Matt Cross opened Velocity with a victory over Teddy Hart. During prerecorded comments Cross mentioned that he couldn't wait to bring the high flying Jr. Heavyweight division action to Puerto Rico.
Match with Managers Banned From Ringside Harry Smith pinned King Fale with the Stampede Powerslam in 0:04:45. Rating: ***
Trinity once managed King Fale, and before the match Fale asked Smith to make it a fair fight by banning Trinity from the ring. Trinity left, but it didn't do much for King Fale, as Harry Smith was able to grab a victory over Fale.
Puerto Rican Invasion Control Center.
Lance Wright welcomes the fans to the control center for the 2003 Puerto Rican Invasion!
Lance runs down all the cities that the USWA will be stopping in, and also pushed next week's television main events, both taking place from the city of Naguabo!

(Video of the Colon Brothers with comments shows.)
Carly says that the entire country is excited for the first ever appearance of the USWA in Puerto Rico. Carly says that he and his brother are not ones that sit back when they get called out by other wrestlers, and that in Naguabo, Christian York and Joey Matthews are going to find out why they are 3 time WWC Tag team champions!
Lance Wright says that on Velocity next week, Bad Intentions will FINALLY get the tag team title rematch they have been waiting for since they lost those belts in August.
(Promo with Corino and Bad Intentions airs.)
Karl Anderson tells Kimo he hopes that ankle of his is all healed up, because he is going to need to learn to withstand some serious pain when they get back in the ring!
Giant Bernard tells Kimo and Ekmo that anytime they step in the ring, it's a battle between the biggest men in the USWA, next week on Velocity, Bernard is going to prove that he is the best big man in the world today, and he's going to do that by bringing the gold back to the Corino Family!
Petey Williams pinned Juventud Guerrera with the Canadian Destroyer in 0:03:26. Rating: ** 1/4
Williams uses his Canadian Destroyer finisher on Juventud Guerrera to gain his first big victory in the Jr. Heavyweight division.
Steve Bradley pinned CM Punk with the Smashmouth in 0:06:55.Rating: **** (Jun Akiyama interferes against CM Punk.)
Both men will face off in the 8 man tournament for the triple crown title starting next week, but this week, with help from Jun Akiyama, Bradley picked up the victory. Akiyama still has a grudge against the Corino Family, and with Punk being the latest member of the group, along with being Akiyama's first opponent in the tournament, the former champion wanted to get under the skin of CM Punk.
Brian Christopher pinned Vampiro with the Tennessee Jam in 0:09:37. Rating: *** 1/4
Christopher came out to ridicule Vampiro before the match, and during the match he continued to get under his skin by calling him a phony. Christopher had the fans on his side in this one and was able to get a big victory with the Tennessee Jam. After the match Vampiro took the mic and told the fans that he knows that his past doesn't give them much of a reason to get behind him, but he will help bring down the Cornio family, and he will go on to become the next USWA Champion!
Alex Shelley has comments before the main event.
Alex Shelley tells Corey Maclin before his main event match that he has the opportunity to defeat both Christopher Daniels and Prince Devitt all in one night!
Shelley says that he knows that both Daniels and Devitt haven't exactly seen eye to eye lately, and that he will have no problem letting those two rip each other apart, as he gets the victory tonight!
Triangle Match Alex Shelley defeated Christopher Daniels and Prince Devitt: x A. Shelley beat Devitt via the Shell Shock in 0:09:45 x A. Shelley beat Daniels via the Shell Shock in 0:25:56 Rating: **** 1/4
Shelley took out all of his main competition tonight in the main event. Shelley calls this his biggest victory since he came to the USWA, and feels he is the guy that will take the USWA Jr. Heavyweight division to new levels! Devitt wasn't happy with Christopher, who constantly tagged him in early in the match, which he believes led to him being exhausted and eventually getting pinned by Shelley. After the match Devitt came back down to the ring and had another bickering match with Daniels. If one thing we have learned from Daniels and Devitt in their quest to beat Shelley, is that they are not fans of each other!
Velocity Notes:
Lots of Jr. Heavyweight action on the show tonight as the crew gets ready to hit Puerto Rico! 7 big shows to take place, with a new Triple Crown champion being crowned. Plenty of local spice will be added to the matches as the WWC will be bringing in talent to compete on the shows.
Who will leave Puerto Rico as the new USWA Triple Crown Champion?

After another verbal threat to Vampiro, Christopher picks up another win over WWC's El Bronco! Christopher is on a hot streak heading into his first round match with Steve Bradley tonight on Velocity.
Eddie Colon and Carly Colon defeated The Bad Street Boys (Christian York and Joey Matthews) when Carly Colon pinned J. Matthews with the Backcracker in 0:07:33. Rating: ** 1/2
WWC picks up their first win, and biggest, as Eddie and Carly get a win over The Bad Street Boys. As Daizee Haze attempted to get involved, Carly grabbed her and layed a kiss on her! Stunning her and taking her out of the equation. Carly hit his back cracker finisher on Matthews, and the Colon brothers pick up a big victory here on Challenge.
After the match Carly and Eddie claim to be one of the best tag teams in the world, and that they will be keeping a close eye on the Velocity Main Event tonight, as Bad Intentions FINALLY get their tag team title rematch with The Island Boys.

He then tells the fans to turn their attention to the ring because Brian Christopher is on his way down to kick off this weeks Velocity!
8 Man Tournament Round 1 Brian Christopher pinned Steve Bradley with the Tennessee Jam in 0:06:37. Rating: ****
Brian Christopher gets another big victory over Steve Bradley to advance to the next round of the tournament. Christopher was able to set up the Tennessee Jam after a failed attempt at an inverted atomic drop by Bradley. Christopher has been on a roll as of late with victories over Vampiro, WWC's El Bronco, and now Steve Bradley. We will have to see if this recent hot streak is the momentum he needs to become the first ever unified champion of the USWA.
Lance Wright presents USWA Special Report- Latin Lover and Rey Bucanero
Footage of last weeks USWA Challenge Main Event airs showing the pinfall victory of Latin Lover and Rey Bucanero over the tag team champions, the Island Boys.
Lance Wright tells the fans that winning the first ever USWA Proving Ground match, and getting the upset win over the champions have guaranteed Latin Lover and Bucanero a tag title shot in the very near future. The question is, who will be the opponents of Lover and Bucanero? Lance throws it to pre recorded comments from Bill Dundee.

