PCW Wrestling July 10, 2012 Alltel Center, Mankato, MN Attendance: 5,280 (100%)
Highlights from last week’s special event are shown. James Westerfield welcomes up to the show, and is joined by Alfred Pressley at ringside.
Chris Hero’s music begins to play as the new Television Champion makes his way on-stage to a chorus of cheers. Here makes his way into the ring and holds the title belt in the air, as the announcers praise his work and determination during last week’s battle royal. Hero grabs a microphone and lets the crowd calm down before speaking. Hero says that last week was an incredible week for him, in two ways. The first, which he says won’t be popular with the fans, is that he witnessed a man he’s known for most of his career – Claudio Castagnoli – walk out of Buffalo, New York as the new PCW Heavyweight Champion. Hero says that he and Castagnoli might not see eye to eye anymore; but as someone who has traveled the roads with him, Hero gives Castagnoli a lot of credit for being able to defeat The Big Show last week.
Hero says the second reason last week was incredible, is because of the strap that’s sitting on his shoulder. Hero says that there have been a number of people to hold the Television Title before him, and there will be people that hold it after him – but not for a while. Hero says he put his body on the line last week, and lasted nearly thirty minutes inside the ring, and eliminated the biggest member of the PCW roster to walk away with the belt. Because of the toll he took last week, Hero says that he has been given the night, but will compete next week.
As Hero begins to leave the ring, The Great Khali’s music plays. Khali and Ranjin Singh come out to the stage to boos from the crowd. Singh questions who they are booing: Khali, the man who, being the last eliminated in the battle royal last week, is the rightful number one contender for the Television Title; or Hero, the champion, who just said he’s too sore to perform. Singh says it doesn’t matter, because the peoples’ opinions don’t matter to neither he nor Khali. The only thing that matters is that it’s inevitable that Khali will be the next Television Champion. Singh promises to show Hero what’s in store for him, tonight, when Khali competes in tonight’s main event. Khali’s music plays again, as they leave the stage, and we go backstage as Hero looks on from the ring.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is standing with Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix. Beth is asked about her victory last week over Tamina. Beth says that her “victory” was tainted; and any self-respecting champion would not feel good about how they won a match like that. Beth says that she neither had nor wanted any part of the situation between Becky Bayless and Tamina; but Becky made things personal by interfering last week. Beth walks away as the show goes to commercials.
Alex Payne vs. Luke Gallows
After a hard-fought victory at the Special Event last week, Luke Gallows was determined to have a better showing tonight against Alex Payne. Payne should be given credit for not backing down from Gallows – whom he had a significant height and weight disadvantage against. Payne went to the top rope, in hopes of using high-risk moves to take down Gallows, but Gallows caught him in midair. Gallows connected with the Gallows Pole for the victory.
Luke Gallows pinned Alex Payne with the Gallows Pole in 4:27. Rating: **
Backstage, Brooke Barlow asks Justin Gabriel about his match against The Great Khali later tonight. Gabriel says that Khali is a massive man, and that just by size alone, Khali would appear to have the upper hand. But, Gabriel says that Khali eliminated him from the battle royal last week. Gabriel says he’ll show everyone what determination looks like, later tonight.
Kelly Kelly vs. Becky Bayless
It had been just over a month since Kelly Kelly was last seen in a PCW ring, and it appeared that she had gained a more aggressive attitude in her absence. Kelly rammed Becky into the ring-steps before rolling Becky back into the ring for a two-count. However, the opportunistic Bayless surprised Kelly with a snap mare and, while grabbing a fistful of Kelly’s tights, picked up the pinfall.
Becky Bayless pinned Kelly Kelly after a snap mare in 2:54. Rating: *
Bayless rolls out of the ring, celebrating her victory, as Kelly Kelly looks in in disgust. As Bayless stands on the stage, Tamina attacks from behind, knocking her down. Tamina works over Bayless, before tossing her into the stage structure. Tamina walks off, while the camera focuses on Bayless, as the show goes to commercials.
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow catches up with Tamina as she’s coming from the stage. Brooke asks Tamina what’s going through her mind. Tamina says what’s on her mind should be obvious. Becky cost her a shot at the Women’s Title, and now Becky is going to pay for it.
Back at ringside, the announcers discuss the absence of David Otunga last week, as he was scheduled to face Jack Swagger. A video has been released, showing closed circuit footage from inside the arena in Buffalo. The video plays, showing David Otunga and Vickie Guerrero walking into view, having a heated discussion. They stop in front of a door, where Vickie says something, before pulling the door open. Otunga walks inside and responds to Vickie. Vickie closes the door and walks off-screen. She returns, slowly pushing an equipment cart in front of the door. Smiling, Guerrero walks off-screen as the video ends. At ringside, the announcers say that Guerrero will have questions to answer next week; and they ponder what type of mood Otunga will be in.
Delirious (w/Daizee Haze) vs. Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre gave the PCW fans quite a shock last week, when he filled in for the missing David Otunga, and was able to defeat Jack Swagger. Tonight, he stepped into the ring with the unorthodox Delirious, who had the “sane” Daizee Haze at ringside. Delirious looked impressive at the beginning, but when he was unable to score an early pinfall, he began talking to himself. McIntyre took advantage of this, and both men eventually found their way outside the ring, where Daizee attempted to use herself as a distraction – only to get laid out on the concrete by McIntyre! McIntyre rolled Delirious back in the ring and hit the Future Shock for the victory.
Drew McIntyre pinned Delirious with the Future Shock in 4:27. Rating: *** ¼
After the match, McIntyre leaves the ring to a mixed reaction. Delirious, slowly getting back to his senses, rolls out of the ring and checks on Daizee, as the show goes to commercials.
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen with Commissioner Rex Butler. Butler says that he is upset and baffled by the video that was played earlier tonight, and the actions of Vickie Guerrero. Butler says that, in light of what took place in the video, next week, David Otunga will get his match against Jack Swagger.
Back at ringside, the announcers replay the confrontation between The Great Khali and Television Champion Chris Hero from the start of the show.
Justin Gabriel vs. The Great Khali (w/Ranjin Singh)
Earlier tonight, Khali and Ranjin Singh stated that they were coming after Chris Hero’s Television Title. Justin Gabriel was a tune up for Khali, but Gabriel didn’t see it that way. Gabriel came out kicking – literally – and using his high-risk moves, hoping to take The Punjabi Giant off his game. However, a back elbow that struck Gabriel in the chin put an end to those hopes. After gaining advantage, Khali made an example of Gabriel. Things only got worse as Gabriel had enough fortitude to kick out after one Punjabi Plunge. This infuriated Khali, who lifted Gabriel up with a second Plunge, driving him into the canvas for the victory.
The Great Khali pinned Justin Gabriel with the Punjabi Plunge in 7:04. Rating: *
After the match, Khali stands tall in the ring, as the announcers say goodnight from Mankato!
Card rating: * ¾

PCW Wrestling July 17, 2012 Allen Fieldhouse – Lawrence, Kansas Attendance: 9,780 (60%) Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to Lawrence, and the home of the Kansas Jayhawks. Newly crowned Heavyweight Champion, Claudio Castagnoli, and Shane Hagadorn start off the program by making their way to the ring, welcomed by a roar of disapproval from the crowd. Castagnoli and Hagadorn shrug off the boos as they enter the ring. Castagnoli poses with the title belt while Hagadorn grabs a microphone. Hagadorn says that everyone should stand up and cheer for the new Heavyweight Champion, because God knows how long it’ll be before another championship comes to this hell-hole of a town. Hagadorn says that, two weeks ago, Castagnoli stood in this ring and proved to everyone that he is the true King of Wrestling. Hagadorn says that Castagnoli promised for weeks that he would end the longest title reign in the history of the PCW Heavyweight Title, and that is exactly what he’s done. Hagadorn gets ready to continue, but is stopped Castagnoli runs past, grabbing him by the coat sleeve. The camera turns to see THE BIG SHOW entering the ringside area through the audience, and the crowd goes crazy! The Big Show enters the ring as Castagnoli and Hagadorn exit, running up the ramp to safety. The Big Show leaves the ring, walking up the ramp. The announcers recap the events that took place between Becky Bayless and Tamina. It is announced that they will square off against each other next week! Bayley vs. Nikki BellaIt has been a while – nearly two months – since we last saw Bayley, the up-start independent circuit darling in a PCW ring. It’s been equally as long since Nikki Bella has graced PCW with her presence; but she has certainly been busy, going off and becoming HWL Woman’s Champion before losing it just a number of days ago. Bayley caught Nikki by surprise in this match, having obviously worked on her in-ring skills during her time away, as she nearly upset the former champion. However, Nikki was able to block Bayley’s attempted guillotine choke and work herself into position before hitting the Bella Buster for the 1-2-3. Nikki Bella pinned Bayley with the Bella Buster in 4:09. Rating: * ¾Commercial BreakReturning from the break, Rhett Titus and Kenny King are seen walking into Commissioner Rex Butler’s office. Titus and King say they want to finish things with the Bravado Brothers, and they want a title match next week. Butler says that Titus and King have some nerve demanding a match against a team they essentially helped win. Since Butler believes in “fairness”, he agrees to giving them their title match, but says that it will be a Triple Threat Match. Butler says that Jay Lethal and Wade Barrett will have a chance to win back their titles at the August Special Event as well. Butler tells King that he should head to the ring, because his match is happening… now. Kenny King vs. HornswoggleJust moments after finding out that he would be competing in a Triple Threat Match for the Tag Team Titles, Kenny King came to the ring expecting to face another participant in next week’s title match. However, he was delighted to see HORNSWOGGLE make his way to the ring as Lethal’s replacement. King was momentarily taken off his game, having psyched himself to face Lethal, but he quickly gained control of the match. King took his time, toying with Hornswoggle, much to the dismay of the fans. After a few minutes, King connected with a very harsh-looking spinning heel kick for the 1-2-3. Kenny King pinned Hornswoggle after a spinning heel kick in 5:40. Rating: ¾*After the match, King grabbed Hornswoggle and tossed him through the ropes, sending him crashing down onto the concrete at ringside. King left the ring, to a chorus of boss, as the show went to commercials. Commercial BreakBobby Roode vs. KazTwo weeks ago, during the Special Event, Bobby Roode and James Storm were eliminated from contention for the Tag Team Titles. Tonight, sitting in the back, Roode and Storm heard that they would not be a part of the Triple Threat Match at the up-coming Special Event in August. All of this combined was enough fuel for Roode to come out tonight and make short work of Kaz. Roode needed just over six minutes to hit the Payoff and pick up a victory here tonight. Bobby Roode pinned Kaz with the Payoff in 6:07. Rating: ** ½Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with the Tag Team Champions, Harlem and Lance Bravado. Brooke asks for comments on the match that Commission Rex Butler signed earlier in the evening. Lance says that the odds have been stacked against he and Harlem since they first stepped foot in PCW, and that August 11th Is not going to be any different. Harlem says he and Lance shocked the world by winning the Tag Team Titles, and they’re going to shock it again after they retain them. James Westerfield says that Rob Terry recorded a message to The Big Show earlier today before showing the footage. In it, Terry is seen backstage. He says that big men are hard to come by in this business; that they are very rare. Tonight, two of PCW’s biggest men will step in the ring to see who’s better. Terry says that he is going to give The Big Show a challenge unlike any other… and an upset. Commercial BreakReturning from the break, the announcers recap the segment that opened the show between The Big Show and Heavyweight Champion Claudio Castagnoli. They also announce the matches that have been signed for the Special Event – “Battle at the Bay” – Television Champion Chris Hero will defend the belt against The Great Khali; The Bravado Brothers will defend the Tag Team Titles in a Triple Threat Match against The All-Night Express and former champions Jay Lethal and Wade Barrett; and, in the main event, Claudio Castagnoli puts the Heavyweight Title on the line against former champion The Big Show. Rob Terry vs. The Big ShowIt had been a frustrating evening for The Big Show – starting from the top of the show. It’s been clear ever since he won the Heavyweight Title, that Claudio Castagnoli was going to be a thorn in the big man’s side. Things didn’t get much better when Rob Terry claimed he would upset Show tonight. When the match started, it was what you’d expect from a battle of big men… both of them jockeying for position, any advantage they could find. Much to the shock of the audience, Big Rob got the upper hand and stayed on The Big Show. Terry went against his own usual judgment and did whatever he could to keep The Big Show on the ground. Show would push off and get back to his feet, but Terry would knock him down again. This continued, but it became clear that Terry would not be able to out The Big Show away unless trying something different. SHANE HAGADORN and CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI made their way to the ring. Hagadorn was carrying a chair, and he offered it to Terry. Terry shook his head and backed away, directly into a Choke Slam by The Big Show! The Big Show pinned Rob Terry after a Choke Slam in 8:05. Rating: **After the match, The Big Show stood over Terry and screamed at Hagadorn and Castagnoli as they made their way up the ramp. The show goes off the air with Big Show standing tall in the center of the ring. PCW Wrestling July 24, 2012 Savannah Civic Center, Savannah, GA Attendance: 8,064 (84%)
A recap of the confrontation between The Great Khali and Television Champion Chris Hero is shown as the show comes on the air. The recap then shows Khali’s victory over Justin Gabriel in the main event.
Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome us to Savannah, less than two weeks away from the Battle at the Bay pay-per-view event. They announce three big matches on the show, but are quickly interrupted as The Great Khali’s music begins to play.
Khali makes his way to the ring, followed by Ranjin Singh, as the crowd voices their disapproval. Inside the ring, Singh says that he is absolutely appalled on Khali’s behalf due to the fact that Chris Hero – the PCW Television Champion – has had the previous two weeks off. Singh says that he’s stunned that Hero is scheduled to be here tonight, but will keep an eye on whether or not he actually shows his face inside the arena. Singh says that, no matter what he was doing last week, he hopes that Chris Hero saw what Khali did to poor Justin Gabriel. Singh says that last week was a clear message that Hero would be wise to heed.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow asks Becky Bayless about the comments made by Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix last week. Becky says that she doesn’t care if Beth took what she did personally at the last Special Event, because sooner or later, she’s coming for the Women’s Title. As Becky starts to leave, she is stopped by TAMINA. Tamina says that “sooner or later” is going to be a lot later after tonight.
At ringside, Alfred and James introduce footage that was taken last week, of a confrontation between Lance Bravado and General Manager Rex Butler. The video shows Lance barge into Butler’s office, tossing his Tag Team Title belt onto Butler’s desk. Bravado tells Butler that he and his brother have worked their asses off to get where they are, and from Day One, they’ve been held back. Lance says that they are a damn good tag team; so good in fact that they won the Tag Team Titles. But, there seems to be something that Butler has against them. Lance says that he and Harlem won a tournament to become champions, only to be told they’d turn around and defend them in a Triple Threat Match in three weeks. Lance calls Rex ridiculous and says that he’ll have to find new tag champions. Lance then tells Rex that he quits and walks out the door. The show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Harlem Bravado is seen backstage, pacing while talking on the phone. It’s revealed that he is speaking with his brother, Lance. Harlem says he understands why Lance is upset but says that he could’ve handled things a lot better. Harlem knows Lance feels like they’re being disrespected, but reminds Lance that they are champions. Harlem says he knows Lance doesn’t want to give up the belts by not being here to defend them. Harlem pleads with Lance to take the week and think about things. He asks Lance to show up next week, so they can discuss things in person.
Becky Bayless vs. Tamina
Earlier tonight, in an interview backstage, Becky said that she didn’t care how Beth Phoenix felt about Becky’s interference in Beth’s title defense at the last Special Event; but that she would be coming for the Women’s Title. However, it looked as if Tamina was determined to back up her words to Becky. Tamina, the victim of Becky’s interference – which ultimately cost Tamina a chance at the Women’s Title – took weeks of anger out on Becky in this match. Tamina did not give Becky an inch to stage a comeback, though she did try. Her attempts were interrupted as KELLY KELLY made her way to ringside, distracting Becky. This allowed Tamina to roll Becky up after sling-shooting her into the turnbuckle for the 1-2-3.
After the match, Tamina got on the microphone and said since one problem has been taken care of, it was time to move on to the other, bigger problem. She then issued a challenge to Beth Phoenix, to a rematch for the Women’s Title, during Battle at the Bay.
Tamina pinned Becky Bayless after a slingshot in 5:18. Rating: -1/4*
Backstage, Jack Swagger confronts Vickie Guerrero, who is very happy to see him. Swagger says he saw the video of what Vickie did last week and asks why she is sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong. Vickie says that she was only trying to help. Jack says that he has everything under control and tells Vickie to stay backstage.
Also backstage, a camera shows Television Champion Chris Hero entering the Civic Center.
A recap of “Monday Night Anarchy” is shown before going to commercials.
Commercial Break
Jack Swagger (w/The Swagger Flying Eagle) vs. David Otunga
It would be fair to say that David Otunga was beside himself as he came down to the ring for tonight’s match. Enraged by the actions taken by Vickie Guerrero two weeks ago, Otunga could not wait to get his hands on Jack Swagger. But as Swagger said earlier in the night, he didn’t want Vickie’s help and could defeat Otunga on his own That was made more difficult as, witnessing that Otunga was taking control of the match, the Swagger Flying Eagle interfered, giving Swagger time to get back into the match. As Swagger took over, Vickie made her wait to ringside and grabbed the Eagle, trying to drag it backstage. Swagger left the ring, trying to convince Vickie to go backstage and leave the Eagle alone, only to get counted out in the process!
After the match, Swagger demands that Vickie go backstage, before taking his anger out on the guardrails at ringside.
David Otunga defeated Jack Swagger by count out in 5:50. Rating: ½*
Backstage, Becky Bayless storms into Rex Butler’s office and demands a match against Kelly Kelly next week, after she cost Becky her match. Butler says that Becky will get her match, but it will take place at Battle at the Bay. Becky huffs in disgust and storms out of the room.
Also backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Drew McIntyre. McIntyre says his victory last week was needed after not coming out victorious in the battle royal. Brooke asks about him hitting Daizee Haze outside the ring, and Drew says that he’s sorry that she got hit, but that’s what happens when you involve yourself in a match. Brooke then asks about Drew’s match against Television Champion Chris Hero. Drew says that tonight is a huge opportunity for him to prove that, just because he didn’t win the battle royal, doesn’t mean he can’t be a contender for the TV Title.
A preview for “PCW: Battle at the Bay” is shown. Battle at the Bay will take place LIVE on Saturday, August 11th, from the Cow Palace in San Francisco, California!
Commercial Break
Backstage, Brooke Barlow catches up with Chris Hero before his match and asks about the comments made by Ranjin Singh earlier tonight. Hero says that he’s not going to make excuses for why he wasn’t here the last two weeks. But he says that the decision to be inactive was not his, so Khali and Singh are mad at the wrong guy. Hero says that he did see Khali’s match against Justin Gabriel, but that the message wasn’t needed because Hero is very aware of what Khali can do in the ring. He’s a monster; a giant. Hero knows he has his work cut out for him at Battle at the Bay. He says he had his work cut out for him during the battle royal three weeks ago. He slaps the title over his shoulder and walks away.
Non-Title Match Drew McIntyre vs. © Chris Hero
After missing two weeks of action, Chris Hero did show some signs of ring rust at the beginning of this match, but they quickly went away as he realized that Drew McIntyre wasn’t going to be an easy opponent. Hero worked over McIntyre and tried to hit a Hero’s Welcome to put things away early, but McIntyre escaped. McIntyre took over control after hitting a Flatliner but wasn’t able to put Hero away. Things started to calm down as both men wound up putting each other in respective submission holds, in a game of “anything you can do, I can do better”. When those tactics didn’t work, things were taken outside. At ringside is where McIntyre took over, as he connected with a flying dropkick, sending Hero into the guardrail. Rolling Hero back into the ring, McIntyre climbed the turnbuckles and connected with a flying leg drop for only a two-count. McIntyre’s momentum was stopped as DAIZEE HAZE appeared at ringside, screaming at McIntyre for putting his hands on her two weeks ago. This allowed Hero to gain his composure, and connect with a cavate kick as McIntyre turned around. A Hero’s Welcome followed for the 1-2-3.
[Non-Title Match]: Chris Hero pinned Drew McIntyre with the Hero’s Welcome in 11:17. Rating: *** ¼

