Nice card there for ROH, but what made you put the Cabana/Steen match on TV, while it's also the Main Event for your upcoming DBD show?

just a non title match set up as a preview plus alittle payback for Steen trying to get involved in Cabana's match the week before. The non-finish on tv was meant to wet your appetites.

TNA IMPACT August 30, 2012The show opens with TNA World Champion: Bobby Roode coming to the ring. He talks about his title reign & tells everyone that no matter the odds, he is still the TNA Champion. he mentions how last week, James Storm tried to assault him & manuver himself into a better spot for a title shot. Roode said that he knows that Storm has no chance against him, for that matter, none of the BFG competitors have a chance in hell of taking the title from the champion. This brings out Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, Rob Van Dam, & Mr. Anderson. Each man states that they have just as much a chance as anybody else to beat Roode. Roode reminds them that during his reign he has beaten each man to retain the title, he says he would have no problem doing it again. Just then TNA Impact General Manager: Hulk Hogan comes out. He tells Roode that since he is so confident that he can beat all 4, that tonight he would get his chance. Hogan tells them all that tonight's main event will be an 8 man elimination tag team match featuring Angle, RVD, Anderson & Styles taking on Roode & any 3 men from the roster that he can get to team with him. He wishes Roode good luck, because if he can't get enough partners, he will face all 4 short handed. Bound For Glory Series: Christopher Daniels defeated Bully Ray by disqualification in 0:02:25. Rating: *** [Christian York interfered against Christopher Daniels.]The match barely got underway before Christian York rushed out from the back & attacked Daniels causing the dq. The TNA Tag Champs gain the advantage against York, but, it doesn't last as a an runs out from the back to even the odds. The muscular figure with a shaved head, wearing jeans grabs Daniels & hits a double arm DDT. Ring of Honor Wrestling September 4, 2013The show opens with Colt Cabana coming to the ring. He talks about last week & how strange it was that the doors were locked all night long until his match against Kevin Steen. He calls it convenient that 2 members of TNA's roster got into the building to interfere and attack him, but, Steen got way clean. These hints at Steen's involvement brought the RoH Champion out, accompanied by Steve Corino & Jimmy Jacobs. They take exception to Cabana's accusation that Steen had anything to do with the attack last week. Corino gets in Cabana's face about it & the 2 start to brawl. Unfortunately for Colt, the numbers were against him & it resulted in the second beat down he suffered in 2 weeks. As officials finally regained control, RoH GM: Eric Bischoff came out from the back & told Cabana & Corino they could settle their differences in tonight's main event. Charlie Haas made Mark Briscoe submit to the Haas Of Pain in 0:10:41. Rating: *** 3/4Kevin Kelly & Nigel McGuinness remind everyone of the video aired on Impact of Samoa Joe's training regimen. The video is shown again for anyone that missed it. After the video Delirious comes out & joins the commentary team. He is, as usual, incoherent as Kelly & McGuinness are only able to pick out one or 2 words every few minutes. Ryan McBride pinned Dakota Darsow with the 450 Splash in 0:07:49. Rating: ** 3/4Veda Scott stops RoH Executive: Jim Cornette & asks him if he & the general manager are looking into the attack by TNA's Bully Ray & Samoa Joe last week. He tells her that he is doing everything in his power to find out how they got into a locked building & will leave no stone unturned until he gets all the answers. Joey Ryan and Tommaso Ciampa defeated Brian Kendrick and Paul London when J. Ryan pinned P. London with the Mustache Ride in 0:13:33. Rating: *** 1/4RoH Television Champion: Adam Cole is with Veda Scott. She asks him about his upcoming title defense in 5 days against his long time rival Ryan McBride. Cole tells her that he surpassed McBride at every turn. Cole said that McBride has been wrestling longer than he has, but, has never achieved the level of success that he has. he says McBride is simply jealous of all of Adam Cole's success & that jealousy is what has held him back for so long. He says McBride will be just an after thought after Death before Dishonor & he will be surprised if after September 9th, RoH ever hears the name Ryan McBride again. Joey Kaos pinned Sami Callihan with the Kaostrify in 0:08:31. Rating: ***Footage is shown from earlier tonight of Charlie Haas forcing Mark Briscoe to submit to the Haas of Pain. After the footage, Charlie Haas accompanies his RoH Tag Team Championship partner to the ring & joins the commentary team for the match. Jay Briscoe pinned Shelton Benjamin with the J-Driller in 0:10:15. Rating: ** 3/4Backstage, Veda Scott is with the RoH World Champion: Kevin Steen. She asks Steen about the attack on Colt Cabana. Steen repeats his earlier denial of involvement, but, this time adds on a question for her. "Why don't you go ask whoever had the keys?" Mike Bennett and Adam Cole defeated Jay Lethal and Rhett Titus when A. Cole pinned Lethal with the Panama Sunrise in 0:10:06. Rating: ** 3/4Kevin Kelly tells everyone that Samoa Joe is not the only that has been training hard, as his opponent at Death Before dishonor has been hard at work himself. A video is then shown of D'Angelo Dinero working out in the gym & training with other wrestlers in a ring. Dinero takes them on one at a time & beats each with ease. Just before the video ends, one of his training partners gets up, only to caught with a right hook, knocking him out. After the video, Dinero's music plays as he makes his way to the ring for the next match. D'Angelo Dinero pinned Homicide with the DDE in 0:09:18. Rating: ***RoH World Champion: Kevin Steen joins the commentary team for the match. As McGuinness & Kelly ask him about last week's attack on the #1 contender during their match, he deflects them & changes the subject. Steen cheers on Corino during the match & points out many of Cabana's faults & mistakes. Steen continues to refer to Cabana as "Mr. RoH" & says that in 5 days he will turn back another challenger & prove how he is the greatest RoH Champion of all time. Colt Cabana pinned Steve Corino with the Colt .45 in 0:09:09. Rating: *** 1/4After the match, Jimmy Jacobs rushes out from the back & Steen approached the ring from the opposite side. Cabana stood over Corino and prepared for an attack. Just as both men seemed to have him cornered, they backed off & walked away. Steen held the title high in the air as he backed up the runway laughing & telling Cabana that he will never get to be RoH Champion. Card rating: *** Attachments:
