PCW Wrestling April 9, 2013 Grossinger Motors Arena – Bloomington, IL Attendance: 3,920
Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to the campus of Illinois State University, where tonight, we will find out who The Esperanza will defend the Heavyweight Title against at Divide & Conquer, as James Storm takes on Jay Briscoe in a Number One Contenders’ Match.
Jay Briscoe’s music begins to play as he makes his way to the ring and grabs a microphone. Briscoe says that there’s only a handful of days until “Divide and Conquer”; but he’s noticed something that should be painfully clear to everyone in the arena and in the back. He says that there has been one consistent thing in every single main event since Mayhem, and that is himself. Briscoe says that he might have the Heavyweight Title around his waist, yet but he is the star of the PCW, and anyone who disagrees with that is an idiot. He says that all of that will come to pass after he beats James Storm tonight, then goes on to do what he does best – get payback – against his former partner The Esperanza.
Briscoe is interrupt as his name is heard being called from the video screen about the stage. The image comes into focus and the face of Roderick Strong appears. He is sitting inside a car, and through the front wind shield, cars are seen parked in a large lot outside a grocery store that has its name blurred out. Strong says that he’s not going to be on the show tonight, so Briscoe doesn’t need to waste his time in looking for him. He says he’s a little bit busy keep tabs on Briscoe’s wife and kids. Strong reminds Briscoe that he is everywhere Briscoe isn’t. He says that he’s sure Briscoe’s family misses him, but the fact of the matter is that Strong is here and Briscoe is somewhere in the Midwest worrying about a gold strap. The camera zooms in to show a woman and two kids leaving the store. The camera follows them through the parking lot, until they are blocked by parked cars. Strong says he has to go and the video cuts out. Inside the ring, Briscoe is seen fuming…
Commercial Break
The Amazing Red (0-0) vs. Luke Gallows (0-0) The first match of the night saw The Amazing Red and Luke Gallows both looking for their first victory of the new “season”. Things quickly got out of hand as both men found their way onto the concrete floor. Gallows took control of his smaller opponent, using the barricade to wear Red down. Gallows then grabbed a steel chair and repeatedly cracked it over Red’s back, ignoring the referee’s warnings to get back inside the ring. The referee had no choice but to DQ Gallows and award the match to The Amazing Red. After the match, Gallows threw down the chair and pushed the referee down to the ground before walking up the ramp.
The Amazing Red defeated Luke Gallows by DQ in 11:54. Rating: 2.25
Commercial Break
Justin Gabriel is seen entering his locker room, when he stops and slowly puts down his bag. Gabriel sits down in a chair in front of the locker and picks up a piece of paper. The paper has a picture of Gabriel in what looks like a mugshot with the caption “Cape Town’s Own Arrested on Domestic Charges”. Gabriel crumples up the paper and throws it into the locker before standing up and storming out of the locker room.
Suicide (0-0) vs. Jon Ryan (0-0) The PCW has finally found out the name of the masked man who viciously attacked Justin Gabriel at Mayhem! Suicide made his in-ring debut tonight, as did Jon Ryan – who also debuted at Mayhem. Not much was known about these two men before their match tonight, and not much was gained from the meeting, as JUSTIN GABRIEL came down to ringside. Gabriel wasted no time in attacking Suicide inside the ring, giving Ryan the DQ. Mad at the loss, Ryan pushed Gabriel down to the canvas and the two men started brawling until officials rushed down and broke them apart.
Suicide defeated Jon Ryan by DQ in 8:25. Rating: 2.00 [Justin Gabriel interfered against Suicide.]
Commercial Break
Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with Hernandez. He says that his issues with The Dirty Heels are far from being over, and that even though he and Drew McIntyre lost to them at Mayhem, doesn’t mean that he’s forgotten about what they did to Kazarian. Hernandez says that he’s not going to be satisfied until he makes things right. Luckily, he says, he gets a chance to do that against Bobby Roode tonight.
Tag Team Title Round Robin Match Daniel Bryan & Jack Swagger (0-0) vs. The Oberhausen Terror Corp (0-1) Before the match started, the updated Round Robin rankings were shown. Austin Aries and Bobby Roode were still in first place with four points. Drew McIntyre and Justin Gabriel were tied with The Oberhausen Terror Corp with zero points and one loss each. The German duo were looking to jump ahead with a victory and were willing to do anything possible – including setting up a table in the corner of the ring – to make sure it happened. The hardwood turned out to be used against them, as Bryan entered the ring and threw Bad Bones through the table. This allowed Swagger to grab Carnage in the Ankle Lock. Carnage wasted no time in submitting, giving Bryan and Swagger their first victory in the tournament.
Tag Team Title Round Robin Match Daniel Bryan & Jack Swagger defeated Oberhausen Terror Corp (Bad Bones & Carnage) when Swagger made Carnage submit to the Ankle Lock in 10:00. Rating: 2.50
Commercial Break
Bobby Roode (0-0) vs. Hernandez (0-0) Hernandez had been looking to get his hands on both Roode and Austin Aries ever since Mayhem, when he and Justin Gabriel came up short in their tag team match. Tonight, Hernandez was hoping to get some sense of justice for his trainer and friend, Kazarian, as he stepped into the ring with Roode. After about eight minutes of going back and forth, Roode decide he had had enough and wouldn’t fight Hernandez any longer. He left the ring and walked up the ramp, refusing to get back into the ring, causing the referee to count him out.
Hernandez defeated Bobby Roode by count-out in 8:18. Rating: 2.50
After the match, Alisha Hicks is seen backstage with James Storm. Storm responds to the comments made by Jay Briscoe earlier tonight by saying that anything can happen inside a wrestling ring on any given night. He acknowledges that he lost to Roderick Strong last week, but is quick to point out that Briscoe did not win his match last week either. Storm says that what happened last week doesn’t matter tonight. The only thing that matters is what happens when they step into the ring in just a few minutes. He tells Briscoe that he better be prepared, because he’s sorry about Briscoe’s damn luck.
Commercial Break
A preview for “Divide & Conquer” is shown. When the video ends, Heavyweight Champion The Esperanza’s music plays. The champion makes his way to ringside, joining the commentators for the main event.
Number One Contenders’ Match James Storm (0-1) vs. Jay Briscoe (1-0-1) There was added tension inside the arena as this match began. The mini-feud between Storm and Briscoe has been raging since Mayhem, and tonight looked to be the end of things between the two of them for the time being. Knowing what was at stake, both men stopped at nothing in order to earn the chance to challenge for the Heavyweight Title at “Divide & Conquer”. However, a huge twist came late in the match, when both men were lying on the canvas, exhausted. The Esperanza got up from the broadcast table and walked over to the ring, handing something to Briscoe. Once both men got to their feet, Briscoe connected with a Discus Punch that sent Storm to the canvas, motionless. Briscoe tucked whatever he had into his pocket and made the cover as the referee counted the 1-2-3!
After the match, Briscoe rolled out of the ring in shock, staring at his former partner as he made his way up the ramp.
Number One Contenders’ Match Jay Briscoe pinned James Storm after the Discus Punch in 12:37. Rating: 4.00
Card rating: 3.00

Definitely got to give you credit. As I've taken several long lapses over the years, your feds have been the one constant on these boards. Much respect to you for that.

Definitely got to give you credit. As I've taken several long lapses over the years, your feds have been the one constant on these boards. Much respect to you for that. I appreciate that, thank you! I've had plenty of times where I've gone weeks/months without posting, but at this rate, I'm too invested in this "world" to start over with anything new. I hope to keep this going until I'm forced to stop.

PCW Wrestling April 16, 2013 Alliant Energy Center – Madison, WI Attendance: 7,571
Justin Gabriel starts off the show, storming down to the ring and demanding to know who put the newspaper article in his locker last week. He demands that Suicide face him like a man. Instead, Television Champion Kenny King confronts Gabriel and says that, even if he fights King with all he has on Saturday night, Gabriel isn’t fit to be Television Champion. King asks Gabriel how it feels to have the only fight he can win be against his now-ex-girlfriend. Furious, Gabriel attacks King with the microphone before an all-out brawl ensues. Officials rush down to the ring, breaking up the fight, as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
David Otunga (0-0) vs. Wade Barrett (0-0) Otunga proved to be a tougher opponent than Barrett was expecting in the opening match tonight. However, the former British Bad Boy eventually secured a victory after hitting his third Wasteland of the night to advance to 1-0.
Wade Barrett pinned David Otunga with the Wasteland in 10:04. Rating: 2.50
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen backstage with Nikki Bella. Brooke says that over the past few weeks, Natalya has mentioned that she would be looking at what the women in PCW have to offer before settling in on who would be receiving a title match at “Divide & Conquer”. Nikki says that she’s been all too aware of what Natalya was looking for, and she feels like she has been performing on a much higher level than the other women in the division. Nikki tells Brooke that, right here and now, she is officially challenging Natalya to a match this Sunday night. Bella walks away leaving Brooke nodding her head.
Bayley (0-0) vs. Newling-sama (0-0) For the better part of the year, Bayley has found herself on the short end of the stick when it comes to winning matches. Giving credit where it’s due, it’s certainly not due to a lack of her trying, but for one reason or another, she keeps finding herself with her shoulders on the mat. She came into this match with a chance to reverse that trend against Newling-sama, but those chances changed very quickly when Bayley wasn’t able to put the match away early on. Newling-sama fought hard, and that tenacity started getting under Bayley’s skin. This resulted in Bayley grabbing a chair and bringing it into the ring. Ignoring the referee’s repeated warnings, Bayley cracked the chair across Newling-sama’s back, getting herself DQ’d in the process. Bayley stood in the center of the ring, screaming, as the show went to commercials
Newling-sama defeated Bayley by DQ in 8:05. Rating: 2.25
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Hernandez is seen walking through the hallways in the back of the arena. As he rounds the corner, he is blindsided by Austin Aries and Bobby Roode. Aries and Roode assault Hernandez, leaving him crumpled in a corner. Roode squats down, holding Hernandez’s face in his hand, and says that neither Kazarian nor Drew McIntyre care about him. Roode tells him that Hernandez is all alone, and that the vengeance he’s looking for will never come. Roode slaps Hernandez before standing up and walking away with Aries.
Tag Team Title Round Robin Match Daniel Bryan & Jack Swagger (1-0) vs. Drew McIntyre & Justin Gabriel (0-1) As the Round Robin tournament rages on, there are only a couple matches left until new Tag Team Champions are crowned. Heading into tonight, The Dirty Heels still had a one-match lead over the rest of the field, but these two teams were looking to close the gap as we get closer to Divide & Conquer on Sunday. McIntyre and Gabriel picked up the victory tonight after Gabriel connected with a 450 splash on Swagger to pick up the win. The victory now puts McIntyre and Gabriel in a tie with Bryan and Swagger in second place.
Round Robin Match: Drew McIntyre & Justin Gabriel defeated Daniel Bryan & Jack Swagger when J. Gabriel pinned Swagger with the 450 Splash in 8:21. Rating: 2.50
Commercial Break
Jay Briscoe’s music begins to play as he makes his way to the ring. He enters the ring and paces back and forth before finally getting a microphone. Briscoe says that there have been a lot of questions asked since last week and the events that happened during the main event. He says the big one has been whether he and The Esperanza are still a team after The Esperanza helped him beat James Storm. Briscoe says that he’s confused about that as well and has been asking himself the same question all week long. He says there’s only one way to find out the truth before calling out The Esperanza to join him in the ring.
A moment passes before the video screen above the ramp flickers to live revealing Roderick Strong standing inside a living room. Strong says that this video is probably going to piss Briscoe off the most because it shows just how easy Strong can access everything Briscoe loves. He says that he’s going to take everyone on a tour of the Briscoe household as he walks through the rooms. Strong stops in the master bedroom, stopping to look directly into the camera, and says that he couldn’t be deeper inside Briscoe’s mind. He says that he’s not a hard man to find before laughing and cutting off the video.
As the video ends, Briscoe throws down the microphone and leaves the ring, running up the ramp, as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
Cody Rhodes (0-0) vs. Bad Bones (0-0) Cody Rhodes returned to the world of wrestling after a stint in rehab at the beginning of the month. Though he has found himself in a vicious feud on the main roster, Rhodes had not been seen on PCW television until tonight. On the other hand, Bad Bones has been fighting with his partner, Carnage, in the Round Robin tournament, hoping to be named the new Tag Team Champions. Looking up from the bottom of the rankings, a victory for either one of them could potentially be the motivation they need to help them in the tournament. Tonight, that victory is exactly what Bad Bones got after hitting the Shadow Driver on Rhodes for the 1-2-3.
Bad Bones pinned Cody Rhodes with the Shadow Driver in 10:44. Rating: 3.00
Commercial Break
A final preview for “Divide & Conquer” is shown. It is announced that Natalya has accepted Nikki Bella’s challenge, and the Women’s Title will be defended on Saturday night.
Hernandez (1-0) vs. Roderick Strong (1-0) Hernandez was slated to be in tonight’s main event and was expecting to be at a hundred percent when the bell rang, but Austin Aries and Bobby Roode had other intentions, attacking Hernandez backstage earlier in the evening. This put Hernandez at a big disadvantage against Strong, who earlier tonight had a very eerie message for Jay Briscoe. Strong looked like he was going to be the runaway winner of this match, but Briscoe – who had vowed to find Strong – ran down to the ring, breaking up a pinfall attempt, causing the referee to call for the bell. A brawl ensued between the two men, until officials rushed down and broke them apart. Briscoe calls Strong a “dead man” and promises things aren’t over as the show goes off the air.
Roderick Strong defeated Hernandez by DQ in 12:24. Rating: 3.00 (Jay Briscoe interfered against Roderick Strong.)

