I have to say that I really enjoyed TNA this week. Of course, I enjoy it every week. However, I am really intriqued by the Daffney/Tara feud going on now. I have never seen a women's First Blood match, and I am looking forward to the cage match coming up. Would liked to have seen the match go a little longer, and a little more blood, but this feud is great. I love Daffney anyway.

I'm kind of the exact opposite. While women's wrestling is not my thing, by no means do I think it's worthless or should be eliminated or anything like that. But the First Blood match stips just put me off. I have no desire to see a woman bleed. Call me a chauvinist if you must, but the thought just makes me a bit uncomfortable.
Though, as a joke, I did think it would be hilarious if one of the women lost because she started her period during the match.
HEYO.

How about this: Tonight, live on Impact, Tara vs Daffney, a Tampex on a Pole Match!Maybe something Vinnie Mac could do first.

If it's a Pole Match, clearly Vince Russo is going to do it first. With no build. As one of 4 random gimmick matches on an Impact. That were not hyped ahead of time.

Why in the hell is Vince Russo still a member of this industry?
You have to hype that match... as part of "Playtex" hour on Spike.

Better question: why was a First Blood match on free TV rather than a PPV?

Because directly competing against the WWE in the weeks imediately before and after Wrestlemania was a brilliant idea to begin with.

I find it interesting that Daffney suddenly is a main eventer in TNA, while she is an opener/low-carder in SHIMMER.
After watching LuFisto and several Joshi girls wear crimson masks, I don't really see a problem with girls juicing. It's no more gross, in my opinion.

Well, blood has always been around in wrestling, just look at some of the old Inside Wrestling and The Wrestler magazines from the past. The covers looked like Freddy Kruger got hold of them. But very rarely has there ever been blood in a ladies (?) match.

I don't want to make it sound like I don't think a woman should ever bleed in a match. It just should be a lot more scarce. Like to use it as a stipulation in what is essentially a throw away match on TV that hardly got promoted, it just makes me feel a little uneasy.

That's just bad booking. TNA throws away free matches and doesn't announce debuts... no wonder their ratings aren't increasing.

But very rarely has there ever been blood in a ladies (?) match. AJW (All Japan Women's Wrestling) from the 80s used to see the good girls juice to Dump Matsumoto and Bull Nakano and the rest of the bad girls in quite a few matches. So this isn't really something new, just new in the US.
