with the assault on Cody Rhodes by Abyss and Matt Morgan. “Headstrong” plays through the arena, and fireworks shoot from the stage, as the camera pans around the crowd, where people cheer and wave their signs in the air. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Charlotte, and announce that tonight, the second-of-three battle royals will take place tonight. Cody Rhodes will take on D'Angelo Dinero, in a non-title match; and “The Viper” Randy Orton will step into the ring with “The Monster” Abyss. For the second week in a row, Abyss makes his way to the ring, smiling at the boos he's receiving from the crowd. In the ring, he says that last week he said that he knew the fans didn't think he was smart enough to get the better of Kurt Angle. Abyss says that, for the second week in a row, that's exactly what he did. He says that last week's match meant nothing to him; he didn't care if he and Matt Morgan won at all... he just wanted to leave Angle in a crumpled heap for the crowd to stare at. Abyss says that nothing made him happier, last week, then looking down at Angle's lifeless body as the referee counted him out. He says, that at Best of the Best, he has every intention of making sure he walks away with the victory, but not by countout. Abyss announces that Angle is not in the building, but that he wants a message to be relayed to him: Angle got “this close” to hitting the Angle Slam two weeks ago; but, last week, Abyss proved that he could win the Heavyweight Title “that fast”... and, that's what his plan is for February 27th. He leaves the ring as the crowd greets him with more boos... Commercial Break(1) Jimmy Uso (w/Tamina) vs. Mr. Anderson (w/Chelsea & Ric Flair) Jey Uso returned to the ring tonight, on his own, after his brother Jimmy left the company. He came out with a kind of aggression that he hadn't shown during his tag team days, as he took the fight to Mr. Anderson. These two have a history, battling amongst the tag team division, and they brought that animosity into this one. After just over 30 minutes, Uso had seemingly had enough of the close calls he was getting, and out of frustration, threw the referee into the ring post. Uso and Anderson continued to brawl until the referee called for the bell, awarding the match to Mr. Anderson. Afterwards, Uso got into the face of the referee and began complaining about the bad calls, when Anderson snuck up and connected with the Mic Check! Anderson left the ring as the crowd gave him a mixed reaction... Mr. Anderson defeated Jey Uso by disqualification in 0:35:25. Rating: ** 1/2Commercial BreakBackstage, The Hart Dynasty – and Natalya – are shown entering the arena, when they are attacked from behind by Skip Sheffield and Rob Terry. “Big Rob” grabs Natalya as Sheffield tells her to inform her family that Best of the Best will not be like any other time they've defended the titles. He says that he and Terry are going to be unlike any other team they have faced, and that Sheffield and Terry will end their reign as Champions. Sheffield walks away, as Terry lets go of Natalya, and follows suit. Natalya tends to Hart and Kidd as the camera goes back to ringside... (2) Daffney vs. © Velvet Sky (Non-Title Match A week after facing off with the number one contender, Daffney found herself in the ring with the new Women's Champion, who she has had a very well-known past with. Tonight, they started where they had left off, but the sides became a little stacked as Michelle McCool came down to the ring. McCool connected with a chair shot to Sky's back, giving Daffney a chance to roll up the champ, but Sky was able to kick out of the move before the three count. The referee admonished McCool to the back, as Sky fought her way back into the match. Sky won the match, after hitting the Beauty Mark, but was attacked by McCool after the bell rang. McCool whipped the champ into the ropes, but Sky ducked the Big Boot attempt, and sent McCool down with a clothesline. McCool rolled out of the ring, slapping the mat in frustration, as the crowd cheered on Velvet. Velvet called McCool backed into the ring as Michelle slowly made her way up the ramp... Velvet Sky defeated Daffney by disqualification in 0:17:14. Rating: ** ½ [Michelle McCool interfered against Velvet Sky.]Commercial BreakAs Anarchy returns from commercials, Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly make their way to the ring. Cole says that he and O'Reilly had been discussing something ever since they both joined the HWL, and their plan come to fruition last week, when they beat down D'Angelo Dinero. Cole says that he and O'Reilly played a huge part during their time in another company, and that they plan on raising the same kind of hell in the HWL. Cole says that he sees the shocked expressions on the faces of people in the crowd, and says that he understands that no one saw what happened last week, coming. Cole says that the quiet ones are the ones that get the biggest reaction when they break out of their shells. He says that he and O'Reilly will set their sights on winning the Tag Team Titles in their precious, due time... but says that his main goal is to walk into Best of the Best leave “The Pope” looking like he did last week; and to walk out of the event as the new X-Division Champion. Cole says that he will be watching Dinero's match tonight intently, because he knows he's gotten into Dinero's head, and he wants to make sure “The Pope” is aware that anything can happen... at any time. He laughs and drops the microphone, as he and O'Reilly leave the ring; Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels wonder what the new team have in store for the rest of the HWL in the future... Commercial Break(3) 5-Man Battle Royal Alex Shelley, Evan Bourne, Kyle O'Reilly, Eddie Edwards, and Adam Cole are introduced to the crowd. Josh Daniels announces that Yoshi Tatsu has been replaced by Adam Cole, and that he and Scott Michaels will have updates later on Yoshi's whereabouts. Alex Shelley and Adam Cole were in charge of the eliminations, each eliminating two opponents. But, in the end, it came down to a battle between Cole, Shelly, and Edwards for the second spot in the Triple Threat Match. Cole shocked the crowd by making the final two eliminations within a minute of each other, to earn himself the spot in the Triple Threat Match, but also a chance to become Number One Contender for the Heavyweight Title at “Best of the Best”. After the match, Cole celebrated in the ring as the crowd began to boo... Adam Cole won a 5-man Battle Royal: x A. Shelley threw out E. Bourne after the Dominator in 0:01:43. x A. Shelley threw out O'Reilly after a Discus lariat in 0:10:59. x A. Cole threw out A. Shelley in 0:22:53. x A. Cole threw out E. Edwards in 0:23:39. Rating: *** ¾ (Yoshi Tatsu no-showed.)Commercial BreakHWL Owner, Peter Bradshaw, is seen sitting behind his desk, in the corporate offices in Nashville, Tennessee. Bradshaw says that he has an important announce concerning next week's edition of “Anarchy”. He says that the final five-man battle royal will take place, to name the final order for the match on February 27th. But he also announces that, next week, the three men who were successful in winning their respective battle royals, will face off for the right to enter the pay-per-view at number 15. Bradshaw wishes everyone a good night, and says that he will be in (city) next week... (4) Cody Rhodes vs. © D'Angelo Dinero (Non-Title Match) Cody Rhodes was certainly the fan favorite here tonight, as the hometown crowd watched him take on the X-Division Champion. Dinero had his own cheering section, but one person who wasn't cheering for “The Pope”, was Adam Cole. Cole, who had just won the battle royal earlier in the evening, came down to the ring, and clobbered Dinero with a steel pipe, allowing Rhodes to hit the Cross Rhodes and pick up the victory. After the match, Rhodes stared at Cole, as he made his way back up the ramp. Rhodes stayed in the ring as medical personnel made their way down, and tended to Dinero. Cody Rhodes pinned D'Angelo Dinero with the Cross Rhodes in 0:13:56. **D'Angelo Dinero suffered a back injury. He will be out approximately 1 card.** Rating: **** [Adam Cole interfered against D'Angelo Dinero.]Commercial Break(5) Randy Orton vs. Abyss For winning the battle royal last week, Randy Orton's reward was to step into the ring with the Number One Contender for the Heavyweight Title. The match quickly became one-sided as Kurt Angle made his first appearance of the night, shocking the crowd, and pulling the top rope down to bring Abyss outside the ring. As “The Viper” distracted the referee, Angle connected with an Angle Slam onto the concrete floor! Angle rolled Abyss back into the ring, and made his way up the ramp, as Orton locked in a sleeper hold, causing “The Monster” to pass out. After the match, Orton celebrated his victory as the crowd roared with disapproval. Randy Orton defeated Abyss when Abyss passed out in double reverse chinlock in 0:06:43. Monday Night Anarchy February 21, 2011 Greensboro Coliseum – Greensboro, North Carolina Attendance: 13,615 (64%) [/color] Highlights of last week's episode are shown, ending with Kurt Angle hitting the Angle Slam on Abyss, before rolling him back into the ring to eventually lose to Randy Orton. “Headstrong” plays through the arena as fireworks shoot from the stage, and the camera pans the crowd, who is cheering. