TNAW StarStruck - 03.04.2010
Join us for the last StarStruck before TNAW's second Pay-per-view, A Girls Night Out!
Interview with the Stamford Divas
In the Stamford Divas' locker room, Barbie Blank and Maria Kanellis are having a pep talk with Gail Kim. They tell her that they have taken a lot of risks with her, and that the ladder match against Tara is her last attempt at the belt. Then they will find another captain. Gail says she understands, and that she will not fail them another time. Tara's belt will be hers - officially. They then see that a camera man is in their locker room, and ushes him away.
Christy Hemme & ODB vs. The Garcia Twins w/Barbie Blank
Four wrestlers involved in the big elimination match at A Girls' Night Out. ODB didn't seem completely sober in this match, but was still able to dominate the Garcia Twins with her strength and brawling capacity. Hemme almost pulled home the win with a vicious looking spear, but it was ODB that hit Nicole with a running powerslam for the win. The battle lines are drawn, the fate of StarStruck hangs in the balance tomorrow.
Christy Hemme and ODB defeated The Garcia Twins (Brianna Garcia and Nicole Garcia) when ODB pinned Nicole Garcia after a running powerslam in 0:06:24. Rating: 1/2*
Nattie in the Dungeon
A video segment from the Hart Dungeon airs, Nattie Neidhart training with her father and a couple of her uncles. Nattie says that LuFisto doesn't know what's waiting her. While Nattie has learned the craft from some of the best in the history of wrestling, LuFisto has plied her trade being thrown through tables and thumbtacks. Nattie promises her father, Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart that she will pick down the Canadian flag and win the match at the PPV.
Alissa Flash vs. Larry Sweeney
First intergender match in TNAW was between Sara Del Ray's superagent, Larry Sweeney, and Sara's rival, Alissa Flash. Sweeney was stalling a lot in this match, not particularly keen on letting Flash get her hands on her. At last, Flash got hold of the weasel Sweeney, and put her in a half Boston, almost making him submit of pain. Flash followed it up with an Air Raid Crash, but Sweeney, who have wrestling experience, kicked out. Sweeney took back the initiative with an eye gouge, and was punishing Flash without mercy for some minutes, before Flash countered a piledriver with a backdriver and hit a vicious lariat. Sara Del Rey hit the ring and broke the pin, causing the DQ. Del Rey and Sweeney continued to beat on Flash, trying to put her away before their match tomorrow. Sara had Flash up in the Kudo Driver position, but Flash slipped over, and hit a drop kick on Del Ray, sending her out of the ring. She then turned to Sweeney, kicked him in the gut and hit a Kudo Driver on him!
Alissa Flash defeated Larry Sweeney by disqualification in 0:07:49. Rating: * 1/4 [Sara Del Rey interfered against Alissa Flash.]
Back from commercial, we see Sweeney being carried away by paramedics. It doesn't look like Sweeney will be a factor tomorrow night!
Miss Elizabeth w/Maria Kanellis vs Sarita
It was time for the two main events, the Pick Your Poison matches for Elizabeth and Awesome Kong.Elizabeth's chosen opponent was Sarita, and the Mexican superstar took the opportunity granted her by Kong to go for a small upset, even hitting the Tiger Driver on "The NEW" Miss Elizabeth. Pinning Elizabeth is tough thing to do, and the Tiger Driver was, unfortunately for Sarita, not enough. Elizabeth punished Sarita thoroughly throughout the match, hitting a chokebomb and a powerslam for close falls, before locking Sarita's arms behind her back and hitting the Stamford Slam for the 3-count.
Miss Elizabeth pinned Sarita with the Stamford Slam in 0:10:07. Rating: *** 1/2
Tara video package
A video package of the TNAW World Champion airs, with some nice rock musick to accompany it. Tara talks about her time in the WWE, being overlooked because she didn't look like a bimbo. We see her running and working out, playing with Poison and training wrestling. Tara says that she is ready for tomorrow's ladder match
Video package
Back from commercial, a video package highlights the matches for tomorrow's PPV. The Finisher Match between Del Rey and Flash. The TNA Maiden Title Match between the international superstar Hamada and the mysterious Miss Wrestling. The Canadian Flag Match between LuFisto and the third generation superstar Nattie Neidhart. The tag-team title match between The Beautiful People and the Intruders. The 8-women elimination match that decides who will run StarStruck in April. The Streetfight between the behemoths of TNAW, Awesome Kong and Miss Elizabeth. And of course, the TNAW World Title Match between Tara and Gail Kim.
Awesome Kong vs. Sara Del Rey
Sweeney was absent for Sara Del Rey's main event match against Awesome Kong. Still, being picked by Elizabeth for this Pick Your Poison Match meant a lot to Sara, who had to try and beat Awesome Kong, but also stay alive for her match against Flash tomorrow. Alissa Flash may actually be laughing all night, as she saw how Del Ray and Kong beat the crap out of each other. This was a slobberknocker, with neither girls holding anything back as they pummeled each other with fists, elbows, skulls and kicks. Sara tried to get Kong up in the Royal Butterfly, but hoisting the 270 pounder up is as tough as it sounds like. Del Ray kicked out of a spinning back elbow, but a stunned Del Ray could not avoid the Awesome Bomb, and as Kong's hand was raised in victory, Miss Elizabeth appeared in the aisle, giving mock applause before their match tomorrow.
Judging from their matches, Kong definetely received more beating than Miss Elizabeth.
Awesome Kong pinned Sara Del Rey with the Awesome Bomb in 0:11:48. Rating: *** 1/4
Card rating: ** 3/4
Match observations:
This was the final StarStruck before A Girls' Night Out, a PPV where the landscape of TNAW may change for the next month. All titles are at stake, and the two biggest and meanest girls in the federation will battle it out in a match where the only rule is: there are no rules!
Don't miss it for the world!

