WCW Saturday Night June 24, 2000 Lance Storm: “I have a lot of respect for Buff Bagwell. He is a fine athlete and Champion. When I step into the ring next week I will be focused only on winning. I am the purest athlete in WCW. I have the strength, the stamina, and the pure wrestling ability to wear the WCW World Television Title around my waist!” Billy Kidman and Prince Iaukea defeated Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Shane Helms when Kidman pinned Guerrero Jr. with the Shooting Star Press in 0:07:41. Rating: * ½Buff Bagwell: “Next week will not be a typical wrestling match. I know Lance Storm is one of the finest pure wrestling athletes around. But I’m not a typical wrestler either. I have strength and power. Its going to take a lot to defeat me. I may not know a lot of submission moves, or have been trained in the Dungeon, but I’ve proven that by holding the Title Belt that I have what it takes. I’m not going to quit, I wont give up!” [Cameras are rushed to the backstage area] “Mad Dog” Rick Steiner is wildly running around barking and growling. Around his neck is a dog collar, with a long chain attached to it. He is whipping the length of chain at people frightening and terrifying everyone. Here comes Bobby Eaton! Eaton and Steiner are brawling with reckless abandon! Security guards are trying to find a way to separate them, but these two men are not letting up! Punches fly! Finally, security is able to get in between the angry men, but Steiner is able to land a few shots and security guards go flying! Steiner and Eaton are brawling once again! “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton seems to be getting the upper hand as more security guards and WCW Officials are finally able to separate the two men. As Steiner is growling and snarling being pulled away, Eaton yells, “A mad dog has to be put down! Steiner… I’m going to put you down!”

WCW Saturday Night July 08, 2000 [Clips of last week Storm vs. Bagwell time limit draw] WCW World Television Champion Buff Bagwell: “Last week Lance Storm took me to the limit. We wrestled for the full 10 minutes, but we could have wrestled for a lot longer. Storm is a great athlete, and made me work as hard as I could to keep the Title Belt around my waist. I hope we can have another match, without a time limit, to truly see who is the better wrestler. But there is no time to look back, or to think about ‘what if’. I have to look ahead to next week, when there will be a #1 Contender decided. As Champion, I cant afford to take any time off to relax. I had to work hard to become Champion, and I’ll have to work even harder to stay Champion!” Triangle Match: Shane Helms defeated Kid Romeo and Prince Iaukea when Helms pinned Romeo with the Vertebreaker in 0:04:51. My partner for tonight’s tag team match is… Buff Bagwell!” WCW World Television Champion Buff Bagwell: “I’m going to do the best that I can to help Bobby defend himself and the fans from a maniac, a crazy mad dog. Steiner is a mad dog and there is no telling what he will do. Next week Billy Kidman and I will be one on one for my World Television Title, but after tonight I cant promise that I will be at one hundred per cent. But I will be ready no matter what.” Chavo Guerrero Jr. pinned Kid Romeo with the Frog Splash in 0:04:18. Rating: 1/4*“Mad Dog” Rick Steiner is barking and growling. Standing next to him is Perry Saturn. “We are the power! All of WCW is afraid of us! Rating: **To call this a wrestling match would be a lie. It was a fight! All four men brawled in and out of the ring. Steiner brought his long chain to the ring, and there were a few moments the fans feared for “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton’s life. Steiner was just that vicious. As tonight’s episode of WCW Saturday Night came to a close, WCW Officials were doing their best to restore order.

Rating: * ¼WCW World Television Title Match Billy Kidman vs. © Buff BagwellThis match is ruled a NO CONTEST, when into the ring runs “Mad Dog” Rick Steiner followed closely by Perry Saturn. Steiner has a length of chain with him. Buff Bagwell is able to roll out of the ring in time, but Billy Kidman isn’t so lucky. Steiner hits him with the chain, nearly knocking him unconscious. Saturn picks up Kidman and finishes him off with a Power Bomb. But here comes Bobby Eaton! Eaton runs in and immediately goes after Steiner! He is doing some damage, but when Perry Saturn joins in, it becomes a numbers game and Eaton is at a disadvantage. After rolling out of the ring and getting a minute to catch his breath, Buff Bagwell is back in action and into the ring he goes to help Eaton! Bagwell is able to take Saturn out with a Blockbuster, and drag him away to the back stage area. This just leaves Eaton and Steiner to continue brawling one on one. Eaton looks like he is getting the upper hand, but Steiner brings the pain with a vicious punch with his hand wrapped in chain! “Mad Dog” Rick Steiner is left alone in the ring to bark and yell at the fans!

WCW Saturday Night August 12, 2000 “Mad Dog” Rick Steiner vs. “Beautiful” Bobby EatonPerry Saturn came to the ring to stand in Steiner’s corner, with WCW World Television Champion Buff Bagwell standing with Eaton. At every turn, Saturn got into the ring to double-team Eaton. Frustration boiling over, Bagwell runs over toward Saturn and… there it is… Blockbuster on Saturn! With the help of the Referee, Bagwell is able to drag Saturn away from the ring and towards the backstage area. But this leaves the Ref unavailable to watch the action inside the ring. Steiner takes full advantage, and from under the ring brings out a long chain. He wraps one end around his fist, and blasts Eaton squarely! Eaton is down, Eaton is hurt. The “Mad Dog” pounces, and chokes what life remains out of Bobby Eaton. Oh no! The Referee returns to only see Steiner on top of Eaton, and counts one, two, three. “Mad Dog” Rick Steiner pinned “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton in 0:08:47. Rating: ** ½Billy Kidman pinned Alex Wright with the Shooting Star Press in 0:04:07.Rating: DUD