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Greensboro, just six days away from BEST OF THE BEST. It is announced that Peter Bradshaw is in the building, and that, tonight, the final entry order for the #1 Contender's Match, on Sunday night, will be complete. Also, tonight, Cody Rhodes will take on Kyle O'Reilly... Kurt Angle comes out to the ring, carrying the Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. Limping, he enters the ring, and waits for the cheering to subside before grabbing a microphone. Angle says that he's still feeling the effects of the Black Hole Slam two weeks ago, but says that he showed last week, that it will take more then that to stop him from showing up at Best of the Best on Sunday night. Angle says that he has been through his share of pain and broken bones; he says that he won a Gold Medal, in 1996, with a broken neck; and, that for the past two months, he has been putting his body on the line while defending the Heavyweight Title, in cage matches and all-out brawls. Angle says that he has proven, time and time again, that he will never back down from a fight, and wonders if Abyss would be able to say the same thing... The arena lights go out, and when they return, Abyss is standing behind Angle, and a pile of thumbtacks lays in the center of the ring. As Angle turns around, Abyss connects with a kick to the midsection, before choke-slamming Angle into the pile of thumbtacks! Abyss stands over Angle as the crowd boos, and “Anarchy” goes to commercials... Commercial Break(1) Rob Terry vs. David Hart Smith Just days before these two teams step into the ring for the Tag Team Titles, the two big men from each team stepped into the ring, to see who could get the advantage heading into Sunday night. This was a quick match that saw both Skip Sheffield and Tyson Kidd make their way to the ring, as well as interference from Natalya. D.H. Smith picked up the victory after intercepting Sheffield's weapon toss, and hitting “Big Rob” over the head with a steel chair. After the match, Smith, Kidd and Natalya left the ring as Sheffield tried to plead his case while Terry looked at him, trying to shake the cobwebs. JD and SM wonder if the episode will put a damper on their chances of working together this Sunday night... David Hart Smith pinned Rob Terry after hitting him with a steel chair in 0:07:31. Rating: ** [Tyson Kidd interfered against Rob Terry.] [Skip Sheffield interfered against David Hart Smith.]Commercial BreakBackstage, Velvet Sky is seen entering the arena, with the Women's Title around her waist, when she is blindsided by Michelle McCool! McCool takes Velvet down to the concrete and begins landing lefts and rights, before ripping the belt from around her waist. McCool stands, and waits for Velvet to get to her feet, before hitting her in the head with the belt. McCool tells Velvet that she doesn't deserve to be champion, because Velvet hasn't done anything to deserve it. McCool gets ready to hit Velvet with the belt again, but is stopped by Angelina Love. Love pushes McCool away from Sky; and McCool drops the belt before walking away, fuming. Love tends to Sky as the camera goes back to the ring... (2) Alex Shelley vs. Yoshi Tatsu Yoshi Tatsu missed out on his chance to be in the 15-man battle royal this Sunday night, but he made sure not to miss the action tonight, against Alex Shelley – the 7th entrant. Tatsu brought his new-found mean streak with him, and started off very strong, picking up a few near falls, and nearly making Shelley tap out to an armbar. In the end, Shelley connected with the Slice Bread #2 to pick up the victory, and give himself some momentum heading into Sunday night. After the match, Tatsu slapped the canvas in anger, before getting into the referee's face and complaining that he heard Shelley tap out earlier in the match. The referee demanded that Tatsu get out of the ring, but Yoshi pushed him to the mat. KAZ ran down from the back, and stepped in front of this tag partner, trying to calm him down. After a few seconds, Kaz escorted Yoshi to the back, as the crowd showered him with boos. Alex Shelley pinned Yoshi Tatsu with the Sliced Bread #2 in 0:13:44. Rating: *** 1/2Commercial BreakPeter Bradshaw comes to the ring as “Anarchy” returns. He says that he has been very happy by the effort and enthusiasm displayed by the HWL roster, and their quest to challenge for the Heavyweight Title at Wrestleocalypse. He acknowledges that not everyone has been given the perfect position to enter the match, this Sunday night, but says that they will get their chances in the future. Bradshaw says that even though only three men will fight for the coveted 15th entry this Sunday night, all other 14 men have a chance to do the unthinkable. Before Bradshaw can continue, ADAM COLE comes out to the ring with a microphone of his own. Cole says that he thinks it's great that Bradshaw is coming out and praising the effort from the ten men who have already had their battle royals; but says that Bradshaw knows, deep down, that he doesn't mean a single word of it. Cole says that the others might feel better knowing that the Owner had watched their matches, but that he wasn't going to be happy with just a simple pat on the back. Cole says that, last week, he and Kyle O'Reilly warned the HWL that they were going to be a force in the near future. He says that “the future” will be taking place this Sunday, when he walks out of Richmond, Virginia, not only as Jeythe X-Division Champion, but also as the number one contender for the Heavyweight Title. Cole drops the microphone and leaves the ring as Bradshaw stands in the ring, shaking his head. Commercial Break(3) Five-Man Battle Royal Peter Bradshaw stayed at ringside, after his confrontation with Adam Cole, and said that he was looking forward to what would happen in the final qualifier for this Sunday night. There were plenty of surprises in this match, as CM PUNK, KAVAL, and STEVE CORINO all made their returns to the HWL tonight. Another surprise was the addition of current PCW star, KOFI KINGSTON. Punk made quick work of Kingston, at the beginning of the match, and fought to keep himself in the match, while Jey Uso used the help of Tamina to eliminate Corino. In the end, Uso and Punk were the final two standing, and Punk connected with the G.T.S. Before easily throwing Uso over the top rope. After the match, Punk pointed at Bradshaw and said that he was finally going to get the recognition he didn't get before... CM Punk won a 5-man battle royal: x Punk threw out Kofi after a double-reverse suplex in 0:00:17. x S. Corino threw out Kaval in 0:05:05. x Jey threw out S. Corino in 0:10:47. x Punk threw out Jey in 0:15:33. Rating: *** ¼ [Tamina interfered against Steve Corino.]Commercial BreakBackstage, KURT ANGLE is seen making his way to the viewing lounge, when he is approached by RANDY ORTON. Orton says that, no matter what happens tonight, whether he wins the last entry or not, he will be coming after the Heavyweight Title... whether Angle is champion or not. Angle smiles and says that Orton has other things to worry about before then, but that he hopes to see Orton give it his all tonight, or else it'll be worthless... (4) Cody Rhodes vs. Kyle O'Reilly Last week, Rhodes watched – and took advantage of – the attack on D'Angelo Dinero by Adam Cole, putting “The Pope” out of action this week. Tonight, Rhodes stepped into the ring with Cole's partner, and wanted to send a message, that he wouldn't stand for the cheap tactics they were using to get to the top of the HWL. O'Reilly looked to have had the match won on three different occasions, but Rhodes's tenacity helped him kick out of three separate brain busters! Rhodes fought his way back, and was able to hit the Cross Rhodes, to pick up the victory. After the match, MATT MORGAN appeared from the crowd and connected with the Carbon Footprint on Rhodes! Morgan quickly left the ring, to a chorus of boos, as the referee tended to Rhodes in the ring. Cody Rhodes pinned Kyle O'Reilly with the Cross Rhodes in 0:14:39. Rating: **** 1/4Commercial Break(5) Randy Orton vs. Adam Cole vs. CM Punk (Match for #15 Entry Spot) The anticipation in the arena was at it's fullest level as Peter Bradshaw came back down to the broadcast table for the main event. Adam Cole had made his intentions know earlier in the evening; Randy Orton had a confrontation with the Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle; and CM Punk made a triumphant return to the HWL, winning the final battle royal, to earn the vacant spot in tonight's Triple Threat Match. With the final entry spot on the line, all three men stopped at nothing to get what they wanted. After a strong back-and-forth battle, Orton connected with the RKO to eliminate Cole, leaving “The Viper” and Punk to battle it out for spots 14 and 15. The match quickly went outside the ring, where both superstars used everything they could to get the advantage, nearly getting themselves counted out in the process. Back in the ring, Punk locked in the Anaconda Vice, but Orton was able to grab the ropes before tapping out. Staggered and lost on his feet, Orton became a victim of a vicious Punk clothesline, that allowed Punk to pick up the surprising victory. After the match, Punk fell to his knees in celebration of the victory. JD and SM said that Punk just bettered his chances of earning a shot at the Heavyweight Title, but that it wouldn't be known until Sunday night, at Best of the Best... CM Punk defeated Adam Cole and Randy Orton: x R. Orton beat A. Cole via the RKO in 0:17:35. x Punk beat R. Orton via a short lariat in 0:20:10. HWL Best of the Best PPV February 27, 2011 Richmond Coliseum – Richmond, Virginia Attendance: 4,502 (40.6%) A video montage begins to play, showcasing the 15 men that will be in the Best of the Best battle royal. Highlights from the three winners' matches are showing, followed by highlights from the Triple Threat Match from Monday night. “Better Think Again” begins to play through the Coliseum, as fireworks shoot from the stage, and the camera pans through the audience. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Richmond, and announce that seven huge matches are going to take place tonight, culminating with the 15-man Battle Royal, to determine the number one contender for the Heavyweight Title. Backstage, KURT ANGLE is seen entering the Coliseum, carrying the Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. JD and SM question what could be going through his mind as he gets ready to defend the title against “The Monster” Abyss... (1) Michelle McCool vs. © Velvet Sky (Women's Title Match)This match was all about payback, as these two Vixens squared off for the Women's Title to start off the pay-per-view. Michelle McCool was hoping to get even with Velvet, who was responsible for giving McCool her first-ever loss in the HWL, during her debut match no less. McCool earned the right after winning a battle royal, and was determined to make sure she didn't lose to the champ again. Velvet Sky came into this match looking to get even with McCool for the humiliating attack that took place, Monday night, on Anarchy. Both Vixens gave their all tonight, taking the match nearly 30 minutes, fighting both inside and outside of the ring. Velvet used the ringside area to her advantage throughout thevet match, but McCool was still able to hit two Faith Breakers; both times only getting a two-count. Velvet somehow managed to connect with the Beauty Mark, to pick up the victory, and retain the Women's Title. After the match, ANGELINA LOVE joined Velvet in the ring, as she was awarded the title, and celebrated with the crowd. Velvet Sky pinned Michelle McCool with the Beauty Mark in 0:27:40. Rating: ** ¼ (Velvet Sky retained the HWL Women's Title.)Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with NATALYA., who says that, for the past couple weeks, all she has bee able to do is think about what Sarita did to her last month; causing her to lose to Velvet Sky, and costing her the Women's Title. Natalya says that, every night, she would dream of ways to get back at Sarita for what she had done, and that she had been devising ways to harm Sarita in a way that she would never forget. She says that, tonight, she gets that chance; and that Sarita has nowhere to hide. Natalya says that Sarita will pay for sticking her nose in other people's business... Also, backstage, Ted Hanson is backstage with “The Pope” D'ANGELO DINERO. When asked, Dinero says that his back is still sore, and that he still gets moments of pain shooting through his body, but that none of it matters. He says that he has had a lot of time to think, and that he has come to the conclusion that, even in the short amount of time it took, Adam Cole has given him his biggest challenge – and been his biggest threat – for the X-Division Title. Dinero says that he has held the belt longer than anyone else in the history of the HWL, and that even with his injury, he has every intention of walking out of Richmond with the belt. But, Dinero says, that keeping the title may not be his biggest priority, as he wants to exact payback on Cole... (2) Natalya vs. SaritaNatalya had said that she wanted to make an example out of Sarita, and to teach her a lesson for interfering in things that weren't of her concern, but tonight it seemed less about the punishment then getting the victory. Natalya made very, very quick work of Sarita, hitting her with that appeared to be a loaded punch. Sarita fell to the canvas, motionless, as Natalya covered her for the three-count. After the match, Natalya left the ring to a chorus of boos as the referee tended to Sarita. Natalya pinned Sarita after a Discus lariat in 0:00:30, Rating: *Backstage, Ted Hanson is with ADAM COLE. Cole says that he heard what “The Pope” had to say, and that when he loses, he expects Dinero to use his back injury as an excuse. He says that he's aware of the fact that Dinero has been the longest-reigning X-Division Champion in HWL history, but says that it's time to clear out the “old”, and start a new era. Cole says that Dinero is “damaged goods”, and that he no longer needs to be the standard-bearer for the X-Division. Cole says that tonight, he is going to make it his night, and prove that he is the “best of the best”. In the locker room, ROB TERRY is seen getting ready for an up-coming match, when SKIP SHEFFIELD enters the room. Sheffield apologizes, again, for the mistake that happened on Monday night; and says that it was nothing but an accident. He says that he hopes “Big Rob” isn't upset, and that they can put it behind them in order to face The Hart Dynasty. Terry tells Sheffield that, yes, he is still mad about what happened on Monday night; and that it might take some time for that true trusting to come back. But Terry says that one thing that would make things easier, is if they go out and win the Tag Team Titles tonight; and work as a team to do it. Terry walks past Sheffield, and leaves the room, as the camera goes back to ringside... (3) Adam Cole vs. © D'Angelo Dinero (X-Division Title Match)For weeks, Adam Cole had been a thorn in “The Pope's” side, interfering in matches, and ultimately injuring the champion's back, just two weeks before this match. Cole had said that he would take the HWL by storm, and that he would soon make his way to the top of the company. Dinero, on the other hand, had stood by his comments of getting payback on Cole for everything he had done. This match went all over the ringside area, and saw multiple near falls, but it was clear that it was Adam Cole's night. After being able to slide his foot on the bottom rope, to stop a three-count after Dinero hit the DDE, Cole fought back; and using all of his energy, was able to hit a Northern Lights Suplex for the shocking 1-2-3. After the match, Cole was handed the X-Division Title, and left the ring as KYLE O'REILLY joined him at ringside to celebrate as the crowd booed. Adam Cole pinned D'Angelo Dinero after a Northern Lights suplex in 0:17:50. Rating: **** ¼ (Adam Cole won the X-Division Title.)Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with DAVID HART SMITH and TYSON KIDD. Hart says that he and Kidd have had some fierce competition during their reign as Tag Team Champions, but that no match has ever seemed so easy, as the one they're about to have later tonight. He says that, last Monday night, Skip Sheffield ruined Rob Terry's trust in him, just like Terry's last partner did when he left the company. Hart says that he knows Terry is going to second-guess Sheffield all night long, and that will make it much easier for The Hart Dynasty to continue their reign as Tag Team Champions. Kidd says that, after tonight, there won't be a team in the HWL that they haven't gotten the better of... ever. In the locker room, AJ STYLES and MR. ANDERSON are seen, getting ready for the battle royal. CHELSEA and RIC FLAIR enter the room and stand next to the two. Flair says that, for months, they have each been talking and dreaming about being back on top in the HWL. Flair says that he knows they both want to challenge for the Heavyweight Title, and that they want to be a threat to whoever the champion is for a long time. He says that now is the time to prove how badly they want it; and to stop at nothing until they get it. Flair says that he won the WWF Heavyweight Title after winning the Royal Rumble, and was in the match the longest: because he wanted it. Flair says there are going to be 13 other men who want the shot next month, but neither of them can let that get into their head. He says that, in order to win, they both have to overcome those 13... and each other. Flair says that he doesn't want to see any hostility between them, no matter what, because the focus of the match is to face the Heavyweight Champion at Wrestleocolypse. (4) Skip Sheffield/Rob Terry vs. © The Hart Dynasty (HWL Tag Team Title Match)A lot was riding on this match tonight, as the matter of trust hinged on the outcome for the challengers, and the champions were hoping to continue their reign on the top of the tag team division. From the get-go, Natalya made her presence known, tripping Rob Terry just moments after the bell rung. The referee had warned Natalya, but allowed the match to continue. However, just a few moments later, Natalya pulled down the top rope, causing Sheffield to fall onto the concrete floor. The referee quickly called for the bell, awarding the match to Sheffield and Terry, as Smith and Kidd grabbed their title belts and hurried up the ramp, laughing at their opponents' expense. JD and SM exclaimed that The Hart Dynasty “stole” the victory, and that they had hit a new low. On the apron, Rob Terry looked disgusted as he jumped down and helped Sheffield to his feet... Skip Sheffield & Rob Terry defeated The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) when Sheffield defeated D. H. Smith by disqualification in 0:01:59. Rating: ** (The Hart Dynasty retained the HWL Tag Team Titles.)Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with MATT MORGAN. “The Blueprint” says that everyone nowadays is all about the “surprise” factor. He says that Abyss and Kurt Angle are trying to surprise the other one into thinking there's no way that either of them can lose tonight. He says that Velvet Sky surprised everyone when she won the Women's Title, and defended it here tonight. Morgan says that even The Hart Dynasty surprised everyone by keeping the Tag Team Titles around their waists... with a little help. But, he says, the one thing that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, is what's going to happen to Cody Rhodes in their match tonight. Morgan says that this match has been a long time coming, and Rhodes deserves everything he has coming to him. He says that he's been using the past two months as fuel, and promises to leave Rhodes lying on the canvas like he did Monday night. In the locker room, YOSHI TATSU is seen sitting alone, when he is approached by KAZ. Kaz says that he wants to know what's been going on with his partner, and Yoshi tells him that he's tired of being overlooked by everyone in the HWL. He says that, even after he and Kaz came close to winning the tag team titles, he feels like Kaz abandoned him, and left him to fend for himself. So, he says, he found a common enemy in everyone on the roster, and that he won't be happy until he gets some recognition for what he can do in the ring. Kaz tells him that going through and attacking opponents – and the referees – is not the way to get that recognition; it's a way to get fired. Kaz also says that Yoshi would've had a chance to get that recognition by being a part of the Battle Royal tonight, but he no-showed the match. Infuriated, Yoshi shoved Kaz out of his way and walked out of view as the camera goes back to ringside... (5) Matt Morgan vs. Cody RhodesThis feud has been brewing since the latter part of 2010, when Matt Morgan caused Rhodes to sustain a concussion in a match against Kurt Angle. Morgan then defeated Rhodes to earn a shot at Kurt Angle last month, in which Rhodes got his revenge, costing Morgan the title belt. These two had been dueling it out since then, and tonight, they left it all out in the ring. The constant, outside of the ferocity of both competitors, was the frustration caused by the referee. On multiple occasions, Morgan connected with the Carbon Footprint, only to complain about a slow count after Rhodes was able to kick out. The same could be said for Rhodes, who had several chances to put away Morgan, only to feel like the referee had slowed down the three-count. In the end, Rhodes connected with a beautiful Cross Rhodes, that left no question that Morgan wouldn't kick out, and picked up a huge victory. After the match, Rhodes celebrated in the ring as the fans cheered on his effort. Cody Rhodes pinned Matt Morgan with the Cross Rhodes in 0:24:45. Rating: ***Backstage, Ted Hanson is seen with KURT ANGLE. Angle says that, at first, he didn't need any motivation coming into his title defense tonight. But after feeling the trainers pull out the hundreds of thumbtacks that were sticking in his back Monday night, Angle says that he is more motivated then ever to beat Abyss. Angle says that Abyss crossed the line on Monday night, and that there is no more waiting; the time for action – and redemption – is tonight. Also backstage, JEY USO is seen warming up in the hallway, when STEVE CORINO comes from behind and pushes Uso into the wall. Corino warns Uso that what he and Tamina did on Monday night were not going to be forgiven, and that the battle royal tonight would not be enough for Corino to feel even. (6) “The Monster” Abyss vs. © “The Olympic Gold Medalist” Kurt Angle (Heavyweight Title Match)The utter hatred that these two feel for each other was on display tonight, and there was very little the referee could do to stop it. Abyss took advantage of Angle's lower back pain with his arsenal of power moves, but Angle was resilient and was able to kick out before the three on multiple occasions. Both men eventually found their way outside the ring, where nothing was left untouched – including the announce table! In the process, Abyss was busted open after being rammed into the steel ring post, and the wound would get worse as the match went on. A bit of controversy took place during the match, as the referee was seen, noticeably, counting to 10, but not calling for the bell as both men continued to battle outside the ring. Back in the ring, Abyss brought in a nail board, and used it successfully on Angle, opening up a small gash in the champion's back. But, by this time, Abyss was losing lots of blood, and had become weaker. He was unable to gather any further momentum, and Angle connected with a surprising belly-to-belly suplex before locking in the Ankle Lock. It too no time at all before the referee called for the bell, awarding the match to Angle. After the match, as the referee handed the Heavyweight Title to Angle, and tended to Abyss, PETER BRADSHAW made his way on-stage. Bradshaw said that the referee should've have done his job, and kept the integrity of the match, but failed to do so by allowing the match to continue. Bradshaw said that, because the referee had officially counted both men out, Angle's victory would be voided, and the match would go down as a double count-out; yet Angle would retain the title. Bradshaw said that he would make a decision on what would be done about both the referee and the outcome of the match, tomorrow night. Bradshaw left the ring as Angle stared down at the referee, who shook his head in disbelief. Kurt Angle and Abyss battled to a double count-out in 24:52. Rating: **** (Kurt Angle retained the HWL Heavyweight Title.)Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with CM PUNK. Punk says that he had been sitting at home, after being released from the HWL last year, wondering why it bothered him so much that no one took up his cause; why no one listened to what he had to say. Punk said that the two people who had listened to him, turned their backs on him, and left him to float in the sea of wasted humanity alone. But, he says, that they're no longer with the company, and he's one match away from headlining Wrestleocolypse. Punk says that, during his time away, he came to the realization that he wasn't going to get people's attention just by talking to them; he needed to prove that he was worthy of being heard and believed in. Punk says that he came back with the simple mission of getting the respect he deserved from the people in – and the fans of – the HWL. He says that there's no better way of doing that than eliminating 14 other men to become Number One Contender for the Heavyweight Title... A preview for “WRESTLEOCOLYPSE” is shown, with “Canto” by Five Finger Death Punch playing in the background. The first installment of the event will take place March 27th, live from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan! (7) #1 Contender's Match (15-Man Battle Royal)This match was full of surprises, including a quick 14-second stint by Kaz, who was eliminated by AJ Styles. Styles, and his partner Mr. Anderson, worked well as a team, singling out Ted DiBiase as the match wore one; Anderson quickly disposed of Evan Bourne after just over a minute upon Bourne's entry into the match. Two other big surprises were the two quick stints by both Randy Orton and CM Punk, who were both quickly eliminated, minutes after entering the ring – with the two final spots! Alex Shelley and Eddie Edwards showed off their tenacity, as they both were in the ring for over 30 minutes, but Shelley shocked the crowd in Richmond as he made the last elimination after throwing Adam Cole over the top rope to win the match, and earn himself a main event spot at Wrestleocolypse. After the match, JD and SM both voiced their shock as Shelley celebrated the huge victory in the center of the ring. The crowd watched disbelief as PETER BRADSHAW made his way down to the ring to shake Shelley's hand. The event went off the air with the two men standing in the center of the ring. Alex Shelley won a 15-man battle royal: x Styles threw out Kaz after a clothesline in 0:00:14. x Anderson threw out E. Bourne in 0:07:17. x A. Shelley threw out Anderson after an armdrag takedown in 0:10:16. x A. Shelley threw out Styles in 0:13:36. x O'Reilly threw out DiBiase in 0:23:23. x Kaval threw out S. Corino after a backslide in 0:24:53. x R. Orton threw out Jey after a DDT in 0:28:57. x Kaval threw out Punk after a kick to the chest in 0:29:29. x Kofi threw out R. Orton after an elbowsmash in 0:29:49. x Kaval threw out O'Reilly in 0:32:18. x A. Cole threw out Kaval in 0:32:51. x E. Edwards threw out Kofi in 0:42:23. x A. Shelley threw out E. Edwards in 0:44:49. x A. Shelley threw out A. Cole in 0:49:29. Rating: ***Card rating: ***

