Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Handi-Cap Match Chrome defeated Squeegee Kid & Zakk Wylde by pinfall when Chrome pinned Wylde after a chokeslam at 4:29 **typical big man vs two small men handicap bout.
Bout #2 Chris Lydon defeated Becky Swallows by pinfall after s slingshot suplex at 6:03 **pecking order bout.
Bout #3 Balls Mahoney defeated Tiger Khan (/w Lord Zoltan) after a Ball Breaker (sitout spinebuster) at 7:31 **solid win for Mahoney who has had his share of losses lately.
Bout #4 Six-Man Tag Match Donnie DiCaprio, Will Damon & Chris Parys defeated Shane Madison, Adam Knight & Darren Dalton by pinfall when Damon pinned Dalton after a tornado DDT at 8:22 **Quite frankly Knight and Dalton were not up to the task. A post match beatdown of Madison by the Players Club finished a bad day for "The Mecca" Shane Madison. Oh yeah, and DiCaprio and Damon rolled out a new nickname for Parys, "Class Act" Chris Parys.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Bout #5 El Dandy & Silver King defeated Dick Raines & Richard Pound by pinfall when Silver King pinned Pound after a Silver Driver at 8:43 **Premiere of two of Mexico's finest and they put on an exhibition, totally dominating their opponents.
Bout #6 Vincent Regliatti & Scotty Anton defeated Greg Pawluk & Spike Dudley (/w Vic Gate) by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 6:59 **lots of bad blood between all 5 men. The heels went right after the back of Pawluk and the knee of Dudely, their recent injuries. Finally Pawluk had enough and retrieved a steel chair. Despite Gate's pleading for him not to, Pawluk nailed both opponents leaving them laid out.
Promo: Greg Gagne has more updates for the 21st Anniversary Spectacular on December 9th **The Road Warriors have announced that their long time manager Paul Ellering will be on hand and in their corner for their bout against the Spinebusters. **After what has transpired in the women's division as of late, Stacey Lynn will defend her North American Women's Title in a Guitar on a Pole match where her opponent Jessica Judd's guitar can be retrieved and used. All others are banned from ringside under threat of fines and suspensions. **The Mexican superstars we saw earlier, El Dandy & Silver King will take on former NWA World Tag Champions Team Extreme: Kit Carson & Khris Germany **The two best RCW tag teams of the 1990's return to RCW to face each other: The Demolition Crew (Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom) are coming out of retirement to take on The Extremists (Ace Darling & Devon Storm).
Televised Main Event RCW Tag Team Title Match Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers defeated Native Sons: Wavell Starr & Edde Mustang (/w Gene Swan) by pinfall when Caruthers pinned Mustang after a spinebuster slam at 10:02 [Spinebusters retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **Starr came down to the ring wearing a traditional Native headdress and the challengers had Swan come out as their manager. Nothing really changed as the challengers still wrestled as the faces and were still overmatched by the champs. Swan meant to try and turn the tide by tripping up Caruthers, but the Spinebuster reversed a whip to the ropes and Swan ended up tripping up Mustang instead. Caruthers took advantage with a pair of knees to the back of the neck, and then nailed his finisher.
Post-Match: An upset Mustang got into a pushing match with Swan. Starr got in the way, and Mustang ended up nailing Starr in the head, and then went after Swan, as we
FADE TO BLACK
The event also featured another dark match after the TV show went off the air.
Dark Match Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday defeated Stan Baker by countout at 15:32 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **This one had more of a house match feel than a televised event vibe. In the end the champ again proved to be the better man.

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Silver King defeated William Butler Yeats by pinfall after a Silver Kick at 5:17 **one sided bout.
Bout #2 El Dandy defeated Tiger Khan (/w Lord Zoltan) by pinfall after a Somersault splash at 6:04 **Khan ventured better than Yeats did in the opener, but Dandy and Silver King look like world class wrestlers.
Bout #3 Shane Madison and Chris Parys battled to a no-contest at 6:36 **nothing settled in this one as Madison wants revenge for the betrayal of Parys. Perhaps having a title shot later tonight kept the other PC members Damon and DiCaprio from interfering on behalf of Parys.
Bout #4 Eddie Mustang defeated Wavell Starr (/w Gene Swan) by pinfall after a springboard bulldog at 7:25 **Mustang came in the heel wanting a piece of Starr and the interloper Swan, but was as surprised as anyone when Swan turned on Starr tripping him up, letting Mustang hit his finisher. After the bout there was some confusion between all three on how they stood.
Bout #5 Chrome defeated Balls Mahoney by pinfall after a chokeslam at 5:59 **Could have gone either way. Mahoney controlled a lot of the bout cutting the big man down to size. But Chrome reversed a suplex attempt, nailed a release powerbomb, followed by a legdrop, and then a chokeslam to pick up the win.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Bout #6 RCW Television Title Match Stan Baker defeated Adam Knight by pinfall after a heart punch at 4:50 [Stan Baker retained the RCW Television Title Match] **No one is really sure what Knight did to deserve a title shot, but at this point the match makers are just trying to preserve the matches for the Anniversary show.
Bout #7 RCW Tag Team Title Match Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers defeated Players Club: Will Damon & Donnie DiCaprio by pinfall when Caruthers pinned Damon after a spiked piledriver at 8:16 [Spinebusters retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **two heel teams, and the fans really couldn't pick one to cheer for so instead they cheered every time someone took damage. The end came when Class Act Chris Parys came down to help his team, but then Shane Madison came down to attack him. The distraction worked to the champs favour who eliminated DiCaprio from the ring and then double teamed Damon for the victory.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday defeated Scotty Anton by pinfall after a diving clothesline at 7:57 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **This match went back and forth, and after some technical exchanges Anton decided to try and turn it into a brawl. Holiday was happy to accommodate and the match went outside. Holiday threw Anton over the guardrail into the crowd and then went back to the ring. Before getting back into the ring Anton pulled out brass knux. He hid them behind his back as he tried to get back into the ring but was bumped off to the floor below. He went to try a second time when Greg Pawluk hobbled to the ring, got up on the apron and wrestled the knux from the challenger. Distracted it was easy for Holiday to pull Anton over the top rope and into the ring. He nailed a vertical suplex, then climbed to the top rope and dived off when Anton was staggering to his feet, and nailed a clothesline for the pin.
Promo: Commissioner Greg Gagne comes to the ring with about 5 minutes left to update us on the 21st Anniversary Show. Next week there will be no title shots, so all the title matches on the show are set. In addition to the matches already set the following have been added; **A new hot shot from Texas, a former collegiate wrestler and football player, "Total Destruction" Steve Riley makes his RCW premiere. His opponent will be Balls Mahoney. **A losers leave RCW Tag Team match. Both members of the losing team will have to leave RCW. Scotty Anton & Vincent Regliatti vs Spike Dudley & Greg Pawluk (/w Vic Gate) **the two biggest men in RCW will face off one-on-one; Cyborg vs Kurrgan

