I loved Sid Justice...far more than Sycho Sid. I actually liked both WCW and WWF around this time period. Probably why I have two circuits up here (WCW '92 is about 7 pages and down at the bottom of this page).
Thanks for the comments!

Snuka is way past savvy veteran at this point. You say that, but he is only two months away from becoming the first ECW Champion at this point (unless you keep him on the roster)...and win a second one later in '92. He's about 49 right there...which is REALLY only old for a "high flyer"...a gimmick tweak to a more savage brawling type focusing on his chops, kicks and headbutts and boom, career resurgence as a crazy veteran.

Superstars! Amarillo, TX | Feb. 15 1992 Commentators: Vince McMahon and Mr. PerfectVince McMahon welcomed everyone to today’s edition of Superstars! McMahon acknowledged that we will hear from Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice about the dastardly attack they suffered at the hands of the Nasty Boys and Jimmy Hart last week. Mr. Perfect said that the Nasty Boys are known for being wild and carefree, and this time it looked like Justice and Hogan were on the receiving end of it. McMahon once again pestered Perfect about what exactly was his part in the whole ordeal, but Perfect instead ran down the lineup of today’s card including the big six man tag between Team USA and Davey Boy Smith against the Berzerker and the Orient Express, IRS facing off against Kerry Von Erich, and Ric Flair will be in action as he goes one on one with “The Rocket” Owen Hart! IRS pinned Kerry Von Erich with the Write-Off in 0:06:53. Rating: * ¾ IRS and “The Texas Tornado” are both trying to fight their way into the title picture here in the WWF, and whoever won this match would take a giant leap forward. Kerry Von Erich had the crowd solidly behind him, but IRS was able to subdue that by slowing the match down and trying to keep it on the mat. This seemed to have worked because as the match continued it was obvious that Kerry Von Erich was tiring at a rapid pace. This eventually led to IRS blasting “The Texas Tornado” with the Write-Off lariat to get the three count. Bret Hart made Omar Atlas submit to the Sharpshooter in 0:03:00. Rating: ** Vince McMahon said that President Jack Tunney had finally come to a decision about the Intercontinental Title scene. With that, McMahon sent it to the President’s office. President Jack Tunney was sitting behind his desk where he issued the following statement. Tunney said that he had reviewed everything that was available to him, and due to the recent string of IC Title changes he had to make a decision about the challenger for Roddy Piper’s championship. Tunney said that at Saturday Night’s Main Event “Rowdy” Roddy Piper would face Ted DiBiase for the title. He said this was a tough decision to make, but DiBiase did have a pinfall victory over Roddy Piper on the February 3rd edition of Prime Time Wrestling in tag team action. Tunney wasn’t finished, however, as he acknowledged that both the Mountie and Bret Hart had a claim for the shot as well. Therefore, the Mountie will face Bret Hart at SNME with the winner becoming the number one contender for the IC Title held by the winner of DiBiase and Piper. Mr. Perfect thought that Tunney made the correct decision, but he figured Jimmy Hart would be throwing a fit backstage. McMahon figured that Bret Hart would be happy as he would finally be able to get his hands on the Mountie, but not give up his chance to regain his Intercontinental Title. Perfect considered what a match we could see if both DiBiase and the Mountie walked away victorious at SNME. McMahon did the same, only discussing what exactly would happen if Bret Hart and Roddy Piper won their matches. Perfect said that there was nothing he’d like to see more than Bret Hart and Roddy Piper tear into one another, but there was no chance that Ted DiBiase wasn’t walking out of SNME without the IC Title. Koko B. Ware pinned Todd Overbow with the Ghostbuster in 0:02:42. Rating: * Koko B. Ware has fully recovered from the beating he suffered at the hands of Ric Flair. He finished his opponent off with the Ghostbuster. Koko has started the slow climb back up the ladder. An advertisement aired for WrestleMania VIII on April 5th at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana. WWF Update! with “Mean” Gene Okerlund aired where he discussed the current feud between Shawn Michaels and Tito Santana. Okerlund said that he had tried to interview Marty Jannetty, but Jannetty had refused to discuss the Barber Shop incident with him at this time. Okerlund did say that Jannetty was still devastated that Shawn Michaels could turn his back on him, and not only that, but also attempt to take away his livelihood. Okerlund said that he was able to get in touch with Shawn Michaels’ original trainer, Jose Lothario. A pre-taped segment aired where Jose Lothario pleaded with Shawn Michaels to reconsider the path he was taking. Lothario said that he didn’t teach Michaels to be this way, and he was turning his back on everything he had taught him. Lothario told Michaels that the only way this path leads is darkness. He told Shawn Michaels to consider just what the repercussions his actions will have. Okerlund said it was heart breaking to see just how many people cared for Shawn Michaels, and what he is doing to them by turning his back on the fans, family, and friends. Okerlund hoped that Tito Santana would be able to knock some sense into him. Shawn Michaels pinned Rudy Gonzales with the Teardrop Suplex in 0:02:41. Rating: * ¾ Shawn Michaels spent the majority of the match flirting with a blonde woman at ringside. He didn’t seem to take his opponent very seriously, and it nearly cost him when Rudy Gonzales almost got a three count after nailing Michaels on the chin with a dropkick. Michaels got back to his feet, extremely upset, and finished Gonzales off from there. After the match Michaels posed in the ring much to the fans’ chagrin. Non-Title Match: The Legion of Doom (Hawk and Animal) defeated Khris Germany and Larry Williams when Hawk pinned Germany with the Doomsday Device in 0:03:17. Rating: ** After this complete squash the Legion of Doom celebrated in the ring with their Tag Team Titles. In what has become a common occurrence now, the lights began to flicker and chanting was heard over the loud speaker. The Legion of Doom seemed to not pay any attention, but McMahon and Perfect were once again taken aback by the eerie happenings. McMahon made sure to remind everyone that Animal will meet up with Earthquake on the upcoming edition of Prime Time Wrestling. Perfect said that on Monday Typhoon had already crushed Hawk, he didn’t see why things would be any different between ‘quake and Animal. McMahon told Perfect that you should never underestimate the Legion of Doom. On the interview podium “Mean” Gene Okerlund introduced both Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice. Both men looked very intense as they spoke with Gene. Hogan said that last week he and Sid had finally put their troubles behind them when those no good Nasty Boys stuck their noses in their business. Hogan promised that he could get just as nasty as them if he wanted and promised revenge. Sid Justice told Okerlund that the Nasty Boys went and made him angry and that is something you do not want to do. Hogan said that he was unsure if Mr. Perfect and Ric Flair had anything to do with it, but if he found they did that he would deal with them in due time. Justice challenged the Nasty Boys to meet himself and Hogan in the ring next week on Superstars! to face his wrath and justice. When they were asked about the upcoming tag team match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, both men said that they would be the one to make the pinfall and go on to WrestleMania VIII. There seemed to be a slight disagreement, but nothing came of it as the crowd cheered both men on as they posed to end the segment. Non-Title Match: Ric Flair made Owen Hart submit to the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:07:42. Rating: *** 1/4 Ric Flair has taken it upon himself to face several challengers that have been overlooked in the past for title shots. His match with Owen Hart was a non-title match, but if Owen Hart could pull off a victory it was a definite that he would be in line for a title shot. That would not be the case today, however, as Flair used his full repertoire of moves to damage the right leg of Owen. Owen Hart fought on valiantly; including hitting a missile dropkick that looked like it might put away the champion. Unfortunately, the move caused Owen Hart’s knee to give out. Flair immediately focused back in on the leg, and it wasn’t long before Owen Hart was forced to submit to the Figure-Four Leglock. Perfect said this was just a preview of what was going to happen at Saturday Night’s Main Event and then WrestleMania VIII. He said that Flair was going to hook Hogan in the Figure-Four, force him to submit, and then go on to WrestleMania and manhandle the Undertaker like no one has seen before. McMahon highly doubted that Flair would be able to get Hogan to submit to anything. Mr. Perfect responded by saying if that was the case then maybe Flair would focus his efforts on the weak link of the team, Sid Justice. McMahon thought Perfect was nuts if he considered Justice a weak link on any team. Tatanka pinned Ed Robinson with the End of the Trail in 0:01:50. Rating: * 1/2 IRS cut an insert promo during the match and said that the government had sent him here to take down all of the tax cheats in the WWF. He said that he found the worst of them all, a man that did not even pay his taxes. IRS told Tatanka that he doesn’t deserve the term ‘Native American’ since to be an American you need to pay your taxes! He promised Tatanka that he would pay his debts, one way or another. Tatanka had no problems with his opponent here tonight, but McMahon commented on how it looks like might need to deal with IRS and his accusations. Perfect claimed that it was no secret that most Native Americans are tax cheats and that it wasn’t fair to good, upstanding Americans like himself. McMahon told Perfect that he wouldn’t use Perfect as an example of an upstanding citizen. Sid Justice pinned Terry Daniels with the Power Bomb in 0:00:48. Rating: * This was not so much a match as a massacre. Justice grabbed a chair after the match and looked like he was going to attack his fallen opponent, but luckily officials stormed the ring to put a stop to it. Clips were shown of the challenge and acceptance of this match between Mr. Fuji’s men and Team USA. Team USA and “the British Bulldog” got quite the ovation as they came to the ring waving their respective flags. Mr. Fuji did not get quite the same treatment when waving the Japanese flag for the Orient Express and the Berzerker. Team USA (Jim Duggan and Sgt. Slaughter) and Davey Boy Smith defeated The Orient Express (Kato and Pat Tanaka) and The Berzerker when Bulldog pinned P. Tanaka with the Running Powerslam in 0:09:23. Rating: ** ¼ Mr. Fuji’s men really seemed to have things together for this match. Even the Berzerker was making quick tags in and out with the team of the Orient Express. They were eventually able to cut off the ring on Sgt. Slaughter and try to wear him down. Things took a turn for the better for Team USA, however, when Slaughter caught Tanaka and Kato and rammed their heads together. Slaughter was then able to make a diving tag to Davey Boy Smith. DBS entered the ring and nailed both members of the Orient Express with clotheslines, but this sent in the Berzerker. The Berzerker started to beat down DBS, but Team USA broke that up, and we had a donnybrook on our hands. Things eventually cleared out with Duggan and the Berzeker battling on the outside, and Slaughter and Kato wrestling on the apron. This allowed enough time for DBS to catch Tanaka off the top rope rope and turn it into his Running Powerslam. Mr. Fuji could do nothing but watch as his team suffered the loss. Davey Boy Smith and Team USA celebrated their victory by waving their flags around the ring. This was disrupted, however, when Pat Tanaka entered the ring and broke the Japanese flag over the head of Sgt. Slaughter. Slaughter fell to the mat as Duggan and DBS chased off Tanaka. It was quickly revealed the Slaughter was bleeding from a gash in his forehead due to the attack by Tanaka. The Orient Express and the Berzerker joined Fuji in celebrating in the aisle while Duggan and Smith checked on their fallen partner. McMahon called their actions reprehensible, while Perfect thought that Tanaka probably hadn’t realized that the match was over. McMahon said that it was pretty clear that this issue was not settled among Team USA and the Orient Express. McMahon told everyone to be sure to tune in to Prime Time Wrestling as the show came to a close. WWF Notes: A huge challenge has been issued for next week’s Superstars! Will the Nasty Boys accept Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice’s challenge for next week? We are getting closer and closer to Saturday Night’s Main Event and WrestleMania VIII. Every week takes us one step closer! On the upcoming edition of Prime Time Wrestling in our feature bout Randy Savage will be in action as he faces the “The Model” Rick Martel! Plus Savage will respond to Jake Roberts and the Undertaker’s invitation to a meeting at the Funeral Parlor on SNME! Animal will try and even things up for the Legion of Doom as he faces one half of the Natural Disasters, Earthquake! Also the Nasty Boys and Jimmy Hart will respond to the challenge by Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice! Be sure to tune in this Monday as we come closer and closer to WrestleMania VIII! Solid. Good match to open before going to the squash matches.
Khris Germany!
IRS-Tatanka is a mid-card feud that should actually work. Good angle by IRS.
Solid 6 man tag match to finish, another good build up for mid-carders which is hard to do.
I think I finally figured out the "eerie interruptions" duh...just had to think about it.

