This is all going really well. A good first ppv for the all woman TNA. Sucks about people quitting though. Interested to see where you go next.

OK, I'm not sure if this is a good idea or whether you guys like it or not, but I'll give it a shot...
TNAW - behind the curtains
TV RATINGS: Even though the very first episode garnered a nice 0.4 rating, the following StarStruck has steadily declined in viewership, reaching as low as 0.05 in the last StarStruck before My Bloody Valentine. According to sources, Dixie Carter is not deterred by this, and says that 0.4 was artificially high, as many viewers tuned in to see scantily dressed women. She hopes that more viewers will come by when they realize what kind of athletes these women are.
PPVS: TNAW has decided upon names for four of the seven remaining PPVs. We have Girl's Night Out in April, Tropic Tumble in August and Through The Gates of Hell in November. The most interesting PPV of them all may be the June PPV - Queen of the Ring!
WRESTLERS LEAVING/COMING IN: Taylor Wilde decided to leave after being offered a top position in the severely weakened WWE Women Division. MsChif left after only one match. Apparently, there was a misunderstanding about prior commitments.
BACKSTAGE RUMORS: Rumors are that there are a divide between the original TNA Knockouts and the former WWE girls. The worst offenders are, it is rumored, Alexis Laree and Nattie Neidhart, who behaves as if they are above the rest, and that the decrease in production values, crowd and overall television exposure, is a step back in their careers. Gail Kim is the only one who speaks regularly with her old friends.

I dig the "behind the scenes" tidbit. Adds an extra bit of realism flavor, plus you can use it to give a little sort of "shoot" push to things if you wanted.
Personally, I'd like to see it as a recurring things every so often.

TNAW StarStruck 20.02.10
A solemn funeral
On the heels of a very successful "My Bloody Valentine" PPV, StarStruck opened with a segment from a funerary home, where the entire Stamford Divas are gathered, dressed in black gowns. Barbie Blank and Alexis Laree are fake crying as Maria brings an ornate urn to a small table at the front. Maria then proceeds to hold a very touching (but very fake) funeral speech for Poison, Tara's pet spider who was killed by Barbie Blank when Tara refused to lay down for Gail Kim, and actually defeated Gail Kim instead. At the end of this sham funeral, the tone turn differently, and Maria threatens TNAW that The Stamford Divas are for real, and that Tara's hold on the TNAW World Title is gradually slipping away.
Tag-Team Match Sojourner Bolt and Sarita defeated The Garcia Twins (Brianna Garcia and Nicole Garcia) when Sarita made Nicole Garcia submit to a double chickenwing submission in 0:10:31. Rating: * 1/4
Both of these teams are fresh of a loss at My Bloody Valentine. The Garcia Twins fell to the Beautiful People, and the makeshift team of Sojourner Bolt and Sarita, lost in an attempt to win the TNAW Tag Team titles. Maybe the team will be a more permanent one, as their combination of power and speed, was more than The Garcia Twins could handle. Even though they consistently tried the old twin trick of switching place without tagging (and without the ref sending the illegal wrestler back to the apron), it was Sarita who picked up the win with an intricate modified chickenwing submission on... well, one of the twins anyway.
Revenge Match Awesome Kong pinned Nattie Neidhart with the Awesome Bomb in 0:05:41. Rating: *** 1/4
Nattie Neidhart, the third generation superstar who came to TNAW and posed as the only ex-WWE diva who wasn't part of The Stamford Divas, defected to that side anyway, by practically sacrificing Awesome Kong to Miss Elizabeth. General Manager Christy Hemme repaid Nattie by booking her against the same Awesome Kong tonight. Nattie survived for a few minutes by evading Kong and staying out of her reach, and then raking her eyes for a brief offense before Kong caught her and pummeled her, before dropping her unceremoniously with the Awesome Bomb. As Miss Elizabeth appeared at the entrance ramp, Kong Awesome Bombed Neidhart once more for good measure, and to send a message to Miss Elizabeth that they weren't finished.
Interview with Nattie As Nattie Neidhart is being helped to the back by crew members, So Cal Val catches up with her and asks her if it hadn't been best to stay away from The Stamford Divas. Nattie shouts as Val, and says that she's just getting ready for her rise to the top, and that she's at least the best Canadian women's wrestler in the world. "Super Anime" LuFisto walks by and laughs out loud. She looks at Nattie again and says: "Seriously?" and walks away, laughing.
Singles Match Melina made LuFisto submit to The Longest Stretch in 0:10:52. Rating: *** 1/4 [Nattie Neidhart interfered against LuFisto.]
LuFisto won the 4-way invitational at My Bloody Valentine, earning herself a TNAW contract. As was witnessed earlier, she disagrees with Nattie's statement about her being the best Canadian women's wrestler, and wanted to prove that, in fact, she was the best Canadian women's wrestler by defeating Melina here tonight. Many has dismissed Melina as being a jetsetter and a diva, and not a serious wrestler, but the flexible latina is actually a pretty tough chick, using a variety of kicks to wear down LuFisto. LuFisto packs a mean punch though, and as the match neared the 10-minute mark, LuFisto nearly got the win with an Air Raid Crash. Melina kicked out, and when LuFisto lifted her up for the Burning Hammer, Nattie Neidhart came out to the ring and distracted her. LuFisto went for Nattie, giving Melina the chance to roll her up. LuFisto kicked out, but Melina locked in The Longest Stretch (Muta Lock). LuFisto actually reached the ropes, but Nattie kicked her hand away, and the Canadian hardcore queen had to tap.
Main Event The Stamford Divas (Alexis Laree, Gail Kim and Jillian) defeated The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) and ODB when Laree defeated M. Rayne by disqualification in 0:12:41. Rating: ** 1/4 [Lacey von Erich interfered against Gail Kim.]
ODB on the same side as The Beautiful People? Only an invasion from the most self-centered, ruthless divas in the business could have led to this, but that was tonight's main event, in a show where TNAW World Champion, Tara, was conspicuous by her absence. ODB seemed ready to avenge Poison, though, going on a rampage in the early goings, knocking all her three opponents to the ground and going after Maria on the outside. This allowed the Intruders and Kim to work over the Beautiful People for a while, before ODB got the hot tag and ran wild again. The Divas cheating ways were in no way hidden tonight, as referee Steve Crabs was busy flirting with his rumored fling, Maria Kanellis. ODB and TBP barely tolerated it, but when Jillian hit Madison with the tag-belt right in front of Crabs without causing a DQ, ODB had had enough, and kicked Crabs in the nuts. THAT caused the DQ, and all hell broke loose in the ring, which was cleared up when Tara! came running in with her TNAW World belt, chasing the Stamford Divas and ref Crabs from the ring.
Tara sends a message to the Stamford Divas The show ends with Tara, ODB and TBP in the ring. Tara takes the microphone and said that when Barbie and Maria killed Spider, a small part of her died as well. She might just be a spider, but she was an innocent spider. And she knew what The Stamford Divas motive was. If she yielded, fine. If she didn't, they would kill Poison and compel her into a rage which would end in her giving Gail Kim a title shot so that she could get her hands on her. But that wouldn't happen. The best way for her to hurt the Stamford Divas, was to not give away free title shots to terrorists. Gail Kim had lost her opportunity, and she would have to earn the title shot through conventional means, meaning winning matches.
Card rating: ** 3/4
Match observations:
The Stamford Divas are trying to coax Tara to give Gail Kim another title shot in order to cement their hold on TNAW. So far, it doesn't look like their tactics are working.

