Well in real time at least. Damn it, I can't believe I've been doing this thing for ten years. Granted, I haven't been around this month, but 2012, I plan to return with a vengeance and reign my bloody glory.
Ten years ago, I planned to do a TNM7 circuit in real time, as a fictional competitor for WWE. This was in the days before TNA. In fact, I'm not sure if TNA exists in this alternate reality that has spawned the New Age Wrestling Alliance. My only rule was I couldn't use anyone on the WWE Roster during that time.
The real time aspect lasted maybe a month, but the heart of the circuit continued, on many different message boards, as I went through High School, College, Graduate School...until we reach this point of the New Age Wrestling Alliance.
It has been a long road, to this point. Ten years is a long time, and there have been countless members of the community that have come, gone, moved on, returned. Many message boards, many failed circuits.
2011 was perhaps the least active year for output, only putting out four cards throughout the year. I think that their was a point where this circuit felt like work, which is obviously the last thing you want it to be.
There are going to be a few changes, as there are going to be less longer write ups. StarClash 06 is in the final editing stages, but we're going to have to make a few changes. I don't have the pep and the energy to write lengthy match write ups any more. The ship has sailed, although obviously huge matches will mandate longer match write ups. And it will still be longer than most, more likely. On the Glory after StarClash 06, we'll have a slight change of the guard as writing style will go. After the ten page epic that was Samoa Joe vs. Harry Harris, I did go out with a bang but I don't think I'll ever write a match that long ever again.
10 years of NAWA...I don't want to say that I'll be working on this for ten more, but I'm no longer ending in September 2007 like I planned. I've got some ideas that will hopefully be entertaining, I'll just say that much. Hopefully I can bring the quality without having lengthy match write ups to hide behind.
2012 will be one to watch, as I go into 2007.