Lance kicks it to prerecorded comments from the WWC contingent.
Fidel Sierra says that Latin Lover and Rey Bucanero might be well known names in Puerto Rico, but they are the away team, playing in Fidel and Ricky's home town! Ricky says next week, the WWC Contingent is going to defeat Lover and Bucanero and put some real question marks in the USWA's tag team title picture!
Lance Wright says that we will have an update on all of the fallout to these stories two weeks from now, with another special report!
::Commercial Break::
8 Man Title Tournament Round 1 Harry Smith pinned Chad Collyer after a German suplex in 0:04:49. Rating: ** 3/4
It didn't take long for Harry Smith to dominate our X-Division champion in this first round match up of the tournament. Smith used all power moves to get the X-Division champ weak, and then hit a picture perfect German Suplex to seal up the win. Bobby Fish made his way out after the match to run down Collyer for his loss. Fish said that if Collyer is too concerned with becoming the USWA Champion, he might just win back that X-Division title from him in the near future. Harry Smith will face off against the winner of the Vampiro, Abdullah the Butcher match, which is our main event for next weeks Challenge tv show.
Scott Hudson Event Center - Update on Cayey, Puerto Rico final day show.
Scott Hudson is in the USWA Event Center breaking down our major show, which is the final day of the Puerto Rican Invasion tour.
Hudson says that October 11th, 2003 in Cayey, PR The Pedro Montanez outdoor Stadium will host a BLOCKBUSTER USWA show. Details of the show are still in the works, but we do know the winner of the 8 Man Title tournament will go on to face Ahmed Johnson in the Unification match for the new Triple Crown champion of the USWA. That alone is worth the price of admission!
Bill Dundee has confirmed that we will have 7 big matches on the show, and the final day will be available for all the U.S. fans as an exclusive DVD release, but for those in Puerto Rico, tickets are already on sale.
Scott says that he has also received word of another big title match for the show. Chad Collyer will defend his X-Division title against former champion, Bobby Fish. We saw the two of them get into it earlier today, and it looks like they will come to blows one more time in Puerto Rico!
Hudson tells the fans to keep updated on the latest happenings of this card by checking out the USWA website, and by tuning into all the USWA programming in the upcoming weeks.
Grudge Match The Tequila Effect (Raven and Konnan) defeated WWC Contingent (Ricky Santana and Fidel Sierra) in 0:13:20. Rating: ***
Raven and Konnan leave with a victory in tag team action. During the match Americas Most Wanted had a promo where they claim that Tequilla Effect have been begging for another match in order to get some revenge for their loss last week. AMW say that they are finished with Raven and Konnan and want to be tag team champions. They claim they will take on Lover and Bucanero, The Island Boys, or anyone who gets in their way of becoming two time USWA tag team champions!
Preview of next weeks show lineup
Corey Maclin says that today has been a wild one on Velocity, but we still have our tag team title main event to go.
Corey says that next week on Velocity Latin Lover and Rey Bucanero will step in the ring against the WWC Contingent just one day before there tag title opportunity.
Also Jun Akiyama and CM Punk will finish off the first round out the 8 man title tournament matches. We will also hear from USWA Global Champion Ahmed Johnson, and get his take on how the 8 man tournament is shaping up.
That and plenty more coming from Carolina, Puerto Rico from the famous Roberto Climente, Sports City.
The Island Boys (OG Ekmo and Kimo) defeated Bad Intentions (Giant Bernard and Karl Anderson) when Kimo defeated K. Anderson by disqualification in 0:10:27. Rating: *** 1/4 (The Island Boys retained the Tag Team Title.)
What a wild tag title match. Before the match the Island Boys came out and confirmed that they were cleared by the USWA doctors to compete in the match after the attack earlier in the show. Kimo said that if this is the match that Bad Intentions has been waiting for, they better bring everything they have to win it. Late in the match, Kimo was just dominating Karl Anderson while Giant Bernard was still out on his feet from a flurry of punches from OG Ekmo, after a hot tag. It looked like it was just about over when Anderson missed a slingshot close line and was dazed. Kimo was about to hit his finisher and earn the first title defense, until Steve Corino couldn't take it anymore and hit Kimo in the back with a steel chair. Referee Mickey Jay called for the bell as chaos ensued. Latin Lover and Bucanero were watching the match from the backstage monitor, and once Mickey called for the DQ, Bad Intentions continued to lay a beating on the tag team champions. Lover and Bucanero hit the ring and also helped attack the tag champs, knowing now that it will be the Island Boys they will face in Caguas for the titles. As the 4 on 2 attack raged on, Konnan and Raven made their way down to the ring with chairs in hand. Konnan and Raven lay ed out both Bad Intentions and Lover/Bucanero until officials were able to get to the tag champs to check on their condition. These four teams are definitely not done with each other, and we will see The Island Boys defend those tag titles in just three days against Lover and Bucanero.
Dark Match Ahmed Johnson pinned Jun Akiyama after a German suplex in 0:11:18 Rating: *** 3/4 [Steve Corino interfered against Ahmed Johnson.]
Velocity Notes:
A wild scene in the tag team division, as so many teams are looking to win those titles from the Island Boys. The Island Boys have just returned to action after Kimo's injury in winning the titles, but that hasn't stopped all the competition from making verbal challenges, and physical attacks on the champs.
Brian Christopher and Steve Bradley both move on to the next round of our 8 man tournament to find a challenger to face Ahmed Johnson in the unification match for the championship. We will hear from Johnson next week on all that has been taking place in recent weeks. Second round tournament action will continue on October 9th, and the finals will take place as the main event on the 10/10 show from Humacao.

USWA Challenge Carolina, Puerto Rico Taped: 10/7/03 Airs: 10/18/03 Hosts: Lance Russell and Dave Brown
Announcers outside the complex run down highlights of the tour.
Lance Russell and Dave Brown are standing outside the Roberto Climente Sports City, talking about what an honor it is for the USWA to be presenting Challenge TV from this beautiful complex.
Lance says that while we are enjoying our time here, it won't be long until we pack up and head back to the states, but not until after our huge send off show coming to you from Cayey in the Pedro Montanez Stadium. Headlined by Ahmed Johnson the current USWA Global champion, taking on the winner of our on going 8 man tournament to unify the USWA Heavyweight, Southern and Global titles and be crowned the first ever USWA Triple Crown Champion.
Dave Brown says that we will bring the fans first round action in the tournament as Vampiro will take on Abdullah the Butcher in a one on one match for our MAIN EVENT here on Challenge. Lets get inside and get ready for some USWA action on the Puerto Rican Invasion tour!
(Challenge Opening plays.)
Steve Bradley calls out Ahmed Johnson
Steve Bradley hits the ring and asks for a mic. He admits that he came up short in the 8 man tournament, and has put his support behind the man that beat him, Brian Christopher. Bradley says that while the Puerto Rican Invasion tour continues all throughout the country, the men in the tournament are giving their all, while Ahmed Johnson has been sitting back enjoying watching his future opponents beat each other to a pulp.
Bradley challenges Johnson to a one on one match, non title, in Caguas, because he knows that he can give Johnson a run for his money in a one on one match. Bradley states that he's just trying to keep the playing field even as the tournament continues.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Petey Williams pinned Pablo Marquez with the Canadian Destroyer in 0:07:32. Rating: ** 1/4
Petey Williams with another impressive victory in jr. heavyweight competition. After the match Steve Corino came to the ring and told Petey that he has been scouting his talent for some time, and thinks he could be the future of the X-Division. Corino offers him a contract to be the newest member of the Corino family, but Petey Williams tells Corino that it's too late, he has signed a contract with Trinity for her to be his new manager! The fans applaud as Steve Corino is furious in the ring! Trinity comes out and gives Corino a wink and a smile, because she knows she got one over on her managerial rival, Steve Corino.
Video Package: Bad Street Boys & Colon Brothers.
Highlights of Bad Street Boys calling out the Colon Brothers two weeks ago airs, then we review comments made by Eddy and Carly leading into the first match.
Video of the ending of their tag war last week on challenge shows Carly laying a kiss on Daizee Haze, with comments from Joey Matthews suggesting that Carly Colon has the hots for their manager.
A voice over says that the Bad Streets and The Colon Brothers will do battle in six man action as Teddy Hart and Great Sasuke join in the rivalry when we return.
(Commercial)
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match The Bad Street Boys (Christian York and Joey Matthews) and Teddy Hart defeated Great Sasuke, Eddie Colon and Carly Colon when Teddy Hart pinned Colon with the Open Hart Surgery in 0:06:06. Rating: ** 1/4
Teddy Hart looked impressive has he teamed with BSB to defeat the Colon Brothers and The Great Sasuke. Teddy got the pin on Carly with his open heart surgery finisher, and the teams had words after the match. Joey Matthews took the mic and ran down Carly Colon saying he could never be with a woman like Daize Haze! He then continued an attack on a helpless Carly until officials could break it up. Eddie Colon challenged the Back Street Boys to a tag team match for the upcoming show in Caguas, PR. With the stipulation that if they win the match Dazie Haze would be forced to go out on a date with Carly Colon!
Backstage interview with Abdullah The Butcher.
Backstage a very hesitant Lance Wright attempts to get some comments from Abdullah the Butcher, going into tonight's main event,
Abby says that this isn't the first time he has crossed paths with Vampiro, and that it has been too long since his last match in the USWA. As a sign of respect the USWA has placed him in the tournament to represent the people of Puerto Rico.
Abby says he has been here for quite some time, and he knows that in order to represent these people, he needs to physically destroy Vampiro. Abby promises that this match won't be for the weak at heart, because violence is what these people came to see!
Lance says a little prayer for Vampiro, and throws it back to Dave Brown, who is in the ring with Latin Lover and Rey Bucanero!
In ring interview with Latin Lover and Rey Bucanero
Dave Brown is back in the ring with Latin Lover and Rey Bucanero who receive an overwhelmingly positive reaction from the crowd.
Brown says that tomorrow night, Latin Lover and Rey Bucanero will cash in on that proving ground victory in Baltimore when they take on the USWA Tag Team Champions The Island Boys. (The crowd boos the tag champions heavily.)
Lover takes the mic and says a few words in Spanish to fire up the crowd. He then tells Dave Brown that him and Bucanero are treated with respect here in Puerto Rico, and they are going to do everything in their power to not only win those tag titles for themselves, but to do it in front of their fans!
Rey Bucanero gets the crowd on their feet as they are cheering like crazy! Rey said that nobody thought that they would be in a position to challenge for the tag titles, but that's exactly what they will be doing in Caguas. Rey sends a message to the tag team champions, that they will be in for the fight of their lives in that match.
(The Island Boys music hits, and the champs come out to the isle way draped with the tag titles over their shoulder.)
Kimo tells Lover and Bucanero that they don't need the fans in order to beat their ass. Kimo implies that their victory in the proving ground was a fluke, and they are going to prove to the doubters that they are the best team in the USWA!
OG Ekmo screams and yells, as the fans boo the champions out of the building.
Dave Brown concludes the interview hyping the tag title match one more time.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Generacion Dorada (La Mascara and Mascara Dorada) defeated WWC Contingent (Ricky Santana and Fidel Sierra) when Dorada pinned F. Sierra with the Springboard Yoshi Tonic in 0:10:48. Rating: **** [Joey Matthews interfered against Mascara Dorada.]
Awesome high flying action in this tag team matchup. Dorada and Mascara were viewed as super hero's to the Puerto Rican crowd who is very familiar with their careers in Mexico. A victory for Generation Dorada, as the WWC Contingent fall in their first match on the tour.
Alex Shelley runs down Prince Devitt
Backstage Lance Wright meets up with Alex Shelley talking about his opportunity at the X-Division title coming up in Caguas.
Alex says that the rumor is true and he did go to Bill Dundee and force his hand at getting a title shot against Chad Collyer. Alex says he has been in the USWA for a long time. Longer than Collyer, longer than Bobby Fish, and certainly longer than Prince Devitt. He has earned a shot at that title, and he plans on taking that title off Collyer in Caguas.
He then switches gears and brings up Prince Devitt. Shelley says that Devitt has been running around the USWA like he is gods gift to the company. He wants everyone to think he is the best thing going today, but the fact is he is still a young punk, who has a lot of learning to do before he ever gets an opportunity at a title. The rumors about a Jr. Heavyweight division have been lingering for weeks, and the talk of Devitt and Shelley being the face of the division is just a false hope for Devitt fans. The fact is, Shelley is the face of a Jr. Division, and he won't be sharing that with anyone! Especially not a rookie punk who is enjoying his first cup of coffee in this promotion.
Promo for next week on Challenge.
Dave Brown says that Scott Hudson will be back with him next week as USWA Challenge will come from home sweet home, Memphis, Tennessee. We will run down all of the news coming out of the Puerto Rican Invasion tour and will have details on our "Road To Remember". The biggest show of the year for the USWA, A Night to Remember will be just weeks away. No main event has been announced for next week, but once we see the fallout of our final day in Puerto Rico, we should have a great match to announce.
[8 man tournament match]: No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Vampiro pinned Abdullah the Butcher with the Nail In The Coffin in 0:17:44. Rating: *** 1/4
Vampiro survived a bloody main event and will go on to face Harry Smith in semi finals action in Caguas. The crowd was split 50/50 in this one, as Vampiro does still have a following here on the island. Abby attempted to choke out Vampiro, but Vamp was able to escape and hit the nail in the coffin to end our exciting main event match.

