Question for the bookers out there, have you ever had to, or ended up, totally rearranging your plans and storylines becuase of a no-show?
I was looking back through my WCW circuit as I'm getting ready to post some new cards (teaser). In January 91 circuit time, I planned to have Barry Windham, then a member of the 4 Horsemen, win the world title from Sting at a Clash of Champions. However, he no-showed. I had to fill in with Ric Flair and gave him another title run. It was supposed to be the start of a face turn for Windham as I was planning a Evolution/Randy Orton style turn. Paul Orndorff would've ended up being the replacement Horseman as Windham ended up joining Sting, Lex Luger and the faces.
Instead, Windham stayed with the Horsemen, his face turn not coming for another 6 months circuit time with no world title win for about another year. Orndorff instead became a Harley Race client to get a push toward being a top heel.
But reading it all over, it's funny how one random no-show completley changed the trajectory of my long term plans.
Any other interesting no-show stories?

Well. I had a main event in my TNA circuit Sting/Hardcore Holly vs. The Angle Alliance (Kurt Angle/Tomko). If Kurt and Tomko got the pin they got the title. Hardcore gets the pin he gets a title shot. The plan was for Hardcore to win and get the shot against Sting at next PPV. Anyways, no shows, so I add Booker T who wrestled early beating Jeff Jarrett. Holly wins and gets the shot. Next iMPACT i have Hernandez win the title (built up as a monster heel since Homicide quit) and was going to win the title in a few PPVs. He will face Holly at next PPV.
I never had a situation where the challenge who was going to win no showed lately. I also had two champions quit immediately (Raven and Samoa Joe) which sucked.