PCW: Divide & Conquer PPV April 20, 2013 Walkup Skydome – Flagstaff, Arizona Attendance: 10,444
An exterior shot of the Walkup Skydome is shown. Inside the arena, fireworks explode from the stage as Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to the campus of Northern Arizona, where tonight, former tag team partners Jay Briscoe and The Esperanza will square off for the PCW Heavyweight Title. They quickly send things to the ring for the first match of the night.
PCW Women’s Title Match Nikki Bella (1-0) vs. © Natalya (0-0) Nikki Bella has proclaimed herself the Number One Contender saying that, after watching all the other women on the roster fail, she knew she would be the only to take away Natalya’s title. Tonight, she was given that chance, but Natalya had other ideas. Bella held her own for most of the match, but as both women battled outside the ring, Natalya hit a devastating suplex onto the concrete floor! Seizing her opportunity, Natalya rolled Nikki back into the ring and made the pinfall for a successful title defense.
[PCW Women’s Title Match]: Natalya defeated Nikki Bella via pinfall in 10:32. Rating: 1.50 (Natalya retained the PCW Women’s Title.)
In the backstage area, Brooke Barlow asks Drew McIntyre about the attack on Hernandez by Austin Aries and Bobby Roode on Tuesday night, and the claims that McIntyre doesn’t care. McIntyre tells Brooke that, of course, he didn’t like to see Hernandez get attacked. But he says tonight he is focused on winning the Tag Team Titles. Anything else can be taken care of after tonight.
In their locker room, Austin Aries and Bobby Roode are seen getting ready for their match later tonight. Aries says that they are going to prove, without a doubt, that they are the best tag team in the PCW. Roode says that when they leave this hell-hole of a town, they are going to celebrate like never before.
Tag Team Title Round Robin Match The Oberhausen Terror Corp (0-2) vs. Drew McIntyre & Justin Gabriel (1-1) The first of the final two round robin matches started off with a bang as Drew McIntyre came down to the ring with without Justin Gabriel by his side. Upset by being alone, McIntyre got on the microphone and told Gabriel that he had an obligation. McIntyre demanded to know where Gabriel was when an image appeared on the video screen above the stage that showed Gabriel laying face-down on the concrete in the parking lot of the arena. Shocked, the announcers began wondering who would take Gabriel’s place. After a few moments, CODY RHODES appeared on-stage, offering his services for the match. McIntyre accepted the offer and the match was on.
During the match, it was obvious that the German duo were going to have the advantage of having worked together in the past. That would prove to be a big plus if they were hoping to spoil McIntyre’s plan of becoming Tag Team Champion. However, it didn’t take long for McIntyre and Rhodes to begin to gel, which through the Terror Corp off their game. This resulted in Bad Bones bringing a steel chair into the ring. As he and Carnage worked over McIntyre, out of anger, Carnage grabbed the Scotsman by the arms. Bad Bones swung the chair, but McIntyre ducked out of the way, the chair smashing Carnage on the top of the head! McIntyre rolled Bad Bones up for the 1-2-3!
Tag Team Title Round Robin Match: Drew McIntyre & Cody Rhodes defeated Carnage & Bad Bones when D. McIntyre pinned Bones after a roll-up in 10:18. Rating: 2.50 (Justin Gabriel no-showed.)
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Daniel Bryan and Jack Swagger. Bryan says that tonight is a huge opportunity for them, as they have a chance to stop The Dirty Heels from becoming Tag Team Champions. Swagger says that the Heels’ reign of torment is over. Ever since they came into the PCW, Aries and Roode have been nothing but bullies. Swagger says he’ll take great pride in knocking them down a peg.
In a pre-recorded video, James Storm says that he has been looking forward to the chance to step into the ring with Jon Ryan for nearly a month now. Storm says that Ryan is the main reason why he’s not the PCW Heavyweight Champion right now, and that doesn’t sit well with Storm. He promises that Ryan will not have a good night and his sorry about Ryan’s damn luck.
Tag Team Title Round Robin Match Daniel Bryan & Jack Swagger (1-1) vs. The Dirty Heels (2-0) The final match in the round robin tournament saw Daniel Bryan and Jack Swagger attempting to stop the undefeated streak of The Dirty Heels. Bryan and Swagger made their plans clear of wanting to stop the bullying that Aries and Roode have been doing to some members of the roster, along with stopping their path to the Tag Team Titles. However, Aries and Roode have shown that they really don’t care what people think of their actions, and that they are willing to do what it takes to get those title belts around their waists. As is becoming their MO, the duo used a number of double-team tactics and under-handed moves to get the better of their opponents. While Roode and Bryan were brawling outside the ring, Aries connected with a 450 Splash on Swagger for the victory!
Tag Team Title Round Robin Match: The Dirty Heels (Austin Aries & Bobby Roode) defeated Daniel Bryan & Jacks Swagger when Aries pinned Swagger with the 450 Splash in 13:22. Rating: 3.00
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Jon Ryan. Brooke says that the PCW have only seen Ryan a couple times on-screen, and she asks his thoughts about the statements made by James Storm earlier tonight. Ryan says that he is, without a doubt, the greatest wrestler in the world. For those that doubt him, they can look at his 1-0 record for proof. He says he will defeat James Storm tonight and continue his perfect record!
A pre-recorded vignette is shown of Justin Gabriel talking about the pressures he has been facing that have nothing to do with wrestling over the past few weeks. He says that he has the weight of the world on his shoulders, but nothing is going to stop him from taking back the Television Title tonight. When the video ends, the announcers speculate as to what kind of condition Gabriel is in after being attacked earlier.
Jon Ryan (1-0) vs. James Storm (0-2) James Storm was ready to take on one of his biggest challenges for the Heavyweight Title last month. That challenge was made even harder when Jon Ryan debuted, causing Storm to get pinned for the final elimination in the match. Both men have been relatively quiet heading into this match, but once the bell rang, it was obvious that Storm was looking to get his frustrations about. However, Ryan – who claims to be the greatest wrestler ever – had a counter for most of Storm’s offense. This match went back and forth, even spilling out to the ringside area, where both men continued to brawl, ignoring the referee’s 10-count. The bell rang, ending the match, as both men were counted out. Officials ran down from the backstage area to break up the brawl, finally separating the two men.
Jon Ryan and James Storm battled to a double countout in 13:28. Rating: 2.50
In the backstage area, Jay Briscoe and his family are seen speaking to a security guard. Briscoe tells the guard to keep a close eye on his wife and kids, otherwise he’ll have to answer to Briscoe himself. The guard promises to do everything he can to keep them safe before escorting them into the arena.
Also backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Television Champion Kenny King. King says that he’s been loving the last month because everyone is starting to find out who the real Justin Gabriel is. King says that Gabriel has proven to be a horrible human being when he’s not in the public eye, and that he is clearly not fit to be champion. King says that shouldn’t be a problem tonight because someone has already gotten their hands on Gabriel, which should make things that much easier for King to keep the title.
Television Title, Falls Count Anywhere Match Justin Gabriel (0-0-1) vs. © Kenny King (0-0-1) It had been a tumultuous last month for Justin Gabriel, as he battled the public scrutiny and blowback from his arrest back home in South Africa, on allegations of domestic abuse. Along with the fight he’s waging in the public eye, Gabriel has been decking things out with Kenny King over the Television Title since the two swapped the belt at Mayhem. But if things weren’t bad enough, earlier tonight, Gabriel was attacked by someone backstage, leaving him motionless in the locker room.
Kenny King walked down to the ring in the best of moods when he was announced for tonight’s match. After Gabriel was introduced and did not appear on-stage, King grabbed a microphone and stated that, as champion, he wanted to institute a forfeiture clause if Gabriel was not able to reach the ring by the count of 10, he would forfeit the match and lose his chance at a rematch. King instructed the referee to begin counting, and as the referee counted to five, Gabriel appeared through the curtains to a tremendous roar from the crowd. Gabriel made it to the ring by the count of nine, but by now, King was shocked to see him. Gabriel and King fought in the ring and all over the ringside area, even getting the fans involved before Gabriel hit the 450 Splash off the front railing of the first-level seating to regain the Television Title!
Television Title, Falls Count Anywhere Match: Justin Gabriel pinned Kenny King with the 450 Splash in 18:07. Rating: 3.50 (Justin Gabriel won the PCW Television Title.)
After the match, a vignette is shown of someone watching a security guard escorting Jay Briscoe’s family to their seats at ringside. Roderick Strong can then be heard promising that he will see them later tonight before the video abruptly ends.
champ how he feels about facing his former tag team partner tonight with the title on the line. The Esperanza, in broken English, says that Jay Briscoe is a good athlete and a former champion, but he was very upset when Briscoe defeated him weeks ago. The Esperanza says the loss as stayed with him and, tonight, whether Briscoe is a friend of not, he will get retribution.
A preview for the next PCW event – Gold Rush – Is shown.
PCW Heavyweight Title Match Jay Briscoe (1-1-1) vs. © The Esperanza (0-1) On the night after Mayhem, these two men – former partners – found themselves in the ring in a match where the title was not on the line. Briscoe was able to pick up the victory that night, but for the next three weeks, Briscoe found himself trying to protect his family from the stalkerous actions being taken by Roderick Strong. Ever since his lost on that night, The Esperanza has been a relative recluse, staying out of the spotlight. Tonight, questions arose of whether The Esperanza would be prepared to defend the title against the man who had previously beaten him; and would Briscoe be able to overcome his personal issues to win the Heavyweight Title? The answer would turn out to go in the favor of the current champion as, after a very brutal back and forth match, RODERICK STRONG appeared at ringside, standing just off to the side of where Briscoe’s family was sitting. Briscoe jumped out of the ring and the two men started sharing words. This allowed The Esperanza to grab Briscoe from behind and whip him shoulder and head-first into the ring post! The Esperanza rolled Briscoe back into the ring and covered him for the three-count.
After the match, Strong walked away with a satisfied smile on his face. The Esperazna stood over his former partner, being awarded the Heavyweight Title, as the show went off the air.
PCW Heavyweight Title Match: The Esperanza defeated Jay Briscoe by pinfall in 16:35. Rating: 3.50 (The Esperanza retained the PCW Heavyweight Title.)

PCW Heavyweight Champion THE ESPERANZA appears on-stage alongside NEWLING-SAMA, which gets a shocked reaction from the crowd. The duo walks to the ring where Newling is handed a microphone, while The Esperanza stands behind her, holding the title over his shoulder. Newling says that The Esperanza will prove to be the best all-around wrestler in the PCW for as long as he wishes to grace the company with his presence.

He then exits the stage, leaving The Esperanza and Newling-sama standing in the center of the ring.
Commercial Break
Rhett Titus (0-1) vs. The Amazing Red (1-0) Last week, The Amazing Red picked up a victory, but he caught the short end of the stick in the process. Red won the match after Luke Gallows cracked a steel chair over his skull and left him laying in the ring. Luckily tonight, for Red, he had better success against Rhett Titus, although he used questionable tactics to do so. Red connected with a flying sunset flip off the second turnbuckle, and during the pin attempt, grabbed a handful of Titus’ trunks, not allowing him to kick out. After the match, Red slipped out of the ring as to avoid an upset Titus.
The Amazing Red pinned Rhett Titus after a flying sunset flip in 10:11. Rating: 3.25

Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen congratulating Women’s Champion NATALYA on her title defense at Divide & Conquer. Natalya thanks Brooke and says that it’s a privilege to stand here tonight, carrying the Women’s Title for a little bit longer. She says that anything could change in this business; but the one thing that will never change is that she will be a fighting champion. Natalya says that, as of tonight, she is starting at Square One again. When asked, Natalya explains that every woman on the PCW roster has a shot at her title. It’s just a matter of who wants it bad enough.
Bayley (0-1) vs. Nikki Bella (1-1) With the champion’s new claim that everyone has a shot at the Women’s Title, BAYLEY and NIKKI BELLA were the first two with the chance to set the bar going forward. Bayley has continued to slide down the ladder over the past few weeks, but a victory tonight would certainly help her case for a future title match. Bella, who is coming off a failed championship attempt at Divide & Conquer was looking to get right back in line for another shot. Bayley fought hard and left her all inside the ring tonight, but Bella’s determination was able to propel her to victory after hitting a Bella Buster for the 1-2-3.
Nikki Bella pinned Bayley with the Bella Buster in 8:50. Rating: 1.50
Commercial Break
David Otunga & Shinya Ishikawa (0-0) vs. The Oberhausen Terror Corp (0-3) Shinya Ishikawa was making his return to the ring for the first time since watching his former partner, Sheamus depart from PCW. Tonight, Shinya was looking to get off to a good start with new partner David Otunga as they stepped into the ring with the winless duo from Germany. Earlier tonight, Bad Bones made a bold statement when he issued a challenge to The Esperanza for the Heavyweight Title at Gold Rush. Things started off rough for the new partners, as Bad Bones and Carnage looked in control from the start. That all changed when The Esperanza came down to ringside. After hitting a superplex on Shinya, Bad Bones made the cover only to get attacked by the Heavyweight Champion, an apparent acceptance of Bones’ challenge. After the match, Carnage entered the ring to avenge his partner, but The Esperanza escaped and shook his head as his walked up the ramp.
The Oberhausen Terror Corps (Bad Bones & Carnage) defeated David Otunga & Shinya Ishikawa when Bad Bones defeated S. Ishikawa by DQ in 11:12. Rating: 2.00 [The Esperanza interfered against Bad Bones.]
Commercial Break
After the break, Jay Briscoe makes his way to the ring, where he grabs a microphone. Briscoe wastes no time in saying that there is only one reason why the PCW Heavyweight Title is not in his hands: Roderick Strong. Briscoe says that it should be clear to everyone that Roderick Strong screwed him out of a chance to win the Heavyweight Title on Saturday night. He says that The Esperanza beat him and is still the champion; there’s nothing he can do about that. But, Briscoe says there is something he can do about Strong, and he demands that Strong face him like a man in the center of the ring… NOW.
Briscoe continues to stare at the entrance ramp and doesn’t see Strong jump the barricade and slide into the ring. Strong attacks Briscoe from behind, assaulting him, and leaving him laying in the middle of the ring. Strong stands over Briscoe, laughing, as the show goes to commercials.

Non-Title Match © Justin Gabriel (1-0-1) vs. Hernandez (1-1) Seventy-two hours after regaining the Television Title at Divide & Conquer, Justin Gabriel stepped into the ring with Hernandez, who has been having issues with The Dirty Heels as of late. Gabriel, facing his own personal demons, even after his victory, came out looking strong from the start of the match. Hernandez fought hard, but was not able to upset the newly-crowned five-time champion. After taking the match outside the ring, Gabriel whipped Hernandez into the ring post. In the video replay, it appeared that Hernandez struck the steel post with the side of his head which caused him to be wobbly on his feet. Gabriel rolled Hernandez into the ring and made the quick cover for the victory.
[Non-Title Match]: Justin Gabriel defeated Hernandez by pinfall in 11:05. Rating: 2.50
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Commissioner Rex Butler is seen standing in the center of the ring. Standing next to Butler is a glass case containing the PCW Tag Team Titles. Butler recalls the last month and says that four teams had the chance to put themselves above the rest, and only one team was able to do that. Butler says that one team set the bar higher than was expected, and they are the ones he wants to ask to join him in the ring tonight. Butler calls out Austin Aries and Bobby Roode – The Dirty Heels – and the duo make their way to the ring. Butler offers his hand to both men, only for them to reject the handshake. Roode grabs a microphone and tells Butler that they are not out here to have their asses kissed because they know they are the best tag team in PCW. Roode tells Butler to do his job and give them the titles they earned.
Butler stares a hole through Roode as he undoes the case. As he’s handing the belts to them, Aries gets the microphone and says that he and Roode had a plan from the very start. Neither one of them wanted to team up if there was no chance of them winning these very belts. Tonight proves that they knew, when they made their deal, that nothing was going to stand in their way. He says they went through three other teams and embarrassed them all because none of them are in the same league as he and Roode. Aries says that until a team proves they are more worthy of being champions, everyone should get used to see he and Roode with the titles around their waists.
Aries give his title belt to Roode, standing outside the ring, and begins taking his suit off, revealing his ring gear underneath. It is announced that Aries will be in action when the show returns.
Commercial Break
Roderick Strong (2-0) vs. Austin Aries (0-0) Austin Aries was making his singles debut tonight, just moment after he and Bobby Roode were awarded the PCW Tag Team Titles. It was clear that Aries was riding high going into this match, but Roderick Strong quickly put a damper on that mood, as he dominated this match from the start. Strong was coming into this match with an undefeated streak and had gotten a sneak attack in on Jay Briscoe earlier in the evening. Aries is very talented in the ring, and he nearly overcame Strong on a few occasions throughout this match. But Strong put things to rest when he locked on the Strong Hold, eventually causing Aries to tap out.
Roderick Strong made Austin Aries submit to the Strong Hold in 8:12. Rating: 3.50
After the match, as Strong celebrated, Jay Briscoe ran down the ramp and slid into the ring. The two started brawling, going back and forth, until Briscoe stepped back and landed a superkick to Strong’s jaw. Briscoe continued to assault Strong before leaving the ring and grabbing a steel chair from the announce table. He brought it into the ring and began smashing it against Strong’s back and head. Briscoe landed a few more punches before opening the chair and placing Strong’s head into the opening. Briscoe yelled at Strong, saying that this is what he gets for f***king with his family. PCW officials rushed down to ringside, begging Briscoe to stop, but Briscoe wouldn’t listen. He stomped on the end of the chair, crushing it against Strong’s chest and throat. The officials tried to enter the ring, but Briscoe pushed them away before stomping on the chair one last time. Commissioner Butler entered the ring and demanded that Briscoe leave the ring while the officials called down the EMTs to tend to Strong. Briscoe exited the ring and stormed up the ramp, not looking back. The show went off the air showing the scene inside the ring.