Monday Night Anarchy February 28, 2011 John Paul Jones Arena – Charlottesville, Virginia Attendance: 10,156 (66.6%) The closing moments from the Abyss-Kurt Angle main event are shown, ending with Peter Bradshaw declaring the match a no-contest. Highlights also include: Velvet Sky retaining the Women's Title; Natalya defeating Sarita; Adam Cole becoming new X-Division Champion; the disqualification of The Hart Dynasty; Cody Rhodes defeating Matt Morgan; and Alex Shelley winning the 15-man battle royal. “Headstrong” blares through the arena as fireworks shoot off from the stage, inside the darkened arena. As the lights come on, smoke rises to the ceiling, as the fans go crazy, screaming and holding up their homemade signs. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to Charlottesville – and to the campus of the University of Virginia – where tonight, it has been announced that the Tag Team Titles will be on the line, in a match in which Natalya will be banned from ringside, as The Hart Dynasty, once again, defends their belts against Skip Sheffield and Rob Terry. Also, tonight, it is announced that Evan Bourne will be in action as he takes on Kofi Kingston from the PCW. PETER BRADSHAW makes his way down the ramp, and into the ring, as JD and SM speculate as to what the Owner will have to say. Bradshaw grabs a microphone and says that there haven't been too many moments where he felt embarrassed about being the owner of the HWL. Bradshaw says that he has never second-guessed his decision to purchase the company after it went bankrupt two years ago; but that last night he sat and watched – with his head in his hands – as a paid official ruined the integrity of his company by not doing his job correctly. He says that he was not playing around last night, when he said that their would be consequences for that bad decision. Bradshaw says that he didn't take a whole lot of time to think about what he was going to do about the situation, and says that, as of last night, the referee in question is no longer on the HWL payroll. Bradshaw says that it's no big loss, because he could easily find someone else willing to do the job they're paid for. But, Bradshaw says that there is a more important issue at hand, and that's the Heavyweight Title. Bradshaw announces that, tonight, the HWL Heavyweight Title will be on the line, as Kurt Angle defends the title, against Abyss, in a steel cage match. The crowd goes insane as Bradshaw drops the microphone and leaves the ring... Commercial Break(1) Kaz vs. Jey Uso (w/Tamina) Two participants from last night's battle royal started off the show tonight, but the match didn't take too long to come to an end, as STEVE CORINO made his way to ringside. Corino quickly interfered in the match, tripping Jey Uso, causing the referee to disqualify Kaz. After the match, Corino entered the ring and continued his attack on Uso, saying that things still aren't even between the two of them. Corino got to his feet and stared at Tamina before leaving the ring... Jey Uso defeated Kaz by disqualification in 0:04:02. Rating: ** [Steve Corino interfered against Jey Uso.]Commercial BreakBackstage, SARITA, with a large black-and-blue bruise on her face, confronts PETER BRADSHAW. She says that she wants to know what's going to happen to Natalya, for using a closed first – and for knocking her out – last night at the pay-per-view. Bradshaw says that, he has watched the tape, and that he didn't see anything that would constitute Natalya being punished for her actions. Sarita says that, if Bradshaw isn't going to do anything about it, then she will have to take actions into her own hands... (2) Steve Corino vs. “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles (w/Chelsea & Ric Flair) Steve Corino had a big test in front of him tonight, taking on the former Heavyweight Champion tonight. JEY USO made his way to the ring, just seconds into the match, and was at ringside to witness Styles executing a top-rope Frankensteiner on Corino for a two-count. Corino appeared to have been caught off guard, seeing Uso at ringside, and that presence took his mind off the other person at ringside, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Flair tried to intervene, tripping Corino; and that allowed Styles the opening to hit the Styles Clash for the 1-2-3. After the match, Uso was shown smiling as he made his way up the ramp. AJ Styles pinned Steve Corino with the Styles Clash in 0:04:40. Rating: *** [Ric Flair interfered against Steve Corino.]Commercial BreakComing back from the break, ALEX SHELLEY makes his way down to the ring, as the crowd cheers. He thanks the crowd for their response, and says that they are all looking at a different man; a man who has grown up over the past few months, and who saw that transformation lead him to the main event at Wrestleocolypse. He says that he didn't always take the business seriously, when he and his best friend starting making hay in the independents. He says that neither of them really took it seriously when they were winning championship titles in other promotions. Shelley admits that they may not have taken it as seriously as they should have, even as they were holding the HWL Tag Team Titles. But, he says that he started to grow up when Chris Sabin left the HWL. He was alone, in the business, for the first time, and he says that he wasn't sure of himself. Shelley says that he wandered around the backstage area, every week, searching for the one thing to latch onto... to give him the reason he needed to take this business seriously. Shelley says that he found that when he started teaming up with Randy Orton. He says that he probably wasn't the best choice for a partner that Randy Orton could find, but that he thought his experience as a former Tag Team Champion would help their cause. Shelley says that he did make a lot of mistakes, and that some of them could've been the difference between he and Orton winning the Tag Team Titles on multiple occasions; but he says that what happened a couple months ago, when Orton attacked him – and the other men in the X-Division – was the wake up call he had been looking for. Shelley says that, sitting in the back with ice on his head, he knew that he wouldn't be satisfied until he got the better of “The Viper”. Shelley says that he got his chance last month, to do just that, but came up short. He says that Orton would never be happy with just winning a match, so he RKO'ed Shelley after their match at Brutality. Shelley says that that was the moment he knew that something had to be done. He says that, last night, at Best of the Best, he achieved something that Orton has not: he become Number One Contender for the Heavyweight Title... RANDY ORTON's music hits, and “The Viper” comes down to the ring, standing toe-to-toe with Shelley. Orton says that Shelley is a disgrace to the business, saying that he admitted to not taking it seriously. Orotn says that he has spent years traveling, rehabbing, and putting his body on the line to make a name for himself in the business; and that if the crowd cheers for anyone, it should be him. The crowd responses with a chorus of boos. Orton continues, saying that the only reason they were partners for as long as they were, was because Orton was waiting to see if Shelley would ever take their task of regaining the Tag Team Titles seriously: something he never did. He says that their match at Brutality was nothing more then a chance for Orton to teach Shelley a lesson; and that it must've done its job. Orton admits that Shelley won the battle royal last night, but says that even Shelley should agree that he doesn't deserve it; and that the number one contender should be someone who takes the title – and what it stands for – more seriously then anything in his life. Orton says that, if Shelley says he's a changed man, and is taking the business more seriously – then he would put up his title shot against someone who deserves it, next week on Anarchy. Without hesitation, Shelley agrees to the match, and the two men stare each other down as Anarchy goes to commercials. Commercial Break(3) Skip Sheffield/Rob Terry vs. © The Hart Dynasty (HWL Tag Team Title Match) This match sounded like it would go much easier for the challengers with Natalya being banned from ringside, after her interference last night at Best of the Best; but without her at ringside, the champions were able to show off their in-ring abilities, something they haven't had much of a chance to do during their title reign. Smith and Kidd showed that they could hold their own, very well, against their bigger opponents, without the fear of disqualification looming. The match went past the time limit, but in the end, Rob Terry connected with the Freakbuster on Tyson Kidd to pick up the victory, ending the Hart Dynasty's seven-month reign on the top. After the match, Sheffield and Terry celebrated in the ring, as Smith looked on in shocked horror. Skip Sheffield & Rob Terry defeated The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) when R. Terry pinned T. Kidd with the Freakbuster in 0:20:29. Rating: *** (Skip Sheffield & Rob Terry won the HWL Tag Team Titles.)Commercial BreakAnarchy returns, with Peter Bradshaw in his office, backstage. Bradshaw