Well, let's try this again without the shitty Fire Promoter mode...this time I'm using my own promotion management mod in Fire Pro World which is essentially AWE integrated with Fire Pro. I'm using contracts and debut and retirement dates. They are NOT meant to be completely historically accurate, but should approximate realistic debut and retirement dates based on wrestler age. I'll start with a rundown of the promotion before I start posting results...
Four Corners Championship Wrestling was a promotion based out of New Mexico founded in 1965 that runs shows in New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and Utah. Most big shows take place at the Sportplex in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and will be the ones I'm reporting on. If you've ever read any of the promotion history books from Crowbar Press or Mark James you'll have an idea of what I'm trying to do here. This is supposed to be more of a "look back" at a fictional historic promotion than some active and ongoing thing. I'll sort of outline major events and angles and give results. If anything interesting happened around the time of the card I'll mention that too.
Starting in 1967 FCCW will become part of a consortium of wrestling promotions known as the North American Wrestling Consortium and will occasionally get to host the NAWC World Champion from that point forward. Currently, in May of 1965, when the promotion hosts it's first show, the NAWC World's Champion is Lou Thesz.
FCCW's Opening Day Roster: Freddie Blassie Bill Watts Nelson Royal John Tolos Chris Tolos Bill Dundee Stan Stasiak Blackjack Lanza Blackjack Mulligan Dick Murdoch Buddy Fuller Ron Fuller

Rating: 89 Match Notes: The young Fuller scores a hard fought victory over Nelson Royal with his Fuller Leg Lock. FCCW Southwest Tag Team Titles Match: The Tolos Bros. vs. The BlackjacksThe Tolos Bros. and The Blackjacks wrestled to a draw: The Tolos Bros. battled The Blackjacks to a double countout. Rating: 100 Match Notes: The Tolos Bros. and The Blackjacks gave it 100% tonight, but neither team could meet the referee's count. A rematch has been scheduled for next month, right here at The Sportplex. Bill Dundee vs. Dick MurdochDick Murdoch defeated Bill Dundee: Dick Murdoch beat Bill Dundee in 7 Min 10 Sec with a Swing Neckbreaker Drop. Rating: 77 Match Notes: Dick Murdoch was able to out brawl Bill Dundee tonight. This match could have gone either way at several points, but Murdoch ends up victorious. FCCW Outlaw Title Match: Buddy Fuller vs. Freddie BlassieFreddie Blassie defeated Buddy Fuller: Freddie Blassie beat Buddy Fuller in 6 Min 12 Sec with a Neckbreaker Drop. Rating: 70 Match Notes: Blassie and Fuller put on a good fight, with Blassie picking up the Outlaw Title after hitting Buddy Fuller with his patented Neckbreaker. Bill Watts vs. Stan StasiakStan Stasiak defeated Bill Watts: Stan Stasiak beat Bill Watts in 10 Min 21 Sec with a Pinfall. Rating: 100 Match Notes: The young and temperamental Watts really took it to Stasiak, but a sudden and quick roll-up while Watts was arguing with the ref about a slow count, was the only upper-hand Stasiak needed. Needless to say, Watts is livid.

