- Yep, typo, thanks for noticing it.
- I know LuFisto as the top contender doesn't make all that sense, but she was at one point known as the Hardcore Queen of women's wrestling and wrestled death matches against a lot of guys, so her chances will definitely improve in a hardcore environment.
- Thanks for the comments, I hope and think Through the Gates of Hell will be awesome too!

Good stuff all around. Jim Neidhart with Nattie is a lot of fun. I don't see LuFisto having much of a shot, but it will be a fun match to build both up. PPV shaping up nicely. Still shocked you have me caring about women's wrestling.

Still shocked you have me caring about women's wrestling. I have always avoided women's wrestling circuits, but I got bored one day and there weren't that many circuits around with more than a couple of cards. I decided to check this circout out just for the heck of it and I was hooked. I'll never forgive Rey for making me like a women's wrestling circuit.

Heh. I'm sorry guys. No, I'm really not sorry, women's wrestling is actually quite entertaining. Or maybe it's just me who finds it fascinating to see chicks kick each other asses.
I know of a few independent women's feud that takes women's wrestling seriously, and my goal with this was to transfer it to a larger stage. I'm really not sure if it had worked in real life, but what the heck.

TNAW StarStruck - 16.10.2010
Rematch demanded Christy has just entered her office when Prince Nana and The KongTourage bursts into her office, demanding a rematch for Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt. Nana claims that the scheduled opponents were Velvet and Madison, not Velvet and Angelina. The win should therefore be annulled, but barring that, a rematch should take place at Through the Gates of Hell. Christy says that they didn't sign a rematch clause, but that she would see what she could do. She clicks away on her iPhone, and quickly tells Nana that they have a top contenders match tonight. Nana mumbles something about the wonders of modern technology as the Kongtourage leaves to prepare.
Board meeting We see a video from another board meeting for The Beautiful People. Velvet is painting her nails, as Madison complains about not being involved more with the Beautiful People, and that she feels like the 5th wheel on the wagon. Jennifer and Lacey tries to console her, saying that she's as important as everyone else. Angelina tells them she just got a text from Christy Hemme asking if TBP accepts a challenge from The Kongtourage for Through the Gates of Hell. Madison asks her to say that they have to go through her and Lacey first - in a top contenders match.
ODB vs. Traci Brooks
ODB might have come up short against the TNAW World Champion, but Traci Brooks came up short here tonight. ODB is en route to the big main event at Through the Gates of Hell, and picked up the win with a running powerslam.
ODB pinned Traci Brooks after a running powerslam in 0:03:38. Rating: * 3/4
Hemme announces new match Christy Hemme enters the ring and announces yet another match for Through the Gates of Hell. In order to involve EVERYONE on the roster, those not involved in other matches, will take part in a special gauntlet match. The girl who stands tall after all wrestlers have been defeated, will be the top contender for the Maiden Title.
The Beautiful People (von Erich & Rayne) vs The Kongtourage (Kim & Bolt) w/Prince Nana
The KongTourage wants to regain their title, but they had to go through Lacey von Erich and Madison Rayne in order to do so. An interesting thought - what would happen if Lacey and Madison won this match? Would they go up against their fellow teammates/board members? It really could happen, as Madison and Lacey double-teamed Gail in the opening, hitting her with double clotheslines and double elbow drops. The KongTourage took the momentum through nefarious means, Nana tripping Lacey. Bolt and Gail took their time putting the pain to von Erich, choking her and tossing her around by her long hair. Finally, Lacey was able to duck a clothesline from Bolt and rolled her way to her corner, only to see Gail Kim pull Madison down from the apron, laying her out with several hard shots. A distraught Lacey tried to fight Bolt, but was taken down with a beautiful fisherman suplex with a bridge for the loss.
The Kongtourage (Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt) defeated The Beautiful People (Lacey Von Erich and Madison Rayne) when Bolt pinned Lacey after a fisherman suplex in 0:09:07. Rating: ** 1/2
After the match, Nana entered the ring and told the StarStruck zone that the tag match at Through the Gates of Hell would be a Table Elimination Match!
Eve on a shopping trip We see a video of Eve Torres in a mall, browsing through some dresses before finding a musical instrument shop. She looks at various guitars, until a sales person asks her if she needs any help. Eve says she needs a guitar that is light enough to wield, that still hurts like hell if struck over someones head. The sales person stutters something about a Fender Stratocaster - but that it would be a shame to ruin a fine piece of instrument like that.
Christy and Dave at a ironworks We see video footage of Christy Hemme and Dave Prazak visiting an ironworks. They are given a short tour of the place, before meeting up with a project manager. They are shown a blueprint of a huge steel structure which will cover both the ring and the immediate ringside area. A door is the only way in - and out - of it. Christy says this will be perfect for her match. Dave asks her what her plans for the match are, but Christy says he will have to wait until next week, same as the fans!
Sarita vs Sara Del Rey w/Larry Sweeney
This was a rematch from Pretty Amazing. Sara Del rey picked up the victory there, but Sarita gained a small measure of revenge two weeks ago, when her tag team partner Mercedes Martinez pulled out a surprise win over Del Rey. Sarita wanted a win of her own, and attacked Sara right away with hard rights, switching it up with some technical ground-based wrestling, locking Sara in a camel clutch. Sara didn't really have any response to this intense attack from Sarita, but managed a koppo kick to give herself a short respite. After hitting a powerslam on Del Rey, Sarita went for the tiger driver. At this point, Larry Sweeney didn't want to risk another pinfall loss for Sara, and entered the ring to push Sarita away, causing the dq. Sarita grabbed a hold of Larry Sweeney, who begged and pleaded with Sarita to let him go. This allowed Sara to low-blow Sarita and grab Larry for a quick exit.
Sarita defeated Sara Del Rey by disqualification in 0:06:58. Rating: ** 3/4 [Larry Sweeney interfered against Sarita.]
Interview with Kong and Nana From a lavishly decorated locker room, So Cal Val interviews Prince Nana and Queen Kong. Kong says her reign of terror has just begun, and that it doesn't matter that Christy's putting her up against three challengers at Through the Gates of Hell. Nana claims that after the next PPV, the KongTourage will hold both the world belt and the tag-team belts. Val asks Nana if he feels so sure about Kong winning now that all four will be contained in a large steel structure - an unwise move. Queen Kong grabs hold of Val squeezing her neck with one mighty hand. Nana then whispers in Val's ear, that if she knows what's best for her, she doesn't ask these kinds of questions. Kong and Nana then laughs maniacally into the camera as Val catches her breath again.
Eve Torres vs "the Special One" Jillian Jones vs LuFisto vs Nattie Neidhart w/Jim Neidhart
It's time for the huge main event! Four ring posts, four opponents, tags ARE necessary. With two feuds brewing in this match-up, it was typical that the feuders weren't matched up. It was either Torres and Neidhart, Torres and LuFisto, Jones and Neidhart or Jones and LuFisto. The Maiden Title was not on the line tonight, but Neidhart wrestled as if it was, hitting a wheelbarrow faceslam on Torres for a two-count. You also saw some weird actions, like Jillian Jones saving Torres from passing out in a sleeperhold from LuFisto. Finally, Jones managed to tag LuFisto, who ran in and locked Nattie in a Cristo, showing her what she could do in their hardcore match at Through the Gates of Hell. Nattie reached the ropes, and quickly tagged Jones back in. Jones gained the upper hand by poking LuFisto's eyes, but after a couple of suplexes, Eve Torres entered the ring illegally and pulled Jillian down by her hair. Jillian took offense to this, and was distracted enough to let LuFisto sneak up behind her and hit the Burning Hammer. Eve didn't bother saving Jones, and Nattie was too late. A big win for LuFisto, who was quickly attacked by Nattie afterwards who put LuFisto in the Sharpshooter, only to have LuFisto roll out of it rather easily! Nattie and Jim were shocked - maybe they needed a backup plan for Through the Gates of Hell..
Four Corners Match: LuFisto defeated Jillian Jones, Nattie Neidhart and Eve Torres when LuFisto pinned Jones with the Burning Hammer in 0:09:15. Rating: *** 1/4
Card rating: ** 3/4
Match observations:
The battle lines for Through the Gates of Hell have been drawn. ODB, Miss Elizabeth, Tara and Queen Kong will face each other in some kind of devious steel structure. The rules and match format will be presented by Christy Hemme next week, but one thing's for sure, the champ will be on her own against three hungry challengers.
We also saw Eve Torres help LuFisto defeat Jillian Jones in a four-corner match where Nattie, much to her dismay, discovered that LuFisto rather easily escaped her dreaded Sharpshooter. It's back to the drawing board for father and daughter Neidhart.
Catch us again next week!

- Oh, no, not an IPhone!!!
- I have a feeling Madison and Lacey aren't going to have a good night.
- Good squash for ODB. I wouldn't be opposed to her getting quite a few squashes in the build to Through the Gates of Hell. Just my opinion, but I don't see her in the other women's league just yet. Some squashes could help.
- I like the idea of the gauntlet match.
- I'm happy with the rematch for the Kongtourage.
- Christy is really wanting to see some blood it looks like.
- LuFisto is getting quite the push here. I'm still warming up to her so it may take some time for me to get into it.
Looking forward to the PPV.

