Hey all,
I've been catching up and following King of Old School's WWF 1994 circuit on the official boards for a few months. New people can't register on the official forums, so I wanted to open up space here.
First, I've been really enjoying such a well-booked and nostalgic circuit. Honestly, it's great, and I've spent more time reading this than I have spent following WWF/TNA for the past five years.
Second, I wanted to make predictions for the King of the Ring '94 card coming down the pike:
1. Scott Steiner makes a heel turn either before or after the battle royal to determine the last KOTR entrant and names Sunny announces herself as his manager.
2. Scott Steiner wins the battle royal for the opportunity to face Razor Ramon in the first round at KOTR.
3. The tournament plays out as follows:
First Round
The Undertaker vs. Big Van Vader Big Boss Man vs. Jeff Jarrett Tatanka vs. Bam Bam Bigelow Adam Bomb vs. Mr. Perfect Ted DiBiase vs. Crush Shawn Michaels vs. Marty Jannetty Randy Savage vs. Lex Luger Razor Ramon vs. Scott Steiner
Angles: Steiner wins with help from Sunny. Something shady happens in Vader vs. Undertaker allowing Vader to win it relatively quickly.
Quarterfinals
Vader vs. Big Boss Man
Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Mr. Perfect
Crush vs. Shawn Michaels
Randy Savage vs. Scott Steiner
Angles: Razor Ramon gets revenge on Steiner by distracting him, letting Savage sneak the win. Vader destroys Boss Man quick.
Semifinals
Vader vs. Mr. Perfect
Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Savage
Angles: Mr. Perfect puts up a valiant fight but loses after Harley Race distracts him. Savage and Michaels rekindle their feud from WM X and shoot for ****+ in a 15-20 minute match.
Finals
Vader d. Randy Savage
Angles: Vader cruises to the finals, Savage has a tough slough to get there, in the end Vader is too much and winds up gooshing him with a couple of Vader Bombs.
Future: Vader is put over as a huge monster. His first feud is either a rematch with Savage or Mr. Perfect. Whoever it is, he squashes that person on RAW. Then, 'Taker returns and we get Vader vs. The Undertaker at SummerSlam. Vader probably wins that too, and we get Vader vs. Bret Hart at the Royal Rumble.
Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart at WrestleMania XI.

Hey, thanks a lot for your comments and the interest you have shown in my circuit. I guess it won't be long until we see how close your predictions are!!
Should I post my circuit here or on the TNM7.COM forums in future?

I've taken to posting to both just in case people find one forum easier to go to. If that's too much of a hassle I'm not sure. It seems like both forums have readers that only frequent that specific forum.

WWF Superstars June 11th, 1994 Erie, PA Your commentators are Vince McMahon and Jerry "The King" Lawler.
The Headshrinkers (Fatu and Samu) defeated David Heath and JW Storm when Fatu pinned D. Heath with the Flying Bodypress in 0:04:29. Rating: 3/4* [Afa interfered against JW Storm.]
The Swiss Bobsleigh Team were shown training once more. Alundra announced that the next WWF Tag Team Champions, Lars and Luca, will debut on next week's edition of Superstars. Alundra then cut the promo short as her team had to work on their push starts.
Vince McMahon revealed that in addition to the debut of the Swiss Bobsleigh Team, Duke Droese will defend the Hardcore Title against Big Bully Busick next week on Superstars. Busick then cut a promo on Droese, blaming the wrestling garbageman for his loss to the Big Boss Man on Monday Night RAW. Busick vowed to get his own back by taking Droese's belt.
Sean Mooney interviewed Bob Backlund backstage. Backlund said that as a former WWF Champion, he was disappointed not to be included in the WWF Title tournament at the King of the Ring. Backlund vowed to prove to WWF officials that he deserved to be in it by defeating Ted DiBiase tonight and then go on to win the battle royal on Monday Night RAW.
Ted DiBiase pinned Bob Backlund with the Million Dollar Buster in 0:08:28. Rating: *** 1/2 [Sensational Sherri interfered against Bob Backlund.] [Barry Windham interfered against Bob Backlund.]
During the bout, Ted DiBiase cut an insert promo on Crush. DiBiase warned that he'd take Crush out of the WWF Title tournament - one way or another. The Million Dollar Man also announced that Barry Windham will not be participating in Monday night's battle royal, as he requires the Widowmaker to be completely focused on watching his back.
Ted DiBiase appeared to be heading for defeat as Bob Backlund locked in the cross-face chicken wing. However, as Sensational Sherri took the referee, Barry Windham entered the ring and connected with a big boot to Backlund's head! DiBiase then drilled Backlund with the Million Dollar Buster for the pin.
After the match, Jerry Lawler announced that his guest on the King's Court - the best interview show in the WWF - would be none other than Ted DiBiase's first round opponent at the King of the Ring, Crush! Vince McMahon brought up the past history between Lawler and Crush, noting that Crush had been brutally attacked by the King when he last appeared on Lawler's show. McMahon warned Lawler to be on his best behaviour this Monday night!
The Smoking Gunns (Billy Gunn and Bart Gunn) defeated Gary Scott and Brooklyn Brawler when Billy Gunn pinned B. Brawler after the Sidewinder in 0:04:38. Rating: ** 1/2
During the bout, The Smoking Gunns cut an insert promo noting that they will be competing in the 20 man battle royal on Monday Night RAW.
Macho Man Randy Savage cut a promo regarding the WWF Title tournament at the King of the Ring. Savage acknowledged that the last time there was a tournament to crown a new WWF Champion, he won it. The Macho Man claimed that he felt better now than he did then and said that the King of the Ring would be his night.
Shawn Michaels pinned The Berzerker after a superkick in 0:10:18. Rating: ***
The Berzerker blasted Shawn Michaels with a nasty kick to the head, sending the Heartbreak Kid over the top rope to the floor. Berzerker wanted to take the count out win, but Liz helped her man back into the ring. As Berzerker protested with the official, Michaels recovered enough to strike the Berzerker with a vicious superkick to the back of the head to claim victory.
The show concluded with comments from such luminaries as Owen Hart, Max Moon, Scotty Flamingo, The Birdman and The Quebecers, who were all confident of winning the battle royal on Monday Night RAW and taking the final spot in the WWF World Title tournament at the King of the Ring!
Circuit information: It is the opportunity of a lifetime for somebody, but which of the twenty superstars will emerge victorious in the battle royal this coming week on Monday Night RAW and claim the final first round spot in the WWF Title tournament at the King of the Ring? One man ruled out of the running is Tito Santana, who is still nursing injuries as a result of Big Van Vader's assault on last week's show and cannot compete.
Also on Monday Night RAW, rest assured that the ring will be specially reinforced as The Natural Disasters clash with the Arabian Butchers. Plus, in a giant six man tag team bout, Macho Man Randy Savage, Tatanka and Marty Jannetty square off against the team of their King of the Ring opponents, Lex Luger, Bam Bam Bigelow and Shawn Michaels!! Not only that, but Tammy Fytch's weeks-long search for a superstar has come to an end and she will reveal their identity this Monday night! This is a show you do not want to miss, so join us on RAW for the Countdown to the Crowning!!

