Creed wins but hurts his back. Wonder if he'll make it to Ultimate X, or with the injury, if he'll even want to.
Great promo segment there. A heel is only good if he believes what he is saying, so even though Kaz is off base, he believes it, which makes for interesting television. Good way to get into the tag match too.
No way the TSD wasn't winning their debut match.
Looks like Christian might be getting his ass beat by Abyss soon too. Best to avoid Sting right now - he's poison.
The Beautiful People seem destined to split up. But who's turning - Love on Velvent & Rayne or vice versa?
Freakin' Tomko.
Wonder how far the Hernandez singles push is going to go.
Simple but effective story for the tag titles. Team 3D is kind of the measuring stick for teams. Let's see what you got, Beer Money.
Evidence points to Abyss being the one who attacked Sting, but he hasn't really been shy about doing it recently, so the blackout attack makes me think maybe it was someone else.
Not a good ending to the show if you're a fan of the faces. Angle has used this strategy to his advantage before, and now Kaz is all up in Booker's head.

IMPACT (October 9, 2008) [/b] With Bound For Glory only a few days away, AJ Styles, who was scheduled to face Kurt Angle for the TNA World Heavyweight Title, came to the ring on crutches, after having his leg attacked by Kurt Angle last week. He had a rather disappointed look on his face. AJ got into the ring and took a mic. He said how his career had been building to this moment, fighting for the TNA World Title at the biggest event of the year, against one of the best of all time. He went on to say it’s a shame that Angle, someone who is gifted and as talented as anyone in the history of the sport, has to resort to doing things like he did last week, taking cheap shots to try to take someone out of a world title match. At that moment, Kurt Angle’s music hit and the world champ made his way to the ring. He told AJ that he was truly sorry for seeing the fate he had endured, but that this is a man’s world, and if just some scared little boy that can’t take it, maybe he should go somewhere else. He added that if AJ backs out of the match, he won’t get another shot. He doesn’t care how hurt his leg is, he expects to see AJ in the ring on Sunday, or any future hopes he had of getting a title shot will go bye-bye. Then to add insult to injury, Angle kicked out one of AJ’s crutches, leaving him hobbling on one leg. Angle turned to the crowd to gloat, but as he did, AJ stopped hobbling, grabbed his other crutch and readied for Angle to turn around. And once he did, AJ swung at Angle and connected right across the head. Angle was shocked at what he was seeing, and grabbed his title belt and crawled out of the ring as AJ swung at him again. While Angle backpeddled up the aisle way holding his head, AJ springboarded off the ropes, did a back flip landing on his feet, he then took the mic back and told Angle, what he was about to say before being interrupted, was that Angle couldn’t get the job done. He was 100% and ready to see Angle at Bound For Glory. Sonjay Dutt pinned Shark Boy with the Guru Press in 0:09:51. Rating: *** 1/4Sonjay Dutt qualified for the Bound For Glory Ultimate X match by scoring a pretty easy win over Shark Boy. Dutt controlled the majority of the match, although Shark Boy did put together a little rally towards the end. But it wasn’t enough as Dutt got the win. In-ring promo with Jim Cornette
Jim Cornette came to the ring to make a few announcements. He said it seems that everyone on the roster wants to fight everyone so he’s going to make everyone’s wishes come true. At Bound For Glory, he was making a 6-man tag, Sting, Christian Cage and Matt Morgan against Tomko, Scott Steiner and Samoa Joe. And also as a little preview, tonight in the main event he was putting Kaz with Tomko’s team and Booker T with Sting’s team for an 8-man tag. Then Kurt Angle stormed down to the ring for the second time on the night. Angle demanded Cornette suspend AJ for what he just did to him, taking away his title shot. Cornette wasn’t buying it and said he doesn’t take orders from Angle, he gives them to Angle. In fact, tonight he was giving him an order, join up with Kaz, Tomko and the rest. AJ will be on the other team and it will be a 10-man main event. Cornette then left the ring as Angle protested. Backstage with The Beautiful PeopleAll three Beautiful People were talking backstage before Velvet Sky went out to face Taylor Wilde. Sky and Madison Rayne questioned Angelina Love if she was going to be there with them this week. They said they needed her and were all like sisters and sisters should be there for each other. Love apologized for last week and said she’ll be there with them from now on. Taylor Wilde pinned Velvet Sky with the Missile Dropkick in 0:08:00. Rating: **Taylor Wilde prepared for her Knockouts Title defense against Angelina Love by defeating her partner Velvet Sky. After the win, Love and Rayne stormed the ring to try to attack Taylor, but Wilde managed to fight them off long enough to sneak away. Backstage with Petey Williams, Eric Young and Jim CornettePetey Williams came up to Jim Cornette and Eric Young and was attempting to backdoor his way into getting another shot at the X Division title. After Consequences Creed had to pull out of the Ultimate X match cause of his injured back, Williams campaigned for Creed's spot. Although originally told he would not even get to be in a qualifying match for Ultimate X because of his loss last month, he argued a loophole saying he could never face Lethal for the title again. An Ultimate X match was not covered in the stipulation. Williams argued there was no one else on the roster to fill that spot. Young said that he could fill the spot. Williams laughed but Cornette said that sounded like a great idea, Williams vs. Young for the Ultimate X spot Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) defeated The Samoan Dynasty (Jimmy Fatu and Jey Fatu) when BRD defeated Jey Fatu by disqualification in 0:11:21. Rating: * 1/2 [Robert Roode interfered against Brother Ray.]Beer Money ran down to attack Team 3D during their match against the Samoan Dynasty. After the DQ was called, the Samoans helped in leaving 3D on the wrong side of a 4 on 2 beatdown. However, their old rivals, the Motor City Machine Guns ran in to even up the sides. After clearing the ring, 3D and the Guns paused in front of each other, before shaking hands. Eric Young pinned Petey Williams after a roll-up in 0:07:25. Rating: **Williams was reaping the benefits of Young still being a little banged up from their match a few weeks back. Williams controlled most of the match and looked to put Young away with the Canadian Destroyer. However, when Williams flipped over Young’s back, Young didn’t flip but rather sat down, grabbed hold of Petey’s legs and got the three count. Backstage with Abyss
The cameras cut to what looks like the Boiler Room in the Impact Zone. You can only make out the silhouette of Abyss, but as he talks, the voice is unmistakable. Abyss talked to Sting about how Sting was holding me what. Abyss says he is what is, and he is a monster. There’s no use trying to fight what he is. Sting tried to get Abyss to fight the monster, when it’s much easier to just unleash it. And soon, it will be unleashed on Sting. AJ Styles, Booker T, Christian Cage, Matt Morgan and Sting defeated Tomko, Samoa Joe, Scott Steiner, Kaz and Kurt Angle when Styles pinned K. Angle with the Styles Clash in 0:12:05. Rating: *** 3/4It had to be known that there was no controlling the 10 men that all stepped in to the ring for the main event. The match itself could be better termed as mass chaos than a match. Only for a brief period of time were things settled down into the ring but once the heels tried to go for any kind of double team, everyone raced in from the other side. Kurt Angle tried best as he could to avoid AJ Styles, actually he tried what he could to avoid everybody. As a massive brawl commenced on the floor, Angle snuck back into the ring tried to escape the madness. But behind his back, AJ was waiting for him. Styles hit the Styles Clash and got a pin on the world champion just a few short days before fighting for the title at Bound For Glory. The 3-count and the bell though didn’t stop the fighting. The riot between all 10 men continued as the show went off the air.

