PCW Wrestling January 31, 2012 BancorpSouth Center - Tupelo, Mississippi Attendance: 6,720 (84%) - Max Buck makes his way to the ring, wearing a neck brace. He is accompanied by Rex Butler. Buck enters the ring, and says that he had every intention on stepping into this week, next week, and taking back the Heavyweight Title from David Hart Smith. Buck says that Smith beat him to the punch, and two weeks ago, Buck reinsured his neck. Buck says the doctors have told him that he has significant damaged to the neck and spine area. Buck says, because of the risk of paralysis, he has come out to announce his retirement from professional wrestling. Buck says that it was an honor to be apart of the PCW, and that one day, he hopes the legacy of he and his brother Jeremy’s success can encourage others to do the same. Buck says that he couldn’t have been more lucky to hold each of the titles in the PCW of two separate occasions, each. Buck says that he will forever be a fan of the PCW, and he thanks Rex Butler for the ability to come out and speak from the heart. Butler thanks Buck for his time and service to the PCW, and wishes him a safe recovery from his injuries. Butler says that, in light of the situation, he has had to make some difficult decisions concerning next week’s live show. Butler announces that, due to Buck’s unfortunate situation, he will not be challenging David Hart Smith for the Heavyweight Title. The man who will be replacing Buck next week is The Big Show. Butler says that, because of the switch to the main event, the handicap match between The Big Show and the team of David Otunga and Bryon Saxton has been called off. However, Otunga and Saxton will be in action, as they are the number one contenders for the Tag Team Titles. Butler announces that, next week, Otunga and Saxton will challenge Daniel Bryan and Jay Lethal for the titles at the live show. Butler leaves the ring, assisting Buck down the steps, and both me make their way up the aisle as the crowd gives Buck a standing ovation. Bryon Saxton vs. Jeff HardyAfter being announced as one-half of the number one contenders for the Tag Team Titles, Bryon Saxton stepped into the ring against HWL’s Jeff Hardy. Hardy was coming off a tough loss, with Steve Corino, against The All-Night Express last week, and he was looking to make up for that effort tonight. Over the last few weeks, though, Bryon Saxton has been coming into his own. Whether it’s because he’s feeling more comfortable in the ring, or because of his partnership with David Otunga, no one really knows. But, tonight, he looked focused and the crowd noticed it as well. The arena rocked with Saxton was on offense, and this seemed to build his confidence as the match went on. Hardy got in his shots, and even body slammed Saxton onto a chair, but it wasn’t enough to put him away. Bryon picked up the victory after hitting the Recommendation or the 1-2-3. Byron Saxton pinned Jeff Hardy with the Recommendation in 0:12:37. Rating: ** ¾Non Title Match Beer Money vs. © Daniel Bryan/Jay LethalThese two teams have been across the ring from each other numerous times, and have a knowledge of what their opponents will bring to their matches. The story heading into this match was whether or not Bryan and Lethal could continue to coexist after their personal difference a couple weeks ago. Tonight there was a chance for all to see if they could work as a team, now knowing who they would defend the Tag Team Titles against at the live show next week. However, Bryan did not allow that to happen, as he quickly locked James Storm into a guillotine choke, forcing Storm to submit. [Non-Title Match]: Daniel Bryan & Jay Lethal defeated Beer Money (James Storm & Robert Roode) when D. Bryan made J. Storm submit to a guillotine choke in 0:01:24. Rating: **After the match, Robert Roode looked on in shock from the ring apron, as Bryan and Lethal left the ring area with the Tag Team Titles over their shoulders. - A video is seen from “Last Week”, of Eddie Edwards confronting Steve Corino backstage. Edwards says it’s good to see Corino in the PCW. Edwards says that they are the hottest tag team in the HWL, and that they could be the greatest PCW tag team of all time. Edwards says that he wants to discuss something with Corino, and they walk away as the video comes to an end. Alex Payne vs. The Great Khali (w/Ranjin Singh)We had not seen either of these men for some time over the past couple weeks, so tonight was their chance to pick up a much-needed victory. Payne came out firing on all cylinders, using his speed and agility to get the better of the “Punjabi Giant”, knowing that even the smallest mistake could spell the end. The match went outside the ring, where Payne was able to use his surroundings to continue his attack. But, while outside, Payne’s momentary distraction by Ranjin Singh was enough to turn the tide of the match. Khali could control, whipping Payne into the guardrail and the ring steps, before rolling him back into the ring. Payne attempted to fight back, but Khali’s size and strength was too much for him. Khali connected with the Punjabi Plunge for the 1-2-3. The Great Khali defeated Alex Payne with the Punjabi Plunge in 0:21:27. Rating: -* ¼ (Wade Barrett no-showed.)Eddie Edwards/Joseph Mercury vs. © Lance Bravado/Alberto Del Rio (w/Roberto Rodriguez)The feud between these four men has been brewing for some time, as each one feels they have a claim to the Television Title. Alberto Del Rio feels that he has been screwed out of the belt, due to Eddie Edwards’ interference at the previous live show, where Edwards feels he is next in line for a title shot - and the chance to right the wrongs caused by his loss to Harlem Bravado to start the year. Joseph Mercury, the newest challenger feels that he was cheated out of a title shot, as he got himself disqualified two weeks ago. And, the champion, Lance Bravado has stood strong, facing all the challenges he could, knowing that next week he will faced Edwards and Del Rio in a Triple Threat Match for the belt. Tonight, with all four men sharing the same ring, it appeared to be too much for the referee to handle, as things started unraveling from the beginning. The crowd was into the action taking place in the ring, as an all-out brawl ensued mid-match! Once the referee restored order, Bravado and Edwards were left in the ring. The animosity between these two is well-known, and for the second time in the month of January, Edwards fell victim to a Bravado. Lance picked up the 1-2-3 with a Tiger Bomb, scoring the victory for him and Del Rio. Alberto Del Rio & Lance Bravado defeated Eddie Edwards & Joseph Mercury when Lance pinned E. Edwards with the Tiger Bomb in 0:30:25. Rating: **** ¼After the match, all four men were shown, exhausted, as the crowd cheered their efforts. The show came to a close as Bravado grabbed the TV Title and made his way to the back. PCW Live Show February 7, 2012 Neal Blaisdell Center - Honolulu, Hawaii Attendance: 5,054 (65%) Four Corners-Elimination Match: Steve Corino vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Wade Barrett vs. Alex PayneThe first match of the night pitted three newcomers to the PCW, and a veteran of the company, all looking to turn their luck around. Neither man wanted to be the first eliminated from this match. In fact, there were no eliminations during the 20-minute match. But, one that that was clearly evident was that a new rivalry might be brewing between Alex Payne and Jeff Hardy, as they continued to brawl with each other after the bell had sounded. Jeff Hardy drew Steve Corino, Wade Barrett, and Alex Payne: X time limit expired (J. Hardy and A. Payne) in 0:20:00. Rating: ** ½After the match, PCW officials came down to the ring, putting an end to the brawl inside the ring, and escorting the four men backstage. Commercial Break PCW Tag Team Title Match David Otunga/Bryon Saxton vs. © Daniel Bryan/Jay LethalThe situation between Daniel Bryan and Jay Lethal has been left on the back-burner for a couple weeks now, because the duo has been focused on retaining the PCW Tag Team Titles. For the time being, it has appeared that championship gold can hold a friendship together; but the challenge in front of them tonight was one they had not fought before. David Otunga and Bryon Saxton both had their sights set on getting an ounce of payback against The Big Show for attacking them a few weeks back. A match that would test whether or not they could face the largest athlete in the world after preparing for him or not. However, their luck changed as they were given a chance to challenge for the Tag Team Titles tonight. Both men looked eager and up for the challenge when the bell rang. Bryan and Lethal started the match off strong, taking out Otunga for a better part of the match; but somehow, Saxton was able to take over the match, clearing the ring, and giving his partner time to regain his composure. However, being undone by a single person did not sit well with either Bryan or Lethal, who came back and singled-out Saxton. Bryan put Saxton in the LeBell Lock for a total of just over two minutes, but Saxton was able to escape the hold each time! With that not working, Lethal locked in a figure-four that nearly caused Saxton to pass out, but Otunga was able to break up the submission. The match quickly went outside, where all four men began to brawl. The referee tried to get control over the match, as Saxton and Lethal re-entered the ring. Saxton connected with the Recommendation, in the center of the ring, and picked up the pinfall and the Tag Team Titles! [Tag Team Title Match]: David Otunga & Bryon Saxton defeated Daniel Bryan & Jay Lethal when B. Saxton pinned Lethal with the Recommendation in 0:25:16. Rating: **** ¼ (David Otunga & Bryon Saxton won the PCW Tag Team Titles.)After the match, the referee separates Otunga and Bryan outside the ring. Otunga slides into the ring and celebrates with Saxton, as the referee retrieves the belts. Bryan walks up the ramp, alone, keeping his back to the ring as the live show goes to commercials. Commercial Break K en Anderson vs. Harlem BravadoHarlem Bravado has been steadily climbing the ladder, hoping for a chance to challenge for the Television Title in the near future. Last month he picked up a huge payback victory over Eddie Edwards, and tonight he looked ready to continue his winning ways against Ken Anderson. Anderson, however, has been on the losing side of things as of late; and tonight would be a great way to turn things around for him – on live television. Those plans were quickly derailed as KENNY KING made his way down to the ring, smacking Anderson in the back with a steel chair, and allowing Bravado to hit the X Marks The Spot for the victory. Harlem Bravado pinned Ken Anderson with the X Marks The Spot in 0:08:43. Ken Anderson injured his left knee. He will be out approximately six (6) weeks. Rating: ***After the match, Anderson laid in the ring, holding his knee in pain. Kenny King slipped through the crowd, and Bravado walked back up the ramp, as medical personnel made their way to the ring. Anderson was helped out of the ring by a trainer, and hobbled up the ramp a James Westerfield and Alfred Pressley hoped that the injury wasn’t too serious. Commercial Break PCW Television Title Match Eddie Edwards vs. Alberto Del Rio (w/Roberto Rodriguez) vs. © Lance BravadoThe boiling pot that these three men found themselves in had been bubbling over for weeks now, and tonight the lid was pulled off, allowing things to overflow. The on-going feud between Edwards and Bravado was given a little bit of something extra with the addition of the Television Title; and former champion Del Rio was looking to get back what he felt was rightfully his. The start of this match saw Bravado taking on both Edwards and Del Rio, before finally Del Rio and Edwards were forced to face each other as well. The action was back and forth, and there weren’t as many pinfall attempts as expected, but the fans were satisfied throughout. The end of the match saw Edwards and Del Rio in the ring. Edwards ran into the ropes, only to have ROBERT RODRIGUEZ pull down the top rope, causing Edwards to crash down onto the concrete! The referee called for the bell and awarded the match to Edwards. [PCW Television Title Match]: Eddie Edwards defeated Alberto Del Rio and Lance Bravado when E. Edwards defeated Del Rio by disqualification in 0:19:35. Rating: ** ¼ (Lance Bravado retained the PCW Television Title.) [Roberto Rodriguez interfered against Eddie Edwards.]After the match, Rodriguez started stomping on Edwards as he laid on the concrete. Del Rio slid out of the ring, grabbed Rodriguez, and both of them made their way up the ramp. Bravado jumped of the apron and grabbed the Television Title. Bravado also walked up the ramp as the referee checked on Edwards at ringside. Commercial Break PCW Heavyweight Title Match The Big Show vs. © David Hart SmithFor weeks, it had been obvious that David Hart Smith had his sights set on defending the Heavyweight Title against Max Buck. But his own actions caused not only Buck’s career to come to an end, but a change to be made for the title match. Smith would have defended the belt against anyone in the PCW, but the number one contender was a man who Smith made angry, by making him tap out in their first title match. The Big Show had the same goals as everyone else: to become Heavyweight Champion. But with him being named Smith’s opponent, The Big Show now found himself looking for vengeance. He wanted to wipe away the image of himself submitting in the center of the ring. Only one thing would do that: becoming Heavyweight Champion. Smith knew what he was up against tonight, and from the get-go, he set out to wear down The Big Show with constant offense. He was able to take “The World’s Largest Athlete” off his feet, but The Big Show kept coming back. Smith’s efforts were effective at first, but Show’s ability with withstand the onslaught, and the strength and power of any move Show made, started to take their toll on the champion. The Big Show took advantage of Smith’s state, and began to take control of the match. In one final effort, Smith attempted to powerslam Show, only to have the move reversed. Show then called for – and hit – the Choke Slam for the 1-2-3, and to become the new Heavyweight Champion. [PCW Heavyweight Title Match]: The Big Show pinned David Hart Smith with the Choke Slam in 0:18:25. Rating: ** ¼ (The Big Show won the PCW Heavyweight Title.)After the match, The Big Show was awarded the Heavyweight Title. He celebrated in the center of the ring, with the crowd cheering, as the broadcast came to a close. Rating: ** ½

PCW Wrestling February 14, 2012 Honda Center – Anaheim, California Attendance: 13,911 (81%) Eddie Edwards makes his way out to the ring to start off the show. Edwards says that, even though he didn’t walk away with the Television Title around his waist, he still walked out the winner; and because of that, he should receive a title shot against Lance Bravado, one-on-one. This brings out Alberto Del Rio, accompanied by Roberto Rodriguez. Del Rio says that because the title did not change hands last week; and because the match was not on singles match, Del Rio still has a rematch clause in his contract. Del Rio says that, as the former champion, he is entitled to his rematch before anyone else faces Bravado for the title. Edwards interrupts and reminds Del Rio that it was Rodriguez that cost Del Rio the match last week; and any claim Del Rio had to a rematch was lost when the bell rang. As Del Rio goes to respond, Daniel Bryan comes out to the ring. Bryan says that the only way progress will be made within PCW, is if changes are made. Bryan says that he is a four-time Heavyweight Champion, and the former Tag Team Champion. Bryan says that he has not held a singles title in over a year, and that its time that changes. Bryan says he deserves a shot at the Television Title, based on the history of his past work. This brings out Commissioner Rex Butler to the stage. Butler says the thought of having three former champions battling for a shot at the Television Title is very intriguing; and that whoever won would be a great opponent for Lance Bravado come the March 6th live show. Butler then signs a Triple Threat, Number One Contenders Match between the three men for next week. Butler leaves the stage as the crowd roars with approval. Alex Payne & Wade Barrett vs. Kazarian & Jeff Hardy Last week, at the live event, Alex Payne, Wade Barrett and Jeff Hardy took part in an elimination Fatal Four Way match that ended in a time limit draw. Tonight, they were be in tag team action, but the PCW crowd was introduced to Kazarian, who was making his debut. Known as Kaz in the HWL, Kazarian was another member of this match known for his speed and high risk ability. He and Hardy seemed to team well with each other, having had a working past in TNA. Barrett, the “brawn” of this match, struggled early against Kazarian and Hardy; but midway through the match, his size and strength advantage took over, and he was able to take control for his team. However, with the use of numerous chairs brought in by Hardy, and double teams, Barrett succumbed, tagging in Payne. Payne quickly fell victim to a half nelson by Kazarian and tapped out. Kazarian & Jeff Hardy defeated Alex Payne & Wade Barrett when Kaz made A. Payne pass out in a half nelson choke sleeper in 0:16:14. Rating: ***A video package is shown, recapping the injury that Ken Anderson suffered to his knee last week at the live event. In a voiceover, Alfred Pressley says that Anderson is at home recovering, and that Anderson will make a statement next week. In a segment taped last week, Brooke Barlow is shown asking Kenny King about Ken Anderson's injury. King says that any injury is unfortunate in this business. An injury could mean the difference between any number of lifestyles. King says that he and Rhett Titus have grand plans for themselves, and the lifestyles they want. King says that The All-Night Express will, in due time, take over the PCW, and be the strongest force the company has ever seen. King says that the only way to ensure that is by starting at the bottom; to wean out the weak. King says that's exactly what he started doing last week. Kenny King vs. The Great Khali (w/Ranjin Singh) Kenny King came out, looking very confident, especially after hearing his words from last week. It’s difficult to have much confidence when you’re stepping into the ring against The Great Khali, as many on the PCW roster are well aware. King gave Khali a good fight, but got a little help from Rhett Titus, who came down to the ring and hit Khali in the back with a steel chair. Though, instead of giving King the advantage, the chair shot only angered Khali, as he looked to do some permanent damage to King. Before he could get his hands on King, though, Ranjin Singh tripped King from the outside, in full view of the referee! Khali was disqualified, as King rolled under the bottom rope, and joined Titus on the ramp. Kenny King defeated The Great Khali by disqualification in 0:05:21. Rating: -** ¾ [Rhett Titus interfered against The Great Khali.] [Ranjin Singh interfered against Kenny King.] A video taken after the live event, last week, shows Daniel Bryan and Jay Lethal in the locker room. Lethal apologizes to Bryan for losing the Tag Team Titles earlier in the evening. Bryan says nothing while packing up his gear. As Bryan turns to leave, Lethal stops him, and says that they can get the titles back. Lethal says he knows he and Bryan and beat David Otunga and Bryon Saxton. Bryan asks why they couldn't beat them tonight. Bryan says that he has tried to look past a number of the loses they have; but they get more and more consistent. Bryan says that he doesn't want to get back the Tag Team Titles, and if Lethal wants them, he can get them with another partner. Bryan pushes past Lethal and leaves the room. James Westerfield is joined on-stage by new Heavyweight Champion, The Big Show. James asks how it feels to be the new Heavyweight Champion. Show says that every time he has held a championship it was special; but beating David Hart Smith last week, and winning the PCW Heavyweight Title means something extra, because of the injustice Show felt he was served in the weeks leading up to their match. Show says that he rid himself of those injustices last week, by winning the Heavyweight Title, and ending Smith's reign as champion. James begins to ask Show another question, but Show is attacked from behind by James Storm. Storm chop-blocks Show's left leg, dropping the champion to the stage. Storm works over Show's leg, stomping on his knee. PCW officials rush out, pulling Storm away from Show, as Show lies in agony, holding his leg. Non-Title Match The Bravado Brothers vs. © David Otunga & Bryon Saxton The newly crowned Tag Team Champions were in action tonight against the Television Champion and his brother – a combination that, as of yet, has not tasted tag team gold in the PCW. Otunga and Saxton were cohesive as a team; and the Bravados were as well, since they had been teaming together for most of their careers. This match was fast-paced, with a number of near falls from each team. However, the mood at ringside quickly changed as THE GREAT KHALI made his way to ringside. Still upset from his earlier loss to Kenny King, Khali stalked the ringside area, as the focus of the participants turned towards the Punjabi Giant. Using the distraction, Lance tried to roll up Otunga, but Otunga kicked out before the three. Lance tagged in Harlem, and immediately fell under Khali’s attack. Khali dragged Lance off the apron and up the ramp. Harlem focused on his brother, but Otunga locked in an abdominal stretch. Harlem quickly tapped out for the victory. David Otunga & Byron Saxton defeated Harlem & Lance Bravado when D. Otunga made Harlem submit to an abdominal stretch in 0:16:12. Rating: * ½ [The Great Khali interfered against Lance Bravado.]After the match, Harlem rolled out of the ring and ran up the ramp, chasing after Khali and his brother. Otunga and Saxton celebrated their victory in the ring. Card rating: ¼*

