I wonder who Boss Man's allies will be for this feud with Wippelman's guys.
For some reason I'm having trouble seeing Shane Douglas in a team called QuickFire, doing aerial maneouvers. I guess he was a lot more agile in the beginning of his career.
The Hart/Piper/Martel spot looked complicated. Hope they made it look good.
I liked that Flair called in to the show to tell who Hogan would be wrestling. Warlord? Should be a good match. I'll put my money on Hogan being the first to get out of the Full Nelson.
The slow build to a Owen vs Bret feud is wonderful. Nuff said.
Creepy video of Jake the Snake. I don't remember much of this feud from real life, but I do remember it being really good and maybe a little controversial as well.
Terrific main event by the looks of it. Did Janetty and Michaels have a blow off match to their breaking up? Or did Marty get fired before Wrestlemania this year?
I really like reading this fed, it's both entertaining and I learn a lot of this time period!

I don't think the HBK/Jannetty feud ever really had a proper blowoff. If I remember correctly, the first match they had with each other was Royal Rumble 1993. Then in May of '93, Jannetty made a surprise return to beat Michaels for the IC Title, but lost it back to him fairly quickly.

Sheesh, this sucks. I finally got hit with a busted hard drive. I lost my TNM, my word files, and everthing else. I'm not done with this circuit, but I have to save up enough money to buy a new HD. Ryan can back this up since my HD broke right when he sent me a new message saying "what's up, bud"" a few days ago. I can't believe it broke then. Anyways, I'm not giving up the fed, but posting this on a Blackberry. I'll be back soon.

So basically what you're saying is, I'm the one who broke your computer? Asshole.

Dude, that stinks, I was really enjoying this circuit. I have been trying to set up a second TNM on my home office machine, but I haven't been able to reach Oliver about my codes. I swear I need to put them in a cloud server sometime. I'm not as rushed because my main TNM is up and running, but I hate having to constantly ask for the codes. I have nobody to blame but myself.
If you happen to get ahold of Oliver, let me know what method you've used. I tried FB and his hex...whatever e-mail.

Sean: just copy your TNM folder onto a zip disc and transfer it to the other computer that way.

Will that work? One is a vista and the home tower is windows 7.

Will that work? One is a vista and the home tower is windows 7. Definitely worth a shot. Worst thing that happens is it doesn't.

How much do you need for a new HD? Maybe we can pitch in Damn, I really enjoyed this circuit, so don't quit on it just yet!

I'm logging in from a friend's computer. I am hoping to have a new hard drive this week sometime. Then it's just going to take downloading TNM, putting in the roster, and all that other fun stuff. Uck.
Sean, I have a Hotmail account, and so, luckily I didn't lose any of my e-mails that have Copp sending me my codes. Once I get access to a computer for awhile longer, I will give some feedback to the cards I've missed.

Well, luckily, my mom let me borrow her laptop until I get my other computer fixed. So I've already copied and pasted all previous cards into a Word file, started trying to regroup all of the notes I had into another Word file, downloaded TNM, and am now working on getting all of the exports that I need. So much work. Anyways, hopefully this means I can start writing again today. Most of my next card was already finished, so it is a little annoying that I'm going to have to rewrite angles. That usually never ends well for me. But here's hoping I have a card out in the next 2-5 days. On another note, if I ever get my actual PC up and running again, does anybody know if it's pretty simple in zipping up a TNM and sending it (through e-mail) to another computer? Nothing gets jumbled in the process, does it? I think I've done it before but can't fully remember.

How much do you need for a new HD? Maybe we can pitch in Damn, I really enjoyed this circuit, so don't quit on it just yet! Definitely not giving in yet. This has been the most easy circuit for me to write. I don't feel forced on anything. As for the new HD, went with a 1 TB WG HD. Now, I just hope that is what was wrong with it. It froze, I restarted it, it said "Reboot or Insert Boot Disk" ... I tried rebooting a few times, and now when I reboot it just has a black screen. Absolutely nothing I can do. Everything seems to power up from the inside, there is just nothing on the screen. Already checked my monitor and that isn't the issue.

