NAWA Glory August 1st, 2013: Recap of the events of WrestleClash XII, where Mia Stylish won the Race to the Top Ladder Match to win the Golden Ticket and thus earn an NAWA World Title Shot at any time during her choosing in Season Thirteen. Miles Stylish crushed Ricochet to retain the NAWA Television Title. Austin Aries beat Harry Harris after Miles Stylish interfered, thus earning an NAWA World Title Shot and kicking Harry Harris out of the role of Commissioner. But, the main event, featured Kevin Steen beating Prince Devitt to capture the NAWA World Title, and end the Dominion Leader’s dominant title reign. NAWA Glory begins Season Thirteen right now.
Jay Lethal pinned Johnny Gargano in the opening match in some high impact Cruiserweight action with the Lethal Injection in 12:55(*** ¾)
Kevin Steen comes out to the ring, to great cheers, with the NAWA World Title over his shoulder. Steen talks about how last Sunday he finally put down Prince Devitt inside a steel cage. No doubt Devitt will be looking for a return match, and Steen says that he’ll be ready for another match, to prove that win last Sunday was not a fluke. However, Kevin Steen is going to focus on his next challenger, Austin Aries. Steen and Aries have a bit of a history. Back in 2008, Kevin Steen won his first of many championships, the NAWA Television Title, beating Austin Aries. And now the role of champion and challenger will be reversed. Tonight, Kevin Steen was scheduled to put the NAWA World Title on the line against Austin Aries, but Aries suffered some injuries in his match with Harry Harris. Therefore, Steen is going to throw out an open challenge and he’ll put the gold on the line in the main event.
Out walks Robert Roode to a loud chorus of boos. Roode talks about how his NAWA World Title reign was much longer than Prince Devitt’s and if Steen has the guts, he would put the belt on the line. Roode says tonight, he will win his second NAWA World Title and it will be Roode against his good friend Austin Aries for the belt. Steen talks about how Aries must not like how Roode could jump the line, but Roode is a world-class competitor, perhaps better than being the lackey of Austin Aries, and his Napoleon complex. Therefore, Roode gets his title match tonight, and Steen is looking forward to a big first time title match. The match is hyped, Robert Roode against Kevin Steen tonight for the NAWA World Title.
AJ Styles cuts a promo, talking about how last Sunday, he made Kurt Angle tap out. He was the only member of Dominion to win and that means, he should be in line for an NAWA World Title Shot. However, Styles is going to wait for the right moment.
In a huge women’s tag team match, Mia Yim and Candice LaRae defeated Ivelisse Velez and Katarina via disqualification when Ivelisse nailed Candice with a chair, after Candice kept kicking out several high impact moves on the part of Ivelisse in 8:44(** ¾)
The fans are losing their minds as Ivelisse beats down Candice after the match.
Last Sunday, Chris Sabin captured the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion over his former partner Alex Shelley, in the battle of the Former Motor City Machine Guns.
Alex Shelley picked up the win over Rich Swann with a double underhook brain buster in 9:43(***)
Shelley gets on the microphone after this great Cruiserweight Match and says Sabin beat him once, but a broken clock works twice a day. He’s the better Motor City Machine Gun and he’ll prove it once again.
Mia Stylish comes down to the ring, on crutches. Mia talks about how last Sunday she won the Race to the Top Ladder Match, but she injured her right knee in the process. The doctors say she’ll be out of the ring for two to three months, but when she comes back, Mia has the golden ticket and she will be challenging for the NAWA World Title, any time she wants. Mia talks about how she’s looking forward to stepping into the ring with whoever the champion is, and she might make it to the main event of WrestleClash XIII.
Miles Stylish makes his way to the ring, with the NAWA Television Title belt draped over his shoulder. Miles talks about how he had to listen to their mother crying on the phone for two hours on the night of WrestleClash XII, because Mia hurt herself again, trying to step in and fight men again. Miles talks about this happens every time, Mia’s good when she stays in her own lane, in fact she’s the best women’s competitor in the world, because she’s a Stylish. And now, she’s lost three months of her career due to an injury. Miles should have basked in the glory of flattening another pretender in Ricochet and keeping his NAWA Television Title. Miles asks if this is because Mia has an inferiority complex, because no matter what, she’ll always be the sister of Miles Stylish, in the conversation. Mia says that she’s like Miles yes but she has that desire and her drive to be the best. And the NAWA World Title is the top prize in this company. Miles tells Mia to stop, for the sake of their poor mother. Mia says she’s sorry, but Miles, her parents, they have to realize that this is her choice to go into the ring.
Johnny Glory appears on the ramp, doing a golf clap, and comments “Yes, Queen, and all that stuff.” The fact is, he should have won that Race to the Top Match, because Johnny Glory is the man who should be representing this company as the NAWA World Champion. Not some fat oompa loompa, not some freak in demon makeup, and not some midget with a Napoleon complex. Johnny Glory looks like a champion, and he looks like a star. Glory puts over Miles Stylish as a world-class competitor, he has a belt, sure Glory’s is a bit bigger, but his no-talent, charity case of a sister, who scored one fluke win over Austin Aries and thinks she’s Xena, Buffy, and Wonder Woman all rolled into her. Glory talks about how he has more talent in his fingernail, then Mia does in her entire body.
Miles Stylish and Johnny Glory have a back and forth, for a moment, and Miles warns Glory that Glory can say whatever he wants about his sister, but he better keep the name of Miles Stylish out of his mouth. Glory bows back, offering Miles a handshake in respect, but Miles tells Glory that he might be coming for Glory’s belt as well, if Glory’s not careful. Glory turns to Mia and talks about how she now has a little boo-boo on her knee and is out for three months. Well, she should give that Golden Ticket to someone who is more worthy. Then to huge boos, Glory kicks Mia’s crutches out from underneath her and then shoves her down to the mat.
Suddenly, Christopher Daniels rushes down to the ring and a running dropkick sends the NAWA International Champion flying! Johnny Glory bails when Daniels enters the ring. Christopher Daniels and Mia Stylish go back to the days of the Archangels of Anarchy. Christopher Daniels stares down Johnny Glory from the ramp, as Glory holds up the NAWA International title tauntingly. Daniels offers his hand to Mia and helps her up. Two old friends and allies reunite, as Glory sulks on the ramp.
Last Sunday, D’Angelo Dinero and Sedrick Skyhawk unseated the Unbreakable Machines to win the NAWA World Tag Team Titles.
D’Angelo Dinero and Sedrick Skyhawk defeated the All Night Express when Skyhawk pinned Kenny King with the Fallen Star Elbow Drop in 10:44. (***)
We see MVP on the outside, yelling at King and Titus, not happy about them losing another big time match. MVP’s investment in King and Titus is not paying off.
Samoa Joe defeated Chris Adonis via submission to the Rear Naked Choke in 6:55(** ½)
And another loss by one of MVP’s clients. Joe gets the win tonight, but out comes AJ Styles to the ramp. AJ Styles talks about how he made Kurt Angle submit. Well, he has his sights set on an even bigger prize on his road to the NAWA World Title, in Samoa Joe. A former champion and AJ Styles promises to make Joe submit and defeat him utterly. Joe says that AJ Styles has served himself up. Joe’s got his sights set on championship gold once again, and if he needs to play the spoiler to him so be it. They both agree to a match next week.
We see a photo shoot, where the NAWA Women’s champion Kana is posing after her big win last Sunday over Ivelisse. Suddenly, the former multi-time NAWA Women’s Champion Awesome Kong steps into the shot. Kana and Kong stare each other down and begin laughing at each other menacingly in a very unsettling way.
Next week, AJ Styles against Samoa Joe. NAWA Television Champion Miles Stylish has an open contract. And more.
Kevin Steen retained the NAWA World Title over Robert Roode after evading Bully Ray’s interference, hitting Roode with a chain, and hitting the Package Piledriver in 15:55(****)
Steen keeps the gold in a pretty impressive battle with Robert Roode. The champion holds up the title belt and gets nailed from behind by Austin Aries! Austin Aries delivers a rolling elbow smash, and then punches away at Steen, opening up a cut on the side of his head. Aries picks up the NAWA World Title Belt, and says that he’s sick of everyone disrespecting him, and thinking that he’s not worthy of this(pointing to the NAWA World Title Belt). Aries winds up and obliterates Steen with a well-placed shot with the title belt. Aries keeps beating on the wound on Steen’s head, leaving him with the prominent crimson mask, until security is forced to pry Aries off. Even Roode and Bully Ray look a bit shocked, before they applaud the assault on the champion.