River City Wrestling #860 December 9, 2000 21st Anniversary Spectacular Winnipeg Convention Centre Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Announcers: Joe Aiello (Play-by-Play), Linley Tolbert (Colour Commentary)
Opening Bout 15-minute Time Limit - Referee Buddy Lane "Mecca" Shane Madison (6'0 224 lbs. Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) vs "Class Act" Chris Parys (5'11 202 lbs. Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) **Two local boys face off to start the biggest show of the year. These two have had quite a feud. Parys started as the face taking on the Players Club of which Madison was a member. Madison grew frustrated with the PC's short cuts costing him opportunities and he turned his back on the PC to help out Parys. However, jealousy and ambition took only a couple weeks to rear its ugly head and Parys, unable to make an impact on his own, turned on Madison and joined Will Damon and Donnie DiCaprio in the PC (effectively taking Madison's spot). It was announced that no one was to interfere in this match or they would be fined and suspended, so we should have a good one on one bout here. The two met in the middle of the ring before the bell could sound and exchanged fisticuffs. The match spilled outside the ring where Parys grabbed control after slamming Madison back first into the announce table and then bodyslamming him on top of the table. Parys then powerbombed Madison banging his back onto the ring apron. Parys entered the ring and then nailed Madison a couple times not allowing him back in. Finally Madison was able to grab Parys and pull him through the ropes. Madison then leapt from the apron with a twisting moonsault onto Parys. Back inside Madison returned the favour going after Parys' back, with a belly to back suplex, and then a second one banging his back off the top buckle. Madison kept on the back with stomps, corner shoulder blocks into the back, and then a camel clutch that Parys finally stopped with a rope break. Madison went ballistic on the back of Parys, and had to be pulled off by Lane. This distraction allowed Parys to nail a mule kick to turn the tide. A quick Tornado DDT got a 2 count. A whip to the buckle was reversed by Madison who charged into the corner only to have Parys vault over top. Parys went for a belly to back, but ate an elbow, and then we had a series of switches and counters, that ended with Parys kneeing Madison in the "lower" abdomen. With Madison understandably lowering his hands to his midsection, it allowed Parys to go back to working over the back with stomps, then a standing surfboard. He went for a Boston crab but was kicked off by Madison who then clotheslined Parys over the top rope, and then came off the far ropes running with a springboard plancha. Not interfering with the match did not seem to preclude having Will Damon and Donnie DiCaprio come into the crowd and apparently start to assault a random fan. This of course distracted Madison and allowed Parys to assault him from behind banging his head off the steel barrier, busting him open. Parys then crotch dropped Madison on the barrier, then nailed him with a superkick. Parys dragged Madison into the ring, went to the top rope and came off with the Parysault...but Madison put his knees up. The two got up, did a back to back switch sequence. Madison did a backslide for a 2 count, ducked under a clothesline, came off the far ropes with a flying fist, for a 2 count. Madison set up Parys in the standing head scissors, but when he tried to pull him up Parys countered with a back body, only to have Madison counter with an inverted DDT, pin 1, 2, 3!! [Shane Madison defeated Chris Parys by pinfall after an inverted DDT at 10:51]
Post-Match: The Players Club hit the ring, but Madison had already slid out of the ring, and then returned with a chair. He nailed Will Damon over the head and all three members of the PC decided to take off.
Bout #2 20 Minute Time Limit - Referee Shiela Bloom Balls Mahoney (6'2 350 lbs., Nutley, New Jersey) vs "Total Destruction" Steve Riley (6'5 270 lbs., Goldsmith, Texas) **This is the RCW premiere of highly touted prospect Steve Riley who has been trained in Texas at Lonestar Championship Wrestling, with this being his first foray outside of his home territory. He is a former football player (NCAA and NFL practice squads), NCAA wrestler, trained in Judo, and has spent some time with the Army reserves. He is a no nonsense guy but also does comes off as arrogant and has no use for the fans or the rules. The two start the bout rather hesitantly with some hook ups that Riley wins despite giving away 80 pounds. Mahoney though has a surprising grasp of the ground game and uses a single leg takedown and then works a leglock. Eventually Riley is able to get out of it by pulling on Balls' hair, then he squats up with Mahoney over his shoulder and takes him down with a Samoan drop. Riley nails a pair of football tackles but Mahoney rolls out of the way of a knee drop from the second buckle. Mahoney goes for the leg again but this time Riley is ready and counters with a dragon legwhip. Riley now shows his ground game as he ground and pounds on his opponent. At times this match has a UFC type feel, or much more traditional than Mahoney's usual brawls. Mahoney catches Riley with a knee, followed by a facebuster, a diving legdrop, and then went to the top probably for his frog splash. Riley though was up on his feet and gorilla press slammed Mahoney off the top. Double leg takedown, headbutt to the gut, kip up, legdrop to the gut, then from his back smashed his heel repeatedly into the midsection of Mahoney. Balls turned over in a puke position, only to have Riley do a side roll, for 1, 2, kickout. Riley then nailed Mahoney with a fisherman suplex, drop toe hold driving Mahoney face first into the lowest buckle, whip to the ropes to set up a big boot, side slam. Mahoney is completely out on his feet. Referee Bloom counts him down on the mat, and Mahoney is only able to get to his feet at the count of 9. Riley then clips his leg out from under him, scoops him up, Emerald Flowsion, 1, 2, 3!! Impressive win for Riley. [Steve Riley defeated Balls Mahoney by pinfall after an Emerald Flowsion at 7:56]
Bout #3 20 Minute Time Limit - Referee Jennifer Greaves El Dandy & Silver King (combined wt. 410 lbs.) vs Team Extreme: Kit Carson & Khris Germany (combined wt. 491 lbs.) **Team Extreme come in as former NWA World Tag Champions, with Germany coming in at 264 lbs, making him the biggest of the four men by far. Dandy and Silver King of course are luchadores from Mexico and have made quite the impression on the fans the past few weeks in their RCW appearances. Extreme decided to try and make this an unofficial Texas Tornado match but were surprised by the luchas ability to work as a team and give as good as they take, including double suicida planchas. Extreme rethought their approach and turned it into a more traditional North American style match, with simple strong moves coupled with cheating. Dandy played Ricky Morton for a couple minutes. Silver King though got the hot tag and took care of both men with matching airplane spins, and then after recovering from his own stumbles (which Tolbert referred to as the Mexican siesta spins) he nailed matching Tiger suplexes. The smaller Carson was the legal man and it was his turn to take a couple minutes of damage from each member of the lucha team, including a double team electric chair drop. That would have won the bout but Germany came in to break it up. The match spilled outside and it was a four man brawl. The luchas tossed their opponents steel chairs and then nailed them with a superkick by Dandy and a dropkick by Silver King. They then went to do the same thing again, but this time Extreme tossed the chairs back to the Luchas, who tossed them back, and then Extreme tossed them back again, and the Mexicans threw them at the feet of their opponents. When both members of Extreme went to pick up the chairs the luchas stomped their fingers, then nailed them with facebusters onto the chairs. The luchas went back into the ring and then flew back out with suicide dives. They tried for a second set but this time Extreme both moved out of the way. Back inside the ring Team Extreme dominated Silver King using quick tags. Carson nailed a death valley driver, pin 1, 2, broken up by Dandy. Germany then set up King on the top rope, stood on the bottom buckle and brought him down with a neckbreaker, cover, 1, 2, Dandy came in to break it up but Germany moved out of the way and Dandy stomped King in the head. Surprised by what he had done Dandy was an easy target for a double team clothesline sending him over the top rope to the ground below. But Dandy recovered fast and was already on the top rope when Extreme went for a version of the Doomsday device. Dandy was able to fly from the top rope clipping the leg out from under Germany sending all 3 men to the mat. Carson came off the top rope anyway, nailing Dandy with a flying elbowdrop, he covered, 1, 2, Greaves stopped, realizing Dandy was not the legal man. We then had another four man brawl in and out of the ring. Team Extreme was winning the fisticuffs, until the luchas hit them with duelling standing dropkicks. We are about 13 minutes into the bout. Silver King nailed Carson with a running shoulderblock, but when he came off the ropes again he was kicked in the back by Germany. Carson then went for a running legdrop but King was able to roll out of the way and tag out to Dandy, and Carson tagged out to Germany. Dandy nailed a single arm bulldog, pinned, 1, 2, Carson vaulted over the ropes to splash Dandy, but he moved out of the way and Carson landed on his own parter...Dandy got down on the mat and counted, 1, 2, kickout by Germany. Carson was confused and asked Dandy if that was a 3 count, but Dandy held up 2 fingers. Finally Carson clued in that wasn't the ref, and the two exchanged punches from their knees, and then Dandy nailed him with a mini-jawbreaker from the knees. But Germany was the legal man and he Greco Roman kicked Dandy in the guts, then laid in some uppercut forearms. A whip to the ropes and Silver King tagged in off his back. Germany nailed Dandy with a tllt-a-whirl slam only to have Silver King nail him with a drop kick to the face. A four man brawl erupted, that saw Silver King throw Germany over the top rope, then back drop Carson over the top rope, and then back drop his own partner Dandy over the top rope with Dandy landing on both opponents. It was a train wreck with only Silver King left standing who then did the moon walk. Dandy rolled Germany back into the ring, and Silver King nailed him with a sitout crucifix powerbomb, cover 1, 2, kickout. Germany made a short comeback with some clotheslines, and then his own sitout crucifix powerbomb, cover was broken up by Dandy. Tag was made to Carson who walked over and slapped Dandy. While Greaves was busy keeping Dandy out of the ring Team Extreme double teamed King in just a series of beatdown moves. King tried to stumble over for a tag only to be taken down by Carson with a flying bulldog. But Carson landed too close to the buckle and Dandy jumped off the apron, grabbed Carson's feet and pulled him, crotching him into the ringpost. Germany decided he had seen enough and brought a steel chair into the proceedings. However, King took him down with a drop toe hold smashing his face off the chair, and then Dandy vaulted over the top rope landing with a legdrop driving Germany's face again into the chair. It was all luchas now with a double leapfrog followed by a doubleteam drop toe hold on Carson, then a double snap kick to his head. Announcement of two minutes remaining in the bout. Greaves waited for Dandy to leave the ring, which is why when King went for the pin it was able to be broken up by Germany. Silver King whipped Carson into the corner and nailed a springboard legwhip, he tagged out to Dandy, but Carson was also able to tag out to Germany. Germany tried to punch Dandy who grabbed his hand and bent his middle finger back, then followed up with a pair of flying armdrags, and then a snap kick to the head. One minute remaining. Tolbert wondered out loud if the Mexicans could understand the announcement. Tag out to Silver King who nailed a slingshot suplex, and a single arm DDT for a 2 count. Both men tagged out again and we had Dandy and Germany. Germany ran at Dandy who somersaulted away. Silver King nailed Germany with a back elbow as he was leaving the ring while Dandy got to his feet and nailed Carson with a forearm knocking him off the ring apron. Dandy then rolled up Germany with La Dandina roll up for the 1, 2, 3!! Barely beat the time limit! Excellent Match!!! [El Dandy & Silver King defeated Khris Germany & Kit Carson by pinfall when Dandy pinned Germany after La Dandina rollup at 19:40]
Bout #4 20 Minute Time Limit - Referee Buddy Lane Kurrgan (6'10 330 lbs., Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, New Brunswick) vs Chrome (6'9 340 lbs., The Future) **Most of the momentum garnered from the previous match was lost in this battle of the big men. Interesting on paper perhaps but underwhelming in the ring. Hard to understand how Chrome could be billed as 10 lbs heavier than Kurrgan when he gives away an inch and has pretty much the same build. Maybe the extra weight was in all his leather, chaps, and biker boots. Typical big man bout with the veteran Kurrgan controlling more of the match. They punched, they chopped, they kicked, and they slammed. They went outside the ring once but it was slow going and after that stint stayed inside. Kurrgan used a nerve hold to keep his opponent down, and almost got the arm to drop 3 times. He went for a clawhold to follow up but it was countered with a rake of the eyes. The crowd of course was solidly behind the face Kurrgan (plus he was a fellow Canadian, and no one from the audience could probably claim to be from The Future). Kurrgan reversed a whip to the ropes and then a big boot gave Kurrgan a 2 count. When the Acadian tried to follow up with a tombstone, Chrome countered with a back bodydrop. Chrome laid in some boots, used the bottom rope to aid a boot choke, and then the top rope for a choke and then a rake across the head. The big biker guy then nailed a hotshot for a 2 count, followed by a hangman's neckbreaker for another 2 count. He went to the top rope, but it was too soon and Kurrgan tossed him off the top rope. However, Kurrgan tried to follow up with a running legdrop and Chrome moved out of the way. The one wearing chaps than nailed a shoulderbreaker and then surprised with an STF. Kurrgan must have been feeling banged up because he tapped out shortly after. [Chrome defeated Kurrgan by submission to the STF at 7:23]
Bout #5 30 Minute Time Limit - Referee Jennifer Greaves The Extremists: Ace Darling & Devon Storm (combined wt. 470 lbs.). vs. Destruction Crew: Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom (combined wt. 518 lbs.) **The DC were the winners of the RCW tag team of the decade for the 90's but the Extremists had to have been a close second, and are looking to prove they are the best (although the DC have both been recently retired while Darling and Storm are still active). Surprisingly the match started with reluctant handshakes for respect. Soon though the match got rough and the sportsmanship broke down. The first few minutes were hesitant and all four men had a chance to give and receive in the holiday spirit. The DC grabbed the first sustained advantage and punctuated it by nailing the Shaker Heights; Enos flapjacked Darling into the air, and Bloom caught him with a kneeling head spike. This was their finisher when they competed in the WWF as the Beverly Brothers. Storm though broke up the pinfall with a springboard splash. The Extremists then pushed their advantage until they hit Bloom with a double team superplex. Enos came in to make the save, but Darling tried to stop him, only for Enos to bull rush Darling and tackle him right on the other two to force the break. A four man brawl ensued and not only did the DC take control but they nailed the spiked piledriver on Storm, covered 1, 2, Darling reached in and pulled Bloom out of the ring by his feet. Bloom threw Darling into the crowd but was then hit with a tope by Storm. Enos then came off the ring apron with a running clothesline taking down Storm. We were about 10 minutes into the bout. Back inside the Extremists took control and punished Enos with a double dropkick and a double slingshot suplex. Wayne Bloom tried to interfere but Greaves kept him out, which allowed Darling to nail Enos with a release German suplex, and when he got up Storm nailed him with another release German suplex back towards Darling who nailed him with a running neck snap, and when he stumbled to his feet Storm nailed him with a superkick, covered, 1, 2, broken up by Bloom. Another four man brawl ensued, and the DC took back control. Bloom punished Darling with a spinebuster slam, powerbomb, and then a double underhook suplex, cover, 1, 2 kickout. Tag out to Enos, and after some double team chops, Enos nailed Darling with a short arm clothesline and a overhead belly to belly suplex but again only got a 2 count. Enos then nailed Darling with the Snake Eyes throwing him head first into the top ringpost. Enos then knocked Storm off the apron and when Storm tried to get back into the ring it distracted Greaves and allowed the DC to set up for the Doomsday device. Storm though was able to come over and knock Enos to the mat off the top. All four men brawled now from inside the ring to outside. They got chairs and tables involved and finally Greaves threw the bout out. [Ace Darling & Devon Storm and Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom battled to a double countout at 15:03]
Post-Match: Team Extreme: Kit Carson & Khris Germany came out to join the DC in attacking the Extremists (nobody ever calls themselves the Medians do they?). The DC though didn't appreciate it and attacked the Extremists. The fray was joined by Silver King and El Dandy and we had a five minute explosion of the four tag teams nailing each other with chair shots and aerial attacks. In the end everyone was knocked down like a train wreck outside the ring, and officials came out to guide the teams away from ringside.
Bout #6 30 Minute Time Limit - Referee Buddy Lane Losers Leave RCW Spike Dudley & Greg Pawluk (combined wt. 355 lbs.). vs Scotty Anton & Vincent Regliatti (combined wt. 467 lbs.) **Spike starts off against Anton and after some stick and move attacks he tags out to Pawluk. Anton gets the drop on Pawluk with a kick to the thigh, follows up with some forearms, then some shoulderblocks in the corner until Pawluk leaps out of the way causing Anton to smash his shoulder into the ring post. Pawluk tries to roll him up but Anton holds onto the ropes, comes down with his knees but Spike had run in and pulled Pawluk out of the way. Both teams tagged. Regliatti nailed Dudley with four straight flying armdrags that tossed the little man around. On the fourth one Spike rolled out of the ring, ran around outside and then rolled back in. Regs tried to drop a knee but Spike rolled out of the way and then nailed a flying clothesline. The two exchanged punches and then Regs lit him up with stiff chops in the corner. He dragged Spike to the corner and tagged out to Anton who went to work on the ribs. He tagged out to Regs and they took full advantage of the 5 count, Regs nailed some knees to the ribs, then a modified back breaker to the ribs, and then tagged out to Anton again as they used the 5 count to cheat. Pawluk tried to get involved but of course that just got Lane's attention and allowed more double teams where Anton held onto the arm of Spike exposing the ribs for several kicks from Regs. Anton slowed things down with a armbar on the mat but placing his foot firmly into the ribs of Spike. Anton sent Spike to the ropes and went for a scoop slam only to have Spike counter with a hurrancanrana and then slowly got to the corner to tag out to Pawluk. We were about 6 minutes into the bout. Pawluk backed Anton up with a series of forearm uppercuts, then whipped Anton across hard to the far buckle, and caught him on the rebound with a hurrancanrana that he turned into a roll through where he was on top and peppered Anton with punches to the head. Referee Lane made Pawluk break because of the illegal punches. Pawluk nailed a flying crossbody block, covered, 1, 2, broken up by Regliatti. Then when Lane was putting Regs out of the ring Spike snuck into the ring and caught Anton by surprise with the Acid drop. Both men were down though, and by the time Pawluk made the cover Anton was able to kick out. Both men tag out and we have Spike against Regliatti as we are about 8 minutes into the bout. Dudley ducked away from a clotheslines sliding between Regs legs, then nailed him with a standing drop kick, followed by a series of running stomps. He then nailed a pair of somersault splashes, but when he got up from the second one Anton reached in and grabbed him by the belt, and pulled him out of the ring to the floor below. Anton then dropped a knee on Spike off the apron before rolling him back inside. Regs went to work on Spike with a double leg takedown, a series of leg twists, a leg spreader made more effective given the short stature of Spike's legs, and then put on the figure-four. Spike though was able to get to the ropes for the break. Regs tagged out to Anton who then ignored the damage done to Spike's legs and instead nailed an inverted atomic drop and then a fisherman's suplex but only got a 2 count. Tag was made to Regs, they sent Spike to the ropes for a double clothesline but Spike ducked under, put on the breaks, went to take them both down with a double DDT, but they resisted and threw Spike half way across the ring. But Spike was able to roll over and make the tag to Pawluk who went right after Regs. More forearms by Pawluk, and then a whip to the ropes was reversed by Regs who nailed a tllt-a-whirl backbreaker. Regs stomped away at the back of Pawluk, went for his version of the sharpshooter; but this of course drew the ire of his partner Anton who doesn't like anyone else using the hold. Regs seemed surprised that Anton was yelling at him, but decided to drop the hold and tag out. Anton then went to put on his version (the Clap), but stopped first to taunt the crowd by clapping. By the time he went to put the hold back on Pawluk was able to reach up and pull Anton into a cradle for a 2 count. Anton though took back control and backed Pawluk into their corner. While Lane tried to make him break he just held Pawluk there while his partner Regliatti laid in punches to the back from the ring apron. After the break Anton laid in a couple bodyslams then put on a bearhug. Finally Pawluk countered the bearhug with a belly to belly suplex. Both men managed to tag out and we had Spike again against Regliatti at about the 15 minute mark. Regs reversed a whip to the buckle and sent Spike into the corner, but then ate Spike's boot when he charged in too fast. Spike rolled him up for only a 1 count, then Regs nailed a clothesline, sent Spike to the ropes and followed through with a powerslam for a 2 count. Regs nailed a series of stomps and then elbow drops. He went for the figure four but Spike kicked him off. Anton tagged in and went for the Clap but Spike again kicked him off. This time he was able to tag out to Pawluk. Scotty caught Pawluk with a kick, laid in some more and than hit a flying hip attack. Anton stomped away at the legs of Pawluk and then smashed his leg across the ring apron, and then the ring post. Anton came back inside and put on the figure-four. This though drew the ire of Reglaitti who said that was his hold. When Anton wouldn't break it up Regs actually distracted the ref which allowed Spike to come in and break it up. Anton argued with Regs and then tagged him in while Spike was also tagged in. Seeing Spike come in though Anton decided to tag himself back in off the back of his partner. Anton nailed some kicks, then a snap mare on Dudley followed by a couple kicks to the back. Anton went for a dragon suplex but Spike countered by slipping out of it and rolling Anton up for a 1 count. They did some standing switches and Anton held on too long as Spike ran to the ropes and then put on the brakes and sent Anton flying between the ropes to the floor below. Spike went for a baseball slide but Anton moved out of the way. The two brawled and Spike slammed Anton to the mat, before coming off the ring apron with a big double stomp onto Anton. Back inside Spike nailed a battering ram, and then went for the Acid Drop but Anton countered by throwing Spike into the buckle. Anton was able to tag out to Regs who went straight back to work on Spike's legs, and then again Spike was able to counter a figure four attempt with a kick off. Regs then attacked the back of Spike, and then instead of a sharpshooter he only put on a single leg Boston. Spike was able to make it to the corner for the break and tagged out to Pawluk. We were about 22 minutes into the bout. Regs caught Pawluk with a chop to the throat and then got down on the mat for some old fashioned double handed chokes. Regs then did the same thing over the top rope before using it like a slingshot to send Pawluk tumbling to the middle of the ring. Fistdrop, got a 2 count. Northern lights suplex with a bridge for a 2 count. Bodyslam, followed by a splash from the second rope, another 2 count. Anton was calling for a tag but Regs ignored him. Some punches, a whip to the ropes, and both men went for a cross bodyblock smashing into each other. Pawluk tagged out first and Spike came in and dragged Regs by the legs to the middle of the ring. Double foot stomp by Spike, followed by a Tiger Bomb, 1, 2, broken up by Anton. This brought Pawluk into the ring, but Lane was putting him out allowing Anton to kick Spike in the back of the head and Regs was able to tag out to Anton. Scotty went to work on Spike with kicks to the back and a camel clutch. Somehow Spike survived the clutch and got a rope break. Spike tried to get over for a tag only to be cut off by Anton who walked Spike back to their corner. Regs used the tag rope to choke Spike while Anton kept pounding on the midsection. This brought Pawluk in and once Regs had let go of the tag rope referee Lane was distracted putting Pawluk out of the ring. Regs dropped off the apron grabbed a steel chair and as Anton moved Spike away from the buckle along the ropes, Regs nailed Spike in the back with the steel chair. Anton then locked on The Clap, and as Spike tapped out Regliatti just threw up his hands with his teammate and left alone for the back. Great Match. [Scotty Anton & Vincent Regliatti defeated Spike Dudley & Greg Pawluk by submission when Anton submitted Dudley to the Clap at 27:05] [Spike Dudley & Greg Pawluk have to leave RCW]
Bout #7 30 Minute Time Limit - Referee Shiela Bloom North American Women's Title Match Guitar on a Pole Match Stacey Lynn (champion) (5'6 139 lbs. Chicago, Illinois) (/w Chris Lydon) vs Jessica Judd (5'4 140 lbs. Clearview, West Virginia) **Lydon came out to second Lynn, and this was the first manager of the night, typical for RCW where managers traditionally have not played a big part. The women's division has been in flux for the past year with Lynn, Judd, and Becky all having heat with each other and with the former champion TrummerFrauen. Lynn won the belt just over a month ago against Judd using her own guitar against her, after Judd had done the almost impossible with a highly orchestrated victory over the dominant TrummerFrauen to take the belt away. So tonight Judd's guitar is suspended from a pole. Once retrieved it becomes a legal weapon but getting it or using it alone is not enough for victory on its own. Pinfalls, submissions, disqualifications, and countouts are still in effect. Even though both women would probably be classified as tweeners the fans were pretty solidly behind Judd. The country girl started strong going right after the champ and gave her a tour of the turnbuckles before a big back bodydrop, and then a somersault splash. She covered and got a 1 count. Judd continued the punishment with 3 consecutive atomic drops followed by a springboard forearm smash, but Lynn used the momentum to toss Judd out of the ring. Of course Lydon was right there, but Judd backed her off, which Lydon was fine with as she was just creating a distraction while Lynn went for the guitar. Judd was able to kick Lydon in the head from the ring apron, then come in and suplex Lynn off the second buckle, the guitar remaining in place. Judd then went for the guitar but it was too soon and Lynn caught her and brought her down and got her first advantage of the bout. Lynn followed up with a Giant swing, and then a slingshot into the corner, rolled up Judd 1, 2, grabbed a handful of tights, but it was seen by Bloom who called for the break. While Lynn distracted Bloom by arguing Lydon was able to reach into the ring and choke Judd. Lynn then nailed some stomps, and a pair of snap suplexes. Lynn went for the guitar but Judd pulled her down, causing Lynn to fall throat first across the top rope. Judd went to work with a series of clubbing forearms to the back, a front layout suplex and a running legdrop, cover for a 2 count. Judd went as if for the guitar but when Lynn hurried to get her, Judd leapt backward for a cross body, but Lynn turned it into a powerslam. Lynn then just punched away in a mounted position, until Judd used her legs to capture Lynn's arms and roll her up for a 2 count. Back on their feet and Judd ducked a clotheslines, applied a backslide for another 2 count. This time Lynn went with a boot to the gut, and followed up with a jumping DDT. Lynn slingshot Judd into the corner again, and then ran up her, climbing the pole to the guitar. She was able to unhook the guitar but Judd then brought her down to the mat with a slam, sending the guitar bouncing across the ring. Lydon reached into the ring and took the guitar. Judd was looking around for the guitar and then realizing that Lydon must have it started to jaw with her. Judd hesitated leaving the ring as Lydon feigned a guitar shot, so Lynn struck from behind with a forearm knocking Judd out of the ring. Lydon was going to hit Judd with the guitar but Bloom got in the way refusing to allow the manager to swing. So Lynn took Judd back into the ring, and had Lydon then toss her the guitar. Lynn swung the guitar but Judd rolled out of the way, then hit Lynn with a spinning heel kick. Lynn dropped the guitar and Judd came off the ropes with a flying clothesline. Judd picked up the guitar and ~waffled~ Lynn over the head. Lydon tried to enter the ring so Judd hit her with the remnants of the guitar. Judd pinned the champ, 1, 2, 3!!! New women's champion! Jessica Judd begins her second title reign, ending the short reign of Lynn, and starting the 70th reign in the title lineage. Judd also becomes the first repeat champion since Madusa won her 4th title back in 1997. [Jessica Judd defeated Stacey Lynn by pinfall after hitting her with a guitar at 8:15] [Jessica Judd wins the North American Women's Title]
Bout #8 60 Minute Time Limit - Referee Buddy Lane RCW Television Title Match Stan Baker (champion) (6'3 275 lbs. St. Louis, Missouri) vs Al Hardamann (5'11 235 lbs. Tampa, Florida) **Interestingly enough these two tangled in the opening bout at last year's Anniversary show, which was Hardamann's first appearance in RCW, but it was won by Baker with the heart punch. These two have continued to feud off and on throughout the year with Baker having a long run with the TV belt. Hardamann is also returning from injury when Baker put him out with a concussion in mid-October using the ring bell. Baker tried to attack Hardamann before the bell, but the man sometimes referred to as "Wild Thing" (perhaps ironically) or "Hard Work" (not ironically) was ready and laid in some stiff jabs and then smashed Baker's head off the buckle. Hardamann put Baker in a standing headlock and laid in some punches to the head at the same time. Baker pushed him off but Hardamann reapplied the hold and this time used a brainbuster (atomic noogie) to draw screams from the champ. After a break Hardamann teased the champ by screaming like a little girl. It worked and Baker charged the challenger who back flipped him out of the ring. The momentum though also took Hardamann over. Baker got off first with a punch, then some kicks. Baker battered Hardamann around ringside, as referee Lane used the idle threat of a countout. Baker held Hardamann's head down on the announce table right beside the ring bell and screamed at him "do you remember that? or did I scramble your brains too much?". Hardamann grabbed Baker by the head and managed to smash him face first into the ringbell. Back inside Hardamann went to work with some twisting armbars, an armbreaker coming off the second buckle and then put him in a cross armbreaker submission. Baker though was able to power his way to the ropes and then rake the eyes of Hardamann. He then rabbit punched the challenger and then took him over with a belly to back suplex for a 1 count. They met with duelling clotheslines, but Baker was first to his feet. Standing head scissors, Hardamann was able to break free but when he popped his head up Baker went for a clothesline...Hardamann countered with an armbar into a rolling cradle for a 2 count. Back on their feet Baker laid in a boot to the gut, and then a quick powerbomb. The big man had to back away though and held onto the ropes as he got his breath back. We were about 5 minutes into the bout. Baker went for a running boot but Hardamann moved out of the way and the champ wrecked himself in the corner. Hardamann launched himself off the middle buckle with a flying fist taking Baker down. Instead of going for a pin though Hardamann took Baker's head in one hand while straddling him and laid in a series of punches. Back on his feet Hardamann laid in a series of boots, and then a boot choke while arguing with referee Lane. Hardamann nailed a falling neckbreaker for a 2 count, a DDT for another 2 count. He was setting Baker up for another DDT type move but Baker got leverage and vaulted the challenger over the top rope to the floor below. The champ decided to catch his breath and recover while seeing if Hardamann would be able to get back inside. Hardamann finally managed to roll back inside at the count of 9 but was immediately set upon by the champ with a series of knee drops, and then some punches to the kidney area. Baker applied a lifted bearhug until Hardamann was able to punch his way out of it. Hardamann came off the ropes for a cross body but Baker caught him and turned it into a powerslam, cover, 1, 2, foot on the ropes. We are about 10 minutes into this title bout. A series of fisticuffs and brawling ensued, and it stayed inside the ring until Hardamann took advantage of the apron to deliver a hot shot to Baker. He then dragged Baker out of the ring and slammed him back first into the ring apron a couple of times. Hardamann was going to throw the champ back into the ring but Baker lashed out with a knee to the gut and then a two handed earringer, followed by a spinebuster slam on the floor. Back inside Baker attacked the back with stomps, bearhugs, and then a Boston crab. Hardamann was in trouble but managed to fight back. Hardamann then changed his approach going after the left hand (fingers) of the champ. Linley Tolbert pointed out to the fans that Baker's finisher Heart Punch is partly so deadly because he is a southpaw, so he has more wind up room delivering the punch across the body than if he was a right handed puncher. Hardmann did this for a couple minutes, even drawing blood from the hand. At one point Baker tried to stick his bloody hand into Hardmann's mouth, maybe for a mandible claw but Hardamann bit him instead. We are about 15 minutes into the bout. The champ took back control, nailed a spinning spinebuster, a Thesz press, and a kneed drop from the second buckle (twice) but Hardamann kept kicking out. Finally Baker, lifted the hand of Hardamann as if in victory and came across with the heart punch. It landed, but you could tell that because of the pain in his hand he did not get as much power as usual. Hardamann kicked out at the count of 1. Baker wasted time complaining to referee Lane which allowed the challenger to attack. Punches, whip to the buckle, more punches, a monkey flip out of the corner, a flying clothesline, all to set up the Vertebreaker. But when Hardamann tried to heft Baker the big man shifted his weight enough down and to the side to break free and counter by taking Hardamann up into a fireman's carry into a flapjack, cover, 1, 2, kickout! Flustered Baker regrouped with some lack lustre punches. He then put him in a standing headlock for a powerbomb perhaps but Hardamann slipped out, took an armbar, sprung off the second buckle with a nice looking cutter, covered, 1, 2, 3!!! Great win for Hardamann! We have a new Television champion! This will be Hardamann's first title in River City Wrestling, and he becomes the 49th RCW TV/Heritage champion in the lineage of that belt. It also ends Stan Baker's impressive first run with the title which begun on February 19th when he defeated Marcus Schultz in a tournament final for the vacant belt. Effectively Baker had held that belt the entire year. [Al Hardamann defeated Stan Baker by pinfall after a springboard cutter at 17:37] [Al Hardamann wins the RCW Television Title]
Bout #9 60 Minute Time Limit - Referee Jennifer Greaves RCW Tag Team Title Match The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers (champions) (combined wt. 478 lbs) vs The Road Warriors: Hawk & Animal (/w Paul Ellering) (combined wt. 580 lbs.) **Much like the last match, this was another episode of a great feud although the Roadies have not been in RCW for many months since shortly after they dropped the belts to the 'Busters back on March 25th. The 'busters did drop the belts to Giant Balls since then but regained their titles for their 3rd reign on October 14th. Ellering distracted the champs waving a Wall Street Journal in their face and the Roadies attacked. They tossed Orth out of the ring and went for the Doomsday device. They nailed it and may have won the titles in less than 30 seconds except Orth was able to reach in and pull Caruthers out of the ring. It looked like the champs were leaving as they grabbed their belts and started to head up the aisle. The Roadies went right after them and after punches in the head dragged them back into the ring. Duel flying clotheslines, duel gorilla press slams and once again the champs took a powder. The challengers went right after them but this time the busters rolled back into the ring and then caught the Roadies as they tried to get back into the ring. Referee Greaves sorted it out and we had Caruthers pounding on Hawk as the legal men. Caruthers went to work with a series of knee drops, a neckbreaker, and a German suplex, he covered but only got a 1 count. Tag out to Orth and they cut the ring in half and continued to punish Hawk and made frequent tags. On Orth's third time in the ring he put on an Indian deathlock, while Animal encouraged his partner he did not look worried. Hawk got to the ropes for the break. We are about 5 minutes into the bout. Orth tried to whip Hawk into the corner where Caruthers was waiting with an extended knee, but it was reversed and Orth got the brunt of his partners' knee and then Hawk took him over with a belly to belly. He covered, but no count, as the knee was considered a tag, and Caruthers took advantage with a knee to the back of the neck of Hawk. He sent Hawk to the ropes for a spinebuster slam, but Hawk elbowed his way out of it. Hawk nailed a clothesline and then a jumping fist drop. He tossed Caruthers into their own corner and tagged in Animal. No it was the Roadies turn to work over one of the Busters making quick tags, cutting the ring in half, and when Orth tried to interfere he ate a big boot from Hawk, and then Animal tossed him over the top rope. Animal nailed Caruthers with a powerslam, covered but only got a 2 count. Tag in to Hawk who came off the top rope with the diving clothesline. Instead of covering they decided to go for the doomsday device again... But for some reason Vincent Regliatti came down to ringside, and he was accompanied by his former Great Canadian tag partner Eric Scott. The two of them menaced Paul Ellering, who is no wallflower. Ellering began to exchange punches with the Great Canadians, which caused the Roadies to abandon the ring and come to his defence. The Spinebusters soon joined and it was 4 on 3, so it was a pretty even fight. The action did go back inside the ring and RCW officials came out to force the Canadians to the back. However, the damage to the flow of the match was done, and we had two four man brawls inside the ring that spread outside. The tempers could not be contained and the Roadies began to use chairs outside the ring. The Road Warriors got the better of the champs and decimated them, but they would not win the titles as Greaves threw the bout out disqualifying the Warriors for using the chairs. Not a popular decision with the fans. The first real poor finish tonight. [The Spinebusters defeated The Road Warriors by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 10:31] [The Spinebusters retained the RCW Tag Team Titles]
Main Event 60 Minute Time Limit - Referee Buddy Lane RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday (champion) (6'9 285 lbs. Odessa, Texas) vs Manny Silva (/w Lord Zoltan) (5'11 245 lbs. Hawaii) **"Mad Dog" or the "Mad Hawaiian" Manny Silva is an RCW legend, although a despised one. Having been a dastardly heel his entire time in RCW, he has managed to rack up two stints with the Heavyweight title and is looking to make it a third tonight. He has also spent much of the past years inured (he last held the title in 1997), suspended, or on a self-imposed sabbatical. Tonight though he looked focused and the match surprisingly started off tentatively with some collar elbow hookups, tests of strength, ring breaks etc. Holiday has some words for Zoltan who is yapping at him, which opens up the first big break for the challenger who attacks the leg of the champ. Silva takes it to the mat where he continues to work the leg, and after a rope break while Silva distracts Lane, Zoltan bashes the leg off the ring post. Silva drags the champ to the middle of the ring where he continues to work the leg, but when he finally gets around to putting on the figure-four, he is too slow and the champ uses his reach to pull Silva by the hair and bring him down into a front chancery on the mat. Lane forces a break because of the hair, and when Holiday tries to get up he needs the ring ropes for support, so Silva kicks his leg out from under him. Silva then lays in some knees and goes for the figure four again. This time he is way too close to the ropes and Holiday is able to get the break. The champ uses the buckles for support and kicks out at Silva catching him in the chest, and tries to follow up with an elbow, but his legs buckle. He still catches Silva in the ribs as he falls but its not very hard. We are about 5 minutes into the bout. Silva pounded on the back of the champ, then applied a rear chinlock. Holiday absorbed it for a bit and then got to his feet with Silva on his back. Holiday though couldn't hold the weight so he lurched forward and sent Silva tumbling through the ropes. Lord Zoltan helped his man but by the time the challenger got into the ring Holiday was ready. Still using the ring ropes for support he laid in some jabs, and then clotheslined the challenger to the mat. On the ground the champ worked a front chancery and tried to wear Silva down all the while trying to work the kinks out of his leg. The fans started to get restless and chant for something to happen, and Silva worked it to their feet. Silva laid in some elbows to the mid-section, sent Holiday to the ropes, went for a shoulderblock but the bigger Holiday knocked him down. Silva went for a leg whip, but the champ jumped into the air to avoid the leg, and then came down with an elbowdrop. Holiday began to exert control as we are about 9 minutes into the bout. The fans may not have any love for Silva but perhaps their respect for him over the next few minutes grew. Holiday was all over Silva with a fairly basic attack of punches, kicks, clotheslines, chops, and suplexes. He nailed a big German suplex and got a 2 count. Zoltan was reaching into the ropes to grab the leg of his man (but Silva kicked out on his own anyway). However, this caused Holiday to leave the ring and chase Zoltan, which of course ended with Silva blindsiding the champ. Silva tossed the big Texan head first into the steel guard rail and then took him back inside. Silva's advantage though only lasted a few seconds before Holiday took back control again with some chops. He went back to his same solid attack and just laid in the punishment. Several near falls, and at some point Silva got busted open hard way. Holiday set Silva up on the top buckle and brought him down with a superplex, covered, 1, 2, shoulder up! We are about 15 minutes into the bout now, Silva is a bloody mess and Holiday is getting a little bit frustrated. Holiday tossed Silva to the buckle and charged in with a big elbow. After some shoulderblocks, he stood on the second buckle and began to rain down fists to the bloody head of the challenger. With what little he had left in the tank, Silva bear hugged the champ and bull rushed out of the corner hitting a hellacious spinebuster. But both men were down and slowly got to their feet at the count of 8. Holiday got off first with some punches, but Silva lashed out with a rake of the eyes, and then a thumb to the throat. He put Holiday in a side headlock and then drove a thumb into the throat again. Silva then went to the attack that made him famous and often suspended with a series of chokeholds, boot chokes, and chokes across the top rope. He changed tactics momentarily, but not for the better, setting Holiday up in the tree of whoa and laid in some kicks to the ribs and sternum and then a knee to the throat before Lane was able to unceremoniously dump the champ free. Silva continued the attack and then again set Holiday up on the top rope, crotching him on top, then put one leg to each side of the buckle. Lane warned Silva that a shot to the family jewels and he would throw out the match, so Silva laid in shots instead to the gut and then took the champ down with his own superplex. The challenger then went to the move that got him suspended in the past, choking Holiday by wrapping the second and top ropes around his throat, then suspending him and pulling on his feet from the floor while Lane counted. Finally Silva let go and returned to the ring but Holiday was still dangling. Referees Greaves and Bloom as well as trainer Vic Gate came out to help Lane free the champ as well as to hold back Silva. Lane looked on the verge of calling for a DQ but Holiday sputtered at him to let the match continue. Silva was looking like a complete mad man, his face a crimson mask, and his opponent a tinge of purple. In fact it was Lord Zoltan of all people that restrained his man, holding him back, to stop him from attacking the champ or the officials while they were getting Holiday free and checking on him. Silva then worked a sleeperhold which he would slip down to a choke when Lane didn't have a clear view. Finally Lane caught the cheat and called for the break. Silva then went for his finisher the wheelbarrow suplex, and it may have been enough to get the win, but Silva could not contain himself. Instead of just hitting the suplex he first decided to bounce the champ throat first off the top cable. However, the champ grabbed onto the top rope instead of being bounced. He then wrapped his big boots around the head of Silva and began to squeeze, as he walked his hands along the ropes bringing Silva with him to the corner. The champ then let go of his feet momentarily from squeezing Silva's head, reared one back a bit and kicked Silva in the head. Silva dropped like a bag of rocks. The champ climbed to the top rope and came off with his finisher the top rope leg drop, covered, and got the 1, 2, 3!!! Gutsy win for the champ! [Sam Holiday defeated Manny Silva by pinfall after a top rope leg drop at 22:44] [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title]
In my humble opinion River City's Anniversary show never fails to deliver with great in ring action. This year's show was not on PPV, but will be divided over several weeks' episodes. Without time constraints and with an early start 3pm, it allowed a show that with two intermissions was about 4 1/2 hours long.
That's it for another year of River City Wrestling that began with a big change of ownership to Jack Larkin, a new commissioner Greg Gagne and high hopes. The original plan did not go as planned and Larkin was forced to take a step back and RCW went back to its roots.
See ya next year!