Superstars! Mobile, AL | March 28 1992 Commentators: Vince McMahon and Mr. Perfect[/b] Vince McMahon welcomed everyone to today’s edition of Superstars! Mr. Perfect said we were only a week away from WrestleMania VIII, and he couldn’t wait until Ric Flair hooked Hulk Hogan in the Figure-Four Leglock and heard him screaming in pain. McMahon thought Perfect was getting a little ahead of himself as he thought that Hulk Hogan was well on his way to winning his fifth World Title. Perfect was horrified at the thought of another title reign by the Hulkster. Sgt. Slaughter made Lee Armstrong submit to the Cobra Clutch in 0:03:11. Rating: ** McMahon announced during this contest that there would be a special battle royal match at WrestleMania VIII. Twenty men would be participating with Sgt. Slaughter being one of them. Slaughter seemed to be gearing up for this match with an easy victory here tonight. After the match, Jim Duggan joined Slaughter for a post match celebration. A pre-recorded interview with Mr. Fuji aired. Fuji said he had seen enough of Team USA’s blatant disrespect towards his home country of Japan. He said that he had found the man that will bring honor and glory to the Orient, and he has thrown his name into the battle royal at WrestleMania. The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags) defeated Bob Morgan and Dale Wolfe when Sags pinned Morgan with the Flying Elbowdrop in 0:03:03. Rating: * ¼ The Nasty Boys cut an insert promo during their match. Jerry Sags said they would be watching the tag title match at WrestleMania very closely because they were going after the tag titles. Brian Knobbs said it did not matter if it was the Natural Disasters or the New Foundation, one of those teams was going on a trip to Nastyville. Jimmy Hart seemed a little concerned with what the Nasty Boys were saying. Former tag team champions, the Nasty Boys, had no problems with their opponents today, ending the match with the running powerslam/flying elbow combination. Dale Wolfe went to check on his partner after the match, but he received a Pit Stop for his troubles. The crowd voiced their disgust at the Nasty Boys’ actions. Hercules defeated Doug Somers when Somers passed out in the Backbreaker in 0:03:40. Rating: ** Harvey Wippleman appears to have brought out the mean streak in Hercules since signing him to a contract. Hercules locked his opponent into his Backbreaker and refused to release it until the man had fallen into unconsciousness. After the match, Wippleman brought the Warlord to the ring. Wippleman wanted Hulk Hogan to watch very closely as Warlord would showcase his devastating Full Nelson. Warlord picked up Doug Somers, a man who had already been viciously beaten, and locked him in the Full Nelson. Somers was unable to fight back as Warlord wrenched it in as tight as he could. Eventually, some officials came to ringside to break things up. Wippleman apologized to Ric Flair since after Prime Time Wrestling, Flair would no longer have an opponent for WrestleMania. A WWF Update! with “Mean” Gene Okerlund aired where he brought up Randy Savage’s outburst on Prime Time Wrestling on Monday. Savage had thrown Mr. Perfect to the ground and practically throttled Bobby Heenan after he saw Jake Roberts video that he had taped outside of his house. Okerlund could not believe the gall of Roberts to go to Savage’s house, stand outside, and threaten Miss Elizabeth’s wellbeing. Okerlund told Roberts that he better be ready for WrestleMania because not even the Undertaker could save him from “the Macho Man.” Okerlund sent it to the ring where the Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage would be teaming up in preparation for next Sunday. The Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage defeated Duane Gill and Barry Hardy when Savage pinned Gill with the Flying Elbowdrop in 0:04:11. Rating: 1/2* If there was any doubt as to how well the Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage can work as a team, it was answered tonight. Savage and Warrior ran roughshod over their opponents tonight, finishing Duane Gill off with a diving shoulderblock from Warrior leading into the Flying Elbowdrop by Savage. After the match, two men dressed up as druids came out, pushing the casket from Prime Time Wrestling that had the Ultimate Warrior’s name on it. The druids went to leave the casket at ringside, but Warrior and Savage cut them off. They tossed them into the ring and delivered a horrendous beatdown to both men from the darkside. Warrior proceeded to punch several holes into the wooden casket while Savage tossed the druids over the top rope and to the outside. Savage and Warrior continued to rampage around the ring, tearing things up. They are both riled up and ready to go when WrestleMania VIII comes around next week. The New Foundation (Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart) defeated The Heavenly Bodies (Tom Prichard and Jimmy Del Ray) when O. Hart pinned Tom Prichard with the Rocket Launcher in 0:12:07. Rating: ** ½ Jim Cornette was not lying when he said he had found a great tag team in the Heavenly Bodies. They gave the New Foundation everything they could handle and more, but somehow Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart were able to pull it out. They showed great heart and desire when Cornette was able to toss his tennis racquet into the ring which Tom Prichard used to nail Owen over the head with. The referee did not see the cheap shot, but Jim Neidhart negated the pinfall attempt by entering the ring and breaking it up. Owen fought long and hard to eventually make the hot tag to Neidhart which led to an all out brawl in the middle of the ring. The New Foundation were able to take over control and hit the Rocket Launcher to get the three count. Jim Cornette threw a hissy fit at ringside while the New Foundation celebrated in the ring. They motioned like they wanted the tag titles around their waists, and they will get that opportunity in a little over a week’s time at WrestleMania VIII. Up on the interview podium, Sean Mooney interviewed Kevin Von Erich. This was Kevin’s second appearance in the WWF, and he looked like he had been put through the wringer after last week’s attack at the hands of Papa Shango, Luna Vachon, and Kerry Von Erich. Kevin said he had come to the realization last week that this was a problem that was not just going to go away. He said the man that was out here last week was not his brother, and Papa Shango had some sort of spell over him. At this point, the lights went out and laughter was heard throughout the arena. Papa Shango, Luna Vachon, and Kerry Von Erich stepped out from the entrance way and made their way slowly to the podium. Shango told Kevin that of course he had a spell over Kerry. He could feel Kerry fight daily to break that