NAWA Glory August 8th, 2013: Tonight, AJ Styles meets Samoa Joe in our feature bout. Miles Stylish defends the NAWA Television Title in an open challenge match and more.
We head backstage, where Ricochet is watching the closing minutes of his match with Miles Stylish and how Stylish obliterated him. MVP comes out and talks about how Ricochet has all of the tools, but he doesn’t have the focus. MVP says that he’s been looking for a world-class client who just needs something else and Ricochet could be that man. Ricochet would have been the NAWA World Champion and beat Prince Devitt if MVP was in his corner and he would have been Miles Stylish. Willie Mack enters the room and there’s a bit of a confrontation between him and MVP. Mack tells Ricochet he doesn’t need this clown to be a champion. Tonight, they step into the ring against the Young Bucks. Ricochet is fired up and vows to get back into the winning circle.
The Young Bucks defeated Willie Mack and Ricochet when Nick Jackson pinned Ricochet with the 450 Splash in 11:55 after Mack accidentally hit Ricochet with a spear. (***)
There’s a little friction between Ricochet and Mack after the match. MVP comes out and tells Ricochet that the offer still stands. Mack goes to the ramp and goes after MVP, but gets nailed in the side of the head by Chris Adonis. The two of them brawl, and Ricochet dives over the top rope. Springboard cross body block takes out both Adonis and also Mack inadvertently in the process. Ricochet bounces to his feet and MVP yells that’s what it’s all about.
Christopher Daniels stands by for a few words about Johnny Glory, Miles Stylish, and Mia Stylish. Daniels says that Mia’s always been in the shadow of her older brother, and he casts an amazing shot. Mia joined the Archangels of Anarcy as Desdomia and stood on her own for a short time, without the Stylish name. She’s earned everything, and Daniels says that he’s impressed by what she’s done. What he’s not impressed with is Johnny Glory’s ego. Christopher Daniels has been here from the very beginning and he’s seen a lot of men come and go out of this company. It’s been a long time since Daniels has had championship gold and he’s got his sights set on the NAWA International Title held by Johnny Glory.
Awesome Kong crushes Jessie McKay with the Awesome Bomb in 2:44(**)
After the match, Kana comes down for her match and once again, Kong and Kana have a staredown. And they try to psyche each other out. Kong steps to the side and Kana backs up the ramp, keeping her eyes locked on Kana.
Kana destroys Serena Deeb with a series of roundhouse kicks and a Cross Armbreaker in 5:04(** ¾)
After the match, the NAWA Women’s Champion Kana walks back down the ramp and once again goes nose to nose with Awesome Kong. This will be a battle when these two women collide, and Kong being a former NAWA Women’s Champion has returned with her sights set on the gold.
We see a recap of Austin Aries laying out Kevin Steen at the end of Glory and busting him open with the NAWA World Title Belt.
Austin Aries cuts a promo, talking about how everyone brushed him off as an NAWA World Championship threat. He’s almost insulted because the pundits are talking about how Aries is an easy first title defense for Kevin Steen. Aries showed Steen last week what he’s capable of. Aries will be cashing in on his championship opportunity at Last Chance at Redemption on September 8th, 2013. The Greatest Man That Ever Lived will finally ascend to his rightful place as the NAWA World Champion. Aries will be laughing when he stands over all of his detractors as the brand new NAWA World Champion. Ever since he lost that match with Mia Stylish, with Mia’s fluke victory back at StarClash 12, they all doubted him. But Aries has beaten Harry Harris, and now Kevin Steen is next on his list of people he will defeat.
Homicide comes out to accept the open challenge of Miles Stylish. As a former NAWA Cruiserweight and Tag Team Champion, Homicide has some credentials who will give the champion a hard time.
Miles Stylish pinned Homicide with the Las Vegas Trauma in 7:59 to retain the NAWA Television Title. (** ¾)
Another successful title defense in the books. Miles Stylish is racking up a huge winnings treak as the NAWA World Champion.
We see Mike Bennett backstage, talking trash about Jay Lethal, the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion Chris Sabin, and also about Willie Mack and Ricochet. MVP is backstage and Bennett tells MVP that he shouldn’t be going for a sawed off like runt like Ricochet as his new hot client, he should be going with a superstar like the Prodigy. MVP tells Bennett to win his match tonight and they’ll talk.
Chris Sabin and Jay Lethal defeated Mike Bennett and Alex Shelley when Jay Lethal pinned Mike Bennett with the Lethal Injection after Shelley got frustrated with Bennett and took an early walk in 10:49(***)
In the back, Mike Bennett rants and raves about what just happened. He walks up to Chris Adonis and MVP, and MVP says maybe they have something. A trial next week, with Bennett and Adonis as a tag team against the duo of Ricochet and Willie Mack. Bennett spats he’s sick of hearing about Ricochet, after he got flattened by Miles Stylish like the little cockroach he is. He’s going to show MVP that Ricochet might need MVP but MVP needs Mike Bennett, the future of wrestling.
Next week, Austin Aries, Bully Ray, and Robert Roode take on the NAWA World Champion Kevin Steen and two partners of his choosing. Plus, Mike Bennett and Chris Adonis take on Ricochet and Willie Mack and The NAWA Television Champion Miles Stylish takes on the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion Chris Sabin.
The main event featured AJ Styles and Samoa Joe in the usual impressive match. Joe prepares to finish Styles off, but Michael Elgin and Brian Cage, the Unbreakable Machines rush the ring and attack Joe, beating him down for the disqualification in 15:55(*** ½)
Styles is yelling at Elgin and Cage about the interference, but Cage nails Joe with a huge Discus Clothesline and Elgin hits a huge power bomb. They continue to beat down Joe. Elgin tells Styles that Devitt suggested they take care of business. Styles is not happy with this, but he continues to head onto the beatdown, until D’Angelo Dinero and Sedrick Skyhawk rush down to the ring and help save Joe from a further beating.
Some back and forth between Sedrick Skyhawk and AJ Styles and another six man tag team match is made for next week. Glory fades to black on that note. See you next week.