PCW Wrestling July 31, 2012 Bi-Lo Center, Greenville, SC Attendance: 11,591 (67%)
The constant hum of the crowd can be heard in the background, as the scene opens up on a pedestal standing in the middle of the ring. On top of the pedestal is the PCW Heavyweight Title. The camera shifts as Commissioner Rex Butler makes his way down to the ring, a microphone in-hand. Butler tells the audience that he’s been in the wrestling business for over 15 years, and has seen some pretty questionable things take place in and out of the squared circle. But he says that he cannot recall the last time a man, a champion, walked away and left without defending his title one last time.
Butler says that’s exactly what Claudio Castagnoli did last week when he decided to turn his attention to the main roster. Butler says he can’t really blame Claudio for his desire to remain a part of the HWL, but says that he could have handled things differently. Instead, things will be handled for him. Butler says that as of last Tuesday night, the PCW Heavyweight Title is vacant. He also says that, as of right now, The Big Show has no opponent for the main event at Battle at the Bay in 13 days. Butler then announces that starting tonight, a tournament will be held to determine The Big Show’s opponent, and that match will be for the vacant Heavyweight Title.
Butler leaves the ring as the announcers question what four superstars will be taking part in the tournament.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen with The Big Show, backstage. Brooke asks Show about the changes being made to his match at Battle at the Bay, and who, out of the four participants, he’d like to face in 13 days. Show says that he’s not surprised Castagnoli tucked his tail and ran. He says it doesn’t matter who wins the tournament because whoever it is will get what Castagnoli had coming to him. Show promises that he will walk out of San Francisco as a two-time champion.
Tournament Match #1 Kenny King vs. Luke Gallows
Kenny King is already set to have a full schedule at Battle at the Bay, but he was given a chance to add to that schedule if he could defeat Gallows tonight. Gallows, on the other hand, was given a chance to make plans for Saturday, August 11, hoping to step into the ring against The Big Show for the vacant Heavyweight Title. Gallows and King were just in the ring together a number of weeks ago, with Gallows coming out on top. King seemed distracted tonight, or as if he was trying too hard, looking for a second title shot in one night. Gallows took advantage of that distraction, hitting the Gallows Pole to advance.
[Tournament Match #1]: Luke Gallows pinned Kenny King with the Gallows Pole in 8:11. Rating: **
Harlem Bravado is seen standing in the parking lot outside the arena, when a car speeds in. The car parks and out steps Lance Bravado, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. Lance says he doesn’t know why Harlem wanted him to come here tonight, and Harlem encourages him to just come inside and talk. Lance relents and the brothers head towards the entrance, where they are stopped by Rex Butler. Butler tells Lance to leave the premises or be arrested for trespassing. Both Lance and Harlem turn and walk away. The show goes to commercials as Butler watches them drive away.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Vickie Guerrero confronts Jack Swagger backstage. Vickie once again apologizes for costing Swagger a match but says that she was only trying to help. Swagger wants to know what Vickie is helping him with, and she struggles for an answer. Swagger acknowledges their past together but says it ended. He says that he’s moved on and encourages Vickie to do the same. Swagger walks off, leaving Vickie speechless.
Non-Title Match Bayley vs. © Beth Phoenix
Bayley found herself with the chance of a lifetime tonight, as she stepped into the ring with the Women’s Champion. If Bayley could secure a victory over Beth tonight, it would catapult the young Vixen into the title picture. She had her work cut out for her, as The Glamazon was looking to make a statement heading into “Battle at the Bay”. But, shockingly, Bayley received some assistance from TAMINA, who made her presence known at ringside early on. Bayley held her own – whether that was based on her skills or the distraction caused by Tamina – and had a couple near falls on the champion. However, Beth was able to overcome the distraction and hit a vicious-looking snap mare before covering Bayley. But, before the referee could count to three, Tamina entered the ring and broke up the count.
After the match, Tamina went to work on Beth, focusing on her left arm. Tamina stopped on the elbow and forearm as Beth screamed out in pain. Tamina dragged Beth to the ropes, before wrenching Beth’s arms over the middle rope. Officials rushed out to the ring, pulling Tamina off of Beth, as medical personnel tended to Beth.
[Non-Title Match]: Beth Phoenix defeated Bayley by disqualification in 8:42. Beth Phoenix suffered an elbow injury and will be out for three (3) weeks. Rating: 1/4* [Tamina interfered against Beth Phoenix.]
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Drew McIntyre is showing walking through the backstage area, towards the arena exit. Just as he walks through the door, he is viciously attacked by Delirious. Daizee Haze shouts encouragement as Delirious stomps on McIntyre. Delirious stops the assault and says that he’s going to make Drew pay for putting his hands on Daizee, at “Battle at the Bay”. Delirious and Daizee walk off as the camera goes back to ringside.
Tournament Match #2 Bobby Roode vs. The Great Khali (w/Ranjin Singh)
Luke Gallows could only sit and watch from the backstage area as the final match of the evening started. The Great Khali was given a chance to earn a second title shot in one night, as he was already slated to face Chris Hero for the Television Title at “Battle at the Bay”. Earning a shot at the Heavyweight Title would have really turned his fortunes around heading into next Saturday’s event. Roode, on the other hand, was looking to get his ticket punched to San Francisco. Roode gave this match all he had. He was outweighed by over 200 pounds and was at a height disadvantage, but somehow was able to hold his own against the Punjabi Giant.
When things seemed to be falling out of Khali’s grasp, Rajin Singh climbed onto the apron and tried to interfere against Roode. When that backfired, Roode knocked Singh to the concrete, before getting attacked by Khali. Outside the ring, Singh looked ready to strike but was stopped as CHRIS HERO ran down from the back and held Singh back. The appearance of Hero at ringside caught Khali’s attention and seeing Hero putting his hands on Singh enraged Khali. But, before could leave the ring, Roode – who had staggered to his feet – readied himself, and as Khali turned around, hit a vicious forearm smash for the 1-2-3!
[Tournament Match #2] Bobby Roode pinned The Great Khali after a forearm smash in 11:43. Rating: -*
After the match, Roode crumpled down in the corner, as the crowd cheers him on. It is announced that next week, Roode will take on Luke Gallows for the right to face The Big Show for the vacant Heavyweight Title at “Battle at the Bay”. The announcers sign off from Greenville, as the show goes off the air.

PCW Wrestling August 7, 2012 Hooker Creek Events Center, Redmond, OR Attendance: 6,225 (83%)
Rex Butler makes his way to the ring as the show comes on the air. Butler talks about the “air of excitement” in the locker room with Battle at the Bay looming on the horizon. Butler says that there’s a lot of exciting things happening in the PCW, but the reason he’s out tonight is not one of them. He calls out Beth Phoenix, who walks out, her arm in a sling and the Women’s Title wrapped around her waist. Rex helps her into the ring, and the fans cheer as she waves to them. Rex says that, unfortunately, due to Beth’s injury, she will not be able to defend the Women’s Title this Saturday night. Therefore, he must have Beth relinquish the title. Dropping her head, Beth unbuckles the belt from her waist and hands it over to Rex, without looking at him. Rex asks if she has anything to say to the crowd, but Beth just shakes her head. Rex announces that this Saturday, the Women’s Title will be on the line as Tamina will face Phoenix’s replace, BAYLEY! Beth’s music begins to play, as she leaves the ring, and the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Kelly Kelly is seen sipping a Starbuck’s drink. A male member of the security staff comes to say hello, but is brushed off by Kelly. As he walks away, MELINA attacks Kelly from behind! Melina lays into Kelly in the hallway, before taking what’s left of Kelly’s drink and dumping it over her. Melina bends down and says that’s a message from Becky, and that Kelly will see Melina this Saturday night.
Alex Payne vs. Jack Swagger (w/The Swagger Flying Eagle)
As of late, Jack Swagger has been dealing with a two-pronged situation that seems to have taken his mind off his in-ring work. His personal life has been made stressful by the arrival of a former love interest in Vickie Guerrero; and every time he steps into the ring, he has to worry whether or not his personal mascot is going to cost him a match. Tonight, that concern had to be in the back of his mind as he stepped in to take on Alex Payne, hoping to pick up a victory. Swagger certainly wasted no time in taking out his frustrations on Payne. But Payne was able to hold his own, fighting back against Swagger, and turning this into a match that the crowd quickly got behind. It shouldn’t have been a surprise when the Swagger Flying Eagle grabbed Payne’s ankle, tripping him. The referee threatened Swagger with interference, but Swagger wasn’t having it. Swagger banished his own mascot from ringside, just in time for Payne to roll him into a Boston crab in the center of the ring. Swagger struggled to reach the ropes, eventually tapping out. Payne celebrated his upset victory as Swagger rolled outside the ring, holding his lower back, and destroying the ringside area.
Alex Payne made Jack Swagger submit to a Boston crab in 8:30. Rating: **** ¼
Commercial Break
Justin Gabriel vs. Delirious (w/Daizee Haze)
Much like Swagger, in the first match of the evening, Delirious has found himself in the middle of a battle with Drew McIntyre, fighting for the honor of his manager, Daizee Haze. They are slated to face each other this Saturday night, but Delirious has another issue to deal with before the weekend. Justin Gabriel has won multiple championships during his tenure in the PCW and is one of the most decorated champions in the short history of the company. Those facts seemed to have escaped the outrageous mind of Delirious heading into this match-up. Delirious and Gabriel traded advantage throughout this match, with Delirious trying to put Gabriel away every chance he got. But Justin Gabriel is nothing if not resilient. Delirious had him in the corner and looked poised to lay in a number of forearms shots, but Gabriel was able to duck out of the corner and lock on the Koji clutch. Gabriel dropped down to the canvas, locking the hold in tighter, as Daizee Haze tried to push the bottom rope closer to Delirious. DREW MCINTYRE ran from backstage, grabbing Haze, and pulled her away from ringside. While bashing on McIntyre’s shoulders, Haze could do nothing but watch Delirious pass out in the ring. Gabriel was awarded the match, and after the bell sounded, McIntyre dropped Haze onto the aisle-way and walked backstage.
Justin Gabriel made Delirious pass out in the Koji clutch in 9:04. Rating: ** ¾
A video is shown, recapping Luke Gallows’ victory, last week, to advance to tonight’s tournament finale against Bobby Roode. The winner will face The Big Show, this Saturday, for the vacant Heavyweight Title!
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, a video recapping Bobby Roode’s victory from last week is shown.
Backstage, Harlem and Lance Bravado walk into Rex Butler’s office. Lance steps forward and, seeking some sort of motivation from his brother – who motions for Lance to continue – tells Butler that he acted unprofessionally and wanted to apologize. Lance says that he would like to sit down with Butler, after the show, and discuss things. Lance says he wants to compete Saturday night if Butler would still allow that to happen. After the moment, the two men shake hands, and Butler tells them to enjoy the rest of the show.
Tournament Finale Luke Gallows vs. Bobby Roode
A lot hung in the balance as Gallows and Roode stepped into the ring tonight. The Big Show watched from backstage, anticipating who his opponent would be in four days’ time. Gallows – the bigger of the two men – took advantage early on. Roode came back, surprising Gallows with a snap suplex. Feeling the effects of the earlier part of the match, Roode climbed the turnbuckles, only for Gallows to get to his feet and rack Gallows on the corner ropes. Roode fell onto the apron, and Gallows pushed him out to the concrete with his foot. Outside the ring, Gallows worked over Roode before hitting a flying shoulder block that seemed to have done some damage to Gallows as well. Both men eventually returned to the ring, and Roode ducked a running clothesline attempt, hitting a spinebuster slam as Gallows came back off the ropes. Roode covered Gallows for the 1-2-3. After the match, Roode laid on the canvas as he was announced the winner.

