TNAW StarStruck 09.01.2010
A grand introduction The premiere edition of TNAW StarStruck started with everyone of the former TNA Knockouts in the ring, including the returning Sojourner Bolt and one of the very best on the independent scene - Sara Del Rey.
Christy Hemme comes to the ring and starts addressing the fans and the wrestler, saying that they will show everyone that a weekly show featuring just women, would be a great success. Christy said that Tara and Sarita/Taylor Wilde are still champions, but that the titles have been redubbed TNAW World Title and TNAW World Tag Team Titles.
Hemme also said that, since this is the first show, both titles will be on line, with Sarita and Wilde defending against The Beautiful People, and Tara defending against ODB.
The announcers, Dave Prazak of ROH and Shimmer fame, and Lauren plugs tonight's matches, which will see the debut of Sara Del Ray and an interesting three-way match between Hamada, Alissa Flash and Sojourner Bolt.
Sarita/Taylor Wilde (Sarita and Taylor Wilde) defeated The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) when Taylor pinned Sky after a rolling reverse cradle in 0:12:12. Rating: ** (Sarita/Taylor Wilde retained the TNAW Tag-Team Titles.)
Sky and Rayne was completely taken by surprise by the ferocity and speed of the champions in the opening minutes of this match. Several minutes went by before The Beautiful People managed some sort of offense, Sky nearly winning the belts for her team with a Northern Lights Suplex. Lot of nice action here, as the girls really tried to prove a point to Hulk Hogan and his cronies. The champions retained after a cradle with a bridge.
TNAW's newest acquisition So Cal Val is in the back with superagent Larry Sweeney and his client, Sara Del Rey. Sweeney claims that Sara is the most dangerous female wrestler on the planet, and that she will make her mark on TNAW, starting tonight. Sara's make-up makes her look like a maniac.
Sara Del Rey pinned Traci Brooks with the Royal Butterfly in 0:05:51. Rating: **
Traci Brooks may be the Original TNA Knockout, but she was clearly not in the league of the debuting Del Ray. Even though she managed a brief flurry of offense in the opening, Del Ray caught her unaware in an armbar, which sapped most of Brooks strength. A minute later, the Royal Butterfly was all that Sara needed.
Backstage interview So Cal Val is in the back with Tara and ODB. ODB tells Tara she got lucky at Final Resolution, and that she will win back her belt tonight. Tara says she's got ODB's number, and that she will hold the World Title for a long, long time.
Triangle Match: Hamada defeated Sojourner Bolt and Alissa Flash when Hamada pinned Bolt after a rana in 0:09:28. Rating: ** 1/2
Sojourner Bolt is back in TNA, but she was clearly the underdog in this triangle match with "Future Legend" and Hamada. This may have worked to her advantage, as Flash and Hamada concentrated on each other, almost leaving her alone. She used her strength to great advantage, hitting both her opponents with powerful suplexes. Unfortunately, Hamada's speed proved to much for her, as she connected with a rana for the win. After the match, Hamada and Bolt shook hands, but Flash refused to do so.
The Meanest Girls The Beautiful People is in the back, walking around with a blanket covered cage. Lacey von Erich says that they are going to put some fear into the tag-champs by releasing the contents of the cage, a dozen white mice. Rayne and Sky are giggling, but the giggles disappear when Lacey pulls of the blanket to reveal an empty cage with the cage door wide open. After a couple of seconds, the girls realize that this means that all the mice are on the loose, quite possible in their own locker room, and they run away screaming.
Tara pinned ODB with the Widow's Peak in 0:05:38. Rating: ** 1/2 (Tara retained the TNAW World Title.)
Time for a World Title match! This will be Tara's first defense of her title, just weeks after winning it from ODB.
Even match for the first few minutes. Tara hit a superplex, but after that, ODB was all over the champ, getting a two count after a powerslam and connecting with the Bronco Buster. Tara came back in this relatively short, but intense match, pulling out the moonsault before hitting the Widow's Peak more or less out of nowhere for the win.
Tara went to the second turnbuckle to celebrate, when to women rushed the ring from the crowd, dressed in hoodies. They pummeled Tara before revealing that they were, in fact, Jillian and Mickie James from WWE! As they continued to beat down the TNAW champ, ODB attacked the WWE divas from behind, and together, Tara and ODB chased them from the ring.
ODB grabbed a microphone and said that she has always known that from where they came from (WWE), everyone was a pussy, but if they wanted to prove her wrong, they could get back into the ring and face her and Tara. Tara looked surprise as to why her rival wanted to tag with her, but quickly agreed. Jillian and Mickie also agreed, and stripped of their civilian clothing.
ODB and Tara defeated Jillian and Alexis Laree when Tara defeated Mickie by disqualification in 0:10:36. Rating: *** 1/2 [Gail Kim interfered against ODB.] [Gail Kim interfered against Tara.]
ODB and Tara had just fought for the TNAW World Title, but the former champ didn't appear tired at all, as she tore into the intruders from up north. In fact, Tara and ODB's teamwork was nearly flawless, as they worked together as a well-oiled machinery.
The end of the match saw Alexis hit Tara with a DDT and a spear for 2. At the same time, Jillian and ODB was brawling ringside. In the ring, Alexis and Tara got hit with a double clothesline. Alexis was first on her feet, and went for another DDT. Tara blocked it and hit the Widow's Peak. As she went for the cover, another hooded women rushed the ring from the crowd and broke the pin. She hit Tara with a Superkick, and revealed herself as Gail Kim. The «Intruders» kicked the shit out of ODB and Tara, until Sarita and Taylor Wilde made the save. As the three new girls retreated to the back, Maria Kanellis and Kelly Kelly came out in the arena. Maria said that there were a host of girls from up north who is sick and tired of never making a PPV, and that they are here to show the TNAW girls that they aren't the only ones worthy of airtime on national TV. Maria said that she, Barbie Blank (Kelly Kellys name), Jillian, Gail and Alexis was just the beginning, and that they would take over!
Card rating: ** 3/4
Match observations:
A shocking show to say the least, as several wrestlers from WWE appeared towards the end, and even participated in a great tag-match featuring ODB and Tara against Alexis Laree (former Mickie James) and Jillian. What is in store next week for the girls in TNAW? Will their jobs be filled by Divas from up north?