says that, due to the interference by Steve Corino earlier tonight, he will step into the ring against Kaz, next week on Anarchy. Also, Bradshaw announces that Sarita will get her rematch, against Natalya, also next week. (4) Kofi Kingston vs. Evan Bourne Both men came up short in their bids to become number one contender for the Heavyweight Title, last night at Best of the Best, but tonight they showed off their amazing high-flying abilities in a fast-paced match. One-half of the current PCW Tag Team Champions, Kingston had a strong showing in the Battle Royal last night, and showed, once again, that he could contend with the men on the main roster. But, in the end, Evan Bourne connected with a forearm shot to the back of the head, giving him just enough time to pick up the victory. Bourne slid out of the ring, and celebrated the win, as Kingston got to his feet, holding the back of his head. Evan Bourne pinned Kofi Kingston after a flying forearm in 0:14:38. Rating: ***Commercial Break(5) “The Monster” Abyss vs. © “The Olympic Gold Medalist” Kurt Angle (Steel Cage Match for HWL Heavyweight Title) The anticipation for this match had been building throughout the evening, and both men seemed ready to finally put an end to what appeared to be the question of the night: Who wanted the Heavyweight Title more? Both Abyss and Angle wanted to answer that question outright, as they both did whatever they could to keep the other from getting out of the cage. With no rules inside the cage, both men became covered in blood, from not only the cage, but weapons all around the ring. Abyss took the advantage after tossing Angle into the cage, injuring the champ's back. After hitting the Black Hole Slam, “the Monster” attempted to climb the cage, but he found himself having trouble getting over the top. Angle, still reeling from the pain in his back, climbed the ropes, and caught Abyss in the Olympic Slam, from the top rope! As the crowd roared, Angle – with every ounce of strength he could muster – crawled his way out of the cage, and fell to the concrete as he was announced the winner. After the match, Angle was awarded the Heavyweight Title, and was escorted to the back by HWL medical staff; who also attended to Abyss as Anarchy went off the air. Kurt Angle defeated Abyss by escaping the cage in 0:16:56. Rating: *** ½ (Kurt Angle retained the HWL Heavyweight Title.)Card rating: *** ¼

Monday Night Anarchy March, 7, 2011 Verizon Center - Washington, DC Attendance: 14,264 (69%) The final moments of last week’s episode are shown, highlighting Kurt Angle’s successful title defense over Abyss in a steel cage match. The clip ends as Angle is escorted from ringside by the medical staff… “Headstrong” blares through the darkened arena as fireworks shoot from the stage. As the lights come on, the camera pans through the arena, showing the crowd and their signs. The smoke clears to the top of the arena as the camera goes to the broadcast table, where Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels welcome everyone to the nation’s capital, just three weeks away from the biggest event in the history of the Horizon Wrestling League. They announce that, the big story of the night, is the number one contender’s match - between Alex Shelley and Randy Orton - will be tonight’s main event; with the winner earning the chance to go to Wrestleocolypse to face Kurt Angle for the Heavyweight Title. It is also announced, tonight, that X-Division Champion Adam Cole will team up with Kyle O’Reilly to face the newly crowned Tag Team Champions, Skip Sheffield and Rob Terry. ALEX SHELLEY makes his way down to the ramp, getting a good response from the crowd. He stands in the center of the ring, and says that he has made a lot of memories throughout his years in the wrestling business, and that they all mean something different to him. But, he says that it’s good to be back in Washington, DC (cheap pop), the place where, just about a year ago, he and his former tag team partner won the HWL Tag Team Titles, at the first-ever Rebellion pay-per-view. Shelley says that he didn’t expect his career to go on the kind of roller coaster ride it’s been since that night, but that he stands here, a year later, as the number one contender for the Heavyweight Title… RANDY ORTON interrupts Shelley, and comes down to the ring, getting a tremendous amount of boos from the crowd. Orton says that he didn’t want to sit in the back, and listen to Shelley come out and “remember the good days”, because he could see that Shelley was just wasting time. Orton says that Shelley was out here, running his mouth, because he wanted to wait as long as possible before stepping into the ring with Orton, later tonight. Orton says that he could tell that Shelley knows his time as number one contender is counting down to the mere hours now, and that Shelley wants to hold on to that spot for just a little bit longer. He says that Shelley had his moment, to bask in the glory of winning the Tag Team Titles in DC last year, but that tonight his luck was going to be drastically different when Orton got finished with him. Orton throws down the microphone, and leaves the ring, as the crowd continues to boo. Shelley stares a hole through “The Viper” as Anarchy goes to commercials. Commercial Break(1) Steve Corino vs. Kaz Last week, Steve Corino interfered against Jey Uso, costing Kaz the match. Afterwards, Kaz demanded to face Corino, in the ring tonight, hoping to get retribution. What he got, instead, was a fight with a man who really had nothing to lose. Kaz nearly had the match won, after hitting the Beach Break, but Corino was able to get his foot on the ropes before the three-count. The match continued, and eventually both men made their way outside the ring, where Corino connected with a vicious Lariat, causing Kaz’s head to bounce off the concrete! Not wanting to win by countout, Corino rolled Kaz back into the ring and went for the cover, but Kaz was able to lift his shoulder before the three. Infuriated, Corino went back outside, and grabbed a steel chair from the announcer’s booth. Back inside the ring, Corino dented the chair over Kaz’s head, opening up a small gash that started to bleed quickly. The referee called for the bell, and Corino left the ring, holding the chair in the air, as the crowd booed. Kaz defeated Steve Corino by disqualification in 0:12:11. Rating: *** ¼Commercial BreakBackstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with ADAM COLE and KYLE O’RIELLY. Cole says that, at Best of the Best, he showed that he truly was better then D’Angelo Dinero, and that the one - and only - thing that proves it, is the X-Division Title draped over his shoulder. Cole says that he’s already fulfilled one promise he made, in the center of that ring; and tonight, he and O’Reilly are making another promise, so that all the “idiots and losers” watching on TV - and in the arena - know that they’re for real. Cole says that, tonight, they are stepping into the ring with the new Tag Team Champions. He says that, he and O’Reilly, have every intention on beating them in the center of the ring; and in due time, becoming the new Tag Team Champions. Cole says that stands by his statement… that he and O’Reilly will be the men to beat in the Horizon Wrestling League. (2) Sarita vs. Natalya Eight days after getting a black eye from Natalya’s right fist; and a week after demanding a match against the second-generation star, Sarita was finally able to step back into the ring to get the match she wanted. Still showing signs of the black eye from the pay-per-view, Sarita was taken off guard by Natalya’s airplane spin in the opening moments of the match. But, Sarita fought back, and after a strong showing of high-flying offense she rolled up Natalya in a Victory Roll, to get the surprising 1-2-3! After the match, Sarita quickly rolled out of the ring, and celebrated with the fans, as Natalya screamed out in frustration inside the ring. Sarita pinned Natalya after a Victory Roll in 0:04:03. Rating: ***Commercial BreakCM PUNK makes his way down to the ring, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. Punk says that he came out to get something off his chest; something that is the sole reason for him returning to the HWL just two weeks ago. Punk says that, for nearly eight months, he sat in the locker room - every single week - and waited for his chance to prove that he had what it took inside the ring. For eight months, he had a message that he wanted to get across to the ignorant people who looked up to the liars, alcoholics, and drug addicts that filled up the HWL roster. Punk says that, when he did get his chance to do what he got paid to do, he was constantly stabbed in the back by the very people whom he had taken under his wing. He says that, had things continued any longer, he would’ve found himself inside this ring with one of those follows; and that he would’ve taught him a very valuable lesson… but, Punk says that he’s put that issue behind him. He says that he returned to the HWL to not only get that message across - that he was better then the majority of people in the arenas around the world, and those watching at home - but, to prove that he deserved a better chance than what he received a year ago. Punk says that he wasn’t very happy with