Somewhere between May 1st and June 5th both Mark Lewin and Paul Vachon were brought aboard. FCCW's June 1965 Roster: Freddie Blassie Bill Watts Nelson Royal Bill Dundee Stan Stasiak Dick Murdoch Mark Lewin Paul Vachon Buddy Fuller Ron Fuller Tag Teams: The Tolos Brothers: John Tolos Chris Tolos The Blackjacks: Blackjack Lanza Blackjack Mulligan FCCW @ The Sportplex - 06/05/1965The Albuquerque Sportplex - 6/5/1965 Card Rating: 91% Total Card Time: 0 hrs. 51 mins. 54 secs. Ron Fuller vs. Bill DundeeBill Dundee defeated Ron Fuller: Bill Dundee beat Ron Fuller in 9 Min 13 Sec with a Kitchen Sink. Rating: 91 Match Notes: Fuller wanted to keep this match technical, but Dundee turned it into am opening match brawl. Fuller did manage to fight his way back, but got caught with a huge knee to the gut and a quick pin for Fuller's first ever loss. The Maniac & The Butcher vs. Dick Murdoch & Nelson RoyalThe Maniac & The Butcher defeated Dick Murdoch & Nelson Royal: Mark Lewin beat Dick Murdoch in 14 Min 5 Sec with a Sleeper Hold. Rating: 95 Match Notes: This match saw the debut of "The Maniac" Mark Lewin and "The Butcher" Paul Vachon as a tag team. Here they faced off against Dick Murdoch and Nelson Royal in a match that featured just about everything you'd want in a wrestling match. Lewin, Vachon, and Murdoch all know how to brawl with the best of them, all four men are excellent wrestlers on top of that. After the match Lewin and Vachon continued to beat down Murdoch and Royal. FCCW Southwest Tag Team Titles Match: The Tolos Bros. vs. The BlackjacksThe Blackjacks defeated The Tolos Bros.: Blackjack Lanza beat John Tolos in 9 Min 42 Sec with a Back Hook-Leg Pinfall. Rating: 83 Match Notes: After the draw last week, Mulligan and Lanza become the first ever FCCW Southwest Tag Team Champions by defeating the Tolos Brothers. This was always a wild brawl, but once both teams seemed to be sure the referee wasn't going to call the match, it turned into a no-tags necessary, every man in the ring, brawl. Everyone left this fairly short match bloody. Buddy Fuller vs. Stan StasiakStan Stasiak defeated Buddy Fuller: Stan Stasiak beat Buddy Fuller in 10 Min 25 Sec with a Knuckle Pat. Rating: 95 Match Notes: Buddy Fuller claimed that Stasiak had to have had something in his hand when Stasiak put his lights out with a shot to the head, but since the referee had no proof, and Stasiak denied the allegations completely, the decision stands, and Stasiak has two straight wins. FCCW Outlaw Title Match: Bill Watts vs. Freddie BlassieFreddie Blassie defeated Bill Watts: Freddie Blassie beat Bill Watts in 8 Min 29 Sec with a Stomach Claw. Rating: 95 Match Notes: Bill Watts loses his second straight match tonight, this time to Freddie Blassie. Blassie pretty clearly nailed Watts with something while the referee was dealing with an unruly fan and then applied the claw hold to Watts to make it seem like Watts had passed out because of the pain, but, of course, Blassie claims that Watts just couldn't withstand the awesome power of his stomach claw hold. Blassie walks out with the FCCW Outlaw Championship, and Watts leaves, groggy, and once again, livid.

On June 25th 1965 The Destroyer (Dick Beyer) defeated Lou Thesz in a match for the NAWC World's Heavyweight Title. FCCW isn't a member of the NAWC at this point, but since the NAWC World's Heavyweight Title is the premier championship in wrestling, it's worth noting when it changes hands. FCCW's June 1965 Roster: Freddie Blassie Bill Watts Nelson Royal Bill Dundee Stan Stasiak Dick Murdoch Tag Teams: The Tolos Brothers: John Tolos Chris Tolos The Blackjacks: Blackjack Lanza Blackjack Mulligan The Maniac & The Butcher: Mark Lewin Paul Vachon Fuller & Son: Buddy Fuller Ron Fuller FCCW @ The Sportplex - 07/03/1965The Albuquerque Sportplex - 7/3/1965 Card Rating: 89% Total Card Time: 0 hrs. 46 mins. 43 secs. Nelson Royal vs. Bill WattsBill Watts defeated Nelson Royal: Bill Watts beat Nelson Royal in 8 Min 50 Sec with a Short Elbow. Rating: 89 Match Notes: Bill Watts, who has lost for the last two weeks, absolutely murders poor Nelson Royal here. Winning with some of the hardest hitting elbow shots in the history of wrestling. FCCW Southwest Tag Team Titles Match: The Maniac & The