WWN SHOWDOWN - 2016.10.26 At the start of tonight’s show, we see clips from last week, when interference from Saraya Knight caused Tonga Tapa to lose the World Title match against Nattie Neidhart. Not only did she lose the title match, she also lost her amazing no loss streak after over one year. Tonga is losing it We see a video of Tonga Tapa, the formerly undefeated wrestler, losing it backstage. She is completely trashing the catering area, including throwing things at the caterers. When Kimberly tries to stop her, the Tongan slams her through a table. She is roaring and screaming and several trainers, include Billy Gunn must come to and calm her down. Certainly, losing didn’t sit very well with Tonga Tapa. Rating: **½ Let me give you some pointers A new video airs, this time of Sasha Banks sweating it out on a treadmill. She pauses the mill when Taya enters the gym. The Canadian says that she’s here to help Sasha out. As she might remember, Taya has had some experience with Serena, Sasha’s opponent next week. She starts giving Sasha some tips about how to avoid the Spear, when Sasha just stops her right there. She says she knows Serena well enough, and doesn’t need her help. What is more, she doesn’t want to be put in Taya’s debt. Taya scoffs and tells Sasha to suit herself. Rating: **¼ The Exotic Goddesses vs LuKana The extravagant goddesses picked up a big win last week against The Roses, but tonight’s match against the former tag team champions promises to be their biggest challenge so far. Many have pointed to the fact that their tactics may be controversial, but Hania and Mandy don’t seem to care. While Kana and LuFisto dominated the first couple of minutes, some illegal double teaming shifted the match in The Goddesses’ favor. Isolating LuFisto, they again showed great skill in not letting her tag Kana, and if she did, the referee was distracted and annulled the tag. To the rescue! thought The Roses. The eccentric superheroines came down just in the nick of time, preventing Hania from running around the ring and pulling Kana down from the apron. The Japanese fighter came in a house of fire, nailing Mandy with several kicks. After downing her with a hip attack, Kana cinched in the Kana Lock to take the victory home for the top contenders to the Tag Team Titles. LuKana (LuFisto and Kana) defeated The Exotic Goddesses (Mandy Leon & Hania the Howling Huntress) when Kana made Leon submit to the Kana Lock in 07:52 Rating: ***¾ Let’s prepare her We are in AJ Mendez’ office, and the General Manager has called in Jessica Havock. AJ admits that Jessica hasn’t been given a lot of opportunities lately, but this will change, starting tonight. Sasha Banks is defending her TV Title next week, but tonight, she will face Jessica Havock. AJ tells Jessica to not care about the result, just to make sure Sasha is not 100 % going into the match next week. Jessica nods obediently. Rating: *½ No rest for the good LuFisto and Kana are on their way back to their locker room after their match, when they are attacked from behind by Gail Kim and Mickie James. The WWN Tag Team champions take them totally by surprise, and combined with the fact that they just had a gruelling match, they don’t stand a chance. Mickie hits Kana with a DDT on the floor while Gail hits the Eat Defeat on LuFisto. Mickie warns the two of the danger of believing they actually can with the titles back at Through the Gates of Hell. Rating: ** Mia Yim w/SoCal Val vs Sexi Star The return of Sexi Star has understandably garnered a lot of attention around WWN, something that didn’t sit too well with Mia Yim. When her agent, SoCal Val started making overtures to her, well, it only made Mia’s day worse. The two squared off tonight, and after a fast-paced, lucha-inspired beginning, Mia was sick of being taken down by armdrags, and almost kicked Sexi’s head off. After showcasing her striking skills, Sexi took control again, using submission moves to wear her down. After blocking the dreaded Fisherman Neckbreaker, Mia scuttled out of the ring. She shook her head and said she didn’t need this. Val tried to get her to stay, but Sexi did win this match via a countout. Sexi Star defeated Mia Yim via countout in 06:18 Rating: **¼ Tell me it isn’t true A sad Heidi Lovelace approaches Donna Lee at the vending machines. She begs Donna to tell her that she never requested a match between them, that it was that bitch AJ who orchestrated it all to split them up. Donna says AJ had nothing to do with it, and there never was any “them”. Heidi was too blind to see what was right in front of her, and Donna refuses to be her rebound. In fact, she wouldn’t want her if she was the last woman on the planet. Donna says she’ll see here at Through the Gates of Hell. Rating: **½ Whose side are you on? The world champion is visibly upset with her agent for what transpired last week. She is frustrated for not being told that he would smuggle in Saraya Knight. RD says it was best if as few people as possible knew. RD says it was a one-time deal, and that Knight clearly is not an ally of them. Nattie warns RD of any more surprises. Evans hold up his hands and says there will be no more surprises. All he wants is for her to keep the title. Nattie says ‘good, I have a lot of offers, so you better step up your game’. Nattie leaves, and RD doesn’t look too happy about being talked to in that manner. Rating: *¼ Jessica Havock vs Sasha Banks - non title match Sasha is defending her championship next week against Serena, and AJ Mendez, the good GM that she is, decided to soften Banks up a little by having her battle her big bodyguard Jessica Havock. J-Hav used her strength and size to toss Sasha around in the opening, but “the Boss” managed to get Havock down using some nice takedowns and started working on her submissions. It isn’t easy to get some decent holds in on somebody at that size. Still, Havock had AJ’s instructions fresh in mind, and starting using blatant chokeholds on Sasha. When the referees tried to wrest her away, she pushed down the referee, causing the disqualification. When Jessica turned her back to Banks, the TV Champion hit her with the backcracker and the Bank Statement. Jessica tapped, but this wasn’t a match anymore, so nobody came to her help. Sasha let go, and Havock rolled out. Sasha looks ready for next week! Sasha Banks defeated Jessica Havock by DQ in 07:10 Rating: ¼* Contract signing AJ and Awesome Kong were already in the ring when Athena entered to her music. The two half-sisters circled each other in the ring as a gleeful AJ watched them. She reminded them that if they touched each other before Through the Gates of Hell, they wouldn’t get their match! Kong signed first, telling her younger sister that she would regret stabbing her in the back. Athena shot back, saying that she was ashamed of being related to her. She was once a fierce and brutal fighter, but now? She is soft and weak. Kong says that at Through the Gates of Hell, she would find out that she was neither soft, nor weak. Athena gave her signature, and after a brief staredown they left the ring without touching each other. These siblings collide in 10 days! Rating: *¾ Show rating: *¾ Show notes: There’s only 10 days to Through the Gates of Hell. Next week, Sasha Banks defends her TV Title against Serena

WWN SHOWDOWN - 2016.11.02
Welcome to the last Showdown before Through the Gates of Hell. Tonight, Sasha Banks defends her TV Title against Serena.
An awkward(?) meeting In the arena coffee shop, Serena and Sasha Banks bump into each other. Serena smiles and says this is awkward, but Sasha brushes her off. Sasha says Serena might be the veteran, but she might have a thing or two to learn from “the Boss” about keeping job and personal life separate. She has no trouble sitting down with her opponent and grabbing a cup of coffee. Serena grabs her latte and says just like on a wedding day, she prefers saving some of the mystique for the main event. She leaves Sasha smiling as she stares after her challenger. Rating: ***½
Val fixes Mia a rematch A video airs of SoCal Val approaching Mia and asking her what she pulled last week, walking out of the match and losing by countout. Mia verbally attacks Val, saying that she feels it’s unprofessional of her to represent both wrestlers in a match. Val says she doesn’t represent Sexi Star, she represents her. Either way, she has managed to get a rematch for Through the Gates of Hell, and hopes Mia will stop making a fool out of herself there. Mia says she’ll destroy that bitch. Rating: **½
Sarona Snuka vs Sexi Star The masked luchadora is used to wrestling guys in Mexico, so wrestling a bigger woman like Sarona didn’t pose a new challenge at all for Sexi. Snuka’s offense isn’t pretty, but it’s effective and solid. Star had to rely on her speed and lucha skills to gain the momentum. Snuka couldn’t keep up with the guerilla attacks and fell to the Fisherman Neckbreaker. As Sexi celebrated, SoCal Val could be seen at the entrance ramp, clapping and giving Sexi a thumbs up.
Sexi Star defeated Sarona Snuka with the Fisherman Neckbreaker in 03:49 Rating: ***
Please, don’t do this A video airs of Heidi Lovelace showing up at Donna Lee’s apartment. Heidi says that it isn’t too late for them. She says she’s sorry for taking her for granted, sorry for not seeing her for who she was and what she really meant.. Why couldn’t they go back to things like they were? Donna asks Heidi why she can’t make up her mind? First they’re friends, then she wants them to be together, and now she wants to be friends again? The only thing that’s certain, is that on Saturday, they will be opponents. And she was going to hurt her. Bad. She slams the door in Heidi’s face. Rating: **¾
Athena vs Ivelisse This was a fast-paced match between two hard-hitting broads who are in the prime of their lives and on top of their game. Athena has the most important match of her life on Saturday, when she fights her sister Awesome Kong in a Career vs Career Street Match. Kong watched this match from the announce booth, and while the tension was thick, they were prohibited from touching each other so they didn’t. AJ Mendez had promised to cancel the match if so happened. Athena took home the win in this match, but it might be the last one for “the Wrestling Goddess”.
Athena defeated Ivelisse with the O-Face in 06:12 Rating: **¼
Where are we? The Roses are walking backstage, when mists suddenly engulfs them. As they try not to panic, a howl is heard in the distance. As they turn towards it, a black cat crosses the hallway, prompting White Rose to proclaim it an ill omen. They turn again, and Hania the Howling Huntress appears. She tells them to stay out of their affairs. The Roses hear a meowing sound and turns towards the cat again. The cat is gone, but Mandy Leon is there. The Egyptian Princess tells them to stay out of their divine affairs. She screeches like a hawk, and everything goes black. When The Roses open their eyes, they are alone in the hallway. Black Rose says that they’re Superheroines. It’s their jobs to intervene in people’s affairs. Rating: ***¾
Donna Lee vs Jessica Havock Lee is more focused and determined than ever, and if wrestles Heidi on Saturday the way she wrestled Jessica Havock tonight, Lovelace is in trouble. The bigger woman in the ring, Havock hasn’t wrestled all that much lately, but she was still surprised by the amount of which Donna dominated this match. It was as if the weight difference didn’t matter. Jessica did get a hold of Donna, but when she tried to follow up the suplex with a big splash, Donna rolled away. A stunned J-Hav tried to get to her feet, but was hit with the Shining Wizard from Donna. That’s Heidi Lovelace’s finishing maneuver! Rating: ****
I know what you did In AJ Mendez’ office, Solicitor RD Evans was looking thoughtfully into the whiskey glass handed to him by the GM. AJ said that she knew it was he who let Saraya Knight into the building. She could appreciate his effort in wanting to protect his client, she really could. However, she also knew that it was only a time before that wretched British hag took the title back or Tonga Tapa got revenge from being screwed two weeks ago. And if that wasn’t enough, RD very well knew that his infraction could lead him to losing his Agent’s license. And he didn’t want that, did he? RD quickly shook his head. AJ smiled and said she was glad they’re on the same page again. AJ said it was best for both of them if Tonga Tapa walked out of that cage as the last woman, thereby winning the WWN World Title. RD didn’t respond. Rating: ****¼
Sasha Banks (c) vs Serena for the WWN TV Title Friends or rivals, they still shook hands before the match tonight, giving the crowd an example of true sportswomanship. Both are well versed in the technical aspects of the game, and there were a few near falls early on through pinning combinations. Sasha was the first to bring out the big guns with a double knee in the corner, and followed suit with a series of mounted punches. Serena was more ready for the assault now, and fired back with kicks and strikes, sending a knee in the face of Sasha to send her crashing to the outside. While Serena of last match would have waited for Banks to get back in, Serena went after her and attacked her on the outside. As Sasha fought back, it almost looked like she liked the fire in Serena. Back inside the ring, “the Boss” maneuvered herself into position for the backstabber->Bank Statement combo, but when she latched onto Serena, the challenger twisted away, causing Sasha to crash and burn. As Sasha got back to her feet, Serena met her with the Spear, driving the air out of her. Serena made the cover and is your NEW TV Champion!
Serena defeated Sasha Banks with the Spear in 09:10 Rating: *½ (Serena won the WWN TV Title)
Don’t rest on your laurels As Serena helped Sasha back on her feet and extended her hand to the former champion, Taya ran in and struck Serena from the back. Taya put the boots to Serena, inviting Sasha to join in. The former champ apparently wanting nothing to do with the situation, and rolled out of the ring, disappointed of having lost her precious TV Title. As she heard the crowd boo her decision, and saw Taya hit Serena with a spinning side slam, Sasha rushed back to the ring and sent Taya out of the squared circle with a drop kick. She helped Serena back to her feet as Taya yelled at them from the outside. Rating: *¾
Card rating: ***
Card notes:
Through the Gates of Hell is this Saturday! Will Nattie Neidhart’s 10-month long reign come to an end in the most merciless match of them all? She has history on her side. Of the 6 title matches that have been held in that cage, the challengers have never managed to oust the champion from the cage. The only exception was last year, when the match between Saraya Knight, Sara Del Rey and Jessica Havock ended in a draw when the cage collapsed.
The card is as follows:
Nattie Neidhart (c) vs Saraya Knight vs Sasha Banks vs Tonga Tapa for the WWN World Title in a Through the Gates of Hell Match Mickie James & Gail Kim (c’s) vs LuKana for the WWN Tag Team Titles Athena vs Awesome Kong - Loser Leaves Town Streetfight Mia Yim w/SoCal Val vs Sexi Star Donna Lee vs Heidi Lovelace And just in.. Taya vs Serena in a non-title match

WWN - Through the Gates of Hell MMXVI - 2016.11.05
Welcome to Through the Gates of Hell! Tonight, the biggest and most dangerous match of the year will tell us who walks out of here the WWN World Champion. Will Nattie Neidhart be able to defend the world title against Sasha Banks, Saraya Knight and Tonga Tapa? Speaking of which..
You are ready A video airs of General Manager AJ Mendez helping Tonga Tapa prepare for her World Title Match tonight. AJ says it’s not that long ago she helped Tonga get out of another cage. She’s come a long way since then, and it all comes full circle tonight. The loss to Nattie the other week was a fluke, a travesty courtesy of Saraya Knight. Tonga says that it will be strange not trying to get out of the cage, but she knows what’s at stake. She will leave her new prison, but she will leave with more gold than when she went in. Rating: ***
Athena vs Awesome Kong Former two-time tag-team champions. Sisters. Best friends. Now bitter enemies. It all started when Sisters of No Mercy failed to win their tag team titles back from LuKana. Athena couldn’t accept the new Awesome Kong, lighter but also with less power. Their feud has been marred with injuries and suspensions, but tonight it was all on the line. Everything was legal, and the loser had to leave WWN. As the bell rang and the two women circled each other, something surreal happened. Sarona Snuka ran in with a baseball bat, attacking Awesome Kong. Athena walked around her sister, laughing. She picked up a microphone, saying that GM Mendez had warned them that if they touched each other before the match, the match would be cancelled. As Snuka suplexed Kong on top of the bat, Athena continued. She said not only did she not touch Kong during the lead-up to this match, she’s not going to touch her tonight either. She was actually going to send her packing without touching her. Snuka hit the Superfly Splash on Kong. Athena took the bat, poked it into Kong’s chest and got the 1-2-3. And just like that, two-time world champion Awesome Kong is out. What was this match?
Athena defeated Awesome Kong by pinfall in 02:51 Rating:*
Serena vs Taya - non title match Serena defeated Taya last month, but a lot has happened in the meantime. For starters, Serena is the new TV Champion, winning the title for the second time in her career. Secondly, Taya made it quite clear she’s gunning for the title, attacking Serena seconds after winning. This was not for the title though, but a victory here would certainly propel Taya to a certified title match. Serena felt reinvigorated after pulling out the win against Sasha Banks on Wednesday, and dominated Taya both in the technical aspect and during a brief outside brawl. Serena’s confidence got the best of her when she crashed and burned with her trademark Spear, ramming her shoulder on the post. Taya hit a Northern Lights, bridged over and finished off Serena with a double foot stomp. The Championship may not have been on the line, but Serena’s reign didn’t start off very well.
Taya defeated Serena with a double foot stomp in 09:10 Rating:*½
Nattie to worry about A video airs of Nattie Neidhart walking around backstage biting her finger nails, watching her World Title belt nervously as it lies on a chair. RD Evans enters the room, asking her why she hasn’t start preparing for the match yet. Nattie grabs him by the throat, pushin him up aainst the wall and says she knows he’s going to betray her. AJ Mendez knows what he did, and she’s making him pay. RD pushes her away, telling her that she’s paranoid, and no wonder. She’s held on to the belt for 10 months now. Statistically speaking, she should lose it soon. But, if we are talking statistics, nobody has challenged for and won the World Title in the Through the Gates of Hell match either. And there is only one wrestler in the entire world who has defeated all three of her opponents tonight, and that’s her. Nattie nods, apologizing for her behaviour. She goes to change, adding that RD’s probably right. Nothing to worry about. Rating: ****½
Ashley Flair vs Ivelisse This was an unscheduled match, but a welcome addition to the show either way. Both women desperately needed the win. Ivelisse hasn’t had much luck since returning to WWN and Ashley Flair has just not got back to the level she was when she battled Nattie Neidhart for the title. Ivelisse tried to wear down the bigger opponent with submission moves, while Ashley went a more straight-forward route of kicking Ashley in the face. It was therefore quite ironic that it was Ashley who pulled out a submission to force Ivelisse to tap.
Ashley Flair defeated Ivelisse when Ivelisse submitted to the Figure Eight in 06:12 Rating:***¼
Donna Lee vs Heidi Lovelace The love story between Donna and Heidi is a long one, and unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be ending on a good note. Unlike the romantic comedies of Hollywood, this won’t end with someone racing to the airport preventing their loved one from getting on the plane. No, it will probably end in the squared circle. Heidi was hesitant at first, not wanting to hurt the woman she once called friend and perhaps had stronger feelings for. She just endured the beating. She didn’t even try to kick out after a suplex attempt, but Donna saw it and pulled her up. She yelled at Heidi to fight her like a woman! Finally, after being slapped like a dozen times, Heidi fought back with the same tenacity as Donna. It didn’t look like she liked it though, and was on the verge of tears when she hit the Shining Wizard on Lee and made the pinfall cover.
Heidi Lovelace defeated Donna Lee with the Shining Wizard in 09:19 Rating:**
Mia Yim w/SoCal Val vs Sexi Star The last time these two met, Mia Yim walked out on the match, surrendering the win via countout. Yim is not happy that her manager, SoCal Val, is trying to score another client. For Val, this might be a win-win situation. Would she keep the winner on as a client and dump the loser? That being said, Star has not seemed overly receptive to the idea of Val as her manager. This match wasn’t too long, but it was a fast-paced, high-flying, lucha-inspired battle with dives both inside and out of the ring. Val showed her true colors when she pushed Sexi Star off the ropes as the luchadora was poised to dive out on Mia. Star looked to have twisted her ankle, and Mia capitalized quickly, throwing her into the ring and hitting the dreaded goodnight kick to take home the victory where it counted - on the iPPV.
Mia Yim defeated Sexi Star with the Kick Me Goodnight in 06:38 Rating: ****½
Saraya warns Sasha Backstage, Sasha is preparing for her match when Saraya walks into the locker room and smashes a locker shut. She tells Sasha to not get in her way tonight. Everyone knows it’s AJ Sasha wants. She doesn’t want the World Title. Not yet, at least. Sasha says Saraya doesn’t know shit about what she wants. Yes, she wants to hurt AJ in the worst way possible. Taking the title would do just that. So Saraya better watch out, because in that cage, there are no friends, only enemies. Saraya tells Sasha she’ll regret this. Rating: ***¼
LuKana vs Mickie James & Gail Kim (c) for the WWN World Tag Team Titles The attacks and harassment from the champions came back to bite them in their asses tonight, as LuFisto and Kana showed the two just what two “indy wrestlers” could do. In the opening minutes, Mickie and Gail were badgered all over the ring and on the outside. They didn’t take control until Gail managed to drop toe hold LuFisto into the ring steps. They then controlled Kana in the ring, executing all sorts of double team maneuvers on her to wear her down. But the “Empress of Tomorrow” didn’t yield! In fact, she fought back, decking Kim with a backfist and tagging LuFisto. “The Wounded Owl Ronin” came in and did what she does best, cannonballing her opponents and inflicting as much pain and damage as possible. Suddenly, all four were in the ring, and superkicks and punches were handed out. A superkick from Kim sent LuFisto straight into the Mickie-DT, planting her to the ground and securing the victory for the champions.
Mickie James & Gail Kim defeated LuKana when James pinned LuFisto with the Mickie-DT in 11:04 Rating: ****¼ (James & Kim retained their WWN World Tag Team Titles in their 2nd title defense)
Nattie Neidhart (c) vs Saraya Knight vs Sasha Banks vs Tonga Tapa in a Through the Gates of Hell match for the WWN World Title All eyes were set on these four women entering the dreaded cage. They felt the steel mesh graze against their fingertips, they rattled the structure to hear the ominous sound and later they felt its merciless sting as they were thrown at it. There were no alliances in this one. Any AJ-RD alliance fell out the window the minute RD let Saraya Knight into the building a few weeks ago. Saraya and Sasha are just two lone wolves, their alliance limited to Caged Fury last month. On the outside, AJ Mendez watched intensely, not only to make sure Tonga won, but to make sure Sasha lost. As Banks and Knight brawled on the outside, AJ persuaded the ref to open the cage door. Just as he did, Sasha irish-whipped Saraya towards the exit, but Knight reversed it and caused Sasha to be eliminated. She crashed into AJ, and while the GM laughed at first, the fists connecting with her face wiped the smile quickly off of her face. Security (and Jessica Havock) carried Banks away.
x Saraya Knight eliminated Sasha Banks in 09:24
Knight tore into both Tapa and Nattie, and the two turned their attentions toward her. Together they got her out of the ring and thrown into the cage. As Tonga pummeled a prone Knight, Nattie went over to open the door. As she did, she took her eyes off of Tonga, who charged her and shoulderblocked her out of the door! Nattie Neidhart has lost her title! Nattie just started screaming at RD Evans before marching out of there, her solicitor hot on her heels.
x Tonga Tapa eliminated Nattie Neidhart in 13:52
Saraya and Tonga never entered the ring again, opting to battle it out around the ring. Saraya got tossed into the wall like a rag doll, but refused to give in and fought back, sending Tapa face first into the ringpost. Tonga hadn’t forgotten that Saraya was the reason she no longer is undefeated, and as she roared in anger and hit a big Tongan drop on the steel steps, it looked like Saraya’s back had been broken. Tapa dragged Knight to the outside, rolling her out to win the match and the world title.
x Tonga Tapa eliminated Saraya Knight in 16:49
Tonga Tapa defeated Nattie Neidhart, Sasha Banks & Saraya Knight in a Through the Gates of Hell match Rating: **** (Tonga Tapa won the WWN World Title)
Show rating: ***½
Show notes: We have a new WWN World Champion! The (almost) undefeated Tonga Tapa got her revenge and for the first time, a challenger won the title in what is called the most dreaded match in WWN.