spell, but Shango has too strong of a hold over him. Kevin said if Shango wouldn’t break his hold over his brother then he would do it himself. He promised to knock some sense into Kerry if that’s what it took. Shango said if he wanted that chance then he could have it at WrestleMania, but he would soon realize that Shango would never release his hold over Kerry. Kevin said that after he knocked some sense into Kerry and he got his brother back, he would punish Shango for everything he has put his family through. The lights began to flicker and when they came back on fully, Shango, Vachon, and Kerry Von Erich were gone. Vince McMahon could not believe what he had just seen. Mr. Perfect said he was no fan of Kevin Von Erich, but even he felt a little bit worried for Kevin’s safety at WrestleMania. McMahon hoped that Kevin would be able to break through whatever barrier Shango had put up in Kerry Von Erich’s head and get him back to the man he knew he was. Perfect, on the other hand, thought this version of Kerry Von Erich might be preferable to the man that had defeated him for the Intercontinental Title a couple of years back. Bret Hart defeated Ian Weston when Ian Weston passed out in the Sharpshooter in 0:02:59. Rating: ** ¼ Bret Hart cut an insert promo during his match. He said he was sick and tired of being taken advantage of, and he would remember the actions of Roddy Piper from Prime Time when it comes to their match at WrestleMania. Hart told Piper to enjoy his title now because in a week’s time the title would be back where it belongs. Hart wished the New Foundation luck in their match at WrestleMania, and he said he would be watching it very closely. Bret Hart put his opponent away today with little difficulties, quickly hooking him in the Sharpshooter. A promo aired for the new tag team coming to the WWF, QuickFire. Shane Douglas said they may not be the biggest guys on the roster, and they may not fly as high as the New Foundation, but they could stand toe to toe with any tag team the WWF has to offer. Tom Zenk said they will take the WWF by storm because they are quick and precise. Douglas said they would be at WrestleMania in the battle royal to show just what they are capable of. Tatanka pinned Brooklyn Brawler with the End of the Trail in 0:02:42. Rating: ** After the match, Tatanka grabbed a microphone from ringside announcer Howard Finkel. Tatanka said he was sick and tired of IRS. He said all he ever wanted to do was to come to the WWF and showcase his talent like Wahoo McDaniel and Jay Strongbow. He realized now that he would have to handle IRS’ pre-conceived notions about Native Americans, and that they were poisoning his time here. IRS made his way down the aisle with microphone in hand. He said that Tatanka didn’t need to prove anything to anyone – except prove that he has paid his taxes in full! Tatanka had enough of this and demanded that IRS get in the ring, but IRS laughed it off. Tatanka told him to laugh all he wants now, but he had talked to President Tunney, and he had agreed to sign a match between them for WrestleMania VIII! IRS threw a fit on the outside while Tatanka had a huge grin on his face inside the ring. Backstage, Sean Mooney interviewed the Big Boss Man. Boss Man said he tried to be a friend to Greg Valentine, and all it got him was a big knife in the back. He had found a couple of men that he knew would never turn their backs on him, and if Wippleman or any of his lackeys decided to get involved in his match today, they would be there for him. He said the time had come for Harvey Wippleman and his crew to see what it is like to serve hard time. Big Boss Man defeated Greg Valentine by disqualification in 0:07:57. Rating: ** Big Boss Man had this match well in hand when he dropped Greg Valentine with the Boss Man Slam. As he went for the cover, Harvey Wippleman broke up the pinfall attempt. Boss Man looked furious as he got to his feet and grabbed Harvey by the shirt. It looked like he was going to nail Wippleman, but it was broken up by Warlord and Hercules storming the ring. Warlord and Hercules started to pound on the Boss Man, but they only had a few seconds before Legion of Doom burst down the aisle! The crowd exploded as Hawk and Animal slid into the ring and quickly cleared it of Wippleman, Valentine, Hercules, and Warlord. LOD helped Big Boss Man to his feet as Wippleman screamed on the outside as to how Legion of Doom shouldn’t be out there. Boss Man, Hawk, and Animal motioned that they wanted Wippleman’s crew to get back into the ring, but Harvey was there to hold them back. McMahon was ecstatic that Boss Man had found a couple of guys like the Legion of Doom to watch his back. Perfect did not know what business it was of LOD’s. He thought they should have stayed in the back where they belong. McMahon said it was only fair since no man can handle a three on one. McMahon announced that he had already heard from President Tunney that another match had been signed for WrestleMania VIII as Big Boss Man will be teaming up with Legion of Doom to face Greg Valentine, Hercules, and Warlord. Perfect couldn’t believe Tunney would make such a bad decision without, at least, discussing it with Harvey Wippleman, but McMahon could not wait for Harvey Wippleman to finally be taught a lesson. WWF Notes: On the upcoming edition of Prime Time Wrestling, we will be in the week of WrestleMania VIII! Ric Flair argued that it was unfair that he had to defend his World Heavyweight Championship last week while Hulk Hogan has been able to take it easy. President Tunney agreed with Flair and has signed a match for Hogan next week where he will face the Warlord. Warlord has been on a very impressive run as of late, and with Harvey Wippleman by his side, he might be able to pull off quite the upset. Also, in action will be Shawn Michaels as he goes one on one with Sgt. Slaughter. This has to be one of the biggest matches Michaels has had since he turned his back on Marty Jannetty. Bret Hart will wrestle Jake “the Snake” Roberts! Everyone will be looking to gain some momentum as it will be just six days until WrestleMania! And the Road to WrestleMania grows closer. Next week on Superstars! the WWF prepares itself for WrestleMania! We will be only a day away from the premiere event the WWF has to offer. We will surely hear from the majority of participants that will be in action on April 5th. Not only that, but Superstars! will be headlined by the Undertaker going up against the Ultimate Warrior. It’s a match that could headline at any arena in the country, and Superstars! will have it next week! WrestleMania VIII (4/5/92):
World Heavyweight Title: Ric Flair© (w/Mr. Perfect) vs. Hulk Hogan
Intercontinental Title: Roddy Piper© vs. Bret Hart
Tag Team Titles: The Natural Disasters© (w/Jimmy Hart) vs. The New Foundation