Bennett tells MVP that he shouldn’t worry about Ricochet either, because tonight, the Prodigy is going to show MVP that it’s Bennett who should be getting an NAWA World Title Shot. Hell if Bennett fought Miles Stylish, things would be different. MVP says to show not tell and Bennett vows to.

Well history is going to repeat itself. Steen calls in his partners, Jay and Mark Briscoe. Steen talks about how he’s been up and down the roads with these men and he knows they’re in for a fight, in for a scrap, and he knows they’ll watch his back to keep the eyes of Bully Ray and Robert Roode off of him.
MVP talks about how there needs to be tough love, to beat some sense into people. He warns Jay Lethal about sticking his nose into business. Next week, MVP will take on Ricochet and demonstrate what he’s been talking about. And as for Mack, well Adonis gets another crack at him.

Shelton Benjamin picked up the win over Jack Evans with the T-Bone Suplex in 5:55(** ½)

The NAWA Television Champion Miles Stylish, and Shelton is ready to take the championship belt from him. Shelton wants a crack at the gold at Last Chance at Redemption. Shelton has thrown down the challenge.
The Briscoe Brothers are talking backstage, but Robert Roode and Bully Ray come out to them. Roode says that the Briscoes couldn’t beat Beer Money, when Roode had to carry James Storm on his back, and Bully Ray says they couldn’t beat Team 3D either. And now with the best halves of Beer Money and Team 3D as a tag team, no one can stop him. Jay tells Bully to step off, because the Briscoes are back and they have their sights set on the NAWA Tag Team Titles. Mark adds that they aren’t scared by Austin Aries’s lapdogs. We have a bit of a shoving match, before security comes in to break up things.
The Young Bucks defeated the Briscoe Brothers when Nick Jackson pinned Mark Briscoe after some interference from Brother Ray and Robert Roode in 11:55(*** ¾)