The angle where the Stamford Divas killed Poison is very interesting. A bit reminiscent of Earthquake squashing Damien, which is one of my all-time favorite angles ever. Keep up with the good work. You've somehow made me care about women's wrestling.

This is an amazing circuit, Rey! It's certainly inspired me to post some of my stuff!
I think you did right in bringing in the Stamford Divas from the get-go, and building Tara as the big name has been great! Really excited to see where you go from here! Keep it up!

TNAW StarStruck 27.02.10
Tara receives Poison`s ashes
We start StarStruck inside Tara's locker room, where Christy Hemme and ODB are still trying to console her after The Stamford Diva's horrible murder of her pet spider, Poison. There is a knock on the door, and Christy answers. It's a delivery guy with a package for Tara. The TNAW World Champ opens it, revealing a small, decorative urn. Engraved on it is: "RIP Poison". Tara covers her head in her hands as ODB vows to get the Divas for this. What lowlives!
Interview with Miss Wrestling
So Cal Val interviews TNAW's newest addition, a masked female wrestler that goes by the name Miss Wrestling. She is dressed in a sexy version of the old Mr. Wrestling's outfit, her long blonde hair flowing out of her mask. She talks only briefly, saying that she's here to make a mark, starting tonight with winning the four-way match.
Four Corners Match: Miss Wrestling defeated Katarina, Traci Brooks and Alissa Flash when Wrestling made Katarina submit to the Choke Sleeper in 0:09:26. Rating: ** 1/4
Alissa Flash is still upset by being robbed of her TNAW Maiden Title shot by Sara Del Rey stealing her move, and tried taking out her frustrations on everyone in this match. Miss Wrestling proved to be a capable wrestler as well, holding her own against Brooks and Flash, and trapping Katarina in a choke sleeper, forcing the Stamford Diva to tap out. An impressive debut by Miss Wrestling. This girl has wrestled before, that's for sure!
Interview with Alissa Flash
Alissa Flash returns backstage after her fourway. She is upset, but not so much because she lost the match. She tells So Cal Val that she is infuriated with Sara Del Rey. You don't steal another wrestler's move. That's an unspoken rule within the wrestling world. It's etiquette. She says she will have a word or two with Sara tonight, and wishes her good luck in her title re-match tonight.
Singles Match Miss Elizabeth pinned Sojourner Bolt with the Stamford Slam in 0:05:25. Rating: ** 1/2
"The NEW" Miss Elizabeth couldn't get a decisive result on My Bloody Valentine, but she fared much better tonight against Sojourner Bolt. Both are two powerful wrestlers, but Elizabeth is the chosen enforcer of the Stamford Divas, and picked up the win with the Stamford Slam. When walking out of the ring, she looked into the camera and told Awesome Kong to bring it on.
Non-title match The Intruders (Alexis Laree and Jillian) defeated The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) when Laree pinned Sky with the Laree-DT in 0:11:12. Jillian tore her right calf muscle. Rating: *** [Lacey von Erich interfered against Jillian.]
This was a non-title match, but one could assume that a win would propel The Beautiful People to a title shot. The opening minutes saw a lot of pinning maneuvers from Velvet Sky and Alexis, as roll-ups, small packages and a crucifix were exchanged in order to rack up a quick win. The Intruders quickly gained an advantage, working quick tags and crisp double moves in order to keep Rayne in the ring. Rayne went for the tag several times, but clever tactics by The Intruders and manager Maria Kanellis prevented ref Crabs from seeing the tag. Lacey tried to protest, but was actually sent to the back by ref Crabs (at the recommendation by Maria, of course). Sky managed the tag, but after a brief flurry of offense, she was cut short by a clothesline from Jillian, which set up the Laree-DT by Alexis and the win.
Backstage chaos! When Maria returns to her office after the Intruders' match, Tara is hidden behind the door, and assaults Maria as she enters. She lays into Maria, but is pulled off by Alexis Laree and Katarina who respond to Maria's cries. She fights them off, but then Miss Elizabeth comes in and knocks Tara out with a punch. Alexis picks her up and drops her with a Laree-DT on the hardwood floor! Maria has recovered now, and tells the others to get this piece of trash out of her office. They carry the limp TNAW World Champ out of the office and dumps her outside Christy Hemme's GM office.
TNAW Maiden Title Match Hamada pinned Sara Del Rey with the Hamada Driver in 0:11:54. Rating: *** 1/4 (Hamada retained the TNAW Maiden Title.) [Alissa Flash interfered against Sara Del Rey.]
This was a re-match from the TNAW Maiden Title final at My Bloody Valentine. Sara had the strength advantage and Larry Sweeney as an extra ace up her sleeve, Hamada had the agility, speed and experience. This was a solid main-event, Hamada awing the crowd as usual with her handsprings and her moonsault, Sara pounding on the oriental star whenever she got the opportunity, working her arm with submission moves. Larry Sweeney tried to get involved, but was stopped by Alissa Flash who had some choice words for Larry Sweeney. When the superagent tried to brush her off, she got physical and slapped Sweeney, who flopped to the floor like a fish outside of its tank. Sara Del Ray got distracted by this, and didn't see Hamada connect with a spin kick and then the Hamada Driver to retain the title. As Del Rey and Sweeney back out of the ring arena, pointing and shouting at Flash and Hamada, Flash actually shakes Hamada's hand, bringing an end to their heated rivalry, perhaps?
Card rating: ***
Match observations:
How long can Tara sustain the psychological torture the Stamford Divas are putting her through before granting them another shot at her title? Gail Kim was not present tonight, could this mean that the Stamford Divas have someone else lined up for the TNAW World Title?
On a related note, Jillian tore her calf muscle in her non-title tag-team match against The Beautiful People. The current plan is to have her work through the injury.