PCW House Show February 21, 2012 MassMutual Center - Springfield, Massachusetts Attendance: 2,471 (37%) James Storm starts off the show by coming out to the ring, and is met by boos from the crowd. Storm says that everywhere he has gone, since last week, people have been begging for an explanation as to why he attacked The Big Show. Storm says that ever since Max Buck was forced to retire; and ever since The Big Show and David Hart Smith arrived in the HWL, Storm has been forgotten. Storm says that's fine. Storm says that was why he attacked The Big Show -- to remind people that Storm is still here. Storm says he was never given the credit he deserves: he was a three-time Heavyweight Champion. He was the last person to pin Max Buck for the Heavyweight Title before he was forced to leave. Storm says that he has sat back and watched both Smith and The Big Show have their time fighting over the Heavyweight Title. Storm says it's time for him to have it back. Wade Barrett vs. Jeff Hardy
Last week, these two were not a part of the finish in their tag team match, so Rex Butler decided to put them in a match tonight. Hardy started with fast-paced offense, hitting a rana right after the bell, followed by a sunset flip that only got him a 2-count. Hardy then went for a cross body block, only to have Barrett roll through the move. Barrett took over the match from that point, working over Hardy. Barrett connected with a gutbuster. Barrett hit a high knee. Barrett locked Hardy in a neck crank. Hardy reached the ropes, quickly, but Barrett hit a knee drop. Barrett whips Hardy into the ropes. Hardy reverses and attempts a dropkick, but Barrett pushes him aside. Barrett hits a vicious spinebuster slam in the center of the ring, and covers Hardy for the 1-2-3. Wade Barrett pinned Jeff Hardy after a spinebuster slam in 0:03:57. Rating: **
A video clip is shown from "last week". Brooke Barlow and Ken Anderson are seen inside Anderson's home in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Brooke asks how Anderson's knee is holding up, and how his rehabilitation is going. Anderson says that ever since coming to PCW he has experienced a string of bad luck. Anderson says that, at the beginning, he could come to terms with a losing streak. Not being used to a roster of guys will do that, he says. Anderson says that the one thing he can't wrap his mind around is that, just when he felt things might have been getting better, he suffers an injury and is out of action for six weeks. Luckily, Anderson says, there is no need for surgery. Anderson says that the knee causes him intense pain; and doing rehab work every day is similar to being tortured. Anderson says there's no way around the pain, and that he must deal with it if he intends on getting back into the ring -- which he does. Brooke then asks about the comments made by Kenny King last week regard Anderson's injury. Before he responds to the question, Anderson says that there is no one to blame for his injury; that they can happen to anyone at any time. Anderson then says that Kenny King is just some young kid who is trying to make a name for himself. Anderson says that King had nothing to do with what happened, yet he's running around saying that the weak ones need to be taken out. Anderson asks who King thinks he is, and what King has done to feel the need to get involved in something that doesn't concern him. Anderson warns King that, if King keeps running his mouth, Anderson will put his fist down his throat. Anderson then looks into the camera and implores Rex Butler to sign a match between Anderson and King for the April 3rd live show. Anderson says he's done with the interview as the video ends. Rhett Titus vs. The Great Khali (w/Ranjin Singh)
Last week, Rhett Titus interfered against Khali, allowing his partner – Kenny King – to defeat the Punjabi Giant. Khali came out tonight looking to make Titus pay or those actions. DANIEL BRYAN came out to the ring, tossing the ring bell to Khali, only to have it picked off by Titus. Titus hit Khali with the bell and made the cover for a 2-count. Titus worked over Khali, but Khali used his size and strength advantage to get back into the match. Khali overtook Titus for most of the match, wearing him down. Khali hits the Punjabi Plunge, but Titus is able to kick out just before three. Titus manages to keep fighting, getting a good reaction from the crowd. Ranjin Singh enters the ring, and tries to hit Titus with a steel chair. Titus ducks, and Singh hits Khali, knocking him to the canvas. Titus tosses Singh over the top rope. Titus goes for the cover, but Daniel Bryan enters the ring, and breaks up the pinfall. The referee calls for the bell. Rhett Titus defeated The Great Khali by disqualification in 0:25:15. Rating: -**** ¾ [Daniel Bryan interfered against Rhett Titus.] After the match, Bryan continues his assault on Titus. Kenny King comes down to the ring, making the save, as Bryan rolls out of the ring. Rex Butler appears on-stage, and announces that, due to the events that just took place, next week, The All-Night Express will face The Great Khali and Daniel Bryan in a tag team match!
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Jay Lethal. Brooke asks Jay what his thoughts are now, a couple weeks after losing the Tag Team Titles, and splitting with his former partner Daniel Bryan. Lethal says that he's taken the last couple weeks to come to terms with what has happened, but admits that it was hard to do. Lethal says that he first had to admit that he was the reason he and Bryan lost the Tag Team Titles. Lethal says that it's difficult to admit his failures, but knows what he is capable of when given the opportunity. Lethal says he has to transform back into a singles competitor now, and focus on doing what he does best. Brooke then asks Jay about Daniel Bryan's quest for the Television Title. Lethal says that Bryan is gifted and very talented inside the ring. Lethal says that if Bryan wants the Television Title, there's nothing stopping him from doing so. But, Lethal says he doesn't want to stir the pot before saying that he will not follow Bryan's path to the TV Title, because he has his own career to focus on. Lethal says he wishes Bryan all the best, but that Lethal has to do what's best for him now... and that starts tonight against Robert Roode. Robert Roode vs. Jay Lethal
Robert Roode and Jay Lethal have had many encounters with each other as members of their respective tag teams. Tonight was the rare occasion for a one-on-one match between them. It was clear, from the onset, that both men knew each other very well. Lethal started off by securing a headlock on Roode, who quickly grabbed the ropes to break the hold. Moments later, Roode fought back and locked in a reverse chinlock. Lethal fought the hold, struggling to get to the ropes, eventually breaking the hold after 35 seconds. Roode worked over Lethal, who was feeling the effects of the submission move. Lethal continued to battle back, throughout the match, hitting a knee lift in the latter stages of the match. Lethal goes for a clothesline, but Roode counters it into a crucifix for a 2-count. Roode then connects with a power bomb for another 2-count. Roode connects with the Payoff for the 1-2-3. Robert Roode pinned Jay Lethal with the Payoff in 0:14:52. Rating: *** 1/2
Television Champion Lance Bravado makes his way to the ring-side area, joining James Westerfield and Alfred Pressley at the announcer's table. Bravado grabs a microphone and stands atop the table, looking out into the crowd. Bravado says that he wants to get an up-close and personal view of the man he will be facing in two weeks. Bravado says that he has already proven he can beat Eddie Edwards and Alberto Del Rio, yet they keep wanting chance after chance. Edwards advises them to give up on their dream and accept the reality that neither one of them are as good as Bravado is. Bravado says that the only wildcard is Daniel Bryan. Bravado says that Bryan has an impressive track record -- being a multi-time Heavyweight Champion -- but says that Bravado isn't intimidated by Bryan or what he's been able to do in the ring. Bravado says even if Bryan wins tonight, there's no guarantee that he will take the TV Title away from Bravado. Bravado jumps off the table, grabs a seat at ringside, and awaits the start of the match. Number One Contenders Match Eddie Edwards vs. Alberto Del Rio (w/Roberto Rodriguez) vs. Daniel Bryan
For the past few weeks now, Eddie Edwards and Alberto Del Rio have been battling with Lance Bravado over the Television Title. Last week, Daniel Bryan threw his name into the mix as well, and Rex Butler signed this match to determine who would face Bravado for the title at the next live show. Edwards and Del Rio have become familiar with each other over that span, so throwing Bryan into the match added something new. Bryan, a former Heavyweight Champion in the PCW, had his work cut out for him, as Edwards and Del Rio took it upon themselves to take him out of the match early on. Edwards and Del Rio would tag each other in fairly quickly, making sure to keep the offense on Bryan for the majority of the match. Del Rio locked in the cross-arm breaker, but Bryan was able to reach the ropes, breaking the hold. Del Rio focused on Bryan’s shoulder, working it over, before tagging in Edwards. Bryan cut off the entrance, keeping his arm to the side. Edwards took back control with a kneelift, and continued to work over Bryan’s shoulder. Edwards locked in the Achilles lock in the center of the ring. Bryan was finally able to reach the ropes, but the damage appeared to be done. Edwards worked over the lower leg of Bryan. Bryan started making a comeback, ducking a clothesline and rolling up Edwards for a 2-count. Bryan whipped Edwards into the ropes and connected with a dropkick for another 2-count. Bryan worked over Edwards, and caught Del Rio with a right hand, knocking him off the apron. Edwards came back with a clothesline, but Bryan reversed it into the Lebell Lock. Edwards tried to reach the ropes. Bryan locked in tighter, and Edwards tapped out. [Number One Contenders Match]: Daniel Bryan defeated Eddie Edwards and Alberto Del Rio when D. Bryan made E. Edwards submit to the LeBell Lock in 0:24:13. Rating: **** After the match, Daniel Bryan rolled out of the ring and celebrated his victory. Lance Bravado stands up from the broadcast table, and the two men share words. Bryan taunts Bravado, and the two men start brawling at ringside. They battle up the ramp as Edwards and Del Rio watch from inside the ring. On the ramp, Bravado whips Bryan into the steel. Bravado stomps Bryan. THE GREAT KHALI appears from the back, grabbing Bravado by the neck. Khali hits the Punjabi Plunge onto the steel stage. Khali, Bryan, and Ranjin Singh stand over Bravado as the crowd boos.