PCW Wrestling April 30, 2013 Salem Civic Center – Salem, VA Attendance: 3,274
A recap video from last week is shown. In it, Roderick Strong is shown defeating Austin Aries in his singles debut. The video then shows the vicious attack on Strong by Jay Briscoe and the ensuing events that ended with Strong being carted backstage on a stretcher and loaded into a waiting ambulance. The video ends as Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield solemnly welcome everyone to Salem, Virginia for this week’s edition of PCW Wrestling. The announcers talk about how they have not received any updates on Strong’s conditions, but the fear is that Briscoe’s actions could have crushed Strong’s vocal cord or possibly broken his neck.
They are interrupted as JAY BRISCOE makes his way onto the stage, smiling. The crowd in Salem isn’t sure how to respond to him, but Briscoe doesn’t seem to mind as he walks down the aisle and enters the ring. Grabbing a microphone, Briscoe says that he has been on Cloud Nine for the past week. Ever since ridding PCW of Roderick Strong his wife is safer, his kids are safe, and most importantly, Briscoe has gotten rid of the biggest pain in his ass in some time! A slow rumble of boos builds in the crowd, but Briscoe says that the people in Salem haven’t had to worry day in and day out whether or not someone was coming after their families. He says that PCW is now a much better place without Roderick Strong; and he doesn’t have to continuously worry about where his family is at all times.
Before Briscoe can continue, COMMISSIONER BUTLER makes his way on-stage with a microphone of his own. Butler says he doesn’t know if he should proud of Briscoe for exercising his personal demon or disgusted by the methods in which he did so. Either way, Briscoe caused extreme bodily harm to Roderick Strong last week, and it’s nothing something that can be tolerated. Butler says that over the past week, he has been in communication with Peter Bradshaw about what should happen going forward. Butler says he is out here to inform Briscoe – in front of the world – that, due to his actions last week, he is being suspended indefinitely. The crowd groans as Briscoe is seen fuming inside the ring. Butler then calls in a half-dozen uniformed officials to escort Briscoe from the ring and out of the arena. Briscoe yells at the officials as they try to surround him but exits the ring without incident. The group walks up the ramp and through the curtains as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
Daniel Bryan (0-0) vs. Rhett Titus (0-2) Daniel Bryan was in the ring tonight, looking to pick up his first singles victory after he and Jack Swagger finished in third place during the Round Robin Tournament for the vacated Tag Team Titles. With Swagger leaving PCW, it put Bryan back on the singles path, where he is a multiple-time winner of the Heavyweight Title. Rhett Titus, on the other hand, is coming off what he calls a tainted loss where The Amazing Red had a handful of trunks during the pinfall. Things got worse for Titus tonight, as The Amazing Red made his way to ringside during this match, tripping Titus from under the ropes. Titus got to his feet and started demanding that Red get into the ring. The distraction allowed Bryan to catch Titus off guard, hitting a double underhook suplex for the victory.
Daniel Bryan pinned Rhett Titus after a double underhook suplex in 11:18. Rating: 3.00 [The Amazing Red interfered against Rhett Titus.]
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow asks AUSTIN ARIES and BOBBY ROODE how it feels to have come out on top during the Round Robin Tournament and to win the PCW Tag Team Titles. Aries says that, despite what people think, their victory in the tournament was inevitable. He says they were hands down the best team in the tournament, and the belts were theirs to lose. Aries gives the other teams credit for doing the best they could, but there was no question that he and Roode would not be the new champions.
Roode then says that he’s been a Tag Team Champion and a Heavyweight Champion in PCW before. He says he has defeated some of the biggest names in wrestling to either win or hold those titles. Roode says he’s a man who is not going to put himself in a position to lose. He says the only way he was coming back to the Tag Team Division was if he knew, without a doubt, that he and his partner were going to be successful. Clearly, he was right. He and Aries dominated the Round Robin Tournament. They will continue to dominate the Tag Team Division for the foreseeable future. And there’s not a damn thing anyone can do about it.
Just as they are about to leave JAMES STORM and WADE BARRETT appear on-screen. Storm and Roode stare each other down as the crowd roars with anticipation. Storms tells Barrett to see what the cat dragged back into the house, referring to Roode. Storm pats the title belt on Roode’s shoulder and says that it’s good to see him again. Roode doesn’t respond but adjusts the belt on his shoulder. Storm looks at Aries and tells him to watch what he does. He knows from experience that, at the slightest hint of Roode believing that Aries won’t continue to help him be successful, he’ll turn on Aries. And when he does, those Tag Team Titles are as good as gone. Storm congratulates the duo on their victory but says he’s sorry about Aires’ damn luck because of his choice in partner. He and Barrett walk off as the camera goes back to ringside.
Non-Title Match Brie Bella (0-0) vs. © Natalya (1-0) Brie Bella, much like some remaining members of the PCW roster was looking for her first victory as part of the new “season” that began in the spring. Unfortunately for her, that first victory would have to come over the reigning Women’s Champion, Natalya. Meanwhile, Natalya was coming off an impressive victory over the other Bella, Nikki, at Divide & Conquer. She has been holding the Women’s Division at bay ever since winning the title, and a victory tonight would further supplant her place at the top of the mountain. The champion came out tonight showing a different approach to Brie, attacking her upper thigh and leg, possibly to set up for the Sharpshooter. The focused attack was beginning to show signs as a bruise was visible on Brie’s thigh. After taking the match outside the ring, Brie began to hobble on her sore leg. Natalya honed-in on the injury and landed a stiff kick to the sore area. Brie let out a scream of pain as she fell to the concrete floor. Natalya rolled Brie inside the ring and made the cover for the 1-2-3.
[Non-Title Match]: Natalya defeated Brie Bella via pinfall in 8:17. Rating: 0.75
After the match, Natalya left the ring, carrying her title belt up the ramp, as Brie slowly got to her feet with help from the referee. Brie limped her way across the canvas as the show went to commercials.
Commercial Break
Non-Title Match Shinya Ishikawa & David Otunga (0-1) vs. © The Dirty Heels (Austin Aries & Bobby Roode) (3-0) Ishikawa and Otunga made their debut as a team last week in a losing effort against The Oberhausen Terror Corp. Tonight, their challenge was going to be a little tougher, as they stepped into the ring with the new Tag Team Champions, who are coming off an impressive Round Robin victory. Tensions were already high after their altercation with James Storm and Wade Barrett earlier in the evening, so the champions were looking for an outlet. That outlet didn’t come easy as Ishikawa and Otunga showed they were not going to go away lightly. Aries and Roode tried to do everything they could to put away their opponents, but nothing seemed to be working. Added to what they were already feeling before the match started, their tensions were raised by their inability to pick up an easy win. That caused Roode to make a decision he would later regret. With Aries on the apron, arguing a slow count, Roode grabbed a steel chair from ringside and brought it back into the ring. As Ishikawa got to his feet, Roode cracked the chair over his skull! The referee quickly turned around, saw Roode with the chair in his hands, and called for the bell.
[Non-Title Match]: Shinya Ishikawa & David Otunga defeated Austin Aries & Bobby Roode when Ishikawa defeated Roode by DQ in 11:51. Rating: 2.75
After the match, Roode slammed the chair down onto the canvas. Aries was looking at him, asking “what the hell are you doing?” as Ishikawa was helped out of the ring. The show goes to commercials as Aries continues to stare at Roode.
Commercial Break
Returning from commercials, Brooke Barlow is seen with Television Champion Justin Gabriel. She congratulates Gabriel on winning the title for the fifth time and asks if this victory feels any different the previous ones. Gabriel says the only different he feels now is that he was able to get retribution on the one person who tried to take advantage of the things going on in his personal life. Gabriel says that by winning the title back at Divide & Conquer, he proved that, even when his personal world is falling apart, he can raise to the occasion and get the job done when it’s needed. Gabriel says he still needs to get one more thing done and over with before he can finally find peace and move on. He calls out this man named Suicide for being the one that brought all of this to light. Gabriel starts to say that they are on a collision course, but SUICIDE attacks him from behind!
The two men begin to brawl backstage, exchanging blows. Gabriel tries to take off Suicide’s mask, but Suicide rams him into the brick wall. Suicide lands a few blows to Gabriel’s midsection before he crumples to the ground in pain. Suicide grabs the TV Title from the ground and holds it in the air. With his other hand, he makes a gun with his hand, pointing it at Gabriel. He than toss the belt into Gabriel’s lap before walking away as the show goes to commercials.
Commercial Break
Petey Williams (0-0) vs. Hernandez (1-2) The fans in Salem were on their feet, cheering, as PETEY WILLIAMS was introduced tonight. Williams, coming his run with TNA, was making his PCW debut tonight against a man whom he had met with a number of times in their previous promotion, but the last time these two men stepped into the ring together was nearly five years ago. Things obviously have changed since their last encounter as both men are now singles competitors, but the action was as hot as ever. Williams, known for one of the more-impressive finishers in the business, The Canadian Destroyer, was unable to hit the maneuver tonight as Hernandez appeared to have a handle on things. Williams did kick out at two after being hit with the Border Toss, but it was clear that the move had taken its toll. Hernandez picked up the win after hitting a sitout power bomb, giving Williams a not-so-warm welcome to his new home.
Hernandez pinned Petey Williams after a sitout power bomb in 10:19. Rating: 2.25
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow is backstage with CARNAGE. Brooke asks Carnage about his partner Bad Bones naming himself the number-one contender for the Heavyweight Title. Carnage says Bad Bones has his reason for challenging for the title. Carnage assumes that his partner feels he is the best choice to fight The Esperanza for the Heavyweight Title and he says that he supports his partner’s decision fully.
The interview is interrupted as THE ESPERANZA and NEWLING-SAMA approach Carnage. In broken English, the champion calls Carnage a fool and says that he is going to make Bad Bones look like a fool when they step into the ring together. He says he doesn’t have time to waste on people like Carnage. He says something to Newling-sama in Japanese before walking away. Newling suddenly kicks Carnage between the legs, dropping him to the floor. Newling walks away laughing as the camera goes to ringside.
Fatal Four Way, Non-Title Match The Amazing Red (2-0) vs. Wade Barrett (1-0) vs. Suicide (1-0) vs. © The Esperanza (w/Newling-sama) (1-1) All four of the participants in this match found themselves having themselves very interesting evenings. The question heading into the match was which one could put their individual differences to the side and pick up a victory? Three men were looking to pick up a huge boost by defeating the reigning Heavyweight Champion; and The Esperanza was looking to prove his ability to overcome the odds with a win. Red, Barrett and Suicide all seemed focused on making sure to pin the champion in order to pick up the victory. That caused more in-fighting between the three of them as the match went on. Eventually, this led to Barrett and Suicide squaring off on one side of the ring. This allowed The Esperanza and The Amazing Red to go one-on-one, which ended with the champion connecting with a stiff superkick. The Esperanza made the cover to escape with a victory.
[Non-Title Match]: The Esperanza defeated The Amazing Red, Wade Barrett, and Suicide when Esperanza pinned Red after a superkick in 8:52. Rating: 2.50
Commercial Break
Marco Corleone (0-0) vs. Bad Bones (1-0-1) Last week, Bad Bones interrupted The Esperanza’s celebration speech, naming himself as the new challenger for the Heavyweight Title at Gold Rush. Tonight, he stepped into the ring for the main event against a man who was making his PCW debut, MARCO CORLEONE. Corleone comes down the ramp, carrying an Italian flag over his shoulders, and waving it in the air as he gets into the ring. Corleone is a much larger athlete than Bad Bones is, and he wasted no time in using that advantage to take control of the match. Bad Bones fought back, unwilling to let a newcomer get the best of him as he vies for a chance at the Heavyweight Title. Corleone once again took control of the match and wore Bad Bones down. In an impressive show of strength, Corleone hit a move he calls The Mark of Excellence for the 1-2-3-.
Marco Corleone pinned Bad Bones with the Mark of Excellence in 13:11. Rating: 3.50
After the match, Corleone grabbed his flag and waved it in the air as the show goes off the air.

PCW Wrestling May 7, 2013 Farris Center (Univ. of Central Arkansas) – Conway, AR Attendance: 220 A video is shown, recapping the main event from last week’s show, which was the debut of Marco Corleone. The video shows Corleone defeating Bad Bones in last week’s main event. The video ends as Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to the sparsely-filled Farris Center on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas. They announce that Melina will take on Women’s Champion Natalya in a non-title match; and Daniel Bryan will face The Amazing Red later tonight. PCW Heavyweight Champion The Esperanza and Newling-sama make their way onto the stage, getting boos from the crowd that is scattered around the arena. They make their way down the ramp, entering the ring, where Newling-sama is handed a microphone. She calls last week’s main event an embarrassment, not only for Bad Bones, but for anyone who decided to sit through the whole thing. She gives credit to Marco Corleone for making a name for himself at the expense of the man who thinks he should be challenging for the Heavyweight Title at Gold Rush. She thanks Corleone for showing the world that Bad Bones is nowhere near the same level of competitor that The Esperanza is. CARNAGE interrupts the rest of Newling-sama’s rant. He says he’s not out to defend his tag team partner because Bad Bones can take care of himself. Carnage gets into The Esperanza’s face and calls him a bitch for having Newling-sama kick Carnage in the balls last week. He says The Esperanza wasn’t man enough to fight him backstage, and wonders if he’ll be man enough to face him in the ring instead. Commissioner REX BUTLER appears on-stage, breaking up the confrontation. Butler says that he loves the idea of seeing Carnage and The Esperanza squaring off against each other. But not tonight. Butler explains that The Esperanza is already scheduled for a match tonight, but he guarantees that Carnage will get his match next week, if the Esperanza agrees. The Esperanza knocks Carnage down with a right to the jaw. He and Newling-sama leave the ring, having answered the challenge, as the show goes to commercials. Commercial Break Rhett Titus (0-3) vs. Drew McIntyre (0-0)Drew McIntyre was making his return to singles action after he and Justin Gabriel took part in an unsuccessful effort to win the vacated Tag Team Titles. Across the ring from him tonight was Rhett Titus, who was looking to pick up his first victory in four tries. As of late, Titus has been having issues with The Amazing Red, who has continuously interjected himself into Titus’s matches. With the possibility of another interference firmly in the back of his mind, Titus succumbed to a Flatliner by McIntyre for the 1-2-3. Drew McIntyre pinned Rhett Titus after a Flatliner in 10:07. Rating: 1.50Commercial Break Backstage, Brooke Barlow congratulates Shinya Ishikawa and David Otunga on their victory over the PCW Tag Team Champions, The Dirty Heels. She asks how they are feeling this week, and Otunga tells her that they couldn’t be happier with what happened last week. Otunga says that he and Ishikawa may not have been teaming very long, but they already have a victory most teams would die for. In fact, Otunga tells Brooke that their victory last week should make them the number one contenders for the Tag Team Titles. Before Otunga continues, he is interrupted by WADE BARRETT and JAMES STORM. Barrett congratulates the duo on their victory but says that one match doesn’t mean anything. There are a number of hungry teams on the PCW roster, and he and Storm haven’t eaten in a long time. Storm then adds that, if Ishikawa and Otunga are so confident in their abilities, they’ll face them in the ring later tonight. Ishikawa grabs the microphone and says yes to the match leading to all four men staring down each other as the camera goes back to ringside. Non-Title Match Melina (0-0) vs. © Natalya (2-0)Melina has been sitting on the sidelines for the last few weeks, wondering when she would get the chance to prove herself again in the Women’s Division. She had her chance tonight, against the Women’s Champion, who was looking to score another victory along the way to her title match at Gold Rush. Over the past couple weeks, Natalya has had her issues with the self-proclaimed number one contender, Newling-sama. Those issued were escalated again tonight, as Newling-sama interfered in this match, attacking Natalya as she tried to cover Melina for the victory. [Non-Title Match]: Natalya defeated Melina by DQ in 7:00. Rating: 2.50 [Newling-sama interfered against Natalya.]After the match, Newling-sama continued to attack the Women’s Champion. But, Natalya was able to push her attack off-balance, giving her time to regain her footing. Now standing up, Natalya charged after Newling-sama, but she escaped through the ropes. Natalya, standing in the ring, yelled for Newling-sama to re-enter the ring. Newling-sama shook her head and said “not yet”, backing up the aisleway, as the show went to commercials. Commercial Break Wade Barrett & James Storm (0-0) vs. Shinya Ishikawa & David Otunga (1-1)Last week, Ishikawa and Otunga picked up a stunning victory over The Dirty Heels in a non-title match, propelling themselves into the title picture. Tonight, Wade Barrett and James Storm challenged them to put their abilities to the test to see which team was more worthy of a title shot. The answer to that question become very clear as AUSTIN ARIES and BOBBY ROODE came down to ringside. Aries grabbed Otunga, pulling him off the apron, starting a brawl outside the ring. Roode slid into the ring and connected with the Pay Off before landing lefts and rights to Ishikawa. Roode then joined Aries outside, and the two double-teamed Otunga, throwing him into the guardrail. Aries grabbed a microphone and told Barrett and Storm that they were nowhere near ready to step into the ring with the champions. Aries then bent down and told Otunga that there was no way in hell he and Ishikawa could repeat what happened last week. He says they have their match at Gold Rush. Aries dropped the microphone before landing kicks to Otunga. He and Roode then left the ringside area as the crowd booed wildly. Officials rushed to the scene, tending to Otunga and Ishikawa, as the show went to commercials. Shinya Ishikawa & David Otunga defeated Wade Barrett & James Storm when S. Ishikawa defeated W. Barrett by DQ in 10:08. Rating: 1.75 [Austin Aries interfered against Shinya Ishikawa.]Commercial Break Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen with MARCO CORLEONE. Brooke congratulates Marco on his victory last week and welcomes him to the PCW. Corleone hits on Brooke, saying she can welcome him personally after the show before laughing and saying he’s out of her league. Corleone says that, last week, he proved what everyone should already know: Italians are much better than Germans in everything. Corleone thinks he should be at the top of the Television Title rankings, and after Gold Rush, he should be first in line to get the next title shot, no matter who the champion is. He says, the only thing that would look better around his waist than Brooke, is the PCW Television Title. Brooke looks away, disgusted, as AUSTIN ARIES approaches Corleone. Aries calls Corleone a pig but says he didn’t show up to make Corleone act like a decent person. Aries is here to tell Corleone that one win won’t make him the right guy to challenge for any title in the PCW. Aries knows from experience and holds up his Tag Team Title belt. Aries tells Corleone that he doesn’t think Corleone can keep his winning streak alive because that is the only thing that will make him a contender. Aries turns to walk away and nods at Brooke as the show goes to commercials. Commercial Break Daniel Bryan (1-0) vs. The Amazing Red (2-1)The Amazing Red and Rhett Titus have been at odds with each other, ever since their match on PCW Wrestling two weeks ago. They are scheduled to meet, again, at Gold Rush, to finally settle their differences. One person who isn’t wanting this rivalry to end is Daniel Bryan. Last week, he benefitted due to Red’s interference against Titus, picking up his first victory of the new season in the process. Tonight, Bryan’s luck continued, as Titus returned the favor, hitting Red across the back with a steel chair. After falling to his knees, Red took a vicious kick to the upper back by Bryan, which incapacitated him long enough for Bryan to pick up the win. Daniel Bryan pinned The Amazing Red after a kick to the back in 10:06. Rating: 3.25 [Rhett Titus interfered against The Amazing Red.]After the match, Titus threw down the chair and made his way up the aisle, as Bryan celebrated his victory inside the ring. Commercial Break Backstage, SUICIDE is seen with Brooke Barlow. Brooke comments on Suicide’s attack on Justin Gabriel last week and asks if Suicide is issuing a challenge for the Television Title at Gold Rush. Suicide cocks his head to the side, looking at Brooke, before making a motion around his waist signifying a belt. Suicide then cocks his head to the other side and makes a gun with his hand, pointing it at the side of his head. Brooke assumes that he is challenging for the title and Suicide straightens his head. He slowly nods before turning around. As he does, JUSTIN GABRIEL is there, stopping him. Gabriel says he doesn’t know who the hell Suicide is, but for all the hell and torment he’s caused Gabriel – and after the attack last week – Suicide will get his match at Gold Rush. Gabriel makes a gun with his hand and points it between Suicide’s eyes before walking away. Marco Corleone (1-0) vs. Austin Aries (0-1)Earlier tonight, Aries and Corleone shared some words backstage after what Aries called a “disgusting” display by Corleone towards the backstage interviewer. That exchange carried over into their match as Aries looked to knock the arrogant Italian down a peg and, in the process, pick up his first victory of the new season. Corleone, the newcomer who picked up a victory last week, was hoping to knock off one-half of the Tag Team Champions and continue his winning streak. As things made their way outside the ring, Aries ducked a clothesline attempt, pushing Corleone into the ring post. Aries rolled a dazed Corleone back into the ring before hitting a sidewalk slam for the 1-2-3. Austin Aries pinned Marco Corleone after a sidewalk slam in 8:22. Rating: 1.75Commercial Break Non-Title Match Hernandez (2-2) vs. © The Esperanza (w/Newling-sama) (2-1)After picking up a victory over newcomer Petey Williams last week, Hernandez was looking to boost his record over the .500-mark with a win over the current Heavyweight Champion. The Esperanza, who started off the evening with a heated exchange with Carnage, was nowhere to be seen after being introduced at the start of the match. After a moment, BAD BONES appeared and came down to the ring, telling the referee to start the match. The change in opponent seemed to take Hernandez off his original game plan, and Bad Bones was able to capitalize, hitting a superkick for the victory. Bad Bones pinned Hernandez after a superkick in 12:06. Rating: 3.25 (The Esperanza no-showed.)After the match, Bad Bones left the ring, showing no emotion, as the announcers speculated on where the Heavyweight Champion could be. PCW Wrestling May 14, 2013 Cow Palace – Daly City, California Attendance: 11,917 Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to the iconic Cow Palace, just outside San Francisco. Four days away from the Gold Rush pay-per-view, tonight Heavyweight Champion The Esperanza will face off against Carnage in a non-title match. Last week, The Esperanza missed his scheduled match again Hernandez, and was replaced by Bad Bones. Questions arose as to who was behind the attack, and hopefully answers will be given soon. Brooke Barlow is seen standing in the center of the ring, where she introduced Bad Bones and Carnage. The Oberhausen Terror Corp made their way to the ring and tower over Brooke. Brooke said that a lot of people are wanting to know if they had anything to do with The Esperanza not making his scheduled appearance last week. Carnage grabbed the microphone and said that he was going to get to the point. Yes, he – and he alone – had everything to do with what happened to The Esperanza last week. He said The Esperanza was not a man to be admire after sucking punching Carnage at the start of the show. Carnage claimed that his actions were done in retaliation. He said The Esperanza will have a chance to do something about that when they step into the ring together, later tonight. Bad Bones then said that he would finish off The Esperanza at Gold Rush, Saturday night, and become the new Heavyweight Champion. Commercial Break Rhett Titus (0-4) vs. David Otunga (0-1)Last week, Titus had his head on a swivel, looking to stop and interference from The Amazing Red. After losing that match, Titus came into this match with a renewed focus in the hopes of picking up his first victory of the new season. Also last week, Otunga and Shinya Ishikawa were successful in their bid to become number contenders, earning themselves at Tag Team Title match against The Dirty Heels on Saturday night. Despite his strength advantage, Otunga was worn down by Titus’ speed which allowed him to hit a double underhook suplex for the victory. Rhett Titus pinned David Otunga with a double underhook suplex in 10:05. Rating: 1.75Commercial Break In the back, Austin Aries confronted Bobby Roode in their locker room. Aries told Roode that he’d been thinking about what James Storm said a couple weeks ago, about whether or not he could trust Roode. He said that he really started thinking about that a lot after Roode got them disqualified in their last match together. Aries got into Roode’s face and asked if Aries could trust him. Roode smiled and told Aries to not let Storm get into this head. He said that Aries needed to focus on their match tonight and make sure that the results don’t repeat themselves. Roode patted Aries on the shoulder before leaving the room. Non-Title Match Bayley (0-2) vs. © Natalya (3-0)Last week, Natalya was the victim of a sneak attack by number one contender Newling-sama, but was able to even the odds, forcing Sama to escape the ring. Tonight, with the threat of another attack in her mind, Natalya made incredibly short work of Bayley, slapping on the Sharpshooter and making her tap in less than a minute! [Non-Title Match]: Natalya made Bayley submit to the Sharpshooter in 0:58. Rating: 2.00After the match, Natalya grabbed a microphone and asked where Newling-sama was tonight. She said that Sama would have nowhere to run to on Saturday night, and that she would be tapping out just like Bayley. Natalya then left the ring and carried her title backstage as the show went to commercials. Commercial Break Non-Title Match James Storm & Wade Barrett (0-1) vs. © The Dirty Heels (Austin Aries & Robert Roode) (3-1)The crowd was stunned to see Robert Roode come out to the ring alone tonight, prompting questions about the status of his partnership with Austin Aries. The referee indicated that Roode would need a partner or otherwise forfeit the match. MARCO CORLEONE came to the ring, offering to tag with Roode, who reluctantly accepted. The odd combination would have benefitted Storm and Barrett in this match, but Roode allowed Corleone to do the heavy lifting tonight, wearing down Barrett. Roode tagged himself in when he felt Barrett was at his weakest point before hitting The Payoff. Corleone knocked Storm off the apron as the referee administered the three-count. [Non-Title Match]: Marco Corleone & Robert Roode defeated James Storm & Wade Barrett when Roode pinned Barrett with The Payoff in 13:24. Rating: 3.00 (Austin Aries no-showed.)After the match, Roode slid out of the ring and grabbed his title belt before walking up the ramp, obviously displeased with Aries’ disappearance. Commercial Break Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow and Television Champion JUSTIN GABRIEL are seen backstage. Brooke asked about the tense confrontation Gabriel had with Suicide last week after accepting Suicide’s challenge for the Television Title at Gold Rush. Gabriel said that he wanted to send a message to whoever it is hiding under the mask and calling themself Suicide. And the message is that, come Saturday night, they will have to settle things like men. Gabriel said that Suicide had aired his personal problems to the world, causing people he trusted to turn their backs on him. He promised that nothing would stop him from making sure Suicide regretted the decision to ever stick his nose in Gabriel’s business. Daniel Bryan (2-0) vs. Hernandez (2-3)For the third week in a row, Daniel Bryan was hoping to have some sort of outside “help” to continue his winning streak alive against Hernandez. Though the multiple-time champion did not need the help, he had benefitted from it greatly. Tonight, no such help would come, as Hernandez used his strength advantage to overpower Bryan. Bryan is known for being a tough competitor in the ring and has proven that time and time again. But tonight, Hernandez was able to connect with a vicious superkick that knocked Bryan out. Hernandez made the cover for the easy victory. Hernandez pinned Daniel Bryan after a superkick in 10:10. Rating: 1.75Commercial Break Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Newling-sama and Heavyweight Champion The Esperanza. Brooke asked about the comments made by Carnage and Bad Bones earlier tonight. The Esperanza said t that he is not a stupid man and had a very strong feeling that either Carnage or Bad Bones had something to do with his attack last week. He said if anyone was stupid it would be Carnage for admitting to attack on the night they were set to face each other. The Esperanza said that could only lead to bad things for Carnage. Before they walk away, Newling-sama grabbed the microphone and said that she hoped Natalya was watching. She said Natalya was a powerful force inside the ring, but that Sama was not afraid of her. She promised to see Natalya on Saturday night and give her every once of fight she had. The duo walked away as the scene changed to ringside. Drew McIntyre (1-0) vs. Bad Bones (2-1)Earlier tonight it was revealed that the culprit behind the attack on The Esperanza last week was none other than Bad Bones’ tag team partner, Carnage. Bad Bones had promised to finish off whatever Carnage left of the Heavyweight Champion at Gold Rush and become the new champion. Before that could happen, he had to get through Drew McIntyre who had picked up his first victory by defeating Rhett Titus. Taking exception to that loss, Titus made his way to ringside during the match, while both men were brawling outside the ring, taunting McIntyre on the floor. Bad Bones re-entered the ring, and with the referee’s back turned, Titus whipped McIntyre into the ring steps before rolling him back into the ring. Bad Bones took advantage of this, making the pinfall for the victory. Bad Bones pinned Drew McIntyre by pinfall in 10:25. Rating: 3.50 [Rhett Titus interfered against Drew McIntyre.]After the match, Bad Bones made his way up the ramp while celebrating his victory, when The Esperanza hit him in the back of the head with the Heavyweight Title! The champion continued to assault Bad Bones with lefts and rights before throwing him into the stage supports. Bad Bones tried to fight back, but a knee to the midsection caused him to buckle over in pain. The Esperanza landed more shots before bringing Bad Bones to the edge of the stage. There, he picked up Bad Bones and dropped him off the stage, through tables sitting on the concrete floor! PCW officials rushed to the scene as Commissioner Rex Butler appeared on-stage, demanding that The Esperanza leave the scene. The Esperanza grabbed his title belt as he and Newling-sama made their way to the ring. Paramedics were called in to tend to Bad Bones as the show went to commercials. Commercial Break An advertisement for GOLD RUSH is shown. GOLD RUSH will be live this Sunday, only on PPV! Non-Title Match Carnage (0-0) vs. © The Esperanza (w/Newling-sama) (2-1)With The Esperanza already in the ring after his heinous attack on Bad Bones, Carnage wasted no time entering the ring and brawling with the Heavyweight Champion. The onslaught took the champion by surprise, and Carnage was able to take advantage early on. But, with the help of Newling-sama’s continued interference, The Esperanza was able to regain control of the match. The referee had a difficult time keeping everything in order, as Newling-sama would draw his attention away, allowing The Esperanza to use under-handed tactics to keep his advantage. However, Carnage was able to fight back, tossing The Esperanza through the ropes. Carnage than pushed Newling-sama off the apron, getting a shocked response from the crowd. Carnage badmouthed her from inside the ring and didn’t see The Esperanza re-enter the ring. After a low blow from the champion, Carnage was made to tap out when put into a Short Arm Scissors. [Non-Title Match]: The Esperanza made Carnage submit to a Short Arm Scissors in 12:12. Rating: 3.00TV Rating: 2.75