TNAW StarStruck - 23.10.2010
ODB and Tara at each other's throats StarStruck opened with So Cal Val interviewing Tara about her chances in the big main event at Through the Gates of Hell. Tara says she's positive that she will regain her title. Not only was she attacked by the KongTourage at Tropic Tumble, she also overestimated herself. Maybe she got complacent because she had been a champ for so long, but at TtGoH, she will not do the same mistake. Suddenly, ODB came over and told Tara to not dismiss her. She's in the shape of her life, and will give Tara and the others a run for their money. They started arguing, ODB even pushing Tara away until Prince Nana of all people got between them. He told the ladies that maybe they should take this dispute to the ring. Nana played them against each other perfectly, and it now seems we have our main event tonight!
Miss Elizabeth vs Shark Girl
Tonight we saw the debut of a new and fascinating character. At least an old character in a new, female shape, as Shark Girl made her debut against Miss Elizabeth. Elizabeth didn't take this odd figure seriously, until the purple shark started biting Elizabeth's arm after an armwringer. The masked Shark Girl used her speed to frustrate Elizabeth, hitting her with guerilla attacks consisting of biting Elizabeth in various places. Finally, Elizabeth caught hold of the mischievious creature and dump her with the Stamford Slam.
Miss Elizabeth pinned Shark Girl with the Stamford Slam in 0:06:38. Rating: **
Hemme announces main event for TtGoH We all knew that ODB, Miss Elizabeth and Tara would challenge Queen Kong for the TNAW World Title at Through the Gates of Hell in some sort of steel structure, but we didn't know the exact rules of it. Tonight, Hemme unveiled a model of the huge steel structure (akin to a Hell in a Cell). Hemme said that once everyone was inside the Gates of Hell structure, the match would start. The goal? To get everyone ELSE out of the cage. Attendants will stand by next to the door, and once someone is outside, they will shut the door again. Whoever's still standing when their three opponents are outside, will be the holder of the TNAW World Title.
Backstage brawl After commercials, we go quickly to the back where Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt are brawling with Angelina Love and Jennifer Blake. It's a back and forth struggle until Prince Nana and Queen Kong comes running. Kong clobbers Love in the back, and Kim and Bolt readies a table to put Angelina through. The rest of The Beautiful People come running, using the numbers game to chase The KongTourage away. Christy Hemme comes by and demands to know what's going on, and to take it to the ring if they can't wait until the PPV. Nana says his team isn't prepared for a tag team-match, but if anyone wants to go against Gail Kim, they're more than welcome. Both Angelina and Madison want dibs, and Nana claims Love was first.
Angelina Love vs Gail Kim w/Prince Nana
These two girls put on a great match throughout almost 15 minutes. It started slow with a lot of holds and counter-holds, but sped up eventually as "Miss Wrestling" hit a rana out of nowhere on Kim. Gail hit a bruising on Love with several high kicks, but was unsuccessful on hitting the Eat Defeat early on. The match spilled outside eventually, and it was at this point the match turned more chaotic, as Prince Nana distracted the ref, allowing Sojourner Bolt to sneak in and attack Love on the outside. This brought out Velvet Sky and Jennifer Blake as well, and ref Mattano ordered them all thrown out by security. Mattano cannot have eyes in the back of her neck, and didn't see Prince Nana yank Love's hair when she went for a bulldog of the ropes. This distracted Love enough to let Kim grab hold of her and hit the Eat Defeat for the win. Come Through the Gates of Hell though, Love would want nothing more than to put Kim through a table.
Gail Kim pinned Angelina Love with the Eat Defeat in 0:14:41. Rating: *** 3/4 [Jennifer Blake interfered against Gail Kim.] [Prince Nana and Sojourner Bolt interfered against Angelina Love.]
Girls Gone Wild are sick and tired of Sweeney Girls Gone Wild, Sarita and Mercedes Martinez, come to the ring demanding some mic time. Sarita says they are sick and tired of Larry Sweeney interfering in Del Rey's matches, and wants that cowardly son of a bitch in the ring. Sweeney and Del Rey come out too, but Sweeney doesn't want to talk about that right away. Instead, he says that Sarita and Martinez have potential, and have been looking to sign a tag-team for some time now. Sarita says they'll never work for a scumbag like him. Sweeney then suggests a match at Through the Gates of Hell. Girls Gone Wild against him and Sara Del Rey. If GGW wins, well, then they get their revenge. If Sweeney and Del Rey win, and win they will, Girls Gone Wild has to sign a 1-year contract with Sweeney. Martinez shakes her head no, but Sarita wants Sweeney badly (in the ring, that is), and accepts. Seems like we have ourselves another match for Through the Gates of Hell!
Tara vs ODB
ODB worked a headlock on Tara in the opening minutes, actually schooling the former World Champ in technical wrestling. What a transformation these past months have been for Tara. A few months ago, she was never seen sober, now she's friggin Ricky Steamboat! The crowd was split down the middle in this one, as both are crowd favorites. ODB was close to a victory after a TKO and a running powerslam, before locking on a mighty bear hug. Tara knew that a loss wouldn't look good going into the PPV, and bought herself some time with a power bomb. ODB then missed a Bronco Buster, allowing Tara to push ODB up to the ropes and hit a superplex. This match could have gone either way. Tara even hit the Widow's Peak on ODB, but just as she was about to make the cover, Queen Kong slid into the ring and clobbered her. Kong was giving it to Tara until ODB jumped on her back and locked in a sleeperhold. The foursome was complete when Miss Elizabeth ran in with a chair. Fortunately for ODB, Tara met Elizabeth with a flying shoulderblock. Security runs in, desperately trying to separate the four warring women. Christy Hemme comes out and says that she doesn't even want to scold them. She understands their hatred against one another and the prize their fighting for. Next week, we will get a sneak preview of the Through the Gates of Hell match, as they would meet in a four-corner match, one fall to a finish.
Tara defeated ODB by disqualification in 0:12:09. Rating: ** 1/4 [Queen Kong interfered against ODB.] [Queen Kong interfered against Tara.]
Card rating: ** 3/4
Match observations: Things are heating up in our main event feud, and next week we'll see all four of them against each other!
We have a new match for the PPV too, as Girls Gone Wild will take on Larry Sweeney and Sara Del Rey. The condition Sweeney set for this match was that if he and Sara won, GGW would agree to wrestle for Sweeney for 1 year.
We also saw the debut of the colorful character Shark Girl. Is this Shark Boy's girlfriend, brother or cousin? Maybe we'll find out next week on StarStruck?

Great to see a new name in this thread, thanks for reading fwaroc.
I've actually reached the point where I'm ajour with all the cards I've ran.. I've tried keeping myself one month ahead. I guess running 3-4 indy circuits in addition, real life obligations, organizing a wrestling show, playing Fable II etc. has taken too much time lately.
I'll run a card or two this weekend methinks!

- Tara vs ODB should be a good main event.
- Shark Girl is a fun new character. I take it she stole Shark Boy's gimmick?
- Interesting match with the object to get people out of the cage. Especially with a cage that has a top (Hell in a Cell). I'm definitely interested to see how you write this one up.
- With the stip added it looks like GGW will be going under Sweeney's control. I like the idea and the angle.
- I kind of thought you might give the win to ODB to have her build up some steam. It'll be interesting to see who comes out on top in the four corners match next week as that usually means they won't be winning the Title at the PPV.
One week closer...

Shark Girl is actually a real indy wrestler, but yeah, she's obviously stolen the gimmick from Shark Boy. She's also one of my already hired wrestlers, that for storyline reasons aren't around for the moment.
Sort of when Christopher Daniels were fired, and then they brought in Curry Man..