Behind the scenes:
Both Ivelisse and Sexi Star made their return to WWN this taping. They were part of the Faction War angle representing SexiNation last year and at the start of this. Rumors have it that they do not see eye to eye, so there will be no reunion between the two of them. WWN needs to stack up the roster with as many well-known wrestlers as possible to be able to keep their momentum up with the house show tours and new TV deal.
Another one who mentioned on her Twitter that she would be returning, is Madison Rayne. Madison is dating WWN announcer Josh Matthews, and will be coming back after a lengthy hiatus following the birth of her child. She will not be reuniting with Velvet Sky anytime soon though, as Sky recently got surgery for hernia. This injury will keep her out for the rest of the year.
The strange ending of the Loser-leaves-town match between Athena and Awesome Kong should just be forgotten. It was clear that Kong was leaving, but when Athena suffered an injury on the day before the match, the bookers decided to go for this solution. Athena claims to be well enough to do a streetfight, but she was not heard. As a result, Athena has decided to quit WWN immediately.
Taya will also be out for a short while, as she broke her hand on the house show tour. She will miss the next TV tapings. It was believed she would continue her program with Serena.
Finally, indy wrestler Taeler Hendrix joined WWN House Show tour and will be a part of the roster going forward. “Gingerlicious” is one to look out for, for sure!

WWN SHOWDOWN - 2016.11.09
Celebrate the new champion! As we start Showdown, Tonga Tapa, AJ Mendez and Jessica Havock is on their way down to the ring. The new WWN World Champion has the gold strapped around her waist as she strode down to her celebration. AJ grabbed the mic, saying that the most dominant woman in wrestling history had taken her rightful place at the top of the hierarchy. Last Saturday, Tonga survived a grueling bout against three other opponents, and in the end, she could walk out of the cage on her own, the winner of the world title match. Sasha Banks’ music plays, and “the Boss” comes out to a thunderous ovation. Sasha says she might have been eliminated first on Saturday, but she wanted a shot at Tonga’s title. She feels naked without gold around her waist. AJ starts laughing, asking if Sasha is joking? There is no way in hell she’ll get a title match. This brings out Saraya Knight, who congratulates Tonga on becoming the World Champion. She’s still AJ’s bitch though, with a personality like a dry biscuit. Saraya says that she’s the only viable challenger. With Nattie out of WWN, she’s next in line. AJ considers this for a moment, before saying that she agrees with Saraya, but unfortunately, Sasha Banks has already come out to claim her spot. AJ names Sasha the top contender. Saraya and Sasha bicker as they leave the ringside area. Rating: **¾
I’ll be back soon A video is shown of the WWN TV Champion Serena running into Taya backstage. Taya defeated Serena in a non-title match at Through the Gates of Hell, but suffered a broken hand during a recent house show. Taya tells Serena that she was lucky it was non-title, and if she hadn’t broken her hand, she would be next in line for the TV Title. Serena tells Taya she’s more than welcome to come for the championship when she was medically cleared. Taya says she will. Rating: **¾
LuKana vs Taeler Hendrix & Kimberly This was the debut of “Gingerlicious” Taeler Hendrix, a vivacious and buxom young redhead with a bright future ahead of her in the wrestling industry. I don’t think her teaming up with Kimberly will be a permanent thing, for they were certainly not on the same page against the former champions, who steamrolled their opponents tonight. Kana caught Kimberly in the middle of the ring, trapping her arm and applying the Kana Lock for the tap-out.
LuKana def. Hendrix & Kimberly in 03:38 when Kana submitted Kimberly with the Kana Lock Rating: **¼
Tonight is another night Backstage, Ivelisse corners Ashley Flair, warning her about taking their rematch tonight lightly. Ivelisse admits that her return to WWN hasn’t gone as she had hoped, and tonight was the night when she was going to rectify that. Flair smiles overbearingly, and says that she forced her to tap out at Through the Gates of Hell, and she would force her to tap out again tonight. Rating: ***
A shocking announcement Another celebration in the ring, this time it was Serena who was out to show off her TV Title to the crowd. Serena says that on Saturday, she did lose against Taya in a non-title match. That would be the final match she ever lost. She would go on and defend her belt against all comers, but the moment she lost it, she would retire. The crowd is shocked by this announcement! Serena says that injuries and age has taken its toll on her, and it’s time to hang up the boots. But not just yet, she hoped to hang on to this for quite some time, even breaking Madison Rayne’s record of 11 months and 7 days. Madison Rayne’s music suddenly plays! The former TV Champion enters to an ovation from the crowd. Madison says Serena is delusional if she thinks she will break her record. In fact, Madison wants to make this reign as short as possible by challenging Serena for the TV Title, right now! This brings out Heidi Lovelace. Lovelace says that she’s on a roll here in WWN. She has back to back wins on iPPVs against Mia Yim and Donna Lee, and if anyone deserves a title shot against Serena, it’s her. Madison says she’s never heard of those two, and the only thing that matters, is that she hasn’t defeated her yet. Heidi is happy to do so, right now! A referee runs down and the match is on! Rating: *
Heidi Lovelace vs Madison Rayne Even though Madison is an unrepentant rulebreaker of the worst kind, the crowd was happy to see her back, and cheered for her as she wrestled in her comeback match. On commentary, Dinero was asking questions as to whether Josh Matthews could be objective enough with his girlfriend in the ring. Josh said he was a professional, and that he would call the match as he saw it. Despite this claim, he was quite enthusiastic when Madison hit the Rayne Check and got the pinfall.
Madison Rayne defeated Heidi Lovelace with the Rayne Check in 07:19 Rating: *
Mia and Val are quite happy with themselves Backstage, Mia Yim and SoCal Val are reliving the iPPV match against Sexi Star by watching it on a PC screen. Val laughs of the idea that she would be representing Star. It was all a ruse with the purpose of luring Sexi into a false sense of security. At this point, Sexi Star enters the screen as well. She speaks in Spanish, but there are subtitles. She tells the two of them that they didn’t fool anyone. She was never interested in representation. This game was for their own benefit, nobody elses. And she was not done with Mia Yim. As she walks away, Val asks Mia if she understood a word of what she said? Mia shakes her head. Rating: **½
Is this the best you can offer? Inside AJ Mendez’ office, the current WWN World Tag Team Champions, Mickie James and Gail Kim are voicing their disapproval of the level of competition here in WWN. If LuKana is the best she can come up with, maybe she should start looking elsewhere for some decent competition. AJ replies that she’s sick of their complaining. LuKana was a dominant team until they arrived, and gave them a good match at Through the Gates of Hell. In fact, AJ feels LuKana deserves another shot at regaining the titles. As the champs try to protest, AJ cuts them off and says: “Now that didn’t quite go the way you wanted, now did it?” Rating: **¼
The deal of a lifetiime? Backstage, RD Evans approaches Sasha Banks. The solicitor says that Nattie has opted to end their working relationship and quit WWN altogether, so he’s in need of a new client to represent. Sasha asks why he’s telling her this. RD says despite the size difference, he is certain Banks is the only one with the wits, guile and skill to unseat Tonga Tapa as a world champion. Sasha says RD is certainly right, but that doesn’t change the fact that she does not need a manager, and certainly not him. RD reminds Sasha that he as an agent to champions. He can make her dreams come true. Sasha says that might work for all the other young girls he propositions, but not a boss like her. RD says she’ll regret this bad decision. Rating: ***
Ashley Flair vs Ivelisse In a rematch from Through the Gates of Hell, two former TV Champion faced each other in tonight’s main event. In fact, these two traded the title back and forth a couple of times between December of last year and March of this. You could see that they knew each other out and in, always finding a reversal or a counter for one of the other’s moves. It was Ashley’s power against Ivelisse’s ground skill and tenacity. At Through the Gates of Hell, Ashley won via the Figure Eight. This time, Ivelisse was ready, and scurried away at the first sign of it. The Puerto Rican had her own submission moves to attempt, but Flair had her well scouted. Despite this, Ivelisse got some retribution as she caught Ashley unawares with her wheelbarrow DDT. The two shook hands after the match as a sign of respect. Ivelisse defeated Ashley Flair with the Disdain DDT in 04:38 Rating: ***¼
Show rating: **½
Show notes: Sasha Banks is the new top contender to the WWN World Title, but there is no word yet as to when she will receive her title shot. Also, LuKana will get another chance of defeating Mickie James and Gail Kim next week.

WWN SHOWDOWN - 2016.11.16
Welcome to WWN Showdown! The show opens with Josh & D’Angelo announcing that Sasha Banks will have her title match against Tonga Tapa in two weeks time.
Sarona Snuka vs Sasha Banks Snuka is a large and powerful women, much like Tonga Tapa. It made perfect sense for Sasha to be preparing for the title match by going one on one against Sarona. While the size difference was significant, once “the Boss” got her bigger foe down on the ground, she worked over her with submission moves, eventually transitioning into the Bank Statement for the win. A really convincing victory for the top contender!
Sasha Banks submitted Sarona Snuka via The Bank Statement in 02:50 Rating: ****1/2
Sitdown with Sexi “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero has a sitdown interview with Sexi Star, with English subtitles. The masked luchadora says she doesn’t understand the hostility from Mia Yim and SoCal Val. It’s all based on jealousy. She admits losing to her at Through the Gates of Hell was hard, but she wouldn’t let that stop her. She came back to win matches and titles. Dinero asks her if she’s going for a rubber match, and Sexi Star answers that is a possibility. Rating:¾*
Havock wants the gold As AJ Mendez tries to complete some paperwork, her bodyguard Jessica Havock walks in and positions herself close to AJ. When the GM asks her what she wants, J-Hav says that she can do more than be her bodyguard. She wrestled for the World Title last year for heaven’s sake. She wants to be in the mix for the TV Title contention. AJ says ‘fine’, and books her in a match against Donna Lee later tonight. Rating: ***¾
Black Rose vs Saraya Knight The British wrestling matriarch may feel left out of the WWN World Title picture. She may feel that Tonga Tapa and AJ are avoiding her, that they are afraid of her and that they would do whatever they can do to keep her away from the new champion. They might be right in doing so, for watching a pissed off Saraya Knight is a sight to behold. While White Rose tried her best to cheer for her superhero partner, it was only a matter of time before Saraya tired of playing with Black Rose and cinched in the submission finisher.
Saraya Knight submitted Black Rose with the Bridal Rockin Chair in 05:19 Rating: ***
Still searching for clients A video is shown of RD Evans approaching the TV Champion Serena. The sleazy Evans offers his services, telling Serena that with him by her side, she can go on wrestling forever. Serena says her goal is not to wrestle forever, but to have a worthy, final reign. Having anything to do with him would tarnish this completely. RD puts on a sour face as Serena walks past him. Rating: ***
Don’t get your hopes up As Sasha Banks wraps up an interview with wwn.com, AJ Mendez comes past. She congratulates her with her impressive win earlier tonight, but points out that Tonga Tapa is on a completely different level. AJ hopes Sasha really doesn’t think she can win this one. Ruining other people’s dreams isn’t fun at all. “The Boss” says that she doesn’t think she can win. She knows it. If she really could have that ogre alone, one on one, that is. But she knows that a snake and a hippo will be present as well, obviously referring to AJ and Havock. This makes it a bigger challenge, but rest assured that Tonga’s reign will be a short one. She doesn’t get to say anymore, as Tapa strikes from behind, sending her crashing into a wall. As Tapa stomps away on a prone Sasha, AJ walks past and tells her to keep her uninjured. She wants Sasha medically cleared in two weeks. Rating: ***
Donna Lee vs Jessica Havock Ever since giving in to AJ Mendez and accepting the position as a bodyguard, Jessica Havock has been less and less involved in the ring. J-Hav desperately wants to prove that she’s capable of going after championships, and tonight was her chance to impress the boss. The feisty Lee is still the reigning Queen of the Ring, and while the past few months have been tough on Donna, with the love triangle between herself, Heidi Lovelace and Mia Yim, she showed tonight that she is a rising star. Despite having the size, strength and experience advantage, Havock fell to the Joshi Tonic.
Donna Lee defeated Jessica Havock with the Joshi Tonic in 04:49 Rating: *¼
This is not over A video airs of Donna Lee coming backstage after her win. She immediately seeks out Heidi Lovelace, her former friend. She tells Heidi that she might have bested her at Through the Gates of Hell, but this is not over. She wants a rematch next week. Heidi nods, telling Donna that the result would be the same. Rating: **
LuKana vs Mickie James & Gail Kim (c’s) for the WWN World Tag Team Titles While Gail and Mickie are worthy champions, everyone, including AJ Mendez are tired of them bitching about the lack of competition. It only backfired, as they had to defend their titles against the former champions yet again. The bout was another fine match between two well-oiled teams gunning for the biggest prize in tag team wrestling. This time around, the champs didn’t manage to isolate one of their opponents, leading to a thrilling back and forth match with several near falls. The match was cut short when The Exotic Goddesses, Hania and Mandy Leon came in and attacked LuKana, proclaiming to the world that they were not worthy title contenders.
LuKana defeated James & Kim via DQ in 07:04 Rating:**¾ (Mickie James & Gail Kim retained the WWN World Tag Team Titles in their 3rd title defense)
Pier 4 brawl James and Kim soon joined forces with the Exotic Goddesses in beating down LuKana, but the numbers game was soon evened out when The Roses came charging in as the superheroines they are. With stereo dropkicks they sent the Goddesses out of the ring. At the same time, LuFisto was able to fight off James and deliver the cannonball in the corner. Kana gave Gail Kim a stunning kick to the head, causing the champ to roll out. The Roses and LuKana stood tall in the ring as the show came to an end.
Show rating: **½
Show notes: As a result of what we just saw, The Roses and The Exotic Goddesses will face each other next week. We will also see a rematch between Donna Lee and Heidi Lovelace. Until next time!

WWN SHOWDOWN - 2016.11.23
The funeral of Sasha Banks The show opens up with what looks like a memorial service in the ring. Already in the squared circle, General Manager AJ Mendez and WWN World Champion Tonga Tapa. They are dressed as mourners, and around the ring are portraits of Sasha Banks. AJ grabs a microphone, shedding a false tear for Sasha. The camera pans out to give us a view of someone dressed as Sasha, purple wig and all. AJ says that this is a glimps of the future. This is what will happen with “the Boss” next week when she faces the WWN World Champion Tonga Tapa. She played with fire - and got burned. Sasha’s music hits, and “the Boss” runs down and slides into the ring. AJ and Tonga quickly skedaddle, AJ saying that they are dressed for mourning, not fighting. Sasha looks around and finds her look-a-like in the coffin. She pulls off her wig, and it’s Taeler Hendrix! Sasha pulls her out of the coffin and attacks her. AJ quickly calls for a referee as we go to a commercial. Rating: ***¾
Sasha Banks vs Taeler Hendrix We’re back from commercial. The coffin is gone from the ring and Sasha Banks takes out her frustration on the vivacious Taeler Hendrix. While the purple wig has been removed, she still wore the same clothes as Sasha uses to, so it was a somewhat weird encounter. With AJ Mendez and Tonga Tapa watching from the sidelines, Sasha made quick work of Hendrix, forcing her to tap out to the Bank Statement.
Sasha Banks defeated Taeler Hendrix with the Bank Statement in 02:38 Rating: **½
RD Evans’ quest for clients A video airs of Mickie James and Gail Kim backstage, watching Chef Irvine’s show on the Food Network. RD Evans suddenly pops in, standing in front of the TV and asking the girls if they want to make the deal of their lifetime. Mickie grabs him by the collar and says that whoever he is, he is in the way. Gail points out that she’d rather watch her husband than him. Evans looks surprised at the two, and asks them if they really don’t know who he is? Kim gets up as well, and when both women approach Evans menacingly, he figures he has outstayed his welcome. Rating: ***½
Rematch, por favor Backstage, Mia Yim is working on her jumping ability, SoCal Val watching with mixed interest as she’s also on her phone. Sexi Star walks by, prompting Val to hang up. Sexi says, in Spanish, that she doesn’t know what game they are playing, but she doesn’t like to lose. She want a rematch. Val says she’ll make the arrangements. Star leaves and Yim walks down to Val, asking what that was all about. Val says Sexi was eager to lose again. Rating: **
The Exotic Goddesses vs The Roses Last week, both the Goddesses and the Roses got mixed-up in the tag title match between LuKana and James/Kim. Now, the super-heroines and the mythic-inspired vixens faced each other two on two. Both teams want to challenge the established top teams in WWN, and wanted to leave no doubt that their opponents were far inferior. The Goddesses don’t shy away from using shortcuts in order to advance their goals. They are especially adept at cutting off one wrestler, and Black Rose struggled to get the tag from White Rose in this one. She finally did, steamrolling over Hania and Mandy with dropkicks and leg lariats, showcasing her insane jumping ability. White Rose came back in and went for the Rose Cutter, but Mandy held on to Hania’s legs from the outside, causing White Rose to slip and fall. Hania connected with a roundhouse kick to secure the victory.
The Exotic Goddeses (Hania & Mandy) defeated The Roses (White Rose & Black Rose) when Hania pinned White Rose after a roundhouse kick in 07:12 Rating: ***
Where’s my challengers In AJ Mendez’ office, the TV Champion Serena enters. She says that despite their past problems, she had hoped that AJ wouldn’t sabotage her run as TV Champion by not giving her any challengers. AJ says that since the stipulations are that she would leave when she lost, it’s important that she finds the best possible candidate so that she would leave as quickly as possible. As it is now, all the possible candidates are winning and losing to each other, and a clear top contender has yet to be decided. She will decide in a couple of weeks’ time. She tells Serena to be ready to defend her belt at Pride and Glory. Rating: **¼
What’s up? Backstage, a doctor is checking Taya’s cast as RD Evans walks in to speak with his “favorite” client. Taya says that now that Nattie is gone and he cannot find anyone else to represent, now he finds time for her. RD says he always has time for her and asks the doctor when she can be back in the ring. The doctor says that she will not be ready for action until 2017 due to a complicated fracture in the wrist. When she sees RD’s disappointment, she tells him that he’s fired. She can do just as good on her own. Rating: **
One more chance In AJ Mendez’ office, Jessica Havock asks for one more chance. The lack of matches has given her a severe ring rust. She needs time to get back into shape. She knows she can take the TV Title away from Serena. AJ ponders for a second, and tells Jessica she will have one more shot next week - against the longest reigning TV Champion in history, Madison Rayne. Havock tells her boss she won’t regret this. Rating: **¾
Donna Lee vs Heidi Lovelace In a rematch from Through the Gates of Hell, both Heidi and Donna proved why they are considered two of the company’s most exciting prospects. They kicked the living shit out of each other for close to 10 minutes, showcasing that women’s strong style is very much alive also in the USA. Whatever friendship (or more than just friendship) once was between these two are gone. They punched each other blue and red on the outside as well, Heidi sending Donna crashing into the ring steps. Lee wanted desperately to avenge the loss at TtGoH, but when Heidi blocked the Yoshi Tonic and instead planted her with a Gory Bomb variant, she was perfectly poised to yet again taste the Shining Wizard. Heidi wins this one as well!
Heidi Lovelace defeated Donna Lee with the Shining Wizard in 08:58 Rating: ***¼
You’re postponing the inevitable Backstage, Tonga Tapa is seen walking with the WWN World Title across her shoulder. She is stopped short by Saraya Knight, who tells Tonga that she’s only postponing the inevitable. Even AJ knows that the moment she is put in the ring with her, Saraya will slay the beast and become the new champion. Toying with poor Sasha will only make Tonga complacent. Tapa reminds Saraya that she has never been defeated without outside interference, and Saraya has no friends here to interfere for her. Saraya says she doesn’t need help. That belt has been away from her for far too long. And it’s coming back before the year is over. Rating: *¾
Show rating: **½
Show notes: Next week, Tonga Tapa makes her first defense of the WWN World Title as she goes one on one against Saraya Knight. Jessica Havock gets a final chance for consideration as top contender for the TV Title against Madison Rayna and The Roses gets a rematch against The Exotic Goddesses.