PCW: Gold Rush PPV May 18, 2013 Sun National Bank Center – Trenton, New Jersey Attendance: 5,160
Commissioner Rex Butler stood in the center of the ring as Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcomed everyone to Trenton for Gold Rush. Butler said that, due to the heinous attack on Bad Bones at the hands of The Esperanza on Tuesday night’s program, Bad Bones had suffered a number of serious injuries and would no longer be challenging for the Heavyweight Title. However, Butler said there would be a Heavyweight Title match tonight, and a match to determine who will get that shot. Butler announced a Fatal Four Way Match to start off the show to determine the new challenger and said that the match would begin immediately.
Number One Contenders’ Match Marco Corleone (1-1) vs. Drew McIntyre (1-1) vs. Wade Barrett (1-1) vs. Hernandez (3-3) These four men were given a huge opportunity to start off the live show tonight. A shot at the Heavyweight Title later in the evening hung in the balance, a chance that could potentially propel the victor’s career to the next level. The one man with the most experience challenging for the Heavyweight Title was Wade Barrett, who had come up short in his previous title matches. Another shot would not come his way as he and Drew McIntyre came to blows early in the match and seemed to make things personal the longer things went on. Both men found themselves brawling on the concrete outside the ring and paying no attention to the referee’s 10-count. Both men were counted out as they continued to brawl back up the aisleway and through the curtains.
With half of the competitors eliminated on their won, Hernandez jumped at the chance to take advantage of the match, attacking Corleone from behind. After stunning Corleone, Hernandez connected with a flying clothesline to seal the deal and pick up the victory.
Hernandez defeated Marco Corleone, Drew McIntyre, and Wade Barrett: X M. Corleone and W. Barrett battled to a double countout in 14:22. X Hernandez beat D. McIntyre via a flying clothesline in 15:05. Rating: 1.50
Backstage, Brooke Barlow asked The Amazing Red what his thoughts were heading into his rematch against Rhett Titus. Red said that all along, he had enjoyed watching Titus look behind his back wherever he went. Last week, he let Titus have his cake and eat it too, picking up the victory. But Red said that tonight, just last the last time they entered the ring, he would be walking out with another victory.
A preview for the up-coming PCW event “Malicious Intent” was shown.
Rhett Titus (1-4) vs. The Amazing Red (2-2) Earlier tonight, The Amazing Red said that he looked forward to picking up his second victory over Titus. If you could call this a feud, its beginning would have been the night that Red did defeat Titus on PCW Wrestling at the end of last month. Titus took exception to that loss and attacked Red the following week, ultimately leading up to the rematch tonight. Titus came out as the aggressive, but Red was able to counter him just enough to piss Titus off. This led to Titus using some under-handed tactics to get the better of Red. But around each turn, Red was able to kick out of Titus’ pin-fall attempts. That is, until Titus used a low-blow outside the ring and whipped Red headfirst into the steel ring step! Titus rolled a Red – with blood streaming down his face – into the ring for the victory.
Rhett Titus defeated The Amazing Red via pinfall in 14:37. Rating: 3.50
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Women’s Champion Natalya. Brooke asked if Natalya had seen the comments made by Newling-sama on Tuesday night, and if she wanted to respond. Natalya said that she was, indeed, watching when Newling-sama made her comments. She said that Newling-sama showed that she was willing to talk a big game – which is great. Natalya said that she wanted her challengers to be confident; it’s a huge opportunity. Natalya said that she hoped Newling-sama would leave everything she has inside the ring tonight because that is what champions do.
Women’s Title Match Newling-sama (1-1) vs. © Natalya (4-0) Newling-sama stated that she would stop at nothing to take the Women’s Title away from the undefeated champion, Natalya. Newling-sama played mind games with the third-generation superstar, attacking Natalya after her matches, and even claiming that after she won, Newling-sama and The Esperanza would conquer the PCW. Those words proved to be fruitless as Newling-sama was able to keep good on her promise. Natalya, who has had quite the successful run since joining the PCW roster did have a struggle on her hand in this match, as Newling-sama was able to counter out of the Sharpshooter earlier in the match, even taking advantage towards the end. But the damage had already be done to her leg, and Newling-sama quickly fell victim to a second Sharpshooter attempt, quickly tapping out. With the win, Natalya continued her spotless winning streak.
[Women’s Championship Match]: Natalya made Newling-sama submit to the Sharpshooter in 13:13. Rating: 1.00 (Natalya retained the PCW Women’s Championship.)
A second advertisement for “Malicious Intent” is shown. The event will take place on June 15th, live from Bismarck, North Dakota.
Austin Aries is seen getting ready in the locker room when he is approached by Bobby Roode. Roode gets into Aries’ faces and demands to know where he was on Tuesday night. Aries tells him that maybe James Storm was right. He asks what happens if Roode turns his back on Aries if something does not go their way. Roode stops him and warns Aries not to become the weak link of the team. Roode says that all of this is ridiculous and will be forgotten once they walk out of Trenton with the Tag Team Titles… or else.
PCW Tag Team Title Match Shinya Ishikawa & David Otunga (2-1) vs. © The Dirty Heels (Austin Aries & Bobby Roode) (4-1) Austin Aries and Bobby Roode have been on a tear since debuting as a unit back in February. They quickly overcame the Tag Team division and won the Tag Team Titles at the first chance they had. Since then, they have been dropping challengers left and right. That is, until Shinya Ishikawa and David Otunga joined forces to give the champions their first loss in a non-title match. That victory earned Ishikawa and Otunga a title shot tonight, as they were hoping they could repeat their success from last time and walk away with the Tag Team Titles. Also working against the champions was their apparent in-fighting that started after some comments made by Roode’s former partner James Storm. Could the partners trust each other in order to defend the titles? That question was answered at the end of the match after Aries hit Ishikawa in the head with the title belt behind the referee’s back, picking up another successful title defense.
[PCW Tag Team Title Match]: The Dirty Heels (Austin Aries & Bobby Roode) defeated Shinya Ishikawa & David Otunga when Aries pinned Ishikawa after hitting him with the title belt in 18:17. Rating: 3.50 (The Dirty Heels retained the PCW Tag Team Titles.)
After the match, a very happy Hernandez is seen backstage with Brooke Barlow. Brooke congratulates him on his victory earlier tonight and asks how he’s feeling going into tonight’s main event against The Esperanza. Hernandez says that when he first came into PCW, he was here to avenge his friend Kaz from the likes of Austin Aries and Bobby Roode. He would never have thought he’d get an opportunity like this but promises to make the most of it. He says nothing would be a better way to show his appreciation than to use the skills Kaz taught him to win the PCW Heavyweight Championship.
Another advertisement is shown for “Malicious Intent” on June 15th.
Daniel Bryan (2-1) vs. Petey Williams (0-1) Petey Williams was still looking for his first victory since joining the PCW roster at the end of last month. Williams has wrestled all over the world and made a name for himself as a part of the TNA roster, most noticeably for his finishing move “The Canadian Destroyer”. It’s a move that Williams was looking to hit tonight and help him pick up a victory over the four-time PCW Heavyweight Champion. However, that was not the case as Bryan, who was looking to get back on the winning track, kept the high-flyer on the ground with his ground attack. This allowed Bryan to lock in the LeBell Lock and Williams had no choice but to submit.
Daniel Bryan made Petey Williams submit to the LeBell Lock in 10:24. Rating: 3.75
Backstage, Suicide walks up to Brooke Barlow and taps her on the shoulder. Turning around, Brooke comes face to face with a stack of newspaper clippings being held in Suicide’s hands. One by one, Suicide holds them up, showing various shots of Justin Gabriel in court for his domestic abuse charges. Dropping the clippings to the ground, the last photo is of Gabriel without the PCW Television Title. Suicide holds the picture up to the camera while aiming a finger gun at it from the side. Suicide drops the picture and walks away as the announcers discuss how deranged whoever the individual us under the mask.
PCW Television Title Match Suicide (1-1) vs. © Justin Gabriel (2-0-1) Justin Gabriel had been waiting for nearly a month to get Suicide inside the ring after Suicide’s shocking debut which involved informing the world about Gabriel’s personal legal issues back home. Gabriel took control early on, using that pent-up frustration to inflict damage on his masked nemesis. Gabriel needed to focus on keeping Suicide grounded, but the high-flyer was able to escape to the outside. There, the two men brawled on the floor while the referee started his ten-count. Suicide rammed Gabriel into the ring steps, and slid back inside. Gabriel barely got back into the ring at nine and the match continued. Suicide used the ropes to his advantage, hitting Gabriel with a number of high-risk moves. But, the challenger went to the well one too many times as Gabriel caught him coming off the top rope with a powerslam in the center of the ring. Gabriel worked over Suicide again, and looked ready to hit the 450 Splash, but DREW MCINTYRE ran down to the ring and shoved Gabriel to the floor!
The referee called for the bell while McIntyre continued to assault Gabriel in the ringside area. McIntyre whipped Gabriel into the ring steel barricade and landed a series of boots into the champion’s stomach. Before he could inflict more damage, McIntyre was restrained by PCW officials and escorted to the back as trainers tended to Gabriel.
[PCW Television Title Match]: Justin Gabriel defeated Suicide by DQ in 25:07. Rating: 3.75 (Justin Gabriel retained the PCW Television Title.) [Drew McIntyre interfered against Justin Gabriel.]
The final advertisement for “Malicious Intent” on June 15th is shown.
A clips is shown from Tuesday night, where The Esperanza attacked Bad Bones after his match, eventually throwing him off the stage, through a table, to the concrete floor. The announcers then talk about how Hernandez has huge shoes to fill if he wants to win the Heavyweight Title.
PCW Heavyweight Title Match Hernandez (4-3) vs. © The Esperanza (w/Newling-sama) (3-1) Hernandez was riding high on Cloud Nine heading into tonight’s main event. A victory tonight would propel him to the top of the PCW, but even a good showing would cause people to remember what he was able to accomplish tonight. He had a definite age and strength advantage over the Champion, and used both of those traits to take control early on his this match. Hernadnez wore down The Esperanza, but the ever-present Newling-sama would interject herself into the match, interrupting Hernandez’s concentration. This allowed The Esperanza to work on Hernandez’s legs, looking to take away his powerful base. However, Hernandez was able to fight through whatever the Champion threw at him. This started to frustrate Newling-sama at ringside, and she jumped onto the apron, slapping Hernandez in the face! Hernandez grabbed ahold of Newling-sama’s arm, and looked poised to strike her. But instead, he moved out of the way causing The Esperanza to run into Newling-sama, sending her crashing down to the concrete floor! Hernandez seized his chance and connected with the Boarder Toss for the 1-2-3!
After the match, Hernandez was awarded the PCW Heavyweight Title as he fell to his knees, hugging the belt. The announcers talk about what an exciting night of action was seen in Trenton, and asked what would happen on Tuesday night. The event went off the air showing Hernandez celebratingin the center of the ring.
[PCW Heavyweight Title Match]: Hernandez pinned The Esperanza with the Borrder Toss in 20:57. Rating: 4.25 (Hernandez won the PCW Heavyweight Title.) [Newling-sama interfered against Hernandez.]

Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to Newark, just three days after the crowning of a new Heavyweight Champion at Gold Rush. They announce that there will be five huge matches to start the path to the next PCW event, Malicious Intent.
Hernandez’s music begins to play as the newly-crowned Heavyweight Champion makes his way to the ring. Standing in the center of the ring, he holds the title in the air as the crowd cheers. With a giant smile on his face, Hernandez tells the crowd that he’s not coming out here to waste their time. He says he’s a man of few words, but he thought it was important to come out here tonight and get something off his chest. What happened on Saturday night was without question the biggest moment of his career, and there was only one person that he wanted to thank for that: Frankie Kazarian. Hernandez says that he knows Frankie is off on the main roster these days, but he wanted to dedicate his title victory and the length of his title reign to all the help and support that Kazarian gave him when he was first starting out in the business. He says he is thankful that Kazarian was willing to take him under his wing and teach him everything he knows. Kazarian always told him that, if he did the right things – no matter what the consequences – he would achieve great things. Standing in the ring tonight, Hernandez says that he’s achieved the greatest thing he could imagine but says there’s always more, always something that will make him better. Now that he has achieved one goal, it’s only the beginning…
After Hernandez is finished speaking, PCW Commissioner, Rex Butler appears on-stage. Butler congratulates Hernandez on his victory and says that he is going to give the new champion a chance to prove himself now that he is on the top of the mountain. Butler says that he has signed a match for tonight’s main event that will see Hernandez in a non-title match against Television Champion Justin Gabriel! Butler wishes Hernandez good luck before leaving the stage as the show goes to commercials.

Shinya Ishikawa vs. Bobby Roode Just three nights ago, these two men stood across from each other with the Tag Team Titles on the line. Tonight, they squared off again, without partners to open the show. Ishikawa, when on his own, has been inconsistent at best, having not been able to find his footing in singles competition. A win over one-half of the tag champions would be a big win for Ishikawa going forward. However, where you see Roode you are bound to see Austin Aries. That is exactly who came to ringside later in the match, taunting Shinya. The end of the match saw Aries jump onto the ring apron, as Roode whipped Shinya into the ropes, and hit him with the title belt in the back of the head. This allowed Roode to connect with a belly-to-back suplex for the 1-2-3.
Bobby Roode pinned Shinya Ishikawa after a belly-to-back suplex in 10:15. Rating: 2.50

Suicide is seen pacing back and forth when he is approached by Brooke Barlow. Brooke says that she’s never seen him so agitated, and Suicide stops pacing to look at her. In a very low voice, Suicide speaks for the very first time. He says that Saturday night Drew McIntyre showed his true colors by attacking Justin Gabriel. But in the process, McIntyre cost Suicide a chance at the Television Title; more importantly, he lost the chance to embarrass Gabriel for the sins he has committed. Suicide says that he doesn’t forget, and he doesn’t forgive until the job is finished. He says that he will get another chance to make Gabriel pay for his transgressions. But until then, he says he wants a match against Drew McIntyre next week. Suicide looks into the camera and points a finger-gun at his temple as the cameras goes to ringside…
Bayley vs. Brie Bella Last week, stepped into the ring with the Women’s Champion, Natalya, and ultimately walked away after a losing effort. This week, Bayley was looking to shake off her losing streak as of late against Brie Bella, who is priming herself for another shot at the champion very soon. If there’s one thing that can be said about Bayley, it is that she never gives up. Her determination has endeared her to fans but has not brought her much success as of yet. Tonight, that trend continued, as Brie hit the Bella Buster for the 1-2-3.
Brie Bella pinned Bayley with the Bella Buster in 9:21. Rating: 3.25
Commercial Break
Daniel Bryan vs. Suicide Suicide had some very stern words for both Drew McIntyre and Television Champion Justin Gabriel before he stepped into the ring tonight. The on-going feud between himself and Gabriel over the TV Title and Suicide’s unveiling of Gabriel’s personal issues apparently to be at an end Saturday night, but there was not clear winner thanks to McIntyre’s interference. Tonight, against Daniel Bryan, who is no slouch in the squared circle, Suicide used that frustration and picked up a nice victory by shocking Bryan with a high-speed sunset flip for the win.
After the match, as Suicide was making his way up the aisle, he was blindsided by Drew McIntyre. McIntyre whipped Suicide into the steel barricade before landing a series of kicks to Suicide’s stomach. Mcintyre dragged Suicide up the aisle and hit a Future Shock DDT onto the steel stage! McIntyre then screamed that, if Suicide wanted a match next week, he would get one!
Suicide pinned Daniel Bryan after s high-speed sunset flip in 10:03. Rating: 2.75

A training montage is shown of a young blonde woman working out and taking bumps on a blue foam pad in the famed Hart Dungeon with PCW Women’s Champion Natalya. When the montage finishes, the woman introduces herself as Rhea Ripley. Ripley says that she was asked to travel to Calgary and train with Natalya after Rhea sent some footage of her wrestling in Australia. Ripley says that it’s an honor to train where so many others have started out; and she hopes that, in the coming weeks, she can make Natalya proud.
Natalya is then seen, talking to the camera, as Rhea trains behind her. Natalya says that she sees a lot of potential in Ripley, and that she hopes one day soon, that Ripley can showcase that potential in a PCW ring.

Jon Ryan & Petey Williams vs. James Storm & Wade Barrett James Storm and Wade Barrett have been on a mission to challenge for the Tag Team Titles for a number of weeks now. Last week, their path hit a major bump when Bobby Roode and Marco Corleone – replacing Austin Aries – defeated the duo in a non-title match. Tonight, they looked to get back on track against the team of Jon Ryan and Petey Williams, who were teaming for the first time. Storm has a history with Jon Ryan dating back to Mayhem when Ryan cost Storm a shot at the Heavyweight Title. It was obvious that Storm had not forgotten about that fact, as he had his sights on Ryan the whole night. In the end, Storm got a bit of retribution after hitting a vicious spinebuster on Ryan for the 1-2-3.
James Storm & Wade Barrett defeated Jon Ryan and Petey Williams when Storm pinned Ryan after a spinebuster slam in 11:15. Rating: 2.75

Bobby Roode is seen walking up to a stretching Austin Aries, a jovial smile on his face. Standing off to the side of Aries, Roode lets out a laugh and says that Saturday night didn’t go the way he expected, but it ended the way he had hoped. He says that it was good to see Aries come to his senses and that they are now finally back on the same page.
Aries stands up and grabs his Tag Team Title, throwing it over his shoulder, and tells Roode that he was only doing what needed to be done. Roode smiles, pats Aries on the shoulder, and says that’s all he wants. Being Tag Team Champions is no small feat, and no option is off the table, ever. Roode wishes Aries good luck in his match before walking off…
Drew McIntyre vs. Austin Aries Drew McIntyre has had quite the impact on the Television Title picture over the las 24 hours. After costing Suicide his shot at the title, McIntyre manhandled the masked superstar after Suicide’s match earlier tonight and accepted a challenge to face Suicide in the ring next week. With his own match, against one half of the Tag Team Champions, the question arose of whether or not McIntyre could focus on the task at hand and not look forward to next week. That question was answered as the lights went out during the match, stopping the action in the ring. A video appeared, showing Suicide tilting his head at the camera and beginning to laugh. He held his hand up to his head, in the shape of a gun before turning it towards the camera. Suddenly the video ended, and McIntyre went down as Aries hit him with the title belt! As the lights came back on, Aries went to the top rope and connected with a flying elbowdrop for the victory.
After the match, Aries quickly slid out of the ring, grabbed his title belt, and walked up the aisle as McIntyre slowly got to his feet inside the ring.
Austin Aries pinned Drew McIntyre after a flying elbowdrop in 8:44. Rating: 2.75

Non-Title Match © Justin Gabriel vs. © Hernandez Last night, Hernandez had to go through a wringer in order to get his chance to face The Esperanza for the Heavyweight Title. After surviving an excruciating Triple Threat Match qualifier, there was little doubt that Hernandez would come up short in his championship bid. However, Hernandez was able to shock all of PCW and walk out of Gold Rush as champion. Tonight, he stepped into the ring against Justin Gabriel, the Television Champion, who has had a very hectic past couple months. Battling a number of personal demons and challengers from all fronts in the PCW. Both men were looking to pick up a big victory over the other tonight, and it looked like the match would be Hernandez’s to win after Gabriel missed a plancha onto the concrete floor. As the referee tended to Gabriel, Hernandez waited in the ring. With his back turned, Hernandez never saw THE ESPERANZA jump over the barricade. The Esperanza dragged Hernandez out of the ring and planted him with a sickening piledriver onto the concrete floor! Escaping back through the crowd, The Esperanza watched as Gabriel slowly made his way back into the ring before the 10-count. Now, with Hernandez out of the ring, the referee restarted his 10-count, which Hernandez was unable to meet, and he called for the bell.
[Non-Title Match]: Justin Gabriel defeated Hernandez by countout in 13:15. Rating: 3.25 [The Esperanza interfered against Hernandez.]

PCW Wrestling – May 28, 2013 – Augusta Civic Center (Augusta, ME) Commentators: Alfred Pressley & James Westerfield Attendance: 2,600
Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to Augusta, where tonight the Television Champion, Justin Gabriel will be in non-title action against Austin Aries. Also, since the departure of his partner Bad Bones, Carnage has been looking for a way to come back. Tonight, he might get that chance as he teams up with Cody Rhodes to take on Jon Ryan and Petey Williams.
The Esperanza’s music begins to play as he walks down to the ring, followed by Newling-sama.. The Esperanza grabs a microphone and begins talking very angrily in Japanese as Newling-sama stands beside him, nodding her head. Once he is finished, he hands the microphone to Newling-sama, who begins speaking in English. She says that PCW’s new Heavyweight Champion stood in this ring last week and wasted everyone’s time by kissing Kazarian’s backside. She says hat Kazarian is no longer on this roster, yet Hernandez still sang his praises for all to hear. She says that The Esperanza is here to tell everyone – and especially Hernandez – that he doesn’t care how much he appreciates Kazarian’s training or how much Hernandez looks up to him. The Esperanza knows that Hernandez is not that talented and if given another opportunity, could not defeat The Esperanza again with the Heavyweight Title on the line. Newling-sama says that, as of tonight, The Esperanza is using his rematch clause and challenging Hernandez for the Heavyweight Title at Malicious Intent.
With the crowd booing, the duo leaves the ring and make their way up the ramp. As they do, it is announced that the Heavyweight Champion Hernandez will be in action tonight against the other half of the Tag Team Champions, Bobby Roode.

David Otunga (0-2) vs. Shinya Ishikawa (0-2) A match between tag team partners started off the show tonight, as Otunga and Ishikawa both looked to pick up their first win of the new season. Before the match, both men shook hands in a sign of respect, but when the bell rang it was business as usual. This was a unique match as both men have grown to know each other’s styles since teaming together, making it difficult for either man to gain a real advantage. In the latter part of the match, Ishikawa took control, staggering Otunga with a stiff side kick. This allowed him to hit the Roaring Elbow for the victory.
After the match, Ishikawa helped Otunga to his feet as the two men gave each other a pat on the back. Ishikawa left the ring, celebrating his win, as Otunga watched him walk up the ramp.
Shinya Ishikawa pinned David Otunga with The Roaring Elbow in 8:08. Rating: 0.75
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Bayley who is in her ring gear. Brooke asks what must be going through Bayley’s mind as she heads into her match against Melina tonight. Bayley takes a moment before answering. She turns to look at Brooke with a serious look on her face and says that she does not know. Bayley says that the losing streak she is on has been on her mind non-stop. Every day she wakes up wanting to try something different in the hopes of getting out of the slump she is in. But no matter what, the results are the same. Tonight, Bayley says she gets another chance against Melina, but at this point she is running out of options.
Bayley turns and walks away as the show goes to commercials.

Returning from the break, Carnage is seen wrapping tape around his wrists when he is approached by Cody Rhodes. They look at each other for a moment as Carnage finishes with the tape. Cody tells Carnage that he knows what it is like to watch someone he considers a brother leave a company they’ve been in together. Cody knows that they probably will not have the same chemistry as Carnage had with Bad Bones but promises to do what is needed to pick up a victory tonight. Cody reaches out his hand but Carnage takes a moment before reluctantly shaking it.
Bayley (0-4) vs. Melina (0-1) Bayley made things quite clear in her pre-match interview earlier in the show. After struggling for so long trying to pick up a victory, she told Brooke Barlow that she was running out of options. Tonight, against Melina, it appeared from the start of the match that the weight of her own expectations were heavily on Bayley’s shoulders. Melina was happy to pounce on the opportunity and took control of the match early on. For her part, however, Bayley stayed in this match, but it seemed she was always bringing things back to even and just couldn’t do enough to bring control over to her favor. Melina ended the match after hitting a sitdown faceslam for the victory.
After the match, Bayley rolled out of the ring and crumpled next to the ring steps with her head in her hands. After a moment, she stood up and slowly walked up the ramp as the show went to commercials.
Melina pinned Bayley after a sitdown faceslam in 8:18. Rating: 2.50
Commercial Break
Carnage & Cody Rhodes (0-0) vs. Jon Ryan & Petey Williams (0-1) After their tense meeting backstage, that hopefully broke the ice between them, Carnage and Cody Rhodes came out for their match tonight against Jon Ryan and Petey Williams. Ryan and Williams came into this match with experience as a team, even though they gained that experience in a losing effort. It took a little bit for Carnage and Rhodes to start gelling as a team. But once they did, they started firing on all cylinders, taking their opponents off their game. Not knowing what else to do, Ryan tried to slide a steel chair to Williams. The referee pulled the chair away from Williams and started to argue with Ryan on the ring apron. With his back turned, Carnage grabbed the chair and cracked it over Williams’ head. Carnage made the cover as Rhodes knocked Ryan off the apron, and the referee counted the 1-2-3.
Carnage & Cody Rhodes defeated Jon Ryan & Petey Williams by pinfall after using a steel chair in 10:52. Rating: 3.00
After the match, the announcers recap a video package illustrating the history between Drew McIntyre and Suicide. It is announced that their match is NEXT!
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen with Television Champion Justin Gabriel. Brooke says that Gabriel has an announcement to make. Gabriel pats the title belt draped over his shoulder and says that, at Malicious Intent on June 15th, he will defend the championship against the winner of the Drew McIntyre-Suicide match tonight. He promises to keep a very close eye on things and walks away…
Number-One Contenders’ Match Drew McIntyre (1-3) vs. Suicide (2-2) Last week, Suicide had some very strong words for Drew McIntyre and his actions over the last few weeks. However, those words caused McIntyre to lash out later in the show, dropping Suicide with a Future Shock DDT onto the steel stage, before issuing a challenge for tonight. As if things couldn’t get anymore tense for these two, Justin Gabriel made this match an impromptu number one contenders’ match, with the winner getting a TV Title shot at Malicious Intent. Suicide came out strong showing no fear in taking on McIntyre. The match turned into a brawl outside the ring and the referee was struggling to keep control. Suicide went for a moonsault off the ring apron, only to get caught and rammed head-first into the ring post by McIntyre. After rolling Suicide back into the ring, McIntyre hit the Future Shock DDT in the center of the ring for the victory.
After the match, as McIntyre celebrated on his way up the ramp, JUSTIN GABRIEL walked out. The two men stared down each other for a tense moment as the show went to commercials.
[Number One Contenders’ Match]: Drew McIntyre pinned Suicide with the Future Shock DDT in 8:15. Rating: 3.00
Commercial Break
Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen with the HWL Tag Team Champions, Austin Aries and Bobby Roode. Before Brooke can ask a question, Roode stops her and says that he has a match and walks away. Undeterred, Brooke asks Aries about his up-coming match with TV Champion Justin Gabriel in tonight’s main event. Aries smiles and says that it would seem like Gabriel’s got his attention elsewhere lately, so it’s the perfect time to put an end to his winning streak. Aries says that’s exactly what he plans on doing before walking away himself.
Non-Title Match Bobby Roode (1-1) vs. © Hernandez (5-4) Last week, Roode opened the show with a victory and was looking to pick up another one against the Heavyweight Champion. Unlike Roode, Hernandez had a very difficult time last week. Picking up the countout loss to Justin Gabriel can’t be directly pinned on Hernandez because The Esperanza played a huge part in that decision. With no distractions this week, the Heavyweight Champion was able to show what he could do in the ring. After a close, hard-fought match, Hernandez was able to hit the Border Toss for the victory.
[Non-Title Match]: Hernandez pinned Bobby Roode with the Border Toss in 8:24. Rating: 2.75
Commercial Break
Non-Title Match © Justin Gabriel (4-0-1) vs. Austin Aries (2-1) Gabriel found out earlier tonight that he would be defending his Television Title against Drew McIntyre at Malicious Intent. He was looking to pick up a victory, as a confidence booster heading into the pay-per-view, but Aries wasn’t going to go down easily. After a match that saw both men pick up a number of near-falls, Aries looked like he had things won after hitting a 450 Splash, but Gabriel got his shoulder up just before the three-count. Gabriel was able to fight back and regain control of the match. In the end, he hit is own 450 Splash for the victory.
[Non-Title Match]: Justin Gabriel pinned Austin Aries with the 450 Splash in 13:58. Rating: 3.75
TV Rating: 3.00

Are you still using TNM Rule set? Rick's Rules?
Many of these wrestlers are not my cup of tea, but the formats are fantastic, so easy to read. Also really dig the level of detail, its not too much, but not too brief. You make it real easy to follow.

Now I'm just writing it as I would my HWL thread. Thank you! I try to find a good mix as far as my write-ups go.

