Overall I'd say that I wish I would have done a lot more changing of pushes. 90% of my wrestlers have probably never seen a change. The most drastic change I've had by far is Zandar, who was one of my pure jobbers when I started (push of 2.) Then I had him become sort of like a 'pledge' for the Dreadnoks which resulted in a slight push up to around 10, and then he started teaming with Zartan and I gave him another pretty hard push, and now I have him in the 20's. Still fairly mediocre but certainly not a jobber and maybe even a fringe contender in the cruisers.
I like the idea of a push coming off of an upset. I know there are others I've given slight pushes to after an upset (5 points or so for Budo and Mercer come to mind.) And I also know that I've used a 'temporary' push change if there's a match I particularly think should see one winner or the other. Also, as a standard rule to keep from there being a ton of title changes, I give a +5 rating to the champion in any title defenses. This way if a guy gets an upset win to win the title, he's still got a reasonable chance to hang on to it for a bit.
Sounds like a good system, as long as it works for you.
The problem that I can see myself running into is that, there are top guys in my fed with a push rate of 100. Obviously, the only the way that changes is if they lose, but I also see them keeping titles for a lengthy amount of time. I'm fine with that because it forces me to build up more people along the way and create more challengers down the line.
I hope to get around to posting more, as writing as become a mere afterthought in the last couple weeks. As I said, when I get a chance to sit down and spend time reading, I certainly will.