WWN SHOWDOWN - 2016.11.30
Welcome to a great night of action here on Showdown. Our main event of the evening is the WWN World Title match with Tonga Tapa defending the title against Sasha Banks! But first, let’s go to some tag-team action!
The Exotic Goddesses vs The Roses White and Black Rose lost last week to the Goddesses, in what can be called a slight controversy. It was clear that Hania received help from an illegal Mandy leading up to the finish. The superheroines got into the match a lot earlier than last time, taking out both their opponents with dual dropkicks early on. Mandy and Hania never really got their game going in this one, and after a double-team spinebuster, Black Rose ascended for the Frog Splash. The Roses celebrated in the ring post-match as The Exotic Goddesses cursed their bad luck.
The Roses (White Rose & Black Rose) defeated The Exotic Goddesses (Mandy Leon & Hania) when Black Rose pinned Hania after the Frog Splash in 03:35 Rating: *½
Let’s stack the deck against ourselves A video is shown of Mickie and Gail in an en empty ring, practicing their ground game. After a few quick exchanges and a stalemate, Gail tells Mickie that the only one that can challenge her, is Mickie herself. They don’t have a real challenge in the tag division. Mickie says she has an idea. She wants to prove to AJ that there really isn’t any competition - by defeating three teams at once. Gail thinks this is a fantastic idea. Mickie says she will send AJ a mail about it. Rating: *½
Wrong door A video airs of “the Pope” D’Angelo Dinero walking into a backstage toilet, only to find Taeler Hendrix busy putting on some makeup. The Pope quickly checks to see if he has the right bathroom, and when he confirms that, he tells Taeler that this is the men’s room. Taeler walks up to Dinero, walks slowly around him while she lets her arm linger seductively on his shoulder. She licks her lips sensuously as she tells him that she isn’t shy, so why should he? D’Angelo excuses himself and asks how she’s been doing so far in WWN. Taeler pouts and says that she had hoped to do better, but soon her opponents would feel her fiery wrath and her kiss of death. After all, she was “Gingerlicious”. And maybe the girls weren’t the only one to experience her kiss… of… death, she whispers in Dinero’s ear as she walks out. The Pope shudders, and says he would be perfectly happy with a normal kiss. Rating:*¾
Sitdown with Mia Yim Josh Matthews has a sitdown with Mia Yim and her manager, SoCal Val. At a couple of questions, Val interjects herself, answering on behalf of her client. The topic quickly turns towards Sexi Star. Mia says that she has already defeated Sexi once, and doesn’t see the point in proving she can do it again. Josh points out that a rematch has already been signed for next week. At this point, Val says it’s a disgrace that AJ allows a hidden identity like Sexi in to the company. She can be anyone! What has she got to hide, anyway? Only criminals and the disfigured goes around wearing masks. Josh points out that he doesn’t think most disfigured people wears masks, but Val points out that they should. Mia ends the interview saying that she will move past Sexi next week, moving on to greater things. Rating: **½
Jessica Havock vs Madison Rayne Madison Rayne, the former TV Champion, made her surprising return a couple of weeks ago, defeating Heidi Lovelace in her comeback. This task was far heavyier. Not only does Jessica have almost 100 pounds on Madison, she feels cornered by AJ. She knows this is her final chance of even being considered for TV Title contention. That is why she want at it from the start, not allowing Madison to even turn around for a lock-up. Madison has fought bigger opponents all her life, but found it difficult to find a suitable strategy against Havock. Working on her legs did the trick for a couple of minutes, but even a one-legged Jessica is really a Havock Deathmachine. As Madison went for her running big boot, Jessica got her and dumped her with a powerslam to win the match.
Jessica Havock defeated Madison Rayne with a powerslam in 06:10 Rating: *¼
AJ makes a decision Havock’s music is cut short as AJ Mendez’ music plays and the GM comes walking in. As she enters the ring, we see Donna Lee, Ashley Flair, Ivelisse and Heidi Lovelace walk out on the stage. In the ring, Havock is handed a micropone. She asks AJ if she has proven to her that she deserves a title shot. She just defeated the longest reigning TV champion in history. AJ points out that both wrestlers in the ring, as well as all four on the stage, had lost one and won one against each other over the past few weeks. As far as she was concerned, none of them is a clear contender. That is why, at Pride of Glory, there would be a 6-way match to decide the top contender for the TV Title. Whoever won the match, would be challenging Serena later the same day. Rating: ***
Let’s give it one more shot A video airs of RD Evans approaching Ashley Flair backstage. As the fans might remember, Evans managed Flair in the Horsewomen until they lost Faction War and he had to choose one of them. Well, he chose Nattie Neidhart, and the following feud between Flair and Neidhart was an ugly one. RD says flat out that he doesn’t want to sugarcoat anything. He knew he was an asshole earlier this year, but he hopes Flair understands he had to choose the World Champ. He would love to represent her again. Ashley laughs at RD. She shakes her head and tries to speak, but she only laughs more and walks off. RD shouts after her that he is trying to be a professional here! Rating: ****
I hope you’re ready A video airs of the backstage locker room, where all the six participants in 6-way match at Pride and Glory are gathered. Serena walks in, her TV Title slung across her shoulder. Serena says that if she had been in charge, she would have defended the title against each one of them on consecutive weeks. She aims to go out as a fighting champion. Lee says that it doesn’t matter if she has to go through four other wrestlers and a bitch (clearly referring to Heidi Lovelace) to get to it. She is the Queen of the Ring, and soon her crown would be accompanied by a belt. Ivelisse gets up to take a closer look at that belt, but is pushed away by Flair. Ashley reminds her that she holds the record for shortest reign. Ivelisse quips back that Flair holds the record for most unsuccesful attempts at winning a title (referring to her long feud with Nattie Neidhart over the World Title). Havock grabs Ivelisse, telling her that at least Ashley has had a World Title match. Like her. Madison wants everyone to remind her about who has the longest reign in history. The argument is broken up by Heidi Lovelace dumping her sports drink on Donna, clearly not happy to be called a bitch. Looks like the battle lines are drawn for Pride and Glory! Rating:****
Sasha Banks vs Tonga Tapa (c) w/AJ Mendez for the WWN World Title Running laps around the bigger and slower Tonga worked for a while for Sasha, and she even managed to get her down for the Bank Statement. It was too early though, and the move itself is challenging to execute on someone Tonga’s size. As a gleeful AJ watched, Tonga planted a boot in Sasha’s face and started a long period of dominance. The lithe, slender form of Sasha was tossed around the ring as a rag doll. Slammed, suplexed and brutalized by the grinning beast of a champion. As “the Boss” felt the support from the crowd, she started fighting back, stunning Tapa with an elbow to the head as the champ came charging into the corner. She quickly leapt on her back, hitting her with the backstabber and transitioning into the Bank Statement. Before the referee got the chance to ask Tonga, AJ jumped up on the apron and caught his attention. As the referee was busy, Tonga tapped out! But nobody could see it. Sasha let go and went over to AJ,knocking her off the apron with a punch. The ref grabbed her, giving her a stern warning about hitting AJ. As he did, Tonga got back up on her feet. She grabbed Sasha and lifted her up in the Tongan Drop, crushing the challenger beneath her to retain.
Tonga Tapa defeated Sasha Banks with the Tongan Drop in 09:48 Rating: **¾ (Tonga Tapa retained the WWN World Title in her 1st defense)
Stay down! Tonga wasn’t done there, as she lifted Sasha in a choke lift, trying to squeeze the life out of her. The referee was told by AJ to leave them alone. Saraya Knight doesn’t listen to AJ, however, and charged in to attack Tonga. As the Brit and the Tongan took their brawl to the outside, AJ kept up the attack on Sasha. “The Boss” was able to turn the tables on AJ however, but as she started to mount some punches, a couple of referees ran in and dragged Banks away. As Tonga and Saraya brawled to the back, AJ yelled at Sasha that she won’t get away with this! Rating: *
Show rating: **½
Show notes: Tonga Tapa is successful in her first defense, but it seems that her next challengers already has made her intentions clear. The enmity between AJ and Sasha has come to a boiling point now. What will AJ decide to do next? Tune in next week!

WWN SHOWDOWN - 2016.12.07
Welcome to another night of exciting action here from the premiere women’s promotion of the world. A lot of wrestlers will be in action tonight. All six participants of the Six-way challenge match for the TV Title top contendership will face each other in a tag match. Also, in the main event, Mickie James and Gail Kim defend their tag team titles against not one, not two but three teams! Speaking of which, let’s check in with our feisty superheroines!
The Roses wants to end the Goddesses In true superhero fashion, Black Rose and White Rose rappel down the side of a building and into an open window of an empty warehouse. They move around the large room, finding first a large feather and then a piece of Egyptian jewelry. They curse their bad luck, it seems that they’ve just missed the super villains in their secret lair. Black Rose says that whoever summoned these creatures from an ancient time, didn’t know what menace they let loose on the modern society. White Rose says that they will get their hands on the Exotic Goddesses tonight. And win or lose that match, they would take care of the Goddesses eventually. Rating:***
Mia Yim w/So Cal val vs Sexi Star This was a rematch from Through the Gates of Hell. For some reason, Mia felt her momentum halted when Sexi Star reemerged in WWN, gaining all the attention. Yim and her vocal manager has also voiced their concern for the fact that Sexi has chosen to hide herself beneath a mask. She can be virtually anyone! Yim is a well-built machine of a fighter, and her strikes struck home in the early goings of this match. Egged on by the somewhat annoying shrieking voice of Val, she toyed with Sexi, opting not to go for the pin after connecting with the Kick Me Goodnight, but instead going on top for the Sky Yim. The taunting and the showboating gave Star enough time to regain her senses, and Mia crashed and burned. Sexi was on Mia in an instant, hitting and kicking and going for submission moves. In her attempt to scramble out of the MMA-trained woman’s clutches, Mia was lured right into position for the fisherman suplex.
Sexi Star defeated Mia Yim with the Swinging Fisherman Suplex in 06:41 Rating: ****
Let me see your face As she was celebrating, Sexi was struck from behind by SoCal Val. The punch wasn’t the hardest, and Sexi turned around and grabbed Val. The crowd wanted to see her get what she deserves, but Mia Yim prevented that from happening by striking from behind. Mia pounded on Sexi and put her in a camel clutch. She also grabbed hold of Sexi’s mask, and tore it off of her! Sexi quickly covered her head and rolled out of the ring where a trainer came running with a towel. In the ring, Mia and Val stood triumphantly, holding Sexi’s mask. Rating: **
You’re only postponing the inevitable Backstage, Serena is working out in the gym when Taya comes in. The big blonde woman has her hand in a cast. She tells Serena that she has a long line of challengers lined up for her, but it doesn’t matter. Taya knows she will beat whoever wins the six-way challenge match. Why? Because she knows it’s written in the stars that she will be the one who takes that belt off of her waits. She will be the one who retires her. Serena says that her mind games don’t affect her. She welcomes the challenge. So she urges Taya to get well so that she can give her as good a match as she gave her the last time. Her legacy depends on it. She pats Taya on her shoulder and walks away. Taya’s facial expression clearly shows that this didn’t go quite as she wanted it to. Rating:****½
Battle plans are laid Backstage, Jessica Havock, Donna Lee and Ivelisse are getting ready for their six-woman tag match later tonight. Havock is excited, and tells the other two that Team Havock would steamroll over their opponents. Ivelisse takes exception to this, asking why the team would be named after her. After all, she is the only one who has held the TV Title before. It should be Team Ivelisse. Donna chimes in, saying that she is the reigning Queen of the Ring, the team should be named The Queen Team. Havock says that doesn’t make any sense at all. The three of theam just stares at each other before walking off in different directions, clearly not on the same page. Rating: *
Tag champs pretty sure of themselves Backstage, Mickie James and Gail Kim are preparing themselves for the 4-corner tag team title defense later tonight. They don’t seem concerned at all with the fact that the title might change hands without any of them even being involved in the pinfall. As far as they were concerned, the ring would contain two winners and six losers. Suddenly, Lufisto and Kana strike from behind, pushing the champions toward the wall. As Kana lick her lips and stare hungrily at Mickie, Lufisto tells Gail that after tonight, their overconfidence would be their undoing. The champs try to strike back, but the challengers defend themselves well, taking both down with stereo fireman’s carry takedowns. Kana locks on a Fujiwara on Mickie, but Lufisto pulls her off, saying they don’t need any excuses when they lose tonight. Rating: *¼
Ashley Flair, Heidi Lovelace & Madison Rayne vs Jessica Havock, Ivelisse & Donna Lee This six-woman tag team match contained all six women vying for the chance to challenge Serena for the TV Title at Pride and Glory. On that show, it would be every woman for themselves, and the two teams had a challenging time actually getting along in this match. In the chaos that ensued in the opening moments, Havock even seemed to forget she was on a team, handing out clothesline to everyone, including Donna. The match never seemed to settle, and those on the apron seldom stayed put, venturing over to the other side to drag someone down or otherwise harass their opponents. It was impossible to keep track of who’s legal, but when Rayne connected with her running big boot on Ivelisse, the ref counted the 3 anyway.
Flair, Lovelace & Rayne defeated Havock, Ivelisse & Lee when Rayne pinned Ivelisse after the Running Big Boot in 06:12 Rating: *¾
Tonga wants Saraya In AJ Mendez’ office, the WWN World Champion Tonga Tapa slams down her world title and demands to face Saraya Knight at Pride and Glory. She would show that old shrew once and for all that she is not in her league. AJ is disappointed, and had planned on Sasha Banks receiving a rematch. Tonga says she’s done with Sasha. Her beef is not with her, her beef is with AJ. She tells AJ to take care of that problem on her own, and to give her Knight. AJ gets up and reminds Tapa who the boss is around here. They have a staredown, and Tonga sits down. AJ continues, saying that despite this, she knows she needs to deal with Sasha herself. She tells Tonga she’ll get her wish. At Pride and Glory, she will defend the WWN Title against Saraya. Rating: **
LuKana vs James/Kim (c) vs The Roses vs The Exotic Goddesses for the WWN World Tag Team Titles This was a difficult challenge for the champions. Not only could they lose the titles without being involved in the pinfall - they were visibly upset after being accosted by LuKana earlier in the evening. They stayed out of the fray for as long as possible, but others had the same idea! This is why The Roses and The Goddesses did most of the heavy lifting early on. Neither the champs nor LuKana wanted to be tagged in, and only entered the squared circle to break up pin attempts. It was in one of these instances that Kim decided to attack LuFisto, drawing out both Kana and James too. The Goddesses tried to take advantage of this by quickly rolling up the Roses in stereo pins, but they kicked out. LuKana deposited Mandy and Hania to the outside, but suffered the same fate from James and Kim. As Gail hit the Eat Defeat on Black Rose, Mickie hit the Mickie-DT on White Rose to retain.
James & Kim defeated LuKana, The Roses & The Exotic Goddesses when James pinned White Rose with the Mickie-DT in 07:58 Rating: ***½ (Mickie James & Gail Kim retained the WWN World Tag Team Titles in their 4th title defense)
A big announcement At the end of the show, AJ Mendez comes out for a big announcement. The General Manager says that she has suffered the insolence of Sasha Banks for too long. At Pride and Glory, it would all come to an end. She would grace the ring and the fans with her in-ring presence, facing Sasha Banks in an I Quit Match! And however said those fateful words, had to hand in their resignation! AJ smiles confidently as the show comes to a close. Rating: ****½
Card rating: ***
Card notes: Two big announcements here tonight. Tonga Tapa will defend the WWN World Title against Saraya Knight and AJ Mendez and Sasha Banks will do battle in an I Quit Match! Both of these matches will take place at Pride and Glory December 17th.

WWN SHOWDOWN - 2016.12.14
Tonight’s big main event sees Saraya Knight in a handicap match against Tonga Tapa and AJ Mendez. We will also see Serena in non-title action and the rivalry between The Roses and The Exotic Goddesses continues as Hania battles White Rose. But first, let’s go to the ring!
Kimberly vs Mia Yim w/SoCal Val Mia Yim has been riding high ever since defeating the international superstar Sexi Star at Through Gates of Hell. While primarily known for her great athleticism and striking ability, Mia mixed it up tonight as she submitted Kimberly to a fujiwara armbar.
Mia Yim defeated Kimberly by submission in 02:51 Rating: **½
Enough is enough After the match, SoCal Val ordered Mia to continue with the move, trying to break Kimberly’s arm. Yim did as instructed with glee, smiling as she tried to wrench Kimberly’s arm off. Sexi Star ran in, and Val warned Mia in time so that they both got out of Dodge. Star asked for a mic, telling Mia and Val that she was sick of their bullying tactics (in Spanish). Her body language was clear though, she was challenging Mia to a rematch at Pride and Glory. And the words that stood out, was ‘luchas de apuestas’! Val agreed to it, but Mia tried to stop her. She asked Val if she knew what a “luchas de apuestas”-match is. Val was clueless. The announcers clued in the viewers though, it’s a mask vs hair match! Rating: **½
Don’t you get any ideas A video airs of the WWN locker room, where Ivelisse, just wearing a towel, comes out of the showers. Heidi Lovelace walks by her, barely brushing her. Ivelisse turns, a finger raised. She warns Heidi not to try anything. Heidi says she wasn’t about to attack her or anything. Paranoid, much? Ivelisse says she’s not talking about attacking. She knows Heidi’s taste doesn’t run in men. She’s just not interested, and it’s not right. She was raised a proud Catholic. Heidi puts up her arms, telling Ivelisse that it’s 2016 now. Not the Spanish inquisition. Ivelisse stares angrily at Heidi as she walks out. Rating: ****
Final chance A new video airs, this time of LuKana approaching the WWN Tag Team Champions backstage. James and Kim prepare for a scuffle, and while Kana immediately assumes fighting stance, LuFisto tells them they’re not here to fight. They want to end this rivalry once and for all. At Pride & Glory in a no dq match. The champions accept, telling LuKana that after they’ve done with them, they can go back to their bingo halls and their korakuen halls and leave the A-listers to WWN. As they leave, Kana tells LuFisto that “Korakuen Hall is no bingo hall”. Rating: ***½
Serena vs Taeler Hendrix - non-title match While the TV champion doesn’t know who she’ll be facing at Pride and Glory, she needs to stay sharp. “Gingerlicious” Taeler Hendrix gave her a surprisingly tough start to this match, but the veteran bounced back and controlled Taeler for the last half of the match. When she went for the Spear, Taeler immediately went for the ropes. Serena pried her loose and delivered a perfect german suplex for the 3-count.
Serena defeated Taeler Hendrix with a german suplex in 03:12 Rating: **½
Don’t take your eyes away from us After the match, Serena’s six possible challengers came out on the ramp to remind the TV Champion about what will take place this Saturday. Jessica Havock grabbed a mic, telling her that the challenge ahead of her was far tougher than the one she faced today. Serena replied that she knows that, and she welcomes it. Whoever it will be, whether it is “The Havock Death Machine”, daughter of a legende (Ashley Flair) or the Queen of the Ring (Donna).. Or any of the others. She wanted to be challenged and tested so that she could prove that her career went out on a high note. Rating: *¼
The Final Showdown In AJ Mendez’ office, AJ is entertaining Sasha Banks for possibly the last time. AJ gloats, telling Sasha that after Saturday, she will have to work as a waitress in order to make money. She can forget about her expensive jewelry, clothes and cars. “The other place” doesn’t want her any more, AJ has seen to that. Her extensive network on the indy scene and in Japan ensures that she will not find work anywhere else either. Sasha smiles at this. She says that after all the comments from her husband towards “the other place”, she is pretty sure she has no pull there. She reminds AJ that the only place she really is a big deal, is in her own head. Besides, there is no chance in hell of her losing on Saturday. And when Sunday comes, AJ needs to realize that her family’s income is solely based on whatever money her inept husband brings in from his MMA career. AJ’s smile vanishes, and the GM tells Sasha to get out. She has another insolent employee to take care of. Rating: **¼
Hania the Howling Huntress w/Mandy Leon vs White Rose w/Black Rose The Goddesses have quickly become the Lex Luthor of The Rose’s superhero world, enemies that need to be taken care of. This was a competitive match that inevitably was marred by Mandy Leon’s interference. Black Rose ran over to take care of the problem, but it took the referee’s eyes of the match for a split second. Enough for Hania to poke White Rose in her eyes and roll her up for the pin.
The Exotic Goddesses taunted The Roses on their way out, but we know that this isn’t over yet!
Hania defeated White Rose with a schoolgirl roll up in 05:38 Rating: **
AJ Mendez & Tonga Tapa vs Saraya Knight Even though this was technically a handicap match, it was more or less a preview of Saturday’s match. AJ had no intentions of being in the ring with Saraya, and only tagged herself in a couple of times to do double-team maneuvers with Tonga. Knight isn’t one to complain about anything, really, but found the motivation to eventually fight back against both. As she went after AJ, Tapa interjected herself, trying to protect her boss. As the two fought, AJ went outside and retrieved the WWN World Title. She clubbed Saraya in the back with it, causing the obvious DQ.
Saraya Knight defeated AJ & Tonga by DQ in 07:23 Rating: **½
“The Boss” for the save With AJ as a director, Tonga continued the beatdown of Saraya, hitting her with a Tongan drop. AJ didn’t see Sasha Banks slide into the ring however, and the Boss took her down with a lungblower. She started to exchange blows with Tonga, but was pushed aside by Saraya. As Sasha and Saraya started yelling and pushing at each other, AJ grabbed Tonga and made their exit. The battle lines are drawn for two major bouts this Saturday! Rating: ¾*

