WWN - Pretty Amazing - 2016.05.29
A video package airs, showcasing tonight’s featured matches, the ⅔ falls match between Ashley Flair and Nattie Neidhart, the streetfight between Kimberly and Saraya Knight and the Tag team title match between LuKana and AJ/Tonga Tapa.
Bully Sky w/Bully Ray vs Serena This was a rematch from yesterday, when Serena got a win over Bully Sky. These two veterans are in the twilight years of their career, but neither wants to be seen as “over the top”. That was why Sky requested the rematch from yesterday, to prove to the fans, to AJ and maybe to herself that she still was on the top of her game. Her “top of the game” naturally includes her boyfriend Bully Ray sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong. He also showed himself not above punching women, as he gave Serena a hard right when the ref had his back turned. That led straight into the pedigree and a solid win for Sky.
Bully Sky defeated Serena with the In Yo Face after 04:52 Rating: **
Sisters of No Mercy vs Young Contenders The way back to the tag team titles hasn’t been as easy as Athena and Awesome Kong foresaw when they re-established their tag team. After losing to LuKana at Queen of the Ring, their attempts at a new title shot was thwarted by the Young Contenders, the promising team of Heidi Lovelace and Donna Lee. The two good friends started out fast and furious against Awesome Kong, and they managed to get a two count early on. The attitude from the Sisters as of late has not been by the book, and they spent a lot of time double-teaming Heidi, despite the protests from the referee and Donna. They couldn’t cope with the experience, power and strength of the Sisters, who dropped the Queen of the Ring with a No Mercy Power Bomb.
Sisters of No Mercy defeated Young Contenders in 08:19 Rating: ***¼
Replacement made A video airs of AJ Mendez calling Jessica Havock into her office. AJ says that she has been very happy with Havock’s performance as of late. As a result, she has decided to insert J-Hav into the tag team title match today instead of herself. She feels that despite having been enemies, she and Tapa will surely defeat the champs and bring the gold back to her. She pats Havock on her back, telling her that she has done good after joining her. Jessica says AJ won’t regret this. Rating: **¾
LuKana (c’s) vs Tonga Tapa & Jessica Havock w/AJ Mendez for the TNAW Tag Team Titles The tag team division is more competitive than ever, and while Josh Matthews indicated that the choice of top contenders was heavily influenced by AJ Mendez, “the Pope” D’Angelo Dinero defended the decision, saying that Tapa and Havock was a formidable duo. Some initial cooperation problems in the start as AJ’s chosen women got used to being partners and not enemies. Eventually, the sheer power of both challengers got the best out of Kana, and LuFisto could only see as her Japanese partner was dismantled slowly but steadily. After out-smarting a double-team move from the challengers, Kana was pleased to see the two power-women clothesline each other. The Canadian superstar LuFisto was tagged in, cannonballing both her opponents on the way toward victory. Diving out between the ropes to wipe out Tonga gave Kana the opportunity to force Havock’s submission.
LuKana defeated Tapa & Havock when Kana made Havock submit to the Kana Lock in 11:49 Rating: ¾* (LuKana retained the WWN Tag Team Titles in their 6th title defense)
We’re next A video airs of Sisters of No Mercy, Athena and Awesome Kong, watching the tag title match on a monitor. They look at each other before smiling and declaring that they were glad that LuKana retained. They would get revenge for their loss and regain their position as the prime tag team in WWN. Rating: *
Tara speaks As we come back to the ring, Dixie Carter is in the ring. She announces the three time WWN World Champion, Tara. The most decorated wrestler in WWN’s history enter the ring to a great ovation from the crowd. Before Tara can speak, AJ Mendez’ music hits, and the General Manager enters. AJ says she’s delighted to see Tara back, and cannot wait to hear what Tara’s plans are, who she’s going after and so on. Does she want a world title match? Tara says that she is not here for any of that. She has thought long and hard about her future. With her age and the amount of injuries she has suffered over the past year, she has decided to retire - effective immediately. AJ gets in the ring, angry. She tells Tara she had big plans for her, she was to bring WWN back to its greatness. And now she is taking up time at an iPPV to sob about her age and injury? She makes her sick! Dixie grabs the microphone, telling AJ to respect a veteran like Tara. AJ says she only respects those that are able to bring something to the table today, not last year! Music hits the PA system, and Sasha “the Boss” Banks enters with a microphone. She says that as “the Boss”, she really doesn’t respect anyone else. But there is one exception, and that is a pioneer like Tara. As Sasha gets in the ring, AJ yells at Sasha for coming out here, telling her that she has no business here. Sasha says that AJ might be her boss, but Dixie Carter is HER boss, and she is sure that Dixie will appreciate what she is about to do. With that said, she clocks AJ, who spins right into Tara, who kicks AJ in the gut and hits the Widow’s Peak. One final Widow’s Peak for a great career. Tara and Sasha pose in the ring as AJ Mendez retreats from the ring. Rating: ***¼
Mia Yim w/So Cal Val vs Sasha Banks (c) for the TV Title With the canny SoCal Val by her ide, Mia Yim is even more dangerous than ever. Sasha felt that up close as the challenger attacked her before the bell. Sasha might be small in stature, but she hasn’t gotten to where she has in her career without being able to survive an onslaught from the likes of MIa. Every time Mia hit her with a power move or a knockout kick, Sasha kicked out and went on the offensive. She almost knocked Mia out with a high knee in the corner. SoCal Val tried to get involved, but received a knee of her own, knocking her off the apron. Mia hit with the Goodnight Kick, but chose to go for Sky Yim instead of a pinfall. Sasha rolled away and promptly cinched in the Bank Statement, forcing Mia to tap out.
Sasha Banks defeated Mia Yim when Yim submitted to the Bank Statement in 10:10 Rating: *** (Sasha Banks retained the WWN TV Title in her 3rd title defense)
Kimberly vs Saraya Knight - Streetfight This was the culmination of months of hatred between the two combatants. Saraya took Kimberly out of the title match at Through the Gates of Hell, Kimberly responded by injuring Knight, putting her out of actions for a longer period. Kimberly’s subsequent suspension and deterioration into a crazy homeless person is just sad. She came to the match unkempt and with a garbage can of weapons, ready to destroy Saraya. This was a 15-minute brawl through and through, a match that spanned the entirety of the arena and also went into the crowd, Knight getting a couple of fans to hold Kimberly as she chopped her chest red. Kimberly slammed Saraya down on a garbage can with the Shuttle 151 for a near fall at the 10-minute mark, but Knight wouldn’t stay down. She punch and kicked and slammed Kimberly with all the objects she could find, finally getting the pinfall with a powerbomb on a chair. Saraya Knight defeated Kimberly with a power bomb on a chair after 14:53 Rating: *
Ashley Flair vs Nattie Neidhart (c) w/RD Evans for the WWN World Title The final chapter in the storied rivalry between two of the most pedigreed wrestlers in WWN. Former teammates in the Horsewomen, now bitter rivals over the industry’s most coveted prize. To make matters worse (for both), they needed to defeat each other twice. First fall normal, second fall no disqualification and third fall submission only. The match started slow, neither wanting to make a mistake that led to that first fall. Neidhart went after Flair’s back, setting up for the Sharpshooter later on. RD Evans stayed on the sidelines for long, but eventually tripped up Ashley as she was climbing the ropes. The referee saw it, ejecting Evans to the great pleasure of the fans! The commotion allowed Nattie to retrieve the title belt, cracking it over Ashley’s head to make the first fall.
x Nattie pinned Ashley after 09:42 - 1-0
Nattie immediately put Ashley in the Sharpshooter, but Ashley managed to counter out of it and fought back with the fervor of someone who saw their chance slip by. The no dq stipulation of the second fall saw Nattie try to bring in the title once again, but she dropped it when Ashley kicked her in the gut. She then hit the Natural selection on Nattie on top of the belt, evening out the score!
X Ashley pinned Nattie after the Natural Selection in 14:21 - 1-1
Both went full steam ahead trying to cinch in their submission maneuvers, and we saw a flurry of reversals and re-reversals in this period, showcasing their brilliant capabilities. Nattie turned the Figure Eight, Ashley turned the Sharpshooter. In the end, it was the brilliant technical prowess of Nattie Neidhart that dragged Ashley out in the middle of the ring each time she neared the ropes. Finally, Ashley faded from consciousness, and the ref awarded the match to Nattie.
X Nattie Neidhart made Ashley Flair submit to the Sharpshooter in 18:05 - 2-1 Rating: **** (Nattie Neidhart retained the WWN World Title in her 6th title defense)
A new challenger arises As Nattie Neidhart and a returned RD Evans celebrated their impressive victory, the music of Saraya Knight played. A bruised and bloody Knight came out with a microphone, clapping. She congratulated Nattie on retaining the title, but wanted to make it known that now that Kimberly was gone from her life from good, she wanted to return the focus to what mattered most. The WWN World Title. RD Evans retorted that Saraya was too old to hang with the likes of Nattie. Saraya said that age didn’t matter. Only skill, strength and the ability to bring pain. And in that department, nobody was better suited than her. Nattie could consider herself warned. Nattie looked worried as the show went off air. Rating: ****
Show rating: ***
Show notes: All champions defended their belts successfully. But what now with the World Title? Will Saraya Knight challenge Nattie Neidhart? Check out Showdown next Saturday to find out!

WWN - Saturday Night Showdown - 2016.06.04
I’m coming for you Six days ago, Nattie Neidhart was victorious in the ⅔ falls match against Ashley Flair, defending her WWN World Title for the 6th time. After that match, Saraya Knight made her intentions clear. She wanted the championship. Tonight’s showdown starts with Knight in the ring. The matriarch of British women’s wrestling repeated her demand for a title match, and called out Nattie Neidhart. The champion came out alongside her manager and solicitor RD Evans. Neidhart grabbed the mic from RD, telling Saraya that one win over a hopeless hobo didn’t earn her title shots. Nattie told her to get in line, to the retirement home, that is. AJ Mendez’ music played. AJ, who was last seen suffering the Widow’s Peak from Tara as the veteran announced her retirement looked to be in a bad mood. AJ said that neither of them called the shots around here - she did. That being said, Saraya Knight is a former World Champion who deserves a fair shot at the title. Despite Nattie’s protests, she books the match for next week! Rating: **½
Amber Gallows vs Serena Another former world champion was up next. Serena might have been bested by Bully Sky six days ago at Pretty Amazing, but the experienced grappler had little problems against Gallows, finishing up her short work day with a spear.
Serena defeated Amber Gallows with the Spear in 01:42 Rating: ***¼
Nattie angry with her representation A video airs of an angry Nattie Neidhart, venting her frustration over RD Evans’ lack of action when AJ booked a title match. Why didn’t he protest it? RD threw up his hands, saying that AJ is their boss, she makes the matches. Besides, is she really afraid of that old hag. Nattie calms down, saying that she is far from afraid, but she is not going to be a champ that is bullied around like some bureaucrat. No offense. RD says he didn’t take any offense at it, and that he will make sure she stays champ for as long as he’s around. Rating: ***¼
AJ promises Sasha hell A video airs of a dour AJ in her office, staring daggers at a grinning Sasha Banks sitting on the opposite end of the desk. Sasha asks what’s on her mind. AJ says that at Pretty Amazing, Tara, Sasha and Dixie Carter humiliated her in front of everyone. Now, Tara has quit and Dixie is her boss, but Sasha is her employee and in her power. Sasha would learn the hard way that messing with AJ is tantamount to career suicide. Now that her perks of having the best damn contract in the business is over, AJ is going to take her TV Championship away. Sasha scoffs, telling her that she cannot simply strip her of the title. AJ agrees, but she CAN book a title match tonight - against Tonga Tapa. Sasha isn’t fazed by this at all, donning her sun glasses and telling her that tonight, she along with the rest of the WWN fans would see Tonga Tapa’s unbeaten record beaten. Beaten by “the Boss”. Rating: ***¾
Bully Sky w/Bully Ray vs Leva Bates Sky has had a few good days since Pretty Amazing, where she picked up the win over former world champion Serena. She taunted Serena as she wrestled Leva, even hitting the spear for a 2-count. The spear might not have been of Serena’s quality, but Sky’s pedigrees are the best in business.
Billy Sky defeated Leva Bates with the In Yo Face in 03:15 Rating: **½
The superheroes comfort Flair A video shows a despondent Ashley Flair sitting backstage, watching replays of her match with Nattie Neidhart at Pretty Amazing. Suddenly, the Roses, the black- and white-clad superheroes of WWN come onto the scene with ice-cream. They sit next to Ashley and offer one to her. White Rose says that she might not have the WWN World Championship around her waist, but now she has an ice-cream. Flair smiles, takes the ice-creams and thanks the Roses for trying to cheer her up. One day, she says. One day I will be world champion, just like my father. Rating: ***
Awesome Kong vs Jessica Havock These two were involved in a violent scuffle backstage a couple of weeks ago. These two powerhouses tore into each other, trying to push and shove each other to the ground. It was Kong who finally won that contest, tricking Havock one time too many to bounce of the ropes for a shoulderblock contest. Kong showed a different side of herself than as of late, gouging eyes and choking Havock in order to wear her down. Neither one of these are clear fan favorites, but the heavyweight match was filled with near falls and feats of strength. Kong was readying the Awesome Bomb, but took too much time and Havock back-dropped her. With a roar and another impressive feat of strength, Havock got Kong up for the Air Raid Crash, dropping her down and getting the 3-count.
Jessica Havock defeated Awesome Kong with the Air Raid Crash in 08:58 Rating: ****
Sasha has a plan A video airs of Sasha Banks standing around backstage dressed in street clothes, taking pictures of herself for her Instagram account. Josh Matthews walks by, and asks her if she shouldn’t be preparing for her match. Her match against the undefeated Tonga Tapa. Which is up next? Sasha clasps Josh’s shoulder, thanking him for looking out for her, but she isn’t a little girl, she can take care of herself. And she has a plan. She cannot wait to see AJ’s face when she reveals her plan. Rating: **¾
Sasha Banks (c) vs Tonga Tapa w/AJ Mendez - TV Title Match As AJ Mendez’ huge Tongan bodyguard paced in the ring, an obvious unprepared Sasha Banks sauntered to the ring with a microphone and a piece of paper. When she got in the ring, AJ asked her what the h*** she thought she was doing. Sasha told her she had with her a copy of her contract, a contract that clearly stated that she was not obligated to defend her title more than once per 30 days. And since she had wrestled for the title six days ago, she could take her title match and her big goon and shove it up her a**.
The crowd laughed and cheered at “the Boss” as she danced to her music, but AJ Mendez called for a stop as she read the contract. As she read it, it was obvious that Sasha actually had a plan. AJ suddenly lit up, and grabbed the mic. She said that she was correct, she cannot have title matches more than once per 30 days. But non-title matches was still within her jurisdiction to book. So, Sasha could wait 24 days before facing Tonga for the title, but right now, Tonga was going to kick her a** in a non-title match.
Sasha Banks vs Tonga Tapa w/AJ Mendez - Non Title Match This wasn’t a part of Sasha’s plan, as Tonga clubbed her from behind. Wrestling in high heels, jeans and a hoodie wasn’t either. It took a couple of minutes before Sasha was able to shake off the surprise and mount a counter-offensive. Shedding her shoes and her hoodie, Sasha was able to get a two count following her double-knees in the corner. As Tonga threw her off the Bank Statement attempt, it was the wild Tongan for the rest of the match. Sasha kicked out of a couple of big power moves, but when Tapa hit the Tongan Drop, it was all over. As a beaten Sasha watched Tonga and AJ walk away, AJ smiled back, mouthing “24 days” back to her.
Tonga Tapa defeated Sasha Banks with the Tongan Drop in 05:25 Rating: ****
A Knightly pep-talk A video airs of Serena packing her things and preparing to leave the arena. As she does, she is stopped by Saraya Knight, who asks Serena what she’s doing with her career these days. It wasn’t too long ago they battled in cages for the world title. Now, she’s barely on iPPV’s, and if she is, she’s losing to someone who, quite frankly, has never been anything else but a pretty face. Serena asks what’s her point. Saraya says that she should end things with Sky and move back to where she belongs. At the top. As Knight leaves, Serena gazes after the women whose daughter Serena put out of the business, wondering what games Saraya is playing this time. Rating: ****¼
Show rating: ***½
Show notes: Sasha Banks’ super-special contract clauses never stops surprising AJ, but in 24 days, can Sasha defeat the unbeaten Tonga Tapa? Next week, Nattie will defend her World Title against Saraya Knight. Can Knight become a two-time world champion?

Fantastic circuit, and kudos for keeping it going so long. Glad to see Nattie Niedhart on top. A good mix of wrestlers, not just eye candy.

WWN - Saturday Night Showdown - 2016.06.11
Tonight is a big night here at WWN, as Nattie Neidhart defends against Saraya Knight. Mia Yim will also be in action against the former TV Champion, Ivelisse. But let’s go to the ring for our first match!
Kimberly vs Leva Bates Kimberly looked poised to get back up on her feet following the loss to Saraya at Pretty Amazing. She charged Leva before the match, not letting her get any breaks at all en route to an impressive win. She looked better than in a long time as well, so maybe the loss against Saraya helped her see things in perspective.
Kimberly defeated Leva Bates with a tornado DDT in 01:42 Rating: *
AJ’s headache A video airs of a chaotic atmosphere inside AJ Mendez’ office. She is backed by her two security guards, Tonga Tapa and Jessica Havock. In front of her, bickering and arguing amongst themselves are Young Contenders, Sisters of No Mercy and the tag team champions, LuKana. Donna Lee claims that they should be next in line for another attempt at the tag team titles. Athena points out that they really haven’t accomplished anything except a lucky win against the Sisters of No Mercy. LuFisto says that it doesn’t matter who they fight, they’re gonna beat them all. Kana just smiles wickedly. AJ quiets them down, and tells LuFisto that if she really thinks they can beat them both, they get to prove this next week in a triple threat match for the WWN Tag Team Titles. Rating: *¾
Something in the air We see a video of SoCal Val trying to convince Heidi to hire her as manager. She points to the fact that Mia Yim’s career is in better shape than ever, thanks to her. If Heidi wants to have better matches, more opportunities and better paid, she should consider representation. Heidi asks if the offer is true for Donna as well. After all, she is the Queen of the Ring. Val says she’ll think about it. Mia Yim walks by, reminding Val about her match later. As she walks by, Heidi smiles and mutters a ‘hello’. Val looks puzzled, and asks Heidi if she’s blushing. Heidi laughs it off, saying that it’s nothing. It’s just.. well.. Mia is pretty hot and all that. Val is lucky to represent her. Heidi says she’ll think about her offer, and walks off. Val doesn’t quite know how to react, but a smile appears on her face as an idea forms in her head. Rating: **
Jessica Havock vs Sarona Snuka After finally giving up besting both AJ Mendez and Tonga Tapa, Havock adopted a “if you can’t beat them, join them” mentality. After that, the victories have been sweet and the pay even more so. Last week she pinned a former world champion in the middle of the ring, and this week she took on another big powerhouse. Sarona was outmatched for most of the battle, and couldn’t make the 10-count after Havock’s relentless beating on the outside. A countout victory isn’t considered as prestigous as a pinfall or a submission, but Havock didn’t seem to care. In fact, she seemed a little apathic in the ring, and barely lifted har arm in victory.
Jessica Havock defeated Sarona Snuka via countout in 04:15 Rating:**
Nightmare vacation A video airs of Sasha Banks taking a day off visiting the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia. You see her in various activities around the city, before finally coming back to her hotel room, her hands busy carrying all kinds of shopping bags. She stops in her tracks as she sees AJ Mendez sitting in a chair in the room. Sasha is rarely surprised or fazed, but even she is at a loss for words now. AJ gets up, asking Sasha if she has enjoyed her unauthorized absence from work? Oh, wait, she says. She has in her contract a day off every quarter. The best contract in the business, for the best wrestler in the business, isn’t that right? Either way, she probably needed it after the beating Tapa gave her last week. Sasha calls AJ psychotic for stalking her like this and breaking into her hotel room. And why isn’t she at the show herself? AJ says that she cannot ask that question of her, she is her superior! With that, a huge shadow comes out of the bathroom and clubs Sasha in the banks. Tonga Tapa keeps on attack, throwing Sasha’s small frame across the hotel room and finally through a table. Lying bloody, brutalized and broken in a pile of debris and glass, Sasha looks up and sees the big Tongan holding up her TV Title. AJ takes the belt and drapes it over Sasha, telling the TV Champion that she has already called for an ambulance. And if she knows what’s best for her, she won’t show up until the title match in two weeks. Rating:***¾
Ivelisse vs Mia Yim w/SoCal Val Mia might have come up short against “the Boss” for the TV Title, but with Val’s representation, Mia has been noticed by both fans and management alike. Her styles meshes well with Ivelisse’s, and the two exchanged both rest holds, throws and kicks in order to pick up the W. A stiff kick to the side of the head followed by an impressive twisting moonsault from the top gave Mia the victory - keeping her momentum strong despite the loss at Pretty Amazing.
Mia Yim defeated Ivelisse with the Sky Yim in 05:33 Rating:**¾
Good luck As Saraya Knight walks backstage, lost in her own mind as she’s preparing for her World Title Match tonight against Nattie, the champion stops her, extending her hand and saying good luck. Saraya looks around suspiciously, asking Nattie where she has hidden her stooge and bodyguard. Nattie says she doesn’t need RD and Taya to run her life, and she doesn’t need them to retain her championship. They won’t be an issue tonight. Saraya nods, saying that she hopes that will be the case. Rating: ***¾
More bullying As Bully Ray and Bully Sky enter a coffe shop together, they spot Serena sitting nearby. They stop by her, taunting her and asking if she was drinking a cup of loser tea. Serena slams her hand down on the table, reminding both of them that one day prior to Pretty Amazing, she defeated Bully Sky. This makes them equal in her eyes. She deliberately avoids talking to Ray, addressing every remark to Sky. Look at them, they’ve both won gold here. Now, they’re bickering like school girls, not the veterans they should behave as. She storms of as Ray scoffs at her outburst. Sky doesn’t seem so categorical, and Serena’s message must have given her food for thought. Rating: *¼
Nattie Neidhart (c) w/RD Evans vs Saraya Knight for the WWN World Title The WWN World Champion is used to winning wrestling matches. Whether it has been against Ashley Flair, Awesome Kong or Sasha Banks. She can outwrestle them all, submit them, pin them, you name it. But this wasn’t a wrestling match, this was a fistfight! Nattie practically refused to even consider the idea of a lock-up or wristlock, and started swinging her hard rights from the get-go. For a while there, fear was evident on Nattie’s face. The veteran wasn’t interested in a wrestling contest, she was here for the brawl! This didn’t mean that no wrestling moves were used, as Saraya pinned her down for 2 following a sitout power bomb. Even with her battles against Flair, she never had this look on her face. This look of fear and the realization that the WWN Title might slip away. When Saraya finally locked Nattie in the Bridal Rocking Chair, RD Evans entered the ring and kicked Knight in the back. The pin was broken up, but Nattie suffered a DQ loss. The belt still resides with the Canadian.
Saraya Knight defeated Nattie Neidhart by disqualification in 09:04 Rating: **¼
The Wrath of the Knight While RD’s kick was enough to break the pin, it wasn’t enough to keep Saraya down. The solicitor got to taste Saraya’s fury after this, and even if he managed to push her away, he was unceremoniously clotheslined over the top by Saraya. Taya came running in to attack Saraya, but she stopped her with a kick to the gut and a power bomb. As she rolled Taya out of the ring, Nattie was poised with the title belt, ready to strike. Saraya turned around suddenly and shouted “boo” to Neidhart, causing her to drop the belt and roll out of the ring. Nattie grabbed the belt and retreated to the back alongside RD and Taya. This cannot be the last we’ve seen of Saraya in the title picture. Rating: ****½
Show rating: **¾
Show notes: Saraya Knight has proven to be a bigger challenge to Nattie’s reign than the champion anticipated. What will be the fallout of this disqualification verdict? Tune in next week, when LuKana defends their tag team titles against both Young Contenders and Sisters of No Mercy!