TNAW StarStruck 16.01.2010
The TNA Girls are in an uproar The show starts out with all the TNAW girls in Christy Hemme's locker room, demanding an explanation for what happened last week. Hemme confesses she's as ignorant about this as they are, and that she didn't know that there had been an exodus of women wrestlers from WWE. She calmed them all down, saying that their jobs were not in danger.
Hamada defeated Alissa Flash by disqualification in 0:08:36. Rating: *** [Alexis Laree interfered against Alissa Flash.] [Alexis Laree and Gail Kim interfered against Hamada.]
The opening bout featured two of the quickest and fastest TNAW has to offer, and also two of the hardest hitters, as a series of chops, kicks punches and elbows in the opening minutes proved. Early in the match, Maria Kanellis and Barbie Blank came down to join Lauren and Dave Prazak in the announce booth. Prazak asked them what they were doing here, and Maria said that they were here watch some good wrestling, and that Barbie had the hots for him. That seemed to ease Dave, as he spent more time hitting on Barbie then calling the match, which was an excellent back and forth match that got called off by the referee when Gail Kim, Jillian and Alexis Laree hit the ring and started attacking both wrestlers. Flash and Hamada were dumped to the outside and told to get lost.
The Stamford Divas make their intentions clear After taking control of the ring, The Stamford Divas, which they call themselves, call out Christy Hemme, the leader of this place. Maria told Christy that they were here to make their mark, get booked and get PPV and title opportunities. And the best way to do that, was to get attention. Hemme then booked a re-match from last week, but added herself and Gail Kim to the mix. It will be Alexis Laree, Jillian and Gail Kim taking on Tara, ODB and Christy Hemme!
Sara Del Rey pinned Sojourner Bolt with the Royal Butterfly in 0:10:41. Rating: *** 3/4
Last week, superagent Larry Sweeney debuted his prime client, Sara Del Ray, with a convincing win against Traci Brooks. Against Sojourner Bolt, Sara made a point early on, hitting Bolt with a german suplex as Bolt posed for the fans before the match. Del Ray continued her onslaught, until Bolt hit with a spinebuster. Del Ray may have had an easy time with Traci last week, but this was something else, as Bolt matched Sara's size and power, making this a slugfest. Bolt even hit the Gory Bomb on Del Ray, but super agent Sweeney put her foot on the rope. While Bolt was complaining to ref Mattano, Del Ray attacked her from behind and locked in the Royal Butterfly for the win. Terrific match!
Unemployment worries The Beautiful People are walking backstage, and the trio are talking about whether their jobs really are in danger, now that an exodus of women's wrestlers from WWE have started. They run into Awesome Kong, and Lacey asks her if she fears for her job. Kong says she has nothing to fear, as there is nobody in the entire wrestling world that can match her size and power. Beautiful girls like them, however, are everywhere in WWE, so they SHOULD be worried. As Kong moves on, the camera zooms in on someone in the background. It looks like Beth Phoenix!
Awesome Kong pinned Daffney with the Awesome Bomb in 0:02:37. Rating: ***
Daffney tried valiantly against Kong, but fell short to the Awesome Bomb after a couple of minutes.
Interview with Daffney So Cal Val catches up to Daffney in the back. Daffney complains about Hemme's booking, claiming that she is nowhere near Kong's caliber. She says she will find someone and use her managerial talents once again.
The Stamford Divas (Alexis Laree, Gail Kim and Jillian) defeated ODB, Tara and Christy Hemme when Gail pinned Tara with the Eat Defeat in 0:15:55. Rating: *** 1/2
Time for the main event, as The Stamford Divas took on the TNAW World Champion, the former TNA Knockouts Champion and the TNAW General Manager.
Earlier, Christy said she was here in a GM capacity, but she proved to be tougher than she gave herself credit for, countering a rana from Gail Kim into a power bomb. Soon, however, The Stamford Divas isolated Christy from her tag-partners, using quick tags to methodically wear her down. One time, Hemme managed to tag ODB, but referee Remsburg was occupied keeping Alexis Laree out of the ring, and had to send ODB back out. Finally, after hitting Laree with a cross body out of nowhere, Hemme was able to tag ODB, who cleaned house and took Laree down with a powerslam for a two count. The ring was a total chaos now as all six girls brawled. Hemme and Jillian rolled under the ring to the outside, while ODB took Alexis Laree over the ropes with a clothesline.
In the ring, Tara had Gail Kim where she wanted her, but missed a moonsault when Barbie Blank distracted her long enough for Gail Kim to regain her bearings. Gail Kim hit the Eat Defeat and PINNED the TNAW World Champion in the middle of the ring.
The Stamford Divas exited the ring triumphantly, Maria and Barbie flanking the victorious trio.
Card rating: *** 1/4
Match observations:
A great second show here tonight, with a lot of great matches. Sara Del Ray seems to be a force to be reckoned with in the future, but everybody is, naturally, more concerned about The Stamford Divas and what they will do next in their fight to gain supremacy in TNAW!

I like where you're going with this so far. I generally have issues getting into women's wrestling, but the WWE-invasion of sorts is a cool spin on this. And Beth Phoenix vs. Awesome Kong would kick ass.

Thanks. I'm really into women's wrestling myself, and I wanted to do something else than my regular Indy promotions. Oh, and I love invasion angles. They're just difficult to do right.

Yeah. There's a very fine line between making the home promotion too weak or the invaders too weak, depending on which way it goes. It's a big reason I haven't really ever tried an invasion angle, so kudos to you.

