Where we've been:
Team Elite For months, Edge, Chris Jericho, Jack Swagger and Cody Rhodes ran roughshod over the superstars of WWE Raw as Team Elite. The superpower even went as far as to hold the World (Edge), United States (Jericho), and World Tag Team Titles (Swagger & Rhodes). However, with a power struggle on top finally reaching a boiling point at Armageddon as every member lost his titles, Jericho and Swagger laid the blame on Edge for "dropping the ball". Despite this, they hoped to turn things around at the Royal Rumble but found themselves unable to do so. As a result, Jericho and Swagger attacked Edge the next night on Raw, but Cody Rhodes came to the id of the Rated R Superstar! Edge and Jericho are set to face off at WrestleMania, as the implosion of Team Elite finally comes to a head!
"Better Than You" At Survivor Series, CM Punk and John Cena were the only survivors on their team as they defeated Team Elite, earning themselves a World title match against Edge at Armageddon. With Punk in control and looking to regain his championship toward the end of the match, Cena swooped in and delivered an Attitude Adjustment on both men to win he championship! A furious Punk confronted Cena, only to be rebuked and told to earn his shot, which he did by winning the Royal Rumble match! Punk wasted no time in declaring his intentions the next night on Raw, announcing that he would face World champion John Cena for the championship at WrestleMania XXVI! The two have been embroiled in a battle of one-upsmanship ever since. Punk promises to be the better man and better champion come WrestleMania, but history tells us to never count Cena out...
The Freak-out Phenom Perhaps the most bitter battle over the past eight months has been between The Undertaker and United States champion The Brian Kendrick! Looking to make a name for himself, Kendrick jumped right out and called out The Phenom. Kendrick played cat and mouse with Taker, substituting Ezekiel Jackson in his place for their bout at Vengeance before Taker finally got his hands on him at SummerSlam, defeating the self-proclaimed Freak-out Phenom with a Tombstone. Many expected this to be the end, but Kendrick wouldn't relent. In a handicap match at Breaking Point, Kendrick and his physician, Zack Rydershocked the world as Kendrick pinned Taker! At a special Halloween Havoc event, Kendrick further incenced the Dead Man, using help from Ezekiel and Ryder to defeat him in a First Blood Match. Taker had had enough, and demanded a Casket Match with his rival at Survivor Series! Though everyone expected this to be the last of The Freak-out Phenom, he enlisted the aid of his Entourage and The Invasion (Nigel McGuinness, Santino Marella, and Vladimir Kozlov) to bury the Taker! In the months following, Taker didn't return and Kendrick won the United States championship in an Elimination Chamber match. But at the Royal Rumble, Taker returned by eliminating Kendrick from the Royal Rumble match. With the Phenom back in action, will the loud mouthed US champion finally rest in peace?
Golden Invasion In a serendipitous surprise, the Invasion's leader William Regal left Raw the same night that Nigel McGuinness debuted for the brand. Come to think of it now, perhaps it wasn't so much of a surprise. Ever since, this brutal trio has gone on to win and currently hold the World Tag Team championships and the recently-resurrected European championship! Recently, Nigel has made offers to both Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston (who he defends his championship against next week) to join his Invasion, but neither has commented on his statements or requests yet.
The Rise of GSH Gregory Shane Helms finally came into his own this past year, albeit in a very dubious manner. Costing Jeff Hardy the World championship at SummerSlam and ousting him from the company the next night, GSH went on to dominate his competition for the remainder of the year, entering the Elimination Chamber match for the US title at Armageddon. His train was derailed by Triple H mid-match, but GSH wouldn't take this laying down as he laid waste to The Game his elimination, making Hunter easy pray for The Brian Kendrick to eliminate him and eventually pick up the championship. Since then, GSH and HHH have had a physical and mental war, going so far as to eliminate one another from the Royal Rumble match! GSH is coming into his own, but picking a fight with The Game can tank anyone's aspirations...
Undefeated Warrior Finally, "The Celtic Warrior" Sheamus made his debut for the brand and has dominated the competition since his arrival, going undefeated in the time period and eliminating a Royal Rumble-high six competitors this year! It seems that we may be seeing the rise of a very capable competitor and future champion...