PCW House Show February 28, 2012 Sovereign Center Arena - Reading, Pennsylvania Attendance: 6,091 (86%) James Westerfield stands in the center of the ring and introduces Lance Bravado to the ring. The Television Champion makes his way to the ring, still showing signs from the attack by The Great Khali last week. Westerfield asks if Bravado has anything he'd like to say to Khali. Bravado says that he's fully aware that he has a target on his back, simply by holding the Television Title; and that everyone thinks they have a right to attack him for what they think are "good" reasons. Bravado says that there is a clear challenger for his title, and that man is Daniel Bryan. Bravado says he knows why Khali attacked him... because he couldn't get over the fact that Bravado had defeated him weeks ago. Bravado says that Khali is nothing but an giant, insecure child, and that Bravado's not the only one Khali has pissed off. This brings out Rex Butler, who says that he understands Bravado's frustration with Khali, as well as the current situation between Khali and The All-Night Express. Butler says that he has a plan for everyone to get their aggression out before something is blown out of proportion, and possibly ruining next week's live show. Butler announces that tonight Bravado will team up with The All-Night Express to take on The Great Khali and Daniel Bryan in a Handicap Tag Match. Butler leaves the stage as Bravado stands in the ring, nodding his head. Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett vs. Beer Money (James Storm & Robert Roode)Jay Lethal has had quite the history with Beer Money in recent months, but tonight, he brought a new partner to the ring, in the hopes of defeating Storm and Roode one more time. Wade Barrett had a strong showing last week, when he defeated Jeff Hardy. Tonight, from the start, neither Storm nor Roode wanted to test the “wild card”, as they made sure to keep Barrett out of the match for as long as possible. With a lack of chemistry like he had with Daniel Bryan, Lethal quickly found himself at the mercy of the former Tag Team Champions. Roode and Storm worked over Lethal for most of the match. But, Lethal fought back, ducking a clotheslines and hitting an enzurgiri, buying enough time to tag in Barrett. Barrett cleaned house, getting the crowd on their feet. Barrett and Roode squared off. Barrett landed a stiff right hand, before sending Roode into the ropes. Roode attempted a cross body block, only to get caught in mid-air, as Barrett powerslammed him to the canvas. Storm quickly broke up the pinfall. Lethal entered the ring, and all four men brawled inside the ring as the time limit expired. Beer Money (James Storm & Robert Roode) and Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett battled to a draw in 0:20:00. Rating: ***All four men continued to battle inside the ring, as PCW officials rushed down to the ring, trying to break up the madness. The four men are finally separated, as the crowd roars in approval. ----- Alex Payne vs. Alberto Del Rio (w/Roberto Rodriguez)Alberto Del Rio, clearly upset about losing out on the chance to challenge for the Television Title, came out tonight and made very short work of Alex Payne. Del Rio dominated the youngster, before making the pinfall for the 1-2-3. Alberto Del Rio defeated Alex Payne by pinfall in 0:01:22.After the match, Del Rio continued to attack Payne. The referee tried to get in the way, but Del Rio throws him to the canvas. EDDIE EDWARDS runs in from the back, making the save. Edwards and Del Rio brawl inside the ring. Edwards clotheslines Del Rio over the top rope. Del Rio gets back to his feet, as Rodriguez joins him. Inside the ring, Edwards says that things aren’t finished between the two of them – but they will be next week at the live show. A video from earlier in the day is played, showing Brooke Barlow with Kenny King and Rhett Titus, before their Handicap Match. Brooke asks King to respond to the comments made by Ken Anderson last week. King smiles and says that Anderson has him all wrong. King says that neither he nor Titus are "punks", and King says he's offended by Anderson's name-calling. King admits that he had nothing to do with Anderson getting hurt, but he doesn't take back what he said about taking out the weak. King says that Anderson is jealous. Anderson's getting older, King says, and his body can't cope with the beating it days on a weekly basis. King says that Anderson is jealous of King's youth, and that no amount of rehab will help Anderson get back to the condition he was once in. King says that Anderson reminds him of the old man who yells at kids for walking across his lawn. Only, this time, Anderson's threatening to hit one of those kids. King says that he's standing on Anderson's doorstep, begging for the old man to hit him. King says that he, too, wants Rex Butler to sign a match for the April live show. Commissioner Rex Butler appears, cutting off King's and Titus's exit. Butler says he loves a good old-fashioned fight, when the only things hurled are childish insults. Butler tells King that he spoke with Anderson earlier tonight, and wanted to give King the same news. On April third, King will face Anderson in a Street Fight. Butler walks away, leaving King and Titus behind. Handicap Match The All-Night Express (Kenny King & Rhett Titus) & © Lance Bravado vs. Daniel Bryan & The Great Khali (w/Ranjin Singh)For the past couple weeks, The Great Khali has been making life miserable for The All-Night Express and the Television Champion, Lance Bravado. Last week, after watching Daniel Bryan be named the number-one contender for his title, Bravado was viciously attacked by Khali, which led to this match being made earlier in the evening. For a time, the match was evenly fought, as having Khali on his side was an equalizer for Bryan. King, Titus, and Bravado all took their turns working over Bryan, and keeping him as far away from his corner as possible. Bryan fought his way back, hitting a belly-to-back suplex, before making the tag to the Punjabi Giant. Khali cleared house, much to the chagrin of the crowd. Khali worked over Bravado, nearly pinned the TV Champion, but King and Titus broke up the pinfall. King and Titus took Khali and threw him over the top rope! Khali re-entered the ring at the count of 8, and once again fell under a 3-on-1 attack. Khali was able to fight his way out of the mismatch, tossing Titus and Bravado outside the ring. Khali tagged into Bryan, who quickly locked in the LeBell Lock. King was able to reach the ropes, forcing Bryan to release the hold. Bryan worked over King, before sending him into the ropes. King held onto the ropes as Bryan missed a dropkick. King went to work on Bryan, landing a DDT in the center of the ring. Titus and Bravado ran around the ring, pulling Khali off the apron as King hit the One Night Stand on Bryan for the 1-2-3. Handicap Match The All-Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King) & Lance Bravado defeated Daniel Bryan & The Great Khali when K. King pinned D. Bryan after the One Night Stand in 0:36:07. Rating: ** ¾After the match, Titus and Bravado whipped Khali into the guardrail, before joining King on the other side of the ring, where they celebrated their victory. A mixed reaction came from the crowd as the trio made their way up the aisle.----- Harlem Bravado vs. David Hart Smith“The Canadian Bulldog” David Hart Smith returned to in-ring action tonight, after losing the Heavyweight Title to The Big Show three weeks ago in Honolulu. He stepped into the ring with Harlem Bravado, who’s last match was also a lose – at the hands of the PCW Tag Team Champions. Bravado got a quick jump on Smith, using his speed to knock the former champion off his feet. All this seemed to do was further upset the Bulldog, as Smith countered a belly-to-belly suplex, before using his strength to overmatch Bravado. Harlem attempted a comeback late in the match, but it was short lived as Smith connected with a powerslam, before hitting a Saito suplex for the 1-2-3. David Hart Smith pinned Harlem Bravado with the Saito Suplex in 0:09:32. Rating: ** ½PCW Heavyweight Champion, The Big Show, comes out to the ring before tonight’s main event. Show says that he has looked back on James Storm’s claim that he was the last man to defeat Max Buck for the PCW Heavyweight Title, and Show can’t deny that. However, Show says that James walked out of a rematch the next week, getting himself counted out to ensure that he kept the title. Show reminds Storm that the week after he tucked his tail and fled, he fought Buck in a Falls-Count-Anywhere match. Storm beat Buck, Show says, in a match where anything was legal, and Storm could use anything he could get his hands on for an advantage. Show says that’s not the way a true champion should handle his business. Show says that if Storm is ready to fight – and wants to do it like a real man – then Show will give him a fight like never before, next week, with the title on the line. Non-Title Match David Otunga vs. © The Big ShowDavid Otunga – one-half of the newly crowned Tag Team Champions – squared off with a very determined “giant” in tonight’s main event. The crowd was fully behind the “World’s Largest Athlete”, but Otunga was able to shock them by holding his own against the Heavyweight Champion. Otunga stood toe-to-toe, brawling with Show, eventually forcing him throw the ropes, down to the concrete. Otunga worked over Show, and attempted to hit The Verdict outside the ring, but Show blocked it, pushing Otunga into the ring steps. Rolling Otunga back into the ring, Show went to work on Otunga’s back. Show whipped Otunga into the turnbuckle, and attempted a splash into the corner, but Otunga pulled the referee into Show’s path! Show stood back and watched as Otunga helped the referee to his feet, pleading his case, apologizing profusely, only to have the referee call for the disqualification. [Non-Title Match]: The Big Show defeated David Otunga by disqualification in 0:08:47. Rating: DUDAfter the match, Otunga continued to plead his innocence, saying that it was an accident. The referee rolled out of the ring, holding his ribs as Otunga got back to his feet, looking dejected. Otunga turned around and was caught by Show, who hit a chokeslam in the center of the ring! The crowd went crazy as Show exited the ring, and made his way up the aisle, holding the Heavyweight Title over his head. Card rating: * ½

PCW Wrestling TV March 6, 2012 BMO Harris Bank Center – Rockford, Illinois Attendance: 5,500 (55%) Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to Rockford, in Northern Illinois. Tonight, all three title belts will be on the line. It is announced that David Otunga and Byron Saxton – the PCW Tag Team Champions – still do not know the identities of their challengers, which will be revealed when the bell rings. They send things down to the ring for the night’s first match. Eddie Edwards vs. Alberto Del Rio (w/Roberto Rodriguez)These two men went at it after Del Rio’s house show match last week, with Edwards vowing that things would end tonight in Rockford. Edwards came out intent on keeping his word, but having been in the mix of the TV Title hunt for weeks, Del Rio had Edwards’s offense scouted, sending Edwards outside the ring for a five-count. Edwards came back, picking up a head of steam, as Rodriguez jumped onto the apron. Edwards punched Rodriguez off the apron, and connected with a facebuster on Del Rio for the 1-2-3. Eddie Edwards pinned Alberto Del Rio after a facebuster in 0:05:06. Rating: *** ¼After the match, Edwards picked up Del Rio and tossed him over the top rope to a tremendous cheer from the crowd. Del Rio and Rodriguez picked themselves up, and headed up the aisle, as the show went to commercials. Commercial Break PCW Tag Team Title Match Jeremy Buck & Justin Gabriel vs. © David Otunga & Byron SaxtonJeremy Buck and Justin Gabriel – two former PCW champions – returned tonight, as the surprise challengers to Otunga and Saxton’s Tag Team Titles. The high flyers used those skills – and their speed – to show the champions something they hadn’t seen since winning the titles last month. Otunga and Saxton held their own throughout the match, with Otunga hitting the Verdict on Buck, but Gabriel was there to break up the pinfall. Buck was able to fight back, and with Gabriel, hit a double belly-to-belly suplex on Otunga, before tossing him over the top rope! This gave Gabriel time to connect with the Swinging DDT and score the pin, becoming NEW Tag Team Champions! [Tag Team Title Match]: Jeremy Buck & Justin Gabriel defeated David Otunga & Byron Saxton when J. Gabriel pinned B. Saxton after the Swinging DDT in 0:07:18. Rating: ** ½ (Jeremy Buck & Justin Gabriel won the PCW Tag Team Titles.)After the match, Buck and Gabriel were awarded the Tag Team Titles. They stood on the turnbuckles, posing with the belts, as the show goes to commercials. Commercial Break A video is shown, taken last week after the house show in Reading, PA. Brooke Barlow is seen with The Great Khali and Ranjin Singh. Singh says that Kenny King and Rhett Titus should be ashamed of their actions, and that he is ashamed for them. Actually, he says, he feels sorry for them, because The Great Khali wants to challenge them to a Handicap Cage Match at the live show. Another video follows showing Brooke relying that challenge to The All-Night Express. King and Titus say they are ready for a fight, and that Khali will be the only one feeling ashamed came next Tuesday night. 2-on-1 Handicap Cage Match The All-Night Express (Kenny King & Rhett Titus) vs. The Great Khali (w/Ranjin Singh)For the past number of weeks, The Great Khali has been a thorn in the sides of King and Titus. The Express got their payback last week, throwing Khali into the guardrail at ringside, adding insult to injury after defeating Khali and Daniel Bryan. Tonight, with a steel cage surrounding them, there was only two ways to decide a winner. King and Titus used a number of quick tags and double teams to wear down Khali early on, taking every chance they could to exit the cage. But Khali would not allow the match to be won that easily. Khali evened the score, hitting a powerbomb on both King and Titus, but was unable to escape the cage in time. Khali continued to work over The Express until the numbers game caught him to him. King came from behind, chop-blocking Khali. They worked over his leg before Titus climbed up the cage and hit a frogsplash! Holding his midsection, and riving in pain, Titus called for King to leave. King made his way to the cage door, but Ranjin Singh was holding it shut. King ran into the ropes and dropkicked the cage door, sending Singh crashing into the barricade at ringside! King grabbed Titus as both men left exited the cage for the win. [2-on-1 Handicap Cage Match]: The All-Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King) defeated The Great Khali by escaping the cage in 0:10:11. Rating: ¼*After the match, King and Titus celebrated their victory on their way up the aisle. Inside the ring, Khali got back to his feet and saw Singh laying prone at ringside. Khali stared at The Express and began shaking the cage in anger as the show went to commercials. Commercial Break Backstage, just moments before his match, Daniel Bryan is shown with Brooke Barlow. Brooke asks what’s on Bryan’s mind after losing the handicap match last week. Bryan says that it’s always disappointing to lose a match, especially when your partner is The Great Khali – and he equalizes most opponents. But, Bryan says that in the bigger scheme of things, lost week’s loss doesn’t matter. He says the only thing that matters is walking out of Rockford with the Television Title; and finally getting the better of Lance Bravado. PCW Television Title Match Daniel Bryan vs. © Lance BravadoThe arena was rocking with anticipation for the second title match of the night. Lance Bravado has, as of late, taken on all challenges to the TV Title; and in recent weeks, Daniel Bryan has catapulted himself into the #1 Contender’s position. He looked poised for a victory as the bell rang, quickly taking Bravado down to the canvas. Bravado worked his way back up, catching Bryan in a headlock, wearing down the challenger. Bravado nearly got a pinfall after a suplex in the center of the ring, but Bryan kicked out. Bryan worked his way back, ducking a clothesline and hitting a DDT for a two-count. Bryan went for the LeBell Lock, but Bravado reached the ropes. Bravado quickly regained control, hitting a Russian legsweep for the 1-2-3. [Television Title Match]: Lance Bravado pinned Daniel Bryan after a Russian legsweep in 0:07:52. Rating: ** ¼ (Lance Bravado retained the PCW Television Title.)Commercial Break PCW Heavyweight Title Match James Storm vs © The Big ShowThese two men shared a battle of words leading up to this match; a match that was going to be a test for Storm, and a good test, as well, for The Big Show since winning the Heavyweight Title from David Hart Smith last month. Strong came out strong on offense, hitting a DDT for a near fall early on. Storm continued the offense, taking the fight outside the ring, where he smashed Show into the ring post. Storm worked over Show, rolling him back into the ring at the count of 7. Storm went for the Last Call, but Show blocked it with a double axhandle to the back. Show went to work on Storm, giving him very little room to breathe. Show whipped Storm into the corner, following him in with a giant splash. Show placed Storm on the top turnbuckle before hitting a superplex! Show made the cover, but somehow, Storm was able to lift a shoulder. Show got back to his feet, screamed out to the crowd, and hit the Chokeslam. Show made the cover and successfully retained his title. [PCW Heavyweight Title Match]: The Big Show pinned James Storm with the Choke Slam in 0:15:06. Rating: *** ¼ (The Big Show retained the PCW Heavyweight Title.)After the match, The Big Show stood triumphantly in the center of the ring, holding the Heavyweight Title in the air, as Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield closed the show. PCW Wrestling – House Show March 13, 2012 Wells Fargo Arena – Des Moines, Iowa Attendance: 10,930 (72%) Byron Saxton vs. Jeremy Buck Bryon Saxton took the fall for his team last week, as he and David Otunga fell to the returning Jeremy Buck and Justin Gabriel. Tonight, Saxton was tasked with regaining some footing for himself and Otunga to gain momentum heading into the title rematch, next month. Saxton put up a very solid effort from the get-go, but the time away from the ring must’ve done Buck a lot of good, as he took everything Saxton could give him, but kept fighting. Buck hit a picture-perfect 450 Splash that only got a two-count. Buck worked over Saxton, before surprising him with a jawbreaker for the 1-2-3. Jeremy Buck pinned Bryon Saxton after a jawbreaker in 0:10:16. Rating: ** ½A video taken earlier in the day shows Wade Barrett and a woman entering the locker room. Barrett introduces her as his sister, Lara, to Jay Lethal. Lara says that she’s heard about Wade’s life on the road, but wanted to see it for herself. Lethal says that Lara picked the best time, because she can see them take out Beer Money later tonight. Lethal walks away as the Barretts continue down the hallway. David Otunga vs. Eddie EdwardsThe second match of the night saw the other half of the former Tag Team Champions – David Otunga – take on Eddie Edwards, who was coming off an impressive victory over Alberto Del Rio last week. This was a back and forth match, with both men trading offense back and forth. Otunga came in with a chip on his shoulder, having lost the titles he had worked so hard to get, and connected with a back elbow, right to the bridge of Edwards’ nose, stunning him long enough to allow Otunga a pinfall and the victory. David Otunga pinned Eddie Edwards after a back elbow in 0:08:14. Rating: *** ¼In a video message taken last week, Ranjin Singh says that he and The Great Khali are putting The All-Night Express – and everyone else in the PCW – on alert. Singh says that the roster will pay the consequences for the actions taken by Rhett Titus and Kenny King. Non-Title Match Kenny King vs. © Lance BravadoBoth men came into this match having walked away with impressive victories at last week’s live show. Bravado picked up a much-needed victory over Daniel Bryan; and King, along with Rhett Titus, defeated The Great Khali in a Handicap Cage Match. Tonight, both men gave an even fight, with the champion having to hold hiown against someone who is normally known as a tag team specialist. King fought hard throughout the match, and surprised Bravado with a spinning leg lariat for the 1-2-3 in an impressive upset. [Non-Title Match]: Kenny King pinned Lance Bravado after a spinning leg lariat in 0:08:06. Rating: * ¼INTERMISSION The second half of the show starts with James Westerfield introducing PCW Heavyweight Champion, The Big Show, to the stage. Show says that James Storm is one helluva competitor. Show says that he has had back-to-back all-out fights with Storm and David Hart Smith for the Heavyweight Title. But, Show says that he has come out on top both times; and the belt has stayed in his possession. Show knows that there is more high-quality competition on the roster, and issues an open challenge for a title match at next month’s live event. This brings out Alberto Del Rio, to a roar of boos from the crowd. Del Rio tells Show that he is looking at the man who will take the Heavyweight Title away from him, and show the PCW what a true champion is. Del Rio and Show stare down each other as the camera moves to the ring. 2/3 Falls Match Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett vs. Beer Money, Inc. Last week, these two teams went the distance, battling for 20 minutes, with the match ending in a draw. So, Rex Butler signed a Best of Three Falls Match for tonight, and things started where they left off. Lethal and Barrett are still trying to come into their own as a team, and having to beat a well-organized team like Beer Money is a tall task for anyone. The new duo worked well in the early part of the match, picking up an early fall as Lethal hit Storm with a Flatliner. Lethal stayed in as the second fall started. Lethal tried to take care of the match early, but Storm and Roode had other ideas. They worked Lethal over in their corner, keeping him away from Barrett. Roode brought Lethal outside the ring whipped him strongly into the guardrail. Lethal went down holding his back, as Roode slid back into the ring. The referee counted Lethal out for the second fall, as Barrett jumped off the apron, helping his partner back to their corner. Lethal argued his case with Barrett, and started the third fall. Lethal fought through the pain, picking up a near-fall over Roode, but was overtaken as Storm blindsided him. Beer Money worked over Lethal for a moment, before Barrett entered to clear the ring. As Roode re-entered the ring, Barrett was officially tagged in. Barrett worked over Roode, before hitting the Wasteland for the final 1-2-3. [Best of Three Falls Match]: Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett beat Beer Money, Inc. (James Storm & Robert Roode) 2 falls to 1: X Lethal beat J. Storm via a Flatliner in 0:08:58. X R. Roode beat Lethal via countout in 0:13:22. X W. Barrett beat R. Roode via the Wasteland in 0:20:14. Rating: ** ½After the match, Barrett and Lethal celebrated the victory as the crowd celebrates. Barrett helps Lethal back up the aisle as James Westerfield is seen, standing by with the newly crowned Tag Team Champions, Justin Gabriel and Jeremy Buck. James Westerfield welcomes Justin Gabriel and Jeremy Buck back to the PCW, and congratulates them on winning the Tag Team Titles last week. Westerfield asks Jeremy how his brother, Max, is doing. Jeremey says that his brother is doing well, but it’s a shame that let a little neck injury stand in his way of greatness. Buck says that their dream growing up was to make a name for themselves, and that’s exactly what they’ve done in the PCW. But Jeremy isn’t done, and that’s why he came back. This time, he has a partner that will be in it for the long haul. Gabriel says that he just couldn’t sit around and watch the likes of Jay Lethal and Daniel Bryan lay claim to the Tag Team Titles. So when Buck suggested a partnership, he jumped at the chance, and it caused them to become champions. Gabriel says that they came back when there is no real threat in the Tag Team division, and he and Buck will reign for the foreseeable future. This brings out Rhett Titus and Kenny King to a mixed reaction. Titus says that he and King haven’t gotten a fair shot at the Tag Team titles yet, and, after he’s done with The Great Khali tonight, that’s exactly where his attention is going to be. King challenges Buck and Gabriel to a title match at the live event in two weeks. Rhett Titus vs. The Great Khali (w/Ranjin Singh)The All-Night Express picked up an impressive win against The Great Khali, last week, in a Handicap Cage Match. It’s a loss that neither Khali nor Ranjin Singh have been able to come to grips with, and they made note of that fact earlier tonight. They blamed Rhett Titus for the loss, and said that he would face Khali’s wrath tonight. That is exactly what happened, as Khali made very short work of Titus, putting him away with the Punjabi Plunge for the 1-2-3. The Great Khali pinned Rhett Titus with The Punjabi Plunge in 0:05:06. Rating: ¼*Harlem Bravado vs. Alberto Del Rio (w/Roberto Rodriguez)A week after coming up short in his bid to regain some momentum in his feud with Eddie Edwards, Alberto Del Rio stepped into the ring with Harlem Bravado, who sat out last week. Bravado worked over Del Rio rom the onset of the match, but the tide quickly turned as the match made its way outside. There, Roberto Rodriguez was able to distract Bravado, allowing Del Rio to take advantage of the match. Del Rio worked Bravado over, as the referee neared his ten-count, before rolling Bravado back into the ring. Del Rio whipped Bravado into the ropes, and connected with a back elbow. Del Rio quickly made the cover, grabbing a handful of tights, as the referee counted the 1-2-3. Alberto Del Rio pinned Harlem Bravado after a back elbow in 0:10:03. Rating: ** ¾Card rating: * ¾