USWA Velocity Carolina, PR Taped: October 7th, 2003 Airs: October 18th, 2003 Hosts: Lance Russell and Corey Maclin
Pre Recorded comments from CM Punk discussing today's main event
CM Punk says that tonight is the night that he becomes an A list top player in the USWA. Tonight is the night that he goes from being overlooked, to being overbooked. Tonight he takes the next step in becoming the first ever USWA Triple Crown Champion when he shocks the world and defeats Jun Akiyama!
Steve Corino says that CM Punk is going to finish off Akiyama tonight, and get one back for the Corino Family! Corino claims that any night the Corino Family is in the same arena as Jun Akiyama, he had better watch his back!
The Island Boys hit the ring.
The Island Boys enter the ring to a chorus of boos from the pro Latino crowd.
Kimo says that what Lover and Bucanero did after they defended these titles last week against Bad Intentions was disrespectful. Attempting to get the upper hand on them, and take them out of action once again was the wrong move going into their tag team title match. Kimo says that they will defend the titles for a second time on this tour, and when it's all over, they will still raise the tag team titles high in the air.
Kimo says that they also won't be caught off guard by Steve Corino and his Bad Intentions team, because they have a plan. Kimo invites out Konnan and Raven to the ring.
As Tequila effect make their way to the ring Kimo tells them that they have a little deal they would like to make with them. Kimo tells Konnan and Raven that they know that all year they have been trying to win gold in the USWA. Raven tried so hard he lost the opportunity to contend for a title for the rest of 2003. Konnan has tasted the success of the Global title, but at this point it's been so long it might as well never have happened. Kimo tells Tequila effect that if they can prevent any interference from Bad Intentions during their tag title defense in Caguas, then they will offer them up a title title shot.
Konnan and Raven think it over, but agree that it is the best thing to do in order to receive a title shot.
The 4 men shake hands as The Island Boys music plays... Bill Dundee then asks for the music to be cut off and makes his way to the ring.
Dundee says that they might be the tag team champions, but the match making is still a power he holds. Dundee says he has no problems with the deal, but Konnan and Raven will have to earn that title shot. Dundee proposes a 4 man tag match on the final show in Puerto Rico.
It will be Bad Intentions teaming with Latin Lover and Bucanero, since the four of them seem to be getting along so well as of late. They will take on The Island Boys and Tequila Effect. In the match, whoever gets the pinfall will receive a title shot on the biggest stage of them all, A Night to Remember! If the current USWA Tag Champs, (either The Island Boys or Lover and Bucanero) get the pinfall. They can name their opponents for A Night to Remember, and the match stipulation!
Dundee says that the ante just got raised gentlemen, and walked out from the ring.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Latin Lover and Rey Bucanero defeated WWC Contingent (Ricky Santana and Fidel Sierra) when L. Lover defeated R. Santana via pinfall in 0:15:00. Rating: **
In a warm up to the tag title match, Lover and Bucanero defeated Ricky Santana and Fidel Sierra in the opening match of Velocity. Lover took the mic and said that when they win the tag titles from The Island Boys, it will be the biggest night of their lives to become champions in front of these fans.
Steve Corino confronts Trinity.
Backstage Corino catches up with Trinity. He explains his disgust at her slimy tactics to go behind his back and sign Petey Williams out from under him!
Trinity stands her ground and tells Corino that what she did was fair, and he is just jealous that he doesn't have a young up and coming junior heavyweight in his stable!
Corino defends his men, and as the argument grows, Corino vows to sign one of the baddest female wrestlers in the world to come to the USWA and get rid of her once and for all!
Trinity tells Corino that he needs to get a woman to do the job he couldn't do himself. Corino fires back saying he could beat her ass with two hands tied behind his back!
With that comment Trinity pauses for a second, and then tells Corino if he's man enough he will back up that claim and face her with his hands tied, right here next week on Velocity.
Event Center: Puerto Rican Invasion 2003
Lance Wright is in the event center and talks about the big shows still to come in the Puerto Rican Invasion tour 2003.
October 9th the USWA hits Caguas, Puerto Rico in the El Gimnasio Bairo. A few big matches have already been signed. The biggest being, Ahmed Johnson taking on the challenge of Steve Bradley. The Global Champion will be in action in Caguas.

Also just signed for Caguas, take a look at this, The Colon Brothers, Carly and Eddie take on The Bad Street Boys. If the Colon's win this one, Daziee Haze will be forced to go out on a date with Carly. We received comments from Carly earlier today.
(Video of Carly Colon airs as he tells Daziee Haze that after the tag match in Caguas, he has a very romantic evening planned for her, as he is going to show her all the best places to wine and dine on the Puerto Rican Island. He teases her saying that once she spends a night with Carly, she won't want to go back to the United States!)