his showing in the Battle Royal, at Best of the Best, but neither did Randy Orton. Punk says that, Randy Orton came out last week, and demanded that he face Alex Shelley for the chance to face Kurt Angle at Wrestleocolypse… but has done nothing to prove that he’s worthy of it. Punk says that Randy Orton is proving that anyone can come out here and complain, and be handed whatever they want. Punk says that, unlike Orton, he’s not out demanding a shot at the Heavyweight Title; because Punk was raised with the belief that you have to earn what you get. Punk says that he wants to “earn” the right to challenge for the Heavyweight Title… whenever the chance may come. Punk says that he’s out here to inform everyone on the roster that he will not be held down a second time; and, that he has come out to make an “open challenge” to anyone in the back, that feels they are tired of being held back themselves. Punk says that there would be no greater stage for the match to take place on, then at Wrestleocolypse, on March 27th. Punk drops the microphone, and leaves the ring, as the crowd returns with a mixed reaction. Commercial Break(3) © Alex Cole/Kyle O’Reilly vs. © Skip Sheffield/Rob Terry (non-title match) Cole and O’Reilly were very confident tonight, heading into this match against bigger and stronger opponents, but they seemed unfazed by that fact when the bell rang. They got a little extra help from THE HART DYNASTY, who made their presence known early on in the match; keeping a strong presence at ringside, without interfering. Although distracted, the newly crowned champs kept the match at even keel, as it went back and forth between both teams, splitting offense throughout. Half-way through the match, Adam Cole and Rob Terry took things outside the ring, where Terry threw the X-Division Champion into the ring steps, sending them flying! But, back inside the ring, Cole had the wherewithal to reverse a body slam into an inside package for a very close two-count. The match went past the time limit, with neither team wanting to give in, but TYSON KIDD got involved, smacking Sheffield in the back of the head with one of the Tag Team Titles! This allowed Cole to quickly lift Sheffield up and execute a fireman’s carry into a knee neck breaker. Cole quickly made the cover and scored a huge upset over the Tag Team Champions! After the match, Cole, O’Reilly and the Hart Dynasty quickly made their way up the ramp as Rob Terry checked on his partner, inside the ring. Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly defeated Skip Sheffield & Rob Terry when A. Cole pinned S. Sheffield after a fireman’s carry into a knee neck breaker in 0:21:57. Rating: *** [Tyson Kidd interfered against Skip Sheffield.]Commercial BreakBackstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with PETER BRADSHAW. Bradshaw announces that there will be a special match taking place at Wrestleocolypse; something that he thinks will have the chance to shock and surprise the fans of the HWL. Bradshaw says that the match will consist of six men, and that the winner of the match will receive a guaranteed contract - for a Heavyweight Title Match - any time within the next six months. Bradshaw says that qualifying for the match will begin next week… (4) Tyson Kidd (w/Natalya) vs. Evan Bourne Tyson Kidd came into this match, poised to knock Evan Bourne off the track to the X-Division Title, but seemed to be more concerned with making sure there was no retribution by either of the Tag Team Champions for his interference in their match earlier tonight. That distraction, on Kidd’s part, was all Bourne needed to continue his winning ways. Bourne didn’t resort to his usual high-flying ways in this match; wanting to show that he can excel on the mat, as well. And he did just that, by debilitating Kidd with a backbreaker, long enough to pick up the 1-2-3. Evan Bourne pinned Tyson Kidd after a back breaker in 0:08:09. Rating: ***Commercial Break(5) Alex Shelley vs. Randy Orton (#1 Contenders Match) The tone for this match was set at the beginning of the show, when Randy Orton promised that Alex Shelley’s luck would change from the last time he was in Washington, DC. Orton came out, looking to do more then stopping the dreams of his former tag team partner; but, to do enough damage to fully take him out of the Wrestleocolypse card altogether. But, Shelley persevered, and gave “The Viper” a fight that Orton wasn’t expecting. Both men hit their finishers, early on in the match, to no avail, leaving the crowd guessing. The match found it’s way outside the ring, and both men showed no signs of letting up as the referee began his 10-count. Shockingly, the bell rang after the referee counted both men out, but neither of them seemed to notice, as the fight continued outside the ring. The referee tried to break up the fight, but was pushed to the ground by Orton, who then hit a devastating RKO onto the concrete floor! HWL officials rushed down to the ring as Orton stood over Shelley’s motionless body, demanding that “The Viper” go backstage. Anarchy went off the air as the officials tended to Shelley at ringside… Alex Shelley and Randy Orton battled to a double countout in 0:19:14. Rating: *** ¼Card rating: *** ¼

Monday Night Anarchy March 14, 2011 CONSOL Energy Center - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Attendance: 7,777 (43%) A clip of last week’s main event is shown, showcasing the double countout finish between Alex Shelley and Randy Orton. The clip also shows the post-match attack, and RKO, executed by Orton before he left the ringside area… The arena lights go out as “Headstrong” blares through the darkness, and fireworks shoot from the stage. As the lights come on, and the smoke rises to the top of the arena, the camera pans around the crowd. Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels are at ringside, and they welcome everyone to Pittsburgh, just 13 days before the HWL invades “The Motor City” for Wrestleocolypse. Tonight, it’s announced that the X-Division Champion, Adam Cole will take on Eddie Edwards in a non-title match; and the Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle will take on Mr. Anderson in non-title action. KURT ANGLE’s music hits, causing the hometown crowd to go crazy, as the Heavyweight Champion walks down to the ring with the title belt over his shoulder. Angle says that he sat in the back, last week, and watched Randy Orton and Alex Shelley practically kill themselves for the chance to face him in two weeks. Angle says that he remembers the night Orton said he would get his chance, but didn’t think that he’d stoop to the level that he did, by challenging the outright Number One Contender; who just happened to be his former tag partner. Angle says that he knows Orton is trying to come across as a “big” man, pushing his weight around; but says that all Orton is doing, is making himself to look like a paranoid egotistical jackass. Angle says that he thinks Orton wants to be in this match so badly, because he doesn’t want Alex Shelley to be the one challenging for the title - and having any chance to win it. He says that Orton thinks it should be him getting that chance… RANDY ORTON’s music begins to play as “The Viper” makes his way down to the ring, getting into the face of Kurt Angle. Orton says that Angle is absolutely correct, in that, Orton should be the one getting the shot at the Heavyweight Title, because he is better inside the ring than Alex Shelley… hands down. Orton says that Shelley is the reason they never became tag team champions; that he had to carry Shelley for the entire duration of their partnership. Orton says that, sitting in the back, Shelley knows that Orton is telling the truth, but he just won’t admit it. Angle then says that he had done a little bit of research, and found out that the last time Randy Orton had a partner in the HWL, they only had the tag team titles for eight days, before the company went under. He says that Alex Shelley, and his former partner, held the title for only two months last year. Angle says that, based on those facts, it seems like the only thing Shelley needed Orton to do was watch his back; something Angle knows Orton doesn’t do, because he’s only out for himself. Angle then says that, if Orton claims to be the better wrestler inside the ring, then he would’ve won the Battle Royal two weeks ago, and not Alex Shelley. Angle says that Orton is clearly jealous of the success his former partner is having, and that he would stop at nothing to take it away from him. Angle then congratulates Orton on doing just that: stealing the spotlight from someone more deserving. Irritated, Orton drops the microphone and attempts and RKO, only for Angle to reverse it, attempting an Olympic Slam of his own. Orton avoids the attempt, and slides out of the ring, getting met with a chorus of boos from the crowd. Angle demands that Orton get back into the ring as “The Viper” makes his way up the ramp… Commercial Break(1) Michelle McCool vs. Angelina Love Fast-paced match with a lot of pinfall attempts. Angelina Love controlled most of the match, though McCool tried to stage a comeback; but it was too late. Love won after ducking a leg lariat by McCool and connecting with the Lights Out for the 1-2-3. Angelina Love pinned Michelle McCool with the