PCW: Battle at the Bay August 11, 2012 Cow Palace – San Francisco, CA Attendance: 11,550 (70%)
Pyro shoots from the stage as Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to San Francisco for the first-ever Battle of the Bay event. They announce the six matches that will take place tonight, and the camera goes to the ringside area to start the show.
Melina vs. Kelly Kelly
Over the last couple weeks, Kelly Kelly found herself in a heated situation with fellow Vixen Becky Bayless. Bayless blamed Kelly for her inability to earn a shot at the Women’s Title, and this match was signed for the two to settle their differences. But, last weeks, those plans changed when MELINA debuted, attacking Kelly on behalf of Becky, who had been called up to the main roster. Kelly found herself facing someone she didn’t prepare for, therefore she had no game plan for Melina. She did shock Melina by kicking out of the Sunset Split, but Melina came back with a stiff kick to the head for the victory.
Melina pinned Kelly Kelly after a kick to the head in 9:38. Rating: * ¼
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Daizee Haze and Delirious before his match-up with Drew McIntyre. Daizee says that Delirious is finally going to avenge her, for the actions of McIntyre. After tonight, McIntyre will know to never put his hands on Daizee again.
Commercial Break
Drew McIntyre vs. Delirious (w/Daizee Haze)
The feud between these two all started during a match-up nearly a month ago when Drew pushed Daizee Haze to the ground while she tried to interfere on Delirious’ behalf. Delirious spent the ensuing time attacking McIntyre – all in the hopes of avenging his manager. In the last couple weeks that singular goal has cost Delirious matches, and only infuriating him more. Tonight, that fury was on full display, as he took the fight to McIntyre. However, Delirious’ rage caused him to make a crucial mistake, and McIntyre was able to capitalize. McIntyre hit the Future Shock to pick up the victory. After the match, McIntyre celebrated his victory as Daizee Haze fumed from outside the ring.
Drew McIntyre pinned Delirious with the Future Shock in 6:34. Rating: *** ¾
Backstage, Bayley is seen talking to Beth Phoenix – who has her injured arm in a sling – leading up to her title chance later tonight. Beth tells Bayley that she doesn’t blame Bayley for her injury; and that she believes Bayley has the ability to walk away with the Women’s Title tonight. Bayley thanks Beth and promises to give her a title shot when she’s healthy. The two hug before Bayley walks away.
Also backstage, Brook Barlow is seen with Kenny King and Rhett Titus. King says that they’ve been nothing more than a side note – if even that – since The Bravados won the Tag Team Titles. Titus says that neither of them care whether or not the Bravados are here tonight, or if Wade Barrett can find a partner to fill in for Jay Lethal. All that matters is that they walk out with the Tag Team Titles tonight.
Commercial Break
Match for vacant Women’s Title Bayley vs. Tamina
Since coming up short in her last attempt at the Women’s Title, Tamina has done everything she could to get back in the ring with Beth Phoenix. Those plans took a hit when the champion went down with an arm injury a week before their prospective match. When it was announced that Tamina would be facing Bayley – the upstart who would be filling in for the injured Phoenix for the vacant title – her chances of winning the title skyrocketed. However, whether it be the motivation she received from the former champion before the match, or the support from the hometown crowd, Bayley – even after being slammed into the ring post – did not give up. Bayley took everything Tamina could give her, and kept getting back to her feet. Bayley shocked the PCW when she hit the Bayley-to-Belly Suplex for the 1-2-3. After the match, Bayley cried at ringside with the Women’s Title, after becoming only the second woman to hold it in its history.
[Match for vacant Women’s Title]: Bayley pinned Tamina with the Bayley-to-Belly Suplex in 6:03. Rating: * ½ (Bayley won the PCW Women’s Title.)
Backstage, Wade Barrett is seen with Brooke Barlow. Barrett says that he hated the fact that Jay Lethal left the company, so he went back home to find a reliable partner to help win back the Tag Team Titles. Barrett introduces MARTIN KIRBY – the current Grand Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. Kirby says that he’s honored that Barrett asked him to come to PCW, and have a shot at gaining another title to his name.
PCW Television Champion Chris Hero is seen standing in the backstage area. He says that tonight is going to be his first real challenge since winning the TV Title. Hero says that all signs show that the odds are stacked in his favor, but he reminds everyone that he beat nine other men for this title in one night. One “Punjabi Giant” won’t stand in his way.
Commercial Break
Tag Team Title Match The All-Night Express vs. Martin Kirby & Wade Barrett vs. © The Bravado Brothers
The Bravados knew they didn’t have an easy title defense on their hands tonight. Facing a team that feels they should have been in the Bravados’ place and another team with one member looking to regain what was taken from them last month. The Bravados attacked both teams before the bell rang, hoping to pick up an advantage, taking their opponents off guard. The champions and The Express have had a tense rivalry over the last month, and tonight was just another chance to take out their dislike for each other between the ropes. Kirby and Barrett picked their spots, by tagging themselves into the match when they felt one of the other teams were at their weakest point. Martin Kirby showed off his skills inside the ring, possibly gaining some interest – and new fans – during his time in the ring. Kirby and Barrett were much more calculated in their approach to this match, and it paid off for them as Barrett connected with the Wasteland on Harlem for the 1-2-3.
[Triple Threat Match for the Tag Team Titles]: Martin Kirby & Wade Barrett defeated The Bravado Brothers (Harlem & Lance) and The All-Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King) when W. Barrett pinned Harlem with the Wasteland in 13:39. Rating * ¾ (Martin Kirby & Wade Barrett won the PCW Tag Team Titles.)
Commercial Break
A preview for PCW’s next Special Event: “Canadian Collison” is shown. Canadian Collison will take place, LIVE, September 8th, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
Television Title Match The Great Khali (w/Rajin Singh) vs. © Chris Hero
One month ago, a battle royal for the vacant TV Title hung in the balance as Khali and Hero stood across from each other. On paper, Khali should have been the odds-on favorite to walk away with the title belt, but “The Knockout Kid” came out on top, sending the Punjabi Giant toppling onto the concrete. In the ensuing weeks, Khali had been threatening Hero that he would lose the title when they got into the ring again. Khali, once again, came in as the favorite – in a straight-up singles match – but Hero came out swinging early on. Hero worked over Khali, slowly wearing him down. Hero had Khali locked in a half Boston crab when Rajin Singh jumped onto the apron. With the referee distracted, KAZARIAN ran through the crowd and cracked the ring bell over Hero’s skull! Singh jumped off the apron, as Khali covered Hero… but Hero kicked out just before three! Khali worked over a now-bloody Hero, hitting a power slam and a huge powerbomb; but somehow Hero was able to kick out at two. Hero was getting the worst for wear but was able to duck a chop from Khali and hit a running forearm that took Khali off his feet. Hero made the cover, but as the referee was counting to three, Kazarian entered the ring and broke up the pin! After the match, Kazarian rolled out of the ring as Hero was announced the winner. Khali grabbed Hero and hit a double chokeslam, leaving Hero in the center of the ring.
[Television Title Match]: Chris Hero defeated The Great Khali by disqualification in 11:29. Rating: -3/4* [Kazarian interfered against Chris Hero.] (Chris Hero retained the PCW Television Title.)
Backstage, Bobby Roode is seen with Brooke Barlow, just moments away from his shot at the Heavyweight Title. Roode says that he got through two of the biggest men in PCW to get to this point. Beating The Big Show should come as no surprise to anyone. Brooke says that some people might think Roode is a little cocky heading into a match with the former champion. Roode says there’s a thin line between cockiness and confidence; he’ll leave it up to his critics to decide which it is.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, the camera shows Bayley backstage, celebrating with her family. Bayley hugs her mom and dad before Beth Phoenix appears. They hug each other. Beth taps the title belt on Bayley’s shoulder and says she’s glad Bayley won it. Beth reminds Bayley that she won’t go easy on her.
The Big Show is seen backstage with Brooke Barlow. Brooke asks Show for a response to the comments made by Bobby Roode earlier tonight. Show says that Roode has gotten cocky too fast for only beating two men to earn his shot tonight. Show says that Roode isn’t at the same level as himself, and promises to knock Roode out as a reminder tonight.
Match for vacant Heavyweight Title Bobby Roode vs. The Big Show
The Big Show mentioned before this match that he had two things he wanted to do tonight: win back the Heavyweight Title and end Bobby Roode’s cocky attitude. Show seemed poised to do just that, as he used his size to overpower Roode. Roode tried everything he could to go blow-to-blow with Show, but it was said that Show would win that fight every time. Roode had to figure out a way to get him off his feet. Roode eventually went to an aerial attack, connecting with a number of kicks to the head that sent Show to the canvas. Dazed, Show staggered to his feet as Roode jumped onto the second turnbuckle. From there, Roode connected with a Blockbuster, pinning Show for the victory and becoming the new Heavyweight Champion!
[Match for vacant Heavyweight Title]: Bobby Roode pinned The Big Show after a Blockbuster in 5:45. Rating: ** ¼ (Bobby Roode won the PCW Heavyweight Title.)

PCW Wrestling August 14, 2012 Save Mart Center – Fresno, CA Attendance: 6,528 (42%)
A recap of Battle at the Bay is shown, highlighting Bobby Roode’s victory over The Big Show for the Heavyweight Title. When the video ends, Kazarian makes his way out to the ring, and is met with a roar of jeers from the crowd. Inside the ring, Kazarian says that last night, everyone saw what he did to Chris Hero. He says he knows there are at least two people backstage who are not that happy with his actions, but he is out here to clear the air. Kazarian says that, for too long now, he has been held back He defends his actions by saying that there are men on the roster that deserve a chance to fight for title belts, and he wants to challenge for the Television Title.
Kazarian is interrupted as The Great Khali and Rajin Singh make their way out to the ring as well. Singh, speaking on behalf of Khali, says that Kazarian makes a nice argument for his actions, but defending himself still does not answer for why he screwed Khali out of his chance to become Television Champion. Singh says that there is no answer that Kazarian can give, but says he has a way to make things right; for Kazarian to prove that he’s worthy of challenging for any title in PCW: a Number One Contenders Match between Kazarian and Khali, next week! Before Kazarian can respond, Khali grabs him by the throat and hits a double-handed chokeslam! Khali and Singh leave the ring as the show goes to commercials.

Non-Title Match Melina vs. © Bayley
Both women came into tonight’s match after huge nights, respectively, at Battle at the Bay. Melina picked up a victory over Kelly Kelly while filling in for Becky Bayless. And, Bayley walked out of San Francisco with the PCW Women’s Title after a hard-fought match with Tamina. As Bayley’s first opponent after winning the title, Melina came in with experience on her side, and it showed, as she took the fight to the young up-and-comer. Bayley fought back towards the end of the match, with the crowd cheering her on; but her comeback was short-lived. Melina connected with the Sunset Split to pick up the victory and gain some serious traction as a viable threat to Bayley’s reign.
[Non-Title Match]: Melina pinned Bayley with the Sunset Split in 9:03. Rating: ***

Returning from the break, newly-crowned Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode makes his way to the ring with the title belt wrapped around his waist. Roode says that Saturday night was a big test for him. A test to prove whether or not he was really ready to branch out on his own and make a name for himself. Roode says that for so long, he was known as a part of Beer Money, with James Storm. Roode says that Storm is still in the back, so he wants him to listen. Roode thanks Storm for being the best partner a guy could ask for in this business, and that he plans on holding onto this title for a long time. So, whenever Storm gets his chance at the Heavyweight Title, it will be against Roode. But, until that day comes, Roode says he will take on all comers. He knows The Big Show is pretty upset because he thought the match was in the bag Saturday night, but Roode says not all things go according to how Show wants them.
This brings out Rex Butler, who apologizes for interrupting Roode’s speech. Butler says that Roode makes an interesting point, about wanting to face all comers. He says that’s very noble of Roode, but there’s only one problem. As of tonight, no one knows who that first challenger is going to be. But, Butler says he’s out here to fix that. He announces that, next week, there will be a 10-man battle royal to determine will who face Roode for the Heavyweight Title at “Canadian Collison” on September 8th.