Opening Bout Eric Scott defeated Zakk Wylde by pinfall after a Northern lights suplex at 7:54 **Scott is back, having made an appearance with his old Great Canadian tag partner Vincent Regliatti to distract the Road Warriors at the Anniversary show. Decent showing by Wylde but he was clearly the underdog here.
Bout #2 Players Club: Will Damon & Chris Parys defeated Canadian Outlaws: Adam Knight & Darren Dalton by pinfall when Parys pinned Dalton after the Parysault at 9:09 **Filler, but returns the PC, and specifically "Class Act" Chris Parys to the pay window after his loss to Shane Madison at the anniversary show.
Bout #3 Chris Lydon defeated Christi Wolf by pinfall after a victory roll (and a handful of tights) at 5:38 **The muscular Wolf controlled most of the bout but Lydon managed to cheat to win after Wolf crashed into the buckle when attempting a running splash.
Bout #4 Chrome defeated Balls Mahoney by submission to the STF at 6:36 **Chrome is so massive at 6'9 340, and over powered Mahoney. It looked like Mahoney may have injured his leg in the bout as he was helped to the back by officials after being checked out by the doctor.
Bout #5 Shane Madison defeated Donnie DiCaprio by disqualification for outside interference at 4:45 **Madison had his former friend and member of the Players Club in a heap of trouble. So of course Will Damon and Chris Parys hit the ring for a 3 on 1 beat down until the Canadian Outlaws came out to send the PC scattering.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
The Annual Awards for 2000 were announced, and Holiday and The Spinebusters were handed plaques in person by commissioner Greg Gagne. There were no incidents that arose.