The IC Title feud is probably my favorite thing going on right now. I think it's leading to Piper/Bret at Mania, but it's been a nice journey to get there so far.
My guess is Sid turns on Hogan next week against the Nasties.
Keep it up. Looking forward to SNME.

Larkin:
- I'm assuming you used to be a fan of Khris Germany? I vaguely remember him as a jobber. Anything you remember about him?
- I usually like working on the mid-card scene more than the main events. I'm not sure why.
- Yeah, the lights flickering and stuff was never meant to be a huge surprise. It will probably revealed sooner than later.
Ryan:
- Yeah, the IC Title scene is fun. Lots of possibilities.
Thanks for the comments, guys!

Lots of possibilities. Thanks for the comments, guys! Well Khris was part of a tag team with Kit Carson, kind of a hardcore duo whose tag name escapes me at the moment. When I fell in with the John Fredrickson/Carl Todd world they were fairly big in that universe. I later used them as a tag team, I'm thinking late 90's. WCW 95-96 had the best mid-card I ever saw. The guys like Regal, Malenko, Benoit, Guerrero, Ultimo Dragon, etc etc, were the reason I tuned into Nitro. In my opinion the mid-card of the cartoon era WWF was always weak. The tag team scene though was probably one of the things I enjoyed the most, and tag teams tend to be mid-card.