WWN - Saturday Night Showdown - 2016.06.18
Welcome to Saturday Night Showdown! Tonight, it’s the biggest challenge yet for LuKana, as they face both Sisters of No Mercy and Young Contenders at the same time in a triple threat match!
Which way do you swing? Backstage, Mia Yim is checking her Instagram account, when her agent, SoCal Val comes by, sits down behind and starts rubbing her neck. Mia says it’s just what she needed. Val keeps doing it, saying that even if she has represented her a while, she doesn’t really know her. Does she have a boyfriend? Girlfriend? Mia laughs, and says she has a boyfriend. As Val’s massage starts getting a little too low, Mia jumps up and asks Val if she’s trying to hit on her. Val says she’s not, but that she has a plan. A plan that will bring gold around her waist. It only needs a little bit of sacrifice on Mia’s part. Just pretend that she’s back in college where everyone experimented. Mia doesn’t look too sure, but Val reminds her about the prize at the end, and Mia asks to hear the plan. Rating: ****¼
Amber Gallows vs Ashley Flair For the daughter of “the Nature Boy”, not winning the World Title must eat away at her at every opportunity. Now, she has to reboot and start all over. In this short match, local girl Amber got schooled and quickly tapped out to the Figure Eight.
Ashley Flair defeated Amber Gallows with the Figure Eight in 01:48 Rating: **
How are you, dear? We see a video of a beat up Sasha Banks lying in a hospital bed with her arm in a cast. She has black eye and stitches beneath her eye. She turns towards the door as AJ Mendez comes in, Tonga Tapa right behind her. Sasha frantically presses the button to call the nurse, but AJ just smiles and says that the nurse is out on her cigarette break now. Besides, they are not here to harm her further. Just to bring a friendly warning that her time in WWN has come to an end. Next week, she will come to the ring and forfeit her title due to her injuries. Then it’s bye bye. Sasha tells AJ that it doesn’t matter what the doctors tell her, she will be there to fight that gorilla of hers. But if Tonga actually manages to pin or submit her, she will leave of her own volition. AJ thinks about it, then says it’s actually more fulfilling for her to see her defeated just one more time. Tonga leaves a bouquet of flowers before they both leave. Rating: ****½
Good luck! We see Heidi Lovelace stretching backstage, preparing for her big title match tonight. Mia Yim comes by, claps Heidi on the back and wishes her good luck. Heidi is a little surprised and embarrassed, but manages to stutter a ‘thanks’. Mia says she’ll be watching, and walks on. Donna Lee comes by, asking what’s that all about. Heidi says she doesn’t know. Rating: *
Bully Sky w/Bully Ray vs Ivelisse Sky is riding high after her win over Serena at Pretty Amazing, and both the crowd and Ivelisse got to hear it during tonight’s bout. Ivelisse had a near-fall quite early on after a scorpion kick, but Bully Ray put Sky’s leg on the ropes. Ivelisse got distracted jaw-jacking with Ray, and Sky took control, eventually hitting the pedigree.
Bully Sky defeated Ivelisse with the In Yo Face in 03:04 Rating: ***
I’m not a has been! After the match, Sky grabbed the microphone, telling the crowd that she is sick of everyone comparing her to Serena. Yes, they’ve both been in the business a long time, but unlike Serena, Sky actually wins her iPPV matches. This brings out Serena, who says that the real difference between the two of them is that Serena is a former world champion, while Sky’s only gold has been tag titles where her partner has carried the team forward. Sky denies being the weak link of their tag team and challenges Serena to find a partner of her own and face Sky and her partner in two weeks’ time! Rating: ***
Sarita vs Saraya Knight This was a match of polar opposites. The streetwise brawling skills of Saraya put up against the lucha-inspired technical style of Sarita. The Brit feels robbed of her World Title, and unfortunately for the Canadian, she was in the way in tonight’s match. Still, she managed to put Saraya in a couple of rest holds and submissions, but Knight had no intentions of giving it up. In fact, it was Knight who managed to wriggle out of a chickenwing attempt, turning Sarita on her stomach and locking in the Bridal Rockin Chair for the verbal submission.
Saraya Knight defeated Sarita when Sarita submitted to the Bridal Rockin Chair in 04:59 Rating:*
Nattie losing it We see a video of the world champion, Nattie Neidhart, really giving it to Taya and RD Evans backstage. She accuses them of making a fool not only of themselves, but more importantly, of her. Saraya routed them completely. Taya makes a stand, saying that she didn’t come here to be her bodyguard, she came her to make her own fortune. Nattie grabs her by her throat and pushes her up against the wall. The former body-builder struggles against her fellow Canadian’s strength. Nattie says that if she’s unhappy with her role, she can take that flea-infested bus from Mexico that she came in on, and get out. RD separates them, telling Nattie that Taya may still help her while making her own fortune. Next week, she will take on Saraya Knight. Nattie nods satisfied, while Taya looks shocked and surprised. She clearly didn’t know about this! Rating: **
LuKana (c) vs Sisters of No Mercy vs Young Contenders for the WWN World Tag Team Titles Only two women in the ring at once during this one, where the first pinfall decided the winner. Neither LuFisto or Kana had to be pinned for the titles to change hands. Heidi and the Queen of the Ring, Donna Lee, was close in the start to pulling off an upset by hitting Kana with a double team move, but Athena broke it up. The Sisters were ruthless and methodical when dismantling The Young Contenders, but got in more trouble when the champs were involved. LuKana is simply too fast for Kong to handle, and Athena is just too angry all the time to be thinking straight. And when the Sisters were finally on the offense, Donna Lee tagged herself in. She quickly went for the Yoshitonic on LuFisto, but she was too close to the ropes and Kana tagged herself in and dragged Lee down. As LuFisto ran over and knocked down the Sisters, Kana rolled up Donna for the quick win.
LuKana (LuFisto & Kana) defeated Young Contenders (H. Lovelace & D. Lee) and Sisters of No Mercy (Kong & Athena) when Kana pinned Lee after a roll up in 09:20 Rating:*** (LuKana retained their WWN World Tag Team Titles in their 7th title defense)
The Wrath of the Sisters As Young Contenders left the ring area, LuKana celebrated and the Sisters of No Mercy bickered on the outside. Athena pushed her sister away, and big Kong retaliated in kind. The champions went outside to try and cool things down, LuFisto telling them to put the loss behind them - family. Cooler heads look like they prevail as Kana and LuFisto start to walk out. It seems that the sisters are on the same page… on the page where LuKana is not! The champs are clubbed down from behind. Kana is tossed into the guardrail while LuFisto is slammed into the ring steps. A superkick from Athena sends Kana down for the count. Kong and Athena pulls forth a table which they set up on the outside. Kong powerbombs LuFisto through the table! The show ends as The Sisters of No Mercy hoist the WWN Tag Team Titles over their heads. Rating: ***¼

Show notes: A dramatic episode of Showdown to say the least! And next week promises to be even more dramatic as a severely injured Sasha Banks is set to take on Tonga Tapa for the TV Title, in a match where, if Sasha Banks is pinned or submitted, has to leave WWN forever!

WWN - Saturday Night Showdown - 2016.06.25
Welcome to another edition of Saturday Night Showdown! Tonight, Sasha Banks will defend her TV Title against Tonga Tapa, but is Sasha in any condition to fight? She has been to a hospital for tha past couple of weeks, suffering from broken bones following a reported fall down a flight of stairs. Also tonight, Saraya Knight will take on Taya.
Welcome to your doom As a wounded Sasha Banks grins of pain as she exits a cab in front of the personnel entrance of the WWN arena, she is met by AJ Mendez and Tonga Tapa. AJ welcomes her to her final day of work. Tonight, her championship will be around Tonga’s waist. She applauds Sasha for telling everyone that she fell down a flight of stairs though. She couldn’t have proven anything. Sasha says she’s not a snitch, and likes to handle her problems herself. Tonga says she’ll look forward to seeing how she’s handling this problem. Sasha guarantees Tonga she will leave tonight still the champion. Tonga laughs at this, while AJ seems worried. What possible play can Sasha do now? Rating: *
Superheroes at work The black and white clad superhero team The Roses are in full gear as they discover a car being parked illegally on a handicap parking spot. They discover that the car is unlocked, and with practiced skill, Black Rose then hotwires the car and parks it somewhere else. Satisfied that a good deed has been done, they walk away. Just then, a parking guard stops in front of the car and starts writing a ticket. Rating: ***¾
Donna Lee vs Mia Yim w/So Cal Val Heidi Lovelace joined the commentary team on this one, commenting that she looked forward to a clean fight between two good friends. She has known both for years, and while she has a partnership going on with Donna right now, she’s also hanging out with Mia all the time. Heidi almost seem giddy as she talks about Mia. SoCal Val looks amused over at Heidi as she goes on about Mia. The match is a decent back and forth encounter between two up-and-comers in WWN. It could have gone either way, but tonight it’s Mia who rolls up Donna, pulls the tights and secures the victory.
Mia Yim defeated Donna Lee with a roll-up in 06:48 Rating: *½
A partnership formed A video is shown of Serena approaching Sarita and asking her to tag with her against Bully Sky and her partner next week. Sarita says she’s in. Someone needs to knock the Bullies back a notch or two. Rating: **
Sisters of No Mercy vs The Roses Prior to the match, Athena grabs the mic and says she just got a ticket parking in front of a parking hydrant. The parking guard had told her that two clowns in white and black costumes had parked there. White Rose says she would have gotten a ticket anyway due to parking in a handicap parking spot. Awesome Kong tells them that after tonight, they will surely have a permit for parking in a handicap spot!
The Roses may have had good intentions, but their actions resulted in quite the beating from the Sisters of No Mercy, who, true to their name, showed no mercy against the superheroines. The Roses controlled Athena for a short period of time, White Rose hitting her White Suplex followed by Black Rose’s Black Frog Splash. Other than that, it was all about the sisters, who finished Black Rose off with the No Mercy Bomb.
Sisters of No Mercy (Athena & Awesome Kong) defeated The Roses (Black Rose & White Rose) when Athena pinned Black Rose after the No Mercy Bomb in 05:20 Rating: ***
Whose side are you on? A video airs of Donna Lee confronting Heidi Lovelace about what took place earlier tonight. She heard that Heidi sat there praising Mia throughout the match, what’s that about? Heidi defends herself, saying that she praised both of them! It’s no reason why they cannot all be friends? Donna says that her “friend” is a cheater and pulled her tights. Heidi says it must’ve been an accident, Mia is good enough without having to cheat. Donna then asks if Heidi feels Mia is better than her? Heidi says Donna is twisting her words. Donna shakes her head and moves off. Rating: **¼
Saraya Knight vs Taya w/RD Evans While Saraya’s main target remains WWN World Champion Nattie Neidhart, she didn’t mind grappling with RD Evans’ other client, Taya. Taya’s size, strength and fortitude allowed her to better weather the brutal brawling Saraya normally inflicts on her opponents. Saraya has other skills, however, and showed her British background perfectly as she appled all sorts of intricate locks and holds on the body-builder. RD Evans tried to get involved by tripping up Knight, but the veteran saw it coming and booted the solicitor in the face instead. Taya took advantage of this, but Knight countered a powerbomb attempt with a backdrop and delivered her own version of it to win the bout.
Saraya Knight defeated Taya with a sitout powerbomb in 06:57 Rating: **¼
Sisters of No Mercy demands a rematch In AJ’s office, Sisters of No Mercy demands a new title match against LuKana. They claim they are the only viable contenders for the tag team titles, and will prove worthy of being champions. AJ says they’ve already failed a couple of times in proving just that. However, LuFisto is pretty upset about them putting her through a table. AJ then informs the Sisters that they will get another shot at Tropic Tumble in July - in a Full Metal Mayhem match! Tables, ladders, chairs, garbage cans… all are legal! Rating: *¾
Sasha Banks (c) vs Tonga Tapa w/AJ Mendez - WWN TV Title Match / If Sasha loses by pinfall or submission, she must quit WWN
Tonga and AJ were quite certain of victory as they awaited Sasha in the ring. The champ limped down, her back, arm and hips hurting with every move, her face wining of pain. As she entered the ring, we see that she’s carrying a microphone. Sasha says that while she DID say she was no snitch, she is also known to lie on occasions. Like now. AJ smiles, saying that it doesn’t matter. She cannot prove anything. As several uniformed police officers come from backstage, Sasha admits that she cannot prove Tonga attacked her, both video surveillance and witness reports saw that Tonga was in Georgia, clearly violating her parole conditions, where she is banned from leaving the state of Florida without notifying the authorities. They are here to take Tonga in for questioning. As Tonga charges Sasha, the officers get in the way and hold her back. AJ tries to persuade the police officer in charge to wait two minutes for the match to finish, but the officer says that they are on the clock, and cannot wait. As Tonga is dragged away from the ring in handcuffs, AJ grabs the mic.
AJ says that it’s still 30 days since Sasha’s last title shot, so she’s claiming a title shot for herself!
AJ Mendez vs Sasha Banks (c) for the WWN TV Title As AJ was shouting for the referee to get back into the ring and ref the match, Sasha unstrapped the belt from around her waist, clutching it in her good arm. The ref slid into the ring, and turned towards the timekeeper to signal for the bell. At that exact moment, Sasha struck, hitting AJ with the belt. Sasha grimaced in pain, but still managed to hold AJ’s shoulders down for the 3-count. This must be the fastest title match in WWN history!
Sasha Banks defeated AJ Mendez by pinfall in 00:07 Rating: ***¼ (Sasha Banks retained the WWN TV Title in her 4th title defense)
Forgot about me? As Sasha was handed her belt, Mia Yim slid into the ring and hit a superkick on Sasha. “The Boss” stumbled, and was knocked down with the Kick Me Goodnight. Mia ascended the turnbuckles and hit the Sky Yim on the already injured Sasha. As the credits rolled over the screen, Yim shouted at Banks while pointing at herself. “Have you forgotten about me, Sasha? Huh?!” Rating: **¾
Show rating: **¾
Show notes: Yet again, Sasha Banks manages to use her tactical genius to escape the wrath of AJ. How long can she dodge the huge Tongan? Next week, we’ll see who Bully Sky’s new tag team partner is. Rumor has it - she has never been in WWN before!