Butcher vs. The BlackjacksThe Blackjacks defeated The Maniac & The Butcher: Blackjack Mulligan beat Mark Lewin in 12 Min 43 Sec with a RING OUT. Rating: 87 Match Notes: The Maniac & The Butcher get a title shot in their second match, and just can't get the job done...however, neither can The Blackjacks, as the only way they got out of this one alive, much less still champs, was Mark Lewin getting counted out during a crazy brawl with the non-legal Lanza. The Tolos Bros. vs. Fuller & SonThe Tolos Bros. defeated Fuller & Son: Chris Tolos beat Buddy Fuller in 9 Min 21 Sec with an Atomic Drop. Rating: 89 Match Notes: Father and Son, Buddy and Ron Fuller, team up here to face brothers Chris and John Tolos. This family feud doesn't go well for the Fullers, as Chis Tolos was able to score a pin over Buddy Fuller. FCCW Outlaw Title Match: Bill Dundee vs. Freddie BlassieFreddie Blassie defeated Bill Dundee: Freddie Blassie beat Bill Dundee in 7 Min 23 Sec with a Hooked-Leg Pinfall. Rating: 80 Match Notes: Dundee, coming off a big win over young upstart Ron Fuller, gets an Outlaw Title shot here. Blassie really underestimated Dundee here and came close to losing the belt on several occassions, but just like at the previous two cards, Blassie's opponent claims Blassie hit him with a foriegn object but of course can't prove it. Blassie also nailed Dundee with his patented Neckbreaker before covering him, just to hide the fact that an object may have been used. FCCW Southwest Title Match: Dick Murdoch vs. Stan StasiakStan Stasiak defeated Dick Murdoch: Stan Stasiak beat Dick Murdoch in 8 Min 26 Sec with a Pinfall. Rating: 100 Match Notes: Here on FCCW's 3rd card we get the first FCCW Southwest Title match. Stasiak has a perfect record here and has been putting on amazing matches. Murdoch did lose a tag match last week, but was selected by the FCCW Championship Committee to challenge for the title. The resulting match was masterful. Stasiak and Murdoch fought and wrestled each other until Stasiak countered Murdoch's brainbuster by falling on top of Murdoch in a cross body press to win the title.

FCCW @ The Sportplex - 08/07/1965The Albuquerque Sportplex - 8/7/1965 Card Rating: 83% Total Card Time: 0 hrs. 33 mins. 20 secs. The Maniac & The Butcher vs. Fuller & SonThe Maniac & The Butcher defeated Fuller & Son: Mark Lewin beat Buddy Fuller in 2 Min 41 Sec with a K.O.. Rating: 53 Match Notes: Mark Lewin, a chair that Mark Lewin had managed to bring into the ring, and Buddy Fuller started and ended the match, as Lewin knocked Fuller clean out with a nasty looking piledriver on top of the chair in short order.. Nelson Royal vs. Bill DundeeBill Dundee defeated Nelson Royal: Bill Dundee beat Nelson Royal in 12 Min 59 Sec with a Diving Kneedrop. Rating: 100 Match Notes: Dundee and Royal both continue their strings of great matches here, with both men giving it 100% here. Dundee eventually took the upperhand for good and finished Royal with a diving kneedrop. The Tolos Bros. vs. Blackjack Lanza & Bill WattsBlackjack Lanza & Bill Watts defeated The Tolos Bros.: Blackjack Lanza beat John Tolos in 9 Min 26 Sec with a Back Hook-Leg Pinfall. Rating: 86 Match Notes: Bill Watts continues his stampede here, teaming with Blackjack Lanza (working as a replacement for Blackjack Mulligan who was out with a minor injury) to face the Tolos Brothers. Watts spent most of the match punishing both Chris and John, before finally hitting the Oklahoma Stampede on John and tagging Lanza in to execute the pin. FCCW Outlaw Title Match: Dick Murdoch vs. Freddie BlassieDick Murdoch defeated Freddie Blassie: Dick Murdoch beat Freddie Blassie in 8 Min 14 Sec with a Diving Body Press. Rating: 96 Match Notes: Blassie once again attempted to use whatever he's been using to get the upperhand in his matches, but Murdoch was having none of it. Once Murdoch neutralized the threat of a foreign object (which turned out to be a roll of quarters, which Murdoch broke open and tossed into the crowd) Blassie had to actually try to out wrestle Captain Redneck. Blassie whpped Murdoch into the ropes, and appeared to be looked for a sleeper hold, but Murdoch was able to duck it and hit Blassie with a cross body block on the way back to capture the Outlaw Title.

