I'm cleaning up the moves in my database and wondering about some of the counters.
1. Should a punch ever be a general counter, or should it only be used as a Brawler style-specific counter?
2. Should a go-behind (aka standing switch) be a general counter, or only a Wrestler style-specific counter?
3. Should a backward kick be generic counter, or only a style-specific counter? (Brawlers, Heels, and Martial Artists?)
4. Should an inside cradle and/or small package be a general counter?
5. Should Shooters style-specific counters include strikes, or only takedowns and submissions?

When I think of a go-behind or standing switch, I think more of its use in Greco-roman wrestling or MMA... so I wouldn't likely make it Brawler-specific.

My feelings:
1. Probably yes -- maaaaaaybe you wouldn't want to let, say, a straight Martial Artist use a punch, but for someone like that you should be turning off the default counters anyway 2. Yes -- I can see any of the styles using it, really 3. Limiting it sounds reasonable, although I might add Powerhouse and Old Style to that list. 4. No -- should probably be only Wrestler/Technician/Old Style 5. Can't answer that, as my knowledge of shoot-style is limited