Prime Time Wrestling Stamford, CT |Feb. 17 1992 Host: Vince McMahon Discussion Panel: Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby Heenan, Mr. Perfect Commentators for Matches: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan, Vince McMahon and Mr. Perfect, Sean Mooney and Lord Alfred Hayes[/b] Vince McMahon welcomed everyone to tonight’s show. All four men discussed the challenge from Sid Justice and Hulk Hogan towards the Nasty Boys. Bobby Heenan and Mr. Perfect both agreed that they were idiots to challenge a quality team like the Nasty Boys right before their big match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Gorilla Monsoon said that they would look pretty weak if they had just let the Nasty Boys attack them and do nothing about it. McMahon pondered if Justice and Hogan would be able to get along well enough to defeat such an experienced tag team like Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs. McMahon and Monsoon still seemed to agree that Perfect had something to do with Jimmy Hart’s team ambushing Justice and Hogan, but Perfect once again denied it. McMahon showed a clip from Superstars! where Pat Tanaka of the Orient Express blasted the Japanese flag over the head of Sgt. Slaughter. Monsoon said that he was sure that Slaughter would not take this lying down, but Heenan pointed out that it looked like from the video clip that Slaughter was laying down just fine. McMahon had heard through the grapevine that Sgt. Slaughter and Jim Duggan issued a challenge to the Orient Express for Saturday Night’s Main Event. And it was not going to be any regular match, but a Flag Match! Perfect laughed at the stupidity of Team USA if they thought they could actually handle Mr. Fuji and the Orient Express when their respect for their Japanese flag was on the line. McMahon sent it to the ring where the Orient Express were in action. The Orient Express (Kato and Pat Tanaka) defeated Brian Elmore and Dale Wolfe when P. Tanaka pinned Elmore with the Kamikaze-Plex in 0:02:46. Rating: * 3/4 Mr. Fuji cut an insert promo over his men’s match. He accepted Team USA’s challenge for a Flag Match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. He told Sgt. Slaughter that the wounds he suffered on Superstars! were only a fraction of what he’d endure on SNME. He ended it by saying he spits on the United States flag and saluted the Japan flag in his hand. The Orient Express easily defeated their opponents with their quick tag team work. It is pretty clear that Team USA will definitely have their hands full on Saturday Night’s Main Event. Col. Mustafa defeated BA Dalton when Dalton passed out in the Camel Clutch in 0:02:09. Rating: * “Mean” Gene Okerlund conducted an interview with the Intercontinental Champion, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, on the podium. Piper said that he did not care who it was that he faced for the Intercontinental Title as he would never let it go. Piper said it took him eight years of wrestling in the WWF to win championship gold, and he was enjoying himself just a little bit too much to give it back now. Piper promised that he would put DiBiase to sleep at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and the winner of the Mountie and Bret Hart would get the same treatment when they came for his title. Piper reminded DiBiase that it was he who trained Virgil when Virgil defeated Ted DiBiase at SummerSlam. Piper asked DiBiase if he couldn’t beat Virgil, how would he defeat the guy that had taught him everything he knew? Back in the WWF studios Bobby Heenan thought it was ridiculous that Piper would use Virgil’s match with DiBiase at SummerSlam as proof that Piper would win his match with DiBiase at SNME. Monsoon thought it was a pretty good point by Piper since Virgil cleanly defeated DiBiase in the center of the ring. Perfect and Heenan both laughed at Monsoon’s statement. McMahon thought that, all things considered, it will be a very competitive match between Piper and Dibiase at SNME. He then sent it to the ring where Piper’s former protégé would be in action. Virgil defeated Terry Daniels when Daniels passed out in the Million Dollar Dream in 0:02:05. Rating: * Handicap-Match: The Undertaker and Jake Roberts defeated Louie Spicolli, Ed Robinson and Barry Horowitz when J. Roberts pinned Spicolli with the DDT in 0:04:21. Rating: ** After last week’s massacre the WWF booking committee decided to pit three men against the force of Jake Roberts and the Undertaker. It did not seem to matter much as Roberts did not even tag out during the match. Eventually, after Roberts had played around with his opponents long enough, Jake “the Snake” finished Louie Spicolli off with the DDT. The Undertaker did not get his taste of blood tonight, so he caught Barry Horowitz before he could run off. Undertaker delivered a Tombstone to Horowitz while Ed Robinson ran back up the aisle. Paul Bearer entered the ring and used the urn to gain control of the Undertaker’s attention while Roberts sat in the corner laughing. Gorilla Monsoon seemed to be fearful for Randy Savage after witnessing what just happened. McMahon agreed that Randy Savage may be in way over his head. Heenan told McMahon and Monsoon that he had tried to warn them over the last few weeks that you do not want to get on either man’s bad side. Monsoon asked just how Ric Flair would be able to team with the Undertaker at Saturday Night’s Main Event? Perfect responded that he had actually taken Flair to meet the Undertaker over the weekend to discuss some strategy. A clip aired of Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect in what appears to be a locker room. Perfect told Flair not to worry about Jimmy Hart or the Nasty Boys when the Undertaker appears in with Paul Bearer right behind him. Flair tells the Undertaker that in their upcoming match he is the leader since he’s the champion. Flair said that he calls the shots and what he says goes. Ric said they did not need the roly poly at ringside since Mr. Perfect would be advising the team. Paul Bearer seemed to take offense to this as did the Undertaker. Undertaker quickly grabbed both Flair and Perfect around the throat and stared at them. Bearer told Flair and Perfect to not get in the Undertaker’s way at SNME and they would live to see the Undertaker become champion at WrestleMania. If they did anything to cost the Undertaker a shot at Flair’s title then they will be buried beside Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice. Undertaker and Bearer walked off while Flair and Perfect tried to regain their breath. McMahon sarcastically commented on how that seemed to have gone well. Perfect did not seem to get the sarcasm as he agreed with McMahon. Monsoon chimed in, quietly stating that the Undertaker was going to kill Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect. Bobby Heenan admonished Monsoon that it wasn’t even funny to joke about something like that. McMahon and Monsoon continued to pester Heenan and Perfect with the fact that the Undertaker might just be the one to get the deciding pinfall at SNME and go on to face Ric Flair for the title at WrestleMania. The Barbarian pinned Omar Atlas with the Flying Clothesline in 0:02:36. Rating: * The Barbarian was not accompanied by Ted DiBiase for his match tonight, but “Sensational” Sherri Martel was there. Sherri seemed especially happy after the Barbarian emerged victorious. She jumped into his arms and gave him a big hug around the neck, much to the surprise of the Barbarian. Comments aired from Randy Savage, who accepted the invitation for a special Funeral Parlor at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Savage told the Undertaker and Jake Roberts that he wasn’t afraid of them, but they should most definitely be fearful of him. Savage said he wanted to look both of them in the eye before he slapped the taste right out of their mouths. He said he was going against the advice of everyone to come to the ring alone at SNME, but he wasn’t coming to the arena alone. Back in the WWF studio McMahon said that he felt it was a mistake for Savage to put himself in harm’s way, but he understood that Savage felt like he had to do this to regain the respect and honor that Elizabeth deserves. Heenan told McMahon that Savage was nuts, and there’s tons of women out there just like Elizabeth. He saw one just on the corner as he was coming in to work today. Monsoon told Heenan to shut his mouth while Perfect laughed. McMahon sent it to the ring where Savage would be in action against a man that has been building some momentum as of late, Rick Martel. Randy Savage pinned Rick Martel with the Flying Elbowdrop in 0:09:31. Rating: ** 1/4 Rick Martel really took it to “Macho Man” here tonight. Savage seemed distracted as he constantly looked towards the aisle, obviously thinking about Roberts and the Undertaker. This allowed Martel to keep getting himself back into the match. This would only last so long, however, as Savage was able to bring his focus back to his opponent. Martel, sensing this, went to his bag of tricks and went to spray Savage in the eyes with his “Arrogance” perfume. Savage was able to duck out of the way, and Martel instead blinded the referee. Savage then grabbed the gun that Martel uses to spray the cologne and smashed it over Martel’s head. Savage climbed to the top and nailed Martel with the Flying Elbowdrop. It took the referee a couple of seconds to come around, but he was able to make the three count giving Savage the victory. Savage celebrated in the ring while his music played. He spoke into the camera that he was coming for Jake Roberts’ head. The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags) defeated Todd Overbow and Khris Germany when Sags pinned Overbow with the Flying Elbowdrop in 0:02:28. Rating: * 1/4 The Nasty Boys and Jimmy Hart cut an insert promo during their match. Jerry Sags told Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice that they made the biggest mistake of their lives by challenging them to a match. Brian Knobbs told them they would learn the meaning of ‘nasty’ after they got done with them. Jimmy Hart said that when he is paid for a job, he makes sure it gets accomplished. The Nasty Boys tore right through their opponents, and forced both of them to make a trip to the ‘Pit Stop’ after the match. McMahon told Perfect that he should just tell everyone that he had paid the Nasty Boys off to attack Hogan and Justice. Perfect reluctantly said that he and Jimmy Hart had come to an arrangement, but it was nobody else’s business. Heenan asked Perfect why he didn’t know about this, but Perfect was unable to answer as both Monsoon and McMahon told Perfect what a despicable human being he was. Perfect said he was being paid to advise Flair and make sure he remains the World Champion. There was nothing despicable about doing your job correctly. Hercules defeated Don Richter when Richter passed out in the Backbreaker in 0:02:08. Rating: * A WWF Update! with “Mean” Gene Okerlund aired, where he ran down the SNME lineup. He said that one match that everyone is looking forward to is the Tag Team Title match between the Legion of Doom and the Natural Disasters. He said that this match is impossible to predict as you have two teams that are nearly unstoppable. Okerlund then showed a clip of last week’s match where Typhoon defeated Hawk. “Mean” Gene said that Animal had demanded a match to get revenge for his team, and that was our feature bout of the evening. Earthquake pinned Animal after a failed bodyslam in 0:10:33. Rating: 1/2* Hawk and Typhoon both accompanied their partners to the ring, but within seconds they were brawling around ringside. This led to the referee ejecting both men from ringside, but Jimmy Hart was allowed to stay and cheer on Earthquake. Animal and Earthquake carried on a slower paced match than their partners did last week. They both tried to stay away from the big mistake that would cost them the match. Animal especially knew that he needed to win this match to get his team some momentum going into their big title defense against the Natural Disasters on Saturday Night’s Main Event. Things would not go his way, however, when he made a poor decision late in the bout. Earthquake had worked him over for quite a bit of the match with a bearhug, chinlock, and even a Canadian Backbreaker. Animal finally broke free and shocked Earthquake when he dropped him with three consecutive clotheslines. It looked like Animal might have things going his way when he made his mistake. Animal went to bodyslam Earthquake, but it was too much weight and Animal fell to the mat. Unfortunately for him that meant all 450 pounds of Earthquake fell right on top of him. Animal was unable to kick out before the referee counted to three. Jimmy Hart celebrated in the ring with Earthquake while Animal rolled to the outside. Animal was clutching at his ribs, but was soon joined by Hawk. The two men had seen enough of the celebration in the ring and blasted Earthquake in the back of the head with a double clothesline. Earthquake stumbled through the ropes and to the arena floor while Jimmy Hart bailed out. The Legion of Doom absorbed some cheers, but the Natural Disasters definitely have the momentum going into SNME in just two weeks time. Mr. Perfect couldn’t believe the cowardice of LOD to ambush Earthquake from behind like that. McMahon thought it was completely fair after what Earthquake did to Animal during the match and dropping all of his weight on Animal’s chest. Heenan was flabbergasted by McMahon’s reasoning. McMahon made sure to remind everyone that this week on Superstars! the Nasty Boys would be facing Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice. It’s a match you do not want to miss! WWF Notes: This week on Superstars! the Nasty Boys face off against the team of Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice. Hogan and Justice are looking for revenge after the ambush they suffered at the hands of Sags and Knobbs. This will also allow us to see how well they can team together going into their big match at SNME. Also on the show will be a Barber Shop with Brutus Beefcake talking to Tito Santana. Shawn Michaels will be there, so who knows what will happen? Next week on Prime Time Wrestling will be the go-home show leading into Saturday Night’s Main Event. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper will defend his Intercontinental Title against the Barbarian! It was just a few weeks ago when these two men fought leading to a disqualification victory for Piper. Now that the Barbarian has sided with Ted DiBiase and has Sherri Martel in his corner, will there be a different result? Sgt. Slaughter will also be in action as he faces Mr. Fuji’s Berzerker. And all of this leads into SNME which takes place on February 29th! And we are getting closer to WrestleMania VIII! Saturday Night’s Main Event (2/29/92):
Winner of the Fall Gets a World Title Shot at WrestleMania VIII: Ric Flair (w/Mr. Perfect) and the Undertaker (w/Paul Bearer) vs. Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice
World Tag Team Titles: The Legion of Doom© vs. The Natural Disasters (w/Jimmy Hart)
Intercontinental Title: Roddy Piper© vs. Ted DiBiase(w/Sherri Martel and the Barbarian)
#1 Contendership for the IC Title: Bret Hart vs. The Mountie (w/Jimmy Hart)
Flag Match: Team USA (Jim Duggan and Sgt. Slaughter) vs. The Orient Express (w/Mr. Fuji)

The thought of Barbarian and Sherri as a couple is hilarious. SNME sounds great from top to bottom. You've especially done a great job with the main event scene. Flair has to pick the lesser of three evils, and he'll be lucky to escape Mania with the title regardless of who he has to wrestle. Earthquake pinning Animal leads me to believe that LOD retains at SNME. Hell, I figured LOD would retain anyway, but that's not the point.

