That was my idea; trying to give the legends the angles I've seen now, so when/if I get to the current years, that generation would try to improve those angles. It also gives late 70's wrestling a bit more entertainment value.

July 18, 1975 Boston, MA The Boston GardenThe AnnouncementChairman of the Board of Directors Hunter A. Smith came to the ring, and told the audience in Boston that it was time for the biggest announcement since the creation of ACES; starting in January of 1976, they will be broadcasting a new ACES television program; “ACES Wild” that will air every other Saturday, meaning two TV shows a month. He also mentions that in one year’s time, ACES will celebrate the 200th birthday of the United States with a special event that will air in theaters across the country. Wow! ACES gets a television show and a countdown to the 200th birthday of the country. Canada is going to be pissed! Ernie Ladd pinned Stan Hansen with the Boot to the Face in 0:07:08. Rating: ** ¾When Ernie Ladd promises to shut you up, you’d better take the warning and not end up like Stan Hansen, who thought Ladd would be a walk in the park. Ladd was stunned, and Hansen went for the Lariat, but Ladd was just a second quicker and landed the Boot and then quickly covered him for the three. As Ladd was going up the aisle, Hansen attacked him from behind, doing some damage to Ladd’s sternum by gorilla pressing him on to the guardrail. Hansen then challenged him to a Dog Collar Match at next month’s show in Hartford. That match is now official. The Goof Ol' Boys (Hillbilly Jim and Bobby Duncum) defeated Jimmy Valiant and Johnny Valiant when Duncum pinned Johnny Valiant with the Full Nelson Slam in 0:13:32. Rating: *
It finally looks like the team of Duncum and Hillbilly Jim are finally starting to click with this victory over the Valiant Brothers, who we’re learning may not be around much longer. The Dream Team (Dino Bravo and Greg Valentine) defeated The Peacemakers (Tim Woods and Ivan Koloff) when Valentine defeated T. Woods via submission in 0:10:43. Rating: **Jimmy Hart was over the moon about his team earning another shot at the ACES World Tag Team Championship. Bravo continues to prove that he is Canada’s Strongest Man. Blackjack Lanza made Jimmy Snuka submit to the Blackjack Claw in 0:03:59. Rating: **Lanza made short work of Snuka tonight, as he has a title match with The Dream Team next month in Hartford on his mind. Snuka has been on a losing streak as of lately. You have to wonder if Snuka still has the drive to continue on in the squared circle. Jerry Lawler defeated Bill Eadie by disqualification in 0:05:26. Rating: * 1/2 (Jerry Lawler retained the ACES King Of The Ring Crown.)The man who caused the disqualification was a returning Harley Race who was invoking his rematch clause for next month’s show. Race and his crew wanted to get an early advantage by attacking him, but Lawler was assisted by Victor Rivera and Dominic DeNucci. Lawler agreed to a rematch if Race/Davenport/Eadie would face them in a 6-man tag team match next month, but if Race’s team loses, Race must be his “court jester.” Ray Stevens and Jack Brisco battled to a no-contest in 0:00The match couldn’t be rated because it never got started because Stevens attacked Brisco in the aisle, and almost broke his arm ramming it into the guardrails and then placing him in the Chicken-Wing. He almost pulled Brisco’s arm out of the socket until Jerry Brisco arrived and helped his brother, or at least he almost did, but Jerry had other ideas and gives his brother back to Stevens, who continues to apply the Chicken-Wing. It took almost the entire arena security to remove Stevens, as he and Jerry Brisco leave to a mountain of boos. Who is Muraco’s partner?Don Muraco comes to the ring, and he claims that after being thrown into the freezing waters back in Baltimore, he had an epiphany. Muraco said he would fight for the fans, and that we should start calling him “The Iceman” Don Muraco. He continues on by telling the audience that the first thing he did after getting out of the hospital was make amends to the one man he had a vendetta against, who he tried to run out of the business. That man is none other than PEDRO MORALES!!!!!Don Muraco and Pedro Morales defeated The Oriental Agressors (Kintaro Ohki and Hiro Matsuda) when Muraco pinned Ohki after a grapevine in 0:15:20. Rating: *** 1/2It seems as if Morales is a stand-up guy to let the history between him and Muraco in the past. They clicked very well as a team, and Muraco gets a measure of revenge for what happened at the last show. It was revealed that the team name they’ve chosen is The Icemen and they look to shoot to the top of the tag team division. Ric Flair pinned Billy Robinson with the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:22:22. Rating: *** 1/4 (Ric Flair retained the ACES Jackpot Championship.)This match pretty much went to the outside, and the main entrance way. Flair worked Robinson’s knee most of the match, and it was almost a rehash of last month’s match, but Robinson still held his own, resulting in Ric Flair becoming angry. Towards the end of the match, Flair slapped on the Figure Four in Robinson in the center of the ring. Robinson was close to turning it when Referee Tommy Young was pulled by Flair into the corner. It looked like Robinson was going to turn it over, Flair turned it back. Robinson was starting to use the pain he was in to his advantage, as he was turning it again. As Ref Tommy Young got up, Flair reached into his tights and pulled out brass knuckles, and nailed Robinson. It was terribly sneaky, but Robinson was out like a light and Young gets up and makes a very slow three count as the student has overcome the teacher. Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas defeated Bobby Heenan and Andre the Giant when Atlas defeated Andre by disqualification in 0:06:29. Rating: *Rocky Johnson doesn’t have to leave ACES, the Soul Patrol won the match, but by disqualification, so that makes Heenan extremely happy he didn’t get in the ring. The worst was the interference from The Blackjacks, which lead to the ref to disqualify Heenan and Andre. Johnson & Atlas challenged the Blackjacks to a match, which will happen two shows from tonight in Providence, Rhode Island. Two-out-of-three-Falls Match: Dusty Rhodes beat Larry Zbyszko 2 falls to 1: x Zbyszko beat Dusty Rhodes via the Crunch Time in 0:11:30 x Dusty Rhodes beat Zbyszko via the Bionic Elbowdrop in 0:24:46 x Dusty Rhodes beat Zbyszko via the Bionic Elbowdrop in 0:27:46 Rating: *** 3/4 (Dusty Rhodes retained the ACES World Heavyweight Championship.)Zbyszko was able to out-wrestle Rhodes for that first fall, but that must have lit a fire under Rhodes’ butt, because the second fall did not occur till until 13 minutes later when Zbyszko fell victim to the Bionic Elbowdrop. Both men unleashed what they had left, until Zbyszko tried to put Rhodes in a bearhug, but Rhodes nailed him with a Bionic Elbow, and once Larry let go, Dusty hit the hardest Bionic Elbowdrop for the three count and retains the World Heavyweight Champion. Heenan was furious beyond belief that his men can’t take the title off of “The American Dream” Our next event on August 24 is shaping up to be a barn-burning night of action:
August 24, 1975 Hartford, CT Civic Center
1. Ernie Ladd Vs Stan Hansen (Dog Collar Match) 2. Dusty Rhodes/The Peacemakers Vs Andre The Giant/Billy Graham/Larry Zbyszko 3. The Blackjacks © Vs The Dream Team (ACES World Tag Team Championship) 4. Ray Stevens Vs Jack Brisco 5. Rocky Johnson/Tony Atlas Vs The Funk Brothers 6. Jerry Lawler/Victor Rivera/Dominic DeNucci Vs Harley Race/Davenport/Bill Eadie 7. Pedro Morales/Don Muraco Vs The Killer Outlaws
All this and maybe more…

August 24, 1975 The Hartford Civic Center Hartford, CT The Icemen (Pedro Morales and Don Muraco) defeated Killer Outlaws (Killer Kowalski and Dick Murdoch) when Muraco pinned Murdoch after the The Icebreaker in 0:05:06. Rating: * ½Pedro and Muraco continued to click as a team, as the two made frequent tags and had each others backs. They demonstrated their new finishing move, the Icebreaker, where Morales suplexed Murdoch, and Muraco hit a big splash from the second rope on Murdoch for the victory. Kowalski was not happy with Murdoch after the match. Kowalski pushed Murdoch, but this enraged Murdock and started to brawl with Kowalski. Murdoch eventually got the better of Kowalski, and then proclaimed “CAPTAIN REDNECK IS BACK.”Kamala pinned Luke Graham with the Air Africa in 0:04:07. Rating: 3/4*The Ugandan Giant, better known as Kamala has made his way to ACES, and made short work of the crazy Luke Graham. Kamala’s handler, a man named Kim Chee seemed to be using some sort of behavioral control method to keep the Ugandan native at bay, but we know that this is not the last we’ve seen of Kamala. Soul Patrol (Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas) defeated The Funk Brothers (Terry Funk and Dory Funk Jr.) when R. Johnson pinned D. Funk Jr. with the Johnson Shuffle in 0:08:39. Rating: ** ¾This victory for the Soul Patrol puts them in a great mood for their title match next month in Providence. Johnson made sure to give Atlas a hug after the match, as if he was continuously apologizing for what he did. Jerry Lawler, Victor Rivera and Dominic DeNucci defeated Harley Race, Davenport and Bill Eadie when DeNucci defeated Superstar when Eadie passed out in an armbar in 0:11:29. Rating: **What an embarrassing situation Harley Race has got himself into! Not only does his crew lose the match, but also now Race must be Lawler’s “court jester” for 30 days until our next show in Providence, Rhode Island on September 21. Race won’t get a chance at a rematch for the crown he believes is his. Rivera and DeNucci playfully bowed down to Lawler, who told him to get to their feet. [Jerry Brisco Banned From Ringside]: Ray Stevens and Jack Brisco battled to a no-contest in 0:00 Rating: **** ¼Jerry Brisco was banned from ringside, but it didn’t matter, because the shoe was on the other foot because Jack Brisco decided to do the attacking. He nailed Stevens in during his walk to the aisle, and the two did a fair amount of brawling until Jerry Brisco made it a 2 on 1 affair. Stevens put Jack in the Chicken-Wing, and Jerry took some shots at his brother’s midsection. Jerry then told Stevens he wanted to piledrive his brother on the concrete. It looked like Jack’s career was going to be over when IVAN PUTSKI of all people makes the save, and fights off Stevens and Jerry. Jack Brisco is taken out on a stretcher, and Ivan Putski issues a challenge to Jerry Brisco at next month’s show in Providence. That match is now official. [Titles Can Change Hands via Disqualification or Countout]: The Blackjacks (Blackjack Lanza and Blackjack Mulligan) defeated The Dream Team (Dino Bravo and Greg Valentine) when Mulligan def. Valentine via pinfall in 0:12:36 Rating: ** 1/4 (The Blackjacks retained the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)Before the match started, the audience was informed that the ACES World Tag Team Championship could change hands via Disqualification or Countout. It was weird considering the fans hated both teams. Jimmy Hart and his incessant rambling on his megaphone wasn’t enough of a distraction, and neither was the stipulation. Bravo stayed on the outside most of the time, flexing and playing to the audience, while Greg Valentine proceeded to fight off both Blackjacks. When Valentine attempted to go for a tag, Bravo jumped off the apron. Valentine was shocked and confused, but Bravo made it abundantly clear he no longer wanted to be part of a team that can’t win the tag titles. Valentine fell victim to the Blackjacks double-teaming and three seconds later, The Blackjacks retain the ACES World Tag Team Championship, putting their reign at around 8 months now. Ric Flair pinned Carlos Colon with the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:18:05. Rating: *** 1/2 (Ric Flair retained the ACES Jackpot Championship.) A surprise title defense here as Ric Flair, who is now dressing in bright and gaudy robes, and his opponent, a man who was also returning to the ring after a short absence, Carlos Colon. This was a very good match as each man was known for a variation of the Figure-Four Leglock, only this time, it was Colon on the losing end of it. Colon opted for a wide range of offensive maneuvers while Flair focused on the legs and snuck in some dirty tactics. Flair knew that he had to get even sneakier, so when he put on the Figure Four, he used referee Kevin Bacchus’ position to his advantage and grabbed the ropes for leverage. This made Colon submit and the bell rang. As the referee was checking on Carlos, and Flair was getting his belt, Billy Robinson ran down to the ring and tried to tell Bacchus that Flair was using the ropes for leverage, but Bacchus says he didn’t see it, and Flair attacks Robinson from behind. It escalates into a huge brawl that requires the locker room to empty and keep both men from each other. It works once, but the two find their way to back to each, and the locker room physically removes Flair from the ring. This little situation prompts one of the members of the ACES Board of Directors, Hunter A. Smith, to put an end to it. He asks Robinson what he would do if he could have one more shot at Ric Flair. Robinson retorts that he would retire if he couldn’t beat Ric Flair next month in Providence. Smith says that next month’s main event will be Billy Robinson Vs Ric Flair in a Title Vs Career Match. The Peacemakers (Tim Woods and Ivan Koloff) and Dusty Rhodes defeated The Living Legends (Billy Graham and Larry Zbyszko) and Andre the Giant when I. Koloff pinned Zbyszko with the Russian Sickle in 0:19:26. Rating: **The Living Legends can’t seem to catch a break. First, they lose the World Heavyweight Championship, and then they find themselves with the losers’ share of the purse tonight. Woods and Koloff managed to keep Andre at bay, and then they got him caught up in the ropes, and it looked like he was out of the match. Rhodes started throwing around Bionic Elbows like they were candy. Graham got a few, and then Woods throws him out. Koloff and Zbyszko were the legal men in the ring, and Koloff manages to slip out of Crunch Time, and Koloff nails him with the Russian Sickle. The crowd counts along with referee Tommy Young and the Living Legends are defeated once more. Bobby Heenan was adamant about having Andre get a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship next month.. The Board of Directors have already decided on the main event for next month’s show, but they can give Andre a non-title match, and if Andre wins, he’ll face Dusty in October’s main event. Heenan doesn’t like it much, but it is the best he is going to get. [Dog Collar Match] Stan Hansen pinned Ernie Ladd with the Lariat in 0:17:54. Rating: *** ¼This was more than just a match. It was a fight. When you have two men attached together by a collar around the neck, some blood is bound to be spilled, and that is what happened here. Hansen busted Ladd open early on, and throughout the match, Ladd’s blood started to affect his vision, but then Ladd fought back, and busts Hansen. Both men ended up very red and tired, and the end came when Hansen ducked a boot, followed by throwing his patented Lariat, which Ladd ducked, but Hansen with the metal link collar around his arm turns around immediately nails Ladd with the Lariat. Hansen was a step quicker and it results in a loss for the Big Cat. The audience applauded both men, but Hansen continued to beat on Ladd, blood and all. Through that crimson mask on Hansen’s face, you could see a faint smirk of evil and triumph. If tonight’s card was something else, imagine what next month’s show is going to be like:
September 21, 1975 Providence Civic Center, Providence, RI
1. Ric Flair © Vs Billy Robinson (ACES Jackpot Championship – Title Vs Career) 2. The Blackjacks © w/ Bobby “The Brain” Heenan” Vs The Soul Patrol (ACES World Tag Team Championship) 3. Dusty Rhodes © Vs Andre The Giant w/ Bobby “The Brain” Heenan (Non-Title Match) 4. Ivan Putski Vs Jerry Brisco 5. Billy Graham/Larry Zbyszko Vs The Peacemakers 6. The Icemen Vs The Oriental Agressors w/ The Grand Wizard 7. Dick Murdoch Vs Killer Kowalski 8. “Court Jester” Harley Race Vs Kamala 9. Davenport Vs Luke Graham 10. Greg Valentine Vs Dino Bravo