Bout #6 North American Women's Title Match Jessica Judd defeated Stacey Lynn (/w Chris Lydon) by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 7:02 [Jessica Judd retained the North American Women's Title] **Automatic rematch for Lynn after she dropped the strap to Judd at the Anniversary show in a guitar on a pole match. Once again Judd's guitar comes into play, this time though it was not legal. Lydon and Lynn beat down the champ after the DQ.
Bout #7 RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday defeated Vincent Regliatti by pinfall after a top rope legdrop at 6:57 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Not a great vote of confidence for Regs when the bookers don't put his bout for the title as the main event. Holiday was in control for most of the bout and was in control when Regs' partner Eric Scott came down to distract the ref. The crowd though went nuts when The Road Warriors came down and started to lay in a beating on Scott. This distracted Regs who fell prey to an inverted DDT from Holiday and then his finisher.
Post-Match: Holiday left the ring for the Roadies who used it to continue the beat down on Scott and Regliatti until the "Great" Canadians managed to slip out of the ring to freedom. The Roadies then challenged the tag champ Spinebusters to show a spine and come out...but they did not. Off the air it was announced that the Roadies would get a shot at the tag belts as a dark match tonight following the televised main event.
Televised Main Event RCW Television Title Match - Taped Fists Match Al Hardamann defeated Stan Baker by pinfall after the Vertebreaker at 11:10 [Al Hardamann retained the RCW Television Title] **Another automatic rematch after Baker dropped the TV title to Hardamann at the anniversary show. The taped fists were said to favour Baker and his heart punch but Al had no problems with the added stipulation, which also meant that punches were legal (having no actual practical effect on the bout). After an initial flurry by Hardamann as he showed some toe to toe boxing skills, Baker bull rushed him and then took control of the bout. Baker controlled most of the bout but when he went for the heart punch Hardamann was able to twist and block, and then land a kidney shot. He followed up with more punches, and then came off the second buckle with a punch to the head. Both men were now busted open. Hardamann though ended the bout by hitting his traditional finish, ignoring the fact his fists were taped, but was able to do what he had been unable to do at the Anniversary show. Solid win for the new champ.

Dark Match following RAGE
Untelevised Main Event RCW Tag Team Title Match The Road Warriors: Hawk & Animal defeated The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers by disqualification for use of a foreign object (steel chair) at 9:26 [The Spinebusters retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **The champs had their moments in the bout for sure, but they were unable to slow the pace of the bout down to where they are most effective. The Warriors were able to keep the action going strong which favoured them as powerhouses and brawlers. Of note is that Paul Ellering was not at ringside for the Warriors, so his appearance at the anniversary show seems to be a special occasion. In the end instead of risking losing their belts the champs used a steel chair to intentionally get disqualified. Even with that they were thoroughly routed after the bout by the challengers, much to the delight of the crowd.
Breaking kayfabe; I will just be doing fairly summary level shows for the first 6 months or so of 2001 to fill in the gap. There will likely be about a 2 month dark period. A new look RCW returns in September with more detailed cards that were done back then in 2001. I think there is some good stuff starting in September and am eager to get to that point in time. On the main forum I have changed the name of the territory to just River City Wrestling. Originally it was going to undergo a couple of name changes. I have decided to retroactively modify those cards to keep the name of RCW consistent throughout.

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Chris Parys defeated Darren Dalton by pinfall after a Parysault at 7:43 **fairly even match but Parys is on a roll.
Bout #2 Wavell Starr & Eddie Mustang defeated Matt Fairlane & Ryan Price by pinfall when Starr pinned Price after a flying axhandle at 10:29 **the new attitude Native Sons (without Gene Swan anywhere in sight) took care of business.
Bout #3 Chrome defeated Zakk Wylde by pinfall after a release powerbomb at 4:21 **squash match by the huge Chrome.
Bout #4 "Total Destruction" Steve Riley defeated Adam Knight by pinfall after an Emerald Flowsion at 3:34 **squash match.
Post-Match Interview: Riley is interviewed, and says that the champions here are ducking him. Actually all the top guys are ducking him. This brings out Chrome who basically says the same thing. Greg Gagne comes out and says they will get their chance, next week. It will be Riley & Chrome taking on Holiday & Hardamann in tag team action.
Bout #5 Stacey Lynn & Chris Lydon defeated Jessica Judd & Christi Wolf by pinfall when Lydon pinned Judd after a slingshot suplex at 9:12 **After beating Wolf one on one last week, Lydon picks up the pinfall over the champ this week in a tag match.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
As usual highlights of the dark matches and interviews are shown.
Interview: Shane Madison hobbles to the ring, still recovering from being attacked by the Players Club last week. He is joined by the Canadian Outlaws Knight & Dalton. Madison says he was not cleared to wrestle this week but will be next week and wants a piece of all 3 members of the PC. The Outlaws though are not available as they have their own match next week against the Native Sons. Chris Parys comes out and says not to worry, Damon and DiCaprio couldn't be here tonight, they are resting in Vegas. They hurt their fists on Madison's face last week. Parys says Madison can bring whatever two losers he wants next week and the PC will beat them. Madison laughs, and says he doesn't need two friends, he is just going to bring one, and they will beat the PC in a handi-cap match. But they want a piece of all of them, so let's make it elimination style. Parys says Madison's brains have been scrambled but he agrees to the bout. As Parys walks away Madison calls him back to let him know who his partner will be next week. He comes in at more than 450 lbs, so yeah he only needs one partner, not two, that man is none other than King Kong Bundy!!! The crowd goes nuts for the announcement.
Bout #6 Sumu Hara defeated Tiger Khan by pinfall after a superkick at 6:43 **premiere of 6'0 242 lb Hara (Koti Kitahara not Ashura Hara). Two solid wrestlers.
Post-Match: Khan was the sore loser after the bout, offered a handshake, and then as Hara was leaving the ring attacked him. Thus assuring himself a rematch.
Bout #7 Road Warriors: Hawk & Animal defeated Great Canadians: Eric Scott & Vincent Regliatti by pinfall when Animal pinned Scott after the Doomsday device at 9:05 **The GC actually fared pretty well in the bout when they could slow it down, use quick tags, and double teams. For the most part though it just felt like biding time until the Warriors took over; which they did.
Post-Match: The Road Warriors throw out a challenge to the tag champions The Spineless ones to put the titles on the line next week. Last time of course the champs got themselves intentionally disqualified to keep their belts. Then the Warriors call out Heavyweight champion Sam Holiday. They thank Holiday for allowing them to invade his ring last week and take out the Great Canadians. To return the favour they are going to stay at ringside and watch his back in the next bout, in case either Chrome or Riley decide to try and get an early start on the tag match next week, since they know that Al Hardamann isn't in the building tonight.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday defeated Stan Baker by countout at 6:15 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **The Road Warriors stayed true to their word and watched Holiday's back. There was no sign of Chrome or Steve Riley. The bout was a brawl, not much in the way of scientific moves. A frustrated Baker tried to use a steel chair outside the ring but Road Warrior Animal was able to snatch it away from him. Baker knew better than to start a brawl with the Roadies, but he got distracted arguing with them long enough that he failed to get back into the ring to beat the count.

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Vincent Regliatti defeated Zakk Wylde by submission to the figure-four at 4:47 **glorified squash match
Bout #2 Non-Title Match Bryan Caruthers & Jerry Orth defeated Matt Fairlane & Ryan Price when Caruthers pinned Fairlane by pinfall after a spinebuster slam at 6:11 **the tag champs had very little problem dispatching their opponents.
Interview: The Spinebusters call the Road Warriors cowards, saying they were supposed to be here tonight but did not show. Greg Gagne came to the ring and told the Busters not to worry, the Roadies would be here next week and that title bout is set.
Bout #3 Tiger Khan defeated Sumu Hara by pinfall after a Tiger Driver at 8:15 **rematch. Solid ground game by both men. Khan used an undetected lowblow to set up the finisher.
Bout #4 Canadian Outlaws: Adam Knight & Darren Dalton defeated Native Sons: Wavell Starr & Eddie Mustang by pinfall when Knight pinned Mustang after a release powerbomb at 8:55 **even though the teams seemed to be evenly matched it was still considered a minor upset because the Native Sons seemed to be on a roll.
Bout #5 North American Women's Title Match Jessica Judd defeated Chris Lydon (/w Stacey Lynn) by pinfall after a swinging neckbreaker at 7:23 [Jessica Judd retained the North American Women's Title] **Lydon did all right but Judd took everything she gave and gave it right back at her. Lydon had control and went to whip Judd to the ropes, but the champ reversed it and Lynn reached in and tripped up Lydon. Of course with the reverse it wasn't sure if she thought she was going to trip up Judd or meant to trip up her friend Lydon for some reason. After the trip Judd nailed a running legdrop and then her finisher. After the bout Lynn and Lydon had a heated conversation.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
As always the show starts off with a review of the dark matches from earlier in the evening.
Bout #6 Elimination Handi-Cap Match Shane Madison & King Kong Bundy defeated Players Club: Chris Parys, Donnie DiCaprio, & Will Damon at 7:40 [King Kong Bundy pinned Donnie DiCaprio after an avalanche splash at 4:36] [King Kong Bundy pinned Will Damon after an avalanche splash at 6:37] [Chris Parys was disqualified for outside interference at 7:40] **Bundy dominated, and when Madison was tagged in he had no problems with the Players Club either. The end of the match though occured when former TV champion Stan Baker hit the ring for unknown reasons and attacked Bundy from behind with a wooden ax handle. Baker laid down a beating on Bundy and Madison before RCW officials could break it up.
Main Event Steve Riley & Chrome defeated Sam Holiday & Al Hardamann by pinfall when Riley pinned Hardamann after an Emerald Flowsion at 9:01 **a bit of an upset, but it does set up some top contenders for the titles where previously there was a void. The challengers cheated and risked DQ throughout the bout but the end was solid with Hardamann having been double teamed and worked over and Riley was able to put him away. While that was going on Chrome was outside the ring delivering a chokeslam to the Heavyweight champion Holiday. When Chrome realized what happened he seemed to be torn between being happy for the win and mad at allowing Riley to make the pin.

Dark Matches Before Rage
Opening Bout Ryan Price defeated Zakk Wylde by pinfall after a top rope hurancanrana at 7:42 **two young high flyers, both fan favourites, who made the most of their opportunity to spotlight their abilities.
Bout #2 Tiger Khan defeated Matt Fairlane by pinfall after a Tiger Bomb at 5:56 **glorified squash match
Bout #3 Great Canadians: Eric Scott & Vincent Regliatti defeated Canadian Outlaws: Adam Knight & Darren Dalton by submission when Regliatti submitted Dalton with the figure four at 10:35 **solid tag match but the GC are just a little more skilled, and don't hesitate to cheat whenever possible. They want to get back into the tag title picture.
Bout #4 Derek St. Holmes, ESQ defeated Sumu Hara by pinfall after a falling inverted DDT (and outside interference) at 6:07 **Premiere of St. Holmes, a thin, arrogant looking Mommy's boy with some skills but limited physical presence. He tried to play mind games with Hara but it didn't take the no nonsense Japanese wrestler long to just ground Holmes and take over. However, Hara's nemesis in his short stint so far in RCW, Tiger Khan came down to ringside. Khan was able to distract Hara, and then later he had a steel chair ready, leaning up against the ring apron, and when Holmes distracted the ref Khan baited Hara to come over, and then he nailed him with the steel chair.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Highlights of the Dark Matches start the show.
Bout #5 Will Damon and Donnie DiCaprio Banned from the Building Shane Madison & King Kong Bundy defeated Chris Parys & Stan Baker by pinfall when Bundy pinned Parys after an avalanche splash at 5:05 **Bundy got to finish off Parys but didn't really get his revenge against Baker who chickened out rather than face the legend.
Bout #6 RCW Television Title Match "Total Destruction" Steve Riley defeated Al Hardamann by disqualification for use of a foreign object (steel chair) at 8:47 [Al Hardamann retained the RCW Television Title] **Riley was a legitimate threat to Hardamann's title, and in fact the champ seemed like the underdog throughout the bout. When the match spilled outside Riley elevated the level of violence with a spear into the guardrail, and then smashing him head first off the announce table. As Riley was going back into the ring Hardamann grabbed a steel chair and ~waffled~ Riley over the back. The fans cheered that but if he had been the heel it would have been seen as an intentional DQ to maybe save his belt. The two continued to brawl inside the ring after the referee Jennifer Greaves called for the DQ.
Main Event RCW Tag Team Title Match The Road Warriors: Hawk & Animal defeated The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers by pinfall when Animal pinned Caruthers after the Doomsday device at 10:15 [The Road Warriors win the RCW Tag Team Titles] **Another chapter in this feud, and a rare (as of late) title change. The match went back and forth and the Busters proved they were not an easy opponent. In fact they had control of the bout when Caruthers had Animal's arms held behind his back as Orth came off the top buckle for an elbowsmash. But Animal moved out of the way and Orth nailed his partner. The fans were on their feet as the Roadies tossed Orth over the top rope and nailed Caruthers with their finisher to take the belts. This will be the Road Warriors' second title reign, and ends The Spinebusters third run with the belts. It is the 78th title reign in the over 21 year history of the belts.

