It's a real shame... definitely two severely misused talents.

I'm not surprised that they let Maria go. Actually I saw it coming.
The reason I knew it would happen are in actually two.
1. She won't be on TV when Celebrity Apprentice is showing on air. 2. She has been stating in an interview that she's been looking into other areas of interest like for example her singing career.

The Hurricane ship sailed awhile ago, unfortunately. Good talent, but that neck injury really did him in. Plus an arrest and a past Wellness violation made him a cut I was sure they would have made awhile ago.
Burchill I thought was under utilized though. I wish Vince knew what Pirates of the Caribbean was, because Pirate Paul ruled.

we can now officially add Charlie Haas to the list ...
I loved his bit where he impersonated his opponents ... heard he wants to reunite with Kurt Angle in some way ... guess he is going to be TNA bound as well ...

Granted Helms was never going to be main-event status, but I enjoyed watchig him perform (not so much as 'The Hurricane', however).
Be that as it may, I find it somewhat ironic that Helms and Haas could have (and have) made it big amongst the mid-card status and it's a shame none of them were viewed as serious contenders for either the IC or US Title.
Yet they give The Big Slow the tag-team title.

Mid Card Monsters will always get a run at the lesser titles at some point.
Haas and Helms, I hate to say it, were just more faces in the crowd. They were good on mic, excellent in the ring, and had great looks. Then again, so do about 50% of the Raw/SD/NXT roster :-P
In Show's case, though, he is usually good for one or two genuinely good matches per year, and for someone his size, that's damn impressive. Actually, his size in general is damn impressive, which is why he gets involved in said one or two good matches in the first place ;->
(I still wanna still that aborted Kane v Big Show Wrestling match from a couple of years back)
