REAL LIFE In 1991 at Clash of the Champion XIV, Scott Steiner goes to a time limit draw with Ric Flair in a match for the WCW World Heavyweight Title.
Allegedly, Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes both wanted to put the world championship on Scott Steiner in 1991, but he refused because he didn't want to break up the tag team with his brother.
Later that year, Flair leaves for WWF until 1993.
In 1992, the Steiners leave for WWF in a contract dispute and don't return until 1996.
In 1997, Scott Steiner massively increases his muscle mass and changes his look to resemble "Superstar" Billy Graham. He possibly also loses his mind.
WHAT IF Scott Steiner is somehow persuaded to accept the world championship. Maybe Rick hears about it and tells Scott he'd be crazy to pass up this chance? Maybe Rick gets hurt so the tag team would be on the shelf for awhile anyway?
What does the future of WCW look like with Scott Steiner becoming a World Champion in 1991, after about 2 years in the business but having show great skills as a wrestler?

This story is unbelievable...why would he not want the World title... He thought Rick wouldn't have a job much longer if he wasn't part of the Steiner Brothers.

That's crazy - and that's saying something considering it's Scott Steiner! The idea of running with this "what if" scenario would be interesting...

Interesting scenario here. So if Steiner has the belt, Flair never leaves as champ. Does Lex Luger still turn heel like he did to win the vacant title? The other belt that went through Barry Windham, Rick Rude and Sting never existed?