February 22, 2010 -- WWE Monday Night Raw
A Deal in the Making
Raw GM Mr. Kennedy opened Raw by introducing the new Raw-exclusive concept match that will make its debut at WrestleMania: the Raw Deal. The Raw Deal would consist of eight men doing battle elimination style where superstars can be eliminated via pinfall, submission, or being thrown over the top rope. The last man standing will earn a World title opportunity that can be cashed in anytime. Kennedy said there would also be a US, European, and Tag Team title shot up for grabs to the runners-up. Triple H made his way out and promised to run through the rest of the superstars to get his shot at the world title. But this brought out MVP, who will be facing Hunter in the main event tonight, saying that he's due his shot at the world belt. And at WrestleMania, he's going to get his chance to shine.
Sheamus pinned Kung Fu Naki with the Irish Curse in 0:03:41. Rating: * *
The Celtic Warrior continues to tear through the competition here on Raw, adding an impressive victory over Kung Fu Naki. After the match, Sheamus talked up his current undefeated streak in WWE competition and said that if Raw GM Mr. Kennedy has any guts, he'll book Sheamus to fight in the Raw Deal match at WrestleMania. Because he can and will run over every WWE superstar to make his way to the World Heavyweight championship. Strong words from Sheamus tonight, and he certainly has the strength and ability to back up his claims.
An All-American Challenge In a backstage interview, Jack Swagger said that last week's attack by Edge was an under-handed tactic by a lowlife degenerate. Swagger said that if Edge has the guts, he'll take on the All-American American one-on-one next week. Swagger said he would put Edge out of commission before Chris Jericho even got a chance. He told Edge to watch his match with John Cena later tonight to see just what he's capable of. Edge accepted the challenge in a backstage promo later in the evening, promising to wipe the smug smile from his All-American mug.
Ezekiel pinned Shad Gaspard with the Standing Side Slam in 0:05:03. Rating: *
After Zack Ryder was able to upend Cryme Tyme's JTG last week, The Entourage's resident powerhouse went into singles action against Shad Gaspard. In an impressive show of brute force and strength by each, Ezekiel came out on top. But after the match, just like last week, the lights went out and The Undertaker's gong sounded after match. When the lights returned, Taker was nowhere to be found. With the news that The Undertaker was in attendance tonight, The Entourage made haste in evacuating the building for the remainder of the evening.
Hell to Pay Later in the night, The Undertaker finally made his return to Raw after coming back to WWE at the Royal Rumble. He said that at one time, he underestimated the United States champion. But after Survivor Series last year, there is hell to pay. Taker said that The Brian Kendrick can run all he wants. He can hide wherever he likes. But he announced that at WrestleMania XXVI, the two of them would go to hell one more time. At WrestleMania, he's putting his streak on the line against Kendrick… in Hell in a Cell!
John Cena pinned Jack Swagger with the Attitude Adjustment in 0:11:47. Rating: * * * * 1/4
In their continual showcases of one-upsmanship, it was the world champion's turn to show off this week. After his victory over Rey Mysterio last week Punk claimed that he was a better wrestler, better man, and would be a better champion than Cena. Before his match this week, Cena labeled his opponent Jack Swagger as "the total package". He claimed this despite Swagger having the "decency of a Vegas call girl and the looks of a jackass". This incensed Swagger to the point that it looked that he may be able to overcome the champion. Fortunately for Cena, he was able to catch Swagger off-guard and pin him with the Attitude Adjustment. Cena looked into the camera and said "top that", but shortly thereafter, CM Punk came up on the TitanTron and said that next week, he would pick an opponent of the utmost ability and success. He invited John Cena to do the same and to come watch his match to see what he had in store for him at WrestleMania. We would later find out that Cena promised to be in action next week as well, as he faces the dangerous and undefeated Sheamus!
Invasion Invitation? Backstage, Kofi Kingston was interviewed about his European championship bout with Nigel McGuinness next week. Kofi said that Nigel was helped by MVP and Gregory Shane Helms last year at Survivor Series when he took the championship from him. But next week, Kofi promised to regain the championship and end Nigel's reign as European champ. McGuinness interrupted to wish the challenger luck in their match next week. Nigel informed Kofi that they were the next two competitors announced for the Raw Deal at WrestleMania and said that he sees a lot of potential in the Jamaican Sensation, especially after defeating The Brian Kendrick last week. He told Kofi that he has a standing invitation to join his Invasion. Before Kofi could respond, Nigel told him to think about it and said, "see you next week" before making his way to the ring.
Joe Hennig and Ray Gordy defeated The Invasion (Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov) when Gordy defeated Santino by disqualification in 0:13:25. Rating: * * (The Invasion retained the World Tag Team Titles.) [Nigel McGuinness interfered against Ray Gordy.][/i]
In an enormous opportunity for the two young WWE rookies, Hennig and Gordy will be taking home the winners' purse for their bout against The Invasion despite that they won't be taking home the tag team championships. McGuinness once again made his presence known, attacking both Gordy and Hennig during their title shot tonight, causing a disqualification. The Invasion would retain, but Mr. Kennedy would announce later in the evening that Hennig and Gordy would be guaranteed another opportunity at The Invasion's championship gold!
Triple H pinned Montel Vontavious Porter with the Pedigree in 0:16:01. Rating: * * * 1/2
In tonight's main event, two superstars who will be competing in the Raw Deal match at WrestleMania waged war in a preview of what could be at WrestleMania. Upon hearing this, MVP looked to dish out as much pain as possible to gain an upper hand going into WrestleMania. But The Game proved to be too much this time, putting Mr. 305 away with a Pedigree. After the match, however, Gregory Shane Helms rushed the ring and attacked Triple H, knocking a winded Game out with a Shining Wizard and announcing that Mr. Kennedy had granted him a spot in the Raw Deal! And at WrestleMania, he's going to climb to the top and push Triple H off the mountain once and for all!

Welcome to the boards! A victory over Funaki is impressive? Thanks! I was on the old boards a lot, but haven't been inspired to do much with TNM again until recently. So I'm excited to see if I can still have some fun! As for Fu Naki, shall I say... impressive-looking, perhaps? He beat the dojo pants offa him, essentially.

I like your version of the WWE. You've pushed several guys I like, and I don't see any of the WWE guys I don't really care for. The storylines you are running make sense, and you have also put in a surprise one - Kendrick vs Undertaker? Love it.
I haven't read the previous results (am at work), but do you have a brand split and all that? Two sets of titles?

I enjoy what you have so far. Agree with Rey619 that Undertaker vs Kendrick is interesting. I look forward to what you do with the Fortunate Sons. Keep it up.
P.S. Cool wiki page.

I haven't read the previous results (am at work), but do you have a brand split and all that? Two sets of titles? Thanks for the comments! Yeah, there was and is a brand split and a whole seperate roster and brand. My brother runs Smackdown. There's a link on my wiki to his, but he's fallen a bit behind. Originally we were just doing this to entertain ourselves and each other, but I felt like sharing.