Special Report: Jr. Heavyweight Division and Television Title.
Corey Maclin brings us this special report regarding the USWA Title situations.
As we all know the USWA has been rumored to be opening up a Jr. Heavyweight division. Exclusive to a weight restriction, that weight being 220 lbs. It was heavily rumored that a Jr. title would debut here in Puerto Rico, but as of now that hasn't happened. The rumors can be lay ed to rest, as the USWA President Bill Dundee finally confronted the questions that were lurking with the title changes here in the company.
(Video of previously recorded comments with Bill Dundee.)
Dundee confirms that the USWA is adding a Jr. Heavyweight division, but we will not be adding a new championship. As October 10th, 2003, The USWA's prestigious X-Division title will come with a 220 lbs weight restriction.
Dundee explains that the title has too much history and meaning to be shelved for a new title. Every January the USWA puts on a tournament for the X-Division, this year, we can confirm that tournament will take place, but a multiple day round robin tournament is still being discussed as a format change, due to the overwhelming popularity of the G1 Global tournament this past June.
Along with the unification of the Global, Southern, and Heavyweight title, which will have no restriction, the USWA will be re-establish an old title in the history of the promotion. The USWA Television title will soon be back in the USWA, and the new champion will be crowned on A Night to Remember, in a one night battle royal for the title! Participants have not been named, but it will be one of the many highlights of the biggest show of the year this upcoming November.
(Back to Corey)
Maclin says that this is some major news for the promotion as we look to close out 2003 with a bang!
Matt Cross pinned Teddy Hart with the Death From Above in 0:12:21. Rating: *** 3/4
Matt Cross with an impressive win over T. Hart in Jr's action. Cross will soon be crossing paths with one Petey Williams on the Puerto Rican Invasion tour.
Promo for next weeks Velocity.
Lance Russell announces that next week Velocity heads back home to Memphis, and it won't be a show you will want to miss. We will get comments from the new Triple Crown champion of the USWA, along with more details on the "Road To Remember" as we will start the build to one of the best nights of the year in professional wrestling, A Night to Remember!
Ahmed Johnson discusses his opponent for the final day of the tour.
Corey Maclin introduces the Global Champion Ahmed Johnson to the fans. Johnson comes to the ring with the title around his shoulder.
Corey opens the conversation telling Johnson that the 8 man tournament is underway here in Puerto Rico, and we won't be leaving without crowning the first ever Triple Crown champion.
Johnson tells Corey that the Heavyweight title has been the one that he hasn't yet been able to grasp, but it is only 1 match away from being a reality. Johnson said that the competition in the tournament is bringing out the best of the best in the USWA, and that Akiyama, CM Punk, Christopher, Harry Smith, or Vampiro would all be worthy opponents when it comes to crowning a new champion, the problem is, that all those titles are leaving Puerto Rico with him!
Corey said that this morning on USWA Challenge, Steve Bradley had some interesting things to say, lets take a look.
(Video plays of Bradley accusing Johnson of not wrestling during the tour.)
Johnson responds by telling Bradley he has signed on to face him in Caguas, and he has an open contract for ANYONE to step up to the plate the next night in Humacao. Johnson says that he has no problems getting his hands dirty as his future opponents are out there busting their ass as well. Johnson's last words for Steve Bradley are to prepare for a long night, because once he gets hit with the plunge, he won't need to worry about anything other than finding his way to the nearest hospital!
(Johnson's music hits as he poses on the turnbuckle with the title. Maclin throws to a commercial.)
[8 man tournament match] Jun Akiyama pinned CM Punk with the Blue Thunder Bomb in 0:10:51. Rating: ****
Once again the G1 Global winner looks unstoppable in this tournament, as he attempts to become the first ever USWA Triple Crown champion. Akiyama gets another victory over a member of the Corino Family, but also made it very clear to Ahmed Johnson, that he has him on his mind. With this victory we now know that Brian Christopher and Jun Akiyama will meet in the semi finals of the 8 man Tournament.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Petey Williams pinned Matt Cross with the Canadian Destroyer in 0:08:19. Rating: ***

No-Countout-No-DQ-MatchThe Island Boys (OG Ekmo and Kimo) defeated Latin Lover and Rey Bucanero when Ekmo pinned L. Lover with the Ekmo Drop in 0:09:16. Rating: *** (The Island Boys retained the Tag Team Title.)
The Island Boys leave hostile territory with the titles still in their possession. The power and size of the tag champs seemed to be too much for Lover and Bucanero in this rematch. We now know that the Island Boys will bring the titles into the 8 man tag match, and Lover and Bucanero will get the opportunity for a 3rd tie breaker match with the tag team champions, if they can get the pinfall victory on the final day of the tour.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Ladder Match Alex Shelley defeated Chad Collyer in 0:14:57. Rating: *** 1/4 (Alex Shelley won the X-Division Title.)
A shocking victory as we crown a new USWA X-Division champion in Alex Shelley. Shelley took the mic and goat-ed Collyer into upping the ante in the X-Division match to a ladder match. He was able to get Collyer to agree, and beat one of the bigger names in the company to hold his first ever USWA TITLE! We will learn more about this in the upcoming weeks.
Dean Malenko made Doug Williams submit to an armlock hammerlock submission in 0:05:33. Rating: ****
Malenko gets a quick victory over Doug Williams in this singles match. Fans applauded both men for an excellent matchup.
[8 Man Tournament Semi Finals]: No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Jun Akiyama pinned Brian Christopher with the Blue Thunder Bomb in 0:10:28. Rating: *** 1/4
Akiyama hits his Blue Thunder Bomb finisher to put away Brian Christopher and earn his way into the finals of the tournament to face Vampiro tomorrow night. This one on one match between two fan favorites should be wild tomorrow night.
Jun Akiyama talks about heading to the finals.
Backstage Corey Maclin catches up with Akiyama.

Corey throws it to Lance Wright standing by with Vampiro.
Vampiro talks about tonight's big win and Akiyama as his next opponent.
Lance asks Vampiro what is going through his head as we head to Humacao to determine the tournament winner?
Vampiro said that the crowd support he has received here in Puerto Rico has been overwhelming. He knows that with the fans in his corner, the destiny of Jun Akiyama will have to wait another day, because he plans on taking it to Ahmed Johnson and becoming the champion. Vampiro then tells Akiyama to get some sleep because he will see him tomorrow night!
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Ahmed Johnson pinned Steve Bradley with the Pearl River Plunge in 0:12:39. Rating: *** 1/2
The Global Champion lived up to his word and hit Bradley with the Pearl River Plunge. No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Carly Colon pinned Christian York with the Backcracker in 0:18:42. Rating: *** 3/4 [Daizee Haze interfered against Carly Colon.]
Before the matchup, Carly commented about his date with Daziee that apparently took place last night. He claimed that she was a "feisty one", but that it was the best night of her life! York attempted to defend the honor of his manager, but he wasn't able to get the job done. Haze came down and tried to distract Colon, but in a mis communication, Haze missed a slap to Carly, hit York and allowed Colon to hit the backcracker for the victory.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Great Sasuke pinned Juventud Guerrera with the Thunder Fire Power Bomb in 0:09:16. Rating: *** 3/4
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Bad Intentions (Giant Bernard and Karl Anderson) defeated America's Most Wanted (James Storm and Chris Harris) when K. Anderson pinned James Storm after the The Magic Killer in 0:12:46. Rating: *** 1/2 [Steve Corino interfered against Chris Harris.]

Bobby Fish made it through the gauntlet of WWC superstars to get a victory in the special attraction battle royal. Fish continues to prove he is one of the best in the USWA.
Chad Collyer defeated Steve Bradley by disqualification in 0:06:27. Rating: *** 1/4
Ahmed Johnson pinned Abdullah the Butcher after a roundhouse right in 0:07:35. Rating: -* 1/4
It was a wild semi-main event, as Ahmed Johnson defeats Abdullah as he waits to face the winner of the 8 man tournament. Johnson wasn't able to get The Butcher in a pearl river plunge, but he did deliver a knock out blow with a roundhouse right. It wasn't an instant classic, but Johnson continues his winning ways on the tour.
[8 Man Tournament Final]: No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Jun Akiyama pinned Vampiro with the Blue Thunder Bomb in 0:09:12. Rating: *** 1/2
Jun Akiyama gets the victory over Vampiro and will face Johnson for the title at our final show! Vampiro didn't use any underhanded tactics, and even shook the hand of Akiyama, claiming he was the better man in this match. We now know it will be Jun Akiyama vs Ahmed Johnson for the Triple Crown championship!
USWA Superstar Hotline:
- Teddy Hart has given the office his notice that he will be leaving the company. - Doug Williams contract was not renewed and he will be finishing up with the promotion this month.
- Karl Anderson and the USWA came to an agreement on a two year contract, the shocker was that a 2 year deal was also offered to his partner Giant Bernard, who didn't want to negotiate and will be leaving the company. Bernard leaving really hurts upcoming plans, as Bad Intentions were going to be in line for another title shot in the future. The USWA will keep the doors open for his return at any time.