For as campy as the angle is (and I mean that as a compliment), I'm surprised to see Kevin Von Erich got on the card for Mania. I'm not complaining as it makes a nice story. I see Kevin kicking some ass but it not being enough to save Kerry.
I like the trouble brewing between Jimmy Hart's tag teams. I can foresee a Nasty Boys face turn in the future (I just don't see the New Foundation getting the belts).
Nice to see you get the card fleshed out for Mania. I was a bit worried about the undercard, but everything has a story of some sort, which is nice to see as back in this era of WWF, that wasn't always the case. This is going to be a great show.
One week to go! Glad to have you back, bud.

The Papa Shango angle is something that probably would be on WrestleCrap, but I don't care since I like it. Glad to see you can get into an early '90s angle that probably would have only been over during that time period. The WrestleMania card is complete. I kind of went a bit overboard on announcing matches on this show, but I really wanted to get them all in the lineup before the week of the show. Thanks for the comments, Ryan!

Prime Time Wrestling Stamford, CT |March 30 1992 Host: Vince McMahon Discussion Panel: Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby Heenan, Mr. Perfect Commentators for Matches: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan, Vince McMahon and Mr. Perfect, Sean Mooney and Lord Alfred Hayes[/b] Vince McMahon welcomed everyone to tonight’s edition of Prime Time Wrestling. Bobby Heenan seemed a little giddy as he exclaimed that he could not wait until Warlord hooked Hulk Hogan into the Full Nelson. Mr. Perfect expressed regret that the WrestleMania main event may not be taking place since Hogan would not be able to compete. Gorilla Monsoon called it hogwash, saying that the only way Hogan would not be at WrestleMania is if he was in the hospital. Perfect admitted that might just be Warlord’s plan, to put Hogan in the hospital. McMahon looked aghast that someone would try and make a name for themselves by putting Hogan on the shelf. Talk moved the Rockers colliding at WrestleMania. Heenan still thought that Michaels should be involved in a larger match than fighting his no-name partner, Marty Jannetty. Monsoon said Jannetty was one of the fastest up and coming superstars the WWF currently has on its roster, and he always had considered him the captain of the Rockers. Perfect said Monsoon was giving away any credibility he had by that statement. Perfect knew Michaels is a future star while Jannetty should go work in a diner somewhere. McMahon said Michaels would have his toughest challenge to date, just a week before WrestleMania, as he would be going up against Sgt. Slaughter – next. Shawn Michaels pinned Sgt. Slaughter after a roll up in 0:08:25. Rating: ** ¼ Shawn Michaels was out to prove himself against a former World Champion, but Sgt. Slaughter was not willing to be pushed around. Slaughter was able to control Michaels’ high-flying for the majority of the match with some nice mat wrestling. Michaels was growing pretty frustrated as he kept kicking at the ropes every time he was able to escape from Slaughter’s grasp. It looked like Slaughter had this match won when he locked Michaels in the Cobra Clutch, but at that point in time, Mr. Fuji walked out from the entrance curtain with the Japanese flag. Slaughter released Michaels and started to yell down the aisle at Fuji, but this allowed Michaels to roll Slaughter up from behind, hook the tights, and get the three count. Michaels hightailed it out of there before Slaughter could react. Fuji laughed in the aisle and told the camera that Slaughter and Jim Duggan would be destroyed at WrestleMania when they meet up with his man in the battle royal. Back in the WWF studios, Perfect said it was great to see Mr. Fuji back in the WWF after his hiatus. Monsoon hoped Slaughter and Duggan, both in the battle royal at WrestleMania, would get their hands on Fuji once again. McMahon said Fuji is a pest that will not go away. Heenan pondered who would be Mr. Fuji’s man in the battle royal. He knew that Fuji would not leave Japan unless he was certain he had found a man capable of defeating Team USA. McMahon said the battle royal was already filling out nicely as not only would Team USA and Mr. Fuji’s man be involved, but so would Tito Santana, the Nasty Boys, the Beverly Brothers, Jimmy Snuka, Repo Man, the Mountie, Virgil, Rick Martel, and a new tag team known as QuickFire, consisting of Tom Zenk and Shane Douglas. Legion of Doom (Hawk and Animal) defeated The Avery Brothers (Bob Avery and Brad Avery) when Hawk pinned Bob Avery with the Doomsday Device in 0:03:11. Rating: ** ½ Legion of Doom cut an insert promo during their match. Hawk said he was sick and tired of seeing puny, little runts like Harvey Wippleman acting like they are big and tough. Animal said the Big Boss Man is a friend of theirs, and they don’t ever sit by and watch a friend be outnumbered. Hawk told Wippleman to get his men ready for a war at WrestleMania. Legion of Doom’s opponents tonight tried to be a little cute as several times throughout the bout they would try and use underhanded tactics like sticking a thumb in their eye or raking at the eyes to get the advantage. This simply served to annoy Legion of Doom who planted both men with the Doomsday Device after the match. The Berzerker pinned Sandy Beach with the Piledriver in 0:03:14. Rating: ** It looked like the Berzerker was going go through his normal routine of beating up his opponent and tossing him over the top rope to get counted out. However, just as he was about to hurl him to the outside, Slick ran down. Slick told Berzerker to let the man down which, surprisingly enough, he did. Slick said a few more words to the Berzerker which led up to the Piledriver and an actual pinfall. The Berzerker still stomped around the ring afterwards, but once he saw Slick leaving the ringside, he quickly followed behind. McMahon brought up the brutal attack the Bushwhackers suffered at the hands of the Natural Disasters a couple of weeks ago. Monsoon thought it was a heinous way to take out their anger since Earthquake was unable to win the World Title from Ric Flair. Perfect couldn’t blame them as he had always wanted to go down to the ring and smack the Bushwhackers around a bit. Heenan said it made a statement to the New Foundation that they never should have messed with them. McMahon stood up for the New Foundation, saying that they were definite the Natural Disasters had attacked Jim Neidhart backstage. Perfect, looking a little guilty, agreed with McMahon since it was obvious that Earthquake and Typhoon had ambushed Neidhart. Heenan looked a little confused. McMahon said the Bushwhackers were looking for a bit of revenge, and Jimmy Hart had agreed to put the Tag Titles on the line to showcase just what they were going to do to Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart at WrestleMania. The Natural Disasters (Earthquake and Typhoon) defeated The Bushwhackers (Bushwhacker Luke and Bushwhacker Butch) when Typhoon pinned Luke with the Big Splash in 0:07:24. Rating: -1/2* (The Natural Disasters retained the WWF Tag Team Titles.) If the Natural Disasters were wanting to put a scare into the New Foundation, they did their job here tonight. Butch and Luke were looking for some payback, but instead, they just got more of the same. At one point Earthquake and Typhoon took turns avalanching Butch in the corner. Luke tried to intervene, but all he got was a powerslam by Earthquake and the Big Splash from Typhoon. It looked like the Natural Disasters were going to continue their attack on the Bushwhackers after the bell, but the New Foundation ran down the aisle to make the save. Earthquake tried to cut them off, but Owen