So, I am trying something new with both my PCW and HWL shows. Since I have a WIKI page made for both circuits, I will be trying to post my cards directly to those pages. I will, in turn, post the links here. It saves me the time of having to post the shows in two different places (with two different editing styles). Hopefully it's not a pain in the ass for anyone... I've noticed that, just in the last couple cards I've written with the new styles, things are becoming easier. I feel more creative and I hope it shows. I'm actually starting to think my PCW circuit is more creative than my HWL circuit (at this point in time). Malicious Intent 2013

PCW Wrestling TV #150 - June 18, 2013 - Scheels Center (Fargo, ND) Attendance: 2,940
The show opened up with PCW Heavyweight Champion Hernandez coming out to the ring after losing to The Esperanza by count-out last night at Malicious Intent. A mixture of cheers and boos came from the crowd as the announcers talked about how Hernandez was able to retain the title, even after losing the match, because he was neither pinned nor submitted.
Hernandez grabbed a microphone and said that he believes that anyone who calls themselves a man should be willing and eager to back up what they’ve said. He said that The Esperanza said he would end his career if he was not able to win the Heavyweight Title last night. Hernandez says that he may have lost the match but he did not lose the title, and because of that, he wants The Esperanza to make good on his promise.
The Esperanza appeared on-stage with Newling-sama, looking very disgusted. The pair walked down the ramp and entered the ring, The Esperazna getting into Hernandez’s face. Hernandez, taking a step back, said he was going to hand the microphone over and let The Esperanza do what he needed to do. The Esperanza took the microphone and paused for a moment before attacking Hernandez with the microphone! The Esperanza continued to attack Hernandez until PCW officials rushed down to the ring and separated the two.
Commercial Break
The first match of the night was between David Otunga and Marco Corleone, both of whom were looking for their first victory of the season. It was a contest between two very strong members of the roster, but the slower pace of the match caused some fans to check out. In the end, Otunga hit Corleone with The Verdict to break his five-match losing streak.
Commercial Break
After the commercial break, the HWL Tag Team Champions Austin Aries and Bobby Roode are interviewed by Brooke Barlow about their up-coming title defense against The All-Night Express. Aries said that it ha been impressive watching King and Titus getting back into form, something no one thought would ever happen again. But, Roode added, it was too bad all of that success would come to an end tonight. He said that it would be a very long time before he and Aries lose the title belts.
For weeks now, Bayley has been struggling with her inability to pick up a victory in the ring. Has time went on, it looked as if she was starting to crack mentally. Tonight, she had another chance to pick up her first win in quite some time against Newling-sama, who had recently aligned herself with The Esperanza. Newling-sama used a number of chokeholds to wear down Bayley, making sure to break them before the referee’s five-count. It was a more aggressive side than had been seen by Newling-sama. However, in the end, Bayley was able to overcome all that to hit the Bayley-to-Belly Suplex for the win. After the match, Bayley exited the ring, joyfully celebrating her victory.
Commercial Break
The PCW Tag Team Titles were on the line in the next match as Austin Aries and Bobby Roode defended against Kenny King and Rhett Titus, who had won a number one contenders match at Malicious Intent. King and Titus were looking to extend their two-match winning streak with a title win, whereas the champions were looking to continue their reign that began in April. In the end, Roode countered a clothesline attempt by King into a crucifix. Aries, standing outside and being blocked from the referee, reached in and held King’s legs back, keeping him from kicking out. The referee counted to three as Aries and Roode successfully retained.
Commercial Break
The second hour of the show started with Wade Barrett coming down to the ring. Barrett said that he has proven to be one of the most consistent wrestlers in the PCW, and that consistency has led to him sitting on top of the Television Title rankings. Barrett said that he came out tonight to formally challenge Justin Gabriel for the Television Title at Warfront. Barrett said that his time is now and the Television Title will soon be his!
Commercial Break
Cody Rhodes took on James Storm in the fourth match of the night. Both men were looking to pick up their first win of the season in a match that consisted of a number of near-falls. Storm connected with the “Last Call” on two occasions, just to have Rhodes kick out before the three-count. Rhodes fought back, even while looking weak at the knees, and was able to hit a “Cross Rhodes” for the win.
Commercial Break
Backstage, after the commercial break, Commissioner Rex Butler was interviewed by Brooke Barlow. Butler said that there is a lot of controversy surrounding the ending of Saturday night’s title match between The Esperanza and Hernandez. He also said that what took place earlier tonight proved that there is still a lot of bad blood between those two men. So, it was time to put an end to things once and for all. Butler than announced that, next week, The Esperanza and Hernandez would meet inside a Steel Cage with the PCW Heavyweight Title on the line.
In tonight’s main event, Wade Barrett, who had issued a challenge for the Television Title earlier in the night, took on Petey Williams. This match didn’t take long before it went off the rails, as Suicide came down to the ring, looking to avenge his loss to Barrett during the pre-show for Malicious Intent on Saturday. Suicide used a steel chair, cracking it over Barrett’s back while the referee’s back was turned! This allowed Williams to use a rana to pick up the victory. After the match, Suicide entered the ring and stood over Barrett, pointing a finger-gun to the side of his head.

PCW Wrestling #151 - June 25, 2013 - Santa Ana Star Center (Rio Rancho, NM) Attendance: 4,060
The show started off with PCW Television Champion Justin Gabriel coming out to the ring. Last week, Wade Barrett had made his intentions of challenging for the Television Title at Warfront known. Tonight, Gabriel stated that he has been impressed by Barrett’s consistency as of late, and that he has positioned himself as the next challenger for Gabriel’s title. Gabriel said he welcomes the challenge of someone new but reminds everyone of Barrett’s past with coming up short in big matches. With a smirk on his face, Gabriel wises Barrett good luck, saying that he would need a lot of it at Warfront.
Commercial Break
1). Lion Kid (NR) vs. Okada (NR) — The first match of the night saw the debut of two new wrestlers to the PCW roster. Lion Kid had quickly gained a reputation of being a high-flyer in the British independent wrestling scene, and he was coming state-side to test those skills against a world of new opponents. Okada, the current IWGP Heavyweight Champion, was returning to the States after his previous time in TNA. A hard-hitting technical wrestler, Okada and Lion Kid had totally differing styles in the ring. However, Okada was able to pick up the victory with a Bridging German Suplex.
Commercial Break
In a backstage segment, PCW Women’s Champion Natalya was seen talking to Commissioner Rex Butler in his office. She placed her title on Butler’s desk and told him that she had accomplished everything there was for her to do in PCW. Surprised, Butler asked what Natalya was doing. She told Butler that she was giving him her notice, and tonight would be her last show. After an awkward silence, Natalya turned and left the room.
2). Melina (2-1) vs. Brie Bella (2-2) — At Malicious Intent, Brie Bella had the chance to win the Women’s Title, but was unsuccessful in her attempt, losing to Natalya after a backslide. She would start her ascend back up the ladder tonight against Melina. Melina, however, had not seen action for nearly a month before tonight. A win over the former title challenger would be a huge feather in her cap when it comes to being number one contender in the future. Brie’s eagerness to regain that spot led her to make a number of missteps during this match. The biggest of all was attempting a flying clothesline off the apron. Melina moved out of the way and Brie crashed down, chest-first, onto the concrete floor. Melina seized the opportunity and rolled back into the ring as the referee counted Brie out.
Commercial Break
3). Jey Uso & Tarkan Aslan (0-1) vs. Jon Ryan & Petey Williams (1-2) — Uso and Aslan made their PCW debuts two weeks ago against Ryan and Williams. Tonight was their chance to even the score, if they were able to pick up a victory. Although they worked well together in their debut, and seemed to be getting more comfortable with each other, Uso and Aslan were still not quite as cohesive as Ryan and Williams. The inability to get control of the match finally became too much for Jey Uso, who grabbed the referee and threw him into the turnbuckles. With the referee down, all four men started to brawl inside the ring. When the referee got to his feet, he quickly called for the DQ against Uso.
Commercial Break
The second hour of the show started with PCW Tag Team Champions Austin Aries and Bobby Roode coming out to the ring. Since they were not scheduled to wrestle tonight, they wanted to make an announcement. They say that, besides themselves, the rest of the Tag Team Division is “piss poor”. And, because they’ve either defeated every team they’ve faced or no one has the courage to challenge them, they are officially issuing an open challenge to any team in locker room to face them at Warfront. An opponent will be expected by next week.
Commercial Break
4). Suicide (3-5) vs. Wade Barrett (3-3) — These two fought each other in a preliminary match on the Malicious Intent pay-per-view, with Barrett picking up the victory. Since then, Barrett has issued a challenge to Justin Gabriel for the Television Title, which was accepted earlier in the show. Suicide was looking to avenge his lost on the PPV pre-show, but his string of bad luck continued tonight, as he fell victim to The Wasteland. With the win, Barrett kept adding momentum to his now-inevitable title shot at Warfront.
Commercial Break
In a backstage interview with Brooke Barlow, PCW Commissioner Rex Butler held up the Women’s Title and stated that, because of the events that took place earlier in the evening, there is a vacancy that needed to be filled. Butler then announced that, next week, there would be a Battle Royal to name the new Women’s Champion heading into Warfront. He wished all the women good luck before walking off with the title in his hand.
5). The Esperanza (4-3) vs. © Hernandez (6-6) (Cage Match for the PCW Heavyweight Title) — Tonight’s main event would be the culmination of a nearly two-month long rivalry between Hernandez and The Esperanza. The Esperanza was in the midst of a lengthy title reign when Hernandez shocked all of PCW by winning a Fatal Four Way match to earn a shot at the title, and then winning it all on one night. In the ensuing month, The Esperanza would stop at nothing to get another shot at the title, going as far as to put his career on the line. At Malicious Intent, Hernandez retained the Heavyweight Title by countout and insisted that The Esperanza stay true to his word and retire. Commissioner Butler had other ideas, insisting that Hernandez chose to walk away and not truly defend the title at the PPV, signing a cage match to be the final bout between the two men. The stipulation would remain the same: The Esperanza would either win the Heavyweight Title or retire.
Surrounded by steel bars, and with only one way for the match to be won, there was nothing that either man would stop at doing to ensure victory tonight. Hernandez was attempting to retain his title; The Esperanza was fighting for his livelihood. As cage matches go, this one did not last as long as the crowd had hoped it would. Both men gave this match everything they could with so much at stake. The ending of the match saw both men staggering, worn out from the multiple failed attempts to leave the ring, and the grueling nature of the match. The Esperanza smashed Hernandez’s head into the steel bars. With Hernandez on the mat, Newling-sama reached under the ring, pulling out a piece of rope. On one end was an opening that The Esperanza tired around Hernandez’s foot. As The Esperanza started to climb the cage wall, Hernandez started to crawl towards the door. However, the other end of the rope had a metal bar attached to it, which became stuck against the cage wall, stopping Hernandez from moving. As he struggled getting the rope off his ankle, The Esperanza dropped to the arena floor and was announced as the NEW Heavyweight Champion.

PCW Wrestling #152 - July 2, 2013 - Knoxville Civic Coliseum (Knoxville, TN) Attendance: 4,999PCW Commissioner, Rex Butler, started this week’s episode off by coming out to the ring and stating that after last week’s title match, there are questions as to who will be challenging The Esperanza for the Heavyweight Title at Warfront. Butler said that there is only a small amount of time to figure out an answer to that question, but that he had an idea on how to do just that. Butler then announced that, next week, there would be a four-man tournament to name a new challenger for the Heavyweight Title. The four men included in that tournament would be: Okada, Austin Aries, Wade Barrett, and either Bobby Roode or Petey Williams. Butler wished all five men good luck and thanked the crowd for its time before leaving the ring and heading backstage.1). David Otunga (1-5) vs. Tarkan Aslan (NR) – In tonight’s opening contest, Tarkan Aslan took place in his first singles match since debuting with the company a few weeks ago. The crowd in Knoxville did not get to see much of Aslan, as Otunga made quick work of him, hitting a vicious power bomb to end the match in under three minutes. Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with the IWPG Heavyweight Champion, Okada. When asked what he would like to accomplish in PCW, Okada said that he has had past experiences in the United States that did not go the way he had hoped. He went back to Japan and began making a name for himself. There could be no denying his talents in the, as he holds one of the most prestigious championships in the world. But, he said, there is unfinished business here in America.2). Women’s Title Battle Royal – Tonight saw three brand new athletes make their debut in PCW. “Crazy” Mary Dobson and Solo Darling were brought to the ring by their manager Daffney – who had been a staple in the HWL women’s division for years. Also making professional debut was Rhea Ripley. The Australian was poised to make a good first impression tonight, but would have a hard road in front of her. It took nearly 8 minutes for other first elimination to happen as Bayley and Nikki Bella eliminated each other as they both toppled over to the concrete. Getting back to their feet, they continued their brawl on the floor as the referees were forced to break them apart. The next elimination came as Dobson tossed Newling-sama over the top rope around the 10:00 mark. Brie Bella eliminated Melina just a couple minutes later, leaving half the participants to go. Dobson and Darling began teaming up on Bella and Ripley, forcing them to team up as well. With Brie and Dobson battling on one side of the ring, DAFFNEY grabbed Ripley’s ankle. The distraction caught the rookie off-guard, but she had enough wherewithal to sense Darling running her way, that she dropped to the canvas as Darling flung herself over the top rope for the next elimination. Across the ring, and with the referee’s not looking in her direction, Dobson bit into the cheek of Brie Bella, causing her to scream in pain! This allowed Dobson to easily toss Brie over the ropes for the next elimination, leaving two to go! Dobson set her sights on Ripley, as the two went at each other for a few minutes of singles action. After getting a quick advantage, Ripley was distracted again by Daffney jumping onto the ring apron. Confronting the former-champion-turned-manager wound up to be a huge rookie mistake for Ripley, as Dobson got back to her feet and hit a running knee to the small of Ripley’s back. After licking the side of Ripley’s face, in a show of perverseness, Dobson hit a vicious DDT before dumping Ripley to the floor for the win! After the match, Dobson was awarded the Women’s Title, as she and Daffney celebrated in the ring. 3). Lion Kid & Okada (0-0) vs. James Storm & Wade Barrett (1-2) – Last week, Lion Kid and NJPW Heavyweight Champion Okada debuted on PCW television, with Okada picking up the victory. Tonight, these two would join forces to take on Storm and Barrett, who had been making a case to becoming challengers for the Tag Team Titles. Lion Kid and Okada answered any questions that might have arose about whether they would be able to function as a unit, as Kid’s speed and Okada more-technical style took Storm and Barrett off their game. Even though Storm and Barrett were able to use their power advantage to come back in this match, it was too little too late. After isolating Barrett on the floor, Kid hitting top-rope dropkick on Storm, which immediately led to Okada hitting a Bridging German suplex for the huge victory! Returning from the break, JON RYAN and PETEY WILLIAMS made their way to the ring. They mention the open challenge made by Aries and Roode last week. They then talk about being the only top-ranked team left that has not had a Tag Team Title shot. They then announce that they are formally accepting the open challenge and want their Tag Team Title shot at Warfront. Aries and Roode appeared on-stage and said that the match is on, and that Warfront will be one of the easiest pay days they’ve had in their careers.4). Cody Rhodes (1-1) vs. © Justin Gabriel (7-0-1) [Non-Title Match] – Cody Rhodes had the chance to make a very good impression against the Television Champion in this non-title match tonight. With Wade Barrett the next in line for a title shot, which he will receive at Warfront, Rhodes is chomping at the bit, sitting in the #2 Contender’s spot. Gabriel has been on a tear since regaining the title, undefeated in his last six matches. However, Rhodes looked undeterred by Gabriel’s success as he connected with two Cross Rhodes’ during the match. Unluckily, neither was effective enough to put the champion away, and Gabriel was able to make a comeback which ultimately led to him hitting a 450 Splash for the victory. Coming back from the break, Alisha Hicks is seen with NEWLING-SAMA and the PCW Heavyweight Champion, THE ESPERANZA. Alisha congratulated Esperanza on his victory to regain the title last week, and asked for his thoughts about having to face the winner of the four-man tournament at Warfront. After speaking in Japanese, Newling-Sama said that a champion must always be prepared for battle, even if the enemy is unknown. She said that The Esperanza is the greatest champion the PCW will ever see, and that no one on the roster would be successful in taking away the Heavyweight Title. Looking into the camera, she then said that whoever won the tournament next week, that’s all they would be — a tournament winner, because there was no hope of them becoming champion at Warfront.5). Jey Uso (NR) vs. Austin Aries (3-2) – The main event tonight saw Jey Uso also making singles debut, as his partner did earlier in the show. Stepping into the ring with one-half of the Tag Team Champions, Uso showed that he was not going to back down from a fight; but Austin Aries was ready, as he wanted to send the clear message to Jon Ryan and Petey Williams that he (and Bobby Roode) would be ready for any and all challengers. After an impressive showing against the champion, Uso’s luck ran out, and Aries connected with a 450 Splash for the victory. - David Otunga def. Tarkan Aslan by pinfall (2:56)
- Mary Dobson won an 8-woman Battle Royal to win the Women's Title (23:51)
- Lion Kid & Okada def. Jon Ryan & Petey Williams by pinfall (8:15)
- (c) Justin Gabriel def. Cody Rhodes by pinfall in a non-title match (10:29)