LOL, Wait until you see the final day show. I just simmed it this afternoon, but need to do the write up. I mean, I guess it does help the ratings when the guys kick out multiple times of each others finisher, and three titles are on the line. ...AND you face Jun Akiyama.

USWA Puerto Rican Invasion Tour 2003 Cayey, Puerto Rico @ Pedro Montanez Stadium October 11th, 2003
Casket No-Countout-No-DQ-Match Vampiro defeated Abdullah the Butcher in 0:20:51. Rating: ** 1/4
Vampiro came out to thank the fans for all of their support during the tour. While this was going on Abdullah the Butcher made his way down to the ring pushing a casket with Vamprio's logo on it. Vampiro said he was sick of the Butcher and was going to put an end to him once and for all. Vampiro gets the victory, placing Abby in the casket after hitting him with the nail in the coffin finisher.
Generacion Dorada (La Mascara and Mascara Dorada) defeated Eddie Colon and Carly Colon when Dorada pinned Carly Colon with the Springboard Yoshi Tonic in 0:02:40. Rating: *** 1/4 [Joey Matthews interfered against Carly Colon.]
Joey Matthews made his way to the ring as soon as this match began. Dorada and Mascara looked like the could pull off the upset on their own, but it was Matthews who got involved hitting Carly in the back with a chair. This led to Dorada getting the pinfall victory for Generation Dorada. Matthews threatened Carly to never put his hands on Daziee Haze again! Jealousy is a big factor in this feud ever since Carly and Daziee went on their date.
Ricky Santana pinned Teddy Hart with the Diamond Cutter in 0:09:55. Rating: *** 1/4
WWC's Ricky Santana gets a victory in singles action over Teddy Hart. The fans were on their feet for the conclusion of the match. Teddy missed a shoulderblock, which then led to Ricky doing a second rope diamond cutter for the 3 count.
Two-out-of-three-Falls Match Alex Shelley beat Prince Devitt 2 falls to 0: x A. Shelley beat Devitt via the Shell Shock in 0:09:36 x A. Shelley beat Devitt via the Shell Shock in 0:12:47 Rating: *** 1/2
A look at the future of the X-Division, as champion Alex Shelley challenged Devitt to a non title match. 2/3 falls in this one and Shelley looked impressive. The champion hit Devitt with the Shell Shock to win the match 2 falls to 0.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match The Island Boys (OG Ekmo and Kimo) and The Tequila Effect (Raven and Konnan) defeated Bad Intentions (Giant Bernard and Karl Anderson), Latin Lover and Rey Bucanero when Konnan made L. Lover submit to the Tequila Sunrise in 0:15:23. Rating: *** 3/4
The stakes were high in this 8 man tag match. The winner of the fall would get a shot at the titles at A Night to Remember, OR if The Island Boys get the fall, they can name their opponents and match type. Konnan was able to finish off his rival in Latin Lover when he put him in the Tequila Sunrise for the submission victory. This means that Raven and Konnan will have an opportunity to capture gold, if they can defeat the Island Boys for the titles.
Match with Managers Banned From Ringside Bobby Fish pinned Chad Collyer with the Falcon Arrow in 0:08:32. Rating: ** 1/2
Two former X-Division champions went at it one on one with no interference. Chad Collyer asked for this match, but demanded no managers at ringside. Dean Malenko, Steve Corino and Frank Morell were all barred from this matchup. This was a dream match for fans of technical wrestling. Collyer had Fish in an armbar, but couldn't get the submission. Fish was able to power out and turn the tides putting Chad Collyer in the Falcon Arrow for the victory.
[USWA Triple Crown Championship match]: No-Countout-No-DQ-Match for the vacant Heavyweight Title Ahmed Johnson pinned Jun Akiyama after a gutwrench suplex in 0:22:47. Rating: ***** (Ahmed Johnson won the Heavyweight Title.) (Ahmed Johnson won the Southern Title.) (Ahmed Johnson retained the Global Title.)
The match will go down in USWA History as one of the most important, and one of the best. With all three titles on the line, Ahmed Johnson found the will to win this main event. Johnson was the recipient of multiple blue thunder bombs, but he kept kicking out. To Akiyama's credit, he at one point looked like he was going to win when Johnson was about to pass out in a choke hold. Johnson had to hit 4 pearl river plunges before Akiyama would finally lose the match. It was an amazing moment when Johnson took the titles and raised them to the air.
USWA Backstage Notes:
Ahmed Johnson escapes Puerto Rico as the new USWA Triple Crown Champion. It was a wild match, but a scene we won't soon forget as Johnson was draped in the gold as the pyro went off behind him. Ahmed Johnson made it back to the big show, and now holds the most prestigious pro wrestling title in the United States.
Carly Colon is in discussions with the USWA to come to the United States and work for the remainder of the year. Nothing has been announced as of this time.
With the roster in a state of flux right now, Doug Williams, Giant Bernard, and Teddy Hart finished up their obligations to the company with this tour. Look for a former USWA superstar to return to the USWA as soon as we get to Memphis. This man was in the USWA in 2001 and hasn't been back, but he has signed a two year contract with the promotion and looks to make a big impact on the main event scene shortly.
With the Puerto Rican Invasion tour 2003 in the books, the next international tour won't take place until February/March of 2004. Mexico, Canada, and even a European tour are all in the running for the 2004 tour.
The USWA will be returning to Memphis for Television, and headed right into our biggest show of the year A Night to Remember. The tapings and a stop at the Mid South Coliseum is being dubbed "A Road To Remember". Once we finish up the big Pay Per View Event, the USWA will be presenting it's first ever Tag Team Round Robin Tournament for DECEMBER. More information on that in the coming weeks.

I was shocked to see the 5 stars myself. The Johnson I'm using is just the export right off of TNM7.com's site so it's not like he has been changed in any way.
I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that 3 titles were on the line, and I did book the multiple finishers from both men to be kicked out.
I like Ahmed as the champ for now. I think he will fit in just fine until Taz comes back. The story really writes itself. Johnson injured Taz, Taz loses the belt, Johnson steals Taz destiny of being the first ever triple crown champ, Johnson also beat Akiyama, who was the guy Taz wanted to face in the 13th defense since the day he won the title. Johnson has stolen Taz dream.
It might be a fun ride for the champ now, but he will have HELL to pay when Taz returns.
I've been holding off on any interviews with Taz or talk about him to let Johnson have his time in the sun. With Taz injured it gives Johnson a great path to hold down a main event spot.
Now the new hire who will debut at the next TV taping is a friend of Taz, and will start to help build the momentum for Taz return.
Taz is currently injured for 4 cards, but since I multiply 5 cards to 1...it's still won't be till 2004 until he is back.

I should be back in the swing of things with this circuit soon. I got married in April, then did the 10 day honeymoon. When I returned I'm now on a 12 day work trip to Denver. Brought TNM with me and ran a card, but haven't had time to write it up.
Circuit isn't dead!