Christopher Daniels showcases a video of some of his most violent moments in this company. The Fallen Angel has been here in this company since Day One, and now he’s going for another championship, in the NAWA International Title. Johnny Glory is standing in his way. Daniels promises that Glory won’t be able to show his face in Hollywood. We see a video clip of Christopher Daniels using a spike on Steve Corino to win the NAWA International Title ten years ago to show the type of brutality that Daniels is willing to perform to win championship gold.
Willie Mack comes out, favoring his neck and calls Chris Adonis out for their match. MVP and Chris Adonis come out, ready for this match.
Chris Adonis made Willie Mack pass out to the Full Nelson after Mike Bennett caught him with a neckbreaker on the floor in 9:55(** ½)
Ricochet and Jay Lethal are too injured from earlier to save Mack. MVP says if Mack wants to keep interfering in his business with recruiting Ricochet, then how about MVP, Mike Bennett, and Chris Adonis against Ricochet, Jay Lethal, and Willie Mack at Last Chance at Redemption. MVP slams his boot into the face of Mack with a Yakuza Kick while Bennett and Adonis hold him up in the corner.
Austin Aries and Kevin Steen have a face to face interview, on a split screen. Aries talks about how Steen wouldn’t have even won the Gold Rush Tournament, if Aries hadn’t been knocked out of the Gold Rush Tournament in the first round due to Harry Harris conspiring against him. Steen says that he was the second man ever to pin Prince Devitt. Aries hasn’t done that, Aries wouldn’t have done it, and Aries argues that he could have, he would have beaten Devitt. But it’s not about that, it’s about the NAWA World Title which belongs to Austin Aries. Steen talks about how Aries should hand the title shot over to Miles Stylish, because Stylish gift wrapped that title shot to him by attacking Harry Harris. Aries says he could have beaten Harris if that was a straight up wrestling match. Harris was a savage animal, beating him. Steen further needles Aries, suggesting that he’s afraid of losing to Mia Stylish, and in their only straight up match, Mia beat him. Aries yells the record is 2-1, he beat Mia twice, he doesn’t owe her anything. And Steen reminds Aries that Mia has an NAWA World Title Shot coming. Steen will give her a title match once the doctor’s clear her to compete, straight up, one on one, no problems. He doesn’t have a problem fighting anyone who is worthy of giving him a competitive match. Aries screams that Mia’s not worthy, and neither is Steen. He will beat Steen and get the belt which should have been his six months ago, if Harry Harris didn’t dick him around. Now that Harris is gone, and Steen cuts off Aries with a “thanks to Miles Stylish.” Aries is fuming, and Steen promises to keep the title.
Three huge matches have been added to Last Chance at Redemption. Miles Stylish puts the NAWA Television Title on the line against Shelton Benjamin, MVP, Chris Adonis, and Mike Bennett take on Ricochet, Willie Mack, and Chris Adonis, and The Briscoe Brothers take on Bully Ray and Robert Roode.

The announcer’s wonder if Sabin’s previous win over Shelley was a fluke. Shelley has the Cruiserweight Title back and stands over his fallen opponent. Sabin struggles to stand. Sabin held that belt for less than a month and Shelley now has the belt back. Glory fades to black on this note. See you next week.

Bully Ray and Robert Roode took on the Briscoe Brothers in our opening match. Jay Briscoe and Bully Ray had some trash talk with Jay punching Bully in the mouth. Both trade chops until Jay hurls Bully off into the ropes. Leapfrog over his charging body and a leg lariat brings Bully Ray down. The tag is made to Mark Briscoe and the Briscoe Brothers double team Bully Ray. Smith and Elgin just shrug, and Styles storms off, saying that this is unbelievable.

But that’s over, that’s done, Harris is done, and the greatest man who ever lived will be the greatest champion who ever lived. A self indulgent celebration follows, with Bully Ray and Robert Roode to celebrate, although Roode gives Aries the side eye when Aries says that no man will ever bring such greatness to the NAWA World Title, like Austin Aries. There’s no man...or woman, who can even touch Austin Aries when he holds this gold over his head.
AJ Styles comes down to the ring, and says that it’s funny. The last time he was in the ring with Austin Aries, back in 2011, at WrestleClash X, AJ Styles wrestled circles around him and became the NAWA International Champion. Aries comments that’s the past, this is the present, Aries the champion. He already avenged one big title loss by beating Kevin Steen for the belt, if Styles wants to make it two for two, then Aries will give him a title shot, any time. Styles takes off his jacket and says that he’s not sure if Aries thinks he’s stupid. He’s got his two buddies in the ring, but AJ Styles has friends as well.