TNAW StarStruck - 30.10.2010
The Beautiful People (Blake & Rayne) vs Girls Gone Wild (Sarita & Martinez
The Beautiful People has tried different combinations as of late, but it isn't always a good match. So was the case here tonight, as Rayne and Blake weren't on the same page with the double-team maneuvers. This allowed Sarita to use her speed tag Martinez, who used her strength to bring the smaller blondes down to the ground. Martinez and Blake had a chopfest in the corner, which Blake won with her Kobashi-style chops. Rayne tagged her way back in to the match but Girls Gone Wild took her down with some crisp team maneuvers before Martinez hit the Mercedes Benz (a spinal shock variant) on Rayne to win the match. They all shook hands afterwards, but Rayne and Blake were visibly discussing what went wrong in this match.
Girls Gone Wild (Sarita and Mercedes Martinez) defeated The Beautiful People (Jennifer Blake and Madison Rayne) when Martinez pinned M. Rayne with the Mercedes' Benz in 0:09:50. Rating: *** 1/2
Interview with Sweeney and Del Rey Larry Sweeney and Sara Del Rey were standing in the back watching GGW win their match. Sweeney laughed and clapped his hands, telling Sara that when they beat GGW at Through the Gates of Hell, he will have a good tag-team in his stable that will bring him a lot of money. Sara says she also earns him a lot of money. Sweeney nods, but he has to admit that the road to single titles are always a little tougher than in the tag ranks. He's pretty sure that with Girls Gone Wild under his wings, they will be tag team champions within no time.
Shark Girl interview So Cal Val tries to interview the weird character known as Shark Girl. The pink-clad fish-girl only growls at Val and then starts biting the microphone and Val's hand before running off. Nattie and Jim Neidhart come over to Val, telling her that this miscreant will be taken care of in due order later on. Val then asks them about the Hardcore match with LuFisto. Nattie stutters that she's not afraid of LuFisto, and that she will take care of business tonight and at the PPV. She doesn't sound so confident though..
Nattie Neidhart vs. Shark Girl
Shark Girl has fast become one of the favorite characters on StarStruck, especially with the younger fans. Her antics doesn't really hurt her opponents all that much toe, but she frustrated Nattie throughout the match with guerilla attacks and biting shenanigans. After a few minutes of comedy action, Nattie grabbed hold of Shark Girl's legs and cinched in the Sharpshooter for the win. Will LuFisto feel the same at Through the Gates of Hell?
Nattie Neidhart defeated Shark Girl when Shark Girl passed out in the Sharpshooter in 0:04:27. Rating: ***
"the Special One" Jillian Jones vs "Super Hardcore Anime" LuFisto
Jillian Jones suffered a defeat to LuFisto two weeks in a four corners match, and wanted a one-on-one match here tonight to prove her worth. They brawled around for a while, until LuFisto took control with a spear. Jones swiftly regained the upper hand with a long finger to the eye of LuFisto, hitting a flying clothesline and a handspring legdrop on LuFisto for a two-count. "the Special One" even climbed up for her seldom used move, the 450 splash, but she took too long and LuFisto threw her to the canvas. The match went back and forth, both women being close to a victory. Then, the Neidharts came out. While Jim distracted ref Mattano, Nattie caught LuFisto's leg by the ropes and dragged her out of the ring, slamming her into the guardrail, peppering her with rights and lefts. Shen then slid her fellow canadian back into the ring, where Jillian picked her up and hit the Full Nelson Bulldog for the win. She picked up her guitar to play a tune to celebrate her win, but thought better of it when Eve Torres ran in with a guitar of her own! These two will meet in a Guitar on a pole match on Through the Gates of Hell, and by the looks of it, both can't wait to drive that guitar through each other's heads.
Jillian Jones pinned LuFisto with the Full Nelson Bulldog in 0:07:04. Rating: *** 1/2 [Nattie Neidhart interfered against LuFisto.]
ODB vs Miss Elizabeth vs Queen Kong w/Prince Nana vs Tara in a non-title 4-corner match
The four contestants for the TNAW World Title at Through the Gates of Hell faced each other here today in a preview of what we will see at the PPV. The title was not on the line here tonight, and it was first fall wins it all.
Alliances were out the window. Miss Elizabeth and Queen Kong has not forgotten the brutal fights between them earlier this year, and ODB and Tara is not exactly seeing eye to eye either, as both covets the prize they both will be fighting for in two weeks time. This match was held under tag rules, but the tags were more chops or slaps than tags, ODB chopping Elizabeth on the back to tag herself in, and Tara slapping Kong across the face to take a short rest period on the apron. As ODB were fighting Kong's size in the ring, Tara got bored and decided to pull Elizabeth down from the apron and brawl on the outside, causing the match to degenerate into complete chaos. Ref Rosenberg tried to admonish the wrestlers to keep it within the ring and within the rules, but gave up eventually and counted pinfalls wherever he saw it, realizing that the crowd was loving the match and the fact that Tara was kicking the shit out of Elizabeth. Kong and Elizabeth also interacted in the match, Elizabeth managing to get the big champion into a Texas Cloverleaf, until ODB smashed her in the face. Tara and ODB then worked together against Kong, ODB hitting a torture rack drop and Tara a DDT. ODB then turned the tables on Tara with a powerslam. Prince Nana pulled (or tried to, I think Kong crawled) out of the ring to save her further punishment, allowing Tara and ODB to focus on Elizabeth in the ring. Tara hit Elizabeth with the Widow's Peak, but before she could make the cover, ODB hit her with the Flying Thesz Press. With Tara and Kong out of the way, ODB could cover Elizabeth for the big win!
ODB is flying high going into the brutal cage match at Through the Gates of Hell.
Four Corners Match: ODB defeated Miss Elizabeth, Tara and Queen Kong when ODB pinned Elizabeth with the Flying Thesz Press in 0:12:26. Rating: *** 1/4
After the match, ODB went after Queen Kong, but was quickly overwhelmed by The KongTourage which came in to help Kong. Tara came to the rescue, ODB cheating her for the win obviously forgotten. The chaos was complete when the entire Beautiful People ran in and attacked The KongTourage and Miss Elizabeth, and in the end, it was The Beautiful People/Tara/ODB that stood in the ring, while The KongTourage retreated to the back. Miss Elizabeth, not wanting any part of any alliance, retreated through the crowd.
Card rating: *** 1/4

Good win for Girls Gone Wild. Any win over TBP will help elevate their opponents.
Sweeney better be careful or he might piss off his golden ticket in Del Ray. I'm not opposed to Sweeney creating a bigger stable, I just hope Del Ray remains the focus point.
Poor Shark Girl. Liking that Nattie got a squash though.
You've actually built LuFisto up to where I considered it an upset that Hall beat her. I'm starting to like the Neidhart-LuFisto feud.
TBP/Tara/ODB !!! Awesome. I want a Survivor Series style match!
ODB picking up the win here is good as it definitely gives her some momentum. I still can't see her pulling it out, but the other three are definitely viable choices.
Looking forward to the PPV!

TNAW StarStruck - 06.11.2010
LuFisto giving herself a big challenge After the opening credits of StarStruck has rolled over the screen, So Cal Val appears backstage with LuFisto. LuFisto says that she's the most hardcore girl in TNAW. She's enjoyed fighting in all sorts of hardcore environments throughout the years, and even though she has stopped doing that on a regular basis, she still has it in her. The lust for pain. She's gonna prove that tonight, as she has challenged Queen Kong for a match tonight! We're gonna see Kong vs LuFisto in our main event tonight.
Girls Gone Wild interview So Cal Val finds another twosoome to interview, as Sarita and Mercedes Martinez - Girls Gone Wild - had a few choice words for Larry Sweeney. Sarita says that they're not interested in becoming a part of his portfolio, that they'll win their matches without the assistance of some sleazeball agent. Martinez continues by saying that at Through the Gates of Hell, she will put her boot through Sweeneys thick skull.
The Beautiful People board meeting We go directly to a TBP board meeting (there'll be matches soon!) where they're discussing the upcoming Gauntlet Match. As 3 of the 7 participants in the match will be TBP cardholders, odds are they will meet each other at one time or another. Angelina suggests that if they meet up early on, that they use stone, scissors, paper to determine who will advance. Madison is strongly opposed to this, telling the rest that this is a disgrace to the sport and to the fans. Velvet's on Madison's side, while Jennifer's on Love's side, stating that the most important thing is that one of them got the win. Preserving your strength could be the difference, especially with Hamada in the mix. It's all down to Lacey von Erich, who apologizes to Velvet and Madison, saying that since she's the lesser wrestler, she'll go for stone, scissors, paper. Madison storms out of the room, saying that she's not going to lay down for anyone.
Sojourner Bolt w/Prince Nana vs Velvet Sky
Both of these girls had their respective partner's on the outside for this match, cheering for their teammate. After a brief exchange of holds, Bolt gave Sky a knee in the stomach and went on to show the crowd that despite her size, she's powerful as heck, slamming Sky around with a T-Bone Suplex and then a pumphandle slam for a two. It went downhill from here, as Kim was choking Sky when ref Mattano didn't look that way and Angelina Love then spraying Bolt in the eyes with a hairspray. The referee tried to get the others out of the ring, but when Love and Kim collided in the ring, punching away at each, she threw the match out. Unfortunately for The KongTourage, TBP is too numerous to fight in a beatdown, and when Rayne, von Erich and Blake came running, Kim and Nana dragged the blinded Bolt out of the ring and skedaddled.
Velvet Sky and Sojourner Bolt battled to a no contest in 0:06:06. Rating: *** [Prince Nana and Gail Kim interfered against Velvet Sky.] [Angelina Love interfered against Sojourner Bolt.]
The Neidhart`s doing their homework Jim and Nattie is watching old LuFisto tapes where she's fighting guys in deathmatches. Nattie winces and tries not to look, and even daddy Jim is disgusted by what he's seeing. After watching LuFisto bodyslam some guy through a glass table, Nattie screams, turns off the DVD, turns to her dad and asks if she really needs to fight LuFisto in a hardcore match. Jim nods solemnly, saying it's no turning back now. A Hart never turns back on a match.
Alexis video We see a short video from the home of Alexis Laree, where the TNAW star is convalescing from the car accident earlier this year. She still walks around with a cane, favoring her left leg. She says that she has had extensive hip surgery, but hopes to be back in 2011.
Christina von Eerie vs Jennifer Blake vs Hamada vs Madison Rayne in a 4-corner elimination match
Four of the combatants in the special gauntlet match at TtGoH faced each other here tonight in an elimination match. Hamada hasn't been around since losing the belt to Nattie Neidhart at Pretty Amazing, but if we know the Japanese superstar, she's on the fast track to another title shot. Seeing that she's the biggest threat in the match, all three ganged up on her. Blake gave her a running forearm smash, von Eerie followed up with a dropkick and Rayne hit a DDT. The savy joshi fighter rolled out of the ring to escape being pinned. The Beautiful People then started working over von Eerie, but began quarreling over which move to perform. This allowed Hamada to sneak back into the ring and hit a Hamada driver on von Eerie for the first elimination. They didn't manage a coherent teamwork against Hamada either, and collided with a double clothesline in the middle of the ring. Blake was the first one to get up, but was surprised with a small package from Hamada for the pinfall. Rayne mounted a nice offense on Hamada, and took her down with a scissor kick and a Flatliner for two. She went for a superkick, but Hamada ducked, spun Rayne around and hit the Hamada Driver for the three. Hamada cleans the table, and Blake and Rayne argued extensively on their way out.
Four Corners Match: Hamada defeated Christina von Eerie, Jennifer Blake and Madison Rayne: x Hamada beat von Eerie via the Hamada Driver in 0:02:39 x Hamada beat J. Blake via a small package in 0:06:00 x Hamada beat M. Rayne via the Hamada Driver in 0:07:09 Rating: *** 3/4
Miss Elizabeth speaks out Miss Elizabeth has a sitdown interview with Dave Prazak, saying that while she's had her ups and downs in TNAW, she really feels the need to prove herself. To prove herself, she needs to hold a belt - the TNAW World Title. It didn't do her any good to be allied with the Stamford Divas, and even if Kong had the KongTourage, and ODB and Tara had each other (sort of), she didn't need anyone's help or friendship. She was the best and most powerful wrestler in TNAW. She has defeated all the other three women before, and she would do it again in the steel cage.
LuFisto vs Queen Kong w/Prince Nana
It was time for LuFisto's test of pain, a match with the powerful TNAW world champion. I don't know if she really wanted to win or to just feel the pain Kong was about to dish out, but she started out by trying to get Kong off of her feet, to no avail. Kong choke lifted the brazen Canadian until Mattano almost had to DQ her. The beatings started now, with slams and suplexes and brutal clubbing fists to LuFisto's back. All throughout this, LuFisto grimaced in pain, but then started laughing. The laugh was directed at the Neidhart's, who were watching from the entrance. Eventually, LuFisto summoned a last burst of strength, suddenly clasping on the Cristo on Kong. Kong isn't that easily beaten though, and she managed to get LuFisto over in a powerslam position, slamming her down. Kong spinebustered LuFisto, she hit her with a standing suplex and she even chokeslammed her. LuFisto kicked out, every single time. In the end though, LuFisto's back had taken so much of a beating that when Queen Kong locked in a bearhug, she didn't have the strength to fight out of it, eventually passing out. She may have lost the match, but she impressed everyone, even Kong, who looked approvingly on LuFisto before making her way out.
Queen Kong defeated LuFisto when LuFisto passed out in a bearhug in 0:11:22. Rating: *** 1/2 [Miss Elizabeth interfered against Queen Kong.]
Card rating: *** 1/2
Next week, we'll see a huge main event only one day before Through the Gates of Hell, as ODB and Tara teams up against Miss Elizabeth and Queen Kong. Kong and Elizabeth have had their troubles earlier this year, but ODB and Tara probably still needs to bring on their A game. And that means no quarreling!
That also holds true for The Beautiful People, where trouble may be brewing. Madison Rayne doesn't seem to like the direction they're going in, and they don't work as a unit in the ring. Throwing three of them in the gauntlet may have flared the embers a bit though.
We're 8 days away from Through the Gates of Hell!