Brian says he doesn't quite know what CM Punks problem is with him, but he has been in this business long enough to know a big mouth when he sees one. At the Mid South Coliseum, the fans will be in his corner, and they are going to make short work out of CM Punk.) Saturn says he is here for one thing. Revenge. Revenge for Taz since he can't do it himself. Saturn says that he isn't afraid of Ahmed Johnsons power, he isn't afraid of anything that Johnson might do to him. Saturn leaves the ring to a very shocked USWA audience. Petey Williams pinned La Mascara after a power bomb in 0:04:06. Rating: ***With Trinity at his side, Petey Williams looked great in singles competition against La Mascara. Steve Corino made his way to the ring after the match and applauded Trinity for snatching up Petey Williams from him. He then says that he hopes Williams didn't use all his energy tonight on Velocity, because he has signed a contract with a mystery opponent for Petey Williams for tomorrow night at the Mid South Coliseum! Event Center: November to RememberLance Wright is in the Night to Remember Event Center. Lance tells the fans to put November 30th on their calendar as the next time the USWA will return to Pay Per View from Arlington, TX. A Night to Remember will have seven big matches to be announced in the upcoming weeks. One match that we can announce is the TAG TEAM TITLE match. In Puerto Rico, Raven and Konnan took the deciding pinfall in the eight man tag match to earn that tag team title match at the biggest show of the year. The Island Boys will try to defend those titles against opponents they have never stepped into the ring with. (Comments from Raven play. Raven says that he and Konnan have waited all year for the opportunity to have gold around their waist. Their failures in the beginning of the year, have taken them full circle into a friendship that can't be broken, and new found success in the tag team division. Raven claims at A Night to Remember the destiny of both Konnan and Raven will be fulfilled.) Lance says to continue to follow USWA Challenge and Velocity in the upcoming weeks as details of the show will soon be available. Jun Akiyama makes a challenge for A Night to RememberJun Akiyama makes his way to the ring. Akiyama takes the mic and says that his match against Ahmed Johnson was one of the hardest challenges he has ever faced. He said that he feels like he let down many fans and questioned his own fighting spirit when he lost that match. Akiyama then goes on to challenge Ahmed Johnson to a rematch for the Unified Title at A Night to Remember. Jun asks Johnson to accept if he feels that he has the courage to face him inside the unforgiving steel! Akiyama drops the mic as the fans chant for a rematch. Vampiro defeated Karl Anderson by disqualification in 0:04:58. Rating: ** 1/4 [Christopher Daniels interfered against Vampiro.]Big match for the Corino family as Karl Anderson tried to steal one from Vampiro. Christopher Daniels made to to the ring during the match and eventually took a chair to the back of Vampiro in front of referee Bill Rush. Rush called for the DQ as Daniels and Anderson gave the boots to Vampiro. Daniels walked to the back with both Anderson and Corino. The Island Boys talk about facing Tequila Effect at A Night to Remember. Backstage Corey Maclind catches up with the tag team champions. Corey asks for comments on Konnan and Raven earning a title shot at A Night to Remember by taking the pinfall in Puerto Rico. Ekmo tells Corey that they earned the match fair and square and that the Island Boys had the opportunity to control their own destiny at the Pay Per View, but couldn't get it done. Kimo tells both Konnan and Raven that they don't have any problems with the two of them, and that on November 30th we will see who the best team is. CM Punk defeated King Fale by countout in 0:09:56.Rating: ** 1/2 [Steve Corino interfered against King Fale.]Corino again gets involved in the match, costing Fale the opportunity to grab a victory from CM Punk. After the match Corino and Punk tried to finish off Fale, but Brian Christopher came down to the ring and cleared house. Christopher told Punk to get ready for tomorrow night! Christian York calls out Daziee Haze for details on her night out in Puerto Rico. The Bad Street Boys were brought out to the announcers table to discuss their upcoming match with Americas Most Wanted at the Mid South Coliseum tomorrow night. Joey Matthews told Scott Hudson that tomorrow is a big match in the careers of the Bad Street Boys because Americas Most Wanted is one of the top teams in the USWA. As Joey continued to talk about the match Christian York had to stop him and change the subject. York says that he can't get over the fact that Daziee Haze went out on a date with Carly Colon while they were in Puerto Rico. York calls out Haze and confronted her on exactly what took place the evening of their little romance? Haze said she didn't want to talk about it, but York wouldn't let it go. It got to a heated point where even his tag partner Joey Matthews told him to let it go. Matthews closed out the interview telling AMW to be ready for some stiff competition at the Mid South Coliseum! Juventud Guerrera pinned Brian XL after a flying cross body press in 0:07:35.Rating: *** 1/2
Steve Corino came out after the match and told Trinity and Petey Williams to take a long hard look at what they just saw, because Juventud Guerrera is going to do the Corino Family a little favor, and take out Petey Williams tomorrow night at the Coliseum! Daniels confirms joining the Corino Family.Backstage Lance Wright catches up with Christopher Daniels and asks him to explain his actions earlier when he took a chair to the back of Vampiro. Daniels tells Wright that Vampiro thinks he has a lot of momentum in his corner after a big victory over Abdullah the Butcher in Puerto Rico. He thinks he is going to return to the states and just be the next hand picked opponent for a title shot. Daniels said he is here to prove that theory wrong! Daniels then confirms he has signed on to be the newest member with a contract with the Corino Family, and the first order of Family business is to put Vampiro in his place! Perry Saturn defeated Jun Akiyama by disqualification in 0:05:32. Rating: ** 1/2 [Ahmed Johnson interfered against Perry Saturn.]Perry Saturn apparently didn't get enough out of his first appearance tonight on Velocity. Saturn hit the ring after the interview with Christopher Daniels backstage. Saturn said that he heard Jun Akiyama come out here and challenge Johnson to a cage match at A Night to Remember. Saturn again explains how that spot was meant for TAZ and that Akiyama shouldn't even be in the running for a rematch. Akiyama came out and took offense of that comment. Akiyama and Saturn argued some more until they decided they would settle their differences tonight in the ring! The match was made, but didn't get a real winner as the champion Ahmed Johnson came out and blindsided Saturn causing a disqualification victory for Saturn. Preview of next weeks Velocity action.Next week on Velocity, we will have all the fall out of the RETURN of Perry Saturn to the USWA. Also, just signed by Bill Dundee, Vampiro will go one on one with Christopher Daniels. Backstage Notes: The return of Perry Saturn has everyone in the USWA excited. His first run in the USWA didn't really accomplish much, and was really under the radar. This time around he will be put right into the main event scene and should be a breath of fresh air to the title picture. Mascara Dorada has quit the USWA effective immediately. He was offered a nice deal to return to Mexico and continue training in the CMLL system. La Mascara has an out clause that will let him leave the promotion if he chooses to due to his tag team partners departure, but as of television, La Mascara has decided to stay and join the Jr. Heavyweight division. "A Road to Remember" will be the theme of the next 7 shows, as we promote the biggest Pay Per View of the year, A Night to Remember. The USWA roster has been seeing a lot of turnover. Two more contracts are up for renewal. Harry Smith and Steve Bradley are close to the end of their deals. It has been rumored that the USWA has no plans to bring either men back, which is why both were absent from this weekends television. Bill Dundee has stated he will have another meeting with Steve Bradley to see if they can work out a deal that both parties can agree on.