A couple quick thoughts:
Really intrigued by Miss Wrestling. Hope you keep us guessing and drop clues here and there!
An odd comment, I'm sure, but I like ending with the Maiden title bout. Boosts the secondary title's credibility a ton. AND I'm actually pretty happy you held off on giving Del Ray the championship!
BTW, I'll be posting some of my stuff tomorrow! Thanks for the encouragement!

TNAW StarStruck 06.03.2010
Changes to the main event
The announcers have just announced that Gail Kim will face Sarita for the top contendership in tonight's main event, when ODB barges into Christy Hemme's office. Larry Sweeney and Sara Del Rey are already there. ODB says it's a disgrace that she isn't given a title shot. She has always stood on Christy's side, and haven't yet received a proper re-match after losing the title to Tara in the first place. Larry Sweeney tells ODB to get in line, as he and Sara are here to vent their frustration over not getting a title shot as well. ODB looks ready to smack Sweeney in the mouth, but Sara gets in his way. Christy calms everyone down by telling them that they both can be in the main event, and that it will be a 4-way match, 1 pin to the finish.
Singles match Madison Rayne pinned Daffney with the DDT in 0:04:25. Rating: * 3/4
Madison may have come up short in her bid to become tag-team champions, but the new fan favorite proved to be the better girl here tonight against Daffney, hitting the goth queen with a vicious DDT for the win.
Christy reprimands Ref Crabs
Christy Hemme and Traci are preparing for their match, when ref Steve Crabs enter Christy's office, asking her why she summoned him. Christy says that as long as he's seeing Maria Kanellis, she cannot let him referee any match that involves the Stamford Divas. Which is all matches left tonight. So she says he can go home. Crabs starts to protest, but Christy says her decision is final.
Tag-team match The Garcia Twins (Brianna Garcia and Nicole Garcia) defeated Traci Brooks and Christy Hemme when Nicole Garcia pinned Traci with the Sitout Facebuster in 0:07:30. Rating: -1/4* [Katarina interfered against Traci Brooks.]
Christy doesn't wrestle as often now that she's general manager, but teamed up with Traci Brooks tonight to take on the Garcia Twins. The Garcia Twins are notorious cheaters, and when they're not choking, sneak attacking or making illegal tags using their twin appearance to their advantage, they had Barbie Blank on the outside. Christy put some leverage on ref Remsburg, who ejected Barbie after he saw an infringement. This put the match into Christy and Traci's hands, until Katarina ran in and hit Traci Brooks in the back. Nicole Garcia used this distraction to hit the Sitout Facebuster for the win.
Non-title match Tara pinned Melina after a standing moonsault in 0:07:52. Rating: ** 3/4
The title was not on the line when Tara faced Melina tonight. Tara was not really interested in wrestling a straight match, taking out her frustrations on Melina. This led to the Stamford diva being able to almost pull out the upset with a small package early on. After a few minutes though, Tara gained control, and didn't lose it again. She hit the Widow's Peak, but instead of going for the pin, she hit a beautiful standing moonsault for the decisive win. After the match, Gail Kim, Maria and Barbie Blank appeared on the ramp, staring intently on Tara and the prize they covet.
Interview with Gail Kim & Maria
So Cal Val is backstage with Maria, Gail Kim and Barbie Blank. Maria says that it's only a question of when, not if, Gail Kim wins the TNAW World Title. Putting three other competitors against her won't matter. Gail Kim says that Christy's is putting of the inevitable, and is looking forward of wearing the belt.
Singles match Nattie Neidhart defeated LuFisto by disqualification in 0:05:02. Rating: ** 1/4
These two both feel that they are the best Canada has to offer, and while they have exchanged heated words in the past, this is their first match against each other. Nattie spent most of the match insulting LuFisto with slaps and dodgy tactics. LuFisto kept her cool for several minutes, before snapping and hitting Nattie with one power move after the other. Nattie took a breather on the outside, and rolled a chair into the ring. As ref Remsburg removed the chair, Nattie brought in another one and swung at LuFisto. She missed, and LuFisto picked it up and hit Nattie square on the head. Remsburg saw this, DQ-ing LuFisto. Nattie may have won the match, but it was LuFisto who could walk out of the ring on her own.
Interview with Miss Elizabeth
Miss Elizabeth comes out for an interview. She cuts it short, stating simply that her and Awesome Kong is not over - far from it. She demands another match to find out who's the Alpha Female of TNAW. This brings out Awesome Kong, who contrary to the StarStruck shows prior to My Bloody Valentine, started brawling with Miss Elizabeth. Security came to and separated the two. These two are not done, that's for sure!
Four-way # 1 contenders match Sarita defeated Sara Del Rey, Gail Kim and ODB when Sarita pinned Del Rey with the Tiger Driver in 0:11:16. Rating: ** 1/4 [Larry Sweeney interfered against ODB.]
Time for the main event of the evening! Two former Knockout champions, and one former Tag-team champion. The wild card was Sara Del Rey, who even though she has no accolades to speak of, she has super agent Larry Sweeney in her corner, and you have to look far to find a more savvy business man than him.
The match saw ODB and Sarita briefly team up to wear Gail Kim, Sara trying to remain neutral for as long as possible, while not missing out on a pinning situation. She blind-tagged Gail Kim at an opportune moment, hitting a moonsault for a close call. The match turned chaotic in the late stages of the match, with Larry Sweeney getting close to a DQ after tripping Sarita. ODB lost track of her objective again, taking Gail Kim over the ropes with a clothesline, and brawling with both Kim and Maria on the outside. Sara went for the Kudo Driver (the move she has stolen from Alissa Flash) on Sarita, but the Mexican countered the hold and hit a Tiger Driver for the win and the shot at Tara's world title.
Three girls had to leave the ring disappointed, but for Sarita, the fun has just begun.
Card rating: **
Match observations:
Sarita is on her way to a title shot against Tara, but where does this leave Gail Kim and the Stamford Divas? Will LuFisto let Nattie Neidhart get the last laugh? And will TNAW contain Miss Elizabeth and Awesome Kong both?