PCW Wrestling #153 – July 9, 2013 – Cumberland Crown Coliseum (Fayetteville, NC) Attendance: 5,643 As the camera show inside the arena, James Westerfield is show standing in the center of the ring. He introduces PCW Heavyweight Champion The Esperanza, who joins him for an interview segment. Westerfield mentions the tournament being held tonight, with the winner getting a Heavyweight Title match at Warfront on Saturday night. Considering who will be in the tournament, Westerfield asks if there’s anyone that the champion is keeping an eye on. The champion says that all five men that are wanting a shot at the title have different attributes that set them apart from each other; their own styles that make each one a challenge. But The Esperanza has been in the wrestling business for over 30 years and has seen all types of competitors come and go. He says that no matter what unique abilities any of these five men have, they do not possess the ability to take away the PCW Heavyweight Title. OKADA walks on-stage, carrying the NJPW Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. He apologizes for interrupting the interview before entering the ring and standing face-to-face with The Esperanza. Okada says that he respects what The Esperanza has been able to do in professional wrestling, saying that it’s a testament to his abilities that he has been able to do it for so long. Okada mentions that The Esperanza was a former NJPW Heavyweight Champion, whereas Okada is the current title holder. He says that if things continue to go the way they have, then on Saturday night, The Esperanza will be a former PCW Heavyweight Champion and Okada will become the new champion. The Esperanza and Okada then square off in the center of the ring. Okada backs away and leaves the ring as the show goes to commercials. Commercial Break 1). Petey Williams (2-2) vs. Bobby Roode (2-2) [Heavyweight Title Tournament] – The opening match of the night was to determine who would be getting the fourth seed in the tournament, moving on to face Okada. Roode was accompanied to the ring by his partner Austin Aries. The Tag Team Champions used the numbers game to hopefully intimidate Williams – who, along with Jon Ryan – would be challenging for the Tag Team Titles at Warfront. The man advantage did not seem to have much affect on Williams, as he was not shy about taking the fight to Roode. Late in the match, after going back and forth, it looked as is Williams had the match won as he set Roode up for a second Canadian Destroyer. However, Aries used a title belt to crack Williams in the back of head, allowing Roode to escape. In turn, Roode hit the Payoff for the 1-2-3! After the match, Aries and Roode continued to attack Williams until Jon Ryan ran down. The Dirty Heels turned their attention to Ryan, incapacitating him on the outside of the ring. Roode brought a steel chair into the ring, placing Williams’ knee and lower leg inside it. With HWL officials pleading for them to stop, Aries jumped off the second rope, onto the chair, snapping Williams’ shin. Williams screamed out in pain as Aries and Roode left the ring, celebrating their actions. Commercial Break Backstage, Alisha Hicks introduces Rhea Ripley and talks about her impressive debut last week, being the last woman eliminated in the Women’s battle royal last week. Ripley starts to talk, but it quickly interrupted as Daffney, Solo Darling and the new Women’s Champion, Mary Dobson appear. Daffney and Darling surround Ripley as Dobson tells Alisha that she should be interviewing is the woman who debuted last week… and won the Women’s Title. Dobson says it’s crazy that someone could just waltz right into PCW on their first night and walk away with a shiny piece of metal around her waist. But, then again, crazy is something Dobson does well. Dobson leans forward and tells Ripley that she tasted very sweet last week, like a ripe peach that’s ready to be picked. But, Dobson says, it was much sweeter to be named the new Women’s Champion. Dobson says she looks forward to meeting Ripley one-on-one on Saturday night. She wishes the rookie good luck before the trio walks away. 2). Bayley (1-6) vs. Solo Darling (0-1) (w/Daffney) – Solo Darling was making her singles debut tonight, a week after both women took part in the Women’s Title battle royal. Darling looked strong in this match, aided by the unpredictability of Daffney at ringside. Bayley, for all her well-documented struggles as of late, must be given a lot of respect for coming out and giving every match her absolute best. Bayley picked up countless near-falls in this match; but every time Darling found a way to kick out or get her foot on the ropes to stop the count. Towards the end of the match, Bayley’s energy level was dwindling, which caused her to fall victim to Daffney at ringside, who tripped Bayley. The distraction allowed Darling to hit a back suplex before putting Bayley in a move she calls the SharpStinger. Bayley would eventually tap out to end the match. Commercial Break 3). Bobby Roode (3-2) vs. Okada (1-0) [Heavyweight Title Tournament] – Okada made quite a splash at the start of the show, confronting The Esperanza, almost promising that they would meet on Saturday night at Warfront. But before he could do that, he had to get through Bobby Roode. Roode looked impressive in his match against Petey Williams earlier tonight, but he needed the extra help from Austin Aries to complete the job. Having wrestled once already, Roode was not at 100 percent for this match, and it was clear as Okada commanded things for the most part. An interference attempt by AUSTIN ARIES backfired, as he hit Roode with the Tag Team Title belt, allowing Okada to use a Bridging back suplex to pick up the victory. Commercial Break Returning from the break, Alfred Pressley is seen in the ring, as he introduces Wade Barrett to the ring. Barrett comes out and is asked about his chances in advancing in the Heavyweight Title tournament. Barrett says that, as of right now, he is the freshest person in the tournament. He congratulates Okada on his victory and says that Austin Aries has been running around trying to get his partner to advance, but that finally came to a stop. Barrett doesn’t know hot much energy Aries has left…
This brings out Aries, carrying his Tag Team Title around his waist. He gets into the ring and says that Barrett is lucky he hasn’t had the belt slammed into the back of his head yet. Aries says he doesn’t even need to use an object to beat Barrett, or to crush Barrett’s dream of becoming a dual champion at Warfront. Aries tells Pressley to leave the ring and demands a referee come down and start the match as the show goes to commercials… Commercial Break 4). Wade Barrett (4-3) vs. Austin Aries (4-2) [Heavyweight Title Tournament] – With the winner moving on to face Okada in the finals, there was a lot riding on this match for both men. Barrett had his sights on moving one step closer to potentially having two different title matches this Saturday night, where as Aries would have a chance to add a second title to the Tag Team Championships he and Bobby Roode currently hold. The larger Barrett took control early on, using his size and keep Aries away from using any aerial moves. The momentum of the match swung in Aries’ favor as BOBBY ROODE came down to the ring, which seemed to be a constant theme throughout the evening. Before Roode could inflict any damage from the outside, OKADA ran from the back and attacked Roode. The two men brawled up the aisleway and into the backstage area. The distraction led to Aries rolling up Barrett for a two-count. After a superkick sent Barrett to the canvas, Aries hit a flying elbow drop from the second rope. Grabbing a handful of trunks out of view from the referee, Aries recorded the pinfall to advance! Commercial Break Backstage, Bayley is seen packing up her gear and heading towards the arena exit when she is stopped by Nikki Bella. Bella runs down Bayley past failures and says that Bayley doesn’t need to bring anyone else down with her on the sinking ship that is her career. Nikki then blames Bayley for Nikki not winning the Women’s battle royal last week. Bayley interrupts Nikki and says that she keeps hearing about how bad she is, with people even calling for her to find a new profession. Bayley reminds Nikki that she is a former PCW Women’s Champion – something Nikki has not done. But, Bayley says is Nikki is so upset about losing the battle royal, then they can settle things at Warfront. Bayley says she doesn’t care anymore if she wins or loses; she just cares about making everyone else’s lives miserable inside the ring. Bayley then walks away as the scene fades… 5). Jey Uso & Tarkan Aslan (0-2) vs. Kenny King & Rhett Titus (2-1) – Kenny King and Rhett Titus have put together a small winning streak together since teaming back up. Tonight, they took on the team of Uso and Aslan, who are still looking for their first win since signing with the company. Although the newcomers looked very impressive in this match-up, even after Aslan hit the Alpha Driver on King, they were unable to put the match away. In the end, Titus connected with the Muff Driver for the 1-2-3. Commercial Break 6). Okada (2-0) vs. Austin Aries (5-2) [Heavyweight Title Tournament] – Finally, it would come down to this! After a night of using countless interferences and cheap tricks to advance, Austin Aries stepped into the ring for the final time with a chance to challenge for the Heavyweight Title on the line. Okada, after interjecting himself in Aries’ last night, keeping Bobby Roode from interesting, had the chance to get his hands on Aries. A good back and forth match between to different styles saw Aries connect with a 450 splash to win a clean match and be named the new number one contender! After the match, Aries celebrated inside the ring as The Esperanza appeared on-stage, holding the PCW Heavyweight Title in the air. The two men would stare each other down as the show went off the air. - Bobby Roode def. Petey Williams with the Payoff in 14:21.
- Solo Darling (w/Daffney) def. Bayley by submission in 12:14.
- Okada def. Bobby Roode with the Bridging German Suplex in 4:19.
- Austin Aries def. Wade Barrett with a flying elbowdrop in 10:00.
- Kenny King & Rhett Titus def. Jey Uso & Tarkan Aslan by pinfall in 10:23
- Austin Aries def. Okada with the 450 Splash in 9:37.

PCW: Warfront – July 13, 2013 – Citizens Bank Arena (Ontario, CA) Attendance: 7,430
As Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to the city of Ontario, just a short drive from the Bay Area in California, Commissioner Rex Butler made his way to the ring. Butler said that Tuesday night, he noticed a lot of interference taking place during the Heavyweight Tournament matches. Butler said that he intends on running a program that is based on integrity and fair competition. Therefore, Butler said that he is adding a stipulation to the Heavyweight Title Match tonight. If anyone interferes during the match, they will be suspended for 30 days. Butler thanked the crowd for their time before leaving the ring.
1). Bayley (1-7) vs. Nikki Bella (2-4) – This match was signed in the aftermath of the Women’s Title Battle Royal, when Bayley and Nikki were eliminated simultaneously. Bayley came out strong, looking to overcome the demons of her current losing streak. It seemed the fans were behind her, as they were firmly behind her from the beginning. Nikki fought back, hitting a springboard flying crossbody block for a two-count. They women traded advantages back and forth until Bayley reversed a Samoan Drop into a crucifix. Nikki barely kicked out before the referee’s three count. This caused Bayley to snap, as she got into the referee’s face, arguing the call. Unhappy with the ref’s decision, Bayley shoved him into the corner, continuing to yell. The referee called for the bell, DQ-ing Bayley. Nikki attacked Bayley after the match before leaving the ring and celebrating her victory.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow approached Jon Ryan with information regarding the Tag Team Title match later tonight. Barlow said that Commissioner Butler had announced, if Ryan is to keep the match as scheduled, he would need to find a partner to replace the recently injured Petey Williams. Ryan, in turn, said that he had work to do before walking away.
2). David Otunga (2-5) vs. Marco Corleone (1-4) – Otunga and Corleone have faced off in recent weeks, with Corleone picking up the victory. Tonight was Otunga’s chance to avenge that loss and even things up between the two. This match went back and forth, with both men trying to overpower the other. However, neither one could gain enough momentum to put the match away, and at the 15-minute mark, the referee called for the bell, ending the match in a draw.
3). Rhea Ripley (0-1) vs. © Mary Dobson (w/Daffney) (1-0) [Women’s Title Match] – Ripley and Dobson were the final two participants remaining in the Women’s Title battle royal, with Dobson tossing Ripley over the top rope to win the vacated title and claim the mantle as new champion. Tonight, Ripley jumped to an early advantage right after the bell, rocking Dobson with a superkick. Dobson was able to get Ripley out on the floor, where Ripley would stare down Daffney, allowing Dobson to gain the advantage. Back in the ring, Dobson would pick up a series of close falls, but Ripley was able to fight back. Ripley would lock in an Inverted Cloverleaf. Dobson reached the ropes breaking the hold, but the damage had been done. The end of the match would see Ripley hit the Riptide for the 1-2-3 and be named NEW Women’s Champion!
After the match, Brooke Barlow is seen backstage with Commissioner Rex Butler. Butler announces that, due to there being a five-way tie in the standings, a five-man battle royal will take place tonight. The winner will receive a Television Title match on the 7/23 episode of PCW Wrestling.
4). Jon Ryan & Kazarian (NR) vs. © Austin Aries & Bobby Roode (7-2) [PCW Tag Team Title Match] – Petey Williams was scheduled to join his partner for this Tag Team Title match tonight, but was viciously attacked by The Dirty Heels this past Tuesday after his match with Roode in the Heavyweight Title Tournament. Ryan was forced to find a new partner in order to keep his shot at the titles, and Kazarian answered the call. Since they had never worked together, Kazarian and Ryan had some miscues that set them back in this match. After a top-rope DDT from Aries, things went downhill for the challengers, as Aries hit a 450 Splash on Kazarian for the victory and another successful title defense.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow interviews Heavyweight Champion The Esperanza about his title defense against Austin Aries later tonight. The champion congratulates Aries on retaining the Tag Team Titles, but says that his dreams of becoming a dual champion are just that: dreams. He says that no one will be able to help Aries in this match, just as no one would be coming to Esperanza’s side either. He says that tonight Aries will need to prove that his tournament win was real and not just a result of continued interference from Bobby Roode.
5). Rhett Titus (2-4) / Shinya Ishikawa (1-2) / Drew McIntyre (2-4) / Suicide (3-6) / Cody Rhodes (1-2) [#1 Contender Battle Royal] – As all five men were introduced, it was repeated that the winner of this match would get a Television Title Match against either Wade Barrett or Justin Gabriel on the 7/23 episode of PCW Wrestling. Once the bell rang, Rhett Titus went after Cody Rhodes. Rhodes sidestepped Rhett and hit a DDT before tossing him over the ropes. Titus tried hanging onto the top rope, but Rhodes kicked at his hands, dropping Titus to the ground for the FIRST ELIMINATION. Rhodes and Suicide would then trade blows, with each man trying unsuccessfully to eliminate the other, until Drew McIntyre attacked Suicide from behind.
There is no love lost between McIntyre and Suicide, as both men were itching to get back into the ring with Gabriel with the TV Title on the line. Whether either man would face the current champion after tonight remained to be seen. Over the next several minutes, Suicide would find himself fighting off McIntyre, Ishikawa and Rhodes, trying to stay alive in this match. However, it would be Ishikawa who took advantage of this after hitting Suicide with a headbutt. Wobbly, both men fought for position before Ishikawa dumped Suicide to the outside for the SECOND ELIMINATION.
Ishikawa was hoping to pick up a shot at his first singles tonight with a win tonight, but being in the ring with two former champions put him at distinct disadvantage. Ishikawa held his own against McIntyre and Rhodes but he could only do so much with two men trying to eliminate him. In a nice little set of moves that got the crowd fired up, Rhodes whipped Ishikawa into the ropes, only to drop to the mat. As Ishikawa jumped over Rhodes, McIntyre greeted him with a backdrop that sent Ishikawa crashing to the concrete floor for the THIRD ELIMINATION.
Down to the final two, McIntyre and Rhodes settled in for a one-on-one match. They traded offense until Rhodes ducked a clothesline and hit McIntyre with the Cross Rhodes. In a slight moment of confusion, Rhodes tried pinning McIntyre but there was no referee to count! Rhodes when back on offence, trying to throw McIntyre over the top rope, but was fought off. Drew whipped Rhodes into the ropes and connected with The Claymore before tossing Rhodes over the top rope for the FINAL ELIMINATION!
6). Wade Barrett (4-3) vs. © Justin Gabriel (8-0-1) [Television Title Match] – Barrett had his chance to challenge for the TV Title tonight and jumped Gabriel right as the bell rang. Barrett tried to ground Gabriel with a boot choke. Gabriel was able to fight back, getting some breathing room after tossing Barrett through the ropes. Back inside the ring, Gabriel went with an usual tactic, turning this into a technical match, using a number of submission moves to wear down Barrett. Barrett shoved Gabriel into the corner, but ran shoulder-first into the ring post as Gabriel moved out of the way. After a body slam, Gabriel connected with a 450 Splash for the victory.
A video announcing the next PCW pay-per-view, HEATWAVE, is shown. Heatwave will take place on August 10th, live from Independence, Missouri.
7). Austin Aries (6-2) vs. © The Esperanza (5-3) [Heavyweight Title Match] – Commission Butler started off the show by warning everyone on the roster that, if anyone interfered in this match, they would be suspended. It would seem that everyone took that warning seriously, as these two men were able to go at each other without concerns of outside interference. The champion had been waiting to see who would emerge as his challenger after the tournament on Tuesday night. Aries came out victorious, thanks to some help from Bobby Roode. Tonight, Aries could have used that assist after missing three attempts at the 450 Splash. The Esperanza routinely tried to get Aries to submit, but Aries would not tap out. The end of the match saw The Esperanza attempting a superplex, but Aries fought him off, sending the champion crashing down to the canvas. The fourth attempt at the 450 Splash would prove to be effective as Aries connected for the 1-2-3.