Harlem Bravado vs. David Hart Smith

Still feeling the frustration of no longer being champion, Bravado had to focus his mind to prepare to face former Heavyweight Champion David Hart Smith. However, when Smith’s music began to play, he was nowhere to be found. Bravado, the referee and the crowd waited for Smith to appear, but he was M.I.A. Bravado turned to the referee and asked for Smith to be counted out. Reluctantly, the referee relented and gave a ten-count before officially calling for the bell. Bravado, a huge smile on his face, left the ring while the crowd wrapped their heads around what just happened.

Roode says that he sticks by what he said earlier tonight: that he will welcome all challengers to his title. Roode says that this is his chance to prove what he can do on his own. He says that Butler has actually made that easier for him because, after next week, he will know exactly who will be coming for his title at Canadian Collison.
Before they can continue, The Big Show appears, and tells Roode that he better hope Show doesn’t win the battle royal next week. He tells Roode that Show should be the only one he worries about and no one else.

PCW Wrestling August 28, 2012 DCU Center – Worcester, MA Attendance: 11,988 (81%)
“This Is War” plays as a video shows Wade Barrett winning last week’s battle royal. The video ends as Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to Worcester. We are less than two weeks away from Canadian Collison, and we finally know who will facing Bobby Roode for the PCW Heavyweight Title…
The PCW Tag Team Champions, Wade Barrett and Martin Kirby make their way to the ring, accompanied by a chorus of boos. Barrett says he knows he’s not the person everyone was hoping would come out victorious last week. He beat nine other men to earn the shot, so he might not be the challenger they wanted, but he’s the challenger they have. He tells the crowd to deal with it, which brings on more boos. Barrett says that he has a chance to win the Heavyweight Title at Canadian Collison, making him a dual champion, because he has no reason why he and Kirby shouldn’t retain the Tag Team Titles the same night.
Rex Butler walks on-stage, bringing an end to Barrett’s comments. Butler congratulates Barrett on winning last week’s battle royal. He also says he respects Barrett’s confidence about retaining the Tag Team Titles. Butler says there’s only one problem: challengers haven’t been named. He says that he’s out to fix that. Butler announces that, tonight, a Triple Threat Match will take place to determine who will face Barrett and Kirby for the titles. The Bravados, The All-Night Express, and the team of Kazarian and Luke Gallows are named as the three teams. Butler also tells Barrett that, in the interest of keeping the talent safe, Barrett would not be wrestling twice at Canadian Collison. Instead, the winners of tonight’s match will receive that title shot, next week! Butler walks away as Barrett and Kirby look on in shock.

Beth tells Melina that there’s only one woman getting a shot at Bayley – her.
It is announced that Beth Phoenix will be in action, after the break!

They say that Rex Butler’s decision is in injustice, and it’s not the last people will hear about it.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Kazarian and Luke Gallows are seen backstage. Kazarian says that the fans haven’t seen much of he and Luke tagging, and that their limited amount of matches together doesn’t matter. Gallows tells Brooke that, with him, they are the strongest team going into the match, and that gives that an advantage; the same advantage they will have when they face Barrett and Kirby for the titles next week.

Going backstage, Rhett Titus and Kenny King are seen with Brooke Barlow. They say that this is all something they’ve seen before from Rex Butler. All in the name of making things interesting. So, if anyone can shout “injustice”, it’s them. They say the difference between them and The Bravados is that they will go out and do something to make things right.

Before the match, Delirious and Daizee Haze made their way to the ring. Delirious motioned for Haze to sit at ringside. Haze told the announcers that she was going to play by the rules because there was no need for Delirious to get suspended on account of her.

PCW Wrestling September 11, 2012 Budweiser Events Center – London, ON Attendance: 5,151 (57%)
A video package plays, remembering the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City. A message honoring the victims and military personnel is shown afterwards.
The opening package plays, as Alfred Pressley welcomes everyone to London, Ontario. He is joined at ringside by James Westerfield.
Rex Butler makes his way out to the ring. Butler says that the events that took place last week has put a lot of strain on him as Commissioner of the PCW. Butler says there’s no denying the fact that things between Wade Barrett and Bobby Roode have taken a more violent turn, as evidenced by the actions of Roode Saturday night at Canadian Collision. Butler says that he, in good conscience, could not allow the PCW’s Heavyweight Champion resort to the tactic of using a steel chair to help gain himself a victory, in an attempt to keep the title around his waist. So, after taking the past couple days to review his options, Butler says that, tonight, there will be a rematch for the Heavyweight Title. However, in ensure that there is a legitimate winner, this match will take place inside a steel cage! Butler leaves the ring as the show goes to commercials.
Drew McIntyre defeated Rhett Titus by disqualification in 6:00. Rating: *
Drew McIntyre drew the ire of Rhett Titus tonight, as Titus resorting to using a steel chair shot outside the ring, getting himself disqualified. After the match, Titus threw down the chair and stormed off backstage as the referee tended to McIntyre at ringside.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is with newly crowned Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix. Broke congratulates Beth on winning the Women’s Title for the second time and Beth thanks her. Brooke then asks how it feels for Beth to return and find herself back on top of the Women’s Division. Beth gives all the credit in the world to Bayley for her ability to overcome the odds and win the Women’s Title last month; but Beth says that it’s hard to say whether Bayley would have gotten that chance had Beth not gotten injured. She says that, now that she’s back on top, she knows there are a number of eyes on her and the target is squarely on her back. And, because of that, she’s open to all challengers. Beth walks away as the show goes to commercials.
Returning from the break, Rhett Titus is shown backstage, destroying the locker room. Kenny King comes in and tries to calm Rhett down. Rhett says he’s frustrated. Kenny asks him why, and Rhett says that they should be Tag Team Champions right now. Rhett says he’s frustrated because he feels like he’s the only one pulling his weight on the team; and had it been him in the ring when the bell sounded in their title match, the results would have been different. Rhett storms past Kenny and out of the locker room as the scene goes back to ringside.
Non-Title Match Kelly Kelly defeated © Beth Phoenix vis pinfall in 4:30. Rating: **
Before the start of the match, Tamina made her way to the announce table. During the match, Tamina made mention to the fact that she has challenged for the Women’s Title before, but that there was no denying she was the most-pedigreed woman on the roster – even better than Phoenix. At one point, Kelly Kelly tossed Beth outside the ring. Tamina got up from the announce table and threw Beth shoulder-first into the ring steps! Tamina then rolled Beth into the ring as Kelly made the cover.
After the match, BAYLEY made her way to ringside, getting into Tamina’s face. Tamina shoved Bayley aside and walked up the ramp. Bayley stood outside the ring, fuming, as the shows went to commercials.
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow is backstage with Wade Barrett. Brooke asks about the ending to the Heavyweight Title match on Saturday night. Barrett says that he still has a slight ringing in his ear, but that’s OK. He says that all Bobby Roode did Saturday night was prove that he can’t beat Barrett in a straight-up match. Barrett says that tonight, inside that steel cage, there’s going to be a level playing field.
After Jack Swagger is introduced, Kazarian’s music begins to play but he does not appear on-stage. Suddenly, an image appears on the titantron above the stage, showing Kazarian laid out in a hallway backstage. The ring announcer says that, since Kazarian is unable to compete, if no replacement can be found, Swagger will win the match by forfeit. Luke Gallows – Kazarian’s tag team partner – makes his way to the ring and says that he will take his partner’s spot in the match.
Luke Gallows pinned Jack Swagger with the Gallows Pole in 5:11. Rating: ** ¾ (Kazarian no-showed.)
After the match Gallows stepped over the ring ropes and walked up the ramp. The announcers claimed that it was clear Gallows was focused on finding out who was responsible for the attack on his tag team partner. A screenshot of the main event is shown as the show goes to commercials.
Returning from the break, a video recap is shown of the main event from Canadian Collison. When the video ends, Brooke Barlow is seen with Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode. Brooke asks Bobby about his use of weapons on Saturday night, ensuring that he kept the title. Roode says that in the weeks leading up to Saturday night, he tried to take the high road; to be the champion everyone could admire. That all changed last week, when Barrett attacked him with a steel chair. Roode says that Barrett wanted to send a message. Well, Roode sent his message last and clear on Saturday night. Tonight, he and Barrett find themselves locked inside a steel cage. Roode wants to see who’s man enough to leave with the title around his waist.
Steel Cage Match for the PCW Heavyweight Title Bobby Roode pinned Wade Barrett after a powerslam in 10:17. Rating: ** ¾ (Bobby Roode retained the HWL Heavyweight Title.)
After nine grueling minutes and countless near escapes, Barrett looked poised to make his way out of the ring and become the new Heavyweight Champion. As he made his was towards the cage door, LUKE GALLOWS made his way to ringside. As Barrett stood and leaned through the ropes on his way to exiting the cage, Gallows smashed the door into Barrett’s skull! Barrett stumbled back into the ring, where Roode powerslammed him and made the cover, retaining the Heavyweight Title!
After the match, Gallows left ringside as the referee awarded Roode the title belt. The shows goes off the air with Roode celebrating in the middle of the ring.

-PCW Commissioner, Rex Butler comes out to the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Butler announces that the answer to that question will be given, later tonight, as he has signed a Number One Contenders’ Match for the main event. He announces that, tonight, Kenny King will take on James Storm for the chance to main even “Hollywood Hatred”. Butler leaves the ring as the show goes to commercials.
Martin Kirby pinned Drew McIntyre after a knockout punch in 9:23. Rating: ****
-Coming back from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen backstage with Kenny King and Rhett Titus. They are seated in a room somewhere in the arena. Brooke says that, after the events that took place last week, Titus requested the chance to have a sit-down conversation with King, to air out everything that’s on his mind. Titus repeats his frustrations with not being able to win the Tag Team Titles, feeling that he and King were clearly the better team. Titus tells King that they’ve been teaming for a long time, but that Titus doesn’t feel like King has been pulling his weight lately. King says he’s sorry Titus feels that way, but says he’s been working just as hard as Titus. King even says that, later tonight, he’s got a chance to earn a shot at the Heavyweight Title, so he must be doing something right. King says, on the off chance that he doesn’t win tonight, he has talked to Commissioner Butler, and he and Titus will have a tag team match next week. Another chance to get back on the same page.
Kelly Kelly & Tamina defeated Bayley & Beth Phoenix when Kelly pinned Beth after a Frankensteiner in 9:13. Rating: * ¾
-Coming back from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen backstage with Luke Gallows, who gives an update on Kazarian. Gallows says that he’s back in California, recovering at home. He says that Kazarian has every intention on being back before Hollywood Hatred; and that they have every intent to take the Tag Team Titles away from Martin Kirby and Wade Barrett. As Gallows goes to leave, Kirby and Barrett jump him from behind! They send him into a concrete wall in the hallway, before laying into him with a number of stomps. Butler announces the four participants: David Hart Smith, Justin Gabriel, David Otunga and The Big Show.
Commercial Break
Martin Kirby defeated Alex Payne via pinfall in 10:06. Rating: ** [Wade Barrett interfered against Alex Payne.]
Martin Kirby made his singles debut last week with a very impressive victory over Drew McIntyre. This week, he stepped in the ring against Alex Payne, who has been struggling as of late. On paper, Kirby would have had no problem defeating Payne, but matches aren’t won on paper. Payne proved to be a tougher opponent than Kirby had been expecting, and nearly picked up an upset on a couple occasions. However, Kirby fought back and took advantage late. He threw Payne out of the ring but the referee stopped him from going after him. This allowed Wade Barrett to show up and clock Payne with the Tag Team Title belt. Barrett rolled Payne back into the ring, where Kirby made the easy pin for the victory. Kirby leaves the ring, grabbing his title belt, and joins Barrett in the aisle, to a round of boos, as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen with Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix. Brooke asks how Beth is feeling this week after she and Bayley came up short last week against Kelly Kelly and Tamina. Before Beth can answer, Tamina interrupts the interview and tells Beth to get used to coming up short because that’s exactly what she’s going to do at Hollywood Hatred. Tamina says she’s a forced to be reckoned with, and that soon the Women’s Title will be around her waist. Beth goes to respond, but Tamina slaps her across the face. The two women begin brawling. Beth holds her own until Tamina throws her into a steel loading door. Beth lays motionless on the ground as Tamina limps away.
Melina pinned Nikki Bella with the Sunset Split in 8:24. Rating: * ½
Since joining the PCW roster, Nikki Bella has been a little less than champion-like. Coming into this match, Nikki was still looking to pick up her first victory, and a victory over Melina would be a good step in the right direction. Melina, on the other hand, comes into this match looking to solidify herself atop the list of women vying for a shot at the Women’s Champion – whether that be Beth Phoenix or someone else- when the time comes. That goal seems to propel Melina as of late, and it did so tonight, as she picked up a victory over the HWL Women’s Champion after hitting the unique Sunset Split.
Commercial Break
Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder defeated The All-Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King) when C. Hawkins pinned R. Titus after an STO in 10:39. Rating: ** ½
In the on-going drama between Titus and King, they’ve had their ups and downs as it concerns their aspirations of acquiring the Tag Team Titles. Last week, King had his chance to earn at a shot at the Heavyweight Title. That fell through, but King had promised he would be ready to go this week. The only thing that it seems he and Titus were not ready for were Hawkins and Ryder, who were making their debuts tonight. Hawkins and Ryder used a number of double teams to keep their opponents separated, singling out Titus throughout the match. Interestingly, whenever the referee’s back was turned, either Hawkins or Ryder would work on untying the corner padding in the turnbuckle. This would be instrumental as, while the referee was trying to get King back onto the apron, Ryder sent Titus into the corner with a Snake Eyes, only for Hawkins to hit the STO for the victory! After the match, Hawkins and Ryder leave the ring to a chorus of boos. They make their way up the aisle as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome Kazarian, who is live, via satellite, from his home in California. Kazarian announces that he’s doing fine after the attack by Martin Kirby and Wade Barrett two weeks ago. He says that the doctors have told him he could return to action soon, but no time table has been set just yet. Kazarian calls out Kirby and Barrett and says that their actions two weeks ago – and what they did earlier tonight – only prove how childish they are. He says that Kirby and Barrett are afraid that Kazarian and Luke Gallows will beat them for the Tag Team Titles, so they’re doing everything they can to make sure that doesn’t happen. Kazarian promises to be back, stronger, and ready to make Kirby and Barrett pay.
Fatal 4 Way Match Justin Gabriel defeated David Hart Smith, David Otunga, and The Big Show: X D. Otunga beat D.H. Smith via disqualification in 3:03. X Show beat D. Otunga via disqualification in 7:10. X J. Gabriel beat Show vs. the 450 Splash in 9:22. Rating: **
It all came down to this! Four men battling for the chance to face Drew McIntyre, next week, with a shot at the Television Title on the line. Questions abound as to what condition McIntyre will be in after the attack by Wade Barrett earlier tonight but tonight, his challenger was crowned. In a match with such huge implications, it was shocking to see second-generation star Smith get disqualified for not breaking the referee’s five count. Smith shared words with the referee as he was escorted to the back. But it would appear that the DQ bug infected Otunga from that point. In a match with The Big Show, it’s always best to find a way to get him off his feet. But Otunga’s decision to use a chair, hitting Show in the back of the knee, is not advisable. The move that Otunga escorted from the match as well, wasting his chance for a shot at championship gold! This left a hobbled Big Show and the speedy Gabriel in the ring. After the chairshot, Show was not able to move around as quickly, and this allowed Gabriel to use speed to his advantage. Gabriel wobbled Show with a second-rope dropkick before chop-blocking him to the canvas. This set up Gabriel’s 450 Splash was he hit for the victory! After the match, Gabriel exited the ring and celebrated in the aisle as the show went off the air.