Hart nailed him with a series of beautiful dropkicks that sent him out of the ring. Meanwhile, Neidhart just plowed into Typhoon with a shoulderblock that sent Typhoon stumbling through the ropes. The New Foundation looked fired up, and the Natural Disasters wanted to get back into the ring with them, but Jimmy Hart was there to calm them down. The camera picked up Jimmy saying that they would get their hands on them at WrestleMania and to wait until then. Vince McMahon wanted to welcome Kevin Von Erich to the WWF roster. He was happy to have another Von Erich signed, but he hoped that Kevin was able to break through whatever barrier Papa Shango had put up in Kerry’s mind. Heenan said Kevin was nuts for trying to get involved with Papa Shango or Luna Vachon, and he should just cut ties and run. Perfect didn’t think Kevin was going to be able to get the job done at WrestleMania against Kerry Von Erich, but Gorilla Monsoon thought otherwise. Monsoon said he knew Kevin Von Erich very well, and he was a man that would not quit until he had accomplished his goal. Monsoon thought the day after WrestleMania, both Kerry and Kevin, would be back home at the family’s ranch in Texas. Heenan yelled at Monsoon to wake up and realize what was going on here. Papa Shango had complete control over Kerry Von Erich, and he was not going to let him go. Monsoon and Heenan argued as McMahon proudly announced that we were going to the ring for Kevin Von Erich’s first match in a WWF ring. Kevin Von Erich made Jerry Allen submit to the Claw in 0:03:54. Rating: * ¾ Kevin Von Erich was very impressive in his first match here in the WWF. Kerry Von Erich’s Claw might be well known, but Kevin Von Erich’s is legendary. He was able to secure the submission with it just a few minutes into the match. Kevin Von Erich better continue to be on his game as he is in for the fight of his life at WrestleMania VIII. Jake Roberts pinned Bret Hart with the DDT in 0:09:37. Rating: ** ¾ Bret Hart let it be known on Superstars! that he was tired of being taken advantage of. Tonight, he was able to take out some of his frustration on Jake Roberts. Bret looked like he was going to pull out the victory, but Roberts pulled the referee into a crossbody block. This put an end to Hart’s momentum, and while “the Hitman” checked up on the fallen official, Jake Roberts went to the outside and grabbed a chair. Hart never saw the chairshot coming, but he sure did feel it. At this point in the match, Intercontinental Champion Roddy Piper stepped out of from the entrance curtain. He took several steps towards the ring but then stopped. Roberts saw Piper in the aisle, but he quickly realized that Piper was not coming for the rescue. Roberts picked Bret up and drilled him with the DDT just as the referee was coming to. Roberts rolled Hart over and got the three count while Piper continued to watch on. Once Roberts had his hand raised, Piper charged the ring and cleared it of Jake “The Snake” Roberts, but it appeared to be more for show than anything else. Bret Hart was not going to be a happy camper when he realized what just happened. Heenan said he had always known Piper would only look out for his best interests. McMahon was surprised by Piper’s actions, but Monsoon reminded everyone that the Intercontinental Championship means more to Piper than just about anything else. Perfect was happy to see some backbone from Piper. He said there was no reason for him to get involved in the match, and it wasn’t like Piper and Hart were best friends outside of the arena. McMahon thought Piper and Hart had a mutual respect for one another, but Perfect said when it’s somebody you respect, all the more reason to let them get their head caved in. You don’t respect people that don’t pose a threat to you. Monsoon knew that Bret Hart almost lost it last week when Piper used Hart to get a victory over Rick Martel, he was afraid of what Bret would do once he realized Piper could have saved him from the DDT and defeat tonight. Rick Martel made Mike Casey submit to the Boston Crab in 0:03:29. Rating: * ½ Rick Martel got back on track with a submission victory tonight. Rick Martel has announced that he will be throwing his name into the battle royal at WrestleMania. There is not an announced prize for winning the battle royal, but a victory on the biggest stage of them all can only help people advance in their careers. Before our next match, Harvey Wippleman came down the aisle with Warlord, Hercules, and Greg Valentine. It quickly became obvious that Wippleman was going to use every resource he had to guarantee the Warlord’s victory over Hulk Hogan tonight. Hulk Hogan was out next, but he didn’t immediately go after Warlord. Instead he motioned to the Fink that he wanted the microphone. Hogan said he realized Warlord had quite a few friends around here, but he had some friends too, and they were just dying to get a front row seat to see him run wild over Warlord. Big Boss Man and the Legion of Doom stepped out from the entranceway at this point much to the chagrin of Harvey Wippleman. Hawk, Animal, and the Boss Man all came down to Hogan’s corner while Wippleman demanded that the referee kick them out of there. During the confusion, Warlord ambushed Hogan and the match got underway. Hulk Hogan pinned Warlord with the Big Leg Drop in 0:08:23. Rating: -* ¾ Just a few minutes into the match, Greg Valentine got involved by tripping up Hogan after he had been whipped into the ropes. Things became unglued at that point as Boss Man and the Legion of Doom chased Wippleman, Valentine, and Hercules to the back. They were at a full sprint when they got to the curtain, and they were not seen for the rest of the bout. Even without his manager, Warlord was able to control a lot of the match using his brute strength. However, when he tried for his Full Nelson, Hogan was somehow able to power out of it before Warlord got his fingers clinched. Seconds later a bodyslam was followed by the Big Boot and the Big Leg Drop, giving Hogan the victory. Hogan posed in the ring for several minutes after while the crowd went crazy. When we came back to the WWF studios, Mr. Perfect was on the phone that they keep on the table. Perfect was telling someone that they were not going to be receiving a call after WrestleMania, that nobody is missing him, and if he really wanted to make an impact in the WWF, he needed to get back here right away. Monsoon questioned Heenan who Perfect was talking to, but Heenan admitted that he had no idea. Monsoon started pestering Perfect, but Perfect kept brushing Monsoon off as he continued to talk on the phone. McMahon made sure everyone remembered that WrestleMania was this coming Sunday, and be sure to tune in to Superstars! on Saturday as the WWF prepares for the biggest show of them all. WWF Notes: This week on Superstars! the WWF prepares itself for WrestleMania! We will be only a day away from the premiere event the WWF has to offer. Superstars, March 28 First, good to see you back in action! Interesting to see who Mr. Fuji will bring with him from Japan. A Slaughter-feud looks to be in the works for whoever it is. The Hart/Nasty Boys/Natural Disaster situation is similar to the one Ryan had in GCW with Blassie managing two teams. It imploded there, and I guess it will here too But I don't think either of the teams will break up. Poor druids. Not cool to kill the messenger! Your tag-team ranks are really swelling up. I was a little surprised to see Heavenly Bodies lose their momentum so quickly, but I guess you need those second tier tag teams that will make the top tier ones look really good. A fine win for The New Foundation just days before Mania. LOD coming to Boss Man's help was really cool. I hope there will be a big six-man tag match at Mania. I think the card looks über-awesome!