Lights Out in 0:05:18. Rating: * 3/4Commercial BreakCODY RHODES‘s music hits as Anarchy returns from commercials. He makes his way down the ramp, to a good reaction from the crowd, and grabs a microphone. Rhodes says that he listened to CM Punk’s speech last night, and couldn’t help but feel compelled to jump up and be the first to accept Punk’s open challenge. Rhodes says that he’s not going to let his personal feelings for Punk - either good or bad - get in the way, but that he took to heart was Punk said last week. Rhodes says that he has noticed himself being held back for the past few weeks, even after going out and defeating Matt Morgan just two months ago. Rhodes says that he got away from being held back as Ted DiBiase’s partner, and that he won’t let it happen again. Rhodes says that, if CM Punk is man enough to keep his word, then he has a challenger for Wrestleocolypse. Rhodes drops the microphone as he awaits his opponent… (2) Cody Rhodes vs. Kyle O’Reilly Cody Rhodes sounded very determined as he came out to accept CM Punk’s challenge for Wrestleocolypse. Tonight, though, he stepped into the ring with Kyle O’Reilly, who looked to continue the success from last week’s huge victory over the Tag Team Champions. Both men swapped offense throughout the entire match, with no one really take true advantage. The match made its way outside the ring, where Rhodes whipped O’Reilly into the guardrail, before sending him back into the ring. Rhodes, seizing the opportunity, hit the Cross Rhodes, but somehow O’Reilly was able to kick out before the three-count. Rhodes quickly locked in an armbar submission, torquing back on the limb, giving O’Reilly no other option but to tap out. After the match, Rhodes slid out of the ring, and made his way up the ramp, as the crowd cheered. Cody Rhodes made Kyle O’Reilly submit to an armbar submission in 0:9:21. Rating: *** 1/4Commercial BreakComing back from the break, the Tag Team Champions, SKIP SHEFFIELD and ROB TERRY make their way to the ring, getting a good reaction from the crowd. Sheffield says that they have made a name for themselves in the HWL, having gone undefeated and ending the longest reign of any team in the history of the company. But he says that all those accomplishments were thrown out the window, last week, when he and “Big Rob” lost to Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly. Sheffield says that they - and everyone in Pittsburgh - know that they should’ve won that match. But, he says, that both of them are taking the loss with a grain of salt, because they both know that neither Cole nor O’Reilly could have beaten them without help from The Hart Dynasty. Terry gets on the microphone and says that, for so long, The Hart Dynasty has claimed to be the best tag team in the HWL; and that they were correct until two weeks ago, when Terry and Sheffield beat them, in the center of the ring, for the belts. He says that, now, The Hart Dynasty will apparently stop at nothing to get their attention. Terry says that they did a great job of getting their attention last week, when Tyson Kidd interfered, hitting Skip with a steal chair, and allowing him to fall victim to Adam Cole’s finisher. Terry says that, again, The Hart Dynasty got their attention… and that they will soon regret that. Sheffield gets on the microphone again, and says that the Hart Dynasty are the former champions, which means they have a rematch clause in their contracts; all they had to do was ask for their match, and he and Terry would’ve been happy to give it to them. But, instead, they tried playing mind games on the new champs - something that will not work, because they’ve seen through their tricks before. Sheffield then calls out Kidd and David Hart Smith, demanding that they face each other in the center of the ring. (crowd cheers) THE HART DYNASTY make their way to the ring, getting a chorus of boos from the crowd, and enter the ring. David Hart Smith says that Sheffield was right: they do have a rematch clause in their contracts; and that, they aren’t going to wait to cash in on it. He says that, if Sheffield and Terry are half the champions he and Kidd were, they’d put the belts on the line right now, tonight. All for men get ready for the match - as the crowd begins to go crazy - when PETER BRADSHAW appears on-stage… Bradshaw says that he knows the crowd would love to see The Hart Dynasty and Sheffield and Terry go at each other for the Tag Team Titles; but that it will not happen tonight. Bradshaw says that the two teams will face each other, for the Tag Team Titles, at Wrestleocolypse. Bradshaw then says that Sheffield and Terry have been given the night off, and that they are excused from the building. He also announces that The Hart Dynasty must stay in the ring, because they will be in action tonight, against Kaz and Yoshi Tatsu. Bradshaw then leaves the stage, as Sheffield and Terry leave the ring - sharing cold stares with their challengers - as Anarchy goes to commercials… Commercial Break(3) The Hart Dynasty (w/Natalya) vs. Kaz/Yoshi Tatsu After getting their rematch signed for the biggest event of the year, and having Peter Bradshaw give their opponents for the event, the night off, The Hart Dynasty found themselves in a good spot - facing off against a team that hasn’t teamed up in a few weeks. Yoshi Tatsu, as of late, has been going through some sort of issue, that has turned him into a loose cannon - so to speak. Kaz has really been the only person to keep Yoshi in-check the past feweeks; and tonight, they tried their teamwork out against the number one contenders. However, SKIF SHEFFIELD did not heed the Owner’s request, as he made his way down to the ring seconds after the bell rung. He got involved, after biding his time, tossing Kaz a set of brass knuckles, that connected with Tyson Kidd’s jaw, but only got a two-count. The match continued for some time afterwards, when NATALYA got involved, entering the ring and knocking Kaz out cold with a steel chair shot! David Hart Smith went for the cover, but Yoshi was able to put his partner’s foot on the rope, breaking up the count. Still the match continued, as Smith and Kaz made their way outside the ring. On the other side of the ring, Sheffield grabbed Kidd and tossed him into the ring steps, taking him out of the match altogether! But, Sheffield couldn’t help but watch as Smith brought Kaz back into the ring, and connected with a flying leg drop to pick up the victory. After the match, Sheffield entered the ring and hits Smith with a backpack stunner, in the center of the ring! Sheffield stares down at Smith as JD and SM talk about the destruction Sheffield has caused at ringside. The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) defeated Kaz & Yoshi Tatsu when D.H. Smith pinned Kaz after a flying leg drop in 0:18:42. Rating: **** ¼ [Skip Sheffield interfered against Tyson Kidd.]Commercial BreakBackstage, SARITA is seen walking through the hallways, when she is brutally attacked by NATAYLA. Natalya screams at Sarita, asking if she felt lucky with her win last week. After slapping Sarita in the back of the head, Natalya tells her that, next week, Natalya is going to finish things for good. Natalya walks off as Sarita lays on in the floor, holding her head in pain… (4) Eddie Edwards vs. © Adam Cole (non-title match) The HWL crowd, tonight, got their first real glimpse of Eddie Edwards, as he took on the X-Division Champion. This was also the first match between these two, both in HWL and during their time in PCW. Edwards showed a resiliency that not many knew he had, fighting the champion, tooth and nail for nearly 15 minutes. But, Cole proved to be a little too much for him, hitting the Panama Sunrise to pick up the pinfall, and remain on his winning streak heading into Wrestleocolypse, with an opponent yet to be named… Adam Cole pinned Eddie Edwards with the Panama Sunrise in 0:12:19. Rating: ***Commercial Break(5) Mr. Anderson (w/Ric Flair & Chelsea) vs. © Kurt Angle (non-title match) The crowd could hardly hold in their anticipation for this match, as they awaited their hometown champion. Angle came out to the ring, after an earlier verbal altercation with Randy Orton, looking to gain some momentum heading into the Triple Threat Match next Sunday night. The HWL crowd hadn’t seen, or heard, much from Mr. Anderson as of lately; as he and AJ Styles have been out of action for a few weeks. But tonight, he was given a huge match, against the Heavyweight Champion. Anderson came out strong, battling the champ, and keeping things even throughout the early onset of the match. During the match, both men fought outside the ring, barely making back before the referee’s ten-count. Back inside the ring, Anderson connected with the Mic Check, but Angle kicked out before three, and rolled to the outside as Anderson argued with the referee about a slow count. As Angle tried to catch his breath, RANDY ORTON ran down from the back, and threw Angle head-first, into the steel ring steps! Orton jumped over the barricade, and watched as the referee counted Angle out, award Mr. Anderson with the victory! After the match, Anderson looked around in wonder as Orton slowly made his was through the crowd, who let him have it with a chorus of boos. Mr. Anderson defeated Kurt Angle by c ountout in 0:13:49.