What a great way to build LuFisto. Wow. She really earned some respect in that match. Definitely makes her more of a contender in my eyes. I didn't think you'd be able to pull it off so good job. Also surprised that TBP are already have troubles again...not sure how this will turn out, but it has me intrigued as well. Good to see Alexis Laree might be making her return soon. And I like the sit-down interview with Miss Elizabeth. Kind of gives her the Stone Cold aura.

TNAW StarStruck - 13.11.2010
Girls Gone Wild (Sarita & Mercedes Martinez) vs The KongTourage (Sojourner Bolt & Gail Kim) w/Prince Nana
It's the final StarStruck before Through the Gates of Hell. Everyone in the StarStruck zone was psyched to say the least, as the four women in the main event for tomorrow's brutal Through the Gates of Hell match met in a tag team contest later on tonight. But first we would see another tag team match between two teams who wanted to test themselves the day before the important PPV. Sarita and Mercedes Martinez were finally able to get their hands on the sleazy super agent Larry Sweeney, and as Martinez took Kim down with a vertical suplex and Sarita followed up with a flying dropkick on the KongTourage member, you couldn't help wonder if they pictured Larry Sweeney standing in her stead. Prince Nana urged his prize tag team on, knowing that a loss here would look bad going in against The Beautiful People in the table match. They managed to isolate Martinez for a couple of minutes, taking advantage of quick tags to keep each other fresh and hold Martinez away from her corner. The Latina Sensation finally made the tag, and Sarita cleaned house with a couple of crisp clotheslines and on-the-spot drop kicks. When Prince Nana jumped on the apron to grab the referee's attention, Larry Sweeney ran in and pulled Sarita out of the ring. Sarita took chase, but was met with a big boot from Sara Del Rey. Inside the ring, Mercedes Martinez was overpowered by the KongTourage, falling to the Gory Bomb from Bolt.
The Kongtourage (Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt) defeated Girls Gone Wild (Sarita and Mercedes Martinez) when Bolt pinned Martinez with the Gory Bomb in 0:11:13. Rating: ** 1/2 [Larry Sweeney interfered against Sarita.]
Sweeney comments on GGW loss So Cal Val catches up with Larry Sweeney and asks him about his forthcoming match tomorrow night. Sweeney wants to focus on Girls Gone Wild losing here tonight, a loss they would not have suffered with him in their corner. Val tries to argue the fact that if he hasn't intervened on behalf of the KongTourage, they might not have lost at all. Sweeney ignores that fact and says that tomorrow night, Girls Gone Wild will lose - but that it will be their last loss in a very long time. With him behind the wheels, they will have belts around their waists in no time.
Hemme gathers a foursome Backstage, Christy Hemme has gathered Lacey von Erich, Christina von Eerie, Traci Brooks and Shark Girl - all participants in the Gauntlet Match tomorrow. Hemme explains to them that they will fight in a four-corner match now, and the loser will start out the gauntlet. Von Eerie wants to know why the four of them have been singled out for this, and why Blake, Rayne or Hamada isn't among them. Lacey reasons that since the four of them has the worst statistics in TNAW, this makes sense. Also - this will be a Loser's Fourway. Von Eerie calls Lacey a teacher's pet before walking off.
Christina von Eerie vs Lacey von Erich vs Shark Girl vs Traci Brooks - loser starts the gauntlet tomorrow
You can't hide the fact that neither of these four girls have had much success in TNAW, but that may all change tomorrow night, when the winner of the Gauntlet will be declared the top contender for the Maiden Title. A loss here would almost certainly put the loser in a most unfavorable position, as she would have to win six matches in a row. As the point of this match was more or less to avoid losing, von Eerie and Brooks ganged up on Shark Girl early on, trying to pin her simultaneously. Lacey von Erich took pity on the pink fish, breaking the pin and earning more of von Eeries scorn. This match wasn't very pretty, and eventually it broke down into Brooks and von Erich tangling on the mat trying various submission moves, and von Eerie trying to unmask Shark Girl. Shark Girl responded with bites and headbutts, driving von Eerie away. When the mohawk sporting goth again tried to grab hold of Shark Girl, she received a kick in the gut and the Chummer (Stunner variation) from Shark Girl - who wins the match.
Four Corners Match: Shark Girl defeated Christina von Eerie, Traci Brooks and Lacey Von Erich when Shark Girl pinned von Eerie with the Chummer in 0:07:23. Rating: -1/2*
Eve Torres vs Sara Del Rey w/Larry Sweeney
Facing Sara Del Rey the day before her Guitar on a pole-match with Jillian Jones may not have been the smartest move by Eve Torres, but the former dancer held her own against the veteran, at least until the strong Sara caught her handspring elbow attempt and dumped her with a suplex. Del Rey started a severe beating of Torres at this point, kicking and hitting her "pretty face" as Larry Sweeney commented on from the announce table. Torres earned a comeback reversing an irish whip and connecting with a clothesline, following it up with a moonsault. Sara went for the Butterfly Suplex later in the match, but Torres blocked it and hit the ropes for a sunset flip for a two count. As Sweeney left the announce booth to distract ref Mattano, Jillian Jones ran in and slid a guitar to Sara Del Rey. Torres reached it first, and smashed it unceremoniously over Sara's head, prompting the DQ. As Jillian retreated, Eve told her that she would be next.
Sara Del Rey defeated Eve Torres by disqualification in 0:08:30. Rating: * 1/2
Jillian visiting an old friend We see video footage from Jillian Jones visiting Alexis Laree at home. Jillian is talking nonstop about her singles career, her music career and how she's going to smash that guitar through Eve Torres' stupid head. Alexis seems less than amused as she limps around the apartment. Jillian then asks if Alexis wants to be there to stand in her corner. Alexis shakes her head no, saying that it looks like Jillian does fine on her own.
A video plays running down all the matches for tomorrow's PPV
Miss Elizabeth & Queen Kong w/Prince Nana vs. ODB & Tara
The biggest main event in StarStruck history started with Miss Elizabeth refusing to get in the ring with her partner, Queen Kong, forcing the champ to fight handicap against ODB and Tara for some while. Tara and ODB dominated Kong, until Tara took offense to a less than friendly tag/slap from ODB. The jaw-jacking that followed allowed Kong to mow them both down with a double clothesline. She then took Tara down with a powerslam and flying off with a splash on ODB. Miss Elizabeth found it prudent to enter the ring at this point, kneeing her in the stomach and hitting a Stamford Slam on her own partner! She then took ODB out of the ring with a clothesline, vaulting over herself and beating on ODB while Tara hit the Widow's Peak on Kong back in the ring. StarStruck went black as Tara, not celebrating her win at all, jumped out of the ring and clubbed Elizabeth in the back.
ODB and Tara defeated Miss Elizabeth and Queen Kong when Tara pinned Kong with the Widow's Peak in 0:10:27. Rating: ***
Card rating: * 3/4
Tomorrow night is one of the biggest nights in TNAW's history. Through the Gates of Hell will be one of the biggest and most extravagant PPV's women's wrestling has ever seen, as all active and well wrestlers on the roster will be in action!
Gauntlet Match 7 girls will fight each other, one by one, for the chance to win the Maiden Title. Former champion Hamada may be the obvious favorite, but if The Beautiful People can get their team-work together, Madison Rayne or Jennifer Blake may walk out the winner as well.
Guitar on a pole-match Eve Torres and Jillian Jones have been at each other's throats ever since Jillian returned from injury and Eve Torres debuted. The part-time country singer has used her guitar liberally in her outings with Eve, and the former dancer is sick and tired of it. Now the odds are evened out, as both girls have a guitar in the corner. Guitars are legal, but who will grab the pinfall?
Match for Girls Gone Wild's contract Larry Sweeney has been a thorn in Sarita and Martinez' side for some time now, but always hides behind her women-at-arms, Sara Del Rey. GGW said that they would do anything to get Sweeney in the ring, and Sweeney countered with this stipulation. They would get Larry and Sara in the ring, but if GGW lost, their contracts would be Larry Sweeney's for one full year. Larry sees huge potential in the latina girls, while GGW sees their feet going through Larry's ass.
Table Elimination Match for the Tag Team Titles The Beautiful People regained their tag-team belts at Pretty Amazing, and the new tandem of Angelina Love and Velvet Sky is looking forward to defend their belts in this hostile environment. The only way to win this match is to put both the members of the opposite team through a table. One of the teams will wear gold after this one, while the other will be wearing a lot of band aids.
Maiden Title Match - Hardcore Rules Nattie Neidhart decided this stipulation before she knew her opponent - bad move. LuFisto was once known as the Queen of Hardcore, and made her name wrestling huge, muscled, tattooed guys in death matches. The two canadians have clashed before, but in these kind of matches, LuFisto has the upper hand. This will be bloody and violent!
Through the Gates of Hell Match The four biggest names in TNAW today - world champion Queen Kong, Tara, Miss Elizabeth and ODB - will be locked in a cage encompassing not only the ring, but also the ringside area. There they will fight in a match with no rules, and where the purpose is to throw the three other women OUT of the cage. The Era of Kong has seen the rise of the most dominant women's champion in ages, but against three determined top wrestlers, that might not be enough. Who knows? Maybe the other three will be able to put their differences aside and work together in order to throw Kong out of the cage right away? This will be a match for the ages!