WWN - PRIDE AND GLORY - 17.12.2016
Ashley Flair vs Ivelisse vs Jessica Havock vs Madison Rayne vs Heidi Lovelace vs Donna Lee in a 6-Way Match for the Top Contendership to the WWN TV Title This match was chaotic from the get go, as all six women tried to position themselves for a chance to dethrone the TV champion. The victory would go to whoever scored the first pinfall, so we saw a lot of pinbreaks in the early goings. A lot of animosity between a few of the wrestlers. Donna and Heidi battled through their frustrations on the outside. Flair and Ivelisse, desperate after one-upping each other after their recent back-and-forth victories did the same. Madison Rayne wanted to remind everyone of who the longest reigning TV Champ in history is, while at the same time proving that having a baby does not stop your career. Jessica Havock simply wanted to beat up the others and show AJ Mendez that she deserves to be in the title picture. We saw dives, crazy bumps on the outside and brilliant double and triple team maneuvers. In the end, with Lee and Lovelace having knocked themselves out by the announce table, Havock went on a chokeslam spree in the ring. After both Ivelisse and Flair had been taken out of the equation, Madison Rayne went for the Running Boot, but was caught by Havock and slammed hard to the ground. Jessica Havock moves on to face Serena later tonight!
Jessica Havock defeated A. Flair, Ivelisse, M. Rayne, H. Lovelace & D. Lee in a 6-way Top Contenders Match in 10:45 when she pinned Rayne with the Harlot Slayer. Rating: ****
Mia Yim w/So Cal Val vs Sexi Star - Luchas de Apuestas For the very first time, WWN hosted a Luchas de Apuestas match. This match is very common in Lucha Libre, and in this case, it was Sexi’s mask versus Mia’s hair. The bout started out in a slow pace, both wrestlers utilising technical wrestling to try and gain an advantage over the other. Both were probably also afraid of losing to an early flash pin, so both were on the defensive. While not as flashy as our opening contest, it was still a match that showcased both wrestlers technical skills. Sexi’s MMA training came to good use as she tried to match the striking ability of Mia, while at the same time going for submission moves. As the match progressed past the 10-minute mark, the pace quickened and we saw a beautiful dive from Star, taking out both Mia and Val. Val had to be taken out by a trainer, and without her vocal agent, Mia seemed to lose some of her confidence. Star gained more and more control, until Mia out of nowhere connected with the Kick Me Goodnight. Instead of going for the pin, Yim decided to put an exclamation point to the victory by going for the Sky Yim. She took too long, and Sexi went upstairs for a fisherman superplex and the victory!
Sexi Star defeated Mia Yim in a Luchas de Apuestas match with a Super Fisherman Suplex in 15:05 Rating: ***
Shaving time After the match, someone brought out a pair of scissors to Sexi Star. SoCal Val ran down as well, holding a pack of ice to her face. She screamed at Mia to run, to not let herself be debased like this. Mia ignored Val, but ripped the scissors out of Sexi’s hands. She then proceeded with cutting her own hair in brutal fashion. Val almost cried at the sight, and while Sexi probably wanted to do the honors herself, the look on Mia’s face told her that the humiliation was complete. Rating: ****
Jessica Havock vs Serena (c) for the WWN TV Title Havock didn’t have more than about 20 minutes pause after winning the 6-way match earlier, but she looked more than ready to win the TV Title and end Serena’s storied career. The former WWN World Champion knew that this match could be her last. She was viciously attacked by Havock from the get-go, and after a brutal series of strikes and an air raid crash, her career could have ended earlier than hoped. Serena hasn’t come this far without having the resilience to withstand such a pounding, and managed to turn the tables, rolling Havock up for a near fall. As the match approached the 10-minute mark, Havock visibly tired from having to pull double duty in so short a timespan. She tried to hit Serena with the Harlot Slayer, but Serena pushed her away, sent Havock into the ropes and connected with the Spear to drive the air out of her and secure the victory.
Serena defeated Jessica Havock with the Spear in 09:40 Rating: ***¾ (Serena retained the WWN TV Title in her 1st title defense)
Forgotten about me? Serena didn’t get to celebrate long, as Taya entered the ring and took the champ down with a violent big boot. The cast was still on Taya’s broken arm, but the blonde didn’t need her hands as she stomped and kicked away at the champ. She made her intentions quite clear. At Through the Gates of Hell, she defeated Serena in non-title action. The only reason she is still a champion is because of her injury. She promised Serena that her retirement wasn’t far away. Rating: *½
AJ Mendez vs Sasha Banks in an I Quit Match The feud between AJ and Sasha culminates tonight! One of the two must cry uncle, and the one who does, must quit! It was perhaps inevitable that these two strong personalities couldn’t coexist in WWN. The odds were perhaps against AJ in this one, as she has only been a part-time wrestler the past few years. With her bodyguards either busy preparing for a World Title match or busy licking her wounds after pulling double duty, she was on her own tonight. AJ gained an advantage early on though, as she clipped Sasha from behind during her entrance. Mendez kept her focus on the leg for most of the match, and Sasha’s willpower was tested again and again. She refused to quit and started fighting back in earnest. Even with a wobbly leg, she bitch slapped Sasha several times, even busting up her nose in the process. AJ didn’t give up easily either, refusing to quit when Sasha locked in a half boston. Sasha was looking for the Bank Statement, but AJ had it scouted and blocked it by holding on to the ropes. In frustration, AJ went outside for a chair. Sasha ducked the chairshot and hit a new lung blower, moving over into the Bank Statement. AJ held on for a short while, but when the referee asked her again, she yelled “I Quit!”. This means that AJ Mendez must resign and leave WWN!
Sasha Banks defeated AJ Mendez in an I Quit Match after 10:21 Rating: **
Gail Kim & Mickie James (c’s) vs LuKana for the WWN Tag Team Titles in a No Dq Match Kim and James won the tag straps on their first attempt back in September, and LuKana has had one goal since then, winning them back. In this No Dq environment, LuFisto’s background and Kana’s general craziness might give them the upper hand. After all, Kim and James have husbands and families to think about. Still, it looked like the will to win and to once and for all put LuKana behind them overrode those priorities. Kim and James didn’t hesitate to bring forth the weaponry, and after the first 5 minutes, all four were lying around the ring, knocked senseless by chairs, kendo sticks and garbage cans. After Kana was handcuffed to the ring post, LuFisto was treated to a barrage of double team moves, including suplexes on top of garbage cans and a double hiptoss through a table. Stil, the “Wounded Owl” refused to be pinned. In frustration, Mickie James went over to Kana to torment her a little more. Even with one hand locked to the post, Kana managed to trip up James and somehow cinch in an STF. Gail Kim tried to break it up, but LuFisto caught her and hit a Burning Hammer, shoving her out of the ring. Mickie saw no escape for her predicament. She was practically inside the ropes, but rope breaks doesn’t count in a No Dq match. Mickie taps, giving the victory and the WWN Tag Team Titles to LuKana!
LuKana defeated Kim & James when Kana made M. James submit to an STF in 12:52 Rating: ****¼
Cleaning out the office A video airs of AJ Mendez cleaning out her office, putting her things in a box. RD Evans enters, asking if she isn’t staying until Tonga’s title match. AJ says she doesn’t care. She doesn’t need a bodyguard anymore. RD eyes the General Manager sign, saying (mostly to himself) that this place probably needs a new GM. AJ tells him to knock himself out. She is out of this place for good. RD stops her, saying that he might have a solution for her. AJ seems intrigued, and puts down the box. Rating: ****
Saraya Knight vs Tonga Tapa (c) for the WWN World Title The veteran Knight has often said that she never lost the WWN World Title in the first place, and that it was unlawfully stripped from her when the 2015 Through the Gates of Hell match ended in a draw. She had a golden opportunity here tonight to become a two-time champion, but first she had to conquer the near unbeatable Tonga Tapa. The former convict didn’t seem fazed that AJ Mendez was nowhere to be seen, and gave Saraya a thorough beating in the early goings. The match went outside the ring quite early, and the two brawled throughout the crowd before taking it back to the ring. Saraya had gained the upper hand at this point, even managing to hit a sitout powerbomb on Tapa for a 2-count. Knight tried again, but Tonga blocked it and reversed it into the Tongan Drop. She did a little twist, however, and knocked down the referee. Saraya slid down from her shoulders, tripped her up and cinched in the Bridal Rocking Chair. With the referee out, Sasha Banks ran down to try and revive the referee. Saraya let go, and went over to confront Sasha, asking her what she was doing out here. Sasha tried to explain that she was trying to help her. Tonga got back on her feet and pushed Knight into Banks, causing her to fall down. She then hit the Tongan Drop on Saraya. The ref came to, and counted the 3-count. Tonga retains!
Tonga Tapa defeated Saraya Knight with the Tongan Drop in 8:21 Rating: ** (Tonga Tapa retained the WWN World Title in her 2nd title defense)
What have you done? After the match, Sasha tried yet again to explain to Saraya why she came down. Saraya was enraged over the loss, and didn’t want to listen to a single word of what “the Boss” had to say. Instead, she clocked Sasha with a big right, followed it up with a power bomb and put her in the Bridal Chair. Referees came to and pried Knight away, but the aggressive veteran turned her frustrations out on the referees, laying out a couple before being overpowered. Rating: ***¾

WWN - Showdown 2017.01.04
Welcome to a new year here at Women’s Wrestling Nonstop! After what transpired in December at Pride and Glory, we have learned that tonight’s main event will pit Sasha Banks against Saraya Knight. But first, let’s go to the ring where Kimberly awaits her opponent.
AJ Mendez vs Kimberly The announcers were surprised to see AJ Mendez skip down to the ring for this match against Kimberly. She lost an I Quit match to Sasha at Pride and Glory, and everyone thought she was gone from WWN. Kimberly protested against this too, but the official let the match continue. AJ looked prepared for the match, and cinched in her submission finisher.
AJ Mendez defeated Kimberly with the Black Widow submission in 03:45 Rating: *¾
Why are you here? Sasha Banks’ music plays as “the Boss” comes down to the ring. Sasha is angry, and demands to know how this can be. AJ says that as per the stipulation, she had to quit her position in WWN. She quit her position as a General Manager, but has been given a wrestler contract by the new GM. Sasha asks who the new GM is, but AJ is coy and doesn’t want to tell her. She tells Sasha that she is here to win matches and grab gold. The two of them are interrupted by Saraya Knight. The former world champion tells Sasha to stop worrying about AJ, and start worrying about her. She stuck her nose in her business at Pride and Glory, and tonight she would discover how foolish she was. Sasha tries to explain she was only trying to help Saraya, but the veteran wouldn’t listen. Sasha claims Saraya is paranoid, but Knight says that when it comes to the WWN World Title, there are no friendships and there are no alliances. Rating: ****
Who is the top contender? Backstage, Donna Lee, Ashley Flair and Madison Rayne are discussing who the new top contender for the TV Title is. Madison still feels she is entitled due to her long reign. Ashley points out that she is the one who was pinned by Havock in the 6-way. Donna, still wearing her Queen of the Ring tiara, points to her head and says it should be quite obvious. Out of nowhere, Jessica Havock blindsides her and pushes her to the ground. She flings the tiara away and starts screaming at Lee. Flair and Rayne separates the two as Havock shouts that she wants a rematch against Serena. Rating: ***½
Hairless A video airs of Mia Yim, hair cut extremely short, and SoCal Val. Val tries to comfort Mia, telling her it will grow back. Eventually. Mia shoots her a look of warning, and Val puts her hands up. Val tells Mia she heard Eddie (Kingston, Mia’s boyfriend) say she looks nice with the new hair cut though. Mia gets up and starts yelling at Val. She doesn’t care about her hair. It’s the humiliation she is concerned about. And the fact that she lost. She cannot get Sexi Star out of her head. Val says she’ll make it up to Mia. She will get her a rematch next week. Rating: ***
Why are you still here? In a sitdown interview with former General Manager AJ Mendez, Josh Matthews asked about her plans going forward, if she knew all along that she had a loophole that allowed her to stay on as a wrestler and if her business with Sasha Banks was concluded. AJ said that, truth be told, a good friend of hers gave her the idea of staying on as a wrestler. When pressed for details on who the new GM is, AJ said that he will have to reveal it himself. She is focused on her revived wrestling career for the moment, and did not plan to tangle with Banks anymore - unless they faced each other for a title. AJ ended the interview by saying that without the responsibility as a GM, she had more time to focus on her training. Rating: ***¼
The Exotic Goddesses vs The Roses in ⅔ falls match The rivalry between the superheroines and the avatars of exotic divinity has come to a boiling point. With one victory each, a ⅔ falls match was set to decide who the better team was. Who knows, maybe the winner will get a title match as well? White Rose was fortunate to catch Mandy early on with the Rose Cutter. The sudden impact of the move was enough to stun the Egyptian beauty, and surprise Hania so that she couldn’t break up the pin.
The Goddesses learnt from this, and managed to control and isolate Black Rose after this. They ran interference on White Rose to put her out of the equation. When she tried to protest to the official, Mandy and Hania double-teamed her vehemently, equalizing the score with a german suplex -> super kick combo.
With White Rose in the ring, the Roses fared a little better, no small thanks to Black Rose who prevented the Goddesses from repeating the tactics. She got herself tagged in, but her house of fire was cut short. The Goddesses attempted another finisher, but this time Rose wrenched herself loose, and the superkick hit Mandy in the jaw. Black Rose rolled up her opponent for the win.
The Roses defeated The Exotic Goddesses 2-1 in a ⅔ falls match (White Rose pinned Mandy Leon with the Rose Cutter in 03:24) (Mandy Leon pinned Black Rose with the By the Gods! In 07:42) (Black Rose pinned Mandy Leon with a schoolgirl in 09:15) Rating: **
Serena meets the new boss A video airs of the TV champion Serena knocking on the door of the General Manager. The door is slightly ajar, and she walks in, looking in at an apparently empty office. The big, high-backed chair swivels around, revealing RD Evans! Serena tries to hide her surprise, as Evans grins. Evans confirms what Serena thinks, he is the new General Manager. Serena congratulates him, and goes on to ask what his plans are for the TV Title. RD turns the question around, asking Serena what her plans are. Is she still retiring? Serena confirms she will retire the moment she loses, but that she is unhappy with the amount of title defense she’s had so far. RD says it’s about time he rectifies that. He books Serena in a title match next week, against the longest reigning TV champion of all time, Madison Rayne. Rating: ****½
The champion meets the new boss On her way out, Serena bumps into Tonga Tapa. The two champions stare at each other, before Serena walks on and Tonga enters RD’s office. RD welcomes his champion. He says that he doesn’t hope she holds any grudges toward him for replacing her friend. Tonga says AJ was never her friend, she was her boss and she owed her for getting her out of jail. Tonga wants to know who her next opponent will be. RD says we’ll find out tonight, as Saraya Knight will face Sasha Banks. Tonga scoffs, saying that she’s beat them both. RD parries by saying that she will have no problem defeating them again, then. Tonga nods and leaves. Rating: *¼
Reunion? A video airs of Bully Ray and Bully Sky approaching Madison Rayne backstage. They try to persuade her to a reunion. Madison says that she loves Sky like a sister. She’s the godmother of her child. They will always be friends. But the time for The Beautiful People is over. She is a singles wrestler now. The most successful TV champion of all time. And next week, she will be a two-time champion. Sky accepts her choice, but lets her know that the offer still stands, no matter what happens next week. She will also be in her corner, if she wants her to. Madison says she’ll manage on her own. Sky asks if she doesn’t trust her! Madison says that all of them., all three of the Beautiful People have at one time been opportunistic and jealous. Right now, she can only trust herself. Rating: **
Saraya Knight vs Sasha Banks It’s difficult to persuade the stubborn Knight to not do anything she hasn’t already set her mind to. In this example, it is viewing Sasha Banks as an enemy. The two were partners at War Games, but after Sasha came down to check on the referee during the Tapa vs Knight main event of Pride and Glory, Knight has had her doubts about “the Boss”. The veteran took the lead in this match, punching and kicking away at Banks who had some trouble with her unorthodox offense. Sasha hit back, striking with the double knees in the corner and soaring through the ropes to wipe out Knight. As she tried to help Knight back into the ring, Tonga Tapa ran out and clubbed “the Boss” in the back. She then sent Saraya Knight into the ringpost. She threw Sasha into the ring and hit the Tongan Drop on her. On the outside, Saraya watched “the Boss” being taken out with a second Tongan Drop, but didn’t interfere. As the show went black, Tapa was staring down on Knight.
Saraya Knight vs Sasha Banks ended in a no-contest in 06:56 Rating: **
Show rating: **¾
Show notes: With RD Evans as the General Manager, what will the future hold for WWN? He seems way more eager than AJ Mendez to give Serena plenty of TV Title defenses, as we will see next week when Serena defends against Madison Rayne.