TNAW StarStruck 23.01.2010
New title announcement The show starts with the announcers, Dave Prazak and Lauren announcing that tonight, TNAW will start an 8-woman tournament to crown the very first TNAW Maiden Champion. Among the 8 women in the tournament is Sara Del Rey, Alissa Flash, Hamada, Daffney, Sojourner Bolt and three yet to be announced wrestlers.
[TNAW Maiden Title Tournament - Quarter Final #1]: Hamada pinned Daffney after a moonsault in 0:06:44. Rating: *** 1/4
Daffney has announced that she will focus more on managing, but was still a part of the Maiden Title Tournament, taking on Hamada in a losing effort. Daffney tried taking some shortcuts to victory, choking the japanese superstar with the ropes, but Hamada possesses too much experience to be beaten by short-handed tactics, and picked up the win with a beautiful moonsault.
Backstage ruckus Backstage, GM Christy Hemme has to break up a scuffle between Sarita/Taylor Wilde and the Beautiful People. TBP says that Sarita/Wilde are afraid of them, and is therefore choosing to defend their tag-team titles against The Intruders tonight. Wilde says that the blonde trio should try to focus on defending their company against this invasion. Hemme sides with the champions, and reminds Velvet that she has a singles match with one of these Stamford Divas, up next!
Brianna Garcia pinned Velvet Sky after a backslide in 0:11:35. Rating: * 1/2
Velvet Sky in singles action now, against the debuting Brianna Garcia, the newest addition to the Stamford Divas. With the aid of Lacey von Erich, Velvet dominated this match, that actually saw Brianna get most of the crowd's cheers.Late in the match, after hitting the Beauty Mark, Brianna rolled out of the ring in pain, crawling under the ring. She emerged soon thereafter, and when Velvet went for the Beauty Mark again, Brianna, apparently rejuvenated, countered it into a backslide for the win.
A flustered Velvet Sky and Lacey von Erich tried to appeal with the referee that something illegal must have happened, but this one went to Garcia.
Daffney presents her new client Daffney presents her new client, a green dressed goth girl named MsChif. Daffney says that MsChif is a multiple champion on the independent circuit, and that she will make her name known here in TNAW. To end the interview, they both scream extraordinarily loud, causing So Cal Val to cover her ears.
Four Corners Match: Sara Del Rey defeated MsChif, Nattie Neidhart and Traci Brooks when Del Rey pinned Neidhart after a German suplex in 0:10:21. Rating: * 1/2
Two debuts in this four-way match, as original TNA knockout Traci Brooks, Sara Del Rey with superagent Larry Sweeney, MsChif and third generation superstar Nattie Neidhart squared off. Neidhart came out to the ring with a bag full of stuffed animals, giving them out to fans at ringside. Dave Prazak announced that, while technically a Stamford Diva, Nattie had opted to remain outside the villainous faction
MsChif gave a good first impression (or bad, depending on how you view it), giving both Brooks and Neidhart a thorough beating. Del Rey tried to stay on the apron as long as possible, only tagging in when superagent Sweeney felt it was tactically advantageous. Just before the 10-minute mark, she blind-tagged MsChif just as she was about to give Neidhart the Desecrator. Sara drop kicked MsChif out of the ring and hit the Royal Butterfly on Nattie, who miraculously kicked out. Sara followed up with a beautiful german suplex for the win. Sara must really be considered one of the favorites for the Maiden Title.
A meeting of giants Backstage, Awesome Kong is walking around, throwing threatening glances to both crew members and lesser wrestlers, when she bumps into the woman previously known as "The Glamazon". Even though she is well over 100 lbs lighter than Kong, she's still bigger than most of Kong's peers, and didn't back down. She presented herself as "The NEW" Miss Elizabeth, and that she was the new force of nature around here.
The Intruders (Alexis Laree and Jillian) defeated Sarita/Taylor Wilde (Sarita and Taylor Wilde) when Jillian pinned Taylor with the Full Nelson Bulldog in 0:09:37. Rating: *** (The Intruders won the TNAW Tag-Team Titles.)
The Intruders have made a shocking impact on StarStruck so far, and it was only a matter of time before Christy Hemme had to grant them a title shot at Sarita and Wildes tag titles, belts they have held for several months now.
Sarita and Wilde frustrate the Intruders early on with their fast paced lucha style, but the Stamford Divas soon isolated Taylor, wearing her down with several power moves and stiff smashes to the head. Sarita finally got the hot tag, and came in with a flurry of offense against the Intruders. When the champions attempted the springboard dropkick/german suplex combination that has given them so many victories, Laree ducked and Sarita hit Taylor instead. Laree took Sarita over the ropes with a clothesline, and Jillian hit the Full Nelson Bulldog on Taylor to WIN the TNAW Tag-team titles!
This brought out Barbie Blank, Maria and Miss Elizabeth, who promptly set up a table on the outside. While Sarita watched, helplessly trapped by Miss Elizabeth's strong arms, the Intruders double powerbombed poor Wilde through the table.
StarStruck ends with all Stamford Divas in the ring, their TNAW Tag-team title belts held high, while Sarita, Christy Hemme, Tara and ODB staring angrily at them from the entrance ramp, Wilde being stretchered out by paramedics.
Card rating: ** 1/4
The Stamford Divas have really made their mark now on the TNAW landscape, winning the tag team titles in an impressive manner. And with Taylor Wilde taken out indefinetely, who will rise to the occasion and be the Intruders next opponents?