Trying to figure out who Fytch will manage. I'm thinking either Razor Ramon, Mr. Perfect, or someone unexpected who will then go on to win the 20 man battle royale for the last spot.

Monday Night RAW - Countdown to the Crowning June 13th, 1994 Erie, PA Your commentators are Vince McMahon and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. The show opened with some breaking news from Sean Mooney who was outside the arena. Mooney revealed that Macho Man Randy Savage - who was scheduled to compete in the six man tag team match in the main event of the show - was yet to arrive! Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan hyped up the importance of the 20 man battle royal which would open the show. The winner will secure the final spot in the WWF Title tournament at the King of the Ring and face Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon in the first round. As superstars began to fill up the ring for the battle royal, Tammy Fytch strode out from the back and called a halt to proceedings. Fytch was greeted with a chorus of boos. Fytch said that there was still one more participant to enter the match - her new client and the next WWF Champion - Scott Steiner!! The fans looked on in disbelief as Scott Steiner walked out, shook hands with Fytch and entered the ring!! 20-Man Battle Royal: Scott Steiner won a 20-man Battle Royal: x DeMento threw out Jacques after a jawbreaker in 0:01:12 x Kid threw out Skinner after a thrust kick to the head in 0:01:35 x Busick threw out Droese in 0:02:18 x K. Steiner threw out Backlund after a forearm to the back in 0:17:00 Rating: *** 1/2 [Kim Chee and Tammy Fytch interfered against Kevin Kelly.] [Tammy Fytch interfered against The Berzerker.] [Tammy Fytch interfered against Bob Backlund.]Scott Steiner celebrated his victory with Tammy Fytch after the match, hugging her and lifting her in the air. As a result of this win, Steiner earns a place in the WWF Title tournament at the King of the Ring, facing Razor Ramon in the first round. Fytch yelled into the camera that with her by his side, Scott Steiner's career would be covered in golden glory. Backstage, Razor Ramon - who had been watching the battle royal on a monitor in his locker room - was interviewed by Gene Okerlund. Ramon congratulated Scott Steiner on his win, but questioned the former tag team champion getting involved with "that chica". Razor vowed to defeat Steiner at the King of the Ring and it wouldn't matter who his manager is. While the Natural Disasters made their way out for their grudge match with the Arabian Butchers, Randy Savage phoned in to the show. Savage claimed that he had not made it to Monday Night RAW yet because his car battery had been stolen! Bobby Heenan interrupted and poured scorn on the Macho Man's story, suggesting Savage had invented this tale to avoid getting knocked out by Lex Luger again. Savage vowed to be there by the end of the show and hung up! The Arabian Butchers (Manuel and Victor) defeated The Natural Disasters (Earthquake and Typhoon) when Manuel pinned Typhoon with the Moonsault in 0:04:55. Earthquake injured his right knee. He will be out for approximately 4 months. Rating: *** [Mr. Fuji interfered against Earthquake.]The Natural Disasters and the Arabian Butchers began this bout by brawling around the ringside area. During the donnybrook, one of the Butchers broke Mr. Fuji's cane against the back of Earthquake's knee. Earthquake lay in agony at ringside for the remainder of the bout, essentially making it a handicap bout. The odds were too great for Typhoon who, despite some brief flurries of offence, eventually succumbed to the double teaming by the ruthless Butchers. Fuji's men dropped Typhoon with a devastating double spinebuster, before one of the Butchers dropped a leg on Typhoon's head and the other followed up with a moonsault for the pinfall. Jerry Lawler made his way down to the ring for this week's edition of the King's Court. Lawler took a few cheap shots at Friar Ferguson and his Sermon interview segment, claiming that viewers were turning off in droves when the mad monk was on the screen. The King's guest this week was Crush, who made his entrance to a tremendous ovation. Lawler acknowledged the previous bad blood between the two men and warned Crush to keep his distance. Just then, the Arabian Butchers - who had not yet left ringside after the previous bout - entered the ring and jumped Crush from behind! Manuel and Victor put the boots to Crush, while Lawler laughed hysterically and got some licks in himself. The Butchers squashed Crush in the corner and hit a succession of splashes on the big Hawaiian. The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase then came out and entered the ring. Cackling evilly, DiBiase took out two wads of cash from his custom-made suit and handed one each to Manuel and Victor. Lawler then handed the mic to DiBiase, who said that Crush had just experienced what happens when you refuse an offer from the Million Dollar Man! During the break, Crush was helped to the back by referees and was experiencing considerable discomfort in his ribs. Backstage, Sean Mooney conducted an interview with Big Van Vader and Harley Race. Race claimed that nobody in the WWF Title tournament is hungrier than Big Van Vader and nobody is willing to go as far as Vader is to take it all. The segment was interrupted when a stagehand delivered a wreath to Vader. This sent the mastodon into a rage! Vader punched out the hapless youngster, before tearing the wreath apart and throwing it against the wall! Vader began smashing everything in his path as Harley Race tried desperately to calm him down! Lex Luger entered the arena and joined his tag team partners in the ring to the usual frosty reception. The Narcissist carried a large object down to the square circle with him, which soon transpired to be a car battery! Luger took the mic, held up the car battery and slyly said he had heard that Randy Savage had experienced some problems getting to the show tonight! Luger claimed that with Savage out of the picture, Tatanka and Marty Jannetty would have to come out and face the three of them! WWF President Jack Tunney then appeared to ruin Luger's plans. Tunney said he had found a replacement for Randy Savage - none other than Luger's old rival, Mr. Perfect! The trio of Perfect, Jannetty and Tatanka all then ran down to the ring and the six man tag was on!! Bam Bam Bigelow, Lex Luger and Shawn Michaels defeated Marty Jannetty, Mr. Perfect and Tatanka when L. Luger defeated M. Jannetty by disqualification in 0:13:57. Rating: *** 1/2 [Randy Savage interfered against Lex Luger.] (Randy Savage no-showed.)This tag team match soon broke down and the official lost all control as all six men began brawling. In the midst of the melee, Lex Luger crotched Marty Jannetty on the top rope and lifted him off the turnbuckles into the torture rack!! As Luger began to wrench Jannetty's back, the crowd exploded as Randy Savage sprinted down the aisle!! The Macho Man swiped the car battery from ringside, rolled into the ring and jammed the battery into Luger's midsection!! The referee immediately called for the bell as Savage attacked Luger with a succession of kicks and punches! Shawn Michaels and Bam Bam Bigelow dragged Randy Savage off Lex Luger and began to beat him down, which drew Mr. Perfect and Tatanka back into the ring and the brawl continued. Adam Bomb then made his way out to help his stablemate Bigelow and also get some shots in on his King of the Ring first round opponent, Mr. Perfect. Big Boss Man joined the fray in an attempt to restore order, but he was jumped by his opponent on Sunday, Jeff Jarrett! The crowd were loving the action as the timekeeper rang the bell hopelessly. Then, Big Van Vader - still ballistic after being sent a wreath by the Undertaker - made his way out to cause further destruction. Vader began decimating any superstar that got in his path until suddenly the mastodon stopped dead in his tracks as a solitary gong rang out around the arena! That signalled an appearance from the Undertaker, who marched methodically out towards the ring. The brawl soon broke out again until only The Undertaker and Big Van Vader were left in the squared circle. While Vince McMahon frantically called for more help to restore order, The Undertaker dropped Vader with a giant choke slam to close out the show!! Circuit information: This final edition of Monday Night RAW before Sunday's King of the Ring ended in absolute chaos! The show closed with an out of control, ten man brawl featuring participants in the WWF Title tournament. Tensions are running high with so much up for grabs this Sunday and it all came to a head in the ring after our main event tonight! Crush should be ready to go this Sunday after he was checked out by doctors following the brutal attack by the Arabian Butchers. Ted DiBiase paid off the twins to do a number on Crush tonight. The Million Dollar Man is used to splashing the cash to get whatever he wants and he seems to be willing to do the same to land the WWF Championship, a title that has eluded him for years. Scott Steiner shocked everybody watching tonight as he returned to competition with Tammy Fytch as his manager. Steiner ended up victorious in the 20 man battle royal and earns the final spot in the WWF Title tournament at the King of the Ring. But why would Steiner put his promising career in the hands of somebody as unproven as Tammy Fytch? Steiner certainly had no shortage of suitors willing to take him on but it was the company's rookie manager who was able to seal the deal. Fytch had called a press conference for this weekend on Superstars to officially announce the signing of Scott Steiner. Duke Droese will defend his Hardcore Title this weekend on Superstars against Big Bully Busick. Tonight, Busick got the upper hand on the garbageman when he eliminated Droese from the battle royal. This was the Natural Disasters last night with the company. We wish Earthquake and Typhoon the best in their future endeavours. As mentioned, the WWF King of the Ring is this Sunday night, live on pay-per-view from the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland! Let's run down the finalised card. King of the Ring tournament - winner becomes the new WWF Champion! Two months ago, Bret "Hitman" Hart vacated the WWF Championship due to a serious knee injury suffered in a match with Bad News Brown. This Sunday at the King of the Ring, a one-night single-elimination tournament will be held to determine the new WWF Champion. This tournament features the best of the best, the cream of the crop in the World Wrestling Federation, but which WWF Superstar will walk out of Baltimore with the title? Here is the line up for the tournament: WWF World Tag Team ChampionshipThe British Bulldogs dropped the titles at WrestleMania X in the company's first ever triple threat match, a bout which the Hollywood Blonds ended up walking out of as the new champions. Since then, the Bulldogs won a four team tournament to earn this shot at the gold. The animosity between these two teams has grown after the Bulldogs were named the top contenders and quite a rivalry has developed. Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid are out to capture the titles for a record fourth time and prove they are the top dogs in the tag team division, but Steve Austin and Brian Pillman are not about to let their time as champions end just yet.