WWE Monday Night Raw (March 1, 2010)
Kung Fu Naki pinned CM Punk after a savate kick in 0:08:05. Rating: ***
Last week, CM Punk promised to show up the world champion by facing an individual of "the utmost ability and success." Imagine guest commentator John Cena's surprise when he found out Punk's intended opponent was Kung Fu Naki! Punk took his time in this match, showboating to the world champion at ringside and holding the early advantage. But as it turned out, the Straightedge Superstar paid a bit too much attention to Cena, as Fu Naki was able to surprise Punk with a savate kick right to the jaw and pin the stunned superstar! Fu Naki wins! After the match, a dazed Punk argued that Cena purposefully distracted him during match. Cena obviously denied this, laughing as he went to prepare for his match against Sheamus tonight.
Backstage, Mr. Kennedy addressed last week's match between tag team champions The Invasion and The Fortunate Sons. Kennedy said that since the bout ended in a disqualification due to Nigel McGuinness's interference, he was booking a rematch for the championships next week, and that match will have no disqualifications!
Nigel McGuinness pinned Kofi Kingston after an enzuigiri in 0:10:08. Rating: *** 3/4 (Nigel McGuinness retained the WWE European Title.)[/i]
These two men will take part in the Raw Deal match at WrestleMania, but there was even more on the line tonight as Kingston put up a great fight for the European championship. Last week, Nigel told Kofi he has a standing invitation to join the Invasion, an invitation that was also extended to Rey Mysterio some weeks ago. Whether that was weighing on the mind of the Jamaican Sensation or not is questionable, but Kofi was never able to hit that knockout blow in the Trouble in Paradise, whereas Nigel hit a surprise shot of his own. An enzuigiri out of nowhere knocked Kofi unconscious and allowed McGuinness to retain the championship. The leader of the Invasion is certainly on a hot streak since his arrival in WWE last year. Perhaps he'll claim the world championship opportunity at WrestleMania?
Cody Rhodes was interviewed backstage, as he said that he'd been informed that he would be one of the eight Raw competitors to take part in the Raw Deal match at WrestleMania. He said that he learned a lot from his time in Team Elite, and he's ready to use that to earn himself a World title match. Rhodes's former teammate Jack Swagger interrupted, saying that he'd be in the Raw Deal as well. And he's going to claim that World championship match, because he's the All-American American, and it's his time.
Montel Vontavious Porter pinned Triple H after a gutbuster in 0:15:38. Rating: *** 3/4 [Gregory Shane Helms interfered against Triple H.][/i]
After last week's loss to The Game, MVP challenged Triple H to a rematch this week. Since losing the US championship to Rey Mysterio last year, MVP has been a raw, vicious, physical competitor and that came though tonight. In the end, MVP had some aid on his side, as for the second straight week, Gregory Shane Helms blindsided Hunter with a chairshot to the gut, allowing MVP to hit a gutbuster and pin an exasperated Game. All three of these men join Nigel McGuinness, Kofi Kingston, and as announced tonight, Jack Swagger and Cody Rhodes in the Raw Deal. What will happen when Triple H and GSH are finally face-to-face at WrestleMania?
Edge pinned Jack Swagger with the Spear in 0:16:18. Rating: ** 3/4
Exactly one month ago, Chris Jericho and Jack Swagger physically booted Edge from Team Elite, essentially dismantling the powerful supergroup. Tonight, Edge gained a small measure of revenge as he pinned Jack Swagger after the Spear. During the bout, Chris Jericho cut an insert promo, saying that at WrestleMania, he's going to prove that he was the Savior that carried Team Elite for months. The Rated R Superstar looks like he's ready for WrestleMania. This should be explosive!
Sheamus pinned John Cena with the Irish Curse in 0:12:35. Rating: *** [CM Punk interfered against John Cena.][/i]
The undefeated Celtic Warrior has pinned the world heavyweight champion! This was an intense, physical battle that looked to be in Cena's control toward the end, but CM Punk returned to the ring and hopped on the apron, continuing his argument with Cena, saying the champ cost him his match earlier in the evening! Cena dropped what he was doing to confront his WrestleMania opponent. When he finally turned around, Sheamus hit him with a pump kick and finished Cena with the Irish Curse to pick up the biggest win of his young WWE career! Punk looked innocent as he went back up the ramp, saying that it wasn't his fault. Cena was unconscious as Sheamus continued his celebration to close the show.

Several surprising results here tonight, at least if you compare to the real WWE. I haven't had the time to read the backlog of shows on the wiki, so the power balance may have shifted in your universe.
I like McGuinness and the Golden Invasion. Both in-ring and promo-wise, Nigel is a younger William Regal.
Are the PPVs brand-specific? Or do you and your brother cooperate on them? Running like this sounds like a ton of fun, but I can understand that it can become problematic to keep up with each other.

I've been surprised with how much I've grown to love the OTHER members of The Invasion since I brought Nigel in and Regal left (which literally happened at the same show... Nigel was originally supposed to be second under Regal in the stable). But having a more serious Santino as a submission expert teaming with Kozlov just seems to have worked. The PPVs are mostly brand specific, aside from the Big Four. On those, we tend to just book our half of the show (four matches or so) and report those.

WWE Monday Night Raw (March 8, 2010)
The Brian Kendrick pinned Jamie Noble with the Kendrick in 0:05:47. Rating: *** 1/2
The United States champion finally seems to be rolling leading into WrestleMania. This opening bout was his first appearance since it was announced that he would be facing his nemesis The Undertaker at WrestleMania in Hell in a Cell. During the match, Kendrick cut an insert promo saying that he's pinned the Dead Man, made him bleed, and he's buried him. Kendrick said he'd stare into the eyes of the Devil and wouldn't blink. At WrestleMania, the United States champion promised that the legendary streak would be over.
World Heavyweight champion John Cena made his way out to the ring and demanded CM Punk come face him after costing him his match against Sheamus last week. Punk came out, unapologetic, and said it was Cena who owed him an apology for distracting him during his match against Kung Fu Naki! The two got in one another's faces and jawed back and forth until Punk said that this was all a misunderstanding and he wanted to let cooler heads prevail. Punk suggested they take a tag team match next week and show the mutual respect they ought to have for one another. Cena was uncertain, but the fans were supportive and the champ accepted his proposition. It looks like these two may have found a level of respect that could carry over into a strong main event at WrestleMania. They'll have to work together next week, however, as we would later find that their opponents would be current world tag team champions Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov!
Rey Mysterio and Cody Rhodes battled to a no contest in 0:12:08. Rating: *** [Sheamus interfered against Rey Mysterio.] [Sheamus interfered against Cody Rhodes.][/i]
Before this match, it was announced that Rey Mysterio would be the final entrant into the Raw Deal match at WrestleMania. Rey and Cody shook hands before this match, setting the stage for what promised to be a strong encounter. After about 12 minutes of back-and-forth, however, "The Celtic Warrior" Sheamus came and decimated both competitors. He took the mic and complained that he should have been awarded a spot in the Raw Deal. He called Mr. Kennedy a coward and promised to prove to him and everyone else that he is the most dominant force in WWE.
Chris Jericho made a local competitor submit to the Walls of Jericho in 0:05:31. Rating: ***
Chris Jericho made short work of this week's local competitor, toying with the poor kid for five minutes before making him tap with a ridiculous Walls of Jericho. After the match, Jericho took the mic and said that he can't wait until WrestleMania to get his hands on Edge. He challenged the Rated R Superstar to a match next week. Jericho smiled a devious smile before exiting the ring.
A video highlight package previewed the competitors in the Raw Deal match, focusing primarily on MVP, Jack Swagger, and Nigel McGuinness and their quests to earn their first world heavyweight title.
Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard and JTG) defeated Zack Ryder and a local competitor when Shad pinned Z. Ryder with the Thugnificent in 0:06:53. Rating: *** 1/2 (Ezekiel Jackson no-showed.)[/i]
This bout was originally scheduled to be Cryme Tyme versus The Entourage, but leading up the the match The Brian Kendrick and Zack Ryder were not able to locate their resident powerhouse anywhere in the building. Eventually, they stumbled upon a relatively scrawny local athlete and Kendrick took great care to dress him up in rock garb, complete with a faux mohawk and leather jacket. The look didn't help him, however, as Zack Ryder took tons of punishment from Cryme Tyme and was pinned shortly thereafter. After the bout, Jackson appeared, unconscious, on the HDTron. As the camera panned back, the audience could see that Jackson was laying prone in the back of a hearse! The door inexplicably closed and the hearse began to drive away! Kendrick and Ryder started flipping out in the ring afterward, certain that The Undertaker had absconded with their bodyguard!
Backstage, Edge was interviewed about Chris Jericho's challenge for a match next week. The Rated R Superstar said that he has waited for months to get ahold of his former stablemate, and he doesn't need to wait any longer. He accepted the challenge for next week and told Jericho to try and save something for WrestleMania... if he has anything left.
No Disqualification Match: The Fortunate Sons (Joe Hennig and Ray Gordy) defeated The Invasion (Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov) when J. Hennig defeated Santino by countout in 0:14:21. Rating: * 1/2 (The Invasion retained the World Tag Team Titles.)[/i]
Mr. Kennedy made this match last week, hoping to have a clear finish to the title match after an intentional DQ ending two weeks ago. Unfortunately, the ending once again was marred in controversy as Marella and Kozlov, with their titles in jeopardy against a very focused and determined Hennig and Gordy, simply walked away with their belts for the count-out loss. After the match, Mr. Kennedy appeared on the HDTron and announced that The Invasion wouldn't be getting off that easy. At WrestleMania, Santino and Kozlov will once again put the gold on the line against The Fortunate Sons! And this time if they are counted out or disqualified, they will lose the championships!
Backstage, Triple H was interviewed about the Raw Deal match. Hunter promised to come out of WrestleMania as the top contender to the World title. But beyond that, he said he would finally get his hands on Gregory Shane Helms in the ring. And when he sees GSH, he won't focus on anything else until he's eliminated the Wrestling Messiah.
The Undertaker pinned Gregory Shane Helms with the Tombstone in 0:19:30. Rating: *** 1/2
A fantastic main event tonight, as The Undertaker returned to the ring against "The Wrestling Messiah" Gregory Shane Helms. Several years ago, many would have pictured this as nothing more than a squash. But Helms's mean streak and ever-expanding skill set made this quite the match-up. However, the Dead Man planted GSH with a Tombstone and was able to pick up the surprisingly hard-fought victory. After the match, The Brian Kendrick and Zack Ryder came back out and attacked The Undertaker. Kendrick nailed him with his United States championship, got in his face and challenged him to a 2-on-1 handicap match next week! Just two weeks before WrestleMania, who will gain an important advantage before these men go to Hell?