TNAW - Girls' Night Out - 04.04.2010
The Stamford Divas arrive
The Stamford Divas arrive in a huge limo. Big bodyguards protect them as they emerge from the car, Maria cradling the TNAW World Title, which will be on the line in a ladder match between Tara and Gail Kim later tonight. The Garcia Twins, Melina and Katarina look focused as they walk into the building. They know that they are Maria's chosen in her bid to control StarStruck for one month. A Girl's Night Out is upon us!
Hamada (c) vs. Miss Wrestling for the TNAW Maiden Title
The PPV kicked off with the Maiden Title Match. Both these girls are undefeated in singles wrestling so far in TNAW, but last week, Miss Wrestling made Hamada pass out in the Choke Sleeper. She may have had the psychological advantage going into this match, but as experienced Hamada is, she knows how to put that loss behind her and focus on this important title match. Great technical exchanges dominated the opening of this match, before the girls increased the pace and started working a more high-flying style. The masked (but definetely blond) Miss Wrestling could move as well, wiping out Hamada with a cross body. She also put the Choke Sleeper on the Japanese, but the champ was too close to the ropes. At the 10-minute mark, Hamada went for the Hamada Driver, but Miss Wrestling slid down her back and hit a school-girl for a close count. A couple of minutes later, Hamada hit the Hamada Driver to retain. The two women shook hands after this excellent opening match.
Hamada pinned Miss Wrestling with the Hamada Driver in 0:13:23. Rating: *** (Hamada retained the TNAW Maiden Title.)
LuFisto vs. Nattie Neidhart - Canadian Flag Match
It's time for the flag match! Two canadian girls vying for the unofficial title as the best from the Maple Leaf. The object of this match, retrieve the Canadian Flag that hangs on a pole in the opponent's corner. In the opening, neither girls cared much about the flag on the pole, and more about punishing each other. Nattie was the first to try and climb the turnbuckle and reach for the flag, but LuFisto caught her and brought her down with a top-rope rana. This match wasn't that long, but it was intense all the way through. At about the 5-minute mark, the two girls was slugging it out on the apron, close to Dave and Lauren's announce table. LuFisto swung at Nattie, who ducked and promptly back suplexed LuFisto through the table! With LuFisto motionless on the floor, Nattie climbed the pole to retrieve the flag. An unpopular victory among the StarStruck fans, but another excellent match.
Flag Match: Nattie Neidhart defeated LuFisto in 0:07:07. Rating: *** 3/4
Christy prepares her troops
Christy and her three partners in tonight's Elimination match are getting ready backstage. Sarita and Sojourner are working out, and Christy walks over to ODB, who stands in the background, a distant look on her face. Christy asks her if everything's OK, and if she's ready. ODB asks her if she can get a title match if they win tonight. Hemme gets annoyed, saying that this is about more than her, and that there are a lot of girls gunning for the big one. Christy tells her to put her head into THIS match, and forget about the world title for the time being. ODB nods and starts doing some squats.
The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky) w/Lacey von Erich vs. The Intruders (Alexis Laree & Jillian) w/Maria Kanellis
Tag Team titles on the line, as The Beautiful People took on The Intruders. Jillian and Alexis dominated the opening minutes, performing quick tags to keep Velvet Sky separated from Madison. Alexis did the brunt of this work, even sending poor Velvet to the outside with a backdrop. The Intruders continued to torture TBP, using distracting techniques to keep ref Rosenberg occupied while they double-teamed either Sky or Rayne. Finally, Lacey von Erich had had enough, and tore Maria Kanellis down from the apron while she was talking with ref Rosenberg. This allowed Velvet to tag Madison, who went ballistic on Jillian and Alexis, hitting them with several clotheslines before drop kicking Alexis out of the ring. Madison tagged Velvet again, who set Jillian up for the Makeover. Madison and Velvet hit their STO/Yakuza kick combination to WIN the Tag-Team Titles!
The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) defeated The Intruders (Alexis Laree and Jillian) when Sky pinned Laree after The Makeover in 0:08:15. Rating: ** (The Beautiful People won the TNAW Tag-Team Titles.) [Maria Kanellis interfered against Madison Rayne.]
As Maria and Alexis helped the semi-conscious Jillian out of the ring - the three girls celebrated their win. Lacey was crying - literally - her makeup was running down her cheeks. Then, out of nowhere, Miss Wrestling slid into the ring with a steel chair, blasting Velvet in the back and Madison in the gut and leg. Von Erich couldn't understand anything of this unprovoked attack, but that didn't prevent Miss Wrestling from blasting her in the head as well. What the h**K is going on??
8-women elimination match for the control of StarStruck
A chaotic start to this eight-women elimination match. Barbie Blank joined the announce team, to Dave Prazak's delight. Maria directed her wrestlers from the side, but it was Team Christy who got the first pin. The Garcia Twins were double-teaming Sojourner, when the strong Bolt hit them both with a double clothesline, Brianna with a powerslam and Nicole with the Gory Bomb to make the first elimination. Christy was in heaven for about ten seconds, as Katarina ran right in and hit the Kat Nap to even the score. Christy threw herself into this match now, and had some grueling exchanges with Brianna Garcia, even kicking out of the Sitout Facebuster before hitting the Flying Firecrotch Guillotine, that split-legged diving legdrop, to eliminate the second twin from the match. Again, Team Christy didn't pay enough attention, as Melina snuck in and hit the Schoolgirl to even the score, yet again.
It was now two against two, Melina and Katarina against Sarita and ODB. Sarita climbed through the ropes, but ODB smashed her in the head with her hip flask, glass shattering on the Mexican senoritas head. As Christy watched in horror, Katarina hit a german suplex on Sarita to eliminate her. ODB then entered the ring and laid down for the voluntary pin. Maria has won control over StarStruck for ONE month, and Christy has been betrayed by ODB!
ODB yells at Christy, saying that if SHE won't give her the title match she deserves, somebody else will! She has sold out TNAW for a chance to win the title. Unbelieveable.
Elimination Match: The Stamford Divas (Brianna Garcia, Katarina, Melina and Nicole Garcia) beat ODB, Sojourner Bolt, Sarita and Christy Hemme 4 falls to 2: x Bolt beat Garcia via the Gory Bomb in 0:05:40 x Katarina beat Bolt via the Kat Nap in 0:06:05 x Christy beat Garcia via the Flying Firecrotch Guillotine in 0:11:29 x Melina beat Christy via a schoolgirl roll up in 0:11:58 x Katarina beat Sarita via a German suplex in 0:12:39 x Katarina beat ODB via a pinfall in 0:13:22 Survivors: Katarina, Melina Rating: *
Awesome Kong vs. "the NEW" Miss Elizabeth in a Street Fight
It was time for Miss Elizabeth/Awesome Kong II. This time, the only rule of the match was that THERE ARE NO RULES. Elizabeth attacked Kong at the entrance ramp, and they slowly brawled back to the ring, where Kong introduced Elizabeth to the unyielding steelsteps. This match was as brutal as one could imagine. They punched, kicked and choked each other, using the barricades, the ring apron, the posts and various objects such as a garbage can, a chair and a rope. Still, this wasn't a falls count anywhere-match, so when Awesome Kong Awesome Bombed Elizabeth on the steel steps, she had to pull her back into the ring. The time it took, was enough for Elizabeth to get her hands up.
Kong chopped Elizabeth so hard and so many times, that her chest area had several large bruises on them after the match. Elizabeth brutalized Kong as well, driving her head into a chair with a DDT. The match went past the 20-minute mark, when Awesome Kong brought a part of the steel barricades with her into the ring. She placed a dazed Elizabth on it, and climbed up for the Amazing Press. A big splash from the tope rope on Elizabeth hanging limp over the barricade, would surely break her spine. Ref Rosenberg tried to stop Kong, but she wouldn't listen, and jumped. Elizabeth got away at the last split second, and Kong caught herself on the guardrail, surely breaking many ribs in the process!
Elizabeth then crawled over Kong to make the pin. Miss Elizabeth wins the battle of the top dogs in TNAW, but the brutality inflicted on both girls will surely make its mark on them for a long time - if not forever.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Miss Elizabeth defeated Awesome Kong via pinfall in 0:23:06. Rating: ** 3/4
Alissa Flash vs. Sara Del Rey w/Larry Sweeney in a Finisher's Match
Sara Del Rey defeated Flash with the Kudo Driver in the semi finals to the TNAW Maiden Title tournament. This is Flash's move, a move she learned and adapted early in her career, after an extended stay in Japan. There, she met legendary joshi wrestler Megumi Kudo, who invented this move. Del Rey's manager, superagent Larry Sweeney was not present tonight. Last night on StarStruck, Flash hit Sweeney with the Kudo Driver, putting him in the hospital for a couple of nights.
This was a solid match between two girls who know each other well. Alissa tried to return Sara's favor by hitting the Royal Butterfly (double-underhook into a powerslam), Sara's signature move, but the only way this match could end, was if one of them hit (and pinned) the other with the Kudo Driver. A couple of minutes after the 10-minute mark, Sara actually hit the dreaded move on Alissa, but she kicked out. Sara couldn't believe it! Flash fought back, determined to hang onto one of her dearest moves. And when she finally hit the Kudo Driver herself, Sara was done for the night. Sara (and anyone else) are now banned from using the Kudo Driver. Only Alissa may use the move.
[Finisher's Match]: Alissa Flash pinned Sara Del Rey after the Kudo Driver in 0:16:43. Rating: ** 1/2
Awesome Kong ruins the backstage area
Backstage, an Awesome Kong in pain pushes the medical assistants away from her, and goes on a rampage, tearing down paintings on the walls, toppling tables and shelves. A couple of security guards try to stop her, but they get hit by fists and headbutts. Finally, a doctor manages to inject her with a sedative. Kong slumps down on the floor, the bandage on her ribs partially torn apart.
Gail Kim w/Maria & Barbie Blank vs. Tara (c) for the TNAW World Title in a Ladder match
As we see the TNAW World Title being elevated above the ring, we knew that it's time for the main event. The Stamford Divas have done what they could in order to take the belt from Tara, going as far as to steal it at a recent meet and greet. Gail Kim had been told, in no uncertain terms, that this was her final attempt at the belt. She tore into Tara from the get-go, and the match turned into a brawling affair, until Tara hit a hotshot on Gail, and started going for a ladder.
A ladder is not only a tool, it can be a weapon as well. And Tara used it to both ram and slam Gail Kim with it. Kim, on the other hand, used the ladder steps as leverage as she tried to bend Tara's leg in unnatural angles. Even though the belt means everything to Tara, she still took the time to please her fans. Gail was prone on the mat after a powerslam, and Tara was halfway up the ladder, when Tara instead decided to hit Gail with a moonsault.
At about the 15-minute mark, both girls were climbing the ladder, and started slugging at each other on the top. Gail packs a mean punch, but Tara packs an even harder one, and knocked Gail off. Gail fell to the ground, even taking with her ref Mattano who had positioned herself a little too close to the ladder. Tara retrieved the belt, and was climbing down to a tremendous ovation, when the Garcia Twins and Alexis Laree hit the ring, pummeling Tara and putting the belt over Gail before escaping the ring. When ref Mattano woke up, she awarded the match to Gail!
Tara and the fans were shocked! How could this happen! Then, backup ref Steve Crabs, who have had a fling with Stamford Diva leader, Maria Kanellis, ran in and talked with ref Mattano, who then turned to the announcer and whispered something in her ear. Mattano had reversed the decision! Tara was STILL the TNAW World Champion! A final stab at the conniving Maria from her ex, Crabs. Before the Stamford Divas could turn their attention to Crabs and Tara - Christy, Sarita, Bolt, TBP, Alissa Flash and Hamada hit the ring, celebrating with Tara. The TNAW girls have all the belts now, but the next four StarStrucks belong to Maria. The landscape has, as the saying goes, changed here in TNAW. At least temporarily.
Ladder Match: Tara defeated Gail Kim in 0:17:52. Rating: *** 3/4 (Tara retained the TNAW World Title.) [Maria Kanellis, , Brianna Garcia, Nicole Garcia and Alexis Laree interfered against Tara.]
Card rating: ** 3/4
Match observations:
A Girls' Night Out is in the books. The Beautiful People are the new tag-team champions, and Tara and Hamada retained their belts. While this may be a great triumph for the TNAW Girls, ODB's betrayal of Christy in the elimination match was a downer, as Maria Kanellis now has control for ONE month. What deviousness can the Stamford Diva come up with?

Behind the Curtains
TNAW - behind the curtains
TV RATINGS: The ratings have been steady since My Bloody Valentine. 0.05 - 0.1. While not horrible, rumor has it that Dixie Carter had been expecting more. And the former WWE Divas are reportedly on a high salary, so if the numbers won't start to go up, there might be a roster change to "cheaper" Indy workers down the block.
PPV'S: TNAW's next PPV is called "Caged Fury", leading everyone to speculate that some sort of cage match will be involved. Dave Meltzer reports that My Bloody Valentine did 3000 buys, almost half of what Dave Prazak was hoping for.
WRESTLERS LEAVING/COMING IN: "Girl Dynamite" Jennifer Blake has signed for TNAW. Blake has been wrestling in Shimmer, Wrestlicious, Mexico and several promotions in Canada. The blonde is known for her finisher, The Dynamite Destroyer, an underhook version of Petey Williams' Canadian Destroyer. She will make her debut shortly.
Steve Crabs is done with the company. The most prominent referee in TNAW had a backstage altercation with ODB, and creative felt that Crabs were over exposed after his involvement in the Stamford Divas' storyline, and opted to let him go.
BACKSTAGE RUMORS:
Jillian needs knee surgery, and will be out until August, at least. That's the main reason for the title change, even though many feel that TBP deserves it for being with the Knockout Division for a long time, and being able to switch to face so easily and garner so much face pops in their matches.
Tara and Dave Prazak does not see eye-to-eye with booking. While these are unconfirmed rumors, Tara want more short jobber matches building up to the PPV's, while Prazak wants more competitive matches, also on TV. Both have a valid point, and the booking have been a little of both, wrestling pundits say. Still, Carter needs to make a decision on which direction she wants her company to go, as this unclear booking style may be the cause of the very low ratings.