Sweeney's involvement with Girls Gone Wild has really given them a personality that they needed. I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this. Kind of surprised by the negative star rating, but that's okay. I don't usually focus too much on them anyways. Glad to see Von Eerie take the loss as out of all the people in the gauntlet she would be the main one I wouldn't want to win. Eesh, Sara eating a guitar can't bode well for her in tomorrow's tag match. I can't wait for Laree's return. I might just not be remembering things correctly, but isn't that Kong's first pinfall loss? At the most it has to only be her second. Predictions: I could see Blake coming out the victor in the gauntlet causing some more problems for TBP. I think Torres beats Jones, but this match really is a toss up. I don't know how far you will take Jones if you keep the comedy gimmick of her not singing well. Sweeney and Del Rey almost have to win here to continue the feud with GGW. I'm looking forward to seeing how Sweeney manages them and how they react. TBP retains here, I think. Neidhart better beat LuFisto. You've done a good job of building up LuFisto, but I don't think she's in the league of Neidhart. I like Neidhart winning here and showing a more hardcore side of herself. Through the Gates of Hell is going to be a tough one to call. This could be a nice way to get the Title off of Kong without her being pinned...but I think you let her hold on to the Title for awhile longer. Kong goes over lastly eliminating Tara.

Kong was pinned by Miss Elizabeth in the Street Fight at Girls Night Out in March, but it's certainly not every day she's pinned, and definetely something I should play up more often.
Thanks for the comments and the predictions. I simmed and wrote the PPV yesterday, and I'll try to post it this weekend.