Piper is such a dick. Not helping Bret is a douche move, but it's the last thing to really put that match over the top. Should be a great match.
Oooh... a more refined Berzerker? Doing Piledrivers? What a gentleman!
Harvey Whippleman's best laid plans didn't come to fruition thanks to Boss Man & LOD. I mean, you knew Hogan was going to win, but it was a nice way to do it. And Warlord didn't really look much weaker for the loss.
Superstars is a-comin'!

Prime Time March 30
Cheap win for MIchaels, but it was the only way to save Slaughter's credibility from his upcoming feud against whoever Fuji's bringing.
A wrestler named Sandy Beach? Sounds more like a pornstar :-D
That was one ugly tag-team title match. Luckily Owen and Jim came out to save the day!
Strange behaviour for Piper. He's definitely turning heel I think.
Ha! I love Perfect's behaviour in the panel. The foursome are perfect together, I think.
Lots of big matches tonight, it is evident that Mania is only days away!

I saw the name Sandy Beach when looking up jobbers, and I couldn't resist.
Yeah, didn't expect negative stars. I'm not a huge fan of them anyways, but it definitely made me sour on the Bushwhackers.
Perfect is my favorite guy to write. Because of this, I probably give him the better things to say and do. Still, he's really fun right now.

Superstars! Mobile, AL | April 4 1992 Commentators: Vince McMahon and Mr. Perfect[/b] Vince McMahon welcomed everyone to this WrestleMania VIII go home show of Superstars! McMahon reminded the viewers that we are just a day away from WrestleMania and that it's the biggest day of the year is for the WWF. Perfect said he could feel the electricity in the back, all the wrestlers knew they were getting close to the biggest show of them all where millions of viewers would be watching them. McMahon said that they had a great line up for today’s show, including the main event of the Undertaker facing the Ultimate Warrior. He also said that we would be hearing from quite a few of the competitors that will be in action at WrestleMania VIII. Perfect couldn’t wait to hear from the WWF Champion, Ric Flair, but McMahon was interested to see what Hulk Hogan had to say the day before he was going after his fifth World Title. Marty Jannetty pinned Ian Weston with the Rocker Dropper in 0:02:53. Rating: ** Marty Jannetty looks like he is well prepared for his match tomorrow with his former partner, Shawn Michaels. The Rocker Dropper is a move he has used for years, and he has begun to use it to put away his opponents in singles action. Comments aired from Shawn Michaels about his match with Jannetty. Michaels reminded everyone that he did not want this match to happen, and that he would not be responsible for what happened to Jannetty. Michaels said he was meant for great things, and Jannetty holding on to his coat tails was just delaying the process. He promised Jannetty would no longer be a factor in his career after WrestleMania. Backstage, Team USA said that they would make the country proud when they entered the battle royal tomorrow. Sgt. Slaughter said he could care less who Mr. Fuji brought to the ring because they would have the support of all the rightful citizens of the United States. Jim Duggan said he would show the other nineteen men in the match who the real tough guy is in the WWF. He let out a battle chant of “Hooo!” as Slaughter saluted the camera. Ted DiBiase defeated Duane Gill when Gill passed out in the Million Dollar Dream in 0:03:07. Rating: ** Ted DiBiase cut an insert promo during his match. He said that he was the last man you wanted to laugh at. DiBiase told Davey Boy Smith that even with a couple of imbeciles like the Barbarian and “Sensational” Sherri in his corner, he would show him why you never laugh at the Million Dollar Man. DiBiase had no problems with his opponent today. After the match, he ordered the Barbarian into the ring to continue the punishment of Duane Gill. The Barbarian nailed Gill with a couple of big boots that nearly knocked his head off. “Sensational” Sherri joined them in the ring and gave the Barbarian a kiss for his “heroic” acts. DiBiase acted like he was disgusted by the whole thing. Pre-recorded comments aired from the British Bulldog. Davey Boy said he was sick and tired of watching people cheat their way to the top. Davey Boy was just happy for once to see it backfire on someone, and there was no better man for it to happen to than Ted DiBiase. DBS said he had watched DiBiase for all of these years try to buy his way to the top, but it has never gotten him anywhere near the World Title. He could not help but laugh at him for everything he has failed to accomplish, the Barbarian and Sherri Martel just being the latest blunder of his. Backstage, Roddy Piper was interviewed by Sean Mooney. Mooney questioned Piper about his recent actions. Piper responded that he liked Bret Hart, but at this point, Bret wants his Intercontinental Title, and he will do anything to retain it. Piper told Bret that he respects him a great deal, but come WrestleMania, they are enemies, not friends. After WrestleMania, he will apologize for all the things he will do to make sure he holds onto his gold, but until then, don’t go into that match expecting a handshake and a wrestling match – expect a fight. QuickFire (Tom Zenk and Shane Douglas) defeated The Avery Brothers (Bob Avery and Brad Avery) when Zenk pinned Bob Avery with the Gatling Gun in 0:04:01. Rating: * ½ QuickFire made their in ring debut here today on Superstars! and were quite impressive. Tom Zenk and Shane Douglas were able some nice chain wrestling with a little bit of aerial ability as well. If they can continue to show this amount of ability, they will be a definite threat to the tag team division. The Gatling Gun put their opponents away, a move where Douglas lifted his opponent on his shoulders, and Tom Zenk flew off with a dropkick off the top rope. QuickFire are now headed into WrestleMania to enter the battle royal. The nerves must be high for them since it will only their second day in the WWF as a tag team. “Mean” Gene Okerlund interviewed World Champion Ric Flair up on the podium. Flair had his adrenaline pumping as he talked about how he could not wait for tomorrow to show who the real wrestling icon is. Flair told Hogan that when you have the championship you are the man, and to be the man you have to beat the man, and Flair was the man. Flair promised Hogan that he would know why they call him the ‘dirtiest player in the game’ at WrestleMania. With Mr. Perfect by his side, he was going to show why fifty years from now people would still be talking about Ric Flair, and Hulk Hogan would just be a footnote of people Flair defeated. Flair warned Hogan to not make a mistake because it would be his last. McMahon talked about what strong words Flair had for Hogan, but he didn’t know if Flair could back them up. Perfect said Flair had always done what he set out to do, and tomorrow would be no different. He reminded McMahon that Flair came to the WWF as the true World’s Champion, and just to prove it, he won the Royal Rumble to become World Champion again. Perfect bragged that Flair came into the WWF as champion and would retire from the WWF as champion. This led into McMahon questioning Perfect on who he was talking to on the phone during Prime Time Wrestling? Perfect told McMahon to mind his own business. Greg Valentine pinned Hawk after a roll up in 0:07:15. Rating: ** ¼ This match was scheduled to be a preview of the big six man tag at WrestleMania. That’s exactly what we got as both men were accompanied by their teammates. Hawk had Animal