NAWA Glory 12/1/06
Backstage:
NAWA Owner Larry Sweeney is sitting in his office, when Mia Stylish barges in. Stylish demands a shot at the NAWA Women's Champion Awesome Kong and Sweeney just laughs, saying that Stylish doesn't know what she's getting herself into, that Kong's a killer, and she eats little girls like Stylish for Breakfast. Sweeney talks about how Stylish brought all of the broken bones and bruises on herself, because she spurned a chance to get to the top, the way all women in wrestling have, if she knows what he's saying. Stylish demands a match with anyone to prove that she could have a match with Awesome Kong at StarClash. Sweeney suddenly seems thoughtful and agrees to the match, one on one tonight on Glory, Mia Stylish takes on Larry Sweeney in his NAWA in ring debut. If Stylish wins, then she gets an NAWA Women's Title Shot at StarClash 06. However, if Stylish loses, then she gets to be Larry Sweeney's personal lackey to do as he says for the next sixty days. And while this could be a nice technical match, with lots of grappling, rolling around on the mat, and holds and moves, Sweeney states that he would humble Mia Stylish, perhaps in more ways than one, so to make things a little more interesting, it will be a Streetfight. Sweeney says he's waiting and Stylish accepts, saying that she's going to enjoy beating Sweeney down tonight.
Tonight: The match that was just announced, the Street Fight between Larry Sweeney and Mia Stylish. Also, Jerry Lynn and the Gambler will square off in a Dream Partner Tag Team Match, where they are going to pick their partners. We see Miles Stylish sitting backstage, where Jerry Lynn walks up to him. Stylish looks a bit hostile, asking Lynn what he's doing there. Lynn says that he comes in peace. For nearly a year, they dominated the New Age Wrestling Alliance as part of the Triumvirate and the year after that, they had a heated feud, with many heated matches that no fan would be able to forget, but Lynn says they would like to think that they would be a better place. Jerry Lynn puts over Miles Stylish as pound for pound the best wrestler in the world and there is no doubt about it, Stylish is going to take Kurt Angle to school when they fight at StarClash 06. Lynn says that Stylish is the first, last, and only choice to be his tag team partner tonight, as for one night only, the Triumvirate rides again and takes out the Gambler and whoever he chooses. Stylish agrees, saying that tonight, the Gambler will have a flashback to 2004, where the Triumvirate gave him many vicious beatdowns during that year.
We see Larry Sweeney beating on a punching bag backstage, as Abyss looks menacing in the background. Sweeney pauses, telling Abyss that tonight, he's to see only one thing when he competes and that's Teddy Hart. Sweeney tells that Teddy Hart is a cocky prick that looks down upon Abyss, thinking that he's some dumb monster, who can't string a thought tonight, Hart's words, not Sweeney. Sweeney says that when Abyss gets Teddy Hart in the ring, he doesn't just want blood, he wants gore, that would cause any horror movie fans to be terrified. He wants Teddy Hart to be indeed of at least one blood transfusion for every day for the rest of his life. Sweeney says Abyss is a killer, he's going to win the NAWA World Title at Starclash 06, and he's going to decimate everyone. Abyss looks fired up, as Sweeney sends Abyss out for his match.

Elix Skipper and Petey Williams vs Abyss
Skipper and Williams are two great talents in the ring but Abyss just utterly destroys them. The two men try to fight off the monster, but Abyss is a wrecking machine. Petey got the worst of it, as he was in the bottom of the pile. Abyss hoists the limp bodies of both of his opponents up and suplexes them both back down at the same time! Abyss now picks up both of them and throttles both of them, before murdering them with a violent double choke slam! This is just pure destruction and this is two men that Abyss is just obliterating at the same time! How is Teddy Hart going to combat with this? How can anyone combat with this? Abyss hoists up Petey Williams onto his shoulders and does the same thing to Elix Skipper and DOUBLE SHOCK TREATMENT! Both of their bodies are destroyed and Abyss picks up the destroyed body of Petey Williams and Black Hole Slams him, before covering him for the academic pin!