That Garcia Twins/Hemme & Brooks match may be the first negative star match you've had in this promotion! That's actually a feat to me, as I've rarely been able to run women's matches higher than negative...
Love that you're building to Elizabeth/Kong II.
Once again, a great card and a great main event! Happily surprised to see Sarita come out on top instead of the obvious contenders in Kim, ODB, and Del Rey. Variety is the spice of life!

Good show here with the most recent one. Sarita makes for a good #1 contender, and glad that we're going to see more Elizabeth/Kong in the future, as that's really your money feud if you ask me. The only thing I didn't like is how LuFisto got disqualified. I like Neidhart being sneaky to get the second chair, but I think it would have gotten LuFisto a bit more sympathy and made a rematch a little more desirable had LuFisto not gotten the satisfaction of destroying Neidhart with the chair. That's just being nitpicky though. Good show again.

Thanks. When looking back at the StarStruck's between A Bloody Valentine and A Girl's Night Out (I've simmed everything leading up to the PPV), this must be the least good show, I think. Especially match-quality wise, but I should have known better than to put the Garcia Twins (Bella Twins) against Hemme and Traci. Rayne vs Daffney also seems completely random. Beware of some wild match ratings in a few weeks (yes, I'm getting **** matches now!)
I'm struggling to find an interesting storyline for Sarita, but she is a great wrestler and a believeable first contender, I think.
Good point about the LuFisto/Nattie-thing. I should have just had Nattie do an Eddie.
I agree that Elizabeth/Kong is the best feud, basically because I think it's a feud that is so much more unique than Tara and Gail Kim. This is partially my fault, since I've managed to book Kim more like Maria and Barbie's stooge, than a serious competitor, and partially because Elizabeth and Kong transcends the TNAW title. They don't need it to let everyone see that they are the top dogs in the company. But only one of them can be THE top dog, and last match didn't give a clear winner, so there must be another one...