Butler says that, during the backstage altercation between Tamina and Beth Phoenix, Tamina suffered a torn calf muscle. Due to that injury, Tamina will be road for an indefinite amount of time. As of now, there is no challenger for the Women’s Title. Butler announces that, tonight, a Fatal Four Way Match will take place to determine will who face Phoenix for the title in 11 days.
Commercial Break
David Otunga pinned Martin Kirby with the Verdict in 16:02. Rating: ** ¾
David Otunga came into this week looking to right his wrongs after getting DQ’d during the Fatal Four Way Match last week. Kirby was looking to continue his winning way, hopefully without help from his tag partner Wade Barrett. In a grueling match, that saw a number of near falls, Otunga connected with The Verdict for the 1-2-3. After the match, as Otunga celebrated in the ring, THE BIG SHOW attacked him from behind! Otunga tried to fight back, but a huge right hand put an end to that! Show stood over Otunga as we go to commercials.
Commercial Break
Backstage, we see Rhett Titus approach Kenny King. Titus says he wants to talk about what happened last week. King says it was a tough loss but knows that they can get their victory back the next time they face Hawkins and Ryder. Titus says there isn’t going to be a next time before attacking King! The two men brawl backstage before security and HWL personnel pull them apart.
Fatal Four Way Match Kelly Kelly defeated Bayley, Nikki Bella, and Melina: X Kelly beat Bayley via a Frankensteiner in 17:13. X Kelly beat Nikki via the K2 in 31:33. X Kelly beat Melina via the K2 in 34:51. Rating: * ¾
In a shocking display of fortitude, Kelly Kelly came out firing on all cylinders! In a match with so much on the line, Kelly proved that she certainly wanted it more. In the end it came down to Kelly and Melina, who as of late, has been on quite a tear lately. But, no matter what Melina was able to do, it wasn’t enough to keep Kelly down for long. Kelly hit the K2 to finally end things after half an hour! After the match, Kelly needed assistance from the referee to exit the ring, but nonetheless, she left with a shot at the Women’s Title on the horizon.
Commercial Break
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. Hawkins says that many people in the PCW may not recognize them, but that they are far from new. Hawkins says that they might not have gotten a chance anywhere else, but this time will be different. Ryder says that instead of waiting for someone to give them a chance, they are going to take it when the time is right. Ryder says that they picked up a win their first night in, but that it’s not going to stop there – and that they won’t be satisfied – until they are the PCW Tag Team Champions.
Wade Barrett pinned Luke Gallows with the Wasteland in 10:53. Rating: * ¼ [Martin Kirby interfered against Luke Gallows.]
Ever since becoming the number one contenders for the Tag Team Titles, Luke Gallows and Kazarian have had their hands full with the champions. Barrett and Kirby put Kazarian on the shelf two weeks ago, with a vicious attack backstage, and tonight Gallows was looking to avenge his partner. That wasn’t the case tonight as MARTIN KIRBY ran down to the ring, while Barrett had the referee distracted, and cracked the title belt over Gallows’ head! This opend up Gallows to fall victim to the Wasteland for the 1-2-3. After the match, Kirby and Barrett began to lay out Gallows until KAZARIAN ran down from the back and cleared the ring! Kazarian stood over his partner as the champions escaped down the aisle, as we go to commercials.
Commercial Break
Backstage, The Big Show confronts Commissioner Rex Butler. Butler says that Show was out of line earlier tonight. Show says he doesn’t care whether he was out of line or not. He says that David Otunga cost him a shot at the Television Title and demands a match against Otunga next Saturday night at Hollywood Hatred.
Television Title – Number One Contenders Match Drew McIntyre defeated Justin Gabriel when J. Gabriel passed out in an armbar submission in 4:02. Rating: **
Last week, Justin Gabriel won a grueling Fatal Four Way Match for the chance to face McIntyre tonight. Gabriel’s success last week didn’t last nearly as long this week, as McIntyre focused heavily on Gabriel’s arm, before locking in the armbar. A lot of credit to Gabriel for not tapping out, but he was unable to answer the referee’s call, therefore rewarding the match – and a title shot – to the Scotsman.
Card rating: * ¾
Card Observations: After the show, it was announced on the PCW website that, at Hollywood Hatred, The Big Show and David Otunga would face off in a singles matchup.
And, after making his return to save his tag team partner, Kazarian has been signed to a singles match against one-half of the Tag Team Champions, Martin Kirby, next week in Salem, VA.

Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode makes his way out to the ring as the show begins this week. Roode says that there are only four days remaining until he puts the title on the line against his tag team partner James Storm. He says that ever since Storm won the right to challenge Roode this Saturday night, no one has gotten a word out of Storm. Roode calls out Storm to do just that. Roode says that Saturday will be the first time in a while since they’ve stood across from each other and done battle. Storm says that he’s been waiting for a day to challenge for the Heavyweight Title, and it was about time for him to get his shot. Now that he does, it jus happens to be against someone he’s travelled the world with. Storm says, “Sorry ‘bout your damn luck,” to Roode because he knows Roode better than anyone else on the roster. Storm says it’s gonna be a hell of a fight and offers to shake Roode’s hand. Roode accepts and wishes Storm good luck because “you’re gonna need it.” Roode short arm lariat’s Storm to the canvas and leaves the ring to a roar of boos from the crowd. Storm gets to his feet, rubbing his jaw, as we go to commercials.
Commercial Break
Harlem Bravado pinned Rhett Titus with the X Marks The Spot in 16:09. Rhett Titus suffered a larynx injury. He will be out for 1 week. Rating: ** ¼
Bravado and Titus got the last show before Hollywood Hatred off to a good start with a start opening match. Bravado tossed Titus through the ropes, to the concrete at ringside, late in the match. While he was distracting the referee, KENNY KING appeared from the audience. King picked Titus up and dropped him throat-first onto the metal guardrail at ringside! King rolled Titus back into the ring, where Bravado hit the X Marks The Spot for the victory. After the match, Titus was in the ring holding his throat, as the referee called for medical personnel. They worked on clearing a passage for Titus to breathe before putting him on a gurney and rolling up backstage as we go to commercials.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow congratulates Kelly Kelly on becoming Number One Contender for the Women’s Title. Kelly says that she was fortunate to come out on top last week. She says that the opportunity might not have come up had Tamina not gotten hurt, but she is not going to waste this chance.
Non-Title Match Beth Phoenix defeated Melina by disqualification in 8:14. Rating: **
For weeks now, Melina has been proving that she is eager to get a shot at the Women’s Title in the near future. A week after finishing second in a Fatal Four Way match for a title shot Melina got her chance to prover herself against the Champion. It didn’t go as well as she would have imagined, as nothing she gave Beth was enough to put her away. Frustrated, Melina got herself disqualified by not releasing a choke by the referee’s five count. After the match KELLY KELLY ran down and cleared the ring, standing over her opponent at Hollywood Hatred, as we go to commercials.
Commercial Break
The A-List Knockouts (Chris Hero & David Otunga) defeated Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder when D. Otunga pinned C. Hawkins with the Verdict in 21:13. Rating: *** ½
Hawkins and Ryder were impressive in their debut match last week, but tonight they had a little tougher competition. Hero and Otunga have been teaming together for some time now, and have both received a lot of success on their own. A victory for the newcomers would have been a huge mark on their early records and would propel them up the ladder in short time. Howver, they were unable to pick up the victory tonight, as Otunga hit the Verdict on Hawkins after the referee allowed the match to continue past the time limit. Even though they didn’t pick up the victory tonight, Hawkins and Ryder put on another impressive showing. This might not be the last time these two teams face off against each other.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow catches up with David Otunga as he and Chris Hero come back from the ring. Brooke asks if Otunga has an answer to the challenge issued by The Big Show last week. Otunga accepts the challenge and promises that the Big Show will be disappointed once again.
The Big Show defeated Alex Payne after a hiptoss in 12:44. Rating: * (Cody Rhodes no-showed.)
The Big Show was expecting to square off against Cody Rhodes here tonight, but due to some unforeseen travel issues, Rhodes was unable to make it to Salem. Instead, Alex Payne took Rhodes’ spot, much to the enjoyment of the Largest Athlete in the World. Big Show spent a majority of the match toying with and manhandling Payne, clearly trying to send a message to David Otunga who had accepted Big Show’s challenge just before this match. In the end, after a hiptoss, Big Show waited for Payne to get back to his feet, but it was clear the youngster had had enough. Big Show placed his foot on Payne’s chest as the referee counted the 1-2-3.
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, a recap of the altercation between Bobby Roode and James Storm is shown. A preview for Hollywood Hatred follows, as it’s announced that in six days, former friends and tag team partners will face off for the PCW Heavyweight Title!
Kenny King pinned Wade Barrett with the Coronation in 17:13. Rating: *** ¼
Kenny King spent most of his night causing issues, mainly for Rhett Titus. After sending his former partner away on a gurnery with possibly throat damage, King found himself in the ring with one-half of the Tag Team Champions in tonight’s main event. Barrett was looking to get a victory heading into his and Martin Kirby’s title defense against Luke Gallows and Kazarian, but after a long and entertaining match, King ended those hopes with the Coronation for the 1-2-3.

PCW Hollywood Hatred PPV – October 13, 2012 – Rabobank Arena, Bakersfield, CA Announcers: Alfred Pressley & James Westerfield Attendance: 1,768
Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to Bakersfield, just outside of Los Angeles. Tonight, there are going to be six matches, including three big title matches! It is announced that, due to the injury suffered at the hands of Kenny King last week, Rhett Titus is at home recovering. Therefore, Peter Bradshaw signed a match between Nikki Bella and Melina to will a spot in the schedule. That match is now!
Melina and Nikki Bella battled to a double count out in 10:52. Rating: * ¼
Melina and Nikki Bella both came up short in the number one contenders’ Fatal 4 Way match a couple weeks ago, as both were aiming for a shot at Beth Phoenix. During that match, these two went after each other tooth and nail, with Melina ultimately eliminating Nikki from the match. There was certainly no love lost as this match quickly went outside the ring, where neither woman cared about the referee’s 10-count. Nikki threw Melina into the ring post and began a vicious attack. Nikki slammed Melina’s head into the ring post as the referee tried to pull her away. Eventually, HWL officials came to ringside, and escorted Bella backstage as the referee tended to Melina.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow was with Kelly Kelly. Kelly said that her winning the Fatal 4 Way last week was nothing shocking, and anyone who was shocked could kiss her backside. Kelly said that she has never been given much credit since she entered the business, and that’s fine. She claimed that everyone else was just jealous of her looks, her age, and the fact that she has her whole career in front of her. Kelly said that she doesn’t need anyone’s congratulations… all she wants is the Women’s Title.
Women’s Title Match Beth Phoenix defeated Kelly Kelly by disqualification in 13:49. Rating: * ¼ (Beth Phoenix retained the Women’s Title.)
Kelly Kelly’s chance at winning the Women’s Title went up in smoke in the blink of eye. After having a relatively dominating performance, Kelly quickly became frustrated as she couldn’t put the champion away. This led to her pushing down referee Charles Robinson and getting herself DQ’ed. After the match, Kelly went on to attack Beth, screaming that the title should be hers. NIKKI BELLA ran down and cleared Kelly out of the ring. Bella stood over Beth as she stared at Kelly.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with the Tag Team Champions, Martin Kirby and Wade Barrett. Brooke asks about having to face Kaz and Luke Gallows at full-strength now that Kaz has returned from his injury. Kirby and Barrett laugh off the idea of Kaz and Gallows being a “full-strength”. Barrett said he beat Gallows two weeks ago at full strength, so that’s not a problem. Brooke reminds him that Kirby interfered in that match, and Barrett quickly ends the interview, as he and Kirby walk away disgusted.
Tag Team Title Match The British Bad Guys (Martin Kirby & Wade Barrett) defeated Kazarian & Luke Gallows when M. Kirby defeated Gallows by disqualification in 27:33. Rating: ** ½ (The British Bad Guys retained the Tag Team Titles.)
This was a match many people were waiting to see. The hopes of seeing Kazarian return from injury to get redemption on his attackers would be a highlight of the night. But, unfortunately, Kazarian didn’t have a part in the outcome. After nearly 30 minutes of action, something got to Gallows, whether frustration or desperation. After a kick out by Kirby, Gallows turned his ire to the referee, shoving him down to the canvas. The referee quickly called for the bell. Kirby and Barrett escaped from ringside before any further damage could be done. Kazarian entered the ring and wanted to know what had gotten into Gallows. Kazarian paced around the ring, shaking his head, as the cameras go backstage.
A video is shown, recapping the feud between David Otunga and The Big Show.
The Big Show defeated David Otunga when D. Otunga passed out in a cobra clutch in 18:07. Rating: ½*
Try as he might have tonight, David Otunga found out why it’s never a good idea to upset the biggest athlete n professional wrestling. Otunga did not show any sign of fear going up against Big Show tonight, but his determination quickly ran out as nothing Otunga tried was able to put the big man down. Big Show, on the other hand, quickly took control as he realized Otunga was fading, and instead of hitting a chokeslam, used a cobra clutch, causing Otunga to pass out to end the match.
A video is shown of Drew McIntyre defeated Justin Gabriel to become number one contender for the Television Title. After the clip ends, Brooke Barlow is with Television Champion Chris Hero. Brooke asks Hero how hard it is to prepare for an opponent in just four days. Hero says that preparing for an opponent is always a challenge, no matter how long you have. But, he said that being champion causes you to be prepared for anyone at any time. Hero gave credit to McIntyre for winning Tuesday night, but promised that he would have his work cut out for him if McIntyre wanted the TV Title.
PCW Television Title Match Chris Hero pinned Drew McIntyre after a powerslam in 12:48. Rating: ** ½ (Chris Hero retained the Television Title.)
Chris Hero retained the PCW Television Title after a very competitive match against Drew McIntyre. Hero continues his run as the longest-reigning Television Champion in PCW history.
A video package is shown, highlighting the events leading up to the Heavyweight Title Match. After the video, Brooke Barlow is backstage with James Storm. She asks Storm about the confrontation he and Bobby Roode had Tuesday night. Storm says that Roode has let the Heavyweight Title go to his head. Roode has become a different person. Storm says that he is still the same man he was when he walked in on Day One. Storm says that Roode showed his ass Tuesday night, which is fine… because tonight, Storm’s gonna kick it like never before!
PCW Heavyweight Title Match James Storm pinned Bobby Roode with the Last Call in 11:33. Rating: **** ¼ (James Storm won the Heavyweight Title.)
What a match to end the evening with! Storm and Roode went at each other like two brothers, and the sense was that this was a family fight. Having known each other for so long, both men knew what the other was going to do before they did it. But, in the end, Storm followed through on his promise and hit the Last Call to pin Roode to become a four-time Heavyweight Champion!

