I have no idea whether this will be of any interest to the few people who still frequent the TNM scene, but I thought I'd make it available ..
Inspired by the old TNM-MP Rule Sets, I've decided to go back to my tabletop roots to devise a method of running a promotion (including a child / feeder circuit) with certain restrictions in place while honouring TNM's events themselves. Coupled with this, I wanted to compile a list of workers from a specific moment in time that are available to use as you go. For my first play-through I wanted to try running NXT, so I have chosen the present day (September 2019) for the first set of sheets. If this works out I'd very much like to put multiple versions together from across different eras.
Simply set up your starting roster - real or custom - then at the end of each month in your circuit you roll 2xd6 and consult the monthly event chart to see if anything occurs. Maybe a change in your company's size, push changes, or perhaps a new trainee joining your circuit so that you can create your own future stars, especially as they develop over the first year in your promotion. Next, you're offered 3 workers to hire from a pool of over 900, with various factors impacting your chance of hiring them. Do they already work for a large company? Are they considered a bigger name than your circuit could realistically sign? Have they worked in your company before? If you're an Indy you might only get them as touring talent for a month. If you're running a feeder company the chart is a little different. Your champs may get a call up to the main roster. Or talent might be sent down to you. From there you simply rinse and repeat. Hopefully, it will offer a fun framework to use while maintaining the booking freedom that TNM offers.
I'm still smoothing out the rough edges at present, but it's all there. So, if anyone fancies taking a peek at the current pdf, I'd be more than happy to answer any questions, especially as it'll help me create documentation for it.