WWN - Showdown 2017.01.11
We have a card full of action here for you tonight. The main event is Serena vs Madison Rayne for the TV Title. We will also see Tonga Tapa in action, a rematch from Pride & Glory and a first-time ever match between Heidi Lovelace and Ivelisse!
We deserve a title match A video airs of RD Evans opening the door and spotting Black Rose sitting in the open windowsill. Batman-esque music is playing. Black Roses says that they have vanquished the foes known as The Exotic Goddesses. White Rose emerges from behind the curtains, telling RD Evans that even though they normally don’t ask for rewards, they have a request. Evans says they’ll probably want a title match. The Roses seem surprised that he knows of this, is he eaves-dropping on their secret hideout? Evans promises to give them a decent chance. Next week, they will face two other teams in a 3-way match for the top contendership for the WWN Tag Team Titles. Rating: ****
Taeler Hendrix vs Tonga Tapa - non title match “Gingerlicious” Taeler Hendrix is a vivacious and flirtatious vixen, but her mind games had little to no effect on Tonga here tonight. The dominant world champion had plenty of opportunities to finish Taeler off, but she toyed with her for a while before hitting the Tongan Drop and the win.
Tonga Tapa defeated Taeler Hendrix with the Tongan Drop in 03:38 Rating: *¾
I’m waiting for you A video airs of Serena preparing for her upcoming title match. Taya is watching her from the shadows. She tells Serena she’ll root for her tonight. There’s nobody else she’d rather beat but her. Serena confronts her, admitting that she did beat her at Through the Gates of Hell. Is that the reason why she’s so confident? She did it before, she can do it again? Serena tells Taya to watch very closely tonight, to see what awaits her. Rating: **
Sitdown with Gail Kim Josh Matthews has had the honor of sitting down with former tag team champion Gail Kim. Josh wants to know what’s next now for her, seeing as Mickie James is out injured. Gail says that first of all, Mickie is back in a couple of months. Her injury isn’t serious. Secondly, she is a former World Champion. She is a world class singles wrestler. Now is the time to prove that yet again. Her last reign was short, too short for her liking. Unfortunately for her, she doesn’t think she can just push her way into the main event picture. She needs to beat someone big in order to prove herself. She tells everyone to take note of Gail Kim from now on. Rating: **
Mia Yim w/SoCal Val vs Sexi Star This was a rematch from Pride & Glory, where Sexi Star defeated Mia and forced her to cut her long and beautiful hair. Mia was looking for revenge in this one, and her eagerness of putting the hurt on Sexi and redeeming herself from the embarrassment of that match, gave Sexi an edge. Mia was too unfocused, too angry and too unbalanced to ever having a real shot at a world-class athlete like Star. Just to dot the i, Sexi caused Mia to submit to an armbar.
Sexi Star defeated Mia Yim with a Fujiwara armbar in 05:12 Rating: ****½
Get out of my way A video airs of Donna Lee approaching Jessica Havock backstage. “The Queen of the Ring” wants to know why Havock blindsided her last week. Havock says she was close by and she needed to take out her frustration on someone. Lee says that Havock had her shot at the TV Title, and proved to be a loser. It’s time to let someone else get the chance. Havock feigns walking away, before she turned around and decked Lee. The two started brawling wildly around the corridors before security comes to break them apart. These two women clearly have some pent up frustrations they need to let out! Rating: **½
Heidi Lovelace vs Ivelisse In an act of unpolitical correctness, Ivelisse made it clear last year that she is skeptical of Heidi’s disposition towards women. Heidi, on her side, has claimed that Ivelisse is thinking too highly of herself. She has no interest in her! The match started out as a technical showcase, but was marred by the fact that Ivelisse didn’t appreciate being put in several compromising positions, like a headscissors submission. Heidi used this to her advantage, letting herself be put in a side headlock in order to get closer to… yeah. When she realized the game Heidi was playing, Ivelisse tried to walk out, but was thrown back into the ring by Heidi. The Puerto Rican tried to escape again, but suffered a roll-up for the three count. As Ivelisse slid away from the ring, Heidi licked her lips seductively, but also ironically. She clearly used Ivelisse’s discomfort as a strategy, and it worked!
Heidi Lovelace defeated Ivelisse with a roll-up in 06:38 Rating: ****
A peace offering Sasha Banks approaches Saraya Knight backstage with a scone and a cup of tea. Knight scoffs of this paltry peace offering. Sasha says she doesn’t really know why they’re at war in the first place. Saraya says they’re at war because there are no room for friends at the top. The only way they can be anything other than enemies, is if one of them backs out of the title race. And they both know neither is willing to do that. Saraya tells Sasha that the next time they meet, be it in the ring or backstage, there will be trouble. “The Boss” stares at Saraya as the veteran walks away. Banks throws the scone and the tea in the wall in frustration. Rating: ****½
Madison Rayne vs Serena (c) for the WWN TV Title This was Madison’s chance to regain the TV Title she lost almost two years ago. It was also, quite possibly, the final match of Serena’s storied career. Rayne tried to put Serena out of her misery early on with a barrage of flash pinfall attempts, but Serena deftly escaped an ignominious defeat. After a couple of minutes, Bully Sky came down to join the announcers. She didn’t spend much time debating the match, more trying to sell the idea of The Beautiful People to Josh Matthews, Madison’s husband. Josh tried to tell Sky he tried to be impartial in these matters. Sky pouts, saying that if that was the case, should he even be calling her matches? In the end, Serena connected with the Spear to prolong her career one more match.
Serena defeated Madison Rayne with the Spear in 08:22 Rating: ***¼ (Serena retained the WWN TV Title in her 2nd title defense)
Don’t give them all they want A video airs of General Manager RD Evans returning to his office. Former GM, AJ Mendez already sits in his chair. AJ compliments RD for two good shows after taking the reigns. Not great, but good. She warns him, however, of not giving in to the talent all the time. Like Serena. She shouldn’t just get everything she wants. RD tells AJ that he knows what he’s doing. He thanks her for the “advice”, but prefers it if she doesn’t sit in his chair. AJ smiles, but gets up. She tells RD to ask for more advice whenever he needs it. RD quips that she will probably give it to him anyway. RD tells AJ that the sooner she realizes she’s not in charge, the better. Rating: **¼
Show rating: ***
Show notes: Serena’s career is still going strong. Who will emerge as the next challenger for the TV Title? Next week, we will learn who the new top contenders for the tag team titles is, and after the altercation tonight, Donna Lee will go one on one with Jessica Havock.

WWN - Showdown 2017.01.18
Welcome to another exciting edition of Showdown! Tonight, three teams will compete in a triple threat match for the chance to challenge LuFisto and Kana for the WWN World Tag Team Titles. We know that The Roses are one of the teams, but who are the others?
An unlikely duo Ivelisse and Heidi Lovelace are gathered in RD Evans’ office. Ivelisse looks suspiciously at Heidi, while Lovelace still smiles over the way she tricked Ivelisse last week. RD says that due to an injury on Hania, they are a tag team short. Ivelisse wants to know what that got to do with her. She’s not in any team. Heidi tells RD that sounds like an excellent plan. Ivelisse is still clueless as to what is going on, but when she realizes it, she protests. RD says he won’t force her, but if she wants to compete for a title, this is her shot. Ivelisse stares daggers at Lovelace as they walk out. Heidi tells Ivelisse to get ready. Rating: ***
My dear friend A video airs of Madison Rayne visiting the home of the Bullies, Sky and Ray. Madison compliments her old friend on her lovely home, her skirt and asks Ray if he’s lost weight. Sky bluntly asks Madison if she’s suddenly interested in a reunion now that she failed to capture the TV Title. Madison asks why Sky can believe such a thing! Sky smiles, and tells Madison that she would have played it exactly the same herself. She told her last week that the offer still stands, and it does. But they need to find their groove quick, as she had accepted a triple threat match for the top contendership. Sky smiles again, and tells Madison she knew she would come around. Rating: ***¼
Kimberly vs Lufisto LuFisto’s partner, Kana, watched from ringside as one-half of the WWN World Tag Team champions was handed a rare singles opportunity here tonight. After recapturing the Tag Team titles at Pride and Glory, and Mickie James’ subsequent injury, the champions have awaited their next challengers. Many feels that the Roses should be up, seeing as they came out victorious in the ⅔ falls match against the Goddesses. However, RD Evans wants to see a match for the top contendership position. LuFisto picked up this victory, by the way.
LuFisto defeated Kimberly with the Burning Hammer in 02:52 Rating: *’¼
A meeting of champions A video airs of Serena and Tonga Tapa bumping into each other backstage. They look at each other, and then to each other’s championship belts. Tapa says hers are bigger. Serena admits to that, she used to be a World Champ herself. Tonga says it’s nice for her to have a consolation prize. She doesn’t bother with the lesser championships herself. Serena points out the fact that Tonga has yet to defend the title after AJ lost her job. Tonga shrugs, saying that she wouldn’t shy away from any challenger. Or any champion. They look at each other as they move in separate directions. Rating: ****
The Roses are ready White and Black Rose are preparing each other for tonight’s big match. White says that while TBP clearly is the most experienced team, they haven’t battled together in a long time. And Ivelisse and Heidi doesn’t even like each other! Black Rose tells White not to get complacent. They are all good wrestlers. But justice will prevail, and the true champions of the WWN Tag Team division will get the chance they rightfully deserve! Rating: **¾
Donna Lee vs Jessica Havock J-Hav is pissed for losing the chance to become TV Champion, and let her ire out on “Queen of the Ring” Donna Lee. Lee is not one to be walked all over, not even by a powerful woman like Havock. While smaller in stature, Donna has the tenacity of a cornered wolverine when she wants. Still, it was difficult to fight the size and power of Havock, and she found herself again and again on the receiving end of a powerful slam or strike. As the minutes wore on, Havock moved a little slower, giving Lee the chance to counter. After meeting an avalanche in the corner with a boot, Donna ceased the opportunity to hit a schoolgirl, using all her weight to hold Jessica down for the flash 3 count! Jessica argued that the count was way too quick, but the ruling stands!
Donna Lee defeated Jessica Havock with a roll up in 07:21 Rating: ***¾
The title match is yours Taya is in RD Evans office. Her former agent admits that he could have done a better job with her career, and he is trying to rectify that now. Next week, Taya will face Serena for the TV Title. Taya scoffs, saying that she deserves that title shot anyway. RD nods, and agrees that she does. However, she should know that if she fails, she would be right back at the end of the line. A line of challengers that grows every week. Taya says that next week, he will have to find HER challengers. Rating: *3/4
Let me help you out Backstage, AJ Mendez approaches Saraya Knight. The former GM tells the former World Champion that she knows a thing or two about Sasha Banks that might be of interest to her. She knows a war is coming, and she is prepared to support Knight in that regard. Saraya tells AJ she is not interested. Whatever can she know of Sasha? She lost to her, didn’t she? Knight says that AJ isn’t the General Manager anymore. She is a wrestler. Stop the scheming and let her wrestling speak for herself. Rating: ****
Lovelace/Ivelisse vs The Roses vs The Beautiful People in a triple threat match for the top contendership for the WWN World Tag Team Championship This was an interesting match-up to say the least. One member of each team was legal at all times, and you could, of course, only tag your own partner. Ivelisse decided to go first for her makeshift team, not trusting Lovelace. She managed to surprise Rayne and Black Rose in the opening, until they realized they had to cooperate to take her out. Heidi continued her playful shenanigans on Ivelisse by tagging her delicate backside when she tagged herself in, earning her some choice words from the Puerto Rican. It took some time, but The Beautiful People got their teamwork flowing and had several near falls on both their opponents. The match structure was difficult to maintain for the referee, and eventually, all six wrestlers were duking it out. Rayne and White Rose ended on the outside, where they brawled, only to be broken up by Bully Ray. Black Rose didn’t appreciate the interference, and dove out on them, wiping all out. This left Bully Sky in the ring. She went for the pedigree on Ivelisse, but she reversed it and hit a ddt. As she cheered to the crowd, Heidi came running and hit Sky with the Shining Wizard. Ivelisse turned to cover Sky, but inadvertently laid on top of Heidi, so that they were both pinning her. The ref counted the three, and Ivelisse jumped up, a confusion of anger and joy on her face. They had, miraculously, won the match, but Heidi stole the pin and put her in a compromising position at the same time!
Heidi Lovelace & Ivelisse def. The Beautiful People and the Roses when Lovelace hit Sky with the Shining Wizard in 09:58 Rating: ***
Sasha calls out Saraya After watching a video of the relationship between Sasha and Saraya, we go to the ring where “the Boss” awaits. She says she is sick and tired of the growing chasm between Saraya and Sasha. She reminds Saraya that they were on the same War Games team. They shared the same enemies. She calls her out. Saraya comes out. Knight tells Sasha that her attempts to negotiate peace is pitiful. Right now, her actions at Pride and Glory doesn’t even matter. They both know they are in contention for a title shot. This makes them enemy. She doesn’t fool anyone by claiming otherwise. It is nothing personal, it is just that there are no friends when it comes to the main event scene in wrestling. Tonga Tapa’s music plays, and the Tongan World Champion comes out. She says she is sick to her bone about their constant bickering. She doesn’t know why RD haven’t simply announced someone else as top contender. Someone who wants to fight, not talk. Saraya says if it’s a fight she wants, she can have it right now. Tonga dismisses her. She says that she’s just been in RD’s office. The general manager has decided to make a triple threat match at My Bloody Valentine. There, Tapa will defend her title against both of them. It’s time to stop the talking, and start the fighting. All three look suspiciously at each other, awaiting an offensive move. None came. Looks like the action will have to wait until My Bloody Valentine. Rating: ***
Show rating: **¾
Show notes: Ivelisse may not like it 100 %, but she and Heidi Lovelace are now the official top contenders to the WWN Tag Team titles. They will get that chance in two weeks’ time. Next week, Serena continues her retirement tour with a title defense against Taya. And remember, if she loses the title, it will be the last match she ever has.

WWN - Showdown 2017.01.25
Welcome to WWN Showdown! As always when Serena is in action, this might be her final match. She will go against Taya later tonight. First, let’s go to the ring.
Gail Kim vs Mandy Leon Both these two tag wrestlers are on their own due to their partners’ injuries. “The Egyptian Goddess” looked almost naked here without her partner in crime, and against an experienced former world champion like Gail, the experience difference shone through. Gail picks up a win after her patented finishing maneuver.
Gail Kim defeated Mand Leon with the Eat Defeat in 02:48 Rating: ***¼
No advice needed In GM RD Evans’ office, AJ is listing up a series of proposed changes and ideas to the obviously annoyed general manager. Among them is giving her a TV Title shot against Serena. RD interjects, saying that he cannot get anything done while she is hanging over him like this. This isn’t her job anymore, and this isn’t her office. If she wants to prove herself, she can do so in her match tonight against Ashley Flair. AJ says she didn’t know of any match! RD smiles, and says he must have forgotten to tell her. He should start using a To Do-list software, or something. AJ scoffs, but rushes off to change. Rating: ***
We’re still not friends! A video airs of Ivelisse approaching Heidi Lovelace. The two won a top contendership for the Tag Team titles, despite not being on the same page. Ivelisse says that thanks to her, they will fight LuKana for the titles next week. She says that this doesn’t change the fact that she doesn’t like Heidi, and that they do not need to interact outside of the match. And when tagging, they tag normally, not any slapping of asses. Heidi asks why she would slap her ass? Ivelisse says it’s obvious. Heidi gets a little angry at this, telling Ivelisse that not all gay people like to slap people around. Ivelisse apologizes, but tells Heidi to keep that anger for the match. As Ivelisse turns around, Heidi slaps her ass. Ivelisse turns angrily, and Heidi laughs, telling Ivelisse she couldn’t resist. Rating: *
AJ Mendez vs Ashley Flair AJ protested loudly on her way to the ring about being totally unprepared, and had to take a countout early on. Ashley ran after her, and when they got back into the ring, AJ jumped her, taking the lead briefly. When Ashley started fighting back again, AJ was sent on the defensive. After being hit by Natural Selection, AJ rolled to the outside. She escaped the pinfall, but the mocking crowd and the jeering Flair was too much for AJ, who walked out for the countout.
Ashley Flair defeated AJ Mendez by countout in 05:05 Rating: ***
I want a new challenge In RD Evans’ office, the World Champion Tonga Tapa tells the GM that she needs another challenger. Sasha and Saraya were obviously to busy with fighting each other. Besides, she has already beaten them. RD says he has been thinking about something a while. A title vs title match. In 2 weeks, she would face the TV Champion. No matter if it was Taya or Serena, both titles would be on the line. Tapa smiled, saying that she looked forward to becoming a double champion. Rating: ****
Your luck will be your doom A video airs of Donna Lee being ambushed in the back. To nobody’s surprise, it’s Jessica Havock. She clubs away as she claims to have been defeated by sheer luck, and that honorable wrestlers don’t win matches by roll ups. Apparently, honorable wrestlers instead ambushes wrestlers backstage. Donna is thrown into a wall and kicked in the guts, but the tough-as-nails wrestler simply laughs and coughs and tells Havock that it must hurt to suck as a wrestler AND as a human being. Havock kicks Lee in the head to make her shut up. Rating: ***
Sarona Snuka vs Sexi Star The Mexican superstar is ramping up victories in 2017, and is really on a roll after seeing off the challenge of Mia Yim. Tonight, the big veteran Snuka was in Star’s path to glory. Sexi has been working more on her ground game and sprinkles in an MMA move here and there. She’s also familiarized herself more with the Fujiwara armbar, forcing Sarona to tap out.
Sexi Star defeated Sarona Snuka when Snuka submitted to the Fujiwara armbar in 03:45 Rating: ***
Sitdown with the champs Josh Matthews has a chat with the current tag team champions. LuFisto says she’s surprised that Ivelisse and Lovelace is the new top contenders. They are really good singles competitors, but their lack of experience working as a team, and their obvious differences, should work in the champs’ favor. Kana simply shrugs, saying it doesn’t matter. They are 2-time tag team champions, and they will continue to dominate the division. LuFisto ends the interview by saying that next week, their challengers will feel the power of the “Wounded Owl Ronin” and “the Empress of Tomorrow”. Rating: **¾
Serena vs Taya - TV Title Match The anticipation every time Serena steps into the ring is palpable. Everyone knows it may be the last match she ever wrestles. For their opponent, it is the feeling of knowing that your career may be catapulted as a result of “retiring” a legend like Serena. Taya is also the last wrestler to have defeated Serena. She won a non-title match at Through the Gates of Hell, and the loss prompted Serena on this journey. Taya tried to out-power and out-maneuver Serena early on, but the champ countered her offense and looked for an opening for the spear. Taya had her well-scouted however, and the match went back-and-forth for a while, slowing down and speeding up at various intervals. At the 10-minute mark, Taya sent Serena to the ropes for a big boot, but Serena ducked the attempt, bounced off the ropes and hit the Spear on a too slow Taya.
Serena defeated Taya with the Spear in 10:19 Rating:***¼ (Serena retained the WWN TV Title in her 3rd title defense)
I want to file a complaint A video airs of AJ Mendez talking on the phone with owner Dixie Carter. She is obviously complaining about RD Evans and the job he is doing. Especially in giving in to Serena’s demands and putting her in unscheduled matches. She points out that she was doing a much better job. She admits that putting the job on the line was her fault and an ill-advised move. She is apparently offered a job as an assistant GM, but she refuses, saying that she is nobody assistant. Dixie apparently hangs up, and AJ groans in dissatisfaction. Rating: ***¼
Show rating: ***¼
Show notes: Serena’s retirement plans is postponed at least two weeks, but then she has to overcome her biggest obstacle so far - the world champion Tonga Tapa. If she loses, she is out. If she wins, she finds herself a double champion!
Don’t forget to tune in next week, as the WWN World Tag Team Titles are at stake!