TNAW StarStruck 30.01.2010
The show opens tonight with Maria and Barbie Blank, the leaders of the Stamford Divas, in Christy Hemme's office, demanding that they get one of the three available spots in the TNAW Maiden Title Tournament. Hemme reluctantly agrees, and asks who she has in mind. Katie Lea/Nikita walks in, now under the name Katarina. Maria says they will soon have all the championship belts in TNAW.
[TNAW Maiden Title Tournament - Quarter Final #2]: Katarina pinned Nattie Neidhart with the Kat Nap in 0:10:09. Rating: *** 1/2 [Barbie Blank interfered against Nattie Neidhart.]
Two former WWE divas faced off against each other in this Maiden Title tournamen match. Nattie was still trying to win the crowd over, bringing with her bags of small chocolates, which she tossed out to the crowd.
The british ice queen Katarina packs a mean punch, and gave an impressive debut. Nattie tried to hurt her balance by putting her in the Airplane spin on a couple of occassions, but the Stamford Diva recovered with the help of Barbie Blank pulling her down from Neidhart's shoulders. As Nattie got distracted trying to get hold of Blank, Katarina recovered and hit the Kat Nap out of nowhere to advance to the semi finals.
After the match, Blank went into the ring and called Nattie a traitor.
Brianna Garcia pinned Madison Rayne after a crucifix in 0:08:59. Rating: ** 1/4 [Barbie Blank interfered against Madison Rayne.]
Velvet Sky lost last week to Brianna Garcia, and now it was Madison's turn to try to rack up a singles win. The crowd witnessed yet again Brianna Garcia taking a breather under the ring. Lacey von Erich tried to pull her back up, but Barbie Blank got in her face. Brianna emerged on the other side of the ring, sporting a dazed look. Madison brought her back into the ring and went for the DDT, but Brianna was playing possum again, pushed herself out of the hold, ducked a clothesline and hit the crucifix for the win. Brianna has now beaten both of the Beautiful People!
Dave Prazak and Lauren informs us that the announced main event between Gail Kim and Tara has been cancelled, due to some rumors about Tara being attacked backstage. Unconfirmed suspicions about the Stamford Divas' involvement have led ODB to challenge Gail Kim in the main event instead. General Manager Christy Hemme has signed the match.
Melina defeated Awesome Kong by countout in 0:05:54. Rating: 1/4*
The paparazzi's were flashing their cameras all over the StarStruck zone as Melina strutted her way to the ring. Melina said she had pondered whether or not to come to TNAW since several of her colleagues defected, but that she was happy to stay where she was. Nobody in TNAW had the star caliber to face her. Nobody was BIG enough to deserve her attention. Now, she probably didn't mean BIG in the literal sense, but Awesome Kong soon made her way down to the ring, asking Melina if SHE was big enough for her.
Melina was no match for Kong, who tried to go for the chokeslam early on. After evading Kong's most brutal offense for several minutes, Melina was finally caught in the choke slam and dropped to the mat. Then, "The NEW" Miss Elizabeth appeared on the entrance ramp with a mic, telling Kong that she should focus on someone her own size, like her! Elizabeth continued, claiming that Kong's rampage was at an end now that she was there. Kong went out of the ring and walked towards Elizabeth, but the two large amazons were separated by security. The staredown, however, was intense.
Back in the ring, Melina picked up the countout victory while still trying to regain her footing after the brutal choke slam from Kong.
Hamada and Sarita defeated The Intruders (Alexis Laree and Jillian) when Sarita defeated Jillian by disqualification in 0:14:17. Rating: **
Sarita was allowed to pick any wrestler as her new partner for this match against the Intruders, who last week won the belts from her and Taylor Wilde. She chose international superstar Hamada, and even though they haven't tagged before, they were definetely a destructive force.
Sarita lost her cool on a couple of occasions, almost getting herself disqualified for choking or illegal entry into the ring. Hamada's experience proved of great value in this one, and she nearly won the non title match with a beautiful moonsault on Laree. Jillian broke up the pin.
The match was closing in on the 15-minute time limit mark, when Sarita hit the Tiger Driver on Jillian. Laree was on the floor, and Maria Kanellis pulled referee Mattano out of the ring and slapped her across the mouth, causing the disqualification. Sarita and Hamada caught Maria and trapped her in a corner, but were ambushed from behind by Katarina and Gail Kim, who together with a revived Alexis Laree, gave a beating to the new tag team, until ODB came in and cleared the ring, leaving only Gail Kim left.
This jump started the main event.
Gail Kim pinned ODB with the Eat Defeat in 0:12:35. Rating: ** 3/4 [Maria Kanellis interfered against ODB.]
ODB and Tara are former rivals turned allies in a desperate battle to fight the invading force known as the Stamford Divas. The Intruders have already won the tag belts and sent Taylor Wilde packing, and Gail Kim looks to be their chosen candidate for the TNAW World Title.
ODB gave Gail Kim a run for her money tonight, but Gail Kim is a former Knockout Champion herself, and with added support from Maria on the outside, she proved victorious with the Eat Defeat.
As the Stamford Divas celebrates in the ring, a worried Christy Hemme watches from the entrance ramp.
Card rating: **
The Stamford Divas cement their position in TNAW by defeating ODB in the main event. Tara was knocked out backstage, and will most assuredly want revenge on Gail Kim.
Next week: Alissa Flash vs Sarita and Sara Del Rey vs Sojourner Bolt in the Maiden Title tournament, and Miss Elizabeth makes her in-ring debut.

I like this! A believable backstory as to why this sprung up. I always thought the WWE should have started up a studio show around the ladies and the cruiserweights since there were rumors of main eventers not liking losing TV time to the ladies and having to try to work at cruisers' pace.
Don't forget the backstage skits and interviews which seemed to disappear on card #4. They've been pretty good and give these shows a polished look (sure beats just match results!)
Anyway, enjoying the Invasion angle and the show in general. Keep up the great work.

Thanks! Backstage segments are not gone, they just weren't so many on show # 4.
I try to build the shows around 1-hour slots (54 minutes after commercial), and everything from matches to interviews to segments and entrances need to be within this framework. Almost like playing TEW actually. So sometimes there will be 4 matches and several backstage segments, and sometimes 5 matches and not so many segments.
Glad you're enjoying it! I will try to put up the next card tonight.