Aries runs up the ramp, right into massive form of Brian Cage. Cage backs Aries back into the ring and he scrambles right into a running dropkick from Devitt. Styles once again gets in the face of Devitt and once again, Aries escapes, with Bully Ray and Robert Roode pulling him from the ring and running him up the ramp. All of the members of Dominion are in the ring, but Cage and Devitt are on one side ,while Styles and Elgin are on the other side, and Harry Smith is caught in the middle. Bully Ray, Robert Roode, and Austin Aries talk and prepare for a night of champions conquest. Ray and Roode will add the NAWA World Tag Team Championship to their group and Aries will retain his NAWA World Title against three world competitors and he proves he’s the greatest NAWA World Champion who ever lived. Aries says the celebration will be glorious when all three of them are dripping in championship gold. Roode and Ray leave on their quest to walk out tonight with the NAWA World Tag Team Titles.
The NAWA World Tag Team Titles is on the line, when Bully Ray and Robert Roode challenge the champions Sederick Skyhawk and D’Angelo Dinero. Dinero and Skyhawk clear the ring to much fanfare and send the challengers packing when they try an early attack. After some early double team offence, from Skyhawk and Dinero keeping Bully Ray off balance, the ring is cut in half, with Roode hitting Skyhawk with a knee to the back of the head and Bully Ray coming back with a clothesline. Bully Ray lives up to his name and beats down Skyhawk, until handing him off to Robert Roode. Roode uses some old school heel tactics to take Skyhawk down. A spinebuster gets a close nearfall. Roode trades off for another tag.
Bully Ray slaps Skyhawk in the corner a couple of times and throws him all the way across the ring. Running corner clothesline squashes Skyhawk and Ray hits a the full nelson bomb to drive Skyhawk down. A cover hooking the leg, but Dinero breaks the cover. Roode and Bully Ray take advantage of the distraction, by hitting a backbreaker/second rope knee drop combination move. A nearfall on Skyhawk. Roode is tagged back in and he wears down Skyhawk with a combination of holds, ending in an abdominal stretch. Ray gives Roode some leverage, which baits Dinero into the ring and forces the referee to back Dinero into the corner. More double teaming offence.
Bully Ray and Robert Roode hit a power bomb/springboard reverse bulldog combination move to nearly put down Skyhawk. Skyhawk shows some valor, but Ray punches it out of him. Off into the corner. Running elbow smash is avoided and Skyhawk snaps off the Brush with Greatness on Bully Ray. He’s too out of it and Dinero is beating on the corner, to try and get the fans behind Skyhawk. Tag made to Roode and Roode tries to drag Skyhawk back into the ring. Skyhawk counters with an enzuigiri kick and the tag is made.
D’Angelo Dinero rushes into the ring and unloades the challengers. Skyhawk suffered a beating for the past ten minutes so Dinero might have to do this one on his own. Dinero connects with a running clothesline to Roode and ten count punches. Roode beat Dinero for the NAWA World Title nearly two years ago, so Dinero must want to avenge that by beating Roode tonight. Bully Ray tries to sneak up and Dinero comes out of the corner with a backspring cross body block.
Roode catches Dinero from behind and belly to back suplex is avoided. Dinero slams Roode into the corner. DDE is avoided when Bully Ray hangs onto Roode. Dinero crashes onto the canvas. Roode goes for a clothesline. Dinero ducks and runs right into Bully Ray’s fist! It looks like Bully Ray had a chain on his hand, but the referee didn’t see it. Roode hoists up Dinero and thunderous Death Valley Bomb! Ray pulls Skyhawk off of the ring apron and Roode covers to score the pin. Robert Roode and Bully Ray defeated D’Angelo Dinero and Sederick Skyhawk to win the NAWA World Tag Team Titles in 12:44(***)
Thanks to some questionable use of a chain, Roode and Bully have captured the NAWA World Tag Team Titles. The NAWA World Champion Austin Aries stands on the ramp and applauds the victory of his two partners. This trio is dripping in championship gold after tonight, providing of course, Austin Aries can survive the four way dance later tonight against three world class competitors.

Both men shake hands in respect and really get onto it, pounding each other relentlessly with chops and forearm smashes. Mack adds some athletic flair to the match with a leapfrog and a huge dropkick. Joe catches Mack and hurls him into the corner. These two big bulls ram into each other multiple times until Mack manages to throw Joe across the ring. Mack hits a leaping shoulder block and sends Joe to the ring apron. Mack charges Joe, but Joe catches him with forearms.
Joe gets Mack down to the canvas and we see why Samoa Joe built one of the most impressive undefeated streaks by working Mack over. The STF punishes him, until Mack just barely crawls to the ropes. Joe kicks away at Mack and hits him with a huge Samoan Drop for a two. Joe picks up Mack and grabs the leg. He slams down and applies a half Boston Crab. Mack fights out of the hold and gets to the ropes breaking the hold.

Joe applies the Rear Naked Choke to the Mack. Mack fights out of the move and throws Joe over, but Joe hangs on, like a pitbull like a bone. He clamps down on the hold and Mack frantically elbows out of the hold. Joe finally breaks the hold. Stomps in the corner and Running Yakuza Kick waffles Mack! Mack deadweights Joe on the Muscle Buster, so Joe applies a guillotine choke to Mack! Then he twists into the rear naked. Mack struggles once again, but can’t reach the ropes so he has no choice to tap out. Samoa Joe defeated Willie Mack with the Rear Naked Choke in 12:55(*** ¼)
Joe rises up to his feet and Mack rises again, favoring his neck. He offers Joe the hand and Joe takes it to shake hands. Mack mouths “one more time” and Joe pulls him in and says “bring it.”
The next match is a champion versus champion match between the NAWA Television Champion Miles Stylish and the NAWA International Champion Johnny Glory with both belts on the line. We have a bit of a wrestling match, until Glory uses his parkour skills to avoid Stylish’s grip, much to Stylish’s disgust. Glory catches Stylish with a pivoting elbow strike and then slides underneath a clothesline, before springboarding off of the rope and hitting a back elbow smash. A bit of a cheer, but Stylish pops up and kicks Glory in the ribs. He tries to throw Glory over the ropes. Glory flips onto the ring apron and does Stylish’s charge. Stylish lands on his feet and Glory delivers a pescado to wipe out Stylish on the floor!
The fans are on their feet. Despite the arrogance of Johnny Glory, that move was awesome. Glory picks up Stylish and rolls him back into the ring. Glory beat Stylish before and could do it again. Jabs rock him and a corkscrew running neckbreaker gets a two count! Glory picks up Stylish and knee strikes delivered before goes for a Rocker Dropper. Stylish catches Glory in mid-move and power bomb into a back stabber! Stylish rolls over Glory and drills the knees into the back, before hoisting him up. Slingshot reverse suplex drills Glory down and Stylish covers him for a two count!
Stylish picks up Glory off of the canvas and on the top rope he goes. Stylish climbs up with Glory. Stylish yells at him to “parkour that.” Glory raises up, dazed, and Stylish hits a springboard clothesline all the way to the arena floor. Stylish punts Glory back underneath the rope and heads to the top rope. The greatest man who ever lived once again climbs atop the buckle, favoring his leg slightly, but he’s still the NAWA World Champion. Thanks to Devitt nailing Styles in the head with that piece of metal. Back at Rage in the Cage, Devitt beat Kevin Steen thanks to AJ Styles doing the same and now Styles is on the receiving end of the same. But, he beat Steen and Devitt and could have been Aries had Devitt not interfered. We fade to black. See you on Glory for all of the fallout.