WWN - Showdown 2017.02.01
Welcome to a brand new edition of WWN Showdown. Tonight, the tag team champions defend their titles against an unlikely pair of challengers. Speaking of..
Be ready! Backstage, Ivelisse cautiously approaches her tag team partner of the evening, Heidi Lovelace. Heidi is stretching, and Ivelisse avoids looking at her shapely legs. Ivelisse tells Heidi that when they now first find themselves in this situation, she wants to do the best she can. She wants to know if Heidi is on board. Heidi smiles, and says she has been on board from day one. Ivelisse pushes Heidi away, saying she talks about the match and the title challenge. Heidi feigns surprise, and says she’s ready for that as well. Ivelisse shakes her head and says part of her hopes she loses. Rating: ***
Gail Kim vs Sarona Snuka Without her tag team partner, Gail Kim has made her intentions clear. She wants to regain her position as a top dog in the singles division. The veteran Snuka wanted desperately to put a roadblock in her path, but the former World Champion was too disciplined, too determined and just too skilled.
Gail kim defeated Sarona Snuka with the at Defeat in 03:35 Rating: **½
It’s not your fault A video airs of Madison Rayne and Bully Sky arguing over their somewhat surprising loss in the 3-way top contenders match two weeks ago. They had it won, but somehow it slipped out of their fingers. How could they lose to two wrestlers who never have tagged together before? And who is not seeing eye to eye at all? Bully Ray, Sky’s boyfriend separates the two bickering friends, telling them that is not their fault. It was those damn Roses. They didn’t really try to win, did they? No, the only thing they wanted, was to make sure TBP didn’t win. Madison and Sky agree, turning their attention to the meddlesome superheroines. Rating: ***¾
The end draws near When we come back from a commercial, Tonga Tapa is in the ring. The World Champion calls out Serena, who comes out. Tonga says that her journey is a courageous one. She cannot decide when to retire herself, but every night she’s in the ring, might be her last. Tonga wants her to know when she’ll retire. The date is February 8th, the day she steps into the ring with her. Serena says that most pundits and bookmakers may agree, facing off against someone who has lost one match in 16 months. But she craves this, she needs these kinds of challenges in the twilight months of her career. RD Evans comes out at this, thanking Serena for her years of service in WWN. Serena laughs, telling RD that he shouldn’t write her off just yet. Tonga and Serena stare down in the ring as we await their title vs title match for next week. Rating: ***¼
Mandy Leon vs Sexi Star The Exotic Goddesses had a good thing going until Hania’s unfortunate accident, and Mandy Leon seems to struggle on her own. Against a world traveler like Sexi Star, Leon’s game was not nearly where it should have been, and Sexi didn’t wait long before she hit her finisher and scratched out yet another win for herself.
Sexi Star defeated Mandy Leon with the Swinging Fisherman Suplex in 03:03 Rating: *
In-ring interview With Sexi Star still in the ring, D’Angel Dinero walks up from the announce booth and says he wants to know what every WWN fan wants to know - where does this end for Sexi Star? Sexi understands English quite well, but didn’t respond in words. Instead, she motioned for her waist, the universal sign to make everyone know that her goal is the WWN World Title. The music of Gail Kim plays, and Kim makes her second entrance tonight. Gail congratulates Sexi for defeating this.. child.. she says and scoffs at Mandy Leon. If she thinks that catapults her to the title scene, she is wrong. There are more deserving wrestlers than her, like Gail Kim. She tells Sexi to rack up another few wins, and then to come see her. Sexi looks mysteriously at Gail as the former champion leaves the ringside area. Rating: *
RD booking meeting In GM RD Evans’ office, his former client Ashley Flair enters. RD says he hopes they can put their problems past them and move on. He’s here to do what’s best for business, and he acknowledges that Flair hasn’t had the chances she deserves. He therefore books her in a top contenders match for the TV Title next week against Donna Lee. Ashley asks RD if he realizes that the next TV champion is probably also the World Champion? RD says he knows, and he is certain that Ashley will make a fine TV AND World Champion. Looks like RD is a professional, giving his former enemy this chance! Rating: ****
Where’s is loyalty? A video airs of AJ Mendez talking to Taya in the gym. AJ asks Taya if she’s heard who is wrestling the top contenders match for the TV Title? Not her, that’s who. Even though her former agent is General Manager, she doesn’t get any help from him. Taya asks her to get to the point. AJ says she’s filing a petition to have RD sacked, and wants Taya to sign the petition. Taya laughs, saying that she’s sure RD will appreciate hard work and W’s in the matches. AJ should focus on wrestling, not politics. Rating: *
Ivelisse & Heidi Lovelace vs LuKana for the WWN World Tag Team Titles The unlikely duo of Ivelisse and Lovelace didn’t fare so well in the opening minutes of this title match, as their lack of team skills shone through. LuFisto and Kana had full control, and was close to wrapping it up early with their stiff kicks and innovative offense. As Lovelace was being battered, Ivelisse started yelling at her, shouting and calling her an amateur. This lit a fire in Lovelace, who fought back and secured the tag. Ivelisse had the champions reeling, but LuFisto broke up the pin attempt following the Disdain DDT. Lovelace blind-tagged her in, slapping Ivelisse’s butt in order to do so. As Ivelisse yelled at Heidi, Kana took her out with a clothesline over the ropes. The champions attempted to double team Lovelace, but Kana took too long aiming her kick, and Ivelisse struck from behind. Heidi slipped out of LuFisto’s grasp, knocked her down with a roaring elbow and delivered a Shining Wizard to capture the tag team titles! Heidi tried to hug Ivelisse as they were handed the championship belts, but Ivelisse just pushed her away and grabbed the title. Ivelisse & Heidi Lovelace defeated LuKana when Lovelace pinned LuFisto after the Shining Wizard. Rating: *¼ (Ivelisse & Heidi Lovelace won the WWN World Tag Team Titles)
Peace talks In RD Evans’ office, the General Manager has gathered Sasha Banks and Saraya Knight. Several guards stood between them, in case something broke out. Saraya said she promised to take care of Sasha Banks the next time she saw her, and that RD was an evil man for denying her that satisfaction. Sasha waved her away, saying that she was through trying to placate her. She warned Saraya about moving against her, hip replacements aren’t cheap. RD says he realizes there is no hope for any reconciliation between the two. He cannot really see a clear-cut challenger between the two of them either, a comment which drew clear protests from both. He said that no matter who comes out victorious next week, both of them would be involved in the main event of My Bloody Valentine. If Tonga won, it would be a 3-way match. If Serena won, it would be a 4-way match. Either way, they would both have a chance to win that which they covets the most. The show goes off air as Sasha and Saraya stare each other down. Rating: ****
Show rating: **¾
Show notes: Ivelisse and Heidi Lovelace are the NEW WWN Tag Team Champions! Who would have thunk? Can their shaky alliance withstand a rematch or other challengers waiting in line? Next week, we have a huge main event, as Tonga Tapa takes on Serena in a title vs title match. And as usual when Serena is involved, a loss means it was here final match.

WWN - Showdown 2017.02.08
Welcome to a special edition of Showdown! Tonight, Tonga Tapa and Serena will put both of their championship titles on the line in a champion vs champion match. But first, AJ Mendez is trying to continue her ascent in the wrestling division following her career change.
AJ Mendez vs Taeler Hendrix The former General Manager spends more time scheming and conniving trying to get her job back than she does training for her in-ring career. “Gingerlicous” Taeler Hendrix is still looking for her first win here in WWN, and the vivacious seductress flirted with the referee before start. When AJ couldn’t get the pinfall following a neckbreaker, she accused the ref of favoritism and threatened to have him fired. She obviously forgot she’s not in charge anymore, and she apparently forgot all about Taerler, who rolled her up for the flash pin.
Taeler Hendrix defeated AJ Mendez with a schoolgirl in 02:51 Rating: ***¾
Huge main event set for My Bloody Valetine RD Evans is in the ring, talking about his first month as General Manager for the greatest brand of women’s wrestling in the world. He says that the battle for the industry's top prize is harder than ever, with several women vying for the title. And at My Bloody Valentine, 3 (or 4) women would do battle for it. Tonga Tapa’s music plays, and the current champion enters. Tonga says that it will definitely be only 3, as Serena will not be victorious tonight. Sasha Banks music hits. “The boss” says that at MBV, she would win BOTH the TV Title and the World Title and prove once and for all who the Boss is. Saraya Knight’s music hits, and the British veteran simply attacks Sasha Banks! The two brawl briefly, before security breaks them up. Tonga Tapa gets the last word, saying that picking up the victory on Saturday should prove easy. It’s just to pick up the scraps after those two. Rating: ***¼
Enjoy it while it lasts A video airs of the former tag team champions, LuFisto and Kana, meeting the new champions, Heidi Lovelace and Ivelisse backstage. Kana eyeballs them, licking her lips as if she is about to pounce at any moment. LuFisto tells them to enjoy the reign while it lasts. RD has approved the rematch for this Saturday. Heidi drapes her arm around Ivelisse, saying that herself and her new best friend will be ready for any challengers. Ivelisse pushes the arm away and turns to LuKana. She says that while losing the titles means she wouldn’t have to put up with Heidi anymore, being champions is more important. LuKana will have the match of their lives at My Bloody Valentine, and at the end, they will walk out without anything else to show for it besides bruises and bloody noses. Rating: **½
Video package of Gail Kim and Sexi Star A video package hyping the match between Gail Kim and Sexi Star for My Bloody Valentine airs. It focuses on the fact that both have racked up several impressive victories so far in 2017, and whoever comes out the winner can probably stake out a claim for a WWN World Title match. Both holds an insert promo. Gail says that unlike Sexi Star, she is a former World Champion. She knows how it is to be on top and to prepare for big matches such as this. Sexi claims that while she has never held the top prize in WWN, she has had a long and storied career in Mexico. She is prepared for Saturday and whatever comes next. Rating: ***
Ashley Flair vs Donna Lee - Top Contenders Match for the WWN TV Title With the TV title on the line later tonight, and with the probable possibility that we would see a double champ come My Bloody Valentine, the title situation would be complex, to say the least. What’s simple, is that whoever won this match, was guaranteed a shot at the TV Title. It was a hard-fought affair for the first five minutes, both women using their striking ability to pound her opponent. Flair was closest when she hit the Natural Selection, but Donna draped her foot on the rope. Lee took control shortly thereafter, but an errant clothesline from Flair decked the referee. Out came Jessica Havock, still upset with Donna Lee and enraged of being left out of the TV Title picture. She smashed Donna with a forearm, sending her straight into Ashley who hit Natural Selection again for the victory.
Ashley Flair defeated Donna Lee with the natural Selection in 07:18 Rating: **
Challenge for My Bloody Valentine Backstage, The Beautiful People approach The Roses. Black and White Rose are dressed in civilian clothing, and they pretend to not know what TBP wants. Madison tells them to drop the act. They know who they are, even though they’re not wearing those small domino masks. They challenge them to a match at My Bloody Valentine. Rose Martinez, as she says she’s called, says she will relay the message to the Roses if they see them. TBP calls them childish and huffs off. Rating: **½
The end of the line In RD Evans’ office, the General Manager hands out flowers to Serena for her long service to the business and to WWN. Serena laughs, saying that she isn’t done yet. RD says it’s just a formality. Tonga is almost unbeatable. The only one who ever beat her, was Nattie Neidhart, and she isn’t around anymore. Serena nods, and says that she has face the Tongan beast herself, and lost. But this time it’s different. She is not prepared to leave the business just yet, not now. RD wishes her good luck, she’ll be needing it. Rating: **¾
Backstage brawl A video airs of Donna Lee attacking Jessica Havock backstage. Donna pounds away at the larger woman, rightfully blaming her for costing her the match earlier on. Jessica overpowers her, and slams her into the wall. She starts choking Donna, saying that she’s not in her league and that RD Evans should put HER against Serena if he has any hopes of retiring her. She tosses Donna into a couple of waste bins, telling her to stay down. Rating: **¾
Serena vs Tonga Tapa for the WWN World Title and the WWN TV Title This huge title vs title match started out slow, with the two wrestlers circling each other. Tonga went for a test of strength, easily subduing Serena. The Tongan used her power and strength in the early goings, punishing Serena for trying to stand up to the physical might of the Islander. Serena has other skills though. She is quicker, more technical proficient and more experienced than the champion. She used that to escape the onslaught and to turn it into several near falls for herself. A sunset flip almost garnered her the World Title. Suddenly, the camera caught sight of Sasha Banks and Saraya Knight brawling throughout the crowd. Saraya tossed Sasha into the ringside area, but the Boss turned the momentum when Knight was climbing over, hitting an uppercut. The distraction caused the referee to miss Tonga hitting Serena with the Tongan Drop. In anger, Tonga grabbed hold of the referee and tossed him into the corner, causing the DQ!
Serena defeated Tonga Tapa by DQ in 08:59 Rating: *¼ (Tonga Tapa retained the WWN World Title in her 3rd title defense) (Serena retained the WWN TV Title in her 5th title defense)
Pier 4 brawl Sasha and Saraya didn’t stop their wild brawl, but was briefly broken up by Tonga, who felt the need to punish these insolent creatures for ruining her match. She sent Saraya into the ringpost and slammed Sasha hard into the floor. She didn’t see Serena readying the Spear, and after that move connected, it was the TV Champion who stood tall looking down on the three people involved in Saturday’s big title match. As the show closed, Ashley Flair appeared on the ramp, motioning for the TV Title. Serena has her own date set for My Bloody Valentine. Rating: ****¼

WWN - My Bloody Valentine - 2017.02.11
Donna Lee vs Jessica Havock The contention for the TVTitle is fierce, and Donna Lee and Jessica Havock have taken their frustration over not being considered, out on each other. Havock has repeatedly used her strength and size to overpower Donna, and that was the strategy coming into this match as well. Donna doesn’t alway realize when she’s outgunned, but after being thrashed by Havock in backstage brawls a couple of times, the 2016 Queen of the Ring realized that speed and guerilla tactics might work better on Havock. After being hit from all sides in the opening minutes, Havock started realizing that she needed to be more patient. Havock was one of the most feared wrestlers in WWN in 2015, but a year of pacification as AJ Mendez’ personal guard had tempered the fierce warrior. And despite Lee’s best attempts, this was not a sunshine story for David. Goliath wins this one with the dreaded choke-slam.
Jessica Havock defeated Donna Lee with the Harlot Slayer in 09:58 Rating: **¼
Improving the odds A video airs of Sasha Banks arriving at the arena in her car. As she walks out, she is attacked by Saraya Knight. The Brit slams her head in the door of the car before forcefully powerbombing her on the hood. A bent and broken Sasha is motionless as Saraya grins. How can Sasha compete tonight after this dastardly attack by the foul Knight? Rating: ***
The Beautiful People vs The Roses Rayne and Sky had a simple idea. Reunite The Beautiful People and the road to the tag team titles would be easy for them. They failed at the first obstacle, losing in a top contenders match. They lay all the blame on The Roses though, claiming that they were only aiming to ruin the match for them - not win it by themselves. Attacking White and Black Rose as they had their backs turned on the turnbuckles led to them having the upper hand in the early goings, but with the crowd behind them, the Roses turned the tide and sent TBP out of the ring with dual drop-kicks. Outside, they conferred with Bully Ray before going at it again. Again, a brief dominance was broken by the coordinated attack from the resident super-heroines. This time, despite Bully Ray trying to coax them back in the ring, Madison and Velvet turned and walked out, claiming they had better things to do than play masquerade with a bunch of cosplay nerds.
The Roses (White Rose & Black Rose) defeated The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky & Madison Rayne) w/Bully Ray via countout in 08:14 Rating:****½
Update Josh and “the Pope” says that Sasha Banks is being treated right now, but that she’s in serious back pain following the brutal assault by Saraya.
The fight continues A video airs from backstage, where Donna Lee throws caution to the wind and attacks Jessica Havock. As Mia Yim, Mandy Leon, Taeler Hendrix and Sarona Snuka watches, Donna manages to irish whip Havock through a door! Only Havock’s legs stick out as Lee promises Havock that this isn’t over. Rating: ***
Heidi Lovelace & Ivelisse (c’s) vs LuKana for the WWN World Tag Team Titles Despite their inability to see eye to eye, Heidi and Ivelisse surprised everyone by capturing the tag team titles from LuKana a few weeks ago. Kana and LuFisto have claimed that they underestimated the challengers, a mistake they shouldn’t make again. And in the early part of this rematch, it looked like they had changed their mindset. They went for cover after cover, sapping their opponent’s strength by forcing them to kick out. As normal, the champions’ strategy was for Ivelisse to yell at Heidi and tell her how useless she were. Reverse psychology worked wonders for the “Punk Rock Ragdoll”, as she proved Ivelisse wrong by taking out LuKana and making the tag. The feisty Puerto Rican continued where Heidi left off, assaulting the challengers with a barrage of attacks and submission moves. LuFisto broke it up, causing Heidi to run out and defend her partner. Kana missed a roundhouse kick, and Ivelisse connected with the Disdain DDT to retain. What an excellent match!
Lovelace & Ivelisse defeated LuKana when Ivelisse pinned Kana with the Disdain DDT in 10:05 Rating:****½ (Heidi Lovelace & Ivelisse retained the World Tag Team Titles in their 1st title defense)
Enough is enough A video airs of a stressed out RD Evans walking backstage, talking on the cellphone. It’s obvious he’s talking about the situation regarding Sasha Banks. AJ Mendez stops him, telling him that she has the perfect solution to everyone’s problem. If Sasha can’t compete, he can put her in the match. RD grabs hold of AJ and says he’s got an even better idea. AJ can replace her present location with anywhere BUT here. He orders a security guard to escort Mrs. Mendez to the door. AJ protests, but RD has already walked off. Rating: ***¼
Gail Kim vs Sexi Star With a combined 28 years in the business, this was a contest between two veteran grapplers. And while Gail Kim rightfully claims to be the most successful wrestler in WWN, Sexi has spent most of her career winning championships and tournament south of the border. Unlike our opening contest, a spirited and wild brawl, this was a technical match, almost a chess game. One small mistake might mean an opening the other veteran wasn’t willing to let slip. The pace quickened in the latter stage of the match, with counters and reversals, near falls and big moves. The finish came when Sexi blocked the Eat Defeat, twisted Gail around and quickly hit the Swinging Fisherman Suplex with an enormous speed and force, knocking Kim’s breath out of her.
Sexi Star defeated Gail Kim with the Swinging Fisherman Suplex in 10:37 Rating: ***¼
Ashley Flair vs Serena (c) for the WWN TV Title There’s always an extra buzz in the air when Serena defends her TV Title. She announced late last year that she would retire the day she lost the TV Title. Ashley Flair should know of this stipulation, it was the same with her father several years ago in the WWE. And while that was an emotional moment for her, she wasn’t about to put Serena’s career above her own title ambitions. In the beginning, Flair used her long legs and arms to keep Serena at a distance, wearing her down with suplexes and power moves. Serena used her brawling prowess to full extent when she came close enough, and was always looking for the Spear. Flair, on the other hand, went for the legs of the champion, hitting a kneebreaker and a leg drop on Serena’s left ankle. Close to the 10-minute mark, Serena did hit the spear, but she landed awkwardly on her leg and took too much time covering Flair, who kicked out. Shortly thereafter, Flair managed to cinch in the Figure Eight, and with her leg already injured, Serena was in trouble. She managed to turn it, but Ashley didn’t endure the pain for too long before she broke free. Serena almost got the win with a small package, but Flair was back on her feet, cinching in another Figure Eight. As the camera zoomed in on Serena’s face, obviously in pain, you could see she wrestled with her emotions. Giving up was so easy, even though it meant giving up on her long career. In the end though, wasn’t this the perfect end? Serena quit when SHE wanted to, by tapping in the mat.
Ashley Flair defeated Serena when Serena submitted to the Figure Eight in 12:30 Rating: ****¼ (Ashley Flair won the WWN TV Title)
Farewell speech After the match, Ashley Flair showed good sportswomanship by helping Serena on her feet, hugging her opponent as a show of respect before being handed the TV Title. Serena was handed a microphone, and a cheer for “speech” sounded throughout the arena. Serena said she was humbled to stand in front of such a great crowd. Her career has been marvelous, and she is both glad and sad that it is over. Ashley Flair then returns to the ring and asks for the microphone. She tells the crowd to give it up for Serena. After the cheers have died down, Ashley says that Serena is the past, she is the future. With that said, she decks Serena and puts her in another Figure Eight! The bell rings like crazy, and three referees run to and pry Flair away from Serena. Ashley smiles and laughs as she saunters out of there, letting out a big “woo” to put an exclamation point behind her second period as TV champion. Rating: *¾
Saraya Knight vs Sasha Banks vs Tonga Tapa (c) for the WWN World Title All eyes were on Sasha as she slowly walked down to the ring, her ribs taped after the brutal assault by Saraya earlier tonight. In the ring, Saraya was quick to broker an alliance with Tonga, and the two went after Sasha. With the injury and the size difference (and of course, the numbers game), Sasha stood no chance and was left broken and battered on the outside. Saraya and Tonga then turned their attention to each other, brawling all over the ringside area, on the ramp and even on the stairwell. Sasha Banks is not known as a quitter, and she mounted a comeback, jumping on Saraya’s back and clawing at her eyes. She also hit a drop toe hold on Tapa, who slammed her head down on the ring steps. The match went back into the ring, and Sasha amazingly enough hit the lung blower on Tapa, transitioning into the Bank Statement. Saraya was on her way back into the ring with a chair, but the ref stopped her. What he didn’t see, however, was Tonga Tapa furiously tapping out! Before the ref could see it, Saraya broke it up. The end came when Tonga lifted Saraya up for the Tongan drop, but was thwarted by Sasha’s kick to the gut. Saraya slid down Tonga’s back, and the two enemies joined forces in sending Tonga out of the ring. Sasha was a little too late in turning around, and Saraya hit the power bomb, re-injuring Sasha’s ribs. Tonga was on her way back in the ring, but Saraya forearmed her in the jaw, causing her to crash. Saraya quickly locked in the Bridal Rocking Chair, and Sasha couldn’t hold on for any amount of time, submitting to the hold before Tapa could break it up. We have a new world champion!
Saraya Knight defeated Sasha Banks and Tonga Tapa when Banks submitted to the Bridal Rocking Chair in 16:43 Rating: *¼ (Saraya Knight won the WWN World Title)
Show rating: **½
Show notes: We have two new champions and Serena’s career has ended. The landscape of WWN has changed yet again. Tune in to Showdown this Wednesday to see what happens next!

