Useful for fresh installs, but upgrade not needed for current users. TNM7.com got a facelift too.

Before the new build came out, I always had to hit a certain key a number of times, i believe it might have been shift f12 at the same time (but don't quote me on that) it increased the cycle count (whatever that meant) but it made TNM run faster

Question...I have been using this for awhile.
Suddenly when I hit the tnm7se.exe, it looks like its going to come up and then bam it closes. Any ideas?

Does anyone's laptop fan go crazy when running DOS Box? Wondering if it's a setting I'm missing or if it's par for the course.

Yes, that is because I instruct DOSBOX in the DOSBOX config file to use as many CPU cycles as are necessary to emulate TNM as closely to fullspeed as possible. This was done because many users were complaining about the slow performance when DOSBOX was running in default mode.
You can change this behavior by opening the "dosbos-0.74.conf.txt" file in an editor.
Go to the "[cpu]" section and change
cycles=max
to
cycles=auto
Save, exit and open TNM to see the difference.