15.02 - I like how you give the IC title scene time and good storylines. I'll hazard a guess and say that it will be DiBiase vs Hart next time around.. Rudy Gonzales is Rudy Boy Gonzales? As in the same guy who trained Daniel Bryan at Texas Wrestling Academy? That's a nice easter egg Legion of Doom no-selling the flickering lights? I bet Sid's gonna turn on Hogan. A good main event where the babyfaces picked up the win. Doesn't seem as if they're done with the Orient Express though. I'm looking forward to SNME now, you're really good at slow build ups. I'm always having some trouble with developing storylines when there's six TV-shows between the PPVs, for some reason it's much easier with five.. 17.02 - Flag match! Having a patriotic gimmick must be the easiest way to get over. Wow - Jake the Snake winning in what was actually a 1-on-3 handicap match. I agree with Vince, Randy Savage may be over his head in this one. I'm not sure.. Savage is face in this feud, right? I really want to do a circuit with jobbers in it. But I may have mentioned this before. Now I'm really looking forward to seeing LoD against the Disasters. It can go either way I think, but I hope it's the LoD who gets the win. I've never been a big fan of big guys with limited athletic abilities. Is Mr. Perfect injured at this point in time? I mean, he hasn't retired yet, has he? Keep up the good work!

Ryan: Flair really is in a pickle here. There isn't a good choice. Thanks for commenting on the World Title scene. I was beginning to think a few weeks back that I might have been neglecting it to make sure the IC Title had been properly built up. Rey: I hadn't put two and two together, but you're right. It is Rudy Boy Gonzales. I was just looking for jobbers from the WWF in early '92 and came across him. That's a nice Easter egg that I didn't know was going to be one. Slow builds are easier for me to do. At least that's what it appears with the last couple of circuits I've done. I don't know if I'd be able to cram in all the stuff I'd want in just 4 shows before a PPV. Savage is most definitely a face. In late November '91 Roberts slapped Elizabeth. He also had his snake bite Savage on the arm. Tunney banned all reptiles from ringside after that. Roberts then joined forces with the Undertaker and that's where we are now. I'd love to see you do a men's circuit with jobbers and the like...as long as it doesn't interfere with TNAW. Mr. Perfect was coming off some injuries and had even semi-retired at this point. He wasn't seen back in action until late '92. Thanks for the comments, guys!

Very interesting, definately looking for UT to win the big match...maybe.
I am liking the Million Dollar Man winning IC and then taking on Bret...I'd pay to see it.
Keep up the good work.