PCW Wrestling #154 – July 16, 2013 – Selland Arena (Fresno, CA) Attendance: 5,469 The show opens with a shot inside of the area, where the ring is festively decorated. Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome the at-home audience to the latest edition of PCW Wrestling live from Fresno, where a “Championship Celebration” is schedule to take place for Austin Aries and Bobby Roode.
The Dirty Heels’ music played as the crowd rained down boos. Smiling and waving to the crowd, Aries and Roode made their way down the ramp, entering the ring, and grabbing microphones. Roode spoke first, saying that there should be no doubt who the best tag team in PCW is after last night. He said that, time and time again, he and Ares have proven that they can – and will – defeat anyone with the Tag Team Titles on the line. Bur, Roode said he wasn’t there to gloat about their tag team success. Tonight’s celebration was all about the NEW PCW Heavyweight Champion, Austin Aries! Aries then got on the microphone and said that last week was a whirlwind; but he weathered the storm, survived the war, and walked out of Ontario as the new champion. He thanks Roode for the celebration, and the crowd for attending, but said as a double champion, there was a lot of work that needed to be done. Aries acknowledged that he would have twice as many people coming for him, and that no one – not even Roode – would know what that was like.
Before Aries could continue, Commissioner Rex Butler appeared on-stage. He said that the decorations looked great, and he apologized for interrupting the celebration, but there was a bit of business that needed attention. Butler reminded Aries that there was a policy about double-champions, and that he would need to choose which title belt he wanted to keep and retain while vacating the other. Butler said that it was a big decision and agreed to let Aries continue to celebrate his win last night, saying that he would need a definite answer by the end of the show. Butler left the stage as Aries and Roode look at each other confused. Commercial Break 1). James Storm (0-3-1) vs. Abyss (NR) – James Storm had been having a hard time getting a victory in recent weeks, including his and Wade Barrett’s attempt to challenge for the Tag Team Titles. Heading into this match, his opponent had been undisclosed; and the crowd went crazy as former HWL Heavyweight Champion Abyss was announced. Storm was clearly unprepared to take on a man of Abyss’s stature and tried to get away with whatever he could to gain an advantage. After a number of near-falls, Storm was visibly irate and shoved the referee to the concrete floor at ringside! With no one to keep things in line, Storm and Abyss resorted to trading punches in the center of the ring. When the referee returned to his feet, he quickly called for the bell, DQ-ing Storm. Storm got into the face of the referee, yelling, before the referee pushed him back. As Storm turned to leave the ring, Abyss caught him in a Black Hole Slam! Abyss stood over Storm’s body as the show went to commercials. • Abyss defeated James Storm by DQ in 13:56 (2.75) Commercial Break Backstage, Brooke Barlow was seen with new Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley. Brooke asked how it felt to earn a championship title in just her second match in PCW. Ripley said that she was just as shocked as anyone else. She gave credit to Mary Dobson, who was not an easy opponent by any stretch. Ripley said she prevailed and will try to do right by the Women’s Title and the past champions. Ripley is then interrupted by Melina, who wanted to congratulate the new champion in person. She told Ripley she’s not here to cause trouble, but as of Saturday night, she is the new number-one contender for the Women’s Title. Melina said that she looked forward to stepping into the ring with Ripley at Heatwave before walking away. 2). Brie Bella (2-3) vs. Mena Libra (NR) – Mena Libra made her debut tonight, after nearly a year away from the ring. Libra was a mainstay in the SHIMMER promotion before taking some time off, returning with a strong showing against Brie in her first match with the company. Brie wasn’t sure what she could do to get the better of her bigger opponent, as Mena overpowered Brie for a good portion of this match. Mena would eventually pick up the win after a move she called the Ambassador’s Bridge. • Mena Libra defeated Brie Bella with the Ambassador’s Bridge in 6:46. (1.25) Commercial Break 3). Jey Uso & Tarkan Aslan (0-3) vs. Davey Boy Smith, Jr. & Tyson Kidd (NR) – Jey Uso and Tarkan Aslan have not had a lot of luck since debuting with the company, and a win for them tonight would be huge in terms of moving up the rankings. They were slated to take on the former HWL Tag Team Champions, The Hart Dynasty, but Davey Boy Smith, Jr. was unable to make it to the arena due to travel issues. Marco Corleone took Smith’s place, and it was obvious that he and Kidd were not on the same page from the start. This lack of cohesiveness allowed Uso and Aslan to take control of the match, with Uso ending the match after hitting a Superfly Splash on Corleone for the win. • Jey Uso & Tarkan Aslan defeated Marco Corleone & Tyson Kidd by pinfall in 4:29. (1.00) Commercial Break Alfred Pressley was seen standing in the ring as the show returned. He introduced Drew McIntyre to the ring and said that McIntyre would once again get a shot at the Television Title next week. McIntyre said that Saturday night’s number-one contender’s match was indeed a war. A war that was won by a warrior that had his sights set on the prize that awaited the victor. But what McIntyre had to say, he wanted to say to Justin Gabriel’s face. He then called Gabriel to join them inside the ring.
After a few moments, Gabriel made his way out to the ring with the TV Title over his shoulder. Without a microphone, Gabriel insisted on hearing what McIntyre had to say. McIntyre grabbed the microphone from Pressley’s hand and stood within in inches of Gabriel’s face. He told Gabriel that he would always use his loss at “Malicious Intent” as the fuel needed to take the TV Title away from Gabriel. Next Tuesday night will be his next opportunity to do so, and McIntyre would not be satisfied with anything less than walking out of this ring with the title in his hands. McIntyre took a step back and turned around before quickly turning back and hitting Gabriel with the microphone! McIntyre left the ring and walked up the aisle as the show went to commercials. Commercial Break 4). Shinya Ishikawa (1-3) vs. Cody Rhodes (1-3) – These two men were part of the final three in Saturday night’s five-man number one contender battle royal. Rhodes was able to outlast Ishikawa, turning things into a one-on-one match with Drew McIntyre that Rhodes eventually lost. Tonight, these they met again with the winner hoping to better his position in the Television Title rankings. Rhodes would pick up the win tonight after hitting the Cross Rhodes. • Cody Rhodes pinned Shinya Ishikawa with the Cross Rhodes in 10:29. (2.75) Commercial Break Returning from the break, an advertisement is shown for next week’s episode, which will be highlighted by a Television Title Match as champion Justin Gabriel defends against Drew McIntyre. 5). Marco Corleone (2-4) vs. Suicide (3-7) – Both men came into tonight looking to erase the results of their matches at Warfront. Corleone stood tall over Suicide, and had a distinct strength advantage, 3.5 that did not stop Suicide from going to the air and taking Corleone off his feet. Suicide stunned Corleone with a clothesline before rolling up the big man and using the ropes for leverage for the 1-2-3. • Suicide pinned Marco Corleone with a clothesline in 3:09. (1.00) Coming back from the break, it is announced that, due to the controversial end to their match at Warfront, Bayley will face Nikki Bella in a rematch next week!6). Wade Barrett (4-4) vs. Bobby Roode (3-3) – There was a big decision hanging over this match, even if it did not concern either of the participants. Bobby Roode was taking part in this match-up, having to wonder what his partner – and new Heavyweight Champion – Austin Aries’ decision would be concerning both titles at the end of the show. Barrett, coming off a loss at Warfront against Justin Gabriel, was looking to get back on track with a victory over one-half of the Tag Team Champions. But, it was not Barrett’s night, despite a great effort in this match, as Roode was able to connect with The Payoff and secure a victory before the time limit expired. • Bobby Roode pinned Wade Barrett with the The Payoff in 14:56. (3.50) After the match, Austin Aries walks down to the ring with the Tag Team and Heavyweight Titles draped over each of his shoulders. Aries walks around to the commentary table and places the Heavyweight Title down in front of the Daniels and Michaels. He walks over and grabs Roode’s Tag title before entering the ring. Aries hands Roode his title and then extends his hand. Unsure of what is happening, Roode shakes Aries’ hand. Afterwards, Aries puts his Tag title on the canvas and leaves the ring. He walks up the ramp, without looking back at the ring, and walks backstage. Roode is left standing in the ring as the show goes off the air. Card rating: 2.25

PCW Wrestling #155 - Times Union Center – Albany, New York Attendance: 5,026 **Alfred Pressley is seen standing in the center of the ring as the show comes on the air. He welcomes everyone to the show and introduces Commission Rex Butler as his guest. Butler makes his way to the ring, wearing a suit. Joining Pressley in the ring, Butler says that he has asked for this time at the opening of the show to make an announcement concerning the Heatwave pay-per-view. Butler say that, due to Austin Aries’ departure from the company, there are going to be some changes to both the Heavyweight and Tag Team Title matches. Butler says that the The All-Night Express will face Shinya Ishikawa and David Otunga for the vacant Tag Team Titles; and the NJPW Heavyweight Champion, Okada, will face Aries’ former partner Bobby Roode for the HWL Heavyweight Title. Butler thanks the crowd for their time before leaving the ring, as the show goes to commercials.Commercial Break 1). John Ryan (0-1-1) vs. Kenny King (0-1-1) – Just moments before finding out that he would be wrestling for the vacated Tag Team Titles at Heatwave, Kenny King stepped into the ring with Jon Ryan, as both men were looking to pick up their first singles victory of the season. A victory would give King momentum heading into the title match in a couple weeks, but Ryan seemed to have other plans. After doing battle for over 10 minutes, Ryan hit the Ryanoku Driver for the victory. Commercial Break **Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Mena Libra, who debuted last week with a victory. Brooke congratulated Mena on the victory and asks what must be going through her picking up such an impressive win. Mena says that it was an honor to step into the ring with a former champion last week, but she knew she was capable of pulling off what many people called an upset. Mena says that it’s a great opportunity to be a member of the PCW roster; and it’s not something that she’s going to take for granted.2). Bayley (1-8) vs. Nikki Bella (3-4) – At Warfront, these two women squared off in a match that looked to be an end to their ongoing rivalry. But the end result was not what Nikki Bella wanted, as she won the match due to Bayley getting disqualified for shoving the referee. Tonight, the rematch took place, with both women looking to get a clear victory as a final nail in the coffin. Bayley looked quite strong in this second bout, getting a number of near-falls, but never being able to put Nikki away. Bella fought through a number of submission moves, and took a lot of offense from Bayley, but was not willing to give up in her second attempt to get a decisive victory. The end came when Nikki reversed a top-rop huracarana into a power bomb. She then hit the Bella Buster for the victory. Commercial Break 3). Rhett Titus (2-5) vs. Marco Corleone (2-5) — Earlier tonight Kenny King was unsuccessful in his attempt to pick up a victory. Rhett Titus, his partner in the All-Night Express, had his chance to redeem the loss, but he ran into the “brick wall” that is Marco Corleone. Corleone used his strength advantage to take control of the match early on. Titus was able to fight back with what little energy he had left, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide of the match. Corleone picked up the win after a short lariat that spun Titus inside out before getting the three count. Commercial Break **“Flight of the Bumblebee” begins to play as Daniel Bryan appears on-stage. Bryan gets a good reception from the crowd, walking down the ramp and entering the ring. Bryan stands on the turnbuckles and soaks in the applause before grabbing a microphone. Bryan says that he’s been gone for way too long, but the doctors have officially cleared him to return to competition. Now that he can step back into the ring, he has his sights set on one thing – the Television Title. Bryan issues a challenge, to whoever is champion after Heatwave, saying he is next in line and there is still a lot left for him to prove.Commercial Break 4). James Storm & Wade Barrett (1-3) vs. David Otunga & Shinya Ishikawa (2-3) – Otunga and Ishikawa were finally back together as a team, squaring off against a team that they know all too well in Storm and Barrett. This match went well over the allotted time limit, but the referee let these four men settle their differences and ensure there was a winner. There was some controversy coming out of this match as both Otunga and Ishikawa routinely argued with the referee about slow counts. In the end, despite their complaints, Otunga and Ishikawa picked up the victory after Otunga hit The Verdict on Barrett. Commercial Break **The show returns with Brooke Barlow standing backstage with Television Champion Justin Gabriel. Barlow asks for Gabriel’s thoughts on the return of Daniel Bryan and the challenge issued by Bryan for Heatwave. Gabriel starts off by saying that he has to focus on what is right in front of him – Drew McIntyre. Gabriel says that last week McIntyre proved how much of a coward he is by attacking Gabriel with a microphone. He says that McIntyre is wrong if he thinks that he can intimidate him in the hopes of winning the Television Title tonight. Gabriel says that McIntyre has been wrong on a number of occasions in the past, and after tonight he could put McIntyre in the rear view mirror and start focusing on what’s ahead. And what’s ahead, Gabriel says, would be another title defense against his old rival Bryan and Heatwave. He says, for now, that’s something for the future and can be dealt with at a different time. Right now, Gabriel says, he has a title to defend…5). Drew McIntyre (3-4) vs. © Justin Gabriel (9-0-1) [PCW Television Title Match] – Gabriel had some very strong words for his challenger before their match tonight, and the anticipation was at an all-time high for this rematch to take place in Albany tonight. However, much to the chagrin of the crowd, the match ended much faster than expected, and with less dramatics. As Gabriel was recovering outside the ring, McIntyre jumped off the apron and was met with a boot to the midsection. Gabriel then whipped McIntyre shoulder-first into the ring steps before entering the ring. McIntyre sat on the concrete, holding his shoulder in pain, unable to beat the referee’s 10-count and was counted out. Commercial Break 5). Okada (2-1) vs. Abyss (1-0) – “The Monster” Abyss debuted in PCW last week, picking up a victory due to James Storm getting DQ’d after attacking the referee. After the match, Abyss sent a message to Storm and the rest of the PCW that he meant business. The former HWL Heavyweight Champion had an opportunity to send a bigger message to the wrestling world as he stepped into the ring with the reigning NJPW Heavyweight Champion – and the man who will take part in the PCW Heavyweight Title match at Heatwave, Okada. Okada was able to withstand an onslaught from “The Monster”, fighting back with a number of stiff attacks of his own, until Abyss seemed to start tiring out. Okada, taking advantage of this hit a flying cross body press from the second rope to pick up the victory. Card rating: 3.25

PCW Wrestling #156 – 07/30/13 – Liacouras Center (Temple University), Philadelphia, PA Attendance: 4,400
A highlight package is shown to start the program, highlighting spots from the Okada/Abyss contest from last week. As the package ends, Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome the at-home audience to the campus of Temple University in Philadelphia.
PCW Commissioner Rex Butler makes his way to the ring, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. Standing in the center of the ring, Butler says again that it is an honor that New Japan Pro Wrestling has been willing to send over their champion to do promotional work for their company as well as allowing the PCW the ability to showcase Okada’s talent on a weekly basis. Butler repeats that Okada will face Bobby Roode for the vacated PCW Heavyweight Championship at Heatwave and adds that Okada will be in tonight’s main event: a non-title match with the Television Champion, Justin Gabriel. Butler thanks the crowd and leaves the ring, this time with a more favorable response. On his way up the ramp, Butler passes Tarkan Aslan as he comes to the ring for the night’s opening match.
1). Tarkan Aslan vs. Davey Boy Smith, Jr – After entering the ring, instead of preparing for his opponent, he was seen flirting with a female member of the audience sitting by the barrier. Throughout the match, whenever Aslan would execute an impressive move, he would make more advances to the woman in the crowd. This would eventually lead to his downfall as Smith, who was nearly 100 pounds heavier, would use his size advantage to take over the match. Smith Jr. would dominate the final moments of the match before hitting a Saito Suplex for the victory.
Davey Boy Smith, Jr. defeated Tarkan Aslan with the Saito Suplex in 8:08. (2.25*)
Commercial Break
Brooke Barlow is seen backstage with the number one contender for the Women’s Title, Melina as the show returns from commercials. Brooke asks what Melina is feeling with just over a week before her title match at Heatwave against Rhea Ripley. Melina says that there’s no denying the effect that Ripley’s debut has had on the Women’s Division. She also says that having the other women that have come in recently is only going to make the division stronger, and at Heatwave, Melina will have a chance to lead it in the only way she can.
Daffney, Mary Dobson, and Solo Darling interrupt the remained of the interview, causing Brooke to run off. Dobson, the former Women’s Champion, tells Melina that she wasn’t champion for very long, and that’s something that doesn’t sit well with her. She says Ripley as a target on her back and Melina has the first shot, but Dobson will get another chance soon. She tells Melina that, if she wants to experience what it’s like to step into the ring with a champion, then she can face Dobson next week. Melina looks at all three of the women surrounding her and agrees to the match before pushing her way through and walking off-screen.
2). Mena Libra vs. Brie Bella – These two women squared off two weeks ago in Mena Libra’s debut match with the company. In that contest, Libra picked up a surprising victory over one-half of the Bella Twins. However, in this rematch, Brie proved that she with time to prepare for an opponent, she was hard to beat. Bella made quick work of Libra, but not without some questions, as she looked to have a handful of Libra’s tights after hitting a monkey flip. The referee, none the wiser, counted the pinfall.
Brie Bella defeated Mena Libra with a monkey flip in 3:56. (-0.75*)
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is once again seen, this time with the NJPW Heavyweight Champion, Okada. Brooke asks about his up-coming match with Television Champion Justin Gabriel in tonight’s main event. Okada says that he is a man of accomplishment, motioning to the title draped over his shoulder, and says that he recognizes the same in Gabriel. Okada says Gabriel has shown great skill and ability as a champion, and tonight should be a great match of two men at the top of their craft. He promises that the best man will win.
In the locker room, Kenny King and Rhett Titus are seen talking, as the camera approaches. King is heard telling Titus that, even with all their troubles in the past, it was meant that they got back together and worked as a team. He says they have a Tag Team Title match at Heatwave; something that would not be possible if they were still fighting their personal battles with each other. Titus nods his head and agrees that it’s a great opportunity. King slaps his partner’s shoulders and walks away, smiling.
A promotional advertisement is shown for the UNBREAKABLE pay-per-view, with “This Means War” by Avenged Sevenfold playing in the background. The confirmed matches are shown before it is announced that the event will take place, LIVE, from Kansas City, Missouri on August 11th!

3). Wade Barrett vs. Jey Uso -- These two men were both coming off tag team victories over the past couple weeks, with the chance to show their skills in singles competition. This match saw a good mix of action between the brawler Barrett and the high-flyer Uso, but Barrett looked to have taken the advantage after apparently hyper-extending Uso’s arm in a submission attempt. Uso was able to break the hold after getting his foot on the bottom rope, but for the rest of the match, was limited. That didn’t seem to stop Uso, who resorted to using his feet and array of aerial moves to get the better of Barrett. With his good arm, Uso hit an elbow drop from the second rope, and used his injured arm to hook the leg for the victory.
After the match, Uso was making his way up the aisle, holding his injured arm, when Barrett attacked him from behind! Barrett focused on Uso’s arm, wrapping it around the steel barricade and kicking it. Barrett walked away, leaving Uso writing in pain…
Jey Uso defeated Wade Barrett after an elbow drop in 8:06. (2.00*) Jey Uso suffered an elbow injury and will miss two (2) weeks of action.
Backstage, Brooke Barlow is seen with Television Champion Justin Gabriel. She mentions the comments made by Okada earlier in the evening and asks for a response. Gabriel says that there’s no denying Okada’s popularity in the world of professional wrestling; and to have him praise Gabriel, it’s a great feeling. Since Day One, Gabriel says he’s gone out and tried to be the best the business has to offer. Tonight, he’ll get to put those skills to the test against one the better wrestlers in the world.
Brooke then asks Gabriel about the challenge issued by Daniel Bryan and the acceptance of that challenge by Commissioner Butler for the Heatwave pay-per-view. Gabriel says that Bryan is one of the hardest-working men in the business and was one hell of a Television Champion during the early days of PCW. But it’s Gabriel’s time now and it’s going to take a lot to snatch the title away from him.

4). Okada vs. © Justin Gabriel (Non-Title Match) – The main event was all set, and the crowd was looking for an amazing match between two champions at the top of their games. Okada came out strong in the beginning, using the “strong style” in the hopes of wearing down Gabriel. It was effective, but Gabriel was able to make some well-timed counters and use his speed and aerial ability to gain the advantage. After breaking up a brawl in the corner, the referee pushed Gabriel away, but did not see as Bobby Roode ran down to ringside, pulling Okada out of the ring. Unaware of the attack Okada could do nothing to stop Roode from hitting the Payoff onto the concrete floor! Gabriel watched on as the referee counted Okada out, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd.
After the match, Gabriel was handed his title and started to make his way up the aisle, when Drew McIntyre appeared from backstage and connected with the Claymore! McIntyre stood over Gabriel, with the crowd booing, as the show went off the air.
Justin Gabriel defeated Okada by count out in 8:52. (2.50*)

The German “player” was hoping that having his tag partner at ringside would give him the encouragement needed to take him over the hump. But, during the match, as Aslan was climbing to the top turnbuckle, WADE BARRETT came to ringside, shoving Jey Uso into the ring post! However, it was announced before the match that Shinya Ishikawa was unable to attend the event due to travel restrictions that arose. In Ishikawa’s place, SIN CARA, a recent signing from the WWE made his debut, teaming with Otunga. Daniel Bryan vs. Drew McIntyre – Drew McIntyre had a lot at stake in this match, as he looked to earn his place in the Television Title Match at Heatwave, continuing his feud with Gabriel who sat at ringside. McIntyre certainly had the size and strength advantage over Bryan, but the former TV Champion had proven in the past that he was capable of ruining plans. After taking some punishment early on, Bryan escaped to the outside, looking to catch his breath.