TNAW StarStruck 06.02.10
A Grand Entrance The Stamford Divas arrive in a huge limo. As they approache the arena, we see Christy Hemme, Tara, ODB, Sarita and a host of other TNAW wrestlers standing by (noticeable by their absence are the Beautiful People and Awesome Kong), waiting for the Divas to emerge. Unfortunately for them, The Stamford Divas are protected by several big, dress clad men who act as their security. Words are being thrown, and ODB tries to reach Maria Kanellis, but the security is too tight.
A Grand Speech Afterwards, Christy Hemme gathers everyone to a pep talk. Christy holds a huge speech, where she says that this war that the Stamford Divas have brought to TNAW, is a war they cannot afford to lose. Christy says that it is great to see a somewhat united front here (camera zooms in on rivals Hamada and Alissa Flash, and the devious superagent Larry Sweeney and his client, the vicious Sara Del Rey), and tells her wrestlers that she will grant Sarita and a partner of her choice a tag team title match against The Intruders at My Bloody Valentine. Tara says she wants Gail Kim tonight, a match Christy grants.
In the background, we see the Beautiful People and Awesome Kong, obviously unsure on whether or not they should join this alliance.
TNAW Maiden Title Tournament Quarter Final # 3 Alissa Flash pinned Sarita with the Green Fall in 0:11:37. Rating: *** 1/4
The first match of the night was a qualifier for the TNAW Maiden Title. Even though she is in the hunt to regain her tag-belts, Sarita would like nothing more than to also hold singles belts here in TNAW.
This fast-paced match showcased two of the best wrestlers in the world right now, and when the ring couldn't hold them, they wrestled on the outside, ramming each other into the barricade. Sarita thought she had it with the Tiger Driver, but Flash put her foot on the rope. The Intruders came down to ringside to taunt Sarita, and while it was distracting to her, it didn't look as if it was directly the reason why she fell to the Green Fall. After the match, the Intruders were on their way into the ring, when Flash and Sarita stood tall together, warning the Intruders to back off. Which they did.
TNAW Maiden Title Tournament Quarter Final # 4 Sara Del Rey pinned Sojourner Bolt with the Royal Butterfly in 0:08:48. Rating: ** 1/2
Final quarter final match in the Maiden Title tournament, and a rematch from a couple of weeks earlier, when Del Rey continued her winning ways in a great match against Bolt. Superagent Sweeney joined Dave Prazak at the announce table, letting him know that it was a travesty that Del Rey needed to be in this tournament, and that the management should simply award her the belt. Bolt had really improved since her last match against Del Rey, taking her to the limits and nearly winning the match with the Spin Doctor (and nearly gave Sweeney a heart attack to boost). As usual though, Del Rey eventually scooped her opponent up in the Royal Butterfly and slammed her to the ground for the win.
Miss Elizabeth's debut Miss Elizabeth pinned Traci Brooks with the Stamford Slam in 0:03:45. Rating: *
"The NEW" Miss Elizabeth has been an impressive figure on TNAW StarStruck so far, but this is her in-ring debut. The Stamford Diva had no problems with Traci in this one, toying with her for a while before dumping her with a Pedigree-like move she has dubbed the Stamford Slam.
After the match, she held Traci in a chokebomb hold until Awesome Kong came walking down to the ring. Miss Elizabeth stood tall in the ring as Kong made her way into it. The biggest female wrestler on the planet, and the biggest Stamford Diva was staring at each other for over a minute, while the crowd was shouting for Kong to knock her out. At the urging of Maria Kanellis, Miss Elizabeth rolled out of the ring, while Kong was staring intently at her.
We have later learned that Awesome Kong has demanded a match with Elizabeth at My Bloody Valentine, and that Hemme has approved! Kong is on board with the TNAW girls!
Non-title Match Gail Kim pinned Tara after an elbowsmash in 0:18:28. Rating: *** 1/4 [Maria Kanellis and Brianna Garcia interfered against Tara.]
Gail Kim and other Stamford Divas laid out Tara backstage last week, but tonight, the champion had her chance against the Stamford Diva. Tara frustrated Gail Kim's attempts early on, but the former Knockout Champion eventually started working on Tara's head and neck, wearing it down with a sleeperhold. Gail Kim hit the Eat Defeat out of nowhere, but Tara showed why she is the champion, kicking out of Kim's deadly finisher. When she moments later hit the Widow's Peak, everyone thought the win was Tara's. Maria Kanellis has other ideas, however, and pulled referee Steve Crabs out of the ring. Crabs was about to DQ her, when she gave him a kiss right on the lips and told him to go inside and finish the match. As Tara confronted Crabs with his decision not to DQ Kim, Barbie Blank snuck in an elbow pad to Kim, which she used to knock Tara senseless and win the match.
As the show came to a close, Tara, Maria and Barbie stood over a lifeless Tara, and showed that the elbow pad was loaded with lead. Ref Crabs was about to reverse the decision, but Maria "convinced" him otherwise.
Card rating: ** 1/2
Match observations:
Yet again, the Stamford Divas stand triumphantly in the ring at the end of StarStruck. This time, Tara, TNAW World Champion was defeated in a non-title match against Gail Kim.
All quarter finals in the TNAW Maiden Title Tournament have been decided, and the semi-finals will be held next week.
Hamada vs Katarina Alissa Flash vs Sara Del Ray
The card for "My Bloody Valentine" now is as follows:
Gail Kim vs. Tara (c) for the TNAW World Title Sarita & TBA vs. The Intruders (c) for the TNAW Tag-team belts Awesome Kong vs "The NEW" Miss Elizabeth The finals of the TNAW Maiden Title tournament

Too many/much of the Stamford Divas for a TNA show, throw in the fact they were involved in half the matches (2 of 4) and won them both, I would swear you were promoting a WWE show and not TNA.
While I don't have a problem with a WWE Invasion angle, I think you should have done a little later down the road, after establishing things with the new show, title and new acquisitions. Get your fans to give their full support to the show and the TNA Knockouts first before showcasing the WWE's people.
One question ... what's the Maiden Title?