September 21, 1975 Providence Civic Center Providence, RI Luke Graham pinned Davenport with the Thumb to the Throat in 0:03:47. Rating: **
Finally Luke Graham gets a bit of good luck in his favor by showing the audience he can still win matches, and we learn that Davenport has been given his freedom by Jerry Lawler. Davenport was very thankful for the other piece of advice Lawler gave him; use your first name. Davenport’s first name is Abel. Uh-Oh! Pedro Morales and Don Muraco defeated The Oriental Agressors (Kintaro Ohki and Hiro Matsuda) when Muraco pinned Matsuda after a powerslam in 0:05:55. Rating: **The Icemen continue their winning ways as they gain a second victory over the team that caused them to be a team in the first place. It looks like Muraco is enjoying the time in the spotlight, and he asks Pedro to enjoy it with him. Pedro is reluctant at first, but when the cheers start to rise, he gets into it. Jerry Brisco defeated Ivan Putski when Ivan Putski passed out in a sleeperhold in 0:12:35. Rating: 1/2*While Putski put up a good fight, his first match in ACES was not in his favor, as the new fire under Jerry Brisco showed him that he really didn’t need Jack to be successful. The match came to an end after Jerry slingshot Putski into the turnbuckle post, and followed it up with a sleeperhold to which Putski could not respond. After the match came to an end, Jack Brisco ran out and started to brawl with his brother. A tag team match is scheduled for next month between Jack Brisco/Ivan Putski & Jerry Brisco/Ray Stevens when ACES rolls into Canada for the first time at the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto on October 24th. Dick Murdoch defeated Killer Kowalski by disqualification in 0:09:32. Rating: * ¾The Captain Redneck returned tonight after splitting with Kowalski at the last show. Kowalski was a not small man, and could be compared to Andre The Giant, but about half a foot shorter. Kowalski used his size to his advantage as he was tossing Murdoch around like a rag doll for a bit. Kowalski didn’t want to defeat Murdoch, he wanted to destroy him, which lead to Kowalski not paying to the referee Alan Parker’s count. When realizing what happened, Kowalski went nuts on the referee. He nearly squashed Parker. Security came to the ring and handcuffed Kowalski out of the ring, and referee Parker is coughing up blood. Moments later, we receive news that Kowalski has been suspended indefinitely without pay. Harley Race defeated Kamala via pinfall in 0:09:16. Rating: * ¾Race, dressed in a jester-style outfit, didn’t act like a jester in the ring. He was the same old Harley Race. Tonight, we got to see a different side of Kamala, a side some would call “unintelligent” and Race used this to his advantage, begging off half the time, while using some cheap tricks the other half. The ending came when Kamala was going on the offensive, and went to deliver a splash to Race in the corner. Kamala missed, and Race rolled him up, put his feet on the ropes for leverage and got the three. Kamala’s handler, Kim Chee was not happy. We could only tell that by his actions because he wears that protective safari mask. Ready, Willing, & AbelJerry Lawler came to the ring, and forced Race to dance for the crowd, and was told that if he didn’t, he would be fired. Lawler gave him the option to dance or he can take plan B. Race opts for the latter, and out comes Abel Davenport, who discovered his freedom after losing the opening contest tonight. Lawler tells Davenport that he can do whatever he wants to Race; he tells the audience he wants to prove he can beat Harley Race. Race agrees to the match on the condition that if he wins, he gets a match with Lawler for the Crown. The Davenport/Race match is now official for the Maple Leaf Gardens on October 24th The Rise of the Canadian StrongmanJimmy Hart is with Dino Bravo, getting him pumped up for his match with his former partner. They talk about how Greg Valentine was the weak link in the team and he is already searching for a replacement, but this time, it won’t be the tag titles they’re going after. Dino Bravo pinned Greg Valentine with the Side Suplex in 0:07:12. Rating: * 3/4Valentine was no match for the strength that Dino possesses, and he couldn’t maintain control for the majority of the match. Valentine went for the Figure-Four, knowing it might be his only chance, but Jimmy Hart got up on the apron and distracted referee Stoney Cross. Valentine released the hold and went to get Hart, but this distraction was enough for Bravo to sneak up and hit the Side Suplex for the victory. The Peacemakers (Tim Woods and Ivan Koloff) defeated The Living Legends (Billy Graham and Larry Zbyszko) when I. Koloff pinned B. Graham after the The Peace Sign in 0:13:08. Rating: *** ¼Things don’t seem to be getting any better for the Living Legends. Tonight, Woods and Koloff really showed the audience why they might be the best team in ACES. The Peacemakers won the match with their patented maneuver, the Peace Sign. Heenan’s Last Stand? In the locker room, Mack McAlister is with Heenan and Andre. Mack asks them what happens if Andre doesn’t win tonight? Heenan responded back by saying there isn’t any way Dusty could beat Andre, and tonight the American Dream turns into the American Nightmare. Andre the Giant pinned Dusty Rhodes with the Elbowdrop in 0:14:10. Rating: * 1/2Heenan jumped for joy when Andre dropped that huge elbow on Andre for the three count. He jumped right into Andre’s arms because in Toronto, next month, Andre gets his first shot at the ACES World Heavyweight Championship, and it looks like dark days ahead for The American Dream. For the ACES World Tag Team Championship:The Blackjacks (Blackjack Lanza and Blackjack Mulligan) defeated Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas when Lanza made Atlas submit to the Blackjack Claw in 0:12:12. Rating: ** 1/4 (The Blackjacks retained the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)Tonight, the Blackjacks put another notch in their belt, when Mulligan made Atlas submit to the Blackjack Claw, and that makes it 9 months that the Blackjacks have held the ACES World Tag Team Championship. Rocky and Atlas weren’t too pleased with the way things turned out but they didn’t let it get them down and decided they were going to go out dancing and get a couple of chicks. The End of the Road?Mack McAlister interviewed Billy Robinson, who told him that we all have different paths in life, but his path has lead him here to what might be his final match, and he says if he is going down, he is going down swinging. [TITLE Vs CAREER] For the ACES Jackpot Championship Ric Flair pinned Billy Robinson with the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:23:10. Rating: **** 1/4 (Ric Flair retained the ACES Jackpot Championship.)With that, the career of Billy Robinson in ACES is over. There was no dirty finish here. No tricks or misdirection. Just some good old fashioned wrestling. Flair took Robinson to the limit, and you’d have to wonder if that was the plan; Flair using his youth and energy to take Robinson to the limit. Eventually, Robinson found himself in the Figure Four and he struggled. He almost reached the ropes, but Flair pulled Robinson back. Robinson withstood it for almost 4 minutes before giving in. As both men climbed to their feet, they looked at each other, and Flair offered his hand to him. Robinson shook it and raised Flair’s hand to end the show. The next ACES show crosses the border for the first time as we head to the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Canada and this is what the card looks like so far:
October 24, 1975 Toronto, ON, CA Maple Leaf Gardens
1. Dusty Rhodes © Vs Andre The Giant (ACES World Heavyweight Championship) 2. The Blackjacks © Vs The Icemen (ACES World Tag Team Championship) 3. Ric Flair © Vs Billy Graham (ACES Jackpot Championship) 4. Ray Stevens/Jerry Brisco Vs Jack Brisco/Ivan Putski 5. Abel Davenport Vs Harley Race 6. Larry Zbyszko Vs Bruno Sammartino 7. The Good Ol’ Boys Vs The Valiant Brothers 8. Kamala Vs Bill Eadie 9. Stan Hansen Vs Luke Graham

ACES News October 17, 1975 The Board of Directors have seen fit to sever its relationship with Killer Kowalski, and a number of other lesser-known talent (some would call them jobbers). Gorilla Monsoon has had to retire from the ring, not citing his reason, but ACES is offering Monsoon a position with the ACES staff. Due to his loss last month, Billy Robinson is no longer a member of the ACES roster. There is news about ACES' television deal coming next week at the show.