WWF Superstars June 18th, 1994 Erie, PA Your commentators are Vince McMahon and Jerry "The King" Lawler.
Superstars began with the arena going pitch black. Suddenly, a spotlight shone in the centre of the ring, illuminating the newest member of the WWF roster, grungy heavy metal guitarist Man Mountain Rock! Rock proceeded to rock the house, playing his entrance music on a large electric guitar shaped like the WWF logo while pyro burst off in the background.
Man Mountain Rock pinned Corey Student after the Wallapalooza in 0:04:15. Rating: DUD
Man Mountain Rock demonstrated some accomplished amateur wrestling skills during his WWF debut, as well as some devastating power manoeuvres. Rock scored a debut win when he put away Corey Student with a gourdbuster.
Moon Lightning (Max Moon and Lightning Kid) defeated The Executioners (Executioner #1 and Executioner #2) when Kid pinned Executioner #2 after the Lightning Strikes Twice in 0:06:17. Rating: ***
WWF Tag Team Champions The Hollywood Blonds cut a promo on the British Bulldogs ahead of their title match at the King of the Ring. Steve Austin said they would show the Dynamite "Kid" and Davey "Boy" Smith who the real men are in the tag team division, while Brian Pillman vowed to send the Bulldogs home with their tails between their legs.
Gene Okerlund was on location in Massachusetts, outside the mansion of Tammy Fytch. Okerlund revealed that he was there for the press conference and knocked on the door. Fytch answered, dressed in a robe, and chastised Okerlund for being late. Fytch said that they were having the press conference by the pool and hurried Okerlund into the house.
Swiss Bobsleigh Team (Lars and Luca) defeated Emilio Ulcia and John Paul when Luca pinned J. Paul after the Podium Finish in 0:05:54. Rating: 1/2*
The Swiss Bobsleigh Team were victorious in their very first outing in a WWF ring. During the bout, Lars sat behind his Emilio Ulcia on the mat, locked in a bodyscissors and swung Ulcia from side to side, mimicking turning corners on a bobsleigh track! Lars and Luca picked up the win with their double team finisher, an elevated running hip attack, termed the Podium Finish.
After the bout, Lars and Luca - along with Alundra - celebrated their win with a lap of honour around the ring.
Back in Massachusetts, Gene Okerlund was poolside with Tammy Fytch. Fytch complained that ever since she joined the World Wrestling Federation, bad things had been said about her and people have been knocking her. Fytch noted that Hillary Clinton's first 100 days were like that too. Fytch said that nobody could knock her anymore as she had signed the hottest free agent in the industry. Fytch then brought out Scott Steiner. Steiner stated that he had been a great tag team wrestler, but now he was sick of carrying other people and wants all the glory for himself. Steiner proclaimed himself to be the top dog in the WWF and, while Fytch massaged his neck, Steiner said that the WWF Title is coming to the "Superstar". Okerlund asked Steiner why he would sign with somebody like Tammy Fytch and Steiner replied that it was because Fytch knows exactly how to take care of a man.
Scott Steiner departed the scene, while Tammy Fytch remarked how cute he is and said that she can't wait to show him off to the girls at Wellesley. Fytch added that when you do a few favours for a man, they'll do anything you tell them to do. Fytch promised more new faces in Fytch Wrestling Enterprises over the coming weeks. Gene Okerlund put over Scott Steiner as an incredible athelete, a man in his physical prime, and wondered how Fytch could control him. Fytch removed her robe - flaunting her toned body in a bikini - and claimed that she doesn't have problems controlling any man.
No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match: Duke Droese pinned Big Bully Busick with the Trash Compactor in 0:09:16. Rating: *** 1/4 (Duke Droese retained the WWF Hardcore Title.) [Harvey Wippleman interfered against Duke Droese.]
Duke Droese retained his Hardcore Title against Big Bully Busick in a brutal match, but the championship did seem to be slipping away from the garbageman on a number of occasions. Busick went after Droese's knee, hitting him with several wicked kendo stick shots. Busick also used a belly-to-back suplex in the aisle for a near fall. In the end, Harvey Wippleman ordered Busick to hold Droese in place while Wippleman tried to strike the garbageman with his own trash can. However, Droese dodged the blow and Wippleman knocked Busick silly with the trash can! Wippleman could only look on as Droese drilled Busick with the Trash Compactor for the victory!
While Duke Droese celebrated, Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler previewed the King of the Ring card one final time. Lawler confidently predicted that Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase would take the vacant WWF Championship, while McMahon said he had a feeling that Macho Man Randy Savage would shock the world and capture his third WWF Title!!
Circuit information: Some new faces debuted tonight on WWF Superstars and we have been reliably informed that we can expect to see several more additions to the roster over the coming weeks. Heavy metal powerhouse Man Mountain Rock was victorious in his WWF introduction, as were the athletically gifted Swiss Bobsleigh Team, Lars and Luca. The tag team division is set to undergo a major overhaul soon and the Swiss Bobsleighers could play an important part. Their over-the-top celebrations after winning tonight were comical though - it was as if they had won a gold medal!
In her poolside press conference today, Tammy Fytch promised new acquisitions for her stable which she has christened Fytch Wrestling Enterprises. Fytch shocked WWF fans all around the world by signing Scott Steiner - who else is set to fall under her charm?
The waiting is almost over - the WWF King of the Ring is live tomorrow night on pay-per-view from the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland!! Let's run down the finalised card.