TNAW StarStruck 10.04.10
Footage from A Girls' Night Out StarStruck opens with footage from A Girl's Night Out, and focuses on Tara's victory in the ladder match, Miss Elizabeth and Awesome Kong in their fierce StreetFight and, of course, the elimination match where ODB's betrayal led to Maria Kanellis being in control of StarStruck for the next month.
Stamford Divas reign of terror The Stamford Divas (minus Miss Elizabeth) comes out to a chorus of jeers from the fans in attendance. Maria takes the mic, and says that after the results from A Girl's Night Out, she is now in control, and she does not accept people booing her. After another storm of jeers dies down, Maria says that even if she is acting general manager, she is, unfortunately, bound by some rules set by owner Dixie Carter. She cannot fire or hire anyone, and champs do not have to defend their belts more than once per month. She also wants to point out that she is here to provide the best possible TV-experience, not for her own agenda. That being said, she announces Gail Kim and Katarina versus The Beautiful People for the tag-team belts, and Christy Hemme against Alexis Laree, in a no-DQ match!
Jennifer Blake vs. Traci Brooks
The young Canadian "Girl Dynamite" Jennifer Blake made her debut here today against Traci Brooks. Traci wanted to put the newcomer in her place early on, pulling her down by the hair for a one count. Blake proved to be a skilled competitor, whipping out a host of high-flying moves that stunned the crowd and dizzied Traci. Traci tried taking her out with some strikes and elbows, but Blake hit a clothesline and then the Dynamite Destroyer (Canadian Destroyer) for the three-count.
Jennifer Blake pinned Traci Brooks with the Dynamite Destroyer in 0:06:43. Rating: ** 1/2
Interview with ODB So Cal Val stands by with ODB, and naturally asks about what transpired at A Girls' Night Out. ODB said that while it pained her heart to betray her old friends, she found it necessary in order to right a wrong. She has never gotten the title shot that was rightfully hers, and Christy Hemme needs to go anyway for TNAW to become successful. She takes a sip from her hip flask, and goes out for her match.
ODB vs. Sojourner Bolt
Bolt was also part of the 8-woman elimination match from A Girls' Night Out, and wanted to exact some revenge on ODB. This was an exciting match, with ODB hitting several moves that normally should have put Bolt out of the match, but tonight, with the desire to get even with ODB, Sojourner found the extra energy needed to stay in the match. After miraculously kicking out of the Thesz Press, Bolt managed to counter a Gory Special into a sunset flip for a two count. A DDT yielded another close fall. Bolt whips ODB into the ropes, but misses a clothesline and get hits by the Thesz Press for the win. A very unpopular victory for ODB tonight.
ODB pinned Sojourner Bolt with the Flying Thesz Press in 0:07:54. Rating: **
Alexis Laree vs. Christy Hemme
Christy Hemme doesn't wrestle often, but under Maria Kanellis' control, it looks like she needs to strap on the boots more often. Alexis - who is the Stamford Divas' new "captain", and who will probably be their choice for a top contender - brought with her a huge entourage to this match, Maria, Barbie, The Garcia Twins and Melina. This was a farce of a match, with the Garcia Twins clubbing down Christy from the start. Alexis toys around with Christy before tossing her out, where Melina gives her a kick to the head. Back in the ring, Alexis gives her a spin kick for the 3-count. The crowd boos at the Divas as they exits the ring area. Christy is helped out by a couple of refs, completely out of it.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Alexis Laree pinned Christy Hemme after a spin kick in 0:04:36. Rating: 1/2* [Nicole Garcia interfered against Christy Hemme.]
Video of Miss Elizabeth We see video footage from Miss Elizabeth's apartment. She is laying on the couch, her ribs wrapped in bandages, a brace around her neck and a visible black eye. Elizabeth still smiles though, saying that every bruise, every black eye and every broken rib was worth it. Even though it put her out of action for a couple of weeks, she proved that she is the top dog in TNAW. And when she comes back, she expects Kong to be gone.
So Cal Val interviews TBP Backstage, Lacey von Erich is preparing Velvet and Madison for their tag-team title match. So Cal Val enters, and asks about the unprovoked attack from Miss Wrestling. Madison says that she was probably just jealous because she didn't win any belts at the PPV. Lacey says that she feels that beneath her mask, Miss Wrestling is probably a stunning woman, and that she should remove that mask and join them. Velvet says that she only wants for everyone to be friends. All four then joins in a group hug.
The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky) (c) w/Lacey von Erich vs. The Stamford Divas (Gail Kim & Katarina) w/Maria & Barbie Blank - TNAW Tag-Team Title Match
Main event time! Since Jillian needs knee surgery, and Alexis Laree is concentrating on singles action, the Stamford Divas have teamed up Katarina and Gail Kim.
Gail and Katarina may be better individual wrestlers, but The Beautiful People is a well-oiled machinery, and their double-team maneuvers gave them an early advantage. Gail Kim managed to prevent Velvet from tagging Madison, and Sky was isolated for a couple of minutes, before making the very hot tag to Madison, who hit Katarina with a missile dropkick and a bulldog for a two count. The ref was busy holding Gail Kim out of the ring, when Madison and Velvet hit the Makeover. The ref counted 1..2.. but Barbie Blank pulls Madison Rayne out of the ring. As the ref warns Barbie not to do this again, Miss Wrestling enters the ring from the crowd, hitting Rayne with a lung blower. Velvet charges the masked women, but gets kicked between the legs. The ref turns around, and sees Katarina hit the Kat Nap on Velvet to WIN the tag-team titles!
The Stamford Divas have possession of the tag-team titles again after an extremely short title reign by The Beautiful People.
Gail Kim And Katarina (Gail Kim and Katarina) defeated The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) when Katarina pinned Sky with the Kat Nap in 0:10:16. Rating: ** 3/4 (Gail Kim And Katarina won the TNAW Tag-Team Titles.)
Miss Wrestling continues attack The Stamford Divas leave the ring as champions, but Miss Wrestling is not finished. However, the numbers game catches up with her, as Madison Rayne and Lacey von Erich enters the ring and clobbers her from behind. Madison and Velvet are holding Miss Wrestling's arms behind her back as Lacey tries to remove the mask of this blonde, well-endowed woman. Suddenly, Jennifer Blake, the newcomer, runs into the ring with a chair, taking out Lacey's leg and hitting Madison over the head with it. Miss Wrestling low blows Velvet again, who cries out in pain. Miss Wrestling starts choking on Rayne, and Blake puts Von Erich in some sort of leglock. Security runs in, and Blake and Miss Wrestling retreats.
Card rating: **
Match observations: A dramatic start to Maria's month as GM here on StarStruck. Christy Hemme gets beaten down in an extremely unfair No DQ-match, and Gail Kim and Katarina are the NEW Tag Team Champions, not without help, but surprisingly enough, the Stamford Divas were not behind this. Or are they.. ? Tune in to StarStruck next week to find out!

TNAW StarStruck - 17.04.10
LuFisto vs. Sara Del Rey
StarStruck opened with a bang, as Sara Del Rey faced LuFisto. Both these girls need to get back on the winning track after losing their PPV match two weeks back, and these two girls didn't pull any stops against each other, trying to knock each other silly with hard forearms and vicious kicks. LuFisto tried to hit her painful backfist on LuFisto, but when she whipped Death Ray into the ropes, super agent Larry Sweeney caught hold of Sara, stopping her momentum. Sara charged LuFisto, knocking her off her feet. When the Canadian got back up on her feet, Sara caught her in the Royal Butterfly hold, and powerslammed her for the win.
Sara Del Rey pinned LuFisto with the Royal Butterfly in 0:07:40. Rating: ** 1/2
Flash crosses Maria and Barbie In the back, Maria Kanellis and Barbie Blank walks into Alissa Flash's locker room. They start kissing up to her, complimenting her on her looks, her talent and her win against Del Rey at A Girl's Night Out. Flash asks them what they want, and Barbie says that with Jillian's injury, they are in need of a new Diva. Alissa simply says 'no thanks', and walks out. Maria walks after her, telling her that she will regret turning her down, and asks her once again. Alissa says she's not interested in becoming a diva, and walks away.
Christy Hemme vs. Gail Kim - No DQ Match
It's time for YOUR weekly "Christy Hemme gets beat up" match, and tonight, her opponent was Gail Kim. Christy was attacked already on the outside by Barbie and Maria, and then Gail jumped on top of them with a plancha. Christy actually managed to inflict some damage on Gail, reversing a whip and sending Gail into the guardrail. Fighting Barbie and Maria in addition, was of course not an easy task, and Gail finished her off with an Air Raid Crash. After the match, Maria told Christy to look forward to next week, as Miss Elizabeth would be returning then!
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Gail Kim pinned Christy Hemme after the Air Raid Crash in 0:06:23. Rating: * 1/2 [Maria Kanellis and Barbie Blank interfered against Christy Hemme.]
The Garcia Twins & Melina vs. Alissa Flash - Handicap match
As Alissa Flash went out for her match against Melina, Maria Kanellis walked out and told Alissa that since Alissa had proved to be such a great performer, this wasn't enough for her. Maria then introduced the Garcia Twins, and made this a 3 against 1 handicap match! Prazak and Lauren on commentary expressess disgust with Maria's treatment of StarStruck, calling it a farce. Flash put up a brave effort, hitting all three with consecutive clotheslines, but she was quickly put down by a clubbing axehandle from Melina. After reversing an irish whip, she sent one Garcia Twin into the other, hard in the corner, and Melina and Alissa squared off against each other. Alissa almost had the win after a back elbow, but then the Garcia twins stereo dropkicked her in the back, setting up the It Came From Nowhere from Melina. After the match, the threesome stomped on Alissa for a while, before Maria entered the ring, spitting on Alissa.
This is obviously what'll happen if you cross Maria this month!
Handicap-Match: The Stamford Divas (Brianna Garcia, Melina and Nicole Garcia) defeated Alissa Flash when Melina pinned A. Flash with the It Came From Nowhere in 0:08:04. Rating: * 1/2
The Blonde Boombers (Miss Wrestling & Jennifer Blake) vs. Traci Brooks & Sarita
"Girl Dynamite" Jennifer Blake debuted last week, and promptly made an alliance with the mysterious Miss Wrestling. This week, they teamed up as the brand NEW tag team, The Blonde Bombers! Miss Wrestling has found a great partner in Blake, as she went toe to toe with Sarita in the opening minutes, hitting Sarita with a lung blower for a two count. Traci hasn't achived much so far in TNAW, but really wanted a win tonight, hitting Miss Wrestling with a spear for a near fall. Still, in this exciting tag bout, it was Traci who ate the pin when she couldn't wriggle free of an Oklahoma Side Roll from Jennifer Blake. This is the second time in two weeks Blake pins Brooks.
The Blonde Bombers (Miss Wrestling and Jennifer Blake) defeated Traci Brooks and Sarita when J. Blake pinned Traci after an Oklahoma side roll in 0:08:51. Rating: ** 3/4
The Beautiful People meet an old friend The Beautiful People are wearing matching purple dresses as they discuss the Blonde Bombers and why they attacked them last week. Velvet shouts in glee as their old friend, Angelina Love, comes into their locker room! The Beautiful People jump around and giggles merrily as they all hug the returning Angelina. They express extreme happiness to see Angelina, and asks why she is all sweaty and wet. Angelina says she just had a small workout. They then talk about the Blonde Bombers and Miss Wrestling, and Angelina promises to help them fight off this masked maniac.
Awesome Kong video We see video footage from a doctor's office, where Awesome Kong are being treated by a physician. The doctor tells her that her ribs are healing, but that she needs to stay away from StarStruck another two weeks. Awesome Kong says that will not happen, as she has a score to settle with Miss Elizabeth. The doctor tells her that he has been hired by Maria Kanellis to make sure none of her athletes are in any danger when they wrestle. Kong grabs the doctor, slamming him against the wall and telling him in no uncertain means that she would show up wherever she wanted, whenever she wanted.
Hamada (c) vs. Nattie Neidhart - TNAW Maiden Title
The main event tonight was a Maiden Title Match between Hamada and Nattie Neidhart. Hamada takes on all comers, and with Maria behind the wheel, putting one of her own in the title match made sense.
While Hamada tried to use speed and agility in her title defense, Nattie Neidhart tried to slow down the pace as often as possible, and with Barbie on the outside, she had an ally up her sleeve. After dominating the champ for several minutes, Hamada countered a suplex attempt with a backdrop, following up with an enzuigiri and a lariat. Now followed an insane sequence of power moves. Top-rope frankensteiner, power bomb and Hamada driver from Hamada, german suplex, neckbreaker and yakuza kick from Nattie. The crowd was going crazy, but after another top-rope frankensteiner from Hamada. The Japanese hit the Canadian with a sick flying double foot stomp to retain, in one of TNAW's best matches ever!
Hamada pinned Nattie Neidhart after a flying double foot stomp in 0:13:42. Rating: **** 1/4 (Hamada retained the TNAW Maiden Title.)
Card rating: ***
Match observations: The biggest surprise tonight must have been the returning Angelina Love! Can she help her old friends, The Beautiful People, against the Blonde Bombers? Also, Maria continues playing it as dirty as she possibly can, booking her enemies in impossibly situations. And Nattie Neidhart and Hamada put on what has already been lauded as the best women's matches in North America - ever!

Thanks man. I guess you can consider it a flaw, but I actually belive the Miss Elizabeth/Kong and the Beautiful People/Miss Wrestling angles are more interesting than the invasion...
Yeah, I'm trying to build some sympathy for Christy. Unfortunately, TNM doesn't like her, and she now has a heat of 3.