Thanks for the comments! Jumpstarting a "new" (I would say "split) promotion with an invasion angle might not have been as good an idea as doing it later (and more slowly).. I absolutely loved the nWo Invasion angle, which was pulled off slower. The Intruders are, of course, based on The Outsiders. My problem was that the TNA Knockouts weren't many enough to complete a roster for its own show. I guess I could have hired several of the Shimmer girls. The Maiden Title is a secondary title, like the IC/US belt. I don't know if the name is too goofy, but it was the best I could come up with

I like it Rey. I understand why you needed to grab a few people, because TNA has what, less then 10 total Divas? God, you could've went worse and pulled Sable out of retirement.

Don't get me wrong, I like the angle and it has been a good read so far, I just thought it was a little too quick before your own people were established.
As for doing it to build up the size of the roster, does that mean TNA and the WWE have combined/joined? Otherwise, what happens once the angle is over? It puts you back at square one with a small roster when the WWE girls "go home". For what it is worth, the indies have some talented women wrestlers and an invasion by some from Japan (rather than the WWE) to show the American women how to wrestle would have made for an interesting angle.

I could maybe have been more clear on this, but yeah, the Stamford Divas quit WWE when they heard that an all-female promotion with a TV-show opened. That's why I had to change their names as well (I know I didn't have to, but hey, I like realism). When the Invasion angle is over, some will stay, and some may go, depending on whether I have something for them creatively.

TNAW StarStruck 13.02.10
Prazak announces four way
The show starts with Lauren and Dave Prazak announcing that a special four-way match has been signed for My Bloody Valentine. Four hungry independent wrestlers - Nicole Matthews, Daizee Haze, LuFisto and former TNA Knockout Roxxi - will wrestle for a TNAW contract.
TNAW Maiden Title Tournament Semi Final # 1 Hamada pinned Katarina after a moonsault in 0:07:17. Rating: **
The first match is a semi finals match for the TNAW Maiden Title. The winner of this match will fight for the belt on My Bloody Valentine.
The japanese was all over the brit, pulling out her vast array of aerial maneuvers to put her away. Barbie Blank tried to help out the Stamford Diva, but Hamada saw her and knocked her off the apron before putting Katarina away with the moonsault. Hamada has her sights set on the Maiden Title!
Tag match The Stamford Divas (Brianna Garcia and Melina) defeated The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) when Garcia defeated M. Rayne via pinfall in 0:04:53. Rating: * 1/4 [Barbie Blank and Nicole Garcia interfered against Velvet Sky.]
Both Rayne and Sky had fallen in singles action against Brianna Garcia in recent weeks, but they are primarily tag-team wrestlers, so they demanded a tag-team match with Brianna and a partner of her choosing. She chose none other than Melina, and this new tag-team attacked the Beautiful People during their entrance, kicking the rope when The Beautiful People posed between the ropes.
The fans actually wanted to see The Beautiful People take this away, and their knowledge of each other really gave them an advantage in this match. The Stamford Divas also had an advantage, as Brianna's twin appeared from under the ring, clocking Rayne in the head with a chair!
When Brianna defeated Velvet and Madison in recent weeks, she had always hid under the ring for a short time, and then reappeared completely fresh. It had been a switch all along!
The Beautiful People are on board!
The Beautiful People are in Christy Hemme's office, Madison clutching a bag of ice on her swollen head. Lacey demands a match against the Garcia Twins at My Bloody Valentine. Christy asks if they are on the TNAW girls side in the escalating conflict. The threesome nods, and Velvet says that they will chase them back from where they came from.
Singles match Miss Elizabeth pinned Nattie Neidhart with the Stamford Slam in 0:05:39. Rating: *** 3/4
Nattie Neidhart desperately tries to win the fans over, this time she hands out roses to people in the crowd. Taking on the biggest Stamford Diva, "the NEW" Miss Elizabeth might be one way of ingratiating herself with the fans, and they rallied behind her as she tried to lift Elizabeth up for the airplane spin. Instead, she went for the Sharpshooter, which really got the crowd going. Strangely, Nattie let go rather quick and went for a cover, which Elizabeth kicked out of and promptly set Nattie up for the Pedigree-like move she calls the Stamford Slam.