WWF KING OF THE RING 1994 June 19th, 1994 Baltimore Arena, Baltimore, MD Your commentators are Jim Ross and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.
The pay-per-view began with a video package hyping up tonight's sixteen man King of the Ring tournament which will determine a new WWF Champion.
Howard Finkel started the show by introducing retired football player Art Donovan to the 12,000 capacity crowd. Donovan was set to be one of the commentators for the evening but as he waved to the fans from the ring, Big Van Vader made his entrance for the opening match. Donovan offered a handshake to Vader, but the mastodon attacked Donovan with a barrage of hard slaps! With Donovan cornered, Vader squashed him with an avalanche in the corner and then drilled him with a Vader Bomb! Harley Race kicked Art Donovan's lifeless body to the outside while Big Van Vader waited for the Undertaker!
[WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament First Round]: Big Van Vader defeated The Undertaker by countout in 0:07:14. Rating: ** [Harley Race interfered against The Undertaker.]
This was an extremely heated battle between two of the top contenders to win the whole tournament. The Undertaker scored with a beautiful flying clothesline which sent Big Van Vader to the outside for some respite. 'Taker followed him outside though and the two men brawled on the floor while their respective managers bickered. Vader dropped the Deadman with a belly-to-belly suplex on the floor and then crushed Undertaker against the ringpost with two avalanches. The mastodon went for a third but 'Taker moved and Vader ate the post, knocking himself silly. It was now a race to beat the referee's count back in as Harley Race suddenly sneaked under the ring. As the official's count reached eight, Vader dragged himself back under the bottom rope. Undertaker was just about back in the ring as well as the fans implored him to get a move on. However, Harley Race reached out from under the ring apron and grabbed hold of 'Taker's foot, preventing him from returning to the squared circle!! The referee then counted Undertaker out - Harley Race had robbed the Deadman of his chance of becoming the next WWF Champion!!
After the match, the devious Harley Race celebrated at ringside. The Undertaker reached down, grabbed Race by the back of his jacket and dragged him into the ring! 'Taker choked out Race in the corner but Vader made the save for his manager, striking the Deadman across the back with a steel chair! Vader laid out The Undertaker with two more hard chair shots and left with Harley Race in tow. Paul Bearer used the power of the urn to get The Undertaker back to his feet and they exited the arena to a standing ovation.
[WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament First Round]: Jeff Jarrett and Big Boss Man battled to a double disqualification in 0:07:00. Rating: ** 3/4 [Tennessee Lee interfered against Big Boss Man.]
Jeff Jarrett wore Big Boss Man down by repeatedly going back to a sleeperhold, but Boss Man finally managed to break it with a jawbreaker. Boss Man hit a desperation spinebuster out of nowhere and both men were sprawled out on the canvas as the official made his count. Jarrett slowly crawled over to his corner and took possession of his acoustic guitar. Boss Man saw that Double J had a weapon and quickly rolled over and took his nightstick! The two superstars squared off in the centre of the ring armed with their weapons, but before anything could occur the referee controversially disqualified both men!
Jeff Jarrett quickly dropped his guitar and protested his innocence to the official, but he wasn't interested. Big Boss Man then tried to plead his case, but Jarrett then decided to take his frustrations out on the former corrections officer and clipped him in the back of the knee! Tennessee Lee joined Double J in doing a number on the Boss Man. Jarrett instructed Lee to hold the Boss Man in place for a guitar shot but Kevin Kelly quickly sprinted in, shoved Boss Man out of the way and absorbed the blow himself!! Boss Man ran off Jarrett and Tennessee Lee with the nightstick, before turning his attention to Kelly. Boss Man dragged Kelly up out of the remnants of the guitar and helped him to the back.
As a result of this draw, Jeff Jarrett and the Big Boss Man are both eliminated from the tournament and Big Van Vader receives a bye to the semi finals.
[WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament First Round]: Tatanka pinned Bam Bam Bigelow after a flying cross body press in 0:09:14. Rating: *** [Harvey Wippleman interfered against Tatanka.]
These old foes know each other so well and were able to counter each other's big moves. Bam Bam Bigelow used his strength to hoist up Tatanka in a painful torture rack, while later Tatanka scored with a DDT. The finish came when Tatanka rolled out of the way of Bigelow's flying headbutt, then connected with a beautiful flying cross body press to book his place in the quarter finals.
[WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament First Round]: Mr. Perfect pinned Adam Bomb after a sunset flip in 0:06:45. Rating: *** 1/4
After a brawl outside the ring, Adam Bomb took over with a beautiful powerslam on Mr. Perfect. Bomb worked over Perfect's back with a backbreaker and a sidewalk slam, setting up eventually for the Atom Smasher. When Bomb finally went for his trademark move, Perfect countered with a sunset flip and managed to keep Bomb's shoulders down for the three count!
Crush came out for his first round match with Ted DiBiase in some discomfort, clearly showing the effects of the beatdown he suffered at the hands of the Arabian Butchers on Monday Night RAW. This was an attack bought and paid for by the Million Dollar Man.
[WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament First Round]: Crush pinned Ted DiBiase after the Hawaiian Smasher in 0:07:52. Rating: *** 1/2 [Barry Windham interfered against Crush.]
Ted DiBiase focused his assault squarely on Crush's injured stomach, making it difficult for the big Hawaiian to breathe. Crush appeared to be fading fast when DiBiase locked on the Million Dollar Dream but with the crowd firmly behind him, Crush broke the hold by backing the Million Dollar Man repeatedly into the turnbuckles! Crush blocked the Million Dollar Buster and then planted DiBiase with the Hawaiian Smasher for the very popular three count!
Howard Finkel barely got a chance to announce Crush as the winner because Barry Windham hit the ring and jumped Crush from behind! The Widowmaker put a real beating on Crush, kneeing him repeatedly in his injured midsection and then applying the clawhold. DiBiase stuffed a $100 bill in Crush's mouth and left with Windham.
[WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament First Round]: Shawn Michaels pinned Marty Jannetty after the Piledriver in 0:08:28. Rating: **** 1/4
The finish in this clash of former tag team partners - the pick of the first round matches - came when Marty Jannetty ascended the turnbuckles and went for a flying fistdrop on Shawn Michaels. However, before Jannetty could deliver the blow, Liz climbed up onto the apron and grabbed Jannetty's leg! Jannetty managed to kick her back down to the floor but this gave Michaels enough time to recover and sprint up to the top turnbuckle with Jannetty! Michaels sent Jannetty crashing down to the mat with an armdrag off the top rope and then put Jannetty away with a piledriver.
[WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament First Round]: Randy Savage pinned Lex Luger with an inside cradle in 0:06:24. Lex Luger suffered a neck injury. He will be out for approximately 9 months. Rating: *** 1/4
The treacherous Lex Luger tried to take a shortcut to the win by removing the top turnbuckle pad, but it was all a plan designed to distract the official. As the referee replaced the turnbuckle, The Narcissist removed his protective padding from his forearm and measured Randy Savage for a clubbing blow. Luger charged at Savage in the corner, but the Macho Man ducked out of the way and rolled up Luger for the three count!
Before the next match, Tammy Fytch took the mic and goaded Razor Ramon to put his Intercontinental Title on the line in this first round match with Scott Steiner. Fytch thought Ramon was yellow and claimed that this was the reason that she refused to manage the Bad Guy! Ramon handed his Intercontinental Title belt over to the official and told him to ring the bell.
[WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament First Round]: Scott Steiner defeated Razor Ramon by countout in 0:08:30. Rating: *** (Razor Ramon retained the WWF Intercontinental Title.) [Tammy Fytch interfered against Razor Ramon.]
This extremely intense battle ended up spilling out to the floor, where Razor Ramon was able to reverse an Irish whip into the steel steps. Ramon went for the Razor's Edge on the floor but as Tammy Fytch distracted the referee, Scott Steiner countered with a low blow! Steiner then drilled Ramon with a vicious tiger driver at ringside! Steiner rolled back into the ring as the referee counted the Bad Guy out.
Tammy Fytch snatched the Intercontinental Title belt out of the official's hands and gave it to Scott Steiner, who was overjoyed with his victory. Howard Finkel announced Steiner as the winner, but also noted that titles cannot change hands on a count out so Ramon remains the champion. Steiner and Fytch were livid! A groggy Ramon pulled himself up onto the ring apron, but Steiner then knocked him back to the floor with a nasty looking belt shot!! Steiner left the ring and threw the title belt at Ramon, before leaving with Fytch to a chorus of boos.
After the end of the first round, here's how the quarter final line-up looks:
Big Van Vader gets a bye to the semi finals Tatanka vs Mr. Perfect Crush vs Shawn Michaels Randy Savage vs Scott Steiner
[WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament Quarter Final]: Tatanka pinned Mr. Perfect after a small package in 0:10:03. Rating: ** 3/4
The crowd was split down the middle in their support for each of these popular fan favourites. Tatanka missed a charge into the corner and Mr. Perfect took the disorientated Native American down with a leaping neckbreaker. Perfect covered while the referee counted to three but as Perfect celebrated, the official noticed that Tatanka's foot was draped over the bottom rope! The referee acknowledged his error and order the bout to continue, leaving Perfect in disbelief. As Perfect went after Tatanka, the Native American surprised him with a small package for the pin!
Tatanka briefly celebrated his victory and then left to prepare for his semi final showdown with Big Van Vader. A heated Mr. Perfect argued with the official, before decking the referee and leaving to a mixed reception.
[WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament Quarter Final]: Shawn Michaels pinned Crush after a superkick in 0:09:55. Rating: **** 1/4 [Liz interfered against Crush.]
Crush shook off the effects of the beating he suffered at the hands of Barry Windham to dominate this quarter final with Shawn Michaels. Crush had things in control, dropping the Heartbreak Kid with three consecutive clotheslines and signalling for the Cranium Crunch. That's when Liz decided to interject herself into the contest. As she entered the ring, Liz appeared to go over on her ankle. Crush was distracted as the official helped Liz back to her feet. Michaels then connected with a superkick to the back of Crush's skull, just as Liz made a miraculous recovery from her "injury". The referee recorded the three count, sending Michaels into the semi finals.
[WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament Quarter Final]: Randy Savage pinned Scott Steiner after a rolling reverse cradle in 0:08:10. Rating: *** 1/2 [Tammy Fytch interfered against Randy Savage.]
Scott Steiner used his awesome strength to throw around Randy Savage with little effort. Steiner's performances tonight were forcing a lot of mat observers to sit up and take note - he was certainly making the transition to the singles division with ease. Steiner rolled up Savage and grabbed the rope for extra leverage. The official counted two but noticed Steiner cheating and forced him to break the pin. Steiner and Fytch argued with the official, but as Steiner turned his attention back to Savage he was caught in a roll up for the three count! Ironically, the Macho Man grabbed a handful of tights to assist in keeping Steiner's shoulders down!!
This result did not sit well with Scott Steiner or Tammy Fytch. While Fytch lambasted the official for his poor call, Steiner dropped Randy Savage with a vicious Steinerline. Fytch handed Steiner a steel chair and prepared to bash the Macho Man's brains in. However, Razor Ramon then ran in, brandishing a chair of his own! Steiner thought better of the situation, throwing his own chair down and rolling out of the ring. Fytch and Steiner retreated to the back, cursing the Bad Guy all the way. Ramon raised Savage's hand in triumph to a nice ovation.
The semi final line up looks like this: Big Van Vader vs Tatanka Shawn Michaels vs Randy Savage
Backstage, Gene Okerlund interviewed Tatanka ahead of his semi final showdown with a rested Big Van Vader. Mr. Perfect wandered by, causing Tatanka to stop the interview and talk to Perfect. Tatanka acknowledged the bad call by the referee in their match and expressed his sorrow that their contest ended sourly. The Native American hoped there was no hard feelings and extended his hand. Perfect stared a hole through Tatanka and walked off. Okerlund called after Perfect, shocked that he wasn't even going to wish Tatanka luck in his match with Vader. Perfect wasn't listening and left the arena.
[WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi Final]: Big Van Vader pinned Tatanka after a power bomb in 0:07:10. Rating: *** 1/4
Tatanka came out like a house of fire, overwhelming Big Van Vader with running clotheslines, chops and punches. The Native American even managed to get Vader up for a Samoan drop! Tatanka missed a flying splash in the corner and hit the ringpost, allowing Vader to finish the job with a power bomb. Big Van Vader is in the final, leaving Tatanka to rue that miscalculation which cost him dearly.
[WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi Final]: Randy Savage pinned Shawn Michaels with the Macho Elbowdrop in 0:14:58. Rating: **** [Liz interfered against Randy Savage.]