Rating: * 1/2
We've had some utterly dominating performances from the likes of Ron Waterman and Samoa Joe over the years, but Abyss has taken decimation to an entirely new level. Abyss rolls to the outside and reaches underneath the ring, before he grabs a table. A table is slid into the ring and now Abyss scoops up the destroyed body of Petey Williams and sets him up on the table and he sets up Elix Skipper on the top rope, facing the crowd. Abyss is up and CHOKE SLAM RIGHT ON ELIX SKIPPER OFF OF THE TOP ROPE THROUGH THE TABLE, WHICH PETEY WILLIAMS WAS SET UP ON! The fans are absolutely going insane, horrified and Abyss drops down, grabbing his chain but out rushes the NAWA World Champion Teddy Hart!
Teddy Hart enters the ring and punches away on Abyss. Abyss goes for a big boot but Hart slides underneath it and dropkicks Abyss through the ropes. Abyss lands on his feet and slides into the ring, but Teddy Hart continues to beat on Abyss, using a piece of the broken table, out security and officials come out. Larry Sweeney is out, convincing Abyss that his time will come soon and he yells that Teddy Hart should consider himself lucky, the next time that he sticks his nose where it doesn't belong, he won't be so fortunate. Teddy Hart and Abyss are locked and loaded for an NAWA World Championship Match. Abyss is a pure force of destruction and Teddy Hart has had tough challenges before, but Larry Sweeney has had Abyss riled up to leave an entire stack of bodies as tall as the arena in his wake.

We see Candace Sweet trying to get Sedrick Sweet out of his NAWA Television Title Match, against Samoa Joe but Richard Ramos Ricardo, NAWA Commissioner and Attorney At Law, is having none of it, despite Candace saying that she'll do anything. Mr. Fernando raises his eyebrows at this in the background and suddenly in comes Shawn Stasiak. Stasiak talks about how he hasn't been on television in months, despite being cleared to compete. Ricardo talks about how there is no place in this company for someone like Stasiak, how he has never made anything out of himself. He was Meat, He was Perfectshawn, he was the Mecca of Manhood, He was Planet Stasiak, He was Superstar Shawn Stasiak in the NAWA even, but all of those attempts, he'll never be anything because he isn't anything. Stasiak steps forward but then he sees Candace, he gets an idea. He says that she's a World Class Hollywood Agent, so how about she represent him and get him notice? Candace pulls a sour face, saying that Stasiak is a loser and she only represents the very best and the very brightest. Stasiak says that anyone can make a star something, but what if she made a nobody into a somebody? The greatest names in Hollywood would be flocking to her door, begging her, pleading for her, giving her money, making her the richest woman in entertainment. Candace looks thoughtful, saying that she might be able to do something, with what she has to work with and she'll give it a thought and call Stasiak in the next few days, so they can get started. Stasiak leaves claiming that he's going to be the next NAWA World Champion and Candace looks dubious while Mr. Fernando laughs like a madman. Ricardo says that he's certain that Candace can't make Shawn Stasiak into something. A great legal mind like his couldn't make Stasiak into something, if he threatened to sue every fan of the New Age Wrestling Alliance if they didn't cheer Stasiak. Ricardo bets Candace that she can't turn Shawn Stasiak into star, by WrestleClash VI on September 9th 2007. Twenty five million dollars says that Candace can't do it. Candace looks unimpressed with what she calls pocket change, so the bet is raised to one hundred million dollars and Candace accepts the interesting wager. Ricardo claims that come September, he's going to move to the Caribbean and retire.