If by some miracle Mia wins, Aries will waive his right to challenge for the NAWA World Title. No excuses. If the same miracle happened that happened last year at StarClash 12, Aries will step out into the night and never bother her again.
But, but, but, Aries wants something in return. When Aries beats Mia, she has to drop this crusade. She goes back to the NAWA Women’s Division, or leaves, Aries doesn’t care, but it’s it. If she can’t beat Aries for the title, it’s done, she’s done fighting men. Aries asks if Mia is one hundred percent confident she can win. All of her loyal fans, who look up to her, is she confident? Including Meghan Harris, whose father Austin Aries ran out of this company. Is Mia really stunning and brave, or is she just another marketing gimmick who melts like a snowflake because she can’t handle the heat?
Mia says she knows Aries is trying to bait her. Mia says Aries gave up his rematch...so if Mia wins, it’s done. If she can’t be the very best, then..it’s done. She’s done. Sinclair confirms that the match is on. Aries waives his return match clause if he loses and if Mia loses, she will never be allowed to compete against men ever again. Aries talks about how the world is watching. He hopes Mia understands that there’s no redos. No happily ever afters. When the clock strikes midnight, when her carriage turns back into the pumpkin, Austin Aries will be standing before the world as the NAWA World Champion and Mia will have made the biggest mistake in her life, thinking she could stand toe to toe with the greatest NAWA World Champion who ever lived.
Mia says she’ll do her talking in the ring on December 1st. After the lawyers amend the contract, it’s signed. This is it. Austin Aries against Mia Stylish IV, the final battle. One year ago, Mia Stylish beat Austin Aries at StarClash 12. Was it a fluke? Or will lightning strike twice and Mia becomes the first woman to hold the NAWA World Championship?