WWN - Saturday Night Showdown - 07.02.2016
Welcome to a new edition of Showdown! The summer heat is upon us and the wrestling action in WWN is better than ever!
AJ has a grand announcement We see a video of Josh Matthews getting his makeup done before tonight’s show. As he does, he gets a rare visit from the general manager herself, AJ Mendez. AJ tells Josh that tonight, he will get the honor of announcing a battle royal. The winner of that battle royal will be in action later tonight, as she faces Nattie Neidhart for the WWN Title. It has been too boring for a long time here, it’s time to spice things up! Rating: ****
13-woman battle royal Thirteen hopeful women clashed together here in the hopes of landing a shot at the WWN World title later tonight. Nattie Neidhart joined the announce team, proclaiming that she didn’t care who she would face, the championship would remain around her waist. It wasn’t too much room to move, but after a couple of minutes, several had been evicted from the ring. The Sisters of No Mercy crashed together with LuKana, and while their focus was on each other, other members of the battle royal hoisted the teams from the ring. They didn’t seem to care much though, and brawled out of the arena. Donna Lee then superkicked Sarona Snuka over the ropes, but was caught unawares by Mia Yim just after. As Heidi Lovelace tried to calm an irate Lee, Mia Yim dumped Heidi out of the ring too!
Mia’s joy was short-lived, as Jessica Havock press-slammed her out on top of Donna and Heidi. She happened to roll on top of Heidi, and seemed to linger there, much to the irritation of Donna, who tore Mia off of Heidi. The three of them continued to bicker as they were escorted out by referees. Kimberly was next, courtesy of Ashley Flair.
Final four: Flair, Saraya Knight, Jessica Havock and Taya. At the announce table, D’Angelo Dinero commented that it could be interesting to see Nattie face RD Evans’ other client, Taya. Nattie refused to comment on that, and suddenly the announcers were more interested in what was happening in the ring! Kimberly was back in the ring, clubbing down Ashley Flair from behind and throwing her over the ropes. Ashley Flair is eliminated!
Taya now tried to enlist Saraya Knight’s services in taking out Jessica Havock, but Saraya turned on Taya immediately, and threw her over the ropes. As Havock and Knight circled each other, Saraya sent a message to Nattie at the announce booth that they would meet tonight. Knight and Havock started brawling, both being close to eliminate each other. As Knight had J-Hav halfway pushed over the ropes, Nattie Neidhart jumped up from the announce table and up on the apron. She grabbed Knight with one hand while helping Havock stay in the ring. Knight was pulled over and hit the floor with both feet. Nattie irish-whipped Knight into the guardrail, smiling mischievously at her. In the ring, Havock was announced the winner. She warned Neidhart that this was a stupid mistake on her part, but a welcome mistake for Havock.
Jessica Havock won a 13-woman Battle Royal in 07:38 Rating: **
Ready for war! A video airs of Serena and Sarita preparing for war tonight against Bully Sky and her mystery partner. Serena is certain that Sky will find a blonde dimwit like herself. All looks and no brains. Rating: **¼
Implements of war Another video airs, this time of Sisters of No Mercy. Athena and Kong walk backstage, in a room where ladders, tables, chairs and trash-cans are placed. Athena shakes a ladder while Kong kicks a garbage can. They laugh and say that in a few weeks, not only will the WWN World tag Team Championship be theirs, LuKana will forever be marked by the pain they will inflict upon them using these tools of destruction. These weapons of no mercy! Rating: *½
Sitdown with “the Boss” D’Angelo Dinero has a sitdown with the TV Champion Sasha Banks. Her injuries are still showing, but she guarantees the Pope she will be back in action pretty soon. And when she does, AJ would see she couldn’t mess with “the Boss”. That Tongan monstrosity almost killed her. And just when she thought she had outsmarted all her enemies, Mia Yim shows up, superkicking her jaw in. Well, that’s life for the champion. Dinero asks her if she thinks her methods are fair? Sasha scoffs, saying that all is fair in wrestling. Her idol, the late Eddie Guerrero, didn’t fight “fair” either, but the people still loved him. It’s all about doing it with sass and style. Taking a loss in stride and with humor, not like that crybaby of a general manager. Rating: **½
Serena & Sarita vs The New Beautiful People w/Bully Ray The veterans soon found out who Sky’s partner was, as Bully Ray announced the formation of The NEW Beautiful People. Her new partner - Alexa Bliss! Alexa drew quite the jeers from the fans who clearly knew who she was. Small in stature, feisty in nature and with ring smarts far beyond her years. Alexis is an acrobatic one, hitting Sarita with a standing moonsault, planting the knees in her midsection. When Serena and Sarita looked to be back in control, Bully Ray pulled his girlfriend out of the corner, causing Serena to crash and burn into the ringpost with a spear. Alexis finished off Serena with a side moonsault called Twisted Bliss
The New Beautiful People (Bully Sky & Alexa Bliss) defeated Serena and Sarita when Alexis pinned Serena after the Twisted Bliss in 07:19 Rating: ¾*
We are ready! Backstage, LuFisto and Kana are inside the same room that the Sisters of No Mercy were in earlier tonight. Kana simply walks around with a big grin on her face as she inspects the metal weapons lying around. LuFisto smiles too, saying that in the early days of her career, she put people through tables, got slammed on top of thumbtacks and was hit by steel chairs on a regular basis. Though she has aged, but aged well, it’s been a while since she’s said hi to her old friends. Kana picks up a bag of thumbtacks, pouring them out on the floor in front of LuFisto. In broken English, she says “Hallo, old friends” to the tacks. Rating: ***½
A Beautiful Resurrection Backstage, Bully Sky and Alexa Bliss celebrate their win. Sky says that it has been too long since WWN has had a dose of the Beautiful People. With Alexa here, this promises to be the most powerful iteration of the famous tag team in history. Alexa says she’s here for two things. Winning the WWN Tag Team Titles and ridding WWN for ugly people, one wrestler at a time. Bully Ray comes over, puts his big arms around the girls and tells them to whip out the beer and the champagne - the party is on! Rating: ****¼
Let us solve your problem Inside AJ Mendez’ office, SoCal Val and AJ are sipping at a glass of sparkling wine as Mia Yim paces behind them. Mia’s patience is running thin, and she demands to know why she cannot face Sasha for the TV Title. Val echoes her sentiment, telling AJ that they will be happy to take care of her little problem. AJ says she appreciated Mia taking out Banks last week, but unfortunately, her contract is ironclad. And apparently, the travesty of a title match that ended with Sasha blatantly cheating to defeat her, counted as her “once per month” clause. AJ cannot give her a match until Tropic Tumble, but she would be glad to do so then. Val tells her she won’t regret it. She and Mia have a plan to ensure that nothing goes wrong. Val smiles while Mia rolls her eyes. Val tells Mia that they all need to make some sacrifices in order to reach their goals. Rating: ****½
Nattie Neidhart (c) w/RD Evans vs Jessica Havock for the WWN World Title Now, while Havock is both taller, heavier and stronger than Nattie, this kind of opponent is not unfamiliar territory for the champion. Awesome Kong was the biggest, baddest bitch in WWN before Nattie knocked her down and took the world title. Still, she was too heavy to lift and difficult to get to the ground. Working over her back to set up for the Sharpshooter was done by kicks and clubbing forearms, but it took too long. Havock had several opportunities to put Neidhart away, both with a spinebuster and an Air Raid Crash. Neidhart’s resilience is legendary though, and aided by RD on the outside, her foot found the ropes. Jessica made the mistake of going to the turnbuckles to try and hit a splash. RD distracted her long enough for Nattie to regain her bearings and roll away, causing Havock to crash and burn. Havock was quick on her feet, only to be taken down by a discus lariat. Nattie cinched in the Sharpshooter, and with nowhere to go, Havock tapped out.
Nattie Neidhart defeated Jessica Havock by submission with the Sharpshooter after 09:34 Rating: **¾ (Nattie Neidhart retained the WWN World Title in her 8th title defense)
Show rating: ***¼
Show notes: Nattie Neidhart is still the WWN World Champion, but for how long can she escape the challenge of Saraya Knight? Catch us next week to find out!

WWN - Saturday Night Showdown - 07.09.2016
Welcome to WWN! D’Angelo Dinero and Josh Matthews start by hyping the return of Ultimate X at Tropic Tumble. Qualification matches for that legendary match will start tonight. The winner will receive a contract for a guaranteed title shot. Also Saraya Knight will face Heidi Lovelace in tonight’s main event.
Love is in the air A video airs of Heidi Lovelace and Mia Yim taking a stroll in a park. Heidi talks about her match against Saraya, saying that Knight has always intimidated her. Mia tells her to be strong and brave, and that she’s certain she will pull it off. Heidi the apologizes for Donna’s behavior last week in the battle royal, saying she doesn’t know what went into her. Mia says she might be jealous because they spend so much time together. Heidi scoffs, saying that she spends time with whoever she wants. Mia smiles and asks Heidi if she wants to go out and grab some dinner after tonight’s show. And perhaps a movie? Heidi says she’ll love to. Mia says ‘it’s a date’, and Heidi blushes. Rating: ***¼
LuKana vs D’Arcy Dixon & Lexia Avery - non title match The champions know very well that in a few weeks’ time, their reign will be tested in a whole other way as The Sisters of No Mercy challenge them in a Full Metal Mayhem match. Win or lose, their bodies and souls will be scarred for all eternity. They had little trouble dispatching the two local competitors, LuFisto finishing it off with the Burning Hammer LuKana defeated Dixon & Avery when LuFisto pinned Avery after the Burning Hammer in 02:41 Rating: ¾*
A taste of what’s to come As the champions posed in the ring, Kong and Athena struck. As Athena distracted them, Kong snuck inside the ring with a trash can, bashing them both in the back. LuFisto fell out of the ring, where Athena gave her a beating, slamming her onto the steel steps. Inside the ring, Kong pummeled Kana, giving her the Awesome Bomb on top of the trash can. Athena then pulled forth a bag of tacks, spreading them on the canvas. Security ran in and stopped them before any more damage could be done. Rating: *
I’m on to you A video airs of SoCal Val talking on the phone. As Donna Lee blocks her path, she hangs on. Val puts on a smile and asks how the Queen of the Ring is doing tonight? Donna tells her to cut the crap. She doesn’t know what they’re up to, but it’s something. Mia has a boyfriend, she is not into girls! Val feigns ignorance, saying that she doesn’t know what Lee is talking about. Is she not allowed to have female friends? Besides, so what if someting would happen. Who is she to stand in the way of their happiness. For someone who clearly has a thing for Heidi, can't she see the attraction? Donna warns Val about hurting Heidi’s feelings before storming off. Rating: ***¼
Kimberly vs White Rose /w Black Rose WWN’s resident superhero team hasn’t had much of luck lately, but White Rose sought to correct this by knocking of Kimberly in their bout tonight. It’s no doubt that the Roses are having fun in their matches, often on their enemies’ expense, but sometimes it can cost them too. When White Rose had the upper hand in this one, her fan courting often gave Kimberly the chance to recover. While her status in the WWN hierarchy has dipped lately, Kimberly knows she just need to rack up the wins in order to get back into title contention. Tonight brought her one step closer.
Kimberly defeated White Rose with the Shuttel 151 in 06:05 Rating: ***¼
I’m not so sure about this.. In a dark corner of the WWN arena, Mia voices her opinion on Val’s plan. She is not comfortable with what’s happening. She’s 100 % straight, and this fake courting of someone who’s not, is troubling her. The only one appreciating it, is her stupid boyfriend who hopes for one of his fantasies to come true. Val tells Mia to keep it up until Tropic Tumble. If they follow her plan, she will walk out of that show the TV Champion. She couldn’t do it on her own, so they would have to get help where they can. Mia asks why they simply couldn’t pay someone. Val says this is far cheaper. Rating: *
Donna Lee vs Tonga Tapa - Ultimate X Qualifier On commentary, Dinero said that if she wins this one, she must be considered the favorite to win the Ultimate X match. She might be tall enough to pick down the contract without climbing! After being locked up for a week’s time following her arrest two weeks ago, Tonga was in a foul mood. She couldn’t get to the one who ratted her out to her parole officer, but Donna was a fine substitute for Sasha Banks tonight. The Queen of the Ring’s momentum has effectively stopped after winning the tournament, and defeating the unbeaten Tonga would surely get her stock to rise. Unfortunately for her, Tapa remains undefeated.
Tonga Tapa defeated Donna Lee with a lariat after 04:50 Rating: ***¼
We’re not done A video airs of Bully Sky and Alexa Bliss walking backstage sticking notes on trainers and caterers. The sticky notes read HOT and NOT. Most (if not all) gets a NOT sticker on them. Road Agent Billy Gunn is the sole exception, and he thanks the ladies and gives them a little ass shake in appreciation. Bliss promptly changes his sticker to NOT. They are then confronted by Serena who admits that Sky is a better tag wrestler than her. But that does not mean they’re done with each other. She has already talked to AJ Mendez, and at Tropic Tumble it will be Bully Sky vs Serena, one on one. And in the fairness of competition, both Ray AND Alexa will be banned from ringside. As Serena walks away, Sky looks nervous at the idea of fighting on her own. Rating: **
Heidi Lovelace vs Saraya Knight Nattie Neidhart joined the announce table for this one, commenting that Knight is old enough to be Heidi’s mother. Still, the mother went toe to toe with her younger opponent, using her brawling technique to great effect. Heidi is a great allround wrestler with a versatile style, and being no stranger to brawls or violent streetfights, she matched Saraya’s offense in the early goings. When a spinning headscissors from Lovelace sent Knight tumbling into the referee, Nattie Neidhart acted. She jumped in the ring with her belt, but before she could strike Saraya, Heidi hit a shining wizard. While the fans may love her, Saraya isn’t known for fighting fair and struck from behind. A power bomb was followed by a submission move, and when the referee came to, he saw Heidi’s limp form and called for the bell. The music was cut short as Saraya publicly challenged Nattie to a title match at Tropic Tumble. Nattie said she wouldn’t give her an answer without talking to her agent first, but when Saraya and the crowd started a ‘chicken chant’, Nattie gave in and said it was on! We have a title match at Tropic Tumble!
Saraya Knight defeated Heidi Lovelace when Lovelace passed out in the Rockin Bridal Chair after 08:12 Rating: ***
Home visit Back in Sasha Banks apartment, the Boss’ door bell rings and outside stands none other than AJ Mendez. Without getting an invitation, AJ strolled in, telling Sasha that as her employer, she needs to take a look to see how she is recovering from her injuries. She reminds Banks that she has a TV Title match against Mia Yim at Tropic Tumble. Sasha says she can put whoever she wants against her, the TV Title isn’t going anywhere. AJ tells Sasha that after Tonga Tapa wins the Ultimate X, she can go for any title she wants. Doesn’t have to be the World Title. So if Mia Yim isn’t up to the task, Sasha will have to go up against the unbeaten monster Tapa. Who, by the way, hates Sasha’s guts now. Banks says she’s defeated Tapa before, and will do so again. AJ suspects her sleeve of tricks are getting shorter and shorter every time, soon she will have to face her opponents on even terms. Sasha tells AJ to get out before she gets her ass kicked. AJ starts to laugh it off, but when she sees Sasha is serious, she retreats, telling her that she’ll see her soon. Rating: ***¼
Show rating: **½
Show notes: Looks like we have a couple more matches set for Tropic Tumble! Next week, the qualifiers for Ultimate X continues as Alexa Bliss faces Sarita and Heidi Lovelace goes one on one with Sarona Snuka!

WWN - Saturday Night Showdown - 07.16.2016
Welcome to Saturday Night Showdown! We are 8 days away from Tropic Tumble. Tonight, we will see who will join Tonga Tapa in the Ultimate X match. But first, let’s head to the ring where Kimberly is in action.
Jayme Jameson vs Kimberly Kimberly is still the same old angry self that she’s been for a while, but the clear psychotic tendencies seem to have abated. Still, it was a determined woman who completely dominated Jameson throughout this match. There is no doubt that Kimberly is on the way back to her former greatness.
Kimberly defeated Jayme Jameson with the Shuttle 151 in 02:58 Rating: ¼*
Kimberly not done Frustrated about her lack of big wins as of late, angry with the world who abandoned her when she needed it the most, she took out her frustrations on Jameson, pummeling her with fists and elbows. She lifted her up again for the Shuttle 151 when Ashley Flair ran in for the save. Flair let go of Jameson to handle Flair, but was leveled with a couple of clotheslines before rolling out of the ring, escaping to fight another day. She yelled at Ashley for sticking her nose into other people’s business. Rating: ½*
Doctor’s orders As a still bruised and injured (her arm is in a sling) Sasha Banks walks through the corridors, AJ Mendez comes towards her. Banks tries to move away, but Jessica Havock and Tonga Tapa block her path. AJ says that she’s not in any danger, after all, she’s her main event for the evening. Sasha doesn’t understand, she came in for a promo, she’s not a 100 % yet. AJ says that might be so, but the doctor has medically cleared her for in-ring action. Sasha asks what kind of doctor would do such a thing, and she demands to talk with her. AJ says it’s the official WWN company doctor. Havock smirks, saying she’s not here now, she is on holiday in the Caribbean. Sasha nods, asking rhetorically how she could afford that. AJ doesn’t seem to happy with Havock’s slip of tongue, but informs Sasha that she will be facing Mia Yim in the main event. Non-title of course. Rating: ****
Don’t forget who’s the boss AJ and her cohorts walk to her office, AJ scolding Havock for revealing, albeit indirectly, that they paid off the doctor. As they enter her office, Saraya Knight and Nattie Neidhart sit in opposite corners, looking at each other, but not speaking. AJ says it’s good they’re here. And apparently, it is good that she came to break the awkward silence. She wants to address last week, when Nattie gave away a title shot to Saraya. AJ reminds them that the only one giving away title shots, is her. Saraya protests, saying that she deserves another shot. Nattie puts her hands up, saying that she forgot her place and that it’s ok for her to drop it. AJ says that the match will be still be happening, just don’t let it happen again. Rating: *¾
Heidi Lovelace w/Donna Lee vs Sarona Snuka - Ultimate X Qualifier Donna Lee followed her good friend out to this match, cheering on her from the sidelines. Lovelace’s never-say-die attitude when faced with bigger and more powerful opponents is starting to become legendary. No matter what Snuka did, kicked, punched or slammed her, she kicked out of the pinfall attempt. Sarona started getting frustrated, and thereby sloppy. When she climbed up for the Superfly Splash, Heidi was far from out, and she easily rolled away. As Sarona got back to her feet, Heidi ran in with the Shining Wizard for the win.
Heidi Lovelace defeated Sarona Snuka with the Shining Wizard in 04:28 Rating: ***
Nattie not happy A video airs of Nattie and RD arguing backstage. Nattie yells at RD for not being in that meeting with her or for trying to get her out of the title match. RD said that he had a dentist’s appointment, besides, she was the one who wanted the title match in the first place. Nattie says she got carried away. RD calms Nattie down, telling her that she has to defend her title anyway. Why not against someone close to 50? Nattie says it’s easy for him to say, he’s not the one getting in the ring with that crazy Brit. When Nattie asks RD if he would dare face Saraya, he just waves his arms saying that this is not about him. This is about the greatest single champion of all time. And she WILL defeat Saraya come Tropic Tumble. Rating: **¾
Taya not happy As Nattie leaves the room, RD’s other client, Taya enters. She is not happy either. She claims that when she agreed to come to WWN, he promised to have time for two clients. Obviously not. She hasn’t done anything interesting other than helping Nattie win matches. RD says he’s aware of that, and that he has rectified the situation. Next week, she will be in a qualifying match for the Ultimate X match. Her opponent? One of those pesky super heroes. The black one. Black Rose. Taya smiles, saying that she’s looking forward to it. Rating: ***
Alexa Bliss w/Bully Sky vs Sarita - Ultimate X Qualifier The New Beautiful People made quite the impact two weeks ago, defeating Sarita and Serena in a tag match. Tonight, Alexa Bliss made her singles debut against one of them for who would go on to Tropic Tumble. Sarita may have years of experience on the small but spirited Bliss, who in addition had Bully Sky on the outside as a distracting factor. Sky must have warned Alexa about Sarita’s many submission maneuvers, as she scurried out of them whenever she was in the danger of being locked in them. Sarita has other tricks up her sleeves though, and when Bliss missed a standing moonsault, hurting her knee in the process, Sarita hit a tiger driver to advance to Ultimate X.
Sarita defeated Alexa Bliss with a Tiger driver in 05:38 Rating: ****¼
“War Queen” Mia Yim w/So Cal val vs Sasha Banks - non title match This match was not for the title, but maybe a preview of their title match at Tropic Tumble. Sasha’s shoulder was heavily taped for this bout, and the War Queen sought to take advantage of that immediately. Most of the moves in the early goings targeted the injured shoulder. Whenever Sasha was on the offensive, she grimaced in pain as she lifted or punched Yim. Sasha did manage to hit Mia with her double knees in the corner, but couldn’t hold on to her opponent when she hit the Bank Statement. A champion in pain could only watch as Mia’s foot connected to the side of her head. Good night.
Mia Yim defeated Sasha Banks with the Kick Me Goodnight in 07:18 Rating: *¾
Coup de grace As Mia celebrated, AJ Mendez came down the aisle with Tonga Tapa and Jessica Havock in tow. She congratulated Mia on the win, but wanted to make sure that Sasha was as injured (or worse) in eight days when the real match is on. Havock first hit a chokeslam on Banks before Tapa hit the Tongan Drop. Just as Mia was about to hit the Sky Yim from the top rope, Sarita, Heidi Lovelace, Donna Lee, Serena and the Roses hit the ring. As Tapa and Havock tried to defend themselves against the numbers, Heidi pleaded with Mia to get down from the turnbuckle, appealing to her good side. SoCal Val also told her to go down and let Sasha be. As AJ and her cohorts retreated, Mia was apologizing to Heidi as Donna Lee was watching it, clearly not buying it one bit. Rating:****

Show comments: We are only eight days away from Tropic Tumble. Eight days from Nattie Neidhart vs Saraya Knight, LuKana vs Sisters of No Mercy in Full Metal Mayhem for the WWN World Tag Team Titles, Mia Yim vs Sasha Banks for the TV Title and an Ultimate X match with a future World Title shot hanging in the balance. Next week we’ll see who the final participant in that match will be.