TNAW StarStruck - 24.04.10
Maria preparing for the worst In the back, Maria and Barbie are posting guards at every entrance, giving strict orders to not let Awesome Kong in. Maria threatens the guards with unemployment, physical abuse and dismemberment if they let Awesome Kong into the building.
ODB comes over to Maria and Barbie and asks about her title opportunity. Maria says that she will address the title picture later tonight, and tells ODB that she will receive a title shot next week.
So Cal Val Interviews Tara So Cal Val interviews Tara, who has been absent since A Girls' Night Out. Tara says that she was given the nights off by Maria, but now she was back and ready to defend her title with every breath in her body. She said that she knew The Stamford Divas were up to something, she just didn't know what. She told So Cal Val that she didn't fear any challengers, but that she only needed to defend her belt once a month, a contract clause she would not hesitate to use as long as the Stamford Divas were in control.
Sarita & Sojourner Bolt vs The Blonde Bombers (Miss Wrestling & Jennifer Blake
The Blonde Bombers are making an impact here on StarStruck, and even if Miss Wrestling and "Girl Dynamite" haven't tagged together for that long (or have they? We don't know who Miss Wrestling is, do we?), they appear to be a well-oiled machinery. Halfway through the match, Sarita backdropped Miss Wrestling to the outside, causing her to hit her arm on the apron. She favored that arm for the rest of the match, and Blake picked up the win with a surprise small package on Bolt out of nowhere.
Traci distracting guards Traci, wearing a really tight and short sweater, is running around hysterically at the front entrance, causing a scene. She tells the security guards that she brought with her her 8-year old niece, Tiffany, to the StarStruck zone, but that she has disappeared! Traci is afraid that Tiffany may hurt herself, and begs the security guards to help her search. Six guards run along with Traci, leaving only two guards at the entrance. The camera zooms through the windows, and we see a rather huge person hiding behind a corner, long, black dreads covering her face...
Christy Hemme vs. Miss Elizabeth w/Maria Kanellis
In YOUR weekely "Christy Hemme gets beat up"-match, Maria Kanellis pitted the returning Miss Elizabeth against the unfortunate GM-on-leave. Elizabeth wasted no time punishing Hemme, but took her time doing it. She hoisted Hemme up with a Gorilla Press, walking around the ring and showing off her strength before dropping her unceremoniously to the ground. As the previous matches in this series, it was no-DQ and no-countout. In this match, however, Maria let Elizabeth do all the work by herself. She went for the cover several times, but lifted Christy's shoulders up from the mat at two. The match wasn't over before Maria wanted it to.
The screen was suddenly split in two, as we see Barbie Blank rushings to the front entrance, where the two guards lay motionless on the ground. Back in the ring, Awesome Kong rushes to the ring with a chair, shoving Maria Kanellis to the ground as she smashed Miss Elizabeth in the head. She entered the ring, and blasted Miss Elizabeth with it three more times. Several Stamford Divas rushed to the ring, but Kong held them at bay with the chair and her sheer physical presence. Christy crawled over Elizabeth and made the pin, defeating her in a huge upset!
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Christy Hemme pinned Miss Elizabeth after a schoolgirl roll up in 0:05:34. Rating: 1/2* [Awesome Kong interfered against Miss Elizabeth.]
As we go to commercial, we see security escort Awesome Kong out of the StarStruck zone in cuffs, a huge grin on her face.
The Beautiful People and Angelina Love The Beautiful People are preparing for their re-match against Gail Kim and Katarina, when Angelina Love walks in, clutching her arm. Velvet is concerned about Angelina's arm, and kisses it to make the pain go away. Madison asks what happened to her arm, and Angelina says it got stuck in a drawer. She wants TBP to know that she will stay ringside as a security measure, in case the Stamford Divas or that heinous Miss Wrestling decides to interfere. TBP thanks her for her devotion, and they group hug.
Parking Lot Brawl We see Awesome Kong being loaded into a security truck, when Miss Elizabeth out of nowhere starts blasting the guards with a bat. Kong is in cuffs, she is totally helpless! As Miss Elizabeth is about to smash Kong, Kong headbutts Elizabeth between the eyes. More security rushes to, as Kong laughs maniacially, and Miss Elizabeth clutches at her bloody forehead as guards put her in cuffs as well. The head of security calls in reinforcements, saying that he needs an extra car. These two should not be in the vicinity of each other!
The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky) w/Lacey von Erich vs. The Stamford Divas (Gail Kim & Katarina) w/Maria Kanellis & Barbie Blank for the TNAW Tag Team Titles
The main event tonight was the re-match for the TNAW Tag Team Championship. The Beautiful People had both Lacey von Erich and Angelina Love ringside, which was more than enough to keep Maria Kanellis and Barbie Blank away from their cheating ways.
The Beautiful People controlled Katarina in the opening minutes of the match, until Gail Kim managed to steal a tag and hit Velvet with a cross body. The match went back and forth for a few minutes, before Jennifer Blake made her way down to ringside, sliding a chair into the ring just as TBP hit the Makeover on Gail Kim. Ref Mattano took her time getting the chair out of the ring, and Gail Kim got her shoulder up. Love chased the Blonde Bomber to the back, but where could Miss Wrestling be?
Just after the 10-minute mark, Miss Wrestling came running down the ramp. She was clutching her arm from her own match, but was still able to pull Madison down from the apron, sending her into the guardrail. Lacey von Erich came over, but was met with a boot to the face. She then exited the StarStruck zone. Sky put up a brave effort against Kim and Katarina, but fell to the Eat Defeat from Gail Kim.
Gail Kim And Katarina (Gail Kim and Katarina) defeated The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) when Gail pinned Sky with the Eat Defeat in 0:12:45. Rating: *** 1/2 (Gail Kim And Katarina retained the TNAW Tag-Team Titles.) [Jennifer Blake interfered against Velvet Sky.]
As TBP try to get back on their feet, Angelina Love comes running down to the ring, saying she's sorry for not being there, but she was fighting Jennifer Blake in the back. TBP tells her it's not her fault, and they all group hug in the middle of the ring.
The Divas want Tara in the ring Tara enters the ring and tells the crowd that she was told to get in the ring, so that Maria could present her challenger for next StarStruck. The Stamford Divas music plays, and out comes Maria and Barbie, Alexis Laree, Melina, Katarina and Gail Kim, the Garcia Twins and even ODB.
Maria says that she has been thinking really hard on how she would play this. She couldn't have had Tara defend her title in a handicap match, and a 3-way, 4-way, 6-way or even a battle royal would force her girls to fight each other, which isn't something she really wanted to do. And then there's ODB... whom she promised a title shot to. She says she has come up with a solution. Next week, Tara will defend her title against ODB! And Melina! And Katarina! And Alexis Laree! And if that isn't enough, maybe against The Garcia Twins and Nattie Neidhart too! She will defend her belt in a Gauntlet Match, where Tara will be the first to enter! The Gauntlet match will start 30 minutes before the end of StarStruck, so if she can stay alive in 30 minutes against all those opponents, she will still be the champion.
The crowd boo Maria heavily, and the boos intensifies as the Divas attack the ring from all sides. Tara fights them off valiantly, but as StarStruck goes dark, we see a jumbled mass kicking and stomping at the champ.
Card rating: ** 1/4
Match observations: Awesome Kong is back! And it looks like the score is far from settled with Miss Elizabeth. With a little help from Traci Brooks, Christy and Kong managed to give Elizabeth and Maria an embarrassing loss.
But Maria might have Tara defeated now. How can Tara keep the belt in a Gauntlet match where she will be the first entrant? Who will be our new champ? Laree? Melina? ODB?
And Miss Wrestling and Jennifer Blake are really screwing TBP over, even with Angelina Love to help them. Who is she? And why does she hate TBP so much?
The answer to all these questions: Watch next StarStruck!

TNAW StarStruck - 01.05.2010
LuFisto vs. Daffney
We haven't seen a lot of neither Daffney or LuFisto as of late, but tonight, they were given the chance to shine in our opening contest. Daffney tried to choke the energy out of Lufisto, and succeeded for a couple of minutes, before LuFisto got pumped up by the crowd cheering her on, dropping her with the Burning Hammer to get back on the winning track.
LuFisto pinned Daffney with the Burning Hammer in 0:04:28. Rating: * 1/4
So Cal Val interviews The Blonde Bombers So Cal Val stands by with The Blonde Bombers. She congratulates them on making an impressive debut here in TNAW, as a team, but is more interesting in knowing why they have targetted the Beautiful People. Blake does the talking, as Miss Wrestling remains silent. Blake says that she's only here for the ride and the opportunity given her by her fellow Canadian national. Miss Wrestling wants revenge on the Beautiful People, and Jen Blake is here to help her. Blake tells Madison, Velvet and Lacey to watch out, their lives are about to go to hell.
Awesome Kong vs The Garcia Twins (Brianna Garcia and Nicole Garcia) w/Barbie Blank
Maria did what she could to put Awesome Kong in a difficult position, but pitting her against the Garcia Twins looked more like some sort of internal punishment for something Brianna and Nicole had done, than it did trying to take out Awesome Kong. With Miss Elizabeth out for the week with a mild concussion following their altercation last week, Maria didn't dare send anyone involved in the Gauntlet Match down to interfere.
As a result, Awesome Kong had a field day with the twins, punishing them thoroughly (even pulling Barbie Blank into the ring and Gorilla pressing her), before putting Nicole out of her misery with the Awesome Bomb. Brianna could have broken the pin, but a quick look on her face revealed her thoughts - just let her win and the pain will stop.
Handicap-Match: Awesome Kong defeated The Garcia Twins (Brianna Garcia and Nicole Garcia) when Kong pinned Nicole Garcia with the Awesome Bomb in 0:04:35. Rating: * 3/4
Awesome Kong challenges Elizabeth Awesome Kong took the mic and challenged Miss Elizabeth to come out. Nobody came, so Kong said she had all night. Maria Kanellis came out and asked Kong to leave the ring, so that the show could continue. Kong said that she wouldn't leave until Miss Elizabeth came out and accepted her challenge for a final match for Caged Fury. Maria said that she could, and would, accept any such challenge on behalf for Miss Elizabeth, if she could just get out of the ring so that the Gauntlet Match could begin. Kong told Maria she wanted Elizabeth in a Last Woman's Standing Match at Caged Fury. Maria said "whatever", and Kong left - satisfied. The question is: will Miss Elizabeth be as satisfied when she finds out what's in store for her?
Sweeney and Brooks backstage Backstage, superagent Larry Sweeney are talking with Traci Brooks. Sweeney tells Brooks that what she needs, is a guy like him. A guy who can get her the matches she needs to build momentum, and to earn the dough she deserves. A superagent like him. Traci is considering it, when Sweeney starts mentioning something completely different, telling Brooks that if she needs someone to "talk to" if she gets tired of her cheating husband, he can also be there for her. He is more of "hands-on" kind of agent he says, motioning with his hands in front of Traci's... eh.. front. Traci scoffs, tells Sweeney to "hands-OFF!", and leaves. Sweeney says she'll forever be a loser.
Gauntlet Match for the TNAW World Title - Tara needs to survive the remaining television time
Tara vs. ODB
In our first Gauntlet Match, it was ODB against Tara. ODB received this title shot by betraying Team Christy at A Girls' Night Out. Now, ODB was not happy by being given the first match in a long series of Gauntlet Matches, and made herself perfectly clear to Maria and Barbie at ringside. Melina, Katarina and Alexis, who were also ringside, punished her mercilessly, before sending her into the ring.
Even though she shouldn't have, Tara allowed ODB to get her bearings before starting the match. ODB were close on a couple of occasions, but as Barbie Blank mentioned (joining Dave and Lauren at commentary), ODB would NEVER leave the StarStruck-zone as TNAW Champion. This was just a loop hole to satisfy ODB's lawyers.
Tara picks up the win with the Widows' Peak. On her way out, ODB was attacked by Sarita, who hasn't forgotten that ODB smashed a hip flask over her head at A Girls' Night Out. The two girls brawled out of the StarStruck zone.
Tara pinned ODB with the Widow's Peak in 0:07:18. Rating: *** 1/4 (Tara retained the TNAW World Title.)
Tara vs. Melina w/Barbie Blank & Maria Kanellis
Next up was Melina, who didn't give Tara any rest period at all, attacking with kicks and punches from before the bell rang. Tara tried to finish this one as quickly as possible, hitting Melina with slams and suplexes, before hitting a moonsault to advance in the Gauntlet.
Tara pinned Melina after a moonsault in 0:03:56. Rating: ** (Tara retained the TNAW World Title.)
Tara vs. Katarina w/Barbie Blank & Maria Kanellis
With Katarina - Tara's third opponent - she adopted a new strategy. Her superb cardio and perfect physique allowed her to offset the freshness factor after a few minutes, using restholds to punish Katarina while at the same time recovering herself. She hit another moonsault after 5 minutes, and one-half of the tag-team champions seemed to be out of it. But Tara didn't go for the pin. Instead, she took her time punishing Katarina with a punch or a kick here, and a bodyslam or sideslam there. Suddenly, Maria realized what Tara was doing - she was buying herself time! She needed to survive the broadcast, she didn't need to defeat Katarina or anyone else coming after her!
Maria ran in and kicked ref Bryce Remsburg in his leg, causing the instant dq before she barely escaped Tara on her way out.
Tara defeated Katarina by disqualification in 0:09:42. Rating: ** (Tara retained the TNAW World Title.) [Barbie Blank and Maria Kanellis interfered against Tara.]
Tara vs. Alexis Laree
With 10 minutes to go on StarStruck, Maria had no choice but to send in Alexis Laree. Tara had went through three opponents by now, surely, Alexis had to get the job done. She was surprised though, as Tara charged her immediately, hitting her with kicks and stomps before powerbombing her to the ground. This took out a lot of Tara, though, who made a sloppy cover for the 2-count. The outside was no friendly territory for Tara, but she took her eyes off of Laree for too long, and was tossed to the outside. While Alexis took care of ref Mattano, Barbie, Maria, Katarina and Melina took care of Tara.
The rest of this match saw Alexis Laree do anything in her power to pin Tara to the ground for the 3 required seconds. She even hit the Laree-DT, but Tara's will to survive was too great. She was not able to mount any offensive on her own, though, and we don't quite know what happened, because the screen suddenly turned black, as SpikeTV went to commercial, Maria Kanellis screaming to keep the show rolling.
Alexis Laree and Tara battled to a time limit draw in 0:10:00. Rating: *** (Tara retained the TNAW World Title.)
Card rating: ** 1/2
Tara survives the Gauntlet Match in spectacular fashion! Even if Alexis was able to pin Tara eventually (which we'll never know), the stipulation was that Tara would keep the belt if she survived the opponents sent her way during the StarStruck show itself.
Let's take a look at the Caged Fury PPV. It's only two weeks away, but we have only TWO signed matches so far. The Blonde Bombers will face The Beautiful People. Whether or not we know Miss Wrestling's identity by then, or not, remains to be seen. And of course, Awesome Kong will square off with Miss Elizabeth again, this time in a Last Woman Standing Match!
Catch StarStruck next week, as Madison Rayne takes on Jennifer Blake, Sarita wants revenge on ODB and Larry Sweeneys client, Sara Del Rey, faces Traci Brooks. This and more!