These two bitter rivals picked up where they left off at WrestleMania, pulling out all the stops in this gripping battle. Randy Savage appeared to suffer an injury when he missed a flying axhandle onto Shawn Michaels at ringside after Liz had pulled her man out of harm's way. Savage collided hard with the steel guardrail and immediately began favouring his chest. While the referee admonished Liz, Michaels pulled the ringsteps away from the corner of the ring and dropped Savage chest-first onto them! The Heartbreak Kid worked over the Macho Man's ribs but couldn't put Savage away. Liz climbed up onto the ring apron to remonstrate with the official but Savage ran Michaels into Liz - knocking her to the floor - and rolled HBK up! However, the referee attended to Liz, while Michaels gouged Savage in the eyes and brought a steel chair into the ring. Michaels tried to cave Savage's head in with the chair but Savage dodged the blow. Michaels connected with the top rope, the impact of which brought the chair back into Michaels' face! With the Heartbreak Kid knocked out, the Macho Man scaled the turnbuckles and connected with the flying elbow to advance to the final!
The Hollywood Blonds (Steve Austin and Brian Pillman) defeated The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid) when Pillman pinned Davey Boy after a faceslam in 0:12:03. Rating: *** 1/2 (The Hollywood Blonds retained the WWF World Tag Team Titles.)
The Hollywood Blonds got the heat on Davey Boy Smith during this Tag Team Title Match, working over his left arm. Steve Austin and Brian Pillman attempted to put the challengers away with the Air Blonds, but the Bulldogs got their knees up. The British Bulldogs then began to take control. Dynamite Kid laid out Austin with a snap suplex and went to deliver the Diving Dynamite Headbutt. However, as Dynamite Kid balanced himself on the top turnbuckle, Davey Boy Smith clotheslined Pillman out of which, the impact of which caused Dynamite to crotch himself on the top rope! Davey Boy Smith went to help his partner, but Austin clotheslined him from behind and then knocked Dynamite down to ringside. With the official distracted, Brian Pillman sneaked back into the ring armed with one of the Tag Team Title belts. Pillman drove Davey Boy headfirst into the belt and then covered for the three count.
After the match, The British Bulldogs had words over the outcome of the bout. Dynamite Kid appeared to be laying the blame at Davey Boy Smith's door and walked out on his partner.
Backstage, the doctors were taping up Randy Savage's ribs following his punishing win over Shawn Michaels.
Jim Ross conducted an interview via satellite with former WWF Champion Bret "Hitman" Hart, who was convalescing at home in Calgary. Hart said that either Big Van Vader or Randy Savage would be a worthy WWF Champion and said he was looking forward to a great final. The Hitman added that whoever wins the title shouldn't get too comfortable with it, because he would return soon to take it back!
[WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament Final]: Match for the vacant WWF World Heavyweight Title: Big Van Vader pinned Randy Savage after the Vader Bomb in 0:08:14. Rating: *** 1/4 (Big Van Vader won the WWF World Heavyweight Title.) [Harley Race interfered against Randy Savage.]
Randy Savage did a good job sticking and moving in the opening exchanges of this tournament final, keeping Big Van Vader away from his injured ribs. The Macho Man led Vader on a footrace outside the ring, where the mastodon missed a charge into the railing. Interference from Harley Race turned the tide and began to quiet the rabid crowd. Vader slowly and methodically went to work on Savage's ribs with his super-stiff offence. Vader got a two count off a powerslam but missed a splash, allowing Savage to retaliate with punches. Vader shrugged off the blows and almost knocked the Macho Man's head off with a lariat. Savage's eye swelled up from hard strikes in the corner. Vader continued the beating with a superplex and crushed Savage with an avalanche. Vader missed a moonsault however and with the crowd firmly behind him, the Macho Man began to get his second wind. Savage pushed himself through the pain barrier to deliver three flying axhandles, the third of which took Vader off his feet! The fans were at fever pitch as Savage connected with the flying elbow, but Vader kicked out at two with authority!! Undeterred, Savage went for a high cross body, but Vader caught him and flattened the Macho Man with a front slam. One Vader Bomb later and we had a new WWF Champion!!
While Randy Savage rolled around on the mat clutching his ribs in agony, the official handed the WWF Championship to Big Van Vader. Vader snatched the title belt from the referee and then pie-faced him to the mat. With Harley Race looking on with delight, Vader raised the WWF Title aloft in victory while Jim Ross feared for the future of the company with Big Van Vader as WWF Champion!
Card rating: *** 3/4
Circuit information: The smoke has cleared and the dust has settled at the 1994 King of the Ring and the last man left standing is your new WWF Champion - Big Van Vader. Vader, who overcame an injured Randy Savage in the final, controversially defeated the Undertaker in round one and enjoyed a bye to the semi finals, where he rolled over Tatanka. Vader's route to the final was comparatively straightforward compared to the run Macho Man had to endure. Savage got past Lex Luger in the first round, edged past the impressive Scott Steiner in the quarters and defeated hated rival Shawn Michaels in a stunning semi final encounter. How would a fresh Randy Savage have fared against Vader in the final? Hopefully that question will be answered soon.
Big Van Vader's coronation as new King of the Ring will take place tomorrow night on Monday Night RAW.
One of the stories of the night was the showing by Scott Steiner, under the guidance of Tammy Fytch. Steiner defeated the Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon - albeit by count out - before suffering a narrow loss to former WWF Champion Randy Savage. Many fans were questioning Steiner's decision to hook up with Fytch, but if these are the sort of performances the vivacious vixen can get out of Steiner they'll be forced to eat their words.
After Mr. Perfect had time to cool off after the event, he was apologetic for his actions following his bout with Tatanka. Perfect punched out referee Mike Chioda after what Perfect was on the receiving end of what he perceived to be the wrong decision. Perfect will be fined for his assault on the official.
There is a situation developing between Crush and the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, along with his bodyguard Barry Windham. Windham attacked Crush following the Hawaiian's victory over DiBiase and Crush is keen to exact retribution.
The British Bulldogs sat down after the show and straightened out whatever problems they had during tonight's bout. They immediately asked WWF President Jack Tunney for a rematch with the Hollywood Blonds for the titles and we can exclusively reveal that their requested was granted. This match will take place this coming week on WWF Superstars. The Blonds only agreed to put the titles on the line again with the proviso that this will be the last shot the Bulldogs get at the straps as long as Brian Pillman and Steve Austin hold the gold.
Lex Luger suffered a severely sprained neck during his first round match with Macho Man Randy Savage. Luger will undergo an examination on Monday and if surgery is deemed necessary, he will spend the rest of 1994 on the sidelines.
Sensational Sherri was released from her contract this morning. We wish her the best in all future endeavours.
Thanks for joining us tonight for the King of the Ring! We hope you'll tune in again tomorrow night for Monday Night RAW, where we'll crown WWF Champion Big Van Vader as the new King of the Ring! So long everybody!

