I've no clue how to even begin coding something like this, but the idea still appealed to me.
A plugin that evaluates:
1. The number of title holders 2. Lengths of reigns 3. Number of defenses per reign
...and spits out a percentage value, and that's the title's prestige. 0% would be the lowest, 100% would be the highest.
Thoughts?

You would have to compare it to something though right?
How would you get a 100% prestige?

I dunno, about either one.
I would assume 100% prestige would be near impossible to get. The closer you could get to it would be the goal. A title of 80% prestige would be excellent.
I suppose a newly formed title with its first holder would be either 100% prestige or 0%, and it would go down or up from there.

TEW has title prestige. I think it's also connected to how big the promotion is. The WWE World Title will always be more prestigious than the CZW World Title, no matter how lousy the WWE title is booked and how awesome the CZW World Title is.

Yeah, I've noticed that. Maybe a TNM plugin could take into account how many wrestlers are on the roster as well, since 'promotion size' isn't really a variable in TNM.

Could always have an option within the plugin to set a "level" for the circuits, or even if you want to consider it. Title defenses aren't necessarily a good method for determining prestige anyway. Unless the Hardcore Title is the most prestigious title ever, or for a less absurd example, any mainstream American title which have been defended regularly both on TV and house shows and then compare them to, say, the hey-day of the AJPW Triple Crown.

I was thinking a title with fewer champions, but with more defenses-per-champion, would have a higher prestige level than, say, the WWF Hardcore Title, which had bunches of champions but very few successful defenses.
Know what I mean?