Superstars! Amarillo, TX | Feb. 22 1992 Commentators: Vince McMahon and Mr. Perfect[/b] Vince McMahon welcomed everyone to today’s edition of Superstars! He made sure to mention that in one week’s time the WWF would be live in primetime on NBC for a special Saturday Night’s Main Event. Mr. Perfect told the viewers that we are getting closer and closer to WrestleMania VIII, and every wrestler in the back wanted to go into that show with momentum. Perfect said that WrestleMania is the highlight of every wrestler’s career, and so he was sure that at SNME we would see people doing whatever it took to walk out victorious. McMahon asked Perfect if he thought the World Champion Ric Flair would do whatever it takes to make sure that the Undertaker goes on to WrestleMania to face him for the title? Mr. Perfect told McMahon that Flair always comes out on top, no matter what the result of a match is, and that is all he had to say about that. McMahon did make sure that everybody knew that later on in the show Hulk Hogan would be here as he would team with Sid Justice to face the Nasty Boys. Perfect said he was looking forward to the beating the Nasty Boys were going to give Justice and Hogan, but McMahon was pretty sure they were on the same page and would be able to handle the experienced team of Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs. Tatanka pinned Brian Elmore with the End of the Trail in 0:02:31. Rating: ** ¼ As soon as the match was over IRS made his way down the aisle and into the ring. IRS told Tatanka that he had warned him last week that it was time for him to pay his taxes and they were due today. Tatanka grabbed the microphone and told IRS that he was an honest American and paid his taxes every year, but he wasn’t going to answer to some bookkeeping nerd. Tatanka went to turn around when IRS grabbed him by the shoulder. All that got him was a big overhand chop to the nose from Tatanka. IRS fell to the mat as the crowd roared in approval. Tatanka left the ring as a close-up revealed IRS to have a bloody nose! Perfect really was irate that Tatanka would put his hands on a government official, but McMahon said he highly doubted IRS was still a part of the government organization. Perfect thought that even if that was the case that more people should have respect for somebody wearing a tie. The Mountie pinned Jim Neidhart after a kneedrop in 0:05:53. Rating: 1/2* Quite the debacle occurred during this match. Owen Hart accompanied his tag team partner, Jim Neidhart, down to the ring for the match. It was a pretty straight forward encounter between “the Anvil” and the Mountie with Neidhart using his strength to control most of the match. Near the end, however, the Beverly Brothers along with the Genius ambushed Owen Hart on the outside. Blake and Beau stomped away at the body of Owen while the Genius shouted insults at him. Neidhart was distracted by this point as he yelled at the Beverly Brothers to leave ringside. The referee also got involved as he exited the ring to try and break up the attack on “the Rocket.” This allowed Jimmy Hart to give the Mountie the megaphone, and the Mountie smashed the back of Neidhart’s head with it. The Mountie followed that up by dropping a knee across the forehead of “the Anvil” and went for the cover. The referee saw the pinfall attempt and quickly reentered the ring to deliver the three count, giving the Mountie the victory. The beating that Owen Hart was suffering from looked like it was going to get worse when Blake Beverly grabbed a chair from ringside. All of a sudden the crowd burst into cheers as Bret “the Hitman” Hart ran down the aisle! Bret leveled Beau with a clothesline and then tore the chair out of Blake’s hands! The Beverly Brothers along with the Genius slowly made their way to the back. Bret Hart then saw the Mountie in the ring celebrating his victory over Jim Neidhart. Bret slid into the ring and chased the Mountie and Jimmy Hart from ringside with the chair. Owen eventually joined Neidhart and Bret Hart in the ring. Bret checked on Owen Hart’s well-being while Neidhart tried to shake the cobwebs loose. Davey Boy Smith pinned Don Richter with the Running Powerslam in 0:02:02. Rating: * 3/4 Vince McMahon announced that the next match on the show today was supposed to showcase Ted DiBiase teaming with his new charge, the Barbarian. However, there were some problems when the Barbarian and Ted DiBiase made their way into the arena earlier today. Footage was shown of a limousine pulling up to the entrance. The driver came around and opened the door for the Barbarian, Sherri Martel, and Ted DiBiase. Within seconds of them exiting the limo “Rowdy” Roddy Piper tackled Ted DiBiase! The two men exchanged fists on the ground until the Barbarian was able to pull Piper off. The Barbarian and Piper then went at it while DiBiase and Sherri scattered away from the fight. Officials eventually stormed the area to break up the fight. Piper continued to try and get at DiBiase while the Barbarian tried to force an opening to attack Piper. DiBiase watched on as “Sensational” Sherri kept screaming at Piper. Vince McMahon said that the officials were finally able to break up the encounter, but that President Tunney had made the decision to ban Piper and the Barbarian from the arena for the duration of the show. Luckily for Ted DiBiase, there is always a man around the corner with his hand out, and this one is no stranger to Ted DiBiase. Perfect said we would all now get the privilege of seeing DiBiase team with the Repo Man. Ted DiBiase and Repo Man defeated Rudy Gonzales and Dusty Wolfe when DiBiase defeated Gonzales when Gonzales passed out in the Million Dollar Dream in 0:03:11. Rating: ** (The Barbarian no-showed.) Both McMahon and Perfect were surprised at the team work of “the Million Dollar Man” and the Repo Man. McMahon did say that the two have quite a history together, so he thought that it made sense they could work together in the ring. Perfect mentioned that Roddy Piper was finally going to get what he has coming on Prime Time on Monday when he defends the Intercontinental Title against the Barbarian. McMahon wondered what would happen if the Barbarian wins the title and then goes on to face Ted DiBiase at Saturday Night’s Main Event in just a week’s time? Perfect said it was pretty clear that the Barbarian would kneel down, hand the title over to DiBiase, and just be happy to be the bodyguard for the Intercontinental Champion. Jimmy Snuka pinned Larry Williams with the Superfly Splash in 0:03:24. Rating: * After the match the lights began to flicker once more. The chanting began over the loudspeaker, and this time a voice was heard saying, “The darkness is near.” The Undertaker pinned Doug Somers with the Tombstone in 0:01:11. Rating: ½* The Undertaker once again destroyed his opponent in record time. Paul Bearer handed the Undertaker a bodybag after the match, and Doug Somers was stuffed inside rather quickly. The Undertaker then stomped at the body of Doug Somers inside. McMahon reminded everyone that Randy Savage had agreed to be a guest on the Funeral Parlor at SNME. Perfect thought it was a horrible idea for Savage, but wanted everybody to tune in so they could all see Savage’s last breath. McMahon thought that Perfect wasn’t giving Savage enough credit, and that the “Macho Man” keeps alluding to the fact that he has somebody to help him in his war with Jake Roberts, the Undertaker, and Paul Bearer. Perfect thought that unless it was the entire US Army then he wouldn’t have a chance. Warlord made Mickey Jay submit to the Full Nelson in 0:02:14. Rating: * ½ Warlord once again walked away victorious today with a submission using his Full Nelson. Harvey Wippleman jumped into the Warlord’s arms in celebration after the victory. Wippleman continues to promote the Full Nelson as the best maneuver in wrestling today, and so far there has been little to disprove his claim. A WWF Update! with “Mean” Gene Okerlund aired. The clip from last week aired where Shawn Michaels’ old trainer, Jose Lothario, aired once again. Lothario pleaded with Shawn Michaels to realize the error of his ways. Okerlund said that he was unable to get any comments from Michaels on the matter, but that Brutus “the Barber” Beefcake had invited Tito Santana to appear on the Barber Shop. The Barber Shop aired with Brutus Beefcake introducing Tito Santana to the show. Santana told Shawn Michaels that he should listen to his trainer and his family, and that he was going down the wrong path. Santana continued to talk about the pain and misery he was causing when Shawn Michaels himself walked onto the Barber Shop! The last time he was here was when he superkicked Marty Jannetty and threw him through a glass window. Beefcake got in between the two men, so that there would be no more violence on his interview segment. Santana berated Michaels and told him what a disappointment he was to his trainer, his family, and his fans. Michaels actually started to look a little down as Santana continued to try and talk some sense into him. Michaels eventually agreed with Santana that he had been acting selfishly and putting himself above others. Michaels then said the reason he was acting this way was because he was better than everyone! Michaels then went to superkick Santana! But Santana caught the boot coming towards his chin! Santana blasted Michaels with a right hook! Michaels fell to the ground and scampered away as he said he’d get Santana back for embarrassing him. Back at the announcer’s podium Vince McMahon revealed that Shawn Michaels would get that chance sooner rather than later as President Tunney announced just a few seconds ago that Tito Santana will face Shawn Michaels at Saturday Night’s Main Event! Mr. Perfect thought it was pretty unfair of Tunney to only give Michaels a week’s notice, not to mention the fact that Michaels might need to heal after that sucker punch by Santana. McMahon told Perfect that Michaels was the one that tried to hit Santana, but Perfect was having none of it as he continued his claim that Santana was a cheap shot artist. Sid Justice and Hulk Hogan defeated The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags) when Hogan pinned Sags after a power bomb in 0:10:17. Rating: * ½ The Nasty Boys had to weather the storm when it came to Sid Justice’s and Hulk Hogan’s early offense. Once they had done that their experience as a tag team really showed as they were able to isolate Hogan on their side of the ring. Both Sags and Knobbs took turns wailing away at the former World Champion, but Hogan refused to let his shoulders be counted down for the three count. They eventually telegraphed a double backdrop allowing Hogan to smash both of their heads together with a double noggin knocker. Hogan made the hot tag to Sid Justice, who came in a house of fire. Justice kept both men down with a rapid succession of punches and bodyslams. Somehow Sags was able to knock Justice to the mat long enough to climb to the top rope, but missed his Flying Elbowdrop. Justice followed that up by drilling Sags into the mat with his Power Bomb. Knobbs reentered the ring to try and break up a pinfall attempt, which sent both Justice and Knobbs brawling to the outside. Hogan made a blind tag as Justice went through the ropes, however, and quickly covered Sags for the three count! Sid Justice disposed of Knobbs by whipping him into the guardrail. Justice then joined Hogan in celebration inside the ring, doing their muscular poses for the fans. Perfect seemed to be rather disgusted by the whole ordeal while McMahon commented on how it looked like Hogan and Justice would be victorious at Saturday Night’s Main Event. McMahon made sure that everyone knew to tune in to Prime Time Wrestling, and also that in just one week’s time Saturday Night’s Main Event would be live on NBC! WWF Notes: This week on Prime Time Wrestling will be the go-home show leading into Saturday Night’s Main Event. Next week on Superstars! is a huge day for the WWF as it’s day of Saturday Night’s Main Event! There’s sure to be a ton of happenings as all of the WWF superstars prepare themselves for a big night! Plus, in our feature match, IRS goes one on one with “the British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith! And one week from tonight the WWF will be live on NBC in prime time as a special event, Saturday Night’s Main Event, will air! The show is jam-packed and sure to be the highlight of the weekend! Make sure to tune in for a night you won’t forget! Saturday Night’s Main Event (2/29/92):
Winner of the Fall Gets a World Title Shot at WrestleMania VIII: Ric Flair (w/Mr. Perfect) and the Undertaker (w/Paul Bearer) vs. Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice

Another fun card. Really liked the angle you wrote to make up for the Barbarian no-show. I really like the Barbarian with DiBiase. Hell, I just really like the Barbarian for some reason. I was shocked to see you have Bret Hart get involved with Owen at this point. I knew it was going to happen, but this seemed a little soon. Still, a nice mark out moment. No way Sid doesn't murder Hogan at SNME.

Barbarian is quickly becoming one of my favorite guys to write. Not something I expected when I started. The Bret-Owen thing is going to go a different way than some people would expect. It might be a little early, but I hope it all works out. I love writing stuff involving the Harts. We'll see about Sid/Hogan.