TNAW Through the Gates of Hell MMX - 14.11.2010
7-Woman Gauntlet Match:
All 7 contestants entered the ringside area, The Beautiful People walking out on their own and sticking together as Christy Hemme explained how she wanted this to work out. As we saw last night on StarStruck, Christina von Eerie would be the first in the ring, and Christy would then randomly draw her first opponent. Christy added that a timer would be set on each match, and if a match exceeded 5 minutes, they would add a top-rope elimination rule so that this wouldn't take all day. As it would turn out, only 1 match went beyond the 5-minute limit.
To TBP's chagrin, Jennifer Blake was drawn as von Eerie's opponent (it was 50% chance for a TBP-member after all), but Blake didn't seem phased by that. Von Eerie is still a rookie though, and Blake's experience was too much for the youngster to handle. Blake even pulled out the Dynamite Destroyer again (a move that was originally banned, but is now allowed again). Next in was Traci Brooks, but last year's Wrestling Playmate didn't fare much better, and fell to a superkick from Girl Dynamite. Next one up was Lacey von Erich! As we have seen earlier on StarStruck from a Beautiful People board meeting, any inter-party meetings would be decided via stone, scissors, papers. Even this took some time, as Lacey and Jennifer always picked the same. On the outside, Madison told them to fight like real girls. Finally, Lacey picked scissors while Blake picked paper, and Blake laid down for the third generation superstar.
As Christy drew Madison as the next competitor, Dave Prazak groaned over the thought of another prolonged stone, scissors, papers contest. After some persuasion from Lacey and Jennifer, Madison agreed to play, but lost straight up (stone beats scissors). Madison started cursing, and Lacey offered her another shot, best of 3. Madison lost that one too, and threw a tantrum in the middle of the ring. Lacey turned towards Jennifer, shrugging and not really knowing what to do. Madison then took advantage of Lacey's distraction, rolling her up for a quick pinfall! Lacey and Jennifer were shocked and angry, but stood obediently by as they saw Madison make short work of Shark Girl, pinning the pitiful creature after a Running Big Boot.
Former Maiden Champion and the first to have held the belt, Hamada, was the final one to enter the gauntlet. Even though Madison had technically fought two matches prior to this one, she hadn't exactly worn herself out. That's why we saw an evenly matched fight between two women who really wanted to test their mettle against whoever came out on the winning end of tonight's Hardcore match between LuFisto and Nattie Neidhart. You could perhaps say that The Beautiful People have some problems agreeing on things, but you must commend Blake and von Erich on their loyalty. They stuck around cheering for Rayne and when, after the 5 minute limit had passed, Hamada backdropped Rayne over the ropes and unto the apron, they held her steady so that she wouldn't fall to the floor. Hamada lunged at Rayne with a springboard dropkick, but Rayne dropped down flat on the apron, causing Hamada to land on the ropes and bounce out onto the floor. Madison Rayne is the top contender for the Maiden Title!
Madison Rayne won a 7-woman Gauntlet Match: x J. Blake defeated von Eerie after the Dynamite Destroyer in 0:03:47 x J. Blake defeated Traci with a superkick in 0:05:21 x Lacey defeated J. Blake with a pinfall in 0:07:19 x M. Rayne defeated Lacey after a roll up in 0:09:25 x M. Rayne defeated Shark Girl after the Running Big Boot in 0:12:11 x M. Rayne defeated Hamada with an over the ropes elimination in 0:19:57 Rating: **
Alexis showing up Backstage, Jillian Jones is preparing for her match later tonight (warming up her voice), when Alexis Laree limps in. Jillian asks why she's here, and Alexis replies that she's here to make sure the guitar on a pole-match gets a deserving winner. No shortcuts, no cheating. "The Special One" looks offended, and tells Laree that even though she got hit by a car, she doesn't have to be mean to her. Alexis wishes Jillian good luck, and leaves.
Larry Sweeney & Sara Del Rey vs Girls Gone Wild (Sarita & Mercedes Martinez
Girls Gone Wild finally got their hands on the sleazeball Sweeney, and as the manager/part-time wrestler strutted out in his old, purple wrestling outfit, complete with a pink boa and a cherry-colored robe, you couldn't help but want Sarita and Martinez to kick his ass bad. As usual though, Sweeney hid behind Del Rey for as long as he could, only tagging in when Del Rey already had everything under control. He landed a few elbows on Martinez early on, but when the Latina Sensation didn't buckle at a shoulderblock attempt, Sweeney scurried back and tagged in Del Rey.
Even though Del Rey is a powerhouse and an iron woman, she cannot take on Sarita and Martinez both, leading to Martinez almost taking home the victory with a fisherman buster. Only a long and sharp toe from Sweeney poking Martinez in the ribs prevented the win. He was chased out by Sarita, who caught up with Sweeney right next to the announce table. As Sarita was about to punch away on Sweeney, he grabbed her and kissed her! Sweeney looked as shocked as Sarita, but was quickly brought back down to earth when she slapped him hard. Sweeney pivoted and slapped her back. They then stared at each other for a second before they started to make out right in front of Prazak and Lauren, who screamed out in disgust. Back in the ring, Del Rey capitalized on this distraction and put Martinez away with the Butterfly Suplex.
[Match for Girls Gone Wilds` contracts]: Sara Del Rey and Larry Sweeney defeated Girls Gone Wild (Sarita and Mercedes Martinez) when Del Rey pinned Martinez with the Royal Butterfly in 0:08:55. Rating: ***
It looks like Sweeney's got Sarita and Martinez' signatures, and by the looks of it, it's not the only thing Sarita'll give him tonight.
Eve Torres vs Jillian Jones in a Guitar on a Pole match
The match between these two alternated between an outright brawl and a classic cat fight, as they punched and kicked, clawed and bit each other. Even though the guitars on two poles in opposite corners of the ring were fair game, this was still a match with rules, and Jones was almost disqualified when she wouldn't release a chokehold on Torres. It was also a match where pinfall and submission counted as usual, and Torres almost succeeded with a roll up just after Jones' was reprimanded. There weren't so many pinfall attempts though, as neither really wanted the match to end without being the one smashing the other one's head in with a guitar. Jillian was the first to touch the guitar, but Torres brought her back down with a belly to back superplex. Instead, it was Eve who retrieved her guitar first, but Jillian pulled ref Rosenberg in her way, causing the ref to black out from Torres' vicious guitar shot. The otherwise sympathetic Torres seems to have been effected by this feud, as she dropkicked Jones out of the ring and went for the other guitar. Then, Alexis Laree came running down towards the ring with a guitar of her own, jumped up on the apron and blasted Eve with it. A confused Jillian got back into the ring, but there was no count from the ref. Finally, Laura Mattano came running and counted, but Eve kicked out at two! It had simply gone too long, and she had recuperated somewhat. Double J then climbed and retrieved the second guitar (or third, if you count the one Laree brought with her) and unceremoniously smashed it through Eve's head. Torres fell to her knees and on her face, and Jillian could roll her over and pin her for the win.
Guitar On A Pole Match: Jillian Jones pinned Eve Torres after 0:11:27. Rating: * 1/2 [Alexis Laree interfered against Eve Torres.]
After the match, Jillian and Alexis celebrated in the ring, Alexis leg not nearly as injured as we thought. It looks like The Intruders will be back in action before you know it!
Girls Gone Wild celebration Backstage, Larry Sweeney, Sara Del Rey and Girls Gone Wild are partying and celebrating. Larry does most of the partying though, as he struts and dances around, telling Sarita and Mercedes to throw some bead necklaces to him. Sarita then tells him to flash them. Larry pulls up his shirt, baring his... eh... chest? to the girls who laugh and throw him some beads in true Mardi Gras fashion. So Cal Val asks Sarita what prompted her to go from hate to lust in her relationship with Sweeney. Sarita says that Larry is so vibrant and full of life, it's impossible to not hate him and love him on the same time. She caresses him seductively and says that he's the "Sweet & Sour" to her "Hot Chili" (whatever that means). Throughout this spectacle, Mercedes looks mildly amused and not bothered by the loss, while Sara Del Rey looks like she's ready to pop a vein. It's not every day the winner of a match is the most blue of them all.
The Beautiful People (c) vs The Kongtourage w/Prince Nana in a tables elimination match for the TNAW Tag Team Titles
It's time for our first of three back-to-back title matches of the evening. Former friends turned foes turned friends again, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, won the tag-team belts from The KongTourage at Pretty Amazing, and was looking forward to defending them here tonight in this table eliminations match. Since each team only has two wrestlers, having your partner eliminated first left you with practically no chance.
Despite the volatile nature of the match, Kim and Love tangled up with some nice, crisp action early on, Love really showing while she still uses the moniker Miss Wrestling, as she clasped on various submission moves. Bolt is a firehouse and a suplex machine, turning and twisting Sky in every direction before driving her down to the ground, back or front first. It didn't take long before the tables started coming out, each wrestler's respective partner pulling out and sliding tables into the ring. The tag structure broke down really early, and while a table stood in two corners of the ring, all four brawled in the center. Suddenly, almost simultaneously, Kim and Sky hit a suplex each, sending both Love and Bolt through a table. Both of them thought that their team would get an advantage now, but quickly realized that they were square. As Prince Nana helped Bolt out of the ring, and Love crawled out of her own, Sky and Kim slugged it out, Sky propelling Kim into the table debris with a flying headscissors. Unfortunately for her, they needed a fresh table. They fighting continued, and they ended up on the outside, right next to the announce table. Lauren said she really hoped these two didn't start kissing too, a comment that Dave Prazak strongly disagreed with. Kim went for Eat Defeat, but Sky twisted herself out of the attempt and hit a DDT on Kim, causing Kim's head to bounce off the anounce table. Sky then pulled Kim over the announce table, climbed up on it and hit an elbow drop, caushing the table to break and The Beautiful People to retain.
Elimination Table Match: The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky) beat The Kongtourage (Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt) 2 falls to 1: x Kim beat Love via putting her through a table in 0:07:49 x Sky beat Bolt via putting her through a table in 0:07:49 x Sky beat Gail via putting her through a table in 0:12:24 Survivors: Velvet Sky Rating: *** 1/4 (The Beautiful People retained the TNAW Tag-Team Titles.) [Prince Nana interfered against Velvet Sky.]
The Beautiful People celebrate Velvet Sky returns to the locker room with hers and Angelina's belts. Love is being tended to by a physician, but they all hug and celebrate. Jennifer Blake then brings up the fact that Madison violated a TBP Board ruling in order to give herself an advantage. Madison protests, saying that she never agreed to lay down, and that she wouldn't lay down for anyone! Lacey asks Madison if that's why she's so cranky all the time, and points out that good girls need a good time too. Madison doesn't get the innuendo, but tells Blake and von Erich that what they did back there was a disgrace. Velvet then tells everyone to shut up, and to celebrate the fact that TBP is still the tag-team champions and now also has the top contender to the Maiden Title.
LuFisto with her bin of surprises Backstage, LuFisto is pulling a wheeled trashcan after her. She's dressed in street clothes, and is whistling on the tune from Kill Bill. So Cal Val catches up with her and asks LuFisto what's in the trashcan. LuFisto proudly presents a broom, a wooden rake, a shovel, a typewriter (?), an empty bottle of beer, a stop sign, an old cellphone (of the kind you had in the back of your truck) and something hidden in a canvas bag. LuFisto only calls it "Barbie". So Cal Val asks if it's a barbed wire bat, but LuFisto gasps in shock. "Heavens, no," she says, opens the bag and reveals a Barbie doll. "Well, I don't need this," LuFisto says and tosses it away. Suddenly, we hear Val scream as someone shoulders the camera man out of the way and everything goes black.
LuFisto vs Nattie Neidhart (c) w/Jim Neidhart in a Hardcore match for the TNAW Maiden Title
After some confusing seconds in which Dave and Lauren aren't sure what's going on, a new cameraman catches sight of LuFisto and Nattie brawling backstage, the former cameraman lying on the floor, obviously shouldertackled into unconsciousness by Jim Neidhart. Even though Nattie gained the upper hand through her sneak attack, the feisty LuFisto soon got in a few licks, irish whipping Nattie into the concrete wall. LuFisto then dragged Nattie with her to the ring alongside her trashcan of weapons. Both the broom and the shovel were used against Nattie's backside, causing the Maiden titleholder to scream out in pain. LuFisto then emptied all the contents of the trashcan, but this allowed Nattie to regroup. She gouged LuFisto in the eyes and bodyslammed LuFisto on top of the trashcan. Jim had brought some weapons of his own to this match, which he handed out to Nattie. First up was a steel pipe, which Nattie used to choke the life out of LuFisto. She didn't do it for long though, as LuFisto used a judo throw to save herself. The match continued in this hardcore environment, but Nattie also tried the Sharpshooter. Just as on StarStruck a month ago, Nattie escaped it rather easily. Later, LuFisto clocked Nattie on the ring bell (which was on the floor together with Prazak and Lauren, as the table had been broken during the last match) and even pulled out a bag of thumbtacks which she spread in the ring. She then lifted Nattie up on her shoulders for the Burning Hammer, but daddy Jim pulled her down. As the angry LuFisto walked firm towards the retreating Neidhart, shovel in hand, Nattie picked up the discarded steel pipe and blasted LuFisto's leg. Super Hardcore Anime buckled, and Nattie tried the Sharpshooter again, this time using the metal bar as leverage in the hold. The pain must have been excruciating for LuFisto, but she didn't tap out. In fact, she was laughing to ref Remsburg as he asked her if she would give in. When her consciousness faded though, Remsburg awarded the match to Neidhart - who retains.
Hardcore Match: Nattie Neidhart defeated LuFisto when LuFisto passed out in the Sharpshooter in 0:11:03. Rating: **** 1/4 (Nattie Neidhart retained the TNAW Maiden Title.)
Miss Elizabeth vs ODB vs Queen Kong (c) w/Prince Nana vs Tara for the TNAW World Title in a Through the Gates of Hell Match
It was time for the biggest match in TNAW history. As the huge cage descended over the ring and ring area, the four participants stood in each of the four corners, just waiting for the ring bell to sound. As it did, ODB and Tara charged Kong's corner, driving the champ to cower as they rained blows upon her. Miss Elizabeth bided her time, waiting in the ring for someone to come at her. When Tara and OBD decided to deposit Kong out the door, Elizabeth decided to help though, and got into ODB's face in how to best approach the daunting task of throwing Kong out a door. As ODB and Elizabeth started to brawl, Kong saw an opportunity and took Tara down with a clothesline. She tried pushing Tara out the door, but the former champed blocked the attempt and gave Kong an elbow over the ear.
Tara and Kong went back into the ring to do battle, Tara even hitting the Widow's Peak on the champ. On the outside, Elizabeth had ODB right where she wanted her, raking her face across the cage and hitting a Stamford Slam on the outside. Elizabeth motioned for the attendants to open the cage door, but ODB reversed the irish whip, sending Elizabeth out the door! Elizabeth caught the sides of the door, halting her momentum. As she turned around though, ODB charged her and hit a dropkick, sending Miss Elizabeth out of the cage and out of the match. It took its toll on ODB though, as she fell flat on her back on the concrete floor. As she writhed in agony, Tara tried to pull Kong out of the ring, but even though Kong was beaten and bruised, she had enough wherewithal to hold onto the ringpost. Tara, giving up for the moment being, went over to ODB who slowly made her way back to her feet, clutching her back. Tara started slugging at ODB, giving her a couple of forearms to the back to soften her back up even more. Tara then irish whipped ODB towards the door, but the attendants weren't ready and ODB slammed against the steel mesh door. As ODB turned around, the attendants opened the door just in time for Tara to shoulderblock ODB out of the cage.
It was now down to Tara and Queen Kong, and Tara was all over Kong on the outside, jabbing at her sides and slamming her head into the ringpost. They were on the opposite side of the door when something incredible happened. Kong screamed out in rage and grabbed hold of Tara's throat. She then choke-slammed her into the cage wall with such a brute force that the wall collapsed, sending Tara sprawling. The bell rang, signifying that Queen Kong had retained in this sick, brutal match!
Through the Gates of Hell Match: Queen Kong defeated Miss Elizabeth, ODB and Tara: x ODB beat Elizabeth via drop-kicking her out of the cage in 0:11:38 x Tara beat ODB via shouldertackling her out of the cage in 0:15:32 x Kong beat Tara via choke-slamming her through the cage in 0:18:57 Rating: *** (Queen Kong retained the TNAW World Title.)
Card rating: ** 1/2
Match observations:
What a tremendous PPV! We have seen everything from stone, scissors, papers contests and broken tables to steel pipes and cages. No titles changed hands, but what we've seen here today will have consequences, both short-term and long-term. What will happen with The Beautiful People? Who will be Queen Kong's next challenger? And will everyone involved in Through the Gates of Hell be the same as before?
Watch StarStruck, and find out!