The Great Khali (w/Ranjin Singh) pinned Wade Barrett with the Punjabi Plunge in 0:08:58. Rating: -1/4*Wade Barrett was obviously distracted by the disappearance of his sister, and he paid the price for that distraction tonight, against The Great Khali. Thanks to interference from Ranjin Singh and two Punjabi Plunges onto the concrete floor, Khali was able to pick up an easy victory. As Barrett got to his feet, with help from the referee, a video played, showing Lara Barrett, in a secluded destination. A voice tells Wade that he has Wade’s attention now. The voice says that Lara is safe, and will stay that way unless Wade decides to make things difficult. The voice says that his identity will be revealed when the time is right, but until then, Wade should watch his back. David Otunga pinned Robert Roode with the Verdict in 0:10:28. Rating: ** ¾Otunga keeps the winning streak alive with a hard-fought victory over Roode. Harlem Bravado pinned Rhett Titus with the X Marks The Spot in 0:10:26. Rating: ** ½Both men were looking to overcome loses this week after coming up short last week. Bravado landed a dropkick midway through the match, knocking Titus into the referee, rendering the official dazed. Bravado worked over Titus while the referee slowly got back to his feet. Titus attempted a comeback, whipping Bravado into the corner. But, a missed shoulder block sent Titus into the ring post, and Bravado connected with the X Marks the Spot or the victory. He prove his point convincingly, making Lethal pass out in 60 seconds! James Storm pinned David Hart Smith with the Last Call in 0:13:51. Rating: *** ¼This was a hard-fought match between two of the stronger men in the PCW. Storm tried to put “The Canadian Bulldog” away with multiple hurracaranas, but Smith was able to power out. Storm ultimately hit the Last Call, late in the match, to pick up the victory. [Tag Team Title Match]: Jeremy Buck & Justin Gabriel defeated Alberto Del Rio & Lance Bravado (w/Roberto Rodriguez) when Buck pinned Lance after a springboard splash in 0:07:41. As Del Rio and Gabriel fought outside the ring, Buck hit a springboard splash on Bravado for the 1-2-3. [Heavyweight Title Match]: The Big Show pinned Kenny King with the Choke Slam in 0:16:01. Rating: ** (The Big Show retained the PCW Heavyweight Title.) Kenny King got his first taste of championship contendership tonight, albeit against one of the largest athletes in the PCW. King held his own through this match, but The Big Show was just too much for him to handle. Show hit the Choke Slam or a successful title defense. Card rating: ** ¼

Rating: ** ¾ (Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett won the PCW Tag Team Titles.)The team of Lethal and Barrett came in tonight and shocked the Tag Team Champions with a quick victory, winning themselves the Tag Team Titles! After the match, the lights in the arena went out, and another video of Lara Barrett in a secluded destination, begging for help. When the lights come back up, Wade Barrett is shown, laid out, in the center of the ring; the PCW Tag Team Title draped over his back. Eddie Edwards defeated Harlem Bravado when Harlem Bravado passed out in the Achilles Lock in 0:13:20. Rating: ***Eddie Edwards, over the course of the last two weeks, has really shown a bigger interest in getting his opponents to tap out. This week, Harlem gave him a stiffer challenge that Edwards faced last week, but after locking in the Achilles Lock, there was nothing else that Bravado could do. Two straight submission wins for Edwards.Alberto Del Rio (w/Roberto Rodriguez) made Kenny King submit to the Flying Armbar in 0:11:03. Rating: ** ¼Kenny King came into tonight hoping to bounce back from his title challenge loss to The Big Show last week. Del Rio was hoping to do the same after coming up short in his bid for the Tag Team Titles. Del Rio was successful, locking in the Flying Armbar for the victory. [Non-Title Match]: The Big Show pinned David Hart Smith with the Choke Slam in 0:17:30. Rating: ** ¼The Heavyweight Champion and “The Canadian Bulldog” squared off tonight, in another round of their rivalry; this time without the title being on the line. That fact didn’t seem to matter as both men went at each other like it was for the gold. However, Smith was unable to get any sure advantage over the champ, as The Big Show connected with the Choke Slam for the 1-2-3. Card rating: ** ¼

PCW Wrestling April 3, 2012 Coors Events Center – Boulder, CO Attendance: 6,749 (61%) Kazarian pinned Harlem Bravado after a flying forearm in 0:03:46. Rating: *** ¼Kazarian made his singles debut tonight, trying to make a name for himself in the singles division. This quick victory over Bravado is a good way for him to keep his name in the back of peoples’ minds. Jeremy Buck & Justin Gabriel and The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli) battled to a draw in 0:20:00. Rating: ***In a shocking surprise, The Kings of Wrestling returned to PCW tonight! Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli stepped into the ring with the former Tag Team Champions. This was an action packed match, that saw the referee take a spill to the concrete at ringside, but neither team could score a victory before the 20-minute time limit hit. The two officials at ringside had to separate the two teams, and it was announced after the show, that Rex Butler has signed a two-out-of-three falls match between these two teams not next week. [PCW Television Title Match]: Mr. Ernesto Osiris pinned Lance Bravado after hitting him with the title belt in 0:08:31. Rating: ** (Mr. Ernesto Osiris won the PCW Television Title.)What a match this was! Ernesto Osiris keeps his winning streak alive in amazing fashion tonight! Lance Bravado came in looking to stop Osiris’s winning streak, and to retain the TV Title; he appeared destined to do that after raising his knees to block a frogsplash attempt by Osiris. But, having had trouble putting his opponent away, Bravado grabbed the title belt, and was set to use it. With the referee incapacitated outside the ring, Osiris ducked the shot, and connected with a low blow, causing Bravado to drop the belt. Osiris grabbed the belt, himself, and hit Bravado with it! Osiris made the cover as another referee ran to the ring, counting the 1-2-3. After the show, Bravado said that he was “screwed” out of the title, and would enacting his rematch clause next week. Eddie Edwards and Alex Payne battled to a double countout in 0:10:41. Rating: * ¾Edwards and Payne each had a strong showing in this match-up, that eventually saw them doing battle at ringside, giving the referee no choice by to count out both men. The Great Khali pinned James Storm with the Punjabi Plunge in 0:08:59. Rating: ½*After coming up short last week, due to interference from Ranjin Singh, against Robert Roode, The Great Khali came out and dominated the other half of Beer Money. No interference needed in this match as Khali connects with the Punjabi Plunge for the victory. [PCW Tag Team Title Match]: Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett defeated The All-Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King) when W. Barrett defeated R. Titus by disqualification in 0:22:23. Rating: *** (Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett retained the PCW Tag Team Titles.) [Alex Payne interfered against Wade Barrett.]The All-Night Express looked poised to end the new Champions’ winning ways after one week, but those plans were put on halt as Alex Payne appears at ringside, taunting Wade Barrett. Payne pulled down the top rope, sending Barrett crashing down to the concrete. Payne attacked Barrett, and announced – to a stunned crowd – that he was the one who had kidnapped Barrett’s sister; and that Barrett would just have to get his hands on Payne to find out where she is. Robert Roode pinned Homicide after a spinebuster slam in 0:03:42. Rating: ***In another homecoming tonight, Homicide returned to the PCW, and received a not-so-warm welcome from Robert Roode. Roode easily put Homicide away with a spinebuster slam for the 1-2-3. Cody Rhodes defeated David Hart Smith when Smith passed out in a side headlock in 0:01:41. Rating: **In a night full of returns – amongst other surprises – Cody Rhodes also returned to the PCW tonight, and caught everyone off guard with a very convincing – albeit short – win over “The Canadian Bulldog”. [PCW Heavyweight Title Match]: The Big Show pinned David Otunga with the Choke Slam in 0:10:02. Rating: ** ½ (The Big Show retained the PCW Heavyweight Title.)David Otunga got another shot at challenging for the Heavyweight Title tonight. Otunga got a number of good shots in, even busting The Big Show open during a brawl outside the ring. Seeing his own blood seemed to have enraged the champion, as Show made sure that Otunga would not walk away with his title belt. Show connected with the Choke Slam for the 1-2-3 and a successful title defense. Card rating: ** 1/4

PCW Wrestling April 10, 2012 Santa Ana Star Center – Rio Rancho, NM Attendance: 3,360 (56%) ====================================
Alex Payne defeated Harlem Bravado by disqualification in 0:10:01. Rating: *
Alex Payne stepped into the ring, a week after announcing that he was the man behind Wade Barrett’s sister’s disappearance last month. Payne looked to overcome his loss last week with a win tonight, which he did, when Harlem Bravado pushed down the referee after what he thought was a slow count. Payne attacked Bravado after the match, but quickly left the ringside area when Barrett ran down to ringside.
Kazarian pinned Rhett Titus with the Wave of the Future in 0:10:35. Rating: ***
Kazarian keeps his winning streak alive with a hard-fought victory over Rhett Titus tonight.
[PCW Tag Team Title Match]: James Storm & Eddie Edwards defeated Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett when E. Edwards defeated Lethal by countout in 0:10:13. Rating: *** ¼ (Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett retained the PCW Tag Team Titles.)
Storm and Edwards picked up the victory tonight, but due to the outcome, the titles stayed with the current champions. After the match, Storm and Edwards attacked Lethal and Barrett, all four men brawling at ringside. PCW officials rushed to the ring, trying to break up the melee. Commissioner Rex Butler appeared at the top of the aisle, telling everyone to stop or else be suspended from competition. Butler announced that, next week, the same two teams would face off in a steel cage match for the Tag Team Titles.
Homicide defeated The Great Khali by disqualification in 0:02:12. Rating: ¾* [Ranjin Singh interfered against Homicide.]
Homicide was no intimidated by Khali’s size, as he came out shooting out of the gate when the bell rang. Homicide so caught the Punjabi Giant by surprise, that Ranjin Singh tripped Homicide, causing the referee to ring the bell. After the match, Khali grabbed Homicide and hit the Punjabi Plunge, before exiting the ring.
Robert Roode pinned David Otunga after a spinebuster slam in 0:00:57. Rating: * ¾
For the second straight week, Roode has dominated his opponent in a short match, once again putting them away with a spinebuster slam.
[2/3 Falls Match]: The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli) beat Jeremy Buck & Justin Gabriel 2 falls to 0: X Hero beat Buck via countout in 0:12:00. X Castagnoli beat Buck after the KRS ONE in 0:14:19. Rating: *** ¾
Last week, Hero and Castagnoli returned to the PCW, and went the distance with the former Tag Team Champions. This weeks, things were remarkably different. Hero and Castagnoli went to work on the former champs, isolating Jeremy Buck from his partner. Buck fought his way back, as he and Hero fought outside the ring. However, a misjudged high-risk move off the turnbuckle turned into Buck smashing into the guardrail at ringside! Hero rolled into the ring as Buck was counted out for the first fall. The second fall was systematic. Hero and Buck started off. Hero tagged in Castagnoli, and caught Gabriel with a cheap shot, allowing Hero and Castagnoli to double team Buck. When the action settled, Castagnoli connected with the KRS ONE for the victory.
Titus O’Neil pinned Kenny King with the Clash of the Titus in 0:12:04. Rating: ** ½
Titus O’Neil debuted tonight with a very decisive victory over Kenny King.
[PCW Television Title Match]: Mr. Ernesto Osiris pinned Lance Bravado after a crucifix in 0:00:53. Rating: ½* (Mr. Ernesto Osiris retained the PCW Television Title.)
Lance Bravado had been eagerly awaiting this match for a week; and looked determined to do whatever it took to get the Television Title back around his waist. However, that determination backfired, allowing Osiris to catch Bravado off guard with a crucifix, for a quick and humiliating defeat. The crowd looked on, stunned, as Osiris made his way out of the ring, holding the title over his head.
[PCW Heavyweight Title Match]: The Big Show pinned Cody Rhodes with the Choke Slam in 0:10:35. Rating: *** (The Big Show retained the PCW Heavyweight Title.)
Cody Rhodes got his shot to take down The Big Show, and end his reign as Heavyweight Champion, tonight. Returning with a victory last week, Rhodes had earned the shot, but had a very tough task ahead of him. The Big Show was too much for Rhodes tonight, as he shocked everyone with an ezurgiri, midway through the match. But, the champ put Rhodes away with the Choke Slam for another successful title defense.

Eddie Edwards and Lance Bravado battled to a doble-countout in 0:10:00. Rating: * ½
These two men are not strangers to each other, as their rivalry over the Television Title could go down as one of the best feuds in the history of the PCW. There was no love lost as they re-entered the ring against each other, as the match spilled to the concrete, where both men were counted out.
Rhett Titus pinned Harlem Bravado after a frog splash in 0:00:42. Rating: *
Harlem Bravado came up short for the second week in a row; this time in less than one minute!
Alex Payne pinned Justin Gabriel after a fisherman suplex in 0:06:17. Rating: ** ¼
Alex Payne kept his winning streak going tonight, with an impressive victory over the returning Gabriel. After the match, Wade Barrett once again made his way to ringside; and once again Payne was able to escape the clutches of Barrett’s wrath. Barrett grabbed a microphone and said that, next week, Payne will have nowhere to hide.
[Tag Team Title Match]: Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett defeated The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli) when Lethal pinned Castagnoli after a gutwrench suplex in 0:21:11. Rating: *** ¼ (Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett retained the PCW Tag Team Titles.)
Jay Lethal and Wade Barrett continue their winning ways with a very impressive – and exciting – victory over The Kings of Wrestling. There is a lot of history between Jay Lethal and Claudio Castagnoli, as together, they are known as the most successful tag team in PCW history. So it went without saying that they knew each other very well coming into this match. And, in a sign of karma, Lethal picked up the victory over his former partner to retain the belts. After the match, James Storm and Eddie Edwards came to the stage and demanded to know why their scheduled rematch for the titles did not happen. They say that Lethal and Barrett are “running scared”, and that they don’t want to put the belts up inside a steel cage. Lethal and Barrett say that the match will happen next week, and that Storm and Edwards wouldn’t be as lucky as before.
The Great Khali (w/Ranjin Singh) defeated James Storm by countout in 0:18:39. Rating: -1/2* (Ranjin Singh interfered against James Storm.)
The Great Khali was handed this hand-fought victory thanks to outside interference – and a low blow – from Ranjin Singh, causing Storm to be incapable of entering the ring before getting counted out.
Cody Rhodes pinned Jeremy Buck with the Cross Rhodes in 0:10:07. Rating: ** ½
So far, the only blemish on Rhodes’s record is his loss last week against The Big Show for the Heavyweight Title. Tonight, the second-generation superstar appeared ready to get back on track to challenge for the title again in the near future.
Kenny King pinned David Otunga with the Coronation in 0:13:30. Rating: * ¼
Minus a few moments being on defense, Kenny King came out and dominated David Otunga throughout this match. Otunga did all he could to make this a competitive match, but in the end, King picked up the victory.
[PCW Television Title Match]: Mr. Ernesto Osiris defeated Kazarian by disqualification in 0:09:02. Rating: ** ¾ (Mr. Ernesto Osiris retained the PCW Television Title.)
The undefeated streak continues for the Television Champion as Osiris retains the title due to disqualification. In a desperate attempt to gain advantage during the match, Kazarian chose not to release a choke hold, getting himself DQ’d and losing a chance at winning gold in the PCW. After the match, Kazarian was visibly frustrated, as he was restrained by the referee, while Osiris collected his bearings and walked away with the title.
[Triple Threat Match for the Heavyweight Title]: The Big Show defeated Titus O’Neil and Robert Roode: X Show beat T. O’Neil via the Choke Slam in 0:23:38. X Show beat R. Roode via the Choke Slam in 0:32:12. Rating: ** ¾ (The Big Show retained the PCW Heavyweight Title.)
The challenges for The Big Show just keep getting tougher; but the World’s Largest Athlete keeps rising to the occasion, as he did here tonight. O’Neil and Roode, both hungry for championship gold, had one goal in mind: eliminate the champion. Even with a similar mindset, they were unable to do so, and Show fought his way through double teams and any attempt to take him out. In a grueling 30-minute match, the Choke Slam ended the night – and any hopes of title glory – for both men.