Prime Time Wrestling Stamford, CT |Feb. 24 1992 Host: Vince McMahon Discussion Panel: Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby Heenan, Mr. Perfect Commentators for Matches: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan, Vince McMahon and Mr. Perfect, Sean Mooney and Lord Alfred Hayes[/b] Vince McMahon welcomed everyone to tonight’s edition of Prime Time Wrestling. McMahon reminded everyone that this coming Saturday the WWF would be live on NBC for Saturday Night’s Main Event. McMahon said that the show would be headlined by Hulk Hogan teaming up with Sid Justice to face the World Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair, and the Undertaker. Monsoon brought to attention that the winner of the fall will go on to WrestleMania VIII to face Flair for the title, and if Flair’s team won it would be the Undertaker. Perfect and Heenan both agreed that they had things well under control. Heenan said that he had even convinced Paul Bearer to have a warm-up match for the team of Ric Flair and the Undertaker before SNME. Perfect said that this was a perfect example that Flair is not just a great singles wrestler, but can also dominate the tag scene. Monsoon said he wanted proof that Flair could team with the Undertaker, and McMahon responded that he wouldn’t need to wait long as that match was up next. Ric Flair and The Undertaker defeated Brian Elmore and Don Richter when R. Flair pinned Richter with the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:03:30. Rating: ** Ric Flair and the Undertaker made for an awkward team at best here tonight. The Undertaker has been teaming with Jake Roberts, and they at least seem to have the same style of attitude, but Flair and the Undertaker seem to clash a bit. The Undertaker never seemed too happy when Flair would tag himself in. Nevertheless, Flair and the Undertaker never seemed to be in trouble during the match. The Undertaker looked like he had finished off Don Richter with the Tombstone when Flair called him over to the corner. Flair then tagged himself in and applied the Figure-Four Leglock. The Undertaker did not appear too happy as the referee counted Richter’s shoulders to the mat. After the match was over, Flair looked like he wanted to high five the Undertaker, but instead the Undertaker grabbed Flair by the throat! The Undertaker backed Flair into the corner, all the while choking out the World Champion! Mr. Perfect and Paul Bearer both quickly entered the ring and tried to talk to the Undertaker, but it looked like Taker was going to choke Flair out! Paul Bearer was finally able to get his attention with the urn which allowed Flair and Perfect to escape from the ring. Flair could be overheard saying how “that man is crazy!” as he made his way back to the locker rooms. Monsoon said it was pretty clear that despite what Heenan and Perfect say, the team of Flair and the Undertaker is not a well-oiled machine. Heenan disagreed saying that he had never seen such a great tag team before. McMahon said that there was not one bit of evidence in that match to prove that the Undertaker and Ric Flair are getting along or will get along in their match at SNME. Perfect said that he was in talks with Paul Bearer and they would come to an understanding. At that point the phone that sits on the table between the four men started to ring. McMahon answered it and handed the phone over to Mr. Perfect. Perfect got into an argument with whoever was on the phone about some sort of payment. After Perfect hung up the phone McMahon asked him why Jimmy Hart was calling him? Perfect said that it wasn’t Jimmy Hart, but his cable television company. Heenan looked confused by the whole ordeal while McMahon continued to insist that it was Jimmy Hart. Monsoon started asking Perfect what type of payment he owed Jimmy Hart, but Perfect continued to deny it was “the Mouth of the South.” Big Boss Man pinned Barry Horowitz with the Boss Man Slam in 0:02:45. Rating: * A WWF Update! with “Mean” Gene Okerlund aired. Okerlund talked about the recent occurrences of the lights flickering and the mysterious laughter and voices that have been heard at various arenas throughout the country. Okerlund said that he had investigated and nobody seemed to know what was going on. Okerlund had heard from a source that whatever it was might just come to a head this weekend on Saturday Night’s Main Event. The Orient Express (Kato and Pat Tanaka) defeated Todd Overbow and Khris Germany when P. Tanaka pinned Overbow with the Kamikaze-Plex in 0:02:48. Rating: * 1/2 Mr. Fuji surprised some of the fans by carrying a little US flag to ringside instead of his normal larger Japanese flag. The Orient Express were victorious once again tonight in preparation for their big Flag Match against Team USA on SNME. After the match, Mr. Fuji entered the ring, and much to the crowd’s distaste, he broke the small US flag between his hands. He was obviously sending a statement to Sgt. Slaughter and Jim Duggan. Footage was shown of Superstars! that aired this past weekend. The clip saw Roddy Piper brawling with Ted DiBiase and the Barbarian outside of the arena. Monsoon commented on how the hatred between Piper and DiBiase had quickly grown to a boiling point. Heenan wanted to know where WWF security is when hooligans like Piper want to attack an upstanding gentleman like DiBiase on his way to work. McMahon thought that Piper was a brave man for putting his IC Title on the line against the Barbarian tonight despite having to face DiBiase in just a few days at SNME. Perfect called it an idiotic move and would not be surprised if the Barbarian walked out with the title here tonight. Roddy Piper defeated The Barbarian when The Barbarian passed out in the Sleeper in 0:10:15. Rating: * 3/4 (Roddy Piper retained the WWF Intercontinental Title.) The Barbarian was accompanied to the ring by “Sensational” Sherri and Ted DiBiase for his match. Barbarian and Piper are known for their brawling skills, and that is exactly what they brought to his big IC Title defense. Piper tried to use his fists to keep the much larger Barbarian down, but the Barbarian was just too tough as he seemed to shake off every punch that was delivered. It was unclear before the match just how much the Barbarian wanted to win the title and how much he just wanted to punish Piper in preparation for DiBiase’s title match at SNME. It became pretty clear, however, when the Barbarian nailed Piper with the Flying Clothesline. It nearly took Piper’s head off, and as the Barbarian was going for the pinfall DiBiase yelled at him to continue to attack “Rowdy” Roddy. So instead of going for the victory the Barbarian lifted Piper back up and pounded on him in the corner. This went on for a couple of more minutes until Piper started to have a hard time standing up. The Barbarian brought Piper back to his feet to finish him off, but Piper was playing a little bit of opossum as he poked the Barbarian in the eye! Sherri screeched on the outside as DiBiase got up on the ring apron to complain. Piper saw it out of the corner of his eye as he went to the air and dropkicked DiBiase back down to the ring floor! The Barbarian tried to regroup, but after he whipped Piper into the turnbuckles he missed on a charge into the corner. Piper caught him staggering out of the corner with the Sleeper! Piper had it cinched on tight and there was nowhere for the Barbarian to go! He fought it as long as he could and refused to submit, but there is only so long until the lack of oxygen puts you to sleep. Eventually the Barbarian’s arm was dropped three times giving Roddy Piper the win and the successful title defense! Right after the match Ted DiBiase entered the ring and leveled Piper with a clothesline followed by a Russian Legsweep. DiBiase wanted to continue the punishment, but Sherri Martel got in the way as she ran in to check on the unconscious Barbarian. This distraction allowed Piper enough time to slide under the bottom rope and walk back up the aisle. He pointed and laughed at the furious “Million Dollar Man” while Sherri continued to try and wake up the Barbarian. Things got a little heated when Sherri planted a big kiss on the Barbarian’s lips to try and wake him! It did the trick, but the Barbarian didn’t appear too happy. He pushed Sherri away and seemed to be spitting in the ring to get the taste out of his mouth. DiBiase seemed annoyed with his entourage as Piper clapped hands in the aisle with the IC Title on his shoulder. McMahon was very excited that Roddy Piper was able to overcome all of the odds and still walk out with the Intercontinental Title. Heenan couldn’t believe that McMahon would agree with the tactics Piper used in the match, especially the use of an illegal choke hold! Monsoon tried to explain the actual application of the Sleeper to Heenan, but Perfect cut him off by telling Monsoon that they were both wrestlers and they both know that the sleeper is a choke hold. McMahon remarked that it did finalize that the match between Piper and DiBiase on Saturday Night’s Main Event will be for the Intercontinental Title. Heenan tried to discuss how lucky the Barbarian was to be kissed by a beautiful woman like Sherri, but Monsoon told him to stop before he threw up like the Barbarian probably was doing right now. Kerry Von Erich pinned Larry Williams with the Tornado Punch in 0:02:19. Rating: * Kerry Von Erich tried to get a little momentum back tonight after his recent loss to IRS. “The Texas Tornado” delivered the Tornado Punch and that was all she wrote for this match. After the match, however, the lights began to flicker and an ominous voice came over the loudspeaker stating, “You will be the first!” Kerry Von Erich looked a bit shaken, but still clapped hands with the fans on the way to the back. Shawn Michaels pinned Rudy Gonzales with the Teardrop Suplex in 0:03:28. Rating: ** Shawn Michaels cut an insert promo during his match. Michaels told Tito Santana that he better be at his best come Saturday Night’s Main Event because Michaels was going to use this match to prove that he doesn’t need the fans anymore. He said that they can keep talking about his family, his trainer, the fans, and Marty Jannetty, but he is better than all of them, and he’ll prove it this Saturday. Michaels flirted with a woman at ringside for the majority of his match here, but the result was never in doubt. The Teardrop Suplex, a move he picked up just recently, has shown to be quite the finishing maneuver. If he is able to hit it at SNME then Tito may be out for the count. Vince McMahon questioned Shawn Michaels’ recent change of character, but Perfect thought that it was just Michaels maturing into a great wrestler. Heenan said that he if he had only known Shawn Michaels had this in him then he would have tried to manage him before he was retired. Monsoon thought that Tito Santana would finally knock some sense into him at SNME, and Michaels would regret his actions. Heenan doubted it and instead thought we were seeing the beginning of a future star. Perfect agreed and said that Michaels did have something right when he said that he was better than Marty Jannetty and the fans. McMahon chastised Perfect and said that we would see who was better if Jannetty ever fully recuperated from being thrown through a glass window by Shawn Michaels. Non-Title Match: The Legion of Doom (Hawk and Animal) defeated Dusty Wolfe and Terry Davis when Hawk pinned Wolfe with the Doomsday Device in 0:01:11. Rating: * ¼ Hawk and Animal cut an insert promo during their match. Animal told Earthquake and Typhoon that they may have won a couple of battles, but they were guaranteeing that they were going to win the war at SNME. Hawk said that they might have gotten the better of them in singles wrestling, but they couldn’t handle the LOD when they are together. Animal promised a night of pain for ‘quake and Typhoon. Hawk told Jimmy Hart that if he stuck his nose in their business at SNME that he would tear it off. The promo lasted almost as long as the match as the Legion of Doom wanted to prove something here tonight. Their opponents were unable to even get their ring vests off before Hawk and Animal tore right into them. The Doomsday Device looked as deadly as ever as the LOD picked up a nice warm up victory heading into SNME. A WWF Update with “Mean” Gene Okerlund aired. Okerlund focused on last week’s Superstars! where Bret Hart came to the rescue of his brother, Owen, and his best friend, Jim Neidhart. A clip was shown of Bret Hart chasing the Beverly Brothers and the Genius away from ringside and then clearing the ring of the Mountie and Jimmy Hart. Okerlund said that he had caught up with Bret Hart to discuss just why he came down to ringside. Bret Hart told the viewers that his brother, Owen, had made him promise to not get involved in any of his matches. Owen had said that he wanted to prove himself just like Bret did. He explained that is why he hadn’t helped his brother at any point in his WWF career. He said it became a little bit too much when he saw what the Beverly Brothers were going to do to his little brother with a chair, and so he thought he would kill two birds with one stone since the Mountie was out there as well. He admitted that he could not allow Blake or Beau to injure his brother, and the possibility of getting his hands on the Mountie was a bit of a bonus. He said that he would uphold his promise from now on and let Owen go at it alone. He said that he had made Jim Neidhart promise him that he would look out for “the Rocket” and he trusted him. He wished the New Foundation luck and told Owen to listen to Neidhart, and then promised that he would make the Mountie squeal on SNME when he put him in the Sharpshooter. He finished by stating that he was coming after what was rightfully his and that’s the Intercontinental Title. McMahon thought it was commendable that Bret was still looking out for his younger brother. Monsoon also liked the fact that Owen Hart was trying to show his own self worth instead of relying on Bret’s reputation. Perfect, however, thought it was all a sham. He said that he knew Bret Hart campaigned for Owen to be hired, and that the favoritism shown towards Owen was disgusting. Heenan agreed with Perfect, obviously, stating that if Owen couldn’t fight his own battles then he shouldn’t be in the WWF. McMahon told them that Owen was doing just fine in the WWF, and was more than capable of handling himself. Monsoon said that Owen Hart was one of the more exciting WWF superstars that he has seen in a long time. Heenan told Monsoon that he may not be that exciting after the Beverly Brothers get a hold of him. McMahon chimed in that President Tunney had announced just before the show tonight that the New Foundation would face the Beverly Brothers next week on Prime Time Wrestling. Not only that, but the match would be for the number one contendership for the World Tag Team Titles! Rick Martel made Jim Powers submit to the Boston Crab in 0:05:20. Rating: ** Jim Powers put on a pretty good showing here tonight, but Rick Martel was able to stay one step ahead and get the submission victory with the Boston Crab. Martel was unable to get a victory over Randy Savage last week, but this week he got back on track. Sgt. Slaughter pinned The Berzerker after a roll up in 0:07:44. Rating: * It was pretty obvious that Mr. Fuji wanted his man, the Berzerker, to focus on injuring Sgt. Slaughter instead of the victory. The Berzerker used his strength to pound on Slaughter’s back. Slaughter has been around a long time, however, and can take a beating. Fuji involved himself in the match once he realized that the Berzerker was starting to lose control of the match. This led up to the Berzerker grabbing Slaughter from behind so that Fuji could throw salt into his eyes. Slaughter was able to duck, however, and the salt went directly into the Berzerker’s eyes! Slaughter quickly rolled up the Berzerker to get the three count as Fuji looked furious on the outside. After the match, Jim Duggan ran down the aisle, grabbed Fuji, and threw him into the ring. It looked like Slaughter was going to get his hands on Mr. Fuji, but Fuji was able to duck under a clothesline and exited up the aisle. Meanwhile, Jim Duggan joined Slaughter in the ring to celebrate by waving the US flag around as the crowd cheered them on. Monsoon couldn’t wait for Saturday Night’s Main Event where Slaughter and Duggan would get their hands on the Orient Express and hopefully shut Mr. Fuji up for good. Perfect told Monsoon that a flag match is not like your typical match, and that strategy is very important which Fuji has the upper hand in. McMahon said that Duggan and Slaughter could come up with a pretty good strategy on their own which made Heenan laugh. McMahon made sure that everyone knew that Saturday Night’s Main Event was this coming Saturday and also to be sure to tune into Superstars! which takes place just a few hours before the live event on NBC. LOL Barbarian's reaction. Sherri was pretty scary looking most of the times I remember seeing her during her career so I wouldn't want her planting one on me either.
Speaking of people named Martel, didn't he call his crabhold finisher the Quebec Crab?
Good interview by Bret. I suspect Owen will retort.
SNME looks great.
I think LoD loses to the Disasters simply because LoD can't physically lift either Disaster for a Doomsday Device. Which is a shame because I'm an LoD fan.