TNAW StarStruck - 08.05.2010
Backstage brawl Backstage, Dixie Carter is leading a potential sponsor around the grounds, trying to persuade him to sign a huge sponsoring contract for TNAW. She is really trying to impress him, and lets him know that how professionally run this business this is. As they pass a doorway, the Garcia Twins, Sarita and Bolt come crashing through, brawling wildly. Dixie leads the sponsor down another way, but is blocked by Melina and Nattie giving it to Hamada and LuFisto. They try to move through a kitchen, but that kitchen is in the process of being wrecked in a violent clash between Kong and Miss Elizabeth. "This place is worse than Baghdad," the sponsor yells and narrowly escapes a flying frying pan as he runs out of the StarStruck-zone.
Sara Del Rey w/Larry Sweeney vs. Traci Brooks
Traci refused Larry Sweeney's advances against her last week, both professional and private, and as a result, Larry Sweeney got her booked in a match against Sara Del Rey. Sara hasn't been seen a lot around here since losing the Finisher Match against Alissa Flash on A Girls' Night Out, but wasted no time giving it hard to Traci. Traci made a couple of small comebacks, but was stopped short by the strength and fitness of Sara. After a couple of minutes, the StarStruck-zone was graced by the presence of Frankie Kazarian, who came down and started jawing with Larry Sweeney, presumably due to Sweeney bringing up the bogus infidelity rumors about Kazarian and a porn star. When Sweeney started to move away, apparently not interested to talk with Kazarian, the TNA star grabbed him by his tie and started threatening him. Sara Del Rey lost focus on Traci for a minute, yelling at Kazarian to let go of her manager, or ELSE! Traci used this distraction to roll up Sara for the upset win! When Kazarian turned around to cheer for his wife's win, Larry Sweeney low-blowed him and sent him face first into the ringpost.
Traci Brooks pinned Sara Del Rey after a schoolgirl roll up in 0:04:44. Rating: ** [Larry Sweeney interfered against Traci Brooks.]
Dixie on the rampage Dixie Carter walks to the ring, flanked by security. Dixie orders Maria and Christy to come out, and if anything happens to either of them, heads will roll. Christy and Maria comes out, but keep a distance to each other. Dixie congratulates Maria on reaching even higher lows rating-wise, and congratulates both of them on losing her a major sponsor tonight. They try to protest, but she cuts them off, telling them that they are here to listen, not talk. Dixie says that she's extremely sick and tired of their bickering which is about to cost them their TV-spot. This needs to end, and it needs to end at Caged Fury. At Caged Fury, May 16th, TNA Women goes old school, as the main event will be an old-fashioned War Games Match! Christy picks a team of five, Maria picks a team of five. This time, the GM post is permanent, and the GM's can fire and hire whoever they will. The future of the entire TNAW hang in the balance!
ODB vs. Sarita
Sarita didn't take ODB's betrayal at A Girls' Night Out lightly, especially not since it was her that took a shot in the back of her head from ODB's hip flask. That ODB was partially double crossed by Maria and Barbie Blank, didn't matter for the Mexican knockout.
Sarita controlled this match from the get-go, to a great ovation from the crowd, who wants nothing more than to see ODB fail. ODB turned the tides after raking Sarita's eyes, hitting a powerslam for a two-count. She went for the Thesz Press as well, but Sarita ducked and ODB hit the ground hard. Sarita had this match where she wanted it, when ODB retrieved another hip flask, smashing it over Sarita's face, causing the DQ. ODB stomped away on Sarita, shouting that she deserves another title shot.
Sarita defeated ODB by disqualification in 0:07:33. Rating: * 1/2
Jennifer Blake vs. Madison Rayne w/Velvet Sky, Angelina Love & Lacey von Erich
Madison Rayne went to battle against Jennifer Blake tonight, Velvet Sky, Lacey von Erich and Angelina Love on the outside. The deck was stacked against Blake tonight, as Miss Wrestling was nowhere to be seen.
This was a back-and-forth match for a couple of minutes, until Angelina Love suddenly started noticing something under the ring. Could it be that Miss Wrestling was hiding there? Lacey screamed in fear and jumped in the lap of Dave Prazak, but Angelina Love climbed under the ring to root her out! We heard some ruckus beneath the ring, but out came Miss Wrestling, her mask loosely tied on her blonde head. She started brawling with Velvet, smashing her head into the announce table. This was enough distraction for Jennifer Blake, who gave Madison a kick to the midsection and the Dynamite Destroyer for the win. Miss Wrestling ducked beneath the ring again, as TNAW went to commercial.
Jennifer Blake pinned Madison Rayne with the Dynamite Destroyer in 0:07:33. Rating: *** [Miss Wrestling interfered against Madison Rayne.]
Maria and Alexis interview So Cal Val is standing by with Maria Kanellis and Alexis Laree. Maria says that last week, after StarStruck ended, Laree pinned Tara with the Laree-DT. Now, according to the match stipulation, that wasn't a valid win, so Tara escaped by the neck of her hair. Now, at Caged Fury, she won't be so fortunate, as Maria would do anything to get Tara back in the ring against Laree. Tara suddenly appears in the interview zone. She tells Maria that she doesn't need to steal her spider, her belt or do anything else. She is sick of this tactic. She would be happy to defend her belt against Alexis. BUT.. to make sure this will be a fair fight.. and since there already will be a cage present, why not make this a cage fight? Maria accepts.
TBP frustrated Backstage, Lacey is in tears as the doctors check on Velvet Sky. Angelina Love enters, and tells them that Miss Wrestling escaped down a hidden trapdoor beneath the ring. Madison says it's not her fault, and that they're glad she is back and on their side. When she turns to leave, something falls out of her back pocket. Lacey picks it up - it's Miss Wrestling's mask! Lacey, Velvet and Madison look at each other - then at Angelina Love (who is biting her lip and is really nervous). Lacey: "Do you think what I'm thinking?" she asks the other two. Madison and Velvet nods and looks at Angelina. Angelina: "Hey, listen now.." Madison and Velvet: "You took her mask?! Now she cannot show herself without everybody knowing who she is!" Everybody thanks Angelina and gives her a group hug.
LuFisto, Alissa Flash & Hamada w/Christy Hemme vs. The Stamford Divas (Gail Kim, Katarina & Melina) w/Maria Kanellis & Barbie Blank
Big 6-woman tag-match to main event this StarStruck. If this is a sign of things to come, everybody and their grandmother should buy this PPV. This was an action-filled bout with no shenanigans what-so-ever. Suplexes from LuFisto, great technical action from Flash, high-flying from Gail Kim and Hamada and crisp kicks from Katarina. Ref Rosenberg did not manage to keep control of this chaotic ruckus, and the final minutes saw Flash hit the Air Raid Crash on Katarina, Melina hitting It Came From Nowhere on Alissa, Hamada hitting the Hamada Driver on Melina, Gail Kim hitting Eat Defeat on Hamada before LuFisto hit the Burning Hammer on Kim. Everybody was lying prone in or outside the ring, and LuFisto just needed to make some sort of cover, as she was the legal woman. As she went for the legal woman on the other team, Katarina, she was surprised by Katarina playing possum, who hit the Kat Nap for the win.
The Stamford Divas (Gail Kim, Katarina and Melina) defeated LuFisto, Alissa Flash and Hamada when Katarina pinned LuFisto with the Kat Nap in 0:13:30. Rating: *** 1/2
Card rating: ***
The war, invasion if you want, will end in just 8 days, when Team Christy and the Stamford Divas face each other in a War Games Match! The Blonde Bombers will face The Beautiful People, but the question everybody wants to know, WHEN will TBP realize who Miss Wrestling is? Miss Elizabeth and Awesome Kong will do battle in a Last Woman Standing match, and this WILL be their last match for now. ODB and Sarita will settle their score. Traci Brooks and Sara Del Rey have been booked for a re-match. And of course, Alexis Laree will challenge for the title in a cage match!
Caged Fury, in 8 days!
Next week, Dave Prazak will lead us through a documentary of women's wrestling history. This is something that should have been on National Geographic, but you'll get it here on Spike TV!