- Looks like Rayne is getting a little more serious. Poor Lacey got the short end of the stick there. Rayne-Neidhart (I think she beats LuFisto) would be a very interesting feud. - Alexis Laree is in the arena! Yes! - Whoa! Did not expect Sweeney and Sarita to start making out. You definitely swerved me on that one. Now I just feel bad for Martinez who is stuck with Sweeney as her manager. Sheesh. I love this. It leaves me really wanting to see what happens at Starstruck. - Ah, man! Was hoping for a Laree face run. I guess she fits in pretty well as a heel, I just hope she isn't stuck in a tag team. Since Miss Elizabeth and Awesome Kong both are kind of monster heels, Laree would work as your "smart" top heel. - Uhh...the GGW celebration was rather ... disgusting. This turn is really out of the blue, and it definitely gives Del Rey some personality since she does not appear happy. I like where this is going, but I'm still kind of in shock. I'll have to go take a look at some past cards to see if there was any clue to Sarita's crush. - I'm happy TBP retained. - I'm also pleased the Nattie retained her title. Great match write-up. And the Neidharts going up against TBP should be fun. - Kong wins! Kong wins! The match was done very well and kept everybody pretty strong coming out of it. I'm glad it was Kong retaining though. Great PPV. It really did have a touch of everything and kept me interested the entire time. I have no idea who is next in line for a World Title shot, but maybe somebody we don't expect? Not sure, but looking forward to it.

Thanks for the comments Josh!
Sarita making out with Sweeney was actually something I came up with on the fly, so you won't find any clues to it in past cards. I still have no idea if it was a good move, but turning Girls Gone Wild heel(ish) has always been the plan as I didn't really have any heel tag teams before Laree returns in January 2011.
I just found out that Mickie James's actually called Mickie James, so I have no idea why I changed her name back to her old Alexis Laree. I'm actually wondering if I should just call her Mickie James. No, she's not stuck in the Intruders tag-team. I always envisioned her and Jillian like a modern day female equivalent of Hall & Nash - so they can go both tag and singles and be threats in both divisions.
TBP is immensely interesting to write and book for. I have storyline plans for them all the way to next summer, so I'm looking forward to that. I think that is something that motivates me to write and book this every week, I really want to see my plans for the next six months come to fruition, so I have to keep going forward.
Kong's next challenger.. well, it'll probably be revealed on the next StarStruck.

TNAW StarStruck - 20.11.2010
Christy reviews tonight`s roster With a camera and So Cal Val over her shoulder, Christy reviews her e-mails and text messages, and makes a list. LuFisto, Eve Torres, Angelina Love, Nattie Neidhart and ODB are all out for tonight's edition of StarStruck due to the injuries sustained at Through the Gates of Hell. Val asks Hemme if it was worth putting the wrestlers through the matches of the PPV, but Hemme discards the question, stating that they all knew what they went to, and that they will put on a great StarStruck nevertheless.
Miss Elizabeth vs. Traci Brooks
Miss Elizabeth didn't capture the belt at Through the Gates of Hell, but made short work of Traci Brooks here tonight. Elizabeth dumped her on her head with the Stamford Slam, and then did another one just for fun. She looked mildly deranged as she pushed ref Remsburg away when he raised her hand.
Miss Elizabeth pinned Traci Brooks with the Stamford Slam in 0:02:30. Rating: ** 1/2
TBP Board Meeting The Beautiful People hold another board meeting. First item on the agenda is Madison's unacceptable behavior at TtGoH. Rayne defends herself, saying that they shouldn't make a mockery out of the sport and the fans by laying down. Blake and von Erich say that while that may be true, they agreed on a plan, and should've stuck with it. Rayne retaliates by saying that Lacey wouldn't have defeated Hamada anyway, so this was TBP's only chance of a title shot. Sky suggests to postpone any decision on this, as Angelina isn't here. This brings up another question, as they have a tag-team title shot against the Kongtourage. Sky says that they have to cancel the match, but Rayne somehow manages to convince Sky to invoke the Freebird-rule, so that the two of them can defend the belt. Sky votes blank, Blake votes against and Lacey votes for (since Rayne promised to buy her a new bag from Marc Jacobs).
The Beautiful People (Rayne & Sky) (c) vs The KongTourage (Kim & Bolt) w/Nana for the TNAW Tag Team Titles
Prince Nana made a fuss about Rayne defending in Love's stead, but when Sky made it clear to the ghanese prince that it was either this or no match at all, he relented. Rayne and Sky have been partners for a long time, and regained their stride in no time, as the KongTourage struggled to find their way into the match. The crowd went wild as TBP hit their opponents with crisp double-team action. Kim and Bolt eventually managed to isolate Sky, working over her for a few minutes. Finally, Velvet was able to duck a cross body from Bolt and slowly crawled over to Rayne who extended her arm to her friend in dire need and then... tagged her! Rayne was a house of fire, hitting Bolt and Kim with clotheslines and bodyslams, sending Kim over the ropes. Sky was back up now, catching Bolt with a russian legsweep at the same moment as Rayne hits her with a yakuza kick. Their old finisher move - The Makeover! Kim tries to make the save, but Jennifer Blake has come ringside, and holds Kim back. Rayne makes the pin, and TBP retains. As they walk out with their belts (or in Rayne's case, Angelina's belt), Lacey and Jennifer joins them in celebration (albeit a somewhat muted celebration).
TNAW Tag Team Title Match: The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) defeated The Kongtourage (Gail Kim and Sojourner Bolt) when M. Rayne pinned Bolt after the Makeover in 0:10:15. (The Beautiful People retained the TNAW Tag-Team Title Belts) Rating: *** 1/4
Prince Nana`s invitational battle royal Prince Nana walks to the ring alone, having apparently forgotten about The KongTourage's third consecutive loss to The Beautiful People. He rants on about the mighty Queen Kong and how unstoppable she is. He realizes that the fans of TNAW might feel that there isn't any excitement or thrill left in TNAW, because the Queen would be champ until she dies of old age. That's why Prince Nana, in his generosity, will host an invitational Battle Royal, where the winner will be given 5000 US Dollars. The 10 first wrestlers to hit the ring was invited, as long as they hadn't wrestled earlier tonight.
As they all filtered down into the ring, Lacey von Erich, Jennifer Blake, Girls Gone Wild and Sara Del Rey, Hamada and Shark Girl, Dave Prazak and Lauren commented that this would be an really open match, but that Sweeney's girls may have the advantage. This all changed dramatically as Queen Kong entered the ring as the ninth contestant. Dave noted that there probably isn't 10 available girls tonight, but they would have to make do with 9. The 8 other girls did the sensible thing and ganged up on Kong, but she seemed like an immovable object. Losing both Blake and von Erich to eliminations from Girls Gone Wild didn't help thing either. Del Rey didn't play ball with her teammates either, dumping Mercedes out of the ring. This didn't go very well with Sarita, and the two started to brawl, allowing Kong to clothesline both over the ropes. We were then left with Hamada, Jillian Jones and Kong (Hamada having eliminated Shark Girl pretty easily), and Hamada tried to chop the giant redwood down with precise strikes to Kong's thighs. Jones tried to stay out of harm's way, and was blindsided by Tara sliding into the ring and dumping Jones out. Nana tried to object, but the ringside referees pointed out that he had extended the invitation to the first 10 girls to hit the ring. Tara was number 10, and had not wrestled earlier that night. As Kong eliminated Hamada, she raised her arms in victory, and didn't see Tara dropkicking her in the back, causing her to stumble over the ropes and crash to the ground. Tara had won the battle royal - and would be receiving a 5000 dollar check from Prince Nana in the near future.
[Prince Nana`s $5000 Battle Royal Invitational]: 10-Man Battle Royal: Tara won a 10-man Battle Royal: x Martinez threw out Lacey in 0:01:45 x Sarita threw out Blake in 0:01:48 x Del Rey threw out Martinez in 0:03:23 x Kong threw out Del Rey after a clothesline in 0:05:52 x Kong threw out Sarita after a clothesline in 0:05:52 x Hamada threw out Shark Girl in 0:06:58 x Tara threw out Jones after in 0:09:05 x Kong threw out Hamada after a back elbow in 0:09:14 x Tara threw out Kong after a dropkick in 0:09:22 Rating: ** 1/2
The referees had to physically restrict Queen Kong from entering the ring and laying waste to Tara. Nana was livid as well, grabbing a microphone and telling Tara that she wouldn't see a penny of his 5000 dollars. Tara answered that she didn't care about the 5000 dollars, all she wanted was a one-on-one-match with Tara for the belt. Nana laughed, saying that she has had her chance, and that the Queen doesn't see the need to grant her another title shot. As far as he was concerned, Tara had to work her way back up the ladder. As Kong and Nana retreated, Tara made belt signs to her waist as StarStruck went off the air.
Card rating: ** 3/4
An injury ridden StarStruck ended with a fan favorite match, the Battle Royal. Prince Nana's terms gave Tara the chance to enter unseen and late in the match, stealing the win from the dominant Queen Kong. Whether Tara will receive a check - or a title match - is uncertain however.
Madison Rayne continues to create uncertainty within The Beautiful People, but you can't help but think that she has a point.
Watch StarStruck next week, hopefully the injury list will be shorter.