TNAW StarStruck 13.03.2010
Alissa Flash vs. Katarina
Lauren and Dave Prazak wishes us welcome to another edition of TNAW StarStruck, where you tonight will see Tara take on Sarita for the TNAW World Title. Dave promises Total Nonstop Action tonight, a night full of exciting matches, and nothing but matches! Tonight, the girls let the wrestling do the talking!
Alissa Flash is trying to make a statement, that statement being that you shouldn't steal other wrestlers signature moves. Katarina haven't been having a lot of luck so far in TNAW, and taking on "The Future Legend" proved to be a difficult encounter for the Stamford Diva. Avoiding the Kudo Driver was of utmost importance for Katarina, so she worked over Alissa's back, causing her to fail in her first attempt to hoist Katarina up for the deadly finishing move. A backbreaker brought a 2-count from ref Remsburg. Flash picked up her game from here on out, and managed to counter a backslide into the Kudo Driver for the win. After the match, she got on the mic, telling Sara Del Ray that this is how a Kudo Driver is done properly. Del Rey and Sweeney came out and said that Sara's Kudo Driver was enough to defeat Flash in the Maiden Title Tournament. This got Flash angry, and she chased Sweeney and Del Rey out of the arena.
Alissa Flash pinned Katarina with the Kudo Driver in 0:09:30. Rating: **
Alexis Laree vs. Madison Rayne
The Beautiful People failed in their attempt to take the tag-belts from the Intruders, and tonight, Madison Rayne were up against Alexis Laree in singles action. Rayne was able to use her speed and agility to build up momentum against Laree. On the outside, Maria tried to interfere, Lacey von Erich coming in her way on several occasions. Their catfight moved into the ring, and ref Remsburg tried to separate them, even becoming entangled in their catfight (it didn't look like Remsburg minded that..). With Remsburg occupied, Jillian ran in and hit Rayne from behind. She didn't let up, and Remsburg DQ-ed Alexis. Velvet Sky came in with a steel chair and cleared the ring. We have later learned that The Beautiful People will get another shot at the Tag-Team Titles at our next PPV - Girls Night Out!
Madison Rayne defeated Alexis Laree by disqualification in 0:05:31. Rating: * 1/2 [Jillian interfered against Madison Rayne.]
Miss Wrestling vs. Nattie Neidhart
Next out was the mysterios Miss Wrestling, taking on Nattie Neidhart, who proclaimed herself as the best Canadian female wrestler of all time! Prazak and Lauren speculated on who might be hiding beneath the mask, if this was a new competitor, or someone the wrestling world had seen previously. It had to be the latter, as Miss Wrestling took Neidhart down with a spectacular rana early on. Miss Wrestling fought a mixed style of old-school and high-flying, and the only thing giving clues as to who she might be, was the white skin, the long blonde ponytail, and her (according to Dave Prazak) rather sizeable fruit basket (this drew some very angry retorts from Lauren). Neidhart gained the advantage when Barbie Blank tripped Miss Wrestling behind the ref's back, and Neidhart started working on Miss Wrestling's leg. The masked women's wrestler fought back, locking in a Choke Sleeper, which almost caused Nattie to tap. She almost reached the rope - and Barbie Blank helped her the rest of the way. LuFisto ran out at this point, chasing Barbie away. This distraction was enough for Miss Wrestling, who connected with a high cross body for the win. After the match, LuFisto got a Canadian flag from one of the fans, draping it over her shoulders as she left a furious Neidhart in the ring. Tremendous match!
Miss Wrestling pinned Nattie Neidhart after a flying cross body press in 0:09:06. Rating: **** 1/4 [LuFisto interfered against Nattie Neidhart.]
Sarita vs. Tara (c) for the TNAW World Title
It was time for our main event of the evening, and Sarita and Tara had really something to battle for - the TNAW World Title. The two friends shook hands before the match, and proceeded to have a great, competetitive match. Great technical exchanges led to a series of lucha-inspired moves that awed the fascinated crowd. Then, the two ladies upped their game with a host of finishes - power bomb from Tara and the Tiger Driver from Sarita. None put the other one away. Tara went for a spinning backbreaker, but Tara spun out of it, giving Sarita a stiff elbow. She then caught Sarita with a small package out of nowhere to retain the title.
Tara pinned Sarita after a small package in 0:11:16. Rating: ** 3/4 (Tara retained the TNAW World Title.)
The Stamford Divas strikes again
Tara didn't get to rest on her laurels for long, as Maria Kanelllis, Barbie Blank and Gail Kim came out. Maria congratulated her with her win, and then told her that they had some good news for her. They then brought forth a small cage, containing a spider! Maria said that the "spider" Barbie threw into the incinerator, was a fake! After all, they weren't that barbaric. Gail then took the mic and told her that Tara could get Poison back, alive, if she defended the belt against her right here, right now. Tara was obviously tired after her match with Sarita, but accepted, with the condition that they give Poison to Prazak and Lauren, and that if anyone remotely connected to the Stamford Divas showed up in her match, she would retain via DQ. Gail agreed, and the match was on!
Gail Kim vs. Tara (c) for the TNAW World Title
Gail Kim had a huge advantage being the fresh girl in the ring, and having the advantage of knowing that she would (probably) wrestle Tara tonight. Gail controlled most of the opening minutes of the match, working over Tara's neck with several locks and precision moves. Tara pulled out a small package again, but Gail Kim kicked out. A roll up yielded another two count. Gail Kim became desperate know, throwing fists right and left, missing a clothesline with a huge swing. Tara bounced back and hit a cross body - also taking with her referee Remsburg in the process. They continued fighting, and Gail Kim hit the Eat Defeat out of nothing! Nobody was there to count, but then ref Steve Crabs came running in and pinned an incredible fast.... 2-count! Tara kicked out! Gail Kim became furious with ref Crabs, telling him that he didn't get his fast butt out here fast enough. Then, she gave Crabs the Eat Defeat too! She turned, directly to a waiting Tara who kicked her in the guts and hit the Widows's Peak. Remsburg had woken up now, and counted a slow... 3-count!
Tara pinned Gail Kim with the Widow's Peak in 0:08:26. Rating: *** 3/4 (Tara retained the TNAW World Title.)
The Stamford Divas walked slowly towards the ring, when the camera caught sight of several wrestlers moving in from the crowd! Christy Hemme, Sarita, The Beautiful People, Awesome Kong and Sojourner Bolt all stood outside of the ring, preventing the Stamford Divas from attacking Tara.
As the show came to an end, Tara had both the TNAW World Title, and Poison in her possession, letting the arachnid crawl slowly over her arm. Gail Kim and Maria, had nothing.
Card rating: *** 1/4
Match observations:
What a spectaculer episode of StarStruck! Maria played her full house, but went up against Tara's straight flush. Join us again, next week!