Sorry :-) When I realized everyone would know who Miss Wrestling was (after she attacked TBP), I tried a mystery angle where anyone knew who the mystery person was, EXCEPT those that were attacked. Couldn't have work with any other trio though

TNAW StarStruck - 15.05.10
Alissa Flash vs Melina
Flashy opening match (pun intended) between two of the participants in tomorrows War Games Match. Melina used her gymnastic background to catch Alissa unaware with her handspring elbow for a two count. Alissa built momentum throughout the match, picking up a near fall after an Air Raid Clash. A distraction by Barbie Blank let Melina almost get the fall with a crucifix, but Alissa, who was put in a 3 against 1 handicap match back on April 17 when Maria was controlling StarStruck, fought back, caught Melina in a stomachbreaker and delivered a gruelling curb stomp to get the fall. As Maria and Melina walked out of the ring, Melina was almost crying, certain her face was ruined.
Alissa Flash pinned Melina after the Curb Stomp in 0:06:47. Rating: ** 1/2
Interview with TBP, Love and Kong The Beautiful People were preparing for their match with the Blonde Bombers, when Angelina Love came in and offered to take one of the spots in the match. She said she was dying to get back in the ring, and that she wanted to make Miss Wrestling and Jennifer Blake pay. Velvet and Madison thought a little about it, and then decided that Angelina could take Velvet's place. Angelina walks to the girl's room, when Awesome Kong enters. TBP are visibly nervous, even though they are on the same team in the invasion. Kong asks them if they really don't know who Miss Wrestling is. They say that they cannot know that, she wears a mask! Awesome Kong shakes her head in disbelief and walks back out.
Women's Wrestling documentary A lengthy (15 minutes) documentary airs about the history of women's wrestling. It goes so far back as the turn of the century with Cora Livingstone, moving up to the 30s and 50s big stars - Mildred Burke and June Byers. The documentary showed a lot of old footage from the likes of The Fabulous Moolah and Rita Cortez. TNAW have not the rights to any WWE/WWF shows, of course, but Wendi Richter, who was at one point almost as popular as Hulk Hogan in WWF (due to Cyndi Lauper, but still) was mentioned. It also mentioned the GLOW project, and touched briefly upon the Japanese and Mexican scene. It ended/concluded with the fact that women's wrestling was really thriving and on the rise in North America.
Alexis Laree vs. Daffney
Alexis Laree appears to be ready for Tara tomorrow, defeating Daffney in just a couple of minutes with the Laree-DT.
Alexis Laree pinned Daffney with the Laree-DT in 0:02:31. Rating: ** 1/4
The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne & Angelina Love) w/Lacey von Erich & Velvet Sky vs. The Blonde Bombers (Miss Wrestling & Jennifer Blake
At the onset of this match, Miss Wrestling where nowhere to be seen! Jennifer Blake had to wrestle on her own, and no explanation were given to this. Madison quickly took control of Blake, hitting a rana to awe the crowd. Angelina was tagged in after a couple of minutes, putting Blake in a submission hold. Blake fought out and tossed Angelina to the outside. Rayne ran into the ring and attacked Blake, and Angelina was nowhere to be seen - until Miss Wrestling suddenly appeared from under the ring! Miss Wrestling tore into Madison Rayne (and Velvet Sky, who also entered the ring), before putting the Choke Sleeper on Rayne to win the match. Where did Angelina Love go??
The Blonde Bombers (Miss Wrestling and Jennifer Blake) defeated The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Angelina Love) when Wrestling made M. Rayne submit to the Choke Sleeper in 0:12:20. Rating: *** 1/2
Miss Wrestling is revealed (to all) After the match, Velvet and Lacey try to get some life back in Madison, as Jennifer Blake and Miss Wrestling look at them in disgust. Blake is given a microphone, and she tells The Beautiful People that they really are as stupid and blonde as Miss Wrestling said they would be. Miss Wrestling then pulls off her mask, revealing herself to be none other than Angelina Love! The Beautiful People looked as shocked and surprised as a 6-year old who discovers that Santa Claus really is Uncle Bob. Angelina tells The Beautiful People that when she was let go due to VISA issues last fall, they never called her, they never sent her a text or contacted her in any ways. She was the one who created the Beautiful People and brought them together in TNA, and when she needed them most, they were too busy running TBP by themselves and bringing in a halfwit from a cursed wrestling family. So she vowed to come back and make their lives miserable, costing them their tag-team titles and making them look more stupid than ever. Angelina says that the crowd doesn't cheer them because they love them, they cheer them because they pity them. Angelina then challenges them to a match on Caged Fury.
PPV Rundown A video package runs, highlighting all the matches for tomorrow's PPV.
We see ODB betraying Team Hemme at A Girls' Night out, leading to ODB vs. Sarita.
A recap of Sweeney low-blowing Frankie Kazarian last week airs, and we are told that they will now meet tomorrow! And that Sara Del Rey and Traci Brooks will have a rematch.
We see a highlight video of the Miss Elizabeth vs. Awesome Kong feud, hyping their Last Woman Standing match.
We see clips from just a few minutes ago, and hear that The Beautiful People have accepted the challenge, and will face Angelina Love and Jennifer Blake!
The new crown princess of the Stamford Divas, Alexis Laree, supposedly beat Tara after StarStruck went off air a couple of weeks ago in the Gauntlet Match. Tomorrow, they will do battle in a cage match at Caged Fury.
We end the video with a summary of the Invasion, and that everything will be settled - for good - in tomorrow night's War Games Match - pitting The Nicole Garcia, Nattie Neidhart, the TNAW Tag Team Champions Katarina and Gail Kim & Melina - against Christy Hemme, ALissa Flash, Sojourner Bolt, LuFisto & TNAW Maiden Champion Hamada.
This PPV WILL change the landscape of TNAW. Forever.

TNAW Caged Fury - 16.05.2010
ODB vs. Sarita
Caged Fury opened with a grudge match from the events that took place at A Girls' Night Out, when ODB smashed a beer bottle in the back of Sarita's head and betrayed Team Hemme. While Christy certainly would've wanted the Mexican superstar on her team in tonight's War Games match, it surely pleased her heart to see Sarita punish ODB in this match. ODB seemed completely taken by surprise by Sarita's speed and technical prowess (or drunk or hung over, you never know), and while she had a few minutes of powerful offense, it was no stopping the senorita, who locked ODB in a chickenwing, causing ODB to tap out almost immediately.
Sarita made ODB submit to a double chickenwing submission in 0:08:15. Rating: *** 3/4
Sara Del Rey w/Larry Sweeney vs Traci Brooks
Traci Brooks shocked Larry Sweeney when she defeated his star client, Sara Del Rey, last week on StarStruck. In tonight's re-match, Del Rey was much more focused, not letting her eyes off Traci. The same could be said of Sweeney, who got an eyeful when Del Rey hit a drop toe hold on Traci, causing her to hang on the middle ropes, her assets on full display for the pleased manager at ringside - who for the occasion was dressed in wrestling gear. Kaz turned up to warn Sweeney not to check out his wife like that. Sweeney apologized, before he eye gouged Kaz and starting running around the ring. This caused a distraction, and ref Rosenberg never saw Traci roll up Del Rey for something that was surely a 3-count. Seconds later, Sara hit a hard right and followed up with a piledriver to win.
Sara Del Rey pinned Traci Brooks after a piledriver in 0:08:20. Rating: * 1/2
Kaz vs. Larry Sweeney
Sweeney was finally caught by Kaz inside the ring, but Kaz was clocked from behind by Del Rey. Sweeney grab a mic and told the fans that under no circumstance would he fight tonight, and that Sara would take his place. He tried to intimidate the ref to start the match, but to no avail. That didn't bother Sweeney though, who ripped off his shirt to reveal a ref's shirt! Ref Sweeney did use a lot of underhanded tactics though, and helped Sara in the match. Whenever Kaz fought back against Sara, Sweeney tackled him from behind. A stiff scissors kick from Sara drove Kaz down to the ground, and how he escaped the pinfall, is beyond me. Kaz fought back against both with great fervor, but was eventually low-kicked by ref Sweeney. Del Rey picked Kaz up in the Royal Butterfly, and slammed him down. Sweeney counted a very fast 3-count, and the very unofficial win was a fact!
Sara Del Rey pinned Kaz with the Royal Butterfly in 0:04:49. Rating: *** 1/4 [Larry Sweeney interfered against Kaz.]
The Beautiful People So Cal Val was in the back, interviewing TBP before their tag-team match against the Blonde Bombers. We see an entirely different side of TBP tonight, their determination and lust for revenge clearly showing through. Madison says that they are sorry that Angelina feels they abandoned her, but that costing them their tag team-titles, tricking them and making them look like fools was completely uncalled for. Velvet promised Jennifer a fast and uneventful career in TNAW. Unless she joins TBP, chimes Lacey.
The Beautiful Bombers (Angelina Love & Jennifer Blake) vs. The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky) w/Lacey von Erich
Angelina still wrestles under a mask with the Miss Wrestling moniker, and Lacey von Erich pointed out that she couldn't fool her any longer. Velvet and Blake started out, and Velvet had the upperhand until Miss Wrestling pulled velvet's hair when she ran into the ropes. Miss Wrestling and Blake double-teamed Velvet for several minutes, isolating her and cutting off Madison. Velvet managed a tag, but the ref was distracted, and had to force Madison out of the ring. Finally, Madison made the tag and cleared the house. The crowd was really on fire for this match, all in attendance wanted to see TBP get some measure of revenge on The Blonde Bombers. They hit the Makeover on Blake, but Love broke up the pin by pulling the referee out of the ring, prompting Velvet Sky to climb up on the turnbuckle and fly out of the ring. Back in the ring, Blake stuck a sharp-nailed finger into Rayne's eye, and while Madison shrieked out in pain, Blake hit her with the Dynamite Destroyer for the win.
The Bombers win this one, and poor Madison was crying as she exited the ring area, clutching her eye.
The Blonde Bombers ("Miss Wrestling" Angelina Love and Jennifer Blake) defeated The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) when J. Blake pinned M. Rayne with the Dynamite Destroyer in 0:07:06. Madison Rayne suffered a back injury. She will be out for approximately 1 card. Rating: ** 3/4 [Lacey von Erich interfered against Jennifer Blake.]
To win or not to be In Stamford Divas' locker room, Maria and Barbie are yelling at everyone, apparently nervous before the War Games match later tonight. Maria says that if they lose, they will be fired, and everyone has to work as Las Vegas showgirls to pay their bills. Unfortunately, Nattie Neidhart was prevented to be here tonight due to travelling issues, so both Garcia Twins had to be in the match. Barbie told them to focus on Hemme, as she was their weak link.
Awesome Kong vs Miss Elizabeth - Last Woman Standing
They are the two biggest women in sports entertainment today, and their feud has lasted for almost five months, reaching unprecedented levels of violence. Last time they faced each other saw both of them take some time off to heal injuries, so the fans knew they were in for a treat. The two wasted no time with entrances, as the match started when the two came brawling out from the back. They rolled shortly into the ring, allowing ref Mattano to start the match, but went quickly back out.
On the outside, Kong rammed Elizabeth into the guardrail several times, while "The New" Miss Elizabeth smashed Kong's arm repeatedly into the ringpost. This match wasn't pretty at all, but the intensity and power showed by both girls were otherworldly. Elizabeth got up to her feet at 7 after an Awesome Bomb, while Kong got up at 8 when she was Stamford Slammed on a steel chair.
Kong went for the spinning back fist on a couple of occassions, missing the first time, hitting the second - bringing extreme pain to her self in the process - as Elizabeth had been working over her arm throughout the match. Kong rolled out of the ring and retrieved a chain from under the ring. She went back into the ring, straight into another Stamford Slam from Miss Elizabeth. Elizabeth didn't see the chain though, and when Kong got back up at 9, she received a jab from Kong and was smashed with the spinning back fist, a chain wrapped around her hand. They both fell to the ground, Kong screaming primally at her shattered wrist - but she pulled herself up at 9, winning this Last Man Standing Match!
Last Woman Standing: Awesome Kong pinned Miss Elizabeth with a spinning back fist in 0:16:16. Rating: *** 3/4
Alexis Laree vs Tara (c) for the TNAW World Title
Dave Prazak entered the ring, telling the fans that unfortunately, Alexis Laree was involved with a serious traffic accident on her way to the arena earlier today. She is OK, but has suffered leg and hip injuries that will put her on the sidelines for some time.
Alexis Laree and Tara battled to a no contest due to Alexis Laree's car accident. Alexis Laree suffered a dislocated hip. She will be out for approximately 7 cards. Rating: * (Tara retained the TNAW World Title.)
Team Hemme vs. The Stamford Divas in a War Games Match for the control of TNAW
The TNAW World Title match may have been torpedoed by Alexis' unfortunate car accident, but the fans were still on the edge of their seats before this historical match - the very FIRST women's War Games match.
The match saw Sojourner Bolt and Katarina, one-half of the TNAW Tag-Team Champs start the match. Bolt used her power to send Kat into the cage on a couple of occasions, and even hit her Gory Bomb. However, the match could not be one, not at this time, and not by pinfall. Stamford Divas won the coin toss, and Brianna Garcia entered the ring, double-teaming Bolt and introducing her to the unyielding cage as well. LuFisto entered the cage next, evening the odds and softening up Brianna with a Muta Lock. Give LuFisto a cage, and you WILL see a lot of sick bumps. When Nicole joined her twin and Katarina, they worked together like they were twins... which they are.. and hiptossed LuFisto over the ropes and into the cage.
Alissa Flash was next, taking out the twins with a double clothesline and hitting the Air Raid Crash on Katarina. Melina was next from the Stamford Divas, again giving them the edge. She hit a blockbuster on Flash and a flapjack on Bolt. The cage was teeming with action, and the seven wrestlers were spread all over the two rings. Hamada was next, climbing to the top rope and hitting Melina and Brianna with a double cross body. Hamada hit a spin kick on Nicole, and hit a springboard lariat from one ring, to the other, on Katarina. Gail Kim was last from the Stamford Divas, and the tag team-champ came in fresh and focused to save her job. She went after Flash, but was intercepted by Hamada who drove her down with a Hamada Driver.
All were down and weary when the last entrant, Christy Hemme, entered the ring. Bolt and Katarina had been in the ring for almost 20 minutes, but they had been down on the mat, exhausted and beaten up for the last five minutes. Hemme went around rousing all her girls, but was tackled from behind by one of the Garcias. They had been told to target Hemme, and target Hemme they did. It was difficult to see anything in this blurry brawl, but in one corner, Alissa Flash caught Melina in a figure four around the ringpost, using that as leverage. Gail Kim tried to rescue her, but was hit with a spear from LuFisto. Melina tapped furiously, causing Team Hemme to win the match!
War Games No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Sojourner Bolt, LuFisto, Alissa Flash, Hamada and Christy Hemme defeated The Sta mford Divas (Brianna Garcia, Gail Kim, Katarina, Melina and Nicole Garcia) when A. Flash defeated Melina when Melina passed out in a figure-four leglock in 0:21:42. Rating: *** 1/4
The control has permanently been given to Christy Hemme, and by the agreement reached by both parties, The Stamford Divas might be without jobs...
Card rating: ** 3/4
Match observations: A violent end to a violent feud. The TNAW girls defeated The Stamford Divas in the final match, and the Divas' fate hangs in the balance. Unfortunately, this PPV will maybe be remembered for Alexis Laree's tragic car accident, that prevented her from taking part in the World Title Match. Fortunately, the latest prognosis from the doctors, say that Alexis might be back in the ring before christmas! If she has a job, of course.