USWA Challenge Memphis, TN Taped: 10/21/03 Airs: 11/1/03 Hosts: Scott Hudson and Dave Brown
Announcers open the show
The camera zooms in on Dave Brown and Scott Hudson as they thank the fans in attendance for coming out today.
Dave Brown talks about how nice it has been to be here in Memphis, the true home of USWA wrestling.
Scott Hudson says the USWA is in the middle of "The Road to Remember" as we present some high quality action, and prepare for A Night to Remember on November 30th from Arlington, Texas. Scott talks of some of the high quality action that is schedule for Challenge this morning, as Bill Dundee has signed a HUGE six man tag match. USWA Unified champion Ahmed Johnson will team with The USWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS The Island Boys, to take on Perry Saturn, Chad Collyer, and Dean Malenko.
Dave Brown says that Bill Dundee didn't stop there, because Jun Akiyama will also go one on one with former Corino family stablemate, Bobby Fish in our semi-main event. Not only that, but we will have plenty of details on our next mid south coliseum show on November 11th.
(Announcers throw it to a commercial break.)
X-Division Champion talks about upcoming challenges.
(Back from commercial and out comes The X-Division champion Alex Shelley.)
Dave Brown asks Shelley what he's doing out here since he isn't scheduled for the show. Shelley says that is part of the problem with this television show. Alex says he hasn't been part of the show since they were in Puerto Rico, because the talk of the town is the new kid in the X-Division, Petey Williams, OR it's how much talent and the sky is the LIMIT for Prince Devitt. Shelley reminds the fans that he has been in the USWA for quite awhile, he has paid his dues to this organization and it's FINALLY his time on top of the mountain. Shelley goes on to say that he never needed help from STEVE CORINO, he never asked for guidance from Trinity, or any of the other managers in the USWA. He has won the title all on his own, and plans on keeping it for a long time.
Dave Brown says that Bill Dundee has been making the matches as of late, and he has promised that the X-Division title will be highlighted much more, due to the unification of the Global, Southern, and Heavyweight titles. He then informs Alex that he will be defending that title against La Mascara on Velocity tonight!
Alex says that the X-Division is starting to shine, and he is the brightest star in the division. La Mascara will be just another stepping stone on his way to a hall of fame career.
(Shelley walks out as Dave Brown kicks it to Lance Wright with a special report.)
Special Report: Tag Team Division
Lance Storm talks about the current tag team division scene in the USWA.
Bill Dundee has been putting some real time and effort into the future of the USWA Tag Team Division. It is rumored that a December round robin tag tournament will be installed and announced in the future. This round robin is coming off the heels of the popularity of this summers Global Tournament, won by Jun Akiyama.
Details of the teams, and the point system is still being discussed.
As for the USWA Tag Team Champions the Island Boys, they won the titles at our last Pay Per View Event, Global Warfare. After the match Kimo went down with an injury that would keep them from defending the titles for a few weeks. Upon his return, Bad Intentions did receive a title match against the Island Boys in Puerto Rico on the October 11th edition of Velocity. They were unable to win back the titles.
Latin Lover and Rey Bucanero shocked the world winning a proving ground match against the tag team champions, and earned a spot in a big 8 man tag for the final night of the Puerto Rican tournament. Konnan and Raven won the fall and have earned a tag team title shot at A Night to Remember, but the real question is, will the Island Boys still be the champions on November 30th? Bill Dundee has informed some insiders that he has a MYSTERY team that will face the Island Boys at the Mid South Coliseum on November 9th and the titles WILL be on the line. We will learn more about that in our Event Center later tonight.
With the recent departing of both Mascara Dorada and Giant Bernard, two teams are now gone from the USWA, but Americas Most Wanted still seems to be the team looking to face the winners of the tag match at A Night to Remember. The landscape of the division could also change drastically as we prepare for the tag team round robin tournament coming up in December.
Christopher Daniels and Steve Corino discuss upcoming match with Vampiro.
Scott Hudson brings out Christopher Daniels, who is lead out by Steve Corino.
Hudson talks about tonight's VELOCITY main event, as he takes on Vampiro!
Daniels says that him and Vampiro have a very public history with each other. Vampiro never liked Daniels since he won the global title at Heatwave last year. Now the tides have turned, and he has some fans cheering for him, and Daniels has established himself as a full blown member of the CORINO FAMILY!
Tomorrow night Vampiro is going to learn that Daniels is the better man, always has been, always will be.
The Tequila Effect (Raven and Konnan) defeated America's Most Wanted (James Storm and Chris Harris) when Raven pinned C. Harris with the Evenflow DDT in 0:07:47. Rating: *** 1/4
Americas Most Wanted came out talking about how they should be the number one contenders and get a title shot at A Night to Remember, but all that talk came to an end when Konnan came out, accepted a match and agreed to put up the chance at the title shot for A Night to Remember. AMW couldnt back away, and The Tequila Effect proved in the ring why they are getting that match at AN2R.
Bobby Fish and Jun Akiyama battled to a draw in 15:00 Rating: **** 1/4 [Steve Corino and Frank Morell interfered against Jun Akiyama.]
Fish came out to prove he is a legit contender for the Unified title, and tonight he went the distance with former friend Jun Akiyama. Corino's camp did everything in their power to distract Akiyama, but they couldnt get the pin. Ahmed Johnson looked on from the announcers position, but never did get involved.
Event Center: Mid South Coliseum 11.09.03
Lance Wright welcomes the fans to the event center and talks about the next event taking place at the Mid South Coliseum! November 9th, the USWA will be back and the MAIN EVENT is signed.
Unified champion Ahmed Johnson will take on Perry Saturn in an ANYTHING GOES MATCH. Perry Saturn, good friends of former champion Taz, has been vocal since his arrival to the USWA on the way Taz has been handled since his injury. Saturn looks to give Johnson a real challenge, shortly before A Night to Remember!
In other action, Bobby Fish will take on Jun Akiyama one on one, NO TIME LIMIT! and to a positive finish. WE WILL see a winner in this one.
As mentioned in our Special Update earlier, The ISLAND BOYS will defend the USWA Tag team champions against a mystery team, hand picked by President Bill Dundee.
All these matches along with more to be announced in the coming weeks.
Two-out-of-three-Falls Match With Captain's Rules Chad Collyer, Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn beat The Island Boys (OG Ekmo and Kimo) and Ahmed Johnson 2 falls to 1: x A. Johnson beat D. Malenko via the Pearl River Plunge in 0:11:09 x C. Collyer beat A. Johnson via a DDT in 0:17:05 Rating: *** 1/2

Brian Christopher made the save, cleaning the ring of the Corino family, and eventually shaking hands with Vampiro. Chad Collyer & Malenko discuss Perry Saturns recent actions.
Backstage Chad Collyer tells Malenko he thinks that Saturn has snapped. Malenko tries to ignore it, but he agrees that Saturn has brought an attitude to the USWA that he has never seen from him before. Malenko seems upset at Collyer for not taking a shot at Johnson's title at the Coliseum, and opening the doors for Saturn.
(Saturn walks in on the conversation as Collyer and Malenko stop talking.)
Saturn says he was seconds away from finishing off the Unified champion, and says that he will make sure he has another clash with Johnson before A Night to Remember!
Tequilla Effect talk Island Boys mystery opponents.
Camera focuses in on Konnan and Raven talking backstage. Konnan talks about how confident they feel going into the match after the six man victory at the Mid South Coliseum. The question everyone wants answered is, who is Bill Dundee going to bring to the Coliseum on November 9th to face The Island Boys?
Raven says that his year has been filled with disappointment, but at A Night to Remember when Konnan and himself leave the arena with the tag team titles, all of that disappointment will be a distant memory.
Konnan makes a guarantee that Tequilla Effect will be at the Coliseum on November 9th and will see first hand what Bill Dundee has in mind!
Mid South Coliseum Event Center
Lance Wright is in the Mid South Coliseum event center recapping the show that took place a few weeks ago.
Lance reviewed footage of our Main Event, which was scheduled to be Collyer vs Johnson for the title, but Chad didn't make it to the show. Perry Saturn filled in and took an aggressive style to the reigning champion. Johnson was stunned at several points in the match, but was able to hit the Pearl River Plunge after Saturn attempted to grab a chair from ringside.
Lance says that the USWA will be back at the Coliseum on November 9th and a rematch is in the works as we speak. More details will be announced tonight on Velocity.
We have also been informed that Carly Colon, who participated in the Puerto Rican tour, has accepted the challenge of Christian York for a one on one fight at the Coliseum. The USWA received this tape from Carly earlier this week.
(Comments from Carly Colon...)
Colon tells York that he has been hearing the things he says about him on television, and the fact is the Bad Street Boys are still angry about their unsuccessful trip to Puerto Rico. Carly says he will be at the arena, no Eddie Colon this time, just man vs man. Carly reminds York he already beat him in an anything goes match, so he will be in the arena, but he will pick the stipulations this time!

He has also made it apparent that he has his sites set on the USWA Champion, Ahmed Johnson.
A Night to Remember event center
Lance Wright runs down all the details of our next PPV event on Sunday night, November 30th from Arlington Texas.
He mentions the first ever 1 on 1 inter gender match to take place on the show as manager/ and former tag team champion, Steve Corino, steps in the ring with Trinity.
(Comments from Trinity)
Trinity says that Corino has been a thorn in her side since he decided to be a manager in the USWA. She said that she finally got one up on him when she signed Petey Williams of the X-Division to an exclusive contract, and at A Night To Remember, she is going to get her hands on Corino once and for all. She says she will make him wish he never got in her way.
Lance Wright then says that The Corino family is going to have their hands full, as Vampiro will go one on one with Christopher Daniels. Lance mentions last weeks Velocity main event that broke down in chaos when VAMPIRO was attacked by most of the Corino Family members.
(VAMPIRO comments)

Vamprio tells Christopher Daniels that at A Night to Remember, he will dread the day he took advice from Steve Corino and signed to go one on one with Vampiro!

Vampiro and Christopher agreed to partner up against the Corino family and took a victory in tonight's Main Event. Bobby Fish attacked Brian Christopher as he was left laying outside the ring at one point in the match, and constant interference from Steve Corino got him removed from ringside late in the match. Christopher and Vampiro pulled out the victory once order was maintained at ringside, and they look to be the only two on the USWA roster who have been able to put a stop to the Corino Family!

This may have been something that you've discussed before, but if you have, I have forgotten it. How exactly did you come about this roster? I ask because for me personally, I just don't care about most of these guys. It's nothing to do with your booking - I like your angles and the way you write. It just takes me a lot to get through some of this because I just don't like guys like Vampiro, Raven, Konnan, etc. So thought I'd get some perspective from you and their appeal to you.