The Gambler lost the match but Harry Harris says the Gambler might have improved, but there's a reason why he has never been or never will be the NAWA World Champion. He needs to learn how to listen to the top stars. The Gambler yells that he's been at this business longer than Harris has, scrapping and clawing his way up for over a decade before he finally broke through.
Harris says none of that matters, none of that counted, most of the Gambler's matches prior to this company were in smoke filled run down warehouses filled with inbreds or theme parks where fans were told who to cheer and boo. The only reason why he has a job in this company is because Matt Harms was a mark for his act. Harry Harris says that he lived for this company and he's been through it all. He's had his skin shredded with barbed wire, he's been burned with fire, he's been slammed onto thumbtacks, he was thrown off of cages, knocked off ladders, put through tables, sliced with glass, electrocuted, and had so many concussions that he can't remember them all. Not to mention he had his neck broken, where he thought he could never walk again, and his knees are thrashed beyond any surgery. He is forced to sleep in pain, walk in pain, wrestle in pain, and he'll die in pain! Harris yells that he might bound to be another statistic of wrestlers who have lost their lives in the name of this business, but he knows one statistic the Gambler will never be a part of. And that's a former World Champion. HARRIS SLAPS THE GAMBLER RIGHT IN THE FACE!
The Gambler goes right for Harry Harris, but security quickly pours in and in comes Larry Sweeney as well. Sweeney says that he loves it, two fan favorites wanting to rip into each other, but he can't throw it out cold, no this needs build. Next week on this program, The Gambler will take on Harry Harris for the first time ever. He talks about how he can see it now, two of the fan's heroes beating the ever living hell out of each other and lining Sweeney's pockets with precious money. Harris calls Sweeney the devil in a suit but he says that it doesn't matter who he's going to face, he's on his path to the top. He's going to win the NAWA World Title for the third time, no matter what. Next week, we have not only Samoa Joe against Miles Stylish but the Gambler against Harry Harris. Both for the first time ever. Matches that could headline a Pay Per View, but apparently Larry Sweeney has decided that he is going to go for the huge ratings, as we get them free on Glory.
We see a vignette of Kurt Angle training like a madman for his match with Miles Stylish at StarClash 06. Angle admits that when he was on the road with the other company, he didn't see much of Miles Stylish, but in the past few months, he has a chance to watch more than enough. And he admits that Miles Stylish is as talented as he is egotistical. He has never been up against anyone in the ring as good as Miles Stylish but he's accomplished impressive feats. Hell he won an Olympic Gold Medal with a Broken Freaking Neck as he's been so fond of pointing out. He talks about how he has studied every single match that he can get his hands on and will be on the look out for more, so he can devise a game plan where he can beat Miles Stylish. Angle talks about how StarClash 06 will be the night where he proves the doubters wrong. There is still something left in the tank. There is still one more great run left in Kurt Angle. And maybe he could one day be the NAWA World Champion. But he is foolish to look past Miles Stylish and he's ready for StarClash 06.
We go backstage as Mia Stylish is taping up her wrists when her brother Miles walks in. Miles asks what Mia was thinking, accepting that match with Larry Sweeney tonight. Sweeney is not going to let her win for sure and he asks her if she's happy that their parents won't be able to show their faces in public because their only daughter disgraced them, by putting herself up against a sleazebag like Sweeney in a wrestling match. Miles says that she's not that talented, not that pretty, and obviously not that bright, it appears that Miles got the skills, the looks, and the brains in that family. Mia doesn't say anything but she brushes past her brother. Miles yells that he's ashamed of her and she's disgraced the name Stylish. She can't win and Miles Stylish leaves, but Abyss jumps him in the hallway, nailing him right in the back of the head with a chain loaded punch! Abyss is beating on Miles Stylish and he drives a two by four over the back of Stylish twice, before giving him a choke slam right on top of a wooden palate. Sweeney walks by, saying that he still likes Stylish, one of his favorite wrestlers, this is nothing personal, but Sweeney says that he can't risk that Stylish is really going to go all noble for his sister tonight and ruin his plans. Sweeney calls for paramedics to tend to Miles Stylish, apologizing once again for having Abyss attack him.
Coming up next, intergender warfare in a Streetfight, with Mia Stylish taking on Larry Sweeney. If Stylish wins, then she gets an NAWA Women's Title Shot against Awesome Kong December 18th at StarClash. But if Sweeney wins, then Mia Stylish is going to be Sweeney's personal assistant for the next sixty days, having to do anything he says without question.