PCW Wrestling – 10/16/12 – Tucson Convention Center, Tucson, AZ Commentators: Alfred Pressley & James Westerfield Attendance: 2,041
-Highlights from Hollywood Hatred are shown. Alfred Pressley welcomes everyone to Tucson and is joined by James Westerfield at ringside.
-New Heavyweight Champion, James Storm, makes his way out to the ring. Storm says that it’s been a long time since he’s been able to carry this belt around with him. He says that this belt will surely be able to get a few rounds wherever he goes. Storm wants to thank the crowd and his fans for having his back all this time, and that tonight, he’s going to have a drink for all of them!
This brings out former champion, Bobby Roode. Roode mocks Storm and asks the crowd if they really feel that an alcoholic champion is what’s best for the PCW and for the Heavyweight Title. An “Al-co-hol!” chant breaks out and Roode says that the people in Tucson are degenerates. Roode says the real reason he’s out here is to enact his rematch clause. Roode says he doesn’t want to wait and he wants his shot right now!
Commissioner Rex Butler appears on-stage, interrupting Roode’s comments. Butler says that he has no problem allowing Roode to enact his rematch clause. The only problem is that it won’t be happening tonight. Butler announces that the main event for next month’s British Beatdown will be a rematch for the Heavyweight Title! Butler walks away, leaving Roode and Storm to stare at each other, as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
The Great Khali pinned Harlem Bravado with the Punjabi Plunge in 9:17. Rating: ½*
The Great Khali picks up a much-needed victory that will move him up the rankings.
Commercial Break
-Returning from the break, Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix makes her way out to the ring. Phoenix calls out Nikki Bella and thanks her for coming to Phoenix’s aid last week. Phoenix then says that she’s been doing a lot of thinking about her future and what she wants to accomplish. Phoenix says that she feels like she’s truly been able to do everything she wanted inside the wrestling business, and that her greatest accomplishment is having been honored to be the first-ever PCW Women’s Champion. Phoenix says that she informed Rex Butler earlier today that, at the end of October, she will be retiring from professional wrestling to focus on her family and other personal endeavors. Nikki walks over and gives Beth a hug. As they step away, Nikki holds onto Beth’s arm and connects with a lariat! Nikki grabs the microphone and challenges Beth to a title match in two weeks. Nikki then demands for someone to get Phoenix out of the ring because she has a match.
Commercial Break
Bayley defeated Nikki Bella by disqualification in 10:38. Rating: ¾*
Nikki’s aggressive attitude did her no favors in this match, after coming unglued and demanding a title match against Beth Phoenix. That focus on making her mark drew Bella’s attention away from Bayley, who was wanting to make a mark of her own, as she had been pretty silent lately. Bella realized she was losing this match, towards the end, and focused that aggression toward the newcomer, eventually getting DQ’d for not releasing a chokehold. After the match, BETH PHOENIX ran down and pulled Nikki off of Bayley. The two of them went after each other, with Beth finally hitting the Glam Slam. Phoenix stood over Bella and accepted her challenge. She then helped Bayley backstage as the show went to commercials.
Commercial Break
-Returning from the break, Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder tell Brooke Barlow they have a message to The British Bad Guys. Ryder says that they might be new on the PCW scene, but they’ve already gone out and proven that they can hang. Hawkins cuts in and says that, last week, they went over 20 minutes with the Television Champion and his no-good partner. He says they can do more than just “hang” with the tag division… they are better than any other team on the roster. Ryder then issues a challenge to The British Bad Guys for the British Beatdown event, for the Tag Team Titles.
Non-Title, No-DQ Match © The British Bad Guys (Martin Kirby & Wade Barrett) defeated Kazarian & Luke Gallows when M. Kirby defeated Kaz by count out in 42:45. Rating: ** ¾ [Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder interfered against Kazarian.]
After retaining the titles at Hollywood Hatred due to disqualification, Kirby and Barrett stepped back into the ring with Kazarian and Gallows tonight. With a win, Kazarian and Gallows would earn another title shot at British Beatdown. A match where nothing is off limits leads to some interesting things inside the ring, such as Kazarian and Gallows both putting their hands on the referee, which will lead to them being fined by Peter Bradshaw. However, nothing might have been more unexpected than the appearance of CURT HAWKINS and ZACK RYDER at ringside. At the end of the match, both men attacked Kaz and Gallows, allowing Kirby to re-enter the ring before the referee’s ten count. After the match, Hawkins and Ryder stared holes through the Tag Team Champions.
Commercial Break
David Otunga pinned Justin Gabriel after a running powerslam in 15:58. Rating: ** ½
Two weeks after coming up short in his bid for a Television Title Match, Justin Gabriel stepped back into the ring. After a very good showing by both men, Otunga caught Gabriel after an Asai moonsault from the turnbuckle and connected with a running powerslam for the 1-2-3.
Commercial Break
Kenny King defeated The Big Show by count out in 4:35. Rating: ½*
Kenny King keeps up his winning ways by taking The Big Show outside the ring and taking out the big man’s leg, making it harder for him to stand. King would routinely re-enter the ring to break the ten count before going back out and doing more damage to Show’s leg. Eventually, King re-entered the ring and stayed, as Show was counted out.

-The introduction video is played. Alfred Pressley welcomes everyone to The Rocky Mountains, just over two weeks away from PCW’s first-ever United Kingdom-based special event, British Beatdown! He just joined at ringside by James Westerfield. They talk about, how last week, Peter Bradshaw signed a return match for the PCW Heavyweight Title against James Storm and former champion, Bobby Roode.
-Peter Bradshaw makes his way out to the ring to start the show for the second week in a row. Since the Heavyweight Title match has been figured out, Bradshaw says there is another pressing mattered that needs to be addressed: who will Chris Hero defend the Television Title again at British Beatdown. There are only two men that are up to challenge for that opportunity, and they will be facing each other tonight for that chance: David Otunga and The Big Show!
Commercial Break
The Great Khali and Jack Swagger battled to a double count out in 14:34. Rating: -3/4*
In a match where both men were wanting to prove themselves, nothing was solved as The Punjabi Giant took matters into his own hands, tossing Swagger of the ring and inflicting as much damage as possible. Khali showed no concern about getting counted out, but he made certainly sent a message to “The All-American American”.
Commercial Break
-Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow asks Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix why she attacked Nikki Bella at the end of her match last week. Beth says she was trying to have a moment with her fans, announcing a change that will affect not only herself, but the PCW Women’s Title as well. Nikki ruined that moment. As a Champion, Beth says, she couldn’t stand by and allow Nikki to get away with that. So, she evened things up. And, next week, she will beat Nikki in the middle of the ring and retire as champion.
Kelly Kelly pinned Bayley after a Discus Punch in 6:10. Rating: *
Last week, Bayley got back on the winning track – albeit it by being choked out by an irate Nikki Bella. “The Huggable One” was hoping for a better outcome this week, but was rudely given the opposite, as Kelly Kelly connected with a vicious Discus Punch that knocked out Bayley, allowing for an easy 1-2-3.
Commercial Break
Number One Contenders Match Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder defeated Kazarian & Luke Gallows when Z. Ryder pinned Kaz after a running kick to the head in 12:15. Rating: ** ¾
After costing Kazarian and Gallows their match against the Tag Team Champions last week, Rex Butler signed an impromptu Number One Contenders Match between these two teams. Kaz and Gallows were obviously out for revenge, after having their chance for a title rematch so rudely taken from them. But, in the end, a running kick to the head took Kaz out of the match. Hawkins cleared the ring as Ryder made the cover, successfully claiming a title match for their team at the British Beatdown special event.
Commercial Break
-Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow asks Television Champion Chris Hero who, if anyone, he’d rather face coming out of tonight’s Number One Contender’s Match. Hero says that both men have qualities that can’t be ignored. First, The Big Show is the largest professional athlete in the world – that means something. There is a long history between he and The Big Show, so it wouldn’t surprise Hero if Show pulled out all the stops tonight. On the other hand, Hero knows what David Otunga can do in the ring. They’ve been tag team partners for a while now, and Hero knows that Otunga doesn’t get the credit he deserves/ He tells Alisha that both men are worthy of being Number One Contender; but he’ll deal with preparing for British Beatdown later tonight.
Number One Contender’s Match The Big Show pinned David Otunga after a cobra clutch backbreaker in 8:08. Rating: 3/4*
Nearly a month ago, David Otunga used a steel chair to take The Big Show out the Fatal Four Way Number One Contender’s Match heading into the Hollywood Hatred special event. Tonight, with his knee heavily wrapped up, The Big Show was determined to not have history repeat itself. Otunga was looking for his first real chance at singles’ gold in a while, but it wasn’t going to happen tonight, as The Big Show connected with a vicious cobra clutch backbreaker for the victory.
Commercial Break
Bobby Roode defeated Kenny King by count out in 14:22. Rating: *** [Rhett Titus interfered against Kenny King.]
Last week, Bobby Roode was granted a rematch against his tag team partner James Storm for the Heavyweight Title at the British Beatdown special event. Whether or not this rivalry over championship gold will truly affect their partnership remains to be seen, but Kenny King knows a thing or two about busting up tag teams. Tonight, King’s former partner RHETT TITUS returned from an injury sustained at the hands of King, to deliver an ounce of payback. Titus jumped the guardrail while Roode had the referee distracted inside the ring, and attacked King, throwing him into the ring post, which allowed Roode to win by count out. After the match, Titus told King that nothing would stop him from kicking King’s ass at British Beatdown!

-Kenny King makes his way down to the ring to start off the program. He grabs a microphone and tells the “truck” to run a video from last week. The video shows Rhett Titus returning from injury to interfere against King and getting him counted out against Bobby Roode. The video ends and, while chuckling, King asks Titus to come out to the ring. After a few minutes, Titus appears and makes his way inside the ring, standing face to face with his former tag team partner. King says he wants to tell Titus, to his face, that he accepts the challenge for British Beatdown. King says that he’s not going to lay a finger on Titus tonight, but promises, in London, he will end Titus’ career. King throws down the microphone and leaves the ring as the show goes to commercials.

No-Countout-Match The Great Khali and Jack Swagger battled to a draw in 20:00. Rating: ¾*
Last week, these two men were in a match that resulted in a double count-out. Commissioner Butler signed this match to better ensure that there would be a winner. However, that wasn’t the case, as neither man was willing to lose to the other. Khali used his size to overpower Swagger for most of the match, but Swagger was determined to not give in. Khali did hit a Punjab Bomb towards the end of the match, but before the referee could count the pinfall, the bell rang signaling the end of the match. After the match, Khali attempted to do further damage to Swagger, but the referee implored the big man to leave the ring.
Commercial Break
-Returning from the break, Nikki Bella is seen with Brooke Barlow. Nikki says that Beth can stand on her morals and claim that she was standing up for herself all she wants. Nikki says none of that will matter, after tonight, because Beth will be gone… and Nikki will be the new Women’s Champion.
Women’s Title Match © Beth Phoenix pinned Nikki Bella with the Glam Slam in 9:06. Rating: * ¾ (Beth Phoenix retained the PCW Women’s Championship.)
Nikki Bella was out to send a message to the Women’s division tonight, much like she did last week when she attacked Beth Phoenix and demanded a title shot this week. Phoenix got her retribution at the end of the show last week, accepting Nikki’s challenge. Tonight, the crowd was electric for Beth, knowing that tonight – one way or the other – would be her last appearance in PCW. In what must have been an emotional evening for the “Glamazon”, Phoenix was able to keep her composure and hit not one, but TWO Glam Slams, punctuating her victory tonight. After the match, Beth celebrated her victory as Nikki rolled out of the ring. REX BUTLER came down to the ring and hugged Beth, holding her arm in the air as the crowd cheered. A “thank you, Beth!” chant started as Butler escorted Phoenix out of the ring and up the aisle, as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
-Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder make their way out to the ring as we return from the break. They introduce a video that everyone should see and draws their attention to the Titantron. A video please from earlier today, of Hawkins and Ryder attacking Martin Kirby and Wade Barrett backstage. When the video ends, they tell the crowd they are out to challenge Kirby and Barrett for the Tag Team Titles tonight, instead of waiting until British Beatdown. So, if Kirby and Barrett want their revenge, there’s only one way to get it!
This quickly brings out the Tag Team Champions, who rush down to the ring and accept the challenge.
Tag Team Title Match © The British Bad Guys (Martin Kirby & Wade Barrett) defeated Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder when W. Barrett pinned C. Hawkins with the Wasteland in 10:27. Rating: ** ¼ (The British Bad Guys retained the PCW Tag Team Titles.)
Kirby and Barrett had no other option but to give Hawkins and Ryder a title shot tonight, if for no other reason than to get them inside the ring and enact some retaliation for the events from earlier in the day. The champions were certainly not at 100 percent coming into the match, but knowing that their titles were on the line, they fought tooth and nail. Hawkins and Ryder have showed progress since coming to the PCW, but tonight, even with the underhanded tactics they took before the show, they were unable to put the champions away. Barrett hit the Wasteland on Hawkins for the victory and another successful title defense for the British Bad Guys.
Commercial Break
-Brooke Barlow is with The Big Show as we return from the break. Show promises that, after he beats James Storm – and reminds everyone of how dominant he truly is, he will end Chris Hero’s reign as Television Champion at British Beatdown.
Non-Title Match David Otunga pinned © Chris Hero with the Verdict in 12:14. Rating: ***
After hearing that warning from The Big Show, Chris Hero stepped into the ring with his friend and tag team partner, who came up short last week for a shot at facing Hero at British Beatdown. However, after tonight, Otunga may have earned himself a shot if Hero is able to retain the title next Saturday night. After the match, Otunga and Hero shook hands in the center of the ring.
Commercial Break
Non-Title Match The Big Show pinned © James Storm with the Choke Slam in 15:14. Rating: *** ¼
The Big Show made his intentions very clear earlier in the evening, and a victory over the current Heavyweight Champion would go a long way to proving those intentions correct. Show, the longest reigning Heavyweight Champion in PCW history, is no stranger to holding championship gold. He is set to challenge for the TV Title next Saturday night against Chris Hero, who lost in the match before this one. As Heavyweight Champion, there is a lot of pressure on the holder of that title to take on challengers in all shapes and sizes. That’s what Storm was doing tonight, taking on the largest athlete in professional wrestling. The crowd knew he would be at a disadvantage tonight, and they were fully behind The Tennessee Cowboy. However, no matter what Storm tried to do, he was unable to get the best of the bigger man and succumbed to a Choke Slam.