Match Observations: The non-title tag team match absolutely stole the show tonight, as former champions Jeremy Buck and Justin Gabriel nearly earned themselves a shot at regaining the belts with a win tonight; however, James Storm and Eddie Edwards pulled out a victory in the end.
Luke Gallows and Titus O’Neil’s match ended with a double-countout that needed PCW officials to run down to ringside to separate the two. Commissioner Rex Butler has announced that, next week, Gallows and O’Neil will face off in a No-Countouts Match next week from Puerto Rico!
Butler also made a decision on the ending of the show tonight, between The Great Khali and Heavyweight Champion The Big Show: they will face off again, next week, with the #1 Contender acting as special referee!
Jack Swagger made his debut in the PCW tonight, and brought along his personal mascot, the Swagger Soaring Eagle. It didn’t take long for the Real American American to get under the crowd’s skin, as his “mascot” interfered against David Otunga.
Chris Hero returned to singles action tonight with a very, very impressive victory over Kazarian… in 24 seconds!

Match Observations: Alex Payne picked up an impressive victory this week, beating Harlem Bravado in under a minute!
Because of the match between Kazarian and Rhett Titus ending in a double countout, Commissioner Rex Butler has signed a falls-count-anywhere rematch, between the two, to take place next week.
We have NEW Tag Team Champions, as The Kings of Wrestling, for the time being are kings of the PCW tag team division. Hero and Castagnoli picked up a very hard-earned victory over Storm and Edwards to win the belts.
For the second week in a row, the Swagger Soaring Eagle has saved his “owner” from losing by pinfall. Questions are starting to arise whether or not Commissioner Butler will allow the Eagle to continue escorting Swagger to ringside…
And, due to the Heavyweight Title Match ending in a draw tonight, leaving the Puerto Rican fans demanding a winner, Commissioner Butler has signed a STEEL CAGE match between The Big Show and The Great Khali for next week’s show, stating that there will be no time limit… and there must be a winner!

Card Observations: After months of discussions between Commissioner Rex Butler and HWL/PCW Owner Peter Bradshaw, tonight saw the debut of six possible Vixens-in-the-making. They were joined by current Vixen Tiffany and the HWL Women's Champion, Nikki Bella, to round out a eight-woman tournament that will crown the first-ever PCW Women's Champion in two weeks. It was a shock to see Nikki fall in the first round, but her opponent knew her very well from their shared past in the WWE. The lessen-known independent star, Leva Bates, picked up an impressive victory over Tamina to advance to the second round.
Also tonight, we saw the quarterfinals of the Television Title Tournament, which was being held due to the leaving - and forfeiting - of the TV Title by Ernesto Osiris, who went an impressive 8-0 during his time in the PCW, never losing the title once.
After seeing Shane Hagadorn's interference keep the Tag Team Titles on his charges, Rex Butler has announced that next week, Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett would get a fair rematch, this time with Shane Hagadorn banned from ringside! With the issues that have arisen between Hero and Castagnoli on the main roster as of late, it'll be interesting to see how they can coexist without Hagadorn leading the way.

PCW Wrestling May 22, 2012 Joe Louis Arena – Detroit, Michigan Attendance: 6,421 (32%)
Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to Detroit, where tonight, the semifinal matches in the Women’s Title tournament will take place. Also tonight, The Kings of Wrestling defend the PCW Tag Team Titles against Jay Lethal and Wade Barrett, in a match where Shane Hagadorn is banned from ringside. And, finally, Justin Gabriel and Eddie Edwards will compete in the final match for the vacant Television Title.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is with Leva Bates. Bates says that she knows a lot of people don’t know who she is, and are wondering where she came from. She says that the PCW fans will get to know her in due time. She says that last week was amazing, and picking up a victory over a second generation athlete like Tamina gave her the confidence she needs for tonight. She says that Beth Phoenix is one of the toughest women in the business, but Bates believes she can come out on top tonight.
Kelly Kelly vs. Taylor Wilde
Taylor Wilde got off to a good start tonight, using her skills to overmatch the less-tenured Kelly Kelly. Wilde caught Kelly in a headlock, and was able to keep her away from the ropes; but Kelly fought her way out, and was able to release the hold. Kelly came back, hitting a springboard cross body for a two count. The match went outside, where Kelly attempted a suplex, but Taylor pushed her into the ringsteps. Taylor connected with a powerslam to the mat, before rolling Kelly back into the ring. Taylor connected with a fireman’s carry, and a flying dropkick, for two-count. Wilde then hit a handspring elbow, and covered Kelly for the 1-2-3.
Taylor Wilde pinned Kelly Kelly after a handspring elbow in 6:14. Rating: ½*
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow is backstage with the victorious Taylor Wilde. Brooke asks who Taylor would like to face, next week, in the tournament finale: Beth Phoenix or Leva Bates. Taylor says who her opponent is doesn’t really matter, because her goal is to walk out next week as Women’s Champion.
Beth Phoenix vs. Leva Bates
Leva Bates looked impressive last week against Tamina, but Beth Phoenix came out swinging, aggressively proving the point that she would not go down without a fight. Phoenix took the fight outside, clotheslining Bates over the top rope. Phoenix rammed Bates’s back into the ring apron, before pushing her back into the ring. Phoenix worked over the lower back, but Bates was able to sustain a comeback, getting cheers from the crowd. It was short lived, as Phoenix, once again, attacked the back. Phoenix hit the Glam Slam for the victory.
Beth Phoenix pinned Leva Bates with the Glam Slam in 8:08. Rating: -3/4*
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow asks Shane Hagadorn how Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli will coexist at ringside with him being banned from the match. Hagadorn says that Hero and Castagnoli are the “kings of wrestling” for a reason. They’re professionals. And champions above all else. Hagadorn says they will know exactly what to do.
A vignette is shown, of Justin Gabriel saying he is prepared to become a three-time Television Champion, tonight.
PCW Tag Team Title Match Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett vs. © Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli
The anticipation was rising inside the arena, as Lethal and Barrett made their way to the ring. Something was noticeably different as the champions were introduced, the absence of Shane Hagadorn clearly having an impact on the cohesiveness of Hero and Castagnoli. Lethal and Barrett, without the threat of outside interference or disqualification, were able to focus on getting back the Tag Team Titles. They were locked on their goal, and throughout the match, it was clear that nothing was going to stop them. And, despite their differences, Hero and Castagnoli worked well, showing the fans that their duty as champions could come before any personal differences… or, so they’d have you believe. With Hero in the ring, he reached out to tag Castagnoli, only to watch as he dropped off the apron and started walking down the aisle. Hero slid out of the ring and grabbed Castagnoli. The two of them shared words, before Castagnoli pushed Hero. Hero pushed back, and got rocked by a right hand! Castagnoli whipped Hero into the guardrail, and connected with a vicious European uppercut. Castagnoli rolled Hero into the ring, before the count of 10, as Barrett stood, startled, in the corner. As Hero got to his feet, Barrett connected with the Wasteland for the 1-2-3.
After the match, the camera showed Castagnoli, smiling in the middle of the aisle, as Barrett and Lethal were awarded the Tag Team Titles.
[PCW Tag Team Title Match]: Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett defeated The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli) when Barrett pinned Hero with the Wasteland in 7:52. Rating: *** ¾ (Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett won the PCW Tag Team Titles.)
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, a vignette is shown, of Eddie Edwards discussing his many chances at the Television Title. Tonight, he gets one last shot.
Backstage, the cameras catch Shane Hagadorn and Claudio Castagnoli exiting the arena, and getting into a parked car. The car pulls away.
PCW Television Title Match Justin Gabriel vs. Eddie Edwards
The Television Title sat atop a pedestal, just off to the side of the announce table, as the match began. Both men had been in this position before – fighting for the chance to call himself “champion”. However, Gabriel had tasted victory in the past, whereas Edwards always wound up drawing the short end of the stick. Edwards came out, determined to change his fate, and looked very impressive, catching Gabriel’s Asai moonsault attempt and hitting a Tombstone for a two-count. The mishap took Gabriel off his game at the beginning of the match, but as a former champion, he knew he needed to pull himself up and fight back. Gabriel turned the tide, taking control of the match, after inflicting damage outside the ring. Gabriel was successful with his second Asai moonsault attempt, as it led to him hitting a 450 Splash from the top rope for the 1-2-3.
After the match, PCW Commissioner Rex Butler awarded the now three-time Television Champion his title belt. Gabriel celebrated his victory as the show went off the air.

Commissioner Rex Butler comes out to the ring to open the show. Butler says that he has been brain-storming some ideas, over the past few weeks, that he thinks would shake up the world of wrestling. Butler says he wants the PCW to break ground – do things that others wouldn’t think of doing. Butler says they’re already doing that, by having two women step into the ring – with a title on the line – in tonight’s main event. But, Butler says he has big plans for next week’s two-hour event; and they all concern the PCW Heavyweight Championship. Butler says that, next week, six men will be competing for the chance to face The Big Show for the title. There will be three qualifying matches to start off the show, followed by a Triple Threat Match to determine the new number one contender. Butler announces the matches for next week: Chris Hero vs. David Otunga; Claudio Castagnoli vs. James Storm; and Cody Rhodes vs. Kenny King. Butler thanks the fans and leaves the ring.
Number One Contenders’ Match Kelly Kelly vs. Leva Bates
Even though both Vixens came up short a week ago, in their bids to take part in the Women’s Title Match tonight, they were given a chance to challenge the winner, next week, during the two-hour special. Leva Bates came out firing on all cylinders, and picked up a very quick victory after hitting a Yakuza kick for the 1-2-3.
After the match, Leva celebrates in the ring, as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, a vignette is shown of the The Bravado Brothers announcing that they are ready to become the next PCW Tag Team Champions.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow asks Chris Hero about the possibility of facing Claudio Castagnoli next week during the two-hour special. Hero pauses for a moment, before saying that he had warned Claudio, for weeks, not to be brainwashed by that scheming liar, Shane Hagadorn. But, because he didn’t listen – and because he caused them to lose the Tag Team Titles last week – Hero says he’d give up everything he owned to have Castagnoli in the ring next week.
Number One Contenders Match The Bravado Brothers vs. Beer Money
The Bravado Brothers have been out of the Tag Team Title picture for little while, as Lance found himself in the middle of a heated battle for the Television Title. But now, with the Tag Team division turning into a shell of what it used to be, they joined back together to take on Beer Money – multi-time champions in their own right. In what many are calling an upset, The Bravados picked up the win after Harlem hit the “X Marks the Spot” on Robert Roode.
The Bravado Brothers (Harlem & Lance) defeated Beer Money, Inc. (James Storm & Robert Roode) when Harlem pinned R. Roode with the X Marks The Spot in 5:51. Rating: *** ¼
After the match, Harlem and Lance celebrated in the center of the ring, it’s announced that they will face Jay Lethal and Wade Barrett, for the title, next week.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow asks Taylor Wilde how she feels to be challenging for the Women’s Title later tonight. Wilde says she came out of retirement when Rex Butler and Peter Bradshaw called to offer her a spot in the tournament. Wilde says she jumped at the chance to become the PCW’s first-ever Women’s Champion.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, a vignette from earlier in the day is shown of Alex Payne. Payne says that he has been waiting for his chance to prove to everyone that he is capable of being a champion in the PCW. With Rex Butler adding him to the Television Title Number One Contenders’ Match, it shows that Butler has been paying attention to what Payne can do inside the ring.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is with Beth Phoenix. Phoenix says she has made a name for herself in wrestling over the years. She says she has dominated women’s wrestling all over the world. Phoenix says that winning the Women’s Title tonight would just be another box to check, and another highlight to add to her list of accomplishments.
Television Title Number One Contenders’ Match Alex Payne vs. Rhett Titus
Based on his comments from earlier in the day, Alex Payne had a plan to become the new Number One Contender for the Television Title. Those plans seemed to have changed when Rhett Titus came down to the ring instead of Jeremy Buck, who was Payne’s scheduled opponent. Whatever game plan Payne had fell to the wayside as his survival instincts kicked in. Payne’s new tactics worked at the beginning, but Titus was able to slow the match down – much more to his liking – and take control. Titus connected with a double underhook suplex for the victory, to become the new challenger for the Television Title!
Rhett Titus pinned Alex Payne after a double underhook suplex in 5:05. Rating: **
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Claudio Castagnoli and Shane Hagadorn. Hagadorn says that there isn’t a man that Rex Butler named that has what it takes to beat Claudio, now that he’s unwilling to be held down any longer. Hagadorn says that, all Claudio needed, was a tutor – someone to point him in the right direction, and give him the tools he needed to succeed. He says that person was not Chris Hero. And, speaking of Chris Hero, Hagadorn says that Hero can give up everything he owns in the hopes of stepping into the ring with Claudio next week. But, if he does so, when the match his over, Chris Hero will be penniless, begging for scraps, and can watch Claudio become the new PCW Heavyweight Champion from his cot in a homeless shelter.
Commercial Break
Match for Vacant Women’s Title Taylor Wilde vs. Beth Phoenix
The culmination of the two-week tournament, to crown the first-ever PCW Women’s Champion, took place in the first all-female main even in the company’s history tonight. Taylor Wilde and Beth Phoenix fought their way to this point, all for the chance to be the leader of a new women’s division, and to say that they were the absolute best. Both women have a history of championship gold in the industry, and they held nothing back in this match. Taylor started off the match with a flurry of offense, but Beth took control after catching Taylor off guard with a DDT. The match went outside the ring to occasions, as each woman was trying to use the ringside area to their advantage; ultimately, Beth was able to do so, rolling Taylor into the ring after whipping her into the guardrail. Beth continued to work over Taylor, before hitting the Glam Slam for the 1-2-3.
[Match for vacant PCW Women’s Title]: Beth Phoenix pinned Taylor Wilde with the Glam Slam in 11:56. Rating: * (Beth Phoenix won the PCW’s Women’s Title.)
After the match, Beth is awarded the Title, as the announcers give her praise. Beth falls to her knees, clutching the title belt to her chest, and tears can be seen on her cheeks. Beth gets to her feet, and sees Leva Bates making her way down to the ring, smiling and applauding. Beth quickly wipes away the tears, bracing for a fight, as Bates enters the ring and stands across from Beth. Leva extends her hand, and offers congratulations to Beth for her victory. Reluctantly, Beth shakes Leva’s hand. Leva leaves the ring, heading back up the aisle, and the show goes off the air, showing Beth in the center of the ring.