River City Wrestling #865 February 24, 2001 Omaha, Nebraska
We are back after a one week hiatus due to a TV scheduling conflict.
Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Ryan Price defeated Matt Fairlane after a top rope hurancanrana at 8:01 **Two straight weeks with opening bouts featuring face vs face youngsters, and the second straight victory for Price.
Bout #2 Derek St. Holmes, Esq & Tiger Khan defeated Sumu Hara & Zakk Wylde by pinfall when Khan pinned Wylde after a Tiger Driver at 8:35 **so the blow off match in the Khan-Hara mini-feud is a tag match? St. Holmes is not very good, but he is sneaky, and Wylde was the weak link in this bout.
Bout #3 Six-Man Tag Match Players Club: Will Damon, Donnie DiCaprio & Chris Parys defeated Shane Madison, Adam Knight & Darren Dalton by pinfall when Donnie DiCaprio pinned Adam Knight after a tornado DDT at 10:30 **decent enough bout as everyone had a turn to shine in this one. In the end the PC went over giving them a much needed victory. Madison didn't look as dominate without Bundy as a partner.
Bout #4 The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bran Caruthers defeated Great Canadians: Eric Scott & Vincent Regliatti by pinfall when Orth pinned Scott after a top rope kneedrop at 9:58 **former champs wait for their rematch against the Road Warriors, and come up with the victory in this heel vs heel match. It was sold that if the GC won they would also get a title shot but of course that did not come to pass and now the GC must go back to the starting board.
Bout #5 North American Women's Title Match Jessica Judd defeated Stacey Lynn and Chris Lydon by pinfall when Judd pinned Lynn after a swinging neckbreaker at 7:15 [Jessica Judd retained the North American Women's Title] **the story of this bout was the final disintegration in the alliance between Lynn and Lydon. The two turned on each other a couple times during the match and Lynn ended up costing Lydon the win by breaking up a sure pinfall. After the bout the fight between the two blondes continued as Judd got the hell out of dodge with her strap.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
As usual RAGE opens with highlights from the dark matches earlier in the night.
Bout #6 Stan Baker and King Kong Bundy battled to a no-contest at 5:31 **brawl that went outside the ring and was thrown out. Nothing was settled.
Bout #7 RCW Television Title Match Al Hardamann defeated "Total Destruction" Steve Riley by countout at 7:23 [Al Hardamann retained the RCW Television Title] **Riley controlled early and has looked dominant since arriving in RCW at last year's anniversary show. Hardamann took control of the bout when it spilled outside, but then Riley quickly took over once again inside. Hardamann was having a real tough time. Would he repeat last time when he basically got himself disqualified to keep his title even though he is a face? Coming off the ropes both men went for a cross body block and smashed their knees together. As Riley laid under the bottom ring rope, Hardamann was able to use his good leg to kick him out of the ring. Referee Jennifer Greaves applied the 10 count to Hardamann inside the ring to get up, and to Riley outside the ring to get back inside. The champ managed to get to his feet at the count of 8, holding onto the ropes, but Riley could not recover and took the countout. Both men had to be helped to the back and neither was putting weight on their banged up leg.
Televised Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday defeated Chrome by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 10:48 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Two big men clash. While Chrome is bigger (6'9 340) than Holiday (6'9 285), Holiday is by far the more experienced and better grappler. Eventually Chrome got frustrated that he couldn't keep the champ down and resorted to using the ring bell which caused referee Buddy Lane to call for the DQ.
Post-Match: Chrome laid in a bit of a beat down on the champ, and with Hardamann hobbled, and no Road Warriors on site tonight it took the combined efforts of the dressing room emptying to save the champ. Both dressing rooms emptied as we,

Dark Match After RAGE
Untelevised Main Event 18-Man Over the Top Battle Royale King Kong Bundy won an 18-Man Battle Royale last eliminating Stan Baker at 15:15 **originally this was to be a 20-man battle royale. It sent the fans home happy after a couple less than satisfactory match endings. Al Hardamann and Steve Riley were originally scheduled to participate but could not go after their knee to knee collision. Chrome was banned from taking their place because of his actions at the end of the previous match. **others eliminated of course were wrestlers appearing earlier tonight; Ryan Price, Matt Fairlane, Derek St. Holmes, Tiger Khan, Sumu Hara, Zakk Wylde, Donnie DiCaprio, Will Damon, Chris Parys, Shane Madison, Adam Knight, Darren Dalton, Jerry Orth, Bryan Caruthers, Eric Scott, and Vincent Regliatti.

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Eric Scott defeated Matt Fairlane by pinfall after a flying kneesmash at 6:15 **Scot picks up a much needed victory.
Bout #2 "Venom" Paul Diamond defeated Zakk Wylde by pinfall after a superkick at 4:04 **Paul Diamond returns to RCW this time wth a new look "Venom", and he is not a very nice guy.
Bout #3 Sumu Hara defeated Will Damon by pinfall after a bridging back dragon suplex at 7:22 **Solid win for Hara over one of the members of the Players Club.
Bout #4 Tiger Khan (/w Derek St. Holmes) defeated Ryan Price by pinfall after a Tiger Driver (and outside interference) at 9:40 **St. Holmes came out with Khan, but also praised Price, and offered to manage him. Price declined and had some discourteous words for Holmes and Khan. Price had been on a bit of a roll lately with two straight curtain jerker victories. He looked like he might make it three, but a well timed trip by St. Holmes was all the advantage Khan needed to finish him off.
Bout #5 Stan Baker defeated Shane Madison by pinfall after a heart punch at 8:28 **Interesting match up here and the two had some decent old school chemistry. The match got vicious toward the end and that ended up favouring Baker. Big win for Baker not only picking up the duke, but also being able to deploy his dreaded finisher again after facing a couple opponents who had managed to neutralize the move.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
As always the show begins with highlights of the dark matches from earlier tonight.
Bout #6 Chris Lydon defeated Stacey Lynn by disqualification for failure to follow referee instructions at 5:26 **former friends, and it has become obvious that Lynn thought Lydon was just her second and friend, and became jealous when Lydon got a title shot at Jessica Judd. This was a catfight. Referee Shiela Bloom disqualified Lynn when she kept smashing Lydon's head off the mat and ignored the five count. After the bout referee Jennifer Greaves joined Bloom to try and separate the two combatants.
Bout #7 Non-Title Match Chrome defeated Al Hardamann by submission to the STF at 9:31 **Interesting set up for this bout. Last week of course Hardamann had his hands full with Steve Riley, and the match ended after the two collided knee to knee. We have been told that Steve Riley suffered an injury in that bout and will be out for a while. Then in the next bout Chrome was disqualified against Sam Holiday in their Heavyweight title match for using a steel chair, and then continued to beat down the champ after the bell. Holiday's friend Hardamann felt bad that he couldn't be there to watch his buddy's back because he was getting his knee worked on. Hardamann is not 100% but he says he's good enough to take out a green, wannabe goof like Chrome. However, Greg Gagne said this would be a non-title bout as he didn't want to reward Chrome after the way he acted last week. Sure enough Hardamann came out to exact revenge and had the big man reeling and rocking in and out of the ring. However, eventually Chrome caught Hardamann when he was going for a flying forearm and turned it into a tilt-a-whirl slam. The last half of this bout then pretty much belonged to Chrome, although Hardamann did manage a few short comebacks. Hardamann wisely tapped out according to Colour Commentator Linley Tolbert, as he can't get banged up any more before having to defend his title again. Tolbert suggests that if the title was on the line this match would still be going on. That comment though did not sit well with Chrome as he passed by, and the big man attacked Tolbert with a choke slam, and then locked on the STF until Hardamann and security broke it up. Remember Tolbert is no slouch, being a former RCW Heavyweight champion as well as South African Wrestling Heavyweight champion.
Main Event RCW Tag Team Title Match The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers defeated The Road Warriors: Hawk & Animal by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 8:09 [The Road Warriors retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **Instead of their usual tactic of two on one's, distractions, cutting the ring in half etc, the Busters used a slightly different tactic to try and get their belts back; walking a thin line to a DQ. Orth used his unwrapped wrist tape to choke, and Caruthers almost won the bout for the former champs by using a pair of brass knux on Animal; Hawk was forced to make the save. When the match spilled outside and Animal was completely busted open from the knux the champions went nuts, holding nothing back. They absolutely battered the challengers with steel chairs, much to the appreciation of the fans. However, referee Buddy Lane did not see it as justice and disqualified the champs.
Post-Match: A few RCW officials tried to come to the rescue including Shiela Bloom, Jennifer Greaves, and Vic Gate but they were all forcibly moved out of the way. No one came from the face locker room to help out the Busters of course, and a few guys came out of the heel dressing room, took one look at the mayhem and went back to the showers. Even Commissioner Greg Gagne came out but Animal just grabbed him by the head and tossed him into the crowd. Finally the 'busters were able to get enough people in the way, and both of them now wearing the proverbial crimson mask, managed to stagger to the back and out of trouble.

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Eric Scott defeated Darren Dalton by pinfall after a Northern lights suplex bridge at 8:06 **Scott is slowly building his resume back up.
Bout #2 "Venom" Paul Diamond defeated Adam Knight by pinfall after a superkick at 5:09 **second straight win for the native of Thunder Bay Ontario as he tries to ascend the pecking order here in RCW with his new look and attitude.
Bout #3 #1 Contenders Match for the TV Title Vincent Regliatti and Shane Madison battled to a no-contest at 6:22 **nothing was settled as neither man would budge an inch and the brawl could not be contained inside the ring.
Bout #4 Sumu Hara & Ryan Price defeated Tiger Khan & Derek St. Holmes, Esq by pinfall when Hara pinned Holmes after a superkick at 9:24 **solid enough match but Holmes really doesn't have much in ring talent, but might make a decent manager.
Promo: Joe Aiello comes inside the ring to interview a newcomer to RCW, Allison Corino. He introduces her to the crowd as their Canadian cousin, just an hour and a half up the road in Winnipeg. Yes she is the sister of Steve Corino. The crowd gives the youngster some polite applause. Corino talks briefly about breaking into the business after becoming friends with Francine from ECW. Her brother Steve as well as Rapid Fire Maldonado have helped train her. She is used to the rough stuff after playing hockey for years against the boys, and that also taught her how to stand up for herself in a dressing room. Fans may know her as Allison Danger from IWA, and IWF, but now she feels the need to compete closer to home. Next week in Winnipeg she will make her in-ring debut.
Promo: Commissioner Greg Gagne then comes to the ring. He says next week's card will have a bit of extra intensity and incentive to it than a normal week. After what happened last week RCW has no choice but to suspend the Road Warriors for their atrocities and for shoving their officials. Because they are being suspended indefinitely, The Road Warriors are also stripped of the tag team titles. So next week a special 8 team tournament will be held for the tag titles, and yes the Spinebusters will compete. We will be looking to bring in teams from outside RCW as well, so the exact number of teams and format may change from the simple 8; it is still a work in progress, and they are busy working the phones. Also, earlier tonight was supposed to be a #1 contender bout for a shot at Al Hardamann's TV title, but the two men showed no level of sportsmanship or self-control. There is way too much of that going on these days in RCW and in pro wrestling in general. So they have lost their chance to qualify for that match. However, two men impressed him earlier tonight in their victories; Paul Diamond and Sumu Hara. So if the crowd will indulge him they will have one extra added match tonight; next; that will be the #1 contender bout between Diamond and Hara. The winner will get a TV title shot on the 24th.
Bout #5 #1 Contenders TV Title Match "Venom" Paul Diamond defeated Sumu Hara by pinfall after a top rope twisting DDT at 6:58 **yes the story of this match was a bit of fatigue from both men but more so from Hara. Also, each man knew the other was fond of using the superkick and each managed to avoid the move on two occasions. The finish came when Hara was going for a superplex but Diamond countered by bringing him to the mat with a DDT.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
The show begins with highlights from the dark matches and interviews from earlier tonight.
Interview: The Great Canadians come to the ring and Eric Scott & Vincent Regliatti are pissed off. Regliatti is not happy that his chance at the TV title was taken away by Gagne, and Scott isn't happy that Diamond and Hara got the nod in the replacement match when he had also won his bout earlier in the night. They say they better be in the tag tournament next week and they will take home the belts, because nobody in RCW can touch them. New entrance music plays "Ice 9" by Joe Satriani plays, and we have newcomers to River City Wrestling; The Fabulous Malenkos; Joe & Stan Malenko. They say the GC are two individuals and not a tag team and they will prove it at the tournament. However, next they have a match with the Players Club.
Bout #6 The Fabulous Malenkos: Joe & Stan Malenko defeated The Players Club: Will Damon & Donnie DiCaprio by disqualfication for not following referee instructions at 8:50 **Joe is getting up there in age, now 46 years old, and Stan looks to be a cousin (maybe kayfabe) a bit younger, but not as talented. However the two worked a solid if not exciting wrestling game like the Patriarch Boris or the more famous Dean Malenko. Everything their opponents tried to cheat and steal victory was eventually turned around by the newcomers. Joe had Damon in the Texas Cloverleaf when not only did DiCaprio decide to break it up (his second time doing so) but then refused to leave the ring. Stan came in to even the odds, and referee Shiela Bloom threw out the bout but instead of making it a no-contest she showed some smarts and DQ'd the perpetrators.
Post-Match: The Great Canadians joined the Players Club in a post-match beat down on the Malenkos until RCW officials could break it up.
Bout #7 Strap Match Stacey Lynn defeated Chris Lydon in a strap match at 6:28 **blow off from their mini-feud after Lydon surprised with a victory last week. Hard fought bout but Lynn was able to drag her opponent around the ring and tap all four corners for the win.
Post-Match: Instead of allowing it to end Lynn pushed away referee Jennifer Greaves and kept attacking Lydon. Coincidently Allison Corino had been invited down to do guest commentary by Joe Aiello since Linley Tolbert was absent, getting ready for the main event. So Corino was able to come to Lydon's rescue getting into a brawl with Lynn.
Pre-Match: After what transpired the last couple weeks, tonight's main event was scheduled to be a tag team match pitting Sam Holiday & Al Hardamann against Chrome & Stan Baker. However, Chrome had baited retired wrestler, now commentator, Linley Tolbert into taking Hardamann's place. Holiday doesn't really seem to trust Tolbert though as the man worked mostly as a heel during his years in the ring, and takes a bit of that bent with him to the announce table. Al Hardamann was allowed to second them though and was keeping a close eye on Tolbert.
Main Event Chrome & Stan Baker defeated Sam Holiday & Linley Tolbert (/w Al Hardamann) by submission when Chrome submitted Tolbert with the STF at 10:10 **Holiday carried most of the bout. Since Tolbert retired fairly young one would have to assume it was injury driven so he didn't show too much in the ring. However, he stuck in the bout and was loyal to Holiday. The end occurred when Baker had been playing Ricky Morton for several minutes but managed to come out of the buckles and nail his heart punch on Tolbert who dropped like a rock. Instead of going for a pin, Baker only had enough energy to crawl over to his partner and tag in Chrome. The big man nailed a shoulderbreaker, and then put the STF on Tolbert who quickly tapped out. Al Hardamann hit the ring after the bout to make sure there were no post match liberties taken.