Backstage news!
WWN Showdown will change its timeslot from March on. This is huge news from WWN, who will get a lot more exposure. There is more money involved as well, giving WWN the chance to give some of its wrestlers exclusive contracts. It is rumored that workers such as Sasha Banks, AJ Lee, Kana, Mickie James, RD Evans, Heidi Lovelace and Donna Lee. This will prevent WWE or other interested parties in stealing the talent.
Even if WWE's women division has not been prioritized in years, they have started to consider it. There has been rumors that they have been interested in both Madison Rayne and Ashley Flair. Both have chosen to re-sign with WWN, however. Madison is married to TNA announcer Josh Matthews and has family in the Florida area. Ashley seems happy right now with a non-exclusive contract with WWN, also taking part in some selected tours of Stardom in Japan.
Mickie James has been working through a biceps tear, but she is now taking time off. Donna Lee missed the recent house show tour of the south-east due to minor injuries, but is expected to be back for the next set of tapings.
Alexa Bliss had a short career in WWN. After being introduced as Velvet Sky's new partner, she got injured right away. She has now been released from her contract.

WWN - Showdown - 2017.02.15
Welcome to a new edition of Showdown! We have a new world champion, and we will hear from her straight away!
The Bitch Queen is back on top! General Manager RD Evans is in the ring as we kick off the show. He introduces the NEW WWN World Champion, Saraya Knight! The veteran comes in to a mixture of cheers and boos. Despite her ruthless methods, many in the crowd adore the brutal Brit. She is interrupted by Tonga Tapa, who comes to the ring alongside AJ Mendez. The former GM has apparently reignited their alliance. AJ says that last Saturday was a travesty, with Tonga Tapa not being anywhere close to the action when the decision fell. Therefore, Tonga is still unpinned by anyone in WWN currently. Knight smirks, and says that they can fix that, right here and right now! RD intervenes, saying that if Tonga Tapa wants to invoke her rematch clause, she might do so, but the match would be in our main event. AJ and Tonga are happy, and AJ tells Tonga that she did right in coming to her. She knows how to get what she wants from RD. Evans says he highly doubt that, and adds that AJ will be in action next. Against Taya! Rating: **
AJ Mendez w/Tonga Tapa vs Taya Taya is RD’s former client, and the General Manager obviously feels some obligation towards her still. The blonde bombshell dominated this match early on, as AJ struggled being as unprepared as she was. Tapa remained ringside, and tripped Taya, leading to AJ gaining the upper hand a brief period of time. It was clear to everyone that AJ couldn’t handle this on her own though, so Tonga simply went into the ring and broke up a pin attempt, causing the DQ. Tonga then hit Taya with the Tongan drop.
Taya defeated AJ Mendez by DQ in 04:51 Rating: ***
Sitdown with Ashley Flair With Josh Matthews gone from the announce team, SoCal Val has taken over. Her first duty was to conduct a sitdown interview with the recently crowned TV Champion, Ashley Flair. Flair said that she had planned a grand celebration this week, but decided to postpone it until next week - so the World Champion wouldn’t be upstaged. Val tries to get some hints to what will happen, but Ashley is coy and simply says that she doubts WWN is prepared for what will happen next in the saga of the greatest women’s wrestler in history. Wooo! Rating: ***¾
Sasha being treated A video airs of Sasha Banks being treated by a physical therapist. The back has been killing Sasha since Saturday’s brutal assault by Saraya, and being put in the Rockin Chair didn’t help things out. Sasha says she needs to be cleared so that she can go after the World Title. The therapist says he’ll need to review the results and come back with a clearance next week. For now, she needs to take it easy. Rating: ***
I’m sorry A video airs of the WWN Tag Team champions, Ivelisse and Heidi Lovelace. Against all odds, they managed to retain their championship against LuKana at My Bloody Valentine. Ivelisse approaches Heidi, and in a sort of clumsy, but honest way, she apologizes for her treatment of Heidi. She didn’t mean to belittle her or her persuasion. She is a good partner and a good friend. Heidi hugs Ivelisse and says ‘I love you too’. Ivelisse frowns and tells Heidi not to take it too far. Rating: ****¼
Gail Kim vs Mia Yim Mia looked a little naked out there without SoCal Val accompanying her, and she threw a bitter glance or two towards the announce booth. Val said that unfortunately, WWN didn’t allow her to stay onboard as her manager. The roles were not to be mixed up. Dinero said he was happy to have her there, and Val said she totally understood. Gail needs to get back on track after losing to Sexi Star on Saturday, and did so with a fine win here tonight.
Gail Kim defeated Mia Yim with the Eat Defeat in 04:14 Rating: *
What went wrong The Beautiful People and Bully Ray are having a strategy session, trying to figure out what went wrong at My Bloody Valentine. They are even drawing a flowchart. Boxes with “Stupid costumes”, “Cheating supervillains” and “Not worthy” are being used as conclusion. Bully Ray throws his hands up, stating that the reason they lost, was that they walked out on the match! Madison and Velvet tells Ray to stay out of this, they have been tag wrestlers for years, they know what went wrong. Ray shakes his head, muttering something about having a tiny bit of experience in the tag division as well. Rating: ****½
The tension is high A video airs of Donna Lee and Jessica Havock bumping into each other backstage. Before anything happens, Havock throws a hand up, saying that she cannot afford any more fines for broken tables or doors. Lee agrees. They both know that this isn’t over, so Jessica has asked RD Evans for a match next week. A No DQ match. Lee smiles, saying that she cannot wait until she can throw Jessica’s fat ass through a table with no punishment. Havock says she’ll regret that comment when she choke slams her into the ring steps next week. Rating: **
Sexi Star is ready for the next challenge A video airs from RD Evans office. Sexi Star is there, and RD congratulates her on the fine win over Gail at My Bloody Valentine. Sexi thanks him, and says she’s ready for the next challenge. She wants the world title. RD admits that it’s about time that someone else than Sasha, Saraya and Tonga gets involved in the main event picture, but Gail Kim has already asked for a rematch. RD says Kim’s achievements here should earn her another chance. In the meantime, he can set her up for a TV Title match against Ashley Flair next week. Sexi says any type of gold look good on her. Rating: ****½
Saraya Knight (c) vs Tonga Tapa for the WWN World Title There would be no excuse for Tonga tonight. One on one for the World Title. If Tonga’s (near) unbeaten record intimidated Saraya, she didn’t show it. The new and old world champion went at it, slugging and brawling both inside and outside of the ring. They were almost counted out, but rolled back in at the last possible moment. AJ Mendez did announcing duty in this match, commenting to SoCal that if she was still GM, she wouldn’t have hired her. She would have hired herself. As the bickering continued, Taya made her way down to the ring. AJ went to stop her, but was booted right in the face. As Saraya distracted the referee, Taya went up on the apron and smacked Tapa in the face with a hard right. She twisted around into a small package from Saraya and the win! Tapa has lost her second match by pinfall in her career!
Saraya Knight defeated Tonga Tapa in 09:38 with a small package Rating: *** (Saraya Knight retained the WWN World Title in her 1st title defense)
Show rating: ***¼
Show notes: Tonga Tapa fails in recapturing the WWN World Title, and Taya may have incurred the wrath of the worst enemy possible. Next week, Ashley Flair has promised a grand celebration for herself, but it might be a short-lived title reign, as she defends the title against Sexi Star.

WWN - Showdown - 2017.02.22
Welcome everyone to a new edition of WWN Showdown! This is our last episode in this timeslot. Beginning March 1st, we will now air in a prime time slot! So be ready to watch the best women’s wrestling in the world today.
Sasha is cleared A video airs of “the Boss” Sasha Banks visiting RD Evans’ office. She hands him an official document from the WWN medical staff, clearing her for in-ring action. Banks wants a match against Saraya Knight for the World Title. RD says he knows she’s cleared, he got a copy of them as well. He cannot make any promises here and now, but will address the World Title picture next week. He knows Saraya is a fighting champion, so she will probably not back down from a fight. Rating: *
One more shot Backstage, LuKana approaches Ivelisse and Heidi Lovelace. The former World Tag Team champions says they got them twice now. First, they might have underestimated them, but the second time was damn impressive. Still, they felt they deserved a rematch. Lovelace says the chemistry with Ivelisse is impeccable, they can feel what the other feels at any time. Kana breaks in, asking Heidi if she feels pain when she knocks out Ivelisse. Heidi says she feels pain in her heart. Ivelisse has had enough, and says that they have lost twice, they don’t deserve more shots. Heidi tries to compromise, telling LuKana that they can have a second rematch if they manage to beat them both in singles competition. It’s a deal! Rating: *¼
Mia Yim vs Taeler Hendrix Mia missed SoCal Val in her match last week, but took the time before her match tonight in visiting the announce table. She ignored Val, however, but told D’Angelo that WWN had ONE good announcer. Her opponent, Taeler Hendrix, had yet to pick up a win here, but Mia’s lack of confidence as of late gave her a perfect opportunity. She went toe to toe with Mia for a few minutes, before Mia started with her lightning kicks. Taeler ducked or blocked most of them, and followed up by grabbing hold of Mia and kissing her on the lips. This “kiss of death” seemed to sap Mia for all strength, and Taeler easily picked her up, dumping her on the head with a tombstone piledriver for her very first win!
Taeler Hendrix defeated Mia Yim with the Kiss of Death after 03:41 Rating: *
Tonga wants revenge A video airs of an enraged Tonga Tapa tearing the locker room apart. AJ Mendez comes upon the scene and tries to calm her down. Tonga says she was the undefeated world champion. Now she’s nobody. And it’s all due to Taya and AJ’s inability to have her back. AJ says she tried her best, but Taya ambushed her from behind! AJ promises to help Tonga get revenge - and to get her title back. Tonga grabs hold of AJ and says she better. Or else she might be her next target. Rating: ***
Mia Yim in trouble We go to ringside, where Mia Yim is still present after her loss to Taeler Hendrix. She is next to Dinero and SoCal Val, complaining about the injustice she had been exposed to. That kiss not only violated her, it sapped all of her strength. That succubus should be disqualified! Val tries to talk to Mia, but gets cuts off by Mia, who only wants to talk to Dinero. D’Angelo says Mia should take her concerns up with RD, not him. Besides, there’s a match about to start, so she should perhaps be somewhere else. Rating:**
Donna Lee vs Jessica Havock in a No DQ match The trouble between these two women came to a boiling point tonight in this violent no dq match. Lee attacked Havock on her way to the ring, and the two brawled around the ring before even entering the squared circle. The weapons was brought forth early, with the two chair duelling and Donna hitting an STO on the chair. The match went back out, with Havock shoving Lee hard into the announce table. Val and Dinero had to move away as Havock and Lee climbed on top, Havock trying to hit the Harlot Slayer on Lee. Donna blocked it, and hit a DDT, breaking the table! Lee struggled bringing Havock inside the ring, and when she covered her, she kicked out. Lee went for the Joshitonic, but Havock blocked and hit a Gory special. Havock then dragged Lee towards the turnbuckle, climbed up with her and hit a super Harlot Slayer from the top rope! Nobody gets up from that.
Jessica Havock defeated Donna Lee with a Super Harlot Slayer in 11:10 Rating: ***
The Roses get another title shot A video airs of a foggy rooftop. A shadowy silhuette comes out of nowhere, landing next to White Rose. It’s her partner, Black Rose. The Puerto Rican says she’s just come from Commissioner Evans. Next week, they will challenge for the WWN World Tag Team Titles. White Rose says that while protecting the common people is the number one priority for the Roses, winning the championships is an achievement everyone will benefit from. The Roses are ready for next week! Rating: ****
A chat with the champ In the office of RD Evans, WWN World Champion Knight has been informed that Sasha Banks has been medically cleared, and wants a new shot at the championship. Knight laughs, and says she can kick Banks’ ass any day of the week and tells him to sign the match for next week. RD says he has a better idea. Which he will tell both of them next week. Rating: ****
Ashley Flair (c) vs Sexi Star for the WWN TV Title Ashley had promised a grand celebration for this week, and while many thought she would object to the celebration being postponed due to this title match, she was all smile when she made her way to the ring. Sexi has just come off a big victory over Gail Kim, and was highly motivated to win her second TV title. Her unorthodox lucha style seemed to be problematic for Flair, who never got close enough to use her power game. Flair made a brief comeback, hitting a big boot of nowhere for two. After being tossed to the outside by Flair, Star hit the ground hard. Flair was on her way out, but the referee blocked her, admonishing her to stay back. What the ref didn’t see, was Gail Kim running down to hit the Eat Defeat! Flair saw it, and while other champs would want to win in a decent way, Flair allowed Star to be counted out.
Ashley Flair defeated Sexi Star via countout in 05:38 Rating: **
To be the woman.. The TV champion then grabbed a microphone. She said that she promised everyone a grand celebration, and a grand celebration they should have. She then says there is someone back there whom she is eternally grateful to. He is her mentor, her trainer, the man who taught her everything. He is a two time Hall of Famer, he is Ric Flair! The crowd goes crazy as “the Nature Boy” Ric Flair enters the ring, woooing and strutting like only Ric Flair knows how. Ashley is smiling from ear to ear as Ric grabs a microphone. The former 16 times world champion says he has been all around the world and seen all the female talent the world has to offer. And nobody comes even close to her daughter. She has the genes, she has the training and now she has the gold to prove that she is the best wrestler there is - just like her father was. Father and daughter celebrate as the show goes off air. Rating: ****
Show rating: ***
Show notes: There has been rumblings for a while, but everyone was still surprised, shocked and awed when the legendary Ric Flair entered Showdown for the first time. With her father by her side, can anyone stop her from becoming the most dominant TV champion ever? Next week, the Roses attempt to win the Tag Titles from Ivelisse and Heidi Lovelace.

WWN - Showdown - 2017.03.01
Pick your Poison Welcome to Showdown! Tonight’s festivities started out in the middle of the ring, with General Manager RD Evans welcoming everyone before introducing the World Champion, Saraya Knight. The British veteran comes in to a mixture of cheers and boos. She grabs a mic, saying that now that she’s rid herself of Tonga Tapa and Sasha Banks, she will move on to the next worthy challenger. And the answer, of course, is none. RD stops her a bit, saying that she doesn’t make the call to who her challenger is. He then calls out Saraya’s next challenger - Sasha Banks! The Boss swaggers down and gets right into Knight’s face. RD needs to separate the two. RD says that in two weeks, they will wrestle for the WWN World Title. But first, we’re gonna have ourselves a Pick Your Poison game. First, Saraya Knight picks an opponent for Sasha tonight. Then, Sasha picks an opponent for Saraya for next week. Saraya says she already has a perfect opponent in mind for Sasha. Tonight, “The Boss” will go one on one with a former WWN World Champion - Gail Kim! Rating: **
Donna Lee vs Taeler Hendrix Throughout the match, SoCal Val and the Pope kept mentioning Taeler’s somewhat unorthodox way of winning her match against Mia Yim - the Kiss of Death. “Gingerlicious” is certainly one of the more flamboyant members of the roster, moving seductively and trying to entice both crowd, referee and opponent. Donna Lee may swing that way, but she is all business in the ring and wanted to get this one done and over with. However, Lee fell into a trap and got herself lip-locked by Taeler. The kiss dazed Donna, but not enough to keep her from moving. She rolled out of the ring and walked to the back, mumbling all to herself. Taeler picks up the countout victory.
Taeler Hendrix defeated Donna Lee via countout in 04:38 Rating: ***
You must have eyes in the back of your head A video airs of AJ Mendez approaching Taya. The former GM tells Taya that she’s here to delivering a warning for Tonga Tapa. Taya cuts her off, saying that this isn’t high school or the mafia. If Tonga has something to tell her, she can bloody well tell her in person. Just then, Tonga strikes from behind. As the Tongan put the boots to Taya, reaching down to choke her, AJ says that the warning is that she needs to have eyes in the back of her head. Her days here are numbered. Rating: ***½
Perra! Another video airs, this time of Sexi Star confronting Gail Kim backstage. Sexi speaks in Spanish, but the subtitles tells us that she’s angry with Gail for costing her the TV Title last week. She even calls Gail a perra (bitch). Gail tells Sexi she doesn’t speak Spanish, and that she hasn’t got time for this. She’s preparing for the main event tonight. The concept may be foreign to Sexi, as she has never main evented or held any meaningful championships in WWN. She is simply not main event caliber. Rating: ****
Ivelisse & Heidi Lovelace (c’s) vs The Roses for the WWN World Tag Team Titles The Roses have tagged together for a while, and have slowly risen in the tag team ranks of WWN. The Exotic Goddesses and The Beautiful People have been defeated in their ascent to the top. The champs however, have leap-frogged all the established teams to grab the title belts. And while they initially showed great reluctance tagging together (well, Ivelisse at least), they are starting to look more and more like a well-oiled machinery. The crowd was heavily divided in this match, but even with the crowd on their side and the fiery enthusiasm of the superheroes, they just couldn’t put the dot over the i and win the big one. The champions sent White Rose into the ropes and hit a double flapjack for the win to retain.
Ivelisse & Heidi Lovelace defeated The Roses with The Facepalm in 07:12 Rating: **** (Ivelisse & Heidi Lovelace retained the WWN World Tag Team Titles in their 2nd title defense)
You’ll never amount to anything As The Roses were still in the ring, The Beautiful People (including Bully Ray) came out on the ramp. Madison was laughing, telling the Roses that they would never amount to anything. This was like their fifth title shot, and they still couldn’t get the job done. Velvet Sky continues, saying that in fact, TBP lost on purpose against the Roses at My Bloody Valentine. Just to get their hopes up a little. Now they should realize what level they’re on, and what level they’ll always be at. Rating:**¼
Give us another chance! A video airs from backstage, where Ivelisse and Heidi have just arrived after successfully defending their WWN World Tag Team Titles. They are approached by LuKana. As usual, Lufisto does the talking, Kana does the staring. LuFisto says that she know they don’t owe them anything. They lost their contractual rematch. But face it, they are the best contenders in WWN right now. Heidi starts by saying that they are fighting champions and that (that’s as far as she gets before Ivelisse interrupts). The Puerto Rican says that LuFisto’s right. They don’t owe them anything. Therefore, there won’t be a title match. Heidi tells Ivelisse to not be so grumpy. Let’s give them a chance! LuFisto proposes that if they can beat them in two single matches, straight up, they deserve a title match. Ivelisse eyes Kana and turns back to LuFisto. She has always wanted to face “the Empress of Tomorrow” one on one. The deal is on! Rating: *3/4
I’m your poison WWN World Champion Saraya Knight is stalking the hallways of the arena, when she stumbles upon Sexi Star. In broken English, Star tells Knight she has been chosen by Sasha Banks to be her poison next week. Knight snickers, surprised that Sasha didn’t pick Tonga. Saraya says it doesn’t matter who her poison is, she is immune to it, and next week she will do to Star like she would with any other poisonous snake she would have encountered. Bite off its head, spit out the poison and chew up the rest. Star looks shocked as the world champion walks past her. Rating: ****
Gail Kim vs Sasha Banks Kim was still reeling from the loss to Sexi Star at My Bloody Valentine, and a win against someone like Banks would give her that boost of self-confidence she needed. This started out slow, with both wrestlers using rest holds to slowly wear her opponent down. Finishers were countered, and they clearly had each other scouted. Sasha felt Gail’s stinging kicks on more than one occasion, and victory almost slipped out of Gail’s hands when Sasha connected with her double knees in the corner. Kim normally picks up the victory with her Eat Defeat, and when that finisher eluded her, she was fresh out of options. She went to the bank a little too often, allowing Sasha to recover and hit the lung-blower and the Bank Statement. Torquing back to max effect put an enormous amount of stress on Gail’s back, forcing her to tap out to avoid injury.
Sasha Banks defeated Gail Kim with the Bank Statement in 09:49 Rating: **
Your next opponent will be A video airs of RD Evans getting inside a limousine. Already there - Ric and Ashley Flair. Evans comments that it wasn’t too long ago that he and Ashley sat in a limo, as a part of the Horsewomen. Ric pointed out that he bungled the Horsewomen idea, and when they had to break up, he bet on the wrong horse. RD puts his hands up, admitting to making an error in judgment. Ashley says that bygones can be bygones. Now that she’s the TV Champion, she needs to make sure he looks after her best interest. She wants a decent opponent for Pretty Amazing. RD says he’s got a great opponent for her. “The Havock Death Machine” Jessica Havock. Ric tells RD that they didn’t want a great challenger, they wanted a decent one! Ashley quiets her father, saying that she would take care of Jessica, just like she will take care of all other opponents put in her path. For she’s a Flair, and Flair’s beat people. Whooo! Rating: ****½
Show rating: ***
Show notes: Pick your poison continues next week, with Saraya Knight taking on Sexi Star. Ashley Flair will be in non-title action and Ivelisse will test her mettle one one one with Kana.