PCW Special Event June 5, 2012 Tampa Bay Times Forum – Tampa, Florida Attendance: 11,262 (57%)
Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to Tampa, for tonight’s two-hour Special Event, where tonight six men will compete for the chance to be called Number One Contender; and to challenge The Big Show for the PCW Heavyweight Title next month. Also, tonight, the newly christened Women’s Title; the Tag Team Titles; and the Television Title will all be on the line. Alfred sends things to the ring for the first qualifying match.
Number One Contender Qualifying Match Cody Rhodes vs. Kenny King
The night started off with the first of three qualifying matches, with the winner moving on to the main event for a chance to become number one contender, and earn a Heavyweight Title match. That was apparently all the motivation Kenny King has needed since being named one of the six participants. Rhodes tried to come back at various times throughout the match, but King was too dominate to overcome. King put away Rhodes with a spinning heel kick to advance.
[Qualifying Match]: Kenny King pinned Cody Rhodes after a spinning heel kick in 8:16. Rating: ** ¾
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Taylor Wilde. Taylor says that last week was bittersweet. Over the past few weeks, she has been able to feel the surge of adrenaline when she won matches, advancing to the Women’s Title match last week. But she also experienced what it’s like to get so close, yet have the prize just out of reach. Taylor says that she is happy that Beth Phoenix is the PCW Women’s Champion, saying that no one else deserves it. She says that last week showed her that, even though she got to the final round, she might no longer have what it takes to be a champion in this business. Taylor then announces that her match against Tiffany will be her farewell match, and that she will be returning to retirement after the show. Taylor walks off as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
Tiffany vs. Taylor Wilde
Taylor Wilde was given a huge ovation from the Tampa crowd, just moments after announcing that this would be her final match. When the bell rang, however, Taylor quickly found herself on the defensive, as Tiffany came out looking to fight. Tiffany certainly wanted to give Taylor a loss on her way out the door, but Taylor was one match away from winning the Women’s Title for a reason. Being the veteran that she is, Taylor bided her time, allowing for Tiffany to make a mistake. When that happened, Taylor took her opportunity. Taylor hit the Wilde Ride for her last victory in PCW.
Taylor Wilde pinned Tiffany with the Wilde Ride in 6:27. Rating: -**
After the match, Taylor gets to her feet and celebrates the victory, as once again, the crowd gives her a standing ovation. She waits for the referee to assist Tiffany to her feed before offering her hand. Tiffany takes her hand, and the two women hug, before Taylor exits.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Chris Hero. Brooke asks Hero about the comments made by Shane Hagadorn last week, and if Hero would like to respond. Hero says that he can remember the days when Shane Hagadorn would use his ability with words to make people believe that he was God’s gift to wrestlers. He says that he would say whatever he needed to get people to follow him or hate him. Hagadorn did it with Hero. And he’s doing it now with Claudio. Hero says that Claudio is believing Hagadorn’s lies. Hero says that Hagadorn’s mind games are working so well, it caused the Tag Team Champions to divide and lose their titles. Hero says that he would go broke to face Claudio later tonight, with no question. He asks whether or not Claudio would say the same thing. Before walking away, Hero asks Claudio what happens to him if he loses tonight.
Commercial Break
#1 Contenders Qualifying Match David Otunga vs. Chris Hero
Chris Hero has had redemption on his mind for the past two weeks, ever since his former tag team partner, Claudio Castagnoli, turned his back on their partnership, costing them the Tag Team Titles. Frustration has set in over the following weeks, and Otunga used that to his advantage once this match got underway. Otunga took control of the match, but found it difficult to put away Hero. This caused Otunga to pull out all the stops as Hero began to make a comeback late in the match; pulling the referee in front of a clothesline attempt! With the referee down, Otunga and Hero took things outside the ring, where Hero whipped Otunga into the ring apron and guardrail, before hitting the Hero’s Welcome on the concrete floor! Hero rolled Otunga into the ring, as a new referee ran down from backstage. For good measure, Hero hit a second Hero’s Welcome before making the cover for the 1-2-3.
[#1 Contenders Qualifying Match]: Chris Hero pinned David Otunga with the Hero’s Welcome in 8:05. Rating: *** ¾
Backstage, Claudio Castagnoli and Shane Hagadorn are seen watching Chris Hero’s celebration on a monitor. Claudio tells Brooke Barlow that Hero should be happy with his win, no matter how cheap it was. Hagadorn adds that the only reason Hero was able to win was because of Otunga’s bad decision to use the referee as a shield. Hagadorn promises that, after Claudio defeats James Storm, he won’t be running from Chris Hero.
Commercial Break
#1 Contenders Qualifying Match James Storm vs. Claudio Castagnoli (w/Shane Hagadorn)
Claudio Castagnoli has gained a very egotistical attitude since aligning himself with Shane Hagadorn a number of weeks ago. The backstabbing of Chris Hero, and the placement in the hunt for a Heavyweight Title shot, have only strengthened that attitude. Tonight, though, Castagnoli was nearly brought back to reality by James Storm. Storm, who is searching for another run as a singles champion, would’ve been in a great position with a victory tonight. Storm controlled a good portion of this match, needing to hit a number of “big-time” moves to weaken his opponent. However, as has been seen in the past, having Hagadorn at ringside seems to work in his charges’ favor. Hagadorn jumped onto the apron, distracting the referee, as Claudio was able to connect with a low blow. Hagadorn jumped off the apron just in time to watch Claudio hit the Ricola Bomb for the 1-2-3.
[#1 Contenders Qualifying Match]: Claudio Castagnoli pinned James Storm with the Ricola Bomb in 8:08. Rating: *** ¼
Backstage, Rhett Titus is seen preparing for his up-coming match, when Kenny King comes up and slaps him on the back. King says that they are both in a great position tonight, and could both be singles champions by next month. King tells Titus that he’ll be the first one to congratulate him when he walks backstage with the TV Title tonight. King walks off as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
PCW Television Title Match Rhett Titus vs. © Justin Gabriel
Rhett Titus picked up a victory over Alex Payne last week, in the place of Jeremy Buck last week, to earn his title shot tonight. Gabriel, who has held the belt on two other occasions, knows what it’s like to defend the belt on the big stage; and he was prepared for another such defense. This match with back and forth, and the crowd was beginning to brace for a possible upset, when JEREMEY BUCK came down to ringside, attacking Titus as he went for a cover. The referee called for the bell as Buck continued to lay into Titus.
[PCW Television Title Match]: Rhett Titus defeated Justin Gabriel by disqualification in 6:30. Rating: ** ¼ (Justin Gabriel retained the PCW Television Title.) [Jeremey Buck interfered against Rhett Titus.]
After the match, Buck grabbed a microphone and said that he said that he never lost his shot at the Television Title. He said that Titus took the spot, and that Buck was coming back to claim it. Buck challenged Gabriel to a TV Title match, next week, before storming out of the ring.
Dressed in her ring gear, holding the Women’s Title over her shoulder, Beth Phoenix is seen backstage with Brooke Barlow. Brooke asks what went through Beth’s mind after winning the title last week. Beth says that, even if it’s not her first title victory, the feeling is still one of the best… knowing that you’re the best and being rewarded for it. She says those feelings changed when Leva Bates showed up, offering congratulations. Beth says she doesn’t get freaked out too easily, but that was a weird moment. Brooke asks if Beth thinks Leva’s tactics were to play mind games, and Beth says that it’s possible. But she’s had a week to compose herself, and get used to being called champion again. Beth says no amount of mind games will keep her from successfully defending the title tonight.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Heavyweight Champion The Big Show is seen with Brooke Barlow. Brooke asks if Show is ready to find out who he will defend the title against at next month’s special event. Show says that Peter Bradshaw came up with an ingenious way of filtering out who deserves a chance and who doesn’t. Show says that all three men have proven that they deserve a shot, so it doesn’t matter who wins. He says that he will be at ringside, to get an up-close and personal look at his competition.
[PCW Women’s Title Match]: Leva Bates vs. © Beth Phoenix
Tonight was the night that Leva Bates got recognized for the success she’s had over the past few weeks. Tonight was also the fight title defense in Beth Phoenix’s reign as newly crowned Women’s Champion. Bates has shown that she can mix it up with varying styles; and tonight she tried to keep Beth on the canvas, staying away from the champ’s power. Beth struggled with this game plan – and at times it looked like it was getting the best of her. But, having earned the title, she had to overcome adversity before. She did so again, tonight, hitting the Glam Slam for the 1-2-3.
[PCW Women’s Title Match]: Beth Phoenix pinned Leva Bates with the Glam Slam in 6:04. Rating: ½* (Beth Phoenix retained the PCW Women’s Title.)
The Bravado Brothers are seen, backstage, hyping themselves up for their title match in just a few moments. Brooke Barlow asks what has them so excited, and Lance says that tonight is the night they prove to everyone that they are worthy of being called champions together. Harlem says brothers make the best teams… and the best champions. They walk off, towards the ring, as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
PCW Tag Team Title Match The Bravado Brothers vs. © Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett
Lance and Harlem came out to the ring, still very eager and excited get their chance against the Tag Team Champions. Jay Lethal and Wade Barrett continued to fend off questions on the legitimacy of their title win two weeks ago, but came into tonight determined to put an end to peoples’ discrediting. The Bravados looked strong throughout this match, obviously giving the champions more than they bargained for. The magnitude of the match clearly helped propel the challengers to raise their games; but so did the champions in response. No matter what was thrown at them, Lethal and Barrett fought back. An impressive match was ended when Barrett hit the Wasteland on Harlem for the 1-2-3.
[PCW Tag Team Title Match]: Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett defeated The Bravado Brothers (Harlem & Lance) when Barrett pinned Harlem with the Wasteland in 10:07. Rating: ** (Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett retained the PCW Tag Team Titles.)
After the match, Lethal and Barrett celebrated in the ring, with their titles, as Lance rolled Harlem out of the ring. The Bravados made their way up the ramp as the show went to commercials.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, the ring announcer introduces The Big Show, and he walks out to ringside with the Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. Alfred and James welcome Show to the broadcast table. Show says he’s ready to see who wants a shot at him bad enough.
#1 Contenders’ Triple Threat Match Kenny King vs. Chris Hero vs. Claudio Castagnoli (w/Shane Hagadorn)
After the night that had taken place, the stage was set to see who would have the remaining energy or fortitude to earn a spot in the Heavyweight Title match next month. The Big Show watched from ringside as King and Hero were announced; but everyone in attendance was stunned when Peter Bradshaw came out to the stage and announced that Claudio Castagnoli had been found unconscious, backstage. Bradshaw then introduced DAVID OTUNGA as Castagnoli’s replacement – the man Hero defeated earlier in the night!
It was obvious that King and Hero were surprised by the events of the evening, because neither of them appeared to find their footing in the early part of the match. Otunga, the clear beneficiary of what happened, took advantage of his opponents’ shock, and quickly took control of the match. Josh, Scott, and Show discussed the possible reasons why Castagnoli may’ve been targeted, and the possible suspects behind the attack. Hero came out of nowhere to hit the Hero’s Welcome on Kenny King, but Otunga broke the pin up at two. Otunga and Hero went after each other – continuing their fight from earlier – as SHANE HAGADORN made his way to ringside, pointing and screaming at Hero. Distracted, Hero got into a shouting match with Hagadorn. Hero turned to get back into the match, and was tripped by Hagadorn, behind the referee’s back. Hero slipped out of the ring, chasing after Hagadorn, as Hero and King fought in the ring. King was still feeling the effects of the Hero’s Welcome, and Otunga wasted no time in hitting the Verdict for a shocking 1-2-3!
[#1 Contenders’ Triple Threat Match]: David Otunga defeated Kenny King and Chris Hero when D. Otunga pinned K. King with the Verdict in 14:11. Rating: *** ½ (Claudio Castagnoli no-showed.) [Shane Hagadorn interfered against Chris Hero.]
After the match, Otunga quickly rolled out of the ring, celebrating his victory. He made his way up the ramp as, from ringside, The Big Show stood and raised the Heavyweight Title in the air. The show goes off the air with both men staring across the arena.

PCW Wrestling June 12, 2012 Jobing.com Arena – Glendale, AZ Attendance: 6,480 (36%)
Screenshots from last week’s Special Event are shown. The camera goes inside the arena, where James Westerfield welcomes everyone to Glendale. He is joined by Alfred Pressley. Tonight, Titus O’Neil takes on Jack Swagger; and the Tag Team Champions will be in non-title action.
Claudio Castagnoli and Shane Hagadorn make their way down to the ring, getting showered with boos as they walk down the ramp. Inside the ring, Hagadorn tells the crowd to shut up, because the man who should be the number one contender is about to speak. Castagnoli takes the microphone and says that there’s a conspiracy against him. The people in charge of the PCW don’t want him to step into the ring against The Big Show, because he’s the only one in the PCW that can beat him. Claudio says there’s no explanation anyone can give him that will make it acceptable for him to have not been in the Triple Threat Match last week. He says he has a suspicion of who’s behind it, and that he’s going to find him if it takes all night. Claudio’s music hits again, as he and Hagadorn leave the ring, and the camera goes backstage.
Backstage, Commissioner Rex Butler approaches Television Champion Justin Gabriel. Butler says that, due to what took place last week – and Jeremy Buck’s in ability to take part in his scheduled match – Gabriel will be defending the title against Buck in tonight’s main event.
Commercial Break
A recap of Jay Lethal and Wade Barrett’s title defense from the Special Event is shown.
Non-Title Match Kazarian & Luke Gallows vs. © Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett
As seen before the match, Lethal and Barrett are once again champions, and their second match with the belts was against Kazarian and Luke Gallows. The champs didn’t look as if they came in giving this new duo a lot of credit, as they were quickly taken off-guard by their opponents’ offense. Kazarian and Gallows worked very well as a team, nearly picking up a victory after a Gallows hit a gutbuster on Barrett. Lethal and Barrett had to dig deep to fight back; they were assisted – in a way – by RHETT TITUS, who showed up at ringside, distracting Luke Gallows. As Gallows turned around, Barrett connected with an elbow. He followed that up with a spinebuster slam for the 1-2-3.
[Non-Title Match]: Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett defeated Kazarian & Luke Gallows when Barrett pinned Gallows after a spinebuster slam in 7:14. Rating: ** ¼ [Rhett Titus interfered against Luke Gallows.]
After the match, Lethal and Barrett celebrated inside the ring. At ringside, Kazarian stared a hole through Titus as he made his way backstage.
In the back, Claudio Castagnoli is seen searching for the person he claimed was responsible for keeping him out of last week’s main event. The announcers can only speculate as to who he’s looking for.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Kenny King is seen congratulating David Otunga on becoming number one contender last week. The two are interrupted as Heavyweight Champion, The Big Show, appears. Show smiles and says that Otunga may or may not have deserved what he got last week. But, since he’s in the position so far, Show warns him to be prepared. Show slaps Otunga on the back and walks off as both Otunga and King stare behind him.
Jack Swagger vs. Titus O’Neil
It’d been a number of weeks since both men had stepped into the ring, and tonight they were both looking to take the next step in their paths to success in the PCW. This was a very stiff battle, between two big men, neither one wanting to give up any ground. The match went outside, and saw Titus ram Swagger into the guardrail. Swagger dodged a clothesline, hitting a belly-to-back suplex onto the concrete floor that stunned the crowd. Swagger used a distraction by The Swagger Soaring Eagle to reenter the ring first. Titus pushed down the Eagle and entered the ring, where Swagger jumped on offense. Titus fought back, and looked set to put things away, when DAVID OTUNGA made his way onto the ramp. Both men stopped at the appearance, and the announcers questioned Otunga’s reasons for being at ringside. Back in the ring, Swagger turned into a short clothesline by Titus for the 1-2-3.
Titus O’Neil pinned Jack Swagger after a short clothesline in 6:26. Rating: * ¾
After the match, Titus gets up and looks at the ramp, as Otunga walks behind the curtains.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is with Rhett Titus. Brook asks about Rhett’s appearance at ringside earlier tonight. He says that he’s not concerned with that right now, because there are bigger issues in his world. Rhett says that he is not to blame for Jeremy Buck being nowhere near the arena last week and losing his shot at the Television Title. Rhett says that he was taking advantage of an opportunity that he was given; and he promises to have a very personal view of tonight’s main event.
Commercial Break
Returning from the back, Brooke Barlow is seen with Jeremy Buck. Buck says he heard what Rhett Titus said earlier; and that he has no respect in the locker room. He and his giggalo tag team partner haven’t done anything in the tag team division. Buck says Rhett was handed a golden chance to become something in the PCW… and he had it snatched away by the person whose chance it truly was! Buck says that he is going to become Television Champion tonight, and that Rhett Titus better stay out of his way.
A recap of last week’s Television Title match, and Jeremy Buck’s words afterward is shown.
PCW Television Title Match Jeremy Buck vs. © Justin Gabriel
Minutes after the match began, RHETT TITUS made his way to ringside, where he joined the announcers on commentary. Titus said that he was there to find out of Jeremy Buck could back up his words or not. Buck looked like he was backing his words as the match went on, and this clearly frustrated Titus, as he tripped Buck behind the referee’s back. Moments later, as Gabriel whipped Buck into the ropes, Titus pulled them down, sending Buck crashing to the canvas! Titus assaulted Buck outside the ring, before the referee could pull him away. Titus was quickly ejected from ringside, as Gabriel went to work on Buck. Gabriel tried to use the attack to his advantage, but Buck was not going to give up. Buck fought his way back, hitting a DDT. Buck went to the top rope, and connected with the 450 splash for the 1-2-3, and become the new Television Champion, as Titus looked on from the ramp!
[PCW Television Title Match]: Jeremy Buck pinned Justin Gabriel with the 450 Splash in 8:16. Rating: ** ¾ (Jeremy Buck won the PCW Television Title.) [Rhett Titus interfered against Jeremy Buck.]
After the match, Titus ran down to the ring, attacking Buck, as Buck was being handed the TV Title. Titus grabbed the belt and smashed Buck in the head with it, before leaving the ring to a chorus of boos. Officials tended to Buck, inside the ring, as the announcers mentioned a situation backstage.
In the back, a brawl is taking place between Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero. Both men finally get restrained by officials. Castagnoli can be heard screaming that everything is Hero’s fault. The show goes off the air as the two men are separated further.

