The CWA harkens back to the old-school 'Indy feds', and is very loosely based on the old World Class Championship Wrestling, for which my earliest and fondest memories of professional wrestling arise.
We will use a mixture of the wrestlers of today, as well as wrestlers of yesterday
The majority of the matches are held each week, in Dallas Texas at a fictional arena known as 'The Metro-Dome' , a medium-sized complex located where the old Sportatorium once stood.
Once in a while, matches will be held elsewhere around Texas and Oklahoma (the stomping grounds of WCCW)
Since this is played as an 'Indy' fed, we will not have a big PPV, but will have occasional 'SuperCards' (once every few months or so)
The majority of the matches are un-booked and I will use the outcome to build upon. However, I may book a particular match or card to promote a feud or specific outcome
I use a totally un-booked 'contract' approach. If they sign, great. If not, I will not force them to. I just simply deal with it and move on. The same goes if somebody quits and becomes a member of the Future Endeavor List (the only exception may be if a person quits and are still holding a title)
Here is a current list of the shows that will air:
Saturday Night Championship Wrestling (shown on the fictional Channel 19 in the Dallas market)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brief Back Story:
The CWA Staff:
Victor Rodriguez - Founder and acting commissioner of CWA
Victor made his fortune in the telecommunications industry as the founder of Tex-Talk Industries, a cable and telephone company in the Texas and Louisiana markets.
His first love, however was professional wrestling and after years of planning, was finally bringing it back to the Dallas area and began construction of the Metro-Dome, which as fate would have it, was on the same hallowed grounds where the famous Sportatorium once stood, and he even used as much material from the demolished Sportatorium as possible
Jake Harley (heel commentator) - A retired professional wrestler from California. He loves watching the heels use cheap shots, and complains about the 'goody goody' faces. He and fellow commentator Peter Roberts are constatly at words with each other
Peter Rogers - (face commentator) - Never quite made it as a professional wrestler, but he did have a brief stint as a manager and referee years prior, but now is the color commentator of CWA. He is usually the object of jokes and ridicule by Jake Harley
Ian Jackson - CWA resident interviewer