October 24, 1975 Toronto, Ontario, Canada Maple Leaf Gardens Kamala pinned Bill Eadie with the Air Africa in 0:06:14. Rating: *The Ugandan Giant picks up a victory over Harley Race’s former bodyguard, while you could tell that Eadie didn’t exact his heart in this match since Race’s removal as King. Kim Chee still treated Kamala as if he was a pet even though Kamala got the victory. What is Bill Eadie going to do? Can anyone stick up for Kamala? The Good Ol' Boys (Hillbilly Jim and Bobby Duncum) defeated The Valiant Brothers (Jimmy Valiant and Johnny Valiant) when Duncum pinned Jimmy Valiant after the Deep South Driver in 0:13:22. Rating: 1/4*Jim and Duncum pick up a victory that will certainly propel them up in the ranks of the ACES Tag Division. Duncum pinned Johnny to end the match. An Interview with Andre & BobbyBackstage, Mack McAllister interviews Andre The Giant and Bobby Heenan. Heenan guarantees that Andre is walking out tonight as World Heavyweight Champion because if he can beat The American Dream once, a second victory is a walk in the park. Stan Hansen pinned Luke Graham with the Lariat in 0:06:29. Rating: ** ½Stan Hansen runs through Luke Graham, and the Lariat takes another victim. Out of nowhere, Ernie Ladd came to the ring and started brawling with Hansen. Ladd nailed Hansen with a lariat of his own that takes Hansen out of the ring. Ladd wants a rematch with Hansen, and the first person to make their opponent bleed is the winner. Ladd promises he will draw first blood. That’s a great name for the match. A “First Blood” Match.Jack Brisco and Ivan Putski defeated Ray Stevens and Jerry Brisco when I. Putski pinned Jerry Brisco after a flying axhandle in 0:08:14. Rating: **While Jack didn’t get his hands on his brother Jack, he still got one over on his brother teaming with Ivan Putski. Jack demands a match with Jerry next month on November 26, when ACES returns to Madison Square Garden in New York City, and Putski will face Stevens on the same event, what ACES is calling “Melee on 34th Street” Abel Davenport pinned Harley Race via pinfall in 0:06:07. Rating: * ½Thanks to some motivation by Jerry Lawler, and a small distraction, Abel Davenport defeats the man who placed him into servitude. Race had brought something into the ring, and Lawler saw it, so Lawler gets up on the apron on distracts the referee, getting into it with Race who ends up tossing the illegal object, which lands in the hands of Davenport. Davenport looked to the crowd and the crowd popped big time, and after Race turns around (and referee Willie Webber is still distracted by Lawler), Race gets nailed and the crowd urges Davenport, who covers Race for the 3. He and Lawler left to a great and loud ovation. The AnnouncementHunter A. Smith, CEO of ACES, is backstage with Mack McAllister and informs the crowd that the television deal that was in place months ago has fallen through. ACES will still produce 1 event a month, but we have reached an agreement with cable television station HBO to produce 4 “super shows” during the year. HBO has guaranteed a weekly timeslot starting in 1977 for early Saturday evenings. The first super show is scheduled for March 17, 1976, and is said to have a St. Patrick’s Day theme. Bruno Sammartino defeated Larry Zbyszko when Larry Zbyszko passed out in the Sammartino Backbreaker in 0:12:53. Rating: *** ¼Wow. Anytime Zbyszko and Bruno go one on one, it’s always bound to be a good match and tonight was no exception. The end came when Larry attempted the Crunch Time, Bruno countered, and then Zbyszko found himself in the Sammartino Backbreaker. The leader of the Living Legends could not do anything except give up and get out. Backstage, Bobby Heenan was not happy. He told Zbyszko that he’d better shape up or ship out. Larry told Heenan to never make a threat he can’t back up. Heenan backed off, but Andre was watching the whole thing. The Icemen (Pedro Morales and Don Muraco) and The Blackjacks (Blackjack Lanza and Blackjack Mulligan) battled to a draw in 0:25:00. Rating: 1/2* (The Blackjacks retained the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)If any team had given The Blackjacks a run for the money, it was Morales & Muraco. If there 3, maybe 5 more seconds, the Icemen could have been the tag team champions, but 25 minutes wasn’t enough for those belts to change hands, and the reign of the Blackjacks continues, making it 10 months as tag team champions. Next month, these two teams will meet one more time with NO TIME LIMIT. Bobby Heenan was relieved that they still had the belts, and the other belts are within their reach. Bobby Heenan seeks out Ric FlairBobby Heenan knocks on the dressing room door of Jackpot Champion Ric Flair, and asks if they could speak privately. Flair let Heenan in, and that is all we see. Ric Flair made Billy Graham submit to the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:12:22. Rating: ** 1/2 (Ric Flair retained the ACES Jackpot Championship.)If Heenan could be more upset, he’d be emitting steam from his ears. He berated Graham, and Graham just stood there and took it until Ric Flair nailed him from behind with the Jackpot Championship belt. Heenan officially announced that Billy Graham was out of the Living Legends, and Ric Flair was taking his spot. Flair laid into Graham, until Luke Graham made the save. Billy stood up and asked for forgiveness from his brother. Luke just stared at him, and then left the ring. Dusty Rhodes pinned Andre the Giant with the Bionic Elbowdrop in 0:20:46. Rating: * 3/4 (Dusty Rhodes retained the ACES World Heavyweight Championship.)Rhodes has chopped Andre down to size, and it took him a very long time to do it, and it took a number of Bionic Elbows, and a Bionic Elbowdrop from the top turnbuckle; something we very rarely see Rhodes do. As soon as Andre collapsed like a tree in the woods, Rhodes jumped on top and scored the three count, and crushes Heenan’s dream of bringing back the World Heavyweight Championship to the Living Legends was crushed, but what happens now? Tonight was a heck of a night, but next month, on Thanksgiving Eve, ACES presents “Melee on 34th Street” and a great night of action is guaranteed.
“Melee On 34th Street” November 26, 1975 Madison Square Garden New York City, NY
1. Dusty Rhodes/Billy Graham/Bruno Sammartino Vs Ric Flair/Larry Zbyszko/Dino Bravo 2. Jerry Brisco Vs Jack Brisco 3. Ernie Ladd Vs Stan Hansen (First Blood Match) 4. Ray Stevens Vs Ivan Putski 5. The Blackjacks © Vs The Icemen (ACES World Tag Team Championship – No Time Limit) 6. Jerry Lawler/Abel Davenport Vs Harley Race/Harley Race’s new protection 7. 20 Man Miracle Melee Battle Royal 8. Carlos Colon Vs Pez Whatley 9. The return of Spiros Arion Vs George Steele

ACES Presents: “Melee On 34th Street” November 26, 1975 Madison Square Garden New York City, NY
A friendly truce?Bobby Heenan is in the locker room with Mick McAllister, and Jimmy Hart, who has agreed to lend Dino Bravo to him for the evening and tonight’s 6-man tag main event. Spiros Arion pinned George Steele with the Atomic Drop in 0:04:06. Rating: 1/2*Arion returned to the ring tonight, and showed no signs of ring rust against the somewhat special Steele. Spiros states after the match that he is changing his name to “Orion Labrakis” and that he will show ACES why he is “The Golden Greek” of professional wrestling. Carlos Colon made Pez Whatley submit to the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:03:09. Rating: ** 3/4Colon, who we haven’t seen in a while, returned also as he picks up a victory over the “Pistol” Pez Whatley. Colon promises to get back to the top of ACES where he knows he can be World Champion again. Race’s New ProtectorNow that he is done playing court jester for Jerry Lawler, Harley Race went out and found a new bodyguard, BIG JOHN STUDD Harley Race and Big John Studd defeated Jerry Lawler and Abel Davenport by disqualification in 0:09:37. Rating: ** 1/2 [Bill Eadie interfered against Harley Race]
Bill Eadie decided he wanted his revenge against Race, and decided to take it during this match., giving the match to Race and Studd. Lawler and Davenport were angry at Eadie, but then Race issued a 6-Man Tag where whomever scores the pin fall will get the crown. Lawler, Davenport and Eadie will make up one team, but Race will not reveal the third person on his team. A very interesting match is made when ACES returns to the Atlantic City Convention Hall to end the first year of business. Melee Miracle Battle Royal RulesACES CEO Hunter A. Smith tells the crowd that a special 20-Man Miracle Melee Battle Royal will take place at the end of the night, but it is not an ordinary battle royal. There will be not 1, not 2, but 5 winners, and the prizes are shots at each of the ACES titles: • The winner will face the ACES World Heavyweight Champion • The second runner up will face the Jackpot Champion • The third runner up will face the King Of The Ring Crown • The 4th and 5th runners up will team up and take on the Tag Team Championship 20-Man Melee Miracle Battle RoyalDick Murdoch won the Melee Miracle Battle Royal. This means Murdoch is going to challenge his former partner in Atlantic City for the World Heavyweight Championship. HILLBILLY JIM will challenge the Jackpot Championship. BILL EADIE will challenge for the King Of The Ring Crown. TIM WOODS, who is no stranger to a tag team match, will team with BOBO BRAZIL to face the ACES World Tag Team Championship. There was a big surprise as this battle royal was the debut of KEVIN VON ERICH. Could there be others coming to ACES? First Blood Match:Stan Hansen and Ernie Ladd battled to a no contest in 0:16:19. Rating: * This was a violent contest, and both men took each other to the max. Unfortunately referee Stoney Cross took a bump, which allowed both men to bust each other open. When the referee came to, he saw both men with blood on their face. Cross had no choice but to declare a no-.contest Ray Stevens made Ivan Putski submit to the Chicken-Wing in 0:07:09. Rating: ** ¼Stevens was his crazy usual self and Putski didn’t really stand a chance. Putski tried an aggressive offense but Stevens was cunning and careful, and knew Putski’s moves before he made them. Stevens then put the Chicken-Wing on and almost didn’t let go, but let go after the match ended. The Icemen (Pedro Morales and Don Muraco) defeated The Blackjacks (Blackjack Lanza and Blackjack Mulligan) when Muraco defeated Lanza by disqualification in 0:21:13. Rating: * (The Blackjacks retained the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)The Blackjacks finally lose, but they don’t lose the titles Muraco and Morales were working very well as a team, It looked like they were going for the Icebreaker, but Lanza nailed Muraco with the title belt before it could happen, resulting in the disqualification. Jerry Brisco defeated Jack Brisco by disqualification in 0:12:25. Rating: * ¼The match started off like a casual match, but Jack Brisco was determined to teach his brother a lesson. He pummeled him continuously until Jerry fought back and he nailed Jack with some moves. Jerry then lost his advantage, and Jack’s rage took over. Having Jerry in the corner, he kept on attacking long past the five count resulting in disqualification. Jack kept on attacking, eventually getting pulled off and separated. This is not the last time these two brothers will face off. Ric Flair, Larry Zbyszko and Dino Bravo defeated Dusty Rhodes, Billy Graham and Bruno Sammartino when R. Flair defeated B. Sammartino when B. Sammartino passed out in the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:16:01. Rating: ** 1/4With this victory, it is Ric Flair, the Jackpot Champion will face the World Champion next month. Bobby Heenan has guaranteed that Flair will be walking out with two champions and the Living Legends will rise even higher going into 1976. Larry Zbyszko looked a bit hurt by that comment. As 1975 comes to a close, ACES returns to the top of the deck and comes back to Atlantic City and a huge night of action is planned:
ACES @ Atlantic City Atlantic City Convention Hall December 27, 1975
1. Dusty Rhodes © Vs Ric Flair © (Champion Vs Champion – ACES World Heavyweight Championship) 2. December 27, 1975 Atlantic City, NJ Atlantic City Convention Hall The Blackjacks (Blackjack Lanza and Blackjack Mulligan) defeated Tim Woods and Bobo Brazil when Lanza made Brazil submit to the Blackjack Claw in 0:22:36. Rating: ** (The Blackjacks retained the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)Ivan Koloff made his presence known, making it seem was jealous that Woods was teaming up with another partner. Woods kept trying to tell Koloff it was one a time deal, but it was Koloff who provided the distraction long enough for Lanza to take advantage of Brazil and make him submit to the Blackjack Claw. The Blackjacks’ reign continues, but will the Icemen put an end to the almost 1-yeaar reign of the team. Meanwhile, Woods, Brazil, and Koloff are arguing. Brazil grabs a microphone and tells Woods and Koloff that he is retiring from the ring as an active wrestler, and he wants to go into managing, and he’s asking Woods & Koloff to let them be his manager. Woods agrees, and Koloff, after some slight convincing, smiles, and shakes Brazil’s hand. The three raise their hands in the ring in triumph, even though they lost tonight. Kevin Von Erich made Kintaro Ohki submit to the Claw in 0:05:39. Rating: ****After debuting in the Melee Miracle, he makes his singles debut here tonight, and Kevin Von Erich, coming from one of the most famous wrestling families in the world, makes short work of Kintaro Ohki, making him submit to the famous Claw. Kevin Von Erich could go very far in ACES. He certainly has a bright future. Dino Bravo pinned Bruno Sammartino with the Side Suplex in 0:00:44. Rating: *What a cheap victory for Bravo. Jimmy Hart wouldn’t get off the apron, so Bravo whips Bruno into Hart, and Sammartino’s head hits the megaphone during the collision, and Bravo nails Bruno with the Side Suplex into a pinning combination for the quick victory. Nobody has ever got the best Bruno that way before. Bravo takes the low road out with Jimmy Hart, while Bruno gets up and is furious. We’ve never seen Bruno this angry before, and he wants a rematch with Bravo in the next year. Jimmy Snuka pinned Kamala after a flying headbutt in 0:02:25. Rating: * ½Snuka picks up a big victory over the Ugandan Giant, and Kim Chee is furious. He berates and whips Kamala with a stick, and Snuka tells Kamala to stick up for himself, and he pushes Kim Chee back. Snuka pats Kamala on the back and leaves. Race’s Mystery PartnerBackstage, Mack McAlister is with Harley Race and Big John Studd. Race tells the audience that he found a truly wonderful partner, and reveals that their partner is “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff.Jerry Lawler, Abel Davenport and Bill Eadie defeated Harley Race, Big John Studd and Paul Orndorff when Lawler defeated Orndorff when Orndorff passed out in the LawLock in 0:14:06. Rating: * 1/2Even with the technical expertise of Paul Orndorff on their side, Race could not retake the King of the Ring Crow. It came down to Orndorff and Lawler, and Lawler managed to put Orndorff in the LawLock and Orndorff submitted, resulting in Lawler retaining the Crown. However, Eadie told Lawler that next month, to kick off the new year, he’s going to get the title shot he earned next month when ACES heads into Princeton, New Jersey in the Jadwin Gymnasium. Larry Zbyszko defeated Billy Graham via submission in 0:11:20. Rating: *** 1/2Zbyszko scores one for the Living Legends, as Zbyszko trapped Graham in an Indian death lock that Graham could not get out of, so Graham had no other option than to submit. After the match, Zbyszko made it clear that he is going to get the ACES World Heavyweight Championship, and Bobby Heenan told him that he is on standby. Zbyszko did not like hearing that. The newest members of the ACES Roster!Backstage, Mack McAlister is with Ricky Morton & Robert Gibosn, two new members of the ACES roster, better known as “The Rock N Roll Express.” Both Morton and Gibson say that it is great to be here. At that moment, 2 other new members walk by, Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin, better known as “The Fabulous Freebirds” and they confront Morton and Gibson about not being cool enough. Morton tells them they’ll settle it in the ring right now. The Freebirds agree. Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) defeated The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin) when R. Gibson defeated M. Hayes when M. Hayes passed out in the Gibson Leglock in 0:20:27. Rating: * ¾It looks like The Freebirds had their feet stuffed into their mouths when Gibson made Hayes submit to the Gibson Leglock, but the Freebirds attacked Gibson and Morton when they attempted to shake hands. The Freebirds were the ones standing in the end, and issued a challenge to the Rock N Roll Express for a rematch next month in Princeton. [Street Fight] Jack Brisco pinned Jerry Brisco with the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:19:53. Rating: *** ½They say that when a family fights, it is more vicious than a fight between two strangers, and this street fight proved that blood is thicker than water. Chairs, the guardrail, the ring steps, and the ground underneath the mats were used. Jack focused on working the leg, and then made sure Jerry wouldn’t get up by using the Figure-Four with a chair accompanying it, making Jerry submit almost instantly. The Icemen (Pedro Morales and Don Muraco) defeated The Blackjacks (Blackjack Lanza and Blackjack Mulligan) when Morales pinned Lanza after the The Icebreaker in 0:12:23. Rating: * ½We thought we had new tag team champions, until Bobby Heenan pointed out a clause in the contract for tonight’s event; since the champions had already defended the belts at the beginning of the show, they were not required to defend the belts again for another 30 days. Leave it to Bobby Heenan to actually read a contract clause. ACES CEO Hunter A. Smith was in the building and decided that the contract was solid, but next month, the first ACES event of 1976, the Icemen will face The Blackjacks for the ACES World Tag Team Championship with Bobby Heenan banned from ringside. The crowd loved that idea, but The Brain didn’t. Dusty Rhodes pinned Ric Flair with the Bionic Elbowdrop in 0:23:04. Ric Flair suffered a neck injury. He will be out for approximately 3 months. Rating: *** 1/2 (Dusty Rhodes retained the ACES World Heavyweight Championship.)Bobby Heenan could not be more furious. Ric Flair, the ACES Jackpot Champion, could not bring home the World Heavyweight Championship, and he suffers a neck injury that results in him missing 3 months and forfeiting the Jackpot Championship. Dusty Rhodes celebrated, but also helped RIc Flair onto the stretcher. Dusty promised Flair a championship match when he comes back.. ACES’ first year comes to a close and the end of the year awards will be announced shortly, but next month’s event is live from Princeton, New Jersey:
ACES @ Princeton January 17, 1976 Princeton, New Jersey Jadwin Gymnasium
1. Dusty Rhodes © Vs Dick Murdoch (ACES World Heavyweight Championship) 2. Hillbilly Jim Vs Battle Royal Winner (ACES Jackpot Championship) 3. The Blackjacks © Vs The Icemen (ACES World Tag Team Championshp – 2/3 Falls - Bobby Heenan is BANNED from ringside!) 4. Bill Eadie Vs Jerry Lawler © (ACES King of the Ring Crown) 5. The Rock N Roll Express Vs The Fabulous Freebirds 6. Paul Orndorff Vs Dominic DeNucci 7. The Peackmakers Vs The Soul Patrol 8. Jack Brisco Vs Hiro Matsuda 9. Luke Graham Vs Larry Zbyszko 10. 15-Man Jackpot Battle Royal (Winner faces Hillbilly Jim later in the night for the now vacant ACES Jackpot Championship)