WWN - Saturday Night Showdown - 07.23.2016
We are just ONE night away from Tropic Tumble, the big event of the summer! Tonight, we’ll find out who’ll join Tonga Tapa, Heidi Lovelace and Sarita in Ultimate X. Tonight’s main even will feature three out of those four wrestlers, as Jessica Havock & Tonga Tapa faces Heidi Lovelace & Sarita.
Lexia Avery vs Nattie Neidhart w/RD Evans - non title match Nattie has a big challenge ahead of her tomorrow facing the former WWN World Champion. Tonight, she had a somewhat easy warm-up match, defeating local girl Avery with the Sharpshooter. Saraya Knight was on commentary during the match, guaranteeing Josh and the Pope that if Nattie for some reason should trap her in the Sharpshooter, she would never give up.
Nattie Neidhart defeated Lexia Avery when Avery submitted to the Sharpshooter after 01:41 Rating: *
Bully Sky ready for the rematch Backstage, Bully Sky prepares Alexa Bliss for her match against Serena tonight. Sky wants to make sure tomorrow’s match ends exactly like the one they had at Pretty Amazing. With a victory for her. Bliss promises that tonight’s match would end differently than her bout last week. In the background, Bully Ray tries to get in a word, but the girls’ chatter drowns him out. Eventually, he gives up and leaves. Rating: *¼
Spying on your employees Sasha Banks is seen walking the hallways talking on the phone. She tells someone that the plan for tomorrow is set in motion. Nothing can stop her from retaining the title. We see AJ Mendez lurking behind a corner. Sasha tells whoever she’s talking to that she is on her way now to discuss the final arrangements. As she walks out of the building, AJ pulls up her own car keys. She ponders on whether or not to follow, but in the end her curiosity gets the better of her, and she walks out the door as well. Rating: ***¼
You scratch my back… We see Heidi Lovelace in the locker room getting ready for her match later on. Mia Yim comes in and asks if Donna is here. Heidi says no. Mia says ‘good’, and gives Heidi a hug for good luck. She says she’s excited about her match tomorrow. Heidi hopes she wins. Yim coyly says that if she wins, she’ll be in a great mood. A mood where everything may happen. If she wins, she promises to take Heidi out on the town. And who knows what happens afterwards? But only if she wins.. She leaves Heidi wondering what she means by that. Rating: *
Where’s AJ? In AJ Mendez’ office, Tonga Tapa and Jessica Havock are searching for some kind of note as to where their boss is. Tonga says she tried calling her, but no reply. Havock suddenly finds AJ’s phone on her desk. Tonga wants to go looking for her, but Havock reminds her that they have a match soon and that AJ told them to win that one with any means necessary. Ashley Flair comes into the office looking for AJ. She wants a match for tomorrow night. Jessica says that she has the same problem - no match scheduled. Ashley says she’s game for anything. Tonga points out that neither of them have the authority to sign a match. Havock says she won’t mind. Besides, she’s the one sitting in the GM’s chair. Rating: *1/4
Alexa Bliss w/Bully Sky vs Serena Tomorrow night, Serena faces Sky in their rubber match. Tonight, the former WWN World Champion faces Sky’s partner in The New Beautiful People. Bliss was outwrestled and outpowered by the bigger Serena in the early goings, but the presence of Sky distracted Serena and allowed Bliss to gain some momentum. Taking her time jaw-jacking with the crowd before executing Twisted Bliss from the top rope was a rookie mistake, and it allowed Serena to hit the Spear for the win.
Serena defeated Alexa Bliss with the Spear after 05:18 Rating: ½* (Alexa Bliss tore her rotator cuff and will be out of action for 9 months).
Where are you going We see AJ Mendez driving downtown, following Sasha’s car from a respectful distance. AJ curses to herself, wondering where on Earth Sasha was leading her. This was far from a nice neighborhood. At a red light, a couple of prostitues approach the car, and AJ locks the door. We cut to where Sasha parks her car, walking down a dark alley. Despite being obviously scared, AJ stops too and follows her. Rating: ****¼
Black Rose w/White Rose vs Taya w/RD Evans - Ultimate X Qualifier This was your classic big woman vs small woman match. The agile and dextrous Black Rose used her speed to an advantage, while Taya tried to power her down. The fitness competitor slammed Rose easily when caught, but Rose quickly got back into it, dropping Taya with a tornado DDT for two. On the outside, RD bickered with White Rose, calling her stupid super-hero shenanigans for childish and unprofessional. RD got hit later on when Black Rose dove out, taking out both Taya and RD. In the end, it was Goliath who won this one, planting David firmly into the canvas with her swinging side slam.
Taya defeated Black Rose in 06:59 with the Swinging Side Slam Rating:***
Heidi Lovelace & Sarita vs Tonga Tapa & Jessica Havock Tapa and Havock don’t work together very well, but they’re big and powerful so teamwork is obviously not essential to their success. It’s also the first time Heidi and Sarita teams together, so we didn’t see the usual crisp action that we see in tag team matches. Sarita had to change strategy from a submission based game as both her opponents had too large joints to be targeted effectively. Heidi’s strike based game bore more fruits though, but she had to kick and punch an extra time or three to make an impact. A big boot from Tonga on Sarita sent her flying from the apron and into the guard rail. As she hoisted Lovelace for the Tongan Drop, Havock tagged herself in and stole the win with the Harlot Slayer. The duo was still bickering as Sarita and Heidi recovered, sending both of them out of the ring with dual drop kicks.
Tonga Tapa & Jessica Havock defeated Sarita & Heidi Lovelace when Havock pinned Lovelace after the Harlot Slayer in 09:05 Rating: ***¼
Cornered As the credits roll, we see AJ searching for Sasha in a darkened alley. Suddenly, several latino men approach her from several angles. They advance threateningly. AJ panics and pulls out something from her pocket. She screams that she will mace them. The men don sunglasses and leers at her. One of them tells her that she can scream as much as she’ll like, nobody will come to her aid. Another ones tells AJ to relax. They’re not going to hurt her. Not today. But if she continues to harass Sasha, they won’t be so gentle the next time they meet. The circle surrounding AJ parts, allowing her to run to her car and get away. Rating: **

WWN - Tropic Tumble VII - 07.24.2016
Welcome to the biggest women’s wrestling show of the summer! Tonight, all of the titles are on the line. History will be made as the WWN Tag Team Champions LuKana defend their titles against Sisters of No Mercy in a Full Metal Mayhem match.
But first, let’s go to the ring where the rig is set up for Ultimate X. The grand prize? A future world title shot!
Heidi Lovelace vs Sarita vs Taya w/RD Evans vs Tonga Tapa - Ultimate X Ultimate X has been a staple at many Tropic Tumble shows over the years, mostly being used to defend the TV Title. This year, the prize isn’t a title, but a guaranteed title shot. It quickly became apparent that the two big women created an alliance in the start, using their physique to bully Heidi and Sarita and dump them over the ropes. As Taya was climbing the cables, Tonga broke their fragile alliance by pulling her down. This was a crazy match, with Heidi jumping from the corner dragging Tonga down later. Taya proved to be a daredevil in her own right, wiping out all three opponents with a dive from the corner to the outside. Sarita was close to the contract late in the match, but Taya came from behind and kicked her in the back, causing her to fall. Taya looked poised to get the contract, but Heidi Lovelace came from behind and locked her legs around Taya’s waist. As they battled, Tonga climbed the cables from the opposite side. Heidi and Taya fell down, giving Tonga a clear path to the title shot.
Tonga Tapa defeated Lovelace, Sarita & Taya in Ultimate X by retrieving the contract in 08:42 Rating: ****
Ashley Flair vs Jessica Havock This match was signed off by Jessica Havock herself last night. Normally, AJ Mendez would freak out, but the word is that she was so upset about something happening last night that she has completely ignored it. Either way, this was a solid match between two top tier opponents that wants to prove themselves on the highest stage and perhaps move on to future title shots. Flair has had her technical battles with Nattie Neidhart, but against the brawny powerhouse, she also proved to her critics that she can bring a punching game. She even had Havock on the defensive with a series of rights. Havock might have regretted overstepping her boundaries and signing off to this match when Ashley locked in the Figure Eight. Desperately reaching for the ropes, but giving in eventually and tapping out.
Ashley Flair defeated Jessica Havock when Havock submitted to the Figure Eight in 08:10 Rating:***¾
Relax, we got this We see SoCal Val meeting with AJ Mendez in a dark corner of the arena. AJ nervously asks Val if she was followed. Val is perplexed, asking why somebody should follow her. AJ says that her life may be in danger, and that it is imperative that tonight’s screw job doesn’t come back to her. She will not be near Sasha tonight. Val tells her to relax. Mia will do the job, with or without their insurance policy. Rating: *¾
Bully Sky w/Bully Ray vs Serena Sky’s dream of a new glory period for The Beautiful People ended with the unfortunate accident and injury of Alexa Bliss. Her anger and fury was directed at Serena, but it was hasty and uncoordinated, allowing Serena to take the lead early on with a drop toe hold. Several of Serena’s move ended up with Bully taking a bump to the face, and Sky got more and more upset with what she might look like after this. Bully Ray got up on the apron to protest this treatment of his lovely girlfriend, and Sky took over after an illegal eye rake. Sky dominated Serena for a while, but she panicked and lost her temper when Serena kicked out of the In Yo Face. She started arguing with her boyfriend out on the apron, and when she turned around, she ate the spear from Serena.
Serena defeated Bully Sky with the Spear in 05:58 Rating: **¾
The champion is ready A pre-taped interview with Josh Matthews asking Nattie Neidhart about how she would approach this match against the veteran. RD corrects Josh, calling Knight a “senior citizen”, not a veteran. Nattie says that Saraya’s had her day, now it’s time for younger wrestlers to shine. Josh reminds them both that Saraya was WWN World Champ not a year ago. In fact, she defended the World Title at Tropic Tumble last year. Nattie calls Josh a nerd for knowing all this unnecessary wrestling trivia, while RD declares that the interview is over. Rating: **¾
LuKana (LuFisto & Kana) (c’s) vs Sisters of No Mercy (Athena & Kong) for the WWN Tag Team Titles in a Full Metal Mayhem match These four were making history with every chair shot, every crack of the garbage can and every move from the ladder done today. The weapons and implements were brought forward early. Athena tried to bring a ladder into the ring, but it was dropkicked right into her by LuFisto in the ring. The crazy Canadian veteran later put Kong up against a corner with a garbage can in her lap, flying at her with the cannonball. Kong pulled forth the tacks and tried to power bomb Kana into it, but the Japanese star reversed it and sent Kong flying into the tacks with a rana. Athena then hit her with an O-Face from the ladder, but couldn’t make the cover as Kana rolled out of the ring. Now, Kong has lost a lot of weight over the last few months, which could explain why LuFisto (strong as she is) actually managed to lift Kong up on her shoulders and hit a perfect Burning Hammer on Kong THROUGH a table. LuFisto covered Kong to get the victory.
LuKana defeated Sisters of No Mercy when LuFisto pinned Kong after a Burning Hammer in 14:25 Rating: *** (LuKana retained their WWN Tag Team Titles in their 8th title defense)
Sorry, sis As the triumphant and dominant tag team champions left the ring, Athena went over to revive her fallen sister. After spending a lot of time getting the wobbly-feeted Kong back to her feet, Athena turned away from her, covering her head in her hands. When she looked up, her face was filled with fury and hatred. To everyone’s surprise, she superkicked her half-sister right in the jaw! Kong looked surprised, but was still standing, so Athena superkicked her again. Kong stumbled, and Athena climbed halfway up the ladder, still in the ring, and jumped off with the O-Turn, stunning Kong and laying her out once again. Talk about a sore loser! This is her family we’re talking about! Rating: ***
Mia Yim w/So Cal Val vs Sasha Banks (c) for the WWN TV Title It has been several weeks now since Tonga Tapa’s merciless attack on Sasha. And even though she has been knocked out a time or two since then, Sasha has more or less recovered. A taped up shoulder being the only sign left of her previous injuries. Still, the challenger knew it was a weak spot, and targeted it from the get-go. Banks powered through the pain, knocking Mia loopy with a high knee in the corner. Yim had Banks well-scouted, tearing herself free from Sasha just as she was to hit the Bank Statement. Instead, Mia connected with the Kick Me Goodnight for a near fall. She went up high for the Sky Yim, but Sasha rolled away! At this point, someone dressed in a black hoodie came out to join Val - Heidi Lovelace! As Val distracted the referee, Heidi retrieved Sasha’s TV Title from the announce table. She was about to slide it into the ring when Donna Lee entered the ramp with a microphone, telling Heidi NOT to do it. This counter-distraction made the referee see Heidi with the belt. As he admonished her and stowed away the belt, Sasha poked Mia in the eyes and hit the double knee backstabber leading into the Bank Statement. Mia quickly submitted.
Sasha Banks defeated Mia Yim when Yim submitted to the Bank Statement in 10:48 Rating: *¼ (Sasha Banks retained the WWN TV Title in her 5th title defense)
Nattie Neidhart (c) w/RD Evans vs Saraya Knight for the WWN World Title This was a match for the ages. Even an intense brawler like Saraya knew not to blow her steam in the first minutes of the match. She refused to engage Nattie in a game of catch, a game she knew she would lose. Instead, she frustrated her by going for punches and chops at every opportunity, not allowing Nattie to lock up. And when Neidhart finally did, she was sore and raw from the beating she had been handed. Someone with Saraya’s British wrestling background is no slouch in the technical wrestling department, and so Nattie’s moves were mirrored, step by step. While many think of Nattie as a submission specialist, many forget that Saraya’s finisher is also a submission move. As the two traded holds on the mat, everyone knew this was on its way of becoming a classic. As the time went on, the pace quickened and the match intensified. Nattie leveled Knight with the discus clothesline. Knight hit the sitout power bomb on Nattie, but the champion rolled outside. On the outside, Saraya found a garbage can that was left behind from the Full Metal Mayhem match, smashing it over Nattie’s head. Normally a disqualification, but when Nattie returned the favor, the referee let it slide. Back in the ring, Saraya withstood the Sharpshooter for almost a minute before reaching the ropes. She reversed the next attempt, and Nattie suddenly was trapped in the Bridal Rockin Chair. As the announcer counted down the seconds to the match’s time limit, everyone was chanting for Nattie to tap. But she didn’t. The match was ruled a draw! The fans demanded 5 more minutes, but RD Evans grabbed the microphone and said that the crowd didn’t deserve 5 more minutes, and neither did she. He pointed at Saraya when he said that, but when she climbed out of the ring to get at him, he tucked tail and ran away. As the champion lay in the ring, hurting, Saraya lifted the WWN World Title in the air.
Nattie Neidhart and Saraya Knight battled to a time-limit draw in 30:00 Rating:***** (Nattie Neidhart retained the WWN World Title in her 9th title defense)
You’re not safe - never As a weary Sasha Banks sits down to rest in her locker room, the TV Title draped over her shoulders, Tonga Tapa and AJ Mendez enter. AJ is quick to put up her hands, saying to Sasha that she only wants to talk. She got the message from her friends loud and clear, she’s only here to inform her of something. Sasha seems clueless about what she’s talking about, and eyes Tapa warily. AJ says that the stipulations for the Ultimate X match actually said that the winner could challenge for any title they wanted. And Tonga has decided to challenge for the WWN TV Title! This looked like news to Tonga as well, who gave AJ a surprised look. Sasha shakes her head, saying that this kind of shenanigans and tomfoolery is just the kind of thing that gets people in trouble. Tonga actually seems to agree with Sasha, telling AJ that she wants the top prize. AJ smiles falsely, saying that she was just joking. Ha-ha. In 3 weeks’ time, Tonga would ascend to the top of the WWN pyramid, becoming the undefeated, undisputed WWN World Champion. Rating: ****½

Show comments: We might have witnessed the greatest match in WWN history, but Saraya Knight is certainly not finished with the World Title after this. The aftermath of Tropic Tumble happens next week at Showdown!

WWN - Saturday Night Showdown - 07.30.2016
On the heels of an absolute fantastic Tropic Tumble VII, we bring you Saturday Night Showdown! After the success of that amazing show, Showdown will start to air on Wednesday nights from September on. It will simply be called WWN Showdown.
Athena explains her actions Tonight’s show opens with Athena standing in the ring with a microphone. One-half of the (former) tag-team of Sisters of No Mercy brutally attacked her half-sister Awesome Kong at Tropic Tumble, superkicking her twice and hitting her with the O-Turn following their loss in Full Metal Mayhem. Athena says that it has been clear to her for a while who on the team isn’t pulling their weight. Since Kong decided to lose close to 40 pounds, it has all gone downhill for them. She isn’t half the wrestler she used to be. This all culminated six days ago, when a small Canadian managed to throw her through a table, a feat that would have been impossible six months ago. Kong’s music hits. Kong looks devastated. She tells Athena that she of all people should know how much she has struggled with her weight. Obesity is a problem in the USA and when someone works hard to do something about it, this is what she gets from her own flesh and blood? Athena reminds her they’re only half-siblings. Kong calls her a despicable human being and rushes the ring. Athena skips town while Kong yells at her from the ring, awaiting her opponent in a scheduled match. Rating: **½
Awesome Kong vs Kimberly Kong’s fury and anger was, unfortunately for Kimberly, directed at whoever was nearby. While Kimberly did manage to slam Kong to the ground for a close fall, Kong was all over her. Athena had taken up a position at the entrance ramp, and watched as her enraged half-sister dismantled Kimberly, finally hitting her with the Awesome Bomb.
Awesome Kong defeated Kimberly with the Awesome Bomb in 03:39 Rating: **
We need a new partner We see Bully Sky pacing the locker room, her boyfriend Ray trying to calm her down. Sky says she cannot calm down. Not only did she lose against Serena at Tropic Tumble, with Alexa out injured, her plans of winning the tag team titles seems far away. She has scrutinized the rest of the roster, and nobody fits the bill of a new partner. Nobody is beautiful, ruthless or sexy enough to be her partner. Ray then suggests finding someone close to fitting the bill, and then do a makeover. Sky likes the idea and tells Ray to get ready. Ray looks confused, not sure what his role in a makeover should be. Rating: **½
The Exotic Goddesses are coming A vignette airs of a new tag team debuting in WWN soon. Hania the Howling Huntress is a proud native american, dressed scantily in furs, a headdress and showing some very impressive acrobatic moves in the video. Her partner, the Egyptian beauty Mandy Leon is dressed like Cleopatra, even holding a snake at one point. The vignette includes Mandy being attacked by someone looking like a Roman gladiator, Mandy overpowering him and then apparently breaking his back with an elevated Boston crab. Rating: ***
The Roses vs Jayme Jameson & D’Arcy Dixon The feisty and colorful superhero team of the Roses was in action next, taking on two local competitors. Jameson and Dixon had the size advantage on the Roses, and despite the crowd’s support and their undying optimism, the local girls eyed the opportunity of a lifetime. When White Rose was almost pinned with a powerslam, the Roses rallied, hitting several double-team maneuvers before hitting Jameson with a double-team, elevated DDT.
The Roses (White Rose & Black Rose) defeated Jameson & Dixon with the Red Thorn in 05:20 Rating: ****
Enough is enough We see Mia Yim heavily protesting Val’s current plan of seducing Heidi Lovelace. Again, she points out that it’s uncomfortable and didn’t lead to her winning the TVTitle. Val is upset, saying that the plan would have worked perfectly well if it hadn’t been for Donna Lee sticking her nose into business she had nothing to do with. Val tells Mia to take care of Lee tonight, for good. Rating: *
Please don’t! As Donna Lee is getting ready for her match against Mia Yim, her friend and tag team partner Heidi Lovelace is trying to stop her. She tells Donna not to blame Mia for what happened at Tropic Tumble, it was all her fault. She thinks she’s in love with Mia. Donna tells Heidi that Mia and Val are using her, and that if she’s blind enough not to see that, they’re no longer friends. Tonight, Donna would take care of Mia once and for all, and she hopes Heidi stays out of it. Rating: ¾*
A Beautiful Recruitment Sky and Ray are seen entering a locker room. Ray is pushing a cart with scissors, make-up, hair dye and all the implements for a full makeover. In the locker room, Kimberly is surprised to see the pair. Sky rants on about how Kimberly has come a long way from the hobo that prowled the alleyways just a few months back, but there is still a lot to do before she can be called Beautiful. As a former tag team champion, Kimberly has a lot to bring to the table. If only she would let Sky make her perfect. Kimberly stands up, picks up a pair of scissors and tells Sky that she may not be a homeless wreck anymore, but she is still crazy. Sky gets the messge loud and clear, and she and Ray back out. Rating: ***
Donna Lee vs Mia Yim w/SoCal Val Right from the bat, it looked like Donna wanted this more than Mia. Yim had more than enough just staying alive in the opening minutes, as Lee was a furious beast. Love is a powerful motivator, and it is clear that Donna feels that way for Heidi. The match spilled to the outside, where Donna took her time punishing Mia. That was until she spotted SoCal Val. She walked over to Mia’s manager and grabbed her hair, threatening to punch her teeth out. Mia struck from behind and sent Donna into the ringpost. Mia controlled the match for a while, but her once patented Kick Me Goodnight only yielded a two-count. This was a fast-paced main event which the crowd loved, and even more so when Heidi Lovelace walked down to the ring trying to break it up. Donna took her eyes of Mia to shout back at Heidi, allowing Yim to hit once again with the Kick Me Goodnight. Mia then wrapped up Donna with the Package Piledriver. Nobody gets up from that. Heidi went into the ring after the match to check on Donna, but Mia pulled her to her side, kissing her right on the lips. The two went hand-in-hand out of the arena, Heidi looking to back to see a distraught Donna slowly getting back to her feet.
Mia Yim defeated Donna Lee with the Package Piledriver in 11:38 Rating: ***
You’ll have to wait In AJ Mendez’ office, Saraya Knight demands a rematch against Nattie Neidhart. The crowd witnessed the most epic match in women’s wrestling history, but they were deprived of a winner. She questions AJ’s leadership skills in not coming out and demanding another 5 minutes. AJ tells Knight that extra time can only be given if both wrestlers agree to it, and Nattie certainly didn’t want to risk losing her title. AJ admits Saraya deserves another chance at the WWN World Title, but she will have to wait. In two weeks’ time, Tonga Tapa challenges Nattie for the title. Knight will have her chance - but it will be against Tapa. In the background, Tapa grins as the show comes to a close. Rating: ****¼