I like how the Cena/Punk feud is going. I want to predict what'll happen next week against the tag-champs, but I won't state the obvious Interesting about the "local competitor" part. Do you have a separate "local competitor" export? ;D

Do you have a separate "local competitor" export? ;D Yeeeah, but I'm a fan of "makes sense" booking. For example, LOVE the WrestleMania booking this year. It's predictable, but it makes sense. No swerves, no shocks, just good storylines and payoffs. I have a generic jobber export. I essentially copied Colin Delaney and lowered his stats just a bit.

WWE Monday Night Raw (March 15, 2010)
Sheamus defeated Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio when Sheamus pinned C. Rhodes after a bicycle kick in 0:12:44. Rating: *** 3/4 [Jack Swagger interfered against Cody Rhodes.][/i]
After last week's one-on-one match between Rhodes and Mysterio ended in a no-contest due to Sheamus's interference, Mr. Kennedy ordered this match to kick off Raw tonight. Jack Swagger made his presence known mid-match, as he sauntered to the ring and distracted his former partner Cody Rhodes, allowing Sheamus to level the "Silver Son" with a bicycle kick to pick up the pinfall and remain undefeated. Later in the evening, Sheamus once again confronted Raw GM Mr. Kennedy, demanding that he replace someone in the Raw Deal match. Kennedy outright refused, and Sheamus told him that there would be consequences.
A video package previewed the Raw Deal bout at WrestleMania played, highlighting the eight superstars who will do battle for a shot at the World Heavyweight championship. The video played up the feuds between Triple H and Gregory Shane Helms as well as Jack Swagger and Cody Rhodes.
Ray Gordy pinned Nigel McGuinness after a small package in 0:10:12. Rating: ***
During this non-title match, McGuinness cut an insert promo reminding everyone that this past week he passed Eddie Guerrero for fifth longest reigning European champion of all time. And at WrestleMania, he said he would defeat seven other superstars to earn a world title opportunity. He promised to unify the World and European championships to make sure everyone knows that the rest of the world is better than the United States. Meanwhile, The Fortunate Sons know the opportunity that awaits them at WrestleMania and must be happy with the result of this bout between Ray Gordy and the European champ. The Invasion? Not so much. Gordy surprised McGuinness with a small package to pick up the victory. He raced away from the ring afterward, knowing the hot-headed Nigel would likely try to extract immediate revenge. Joe Hennig came to the ring to celebrate with his teammate, as they motioned that they were coming after the tag team championships.
Backstage, Gregory Shane Helms was interviewed about last week's match against The Undertaker. Helms said that even in defeat, the Wrestling Messiah can't be held down. Because at WrestleMania, he's going to mow through seven other Raw competitors and claim himself a World championship opportunity. He started to warn Triple H, but The Game interrupted and started brawling with GSH! It took a slew of security to get these two apart, but finally order was restored as we returned to the ring.
Handicap-Match: The Undertaker defeated The Brian Kendrick and Zack Ryder when Undertaker defeated B. Kendrick by countout in 0:08:10. Rating: ** 1/2
Much of this bout was spent between Ryder and The Undertaker, with Taker dishing out the majority of the punishment and the US champion only tagging in when his rival was incapacitated. During the match, Taker hit a chokeslam on Ryder. But instead of going for the pinfall, a gong played over the arena speakers. The lights went dark and when they came back up, Ryder was nowhere to be found! Taker dragged Kendrick into the ring and wailed on the Freak-out Phenom for a moment before Kendrick took an instant and bailed from the ringside area. With Ezekiel Jackson and now Zack Ryder out of the way, it looks like one way or the other we're getting our much-anticipated one-on-one encounter in Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania!
Edge defeated Chris Jericho by disqualification in 0:03:35. Rating: ** 1/2
The crowd was hot to see this WrestleMania bout two weeks early. But to be fair, this match never quite got off the ground. Jericho and Edge went nose to nose for a bit, arguing back and forth before a shoving match ensued. Jericho slapped Edge, which started a chase around the ring. Once Jericho got back into the ring, he begged off to the corner several times before nailing the Rated R Superstar with a blatant low blow causing the disqualification. Jericho smiled deviously as he started attacking Edge with kicks and a barrage of punches. He locked in the Walls of Jericho and laughed maniacally and wrenching back on the brutal hold. Was this his plot from the start? It took a slew of referees to finally get Jericho to let go of the hold. After this attack, what condition will Edge be in come WrestleMania?
Backstage, MVP was interviewed about his opportunity at WrestleMania in the Raw Deal match. Mr. 305 said that after chasing his United States championship for months, he realized that he's meant for bigger things. The other seven men in Phoenix better be ready for a dog fight, because MVP's a machine and that's all he's built to do. He promised to begin his walk toward destiny at WrestleMania.
The Invasion (Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov) defeated CM Punk and John Cena when V. Kozlov pinned J. Cena with the Iron Curtain in 0:14:08. Rating: ****
It took the entire evening for CM Punk to convince John Cena to trust him, telling him time and again that they were on the same page for their bout tonight against the world tag team champions. It took a single instant for that trust to be betrayed. With Cena in the entirety of the match, Punk waited anxiously on the mat for the tag. But Santino and Kozlov kept in control, battering Cena throughout. Late in the match, as Cena crawled meekly over to the corner, Punk reached out for the tag before promptly dropping to the arena floor and backing slowly away from the ring. Punk wore a devilish grin as Cena realized what was happening. Kozlov reached Cena and beat the world champion mercilessly before finally putting him away with the Iron Curtain. Punk continued walking up the ramp, ignoring the cries of the fans for him to help Cena as Santino locked on the Sicilian Cloverleaf and cranked back as the show came to a close...