After the match, Elizabeth lifted Nattie up for the choke-bomb, when Awesome Kong charged the ring. Elizabeth dropped Nattie, and yet again, the two muscular women was staring at each other, like two angry animals looking for a fight, but afraid to make the first move. Then, out of nowhere, Nattie Neidhart dropkicked Awesome Kongs knee from behind, the big woman buckling. Elizabeth gave her a stiff kick to the face, and then dropped Kong with the Stamford Slam. Elizabeth and Nattie left the ring together, lauging at Kong.
Nattie explains her actions
In the back, So Cal Val catches up with Nattie, asking for answers. Nattie said that she didn't owe Val any answers, but gave her one anyway. Nattie said that she realized that TNAW will be ruled by Maria & Barbie and the rest of the Stamford Divas, and that she didn't want to be on the losing side. She also told Val that up north, the interviewers were both better and prettier than her, so she should be looking for new employment.
Singles match ODB pinned Jillian after a running powerslam in 0:05:40. Rating: ** 1/2 [Alexis Laree interfered against Jillian.]
In facing one-half of the current tag-team champions, ODB had her work cut out for her. Not only did she have to wrestle Jillian, she also had to have eyes in her back, as Alexis tried to intervene as often as she could without the ref's knowledge. Jillian is a great wrestler, no doubt, and she even pulled out a 450 splash. ODB fought with great tenacity, however, and when Alexis accidentally tripped Jillian, ODB pulled her up into a running powerslam to earn the win.
After the match, the tag-champs jumped Jillian, until Sarita came to the save. As ODB and Jillian brawled to the back, a ref came into the ring and started a regular match between Sarita and Laree.
Singles match Alexis Laree pinned Sarita after a roll up in 0:05:25. Rating: ** 1/2 [Jillian and Maria Kanellis interfered against Sarita.]
Sarita still needs to find a tag-team partner for tomorrow's title match against the Intruders, as Hamada, her preferred partner, will be fighting for the Maiden Title. If she cannot find one, she will probably fight on her own, and if she has the fighting spirit she showed in this match, I wouldn't put it past her to win it. Desperate to not lose this one as well, Maria jumped up on the apron and got ref Crabs attention. Ref Crabs has a good eye to Maria, and while he chatted with her, Alexis hit Sarita between the eyes with the title belt. Sarita instinctively kicked out of it, but fell to a roll-up (with a really quick count as well).
Laree and Maria put the boots to Sarita, until Sojourner Bolt ran in for the save.
Sarita presents her new partner
Backstage, Sarita offers Sojourner to tag with her for the tag-team belts tomorrow night. Bolt accepts.
Main event - TNAW Maiden Title Tournament Semi Final #2 Sara Del Rey pinned Alissa Flash after the Kudo Driver in 0:08:38. Rating: ***
The main event will decide who Hamada's opponent for the Maiden Title match tomorrow will be. Superagent Larry Sweeney joined Prazak and Lauren, telling them that the match was supposed to be earlier tonight, but that his managerial awesomeness had enabled Sara to feature in the main event.
These two are no strangers to each other, having faced each other several times on the independent circuit, and gave the fans in attendance and the viewers a great match, punishing each other with their full arsenal of moves. Del Ray tried to put on the Royal Butterfly, but Flash, fearing that move more than anything else from Del Ray, always managed to get out of it. Flash tried to set Del Rey up with the Vertebreaker, the deadly Kudo Driver, but Del Rey countered it with a Kudo Driver of her own, stealing Flash's move and advancing to the finals!
Post-match brawl
Sara didn't celebrate long, as the Stamford Divas, all of them, charged the ring and tossed out both girls (and Sweeney). As Maria was handed a microphone, the TNAW Girls, led by Christy Hemme, attacked the ring.
A huge brawl ensued, which saw the likes of Awesome Kong and the Beautiful People on the same side as Tara, ODB and Sarita. The TNAW Knockout succeeded in taking the ring, trapping poor, traitorous Nattie Neidhart. Awesome Kong gorilla pressed the third generation superstar, press slamming her over the ropes and at the Stamford Divas.
Card rating: ** 3/4
Match observations:
A triumphant end of the show for the TNAW girls, but will tomorrow bring the same sense of triumph?
Tara will put her belt on the line against Gail Kim, Sarita and Sojourner Bolt will try to defeat the tag-team known as the Intruders, the Beautiful People will take on The Garcia Twins and the fearsome Awesome Kong will butt heads with "the NEW" Miss Elizabeth.
In addition to this, the TNAW Maiden Title will be decided between Sara Del Ray and Hamada, four girls will battle for a TNAW contract, and, recently added, Christy Hemme, ODB and Traci Brooks will take on the Stamford Girl team of Katarina, Nattie Neidhart and Melina.
Don't miss My Bloody Valentine!