WWN - Saturday Night Showdown - 08.06.2016
Main event set for tonight Showdown starts with AJ Mendez and RD Evans sharing a drink in his office, WWN Champion Nattie Neidhart refusing to have any. AJ toasts for a well-fought match at Tropic Tumble, a match pundits all over the world say is the best match of the year - regardless of gender. RD thanks her, and says he think it’s great that they can have an amicable working relationship, despite the fact that AJ’s mercenary, Tonga Tapa will challenge for the belt next week. Nattie chimes in that when she breaks Tonga’s no lose-streak, maybe things won’t be as bright. AJ smiles overbearingly, and informs them that Nattie will take part in a warm-up match tonight. In the main event, it will be champion vs champion as Nattie face.. At this she’s interrupted by RD who says her client will not under any circumstance face Sasha Banks. AJ says she doesn’t mean Sasha, she means one-half of the WWN World Tag Team Champions - LuFisto! Rating: ***¼
Total Makeover Backstage, the Bullies are pushing their Total Makeover 2016 Cart around the hallways, looking for someone to transform to Sky’s new partner in The Beautiful People. Their next project - Sarona Snuka. The daughter of the legendary hall of famer Jimmy Snuka is busy preparing for her match, and Sky’s sales pitch of “unresolved potential” falls on flat ears. The Bullies are chased away, again. Rating: *
Kimberly & Snuka vs The Roses (White & Black Rose) The popular super-heroes The Roses are on the rise here in WWN. Their double-team work have come a mile since their first attempts, and against two so different opponents as Snuka and Kimberly, it really showed. Snuka and Kimberly never managed to get on the same page, and The Roses hit their Red Thorn to put Kimberly down for the 3-count.
The Roses defeated Kimbery & Sarona Snuka with the Red Thorn in 05:42 Rating: ***
What are you up to? Sasha Banks enter AJ’s office warily, looking behind the door for any hidden assailants. AJ tells her that those days are over, water under the bridge. Bygones. And all that. She just brought her here to tell how happy she is that Sasha managed to retain the belt against Mia Yim at Tropic Tumble. “The Boss” tells her to cut the crap. AJ then says that her theme of the evening is “champion vs champion”, and as Nattie is facing LuFisto, she will be facing the other half of the WWN World Tag Team Champions - Kana! Rating: ****¼
The Exotic Goddesses are coming A new video of Hania the Howling Huntress and Mandy Leon is shown. In this one, they are sitting cross-legged around a campfire, chanting in an unknown language. Mandy then says she’s calling her ancestor’s spirits to grant them strength and fortitude in their battles ahead. As Hania howls at the moon, Mandy says that the Exotic Goddesses are coming to WWN - soon! Rating: **
Undefeated champions As both WWN World Tag Team Champions are preparing themselves for their respective singles matches, LuFisto talks about being champions for 5 months. Not only that, they’ve tied the record for most successful title defenses. And tonight, they are walking out to that ring proving themselves to be great singles wrestlers too. Kana smiles wickedly as she ties her boots, making a “cutting throat” motion with her hand. Rating: ***
Kana vs Sasha Banks - non title match The crowd voiced their appreciation of this match before the two even locked horns, and both wrestlers seemed to like the attention they were getting. Sasha didn’t get a good start in this one, as Kana seemed more focus to kicking Sasha’s legs, a game the lithe Banks was doomed to lose. Sasha managed to bring Kana down to the ground, but discovered that Kana had a great ground-game too. Sasha did her best to stay alive after this, dodging Kana’s kicks or narrowly kicking out of the moves that connected. After Kana missed a splash in the corner, Banks hit both her high knee and her patented diving double knee drop. The two then exchanged a series of pinfall maneuvers, Banks almost getting the three after a crucifix. Kana then hit an O’Connor Roll, pinning Sasha’s shoulders to the ground just long enough to win the match. The two shook hands after the match.
Kana defeated Sasha Banks with an O’Connor Roll after 09:10 Rating: ***¼
Sitdown with Awesome Kong A pre-taped interview of D’Angelo Dinero talking to Awesome Kong, airs. In it, Kong talks about being betrayed by her flesh and blood at Tropic Tumble. Kong admits that when she first found out about Athena, several years ago, she didn’t want anything to do with her younger half-sister. But as the years has gone by, she did accept her as family. Together, they held the WWN Tag Team Titles and were considered the most dominant team in the history of professional women’s wrestling. Now, this was tarnished by Athena’s actions and her hurtful words. The gloves are coming off and Athena will feel the wrath of Kong. Their relationship started as enemies, and it will end as enemies. Rating: **¾
Remember who’s in charge In AJ Mendez’ office, Jessica Havock is being yelled at for booking herself in Tropic Tumble. She has no authority to do so, but apparently someone sent an e-mail to marketing using HER e-mail account, so they had to go with it. Jessica says she knows what she did was wrong, but firstly, she wasn’t there to hear all the nasty things Ashley Flair said about her. Secondly, AJ didn’t protest when it was brought to her attention PRIOR to the match. AJ says that by then it was too late. Besides, if she had won, maybe this would have been different. But now, she is just a loser who don’t follow orders. AJ tells Havock to get out of her office. Rating: *½
LuFisto vs Nattie Neidhart w/RD Evans - Non-title match In tonight’s second champion vs champion match, the world champion tested herself against her fellow Canadian LuFisto. These two have faced each other before, during their formative years back in Calgary. Now, they are veterans of the ring, with a belt a piece. Nattie reminded LuFisto that she was *just* the tag team champion, and suggested that it was probably Kana who did all the heavy lifting. She didn’t know what hit her. LuFisto has always primarily been a singles wrestler, and hasn’t forgotten how to tango alone. As she cannonballed Nattie in the corner, the champion was dragged out by RD Evans for a timeout. LuFisto followed, and the two battle on the outside, Nattie throwing LuFisto back first into the announce table. Nattie continued to work on the back. Later, when LuFisto tried to lift Nattie into the Burning Hammer, she buckled. Nattie brough her down and applied the Sharpshooter. LuFisto’s body isn’t what it used to be, and having battled all kinds of injuries, it’s perhaps best to quit when you’re still able to walk.
Nattie Neidhart defeated LuFisto when LuFisto submitted to the Sharpshooter after 07:41 Rating: ***¼

Behind the scenes -
Sarita and Ivelisse have left WWN. Sarita as a protest to WWN’s Injured = Half Pay situation, Ivelisse due to clashing schedules at Lucha Underground.
Angelina Love has left WWN due to maternity leave.
Renee Young has been let go by WWN. With the recent success of The Pope and Josh Matthews, a competent announcer like Renee Young should probably be somewhere else than on the bench at WWN.
Billy Gunn and Matt Hardy have been hired to short-term contract as Road Agents
Indy stars Hania the Howling Huntress and Mandy Leon has been hired. Vignettes of the Exotic Goddesses have been airing as of late.
Alexa Bliss was considered quite the scoop, leaving her contract with NXT to come here. Unfortunately, she was injured quite early and is not expected back until May of next year.
Due to WWN’s move to a better spot, it is believed that they need to up the star power even more. It is rumored that Mickie James is being brought back, and with Gail Kim’s no-compete clause with WWE coming to an end, the Original Knockout may be coming home as well.

WWN - Saturday Night Showdown - 08.13.2016
We are only a few weeks away from our big debut on Wednesday nights, but tonight is action-packed as it is, as Tonga Tapa challenges Nattie Neidhart for the WWN World Title.
War Games! As we start the show, AJ Mendez is in the ring. She talks about the move to Wednesday nights, but then introduces the WWN TV Champion, Sasha Banks! The Boss enters, still wary of AJ after their months of warring. AJ makes no hostile actions, instead directing Sasha to the big screen, which shows a highlight reel of former War Games matches in WWN. AJ tells Sasha that the next iPPV is Caged Fury, and according to tradition, a War Games is held on that occasion. This year, AJ proposes that they each assemble a 5-women team to do war in the cage. The participants on the winning team all get a match of their choosing - but each title may only be challenged for once. The person submitting her opponent gets to choose first, and the rest have to agree who gets the next pick. Sasha asks AJ if it has to be a title match. AJ says no, but the title match has to take place, and it supersedes all other contractual clauses. That means if Sasha’s team loses, someone might challenge for her TV Title even though it hasn’t been 30 days since her last defense. Sasha nods, and says that when her team wins, she will challenge her. AJ snickers, saying that if Sasha even manages to assemble a team, who will be on it? The last one to trust her, got robbed of her TV Title and chased away from the promotion. AJ and Sasha shake hands, proclaiming that the games are on. Rating: ****
The Exotic Goddesses A vignette of the Exotic Goddesses, Mandy Leon and Hania the Howling Huntress airs. In it, they are doing battle in the ring, showcasing their style and skills against all kinds of opponents. They then cut a short promo. Mandy promises to bring the strength of her Egyptian ancestors to WWN, while Hania will channel the inner power of her spirit guardians when they conquer the tag-team division in WWN. The Exotic Goddesses will be here next week! Rating: **
Ashley Flair vs Mia Yim w/SoCal Val They may both have come up short in their attempts to win the World and TV Title respectively, but both knew that they were only a few good wins away from getting another opportunity. Both women were tall with good reach, and they brought their legs to good use on more than one occasion. While they were wrestling, Heidi Lovelace came out and talked to SoCal Val. It looked like she was asking why Mia wasn’t answering her phone, if she was upset with her because Heidi couldn’t help her win the TV Title. Val tried to calm her down, saying that Mia just has a lot on her plate right now, like winning this match. The bout could have gone either way, but it boiled down to Mia dodging the Natural Selection and kicking Ashley’s head in afterwards.
Mia Yim defeated Ashley Flair with the Kick Me Goodnight in 06:46 Rating: ***½
Come join me After the match, Val and Heidi entered the ring. Mia grabbed a mic and apologized to Heidi for not being very responsive the last couple of weeks. She admits that she was disappointed for not being able to win the TV Title, but she knew it wasn’t Heidi’s fault. It was all Donna Lee. However, Mia would very much like to have Heidi as her tag team partner. Val has already talked to AJ Mendez about a possible title challenge if she can find a partner. Heidi thinks about for a short while, the crowd chanting “Don’t do it!” She tells Mia that she already has a partner, and even if things haven’t been great with her and Donna lately, she owes it to her to try one last time. Besides, it’s not good to mix business with pleasure. Heidi moves in to kiss Mia, but she dodges it and it becomes an awkward hug instead. Mia smiles and tells Heidi she understands. Rating: ¾*
Total Makeover - Ashley Flair Backstage, the Bullies are looking for potential subjects for a makeover. They stop at Ashley Flair drinking some water after her loss. Sky tells Flair that when you’re down on your luck and on a losing streak, a makeover is just what the doctor ordered. It will make your confidence grow again. Ashley snorts, saying that what will make her confidence grow is winning matches. It’s back to the gym for her, she doesn’t need a makeover. As they leave, Bully Ray lets out a pathetic “wooo”. Bully Sky doesn’t approve. Rating: ****¼
Even playing field In her office, AJ and RD are sipping margharitas, talking about the upcoming main event. RD says he cannot believe that Tonga has not been pinned or submitted since she debuted in October of last year. Until tonight, that is. AJ then starts quoting Shakespeare - "The man that once did sell the lion's skin / While the beast lived, was killed with hunting him." RD looks at her quizzically, before saying that in the spirit of good competition, maybe they should both agree to stay out of this one, watching the match in her office? AJ agrees. And in the fairness of competition, maybe they both should instruct Taya or Jessica Havock not to interfere either? RD laughs, saying he has never issued such an order. AJ says that neither has she. There is a brief pause before both suddenly has to send an SMS. Rating: ***¾
Kimberly vs Taya Taya was out on her own in this one, as RD Evans was still in AJ’s office. It didn’t look to bother Taya too much, as she was all over dominating Kimberly with her superior physique. Kimberly has that crazy fighting style that is so hard to defend against, but when faced with the strength of Taya’s caliber, it all comes down to physics. Taya picks up the win here.
Taya defeated Kimberly with the Swinging Side Slam after 04:12 Rating: ***
How do you feel now? Backstage, Sasha Banks runs into Saraya Knight. Sasha congratulates Knight on the tremendous match at Tropic Tumble. Knight scoffs, saying she didn’t care what the pundits said, she wasn’t champion, and that was all that mattered. Speaking of which, said Sasha, there is a title match about to happen right now, and she’s not in it. Even though Nattie never beat her at Tumble. Now, that isn’t fair, is it? Saraya says ‘damn no, it’s not fair’. Oh well, what can you do, said Sasha and moved on, leaving Knight with a ponderous expression. Rating: ****½
Nattie Neidhart (c) vs Tonga Tapa for the WWN World Title Nattie has held the WWN World Title for seven months and four days, but this must have been the most difficult opponent she’s faced to date. Her Tongan opponent had been unpinned and unsubmitted since her debut, 10 months ago. Nattie didn’t look scared in the opening though, even with RD absent. When her chops and forearms had little effect on Tonga, and when she couldn’t lift or suplex her, she started getting nervous. Tapa whipped Nattie from pillar to post a couple of minutes, even garnering some cheers from the crowd. Nattie then started a new tactic, targeting Tonga’s knees, getting the big woman to buckle. Tapa kicked her off of the first Sharpshooter attempt, however. With some of her strength gone, Tonga could more easily be suplexed and slammed by the champion, which earned her a few near falls. Tapa might not even know how it’s like to be pinned, as she kicked out and fought on. She lifted Nattie up for the Tongan Drop, but did a little spin and managed to knock down the referee. She covered Nattie, but nobody could make the count. Suddenly, Saraya Knight ran in and attacked Tonga stunning her with several forearms. She then grabbed Nattie and power-bombed her! The referee came to, and seeing the carnage in the ring, called for the bell.
Nattie Neidhart vs Tonga Tapa ended in a no-contest after 07:58 Rating: *
Pier 9 brawl Saraya didn’t let that stop her and went toe to toe with Tonga. That was until Nattie clipped her from behind. Then, Sasha Banks ran in, kicking Nattie repeatedly and drop-kicking her out of the ring. In came Taya and Jessica Havock, led by RD and AJ. Taya managed to power Sasha down and trap her in a chokehold. Havock and Tonga grabbed Saraya, giving her a double chokeslam. Nattie then came in and locked the Sharpshooter on Nattie as Havock and Tonga gave Sasha a chokeslam to close the show. Rating: ****
Show rating: ***
Show notes: Well, it looks like AJ has assemble a powerful team already, but who will be her fifth member? Also, will Sasha recruit Saraya to her team at Caged Fury, September 13? Next week we’ll see the debut of The Exotic Goddesses. Also, as a result of her win last week over Sasha Banks, one-half of the current WWN Tag Team Champions, Kana, will go one on one against Sasha Banks for the TV Title.

WWN - Saturday Night Showdown - 08.20.2016
Welcome to Showdown! Tonight, Kana will challenge Sasha Banks for the WWN TV Title. After defeating her in non-title action a couple of weeks back, “The Empress of Tomorow” will try to become WWN’s first ever double champion. Also, The Exotic Goddesses debut!
Team Nattie Backstage, RD Evans and Nattie Neidhart has gathered their team for the upcoming War Games match to be held at Caged Fury. RD says that ruining the title match last week was the dumbest thing Saraya Knight could have done. No team gathered by Knight and Banks can stand up to them. Not only do they have the three biggest and strongest women in WWN (Havock, Taya, Tonga), but they had the WWN World Champion. Nattie asks who the fifth person would be. AJ says she will once again strap on the boots and enter the ring. Nattie is not so sure about this, bringing up the fact that AJ hasn’t had the best of track record in the ring and must suffer from ring rust. AJ says that she will be the last one in, and by the time she enters, Team AJ should have the match won. Tonga states that when she wins the match for Team AJ, she will demand a rematch against Nattie. Nattie and Tonga stare at each other as we go to the ring. Rating: ***
The Exotic Goddesses (Mandy Leon & Hania the Howling Huntress) vs The Young Contenders (Heidi Lovelace & Donna Lee) The Exotic Goddesses have been hyped extensively on Showdown and in SoMe as of late, and the two beauties didn’t disappoint in their extravagant entrance. Both were wearing traditional garb and headdresses of their ancestral culture (Egyptian and Native American respectively). They were impressive in the ring as well! Hania awed the crowd with a high-flying style rarely seen in North-America, while Leon used a more technical style to ground her opponents. They were definitely not averse to breaking the rules on occasion, and they received several warnings from the official. Heidi and Donna may have had their personal problems as of late, but they still worked well together in this match. Still, the debuting team had momentum on their side, finishing off with a roundhouse kick -> german suplex combo to put Heidi away.
The Exotic Goddesses defeated Young Contenders when Leon pinned Lovelace with the By the Gods in 05:31 Rating:****
Total Makeover - Ashley Flair take 2 Once again, the Bullies try to persuade Ashley to undergo a total makeover. They claim that she has nothing to lose by doing it, and that she cannot train all day anyway. Ashley finally gives in. A longer vignette is then shown of Ashley having her hair cut and dyed, her nails done, being at a spa and finding new clothes. The final clip is of Bully unveiling the final result and letting Ashley look into a mirror. Bully Ray says she looks hot. Ashley looks horrified, and tells Ray that it might have something to do with the fact that she looks just like his girlfriend. Bully Sky has transformed Ashley into a carbon copy of herself! The hair, the outfit, everything! Sky doesn’t see it, saying that Ashley is taller by several inches. Ashley calls Sky a narcissistic, arrogant piece of shit and storms off. Ray wonders why she became so upset, she is way hotter now than before. Rating: *¼
The most dominant tag-team ever? A vignette airs, hyping Kana and LuFisto. In the background, the Pope talks about their meteoric rise to stardom. They won the tag team titles on their very first match together here in WWN, and haven’t looked back since. Their wins have been impressive, and it doesn’t look like any current team have what it takes to defeat them for the belts. And tonight, Kana may become historic as the first ever double champion. Rating: *’¼
I’ll ask you once again A video airs of SoCal Val and Mia Yim approaching Heidi Lovelace backstage. Mia comforts Heidi for losing the match, and says it wasn’t her fault. She tries to convince Heidi that Young Contenders aren’t going anywhere, and says that her offer from last week is still on the table. Team with her, and they will have a shot at the tag team titles. Heidi nods and says she thinks that’s for the best. Mia hugs her and kisses her on the cheek, saying she knew she’d come around. In the background, SoCal Val is smiling. Rating: ***
Jessica Havock w/AJ Mendez vs Serena Havock used her size early on to dominate Serena, but Serena gained the advantage when J-Hav missed a splash in the corner. The match went outside as well, the two experienced brawlers trading punches close to the fans. After hitting a Thesz press from the second turnbuckle, Serena was poised in the corner, ready for the Spear. As she was about to charge, AJ Mendez tripped her, causing her to fall flat on her face. Serena turned around to get a hold of the GM, but Havock grabbed her from behind and put her down with the chokeslam.
Jessica Havock defeated Serena with the Harlot Slayer in 07:05 Rating: **¼
You’ll never be safe We see a video of Awesome Kong out running, earphones in her ear. That is probably why she doesn’t hear Athena sneak up behind her and club her in the back. Kong’s younger half sister attacks her viciously, saying that without her weight and strength, she’s nothing. It has cost them the tag team titles, and it will cost her her career. Athena superkicks Kong, causing her to roll down into a ditch. Rating: ****
Are you in? Backstage, Sasha Banks and Saraya Knight meet in a locker room. Knight says she got Banks’ text. Sasha asks if she’s in. Knight looks confused. Sasha elaborates, stating that Team AJ has already been announced, and in it is Saraya’s rival, Nattie Neidhart. Knight says ‘of course I’m in’. But they need three more. Sasha says she has an idea. There is someone who hates AJ and Tonga just as much as she does, and who just, quite possibly, got a reason to renew that hatred. The drawback is that that person isn’t exactly on Saraya’s Christmas card list. Saraya says she knows who Sasha’s talking about. Saraya says she’ll consider it. Rating:****½
Kana vs Sasha Banks (c) for the WWN TV Title Beating the champion in a non-title match is a fool-proof recipe for getting a title shot. And unlike other title shots, Sasha didn’t seem to mind being booked in this one. In fact, she showed respect for her opponent by shaking hands before the match. It looks like Sasha learned a lot from the loss, and was able to both block Kana’s strikes and dodge or reverse her submission holds. Kana appreciated the craftsmanship shown by Sasha by shaking her hand again. This match was fast-paced and action-packed, Sasha showing the crowd that she can fly when she dove through the ropes and onto Kana. The “Empress of Tomorrow” dished out a few new moves, hitting a devastating hip attack and almost pinning Banks following a spinning backfist. It was when Kana attempted a second backfist that Sasha ducked and hit the lung-blower followed by the Bank Statement. Kana inched herself closer to the ropes, but Sasha used her legs on the bottom rope to take them further away from the ropes. With the ropes too far to reach, Kana submitted.
The two shook hands after the match.
Sasha Banks defeated Kana when Kana submitted to the Bank Statement in 08:39 Rating:***¼ (Sasha Banks retained the TV Title in her 6th title defense)
It’s good to see you guys! A video airs from AJ’s office. In it, she’s talking to two persons (who we don’t see). AJ says it’s good to see them back here in WWN where they belong. They will be a welcome addition to the roster when they now move to Wednesday nights. AJ says she’s also glad they’ve decided to enter the tag team division, as that division certainly needs more competition. Rating: *½
Show rating: ***
Show notes: AJ is stil the TV Champion after an exciting match against Kana! New faces are always exciting to see, who can the new tag team that AJ talked to be?

