So the NXT angle has me intrigued enough to watch RAW.
Odd acknowledgment of Danielson's "firing": he had remorse over the events at the ending of RAW and as a result we "wont ever see him again".

Surprisingly enough, I actually sat down to wach Raw tonight because of it as well. Since both of us are doing it, maybe the WWE will have a nice ratings night.

Lamest disqualification ever for the Jericho-Bourne match. That looked really stupid.

NXT didn't exactly look too strong there. Not horrible, but the final shot of getting chased out of the arena by Santino and Mark Henry isn't impressive.

Santino in a serious angle is a terrible idea.
And SHEAMUS comes to fight NXT? Sheamus should watch the fight and gloat.
Methinks this angle has already failed.

Wade Barrett had more heat than any NXT guy has ever had, and hit a home run on the mic. No, I don't think it's failed.
Unless they reveal that Daniel Bryan was driving the limo, Bryan is so coming back as a babyface as soon as NBC's not looking.
I can kinda see the point on Santino in a serious angle, but Mark Henry has *always* been booked as a legit threat since he re-upped his contract, whether he's face or heel...it makes *perfect* sense for them to run from him.
The part that DIDN'T make sense was how Henry was ahead of basically everybody else (even a couple of NXT guys ran around Henry).
It's way, WAY too early to call it a fail...wait until they get the guys in actual matches in the angle before you go that far.

Yeah, Henry getting lapped was pretty funny. By the end of the night I was back to okay with the angle. The way they were talking about Sheamus almost has me thinking he turns and joins the NXTers, but I hope not. Sheamus needs to be by himself. He's actually one of the few main event guys that I care about and he's a nice breath of fresh air.
Anyways, I also wished they'd have left the car thing out of it. Maybe they could have cut back to Bret Hart in his office with him laying down screaming in pain while the NXT were around him. It would have looked a little bit better to me.
So last week was a 10 for me, this week was more like a 6-7. Still hasn't failed, but not exactly the way I would have gone either.

I *really* don't think they're going nWo here...I don't see a bunch of surprising defections (though I could be wrong)...I think they were just using Sheamus to drive home the "everyone in the back that worked their way up think these kids are crap for pulling this" point.

The only problem I have with Sheamus is that he totally screws up my TV's auto-contrast.

Sure, he's not the best wrestler, but he's somebody new and not horrible. And I like his promos. I didn't know he was hated on the internet.

I think the hate for Sheamus stems from 3 things: 1) He's HHH's buddy 2) He got a championship reign after being with WWE like 6 months 3) He's freakishly pale And I think many feel there's a strong connection between #1 and #2. That said, I don't really hate him myself. He's a fresh face and an effective heel. But I do really, really wish he'd get some sun.

So he would look like every other cookie cutter guy that comes through development? =P My understanding of why Triple H has taken such a shine to Sheamus is because Sheamus shows respect, listens and learns. Oddly enough, I got pushed for those very same reasons despite being 170 lbs and almost as pale...=P

So the NXTers just aplogized seriously and said they did it all to get the contracts (that Mr MacBook, the new GM gave them) and none of it was personal.

But anything that ends with Vince McMahon getting the crap beaten out of him isn't all bad in my book.

I thought it was a great ending. Definitely leaves it open ended.

Quite right, quite right.
I figured, near the end, that it'd McMahon's nWo and nothing more.
Ahh, gotta love the total beat down of faces and heels...

Yeah, when Vince called them into the ring, I winced...I was like "crap, Vince just put himself in charge"...and then, beatdown.
Btw, you know why Justin Gabriel is awesome? That dude is freaking CRISP on, like, everything he does. It's crazy. Juvy used to KILL people with the 450...Gabriel's freaking spot on, every time.

I remember Juvy's 450 Kneedrops. It helps that Gabriel seems to pause for a moment on the turnbuckle before he makes the leap. Will be he so crisp with those 450s at the end of a 5-10 minute match?

He's went at least 5 minutes on NXT and hit it flawlessly.
I don't know if I've seen the dude botch anything yet. Even internet star Bryan Danielson f-ed up a springboard on NXT.