Sara Del Ray & Hamada should be really good, as should Elizabeth vs. Kong. It's sure taking a lot for my mind to wrap around these new names though. The invasion angle has been a good way to get this promotion up on its feet, but I'm really looking forward to seeing how everyone interacts when it's no longer "us vs. them."

My Bloody Valentine - 14.02.10
Preshow Match: Alissa Flash pinned Daffney after the Kudo Driver in 0:04:38. Rating: ***
Alissa Flash was furious at Sara Del Rey for stealing her finisher as she moved past her on her way to the TNAW Maiden Title match, and took out her frustrations on Daffney here tonight in a pre-show match.
Winner receives TNAW Contract: LuFisto defeated Nicole Matthews, Daizee Haze and Roxxi when LuFisto pinned N. Matthews with the Burning Hammer in 0:12:49. Rating: ** 1/2
This match was a golden opportunites for these girls, as the winner would get a TNAW contract. Contrasting styles as well, as the small and lithe Daizee Haze, hardcore/strong-style wrestler LuFisto, technical prodigy Nicole Matthews and the former TNA knockout, Roxxi, faced each other in four-corner survival.
All girls were very impressive, and TNAW management should, I think, consider signing all of this! The finish saw a fantastic exchange of finishers, from Roxxi giving LuFisto a power bomb, Daizee hitting the Heart Punch->Yakuza Kick combo, Nicole Matthews leveling Daizee with a lariat, but then turning right into a Burning Hammer from LuFisto, who steals the win and the TNAW contract.
TNAW Maiden Title Match: Hamada pinned Sara Del Rey with the Hamada Driver in 0:12:30. Rating: ** 1/2 (Hamada won the TNAW Maiden Title.)
The impressive aerial finesse of Hamada met the tough as bones mentality of Larry Sweeney's prime client, Sara Del Rey for the TNAW Maiden Title. Sara moved past Alissa Flash in the semi finals by blatantly stealing her finisher, an act that is deemed a great breach of etiquette in the wrestling world.
This was a wilde match, as Hamada pulled out a dizzying array of high-flying maneuvers, including a sick jumping DDT that landed Del Rey on top of her head. Del Rey, led by superagent Sweeney, tried to slow the pace by using submission moves to ground her opponent.
Towards the end, Hamada was in control and even hit the Hamada Driver. Del Rey was out, but Sweeney put her foot on the rope. Alissa Flash ran down to the ring and started chasing Sweeney around it. Hamada hit a moonsault and a new Hamada Driver for good measure. Sara Del Rey has lost her first match in TNAW, and is the FIRST TNAW Maiden Champion!
Tag Team Grudge Match The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) defeated The Garcia Twins (Brianna Garcia and Nicole Garcia) when Sky pinned Nicole Garcia with the Beauty Mark in 0:11:10. Rating: * 1/4
The devious Garcia Twins pulled one over against both Rayne and Sky in singles competition, one twin hiding beneath the ring and switching with the other twin when she got tired. While this earned them a couple of singles win, it also pushed The Beautiful People fully unto TNAW's side in this invasion.
While the twins may have some sort of twin bond between them, Rayne and Sky are both more experienced, and pissing them off may have been the wrong thing to do for Nicole and Brianna. Barbie Blank was ringside, but that threat was equalized by the Beautiful People having Lacey von Erich at their side. The Garcia Twins pulled out some nice double-team maneuvers, but the Beautiful People stood tall after the match, Sky pinning Nicole with the Beauty Mark.
Singles Grudge Match Miss Elizabeth and Awesome Kong battled to a no contest in 0:12:11. Rating: ** 1/4
This was a match I was really looking forward too. The WWE "Glamazon", now "The NEW" Miss Elizabeth, against the behemoth known as Awesome Kong. Even if Miss Elizabeth is the largest from the Stamford Divas, Kong is over 100 pounds heavier, and had the crowd at her side.
Both women tried to test each other early with shoulderblocks and clothesline, Miss Elizabeth coming out on the losing side on both occasions. Kong dominated her early on, even hitting the Awesome Bomb. It was a little too early though, as Miss Elizabeth reached for the ropes. Elizabeth came back after this, rocking Kong with a sitout powerbomb for a two-count.
Referee Bryce Remsburg had his hands full with these two, as they were not above putting their hands on the smaller male. First, Awesome Kong pushed him away when he tried to pull her out of the corner. Then, Miss Elizabeth gave him an elbow when she was choking Kong on the mat. THEN, both girls kicked out at him when he tried to separate them and get them back into the ring. Even though Bryce is a lenient ref, this time he had had enough, and threw the match out. Security had to break the two up, and I don't think we have seen the last of them..
Thieves in the night
As security escorts Kong and Miss Elizabeth through the backstage area, they start brawling again. Several of the wrestlers get involved trying to break them up, including World Champion, Tara. In the confusion, Barbie Blank and Maria Kanellis sneak into Tara's locker room, stealing her pet spider, Poison!
Tag Team Title Match The Intruders (Alexis Laree and Jillian) defeated Sojourner Bolt and Sarita when Jillian pinned Bolt with the Full Nelson Bulldog in 0:22:32. Rating: *** 1/2 (The Intruders retained the TNAW Tag-Team Titles.) [Maria Kanellis interfered against Sarita.]
The Intruders were the first Stamford Divas to show up in TNAW, and the first to gain some gold around their waists. One-half of the former champs, Sarita, has picked Sojourner Bolt as her partner, as Taylor Wilde is gone from TNAW for now. They had never teamed before, so they had to be considered the underdogs for this match.
Still, the underdogs gave the champions one hell of a match, pushing them to their limits, making them pull out all of their tricks, even the underhanded ones, as Maria Kanellis was really not interested in losing the titles so soon. For over twenty minutes they battled, and Jillian had to pull out the Full Nelson Bulldog on Bolt, while Sarita was occupied with fending off both Alexis and Maria.
Six Woman Tag Team Match Christy Hemme, Traci Brooks and ODB defeated The Stamford Divas (Katarina, Melina and Nattie Neidhart) when ODB pinned Melina with the Flying Thesz Press in 0:11:41. Rating: * 1/4
Six-woman tag-action as Barbie Blank led three Stamford Divas, including the turncoat Nattie Neidhart, into battle with Christy Hemme and her chosen, former TNA Knockout Champion ODB and original TNA knockout, Traci Brooks.
Before the match, Barbie riled up the crowd and her opponents by saying that the TNAW team consisted of two former Playboy sluts, and one woman who nobody wants to see in Playboy. This was probably not such a good idea, as even though the Stamford Divas controlled the opening minutes, isolating, Hemme, then Traci in the ring, ODB was a woman on fire, unleashing her pent up rage on all three Stamford Divas, including Barbie, before hitting Melina with the Thesz Press and the win.
The TNAW girls got at least ONE win tonight..
TNAW World Title Match Tara made Gail Kim submit to a Canadian backbreaker in 0:18:05. Rating: *** 1/2 (Tara retained the TNAW World Title.) [ODB interfered against Gail Kim.] [Nicole Garcia and Miss Elizabeth interfered against Tara.]
As Tara walked to the ring, you could obviously see some discomfort on her face, probably from losing Poison earlier on. This allowed Gail Kim to dictate the first minutes of the match, as Tara's mind were somewhere else. Tara gained momentum throughout the match though, as Maria's presence were neutralized by the fact that ODB was sitting ringside, verbally threatening Maria with a beating should she attempt anything.
Gail Kim missed a moonsault at about the 15-minute mark, and Tara promptly hit the Widow's Peak. Before she could make the pin though, Barbie Blank appeared on the big screen, standing in the basement of the cellar, outside of the incinerator. She told Tara that she had Poison, and showed her a spider in a small cage. If Tara didn't lie down and got pinned immediately, she would throw Poison inside. Tara, torn between the belt and her pet, laid down, but when the ref had reached two, Tara kicked out and soon locked in a Canadian backbreaker. As Tara watched in horror as Barbie throw Poison into the incinerator, she applied even more pressure on Gail Kim, forcing her to submit.
A shocking end of our first PPV, as a teary-eyed Tara clutched her belt to her chest, as Gail Kim and Maria walked out the losers, but still laughing at Tara. These Stamford Divas are devious!
Card rating: ** 1/2
Match observations:
Our first PPV is in the books, with Hamada as the new and first Maiden Champion, the Intruders still the tag-champs and Tara making the ultimate sacriface for her TNAW World Title. No clear answer has been given on who is the better of Awesome Kong and Miss Elizabeth, but what is clear, is that the Stamford Divas will stop at nothing to gain control over the championships here in TNAW.

Thanks guys. I'm really surprised that so many are interested in a women's fed, but comments such as these makes it easy to continue. I have feuds planned for several months now, so I'm excited to move forward. My challenge is twofold:
1: How long should the Invasion angle last? 2: Keep the promotion going when the angle is over..