-A video montage, showing highlights from Beth Phoenix’s time in PCW, is played as the show comes on the air. At the end, a picture is shown of Beth with the words “thank you” underneath. When the video ends, Rex Butler comes out to the ring, carrying the Women’s Title over his shoulder. Butler thanks Beth for all that she did in helping solidify the Women’s Division in PCW. He wishes her a great retirement. And, like Beth, who is entering a new chapter in her life, the PCW’s Women’s Division will be doing the same. Butler announces that an six-woman tournament will be held to determine who will become the next Women’s Champion. Butler says that he and Peter Bradshaw have signed three women – some who may be recognized, and some who might not – to bring new life to the Division. Butler says that tournament will begin tonight, and a new champion will be crowned Saturday night, at British Beatdown.

Women’s Title Tournament – Round One Natalya pinned Erica after a wheelbarrow faceslam in 6:07. Rating: ***
Natalya returned to the ring tonight, months after taking time off from her role as manager for Tyson Kidd in the HWL. Natalya is currently the longest-reigning Women’s Champion of all-time in the HWL, and it would appear that she is wanting to remake a name for herself in PCW. Tonight, she squared off with Erica, a relative unknown out of Tokyo. Even though she came up short, after her showing tonight, there might ba lot of people that want to get to know more about Erica.
Commercial Break
No-Time-Limit Match Jack Swagger pinned David Hart Smith after the Discus Punch in 10:03. Rating: ** ¼ (The Great Khali no-showed.)
David Hart Smith has not been in action since late September, when he was unable to become number one contender for the Television Title heading into Hollywood Hatred. Tonight, Smith was hoping to get back on track with a victory over Jack Swagger. Swagger, who had been expecting The Great Khali, didn’t seem too phased when Smith came out as Khali’s replacement. Swagger wasn’t too worried about the no time limit rule, connecting with a Discus Punch for the victory.
-Brooke Barlow asks Nikki Bella about the addition of her sister Brie to the Women’s roster and the possibility of facing her in the quarterfinals at British Beatdown. Nikki says that she and Brie are not on the greatest terms right now, so her addition to the roster really doesn’t mean anything more than there being another woman standing in Nikki’s way of becoming Women’s Champion. She says if Brie is able to advance tonight, than she looks forward to facing her inside the ring on Saturday night.
Commercial Break
-Brooke Barlow is with Rex Butler, who says that he has an announcement concerning the Tag Team Titles. Butler says since the titles were defended last week, Martin Kirby and Wade Barrett are awaiting new challengers. They will find out who those challengers are going to be, Saturday night, as Kaz and Luke Gallows will team up to take on The Bravado Brothers in a Number One Contenders Match at British Beatdown.
Lance Bravado defeated Luke Gallows via pinfall in 12:41. Rating: *
Having just been announced that they would be fighting each other in four days at British Beatdown, both men were looking to give their respective teams the advantage. Gallows was certainly trying to turn things around, as the last time he was in the ring, he and Kazarian were on the losing side of another Number One Contenders’ Match. The last time we saw Bravado, he was knocked out by Television Champion Chris Hero back in September. Tonight, however, against the bigger opponent, Bravado resorted to using the ringside area to get the better of Gallows. Bravado, at one point, even brought a table out to use, but after having used the announce table and ring steps, the table was not needed. Bravado rolled Gallows into the ring and made the cover.

-Bayley is backstage with Brooke Barlow as we return from commercials. Bayley is asked about Beth Phoenix’s retirement last week and her chances at becoming two-time champion. Bayley says that it’s difficult knowing that the only other person that believed in her is not in the locker room anymore; but that it was that belief that helped Bayley win her first Women’s Title. Now, having that confidence of being a past champion behind her, she has new competition to face, and she’ll need every ounce of that confidence because the path to getting to that Women’s Title isn’t going to be easy; but it will be worth it with when she gets to raise that title in the air for a second time.
Women’s Title Tournament – Round One Brie Bella pinned Bayley after a back elbow in 6:04. Rating: DUD
Bayley spoke about having the confidence of a champion and needing that as a tool to get past Brie Bella tonight. It would also be a good tool to overcome the loss to Kelly Kelly that Bayley suffered the last time she was in the ring, two weeks ago. Brie Bella comes into this match as a multiple-time Women’s Champion on the main HWL roster, adding a “change” to the PCW roster, joining her multi-time title winning twin sister Nikki, whom Brie will not be facing after beating Bayley in a match that was pretty well dominated by the newcomer. A Bella Twin Showdown will take place this Saturday night in London!
Commercial Break
-Backstage, Brooke Barlow asks Rhett Titus about his former partner, Kenny King’s threat from last week. Titus says that he truly thinks the only reason King said any of that is because Titus walked out to the ring two weeks after having his throat crushed and wasn’t backing down. Titus says that King has already tried to end his career and didn’t get the job down. Now he has no other option than getting into the ring with Titus on Saturday night and putting those words to the test. Titus says he doesn’t want to end King’s career… he just wants to shut his mouth.
The Big Show & Bobby Roode defeated Chris Hero & James Storm when Roode pinned J. Storm by pinfall in 16:41. Rating: *** ½
You could say that last week was a major disappointment in terms of how things were going for the top two men on the roster. Both Chris Hero and James Storm came up short in their matches a week ago, but with the possibility of them teaming up tonight, things seemed on track for them to right the ship. However, they were stepping into the ring with two men who know them very well. The same two men who will be getting respective title matches against Hero and Storm in just four days at British Beatdown. Though, no strangers to each other, having fought over the Heavyweight Title just a couple months ago, Roode and Show put their differences aside for the common good of getting one over on their opponents this weekend. Show, still limping ever-so-slightly on that injured knee, was able to inflict enough damage on the Heavyweight Champion, that after a short tag, Roode put him away for the 1-2-3.

PCW British Beatdown PPV – November 10, 2012 – Metro Radio Arena – Newcastle, UK Commentators: Alfred Pressley & James Westerfield Attendance: 7,150
-Opening video package is shown. The camera shows inside the arena. Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to Newcastle. Highlights are shown of the opening round match between Natalya and Erica from Tuesday night.
Women’s Title Tournament – Semifinal Natalya defeated Kelly Kelly when Kelly passed out in the Sharpshooter in 8:00. Rating: ** ¼
A good opening contest to start the show saw Natalya advance after locking in the family’s patented Sharpshooter. Natalya is still not showing any signs of ring rust as she now moves into the finals for a shot at the vacant Women’s Title.
-Backstage, Brooke Barlow asks Nikki Bella about having to face her sister, Brie, for the chance to move onto the finals for the Women’s Title tonight. Nikki says that she and Brie have had their differences within the last year; and that a lot of those issues revolved about a championship belt. She says that tonight will be no different, and that the better Bella will come out on top.
-A video package is shown of Brie Bella’s victory over Bayley from Tuesday night.
Women’s Title Tournament – Semifinal Brie Bella pinned Nikki Bella with the Bella Buster in 6:24. Rating: **
In this latest chapter of the HWL’s on-going sibling rivalry, Brie picked up the victory after hitting the Bella Buster on her sister. Brie moves onto the finals, where she will face Natalya for the vacant Women’s Title later tonight.
-Backstage, Martin Kirby enters the locker room with a solemn expression. He tells Wade Barrett that there’s something they need to discuss on the way to Commissioner Butler’s office. Barrett asks what’s going on, and Kirby says he’ll explain everything on the way. They leave the locker room.
-Also backstage, Natalya is with Brooke Barlow, who asks how she’s feeling about making it to the final round with a chance at the Women’s Title on the line. Natalya says that it means a lot to have been away from the ring for so long and to see that she still has “it”. She gives credit to both Bella sisters, and says that Brie earned her way into the finals. Natalya says it’s been a long time since she was in the ring with Brie, but she knows that Brie will give her everything. The best woman will walk out with the title tonight.
Number One Contenders Match The Bravado Brothers (Harlem & Lance Bravado) defeated Kazarian & Luke Gallows when Harlem pinned Gallows with the X Marks The Spot in 10:42. Rating: ** ¼
As of late, these two teams have been struggling to make a name for themselves in the Tag Team division. The Bravados do have a championship reign to their name; but it was short-lived. Ever since then, they have found themselves slowly crawling back up the ladder. Kazarian and Gallows on the other hand, have found themselves on the cusp of championship gold, but have come away empty-handed each time. A team that was thrown together in the hopes of added depth to the division, as quickly gelled, and have been trying to show they belong ever since. However, tonight, the team with experience carrying around gold walked away with the victory. The Bravados have now earned a shot at the team that defeated them for the Tag Team Titles.
-Backstage, the camera shows Martin Kirby and Wade Barrett walking towards Rex Butler’s office. Barrett asks Kirby if this is really what he wants to do, and Kirby says that there’s an opportunity for him… he has to take it. Kirby knocks on Butler’s door, and from inside, Butler says to come in. Kirby and Barrett enter, and Kirby asks if Butler is busy. Butler says he’s trying to run a show but can spare a couple minutes. Kirby says it wouldn’t take long. He says that he has already talked it over with Barrett, and that he wanted to come tell Butler face-to-face. Kirby announces that tonight would be his last night on the PCW roster; that he has received another offer that is going to take. Kirby says he knows he’s putting the Tag Team Titles in jeopardy but thinks Butler can figure out a way to work it out. Kirby turns and walks out the door with Barrett following after. The camera shows Butler silently nodding his head as we go back to ringside.
Match for Vacant Women’s Title Natalya defeated Brie Bella via pinfall in 8:04. Rating: * [Natalya won the PCW Women’s Title.]
Both of these women had a long night heading into this match for the vacated Women’s Title. Natalya had strong competition from Kelly Kelly, and Brie had the difficult task of having to fight her sister for the chance to advance in the tournament. It only made sense that the women in the Finals would have previous championship experience on the main roster, but it didn’t take long to see that Brie was resorting to underhanded tactics in an attempt to pick up the victory. Late in the match, as the referee was checking on Natalya, Brie pulled out a pair of brass knuckles from her tights and placed them on her hand. Quickly, NIKKI BELLA ran down to the ring and jumped on the apron, confronting her sister. The twins began to argue and Brie took a swing a Nikki. Nikki ducked and smacked Brie, causing her to stumble back and drop the illegal object onto the canvas. As the referee demanded Nikki to leave the ring, Natalya picked up the knuckles and used them on Brie, knocking her out cold! Natalya covered Brie for the 1-2-3 to become new Women’s Champion, albeit, under questionable methods.
-A video package is shown of the on-going feud between former tag team partners, Rhett Titus and Kenny King. The video shows King using a chair to injure Titus’ neck a few weeks ago. The final clip is of Titus’ return, last week, and his acceptance of King’s challenge for a match tonight.
Kenny King pinned Rhett Titus after a headlock takedown in 12:04. Rating: ** ¾
The animosity between these two started after a failed attempt to win the Tag Team Titles just over two months ago. All along King thought that Titus was the weak link, the one holding the team down for his lack of skills inside the ring. He made that fact known when he attacked Titus and challenged him to a match. But that match didn’t take place due to the vicious attack that left Titus with a serious throat injury. When Titus returned, he was determined to get revenge on his former partner, and the match was signed for tonight. Both men knew that bragging rights were at stake… the chance to walk away saying they were the better member of their former team. Titus held his own tonight, but an unfortunate ref bump turned the tide. After King shoved Titus into the referee, knowing the official down to the ground, King sent Titus to the concrete and used everything he could to beat Titus down. King grabbed a chair from under the ring, and for the second time, slammed it onto the ground, jamming the chair into Titus’s throat. King rolled a gasping Titus into the ring, just as the referee was getting to his feet, and made the cover for the 1-2-3.
-Backstage, Brooke Barlow is with Television Champion Chris Hero. Alisha asks how Hero is feeling, knowing he is defending his title against The Big Show again. Hero says that he’s been TV Champion longer than anyone in the history of the PCW, so he’s fought countless men over the months he’s had the belt. Hero says he’s not trying to brag, but says it’s a fact that there hasn’t been a single person to step into the ring and beat him since he’s become TV Champion. Hero says that The Big Show is a massive man, a huge opponent that he’s not taking lightly. Hero says he feels the odds are in his favor, and that he will walk out of the ring with the title.
Television Title Match Chris Hero pinned The Big Show with the Hero’s Welcome in 10:27. Rating: ** ¾ (Chris Hero retained the PCW Television Title.)
Chris Hero has fought all comers during his time as Television Champion. From smaller opponents, to the biggest men on the roster, Hero has faced whoever was next in line, and walked away successful. Tonight, he stepped into the ring with a very angry Big Show. For weeks, Show has been trying to claw his way back into the title picture – something he’s been trying to do since losing the Heavyweight Title. He finally earned that chance on Tuesday night, and was determined to make the best of his opportunity. However, Hero had other plans. Hero showed the resilience to take a lot of Big Show’s offense but keep coming back. Hero’s stamina is hard to match, and it ended up being the downfall for The Big Show. As Show was showing signs of fading, Hero connected with the Hero’s Welcome for the 1-2-3 and another successful title defense.
-A preview for the final special event of the year – End of the Line – is shown. End of the Line will be LIVE from Chattanooga, Tennessee on December 15th.
-Brooke Barlow is seen with Bobby Roode, as he prepares to face his former tag team partner for the Heavyweight Title. Brooke asks Roode how it feels knowing that tonight will be his last chance to challenge James Storm for the title if he is unsuccessful tonight. Roode says that he hasn’t thought about what happens if he loses tonight, because that’s not something that’s going to happen. Roode says that Storm has something he wants, and he’s going to get it back tonight. Roode says that Storm may be a four-time Heavyweight Champion, but everyone in this building knows that Roode is a better wrestler; and tonight, he’s going to prove it.
PCW Heavyweight Title Match James Storm pinned Bobby Roode with the Last Call in 15:26. Rating: **** ¾ (James Storm retained the PCW Heavyweight Title.)
With the pressure securely on his back of knowing tonight could be his last shot at the Heavyweight Title for the foreseeable future, Bobby Roode gave this match everything he had. James Storm also left everything in the ring tonight, showing that he would stop at nothing to keep the title around his waist, and be done with his former tag partner once and for all. The history between these two men, and how well they know each other, has been documented in their two previous match-ups; but tonight was no different. Clearly, the match of the night, the fans in Newcastle were on the edges of their seats as Storm connected with the Last Call… only to have Roode kick out just before the three. Roode found a second wind, and tried to fight back, but Storm was still the fresher man. After wearing Roode down again, Storm hit a second Last Call for the 1-2-3.