Man, you sure had a bum deal on some of your matches. Neidhart no-shows and Laree gets injured. Luckily it was only the two matches on your card!!! I feel for you. Unless those were both angles in which case you have me biting hook, line, and sinker. The PPV itself was well booked and written. I'm really interested to see where you go from here with Hemme back in full control. I suppose you could do a little spring cleaning on a little bit of the roster, but I do enjoy the Stamford Divas so hopefully you don't get rid of the majority. Awesome Kong and Miss Elizabeth was exactly what I was looking for. Depending on what you do with the Divas, I guess Kong is next in line for a title shot which is something I'd really look forward to. Anyways, great PPV even if you couldn't do the World Title defense. Oh, forgot to add that the TBP segment was well done and looking forward to seeing where you go from here with them. Hopefully they aren't done with Angelina Love.

Thanks man. Yeah, quite a lot happened on this card. Sweeney no-showed too, but since I already had him doing managerial duties the previous match, I had to do something creatively - hence him putting Sara in his stead. It also fits in with his weasel-like attitude, putting a woman to do his fighting for him. I really wish the no-shows could be presented at the beginning of the show, not just prior to a match.
Nattie actually didn't no-show, I just decided to use both twins instead of just one. And yeah, the Alexis thing.. she dislocated her hip just after lock-up. A freak injury, but one I doubt a well-trained athlete would suffer. So I changed it, cheated, you could say.
Other than that, I'm really happy with the PPV. Rayne got injured, but just for a month though. And I can always use Lacey von Erich in the ring to advance their feud, even though the match ratings will drop.

TNAW - Behind the curtains
Ratings and numbers The ratings for StarStruck has [/i]really[/i] dropped. At one point, they were as low as 0.015, meaning that only 15 000 or so watched this free show. A big disappointment for a show that opened with 0.4 in January.
A Girls' Night Out sold 3000 PPV buys, while Caged Fury sold 4000. Not great numbers, either.
Comings and goings With the Invasion angle being wrapped up in the amazing War Games match at Caged Fury, there will be some spring cleaning in TNAW. The Stamford Girls were aware of this, but still put on a great performance. Maria, Barbie, The Garcia Twins and Melina will all be gone from TNAW. Everyone except the Garcia Twins will be going back to WWE from what Behind the Scenes have heard.
Hamada and Awesome Kong will not be on StarStruck for the next month or so, as they will be on tour with SENDAI Girls in Japan.
Lacey von Erich will have to lace up her boots and do in-ring wrestling from now on. The rumor says that she has asked for this for a while now, but Dave Prazak who is in charge of booking, hasn't felt that she has been good enough. Now is her chance.
TNAW has also offered contracts to the independent tag-team of Hailey Hatred and Jessica Havoc, Hatred & Havoc. It is not known when they will debut.
BUT - the biggest news must be that when Dave was on the Diva-Dirt podcast, promised the fans a huge signing soon. It is believed that this is a former WWE Women's Champion, and rumor has it that it will be someone like Lita, Trish Stratus, Chyna or Jazz.
Injuries Madison Rayne suffered a back injury after receiving the Dynamite Destroyer from Jennifer Blake at Caged Fury. The storyline injury is still an eye injury following the blatant eye gouge. Stay tuned for Pirate Madison for a month's time or so. Alexis' car accident will keep her out of action for the rest of the year. Jillian is still a few months away from returning to the ring too.
Other news Nattie didn't have travel issues coming into Caged Fury. The creative team felt that she would suffer too much if she was on the losing side in the War Games match, and felt it best to keep the twins together. Rumors have it that Nattie will receive a push, and that she will be paired with a manager.
The Dynamite Destroyer has been banned as a move. Madison isn't the first to have suffered a minor injury after taking it.
Larry Sweeney got some heat after bringing a few of his non-wrestler friends to a StarStruck taping. His friends were there to pick up some of the girls. Sweeney's job is not in danger at this point, but he is not allowed to bring any more friends around.

TNAW StarStruck - 22.05.2010
Christy Hemme returns triumphantly Christy Hemme and her team (minus Hamada who's on tour in Japan), comes to the ring to a thunderous ovation from the crowd. Christy thanks them for the support, and praises her team for their effort last week. She also brings up the question of the Stamford Divas, and guaranteed that this would be the last we have seen of Maria and Barbie. She calls out the tag champs, Gail Kim and Katarina, Nattie Neidhart and Jillian (who is on color commentary with Dave now). She says that she cannot fire the tag champs or someone injured (Alexis and Jillian). She also wants to keep Nattie, which she plugs as one of the greatest talents in the world today. She doesn't mention anything about the rest, so I guess that means The Garcia Twins, Melina and Miss Elizabeth is out of TNAW.
Kaz & Traci Brooks vs Larry Sweeney & Sara Del Rey
Mixed tag-team match as a consequence of what took place at Caged Fury. Kaz has been after Larry Sweeney for a few weeks now, both because he's pestering his wife, Traci, and because he's both low-blowed and eye gouged the TNA X-Division champion. As on Caged Fury, Larry Sweeney wanted no part of Kaz, and had Sara Del Rey protect his ass. Unfortunately for Sweeney, he got what was coming to him in this one, receiving a low blow from Traci followed by the Wave of the Future from Kaz.
Queen of the Ring Brackets Rundown Prazak and Jillian talk about the Queen of the Ring tournament, and shows us the brackets. First round brackets will be Awesome Kong vs. Hamada (taking place in Japan), Sojourner Bolt vs Katarina, Sarita vs ODB, Gail Kim vs LuFisto, Angelina Love vs Velvet Sky (that should be interesting), Sara Del Rey vs Lacey von Erich, Jennifer Blake vs Alissa Flash and Miss Elizabeth vs TBA (which means that Miss Elizabeth was kept on as well).
The first two rounds will take place on StarStruck, while the semi finals and the final will be decided on the Queen of the Ring PPV.
ODB vs. Sarita
First round match in the QOTR tournament was also a rematch from Caged Fury. ODB didn't fare a whole lot better in this match, as she missed several easy shots and stumbled across the ring. Prazak wondered if ODB was drunk, but Jillian thought she was only fat. ODB managed to get the upper hand eventually, but missed a Thesz Press completely and fell on her face. When she got back up, she was hit by a cross body press and decided to stay down. ODB is really in a rut now. This doesn't look good for the former Knockouts champion.
[Queen of the Ring 2010 - Round 1]: Sarita pinned ODB after a flying cross body press in 0:05:58. Rating: ** 3/4
Pirat Eye Madison Rayne Backstage, Lacey von Erich are preparing for her in-ring debut here in TNAW. Velvet and Christy are trying to calm her nerves, as Madison Rayne, wearing an eye-patch enters the locker room. The other girls laugh at her, which pisses her off. She says she thought pirates were sexy. Velvet says that Johnny Depp's sexy with an eye patch. Keira Knightley, not so much.
The Beautiful People (Lacey von Erich & Velvet Sky) w/Madison Rayne vs The Blonde Bombers (Miss Wrestling & Jennifer Blake)
The Blonde Bombers' partner tonight was Daffney, who, of course, had bleached her hair to fit in with the Bombers. The match started out in a chaotic fashion, TBP cleaning house and sending Jennifer Blake out to a waiting Madison Rayne, who started clobbering on the woman who stabbed her in the eye. Love took control for her team by pulling Christy down to the mat hard, and for several minutes, the general manager/wrestler were in dire straits. Miscommunication between Daffney and Blake saw Hemme making the tag to Velvet, who came in like a house on fire. The match turned into chaos yet again, and the ref had no control on who was legal. Most of the girls spilled to the outside, but Lacey von Erich was caught by "Miss Wrestling" and passed out in the Choke Sleeper. The Bombers made their escape, but Daffney wasn't that lucky, and was taken down with the Makeover from Velvet and Madison.
The Blonde Bombers (Miss Wrestling and Jennifer Blake) and Daffney defeated The Beautiful People (Lacey Von Erich and Velvet Sky) and Christy Hemme when Wrestling defeated Lacey when Lacey passed out in the Choke Sleeper in 0:10:19. Rating: ** 3/4
Nattie Neidhart introduces her new manager Backstage, So Cal Val stands by with Nattie Neidhart. She asks the Canadian if she's happy with Christy's kind words. Nattie cuts her off, saying she doesn't care what Christy says, she knows she's good, but more importantly, she's here to introduce her new manager/corner man - her own father Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart! The Anvil says that Nattie is the true superstar here in TNAW, and that is why they refused taking part in the Queen of the Ring-tournament. She doesn't need to go through 15 other wrestlers to get a title shot - they are demanding one for Queen of the Ring anyway! World Title, Tag-team title, Maiden Title - doesn't matter. Nattie will wear gold!
ODB drunken ruckus Alissa and LuFisto are walking backstage, talking, when they come across ODB yelling drunkenly at some catering people, while she was flailing around with her arms and knocking things to the ground. She yells at Alissa and LuFisto as well, but they walk away, shaking their head in disgust over the actions of the former champ.
Gail Kim vs Tara (c) for the TNAW World Title
Tara didn't get to defend her belt last week at Caged Fury, so she challenged anyone to a title match here tonight. Ironically enough, it was Gail Kim who came out of the curtain, considering what lengths she and the Divas went to in order to obtain title shots earlier this year.
As usual, these two had a great match. They know each other so well by now, and both girls picked up several close falls in the course of this match. Gail Kim didn't come down on her own, and her tag team-partner Katarina, played an influential part in this match, pulling Tara out of the ring after ref Bryce Remsburg was hit by a stray clothesline from Gail. Gail and Katarina beat Tara within an inch of making it back by the 10 count, but when Tara quickly turned the tides on Gail by hitting the Widows Peak on her, Katarina entered the ring and broke the pin, resulting in the DQ.
Tara defeated Gail Kim by disqualification in 0:11:35. Rating: ** 1/4 (Tara retained the TNAW World Title.) [Katarina interfered against Tara.]
A former Women's Champ makes the save The remaining Stamford Divas kicked away at Tara, until someone ran down for the save, laying out Gail and Katarina. That someone was none other than Trish Stratus! Stratusfaction has arrived in TNAW. After the match, Trish lifted the arm of her old friend in triumph, and was then given a microphone. Trish said she was excited to be here, reunited with some of her old friends. She also stated that she couldn't sit in the back and watch Tara got beat down like that, so she had to intervene. She also said she would be getting gold around her waist pretty soon. Tara looked suspicious at this, but Trish said that next week, Trish Stratus and Tara would challenge Gail Kim and Katarina for the Tag Team Titles!
Card rating: ** 1/2
Match observations: TNAW goes on without the Stamford Divas, but the greatest surprise must have been that Trish Stratus has returned to the wrestling ring! And not only that, she and Tara will challenge Katarina and Gail Kim for the tag titles next week on StarStruck. And with her father, Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart on her team, what will the future hold for Nattie Neidhart?