PCW Television June 18, 2012 Lawlor Events Center, Reno, Nevada Attendance: 7,888 (68%)
A recap of last week’s show, ending with the backstage brawl between Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero, plays. The camera goes inside the arena where James Westerfield and Alfred Pressley welcome everyone to Reno. We are just two weeks away from the next PCW Special Event, in Buffalo, New York; and questions still remain surrounding just who will face The Big Show for the Heavyweight Title.
David Otunga’s music plays. Otunga makes his way to the ring, dressed in street clothes. Grabbing a microphone as he enters the ring, Otunga says that there has been a lot on his mind since last week. He says that he and Chris Hero have been friends for a while now. They’ve been champions together. Otunga says that he sat in the back, watching his tag team partner and Claudio Castagnoli brawl at the end of the show. As he watched, he knew that he needed to come out to the ring this week, to speak his mind. Otunga says that he didn’t speak with Hero, didn’t run by what he wanted to say tonight, because he doesn’t need to run his actions by anyone anymore. Otunga says that, two weeks ago, he came out to this very ring and become number one contender. He says her earned himself a shot at the Heavyweight Title in two weeks. With a smile, Otunga says that he had to take matters into his own hands in order to do that. He admits that the man who attacked Claudio Castagnoli was not Chris Hero… but, instead, him. Otunga says that Claudio has acted like he was entitled to a title shot ever since aligning himself with Shane Hagadorn – a man whom Otunga knows all about. Otunga says he took Castagnoli out, in order to knock him down a peg, and to remember that anyone, anywhere, can be his undoing.
Otunga is interrupted as a furious Castagnoli storms down to the ring, followed by Shane Hagadorn. Castagnoli gets into the ring, nose-to-nose with Otunga, as the crowd starts to get riled up. Castagnoli snatches the microphone from Otunga and tells Otunga that he just signed himself up a beating of a lifetime! Castagnoli says that Otunga has no right to claim himself as the Number One Contender, because he didn’t belong in that match. Castagnoli says that Otunga physically stole his spot. And, since Otunga won by taking his spot - by default, Claudio should be facing The Big Show in two weeks. But, since Otunga won’t listen to reason, he’ll beat him for his rightful spot tonight! Castagnoli throws down the microphone and leaves the ring, as the scene fades.
Backstage, Rhett Titus is seen inside Commissioner Rex Butler’s office. Titus says it’s not fair that Jeremy Buck is Television Champion, when he interfered in Titus’ match two weeks ago, costing him the title. Butler says that Titus can’t come to him complaining, when last week, he was at ringside doing the same thing. Titus’s jaw tightens, as he gets into Butler’s face, and says that he’s tired of playing games. He wants one last shot at the belt. Butler, staring back at Titus, says if he thinks he can take it, he’s got his match. But, if he loses, it will be a very long time before he gets another opportunity.
Also backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Women’s Champion, Beth Phoenix. Brooke asks about the influx of women in the PCW nowadays; and says that it was a tough loss to lose Tiffany, Taylor Wilde, and Leva Bates all in a matter of weeks. Beth says that those were tough losses, but each person has their own path. She says that, if things went differently, she might not be holding the title belt tonight. But, she says, the more women that come into the PCW, the better. As champion, she says she wants to see the competition grow. She says it’ll make her and everyone else better on the roster, and that’s always a good thing.
Commercial Break
Becky Bayless vs. Tamina
After bowing out in the first round of the Women’s Title tournament, Tamina was set for action tonight, looking to get back on track. Making her debut tonight, Becky Bayless, who has been around the business for a few years. A former TWE Texas Ladies Champion, Bayless was hoping to make a splash in PCW. However, running into a second generation wrestler with a chip on her shoulder didn’t help much. Bayless held her own, but after being dropkicked through the ropes and nearly being counted out, she rolled back in, only to get hit with a Samoan Drop for the 1-2-3.
Tamina pinned Becky Bayless with the Samoan Drop in 5:12. Rating: -** 1/2
Backstage, Brooke Barlow asks David Otunga to respond to Claudio Castagnoli’s challenge earlier tonight. Before Otunga can speak, Jack Swagger appears, interrupting the interview. Swagger says whether Otunga takes on Castagnoli tonight or not, he’ll have a match lined up next week. Swagger says doesn’t care whether Otunga is number one contender. Otunga had no right to be at ringside during Swagger’s match, and next week, Swagger says he’ll make Otunga tap.
A preview for the next PCW Special Event is shown. It will take place July 3rd, live from Buffalo, New York!
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow tries to get a word from Claudio Castagnoli, whom is still fuming over the news from earlier in the show. Castagnoli tells Barlow that he has nothing else to say; that what he does to Otunga in the ring tonight, will speak volumes. He tells Brooke to leave him alone, before she regrets trying to find him.
Also, backstage, Rhett Titus is seen making his way down the hallway, heading towards the stage, when he is stopped by Luke Gallows. Gallows laughs, shaking his head at Titus. Gallows says he doesn’t understand what Titus was thinking – if he even was – last week, showing up during his match. Gallows says he doesn’t care if Titus wins the TV Title or not tonight, because next week, he’s going to embarrass Titus. Gallows walks off, leaving Titus to stare after him, his teeth grinding. After a moment, Titus takes a deep breath and continues towards the stage…
PCW Television Title Match Rhett Titus vs. © Jeremy Buck
This heated rivalry began two weeks ago, at the last Special Event, when Rhett Titus used Buck’s shot at the TV Title, coming up short against Justin Gabriel. Buck claimed that Titus stole his spot, making good on his own chance a week later, despite interference by Titus. In such a short time, both men felt so much contempt for each other, when Titus demanded his match against Buck earlier in the show, there was no way it could be denied. Titus was determined to take the title off of Buck, and showed a willingness to do whatever he needed to do so. However, Buck, a multi-time former TV Champion, had been in this spot before, and an answer for most of Titus’s offense. This refusal to lose eventually got to Titus, as he seemed to falter as his aggravation level grew, causing a lapse in judgment that led to Buck using a cross body block to pick up the 1-2-3.
[PCW Television Title Match]: Jeremy Buck pinned Rhett Titus after a flying cross body press in 12:18. Rating: ** ¾ (Jeremy Buck retained the PCW Television Title.)
After the match, Buck quickly rolled out of the ring and grabbed his title, making his way up the stage. On the top of the ramp, Buck laid the Television Title down and walked away, stunning the crowd. The announcers questioned Buck and what he was doing, as the show went to commercials.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow tells the crowd that Commissioner Butler has an announcement. Butler thanks Barlow, and says that he has always believed in fair competition. If someone has the ability to take something from another, why not give them the chance? Butler announces that, next week, there will be four-team tournament. The winners of those two matches will face each other in a Number One Contenders Match to kick off the July 3rd Special Event. The winner of that match will face Jay Lethal and Wade Barrett for the Tag Team Titles later on in the evening.
The announcers say that the teams will be revealed next week. They then discuss the events from earlier tonight, between David Otunga and Claudio Castagnoli, as a recap video plays.
Number One Contenders Match David Otunga vs. Claudio Castanoli (w/Shane Hagadorn)
It was clear from the beginning of the night that the last person anyone wanted to see inside a ring was Claudio Castagnoli. With a chip on his shoulder, and a rage burning from his victimized absence in the Triple Threat Match – not to mention Shane Hagadorn stoking those flames, Castagnoli was not going to stop until he got his hands on David Otunga. Though, to him, his intentions were good, Otunga quickly found out what type of monster his actions created. Otunga fought valiantly, wanting to secure his place in the main event in two weeks, but Castagnoli was not going to be denied. He connected with a vicious European uppercut that rattled Otunga. Though Otunga had the wherewithal to hoist Claudio in the air, Castagnoli slid down his back, and connected with the Ricola Bomb for the victory.
Claudio Castagnoli pinned David Otunga with the Ricola Bomb in 7:30. Rating: ** ¾
After the match, Castagnoli kicks Otunga out of the ring, as Hagadorn enters. Hagadorn grabs a microphone and tells everyone to look at their soon-to-be new Heavyweight Champion. Suddenly, The Big Show’s music hits, and the PCW Heavyweight Champion appears on-stage. Claudio motions for Show to come to the ring, but Show shakes his head “no”. He holds up the title belt, pointing to it. The show goes off the air as Castagnoli and Show stare at each other from across the arena.

PCW Wrestling June 26, 2012 Augusta Civic Center, August, ME Attendance: 3,050 (45%)
A recap of the No. 1 Contenders Match last week, between David Otunga and Claudio Castagnoli is shown as the show comes on the air. James Westerfield welcomes everyone to Augusta, and announces that, in tonight’s main event, PCW Heavyweight Champion The Big Show will take on Cody Rhodes in a non-title contest.
Non-Title Match Vickie Guerrero vs. © Beth Phoenix
EXCUSE ME!! The familiar voice of Vickie Guerrero blasts through the Civic Center, sending a roar of boos through the crowd. On her way to the ring, Vickie says that she is not happy with being told she had to wrestle in order to be a member of the PCW roster. She says, for good measure, she is going to embarrass Beth Phoenix tonight. Unfortunately for Vickie, that didn’t happen. The Women’s Champion came out, having gotten rest for the past couple weeks, and made an example of her. Phoenix hit the Glam Slam for the 1-2-3.
[Non-Title Match]: Beth Phoenix pinned Vickie Guerrero with the Glam Slam in 6:04. Rating: -**
Backstage, Brooke Barlow welcomes Becky Bayless to PCW. Bayless tells Brooke that it’s good to be with PCW, but promises that she’s not going to be the shy little newcomer everyone expects her to be. Bayless says that she’s well-known in the Northeast, and pretty soon, she will be known around the country. Brooke asks about her debut, a loss to Tamina, last week. Bayless says that she was nervous – anyone would be – and tells Brooke to leave it alone! Bayless says that even “Vickie frickin’ Guerrero” lost tonight, in her first match! Becky says she’ll see Tamina again, and will make things right.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, a recap of last week’s show ending – between Claudio Castagnoli and The Big Show – is shown. After the clip, Brooke Barlow is seen with the Heavyweight Champion. She asks The Big Show about how last week ended, and Show says that he’s not threatened by Castagnoli in the slightest. Show says he has been – and always will be – the largest professional athlete in this business. He says that Castagnoli earned a shot at this title in Buffalo; but that’s all he earned: a shot.
Tag Team Tournament – Semi-Final The A-List Knockouts vs. Beer Money
The first match in the tournament pitted two teams with prior championship experience. Beer Money has a well-decorated history of tag team title reigns during their time; as do Hero and Otunga, who are previous title holders on the main HWL roster. This was a solid match, as both teams were vying for a spot in the finale, next week, against either The Bravado Brothers or The All Night Express. Things got interesting as JACK SWAGGER made his way to ringside during the match, getting into a war of words with Otunga, who was standing on the ring apron. Swagger grabbed a chair from under the ring, and was promptly chased by Otunga around the ring, only to get blindsided by a stiff clothesline from James Storm. Occupied with the scene outside, the referee did not see Swagger climb onto the apron and crack the chair over Chris Hero’s skull! Swagger jumped down, and watched Hero stagger into an enzulariato from Robert Roode for the 1-2-3.
After the match, Swagger laughed as he walked by Otunga, who was slowly getting to his feet outside the ring. The announcers said that, even with a cheap victory like this, Beer Money would be advancing.
[Tag Team Tournament – Semi Final]: Beer Money (James Storm & Robert Roode) defeated The A-List Knockouts (David Otunga & Chris Hero) when Roode pinned Hero after an enzuilariato in 9:32. Rating: *** ½ [Jack Swagger interfered against Chris Hero.]
Commercial Break
Tag Team Tournament – Semi Final The Bravado Brothers vs. The All-Night Express
After coming up short in his bid to win the Television Title, Rhett Titus could count himself fortunate that he and Kenny King were included in the tournament to determine new No. 1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles. Titus, along with King, had the chance to prove he could be championship material in the PCW; and tonight they had to get through the Bravado Brothers to get one step closer. However, Lance and Harlem found themselves with a great opportunity to take the weight that had been weighing them down for so long off their shoulders tonight. This was a very fast-paced match, between two teams that saw gold just out of their grasps. The ANE looked to be the stronger team, but the Bravados showed a fierce resilience, staying in the match, no matter what was thrown at them. At the end of the match, as all four men were brawling outside the ring, LUKE GALLOWS jumped the barricade, hitting Rhett Titus with a vicious clothesline. Gallows then hit a press slam onto the concrete before walking back up the ramp. Lance rolled back into the ring, as Titus was counted out.
[Tag Team Tournament – Semi Final]: The Bravado Brothers (Lance & Harlem) defeated The All-Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King) by countout in 12:36. Rating: * ¾ [Luke Gallows interfered against Rhett Titus.]
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen backstage with PCW Commissioner Rex Butler. Butler congratulates the Bravados and Beer Money for advancing to the finals of the tag team tournament. Butler says that next week’s Special Event is shaping up to be very exciting. Butler says that, after the apparent resignation of the now-former Television Champion, Jeremy Buck, there will be a Battle Royal for the vacant title next Tuesday night.
Non-Title Match Cody Rhodes vs. © The Big Show
The Big Show and Cody Rhodes are not strangers to each other, having been members of the WWE for a number of years; so it was clear that the fans in Augusta were going to be in for a very good main event. Things got interesting from the start, as CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI made his way to the announce table just moments after the bell sounded. Castagnoli remained at ringside, while The Big Show used his size to control the early part of the match. Later on, Castagnoli saw his opportunity, and tripped The Big Show. Castagnoli held up his hands and went back to the announce table, getting booed. In the ring, Rhodes took advantage of this distraction, working over the lower part of the Champion’s body. Rhodes’s offense – while effective – was short-lived, as The Big Show fought his way back into a controlling position. Showing signs of the damage done to his legs, The Big Show hit a shaky chokeslam, and went for the cover, only to have Castagnoli slide into the ring and break it up!
After the match, Castagnoli worked over The Big Show’s legs. Castagnoli whipped The Big Show into the corner, and looked to hit a running uppercut; but The Big Show caught him by the throat, looking to chokeslam Castagnoli. Castagnoli, wide-eyed, kicked Show’s knee, and slid out of the ring, escaping up the ramp.
[Non-Title Match]: The Big Show defeated Cody Rhodes by disqualification in 11:16. Rating: ** [Claudio Castagnoli interfered against The Big Show.]
After the match, The Big Show stared down Castagnoli as the show went off the air.

