...back after reading the recap @ 411, I'm pretty sure that Anderson Silva is now my least favorite fighter,(he was pretty close before) when he screws around like that it's just dissrespectfull to his opponent, to the promotion and to the fans. Silva should have ko'd Maia out in 2 minutes and sent everybody home happy...

Rafael dos Anjos' armbar was sweet. Ditto the Anacaonda Choke from the prelim fight.
Edgar-Penn was a terrible fight. Edgar definitely won, but it was only impressive in the sense that Penn had looked so good prior to this (other than the GSP fight). I guess I just don't enjoy lower weight standup fights because they're just circling and tagging each other and winning judge scores. BORING. Fucking rock someone already. Myself and all of my friends were deeply bored throughout this.
Silva-Maia...UGH. Silva was so impressive up to the point where he won the title and I was a big fan. Since then he keeps fighting people who wont fight him aggressively and seems bored to be there, but then himself wont just end the damn thing either even though it seems he's completely capable of doing so. When Maia started a round with an eye half swollen shut (surprised they let him continue like that) and a bloody nose, Silva should have just come out and attacked his blind side and wrecked him. Wish this had been the originally planned Belfort fight; I think Belfort at least would not have been afraid of Silva like Maia was. At least he apologized after the match. But while its funny sometimes this is UFC not the MMA Comedy Hour and Silva really needs to look himself in the mirror and think about how he's tarnishing his own record-setting performance. And if he keeps up like this, when he finally meets someone who isn't afraid of him, that guy might act passive at first to lull Silva into a false sense of security then suddenly turn aggressive and destroy him.

...every Anderson Silva fight, the commentators always talk about how he lets people attack him for the first minute, he weathers the storm and then knocks them out; so now fighters aren't charging in to get knocked out (middleweights anyways) and Silva will not make any signifigant move without that happening...

So as Jim Ross would say: "styles clash"? But this last fight doesn't quite fit the bill. Yes, early on he's fighting conservative, trying to get Maia to engage, and tagging him safe shots. But when your opponent has a bloody, broken nose and one eye is almost totally swollen shut there's no reason for you not to finish them.