FCCW's September 1965 Roster:Freddie Blassie Bill Watts Nelson Royal Bill Dundee Stan Stasiak (FCCW Southwest Champion) Dick Murdoch (FCCW Outlaw Champion) Rocky Wilbur (Fictional) Tag Teams:The Tolos Brothers: John Tolos Chris Tolos The Blackjacks: (FCCW Southwest Tag Team Champions) Blackjack Lanza Blackjack Mulligan The Maniac & The Butcher: Mark Lewin Paul Vachon Fuller & Son: Buddy Fuller Ron Fuller FCCW @ The Sportplex - 09/04/1965The Albuquerque Sportplex - 9/4/1965 Card Rating: 86% Total Card Time: 0 hrs. 48 mins. 39 secs. The Tolos Brothers vs. Nelson Royal & Rocky WilburThe Tolos Brothers and Nelson Royal & Rocky Wilbur wrestled to a draw: The Tolos Brothers battled Nelson Royal & Rocky Wilbur to a time limit draw. Rating: 100 Match Notes: Chris and John Tolos faced off against Nelson Royal and a man making his FCCW debut, Rocky Wilbur. Wilbur is a young upstart from England.Wilbur showed off his incredible catch-as-catch-can style to the fans, but ultimately neither team could get the job done and the match went to a time limit draw. Ron Fuller vs. Mark LewinMark Lewin defeated Ron Fuller: Mark Lewin beat Ron Fuller in 6 Min 28 Sec with a Sleeper Hold. Rating: 88 Match Notes: Last week they met in a tag team match, and this week Mark Lewin makes quick work of young Ron Fuller, putting him away with a sleeper hold. Blackjack Lanza vs. Freddie BlassieFreddie Blassie defeated Blackjack Lanza: Freddie Blassie beat Blackjack Lanza in 8 Min 20 Sec with a Small Package Hold. Rating: 91 Match Notes: Blackjack Lanza figured he was going to steamroll the much smaller Blassie here, but Blassie had other ideas. Blassie was able to create conflict between Laza and the referee when he basically goaded Lanza into taking several cheap shots in the corner. While the referee was admonishing Lanza, Blassie was able to roll him up and take the win. Bill Dundee vs. Blackjack MulliganBlackjack Mulligan defeated Bill Dundee: Blackjack Mulligan beat Bill Dundee in 6 Min 35 Sec with an Iron Claw Hold. Rating: 77 Match Notes: The other Blackjack, Blackjack Mulligan, had much better luck against Bill Dundee. The two brawled around, but eventually the size, power, and weight difference caught up to Dundee and Mulligan was able to put him away easily with the Claw Hold. FCCW Southwest Title Match: Bill Watts vs. Stan StasiakStan Stasiak defeated Bill Watts: Stan Stasiak beat Bill Watts in 7 Min 16 Sec with a Pinfall. Rating: 77 Match Notes: After two months of steamrolling opponents, Watts gets a shot at Stan Stasiak's Southwest Title. Watts came out swinging and took a quick advantage, but by mid-match Stasiak had turned the tables. Watts took 3 of Stasiak's patented Heart Punches to keep down, but eventually he did stay down.