TNAW Behind the Scenes
The TV ratings for StarStruck has declined rapidly as of late, as the so-called "Trish Stratus"-effect was lost. The final StarStruck before Through the Gates of Hell received only a 0.015 rating, an abysmal rating not seen since before Caged Fury. The PPV buys are still high though. Pretty Amazing got 10 000 buys (but the price was halved). Now the price was back at normal, and TtGoH still got 8000 buys. Spike TV is still looking to honor its agreement (which lasts until February 2011), but if the numbers don't improve soon, StarStruck may be running on its last months. If Spike TV drops StarStruck, it is believed TNAW will still run PPVs (at least if the buys are as good as it has been lately), and run Internet-shows.
Tentative scheduling for next year's PPVs has already begun, and the only change is that Caged Fury and Queen of the Ring has changed places. This is probably for storylines reasons, but many has been skeptical to this long-term booking, as several of the most profiled wrestlers are on short-term contracts. The KongTourage and Miss Elizabeth have all contracts expiring before the end of the year, and nobody have contracts lasting more than six months.
The "injuries" mentioned on last StarStruck are all for storyline reasons and to sell Through the Gates of Hell as a dangerous PPV.

Ouch, lots of people out of tonight's card. Miss Elizabeth deserved that squash. The Freebird rule! I actually have always kind of liked that idea as long as it wasn't used by every team. TBP using it is perfectly acceptable. Hopefully they retain. I like the little fake swerve with Rayne tagging in. Looks like we are going back to Kong-Tara. Not a bad decision as she really seems like the only credible threat to Kong's title. Kind of scary hearing about all the contracts running out. There's nothing worse than trying to book long term when you know at least 2-3 of your wrestlers won't be there. Starstruck better not get canceled or I'll have to call up SpikeTV. This is a much better show than Impact!

TNAW StarStruck - 27.11.2010
Hamada vs. Jennifer Blake
We're back with another edition of StarStruck, hopefully one not as injury ridden as previous week. Show opened with a fast-paced encounter between "Girl Dynamite" Jennifer Blake and Hamada. Hamada looks a little lost in the shuffle after her failure to win the Gauntlet Match at Through the Gates of Hell, but it doesn't seem like she's lost a step, taking it to Blake with some crisp aerial maneuvers. Blake did a number on Hamada's midsection with a spear, and Blake continued to work on Hamada's abdomen for the rest of the match, giving her several shoulderblocks in the corner. Hamada rocked back with an enzuigiri, but Blake rolled away from the moonsault follow-up. Blake went for the Dynamite Destroyer, but Hamada twisted her way out of her grip and locked in an excruciating double armbar submission. Gritting through her teeth, Blake tried to squirm out of it, but didn't succeed and had to call it quits.
Hamada defeated Jennifer Blake when Jennifer Blake passed out in a double armbar submission in 0:08:55. Rating: *** 1/2
Gail Kim revenge attack After the match, Blake was in the ring rubbing her sore tendons, when Gail Kim ran in and attacked Blake, punching her several times and hitting her with Eat Defeat. Lacey von Erich and Angelina Love ran in to chase her away. As she walked through the crowd, Kim told the cameras that Blake is at fault for them not winning the tag team titles, clearly referencing to last week, when Blake prevented Kim from making the save after Madison Rayne hitting Bolt with the Makeover.
Sweeney making demands Larry Sweeney walks into Christy Hemme's office, demanding that Girls Gone Wild is given a title shot at Pride and Glory. Hemme looks up from her computer, nods and says "OK" and looks back down. Sweeney doesn't seem to listen, and goes on about how Girls Gone Wild are the best contenders out there and Hemme can't keep them out of the title picture forever. Hemme reminds him that she said "OK", she agrees that Girls Gone Wild deserves a title shot. Sweeney gets all suspicious and asks what's the catch. Hemme says there's no catch, and to prepare his girls for the PPV. "That was easy," he mumbles, but then realizes he's a super agent and that it was probably his master negotiating skills that sealed the deal.
Torres interview So Cal Val is talking to Eve Torres, who is upset about losing the Guitar on a pole-match due to outside interference from Mickie James. She doesn't have time to say much more, as Miss Elizabeth blindsides her and pushes her down to the floor. "The New" Miss Elizabeth says that nobody cares about that match, and that she was cheated from winning the title that was rightfully hers. Torres gets back up and kicks Elizabeth's legs. Before it erupts to a full-scale brawl, ODB comes between them, telling them to take it out to the ring.
Eve Torres vs Miss Elizabeth
Miss Elizabeth was reluctant taking instructions from ODB, but she clearly needs to vent some frustrations, and doing so in the ring let her do it without security breaking it up. Unfortunately for her, Eve Torres didn't exactly lay down and let Elizabeth stomp all over her, instead taking the fight to her with a flying clothesline. Elizabeth did a number on Torres legs with a Texas Cloverleaf, but Torres managed to kick her off and hit a small package for two. Torres tried to chop, elbow and punch Elizabeth bloody, but Elizabeth didn't register the attacks at all, suddenly grabbing Torres' throat and dropping her with a double-arm choke slam.
Miss Elizabeth pinned Eve Torres after a double-arm choke slam in 0:05:21. Rating: * 3/4
After the match, Elizabeth dropped Torres with the Stamford Slam and started stomping away on her. ODB ran in and pushed Elizabeth away, asking her what's her problem. Elizabeth walked away angrily, apparently not in the mood for a confrontation with ODB.
Matchmaker Madison Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, the tag team champions, are having a manicure backstage when Madison Rayne comes running saying she's set up a match for them. She has been talking to both Jim Neidhart and Larry Sweeney, and they have agreed to team up Mercedes Martinez and Nattie Neidhart against herself and one other member of TBP. Rayne then tells Velvet to get her gear on and come to the ring. Velvet and Love try to explain to Rayne that Sky and Love is a tag team now, and asks why she can't team up with Lacey. Madison starts sucking up to Velvet, telling her that since they worked so well together against The KongTourage last week, they can probably kick Nattie's and Martinez' asses. Love reluctantly tells Sky to lace up.
The Beautiful People (Rayne & Sky) vs Mercedes Martinez w/Larry Sweeney & Nattie Neidhart w/Jim Neidhart
It was crowded ringside in the main event tonight, as Jim Neidhart had one corner, Lacey and Love the other and Sarita and Larry Sweeney sharing a chair next to the announcers. As the match progressed, it was clear that Madison and Velvet's teamwork was a lot more smooth than Martinez and Neidhart's. Sweeney waved it away, saying that Mercedes and Sarita were a lot more well-oiled. Prazak didn't like the innuendo from Sweeney, and asked the camera crew not to focus on Sarita and Sweeney's actions, as there might be kids watching. Madison singled out Nattie eventually, trying to gauge her opponent's strength before their Maiden Title match at Pride and Glory. Rayne quickly discovered that Neidhart's a top athlete, as the Canadian Maiden Champion blocked Rayne's DDT, dumping her with a northern lights suplex. Sky and Martinez also tried to measure each other's strengths and weaknesses. Martinez found out the hard way that Sky isn't easy to pin down for the three, as the tag champ kicked out of Martinez' patented fisherman buster. The match broke down when Neidhart broke up a pin attempt on Martinez, not really wanting to leave the ring. Sky and Rayne worked in tandem, drop kicking Neidhart to the outside. Martinez tried fighting the twosome, but fell to the legsweep/yakuza kick combo of Rayne and Sky - The Makeover!
The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) defeated Mercedes Martinez and Nattie Neidhart when M. Rayne pinned Martinez after a Yakuza kick in 0:09:14. Rating: *** 1/2
After the match, Rayne celebrated like mad, hugging Sky tight and telling her that they are the best tag team in the world. Angelina Love also congratulates her, albeit somewhat more mutedly.
Tara demands a title match At the end of the show, Tara comes out to the ring and demands a match with Queen Kong for the TNAW World Title. Tara says that she has not yet received her one-on-one title match, and she wants to be TNAW World Champion before the end of the year. Queen Kong and Prince Nana come out, the lavishly dressed Prince mocking the fans on his way in. Nana then addresses Tara's request, flatly refusing it. Nana says she has no rights what so ever, since she first gave up her title shot for some personal vendetta, and then lost clearly in the cage two weeks ago. As Tara is about to retort, Nana interjects a but. If Tara agrees to his demands, she can have her match. He hands over a piece of paper to a ringside attendant, who delivers them to Tara. Tara takes a quick glance over the sheet and then tells Kong that she's ON!
Card rating: ** 3/4
An interesting StarStruck to say the least.
Tara has agreed to a set of stipulations from Prince Nana, but there is possibly only three people who knows them! Can more light on this be shed next week?
Also, the intrigues in The Beautiful People are heating up. Right now, Sky and Rayne seems like an unstoppable tag team, but it's Love and Sky who is tag champs, and they really need some match practice before the tag team title match against Girls Gone Wild at Pride and Glory.