January 17, 1976 Princeton, NJ Jadwin Gymnasium [15-Man Battle Royal] Kevin Von Erich won the 15-Man Battle Royal and will face Hillbilly Jim later in the evening for the ACES Jackpot Championship. It came down to Von Erich and Jerry Brisco, but Von Erich’s speed and skill overcame Brisco’s age. Luke Graham pinned Larry Zbyszko after a kneelift in 0:06:07. Rating: *** ½Billy Graham made his presence known during the match, and it seemed as if he was trying to make amends with his brother by helping him defeat the former World Champion. Luke didn’t seem like he wanted to return the favor, as he didn’t exchange a single glance with his brother. Billy then told Mack McAlister that he got him and Luke a shot at the ACES World Tag Team Championship next month when ACES makes it way back to the Philadelphia Spectrum on February 15. Paul Orndorff pinned Dominic DeNucci with the Piledriver in 0:04:13. Rating: **In his singles debut, Orndorff looked like a million dollars, taking care of DeNucci in less than five minutes. Is Orndorff going to rise to the top quickly or is it going to take him a bit of time? All we know now is that ACES just got a bit more wonderful. Jack Brisco defeated Hiro Matsuda via pinfall in 0:08:19. Rating: **Brisco, in his new foray into singles competition, knocks off international talent Hiro Matsuda. Now that Jerry was no longer a problem to him, what was next on the block for Jack Brisco? Time was certainly running out for him as well. The Peacemakers (Tim Woods and Ivan Koloff) defeated Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas when T. Woods pinned R. Johnson after the The Peace Sign in 0:15:08. Rating: ** ¾With Bobo Brazil at their side, the Peacemakers showed new life as a team, showing great fundamentals, and solid credibility as a team. The Soul Patrol also was showing great signs of what made them a great tag team as well. All four men shook hands afterwards. Rumors are stirring that the Peacemakers are in line for a shot in two months time. Jerry Lawler pinned Bill Eadie with the Piledriver in 0:17:40. Rating: ** 3/4 (Jerry Lawler retained the ACES King Of The Ring Title.)
Eadie, who had earned a shot at the King of the Ring Crown back at the Melee Miracle Battle Royal, came up short as Lawler, as spunky a champion as always, was determined not to let Eadie take the crown. Lawler hit the Piledriver to put an end to the match, but cut a promo afterwards claiming that even if he loses the King of the Ring title, he’ll always be the true king of professional wrestling, and that he is going to aim for something a bit higher on the ladder. Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) defeated The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin) when R. Gibson pinned J. Garvin after the The Double Drop kick in 0:18:53. Rating: * ¾For the second month in a row, the Freebirds seem to be on the worst turn of bad luck in wrestling history. Morton and Gibson knew what it took as a team to get the job done while Hayes and Garvin were more concerned with picking up women. When Hayes was busy picking up a blonde woman in the front row, Garvin looked for the tag, only to find nothing, and then get the Double Dropkick from Morton and Gibson for the victory. Garvin was mad, but not when Hayes told him that the blonde woman had a very good looking brunette friend. That certainly perked him up. Dusty Rhodes pinned Dick Murdoch with the Bionic Elbowdrop in 0:17:01. Rating: ** 3/4 (Dusty Rhodes retained the ACES World Heavyweight Championship.)
Two former tag team partners, now opponents for the time being. Murdoch won the Melee Miracle Battle Royal to get this title shot, and Murdoch came within inches of winning the title. However, the resilience of the American Dream was too much for the former Outlaw, and Rhodes nails Murdoch with the Bionic Elbowdrop for the victory. Murdoch offered a handshake to Rhodes, who shook it with vigor. For the vacant ACES Jackpot Championship: Hillbilly Jim pinned Kevin Von Erich with the Big Boot in 0:19:38. Rating: * 3/4 (Hillbilly Jim won the ACES Jackpot Championship.) Destiny seemed like it was on the shoulders of Kevin Von Erich, who won the Battle Royal earlier in the show, which was only his second match with the company. Hillbilly Jim won the Melee Miracle Battle Royal last month, and the champion at the time, Ric Flair, suffered an injury resulting in the match for the vacant title tonight. The Country Boy proved tonight that he could go one on one and he didn’t need to be relegated to tag team matches. Von Erich gave it all he could, but Hillbilly’s Big Boot put Von Erich down for the three and Hillbilly has his first singles championship. After the match, Jim offered Kevin a handshake and an offer for a rematch any time he wants it. Von Erich said he might just take him up on that. The ACES’ Super Show –March 17, 1976 AnnouncementIn precisely two months time, ACES will produce one of their 4 super shows. On March 17, 1976, ACES rolls into Uniondale, NY for a one night 8-man tournament entitled “THE CLOVER CUP.” To promote the show, ACES will be doing 2 shows Valentine’s Day weekend (February 14th and 15th) which will each have 4 qualifying matches for the tournament; each participant has been approved by the Board of Directors. To make this announcement even better, the Board has named the number one contender for the ACES World Heavyweight Championship that night and it is none other than JERRY LAWLER. This did not sit well with Heenan as he was counting on someone from the Living Legends getting a title shot. Two-out-of-three-Falls Match: The Blackjacks (Blackjack Lanza and Blackjack Mulligan) beat The Icemen (Pedro Morales and Don Muraco) 2 falls to 1: x Morales beat Lanza via a figure-four leglock in 0:28:33 x Mulligan beat Morales via the Blackjack Claw in 0:37:28 x Lanza beat Morales via a sleeperhold in 0:45:08 Rating: * 3/4 (The Blackjacks retained the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)Wow. The reign of The Blackjacks continues, as it has now been more than a year (370 days to be exact). When Morales scored the first fall, everyone felt that this was going to be the night the Blackjacks lose those titles, but it didn’t happen as Lanza and Mulligan prove once again why they are worthy of holding those belts. As ACES prepares for a very important super show in March, they are going to a special 2-day event on Valentine’s Day weekend and here is what the cards look like so far:
ACES @ The Spectrum – Day 1 February 14, 1976 Philadelphia, PA The Philadelphia Spectrum
1. Dusty Rhodes/Jerry Lawler Vs Dino Bravo/Big John Studd 2. The Graham Brothers Vs The Blackjacks © (ACES World Tag Team Championship) 3. Paul Orndorff Vs Jimmy Snuka 4. Ray Stevens Vs Victor Rivera 5. Orion Labrakis Vs Abel Davenport More to be announced….
ACES @ The Spectrum – Day 2 February 15, 1976 Philadelphia, PA The Philadelphia Spectrum
1. Dusty Rhodes/Jerry Lawler Vs The Blackjacks (ACES World Tag Team Championship) 2. Hillbilly Jim © Vs David Von Erich (ACES Jackpot Championship) 3. Sgt. Slaughter Vs Ivan Putski 4. Kamala/George Steele Vs The Fabulous Freebirds 5. Stan Hansen Vs Jack Brisco More to be announced…