Good show. Liking the build to Wrestlemania. It's interesting the way you took WWE compared to what happened in real life.

3 Yeeeah, but I'm a fan of "makes sense" booking. For example, LOVE the WrestleMania booking this year. It's predictable, but it makes sense. No swerves, no shocks, just good storylines and payoffs. And the Cena/Punk thing worked brilliantly, no matter how predictable it would be I also like how you give the impression that there are several backstage segments interspersed throughout the show (like Sheamus confronting Kennedy later in the show, and Punk trying to gain Cena's trust), without creating a new paragraph with a new heading for the smallest thing. I'm looking forward to your Wrestlemania!

WWE Monday Night Raw (March 22, 2010)
CM Punk made Kung Fu Naki submit to the Anaconda Vice in 0:05:52. Rating: ****
The Straight Edge Superstar opened up tonight's show by avenging his loss to Kung Fu Naki three weeks ago, making his opponent tap to the Anaconda Vice in a relatively short match. Afterward, Punk took the mic and told John Cena that last week he showed once again that he is smarter, more clever, and better than the world champion. He knew that Cena wasn't in the house tonight, and he probably wouldn't make it to WrestleMania ready to compete. So tonight, he'll gladly accept the world championship by forfeit. Punk said he'd be back later in the evening to accept his prize, because he's better than Cena and the entire WWE Universe. The fans have turned on Punk completely, and Punk smiled as his plan seems to have come completely together.
Vladimir Kozlov and Ray Gordy battled to a double countout in 0:08:49. Rating: * 1/2
These opponents for the world tag team championship bout at WrestleMania met in singles competition this week, less than a week before their title match. The fight, and it was absolutely a fight between these two, ended in a double countout when both competitors appeared to just have had enough and brawled all the way to the back of the arena. This feud has certainly gotten hot as the Fortunate Sons seem to have had it with The Invasion taking the easy way out to keep their belts. Can Joe Hennig and Santino contain their anger when they face off later tonight?
After replaying the brutal beating Chris Jericho put on Edge last week, the self-proclaimed "Savior" had a backstage interview, saying that the Rated R Superstar was nowhere in the building. Jericho said they had a tag team match scheduled tonight as he would team up with "The All-American American" Jack Swagger against Edge and Cody Rhodes. But he suggested Edge stay at home and lick his wounds. He told Edge to rest up and get ready for WrestleMania, because he's ready to finish Edge off on the grandest stage of them all.
Elimination Match: Kofi Kingston, Triple H and Rey Mysterio beat Montel Vontavious Porter, Nigel McGuinness and Gregory Shane Helms 3 falls to 2: x N. McGuinness beat Kofi via the Jawbreaker Lariat in 0:06:38 x Mysterio beat N. McGuinness via the Springboard Splash in 0:11:09 x Triple H beat Helms via a backbreaker in 0:15:25 x MVP beat Mysterio via the Playmaker in 0:21:16 x Triple H beat MVP via the Pedigree in 0:24:33 Survivors: Triple H Rating: ***
In a preview of this weekend's Raw Deal match, Triple H was the last man standing, pinning MVP with the Pedigree and sending a message to the other seven men in the elimination battle royal to come. His celebration was short-lived as Gregory Shane Helms jumped The Game afterward. Rey Mysterio cae to his aid, which brought Nigel McGuinness back to the ring to battle. Kofi and MVP soon joined them, resulting in an all-out brawl that lasted until the commercial break.
The Undertaker made his way out to the ring to deliver a final eulogy for "The Freak-out Phenom" The Brian Kendrick. Taker said that his rival has tested him mentally like no opponent has since Mick Foley, but he will be vanquished like all the rest. He promised to do everything that Kendrick has done to him at WrestleMania. He's going to hurt Kendrick, make him bleed, pin him, and when it's all said and done... he will bury The Brian Kendrick.
Joe Hennig defeated Santino Marella by disqualification in 0:08:04. Rating: * 1/2 [Vladimir Kozlov interfered against Joe Hennig.][/i]
There seems to be no relenting in this intense battle over the tag team championships, as The Invasion actually seem desperate at this point to retain their titles. Kozlov ran in to cause the disqualification during the bout, hoping to double team Hennig and gain the upper hand heading into this Sunday's pay-per-view. They were able to dish out some damage, but Ray Gordy hit the ring wielding a chair, sending the champs packing before he had to use it. But if the champions are DQed or counted out this Sunday, the Fortunate Sons are going to be more than fortunate; they'll be champions.
Ringside, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler ran down the massive card for this Sunday's WrestleMania XXVI! In between, Sheamus came down to the ring in street clothes and grabbed a mic. The Celtic Warrior said that Mr. Kennedy was making a grave mistake by not including him in this Sunday's Raw Deal bout. He promised to be a force this Sunday one way or another.
Edge and Cody Rhodes defeated Chris Jericho and Jack Swagger when Edge pinned Jericho with the Spear in 0:14:47. Rating: *** 1/2
When this bout started tonight, it started as a handicap match. Edge hadn't shown up as the match began. Cody tried to hold his own, but the powerful combination of Jericho and Swagger was too much to handle. Suddenly, the crowd erupted as Edge made his way to the ring! Edge was able to eventually make the hot tag and cleaned house, pinning Jericho after nailing him with the Spear! Edge has pinned Chris Jericho only one week before WrestleMania!
The show concluded with a backstage promo from CM Punk. Punk said Cena had yet to show up after being embarrassed and battered last week. Punk started railing on Cena, calling him a fake and a fraud. He said that this Sunday, he'd take the world championship by force! But Punk was interrupted when John Cena himself attacked the Straightedge Superstar from behind! Cena and Punk brawled backstage, eventually taking their fight out into the arena! The fans erupted as John Cena battered his WrestleMania opponent, lifting him up for an Attitude Adjustment before Punk raked him in the eyes and scattered from the ring, racing up the ramp. Cena's music played and the two locked eyes as the show came to a close...