River City Wrestling #868 March 17, 2001 Winnipeg, Manitoba
St. Patrick's Day Shenanigans
Tonight we have a tournament for the vacant RCW Tag Team titles, that were stripped from the Road Warriors who were also suspended when they went crazy attacking the Spinebusters, but also manhandled several RCW Officials.
Originally it was scheduled to be an 8 team tournament but it has been expanded to 10 teams; so the bottom ranking 3 teams will have a preliminary triangle match with the winner advancing to the top 8.
Dark Matches Before Rage
Opening Bout Triangle Match - Winner Receives Spot in the Tag Team Tournament Opening Bout Adam Knight & Darren Dalton defeated Ryan Price & Matt Fairlane and Tiger Khan & Derek St. Holmes, Esq by pinfall when Knight pinned Fairlane after a release powerbomb at 8:09 **big win for the Canadian Outlaws.
Bout #2 Tag Team Tournament Quarter-Final The Extremists: Ace Darling & Devon Storm defeated Players Club: Will Damon & Donnie DiCaprio (/w Chris Parys) by pinfall when Storm pinned DiCaprio after a missile dropkick at 6:51 **former tag champions The Extremists returned again to RCW and were the much better team, even with the aid of Parys at ringside for the PC
Bout #3 Tag Team Tournament Quarter-Final The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers defeated Sam Holiday & Al Hardamann (/w Linley Tolbert) by pinfall when Caruthers pinned Hardamann after hitting him into an exposed turnbuckle at 9:40 **okay quite a bit going on in this one. First off this is a powerful draw with the former champs (and odds on favourites to win) facing off against probably the biggest wild card in the tournament, the Heavyweight champ and the TV champ. Tolbert left the announce table to second his new found friends (who obviously still don't trust him). His spot at the announce table was taken by former RCW Heavyweight champion Steve Corino who was there to do colour, talk about his sister Allison arriving in RCW, and what he has been up to in ECW and other places. At one point Chrome came out to ringside to menace Holiday and Hardamann, and when Tolbert tried to stand up to the monster he was run into the ring post. This brought Corino to Tolbert's aid and he went toe to toe with the giant. While all this was going on Jerry Orth was quietly exposing the turnbuckle. The action outside the ring including Sam Holiday leaving the apron to check on things was just the distraction the 'busters needed to use the exposed turnbuckle to pick up the win.
Post-Match: Steve Corino challenged Chrome to a Hardcore Rules match tonight. That match will happen as an untelevised dark match main event!
Bout #4 Tag Team Tournament Quarter-Final Joe & Stan Malenko defeated Eric Scott & Vincent Regliatti by disqualification for use of a foreign object when Regliatti hit Stan with a steel chair at 6:44 **well the Fabulous Malenkos move on in the tournament but Stan looked pretty banged up.
Bout #5 Tag Team Tournament Quarter-Final Team Extreme: Kit Carson & Khris Germany defeated Adam Knight & Darren Dalton by pinfall when Germany pinned Knight after a Doomsday device at 8:25 **the former NWA World Tag champions make another appearance in RCW, and perhaps make a statement using the Road Warriors' finisher to win their first round match.
Bout #6 Allison Corino and Stacey Lynn battled to a no-contest at 5:36 **the in ring premiere in RCW of Allison Corino (aka Allison Danger), and we only got a teasing of her developing in ring ability and she looks quite proficient in her wrestling skills. She is probably the most skilled wrestler already in RCW's women's division. Lynn though used a rake of the eyes to turn things around when her former friend Chris Lydon hit the ring with a steel chair (the weapon of choice here in RCW). Lynn turned around and raised her hands in front of her face for protection as referee Jennifer Greaves called for the bell...but, Lydon bypassed Lynn and ~waffled~ Corino! Lynn and Lydon shared a brief hug while Greaves got rid of the chair, and then the two blondes started to stomp away at the newcomer. Finally, Allison's brother Steve Corino came to the ring and the girls scattered.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Bout #7 Tag Team Tournament Semi-Final The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers defeated The Extremists: Ace Darling & Devon Storm by countout at 6:01 **match between former RCW Tag champions. Storm wrecked himself after Orth moved out of the way of a suicida plancha and was counted out.
Bout #8 Tag Team Tournament Semi-Final Joe & Stan Malenko defeated Team Extreme: Kit Carson & Khris Germany by submission when Joe submitted Carson to the Texas cloverleaf at 7:47 **very even match, but the Malenkos are technicians, while Extreme are brawlers. So when referee Shiela Bloom insisted on law and order being kept it heavily favoured the Malenkos.
Special Hall of Fame Announcement River City Wrestling Hall of Fame committee members, Jim Brunzell, Tawney England, Stan Mullen, The Destroyer, Chris Lyon, and Mike Valiant are all on hand and in the ring as the spokesman Brunzell makes the announcement. This year's inductee is a legend in the wrestling world, having succeeded the great Bruno Sammartino as the heir apparent to the WWWF championship and pretty much carried the company between the Sammartino era and the Hulk Hogan era (the mention of Hogan brings jeers from the crowd). He first appeared in RCW in July of 1984, and won the Heavyweight title in October 1985 defeating Jerry Blackwell. He soon lost the title to fellow Hall of Famer Dr. D David Schultz but then won it back from him in 1986, holding it for an impressive 6 months. He lost it again to another fellow Hall of Famer Steve Disalvo. He was awarded RCW's wrestler of the year in 1986, the same year his feud with Schultz garnered them Feud of the Year. But perhaps his most memorable contributions to RCW came at Wrestling Summit 2 in July of 1984 when he lost by countout to Harley Race, and then again at Wrestling Summit 3 in July of 1986 when he defeated Bruno Sammartino; both those bouts won RCW's match of the year, and both were considered "Dream Matches" by fans all over the world. In April we will have a special ceremony on RAGE to induct Mr. Bob Backlund as the 14th member of the River City Wrestling Hall of Fame!
Televised Main Event Tag Team Tournament Final For the Vacant River City Wrestling Tag Team Titles The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers defeated Joe & Stan Malenko by pinfall when Orth pinned Joe after a top rope kneedrop at 16:43 [The Spinebusters win the RCW Tag Team Titles] **Due to time this match was heavily edited for television. Only about six minutes of the bout was able to be shown. There was a long feeling out process between the two teams which helped the fans settle into this being more of a PPV or house show style show than a TV match. Both teams are technically sound, wrestle old school, and are not afraid to risk "boring" chants from the crowd as a trade off to wear down their opponents. The Malenkos frustrated the Spinebusters early by having a counter for everything they tried. Than Jerry Orth played Ricky Morton for about 5 minutes of constant beating. The Busters though were able to mount a comeback and turned the tables with quick tags, working the double teams on the tags, cutting the ring in half, etc. The end came after Joe was trying to put Caruthers into the Texas Cloverleaf and Orth was able to run in and clothesline him off. Referee Buddy Lane was distracted having to put Stan out of the ring which allowed a quick double team with each buster hitting their finisher. Caruthers sent Joe to the ropes and then nailed him with his spinebuster. He left Joe lying in the perfect spot, and Orth was already perched on the top rope, and came off with his kneedrop to pick up the win and the titles. This will begin the Spinebusters 4th title reign. They have been very prolific at winning the belts but so far have not had long title reigns. This will be the 79th reign in the title lineage, and the Spinebusters are now tied for the most runs with The Extremists: Ace Darling/Devon Storm and Destruction Crew: Mike Enos/Wayne Bloom who have also had 4 title reigns each. FADE TO BLACK
Untelevised Main Event Hardcore Rules Match Chrome defeated Steve Corino by submission to the STF at 9:46 **Despite giving away a lot of size Corino is an expert in hardcore matches and this was an even fight with both men drawing blood. However, it was not a fair fight as the women got involved as the match spent as much time out of the ring as in. First Stacey Lynn and Chris Lydon attacked Corino to aid Chrome, and then Allison Corino came to her brother's aid. However, the damage had already been done and Chrome nailed a chokeslam outside the ring putting Corino through a table, and then locked on the STF. Corino didn't actually submit but he was unresponsive, knocked out from going through the table, so referee Jennifer Greaves had to call for the bell.

River City Wrestling #869 March 24, 2001 Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba
A bit of a smaller venue and smaller production this week following in the footsteps of a big card last week.
Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Matt Fairlane defeated Derek St. Holmes, Esq by pinfall after a somersault splash at 8:46 **good opener to get some heat going with the crowd, featuring a young earnest baby face over coming a cheating, whiny, heel.
Bout #2 Tiger Khan defeated Ryan Price by pinfall after the Tiger Driver at 7:30 **Khan didn't have, and didn't need Holmes in his corner to win this rematch. He also didn't need to cheat this time.
Bout #3 Vincent Regliatti defeated Shane Madison by submission to the figure-four at 10:23 **statement match for former RCW champion Regliatti who seemed intent on either winning by damaging his opponent or getting himself disqualified in the process. He really worked on the leg of Madison the whole match including using the ring post for a figure-four earlier to set up the legal finisher. Madison needed help to leave the ring after the bout.
Bout #4 Canadian Outlaws: Adam Knight & Darren Dalton defeated Players Club: Donnie DiCaprio & Will Damon by pinfall when Knight pinned DiCaprio after a release powerbomb at 8:55 **a bit of an upset here. Fairly evenly matched teams but overall the PC seem to be a notch above, but not tonight.
Pre-Match: Originally this was billed as Allison Corino vs Stacey Lynn. Lynn came out with her "friend again" Chris Lydon to explain that yes the heat between them was real, and they had some good battles. However at the end of the day they know they work better together than apart. Corino comes out and says she wants a piece of both of them, not just Lynn, and has herself a tag partner. The heels agree to the match, site unseen and then regret it when "Girls With Guitars" plays and North American Women's champion Jessica Judd comes to the ring as Corino's surprise partner.
Bout #5 Allison Corino & Jessica Judd defeated Stacey Lynn & Chris Lydon by pinfall when Corino pinned Lydon after a springboard bulldog at 10:39 **despite being a newcomer Corino controlled the ring, showing that she is the most technically sound of all the women in the division. Even Judd looked a bit weary of her when she was celebrating the victory. In fact the two kind of had a weird stare down after the bout before Judd gave her the nod, and the two shook hands.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
The show of course begins with highlights of the action from earlier in the night, the dark show matches and interview.
RCW then chooses to play last week's tag match final in its entirety, as they were only able to show about a six minute edited version last week.
Replay match from March 17, 2001 Tag Team Tournament Final For the Vacant River City Wrestling Tag Team Titles The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers defeated Joe & Stan Malenko by pinfall when Orth pinned Joe after a top rope kneedrop at 16:43 [The Spinebusters win the RCW Tag Team Titles] **Due to time this match was heavily edited for television. Caruthers sent Joe to the ropes and then nailed him with his spinebuster. He left Joe lying in the perfect spot, and Orth was already perched on the top rope, and came off with his kneedrop to pick up the win and the titles.
Televised Main Event RCW Television Title Match Al Hardamann defeated "Venom" Paul Diamond by disqualification for abuse of official at 7:07 [Al Hardamann retained the RCW Television Title] **fairly even match between two guys who wrestle a similar style. Both men managed to kick out after being hit with DDT's. Diamond managed to avoid getting locked in for the vertebreaker. He nailed a superkick, covered, put his feet on the middle strand for extra leverage, 1, 2, caught by referee Jennifer Greaves who called for the break. Diamond was not happy about that and jawed with Greaves. He then went after Hardamann who had a hold of the ropes, so Greaves got between them for the break. Diamond lost his temper and pushed Greaves to the mat. He then nailed a tornado DDT and Hardamann was completely knocked out. Diamond covered for what would have been at least a Bundy count, but Greaves called for the DQ. Diamond was smart enough not to push his luck any further, as we
FADE TO BLACK
Untelevised Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday defeated Chrome by pinfall after a top rope legdrop at 9:13 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **basic storyline. The champ came out all vim and vigour, but then Chrome used some cheating to turn things around, and then kept control with his massive power. Holiday made a spirited comeback. Chrome decided to use a steel chair. This probably would have got him disqualified by referee Buddy Lane, but then Linley Tolbert hit the ring, and grabbed the chair out of the hands of Chrome from behind. Chrome slugged Tolbert knocking him out of the ring, but by now Holiday was able to attack the challenger driving him into the corner buckle. He followed up with a belly to back suplex, a side slam, and then came off the top with his finisher. The fans went home happy.

River City Wrestling #870 March 31, 2001 Green Bay, Wisconsin
Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Chris Parys defeated Zakk Wylde by pinfall after a Parysault at 7:32 **decent opener
Bout #2 Shane Madison defeated Eric Scott by pinfall after a Kamikaze at 5:26 **shorter bout. Although Madison lost to Regliatti last week he managed to beat his Great Canadian tag partner this week.
Bout #3 Stan Baker defeated Sumu Hara by pinfall after a heartpunch at 7:05 **Baker is still a top level competitor in RCW.
Bout #4 Tiger Khan defeated Matt Fairlane by pinfall after a Tiger Driver at 8:27 **pretty good bout with both men getting their share of the action. Again though Khan won without the help of Derek St. Holmes.
Bout #5 RCW Tag Team Title Match The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers defeated The Great Canadians: Adam Knight & Darren Dalton by pinfall when Orth pinned Dalton after a top rope kneedrop at 10:46 [The Spinebusters retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **One supposes that the Outlaws got the title shot after beating the Players Club last week, but not sure that anyone actually expected a title change here.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Bout #6 Allison Corino (/w Jessica Judd) defeated Stacey Lynn (/w Chris Lydon) by pinfall after a springboard bulldog at 7:08 **JJ was forced to neutralize Lydon which allowed Corino to pick up the win.
Bout #7 RCW Television Title Match Al Hardamann defeated "Venom" Paul Diamond by pinfall after a vertebreaker at 8:31 [Al Hardamann retained the RCW Television Title] **Diamond is a game competitor, but Hardamann won clean to keep the belt.
Main Event Special Guest Referee: Linley Tolbert RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday defeated Chrome by pinfall after a top rope leg drop at 10:12 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Everyone seemed to wait for the inevitable, a Linley Tolbert heel turn. It never happened. This match was a brawl inside and outside the ring, and Tolbert let them go at it, but kept them honest, taking steel chairs away from both men. Inside tempers flared between Chrome and Tolbert often, and at one point Tolbert pushed Chrome away from Holiday to force a break. The end came when Holiday countered a chokeslam with a Russian legsweep. Holiday showed off his strength with a hanging vertical suplex on the big man, and then two running legdrops before going to the top to nail his finisher. Holiday and Tolbert shook hands after the bout as we,