MY SNME Predictions:
Saturday Night’s Main Event (2/29/92):

HOGAN
World Tag Team Titles: The Legion of Doom© vs. The Natural Disasters (w/Jimmy Hart)
hmmmm... Disasters in a DQ or something again leading to the blowoff at WM
Intercontinental Title: Roddy Piper© vs. Ted DiBiase(w/Sherri Martel and the Barbarian)
Piper... though hoping for Dibiase
#1 Contendership for the IC Title: Bret Hart vs. The Mountie (w/Jimmy Hart)
Hitman
Flag Match: Team USA (Jim Duggan and Sgt. Slaughter) vs. The Orient Express (w/Mr. Fuji)
Faces always win the flag matches.. so Team USA

Liller: Martel called the crab the Quebec Crab during his WCW run, but during his WWF run, it was Boston Crab. Another good card. I like the tension built between Flair and Taker. And now they have issues with Jimmy Hart too. Flair & Perfect are not making very many friends for themselves. Oooh, get to find out who the mysterious light flickering guy is. SNME is really stacked. I'm almost concerned Wrestlemania won't be able to follow it. Good interview from Bret. We'll see how Owen takes it. Ha... even Barbarian finds Sherri to be gross. Awesome.

Terrific work over the last two shows, i really love the banter between the guys in the studio, maybe even more than the matches itself. I am really getting into this circuit now and would like to write more, but i am on my iPhone now and that damn autocorrect changes every other Word into a Norwegian one

Liller: I can't remember if I ever found Sherri attractive. Maybe in the mid '80s, but I'd have to go back and look. The hair, makeup, and screaming made her a very scary woman. I think Ryan's right, Martel called it that in WCW. I tried to find somewhere on the internet that would tell me definitely when I first started the circuit up, but couldn't find anything but him calling it the Boston Crab. I loved the feud between the Disasters and LOD back when I was a kid. I felt like there was no way either team could be beat at the time. Peter: Didn't Bret Hart and Davey Boy Smith win the flag match against Vader and the Patriot in '97? Or was that in Canada making them the faces? Now I have to go back and look up the results as I can't remember. Ryan: Perfect is trying to keep the title on Flair, but seems to be having some problems. Flair's personality probably doesn't help things. Yeah, I'm hoping WrestleMania will be just as good. I originally planned on SNME being like one that the WWF would have produced at this time, 4-5 matches with two of them being squashes, and an interview segment. Then I thought to heck with it, it's my circuit and I don't really want to carry on all of the feuds I have going on right now for another two months. Rey: I actually like writing the stuff between the discussion panel. It helps me continue some storylines without having to actually use the wrestlers all the time. Just as long as it doesn't get too repetitive I should be fine. I have a Blackberry, but kind of upset I don't have an iPhone now. So many more apps I want than the ones that are on the BB. Thanks for all of the comments, guys!

OK, I'm on a computer now Hogan gets the pin because Flair doesn't want his own team to win (cause that would mean Taker would get the shot). Does that make sense? I can't fathom how Flair sleeps at night, with Hogan, Sid and Taker stalking him. LoD all the way. Never a big Disasters fan. Ted DiBiase. Leading to him facing Bret at Wrestlemania. Bret Hart. See above. Team USA. Shawn Michaels

I believe that match was in Canada, but not 100% sure. Either way I still predict Team USA . and for the final match, my pick is HBK, as Tito at this point is a high-profile JTTS.