ACES @ THE SPECTRUM 2 February 14, 1976 Philadelphia, PA The Philadelphia Spectrum Day # 1 Robert Gibson defeated Michael Hayes when Michael Hayes passed out in the Gibson Leglock in 0:07:53. Rating: *** ¼Gibson scores a third victory for the Rock N Roll Express against Michael Hayes, who seemed to be preoccupied with girls rather than climbing the ranks, winning championships, and taking home the winner’s purse. The Oriental Agressors (Kintaro Ohki and Hiro Matsuda) defeated Kamala and George Steele when Ohki pinned Kamala with the Kintaro Bomb in 0:08:27. Rating: ** ¾The crowd was stunned by the odd pairing of Kamala and George Steele, but their naivety was their undoing as the Agressors took advantage. Even more impressive, was Kintaro showcasing his strength for the Kintaro Bomb that put Kamala away. I wouldn’t count out this Japanese team just yet. Meanwhile, Kamala and Steele must prepare for The Freebirds tomorrow night on Day 2 of this event. Orion Labrakis and Abel Davenport battled to a double countout in 0:07:09 Rating: ** 1/4 The Golden God and the former servant just could not seem to keep the action inside the ring, resulting in the double count out. This doesn’t appear to be the end for these two. Jerry Brisco defeated Porkchop Cash by countout in 0:07:19. Rating: * ½Brisco’s cheating heart shone through the match as he made sure Porkchop wasn’t ever able to get into the ring after sending him to the outside. Porkchop looked like he was injured but walked out on his own accord. [Clover Cup Qualifier] Ray Stevens pinned Victor Rivera after a piledriver in 0:00:39. Rating: *Ray Stevens, the self-proclaimed Madman of ACES, earns a spot in the Clover Cup in less than 40 seconds. If Stevens keeps up, this might lead to him winning the Clover Cup. The Blackjacks (Blackjack Lanza and Blackjack Mulligan) defeated Luke Graham and Billy Graham when Mulligan defeated L. Graham by countout in 0:22:12. Rating: * 1/4 (The Blackjacks retained the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)This time, it was Luke who decided to walk out on Billy, still not trusting him to the point where they can capture gold together. Luke challenges Billy to one more match; a Street Fight next month at the Clover Cup. He’s also picking an opponent for Billy for tomorrow night. Somehow, it gets overlooked that the Blackjacks have held the belts for 12 ½ months, unless they lose them tomorrow night in the main event between them defending against Dusty Rhodes & Jerry Lawler. Bobby Heenan in his managing prowess has worked in a benefit clause for his team; if the Blackjacks win, they each get a shot at each man’s title. For those doing the math, it’s 4 title matches altogether. [Clover Cup Qualifier] Paul Orndorff pinned Jimmy Snuka with the Piledriver in 0:08:36. Rating: *Orndorff gets into the Clover Cup despite not having been with the company very long. Orndorff is going to the top very fast, but let’s hope he doesn’t crash and burn. Meanwhile, Snuka is in some sort of a slump that is affecting his ability to win; can he find something to bring back the Superfly of old? [Clover Cup Qualifier] Larry Zbyszko pinned Greg Valentine with the Crunch Time in 0:18:34. Rating: ** ¾Zbyszko was much more angry this time around, and it allowed him to beat Greg Valentine after a very well played-out match that could have gone either way. Odds are the words of Bobby Heenan are still lingering in his mind, and getting back to the top of the mountain is the only thin he has been thinking of. The Clover Cup just might be the way to earn that title match. The Clover Cup PrizeThe prize for the Clover Cup is a championship match at the July super-show. It is a guaranteed contract for a championship match; no way to lose it, and no way to use it before the July super show. Tony Atlas defeated Pedro Morales when Pedro Morales passed out in the Bearhug in 0:18:02. Rating: * ½Atlas and Johnson asked the Icemen for individual matches, and it seems that the idea was a smart move; divide and conquer. With that, Atlas picks up a huge victory over the former ACES Jackpot Champion. Tomorrow night, Rocky Johnson meets Don Muraco [Clover Cup Qualifier] Terry Funk defeated Bobby Duncum by countout in 0:08:51. Rating: * ½When the news was told to Terry Funk that Dory was fired from ACES, Terry let out a big holler, and was able to focus om winning matches by himself. Here, he injures Duncum to the point where he wins via Count Out. Without Dory, Terry seems to have a new fire burning beneath him. Could he win the Clover Cup? Anything is possible. Dino Bravo and Big John Studd defeated Dusty Rhodes and Jerry Lawler when Studd pinned Lawler with the Backbreaker in 0:16:06. Rating: * ¾Lawler and Rhodes just couldn’t seem to hold it together, and now Bravo and Studd are expecting a shot at the tag titles. Bravo & Studd will face The Peacemakers as we decide the remaining four qualifiers for the Clover Cup Qualifying. Here is what tomorrow’s event looks like so far:
ACES @ The Spectrum – Day 2 February 15, 1976 Philadelphia, PA The Philadelphia Spectrum
1. Dusty Rhodes/Jerry Lawler Vs The Blackjacks (ACES World Tag Team Championship) 2. Hillbilly Jim © Vs David Von Erich (ACES Jackpot Championship) 3. Sgt. Slaughter Vs Ivan Putski (Clover Cup Qualifier) 4. Kamala/George Steele Vs The Fabulous Freebirds 5. Stan Hansen Vs Jack Brisco (Clover Cup Qualifier) 6. The Rock N Roll Express Vs The Peacemakers 7. Rocky Johnson Vs Don Muraco 8. Carlos Colon Vs Dino Bravo (Clover Cup Qualifier) 9. Andre The Giant Vs Big John Studd (Clover Cup Qualifier) 10. Billy Graham Vs

ACES @ THE SPECTRUM 2 February 15, 1976 Philadelphia, PA The Philadelphia Spectrum Day # 2
Andre the Giant pinned Big John Studd with the Elbowdrop in 0:12:32. Rating: 3/4*What a way to start the second day on the way to the Clover Cup super show in Uniondale. Two of the biggest men in wrestling go at it, but Andre proves his experience and girth are always a key factor when it comes down to it. Bobby Heenan could not be more happy, as long as Zbyszko and Andre don’t cross paths. The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin) defeated Kamala and George Steele when M. Hayes defeated Kamala via pinfall in 0:03:39. Rating: 1/4*The Freebirds easily put away the team of Kamala and Steele, and told the Blackjacks (via camera) that their party at the top is almost over and it is about time for a new one to begin.. Sgt. Slaughter defeated Ivan Putski when Ivan Putski passed out in the Cobra Clutch in 0:03:38. Rating: ***Sgt. Slaughter becomes the next participant to qualify for the Clover Cup, and him being fairly new to ACES might be an advantage or disadvantage. We’ll have to see on St. Patrick’s Day. A Champion’s InterviewMack McAlister is backstage with World Champion and King of the Ring, Dusty Rhodes and Jerry Lawler respectively. They talk about last night’s loss and say that it is water under the bridge because tonight they are focused on winning the ACES World Tag Team Champions. Dusty mentions it’s a great thing to have Texas and Tennessee here together. It’s Southern Fusion, and it doesn’t get any better than this. Rocky Johnson pinned Don Muraco with the Johnson Shuffle in 0:08:06. Rating: *With that, the Soul Patrol has beaten the two individual Icemen, and now the next stop is a tag team match between the two teams to determine who’ll get to challenge the tag team champions.. Billy Graham made Pepper Gomez submit to the Bearhug in 0:13:20. Rating: ** ¾Luke Graham picked Pepper Gomez to face his brother, but he made no difference as Billy took care of Pepper. Billy pleaded with Luke one last time, and Luke suggested one more match between the two of them; a FOUR CORNER STRAP MATCH. Luke said that if Billy wins, he’ll prove he is sincere. If he doesn’t, he’ll know his heart isn’t in it and it will be his execution. Dino Bravo pinned Carlos Colon with the Side Suplex in 0:12:41. Rating: ** ¾Bravo manages to sneak a victory over the wily Colon, who still can’t seem to catch a break. It was been a long time since Carlos got a major victory over any ACES superstar not named Pez Whatley. Hillbilly Jim defeated Kevin Von Erich by countout in 0:16:04. Rating: 1/2* (Hillbilly Jim retained the ACES Jackpot Championship.)In Jim’s first title defense, the Freebirds attack Kevin Von Erich and cause him the loss, but why? What do the Freebirds have against Kevin Von Erich, or for that matter, what do they have against the Von Erich family? Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) defeated The Peacemakers (Tim Woods and Ivan Koloff) when R. Gibson pinned T. Woods after the The Double Drop kick in 0:19:10. Rating: *** ¾With this victory, the Rock N Roll Express will face the ACES Tag Team Champions at the Clover Cup, but the Peacemakers congratulate the Express, showing no hard feelings. It’s a good feeling to see wrestlers act like that after a mstch. Stan Hansen pinned Jack Brisco with the Lariat in 0:16:14. Rating: * ¾With this victory, Stan Hansen becomes the 8th entrant into the Clover Cup, and Hansen plans on taking it all the way to the Bicentennial Brawl on July 4th. The Blackjacks (Blackjack Lanza and Blackjack Mulligan) defeated Dusty Rhodes and Jerry Lawler when Lanza made Lawler submit to the Blackjack Claw in 0:27:07. Rating: *** 1/4 (The Blackjacks retained the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)The Blackjacks continue on their streak, which stands at around 13 months are so as they now prepare for a team they have never faced before, The Rock N Roll Express. The bigger story was that Rhodes and Lawler were not happy with one another. They seemed thankful they didn’t have to team with one another from now on, and lord only knows what is going to happen at the Clover Cup when these two collide for the ACES World Heavyweight Championship. • Harley Race has resigned from ACES effective immediately. • Pepper Gomez will not be receiving anything beyond compensation for his work this evening..The next event, THE CLOVER CUP, the super show from Nassau Coliseum is shaping up to look like something spectacular:
ACES Presents: The Clover Cup March 17, 1976 Uniondale, NY Nassau Coliseum

ACES Presents: The Clover Cup March 17, 1976 Uniondale, NY Nassau Coliseum [/b] The Clover Cup[/u] Rich Landrum and Bill Ward go over the rules of the Clover Cup tournament tonight. Each round has a time limit; the first has 20 minutes; the semi-final has 30 minutes, and the final match has 45 minutes. Andre the Giant pinned Ray Stevens with the Elbowdrop in 0:04:51. Rating: **The Giant’s size overcame Stevens’ crazed mindset without any problem what so ever, and Andre gets to go to the semi-finals. Sgt. Slaughter defeated Terry Funk by disqualification in 0:01:35. Rating: **Funk, barely new to singles matches, forgot about his five counts and this lent to a five count disqualification and Sgt. Slaughter has a meeting with Andre later Larry Zbyszko and Dino Bravo battled to a draw in 0:20:00. Rating: *Bobby Heenan got upset as usual because Larry couldn’t get the job done, and Heenan is always willing to make deals. Bobby told Larry he has one more chance before the Living Legends meet their living end. Stan Hansen pinned Paul Orndorff with the Lariat in 0:14:58. Rating: ***As of right now, Hansen is 1 for 1 in his predictions as his Lariat took him past Paul Orndorff, and into a second round bye, which means Stan Hansen meets the winner of Slaughter/Andre later tonight. Hillbilly Jim pinned Bobby Duncum after a powerslam in 0:15:26. Rating: * 1/4 (Hillbilly Jim retained the ACES Jackpot Championship.)Hillbilly Jim is a man of his word, and he promised his tag team partner a shot at the Jackpot Championship. It was truly a battle of the country boys, but Hillbilly Jim came out just a few seconds quicker and retained the Jackpot title. [Clover Cup - Semi Finals]: Andre the Giant pinned Sgt. Slaughter with the Elbowdrop in 0:07:03. Rating: * ¼Once again, Andre’s size was the advantage here, as Slaughter could not overcome the girth of the Eighth Wonder of the World. An elbowdrop, three seconds later, and Andre is going to the Clover Cup Finals Four Corner Strap Match: Billy Graham defeated Luke Graham in 0:19:08. Rating: *** ¾ Billy Graham couldn’t be happier than to have his brother have to hug him, and Luke didn’t want to do it. Luke went in for the hug, only for Ray Stevens to sneak up behind and put Billy in the Chicken-Wing and Luke joined in. It seems that these two are the new Crazy Town in ACES. Lord only knows what damage they’ve done to Billy Graham already (who had to be helped out by paramedics). [Clover Cup - Semi-Final]: Stan Hansen won via default. No explanation necessary here. Hansen moves to the finals due to the draw between Bravo & Zbyszko earlier in the evening.. Endurance Match The Icemen (Pedro Morales and Don Muraco) beat Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas 1 falls to 0: x Muraco beat Atlas via the Tombstone in 0:11:10 x time limit expired (R. Johnson and Morales) in 0:20:00 Rating: * ¾This added bonus match was a 20-Minute Endurance Match with the winners becoming the top contenders for the ACES World Tag Team Championship. The Icemen were the only ones to score a fall which made the entire difference after Muraco pinned Atlas. Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) defeated The Blackjacks (Blackjack Lanza and Blackjack Mulligan) when R. Morton pinned Mulligan with the Flying Dropkick in 0:13:53. Rating: *** ½ (Rock'n'Roll Express won the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)A team finally did it. After a reign of 14 months as ACES World Tag Team Champions, it was The Rock N Roll Express who dethroned them. When it looked like Mulligan was going to attack Gibson with the lariat, Morton (who was the legal man) climbed up to the top turnbuckle and nailed him with the Flying Dropkick for the victory and the titles. Bobby Heenan was absolutely furious [Clover Cup – Finals] Stan Hansen pinned Andre the Giant with the Lariat in 0:10:58. Rating: ** ½Stan Hansen goes to the super show on July 4th with a guaranteed championship match. He remains undefeated, and now has a title match coming his way in 4 months, and that title match is set in stone. Dusty Rhodes pinned Jerry Lawler with the Bionic Elbowdrop in 0:29:45. Rating: **** (Dusty Rhodes retained the ACES World Heavyweight Championship.)If you were not here for this match, you missed out on something great. Two men dedicated to their craft, and entertaining the fans while remembering that the prize is the World Heavyweight Championship, and if they wanted it, they needed to go through their opponent to do so. The ending occurred when Lawler actually nailed a Piledriver and got a three count but Lawler noticed Rhodes’ foot on the rope, and Lawler insisted the match continue and Rhodes be given a chance to get up, which was well-received by the crowd. The match continued, and Lawler again went for the Piledriver, but Rhodes actually kicked out, and wondered if he should have left it alone the first time. This was the time that Rhodes took advantage, and nailed Lawler with a few Bionic Elbowdrops for the victory. He helped Lawler up and told him that next month, he can have a rematch in Baltimore. Dusty then told him that there was a man waiting patiently for a rematch too, so he’s going to be ringside watching, and that man was none other than “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. The crowd loved the main event as well as the rest of the card, and now that the first “super show” of the year is done, we can look forward to 5 great shows to promote our next super show in July, “The Bicentennial Brawl” in Detroit, celebrating the country’s 200 year anniversary. The road to Detroit starts in Baltimore on April 24 at the Baltimore Civic Center, and the card looks like this:
ACES @ Baltimore April 24, 1976 Baltimore, MD Baltimore Civic Center
1. Dusty Rhodes © Vs Jerry Lawler (ACES World Heavyweight Championship – Steel Cage Match) 2. Hillbilly Jim © Vs Jerry Brisco (ACES Jackpot Championship) 3. The Rock N Roll Express © Vs The Icemen (ACES World Tag Team Championship) 4. The Freebirds Vs Kevin Von Erich/Bret Hart 5. Stan Hansen Vs Larry Zbyszko 6. Dino Bravo/Big John Studd/Paul Orndorff Vs Kamala/George Steele/Jimmy Snuka 7. Ivan Koloff Vs Terry Funk 8. Orion Labarakis Vs Abel Davenport 9. Ray Stevens/Luke Graham Vs Ivan Putski/Bill Eadie