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Raymond Bingham (/w Bob Backlund) defeated Zakk Wylde by pinfall after a Northern Lights suplex at 5:17 **Backlund who is getting inducted into the Hall of Fame later tonight brought a new protege to the ring for his RCW premiere, and worked his corner. Bingham is an athletic looking guy at 6'2 235 lbs, and hails from Montreal, Quebec. Even though he went against a fellow face tonight, this was skill against skill and Bingham is a typical howdy doody babyface in Backlund's mold.
Bout #2 "Venom" Paul Diamond defeated Darren Dalton by pinfall after a superkick at 6:12 **another fairly short bout.
Bout #3 Stan Baker defeated Adam Knight by pinfall after a heart punch at 7:56 **the other half of the Canadian Outlaws faired no better than Dalton. Knight though did give Baker a lot of trouble in this battle of the big men.
Bout #4 Great Canadians: Eric Scott & Vincent Regliatti defeated Matt Fairlane & Ryan Price by submission when Regliatti submitted Price to the figure-four at 6:23 **a glorified squash match and three straight victories for heels.
Bout #5 RCW Television Title Match Al Hardamann defeated Tiger Khan by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 8:44 [Al Hardamann retained the RCW Television Title] **Although Khan is the heel, he is also the superior technical wrestler to the champ. So Khan did his best to keep this match clean, using tight holds, chokes etc only when the ref couldn't see. He frustrated Hardamann and made the champ look like the heel, and even had referee Buddy Lane spitting mad at Hardamann. However, eventually that broke down, and outside the ring Khan used a steel chair on the champ and got himself disqualfied. Khan was not happy with himself after the bout and his lack of discipline.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Rage of course begins with highlights from the dark matches earlier tonight.
Special Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony of Bob Backlund Commissioner Greg Gagne is joined by RCW Hall of Famers Jim Brunzell, Baron von Raschke, Chris Lyon, and Marty Goldstein in the ring for an induction ceremony of Bob Backlund. As usual in RCW it goes down without a hitch or trouble. Bob Backlund first appeared in RCW in July of 1984, and won the Heavyweight title in October 1985 defeating Jerry Blackwell. Mr. Bob Backlund is the 14th member of the River City Wrestling Hall of Fame!! Backlund gives a short acceptance speech where he thanks the officials like Goldstein, his good Minnesota friends like Brunzell, and the fans. He also makes sure to mention the young up and comers like Raymond Bingham who make this sport so much fun to watch.
Bout #6 North American Women's Title Match Allison Corino defeated Jessica Judd by countout at 9:07 [Jessica Judd retained the North American Women's Title] **very good match for the women's division with Corino carrying the action. Both women wrestled as faces, and while tempers flared it stayed controlled. In the end instinct took over and Corino rolled into the ring to beat a 10 count, but then immediately regretted it as it took away her chance to get the title. The match began and ended with a handshake. Corino will likely soon get a rematch.
Televised Main Event RCW Tag Team Title Match Texas Tornado Rules The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers defeated Joe & Stan Malenko by pinfall when Orth pinned Stan after a spiked piledriver at 10:51 [The Spinebusters retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **Texas tornado rules is each man is legal. While the match is technically not a no DQ no countout there is much more leniency in the bout than normal. RCW also used two referees for this bout, Buddy Lane and Shiela Bloom, so when the 4 paired off if there was at least one pair outside the ring than Bloom was there to police the action. In the end the Busters used a drop toe hold on Joe to drive him head first into the ringsteps. Stan made the mistake of looking in on Joe, and fell victim to a sneak attack. The tag champs took the bout back inside and hit the double team finisher while Joe was finally starting to stir outside (and was now wearing the proverbial crimson mask). Solid win for the champs!

Untelevised Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday defeated Chrome by pinfall after a top rope leg drop at 13:10 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title Match] **clean win for the champ although Chrome had another good showing. This sent the fans home happy.

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Max Pain defeated Ryan Price by pinfall after a Death Valley Driver at 4:41 **dominating premiere by the big newcomer.
Bout #2 Stan Baker defeated Zakk Wylde by pinfall after a heart punch at 4:03 **squash match.
Bout #3 Raymond Bingham defeated Derek St. Holmes by pinfall after a Northern lights suplex at 7:35 **second straight win for Bingham. The only reason this bout went longer then the previous two was that St. Holmes went to the Larry Zbyszko school of match pacing.
Post-Match: After the bout, for no apparent reason, Stan Baker returned to the ring and beat the hell out of Raymond Bingham. Later he would say on the mic that Bingham should still be in school, and that its not right that he gets matches further up the card than him just because Bob Backlund pushed for him. He says Bingham is a boy competing against men.
Bout #4 Shane Madison defeated Chris Parys by submission to the figure-four at 10:09 **two good workers both in ring and psychology. We've seen this bout before, and it ends with Madison staying in the title hunt.
Bout #5 #1 Contenders Match Great Canadians: Eric Scott & Vincent Regliatti defeated Joe & Stan Malenko by pinfall when Scott pinned Stan after a stuffed piledriver at 8:34 **a bit of a surprise victory because it sets up a heel vs heel title match against the Spinebusters. The GC had to cheat to win but they still won.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Show begins of course with highlights of the dark matches from earlier.
Bout #6 North American Women's Title Match Jessica Judd and Dawn Marie battled to a no-contest at 3:11 [Jessica Judd retained the North American Women's Title] **this originally was supposed to be the return bout for Allison Corino, but had to be switched because Corino has abruptly left RCW to pursue opportunities overseas. Dawn Marie came in with an edge to her; she was here for the gold. This was a catfight - brawl and there was no way referee Shiela Bloom was going to let chaos reign, and soon threw it out. The brawl continued for a couple more minutes until officials broke it up.
Bout #7 RCW Television Title Match Al Hardamann defeated Tiger Khan by disqualification for outside interference (Derek St. Holmes) at 8:54 [Al Hardamann retained the RCW Television Title] **Khan had his moments for sure, and showed a good ground game, but the champ would not be denied his vengeance is this rematch after being hit with a steel chair. However, with victory assured Derek St. Holmes who has not been at the side of Khan for several weeks came into the ring and attacked the champ. Khan looked legit surprised making it seem this was not planned, but he soon got with the program on the two on one beatdown.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Bunkhouse Brawl Sam Holiday defeated Chrome by 10-count in a Bunkhouse Brawl at 9:20 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **this bout put the decisive end, the exclamation mark, on this little feud. A brawl between two big men that spent a lot of time around ringside and some in the crowd. In the end Holiday jumped off the top buckle delivering a fist to the head of Chrome who was on his knees on the floor outside the ring.

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Ryan Price defeated Matt Fairlane and Zakk Wylde by pinfall when Price pinned Fairlane after a too rope hurancanrana at 7:29 **interesting opening bout with 3 curtain jerker faces going at it. They put on a good show to get things kicked off and Price pinned his frequent tag partner Fairlane to get the win.
Bout #2 "Venom" Paul Diamond defeated Darren Dalton by pinfall after a superkick at 6:42 **Diamond is a notch above Dalton.
Bout #3 Six-Man Tag Match Joe & Stan Malenko & Shane Madison defeated Players Club: Chris Parys, Donnie DiCaprio & Will Damon by submission when Stan submitted DiCaprio in the Texas Cloverleaf at 10:54 **decent match for a six-man. Shane had a long stretch near the start playing Ricky Morton, and Damon then had his turn being beaten from pillar to post. The final of course came right after a six-man brawl with Stan getting DiCaprio to tap out in the middle of the ring.
Bout #4 Max Pain defeated Adam Knight by pinfall after a death valley driver at 5:10 **Pain's victory wasn't a big surprise, but the short duration and his total control over Knight was a bit of an eye-opener. He also served notice by continuing the beatdown of Knight after the bout with a second DVD, and would have hit a third but referee Jennifer Greaves made it clear that would cause a reverse decision, so he relented and left the ring.
Bout #5 Stan Baker defeated Raymond Bingham (/w Bob Backlund) by disqualification for outside interference at 7:45 **Bingham did quite well for most of the bout using his superior technical skills. He also took a powder a couple times to confer with his special manager for the night, recent RCW Hall of Fame inductee Mr. Bob Backlund. Baker though succeeded in turning the bout into a brawl which favoured the big man. Outside the ring as Backlund tried to help Bingham to his feet Baker assaulted Backlund and knocked him out with the heart punch. While Bingham was checking on Backlund, Baker nailed Bingham from behind and then nailed a powerbomb outside the ring. Back inside he nailed a second powerbomb, covered, 1, 2, he picked him up. He then set him up for the heart punch...but Bob Backlund had recovered and entered the ring and attacked Baker. He managed to save Bingham from further harm but lost him the bout for his interference.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Bout #6 RCW Tag Team Title Match The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers and The Great Canadians: Eric Scott & Vincent Regliatti battled to a no-contest at 7:59 [The Spinebusters retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **simplified, the challengers were cheating to win after a ref bump and so Joe & Stan Malenko came out and made it a 3-way brawl. Referee Shiela Bloom woke up, saw what was happening and threw the bout out. The Malenkos have no love lost for either heel team but they don't want to be eliminated from title contention on a screw job title change.
Bout #7 North American Women's Title Match Hardcore Rules Dawn Marie defeated Jessica Judd by pinfall after putting her through a table at 6:22 [Dawn Marie wins the North American Women's Title] **a brawl. Jessica Judd used her guitar and it was almost enough to win, but Dawn Marie managed to avoid a pinfall loss. DM then fought back using a Singapore cane she grabbed from under the ring. To finish things off she drove Judd off the ring apron and through a table on the floor which had been previously set up. Referee Jennifer Greaves applied the count outside on the floor because it was hardcore rules. Judd may not have understood the rules because earlier when she used her guitar she wasted time brining the bout back inside to make the pin. She argued with Greaves after the bout to no avail. This will be Dawn Marie's first title run, the 71st in the title lineage, and ends Judd's second title run. Coincidentally, Youngstown is the city that JJ won her first women's title in that huge upset against TrummerFrauen.
Main Event Handi-Cap Match Chrome, Tiger Khan & Derek St. Holmes defeated Sam Holiday & Al Hardamann by pinfall when Khan pinned Hardamann after a Tiger Driver at 9:10 **St. Holmes was a liability but did his best to only tag in when the match was in hand. H&H seem preoccupied with him and this worked against their interests. In the end Chrome was battling Holiday outside the ring when St. Holmes nailed Hardamann in the back of the head from the ring apron, allowing Khan to nail his finisher and pick up the win. This likely means another round of title shots.

Dark Matches Before RCW RAGE
Special event tonight with the match makers putting friends vs friends in the first four matches, and the main event as well. Commissioner Greg Gagne came out to warn everyone that they needed to give a full 100% effort tonight or they would be suspended.
Opening Bout Ryan Price defeated Matt Fairlane by pinfall after a top rope hurrancanrana at 8:32 **high flying opening bout. These two are frequent tag partners, but last week Ryan pinned Fairlane in a triangle match. Tonight he was able to repeat that victory in one on one action. Fairlane eventually accepted a handshake and the two left together.
Bout #2 Stacey Lynn defeated Chris Lydon by pinfall after a springboard clothesline at 6:40 **these two ladies were allies, then it seemed to rip asunder, but they patched things together again. Tonight though they reluctantly squared off one more time. Things started tentatively but soon enough it heated up. Lydon went for a springboard bulldog but Lynn was able to counter by pushing her off and then hit her own springboard move and pick up the win. The two did not leave together.
Bout #3 Adam Knight defeated Darren Dalton by submission to an armbar at 6:09 **tag partner baby faces facing off. Dalton has kind of lived in Knight's shadow, as Knight is a bit bigger, a bit more experienced, and a bit more polished. Dalton though looked like he might win the bout when he nailed a powerbomb. However Knight was ready and fought through the pain to complete a gator roll into an armbar submission and picked up the win. After the bout Dalton needed the doctor to look at his arm, and he waved off Knight's attempts at reconciliation.
Bout #4 Chris Parys and Donnie DiCaprio and Will Damon battled to a no-contest at 0:00 **The three members of the Players Club did not go against Greg Gagne's instructions. In fact this was a total brawl that began when Damon jumped Parys during the introductions. The three spilled outside the ring, and never got back in. They brawled for a good 5 minutes with only referee Shiela Bloom trying to maintain order. Finally when it looked like the men were not going to get back into the ring Bloom tossed the bout out without it ever having officially started. After the bell Parys made peace with the other two and the brawl slowly stopped. Damon had been busted open and was bleeding like a faucet, and the other two had to help him to the back.
Bout #5 Stan Baker & Max Pain defeated Raymond Bingham & Bob Backlund by pinfall when Pain pinned Bingham after a Death Valley Driver at 12:47 **good match, but lots of rest holds, and delays. Bingham played Ricky Morton for a long stretch, but then he and his mentor Backlund took back control and worked Baker over and then Pain over. However, a four man brawl turned things around for the heels and they were soon able to finish it off. Howdy Doody Bob did not attempt to break up the pin, however he rushed in to protect his partner from further harm once the 3 count was applied.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Highlights of the dark matches from earlier in the night.
Bout #6 RCW Tag Team Title Match Triangle Match The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers defeated Great Canadians: Eric Scott & Vincent Regliatti and Joe & Stan Malenko by pinfall when Orth pinned Stan after a top rope kneedrop at 10:58 [The Spinebusters retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **one man from each team was legal at all times. End came when the GC double teamed Stan Malenko with a spiked piledriver, but then the champs swooped in with Caruthers taking out Regliatti and Orth coming off the top rope on the already fallen Stan Malenko for the win.
Main Event Fatal Four Way RCW Heavyweight Title & RCW Television Title Match Al Hardamann defeated Sam Holiday, Chrome and Tiger Khan (/w Derek St. Holmes) by pinfall when he pinned Khan after a vertebreaker at 13:05 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] [Al Hardamann retained the RCW Television Title] **so all four men are legal. There are 2 refs, one inside the ring who is the only one able to count pinfalls/submissions (Buddy Lane) and one outside (Jennifer Greaves) who is there to count out wrestlers or disqualify if they cross the line. If either Holiday or Hardamann is pinned or submit they lose their title to the victor. This led Chrome and Khan to team up against the champs to start who then watched each others backs. It seemed at times that Derek St. Holmes was helping and advising both challengers, not just Khan. However, in the end it looked like Khan was going to be able to get a victory over Hardamann, so Holmes lowered the top rope sending both Holiday and Chrome spilling over the top rope to the floor below (they also took out St. Holmes from the apron at the same time). But inside the ring Hardamann countered a suplex attempt with a DDT, then hit his finisher to pick up the win.
After the bout Chrome was not happy with St. Holmes and chased him and Khan to the backstage area.

Dark Matches Before Rage
Opening Bout Kevin Matthews defeated Matt Fairlane by pinfall after a to the knees powerbomb at 6:19 **premiere of Matthews in RCW, and he is a young up and comer. At 6'5 and 260 he looks like he will still fill out as he grows older. Matthews wrestled as a cocky heel and had little problem with Fairlane.
Bout #2 "Venom" Paul Diamond defeated Shane Madison by pinfall after a superkick at 7:35 **pecking order match but Diamond used a low blow unseen by the ref to set up the win. It's kind of ironic that Diamond was Shawn Michaels' first tag partner and is now using his finisher under a "quick strike venom" gimmick.
Bout #3 Adam Knight & Ryan Price defeated Players Club: Donnie DiCaprio & Will Damon by pinfall when Knight pinned DiCaprio after a release powerbomb at 8:02 **Darren Dalton was still banged up from his match with team mate Knight last week, so the match makers gave Knight Price as a partner for this week. The new team worked well together, more of a thunder and lightning type of attack instead of double thunder.
Bout #4 Raymond Bingham defeated Max Pain by pinfall after an inside cradle (and a handful of tights) at 5:33 **Well Pain was cheating through out the bout, so when Bingham managed to get to the ropes to break an STF, and then Pain lifted him to his feet..you might have to forgive the youngster when he rolled up Pain, and it looked like he grabbed the tights at the last second to keep his balance, and assure the win. Pain complained to referee Jennifer Greaves about the tight hold, and to his credit Bingham nodded and agreed he did it. However Greaves just shrugged her shoulders, she missed it, and there is nothing in the rules that says she can DQ or restart based on the new information. Head of officials Buddy Lane came out and agreed with Greaves, and commissioner Greg Gagne came out and said they would just have a rematch next week. Seemed to be all good but then Pain decided to attack Bingham when he turned his back. He got some kicks and punches in but there were two refs and the commish in the ring now and quickly got between the two men.
Bout #5 #1 Contenders Match Joe & Stan Malenko defeated The Great Canadians: Eric Scott & Vincent Regliatti by submission when Joe submitted Scott in the Texas cloverleaf at 9:14 **solid match, but nothing new here. Regliatti has to be carefully weighing his future in tag teams as opposed to singles. Many feel he wants to break out from being a mid-carder and has the talent to do so.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Highlights of the dark matches from earlier tonight.
Bout #6 North American Women's Title Match Dawn Marie defeated Jessica Judd after a victory roll (and hands on the ropes) at 5:38 [Dawn Marie retained the North American Women's Title] **Obligatory rematch for JJ. These two seem pretty evenly matched but DM is just dirty, and was looking for her first opportunity to cheat to win and took it.
Bout #7 RCW Television Title Match Chrome defeated Al Hardamann by countout at 7:17 [Al Hardamann retained the RCW Television Title] **The two final matches tonight have the champs switching opponents from the last few weeks. Hardamann came out with fists 'a flying and took it to Chrome early. However the big man caught the champ with a big boot and took over the bout. It spilled outside though and Hardamann showed he's tougher than a two dollar steak in actually out punching Chrome. At one point he stood on the announce table to get the high ground to lay in punches. Hardamann was out punching the big man, rolled him back inside the ring, went to the top buckle...but Chrome managed to back himself to the buckle and knock Hardamann down. The champ crotched himself and then fell all the way to the floor below. Chrome was barely able to get to his feet inside the ring to beat the 10 count while the champ was counted out of the ring.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday defeated Tiger Khan (/w Derek St. Holmes) by pinfall after a front layout suplex at 6:11 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Khan stalled against the big champ, and he and Holmes tried their best to play mind games. It didn't really matter though as the big Cowboy champ was not going to be denied tonight. He fought through one obstacle after another. After coming off with his top rope legdrop, he covered for 1, 2, Derek St. Holmes entered the ring to pull Holiday off. Normally the ref Buddy Lane would have called for the bell, but in this case he waited just long enough to see Holiday slam Holmes to the mat and then toss him over the top rope. Holiday went to grab Khan but the sneaky heel rolled up the champ, grabbed a handful of tights...seen by Lane who called for the break. Holiday rocked the challenger with two stiff uppercut forearms and then nailed a front layout suplex to get the win.