Superstars! Amarillo, TX | Feb. 29 1992 Commentators: Vince McMahon and Mr. Perfect[/b] Vince McMahon welcomed everyone to today’s edition of Superstars! He waited little time in reminding everyone that tonight Saturday Night’s Main Event will be live on NBC! Mr. Perfect said that Superstars! still had a day of wrestling that you did not want to miss. McMahon ran down the card, including our feature bout of IRS against “the British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith. Perfect thought that IRS would be able to use his intelligence to defeat “the Bulldog,” but McMahon said he would consider that a pretty large upset for the tax man. McMahon also mentioned that Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice would speak out on their upcoming tag team match against Ric Flair and the Undertaker. Perfect thought it would be a perfect opportunity for Hogan and Justice to back out of the match since he knew they were scared to death to get into the ring with “the Nature Boy.” The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags) defeated Terry Davis and Lee Armstrong when Sags pinned Armstrong with the Flying Elbowdrop in 0:03:14. Rating: * ¾ The Nasty Boys were not in a good mood after last week’s defeat at the hands of Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice. Both of their opponents suffered the Pit Stop at the end of the match as McMahon commented on how disgusting that was. After the match, Jimmy Hart got on the microphone and said that the Nasty Boys were tired of being treated like a joke since they were former World Tag Team Champions. He promised another Tag Title reign was in their future. Perfect said that you shouldn’t take Jimmy Hart’s promises too seriously since he had also promised to put Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice on the shelf permanently. McMahon asked who Hart had promised that to, and Perfect had to dodge the question as he said the next match was about to start. Repo Man made Scott Hen submit to the Crowbar in 0:03:35. Rating: ** Ted DiBiase cut an insert promo over the Repo Man’s match. DiBiase promised that he would spare no expense in capturing the Intercontinental Title later tonight. He said the plans were all laid out, and there was no way that he was not walking out of Lubbock, Texas without being the champion. The only thing of note during this match was that the Repo Man’s tow rope now had a gold hook on it. It was noticeable due to the fact that Repo used that hook to further punish his opponent after the match. One good smash across the nose left his opponent unconscious in the ring. An advertisement aired for WrestleMania VIII on April 5th at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana. The New Foundation (Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart) defeated Doug Somers and Mickey Jay when O. Hart pinned Somers with the Rocket Launcher in 0:02:29. Rating: ** The New Foundation cut an insert promo during their match. Owen Hart thanked Bret Hart for having his back last week, but said it wasn’t needed as he can handle the Beverly Brothers. Jim Neidhart told Bret he wasn’t going to let anything bad happen to Owen as he was like a little brother to him as well. Owen said that on Prime Time they were going to finish off the Beverly Brothers for good, and that their next step would be to become the World Tag Team Champions. The New Foundation continue to impress with Neidhart using his power to set people up for Owen Hart’s speed. Owen even hit a beautiful moonsault bodyblock during the match that had the crowd gasping in excitement. The Rocket Launcher was more than enough to put away their opponents here. Mr. Perfect thought that Owen Hart was sorely mistaken if he believed he was going to defeat the Beverly Brothers on Prime Time to become the number one contenders. McMahon said it was going to be a huge stepping stone, no matter who won. Perfect said that he knew the Genius pretty well, and he would not fail to prepare the Blake and Beau for the most important match of their careers. Virgil pinned Skinner after a missile dropkick in 0:06:14. Rating: * ¾ Skinner made the mistake of spitting a big wad of chewing tobacco into Virgil’s face before the match began. It definitely gave Virgil some motivation in the match, and he used it by keeping Skinner off of his feet with some drop toe holds, armdrags, and eventually the missile dropkick off the top rope to get the three count. “Mean” Gene Okerlund introduced Hulk Hogan up on to the interview podium. Hogan spoke about his big tag team match on Saturday Night’s Main Event. Hogan promised to the best tag partner he possibly can be, but his purpose in life is to be the WWF Champion. Hogan said that without the belt he feels like there is a piece of him missing. Hulk said that he would still have the gold around his waist if it wasn’t for two men, Ric Flair and the Undertaker. Hogan promised that at SNME he would see that punished them for their crimes. He told Sid Justice that at the Royal Rumble there were some things said that they both regret, but that at SNME that they needed to have each other’s backs. He said that headlining WrestleMania VIII was his destiny and Hulkamania would be running wild in Lubbock, Texas. He said it did not matter to him if he pinned the Undertaker or Ric Flair, but he would be going on to WrestleMania and become a four time World Heavyweight Champion. Perfect said that Hogan was living in a dream world if he thought he could beat Ric Flair at WrestleMania. McMahon thought it was a very real possibility, but Perfect said that Flair on his worst day could beat Hogan on his best. Perfect claimed that Flair was the better and smarter wrestler, and there was no way he could be beaten by a chump like Hulk Hogan. McMahon seemed to think it was sour grapes due to the times that Perfect lost to Hogan. Jake Roberts pinned Lee Thomas with the DDT in 0:02:26. Rating: * 1/4 After the match, Jake Roberts blew a kiss into the camera and said that he missed Elizabeth. McMahon knew that Paul Bearer would have something nasty planned for Randy Savage on the Funeral Parlor at SNME. Perfect said Savage has proved that he is not the brightest of the bunch time and again, not only by allowing Elizabeth at ringside, but then not taking advantage of Roberts’ gift. McMahon asked what gift Roberts gave Savage? Perfect responded with the opportunity to leave Elizabeth on the curb like the trash she is. McMahon was disgusted by Perfect’s comments, but Perfect said that Savage’s drive for vengeance was going to be his undoing. Perfect said he would not be surprised to see Savage in a hospital bed after tonight’s show if he has the guts to show up at all. McMahon said there was no way Savage would be backing out of appearing on the Funeral Parlor, and he just hoped that Savage was telling the truth when he said he would not be arriving at the arena alone. Tatanka pinned Col. Mustafa with the End of the Trail in 0:05:01. Rating: ** 1/4 Tatanka had his toughest match to date here today as he went up against a man with a ton of experience in Col. Mustafa. Not only did he have to deal with Mustafa but also his manager, General Adnan. Tatanka was still able to find a way to come away with a victory, however, after he planted Mustafa with the End of the Trail. Tatanka has had his problems with IRS as of late, but today he showed that he can put aside all of the distractions and focus in the ring when he needs to get the job done. Backstage Sean Mooney interviewed Sid Justice. Justice wanted the whole world to know that he was going to WrestleMania to become the next World Heavyweight Champion. He said that he was the biggest and the baddest superstar the WWF had ever seen, and he would do whatever it takes to come out on top. Justice said that the World Title should have been his at the Royal Rumble, but he was willing to let it slide. He would not allow Hogan to steal the title from him this time, but he would also watch Hogan’s back. He told Hogan to not get in the way, and they could remain friends. Justice said that the Undertaker does not scare him, and Ric Flair is a coward, so he doesn’t care who he has to pin to get the title shot. He admitted that he would love to drop Flair from seven feet high with the Power Bomb and to hear him cry out in pain. Sid told people to get use to him because he was the future World Heavyweight Champion and tonight he finally gets his justice. Koko B. Ware pinned Jim Cooper with the Ghostbuster in 0:02:10. Rating: ** A WWF Update! with “Mean” Gene Okerlund aired talking about the recent dispute between IRS and Tatanka. IRS claims that Tatanka is not a true American since it’s a fact that Native Americans do not pay their taxes. Tatanka has told IRS that it was a lie, and ended up bloodying IRS’s nose last week on this show. Okerlund said that he had followed this up and had confirmed that Tatanka is current on his taxes. Okerlund had no idea where IRS comes up with this trash, but the fact that he wanted to tarnish Tatanka’s character so early into his WWF run just proved what a despicable human being he was. Okerlund hoped that Davey Boy Smith would teach him a lesson or two in the feature bout. “Mean” Gene then sent it to the ring. IRS pinned Davey Boy Smith with the Write-Off in 0:12:45. Rating: ** IRS hit Davey Boy Smith with everything he had in trying to get a pinfall, but “the British Bulldog” refused to be kept down. IRS attempted to wear Davey Boy down with several submission holds, but DBS showed what great endurance he has by fighting out of each and every one of them. It looked like Davey Boy might be on the verge of coming back to win the match after a flurry of offense and a delayed vertical suplex. The Running Powerslam came next, but IRS was able to grab a hold of the ropes and use them to slide off Smith’s shoulder. When Davey Boy turned around IRS blasted him with the Write-Off lariat out of nowhere. This move stunned Davey Boy long enough for IRS to get the three count. After the match, it looked like IRS was going to dish out a little more punishment to Davey Boy. It seemed like he wasn’t too happy with how much DBS made him work for the victory. IRS grabbed his briefcase and crouched in the corner waiting for Davey Boy Smith to get back to his feet. Things would not go IRS’s way, however, as Tatanka ran down the aisle and intervened! Tatanka tore the briefcase out of IRS’s hands and tried to nail him with it, but IRS quickly dropped on to his stomach and slid out of the ring. IRS yelled some threats towards Tatanka as the Native American checked up on Smith. Vince McMahon was very thankful that Tatanka was there to save the day, and save “the British Bulldog” from a possible concussion. Perfect said that Tatanka should mind his own business. McMahon said that he heard from President Tunney that he was going to try and get something done about the current feud between Tatanka and IRS. McMahon reminded everyone to tune in to NBC in just a few hours because Saturday Night’s Main Event is coming up! WWF Notes: Tonight the WWF will be live on NBC in prime time as a special event, Saturday Night’s Main Event, will air! The show is jam-packed and sure to be the highlight of the weekend! Make sure to tune in for a night you won’t forget! Next week on Prime Time Wrestling we will all see the fallout from Saturday Night’s Main Event?