PCW Wrestling – November 13, 2012 – Capital FM Arena, Nottingham, UK Commentators: Alfred Pressley & James Westerfield Attendance: 3,500
-A highlight package from British Beatdown is shown. The announcers welcome everyone to Nottingham and announce that a nine-man battle royal will take place tonight, to determine a new number one contender for Chris Hero and the Television Title. Also, Hero will be in non-title action tonight, against Kenny King.
-Heavyweight Champion James Storm comes out to the ring with the title belt over his shoulder. Storm says he wanted to come out and say that he knew Bobby Roode was going to give everything he had inside the ring on Saturday night. Storm says that the man who wanted it more came out on top and stands in the ring as champion.
This brings out Kenny King who, from the stage, says that it’s pathetic that Storm comes out and gives praise to a man who was trying to take away his title. King says it doesn’t matter if Storm and Roode used to be partners; just like he doesn’t care that he and Rhett Titus used to be partners. King asks Storm if he saw what happened to Titus on Saturday night. King tells Storm that he tried to end his former partner’s career Saturday night – and feels no remorse about it. Now, King says, his sights are set on ending Storm’s title reign at End of the Line… that is, if Storm is man enough to accept his challenge. King leaves the stage as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
The Great Khali pinned Lance Bravado with the Punjabi Plunge in 10:14. Rating: ¼*
Lance Bravado had his work cut out for him tonight, going up against the Punjabi Giant and giving up a huge height and weight disadvantage. Bravado was able to get in some offense early on, but it didn’t seem to phase Khali. After he swatted away a dropkick attempt, Khali took over the match, eventually hitting to the Punjabi Plunge for the victory.
Commercial Break
-Brie Bella comes out to the ring and says that, for whatever reason, her sister Nikki decided to butt in on Saturday night, and cost her the chance to be Women’s Champion. Brie also says that Natalya knows Brie should be champion tonight and challenges her to a rematch at the End of the Line pay-per-view. But, tonight, Brie says she wants to take care of her family business and demands that Nikki come out to the ring. Instead, Bayley’s music plays and she makes her way to the ring for the next match…
Brie Bella defeated Bayley by pinfall in 5:24. Rating: * ¼ (Kelly Kelly no-showed.)
Brie Bella was looking for a fight after being screwed – in her opinion – out of the Women’s Title at British Beatdown. Neither of the targets of her aggression came out tonight, and the Vixen Brie was scheduled to face was nowhere to be found. So, the unenviable task fell to Bayley, who tried to hold her own, but wasn’t ready for the rage that Brie let loose. During the match, after choking Bayley to a four-count, the referee pushed Brie away to check on Bayley. Brie pulled out the brass knuckles she had on Saturday and connected with a right hand that send Bayley to the mat. Brie made the easy pinfall for the 1-2-3.
Commercial Break
-Returning from the break, the camera shows Rex Butler standing in the ring, between two pedestals holding the PCW Tag Team Titles. Butler calls out Harlem and Lance Bravado, who join him inside the ring. Butler says that, due to some unfortunate news that came about on Saturday night, he was forced to make a decision. He announces that his decision was to award the now-vacant Tag Team Titles to Harlem and Lance for their victory over Kazarian and Luke Gallows in the Number One Contenders’ Match from British Beatdown. Butler announces that, next week, there will be a match to determine new Number One Contenders, who will receive a title shot at End of the Line. He hands a title belt to each man and shakes their hands. The crowd boos as Harlem and Lance leave the ring and sit down at ringside with the titles in their lap.
Justin Gabriel & Drew McIntyre defeated Kazarian & Luke Gallows when D. McIntyre pinned Gallows with the Future Shock in 5:08. Rating: * ½
It was apparent from the start that Kazarian and Gallows were shocked at the news that The Bravados were now the Tag Team Champions. It didn’t make matters any better having the newly-crowned champions at ringside, as they took their chances to distract Kaz and Gallows throughout the match. This allowed Gabriel and McIntyre to take control late in the match, and McIntyre hit the Future Shock on Gallows for the victory.
Commercial Break
-Returning from the break, the nine wrestlers taking part in the battle royal are seen in the ring. The ring announcer goes over the rules for the in-house crowd and announces that the winner will receive a Television Title Match at End of the Line.
#1 Contenders’ Battle Royal David Otunga won a nine-man battle royal in 27:50. X L. Gallows was eliminated in 1:10. X J. Swagger was eliminated in 2:48. X J. Gabriel was eliminated in 4:40. X D. McIntyre was eliminated in 5:53. X Kazarian was eliminated in 6:54. X Khali was eliminated in 10:30. X Big Show was eliminated in 27:47. X D.H. Smith was eliminated in 27:50. Rating: ** ½
David Otunga picked up a huge victory tonight, out-lasting eight other superstars for the chance to challenge his tag team partner, Chris Hero, for the Television Title at End of the Line. During the match, Drew McIntyre and David Hart Smith went at each other like they were the only two in the ring, until The Great Khali intervened, using a big boot to send McIntyre over the top rope. However, when it was down to just Smith and Otunga, McIntyre came back to ringside, distracting Smith, allowing Otunga to hoist “The Canadian Bulldog” out of the ring! McIntyre made his way up the ramp as Smith fumed at ringside.
Commercial Break
-Returning from the break, a preview for End of the Line is shown. Kenny King will face Champion James Storm for the PCW Heavyweight Title, live from Chattanooga, TN on December 16th.
-Backstage, Wade Barrett is seen walking through the hallways, when he is approached by Bobby Roode. Roode says it looks like Barrett has some free time on his hands, now that his partner decided to give up championship gold for the chance to move up to the main roster. Roode says he has nothing planned for the End of the Line show, and that he knows both of them want to prove their worth when it comes to the Heavyweight Title. Roode challenges Barrett to a match at the pay-per-view before walking away.
Non-Title Match Kenny King pinned © Chris Hero after a superkick in 7:48. Rating: ***
Kenny King had quite the night tonight. He started off the evening by issuing a challenge to Heavyweight Champion James Storm for the End of the Line pay-per-view. And he finished the evening taking on the Television Champion, who has been virtually unstoppable as of late. Hero, in his own regard, found out earlier tonight that he will defending his TV Title against tag team partner David Otunga at End of the Line, and that fact may have stuck in Hero’s mind, as he appeared to not have King completely scouted. King shocked Hero with a superkick that allowed him to pick up the 1-2-3.

-Kenny King’s music plays as he makes his way out to the ring. In the ring, King grabs a microphone and says that the month of November has been a highlight of her career – and that it’s only going to get better. Ten days ago, King permanently put his dead weight tag team partner on the shelf, so he no longer has to worry about carrying Titus’ burden on his shoulders. He says that instead of telling everyone what he did last week, he wants to show them. A video plays of King hitting a superkick on Chris Hero and pinning him. King says last week he pinned the Television Champion in the center of the ring. He says at End of the Line, he’s going to beat James Storm and take his Heavyweight Title.
Commercial Break
-Returning from the break, Bobby Roode confronts Wade Barrett backstage. Roode wants to know if Barrett is going to answer his challenge or continue to dodge Roode. Barrett tells Roode that he will have his answer next week and walks off.
Drew McIntyre pinned The Great Khali after a forearm smash in 8:11. Rating: -* ¾
The Great Khali was looking to keep his winning streak going after a victory over Lance Bravado last week. It looked like The Punjabi Giant was poised to keep his streak live, but McIntyre showed a great deal of tenacity, kicking out of the Punjabi Plunge – much to the shock of Khali. McIntyre fought his way back into the match; the longer the match went on, the more it favored McIntyre. Eventually, Khali looked worn down, and McIntyre was able to connect with a stiff forearm smash to Khali’s head, picking up the 1-2-3.
Commercial Break
-Returning from the break, the camera shows Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield at ringside. They give an update on Kelly Kelly’s absence as of late, which they are now finding out is due to a lower back injury suffered at during her tournament match against Natalya at the British Beatdown pay-per-view. No timetable has been given for Kelly’s return, and they wish her a speedy recovery.
-Backstage, Brooke Barlow asks Nikki Bella if she has any comment to her sister, Brie’s challenge last week. Nikki says that she’s fine with Brie blaming Nikki for her loss at British Beatdown; but Nikki says she was doing the right thing. She had sat back for too long and watch Brie use dirty tricks to gain any success. So, Nikki accepts Brie’s challenge, and says that she will fight her sister next week.
Kazarian defeated David Hart Smith via pinfall in 6:45. Rating: ** ½
Last week, David Hart Smith had a very good showing in the #1 Contenders’ Battle Royal, ultimately being the final participant eliminated. Kazarian was eliminated earlier in the match and had a little more to prove heading into tonight. During the match, DREW MCINTYRE made his way to ringside, distracting “The Canadian Bulldog”. This allowed Kazarian to catch Smith off guard with a Discus Punch for the 1-2-3. After the match, McIntyre watched from ringside as Smith slowly made his way to his feet. McIntyre slowly walked up the ramp as the show went to commercials.
Commercial Break
-Returning from the break, David Otunga approaches Chris Hero backstage. The two men shake hands and Hero congratulates Otunga on his victory last week. Otunga says that he hopes Chris knows that their match at End of the Line is just business, and that he doesn’t want it to interfere with their partnership. Hero agrees and says that Otunga earned the right to face him. But, Hero says that Otunga will have to earn the right to call himself champion. He pats Otunga on the shoulder and walks away.
-A preview for End of the Line is shown. The event will take place, LIVE, from the McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga, Tennessee on December 15th!
Non-Title Match © James Storm pinned Wade Barrett with the Last Call in 10:06. Rating: *** ¼
Earlier tonight it was made very clear that Kenny King has placed a bullseye squarely on the back of James Storm heading into their match at End of the Line. Barrett also finds himself in someone’s crosshairs heading into the final special event of the year – Storm’s former tag partner, Bobby Roode. Both “marked” men put on what was clearly the match of the night. It ended with Storm hitting the Last Call to pick up a much-needed victory, match the win of King last week. After the match, ROODE made his way out to the ring, shouldering past Storm on the ramp. Roode entered the ring and stalked Barrett as he got to his feet. As he did, Roode connected with the Pay Off in the center of the ring. Roode leaves the ring a roar of boos as the show goes off the air.

PCW Wrestling – November 27, 2012 – Kohl Center – Madison, WI Commentators: Alfred Pressley & James Westerfield Attendance: 7,064
-Opening video package, showing highlights from last week’s main event.
-Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone back Stateside, live from the home of the Wisconsin Badgers – Madison, Wisconsin!
-Wade Barrett comes out to the ring to start the show. Barrett says he’s not happy tonight, and all he could do on the flight back to America was think about what happened to him last week. For weeks now, Bobby Roode had been trying to get an answer from Barrett to his challenge for End of the Line. Barrett says he was clear, last week, when he said Roode would have his answer tonight. However, it appeared that Roode just wasn’t willing to wait, and attacked Barrett after his match against James Storm. Barrett said that he already had a decision made in his mind, but the actions of Roode last week only made him want to come out here more tonight. Barrett accepts Roode’s challenge and reminds Roode that they’re going to be inside a steel cage – a place where, as of lately, Roode’s record isn’t all that impressive. Barrett wishes Roode luck tonight, against Kenny King, before leaving the ring as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
Brie Bella pinned Nikki Bella with the Bella Buster in 8:11. Rating: *
Two weeks ago, Brie accused her twin sister as being the reason she did not become Women’s Champion at British Beatdown. A challenge was issued, and tonight, the two stepped into the ring to see if Brie could get the redemption she was looking for, or if Nikki’s ideal of doing the right thing would pay off. Unfortunately for Nikki – and thanks to some underhanded tactics, including the pulling of Nikki’s shorts – Brie walked away with the victory.
-After the match, NATALYA appears on-stage with the Women’s Title over her shoulder. She wonders if Brie is proud of herself because Brie managed to cry and bitch her way into getting a rematch at End of the Line. Natalya says that’s OK though because she knows she doesn’t need to cheat to keep the title. She accepts Brie’s challenge and the two women stare at each other as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
-Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen with Drew McIntyre and Justin Gabriel. Brooke mentions the unlikely pairing of the two men and congratulates on their victory two weeks ago. Gabriel says that he’s been a part of the PCW since the beginning, and there’s a lot that he has accomplished during that time. Gabriel gives praise to McIntyre, calling him an up-and-comer. Gabriel says he do what he can to help McIntyre along the way. Brooke goes to ask Drew a question, but he gets blindsided by DAVID HART SMITH. Gabriel pulls Smith off, and two share words before Smith storms off.
Non-Title Match The A-List Knockouts (Chris Hero & David Otunga) defeated © The Bravado Brothers (Harlem & Lance) when Hero pinned Lance with the Hero’s Welcome in 8:04. Rating: ** ½
Two weeks ago, David Otunga earned the right to face Chris Hero for the Television Title at End of the Line. Tonight, the question was whether or not these two would be able to coexist as a team, knowing that they’d be battling each other in a couple weeks’ time. Against the newly-crowned Tag Team Champions, Hero and Otunga looked like they were in old-form, and it appeared that they had put their title match on the back burner. Hero put away Lance with the Hero’s Welcome for the victory.
Commercial Break
-Returning from the break, Heavyweight Champion James Storm makes his way out to the ring. Storm gives credit to Kenny King for his victory over Chris Hero two weeks ago but says King should be careful or his cockiness will get the best of him. This brings out King, dressed in his ring attire, who says that other people – like Storm – call it cockiness, but King calls it the truth. King says that, if he wasn’t already scheduled tonight, they’d go at it right now! Storm says he’s not a hard man to find and leaves the ring, joining the announcers at the broadcast table.
Kenny King pinned Bobby Roode after a spinning leg lariat in 11:13. Rating: ***
With his End of the Line opponent sitting at ringside tonight, after a heated confrontation pre-match, Kenny King pulled out an impressive victory over former Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode. After the match, King stood on the corner and taunted Storm. Storm stood up and motion for King to come fight. King left the ring and the two men stared each other down at ringside. Before anyone could throw a punch, officials rushed down and separated both men, receiving boos from the crowd. REX BUTLER appeared on-stage and announced that next week, King would team up with the man he defeated tonight – Bobby Roode – to take on the team of Wade Barrett and James Storm!