You're a good booker because you validate my predictions.
Great card. Good matches and good starts to Vader vs. The World, Steiner vs. Ramon, and Who Will Save Us From the Blonds? I imagine there will also be a Davey Boy vs. Dynamite RAW main event blowoff in there too. I enjoy the way you compensate for only having five PPVs by running mini-programs in between, like Bret vs. Bad News, and I imagine KOTR sowed the seeds for a few of those.
Vader was predictable, but only Russo would purposefully swerve us by putting someone else up as champion. With Bret on the sidelines and Undertaker being a much better chaser than champion, it makes just way too much sense for Vader for be carrying the strap right now. Kudos to you for not feeling like you had to switch it up for the sake of a twist.

To be honest I was devastated when I saw your predictions. You pretty much called it exactly right! Glad you enjoyed the King of the Ring. I'm looking forward to starting the build up for SummerSlam.

personally, I was hoping for either Savage or HBK to win the title, but Vader is a fine champion as well ... feeling for Lex though as once again he can't escape the King of the Ring unharmed ... there just has to be an angle in there somewhere ... Summerslam, here we come

I should note that Owen Hart would've retired from this world, gone back to Calgary and became a fire man.
So......maybe that's a plus?

I should note that Owen Hart would've retired from this world, gone back to Calgary and became a fire man. Why is that? Though really even though Owen is still in WWF, he'll probably never reprise the role of The Blue Blazer (and thus never in the rafters at that fateful PPV) since the rest of the Hart Foundation wont be in a Montreal Screwjob. Speaking of Montreal, I'm curious to see where the future takes Shawn Michaels in this circuit. Elizabeth leaving Savage for Michaels was a huge spin from how things happened IRL (though seems perfectly reasonable given his HBK gimmick). Also, Peter hasn't used Diesel so no Kliq (and Sean Waltman is still The Lightning Kid and teaming with Max f'n Moon rather than being in higher profile angles with Razor Ramon). Hell, without a Kliq to hold him down, will we see Shane Douglas rise to WWF stardom? Lets not forget Hunter Hearst Helmsley debut is around the corner in 1995. And Austin and Pillman came to WWF early (1994 instead of 1996) and with a different gimmick (reprising their Hollywood Blondes gimmick from WCW) than IRL. Oh alternate history: so fascinating...

Owen Hart, IRL, was wary of being a jobber for his entire career, so he was about to retire and become a fireman in 1993 when Bret pitched the brother vs. brother feud to him. That launched his career--a 5 star match, a SummerSlam main event, and the rest is history.
Here, he's still jerking the curtain wearing lime green parachute pants and purple polka-dot suspenders.
It's not a crime on Old School's part, there are casualties in every historical circuit. Just interesting. Also, given Owen's workrate, perhaps a little unexpected.

Maybe someone will talk smack about Bret while he's still recovering from injury and Owen will defend his brother's honor, finally getting him a push?

Owen ditched the giant pyjamas for better gear when he started teaming semi-regularly with Marty Jannetty. I remember writing about it around SummerSlam '93.
Owen's going to be involved in an angle post-KOTR. I'm introducing one of my favourite wrestling personalities soon who will be heading up a new stable and the Rocket will have a part to play in this storyline. Hope you enjoy it and I welcome any feedback that you may have. Thanks again for reading!