Dark Matches Before RCW RAGE
Opening Bout Kevin Matthews defeated Shane Madison by pinfall after a to the knees powerbomb at 4:59 **Not only does Matthews pick up his second straight win, but he makes short work of Madison in an impressive showing.
Bout #2 The Patriot defeated Chris Parys by pinfall after a full nelson slam at 6:31 **Premiere of Tom Brandi under the Patriot gimmick.
Bout #3 Adam Knight & Ryan Price defeated Darren Dalton & Matt Fairlane by pinfall when Knight pinned Dalton after a release powerbomb at 6:46 **more fall out from a couple weeks ago when friends faced friends. In this case this was supposed to be Knight and Dalton against Price and Fairlane, but Dalton took to the mic. He was pissed off at Knight, called him a glory hog and a cheat, and then egged Fairlane on to admit he felt the same things about Price. Knight offered to trade tag partners and all four men agreed. Knight got the win against his former partner, but when he tried to make nice after the bout he was attacked by Dalton. We had a short four man brawl after the bout.
Bout #4 Max Pain defeated Raymond Bingham by pinfall after a death valley driver at 8:10 **Rematch after Bingham won with a tight pull last week. Pain attacked him before the opening bell and immediately took the action outside the ring. The first half of this bout consisted of Pain taking it in and out of the ring, and also keeping Bingham from entering the ring. Bingham finally got an advantage and used some chain wrestling and then a couple suplexes. However Pain fought back with a chop to the throat, a beating in the corner of the ring, a series of clotheslines, and then his finisher.
Bout #5 North American Women's Title Match Dawn Marie defeated Stacey Lynn by pinfall after a tornado DDT at 4:27 [Dawn Marie retained the North American Women's Title] **DM is a whirling dervish lately.

Bout #6 Vincent Rergliatti defeated Stan Baker by submission to the figure-four at 6:17 **odd match-up between two heels. By winning this bout Regs puts himself in line for a title shot.
Bout #7 RCW Tag Team Title Match The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers defeated Joe & Stan Malenko by pinfall when Orth pinned Stan after a spiked piledriver at 9:40 [The Spinebusters retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **the champs had to double team to win but then again they just win. Stan did a stretcher job after the bout with his neck immobilized from the finisher.
Main Event RCW Television Title Match Street Fight Special Guest Referee: Sam Holiday Al Hardamann defeated Chrome by 10 count in a streetfight at 10:22 [Al Hardamann retained the RCW Television Title] **Heavyweight champ Holiday was the special referee, which in a street fight is really just someone to count to 10, but he also acted as an enforcer. He called it straight down the middle despite Hardamann being his friend, and his own recent feud with Chrome. If anything Chrome let himself be distracted by Holiday which worked against his chances. After trading chair shots the two fought on the announce table where Hardamann nailed an awkward looking Vertebreaker. He then climbed to the top buckle and got ready to pounce, but Chrome could not get to his feet again.

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Ed "the Hammer" Harris defeated Zakk Wylde by pinfall after a falling Hammer (forearm) at 5:57 **premiere of Harris. He seemed all right and has decent size, but doesn't really seem to have top end potential.
Bout #2 Matt Fairlane defeated Ryan Price by pinfall after a somersault splash at 6:33 **former team mates who no longer see eye to eye. Big win for Fairlane as it's been Price who has had more success lately.
Bout #3 Adam Knight defeated Darren Dalton by disqualification for use of a foreign object (steel chair) at 8:25 **another match between former friends and team mates. This one was way more heated then the previous one, and spent as much time outside the ring as inside. In the end Dalton looked like he was hanging on by a thread and resorted to chair shots to save face but get intentionally disqualified.
Bout #4 Joe Malenko defeated Bryan Caruthers by submission to the Texas cloverleaf at 9:06 **This match was signed after Joe's cousin Stan Malenko was put out of action by a spiked piledriver last week by the Spinebusters. Two guys who have a good combination of traditional pro wrestling skills, mat wrestling, and high impact moves. Malenko countered a spinebuster with a spear, followed up by a German suplex and then locked in the finisher. No sooner had Caruthers tapped out than his partner Jerry Orth came from the dressing room and laid the boots to Malenko. It was two on one until officials could break it up.
Bout #5 Kevin Matthews and Raymond Bingham battled to a double countout at 4:41 **this one got out of hand fairly early, and the intensity was somewhat surprising as neither guy has a short fuse, and they don't have history with each other.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Bout #6 The Patriot defeated "Venom" Paul Diamond by pinfall after a diving shoulderblock at 6:09 **solid, competitive match between two veterans.
Bout #7 RCW Television Title Match Al Hardamann defeated Max Pain by disqualification for refusing referee instructions at 6:45 [Al Hardamann retained the RCW Television Title] **Pain is a monster crossed with a machine. He has no conscience and you can't be sure he even cares about titles. He just seemed to want to beat the crap out of his opponent. Most of the bout was even but in the end Pain wouldn't let up, kept pounding away, refusing to follow the instructions of Jennifer Greaves who called for the DQ.
Post-Match: Pain refused to let up and when The Patriot tried to stop him he threw him head first into the ring post. Sam Holiday then joined the fracas and exchanged punches with Pain before more officials broke it up.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday and Vincent Regliatti battled to a no-contest at 4:55 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **The champ came in already banged up from earlier. He still had a lot of fight in him plus his big size advantage so was able to be competitive. However, before we could get a decision Max Pain returned to the ring and attacked Holiday. When the match got thrown out Regliatti went nuts in anger, grabbing a steel chair and smashing Pain, and then Holiday.

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Bryan Caruthers defeated Ryan Price by pinfall after a spinebuster slam at 4:30 **glorified squash match for one half of the tag team champions
Bout #2 The Extremists: Ace Darling & Devon Storm defeated Tiger Khan & Derek St. Holmes by pinfall when Darling pinned Holmes after a moonsault at 8:02 **the return of former RCW Tag Team champions.
Bout #3 Joe Malenko (/w Stan Malenko) defeated Jerry Orth (/w Bryan Caruthers) by submission to the Texas cloverleaf at 12:26 **very good match. Stan is still injured but was able to help his cousin to a victory by keeping an eye on Caruthers.
Bout #4 Hardcore Rules Adam Knight defeated Darren Dalton by pinfall after a powerbomb through a table at 7:34 **perhaps the final chapter in this mini-feud between former friends.
Bout #5 North American Women's Title Match Dawn Marie defeated Jessica Judd by pinfall after a superplex at 6:00 [Dawn Marie retained the North American Women's Title] **nothing really new here.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Bout #6 Kevin Matthews defeated Raymond Bingham by pinfall after a to the knees powerbomb at 8:39 **rubber match between these two top youngsters. In the end power and size won over athleticism and technioque.
Main Event Non-Title Fatal Five Way Elimination Sam Holiday vs Vincent Regliatti vs Max Pain vs Al Hardamann vs Patriot [Al Hardamann eliminated by Sam Holiday by pinfall after a running legdrop at 5:41] [The Patriot eliminated by Max Pain by pinfall after a death valley driver at 6:40] [Max Pain eliminated by Vincent Regliatti by pinfall after a doomsday device (/w Sam Holiday) at 9:13] [Sam Holiday eliminated by Vincent Regliatti by submission to the figure-four at 15:20] [Vincent Regliatti wins the Fatal Five Way Eilmination at 15:20] **Holiday surprised everyone by eliminating his friend first in the bout. After being eliminated, a minute later Max Pain returned to the ring to attack both Regliatti and Holiday. RCW officials had to restore order and both men were now slowed down by the damage sustained. The last couple minutes of this bout were fought at a snail's pace. Big win for Regliatti to keep him in place as the #1 contender.

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Matt Fairlane defeated Zakk Wylde by pinfall after a somersault splash at 7:34 **decent opener between two good workers. Fairlane has had a recent turn in attitude and he is all about himself now.
Bout #2 Joe Malenko defeated Derek St. Holmes by submission to the Texas cloverleaf at 5:29 **Holmes never stood a chance.
Bout #3 Tiger Khan defeated Adam Knight by submission to the STF at 9:10 **Khan was without St. Holmes to start the bout due to the beating he took in the previous bout. However, he was able to come out just in time to provide a timely distraction for Khan.
Bout #4 Raymond Bingham defeated "Venom" Paul Diamond by pinfall after a Northern lights suplex at 7:48 **solid match between two mid-carders. Bingham is on his way up in the world, Diamond is near the end of his career.
Bout #5 The Patriot defeated Kevin Matthews by pinfall after a full nelson slam at 11:21 **another solid, competitive match. Patriot is a veteran yet seemed like the underdog at times. In the end though Matthews missed with an avalanche attempt, and Patriot nailed the finisher. Post-Match. Matthews was a sore loser and attacked Patriot after the bell. He put him in a torture rack until RCW officials forced him to release the hold.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Bout #6 The Extremists: Ace Darling & Devon Storm defeated Stan Baker & Ed "the Hammer" Harris by pinfall when Storm pinned Harris after a missile dropkick at 6:25 **Baker looked disgusted with the quality of his partner and made no effort to break up the pin.
Bout #7 RCW Television Title Match Max Pain defeated Al Hardamann by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 5:27 [Al Hardamann retained the RCW Television Title] **these two were part of the fatal five way two weeks ago, but the week before that Pain was DQ'd in his match against Hardamann by refusing referee instructions and just continuing to attack the champ. This time it went the other way with Hardamann losing his temper and ending up using a steel chair to lay out Pain and getting himself disqualfied.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday and Vincent Regliatti battled to a television time limit draw at around 11:00 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Regliatti can't buy a break, or some people might feel that is just karma. He is actually in control of the bout when time runs out on the television show. No one is happy as we,
FADE TO BLACK
Dark Match RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday defeated Vincent Regliatti by countout at 16:36 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **the champ agreed to put the title on the line again against Regliatti. It was decided after a few minute break that this would be a new match, with a new clock. So overall these two went over 26 minutes before a decision was rendered in favour of the champ. Both men were exhausted and Holiday managed to catch Regs going for a cross body, the two backed into the ropes and both went over. Holiday managed to slip into the ring (Regs tried to grab his boot but he kicked the challenger right in the face) to beat the count. It looked like Regs may have had a broken nose from the kick.

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Lord Zoltan defeated Zakk Wylde by pinfall after a jumping DDT at 8:10 **Zoltan makes his return to RCW, and it's in the ring not at ringside as a manager. He frustrated Wylde with his stalling and cheating tactics causing him to make mistakes. Announcer Linley Tolbert asked the question if Derek St. Holmes' spot as the #1 worm in RCW is now up for grabs.
Bout #2 Ryan Price defeated Darren Dalton by pinfall after flying headscissors at 5:53 **Price countered a powerbomb with flying headscissors for the win.
Bout #3 Ed "the Hammer" Harris defeated Adam Knight by pinfall after a flying forearm at 7:25 **Darren Dalton returned to ringside and distracted his former partner, allowing a low blow and the the finisher for Harris.
Bout #4 #1 TV Title Contender Match Raymond Bingham defeated Tiger Khan (/w Derek St. Holmes) by pinfall after a Northern lights suplex at 10:27 **Big win for the youngster. The two traded hold for hold in some good displays of technical prowess. However when it looked like Holmes was getting a pair of brass knux ready to pass to his man Khan, from the back came Lord Zoltan and shocked the crowd by wrestling the knux away from Holmes. This distracted Khan long enough to turn the tide of the bout and less than a minute later Bingham had won the bout. In the meantime, Zoltan just left for the back with the knux, giving no explanation for his actions.
Bout #5 The Patriot defeated Kevin Matthews by pinfall after a full nelson slam at 6:27 **rematch from last week. Once again the Patriot won the bout, but he got revenge for the post match beat down last week from Matthews.
Bout #6 Stan Baker & Jesse Hennig defeated The Extremists: Ace Darling & Devon Storm by pinfall when Hennig pinned Darling after a running necksnap at 9:32 **Match-up of two former RCW Tag Championship teams. After losing last week with Ed Harris as his partner, Baker went out and brought back his old partner Jesse Hennig to the territory for a rematch. The two cheated every chance they could but the result was still about as clean as you will get when heels win.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Highlights of the dark matches are shown, as well as of the dark match last week when Holiday and Regliatti restarted their bout after the TV show had ended in their time limit draw.
Bout #7 RCW Tag Team Title Match The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers defeated Joe & Stan Malenko by pinfall when Orth pinned Joe after a top rope kneedrop at 7:16 [The Spinebusters retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **no feeling out process was needed in this one as the teams are now quite familiar with each other, and have much animosity. The main storyline of the bout was that maybe Stan had come back from injury too soon as he seemed a bit slow, and Joe tried to stay in the ring as much as possible. That is not a path to victory when you are against such a solid team as the Busters.
Main Event RCW Television Title Match CAGE MATCH Al Hardamann defeated Max Pain by pinfall after a top rope fistdrop at 11:29 [Al Hardamann retained the RCW Television Title] **Pain gave the champ everything he could handle and controlled most of the first 7 or 8 minutes of this bout, busting Hardamann open and continually raking his head across the cage to spread the blood. In the end the champ made a comeback, and hit his finisher Vertebreaker..but Pain was able to kick out. So Hardamann nailed a running bulldog and then climbed the top and came down with the fist to get the duke.
FADE TO BLACK
Untelevised Bout #8 RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday defeated Vincent Regliatti by pinfall after a running legdrop at 15:52 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **This match was held live just before the cage was erected for the main event. However, this match was not shown on television, but then again the live fans did not get to see the same two men go at it in the dark match from last week which was now highlighted at the start of the TV broadcast. This allowed the usual time constraints of TV to be lifted and let these two have a good house show style bout. Regliatti gave a good effort but Holiday is just too much of an alpha male with size to get beat right now.