The video package between Mia Stylish and Austin Aries shows the long and stories history between these two competitors. Over a year ago, Mia Stylish made an attempt to leave the women’s division and set her sights on the NAWA World Title. She was randomly paired with Austin Aries in the 2012 Unholy Alliances Tournament, but things quickly broke down. She beat Austin Aries at StarClash 12. Two subsequent matches resulted in Austin Aries winning under highly dubious means. Mia won the Race to the Top Match to earn an NAWA World Title shot at any time she wanted, but that put her on the shelf for a few months with a knee injury. In the meantime, Austin Aries won the NAWA World Championship and over the past couple of months, he defended the title.
This is it, the big one. Austin Aries against Mia Stylish for the NAWA World Title. This will be Mia’s last shot to make it or break it. She’s going all in, agreeing never to compete against men ever again, should Aries beat her tonight. And Austin Aries wagered his return match clause if Mia beats him. This is it. These two will fight one more time tonight. Everything is on the line.
We have big match introductions leading up to this NAWA World Title Match. Aries and Mia go nose to nose before the bell and neither backs down from the other. Both have everything to lose in this one. The first lock up results in some chain wrestling, where Aries showcases his skills by taking Mia down to the canvas. Hammerlock applied as Aries puts the bad mouth on Mia. Mia fights out of the move and reverses into hammerlock of her own before going into a front facelock and Aries escapes the hold. The match is still young and Aries charges Mia. Drop toe hold and Mia hammers away at Aries with forearm smashes until he forces a break by getting into the ropes.
Mia motions for Aries to come at her and she hits a couple more kicks to the ribs. Mia throws Aries off into the ropes. Aries comes back with a clothesline. Mia dodges the move and forearms stun him into the ropes. Off into the corner and Mia hits a running kneelift into the corner. She climbs to the second rope and ten count punches, until Aries manages to drop Mia down onto the top rope. Aries comes back and chop block hits Mia!
The real test will be how her leg takes the punishment. Aries kicks away at the back of Mia’s leg and connects with a dragon screw legwhip to bring her down to the canvas. Aries sets up the leg and turns her around with a Half Boston Crab. Mia struggles and fights out of the hold and makes it to the ropes. Aries picks up Mia and chops her violently into the corner. Mia is thrown off into the ropes. Aries hits her with a knee to the stomach and a go behind. German Suplex delivered to Mia Stylish, bringing her down in a bridge. A cover, and Mia just barely brings the shoulder up at the count of two.
Aries rises to his feet and once again, goes back to the leg, working it over. Mia comes up to her feet and enzuigiri hits Aries to send him to the canvas. Mia steps back and Shining Wizard brings Aries down to the canvas. The challenger covers Aries and gets a two count off of the move. Mia rallies the crowd behind her and a series of jabs stun Aries. Mia goes for a clothesline. Aries dodges the move and spin kick brings Mia down. Aries pulls up Mia and hoists her up onto the shoulders. Crucifix power bomb drives Mia down to the canvas. Aries brings her down for the cover and gets a two count off of the move.
Multiple stomps to the side of the head stuns Mia. Aries picks up Mia and drives her down with a gutwrench suplex. Aries picks up Mia one more time and scoops her up. Mia drops down from behind and sends Aries off into the ropes. Mia hits a jumping dropkick to send Aries off of the ropes. Mia climbs to the top rope and a flying cross body block all the way to the arena floor. Mia might have hit her knee. Thankfully, there are no countouts in this match. Mia pulls herself up, working on pure adrenaline and she throws Aries into the ring. Mia scrambles into the ring and kicks Aries in the ribs, goes for a dragon sleeper, but Aries twists out and trips her up by the leg.
Spinning toehold right into a figure-four leglock. The NAWA World Champion would like nothing better than to see Mia submit and settle this once and for all. Aries applies the hold cranking on the move. Mia refuses to submit, but her previously injured right knee is being tested. Aries yells for her to just give in and slaps Mia in the face a couple of times, but this seems to fire her up. Mia is trying to reverse the hold. Aries grabs the ropes to block, but the referee kicks him off and the move is reversed.
The pressure is on, and Aries now has to force a break. Mia pulls herself up, but Aries comes back with a chop block to further stun her. Aries hits a knee crunching atomic drop, and goes for the figure four once again. Mia uses her good leg to kick Aries into the buckles and rolls him up for a two count! The champion thinks he’s won it. Good ring positioning allowed Mia to get to the ropes. Aries is furious and he stomps the hell out of Mia. The referee warns Aries, but the warning has no teeth, due to this match being no disqualification. Aries slides to the arena floor, and introduces a chair into the match. And now the true colors of Austin Aries is going through. The referee warns Aries. Aries swings the chair and Mia dodges it just in time. Mia takes the chair away from Aries and she throws it away, not wanting to win like this. Of course, Aries punches Mia, cheapshot right in the mouth. Mia comes back and punches Aries back. These two are trading punches, with Mia managing to stagger Aries with a rolling elbow smash to send him to the arena floor!
Aries is staggered and Mia makes her way to the floor, beating on Aries and hurling him into the guardrail! Mia brutalizes Aries with punches and throws him into the ring. Mia is back in the ring and Aries begs off. Mia will have none of that, beating Aries relentlessly, before backing up. CANADIAN DESTROYER DELIVERED BY MIA! That gravity defying flipping piledriver just sent Aries spiked into the canvas. Mia covers Aries hooking the leg and gets a two and nine tenths count when Aries just barely gets the shoulder up.
Mia is not done, not yet. She is on the second rope and Aries staggers up. Mia kicks Aries in the face. Tornado DDT, shades of an old tag team partner of her brother, Jerry Lynn! Mia has pulled out all of the stops and now she heads to the outside. Mia not going for the pin could very well have bitten her in the ass only time will tell. She’s on the top rope and 450 Splash hits the knees! Aries pulls up and looks agitated that Mia tried to use his own move against him. Aries pounds Mia relentlessly with forearm smashes and hooks her. Another brain buster leaves Mia prone! And now Aries is the one going upstairs. Aries yells “this is it, how dare you show me up like that? 450 Splash connects! Aries makes the most nonchalant cover ever. Mia might be out of it, but still what an arrogant bastard! Aries covers her and Mia somehow gets the shoulder up.
Aries yells for her to stay down and pushes her down for another cover but Mia gets the shoulder up once again! Aries yells for the referee to count faster. Aries walks over and takes off the turnbuckle pad, exposing the steel bolt. Aries is putting the badmouth on Mia, and Aries hoists her up. Snake Eyes is avoided when Mia slips out the backdoor and Aries goes crashing into the bolt he exposed. Mia pulls out a backslide to Aries. Two and nine tenths count with Aries scrambling out of the cover.
Then Aries twists Mia to her feet. Brain buster is once again avoided when Mia wiggles out of it that time. Mia bounces off the ropes. Aries catches Mia on his shoulders and Death Valley Bomb brings her down! Aries covers Mia and gets another close nearfall! Aries pulls her up, and sets her up. PILEDRIVER SENDS MIA DOWN! She’s been spiked. Aries covers Mia hooking the leg, and once again she just brings the shoulder up before the two and three fourths count! Aries picks up Mia and spits in her face before dropping her with a DDT! Another cover and another two and a half count!
Aries goes right back to the leg, figure-four leglock is locked on. Mia refuses to submit, despite being through over fifteen minutes of sheer hell. The fans are chanting for her. Aries headbutts Mia when she tries to break the hold and Mia fires back. Both exchange headbutts while in the figure-four, and then the hold is broken. Both competitors are down on the canvas. The referee can’t call such a high stakes match. Aries pulls himself up, looking groggy, but Mia can’t stand, due to her leg. Aries charges Mia. Mia dodges and Aries takes a tumble to the arena floor!
Mia grits her teeth and heads to the outside, to send Aries back into the ring. Mia punches Aries while he’s on his knee, until Aries manages to headbutt her in the stomach. The wind has been knocked out of Mia and Aries puts Mia on the top rope. Aries climbs to the top rope and sets up Mia. Superplex is avoided and Mia shoves Aries off of the top rope. Springboard Tornado DDT delivered by Mia! The fans are losing their mind, but Mia rolls over, not going for the pin, but she puts Aries in the Anaconda Vice.
The fans are buzzing, on their feet, and Aries is trying to struggle out of the hold. Mia cranks on the hold and jerks Aries to the center of the ring to apple the hold. Mia has the hold on, with Aries trying to claw and break his way out. Aries can’t break it. The referee asks Aries if he gives up, and Aries yells and curses and then taps out. We have a new NAWA World Champion. Mia Stylish won the NAWA World Title over Austin Aries with the Anaconda Vice in 20:02(****)
The fans jump to their feet, and Mia collapses, dead tired, but your new NAWA World Champion. History has been made. Mia poured everything into that match and she kept fighting, fighting, until she managed to beat Aries. That was not a lucky pin, she made Aries tap out! The referee awards Mia the belt. She can barely stand and just struggles to hold the belt over her head.
Aries is up to his feet, suddenly looking at Mia. It dawns on him very slowly what happened. Aries looks at the belt, the belt he can’t challenge for as long as Mia holds the NAWA World Championship, due to him not getting a rematch clause. Aries looks to the right, looks to the left, and sighs, and sticks his hand out. Mia eyes it and takes the hand of Aries and shakes it. Mia may have impressed Austin Aries and earned his respect tonight. Aries saunters into the night.
2013 ends with a brand new NAWA World Champion. Mia straps the belt around her waist and manages to brave the climb to the turnbuckle as fireworks go off.