WWN - Saturday Night Showdown - 08.27.2016
Welcome to the final Saturday Night Showdown! On Wednesday, September 7th, WWN Showdown airs! Tonight, Mia Yim and Heidi Lovelace will try to win the WWN Tag Team Titles from the dominant champions LuFisto and Kana.
What’s up with your team? Backstage, Sasha Banks is checking her cell when AJ Mendez walks by. AJ asks her if she’s desperately trying to recruit some allies to the War Games Match? Not everyone could complete a killer team that quick. Sasha tells AJ that even if she’s already completed her team, there was still plenty of time to find enough good people. AJ scoffs of Sasha’s chances, saying that nobdoy trusted her after how she betrayed Ivelisse. Sasha tells AJ that unless she’s delusional, she must realize that she has made quite a few enemies on her own. And you know what they say, “an enemy of my enemy is my friend”. She promises AJ that they will round up their team later tonight. Rating: **¾
The Roses vs Snuka & Andrea Sarona teamed up with local powerhouse Andrea to give the spirited superheroines a tough challenge tonight. Andrea is Sarona’s size, and together that pummeled away at the smaller, black-and-white dressed Roses. With the power of the people behind them, the masked heroines rallied. After a meeting of the minds between Snuka and Andrea, White Rose was able to bring Andrea down with a cross body before Black Rose hit the Rose Splash from the top rope.
The Roses (White Rose & Black Rose) def. S. Snuka & Andrea with the Rose Splash on Andrea in 04:39 Rating: ¾*
Ready? SoCal Val is preparing her client, Mia Yim, for the WWN Tag Team Titles match later tonight, when Mia’s paramour, Heidi Lovelace comes in. Heidi asks Mia if she’s ready for tonight. Mia says she’s more than ready for the match. Only question is, is Heidi read for tonight, if she knows what she means. Heidi blushes as SoCal Val can barely hide a grin. Rating: *
AJ Mendez vs Amber Gallows As AJ booked herself in the War Games match, she apparently needs a few practice matches before venturing into the cage. Local veteran Amber Gallows gave AJ some stiff competition in the opening minute, but AJ’s experience shone through the ring rust. The General Manager was able to lock in the Black Widow, forcing Gallows to submit.
AJ Mendez defeated Gallows by submission with the Black Widow after 03:05 Rating:****
Sitdown interview with Donna Lee In a candid interview, Josh Matthews speaks with Donna Lee about the entire love triangle situation with Heidi Lovelace and Mia Yim. Donna gets very emotional in this interview, which has to be restarted a couple of times. Donna says that she always thought that she and Heidi had something more than simple friendship, but it has become obvious to Donna that Heidi didn’t feel the same way. And now, now she’s blinded and lured by someone who obviously just wants to take advantage of her. Donna says that love makes blind, and in this case, it’s really true. She hopes she’s wrong though, and still wishes Heidi the best of luck in the tag team title match against LuKana later tonight. Rating: ****½
Bully Sky vs Leva Bates Bully Sky’s latest makeover project hasn’t exactly gone as planned. The only “customer” who accepted her off, Ashley Flair, was quite clear how she felt about it and has actually taken some time off for her appearance to normalize. Sky made quick work of Bates tonight, and on her way out, she told the camera that someone really doesn’t appreciate help when it lands in your lap.
Bully Sky def. Leva Bates with the In Yo Face after 02:35 Rating: **½
Athena injured! We see a video of Awesome Kong cornering Athena in the locker room, yelling at her for ruining their sibling bond, putting family members at odds with each other and being a coward for attacking her from behind. Athena says she can attack her from all sides, slapping Kong in the face. Kong responds with a stunning backfist, sending Athena to the floor. We see Kong mount Athena, raining blows after blows down upon her. Some trainers come by and try to wrest Kong away from her unconscious half-sister. She tosses some of them away, before more gets to, among other Gregory Helms and Bily Gunn. They manage to keep Kong back as a trainer shouts for a medic. Rating: ****
An ulikely alliance We see a video of Sasha Banks meeting with Serena at a coffe house. Sasha thanks Serena for meeting her, and brings up her old rivalry with AJ Mendez. Serena says she’ll be happy to help her against Team AJ, but doesn’t know how Saraya might feel about it. Knight comes over and sits down, and the tension rises. Saraya tells Serena she’ll never forget what Serena did to her daughter, but right now, bygones will be bygones. Knight wants, no, needs the WWN World Title back, and will go to great lengths to achieve it. When they win War Games, one of them will get to challenge for the WWN World Title. And that’ll be her. Serena nods, saying that she can agree to those terms. She stands up and tries to shake Knight’s hand, but Saraya tells Serena not to push it. Rating: **¼
LuKana (LuFisto & Kana) vs Mia Yim w/So Cal Val & Heidi Lovelace If Kana and LuFisto were successful tonight, they would become the most defending tag team champions in WWN history. Their opponents weren’t the most experienced team, but if we’re about to believe Heidi Lovelace, it was a team that had great chemistry in and out of the ring. The champions took control of the match, but a timely distraction by SoCal Val allowed Mia to enter the ring illegally and take out LuFisto. The Canadian took a lot of beating for a few minutes before she managed to reverse an irish whip, sending Lovelace crashing into Val (who had found her way up on the apron again) and make the tag. After hitting Mia with a cannonball in the corner, she took out Heidi with a superkick and tagged Kana. Dual superkicks took out Heidi for the win.
LuKana defeated Lovelace & Yim when Kana pinned Lovelace after a superkick in 09:21 Rating: *¾ (LuKana retained the WWN World Tag Team Titles in their 9th title defense)
We want you! Post-match, Sasha Banks’ music plays and “the Boss” comes out alongside Saraya Knight. Sasha congratulates them with the win, and says they’re just the pair of women they need in the cage come Caged Fury. Kana and LuFisto nods enthusiastically and accepts. AJ Mendez’ music plays. The General Managers apologizes (very insincerely) for this, but she says she needs the champions to defend their titles at Caged Fury. Therefore, they can not be a part of Sasha’s team. Knight calls bullshit, but AJ feigns ignorance, saying that she had made this call either way. Her involvement has nothing to do with it. When Kana asks ‘against who?’ - AJ says that it will be a surprise. Rating: *¾
Show rating: **½
Show notes: Thanks for watching faithfully every Saturday for the last few years. As of September 7th, we will be on Wednesday nights. Next week will see a huge 6-woman tag match featuring participants from the War Games match scheduled for Caged Fury.

WWN SHOWDOWN - 2016.09.07
Welcome to the very first edition of WWN Showdown, now on WEDNESDAY nights! We’re only 10 days away from Caged Fury, where Team AJ will battle Team Sasha. Tonight, we will see a huge 6-woman tag match featuring participants in that match. But first, let’s go to the ring!
Awesome Kong vs Donna Lee As Kong makes her way down to the ring, we learn that Athena suffered a broken jaw last show, supposedly from a sneak attack by her vengeful half-sister. Kong has never admitted or denied the wrongdoing. She was clearly in some distress though, as The Queen of the Ring Donna Lee took it to her larger opponent early on. Even if Kong has lost a great deal of weight, she’s still a menacing presence with a superior power advantage over Lee. Lee has had her own problems as of late, dealing with her best friend’s apparent abandonment of her. After a few minutes, Kong was able to overcome her challenger with a big powerbomb.
Awesome Kong defeated Donna Lee with the Awesome Bomb in 03:49 Rating: ****
Hail the champ! A video package showcasing the WWN World Champion airs. It features all her successful title reigns of her eight month long reign. It cuts to Nattie and her manager, solicitor RD Evans praising her efforts and claiming that she is the sole reason for WWN’s new and improved slot. If it hadn’t been for her, WWN would quickly have become a forgotten small-time company operating out of bingo halls and armories. At Caged Fury, she would lead her team to victory, submitting her foes and ensuring her place in the annals of wrestling history. Rating: ****¼
What to do? We see a video of Sasha Banks and Saraya Knight discussing possible options for their last two team members for Caged Fury. Knight says it was a dick move by AJ to deny them LuKana. She has spoken to Lufisto, and she was willing to go double duty that night. As they ponder their next move, the Roses, the black and white clad superheroines of WWN emerge on the scene, almost like flying! White Rose says they’ve come to the rescue. Black Rose does a little twirl, saying that they want in on the big dance in the cage. Saraya tells them this is not a joke, this is dangerous. Sasha says that they might be just what they’re looking for. She convinces Knight that this is a good idea. Looks like Team Sasha is complete! Rating: **
The Exotic Goddesses vs Heidi Lovelace & Mia Yim w/SoCal Val Mia and Heidi were unsuccessful last week in winning the tag team titles from LuKana, and you could see on Mia’s face that she was far from happy with Heidi. Lovelace, still lovestruck, tried her best to please Mia by doing most of the work in this match. The Goddesses managed to corner Heidi, working her over while Mia looked at with disinterest. When finally Heidi broke free and went for the tag, Mia jumped down from the apron! She and Val walked out, leaving Heidi to her fate.
The Exotic Goddesses defeated Mia Yim & Heidi Lovelace in 05:10 when Hania hit a moonsault on Lovelace. Rating: ***
Promises, promises In AJ Mendez’ office, AJ’s main bodyguard Tonga Tapa asks her what happens when Team AJ won War Games. Would she get another chance at the World Title? AJ guarantees not only a win, but that Tonga would get the title match. AJ had already sealed the deal with RD Evans. And when Tonga faced Nattie, the Canadian’s streak would come to an end and the undefeated wild beast of Tonga would become the new WWN champion! Rating: ****½
Consequences, shmonsequences There is a knock on AJ’s office door, and her other bodyguard, Jessica Havock, lets in Awesome Kong. Kong said she was called for. AJ nods, saying that as a result of her actions against Athena last week, their match at Caged Fury is cancelled. Also, Kong is suspended, without pay for one month. As Kong takes a step towards AJ, both Tonga and Havock move in. Kong laughs, saying that it doesn’t matter. Athena will be back, so will she. She will get her revenge, sooner or later. Rating: *½
A definite break-up Backstage, a teary-eyed Heidi is looking for Mia Yim, shouting out to her about where she was. Heidi is angry, but in her anger-filled haze, she doesn’t see Mia blindside her from behind. Mia pummels down on Heidi and sends her into the wall. She hits her with the patented Kick Me Goodnight before grabbing her hair and telling her that she never loved her. And now, she was useless to her. Rating: *¾
This just in… We see Donna Lee in a trainer’s office, being checked out after her match against Kong. A couple of other trainers run past, telling them that they need help. Heidi Lovelace has been knocked out. Donna shakes her head, telling herself that she knew it would come to this. She still gets up and follows the trainers to where Heidi is laying. Donna kneels over her, telling her that she should have listened to her. The trainers pull her back, telling her to get out of here. Rating: ****¼
War Games preview In a sitdown interview, D’Angelo Dinero and Serena talk about the upcoming War Games match. We see footage from all the previous War Games matches. 2010: Team Hemme defeats The Stamford Divas when Alissa Flash submits Melina. The invading WWE divas came up short against the stalwart TNA defenders. 2011:The House of D, led by Daffney, defeated a coalition of The Beautiful People and Gail Kim when Mickie James submitted Velvet Sky. 2012: Team Del Rey defeated Team Nana when Alissa Flash submitted Nana. 2013: The Alliance defeated The Old Guard when Melanie Cruise submitted Winter. 2014: B*****s in Black defeated The Old Guard when Gail Kim submitted Tara… the Old Guard never managed to succeed in a War Games match. 2015: The IV Horsewomen defeated SexiNation when Alissa Flash submitted Mercedes Martinez, making Flash a 3-time War Games winner. Rating: ***¼ Nattie Neidhart, Tonga Tapa & Jessica Havock w/AJ Mendez & RD Evans vs Sasha Banks, Saraya Knight & Serena in a 6 woman tag team match In a prelude to the War Games match coming up, six of the involved women tangled in a tag match here. You could see that while there was some tension between Serena and Saraya, they managed to cooperate and act professionally. The same cannot be said for the other team, who had not one, but two managers running interference and sticking their noses where they shouldn’t be. Saraya tried to teach AJ a lesson, but she was cut off by Tonga Tapa, who defended her boss by brawling with Knight on the outside. After Spearing Havock, Serena went for the pin, but RD Evans dragged off the referee. As he was being sent away, Nattie Neidhart clocked Serena with the title belt and made the cover.
Team AJ defeated Team Sasha in a 6-women’s tag team match when Neidhart pinned Serena after 10:38 Rating: *½
Card rating: **½
Card notes: With Caged Fury and War Games looming only 10 days away, the excitement is growing. Next week, The Roses will be in action against AJ Mendez & Taya.