Saturn talks about how close he was to finishing off Ahmed Johnson and taking that title away from him at the Coliseum. Saturn goes on to talk about Johnsons disrespect of Taz, and the lack of brawlers he has faced in his career. Saturn challenges Johnson to a rematch at the Coliseum on November 9th. The only difference this time, is it will be an ANYTHING GOES match! no count outs, no dq's and falls count anywhere in the building. A Night to Remember event CenterLance Wright reminds the fans about our next PPV event from Arlington, Texas. Jun Akiyama will step into the cage with Ahmed Johnson. Lance says that Akiyama is scheduled to talk with Lance Russell in a matter of minutes to discuss this matchup. Lance recaps the Steve Corino/Trinity relationship, and talks about how they will face off 1 on 1 at A Night to Remember. Lance also says that NEXT WEEK here on Velocity, Bill Dundee has told us he will be bringing to town a Texas LEGEND who will play a roll at A Night to Remember. Jun Akiyama responds to Bobby Fish challenge.Jun Akiyama comes to the ring and says that last year at A Night to Remember he made his return to the USWA. Winning the G1 Tournament built back his confidence to compete at the highest level. This year at AN2R He will step into the cage with Ahmed Johnson with the opportunity to win the USWA Unified title and become the first two time champion in the history of the title. But, before the PPV he has to finish up some business with Bobby Fish. Akyama says that Bobby Fish has climbed a very tall ladder to get into the position he is in today, and he respects him after going the distance with him last week on USWA Challenge. Akyama says he worked hard to earn that USWA Title shot, and in one night on November 9th if he accepts the challenge to fight Bobby Fish in a no time limit match, with the Night to Remember title match on the line, he could lose it all in one night. Jun Akiyama says that he will accept the challenge of Bobby Fish at the Mid South Coliseum, but he will have a special guest in his corner to make sure that NOBODY from the Corino family takes away this opportunity from him! Chad Collyer made CM Punk submit to the Texas Cloverleaf in 0:05:00. Rating: ***A victory for Collyer over CM Punk of the Corino family tonight on TV. Johnson says he trusts Akiyama will be able to team with him and get a win over Saturn and Bobby Fish. Petey Williams pinned Juventud Guerrera with the Canadian Destroyer in 0:14:59. Rating: **** 1/4 [Trinity interfered against Juventud Guerrera.]The newest acquisition of Trinity, Petey Williams, comes away with a big win in X-Division action. After the match, the X-Division champion, Alex Shelley came down to the ring and shook Williams hand. Shelley explained that he has signed a contract to face Prince Devitt in a dream partner matchup, and Shelley was quite impressed with what he saw tonight. Shelley asks Williams to partner with him, and promises a title shot in return after the PPV, if he's still wearing the gold. Prince Devitt confronts La Mascara backstage.Backstage we see Prince Devitt watching the X-Division match on a monitor. La Mascara comes into the room and Devitt tells him that he has chosen him as his dream partner, because he sees a fire in him. A passion for success in this business that he has only seen in one other man, himself. Devitt promises La Mascara the same deal that Shelley promised Williams, if he wins the title at A Night to Remember, he will give him a title shot if he agrees to team with him at the mid south coliseum. La Mascara shakes his hand, and it looks like our dream partner tag match is set! Karl Anderson pinned Dean Malenko with the Stun Gun in 0:06:58. Rating: ****Anderson wins one for the Corino Family, and evens the odds going into the tag team match at the Mid South Coliseum with Malenko and Collyer. AN2R Event CenterLance Wright once again runs down the card for A Night to Remember 2003 on PPV. Jun Akiyama must defeat Bobby Fish at the Mid South Coliseum first, in order to make it to the championship match. Perry Saturn and Bobby Fish defeated Ahmed Johnson and Jun Akiyama when Fish defeated J. Akiyama by disqualification in 0:13:11. Rating: ** 1/2 [Steve Corino interfered against Jun Akiyama.]Ahmed Johnson and Jun Akiyama were unable to work as a tag team unit in this match, leading to a victory for Perry Saturn and Bobby Fish. After multiple miss communications, Ahmed and Akiyama just started fighting it out between themselves, and John Finnegan had no choice but to ring the bell. It looks like this rivalry might be getting a little more personal, as we are just three weeks away from A Night to Remember. Backstage Notes:Bill Dundee has told us that his special guest for A Night to Remember will be present at the Mid South Coliseum on November 9th. The 10th event at the Coliseum this year is going to be taped and aired on Velocity next week. It's actually a really good question. I always liked Raven. He has always been a big part of my circuits. Honestly my roster is pretty crazy so I can see where you'd ask about it. One thing to remember is that it's 2003. It's a pretty crappy year in wrestling in general. ECW gone, WCW gone, TNA just started, so in this era, a lot of the rosters are not very stable in general. I'm always shocked nobody ever brings up the fact that my circuit is the U.S.W.A. and most of my roster is comprised of Lucha or Japanese guys. . When I started the fed, I wanted to have a character that was a luchador and could open the doors to bringing in more mexican wrestlers. I hired Konnan and Vampiro because I figured they would feud, which they have. Vamprio is always easy to write for. I can use him as a stable leader, or a heel or a face. That's one of the reasons I don't get rid of him. Raven and Konnan are part of my favorite 2003 story line so far. They are both upper mid card/ main event guys, who lost title shots. So now I have them going for the tag titles on the biggest show of the year. They have no other real connection, other than they both wanted to win titles. Another reason guys like Latin Lover, and Rey Bucanero, and then the lightweight guys are on the roster, is because I usually hire based on necessity for a feud, instead of just the idea of bringing a guy in, who can work with anyone. Rey Bucanero was a mystery partner for a luchador. Latin Lover brought in to feud with Konnan. I also brought Perry Saturn in as a guy who can be the voice for Taz, as he's injured. Some guys like Matt Cross are in because of my X-Division weight limit, and Vladamir and Alex Kozlov I liked because I wanted to try the Russian tag team gimmick. The Island Boys, are 3 Minute Warning, Jamal and Rosey in their Heartland Wrestling Federation gimmick, but since it's 2003 not 2006 I don't have them in that gimmick yet, but as time goes on, if they stay, I certainly will. As I said earlier this week, I am changing the way I do my cards. I am going to use an old school ECW type format for awhile and see if I can get through shows a little faster. I've ran 2 so far, and noticed it will really cut down on the amount of guys I'll need on my roster. This should make for some more streamlined writing. Guys like Raven and Vampiro and Konnan have all been in the USWA for about 3 years now, so I also like to keep them on due to longevity, but I believe the future of my USWA promotion is going to be with Bobby Fish and Chad Collyer. If I can ever make it to about 2006, you will see a big turnover in the roster. Taz will be retired, Konnan will not be a regular, and I can kind of move to more modern guys. I have some ideas of guys I want to bring in like Sheldon Benjamin, but I want to wait until 2004 to do that. Here is my current roster...this is about 3 shows past what I've currently posted. Your current roster: Chris Harris................................. (19 cards remain on contract). Christopher Daniels.......................... ( 6 cards remain on contract). CM Punk...................................... (17 cards remain on contract). James Storm.................................. (19 cards remain on contract). Konnan....................................... ( 6 cards remain on contract). Jun Akiyama.................................. (26 cards remain on contract). Harry Smith.................................. ( 1 cards remain on contract). Chad Collyer................................. ( 1 cards remain on contract). Kimo......................................... (11 cards remain on contract). OG Ekmo...................................... (11 cards remain on contract). Alex Shelley................................. (17 cards remain on contract). Petey Williams............................... ( 9 cards remain on contract). Matt Cross................................... ( 9 cards remain on contract). Vampiro...................................... (29 cards remain on contract). Bobby Fish................................... ( 8 cards remain on contract). Ahmed Johnson................................ (35 cards remain on contract). Vladimir Kozlov.............................. (16 cards remain on contract). Alex Koslov.................................. (17 cards remain on contract). Christian York............................... ( 6 cards remain on contract). Dean Malenko................................. PPV is looking good. Ahmed is such a strange World champion, but it works. The dream partner X division match is interesting, because with those two title shots up for grab, it's a wonder how either team is going to function. Ahmed/Saturn should be a fun brawl. Does Ahmed have another 5-star classic in him?

Okay, thanks for clearing some of that up for me. Like I said, I like a lot of what you do - it has nothing to do with your writing. It's just such a strange mix that it's hard to get my head around it. I've done my fair share of weird rosters in the past too (Gran Hamada holding my World Title for a year comes to mind) and if you love the roster, by all means run with it. It's always nice having circuits get posted no matter what.