ACES @ Baltimore April 24, 1976 Baltimore, MD Baltimore Civic Center
Ivan Koloff defeated Terry Funk by disqualification in 0:12:08. Rating: **
Terry Funk once again did not realize that the count was on, and before Funk ever realized it, Koloff was declared the victor and Funk was angry. Funk got so angry he nailed referee Jacob Jones with a bull rope. Security led Terry Funk out of the arena and into the back of a squad car. He might be facing charges.
Connecting through Crazy,,, Ray Stevens and Luke Graham are backstage with Mack McAlister, who asks Luke why he turned his brother away when he was trying to make amends. Luke responded by asking him if he was an only child. McAlister said he was. Luke told him that he will always live in Billy’s shadow, but not if he gets to the championship first. Luke says he has found a kindred crazy spirit in Ray Stevens, and together, ACES will be their own private personal playground for they are now known as “The Asylum”
Ray Stevens and Luke Graham defeated Ivan Putski and Bill Eadie when R. Stevens pinned I. Putski with the Bombs Away Kneedrop in 0:16:34. Rating: **
Stevens and Graham certainly knew how to work together as a team, while Putski and Eadie just seemed as if they were completely disjointed. Stevens issued a challenge to Billy Graham in two weeks in Landover, Maryland at the Capital Centre.
Orion Labrakis pinned Abel Davenport after a flying kneedrop in 0:12:19. Rating: *** ¼
The Golden Greek picks up another victory and insists he gets rubbed down by an audience member, which was completely disgusting.
Dino Bravo, Big John Studd and Paul Orndorff defeated Kamala, George Steele and Jimmy Snuka when Bravo defeated G. Steele when G. Steele passed out in an airplane spin in 0:08:18. Rating: * ¼
Bravo, Studd, and Orndorff come out on top as they take advantage of the not so smart team of Steele/Kamala/Snuka. Orndorff continues to look like a million bucks in the ring, as does Bravo.
Hillbilly Jim pinned Jerry Brisco with the Big Boot in 0:16:35. Rating: 3/4* (Hillbilly Jim retained the ACES Jackpot Championship.)
In his second defense, Hillbilly Jim proved why he made a great Jackpot champion. Jerry Brisco remains on the losing side of things, considering he decided to turn on his brother. Everyone is turning on his or her brothers’. What is ACES coming to? We’re going to need a good family therapist.
Kevin Von Erich and Bret Hart defeated The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin) when Kevin Von Erich made M. Hayes submit to the Claw in 0:10:29. Rating: **
Kevin Von Erich made a very odd choice for a tag team partner in Bret Hart, but they seemed to work great together; they’re calling themselves “The Cowboys of the Border.” The Freebirds continue their losing streak. Michael Hayes challenged Kevin Von Erich to a singles match in two weeks in Landover.
Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) defeated The Icemen (Pedro Morales and Don Muraco) when R. Gibson made Muraco submit to the Gibson Leglock in 0:14:50. Rating: *** (Rock'n'Roll Express retained the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)
The first defense against two of the best wrestlers in ACES today is quite the success for the newly crowned champions. At the end, the Blackjacks attacked both teams, claiming that the belts were still theirs and that they never lost them. We get word that the Board of Directors is going to make some sort of announcement/decision at the next show in 2 weeks in Landover, and rumor has it, it has something to do with these three teams.
Stan Hansen pinned Larry Zbyszko with the Lariat in 0:17:43. Rating: *** ½
Hansen continues the winning streak, and knocks off the top Living Legend, and Bobby Heenan could not be more furious. He started to lay into Zbyszko until he pushed back, and that’s when Heenan relented. Could this be the end of the Living Legends?
The Nature Boy Returns Ric Flair takes a set at ringside, eager to see who will come out on top in this cage match main event..
Steel Cage Match Dusty Rhodes pinned Jerry Lawler after a small package in 0:26:57. Rating: *** (Dusty Rhodes retained the ACES World Heavyweight Championship.)
Rhodes does it again in the cage. The first time, he won the title inside of a cage, and now he has defended it in what is arguably either the best or the worst cage match in the history of ACES. Lawler was still the ACES King of the Ring Champion so he didn’t leave upset, but Ric Flair took the ACES World Heavyweight Championship and was going to hand it to Rhodes, but Flair belted Rhodes with the title, busting Rhodes open. Flair told Rhodes that his execution is in 2 weeks, because his time “is over in “Landover.”
Wow. What a show! Ric Flair’s neck injury has healed up, and now the time has come for the rematch between Rhodes/Flair. There is supposed to be a huge announcement concerning the three teams involved in the hunt for the ACES World Tag Team Championship, but here is what the card for Landover:
May 8, 1976 Landover, MD’ Landover Capital Centre
1. Dusty Rhodes © Vs Ric Flair (ACES World Heavyweight Championship) 2. Hillbilly Jim © Vs Paul Orndorff (ACES Jackpot Championship) 3. Jerry Lawler © Vs Dino Bravo (ACES King Of The Ring Championship) 4. Ray Stevens Vs Billy Graham 5. The Announcement concerning the World Tag Team Championship) 6. Tim Woods Vs Terry Funk 7. Stan Hansen Vs Rocky Johnson 8. Michael Hayes Vs Kevin Von Erich All this and more…

May 8, 1976 Landover, MD The Landover Capital Centre A New Match Type Is CreatedThe majority owners of ACES, Hunter A. Smith, and Ben Baron come out to the center of the ring. They both agree it is great to be in Landover for the first time, and based on hospitality alone, ACES would be back here within the next year. It was Smith doing all the talking. He addressed rumors that were not true; ACES was going under, and ACES was going to split into 3 or 4 territories. They just weren't true. Smith told the audience that he and Ben were paying attention to the situation involving the ACES World Tag Team Championships. They noticed that all the teams wanted them, but three teams in particular; The Blackjacks, the Icemen, and the Rock and Roll Express. The teams would have to wait a few months for a shot at the belts, and that just isn't good for morale in the locker room. Smith continues by saying they've come up with a brand new match that involves not just two, but three people or teams. Each team or individual would be in the ring at the same time. It would follow Tornado Rules, but there would only be one pin fall counted. Whomever scores the pin fall wins the match. There are disqualifications and count outs, which are used at the referee's discretion. This match will be called the Triple Threat Match. To make it even better when the time comes for it, the match can be held with 4 men/teams, which makes it a "Pyramid Match." The first "Triple Threat Match will take place 3 weeks from tonight involving The Blackjacks, The Icemen, and current ACES World Tag Team Champions, The Rock and Roll Express as we roll into Wheeling, West Virginia and the Wesbanco Arena. Thank you and enjoy tonight's event. Tim Woods defeated Terry Funk when Terry Funk passed out in an airplane spin in 0:11:15. Rating: ****A definite candidate for match of the year right here, as Terry Funk continues to have trouble finding his bearings as a singles wrestler, while Tim Woods, with his mentoring from Bobo Brazil is getting better and better. Funk notices someone sitting ringside with a Cowboy hat on. It’s none other than BILL WATTS. Funk goes over to him and coerces him, but Watts wants nothing to do with it. Funk then slaps his cowboy hat off, and Watts starts slugging it out. Security has separate them, and Funk issues a challenge for anytime and any place. Watts says three weeks from tonight in Wheeling. Stan Hansen pinned Rocky Johnson with the Lariat in 0:05:35. Rating: ***Hansen took care of Johnson with much ease and little effort, almost as if he was simply using Johnson as a punching bag. Hansen makes a point to tell the world that when July 4th rolls around, Stan Hansen is being dealt all ACES. In the meantime, he wants some competition to practice on before July 4, so he asks if anyone wants to make a name for themselves to come on out. Who answers the challenge? None other than SGT. SLAUGHTER, who tells Hanson to get in line and shape up, otherwise he’ll put him through a boot camp so terrible, his ancestors will feel it. Hansen likes this. He thinks Slaughter has spunk. He offers him a match at the event in Wheeling. Dino Bravo pinned Jerry Lawler with the Side Suplex in 0:11:31. Rating: ** 1/4 (Dino Bravo won the ACES King Of The Ring Title.)Jimmy Hart could not be more excited. Lawler, who was coming off two failed attempts to become the ACES World Heavyweight Champion, was way off his game tonight. As Lawler went for the Piledriver, Hart got up on the apron and Lawler went right to him, setting him up for Bravo to nail him with the Side Suplex for the three count and the crown. Bravo celebrated, and then Jimmy Hart told the world that the King of the Ring Crown is no more. Dino Bravo is not “King Dino.” He is simply the Canadian Strongman and is the first ACES North American Champion, and as for Lawler, he can continue to reign as king, but with no belt. Kevin Von Erich and Michael Hayes battled to a double countout in 0:17:08. Rating: 1/2*Both Von Erich and Hayes put on a great match until each man’s respective tag team partner came to the ringside area, and that’s when things started getting wild. The Freebirds and the Cowboys started duking it out on the outside of the ring not realizing the count was on, and before they knew it both men were counted out. The Freebirds decided to gloat anyway and told Von Erich and Bret Hart that if they wanted some, all they had to do was ask; they asked; Hayes says Bret must wrestle Jimmy Garvin in three weeks in Wheeling. Bret agreed. Paul Orndorff and Hillbilly Jim battled to a draw in 0:20:00. Rating: 3/4* (Hillbilly Jim retained the ACES Jackpot Championship.)Twenty minutes just wasn’t enough for Orndorff to take the title from Hillbilly Jim. He claimed he could beat him with 5 more minutes, so Orndorff pleaded for a match with a 25-minute time limit at the show in Wheeling. The request was granted, but if Orndorff can’t get it done, he’ll have to wait until Hillbilly Jim loses the Jackpot Championship until he can get another shot. Ray Stevens defeated Billy Graham when Billy Graham passed out in the Chicken-Wing Submission in 0:10:09. Rating: *** ¼Nobody thought the Superstar Billy Graham would go down so easily, but Stevens just a bit over the line of crazy, not to mention Luke Graham at ringside, who pulled the ropes away from Billy so he would have nothing to hold on to. After Billy finally got up, he demanded a tag team match with the two of them, mentioning he’ll get a tag team partner in three weeks.. Stevens and Luke agree. Dick the Bruiser defeated Pez Whatley when Pez Whatley passed out in the Stomach Claw in 0:02:42. Rating: **The ACES debut of Dick The Bruiser shows he isn’t a force to be taken lightly as he puts away Pez Whatley in under 3 minutes. Ric Flair defeated Dusty Rhodes when Dusty Rhodes passed out in the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:17:43. Rating: ** 3/4 (Ric Flair won the ACES World Heavyweight Championship.)Ric Flair has done it. He has got to the top of the mountain, and has beaten Dusty Rhodes to become the ACES World Heavyweight Championship. Dusty was bleeding furiously as he got put into the Figure Four. Referee Tommy Young stopped the match and awarded the belt and match to Flair. Flair brought out Bobby Heenan, and proceeded to tell the audience that the Living Legends are dead, and now is the time for the Four Horsemen to rise up and take over. Larry Zbyszko came out asking what was going on. Flair told him to not be upset, because he’s going to be the # 2 Horseman. This did not sit well with Larry who started to brawl with Flair, when Nick Bockwinkel made his return to ACES and revealed himself to be a member of the Horsemen with Flair. The three men (Heenan, Flair, and Bockwinkel) stood over the fallen Zbyszko as they raised their hands high. Here is what the card in Wheeling looks like for now:
May 29, 1976 Wheeling, WV Wesbanco Arena
1. Dusty Rhodes/Larry Zbyszko Vs Nick Bockwinkel/Ric Flair 2. The Rock and Roll Express © Vs The Blackjacks Vs The Icemen (Triple Threat Match – ACES World Tag Team Championship) 3. Terry Funk Vs Bill Watts 4. Stan Hansen Vs Sgt. Slaughter 5. Hillbilly Jim © Vs Paul Orndorff (25 Minute Time Limit - ACES Jackpot Championship) 6. Bret Hart Vs Jimmy Garvin 7. Ray Stevens/Luke Graham Vs Billy Graham/ 8. Dick The Bruiser/Abdullah The Butcher Vs Victor Rivera/Dominic DeNucci 9. Dino Bravo © Vs Jerry Lawler (ACES North American Championship)