WWN SHOWDOWN - 2016.09.14
Why oh why?! Tonight’s Showdown starts with a video of the relationship between Mia Yim and Heidi Lovelace, culminating in Heidi being left high and dry during their tag match last week. We then go to video of Mia and Val sitting inside a diner, drinking coffee and talking about Heidi and how they fooled her. Heidi comes in, wet and dirty from the rain. Her make-up is smered all over, and she asks how they could do such a thing. SoCal Val says it’s not personal, they just attempted to exploit her weakness to their benefit. Mia tells Heidi she’s a vile and disgusting creature, why would she ever want to be with her? A waitress then comes over and tells Lovelace that she cannot be there. Mia and Val laughs as Heidi is shown the door. Rating: *
LuKana vs Bates & Gallows - Non-title match Even though they don’t know who they’re facing at Caged Fury, LuKana looks ready. With stiff kicks, rapid tags and a plethora of tricks up their sleeve, they look like a tough nut to crack.
LuKana defeated Bates & Gallows when Kana forced Leva Bates to submit to the Kana Lock in 02:52 Rating: *
Ashley Flair is back After undergoing some sort of total makeover a few weeks back, Ashley Flair has stayed home, not wanting to show her gruesome appearance to the world. She’s back now, and her looks have normalized. She passes a few trainers, who all tell her she looks good. Two people who don’t agree, are Bully Sky and Bully Ray. With her boyfriend in tow, Sky comes over, telling Flair that she’s disappointed in her for reverting back to her conservative days. Where’s the Flair spirit in that? Ashley says that her father might have been a dealing and wheeling son of a gun, but he didn’t go around looking like a carbon copy of someone else. Sky says that she can never try to copy her, neither in looks or skills. Flair says we’ll see, as they’re facing each other later tonight. Rating: ****½
You’re next A video airs of Nattie Neidhart walking backstage, when her path is suddenly blocked by Tonga Tapa. The big bodyguard of AJ Mendez asks Nattie if she’s ready for Caged Fury. Nattie smiles, asking Tonga if she’s on an errand from her master. Tonga says that when Team AJ wins Caged Fury, she’s coming for that belt. She points to the World Title. Nattie says she’s looking forward to being the first to ever defeat her. Rating: *1/2
Saraya Knight vs Sarona Snuka Saraya looks more than ready to enter the dreaded cage and fight for Team Sasha this coming Saturday. As she battled Snuka, she focused on trying out various submission moves. The only way to win War Games is by submission, and Knight would surely prefer to not only be on the winning team, but winning the match by herself. She cinched in her regular finisher, ending the match by submission.
Saraya Knight defeated Sarona Snuka with the Bridal Rocking Chair in 04:10 Rating: ***
I’m sorry A video airs of a teary-eyed Heidi Lovelace talking about her recent misadventures to her friend Donna Lee. Lee looks only partially interested, and after another sobbing outburst from Heidi, she’s had enough. Donna says that she tried to warn her, but she wouldn’t listen. And now, that she finally has realized what everyone understood all along, she comes running back? Donna tells Heidi she’s on her own. As Heidi’s life just got worse, AJ Mendez comes in, apparently having heard the conversation. She offers to give Heidi the match she needs. Against Mia Yim at Caged Fury. Heidi nods in agreement as an angry look forms on her face. Rating: **
Ashley Flair vs Bully Sky w/Bully Ray Flair was not too happy about the makeover treatement she got from Sky, and was adamant in giving her own kind of makeover. The violent one. With both the strength and height advantage, Bully was fighting an uphill battle. Still, she’s experienced and ruthless enough to have quite a few tricks up her sleeve. One of them is her boyfriend, Bully Ray. A well-timed distraction, a finger to the eye and a small package did the trick for Sky this night.
Bully Sky defeated Ashley Flair with a small package in 06:42 Rating: *¾
Do something! A video airs of Nattie Neidhart complaining to RD Evans about being threatened by Tonga Tapa. She demands he do something, a deal with AJ or something. RD says that Nattie should just focus on War Games and winning that match. When Tonga Tapa comes along, if she ever makes it that far, they’d worry about that then. Saraya Knight walks past, telling them both that they shouldn’t worry about Tonga at all. It was her they should worry about. When she put someone, anyone, in the Rocking Chair, there was no escape. Rating: ***¼
The Roses vs Taya & AJ w/RD Evans, Tonga Tapa & Jessica Havock Taya and AJ might seem like an odd pairing, but with both Tapa and Havock, as well as RD Evans, it looked like all of Team AJ rallied behind the GM and Taya. After some small distractions early on, Serena and Sasha Banks made their way down to even out the number’s game. The Roses work fluidly together as a team, but had trouble coping with Taya’s strength. They had much more luck with the smaller and out-of-practice-AJ, who was quick to tag herself out when she didn’t have the advantage. After Taya had hit a swinging slam on White Rose, AJ tagged herself in and directed Taya to take care of Black Rose. AJ then hit the Sliced Bread to win the match for her team.
Taya & AJ defeated The Roses when AJ Mendez hit Sliced Bread on White Rose after 06:19 Rating: *¾
Full brawl Serena and Sasha had barely registered their teammates loss when Havock and Tonga blindsided them. The burly bodyguards tossed them into the guardrail and continued to stomp on them. In the ring, Taya and AJ kept putting the boots to the Roses. Saraya Knight made her way down with a chair, laying out all of Team AJ. Nattie Neidhart ran in to stop her, but when she was confronted by Saraya, Nattie opted to grab RD EVans and getting the hell out of there. Looks like the battle line are drawn for this weekend! CAGED FURY - 17.09.2016
A video package detailing the various rivalries and feuds which come to a close here tonight airs in the opening minutes. It focuses on the War Games match, of course, the dreaded 10-women double cage match that has been a staple of WWN since the first year.
Dixie presents the new top players The show opens with Dixie Carter standing in the ring. Dixie says that since the move to Wednesday nights, they knew they needed to invest in some proven A-list players. These two will debut tonight, and they will debut challenging for the WWN Tag Team Titles. Dixie introduces former WWN World Champion Gail Kim and her partner, former WWN Tag Team Champion, Mickie James!
Mickie and Gail come down, saying to Dixie that watching WWN grow to where it is today has been terrific, but everyone knows who held it afloat in the past. Gail and Mickie are back to make sure everyone knows how important they are and what they bring to the table. Tonight, they make sure that WWN has a-lister’s as tag champs again. The crowd is not quite sure how to react to Mickie and Gail, but most are happy to see them again. Rating: *¼
Heidi Lovelace vs Mia Yim w/SoCal Val Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, so the proverb says. After being fooled thoroughly by the dastardly Yim and her manager, Heidi Lovelace has finally seen through the charade and realizes that it was all fake. All the feelings, the moments shared and the promise of finally finding someone you connect with on a deeper level - all fake. The match had its fair share of outside brawling, the two women setting the stage for the crazy bedlam coming up later tonight. Val did her part in swinging the contest in Mia’s favor, but tonight Lovelace’s motivation and determination proved to be the deciding factor.
Heidi Lovelace defeated Mia Yim with the Shining Wizard in 10:38 Rating: **
.. but I love you? After her hard-fought victory, Heidi calls in Donna Lee. Lee enters the ring, but rejects Heidi’s attempts at a conciliatory hug, making the situation awkward. Heidi apologizes for being a fool and for treating Donna so poorly. She bemoans the fact that it took something like this to truly know where one’s heart belonged. With her - Donna. Donna snatches the microphone away from Heidi, telling her that she won’t be her rebound. She tells Heidi to get lost. As Donna leaves the ring, Heidi breaks down in tears. Rating: *
Awesome Kong vs Donna Lee Kong’s suspension has been lifted, and the former two time World Champion is back in the ring. She beat Donna a few weeks ago on Showdown, but the Queen of the Ring showed great potential in that bout, and managed to secure herself a rematch. While Lee had several flashes of offence, taking the larger opponent unaware, it was clear that it was only a matter of time before Kong caught her and hit her with the Awesome Bomb. After hitting an Implant Buster for 2, Kong signalled for the Awesome Bomb. Just then, her half-sister Athena ran down to the ring, catching Kong’s attention. This allowed Donna to recover, and as Kong was busy with her sister, she ambused Kong from behind. A barrage of fists and kicks sent Kong reeling into the corner. Keeping the onslaught on, Lee ascended to the second turnbuckle and hit a Joshi Tonic from the second rope to pick up the upset win.
Donna Lee defeated Awesome Kong with the Yoshi Tonic in 09:05 Rating: ¾*
Come here, you little! Donna celebrated, but Kong wasted no time trying to locate Athena. As she found her, Athena turned and ran, shouting that she was still not cleared to wrestle. A camera follows the chase, which moves out from the crowd and backstage where wrestler’s and staff alike leap to the side to avoid the warring siblings. As Athena suddenly realizes she has run into a dead end, several male trainers emerge from a corridor and blocks Kong’s path. They say she’s not cleared to fight. Kong says that she should have thought about that before she decided to stick her nose in her match. The trainers warn Kong that she has just come back from suspension, and Kong reluctantly moves away. Rating: ****¾
Ready for war! A video airs from backstage, where Team Sasha is ready for the upcoming fight. The women have war paint on their faces as Sasha puts on a short, but motivational speech. The Roses jump in the air, arms outstretched as Saraya and Serena don’t take their eyes off of each other. This alliance is tenuous! Rating: **¾ Ready for battle! Another video airs, this time from team AJ. The General Manager is dressed for action, and together with her two bodyguards, the WWN World Champion and RD Evans’ bruiser, Taya, they’re also ready for War Games. AJ promises to lead them to the promised land as Tonga Tapa stares hungrily at Nattie Neidhart’s World Title. Rating: **
Bully Sky w/Bully Ray vs Ashley Flair The former WWN TV Champion was looking to even the score with Bully Sky in this one, using her power and reach to send Sky to the outside for a breather early on. She even got up in Ray’s face, slapping him and daring him to do the same to her. While he never touched Flair, he was a distracting presence that allowed Sky to get back into the match. He also helped pull his girlfriend to the ropes as Sky was trapped in the Figure Eight. The finish came when Sky ducked the Natural Selection, rolling Flair up with a crucifix pin and pulling the tights for good measure.
Bully Sky defeated Ashley Flair with a crucifix pin after 07:38 Rating: ***¼
Gail Kim & Mickie James vs LuKana (c) Tonight marked the 7 month anniversary of LuKana’s title reign, and the Canadian-Japanese duo had already set a record in number of defenses with 9. Gail and Mickie’s return filled the crowd with excitement, and even if the experienced duo quickly started using underhanded tactics to battle the champions, the crowd was fully into the match. While both knew LuFisto from her previous stint in WWN, Kana was an unknown quantity for them. Her kicks and strikes sent them reeling, but they always managed to find a way back into the fray. Kim and James had the advantage of knowing who their opponents were before tonight, and with the help of a new double-team elevated DDT, they were able to pin LuFisto to become the NEW WWN World Tag Team Champions!
Kim & James defeated LuKana when James pinned LuFisto after the EMT in 15:10 Rating: ***¼ (Gail Kim & Mickie James won the WWN World Tag Team Championship)
Team AJ (AJ Mendez, Nattie Neidhart, Taya, Jessica Havock & Tonga Tapa) vs Team Sasha (Sasha Banks, Saraya Knight, Black Rose, White Rose & Serena) in a War Games Match Serena and Taya were the first two in the cage. As both knew they would be in there for the long haul, they started one-upping each other with technical maneuvers. RD Evans won the coin toss for his team, and sent Jessica Havock into the steel cage. Havock has had wars with Serena before, and picked up just where she left. Against the two more powerful opponents, Serena struggled to find her footing. That all changed when Saraya Knight entered the cage as Team Sasha’s number two. The veteran punch and clawed at her opponents, rubbing their faces into the steel mesh. As both Havock and Taya were laid out, Serena and Knight had a tense staredown moment, but the tension faded and they kept on with their attack. Tonga Tapa was next, and the undefeated Tongan sent Serena and Saraya reeling with clotheslines. She must have briefly forgotten about the rules of the mach, as she tried to pin Serena after a Tongan Drop. Team captain Sasha was next, and while the three members of Team AJ were bigger and more powerful, the cunning TV champion took them down from behind, clipping their legs and even cinching in the Bank Statement on Taya. She tapped, but it had no effect on the match. Seeing that the TV Champ was already inside, RD sent in the World Champ. Nattie went straight for Saraya, but almost got into an altercation with Tonga Tapa, who had her eyes set on the Brit. The brief dispute was broken by White Rose entering, hitting several of the opposing team members with flying cross bodys or flying clotheslines. The fiery exuberance of White Rose spread throughout Team Sasha, who took it to their bigger opponents.
Finally, GM AJ Mendez entered herself. A little wary since her team was on the receiving end of a thorough beating at this point. She launched herself at Sasha, but the guerilla attack was quickly stopped by Saraya who hoisted AJ off of Banks. The entire team slowly moved in on AJ, who cowered in the corner. This allowed Taya, Havock and Tapa to strike back though, and the match became more even. Black Rose entered as the last contestant, copying her superheroine partner with flashing moves from the top rope right off the bat.
The stars aligned when Serena, Sasha and the Roses were able to squeeze Havock, Tapa and Taya between the ropes and the cage. With limited space to maneuver, they were trapped! In the middle of the ring, Saraya took down the world champ with a sitout powerbomb before grabbing AJ, repeating the move and then twisting her into the Bridal Rocking Chair. AJ screamed at the of of her lungs that she quit.
As the cage doors opened, all members of Team Sasha celebrated the wins. As Team AJ argued on their way out, Saraya Knight grabbed a microphone. Since she won the match for her team, she gets to pick match, opponent and match type first. She wants Nattie Neidhart in a World Title match. She wants her this Wednesday on Showdown. And she wants an Iron Woman match. Nattie and RD protest vehemently, but AJ, who was just arguing with Nattie whose fault the loss was, agrees to the match, sending a parting glance to Nattie for good measure.
Team Sasha defeated Team AJ in a War Games match when Saraya Knight forced AJ Mendez to submit to the Bridal Rocking Chair in 21:49 Rating: ****¼
Show rating: ***¼
Show notes: All the members of Team Sasha now gets to pick a match of their choosing, but a certain match can only be chosen once. So only Saraya gets a world title match. It is expected that The Roses will go for the Tag Team Titles, so that leaves Sasha and Serena. What will they pick? Tune in to Showdown to find out!

WWN - Showdown - 2016.09.21
Tonight is a historic night in WWN as it marks the very first Iron Woman match in WWN history. Saraya will challenge Nattie Neidhart in a 30-minute match where the winner is whoever wins the most falls during that time.
Sitdown interview with Saraya A video shot earlier in the day shows Josh Matthews sitting down with the challenger for the WWN World Title, Saraya Knight. He asks her about what must surely be toughest match of her career. Saraya says she’s had many tough matches during her years, but considering her age, it might just be the toughest. Not only that, she fought for over 16 minutes in a brutal cage match only four days ago. Nattie entered much later, and has had time to recover. Saraya admits that time is running out for her if she’s to be a two-time champion, but she still has a few years - and many hard fights - left in her. Rating: ***½
RD lodges a formal protest In AJ Mendez’ office, RD Evans files a formal complaint against AJ for abusing her power when she handed Saraya an Iron Woman match. She let the loss influence her decision-making, which was understandable. It was still not too late to change her mind. AJ tells RD (and Nattie, who stands cross-armed in the background) that the stipulations were quite clear. Saraya could choose whatever match she wanted. It had nothing to do with the fact that Nattie’s inability to do her job in the ring cost them the victory. Nattie yells at AJ that she wasn’t the one that submitted. AJ tells them to get out before she let Saraya start with a 1 fall lead. Rating: ****½
Serena challenges Sasha As Sasha and the Roses are seated in a lounge, waiting for the Iron Woman match to air on the TV screen, Serena joins them. She tells Sasha that she has talked to AJ and has been granted a TV Title match next week. Sasha smiles, saying she would’ve guessed that much. She promises Serena a good match. The two shake hands. Rating: ***
Nattie Neidhart (c) w/RD Evans vs Saraya Knight for the WWN World Title in an Iron Woman Match With 30 minutes to go, Saraya charged Nattie from the bell. Neidhart was totally unprepared for the blitz-like assault from the challenger. After a series of punches in the corner and several stiff kicks, Knight hit a sitout power bomb to knock the air out of Neidhart and win a fall before the first minute!
x Saraya Knight pinned Nattie Neidhart with a sitout power bomb 00:49
When the break period was over, Knight assaulted Neidhart again, forcing the champ to take cover on the outside. Most people might have thought that Knight would be more on the defensive after taking an early lead. Not Knight. She brawled from the start. There was nowhere to hide on the outside, and when RD tried to get between the challenger and the champion, he received a haymaker of his own. Back in the ring, Knight went for a new power bomb, but Neidhart had there wherewithal to resist and hit a backdrop. The fast-paced start had earned Saraya a lead, but it had also worn her down. She was visibly tired when we passed the 15-minute break. Still, Nattie’s attempt at an equalizing fall was thwarted by Saraya kicking out from pinfall attempts or blocking submission attempts. She got locked in the Sharpshooter twice, but didn’t tap out. One time, she managed to twist her body, the second time she grabbed the bottom rope. At the 25-minute mark, a rush of adrenaline gave Saraya a second wind and she had Nattie trapped in the Bridal Rocking Chair. Nattie fought, tooth-and-nail, and managed to kick her off. The champ dug deep, and almost took Saraya’s head off with a discus lariat. Nattie locked in the Sharpshooter, and even though she held on for quite some time, Saraya eventually had to give in.
x Nattie Neidhart made Saraya Knight submit to the Sharpshooter in 28:12
Nattie was really on the defensive for the remaining minute, not letting Saraya get too close. She went outside to let the time go, rolling back in temporary to avoid being counted out. Saraya finally got hold of Nattie on the outside, and even though she pounded relentlessly on the champion, it was too late.
Nattie Neidhart and Saraya Knight drew 1-1 in a 30-woman Iron Woman Match Rating: ** (Nattie Neidhart retained the WWN World Title in her 11th title defense) The fans chanted “5 more minutes”, but Nattie and RD retreated, refusing to give in for the demands. Again, Nattie Neidhart is unable to defeat Saraya Knight, but she still manages to hold on to the WWN World Title.
Show rating: ***
Show notes: They drew at Tropic Tumble, they drew now. Saraya won the War Games match and has a DQ victory over Nattie from June. It still doesn’t matter. Neidhart is the WWN World Champion, Saraya is not.
Behind the scenes:
The success of WWN as of late has led to the first WWN House Show tour. This marks the very first House Show tour of a women’s promotion!
A couple of Road Agents will leave WWN by the end of this month. Pat Kenny is one of them, as he wants to focus more on his family. Gregory Helms will focus more on TNA, as he is also on-screen talent there.
The biggest news is of course the rumors that WWN World Champion, Nattie Neidhart is leaving. It is no secret that the Hart family wants her back in the WWE where they feel she and the rest of the Hart family belongs. Even if WWE’s Diva’s division pales in comparison to WWN, it is believed that Nattie has asked to be relieved of her duties as WWN Champion. As the next iPPV is Through the Gates of Hell, it is believed that it will be her last show as champion.

WWN SHOWDOWN - 2016.09.28
Tonight on Showdown, Sasha Banks will have to defend her TV Title against one of her teammates from War Games - Serena! Also, Ashley Flair will have another attempt at getting even with Bully Sky, as they meet in a Caged Fury rematch.
AJ introduces the Gates of Hell As we approach our next big event, General Manager AJ Mendez came down to the ring to present Through the Gates of Hell. As is tradition, that show will feature a 4-woman elimination match where the purposes is to toss the other 3 women out of the cage door and therefore becoming the only woman still left in hell. The WWN World Title would be on the line. AJ said that the participants would be announced in the following weeks, but rest assured, there would be no qualifying tournament or the like. She decided who deserved to be in the iPPV or not. Rating: ***¼
Training montage It’s a flashback to the 80’s as we see the former WWN Tag Team Champions, LuKana, train harder than ever to regain the titles. Kana is seen screaming at LuFisto as she runs a military style obstacle course. Later, LuFisto screams words of encouragement at Kana as she sweats heavily during a session of bench-pressing. The former champions have received notification that they have been promised a rematch for the WWN Tag Team Titles, currently held by Mickie James and Gail Kim, at Through the Gates of Hell. Only problem, Kim and James will face the Roses in two weeks, and might never reach Through the Gates of Hell as champion. Nevertheless, LuKana would be ready to win back the titles! Rating: **¼
Ashley Flair vs Bully Sky w/Bully Ray The former WWN TV Champion hasn’t fared so good against Bully and her shadow, the experienced former wrestler Bully Ray. With the legendary tag team wrestler in her corner, Bully has stacked up several victories against Flair, included at Caged Fury earlier this month. Ray was a factor in this match as well, distracting the referee and allowing Sky to poke and scratch her way to the advantage. He even pulled Sky to the ropes when Flair cinched in the Figure Eight. Earlier, Flair had let this get to her, but now she kept on pushing, finally getting a bang for her buck when she hit the Natural Selection. Bully Ray tried to reach in for the referee, but couldn’t get to it in time.
Ashley Flair defeated Bully Sky with the Natural Selection in 06:42 Rating: ***
Sasha’s demands In AJ Mendez’ office, Sasha takes a fistful of macadamia nuts as her sworn enemy, AJ, looks at with distaste. She asks why she requested this meeting, she is a busy woman. Sasha says that the winners of the War Games match have all had their matches scheduled. Saraya tried and failed winning the WWN World Title. Serena will fight for the Tv Title tonight and in two weeks’ time, the Roses would challenge for the Tag Team Titles. That leaves… her? Doesn’t it? AJ asks if she had anything in mind. Sasha says she wants her, AJ Mendez, one-on-one in the ring. And the loser must refer to the other one as “the Boss”. Forever. AJ smiles and says that is an option, but wouldn’t Sasha rather want to be in the cage at Through the Gates of Hell? Sasha says she doesn’t have to wait until TtGoH for their match, they can do it right here on Showdown. AJ tells Sasha to choose. She can either wrestle her, or fight for the grandest prize in the industry. Sasha says becoming the World Champion will most likely piss AJ off even more, so she chooses the World Title match. Seems we have our first challenger set! Rating: ***
Trouble in paradise? Backstage, Bully Sky is irate with her boyfriend for the loss against Flair. She blames Ray for not being able to break up the pin or pull out the referee. A DQ loss would have been preferrable. She tells him he’s become too fat and complacent and needs to work out on his cardio more. Rating: ****¼
Kimberly vs Sexi Star The biggest star of Lucha Libre, Sexi Star, is back in WWN! The beautiful, masked luchadora took on Kimberly tonight, and showed that she had absolutely stayed in shape in Mexico. Her speed, agility and masterfully developed lucha skills took Kimberly unawares. The former TV Champion tried to mount a counteroffensive, but Star wouldn’t be outshone on her big return, picking up the 1-2-3 after her finisher.
Sexi Star defeated Kimberly with the Swinging Fisherman Suplex in 04:15 Rating: ****
Saraya wants a rematch Saraya Knight bursts into AJ Mendez’ office, demanding a rematch against Nattie Neidhart. It was a travesty to have their epic Iron Woman encounter end in a draw. AJ agrees, but says it’s nothing she can do about it. There are other in line for the title shot. Saraya grabs hold of AJ’s hair, almost pulling her over the table before she is restrained by Havock and Tapa. As AJ screams for them to get her out, RD Evans appears in the background, having been hidden from view all this time. RD thanks AJ for making a sound decision. AJ says that next week, Tonga Tapa and Saraya will meet for the top contenders spot. So either way, Nattie will have her work cut out for her. Rating: ***¾
Who are these guys anyway? A video airs of the WWN Tag Team Champions, Gail Kim and Mickie James are watching the training montage of LuKana. They are not overly impressed, laughing and snickering as they watch the somewhat cheesy montage. Mickie asks Gail what the h**** is wrong with these people. One looks like she has had a jetlag since she arrived here, while the other is clearly more at home in a trailer park or wrestling in front of 20 people at a bingo hall. Gail chimes in, saying that in two week, they will defend their belts against two women believing themselves to be a pair of superheroes? Things just went from bad to worse. Rating: ***
Saraya gives her old enemy a piece of advice As Serena prepares for her big fight against Sasha Banks, she is approached by her old arch enemy Saraya Knight. Knight says that she must forget all about the friendship and the respect she feels for Sasha tonight. This is about the prize around Banks’ waist, nothing else. She can guarantee Serena that Sasha doesn’t care that they were allies at War Games. All that mattered for her was winning the match. She doesn’t have any friends. Serena says she’s been in the business for a long time, she doesn’t need Knight’s advice. Rating: ****½
Sasha Banks (c) vs Serena for the WWN TV Title Friends and allies in our War Games match earlier this month, rivals and competitors for the TV Title tonight. It was clear that Knight’s word rang true, as Sasha used the illusion of good sportsmanship to lure Serena in for a roll-up and a near fall. Serena must have forgotten that even if Sasha is well-liked, she also likes taking shortcuts. As the match wore on, it became obvious that Sasha was just a little bit more ruthless, a little less hesitant to inflict pain on someone she called friend. Maybe it’s true what Saraya told Serena earlier, that Sasha has no friends? Serena finally understood the predicament she was in, taking Serena down with a couple of suplexes. Serena had scouted Banks’ Bank Statement, and manages to roll out of it pretty quick. She didn’t see the follow-up school-girl though, and just like that, Sasha Banks retains. After a tense stare-down afterwards, they finally shook hands and hugged.
Sasha Banks defeated Serena with a school-girl after 10:58 Rating: ****¼ (Sasha Banks retained the WWN TV Title in her 7th defense)
Show rating: ***¾
Show notes: Sasha is victorious in her defense, and as we learned, may become the first ever double champion as she is also going to enter the cage match at Through the Gates of Hell. Next week, Tonga Tapa and Saraya Knight will decide who’s the top contender in WWN!