NAWA Glory 1/2/2014.
A recap from StarClash 13 shows Miles Stylish winning the winner take all Three Way Dance against Ricochet and Johnny Glory to walk out with the NAWA International and Television Titles. That would be the highlight of the night, if it wasn’t for Mia Stylish beating Austin Aries to capture the NAWA World Title and shut him out of the championship picture for as long as Mia is the champion.
Tonight, Austin Aries against Miles Stylish was supposed to take place for all of the gold, but now that match is obviously up in the air, due to Austin Aries winning the NAWA World Title. The 2014 Cruiser Cup Touornament begins.
Austin Aries is in the office of Amanda Sinclair, talking to her, and asking about his match against Miles Stylish, either for the Television, International Title, or both. In comes Johnny Glory, who says that Aries is a loser last Sunday, and he should go back to the back of the line. While Glory didn’t get pinned to lose his title. In comes Ricochet who wants another crack at Miles Stylish, but Glory big leagues him, saying that Ricochet was the one who got pinned, again at the hands of Miles Stylish. And Kevin Steen comes out, and Glory mocks all three of them, saying that Steen couldn’t even get booked last Sunday. Steen reminds Glory that he pinned Glory’s shoulders to the mat, the only man to do so at Gold Rush, so perhaps Glory could step off. The NAWA Owner tells them enough, enough. Tonight, all four of them will square off, winner gets Miles Stylish at Luck of the Draw. Stylish has put in a transfer to wrestle the next month in Japan, but he will be back for Luck of the Draw and signed off on two separate title matches for Luck of the Draw, one for the Television and one for the International Title. Glory says this is a disgrace that he has to earn his rightful return match and Sinclair says if Glory was the best, he should have no problem beating three other men. Four Way, Ricochet, Austin Aries, Johnny Glory, and Kevin Steen, to get a crack at Miles Stylish and his newly won NAWA International Title at Luck of the Draw.
We kick off the Cruiser Cup Tournament wide open with Kenny Omega pinning Kyle O’Reilly with the One Winged Angel in 11:44(*** ½)
Both of these competitors had an impressive win, but it will be Kenny Omega who will be squaring off. Alex Shelley is on commentary, once again talking about how he is going to bring glory back to the Cruiserweight Title. It’s been an unfortunate afterthought, but after big wins over Jay Lethal and Johnny Gargano, Shelley feels he’s back on track.
We will be hearing from the brand new NAWA World Champion Mia Stylish tonight, after her historical victory last Sunday.
Candice LaRae pinned Alyssa Flash with the Air Raid Crash in 8:55(***)

Kana will defend her NAWA Women’s title against two world class competitors.
The Briscoe Brothers cut a promo, talking about how they want the NAWA World Tag Team Titles back. They got Bully Ray and Bobby Roode at Luck of the Draw. Jay says they’ve fought Team 3D and Beer Money, and held their own, and now the two biggest jackasses on both teams want to take on the Briscoes. Well boys, it’s time to man up, because Jay and Mark are ready to get their third run at the NAWA World Tag Team Titles.

Jay says he’ll do it, he’ll bring it, and to quote Roode’s better half “sorry about your damn luck.” Roode flips out, yelling that Storm’s the weak half of Beer Money, with Jay and Mark looking pleased that they triggered Roode.

And he shook her hand, which Ray gives static on. Aries says that he gives the devil their due every time and Mia was the better competitor, on that night. Ray looks disgusted, but Aries says that he’s going to lead by example tonight, and he will get the NAWA International Title. Then maybe Roode or Ray could win Luck of the Draw and get the NAWA World Title back? Roode says maybe that’s a good idea, remarking that he’s the only one who Mia hasn’t beaten, which doesn’t make Aries too happy. Ray tells him not to worry about it, just focus on beating three other men tonight, and beating the other Stylish.
In a four way match, Kevin Steen become the number one contender to the NAWA International Title over Austin Aries, Ricochet, and Johnny Glory when Steen pinned Glory with the Package Piledriver in 15:33. Aries had Ricochet covered after the brain buster, but the referee counted Steen’s pin. (****)
Aries jumps up, but Steen gets the win. Aries yells he won and demands to see the replay, but Steen superkicks Aries to shut him up. Kevin Steen renews an old rivalry with Miles Stylish and perhaps intends to regain the NAWA International Title in the process at Luck of the Draw.
Mia Stylish comes out, with the NAWA World Title over her shoulder. She gets applause from the fans, and thanks them all. She said that she didn’t know what to expect, when fourteen months ago, she made the decision to leave the comfort of the women’s division where she was the top and go to face the men. She’s broke barriers and become the NAWA World Champion. She wants to say the hard part is done, but Mia has been the champion before and knows keeping the title is harder than winning it in the first place.
The lights go out and when they come back on, Prince Devitt is crouched on the tournament in his demonic facepaint. He introduces himself to Mia, although she knows who he is. He’s the man who beat her brother for the NAWA World Title a year ago and caused him to slowly lose his sanity. He’s the one demon which Miles couldn’t exercise, and now he’s going to be the first to inform Mia, that he wants the NAWA World Title back. Luck of the Draw will be the end of her moment of glory, when the Bloody Sunday is hit.
Mia accepts the challenge, vowing to be a fighting champion. Devitt agrees, she will fight, right to the very last drop of blood. The lights go out, and Devitt appears on the ramp. Intimidation is the game, and Mia looks a bit shaken because this is a man her older brother had problems with. However, Mia’s in it to prove she’s a worthy champion and her win over Austin Aries wasn’t a fluke. We fade to black as Luck of the Draw is shaping up to be a big night.