and the Big Boss Man cheering him on while Greg Valentine had his manager, Harvey Wippleman, Hercules, and Warlord on his side. It didn’t take long before a brawl erupted on the outside. During the confusion, Hawk stuck his head out between the ropes to try and pull Hercules away from Animal. This left him wide open for Warlord to grab his head and clothesline him off the middle rope. Hawk staggered backwards and right into a roll up from Valentine. Valentine hooked the tights and put his feet on the middle rope for leverage, giving Valentine the win. After the match, Big Boss Man grabbed his night stick and nailed Hercules in the gut with it. Warlord grabbed a chair and jabbed it into Animal’s breadbasket. Wippleman was trying to avoid the action as Valentine came off the ring apron with a double axehandle on Boss Man. Hawk soon followed by jumping off the ring apron with a clothesline onto Warlord. All six men continued to brawl around ringside until numerous WWF officials stormed down to ringside. Eventually guys like Jim Powers, the Brooklyn Brawler, and Koko B. Ware also came down to separate the men. Backstage, Jimmy Hart and the World Tag Team Champions, the Natural Disasters, had some words for the New Foundation. Jimmy admitted he had never seen the Disasters in this foul of a mood. He said they were hungry for revenge, and you don’t want to get in their way when they are hungry. Earthquake promised Jim Neidhart and Owen Hart would feel the pain he felt when they cost him the World Title. Typhoon said he sticks up for his friends, and he had no better friend than Earthquake. Earthquake growled that he did not want to just win the match at WrestleMania, he was wanting to hurt the New Foundation badly. Jimmy Hart told them to reserve a room in the hospital because that’s where they were going tomorrow night. A WWF Update! with “Mean” Gene Okerlund aired. The focus was on Irwin R. Schyster’s current feud with Tatanka. He showed clips of how the feud began, and the attack two weeks ago on Tatanka by IRS outside the arena with a briefcase that caused Tatanka to be busted wide open. Okerlund announced that Tatanka would have a special surprise for IRS at WrestleMania, but there was no word yet on what that would be. The Ultimate Warrior defeated The Undertaker by disqualification in 0:06:53. Rating: DUD This match had all the makings to be an epic encounter between two of the best wrestlers the WWF has ever seen. It did start out that way with the Undertaker and Warrior throwing everything they had at one another, but neither man would stay down for long. Things really began to get heated when the Ultimate Warrior nailed him with a diving shoulderblock, but the Undertaker barely budged. Warrior tried another with the same result. It finally took a third one to send the Undertaker a few steps backwards where he fell over the top rope, but he was still able to land on his feet. The Ultimate Warrior was shocked, but the Undertaker is well known for being able to handle a ton of punishment. The Undertaker got the same treatment later on in the match when he grabbed the Warrior by the throat and planted him with a chokeslam. Warrior immediately popped back to his feet and shook the ring ropes to expel whatever pain he was feeling. Paul Bearer immediately called for reinforcements which came in the form of Jake Roberts running down the aisle. Roberts slid into the ring and ambushed Warrior causing the disqualification. The Undertaker did not seem to care that his ally, Jake Roberts, had cost him the match. Instead, Roberts and ‘taker took turns putting the boots to the Warrior. Paul Bearer handed the Undertaker the urn which Undertaker used to smash over the head of the Warrior. Roberts lifted Warrior up and nailed him with the DDT to put an exclamation on the attack. Roberts demanded the microphone from Howard Finkel. Roberts asked Randy Savage if this was supposed to be his savior? Roberts said the Warrior could not save Savage, and tomorrow would have the same result. After they disposed of the Warrior, the Undertaker and Roberts would finish Savage off for good. Roberts told Savage to take out a good insurance policy because he wanted to live comfortably with Elizabeth after Savage was gone. The Undertaker applied a chokehold to Warrior at this time and refused to let go. Officials came down to try and break it up, but it was no use as Paul Bearer and Roberts held them off. It eventually took President Tunney walking out and threatening them with suspension and keeping them off the WrestleMania card for the Undertaker to release his hold. Roberts and Paul Bearer shared a laugh as they walked to the back while the Undertaker slowly followed. Vince McMahon was aghast at what had just happened, especially since Randy Savage was not in the arena to try and rescue the Ultimate Warrior. Perfect said he had tried to warn Savage and the Warrior, but no one would listen. McMahon had heard that the Warrior was receiving medical treatment in the back, but that he would be fine, and was still okay to wrestle at WrestleMania. Perfect said he might be okay to wrestle, but that doesn’t mean he will show up. Perfect thought Warrior might decide to live and fight another day instead of showing up to his own funeral. To close the show, Hulk Hogan was interviewed by Brutus Beefcake in the Barber Shop. Beefcake asked Hogan if he was ready for WrestleMania? Hogan said there hasn’t been a day since Royal Rumble that he hasn’t thought about winning back the World Title. He said the happiest day of his life was when he defeated the Iron Sheik to win his first World Title. He said even that moment would be overshadowed after WrestleMania VIII when he pinned Ric Flair, cleanly, in the middle of the ring. Hogan said there have always been talks of a dream match between Hogan and Flair, and tomorrow it would finally happen. Hogan wasn’t deaf; he heard the arguments that Flair was the real World Champion while Hogan was defending his World Title against guys like Andre the Giant, King Kong Bundy, and Randy Savage. Hogan said he would finally be able to prove who the real World Champion was during all of those years that people disputed it. Hogan told Flair to bring Perfect, bring Heenan, bring whomever, but Hulkamania was going to run wild over all of them tomorrow at WrestleMania VIII! McMahon apologized for Mr. Perfect, saying that Perfect had left the booth for an emergency phone call. McMahon made sure everyone knew to call their local cable company and order WrestleMania VIII because it was guaranteed to the biggest night of the year. WWF Notes: WrestleMania VIII is this Sunday, and it is promising to be one of the biggest events in WWF history. The Hoosier Dome is already sold out, and the world is abuzz with just what could happen at the event. Will we see a new World Champion in Hulk Hogan? Can Roddy Piper and Bret Hart’s friendship survive their contest? Will the New Foundation upset the Natural Disasters? And will Randy Savage and the Ultimate Warrior put an end to Jake Roberts and the Undertaker’s reign of terror? Next week on Prime Time Wrestling, we will see all of the fallout from WrestleMania. We will hear from the World Champion, whomever that may be, as well as the Nasty Boys facing off against Virgil and Jimmy Snuka. The same can be said for Superstars! in one week’s time. We will hear from some of the competitors at WrestleMania, QuickFire will be in action, and Legion of Doom will go at it with the Heavenly Bodies! The week after WrestleMania sets the tone for the rest of the year, and it is bound to be action packed! WrestleMania VIII (4/5/92):