WWN - SHOWDOWN 2016.10.05 Welcome to Showdown! We see a recap from last week, where Serena was unsuccessful in winning the TV Title from Sasha Banks. Also, we see AJ Mendez announce that next week (as in, tonight), Tonga Tapa would face Saraya Knight for the top contendership in WWN. The walls have ear Backstage, a few trainers and wrestlers are watching the intro of Showdown. Taya is there, scoffing at poor Serena’s failed attempt at winning the TV Title. Taya says that Serena is so over her prime that it’s embarrassing. She has nothing to do in any title picture. The others watching quietly depart, as it is revealed that Serena actually is there, listening. Taya tries to act nonchalantly, saying that she just says what the others are feeling. Serena tells Taya to put her money where her mouth is by facing her next week. Taya accepts. Rating: *** Donna Lee vs Ivelisse After rejecting her former best friend Heidi Lovelace a few weeks ago, we have seen a vicious streak in the Queen of the Ring’s demeanor. Against the returning Ivelisse, Donna was aggressive and hard-hitting, not letting the former TV Champion dominate the match at all. The submissions of the Puerto Rican were blocked or broken up by reaching the ropes, and she just couldn’t cope with the superiority of Donna tonight. Donna Lee defeated Ivelisse with the Yoshi Tonic in 03:48 Rating: **½ Match set In AJ Mendez’ office, AJ and Heidi Lovelace are watching the match between Lee and Ivelisse. AJ compliments Donna, saying that she has really come far this year. Too bad she didn’t want to be Heidi’s rebound girlfriend, though. Heidi is not enjoying her stay so far, and asks bluntly what AJ wants. AJ wanted her here to say that she has booked the former friends in a match at Through the Gates of Hell. Donna has already accepted it, saying she looks forward to it. Heidi tries to hide her sadness, but still manages to say she’s looking forward to it too. Rating:**¾ SoCal is the welcoming committee We see a video of Sexi Star walking backstage as she is approached by SoCal Val. She welcomes Sexi to WWN and says that her victory last week was impressive. She hands her her card, saying that if she needs representation, she’s the one to go to. She bids Sexi adieu and walks away. Sexi looks at the card before throwing it in the bin. Rating: ***¼ Athena vs Heidi Lovelace Athena is back in action after having her jaw broken by her half-sister Awesome Kong. Their scheduled match at Caged Fury has been postponed to Through the Gates of Hell, and Athena wanted to show everyone she was ready. You could see that Heidi was affected by the fact that she would be facing her former best friend Donna Lee at Through the Gates of Hell, as she had problems getting into it. Her striking strength was more than matched by Athena, who looks stronger and more powerful than ever. After a fast-paced and exciting match, Athena was able to hit a stunning spinebuster followed by her top-rope stunner to put Heidi away. Athena defeated Heidi Lovelace in 08:05 with the O-Face Rating: **** Watch your back! Athena couldn’t celebrate long, however, as her enraged sister Kong attacked her just after the bell. The warring sisters brawled across the ring, breaking up their brawling to toss Heidi out of the ring when she came in the way. Athena was quicker to turn back to Kong, taking her down with a DDT and sending her outside. After ramming Kong’s hand into the turnbuckle, Athena picked up a chair and sent it against Kong. Security ran down to separate them, but Kong managed to push her way free and attack Athena again. Athena delivered a jaw-cracking superkick that caused Kong to land atop the security! At this point, more security came down to separate the two of them. Can Showdown contain these two until Through the Gates of Hell! Rating: ***¾ We are ready! Backstage, the masked superheroines known as The Roses are trying out poses in preparation of their big title match next week. White Rose says that while nobody else believes in them, she is certain that they will soon walk around with the tag team championships around their waists. Black Rose does a little dance, saying that it would look oh-so-nice on her little waist. Kim and James may underestimate them, but come next Wednesday, they would see what the Roses are all about. Rating: *** Sitdown with Mia Yim “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero has had a chat with Mia Yim. He talks about her affair with Heidi Lovelace, but Mia cuts him off, saying that it’s still a touchy subject for her, being let down by someone she thought wanted the best for her. Dinero continues, asking Mia if she still his faith in SoCal Val as her agent. It just hasn’t brought her anywhere. Mia says she has full confidence in Val, she is the only one on her side. She just needs more opportunities from the office, an office that apparently prefers handing out chances to newcomers. Like Sexi Star. She quits WWN a year ago, and now she just waltzes right in and gets matches and a big hype and everything. How about focusing on someone who will actually be here day out and day in? Mia says that if she sees Sexi Star in her ring, she will put her to sleep before you know it. Rating: **¾ Saraya Knight vs Tonga Tapa - Top Contenders Match It’s just been two weeks since Saraya Knight lost to Nattie Neidhart in an Iron Woman match for the WWN World Title, but AJ Mendez had graciously given her another opportunity. If only she could move past the undefeated beast Tonga Tapa first, that is. Many would have felt fear or nervousness in locking it up with the Tongan, but Saraya just smiled. And in a couple of minutes, you saw why. For the first time since debuting here in WWN over a year ago, Tapa was on the receiving end of a beating. The veteran didn’t let up before the ref tore her away from Tapa cowering in the corner. As the referee admonished Knight, Tapa recovered and struck back, blinding Knight with a poke to the eye. Tapa used her power game for a good couple of minutes now, even hitting the Tongan Drop. Saraya landed too close to the ropes, however, and put her foot on it. Down came RD Evans, arguing that Knight put her foot there too late. The referee had no idea why RD would come down there to argue Tapa’s case, but as the rest of us saw Nattie Neidhart run down and clock Saraya with the title belt - all became clear. Tapa hoisted Knight on her shoulders and hit the Tongan Drop again for the win. As Saraya came to in the ring, Tapa and Neidhart shook hands on the ramp, AJ and RD behind their clients. The murder in Knight’s eyes was evident. Tonga Tapa defeated Saraya Knight with the Tongan Drop in 10:18 Rating: **** How long can you hide? A video airs of AJ Mendez and Sasha Banks in an abandoned warehouse. AJ says she’s glad Sasha agreed to meet her here, alone. Banks says she’s not totally alone. Ever since AJ had her attacked at that motel, her hired hands have been looking out for her. Sasha mentions that AJ might have met them? AJ laughs nervously, saying that she doesn’t know what Banks talks about. She just wanted Sasha to look at the cage they would be using. The unforgiving, unyielding steel cage. The implement of war that would shave away years of her career, months of her life. And when she got thrown out of it, it would feel like it was for nothing. Sasha grabs AJ and pushes her against the cage wall. She tells her that she doesn’t know what game she’s playing, but win or lose come Through Gates of Hell, she would get AJ in the ring sooner or later. And when she did, all the pain and suffering and trouble AJ has inflicted on Banks this year, would be returned tenfold. Hell, if it took putting her recently won World Title on the line, she would do it. Just to see AJ embarrassed. The two have a staredown as the show credits roll. Rating: ****½ Show rating: ***½ Show notes: Tonga Tapa is still undefeated, and in two weeks she will face Nattie Neidhart for the World Title! Their match two months ago ended in a no-contest when Saraya Knight interfered. Will the British matron mother of wrestling sit this one out? Or will she make her presence known? We have another title match for you next week, as The Roses are cashing in on their War Games prize and challenging the new tag team champions, Mickie James and Gail Kim. See you then!

WWN - SHOWDOWN 2016.10.12 Welcome to a new Wednesday evening, welcome to a new Showdown! Last week, the undefeated Tonga Tapa became the new top contender after beating Saraya Knight. Tonight The Roses challenge Mickie James and Gail Kim for the WWN Tag Team Titles. The suspense, the action.. It all starts now! You’re so dead! RD Evans is walking backstage, talking on his phone when someone suddenly smacks the phone out of his hand and pushes him up against a wall. It’s Saraya Knight, who has been cheated out of a title match with Nattie Neidhart on several occasions now, including last week when RD’s client helped Tonga to a victory. Saraya asks RD where his loyalties really lie. With Nattie, or AJ. Does he forget that Tonga is undefeated? Why in the nine hells do they prefer to battle her over an old, British woman? RD is visibly afraid, but stutters that Saraya should take it as a compliment. He admits that Nattie has scraped past Saraya in the past, but for how long? Tonga has had it easy so far, she hasn’t faced the likes of Nattie yet. RD tells Saraya that he can help her get a title match. Saraya tells him to speak, and to speak quickly. Rating: *** Awesome Kong vs Kimberly The date has been set. November 5th, Through the Gates of Hell. Former two times WWN Tag Team champions Awesome Kong & Athena will face each other. Not only that, the sisters will square off in a streetfight! Kong started the streetfighting early, attacking Kimberly on her way down and brawling around the ring before taking the match into the squared circle. After a minute or so, Kong used a choke lift on Kimberly, a move she didn’t let go off even if the ref counted to 5. After the disqualification, Kong choke-bombed Kimberly and stared maniacally into the camera. She is more than ready for Athena. Kimberly defeated Awesome Kong by disqualification in 02:41 Rating: ** We’re no joke Backstage in the gym, Lufisto approaches Kana as she’s running the treadmill. She says that Gail Kim and Mickie are walking around claiming that LuKana are two amateurs that only held the WWN Tag Team Titles because the competition was horrible. Lufisto says that she has wrestled for almost twenty years, all over the world. And herself, Kana, is one of the best to have ever come out of Japan. It is no coincidence that they became the team with most title defenses in WWN history. Kana says, in broken English: “tonight, we send them a message”. LuFisto looks at Kana, not knowing fully what she means. Kana smiles wickedly and mutters something in Japanese. Rating: * Final challenge made Backstage, Bully Sky catches up with Ashley Flair. She tells her that this has gone on long enough. She felt that she was done with her after Caged Fury, but apparently not. They have to wrestle each other one more time - to settle it once and for all. Flair says she’ll be happy too, but as she doesn’t have a white trash boyfriend in her corner, she’s afraid the playing ground is not entirely even. Bully says that Ray ruined the match for her last time, and will not be around for the next meeting. ‘Boyfriends banned from ringside’, she says. Ashley agrees to a match next week. Rating: * Jealousy rears its ugly head Backstage, we see SoCal Val leave a message to Sexi Star on the phone. She bumbles a few phrases in (obviously) bad Spanish before hanging up. As she turns, Mia Yim is there. She is angry with Val for wooing Star. Val says she decides for herself who to represent. She doesn’t see it as a conflict of interest. Mia says that all those old, burnt-out stars coming back to take the spotlights from the youngsters is hurting the company. Val tells Mia to concentrate on her wrestling game. Rating: *** Serena vs Taya Taya was out on her own tonight against the veteran. She didn’t seem to take this match very seriously, patting Serena on the head a couple of times and suggesting that it might be time to hang up her boots. Taya is an impressive specimen, and her technical acumen is one of the best in WWN, no doubt. She had several close pinfall attempts after stiff kicks and high suplexes, but Serena wriggled out of them. Serena fought back with her brawling skills, rocking Taya. As Serena went for the Spear, Taya put her boot up. Serena deftly dodged it and hit a schoolgirl for the flash victory. Taya was in shock that her counter had been countered! Serena defeated Taya with a schoolgirl roll up in 07:16 Rating: **¾ Come here, you little! Serena was by far the most weary of the two, so Taya quickly struck, clubbing Serena in the back. She put the puts to her opponent and then hit her with the swinging side slam, sending har crashing down to the canvas. As she prepared for more beating, TV Champion Sasha Banks hit the ring. She drop kicked Taya’s knees, and then straight in the face to a sitting Taya. Taya rolled out of the ring and retreated. When she helped Serena up from the ground, Serena pushed Banks away. Banks threw her arms out, not understanding the hostility from her War Games partner. Serena left the ring, shouting to Banks not to pretend to be her friend. Rating: **¾ Nattie afraid for her safety We go to AJ Mendez’ office, where RD Evans and Nattie Neidhart sit. Nattie says that they expect the favor given to Tonga last week, to be repaid next week. Saraya will try to get even. What will AJ do about it? AJ says that she has told Saraya she is banned from the arena next week and that she will double the security. She thanks Nattie for the help, and hopes for a fair and straight-up title match next week. RD Evans is quiet during the meeting, but nods his consent. Rating: **** Mickie James & Gail Kim (c’s) vs The Roses for the WWN Tag Team Titles James and Kim were disgusted with their opponents tonight, even going so far as to go outside and ask Josh Matthews and D’Angelo Dinero if this was the best WWN could do. As the veterans were taken down by The Roses high-flying lucha assault though, they had to eat their words. After a brief offense, the champs gained control, isolating Black Rose and not letting her get the vital tag to her white-clad partner. It was a classic tag match to be sure, and when White Rose got the tag, she exploded into the ring, taking down both champs with a flurry of offense. It all became quite chaotic now, but the champs managed to quell the onslaught and toss Black Rose out of the ring. As Mickie James took her out with a dive from the apron, Gail Kim hit White Rose with the Eat Defeat in the ring to retain the WWN Tag Team Titles. James & Kim defeated The Roses when Kim pinned White Rose with the Eat Defeat in 09:50 Rating:****¼ (Mickie James & Gail Kim retained the WWN Tag Team Titles in their 1st title defense) This is not enough Kim and James continued to complain about the lack of competition (even though it was clear to all that the Roses put up a good fight), and continued to beat on their opponents. James was smashing Black Rose’s face into the apron as Kim was punching away on White Rose in the ring. LuKana then hit the ring, LuFisto starting to brawl with Mickie on the outside while Kana tore Gail away from White Rose and hit a superkick. The Roses and LuKana joined forces in fending off the champions, making them retreat cursing at the unfairness of this numbers’ game. Rating:* Show rating:**3/4 Show notes: Next week, Tonga Tapa challenges Nattie Neidhart for the WWN World Title!

WWN - SHOWDOWN - 2016.10.19 Welcome to what promises to be a big night for WWN! In the main event, the undefeated Tonga Tapa faces Nattie Neidhart for the WWN World Title. Also on the agenda, Bully Sky and Ashley Flair in a rematch from Caged Fury! Seal the building! A video from the entrance to the arena is shown. AJ Mendez and her bodyguard Jessica Havock are directing the security staff, giving clear orders that Saraya Knight is not to be let into the building under any circumstance. AJ wants a clean and fair fight for the World Title. She threatens to fire anyone who fails in their duty. Havock also promises to chokeslam anyone who doesn’t comply. Rating: ***¼ Bully Ray angry A video is shown of Bully Sky preparing for her match. Bully Ray seems upset that the contract for the match specifies that he cannot enter the ringside area. Sky says that he was a distracting presence the last time, and that she wants to prove to that brat Flair that she can win on her own. Ray is still angry, and wishes her luck somewhat sarcastic. Rating: ****½ Ashley Flair vs Bully Sky - Boyfriends Banned From Ringside After the ring announcer specified the stipulation that boyfriends were banned, Sky pointed out that she was the only one with a boyfriend, and that Ashley would soon become an old spinster with a lot of cats. The snide remark didn’t sit well with Flair, who enjoyed a longer offensive spell in the start of the match. Sky struck back and seemed to be doing OK on her own, until Flair delivered a long string of kicks, followed by the Natural Selection. Flair didn’t go for the pin, but cinched in the Figure Eight, forcing Sky to tap out. Ashley Flair defeated Bully Sky when Sky submitted to the Figure Eight in 04:38 Rating: ¾* Are you not worried about me? Backstage, AJ Mendez are walking around in constant radio contact with the security staff. “The Boss” Sasha Banks appears, commenting that this place is more secure than Fort Knox tonight. However, it seems all security precautions are focused on Saraya Knight. Isn’t AJ afraid that Sasha will take an interest in the title match. AJ smiles, and says no. AJ says that Sasha isn’t a vindictive old shrew. Sasha is already in the main event of Through the Gates of Hell, so it shouldn’t matter who is champ. In that regard, she is as devious and cunning as her. She doesn’t crave the same chaos as Knight. Sasha says AJ might be correct, but the comparison between them ends there. Sasha fights her own battles and doesn’t hide behind hired goons. And when they finally meet in the ring, it will be a short, one-sided affair. AJ’s smile disappears. She says she looks forward to Through the Gates of Hell, watching Tonga Tapa smear Sasha’s lifeless body across the cage. Sasha says she cannot wait. Rating: ***¼ The Champs Strike We see a video from backstage, where LuFisto is working out in an empty gym. A shadow appears behind her, and she turns and asks if anyone is there. Suddenly she is struck from behind. She tries to cover up, but the assailant soon becomes two. One of them slams LuFistos head down into a kettlebell, and LuFisto blacks out. We see that it is Gail Kim and Mickie James. Gail says that their aspirations to become two times champions has suddenly taken a turn for the worse. James tells LuFisto to go back to her bingo halls and let the real professional handle the big leagues. The champs laugh as they exit. The camera then zooms in on the unconscious LuFisto. Rating: **¼ The Exotic Goddesses vs The Roses Mandy and Hania still have one of the most elaborate entrances in WWN, entering with a full regalia of cultural appropriate clothes and headgears fitting their Egyptian and Native American ancestry. The Roses, superheroines as they are, are also appropriately dressed. Both teams have shown that they are more than just a fancy entrance. The speed and agility of Hania and Black Rose awed the crowd early on, while the more technically oriented styles of White Rose and Mandy appeased the wrestling purists. The Goddesses isolated White Rose and pulled all sorts of distractions on the referee to stop him from seeing any tag made to her partner. Ironically, it was Black Rose who was pinned with a handful of tights while Hania blocked the save. The Goddesses pick up another fine win and is one step closer to a title shot. The Exotic Goddesses (Hania the Huntress & Mandy Leon) defeated The Roses (Black Rose & White Rose) when Leon pinned Black Rose with a school-girl in 06:16 Rating: **½ A fox in the henhouse A video from backstage shows a security guard posted at a rear entrance checking in over radio and confirming that everything is in order. In the next second, someone grabs him from behind and applies a rear choke, quickly choking out the guard. It is RD Evans! The agent of Nattie Neidhart opens the back door and beckons to someone. It is Saraya Knight. RD and Knight look at each other, before RD tells Knight to do her thing. And then they are even. Knight nods and heads off into the darkness of the arena corridors. Rating: *¾ What’s up with that? Backstage, Sasha Banks approaches Serena and asks what happened last week. She saved Serena from Taya, and this was the thanks? Serena told Sasha that she can’t pretend to be her friend now, not after all her cheating and shenanigans last time they wrestled. Sasha says she won cleanly. Just because she treated Serena as an opponent, and not her BFF, doesn’t mean she cheated. Serena admits there is truth to Sasha’s words, and challenges her for another title match. Sasha says she can have it, but only if she fights like she actually wants to win. The two shake hands. Rating: ****¼ Nattie Neidhart (c) w/RD Evans vs Tonga Tapa w/AJ Mendez for the WWN World Title The undefeated Tonga Tapa failed in winning the WWN World Title last month when Saraya Knight hit the ring and caused the no-contest. With all the security measures in place tonight, AJ Mendez was pretty sure that this would go down fair and square, and that her dominant bodyguard would be champ when the ref counted the 1-2-3. She hadn’t counted on the fact that RD Evans had let Saraya into the building! The first 6 or 7 minutes were a more or less one-sided affair from Tapa, who used her strength and size to toss Nattie around the ring. She went for the Tongan Drop on more than one occasion, but the experience of Neidhart helped the champ counter or block the attempts. Nattie managed to down the challenger with a discus clothesline, but the Tongan kicked out effortlessly. As the match wore on, AJ seemed more and more certain of victory, especially when Tonga had a stunned Neidhart up in the Tongan Drop. She twirled around for good measure, wiping out the referee in the process. There was nobody to count! Not only that, to AJ Mendez big dismay, Saraya Knight hit the ring, attacking Tonga. AJ went for a chair, but Sasha Banks had jumped the security guard rail and took the chair from her. Inside the ring, Saraya clocked Tonga with Nattie’s title belt and then hit a power bomb on top of the belt! She draped Nattie across Tonga and revived the referee. With a little bit of help, Tonga Tapa is no longer undefeated! Nattie Neidhart defeated Tonga Tapa by pinfall in 11:58 Rating: **½ (Nattie Neidhart retained the WWN World Title in her 12th title defense) Chaos ensues Saraya Knight was far from done. She entered the ring and powerbombed Nattie on top of Tonga, before knocking down RD Evans from the apron with it. AJ attacked Sasha, and the two brawled until Jessica Havock came out with the security staff, forcibly carrying Banks away. Inside the ring, the security staff had to separate Knight, Tapa and Neidhart in three corners. They couldn’t hold on to a belt-wielding Knight, however, who forced her way out and charged Nattie. The world title picture is as volatile as ever! Rating: ***¼ Show rating: **¾ Show comments: After over one year, someone has finally defeated Tonga Tapa. Maybe not by fair means, but in the history books of WWN, Nattie will always be listed as the winner. Saraya Knight’s short-lived alliance with RD was surely broken when she blasted him with the gold belt. It’s a fair bet to say that the four women involved in the match tonight, will also be the four wrestlers in the cage at Through the Gates of Hell. Until next week!