PCW Special Event July 3, 2012 First Niagara Center – Buffalo, NY Attendance: 7,289 (39%)
A recap of last week’s confrontation between Claudio Castagnoli and The Big Show is shown. James Westerfield welcomes everyone to Buffalo, New York, and wishes everyone a happy Fourth of July holiday. Alfred Pressley joins James at ringside, as they announce the line-up for tonight’s Special Event. They then send things to the ring for the opening contest.
No. 1 Contenders Match Beer Money, Inc. vs. The Bravado Brothers
Both teams won qualifying matches last week to get to this point, with a shot at the Tag Team Titles later in evening hanging in the balance. Beer Money tried to gain the advantage by attacking the brothers before the bell, but the Bravados were able to fight their way back. Things got interesting as RHETT TITUS made his way to the ring. Titus led on that he was only at ringside to watch the match, unless Robert Roode tried to grab the ropes will being held in an abdominal stretch. Titus pulled the rope away and slapped Roode in the mouth! Lance released the hold, and bodyslammed a stunned Roode for the pinfall.
[No. 1 Contenders Match]: The Bravado Brothers defeated Beer Money, Inc. when Lance pinned R. Roode after a bodyslam in 7:07. Rating: *** ¾ [Rhett Titus interfered against Robert Roode.]
After the match, Titus makes his way up the ramp, laughing, as the scene cuts backstage.
Backstage, PCW Heavyweight Champion The Big Show, is seen entering the arena. The announcers discuss Claudio Castagnoli’s chances of defeating “The World’s Largest Athlete” later tonight.
A recap of Jeremy Buck’s departure from the PCW – and the vacation of the Television Title – is shown. A 10-Man Battle Royal for the vacated title is coming up, after the break.
Battle Royal for vacant Television Title
Coming back from the break, all 10 men are shown standing in the ring, eyeing each other down. When the bell rings, Kenny King attacks Alex Payne, locking him in an armbar submission. Kazarian breaks the hold, and continues on in the match. King connects with an enzuigiri and tries to throw Payne over the top rope. King attempts to knock Payne off the apron, but Payne slides between his legs, under the ropes, and starts his own offense. Chris Hero attacks Kazarian in the corner, while on the other side newcomers DREW MCINTYRE and DELIRIOUS battle each other. Delirious takes McIntyre down with an Ace Crusher, before tossing him over the top rope. *Drew McIntyre has been eliminated by Delirious*
Cody Rhodes comes from behind and tries to dump Delirious out of the ring, but gets stopped by the third surprise entrant – ROB TERRY. Terry and Rhodes do battle as Delirious escapes the ropes, but falls into the clutches of The Great Khali. Delirious slides through Khali’s legs and escapes to safety, as we see Chris Hero and Kazarian continuing to brawl. Delirious ducks a surprise clothesline attempt by Kenny King, and starts laying into him. Delirious’ offense comes to an end after a backdrop. King locks in an armbar submission, which is broken up by Cody Rhodes. Across the ring, Hero and Kazarian put on quite the show, cutting off a section of the ring from everyone else. Hero punches Kazarian, but Kazarian kicks Hero a little below the belt, causing Hero to beg off. A battle of big men ensures as The Great Khali and Rob Terry square off in the center of the ring, as do Cody Rhodes and Justin Gabriel. Gabriel breaks free of Rhodes, and helps Terry throw Khali over the ropes, but only one of Khali’s feet touch the concrete! They walk away, as Terry goes after Kenny King. Khali rolls under the ropes, and attacks Delirious from behind, locking him in a bearhug. Gabriel hits Khali in the back, forcing him to drop Delirious. Khali turns around and head-butts Gabriel, before throwing him over the top rope. *Justin Gabriel has been eliminated by The Great Khali*
Khali then sets his sights on Chris Hero. He gets some help from Cody Rhodes, but Hero counters a double team into a double clothesline, allowing him to catch his breath. Rhodes gets to his feet, as he and Hero begin to duke it out. Across the ring, Alex Payne hits Delirious with a clothesline. Getting up, he dodges an attack from Rob Terry, hitting Terry with a kneelift. Terry recovers and lands a stiff kick to Payne. Backing away, Terry is caught off-guard, and thrown over the top rope by Kenny King! Terry slams the canvas as he stares at King, before leaving ringside. *Rob Terry has been eliminated by Kenny King*
King turns his attention to the recovering Delirious, hitting a gutbuster. Cody Rhodes and King double team Delirious as, across the ring, Kazarian and Chris Hero continue their fight from earlier in the match. This is short-lived as The Great Khali grabs Hero in a bearhug. Khali then works over Hero. Hero is able counter a clothesline, hitting one of his own, stunning Khali. As Hero backs away, he is attack by Cody Rhodes. They trade offense, until Rhodes body slams Hero and locks on the Figure Four. Kazarian makes the save while, on the other end of the ring, Kenny King and Delirious go at each other once again. Delirious takes King down with a shoulder block, and attacked by Alex Payne. Delirious blocks some punches, stunning Payne with a hurricarana. An all-out brawl takes place between Kazarian, Delirious, King, Hero and Rhodes. From the outside, Daizee Haze – Delirious’ manager – trips Payne. Delirious tries to blindside Payne, but Payne ducks, sending Delirious over the top rope! Delirious barely hangs on; and, thanks to quick thinking by Haze, who grabbed one o Delirious’ legs, he was not eliminated. As Delirious re-enters the ring. Kenny King connect with a knee lift, before back-dropping him over the top rope. *Delirious has been eliminated by Kenny King*
Kenny King sets his sights on Chris Hero, and the two men go after each other. With the action focusing on King and Hero, a gasp from the crowd alerts that Kazarian has been eliminated from the match! *Kazarian has been eliminated by Chris Hero*
Cody Rhodes takes advantage o what King has done, and goes after Hero. Rhodes locks in the Figure Four. With not submissions, Hero writhes in pain until Rhodes decides to release the hold and find a new target. This opens Hero up for Alex Payne, who powerbombs Hero in the center of the ring! Rhodes comes over, pushing Payne aside, to finish what he started on Hero. Payne decides to help Rhodes, and they hit a double fist. Rhodes attempts a bodyslam, which is countered with a small package. Rhodes rolls away, as Hero hits Payne with a side suplex. Hero nails a forearm to Payne’s back, pushing him over the top rope. *Alex Payne has been eliminated by Chris Hero*
After eliminating Payne, Hero became the target of a three-on-one assault, as Rhodes, King and Khali all set their sights on him. Rhodes and Hero were allowed room to let their aggression out. A shock ran through the crowd as SHANE HAGADORN ran down to the ring, and smashed a steel chair over Hero’s head! Hero began to bleed, but was not able to be eliminated, which infuriated Rhodes. Both Khali and King found their opening to add to the assault on Hero. Anytime Hero would gain the offensive, one of the three were there to break it up. Standing outside the ring, Hagadorn tells King to stand Hero up. Hagadorn jumps onto the apron and smashes the chair over Hero’s head a second time! The all-on assault continued on Hero; but somehow(!) Hero was able to fight through everything that was thrown at him; and with blood streaming down his face, he tosses Kenny King over the top rope. *Kenny King is eliminated by Chris Hero*
Hero wiped the blood from his face, and set himself to face both Khali and Rhodes as the match wore down. Khali balked as Rhodes went after Hero. Rhodes raked Hero’s eyes, and tossed him over the ropes. Rhodes began to celebrate as Hero hung on, rolling back into the ring. Hero stunned Rhodes with the Hero’s Welcome, before tossing him over the top rope. *Cody Rhodes has been eliminated by Chris Hero* Soon after, Khali tried to use a big boot, but Hero ducked. Hero ran into the ropes and connected with a double-boot dropkick that staggered Khali. Hero, back on his feet, ran and clotheslined Khali over the top rope for the victory!
After the match, Hero crumpled down to the canvas, blood pouring from his face, as a stunned Shane Hagadorn watched from the bottom of the stage. The referee signals for assistance, as medical personnel rush to the ring to tend to Hero. The announcers applaud Hero’s performance, as he eliminated half the field in the match. They say if anyone deserves to be Television Champion, it is Chris Hero!
[Battle Royal for vacant Television Title]: Chris Hero won a 10-man Battle Royal, eliminating The Great Khali in 33:50. Rating: *** (Chris Hero won the PCW Television Title.)
The medical team and HWL officials continue to work on Hero – slowly bringing him out of the ring – as we go to commercials.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow has caught up with Rhett Titus, and asks him why he interfered in the previous match. Titus smiles and says that there are going to people asking a lot of questions. The fun part is keeping them guessing.
A recap is shown of last week’s attack on Rhett Titus - by Luke Gallows - that resulted in the up-coming match being signed.
Luke Gallows vs. Rhett Titus
Luke Gallows looked like he was going to start where he left off last week, when he attacked Titus before the opening bell. Gallows used his size and strength to wear down Titus – who had an interesting night leading up to the match. Gallows was unable to put Titus away, and Titus fought his way back into the match. However, Gallows’ size made it impossible for Titus to hit the Muff Diver, and he appeared to have tweaked his back during one of the attempts. This allowed Gallows the opening he needed, and he put away Titus with the Gallows Pole for the 1-2-3.
Luke Gallows pinned Rhett Titus with the Gallows Pole in 19:01. Rating: ** ¾
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Tamina. Brooke says that Becky Bayless had some pretty strong words for Tamina last week. Tamina says that Becky Bayless has every right to be upset, because she Tamina beat her in Becky’s debut match. Tamina says she’d be upset, too. The difference is that Tamina is a second-generation wrestler, who grew up in this business; not someone who picked it up as a job after high school because she was too stupid to go to college. Tamina says that, if Becky is looking for a fight, she knows where to find her. She says she’ll be the one, standing in the center of the ring, holding up the Women’s Title. Tamina walks off as the show goes to commercials.
Returning from the break, Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix is with Brooke Barlow. Beth says that there’s no denying that Tamina is the daughter of one of the most well-known wrestlers in the past 40 years. She says that Tamina has dominated her way to get to where she is tonight. Whatever issue Tamina has with Becky Bayless is not Beth’s problem. The only thing that matters to Beth is keeping the Women’s Title around her waist. Beth walks away as we go to ringside.
PCW Women’s Title Match Tamina vs. © Beth Phoenix
Tamina looked to continue her dominating ways inside the Women’s Division with a victory over Champion Beth Phoenix. Beth has a long history of championship reigns in her career, but Tamina might just be one of her toughest opponents to-date. This match went back and forth, with neither woman wanting to give up control. Things got interesting with BECKY BAYLESS made her way to ringside, getting and up-close view of things. After watching the action for a few moments, Bayless jumped onto the ring apron, as Tamina whipped Beth into the ropes, and clocked Beth in the back with a forearm. Bayless hopped off the apron, as the referee called for the bell, and made her way around the ring while Tamina stared her down. Seeing Beth holding the back of her head, Tamina connected with a superkick, sending the champion crashing onto the canvas!
[Women’s Title Match]: Beth Phoenix defeated Tamina by disqualification in 6:02. Rating: * ¼ (Beth Phoenix retained the PCW Women’s Title.) [Becky Bayless interfered against Beth Phoenix.]
Backstage, Jack Swagger is seen getting ready for his match, when Vickie Guerrero approaches. Guerrero says it’s good to see Jack again and wishes him good luck in his match. Guerrero turns to walk away, but stops, turning back to Swagger, and saying that she would be happy to replace The Swagger Eagle at ringside, if it would be OK. The show goes to commercials as Swaggers ponders the question.
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen backstage, looking around. The announcers ask her what she is doing, and Brooke explains that she was trying to find David Otunga for an interview, but has yet to locate him. The announcers say that Otunga is scheduled to be in the next match, and begin to question his whereabouts.
Jack Swagger (w/The Soaring Eagle) vs. David Otunga
Jack Swagger and The Soaring Eagle made their way to the ring. Swagger says that he is concerned about where David Otunga is, only because he wanted the chance to beat him in the middle of the ring tonight. Swagger says that it’s clear Otunga is afraid of being embarrassed in front of all the people in attendance… or he’s just afraid of birds. Swagger says that he’s already in the ring and ready for a match, and if Otunga isn’t coming out, then someone in the back – who wants a match – is more than welcome to one.
Drew McIntyre appeared on-stage, looking to avenge his early exit from the Television Title Battle Royal earlier in the evening. McIntyre, a former singles and tag team champion, came out firing stunning Swagger, as he and McIntyre had routinely teamed up during their time in the WWE. McIntyre didn’t let their past frieAndship stop him from taking the fight to Swagger. McIntyre secured a victory after a quick DDT, using a headlock takedown to roll Swagger over for the 1-2-3.
Drew McIntyre pinned Jack Swagger after a headlock takedown in 7:08. Rating: ** (David Otunga no-showed.)
The announcers recap the Television Title Battle Royal, and the performance put on by Chris Hero to win the title. Hero is then shown, backstage, being treated by PCW medical personnel.
A preview for the next PCW Special Event is shown. The Event will take place Saturday, August 11th – the night before HWL’s Unbreakable PPV – live from Everett, Washington! A shot of the Tag Team Title Match is shown as the show goes to commercials.
Returning from the break, James Storm and Robert Roode confront Harlem and Lance Bravado backstage. Roode says that either of them better start talking, or they won’t make it to their tainted title match. Lance says that he knows nothing about why Roode got attacked earlier tonight. Harlem says that Rhett Titus was clearly just jealous for not being in the match. Storm asks why Titus didn’t attack either of the Bravados, aTnd just focused on Roode. Lance says he really doesn’t know, and says if they want answers, to go find Titus and Kenny King. The Bravados walks off as Storm and Roode shake their heads.
PCW Tag Team Title Match The Bravado Bros. vs. © Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett
Jay Lethal and Wade Barrett have held onto the Tag Team Titles for nearly a month-and-a-half. They were running roughshod over the division until Commission Butler – in the spirit of competition – created a four-team tournament to decide their new challengers. Lance and Harlem had to fight – and win – three matches in two weeks if they wanted to become Champions for the first time in PCW. All of their hard work for over that time helped erase the near misses and close calls from the past, as Harlem hit the “X Marks the Spot” to pick up the victory.
[Tag Team Title Match]: The Bravado Bros. deeated Jay Lethal & Wade Barrett when Harlem pinned Lethal with the X Marks The Spot in 8:27. Rating: ** ¾ (The Bravado Bros. won the PCW Tag Team Titles.)
After the match, while they celebrated in the ring, The Bravados were attacked by RHETT TITUS and KENNY KING, who appeared out of the crowd. Titus and King worked over the new champions, leaving them lying in the center of the ring; their titles just barely out of their grasps. Titus and King leave the ring, and the show goes to commercials, while showing The Bravados laid-out in the ring.
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow stops The Big Show on his way to the ring for his title defense. Show says that he has to give credit where it’s due. Show says that Castagnoli has a lot of natural talent; and could be one of the strongest men on the roster. But, Show says that Castagnoli has a reputation of rubbing guys the wrong way. A couple weeks ago, when Castagnoli put his hands on Show, unprovoked, he rubbed Show the wrong way. As Show starts to walk away, Shane Hagadorn can be heard laughing as he and Castagnoli appear. Hagadorn says that he could care less if Show was rubbed the wrong way by anything that Castagnoli has done up to this point. Hagadorn says the only thing he’s worried about, is how Show is going to feel when Castagnoli beats him for the Heavyweight Title. Castagnoli and Show face off. Without fear or intimidation, Castagnoli tells Show that he’ll see him in the ring. Castagnoli and Hagadorn walk away as Show looks on, fuming.
A video is shown, recapping the past few weeks between Claudio Castagnoli and The Big Show.
PCW Heavyweight Title Match Claudio Castagnoli (w/Shane Hagadorn) vs. © The Big Show
Castagnoli finally got the match he felt he deserved – and rightfully so, after defeating David Otunga two weeks ago. Things didn’t start off as easy as the challenger thought, as the champion used his size and strength advantage to gain an early advantage. In an effort to gain separation, Castagnoli grabbed Show’s singlet and used his momentum to send Show through the ropes. Outside the ring, Castagnoli whipped Show into the ring steps before stomping him on the concrete. Castagnoli rolled into the ring, breaking the 10-count, before rolling back out and bringing Show back under the bottom rope. Castagnoli covered Show, for a two-count. Castagnoli’s power moves were kept at bay due to the size of Show, and this allowed Show to work his way back into the match. Both men found their way back outside the ring, this time with Show in charge. Show whipped Castagnoli into the barricade, before being distracted by Shane Hagadorn. Castagnoli hits a forearm to Show’s back, only for Show to turn around with a thunderous clothesline, sending Castagnoli to the concrete. Show rolls Castagnoli back into the ring, and goes for the Chokeslam. Castagnoli kicks out, and gets another clothesline in return. Hagadorn jumps onto the apron, distracting Show, allowing Castagnoli to get to his feet. As Hagadorn jumps off the apron, Show turns around, and is met with a vicious European Uppercut. Castagnoli covers Show, hooking his leg for the 1-2-3!
[PCW Heavyweight Title Match] Claudio Castagnoli pinned The Big Show after a European Uppercut in 16:08. Rating: ** ¼ (Claudio Castagnoli won the PCW Heavyweight Title.)
After the match, Hagadorn rushes into the ring, handing Castagnoli the Heavyweight Title. The crowd watches, stunned, as Castganoli and Hagadorn celebrate in the ring. The announcers thank everyone for watching, and the show goes off the air.