May 29, 1976 Wheeling, WV Wesbanco Arena Paul Orndorff pinned Hillbilly Jim with the Piledriver in 0:08:26. Rating: 1/2* (Paul Orndorff won the ACES Jackpot Championship.)Orndorff said last week that he could beat Hillbilly Jim with just a little more time, and this week he proved it and he did it in less than ten minutes. Paul Orndorff is the new ACES Jackpot Champion. Jimmy Garvin pinned Bret Hart with the DDT in 0:04:37. Rating: * ¾Garvin and Hart had a short match, but only because Michael Hayes got involved, but Kevin Von Erich was too little too late after Hayes’ interference. Garvin and Hayes issued a match against the Border Cowboys for the next show on June 20 in Akron, Ohio. Dick the Bruiser and Abdullah the Butcher defeated Victor Rivera and Dominic DeNucci when Abdullah pinned DeNucci with the Sudanese Elbowdrop in 0:08:33. Rating: 1/2*
This new team is calling themselves “Bruiser & Butcher” and Abdullah is already a wrestling legend, and Abdullah is easily able to put DeNucci away and get the win for his new team. Bill Watts defeated Terry Funk by disqualification in 0:11:11. Rating: * ½
Funk can’t seem to grasp the fact that he can be disqualified if he doesn’t let go of an illegal hold after five seconds. Watts picks up his victory in ACES, but Funk tells the audience that he is not done with Watts. He challenges Watts to a Bull Rope Match at our next show on June 20 in Akron. Watts accepted the match. Dino Bravo pinned Jerry Lawler with the Side Suplex in 0:17:54. Rating: ** 3/4 (Dino Bravo retained the ACES North American Championship.)In the first defense after renaming the title, Dino makes a successful defense against the former champion. Jimmy Hart is ecstatic about having a champion, but someone comes out of the crowd and tries to get to Bravo. When we get a decent look, we realize it is GREG VALENTINE. He challenges Bravo to a match in Akron. Bravo, with his pride and Jimmy Hart’s big mouth, accepts the match. Billy Graham’s Partner? The Asylum, consisting of Ray Stevens and Luke Graham, call out Billy Graham, who appears. They ask who he got to be his partner. Billy Graham, laughing and smiling, told them it was none other than BRUNO SAMMARTINO!Billy Graham and Bruno Sammartino defeated Ray Stevens and Luke Graham when B. Sammartino made R. Stevens submit to the Sammartino Backbreaker in 0:14:05. Rating: *** ¼The Asylum comes up short as they could not wrap their minds around the idea that Bruno and Billy managed to get along with each other. Either way, Sammartino manages to put Stevens in the Sammartino Backbreaker for the victory. Stan Hansen pinned Sgt. Slaughter with the Lariat in 0:10:35. Rating: **** ¼What a match. Slaughter might be the only person so far who came close to beating Hansen, but Slaughter learned first hand what the Hansen Lariat feels like, and not even he could stop the locomotive that is Stan Hansen, but Slaughter said he wanted a second piece of Hansen. Hansen replied telling Slaughter that if he wanted a second Lariat, he’d be more than happy to give it to him. Nick Bockwinkel and Ric Flair defeated Dusty Rhodes and Larry Zbyszko when Bockwinkel defeated Zbyszko via pinfall in 0:08:51 Rating: ***This match revealed the third Horseman to the world. When it seemed that Rhodes and Zbyszko were going to pull out the victory, the third Horseman showed himself, and it was the biggest Horseman you’d ever see in ANDRE THE GIANT who knocked out Zbyszko and Rhodes with h chops to the head. Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) defeated The Icemen (Pedro Morales and Don Muraco) and The Blackjacks (Blackjack Lanza and Blackjack Mulligan) when R. Morton pinned Lanza after the The Double Drop kick in 0:31:34. Rating: ** 1/4 (Rock'n'Roll Express retained the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)In the very first Triple Threat Match that the ACES world has seen, the Rock N Roll Express retain their tag team championships. The Board of Directors were very pleased and more triple threat matches are on the way. The next ACES events is going to be in Akron, and Columbus respectively to promote the Bicentennial Brawl on July, and the card looks like this so far, and it has just been announced that Flair is demanding Rhodes put his career on the line for the rematch:
June 20, 1976 Akron, OH Rhodes Arena
1. Ric Flair © Vs Dusty Rhodes (Title Vs Career - ACES World Heavyweight Championship) 2. Larry Zybszko Vs Andre The Giant 3. The Rock and Roll Express © Vs The Blackjacks (ACES World Tag Team Championship) 4. Paul Orndorff © Vs Hillbilly Jim (ACES Jackpot Championship) 5. Dino Bravo © Vs Greg Valentine (ACES North American Championship) 6. The Freebirds Vs Kevin Von Erich/Bret Hart 7. Stan Hansen Vs Sgt. Slaughter 8. Terry Funk Vs Bill Watts (Bullrope Match)
June 21, 1976 Columbus, OH Battelle Hall
1. Stan Hansen Vs Nick Bockwinkel 2. Andre The Giant/Ric Flair Vs Larry Zbyszko/Jimmy Snuka 3. Bill Watts Vs Hiro Matsuda 4. Kamala/George Steele Vs Ray Stevens/Luke Graham 5. Jack Brisco Vs Porkchop Cash 6. Bret Hart Vs Michael Hayes 7. Jerry Lawler Vs Orion Labrakis 8. The Peacemakers Vs Bruiser & Butcher

June 20, 1976 Akron, OH Rhodes Arena
Bull Rope Match Terry Funk defeated Bill Watts when Bill Watts passed out in a chokehold in 0:23:35. Rating: ** ¾Terry Funk finally puts his love of pressing the 5 count to good use. The bull rope was used to choke out Watts, who eventually succumbed to the choking. Funk then continued to whip Watts with the rope, and Funk then started whipping himself. Why would Funk inflict pain upon himself? Dino Bravo pinned Greg Valentine with the Side Suplex in 0:07:07. Rating: *** (Dino Bravo retained the ACES North American Championship.)Valentine returned at the last show to extract revenge on his former tag team partner, and he saw Bravo’s title win as a means of getting back at his former partner (Valentine). Unfortunately, Valentine came up a day late and a dollar short. The next odd thing to happen was Bobby Heenan approaching Jimmy Hart at ringside. Could Bravo be in line to be the Fourth Horseman? Stan Hansen pinned Sgt. Slaughter with the Lariat in 0:16:39. Rating: ****Another great match between Slaughter and Hansen, but again, Slaughter could not get the job done, and found himself on the losing end of another lariat. I would not be surprised if Slaughter was in line for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship in the near future. Hansen is still undefeated and he has his sights set on Ric Flair on July 4th, but he’ll have to deal with Nick Bockwinkel first. Kevin Von Erich and Bret Hart defeated The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin) when Kevin Von Erich pinned M. Hayes after a flying sunset flip in 0:16:23. Rating: ** ¾The Cowboys of the Borders get one up on the Freebirds. The Freebirds have not such great success in ACES. Could this penalize The Freebirds in any way? Is there tag team gold in the future for the Cowboys of the Borders. Paul Orndorff pinned Hillbilly Jim with the Piledriver in 0:15:36. Rating: * 1/4 (Paul Orndorff retained the ACES Jackpot Championship.)Orndorff retains the Jackpot Championship against the man he won it from, and he did it in convincing fashion, lifting the big guy up and nailing him with a Piledriver. Andre the Giant pinned Larry Zbyszko with the Elbowdrop in 0:09:58. Rating: ** 1/2If Zbyszko thought he was going to take the big man down, he was very wrong. Larry’s aggression was his undoing and Andre had a field day. Heenan said it was only a matter of time before the Fourth Horseman reveals himself. Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) defeated The Blackjacks (Blackjack Lanza and Blackjack Mulligan) when R. Morton pinned Mulligan with the Flying Dropkick in 0:08:00. Rating: *** (Rock'n'Roll Express retained the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express is victorious over the former champions in their rightful rematch, but the question remains; what is next for The Blackjacks? Singles championships perhaps? [Title Vs Career] Ric Flair defeated Dusty Rhodes when Dusty Rhodes passed out in the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:17:36. Rating: *** (Ric Flair retained the ACES World Heavyweight Championship.)That is the end of the ACES career for the American Dream. Rhodes gets locked into the Figure Four and couldn’t escape. Ric Flair and Bobby Heenan showed little to no respect as Rhodes was leaving to a standing ovation. Dusty will be missed, but his near 18 months of action in this company will not be forgotten. Tomorrow night’s event in Columbus is still the same, but for those who would like a reminder, here it is: June 21, 1976 Columbus, OH Battelle Hall
1. Stan Hansen Vs Nick Bockwinkel 2. Andre The Giant/Ric Flair Vs Larry Zbyszko/Jimmy Snuka 3. Bill Watts Vs Hiro Matsuda 4. Kamala/George Steele Vs Ray Stevens/Luke Graham 5. Jack Brisco Vs Porkchop Cash 6. Bret Hart Vs Michael Hayes 7. Jerry Lawler Vs Orion Labrakis 8. The Peacemakers Vs Bruiser & Butcher