I hope you aren't totally getting rid of Miss Elizabeth. I'm wishing for maybe her to return under a new gimmick or someting.
Jim Neidhart is definitely an interesting choice for Nattie's manager. I'll be interested to see how you write him as I doubt he is easily pushed around. Looking forward to seeing if this is that step that Nattie needs to be put into title contention.
Oh, and Stratus is one of my favorites, so I'm really happy to see her here.
Things are looking good, and you are coming out of the Stamford Divas really well.

Miss Elizabeth isn't going anywhere, Beth Phoenix is one of the best athletes on the planet right now, I just had to keep her away from Awesome Kong for a while to cool down their feud. Sending Kong to Japan and putting Elizabeth in the tournament seemed a good decision at the time.
I don't think the Anvil will get involved physically, but yeah, he might bully some people around to get Nattie what she wants and needs. Title matches, mainly.
I have a lot of ideas spinning around in my head, so wrapping up the Stamford Divas invasion storyline was a relief, actually. Bringing in Stratus was something I needed to do to strengthen my main event scene while Alexis and Jillian recovers from their injuries. Time will tell if she stays for long, but she is only on a short contract.

TNAW StarStruck - 29.05.2010
Nattie and daddy interrupts StarStruck opens with Sara Del Rey and Lacey von Erich in a QOTR-qualifier, but the match is interrupted by father & daughter, as Nattie and Jim Neidhart walks out on the ramp, telling everyone how nobody else is close to Nattie's talent, and that she should be given a title opportunity at once. They refuse to leave the ramp unless they're given a title shot, and sit down in protest. After almost a minute of loud jeering from the crowd, Christy Hemme comes out. "The Anvil" demands a world title shot, but Christy says she cannot give Nattie that. He then asks for a tag-title shot, but Nattie doesn't have a partner, so that is out of the question too. Nattie then demands a Maiden Title shot. Hemme says that Hamada is on tour in Japan, so Nattie will have to wait. After some coercion, Christy agrees to book Nattie vs Hamada for the title at Queen of the Ring - as long as Hamada doesn't lose it while in Japan (she has scheduled two defences over there). Father & daughter leave the ramp, and the match can start.
Lacey von Erich w/Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky vs. Sara Del Rey w/Larry Sweeney - QOTR First Round
Lacey's first singles bout in TNAW was against Sara Del Rey, and the third generation wrestler couldn't have wished for a worse opponent. Sara pounded mercilessly on her from the get-go, but got frustrated when Lacey didn't give up as easily as Sara had predicted. Lacey is improving, but she is far from Sara's caliber, and fell to the Royal Butterfly. As they exited the area, Larry Sweeney told the camera that they were looking at the Queen of the Ring 2010!
[Queen of the Ring - First Round]: Sara Del Rey pinned Lacey Von Erich with the Royal Butterfly in 0:04:33. Rating: * 1/4
Hemme worried Backstage, Christy Hemme is having an informal chat with So Cal Val and Traci Brooks, about ODB's recent behavior. Christy says that ODB obviously have drinking problems, and that they should help her. Traci says they don't own that turncoat anything. Suddenly, ODB walks by, and all girls quiet down. ODB obviously thinks they're talking about her, and yells at them for talking about her behind her back. She pushes So Cal Val down to the ground and stumbles on.
So Cal Val interviews the Bombers After a commercial, So Cal Val interviews the Blonde Bombers. The Bombers say that they proved they were a better team than The Beautiful People, and they have nothing more to say to Madison, Velvet and Lacey. Angelina promises the viewers that she will be the next Queen of the Ring. Jennifer warns Madison to stay out of her business, unless she wants to go blind on both eyes.
Alissa Flash vs Jennifer Blake - QOTR First Round
Alissa Flash is one of several outsiders to win the Queen of the Ring tournament, but first she had to defeat Girl Dynamite Jennifer Blake. These two put on a terrific match, both girls being technically sound, fast and opportunistic, hitting several pinning maneuvers that could give them the win in a flash (pun intended). Jennifer got the upper hand by (what else) poking Alissa in the eye, but when she had Alissa in place for the Dynamite Destroyer, Madison Rayne ran in and jumped up on the apron. Blake hesitated as the ref threw out Rayne, and this allowed Alissa to hit a backdrop. She then picked up Girl Dynamite and hit the Air Raid Crash for the win. The "Future Legend" is one step closer to becoming the Queen of the Ring.
[Queen of the Ring 2010 - First Round]: Alissa Flash pinned Jennifer Blake after the Air Raid Crash in 0:06:46. Rating: *** 1/4
Angelina Love w/Jennifer Blake vs Velvet Sky w/Lacey von Erich & Madison Rayne - QOTR First Round
Quick transition into the next match, which featured one Bomber and one of the Beautiful People. Angelina and Velvet were the original Beautiful People, but the fact that these two were best friends not a year ago, was not obvious in this match. These two gorgeous ladies put on a wild brawl where ref Mattano was close to disqualifying both of them on several occasions. They also knew each other so well, that defeating one another proved difficult. Angelina even kicked out of the Beauty Mark! The ending of this match saw Jennifer Blake come out through the crowd and take out Lacey with several forearms to the back. Ref Mattano was down, and Angelina had Velvet in a full nelson. Blake climbed the apron and was about to poke Velvet's eye out, when Madison Rayne ran in and grabbed hold of Jennifer. Jennifer kicked Madison away and poked in front of her. Only problem was that Velvet had reversed the full nelson, so it was Angelina who got poked in the eye. Miss Wrestling cried out and fell down, allowing Velvet to make the cover and advance in the Queen of the Ring tournament. My guess is that the Blonde Bombers and The Beautiful People aren't through.
Velvet Sky defeated Angelina Love via pinfall in 0:07:24. Rating: ** 1/2 [Jennifer Blake interfered against Velvet Sky.]
Awesome Kong vs. Hamada - QOTR First Round
We then get to see edited footage from Japan, where Hamada faced Awesome Kong in the first round. We see Hamada using her speed and agility to gain the upper hand in the beginning. We then jump to when Kong catches Hamada's rana attempt, and power bombs her. We see Kong work over Hamada some more, and then cutting Hamada's comeback short with an Awesome Bomb to go through to the next round.
[Queen of the Ring 2010 - First Round]: Awesome Kong pinned Hamada with the Awesome Bomb in 0:07:29. Rating: *** 3/4
Trisha & Tara are backstage Backstage, Tara and Trisha (which will be Trish's stage name in TNAW) are getting ready for their match. They're laughing and talking about the old days, and how they are ready to rock this place.
Gail Kim & Katarina (c) vs. Trisha & Tara for the TNAW Tag Team Titles
Tonight's main event was for the TNAW Tag Team Titles. Could Tara become a double champion? Or is Trisha too rusty to be of any help against the Stamford Divas? It didn't look like it in the opening minute, as Trisha took out both Kim and Katarina with clotheslines and drop kicks, before tagging in Tara. Tara did a thorough job at Katarina's chest, chopping it red before going for some moves that might yield Tara & Trish the belts. It was still to early, and when Gail made a blind tag, Tara was caught unaware and lost the momentum. The champs had control for several minutes now, dominating Tara and preventing her from tagging Trisha. She was close several times, but one tag was hindered by Gail pulling Trisha down from her apron, and the other missed the ref's attention due to distraction from Katarina. Tara was finally able to sneak through Gail's legs and crawl over to Trisha... who dropped down from the apron! Tara was in shock as she saw Trisha walk out of the ringside area! Tara was double-teamed some more, before Katarina dropped her with the Kat Nap to retain the belt.
Gail Kim And Katarina (Gail Kim and Katarina) defeated Trisha and Tara when Katarina pinned Tara with the Kat Nap in 0:10:46. Rating: *** 1/4 (Gail Kim And Katarina retained the TNAW Tag-Team Titles.)
Card rating: *** 1/4
Match observations: Velvet Sky, Alissa Flash, Sara Del Rey and Awesome Kong joins Sarita in the quarter finals of Queen of the Ring 2010. The first match for the Queen of the Ring PPV has been finalized, as Nattie Neidhart will face Hamada for the Maiden Title. But the one thing the viewers will remember from this episode, must be that Trisha abandoned Tara in the tag team title match. And one question must be on Tara's mind. Why?