Good show, really digging the Punk/Cena feud. If such a feud happens in real life, I will probably try to catch some WWE again For some crazy reason, I'm also looking forward to the Kendrick/Taker match. I haven't really connected with your other feuds and going-ons, but I guess that's what happens when you jump directly into a circuit. I'm sure the rest will grow on me as well I dig McGuinness, so I'm sure it will happen sooner rather than later.

WrestleMania XXVI (March 28, 2010)
Raw Deal Match: Montel Vontavious Porter won an 8-man Battle Royal: x Helms threw out Kofi in 0:10:09 x Helms threw out Mysterio in 0:10:42 x Swagger threw out C. Rhodes in 0:11:06 x Triple H threw out Helms in 0:12:48 x MVP threw out McGuinness after a lariat in 0:14:28 x Triple H threw out Swagger in 0:15:46 x MVP defeated Triple H after the Drive By in 0:18:27 Rating: **** 1/2 [Sheamus interfered against Kofi Kingston.] [Sheamus interfered against Rey Mysterio.] [Sheamus interfered against Cody Rhodes.][/i]
MVP has earned himself a world championship opportunity anytime, anyplace! MVP pinned Triple H last to claim the prize in this brutal battle royal style bout. Sheamus promised to make an impact on WrestleMania, and he certainly did as he attacked Kofi Kingston, Cody Rhodes, and Rey Mysterio almost ten minutes into the match, leading to their subsequent eliminations. One of the big stories from this match was Triple H gaining a measure of revenge on "The Wrestling Messiah" Gregory Shane Helms, tossing him from the ring and eliminating him. But when it came right down to it, the sheer force and brutality of "Mr. 305" MVP was enough to propel him into the spotlight and earn him that championship opportunity.
The Fortunate Sons (Joe Hennig and Ray Gordy) defeated The Invasion (Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov) when J. Hennig pinned Santino with the Perfect Plex in 0:12:11. Rating: * 3/4 (The Fortunate Sons won the World Tag Team Titles.)[/i]
The second generation tag team have done it! The Invasion has been dethroned and we have new World Tag Team champions! Hennig and Gordy pulled off the shocking upset over a furious Santino and Kozlov despite taking a brutal beating from the champions before the bell and early in the match. Hennig was able to catch a surprised Santino with the Perfect Plex and earn the pinfall to win the titles! Later in the evening, Hennig and Gordy celebrated with their championships and promised to take on all challengers and uphold the prestige of the titles.
Chris Jericho pinned Edge with the Codebreaker in 0:18:47. Rating: *** 3/4
For months, Edge has waited to get his hands on Chris Jericho for ousting him from and dismantling Team Elite. After months of sneak attacks and back-talking, these two finally had their much-anticipated one-on-one encounter. Unfortunately for the Rated R Superstar, Jericho was able to come out on top as he countered Edge's Spear attempt with a Codebreaker from nowhere! Jericho celebrated elaborately, taunting a distraught Edge from the ramp. Edge couldn't believe he had come so close to silencing his nemesis only to come up short!
Hell in a Cell: The Undertaker pinned The Brian Kendrick with the Tombstone in 0:19:30. Rating: ****
After months and months of brutal warfare, these two rivals settled their feud inside the confines of Hell in a Cell. Despite giving up size and experience to the Dead Man, The Brian Kendrick had an incredible showing in his WrestleMania debut, taking Taker to the limit. In the end, Kendrick went for The Kendrick and was caught in mid-air by The Undertaker. Taker planted him with a Tombstone and made the pinfall. After the match, a battered Undertaker celebrated his victory as a barely conscious United States champion crawled his way back up the ramp.
CM Punk pinned John Cena with the GTS in 0:26:27. Rating: **** 1/4 (CM Punk won the World Heavyweight Title.)[/i]
In interviews leading up to tonight's main event, John Cena promised to make Punk suffer and ultimately tap out whereas Punk assured Cena that he'd be willing to sell his soul tonight to reclaim the World Heavyweight championship. Ultimately, Punk seems to have done just that. After what had been a classic encounter between two of the top stars on the Raw roster, the referee was accidentally knocked out with a seemingly errant kick from the Staright Edge Superstar. With the referee unconscious, Punk wasted no time in low blowing the champion. With Cena incapacitated, Punk hurried to the outside and grabbed a steel chair. Punk returned to the ring and battered John Cena with the chair relentlessly! Punk went on nailing Cena with the chair for what seemed like an eternity until the referee awoke. He then lifted his lifeless opponent and hit him with a needless GTS, pinning Cena and winning the World Heavyweight championship for a third time! The fans booed relentlessly, but Punk seemed to smile even more as the fans pelted him with garbage and merchandise. He held the belt up high one final time as the show came to a close...