June 21, 1976 Columbus, OH Battelle Hall [/center] [/b] Jack Brisco made Porkchop Cash submit to the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:05:26 Rating: ****Brisco picks up a well deserved victory here tonight.. Jerry Lawler defeated Orion Labrakis by countout in 0:15:01. Rating: * ½The Golden Greek loses yet again to the king of professional wrestling and still cannot find anyone to rub him down before his matches, which is how he explains his losses. Bret Hart pinned Michael Hayes after an elbowdrop from the second turnbuckle in 0:07:35. Rating: ** ½The young and talented Bret Hart picks up another victory against another Freebird. This feud might be over by now. Ray Stevens and Luke Graham defeated Kamala and George Steele when R. Stevens pinned Kamala after a powerslam in 0:14:16. Rating: ** ½The Asylum picks up a victory and are showing more cohesion as a team every time they step into the ring. They should be in line for a shot at the tag titles very soon. Bill Watts pinned Hiro Matsuda with the Bulldog Headlock in 0:12:34. Rating: ** The Cowboy Bill Watts continues to pick up momentum as he tries to climb the championship ladder here in ACES. Dick the Bruiser and Abdullah the Butcher defeated The Peacemakers (Tim Woods and Ivan Koloff) when Abdullah defeated T. Woods when T. Woods passed out in a bearhug in 0:06:19. Rating: * ¾The Bruiser and The Butcher make a formidable tag team, and they might be taking the tag titles sooner, rather than later. Andre the Giant and Ric Flair defeated Larry Zbyszko and Jimmy Snuka when Andre pinned Zbyszko with the Elbowdrop in 0:24:31. Rating: ***Is Ric Flair scared of Stan Hansen? The fans won’t find out until they meet one on one for the ACES World Heavyweight Championship, but here tonight, Ric Flair and Andre The Giant proved why they are worthy of the Horseman name. Stan Hansen defeated Nick Bockwinkel by disqualification in 0:16:53. Rating: ** ½Hansen remains undefeated as he picks up a victory by DQ over the number 2 Horseman thanks to Ric Flair trying to ensure that Hansen does not make it to the Brawl on July 4th, but Hansen seems like he can take on all the Horseman, and on Jul 4th, he might have to. The Bicentennial Brawl July 4, 1976 Detroit, MI Cobo Arena
The cameras zoom over the tightly packed Cobo Arena, and there isn’t an empty seat in the house as ACES prepares for what might be the biggest event in their existence. Ring announcer Bill Merriman welcomes the crowd to the show and tells them that we are starting off with a 10-Team Battle Royal. The winners will face the ACES Tag Team Champions later on in the evening. Without further delay, let’s go to the ring.
10-Tag Team Battle Royal Right off the bat, Ivan Koloff and Tim Woods (The Peacemakers) are eliminated by Bill Watts. who pairs off with Hiro Matsuda. Watts eliminates Matsuda, resulting in the elimination of the Oriental Agressors.
Hillbilly Jim eliminates Kamala, which also means George Steele is eliminated. Horseman Nick Bockwinkel scores two more eliminations in Bill Watts, and Victor Rivera, which leaves us with 5 teams.
Bockwinkel’s Horseman partner, Andre The Giant eliminates Pedro Morales, bringing us down to 4 teams. The Soul Patrol’s Rocky Johnson eliminates Bobby Duncum, and we’re down to 3 teams.
Abdullah The Butcher eliminates Tony Atlas, and we have our final two teams; Bruiser and Butcher and the Horsemen.
Andre & Bockwinkel throw Abdullah over the top and that is going to end the match. It’s the Horsemen Vs The Rock N Roll Express later on in the evening.
20-Man Tag Team Battle Royal Andre the Giant and Nick Bockwinkel won a 10-team Battle Royal: x Watts threw out I. Koloff (partner: Tim Woods) in 0:00:28 x Watts threw out Matsuda (partner: Kintaro Ohki) after a football tackle in 0:01:43 x Hillbilly Jim threw out Kamala (partner: George Steele) in 0:08:27 x Bockwinkel threw out Watts (partner: Dick Murdoch) in 0:14:10 x Bockwinkel threw out Rivera (partner: Dominic DeNucci) after a clothesline in 0:14:24 x Andre threw out Morales (partner: Don Muraco) after a roundhouse right in 0:15:33 x R. Johnson threw out Duncum (partner: Hillbilly Jim) in 0:17:18 x Abdullah threw out Atlas (partner: Rocky Johnson) in 0:19:46 x Bockwinkel threw out Abdullah (partner: Dick the Bruiser) in 0:20:59 Rating: ** ¾
Bret Hart defeated Jerry Lawler when Jerry Lawler passed out in the Sharpshooter in 0:23:18. Rating: *** ¾
What an incredible exhibition match this was. Two well-trained athletes who put on a heck of a match, but it was Bret Hart and his patented Sharp-Shooter submission hold that made Lawler submit, and it looks like Bret is going to be headed towards singles gold very soon.
Luke Graham pinned Billy Graham with the Thumb to the Throat in 0:22:45. Rating: ** ¼
Luke Graham defeats his brother, and he could not be happier. As Ray Stevens tried to interfere, Billy Graham held him at bay, but Billy did not have any help, and Bruno Sammartino was nowhere to be found, and a thumb to the throat later, Luke Graham had the victory.
Kevin Von Erich made Dino Bravo submit to the Claw in 0:19:54. Rating: ** (Kevin Von Erich won the ACES North American Championship.)
Kevin Von Erich’s victory can only be described as an upset, having not been here very long and been stuck in a tag team with Bret Hart. Von Erich fought Bravo tooth and nail, and eventually managed to put him in the patented Von Erich Claw, and Bravo went down like a sack of potatoes.
Paul Orndorff pinned Jack Brisco with the Piledriver in 0:06:55. Rating: *** (Paul Orndorff retained the ACES Jackpot Championship.)
Another successful defense for the Jackpot Champion, Paul Orndorff.
Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) defeated Nick Bockwinkel and Andre the Giant when R. Morton pinned Andre with the Flying Dropkick in 0:14:08. Rating: ** 3/4 (Rock'n'Roll Express retained the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)
This finish was incredible, as everyone thought that Andre would dominate and ensure that the tag titles would be the property of the Horseman by the end of the night. However, both Morton and Gibson endured and kept Andre at bay, using double-team maneuvers, and Bockwinkel was the victim of most of the 1 on 1 action. Eventually, the Express used their arsenal of dropkicks kept the Horsemen at bay and they retain the ACES Tag Team Championship.
Blackjack Mulligan made Blackjack Lanza submit to the Blackjack Claw in 0:00:58 Rating: **
It seemed as if there was going to be a decent match, but instead, Lanza let his partner put the Blackjack Claw on him as a favor, and to see him go out on a high note. What is going to happen to Blackjack Lanza now though?
Stan Hansen pinned Ric Flair with the Lariat in 0:14:37. Rating: *** (Stan Hansen won the ACES World Heavyweight Championship.)
It was the undefeated streak against the title, and if RIc Flair thought he would be able to take down the powerful Hansen by himself, he was terribly wrong, as all of Flair’s dirty tactics ended up not working, including using the ropes for leverage for a pin, and using a weapon Flair kept in his trunks. Flair was out of options, and went for the Figure-Four, and Hansen powered out of it, finally nailing Flair with not one, but two Lariats, and the crowd counted along for the three count. Stan Hansen is your new ACES World Heavyweight Champion.
Wow. What a super show! New champions and the Horsemen are taken down off their mantles for the moment. The next event ACES is putting on is scheduled for August 1, 1976 as ACES returns to Madison Square Garden in New York City and the card looks like this:
1. Stan Hansen © Vs Ric Flair (ACES World Heavyweight Championship) 2. The Rock N Roll Express © Vs The Icemen (ACES World Tag Team Championship) 3. Paul Orndorff © Vs Blackjack Lanza (ACES Jackpot Championship) 4. Kevin Von Erich © Vs Dino Bravo (ACES North American Championship) 5. Larry Hennig Vs Roddy Piper 6. The Peacemakers Vs Ray Stevens/Luke Graham (# 1 Contender’s Match) 7. Dick Murdoch Vs Nikolai Volkoff 8. Bill Watts Vs Bobby Duncum 9. Larry Zbyszko Vs Nick Bockwinkel

August 1, 1976 New York City, NY Madison Square Garden Larry Hennig pinned Porkchop Cash with the Axe in 0:03:06. Rating: *This was the ACES debut of Larry “The Axe” Hennig, and it was extremely impressive. Paul Orndorff pinned Blackjack Lanza with the Piledriver in 0:08:25. Rating: * (Paul Orndorff retained the ACES Jackpot Championship.) When Blackjack Mulligan left, the ACES Board of Directors decided to give him a singles championship match, but unfortunately, Lanza came up just a bit too short. Dick Murdoch pinned Nikolai Volkoff with the Gourdbuster in 0:12:10. Rating: * ½Nikolai Volkoff makes his ACES debut but comes up short against the Captain of Rednecks Dick Murdoch. Kevin Von Erich made Dino Bravo submit to the Claw in 0:15:59. Rating: *** 3/4 (Kevin Von Erich retained the ACES North American Championship.)Von Erich retains the title again, but his next opponent might just take it away, because his next opponent is his former tag team partner, Bret Hart. Bobby Duncum pinned Bill Watts with the Full Nelson Slam in 0:14:20. Rating: ***Both of these men consider themselves “cowboys” so this bout was somewhat based on pride, because of the winner believing he is the true cowboy of ACES. Duncum, who we haven’t seen for a bit, came back fighting and was able to get a victory over Bill Watts. Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) defeated The Icemen (Pedro Morales and Don Muraco) when R. Gibson defeated Morales when Morales passed out in an abdominal stretch in 0:13:45. Rating: ** (Rock'n'Roll Express retained the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)The Rock N Roll Express continue to retain the ACES World Tag Team Championship, and it looks like they are headed on a streak that could compare to the Blackjacks. Muraco was not happy that he and Morales are on a losing streak. Nick Bockwinkel pinned Larry Zbyszko with the Piledriver in 0:16:55. Rating: *** ¼Could this finally be the turn-around the Horsemen need? We’ll have to see if Ric Flair can prove that Stan Hansen’s victory last month was a fluke. Ray Stevens and Luke Graham defeated The Peacemakers (Tim Woods and Ivan Koloff) when L. Graham pinned T. Woods with the Thumb to the Throat in 0:14:55. Rating: ** ¼ Stevens and Graham are the new # 1 Contenders to the ACES World Tag Team Championships. Can the Asylum take those belts at our next show in Atlantic City when ACES returns to Boardwalk Hall. Ric Flair pinned Stan Hansen with the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:16:55. Rating: ** 3/4 (Ric Flair won the ACES World Heavyweight Championship.)The audience cannot believe what has just happened. We now have a 4th Horseman. It’s RODDY PIPER. Flair managed to duck Hansen’s attempts at hitting the Lariat, and when Flair locked in the Figure Four, out came Roddy Piper who whacked Hansen over the head with a chair (after referee Dean Ross was knocked out). Ross crawled over and made the 3 count and Flair regains the World Heavyweight Championship and gives Stan Hansen his first defeat. What a night tonight was! The next stop for ACES is going back to Atlantic City, and Boardwalk Hall.

September 12, 1976 Boardwalk Hall Atlantic City, NJ
Billy Graham pinned Dino Bravo after hitting him with a fire extinguisher in 0:18:45. Rating: DUDWhen Billy Graham was done defeating Dino Bravo, he asked Bruno Sammartino to come out and ask why he wasn’t at his side for the past few events. Bruno came out and tried to explain but Billy Graham was not letting him get a word in edgewise. Graham then attacked Bruno, and told the audience that their hero Bruno is nothing more than a washed-up piece of garbage. It looks like Billy Graham is back to being a bad man again. The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin) defeated The Oriental Agressors (Kintaro Ohki and Hiro Matsuda) when J. Garvin made Ohki submit to an abdominal stretch in 0:05:51. Rating: ** ½
The Freebirds pick up a much needed win here tonight, and the Oriental Aggressors (minus the Grand Wizard) are falling into tag team disarray, and who knows where they are going to end up. Paul Orndorff pinned Bill Eadie with the Piledriver in 0:16:18. Rating: * 3/4 (Paul Orndorff retained the ACES Jackpot Championship.)Paul Orndorff’s luck doesn’t seem to run out, but then again, maybe it isn’t luck. He keeps running through opponents, and soon, there won’t be any left. Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) defeated Luke Graham and Ray Stevens when R. Morton pinned R. Stevens after the The Double Drop kick in 0:22:05. Rating: ** 3/4 (Rock'n'Roll Express retained the ACES World Tag Team Championship.)
The Rock N Roll Express continue their winning ways, retaining their ACES World Tag Team Championship, and extending their winning ways. The Express is asking for some new teams to compete against. Larry Zbyszko, Jerry Lawler and Hillbilly Jim defeated Nick Bockwinkel, Roddy Piper and Andre the Giant when Zbyszko pinned Piper with the Crunch Time in 0:35:03. Rating: ** ¼The Horsemen take a hit in this 6-man tag team match, with the winning team lead by Larry Zbyszko, who surprised the Horsemen by bringing out Jerry Lawler and Hillbilly Jim as his tag team partners. Either way, the team worked well together, and held up great against The Horsemen who seem hell-bent on bringing war to ACES. Bret Hart defeated Kevin Von Erich by disqualification in 0:20:24. Rating: ** (Kevin Von Erich retained the ACES North American Championship.)When it looked like Bret was going to defeat Von Erich and capture the North American Championship, Von Erich did something we never thought we’d see him do. He shoved down referee Tommy Young and got himself disqualified, resulting in a loss, but not a loss of the championship. Von Erich tried apologizing, but Bret was miffed. Von Erich offered a rematch for the next ACES show in Baltimore, when ACES returns there on October 29. Two-out-of-three-Falls Match Stan Hansen beat Ric Flair 2 falls to 1: x Hansen beat R. Flair via the Lariat in 0:25:05 x R. Flair beat Hansen via an abdominal stretch in 0:26:29 x Hansen beat R. Flair via a gutwrench suplex in 0:32:53 Rating: *** 1/4 (Stan Hansen won the ACES World Heavyweight Championship.)
Once again, Stan Hansen has outdone Ric Flair, and taken away the ACES World Heavyweight Championship. Ric Flair threw a huge fit, and declared war on ACES. He tells the audience that until he gets his championship back, no one is safe from annihilation from the Horsemen In some other rather sudden news, both Pedro Morales and Paul Orndorff have quit ACES. This now means that the ACES Jackpot Championship is now vacant, and 2 10-Man Battle Royals will take place with the winners facing each other at the next show on October 29 at the Baltimore Civic Center, and the card looks like this so far:
1. Ric Flair Vs Jerry Lawler 2. Kevin Von Erich © Vs Bret Hart (ACES North American Championship) 3. 10-Man Battle Royal # 1 4. 10-Man Battle Royal # 2 5. Battle Royal Winner # 1 Vs Battle Royal Winner # 2 (ACES Jackpot Championship) 6. Larry Hennig Vs Nikolai Volkoff 7. The Freebirds Vs Butcher & Bruiser 8. Bill Watts Vs Bobby Duncum (Rights to the “Cowboy” name)

In a shocking revelation, it was announced earlier today t December 31, 1983, that the ACES library between Fall 1976 and December 1982 has been destroyed in a fire at the ACES Entertainment Headquarters in Fresh Meadows, New York.
All that was left were computers that needed to be reconstructed in order to read the backup files of the results of ACES of these now 6 missing years. There is no way to recoup the results of the past six years, but ACES was in the process of undergoing a 2 years renovation, so the last event under the ACES banner took place in December 1982, with its renovation to be complete on January 1985.
This renovation included the building of its own facility; the ACE-PLACE, located in Elmhurst, New York. It would also include PPV events that would take place every other month in the ACE-PLACE, and in other arenas in those places in between.
The next huge renovation was the name; ACES was still ACES Entertainment, but the name of their professional wrestling division would be renamed by their newly-voted-in chairperson Ben Baron. They would now be known as "CLASSIC WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT FEDERATION (CeWF)."
The third, and perhaps biggest announcement is that the CeWF would air a total of 3 on-air programs over a week block; the first show would be called Mid-Week Mayhem (1 hour) and air on Wednesdays at 8 PM; the second show would be called CeWF Live! and air on Friday nights, and the third show would be a Saturday morning show, CeWF Class Act (which would be like a recap, but would have its own exclusive matches).
So there you have it. ACES is no more, but a much better wrestling experience is on the way Stay tuned!!!

I was loving this. If you don't mind, I would like to borrow this idea and expand upon it.
