Cena bloody? Empty lockerroom? Fans loving it?
Hey, it's a fun start to Raw!

Hard to beat the Raw from the week before. It's too bad we can't always have as hot a crowd as that one.

A Miami-esque crowd (reminded me of some Canada and South Philly crowds of old), and a no movie-tie-ins, and this week could have been great.

Watching Cena vs Lesnar @ Extreme Rules....
LOVING the Uber Monster MMA Beatdown that they let Lesnar do.
Cena bleeding all over the place definately adds to the "legitimacy" that they've been pushing, too.

And just like that.... Lesnar's push is killed by Super Cena.

I don't quite get the ending. Sounds like a helluva match, I'll need to look it up, but don't get the ending at all. Especially if Cena is taking time off.

Yeah, Cena even have a "being sent home"speech after the match.... Really didn't make sense.
I'm sure he meant in the "I ruined Johnny Ace's plan, so he'll fire me", but.... It'd have made more sense had he lost, IMO

I liked it, especially with the followup tonight. Lesnar didn't look weak at all losing, and anyone who says it killed his push is completely short-sighted. Plenty more Lesnar goodness coming.

The match told a unique story. In MMA, Brock likely would have won by referee stoppage in the opening moments of the match. But this is pro wrestling, and John Cena used an AA on the steps IN THE RING! That doesn't happen in UFC.
Also... Vince couldn't have Brock just walk in from the UFC (WWE's biggest threat) and defeat his top guy. Not to mention Cena needed that win WAY more than Brock.
Like snabbit said there's a ton of good Lesnar stuff on the horizon.

Like snabbit said there's a ton of good Lesnar stuff on the horizon. And by "good Lesnar stuff" you mean he's facing HHH at the next PPV! I hope HHH at least has the decency to do the j-o-b.

What's wrong with him facing HHH? Oh, right, it's the internet. TRIPAH H BERRIES PEOPLEZ! It'll be fine, I promise you.

Call me skeptical, but I have a hard time believing that Triple H is going to let Lesnar totally maul him for 6-9 minutes before drilling him with the F5 for a win. Which I feel should be the proper result. I hope I'm wrong, I just don't want a back and forth battle with Triple holding his own. In a few months, in a rematch, sure that works fine. Just not now, especially after Lesnar already losing one match.

Oh, and I like Triple H a lot more than most net guys. Just have never seen him be utterly destroyed like he needs to have happen.

Cena to Triple H to The Rock to The Undertaker at Mania? Maybe sprinkle a Championship win in there. That would be one hell of a ride!

I feel like Punk should get a bit of a rub in there somewhere, but I have a feeling that Punk wouldn't be given any offense.

I personally thought Lesnar should have destroyed Cena (as he was doing), and picked up a decisive win, which would have led to:
A) Lesnar demanding even MORE stuff in his contract (which would lead to the HHH feud we have), using the Cena win as leverage, and
B) let Big Johnny "punish" Cena all summer by making him fight guys like Tensai and whatnot. (Or, if Cena needs time off to rest up IRL, write him off TV for a bit, then bring him back in the fall)
This would let Lesnar face HHH, feud with Orton (as a stepping stone) and finally get into title contention. Let him dominate as champ for a bit. Don't let him outright destroy everyone... Each match should get closer and more competitive, of course. Once he's champ, let him have credible wins (not countouts or DQs or interference... A Heel Champ who doesn't have to resort to heel things)
On the other side, Cena would (once he was "medically cleared")have to work his way back up the ranks (per Jonny Ace) through Tensai, Mark Henry, Kane and a few others.
These two angles could then merge together for a title match, where Cena would win the way he did at Extreme Rules (skin of his teeth), showing that he got tougher through John Laringitis' gauntlet of foes, thus pissing off the GM (Maybe leading to the GM role being vacated as part of the stipulations?).