WWE Monday Night Raw (March 29, 2010)
New World Heavyweight champion CM Punk opened the show to a chorus of boos. He claimed to have outsmarted John Cena last night and beaten him so badly that he wasn't even in the building tonight. He said he sold his soul to win back his title, but it's for the greater good. He needs the championship, because he has a higher purpose. He has a higher calling and that is to spread the message of Straight Edge to the WWE Universe. Because Straight Edge is what makes him better than the rest of the WWE superstars and the WWE Universe. Punk's continued bravado eventually brought out Cena's friends Cryme Tyme! The duo told Punk that the way he'd stolen Cena's title wasn't okay... even by their standards. Punk told them to do something about it, and after a brief rock, paper, scissors bout, Shad challenged CM Punk for the world title tonight! Punk scoffed and accepted the challenge, saying that he is the change the WWE needs and more change is coming.
Nigel McGuinness pinned Delirious with the Jawbreaker Lariat in 0:11:05. Rating: **** (Nigel McGuinness retained the WWE European Title.)[/i]
Before the match, Nigel announced that he was now the second longest reigning European champion, behind only fellow Englishman Davey Boy Smith. He promised to shatter that record and he may well be on his way to doing that, successfully defending the championship once again, this time against the returning Delirious! After the match, The Undertaker's gong tolled. Nigel stopped dead and waited, but nothing else happened. Apparently, the Dead Man hasn't forgotten how Nigel's Invasion helped bury him last November!
Backstage, Sheamus cut a promo explaining why he interrupted the Raw Deal bout last night. He swore he'd make an impact and make Mr. Kennedy regret not putting him in the match, and he did. This led to Kennedy interrupting, telling him he had no place in that match and that he's fed up with the Celtic Warrior's actions. But if he wants to compete and show everyone how big and bad he is, Kennedy said he'd wrestle next week against one of the men he cost a championship match: Kofi Kingston.
The Invasion (Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov) defeated a local competitor and Kung Fu Naki when V. Kozlov pinned competitor with the Iron Curtain in 0:04:08. Rating: ***
During the match, the former tag team champions cut an insert promo saying that last night's loss to the Fortunate Sons was a fluke and they would cash in their rematch clause when they were ready. But they challenged Hennig and Gordy to find a partner and meet them and Nigel in a six-man tag match next week.
Backstage, Gregory Shane Helms cut a promo, saying he's through playing with Triple H, challenging The Game to a one-on-one encounter next week. He said he'd run Hunter out of the WWE one way or another.
Next, the new world tag team champions the Fortunate Sons cut a promo backstage. The duo said they had worked and trained hard and knew their fathers were proud of their accomplishment. They told Santino and Kozlov that they'll give them their rematch anytime, anyplace. As for next week, they said they already have a partner in mind and they accept!
Before the next match, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler recapped The Undertaker's Hell in a Cell victory over The Brian Kendrick. The announcers informed the audience that Kendrick had been suspended for undisclosed reasons after the show and would be stripped of his championship, forcing Mr. Kennedy to book a fatal fourway for the now vacant US title at Backlash! The first qualifying match would be next!
United States Title Qualifying Match: Rey Mysterio pinned Zack Ryder with the Springboard Splash in 0:08:40. Rating: *** 1/2
Seemingly jumping in the grave of his protege, Zack Ryder looked to skyrocket into title contention against the master of the 619 tonight but only tasted defeat as he lost to Rey Mysterio in a hotly-contested bout. The former champion now moves on to Backlash to await his three opponents. One of them will be determined on the premiere of WWE Superstars this week as Cody Rhodes battles former tag team partner Jack Swagger!
Chris Jericho made Jamie Noble submit to the Walls of Jericho in 0:12:21. Rating: *** 3/4
The Savior looked to make short work of Jamie Noble tonight, but the Redneck Messiah looked hungry for a victory during this battle. He gave all he could, but Chris was able to lock in the Walls of Jericho and put away his opponent. Immediately afterward, Edge rushed the ring and started attacking Jericho! The Savior bailed, and Edge grabbed the mic saying that he may have lost last night at WrestleMania, but this is far from over! He's going to have the last laugh against his former stablemate if it's the last thing he does in WWE!
Backstage, MVP cut a promo congratulating himself on winning the Raw Deal last night. He reminded everyone that he has a world championship match he can take anywhere, anytime. Promising to take his time and pick his spot, he said he doesn't even have to wrestle if he doesn't want to. He has a championship match, guaranteed. And he's going to be world champion when he's damn well ready to be.
Backstage, Triple H cut a promo accepting GSH's challenge for a bout next week. He said it's been a long time coming, but he's finally going to get his hands on the thorn in his side one-on-one. And with nowhere to run and nowhere to hide, Triple H is going to make Helms regret his own birth.
CM Punk pinned Shad Gaspard with the GTS in 0:10:19. Rating: *** (CM Punk retained the World Heavyweight Title.)[/i]
The wily CM Punk withstood the brute strength of Cryme Tyme's Shad Gaspard to retain his newly won World Heavyweight championship in a very good match. After the bell, Punk locked Shad in the Anaconda Vice and refused to let go. Suddenly, John Cena's music played and the crowd erupted as the former world champion rushed the ring and unloaded on Punk with a flurry of punches and clotheslines before knocking him out of the ring. Punk scrambled up the ramp in shock. Looks like John Cena's not going anywhere and Punk's has awaken an angry giant...

Enjoyed Wrestlemania a lot. Hell in a Cell was good, though I'm curious as to what the legit reason is that Kendrick has been suspended. Failed a drug test maybe?
Was surprised to see Punk beat Cena. Not that I didn't think it was well done, but it broke the normal Wrestlemania template that the face wins the main event to send everyone home happy.
Will be interesting as well to see when MVP makes the call to cash in.