WWN - Showdown - 2017.03.08
Welcome to another edition of Showdown! Tonight’s main attraction will be a first time match, when WWN World Champion Saraya Knight takes on Sexi Star.
Black Rose vs Mandy Leon Rose and Leon are no strangers to each other, having had several matches as part of their respective tag-teams. “The Egyptian Princess” is having problems making a mark on the singles division, and the latin rhythms of the booty shaking Black Rose were too much for Leon tonight. Rose hits her patented frog splash for the win.
Black Rose defeated Mandy Leon with the Frog Splash in 02:53 Rating: **½
A word of warning A video airs of Tonga Tapa approaching Sasha Banks in the gym. Sasha has her eyes on Tonga, clearly remembering the beatings she has received from the Tongan in the past. Tonga smirks, but says that she is safe from her for now. She realizes that Sasha has a title shot next week. It doesn’t matter for Tonga who wins. It’s only a matter of time before the most dominant wrestler in WWN history is world champion again. Sasha doesn’t say anything, but the determined look on her face makes it clear that “the Boss” would like nothing more than to face Tapa again. Rating: **
What’s your strategy? As we see Ashley and Ric Flair make their grand entrance to the next match, we see an insert interview with Jessica Havock. D’Angelo Dinero is asking the challenger for Flair’s TV Title what her chances are, and if she sees Ashley as a tougher challenger now that her father, the dirtiest player in the game, is ringside. Havock says she’s no fool, she knows she needs to have eyes in the back of her head in order to win. She says her career is set back a year after being AJ Mendez’ slave, but now she’s where she belongs. In the title picture. Rating: **
Ashley Flair w/Ric Flair vs Kimberly It’s fair to say that the Flair’s entrance took longer than the match itself. The TV champion dominated her opponent from start to finish, hitting the Natural Selection to put her away.
Ashley Flair defeated Kimberly with the Natural Selection in 02:04 Rating: *¼
Flair not done Just after the match, Ric Flair enters the ring and tells her daughter to make an example out of Kimberly. Ashley proceeds to put her in the Figure Eight, not releasing the hold despite the bell calling out repeatedly. A couple of referees tries to intervene, but are kept at bay by Ric Flair swinging his jacket. They could probably have overpowered the aging Flair, but respect for the Hall of Famer kept them at bay. Jessica Havock had no such compulsions, as the Havoc Death Machine ran in to the ring. Ric managed to get out of the ring just in time. Ashley met Jessica with a big boot, but Havock got right back up and sent the TV Champion down with a lariat. Havock picked up Flair and motioned for the Harlot Slayer, to the crowd’s delight. She soaked in the crowd’s cheers for too long, however, and Ashley broke free of her grip and slipped between the ropes. As the Flair’s retreated, Jessica motioned around her waist. Rating: ***
Rematch, thank you Backstage, The Beautiful People approach The Roses. Madison says that they want a proper match. A battle fought on equal terms, not one where they felt they had to retreat to the back due to The Roses’ constant cheating. White Rose says they can try to convince everyone who the cheater is, but they can only fool themselves. If that. Black Rose says that at Pretty Amazing, the fans could finally witness what they’ve been waiting for. The Roses pinning The Beautiful People clean in the ring. Rating: **¾
Ivelisse w/Heidi Lovelace vs Kana w/LuFisto LuKana desperately wants another shot at the WWN World Tag Team titles currently held by Ivelisse and Heidi Lovelace. After two straight losses, Ivelisse initially rejected a third title match. However, if Kana and LuFisto could beat them in two straight singles matches, they would be granted another title shot. Not impossible, but quite the challenge because Ivelisse and Lovelace are generally seen as stronger singles wrestlers. Both have held the TV Title, Ivelisse on two occasions.
While the two were accompanied by their tag team partners, this was a fair and straight contest between two fantastic wrestlers in the prime of their career. The fast-paced action, the near-falls, the solid strikes and the fluid chain wrestling dazzled the crowd and amazed the announcers. After a series of submission move attempts and subsequent reversals, Kana suddenly had Ivelisse trapped in the Kana Lock. With no place to go, and maybe with not too much on the line (at this stage), Ivelisse chose to submit. As Kana celebrated, Ivelisse sent Heidi a look that clearly said: “now it’s up to you”. We’ll have to wait for next week to see wheter LuKana manages to secure a third title challenge!
Kana defeated Ivelisse with the Kana Lock in 06:47 Rating: ****¼
Truce? In RD Evans’ office, AJ Mendez brings a bottle of scotch. AJ says they must have come out on the wrong foot. She knows she put her own in jeopardy, and that all he did was take the vacant spot. No hard feelings. RD appreciates the gesture, and says that he might have come off rude as a defensive measure. He’s still new to the job and the amount of criticism that (naturally) comes with the territory. As they shake hands and AJ leaves, AJ smiles deviously. RD puts the bottle of scotch in a drawer, shaking his head in disbelief of AJ’s obvious ploy. Rating: ****
Saraya Knight vs Sexi Star - Non title match Last week, Saraya put Sasha Banks up against Gail Kim in their “Pick your poison” challenge. “The Boss” reciprocated by choosing the masked Sexi Star as Knight’s opponent. What we witnessed tonight was a violent brawl from the start. Saraya doesn’t need enemies or feuds in order to bring out the fists and her brawling game. She knows it’s her best chance of winning a bout, and that Sexi’s ground game and lucha skills might prove problematic for her. She might have forgotten Star’s extensive boxing training, for she gave as much (if not more) as she got. The result was a wild brawl that went out into the crowd, past the announcers and back into the ring. One of Knight’s haymakers missed the target and struck down the referee. The match continued, with Star hitting the Fisherman Neckbreaker on Saraya. As she tried to revive the referee, Gail Kim came running in! She grabbed Sexi and hit Eat Defeat on her. She draped Saraya over Star just as the referee came to.
Saraya Knight defeated Sexi Star via pinfall in 07:20 Rating: ****
Staredown and brawl As Sasha Banks came out on the ramp for a staredown on the clearly tired and bruised world champion, Kim continued her attack on Sexi Star. Star managed to turn the tides, attacking Kim in the corner. Saraya considered helping Kim, but decided not to get involved. Star hits the Swinging Neckbreaker on Kim as the show come to a close. These two are clearly not done with each other, and may easily have a destined meeting at Pretty Amazing. Rating: *¾
Show rating: ***
Show notes: Next week, Saraya Knight will face Sasha Banks for the WWN World Title. Will her wounds from tonight’s hard encounter be fully healed? Or will “the Boss” take her throne as the World Champion of WWN? LuFisto battles Heidi Lovelace, with a WWN World Tag Team title match on the line. Until next week!

WWN - Showdown - 2017.03.15
It’s a big night on Showdown, as “the Boss” Sasha Banks will go one on one with Saraya Knight over the WWN Wold Title. Banks has had her eyes set on the World Title and on the veteran for a long time, will tonight be her night? But first, let’s go to another angry woman.
Sexi looking for Gail A video airs of Sexi Star lightly running backstage, an angry and determined look on her face. She’s asking around for Gail Kim. Suddenly, she sees her, and starts running. Gail turns, and immediately heads the other way. Before she reaches up to her, Sexi bumps into Tonga Tapa. The former world champ grabs Sexi from behind and slams her into a wall. Tonga tells Sexi to be careful where she’s going. She might get hurt. And that, she doesn’t need tonight. Tonga tells Sexi that they have a match, later. Sexi breaks loose of Tonga’s hold and sees Gail disappear. Sexi tells Tonga she’ll see her out there. Rating: ***¼
Don’t pull that trick on me again! As we see clips from several weeks ago when Taeler Hendrix beat Mia Yim after delivering her specialty, her “kiss of death”. The video pans out, and it turns out Mia is showing Taeler the highlights from the match on a tablet. Mia wants to know what Taeler thinks she’s doing. Taeler blinks seductively, licks her lips and says that it’s her little trick. People don’t see it coming, and it gives her the advantage she needs. Mia smiles, and says that now that she knows of her little “trick”, she won’t fall for it again. Taeler wants a match for next week to prove her wrong, and Mia accepts. Rating: *¾
Heidi Lovelace w/Ivelisse vs LuFisto w/Kana A match like this is exciting enough without the added incentive of LuKana getting a title shot if LuFisto could defeat “The Punk Rock Rag Doll”. Kana did her job last week, now it was the Canadian veteran’s turn. Lovelace used her speed and longer reach to dominate the older woman, scoring a near fall with a spinebuster. The win was close, and outside the ring, Ivelisse could taste victory as she taunted Kana on the other side. LuFisto knew she was running out of time and reacted lightning quick when Heidi went for the Shining Wizard. She got her up on her shoulders and delivered a death valley driver in the corner. A cannonnball followed. LuFisto was on fire now, getting Heidi on her shoulders and hitting the Burning Hammer to put Lovelace away.
LuFisto defeated Heidi Lovelace with the Burning Hammer in 06:48 Rating:****
Who’s laughing now? We see a video of Sasha preparing for the WWN World Title match later tonight, when Saraya Knight sneaks in with a steel pipe. Sasha hears her and ducks the strike. She tackles Knight, who loses the steel pipe. The punches rain down on Saraya, who pushes Banks off. She tries to charge her again, but Sasha kicks her in the chest and hits a clothesline. She picks up the steel pipe and holds it threateningly over Saraya. She says that having enemies like AJ Mendez and herself has taught her to sleep with one eye open. She could destroy her now like the old derelict she is, but the taste of gold wouldn’t taste as good if she did. Rating: ***
In 10 days, we dance We see a video of Ivelisse and Heidi trying to go over what really happened these two weeks. How could they lose a match each and get put in this predicament? Then, LuFisto and Kana shows up smiling, thanking both opponents for good matches and asking them if they look forward to Pretty Amazing. Ivelisse says that while they might have beaten them both one-on-one, but they’re not beating the most cohesive tag-team in history. Heidi smiles at this comment. Kana hisses, and tells the champions “In 10 days, we dance!” Rating: *½
Sexi Star vs Tonga Tapa The masked luchadora is still not done with Gail Kim, who has been a thorn in her side for some time now. While chasing Kim, Star bumped into Tonga Tapa. The former champion took offense and challenged Star to a match. Star is not one to shy away from a challenge, and accepted. Star’s offense is highly lucha based, and while Star quickly found out that armdragging Tonga around wasn’t that easy, Star wasn’t afraid to climb up top for some top rope armdrags, and managed to throw Tapa to the outside. Sexi dove on top of her, but Tonga caught her and slammed her on the apron. Tonga dominated Star for a couple of minutes, but didn’t go for the cover. When Tonga realized her recent nemesis Taya was in the front row, her attention faltered, allowing Sexi to almost pull off the win with a roll up. As the referee tried to send Taya to the back, someone else snuck in from the opposite side. It was Gail Kim, and she attacked Sexi! Soon, Taya hit the ring as well, brawling with Tonga. The ref threw out the match at this point.
Sexi Star and Tonga Tapa battled to a no-contest in 05:17 Rating: *¼
Sitdown with the Flairs The Pope has had a sitdown with the Flairs. He says it’s an honor having them both here, and that he never thought Ric Flair would ever come to WWN. Ric says that he is there for his family, wherever they are. And right now, Ashley was the pride of the family. Dinero asks if the rumors are true, did Ric break the wage ceiling of WWN? Ric denies those rumors, saying he took a hefty wage reduction in order to work with his daughter. Ashley chimes in, saying that her father deserves every penny. He brings in new viewers every week. Viewers eager to see not only him, but the Queen herself. They talk briefly about the TV Title match coming up at Pretty Amazing, Ashley saying that Jessica is a tough opponent, but she’s not a winner. She has never held any titles in WWN, and that situation will not change come March 25. Rating: ****
Best of buddies? In RD Evans’ office, AJ and RD are sipping drinks and watching the entrance of Sasha Banks. RD asks AJ if she wants to put some money on one of them. AJ says she’s stopped gambling ever since she gambled away her job. RD then asks how her wrestler career fares? She doesn’t request any matches, she doesn’t complain when she’s not booked. Does she really want to be a wrestler? It looks like she is considering a response, but instead she bets 1000 dollars on Saraya to win. RD laughs, but says he’ll take that bet. He bets on Sasha. Rating: ***¼
Saraya Knight (c) vs Sasha Banks Once they were allies, now they are foes. They teamed up against Team AJ for War Games last year, but as Saraya Knight put it, there is no friends when it comes to the WWN World Title. Having seen of the rematch of Tonga Tapa last month, Knight’s next challenger was “the Boss”. Saraya is an intimidating woman, but Sasha hasn’t been known as “the Boss” for backing down to anyone. As Knight slugged away at Sasha, she gave back with interest. As is common with Saraya’s matches, they tend to spill to the outside. This is Knight’s element. It can also backfire, as it did when Sasha reversed an Irish Whip, sending the champion into the barricades. This was not a street fight or a falls count anywhere match, but they must have spent more time outside of the ring than inside of it. The referee was lenient at times, while other times he shouted for them to get back in. At one point, Sasha was going back in to break up the count, but Saraya grabbed her leg. As Sasha held on to the ropes, she shouted out to Saraya to let her go so she could break the count. When Saraya didn’t let go, Sasha kicked her in the face and got back in just in time for the 10-count. Saraya however, was not that lucky.
Saraya retains the championship, but she cannot be happy that Sasha got the win.
Sasha Banks defeated Saraya Knight by countout in 09:42 Rating: ¾* (Saraya Knight retains the WWN World Title in her 2nd title defense)
Clandestine meeting A video airs of RD Evans meeting with Ric Flair alone in his office. Ric says that while Ashley loves the TV Title, they both knew she should be in the World Title picture. RD agrees, but points out to Ric that in WWN, the secondary title actually means something. And with Ashley as a dominant champ, backed by Ric, it will be even more prestigious. Ric seems to be buying the argument. RD continues, saying that once upon a time, the secondary titles meant something in other places to. He wants that here. Ric nods, and says he agrees. Ashley will become the most dominant TV champ of all time, and when the time is right, they will get their chance at the World Title. They shake hands. Rating: ***¾
Show rating: **½
Show notes: Sasha Banks defeats Saraya Knight, but the title does not change hands on a countout. What will this have to say for the World Title picture? We’re only 10 days away from Pretty Amazing!

WWN - Showdown - 2017.03.22
Welcome to the last Showdown before Pretty Amazing! Tonight’s main event is a bout between Sasha Banks and Velvet Sky. But first, let’s go to a rematch from last month here on Showdown.
Mia Yim vs Taeler Hendrix Last month, Taeler won her first match in WWN. She defeated Mia Yim with a piledriver she likes to call “the Kiss of Death”. The move was preceded by an actual kiss (of death), a move Mia did not appreciate in the least. Mia fared better in the rematch, keeping Taeler at arm’s length with a combination of kicks and throws. From the announce booth, Mia’s former manager, SoCal Val rooted for her, even though it has been obvious for weeks now that Mia resents Val choosing broadcast duties over her. Taeler gained control when Mia injured herself on a dive, landing awkwardly on her arm. When Taeler started taking control, Val left the announce booth to shout words of encouragement to Mia. Yim yelled back at Val to go back to the announce booth, allowing Taeler to scoop her up for a schoolgirl and the win.
Taeler Hendrix defeated Mia Yim with a schoolgirl roll up in 03:42 Rating: **¾
Matchmaking In RD Evans office, AJ is here to collect her winnings. She says that since Saraya retained the title, he owes her 1000 dollars. RD corrects her, saying that since Sasha won the match, she owes him 1000 dollars. They both reluctantly call the bet even, though you could see both wanted to argue more over it. AJ says that Tonga still wants a piece of Taya. RD says she can have Taya tonight. Only catch is, AJ is in the match too. A handicap match. AJ seems torn between happy and dissatisfied. Rating: **¼
Jessica Havock vs Mandy Leon In 3 days, Jessica faces Ashley Flair for the TV Title. This was a perfect warm-up match for J-Hav. Using her massive size advantage against the “Egyptian Princess”, Havock tossed her around like a small doll. The toying went a little too far, and Mandy hit back with a frankensteiner after a handstand. Despite this small offense, the victory was never really in any doubt. Jessica Havock defeated Mandy Leon with the Harlot Slayer in 03:23 Rating: *
The Flairs want a word As Jessica celebrated her win, Ric Flair came out with a microphone. He sarcastically congratulates Jessica on this tremendous win. Unfortunately for her, she would find Ashley Flair to be of a quite different caliber than Mandy Leon. And unlike last week, she wouldn’t be able to get the jump on the champion. As Jessica listened to the legendary Ric, Ashley snuck in from behind and took out Jessica’s leg. She kept stomping and kicking away on it, putting her in the Figure Eight. Almost immediately, Jessica turned around, turning the momentum, the pain and the pressure. Ashley got back to her feet before being unceremoniously clotheslined over the ropes. Jessica motioned for Ashley to get back in the ring and finished what she started, but the Flairs thought better of it and retreated. Jessica limped a little on her way out, maybe the damage has already been done? Rating: ****
Matchmaking # 2 In RD Evans’ office, Sexi Star barges in and demands a match with Gail Kim. RD is lukewarm to the idea. He says the fans have already seen that match. She won. Why not move on? Sexi says (in Spanish), that Gail is never going to leave her alone. She doesn’t take kindly to losing. RD asks what she suggests. Sexi says she wants another lucha de apuesta. More specifially, a Máscara o cabellera contra retiro. RD says he doesn’t speak enough Spanish to understand what that is. “Mask vs career”, Sexi responds. RD says, “now, that is interesting”. Rating: **¾
Taya vs Tonga Tapa & AJ in 2-on-1 handicap match Tonga and Taya is two of the most powerful built women in WWN. Tonga is a former World Champion. This match was not an even or fair one, but Taya didn’t seem to mind. She got the chance to get her hands on both of her recent rivals. AJ tried to stay out of this for as long as possible, but when she saw Tonga controlling their opponent, she tagged herself in. After hitting a couple of moves and strikes, Taya countered with a spinebuster. AJ tried desperately to tag, but Taya prevented her from doing so. Tonga was on her way in to break up the domination, but Taya saw it and dropkicked her off the apron, causing the former champion to fall to the ground. Before Tapa could recover, Taya picked up AJ and hit the spinning side slam for the win.
After the match, Tonga was visibly upset with AJ for losing a handicap match for them.
Taya defeated Tonga Tapa & AJ when she pinned AJ after the spinning side slam in 04:39 Rating: *¾
Matchmaking # 3 RD Evans has yet another visitor in his office. This time, it is an enraged World Champion. Saraya first berates RD for not firing the referee in last week’s World Title Match. He had to give them more leeway. It was too important a match for a countout decision. Then, she demands a rematch against Sasha at Pretty Amazing. Only this time, she wanted a Falls Count Anywhere match. RD starts laughing. When Saraya asks what’s so funny, RD says he called Sasha earlier this week to suggest something like this. Sasha said not to worry, Saraya would suggest it herself. She would never let something like this stand. He quotes Sasha, saying: “Saraya is a bitch, but a bitch with honor”. Saraya has a sneer on her face, but nods and leaves the office. Seems like we have our main event for Pretty Amazing! Rating: ****¼
Gail accepts challenge A video airs of Gail Kim taping herself. She starts by saying that she normally doesn’t tape herself like some amateur indy wrestler, but she couldn’t guarantee a peaceful meeting with Sexi. Gail has always been a mainstay in WWN. She was the first knockout champion, the title that eventually became the WWN World Championship. She has been tag team champion with multiple partners. And now, this woman comes along and wants to rocket herself to the main event on her behalf? Well, it wouldn’t happen. At Pretty Amazing, everyone would be able to see Sexi’s real face. The mask would be gone, and the shame and humiliation would follow the luchadora for the rest of her career. Rating: ****½
Sasha Banks vs Velvet Sky w/Madison Rayne First time meeting between “the Boss” and one-half of The Beautiful People. Sasha has just secured herself a rematch for the WWN World Title on Saturday, while TBP are squaring off against the Roses in another rematch - this time from My Bloody Valentine. Sky apparently didn’t know what all the fuss with Banks was, and went into this one too confident. She might have not have paid too much attention to the parts of WWN not involving her, for Sasha is one of the most skilled, intense and hard-working wrestlers on the roster. Even with Madison running interference, the Boss handled it well, not falling for their obvious ploys and irish whipping Sky into Rayne. Back inside the ring, Banks hits a crucifix, locking Sky’s shoulders for the pinfall.
Sasha Banks defeated Velvet Sky with a crucifix in 06:12 Rating: ***
Full chaos Madison Rayne attacked Sasha immediately following the bell, hitting a DDT to stun the top contender. She and Sky put the boots to her until the Roses came out for the save. Clad in capes, the superheroines were a sight to behold. This left Sasha open for Saraya Knight! The world champion attacked with the championship belt, but Sasha ducked the strike and hit a lungblower followed by Bank Statement. Guards came out to separate TBP and the Roses, but before they got into the ring, the audience got to see Saraya tap out to the Bank Statement. How does this play into the psychological game going into Pretty Amazing? Rating: *