The referee is down and now Mia Stylish dives through the ropes, taking out Kong with a baseball slide and beating on her! We see Larry Sweeney drop to his knees and reach into his pocket, for a handful of powder. Mia Stylish enters the ring with Kong and Sweeney goes to throw the powder but Stylish ducks and KONG GETS POWDER RIGHT IN HER EYES! Stylish dropkicks Larry Sweeney down to a huge pop and then Kong staggers, with Stylish beating on Kong, before delivering a drop toe hold, causing Kong to land head first right into the crotch of Larry Sweeney! The fans explode into cheers but Abyss is now making his way down to the ring. Mia Stylish looks suddenly fearful as Abyss stalks his way to the ring, with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire! She leaves the ring and grabs a chair, before sliding into the ring and Abyss enters the ring and Stylish waffles Abyss with a chair shot. Abyss remains immobile! Another chair shot right to Abyss! Abyss remains on his feet and a third chair shot. ABYSS PUNCHES RIGHT THROUGH THE CHAIR AND GRABS MIA STYLISH BY THE THROAT! Mia Stylish is not responding to getting booted right in the face and Kong is up to her feet, wiping the powder from her eyes and she has the battered body of Mia Stylish, before giving her the Awesome Bomb! Lost in all of this, Mia Stylish has an NAWA Women's Title Shot but after this destructive assault by these two monsters, Kong and Abyss, neither Mia Stylish or Teddy Hart look like winners. We fade to black at the carnage that this force of destruction known as Abyss has left.

Injuries derailed him twice, but third time will be the charm and in 2007, it will be the year that Harry Harris is back at the top of the mountain. "Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top plays and out comes Miles Stylish to interrupt Harry Harris. Stylish talks about how it amuses him how people might think that Harry Harris has a chance of regaining the NAWA World Title. Stylish talks about how he would be the NAWA World Champion right now, standing before the entire world, if it wasn't for Kurt Angle, but at December 18th at StarClash 06, Stylish is going to prove that he is pound for pound the best wrestler in the world and he doesn't need a cheap tacky piece of tin around his neck to prove it. Stylish talks about how he is going to enter the Luck of the Draw Match on January 21st and then on March 25th at Reality Check, Miles Stylish will stand over the company again, a conquering victory as for the third time, the NAWA World Champion. Stylish talks about how next week, he's got a match against Samoa Joe and once again, Harry Harris is going to be second rate, when he is only the second person to defeat Samoa Joe, because Stylish is going to be the person to end his undefeated streak next week.
Harris looks at Stylish, looking at him with thinly veiled disdain, before saying that in 2006, he beat Miles Stylish in what was supposed to be their final battle and it was Loser Leaves Town. Stylish retorts that it didn't matter, he took the summer off, and Harris has scored one win over Miles Stylish as opposed to the countless times that he beat him. 1 to hundred upon hundreds of victories all around the world. Stylish says that he's going to beat Joe next week, he's going to beat Angle at StarClash 06, and then after StarClash, if Harris wants to prove him wrong, Stylish will beat him again. In fact, January 3rd 2007, Five Year Anniversary of the NAWA, the two biggest home grown superstars in the company one on one, Miles Stylish against Harry Harris. It looks like the Gambler didn't have to settle for Twizted Youth, as coming up next it will be the Gambler and Harry Harris against Jerry Lynn and Miles Stylish coming up next on Glory.

Stylish and Lynn get the win tonight and they celebrate their victory, as we see the trainers checking on Harry Harris. Harris has had a history of neck problems and really one wrong fall could have caused them to flare up again. As we look at the replay, it doesn't appear to be a bad fall but to be fair its kind of hard to judge.
We see Harry Harris get back to his feet, shaking his arms and flexing his fingers, before he is sent to the back by paramedics as the Gambler is out in the ring, severely beaten. More Glory after this.

We are in the back, where Harry Harris sits, slumped over on a bench, but the Gambler is helped in as well but he breaks free, asking Harry Harris what happened out there. The Gambler yells that he never came close to hitting Harry Harris, but he goes down with an injury. Harry Harris gets to his feet, saying that the Gambler has no right to judge how hurt he is, he is on the road wrestling three hundred days a year, knowing that the next time he goes down, he might not be getting up. He talks about how the Gambler was the one getting beaten down, and then he was careless, not watching where he was going.

The fans gasp, as Abyss is choking Mia Stylish out, but Teddy Hart is out from the back and he nails Abyss right in the back of the head with the NAWA World Championship Belt!