TNAW StarStruck 20.03.2010
Ref Crabs asks for an explanation
StarStruck opens with Steve Crabs cautiously entering the Stamford Divas' dressing room. He gets suspicious looks by Melina and the Garcia Twins, and an annoyed look by Maria, who asks what is going on. Crabs is angry, saying that Gail Kim sent him to the dentist with a chipped tooth after giving him the Eat Defeat. Maria said that Crabs lost them their title, and that their "relationship" is over. Crabs demands an explanation, but Maria blows him off. When he grabbed Maria, the entire locker room exploded, and Crabs got pummeled by at least five girls, before being unceremoniously tossed out by Miss Elizabeth. Seems like they were only using him after all.
Alissa Flash vs LuFisto vs Miss Wrestling vs Sara Del Rey – Four Corner Match – Winner gets Maiden Title shot at A Girl's Night Out
Four girls fighting for a chance to take on the undefeated Hamada at Girl's Night Out. Del Rey and Flash have already had their chance at Hamada, but are still considered two of the main contenders. LuFisto proved at My Bloody Valentine that she could go 4-ways, and Miss Wrestling.. the mysterious Miss Wrestling is no rookie either.
Flash and Del Rey are having some problems over Del Rey using Flash's finisher to defeat her in the Maiden Title Tournament earlier, and when they tagged each other tonight, it was more of a stiff slap to the back, then a tag. That was until Del Rey set Miss Wrestling up for the Kudo Driver, which brought Flash into the ring. A few words later, the two came to blows, eventually leaving the ring to continue brawling. LuFisto gained control over Miss Wrestling in the ring, and hoisted Miss Wrestling up for the Burning Hammer. A title shot was mere seconds away! Unfortunately, ref Mattano came to close to the two, and when LuFisto suddenly turned, she got Miss Wrestling's boot in her head. There was nobody to make the cover! Then, Nattie Neidhart ran in with a canadian flag, smashing it into her head. Miss Wrestling, unaware of what happened, shrugged and made the cover. Ref Mattano woke up, but LuFisto kicked out! She was still stunned by the flag attack, and Miss Wrestling took her down with a small package, winning the match and a ticket to face Hamada for the TNAW Maiden Title!
Miss Wrestling defeated LuFisto, Sara Del Rey and Alissa Flash when Wrestling pinned LuFisto after a small package in 0:12:30. Rating: ** 3/4 [Nattie Neidhart interfered against LuFisto.]
Neidhart continues the attack
Even though she had accomplished what she set out to do, Nattie Neidhart came back into the ring and started to choke LuFisto with the flag. LuFisto was turning limp, when Miss Wrestling came back into the ring, forcing Nattie into retreat.
We have later learned that Nattie Neidhart vs LuFisto has been signed for A Girl's Night Out – in a Flag Match!
Interview with Del Rey and Sweeney
So Cal Val stands by with Larry Sweeney and Sara Del Rey. Sweeney says it's an outrage that Del Rey doesn't get the title shot. Once again, "Future Legend" Alissa Flash comes in the way. Sara starts threatening Flash, telling Val that when she gets her hands on that bitch... when Flash comes into view, asking Del Rey "then what?" Sweeney starts complaining about his interview time being interrupted, when Flash decks him with a hard right. So Cal Val barely gets out of harms way as Flash and Del Rey starts brawling backstage. Eventually, they get separated by security.
When we return from commercial, Dave Prazak informs the viewer that another match have been set for Girl's Night Out. It's gonna be Sara Del Rey vs Alissa Flash - in a Finisher's match. The match HAS to end with the Kudo Driver, and the loser will not be allowed to use that move again.
Meet and greet with Tara
We see footage from a joint TNA/TNAW Meet and Greet from last night. Tara is signing autographs for fans, when one of the fans turns out to be Gail Kim! The two feuding women starts brawling in between the fans, and everything turned quite chaotic. Still, the camera manages to zoom in on Maria Kanellis and Barbie Blank, stealing Tara's belt! (which she brought with her) Security manages to separate the brawling girls, and when Tara returns, she almost goes postal when she discovers that, once again, the Stamford Divas have pulled a distraction on her to steal something that belongs to her.
The belt situation comes up
When we come back, Dave Prazak and Lauren talk about what just happened, and what this means for the World Title picture. They are interrupted by Christy Hemme and Tara coming out. The GM condemns the Stamford Diva's actions, and demands that they bring back the belt. This eventually brings out Maria, Barbie and several of the Divas, who says that the belt will return to StarStruck when Tara grants Gail Kim ONE more shot at the world title. Tara responds by saying that Gail can try as many times as she like, but she will never take the belt from her - in a match. Tara accepts to put her belt on the line once again - on Girl's Night Out.
With that taken care of, Maria wanted to bring up something else. Hemme's complete lack of talent being the GM. Too many brawls to break up, irregular booking and no authority what so ever. Christy asks if Maria think she can do better, and Maria replies with "with my hands tied behind my back".
This brings out TNAW owner - Dixie Carter! Carter says she's tired of their bickering, and that this pointless arguing has caused one match to be cancelled tonight. They are actually ruining the show with this! Dixie says that if Maria thinks she can do better, she is willing to give her a shot. Dixie then tells Christy to choose four girls, and Maria to choose four girls. For an 8-women elimination match at Girls' Night Out!
Tag Team Main Event – Awesome Kong & Sojourner Bolt vs The Stamford Divas (Melina & Miss Elizabeth)
Main event tag-team action here, as Miss Elizabeth and Melina took on Awesome Kong and a partner of her choosing. Sojourner Bolt was a member of the Kongtourage, and was an obvious pick for the biggest girl in TNAW.
It looked like Elizabeth and Kong would face off from the start, but Elizabeth tagged Melina, who got pummeled by the big Kong. Kong tagged Bolt, who after a brief period of offense, got eye gouged by Melina, who quickly tagged Elizabeth. The two Stamford Divas dominated Bolt for a while now, using Elizabeth's strength and Melinas stiff kicks to wear Bolt down. When Elizabeth missed a big boot and leveled Melina, Bolt managed to tag Kong. Elizabeth quickly exited the ring, leaving Melina to Kong's mercy. Kong took one look at Melina, and started after Elizabeth instead. Ref Remsburg didn't seem to want this to end in a countout, and was lenient with the "who is legal" rule. The camera moved to Elizabeth and Kong, who was brawling in the crowd, Elizabeth laying it into Kong with a series of chair shots. Back in the ring, Bolt finishes Melina with the Gory Bomb, picking up the win in this match.
Out in the crowd, Kong is punishing Elizabeth with hard fists, sending her tumbling with a backfist. Kong is setting up a table, but as she has Elizabeth in an Awesome Bomb-position, Katarina, the Garcia Twins and Nattie Neidhart attacks her from behind. She swats them away, but the distraction was enough to let "The NEW!" Miss Elizabeth get away from Kong's deadly grasp.
Sojourner Bolt and Awesome Kong defeated The Stamford Divas (Melina and Miss Elizabeth) when Bolt pinned Melina with the Gory Bomb in 0:13:27. Rating: ** 1/4
Card rating: ** 1/4
Match observations:
If last StarStruck featured more matches than normal, this featured far less. One match was completely cancelled because of the bickering between the Stamford Divas and the TNAW girls. Still, several matches are shaping up for Girl's Night Out!
Tara vs Gail Kim - Kim's final shot for the TNAW World Title The Beautiful People vs The Intruders - TNAW Tag Team Titles Hamada vs Miss Wrestling - TNAW Maiden Title Sara Del Rey vs Alissa Flash - Finisher's Match Nattie Neidhart vs LuFisto - Canadian Flag Match 8 Women Elimination Match - Christy's team vs Maria's team
And while it's not finalized, one would be stupid to think that there won't be a match with Awesome Kong and "the NEW" Miss Elizabeth.
Don't miss next StarStruck!