Strong interviews from Hogan and Flair. This angle really writes itself. Still curious as to who Perfect's been talking to though...
Fuji's mystery man... I'm thinking he wins the battle royal because I think it's Yokozuna.
Fun brawl between all the members of the 6-man tag. I love those big crazy pull apart battles. It's such a time-tested way to build heat.
Warrior/Taker match was a little rough, eh? Still, this one was all angle, and Warrior gets softened up with Savage not in the building. Will Warrior have any ill will toward Savage over that?
PREDICTIONS!
Hogan beats Flair Bret beats Piper Natural Disasters retain Taker/Roberts Michaels Davey Boy Kevin Von Erich by DQ Tatanka Whippleman's team Yoko debuts and wins the battle royal
BTW, you may have covered this and I simply forgot what happened, but... where did Sid go?

You did a nice review of all the feuds and matches culminating in Wrestlemania. It's almost as if one could pick up watching/reading on this show, and not be totally clueless at Wrestlemania.
Flair retains against Hogan Bret beats Piper Natural Disasters retain Savage/Warrior Michaels Davey Boy Kevin Von Erich by DQ Tatanka LoD/Boss Man
Ryan's guess about Yokozuna is really good, but I didn't think of it myself and refuse to predict the same. I will go with Berzerker then. Maybe Mr. Fuji's guy is The Great Muta? Nah.. it's probably Yoko..

SO CLOSE to WrestleMania! Predictions:
JOBBERMANIA in that Battle Royal. I hope the mystery man (SID!) wins it and quickly. Quick, old timey WrestleMania/30 second squash for LOD and Bossman. One of those where they score the pinfall while their intro music is still playing. Tatanka's got a future, so gotta' be him. Kerry for sure. I like Dark Tornado. Davey Boy in the sleeper hit of the night. Shawn over Marty Roberts eats the pin, Undertaker gives Savage aaahhhhhh the choke slam! Nobody with "New" in the name wins the titles. Natural Disasters. I feel like you might try to swerve us. I'll go with Piper over Bret in a full heel turn, setting up a rematch. Hogan over Flair, setting up Perfect v. Hogan.

Ryan:
3/9/92 episode of Prime Time Wrestling:
Sean Mooney conducted an interview with Sid Justice up on the podium. Justice said he had come to a realization after SNME. He said he should have known it after the Royal Rumble, but he was being naïve. He said he now knows that Hulk Hogan will always get all the breaks in the WWF. That was the only way to explain why after he was the last man eliminated from the Rumble, a match he was cheated out of, he was not given the World Title shot at WrestleMania. It was the only way to explain why the idiotic fans continued to cheer Hogan after he stole away the pinfall he had earned at SNME. The reasoning why he could beat Ric Flair with his eyes closed, yet Hogan was getting his millionth main event at WrestleMania. Sid Justice said he was through with the WWF. He said he would be sitting at home, watching WrestleMania on pay-per-view, and waiting for that phone call from the WWF, saying how sorry they were, and to please come back because they realized they lost the best thing in wrestling today. Justice said he could not wait to tell the WWF and President Tunney where they can put their apology. Justice slammed the microphone back into Mooney’s chest causing Mooney to land on his backside. Justice showed some rude gestures to the fans that were booing him as he stormed off the stage.
Rey:
I was trying to pull off a summary show without it being too boring. I don't know if any new readers will pick it up from here, but I figured even some of the readers I've had for awhile might want a little recap.
Jeff:
I think you're right that nobody with the word 'New' in their name has ever won a title. That's really weird considering how many teams have used 'New' in their name.
Glad somebody else likes the darker Kerry Von Erich. I figured it would be the angle that I enjoy but everybody else hates. Luckily, it seems like I've avoided that so far. After WrestleMania, on the other hand, it may not have many fans at all.
Thanks for the comments, guys!