Monday Night RAW June 20th, 1994 Westchester County Civic Center, White Plains, NY Your commentators are Vince McMahon and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.
The show began with stills featuring action from last night's long awaited King of the Ring pay-per-view, where Big Van Vader captured the vacant WWF Championship by winning the sixteen man tournament. Vader will be crowned the new King of the Ring on tonight's show.
Owen Hart pinned Terra Ryzing with the Rocket Launcher in 0:04:08. Rating: * 1/2
Owen Hart picked up a quick win with the Rocket Launcher, but he was given no chance to enjoy his victory. Great Muta, in his first appearance since being sidelined with a quadricep injury, hit the scene and sprayed green mist into Owen's face! Muta decked the blinded Rocket with a sidekick, before picking him up and sending Owen shoulder-first into the ringpost. Muta hit a backbreaker and then connected with his picture-perfect moonsault!
The fans' attention turned to the entrance way, where a man dressed in a mob style business suit was walking down the aisle. The man - identified by Vince McMahon as Gary Hart - was accompanied by an Asian woman and also the Arabian Butchers, Manuel and Victor. Gary Hart entered the ring with his entourage and took the mic. The Butchers lifted up Owen's limp carcass and dumped him over the top rope. Hart presented himself to the audience as a recruiter of international talent for the World Wrestling Federation and introduced his new stable of Great Muta, the Arabian Butchers and the mysterious Korean woman Kimona as Black Friday Management. The show went to a commercial break with Mr. Fuji walking down the aisle demanding an explanation from his former charges!
Monday Night RAW returned with the shocking scenes of Mr. Fuji being stretchered out of the arena! Footage aired from during the commercials of Fuji confronting Gary Hart, before he was attacked by the Arabian Butchers! The Butchers laid him out with a double spinebuster, followed by the Meat Cleaver!! With Fuji now departed, Gary Hart continued his monologue. Hart said that Black Friday Management manages and promotes the highest quality professional championship wrestling grapplers worldwide - and they do it their way on their terms. Hart coldly warned that if Black Friday Management wants in your promotion, there's no stopping them - they'll be making money and running the game within the company before those who oppose have a chance to counter.
Backstage, Sean Mooney interviewed Big Boss Man and Kevin Kelly. Boss Man said that he was willing to accept that Kevin Kelly is a changed man after Kelly took a bullet for him last night when he shoved Boss Man out of the way of Jeff Jarrett's guitar shot. Kelly vowed to make Double J pay tonight when they face Jarrett and Repo Man.
Vince McMahon revealed that Repo Man stepped up and volunteered to be Jeff Jarrett's partner tonight in the upcoming tag team match. Repo is out to avenge recent losses in singles competition to Big Boss Man and Kevin Kelly.
Jeff Jarrett and Repo Man defeated Big Boss Man and Kevin Kelly when J. Jarrett pinned K. Kelly after a DDT in 0:06:55. Rating: ** 1/4 [Tennessee Lee interfered against Kevin Kelly.]
Big Boss Man and Kevin Kelly worked quite well together in their first outing as a unit. Kelly tried to put away Jeff Jarrett with a sleeper, but Tennessee Lee got up on the apron to distract him. Kelly released Double J and dragged Lee into the ring. Kelly set up Lee for the Word of Honor, but Jarrett grabbed his own partner Repo Man and threw him into Kelly, saving his manager. Jarrett then capitalised with a DDT on Kelly for the three count!
Promos hyping the WWF World Tag Team match on Superstars between the Hollywood Blonds and the British Bulldogs were shown. If the Bulldogs fail to win the titles, they will not receive another shot at the gold as long as the Blonds are champions. The Bulldogs claimed that they were more focused than ever on regaining the gold and would put the disappointment of the King of the Ring behind them. Steve Austin and Brian Pillman cockily stated that it was boring beating the Bulldogs over and over again. The champions implied that they may get themselves intentionally disqualified or counted out in order to save their titles.
Scott Steiner pinned Nick Barberri with the SSD in 0:03:32. Rating: * 3/4 [Tammy Fytch interfered against Nick Barberri.]
Scott Steiner decimated poor Nick Barberri in another strong showing, picking up where he left off at the King of the Ring. Steiner dropped Barberri right on his head with the Steiner Screwdriver, which resulted in Barberri being helped to the back after the match.
After the bout, Tammy Fytch took the mic and claimed that Scott Steiner should have the Intercontinental Championship around his waist right now. Fytch correctly stated that Steiner defeated champion Razor Ramon last night (albeit by count-out) and alleged that the Bad Guy was running scared of her man Steiner.
A truck was shown pulling up and down the highway. The voiceover talked about spending enough time on the roads that you get to know them. You know the other drivers, know how tough they are, know that you are the baddest trucker the world has ever seen. So you think to yourself, where is the place where a mean, vicious trucker like myself can do the most damage? The WWF. I’m coming, in just a few weeks. Mack McCall is going to show you just what a trucker can do.
Gene Okerlund introduced new WWF Champion Big Van Vader, along with his manager Harley Race, for the coronation ceremony. There was a throne in the ring, along with a crown, a sceptre and a robe. The crowd was booing Vader hard as he entered the ring. Vader threw the throne out of the ring and tore the robe to shreds, before intimidating Okerlund. Race snatched the mic, looked at his watch and said that it was officially Vader Time! Race said that Vader will be the most dominant champion in WWF history and there is nobody in the locker room that can do anything about it. Just then, Randy Savage emerged gingerly from the back, still favouring his ribs from the beating he took during the course of the King of the Ring tournament. Savage said that he and Vader were on the road to disaster. Savage admitted that Vader got the better of him last night, but said that the next time they meet things would be different and he would unleash the madness on Big Van Vader! Harley Race cut in and said that if the Macho Man wants a shot at Vader's title, then let's do it next week!! The crowd voiced their approval, but Okerlund was concerned about Savage's injured ribs and said they should postpone this bout until the Macho Man is fully healed. Race laughed and said that if Savage was any kind of a man, he wouldn't let a sore rib stand in his way of a chance of capturing the WWF Championship! To Okerlund's chagrin, Savage took the mic and quickly accepted Race's challenge for next week! Savage vowed to be Vader's worst nightmare! As Savage acknowledged the cheers of the fans, Big Van Vader took the sceptre and jammed it into the Macho Man's injured ribcage! Vader and Race left Savage a crumpled heap in the centre of the ring, while Race gloated that he was looking forward to seeing the Macho Man next week.
Circuit information: It is feared that Macho Man Randy Savage suffered cracked ribs last night at the King of the Ring, but this is just speculation at this juncture. Savage has refused medical attention since last night's event ended for fear of being sidelined. The Macho Man is determined to capture the WWF Championship for a third time and will get that opportunity when he faces the Mastodon Big Van Vader on next week's show. WWF President Jack Tunney was reluctant to sign the bout due to Savage's condition, but the Macho Man is desperate for the match and has really given Tunney no choice. You can bet that Vader will go after Savage's injury like a shark that smells blood, just like he did last night. But if anybody can defy the odds, it's Randy Savage. Savage would love to be the one to bring Vader's WWF Championship run to a premature end, while Vader would relish the opportunity of ending the Macho Man's glittering career.
Gary Hart has brought Black Friday Management to the World Wrestling Federation and this mysterious entity claimed two victims tonight in Owen Hart and Mr. Fuji. Little is known about Black Friday Management, but we do understand that Gary Hart has been granted promoting and managerial licenses for activity in the WWF. Hart is an ice cold cerebral businessman who ruthlessly stole Great Muta and the Arabian Butchers from under the nose of Mr. Fuji and if you can outfox the sneaky Fuji, then you have got to be a dangerous guy. What have Hart and Black Friday got planned next?
On the subject of the Great Muta, he returned to action tonight after a six-month long layoff with a torn right quadricep. Quite why he targeted Owen Hart is unclear, but the two men do have some history dating back to late 1993 when the Rocket prevented Muta from interfering in a steel cage match between Bret Hart and Yokozuna.
Mr. Fuji has been released from his contract. We wish Fuji the best in all future endeavours.
An MRI exam and further testing determined the full extent of the damage to Lex Luger's neck suffered at the King of the Ring. It was found that Luger will need surgery to repair two broken vertebrae and the recovery time will be at least nine months before The Narcissist can return to the ring.
This week on WWF Superstars, the WWF Tag Team Titles are on the line as The Hollywood Blonds defend against the British Bulldogs in a rematch from the King of the Ring. Remember, if Dynamite Kid and Davey Boy Smith fail to capture the straps, they won't receive a shot at the titles so long as the Blonds are champs. Make sure you tune in this weekend! Till then, so long everybody!!

Wow. Owen over proto-HHH? Nice. Especially since I had just been talking about him. Black Friday Management seems really cool. Nice job disposing of Fuji, who was pretty much stale by this point. Interesting inclusion of Kimona. I had forgotten Muta had been in your WWF before. Should breathe some fresh life into the Arabian Butchers as well. Is Gary Hart the 'favorite character' you mentioned was debuting soon? I smell Savage going against Vader still not 100% and getting crushed (figuratively and literally) by Vader - either to put him on the shelf for awhile or to send him packing from WWF in a manner that helps put Vader over as a monster. (Savage was gone from WWF by the end of 1994 IRL.) Mack McCall, a guy with a trucker gimmick? Does this mean you've finally signed Diesel?

Mack McCall has gotta' be Godwinn, as someone pointed out in the official forum, right?
I like the new stable. And who doesn't love seeing Tera Ryzing job?
Yeah, too bad for Savage. I gave him a face-face showdown against Bret Hart in my 1994 WWF. They gave me a ***** match. Still put Bret over, though. Savage probably could have carried the strap for one more go-around in 1994-1995 (his reigns in WCW certainly weren't flops, even if not runaway successes). I think if you don't have Vader hanging around then Savage is probably the guy to go with.
Steiner would have been an IC division beast in this timeframe. Razor needs a good opponent to feud with, and Steiner is better than the IRS/Jeff Jarrett/1-2-3 Kid/Sid Vicious lineup he got in real life. The Bad Guy is one of my all-time favorites, so I hope he continues to be a focal point. Still, we haven't had a Razor vs. Michaels feud yet.