I like that you are reviving the flag match. It's one of those classic wrestling gimmick matches. Nice set up to the match in the previous weeks too. It's one I'll be looking forward to seeing at GNO as well as the assumed Miss Elizabeth/Kong meeting in whatever form it takes.

Lots of build to the PPV this week means lots of talking. But you do a great job of building storylines and keeping interest, so I'm okay with this.
I have my thoughts on Miss Wrestling, but I'll hold back on that. Excited to see the Flag Match. Good booking between Neidhart and LuFisto.
Not a huge fan of the Finisher's Match gimmick after you already booked a gimmick with the Flag Match, but in this case it makes sense and I'm interested to see what you do with it.
You've managed to keep Gail and Tara interesting. I'm curious to see how much longer you can go with it.
Me want Elizabeth/Kong II... thank you.

Good stuff yet again. I agree with Chris - Flag Match is nice, and not used enough really. It's a simple archetype that WORKS, so well done.
PPV is shaping up well. Keep 'em coming!

In hindsight, I think I have overbooked GNO with too many gimmick matches (and there will be more...), but I promise, it's really cool anyway I don't think I'll book a show with only two matches again though. You can only find room for so much in an hour, though. Thanks for reading, guys!

I'd love to know just how you go about allotting and scheduling time to an entire show! I'm trying to do something like that.

I use an Excel spreadsheet to plan my shows. Every segment and match are assigned a number, and then I total the numbers in the bottom. 6 minutes disappear due to commercials (possibly a too low number compared to real life), and I also cut away 2 minutes per match for entrances. That's leaving me 46 minutes for matches and segments.
I could send you an example in excel, if you want?