WCW Saturday Night August 26, 2000 Shane Helms pinned Chavo Guerrero Jr. with the Vertebreaker in 0:04:37. Rating: * ¼“Beautiful” Bobby Eaton on tape from his home: “I’ve been advised to stay home and take time to rest and recover after my match with “Mad Dog” Rick Steiner. I can stand in the ring and take a lot of punishment and a lot of damage. Its not easy, but I can take it and come back for more! What hurts so much is sitting here at home, knowing that Steiner is free to run around and do whatever he likes without anyone standing in his way! I have to sit here on the sidelines! I’ve never backed down from anyone. I’ve never given up and I’ve never given in! As soon as I’m able to return to wrestle I will! But while I’m away I need some help. I can’t be there tonight, so I need someone to do what I would do. You don’t need to be afraid of Rick Steiner. He is a big dog, but his bite and his bark aren’t anything to be afraid of. Someone needs to stand up to him! Stand strong and put down the ‘Mad Dog’!” Perry Saturn pinned Alex Wright with the Power Bomb in 0:02:01. Rating: -1/2*Out to the ring is Tom Zenk. “Rick Steiner, you get out here right now! I’m here to put you down!” “Mad Dog” Rick Steiner makes his way to the ring, barking the entire way. Zenk raises his fists but that’s as much as he was able to do. Steiner absolutely destroyed him! A brutal pummeling and Zenk is down and not getting up. As this week of WCW Saturday Night comes to a close “Mad Dog” Rick Steiner is yelling and barking into the camera.

WCW Saturday Night September 02, 2000 Perry Saturn: “I am the power! I am the power! I am the power!” #1 Contender Match: Perry Saturn pinned Billy Kidman with the Power Bomb in 0:07:55. Rating: * ¾WCW World Television Champion Buff Bagwell was a guest commentator for this match. He spoke of Saturn’s ability to over-power his opponents. He has had a few encounters with Saturn in the last few weeks, but never one on one in the ring. This victory tonight was impressive, and it will be interesting to study the tape to scout how to best to deal with him. Out to the ring is Alex Wright. “Rick Steiner… you and me… now!” Surprisingly, Perry Saturn is out first. He is holding one end of a long chain. He tugs and pulls on his end, and out comes “Mad Dog” Rick Steiner! He is wearing a dog collar that is attached to the other end of the chain. Just like last week, standing up to the “Mad Dog” leads to destruction. Alex Wright simply had no chance. Saturn has trouble keeping Steiner under control as he barks and yells like a wildman.

WCW Saturday Night September 09, 2000 Chavo Guerrero Jr. is in the ring. “Its my turn now! Steiner, come on down here!” “Mad Dog” Rick Steiner goes to the ring led by Perry Saturn holding his chain. As soon as Saturn unleashes the chain, Steiner acts true to his nickname and like a wild animal destroys Chavo. As WCW Officials take Chavo to the backstage area, Saturn manages to clip the chain back onto Steiner’s dog collar. And with Steiner barking behind him Saturn says, “There is only one man who can control the beast! That person is me! I am the power! Next week I will show just what I can do by beating Buff Bagwell for the WCW World Television Title! I am the power! I am the power! I am the power!” [In the backstage area] WCW World Television Champion Buff Bagwell is asked for his response: “What can I say about Saturn and Steiner? Do you want me to say ‘I’m afraid?’ Well I am! Do you want me to say ‘I’m not going to step into the ring next week to defend my Title?’ Well I wont! I am the World Television Champion, and I accept all challengers no matter what the cost to my health and safety. I have a responsibility to WCW and to the fans. It’s a big responsibility that sits heavy on my shoulders every day. But that’s what wrestling is about! Getting into the ring every time, looking your opponent straight in the eyes and not backing down, standing strong and not stopping until the final bell rings! (Holding up the Title Belt) Saturn, if this is what you want you’ll have to damn near kill me to get it!” Billy Kidman pinned Shane Helms with the Shooting Star Press in 0:08:47. Rating: ** ¼Next week on WCW Saturday Night will feature Perry Saturn vs. Buff Bagwell for the WCW World Television Title!

WCW Saturday Night September 16, 2000 [Perry Saturn enters the arena, leading “Mad Dog” Rick Steiner by the chain] Billy Kidman pinned Alex Wright with the Shooting Star Press in 0:04:05. Rating: -* WCW World Television Title Match: Perry Saturn vs. © Buff BagwellPerry Saturn comes to the ring holding a length of chain that is attached to the dog collar around Steiner’s neck. When at ringside, he ties the chain to the ring post. During the match, Saturn dumps Bagwell out of the ring, giving the “Mad Dog” a chance to attack and choke Bagwell with the chain. But here comes Bobby Eaton! With Steiner tied up to the ring post he is limited in his ability to move and fight back effectively, and this gives Eaton the upper hand to deal out some damage! Its been a long time since Eaton has been able to take out his pent up frustrations! Unfortunately Buff Bagwell was not able to overcome the power of Perry Saturn. And after a valiant attempt to kick out, there is a new Champion! Perry Saturn pinned Buff Bagwell with the Power Bomb in 0:08:25. Rating: * 1/2 (Perry Saturn won the WCW World Television Title.) I know sooner or later Saturn and Steiner will cross my path, and when they do I’ll be ready!” Lance Storm: “Its only pure wrestling that will win the day against Perry Saturn. And I am pure wrestling! I’ve done my time in The Dungeon. I’ve put in my sweat, my blood, but never my tears! Tears have no place in professional wrestling. This is what I do, this is my chosen sport. And believe me, it is a sport! Endurance, strength, flexibility, knowledge, and just pure guts are what it takes to make it as a professional wrestler.