TNAW StarStruck 27.03.10
Maria presents her team
In The Stamford Divas' lavishly decorated locker room, So Cal Val stands by with Maria Kanellis and Barbie Blank. Maria says that she has every intention of picking a winning team that will defeat Christy's at A Girl's Night Out, and get complete control over StarStruck for one month. Into the camera screen comes the beautiful Garcia Twins, Melina and Katarina.
Alexis Laree w/Maria Kanellis vs Velvet Sky w/Lacey von Erich
Madison Rayne defeated Laree by DQ two weeks ago. Tonight, her tag-team partner Velvet Sky was up against one-half of the current TNAW Tag-team champions. Velvet knew she had to pull out something special to defeat this former WWE Women's Champion. Fortunately, Lacey von Erich was on the outside, effectively neutralizing Alexis' manager, Maria Kanellis. After a few minutes, Velvet had the upper hand and was charging Laree with a clothesline, when the tag champ pulled ref Remsburg in front of her. While Bryce was out, Jillian came in as Alexis threw Velvet between the ropes. Jillian gave it to Velvet on the outside, ramming her into the guardrail. Madison Rayne came out, and she and Jillian brawled to the back. Remsburg woke up, and counted Velvet out. A cheap win for Alexis here tonight.
Alexis Laree defeated Velvet Sky by countout in 0:08:25. Rating: * 1/4 [Maria Kanellis interfered against Velvet Sky.]
Christy picks her team
Christy comes out and joins Lauren in the ring. Christy says that she has decided on her team, and calls out ODB, Sarita and Sojourner Bolt. Lauren asks her who the fourth wrestler will be? Christy says that she needs to do this herself. The fourth person is herself! Then, Christy challenges Maria to send out two of her girls to face Sarita and Sojourner Bolt, right now!
Sojourner Bolt & Sarita vs The Stamford Divas (Katarina & Melina) with Barbie Blank
This was a little taste of what to come in eight days in the 8-women elimination match, as Katarina and Melina faced Bolt and Sarita. It was the TNAW girls that dominated the first few minutes, until Melina gouged Bolt's eye and the Stamford Divas started double-teaming her. Bolt really needed a tag, but was caught by Melina and her It Came From Nowhere (leg trap sunset flip bomb). Sarita was almost completely fresh at this point, but couldn't get in! When Bolt hit an enzuigiri on Katarina, Sarita eyed the hot tag, but then Melina ran around the ring and pulled Sarita off the apron. A distraught Bolt fell to the Kat Nap neckbreaker - and the win, and perhaps the psychological advantage, goes to the Stamford Divas.
The Stamford Divas (Katarina and Melina) defeated Sojourner Bolt and Sarita when Katarina pinned Bolt with the Kat Nap in 0:09:52. Rating: ** 3/4
LuFisto & Hamada vs. Nattie Neidhart & Miss Wrestling
Another tag-team match. This time, Nattie Neidhart teamed up with Miss Wrestling to take on LuFisto and Hamada. Two matches for A Girls Night out combined into one. It didn't appear as if Miss Wrestling and Nattie were on the same page, and Nattie didn't like that Miss Wrestling shook hands with both LuFisto and Hamada before the match.
Nattie and LuFisto started out, and they almost got the match thrown out because they wouldn't stop brawling, even while in the ropes. Miss Wrestling and Hamada pulled them apart, and Hamada tagged in. Amazing action between Nattie and Hamada. When Hamada went for the moonsault bodyblock, Nattie responded with a vicious dropkick. The StarStruck fans witnessed a real classic, as Miss Wrestling and Hamada pulled out great technical and aerial moves, and LuFisto and Nattie were brawling and fighting with a great intensity. Close to the 10-minute mark, ref Mattano had lost all control of the match, and Nattie and LuFisto were fighting on the outside, LuFisto ramming Nattie into the guardrail. In the ring, Hamada went for the moonsault, but missed, and Miss Wrestling locked on the choke sleeper. Hamada never tapped out, but when she stopped moving, the ref ended the match. Miss Wrestling has a win over Hamada - just 8 days before A Girls' Night Out!
Nattie Neidhart and Miss Wrestling defeated LuFisto and Hamada when Wrestling defeated Hamada when Hamada passed out in the Choke Sleeper in 0:10:27. Rating: ****
Tara wants a stipulation We see footage of Tara at a hardware store. Tara walks around the store, looking at various tools. She then stops when she sees several large ladders standing up against a wall. The TNAW World Champ picks up her phone. "Christy? It's Tara. Listen. I have a suggestion for the title match at A Girls' Night Out".
When we come back from commercial, Dave and Lauren informs us that Christy Hemme has sanctioned a ladder match for A Girls' Night Out. AND, "the NEW" Miss Elizabeth and Awesome Kong will fight in a Streetfight! This PPV should not be missed.
Alissa Flash vs. Gail Kim w/Maria Kanellis & Barbie Blank
Exciting main event, as Gail Kim, the crown princess of The Stamford Divas faced Alissa Flash. Flash has a Finisher match to worry about at A Girls' Night Out, but knew that a win against Gail Kim would propel her to the top in TNAW. It was a back and forth match between these two athletes, and Flash nearly had the 3-count with the Air Raid Crash. Surprisingly enough, the Stamford Divas didn't bother interfering. One who did bother though, was Larry Sweeney, Sara Del Rey's superagent. First, he tripped Flash, almost drawing a DQ from ref Mattano. Gail Kim used the distraction wisely, choking Alissa on the ropes. Gail pushed Alissa out, and while Maria distracted ref Mattano, the despicable Larry Sweeney started stomping Flash on the outside. Flash was fighting desperately against the refs 10-count, but made it back in. Gail Kim came at her, Alissa missed a clothesline, and Gail hit a crucifix for the win.
Gail Kim pinned Alissa Flash after a crucifix in 0:11:00. Rating: ** 1/2 [Maria Kanellis and Larry Sweeney interfered against Alissa Flash.]
Card rating: ***
Match observations:
A great StarStruck, only 8 days before A Girls' Night Out. The battle lines have been drawn, and the fate of next month's StarStruck are in the balance. And the belt hangs, literally speaking, up in the air!
Before StarStruck goes off air, Dave Prazak mentions that next week, the day before the PPV, Miss Elizabeth and Awesome Kong will have a Pick My Poison challenge. Elizabeth picks Kong's opponent, and vice versa. AND, just in, Alissa Flash will be one-on-one in the ring with Larry Sweeney!
Do not miss next week's edition of StarStruck!