Ha! Loved the opening segment. AJ is a crafty one.
The Samoan Dynasty are fitting in well. They are finally getting a proper shot.
Sting is in for a world of pain.
Fun main event. Probably means Angle is retaining, but got all the feuds one last preview before the ppv.

Tremendous opening segment. One that needs to be stolen by me one day. That segment alone helped increase my interest in the main event a lot.
Like Dutt, so glad to see him get a spot in the Ultimate X.
The foot has to drop on this on again, off again thing with the Beautiful People.
Thinking Velvet and Rayne may cost Angelina the match at BFG.
I know eventually Petey was going to get back into the running for the X Title. Just kind of wish it didn't look like it was happening so soon.
Team 3D turn? Eight man tag coming up.
Yes! Petey didn't win and EY is in. Now we get Petey trying to get a title shot. Good stuff.
Styles pinning Angle is the best way to do that main event. Gives him all the momentum going into BFG.

BOUND FOR GLORY (October 12, 2008) Ultimate X Jay Lethal © vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Eric YoungWhat better way to start off TNA’s biggest event of the year, than with a high flying Ultimate X match. Early in the match, good friends Jay Lethal and Eric Young teamed up and ended up tossing Bashir and Dutt from the ring. But then they stood face to face knowing only one could climb to get the belt. They shook hands then came out swinging at each other. Dutt and Bashir quickly rejoined the fray as the action picked up. Each man made attempts to cross the cables suspended high above the ring, to retrieve the X Division title, but none were quite successful. Dutt at one point looked like he had a clear path with everyone down on the outside, but Young recovered to get to the top rope. He flew off and grabbed Dutt, and brought him down to the mat with a vicious sitdown powerbomb. Lethal tried to make a climb to the belt, but Bashir from the ring grabbed hold of his legs and swung him until Lethal flipped off the cables crashing down to the mat. Bashir then made a climb but was joined on the other sides by Young and Dutt. It was a three-man race to the belt. They were all very close and spent some time trying to kick each other off. But this gave Lethal some recovery time. He climbed to the top rope, then climbed to the top of the support beam that grew even higher. Lethal was actually above the cables. He flew off splashing down on the center of the X where the belt hung causing all three other men to crash back down to the canvas. Lethal was able to hold on up there and unhooked the belt, retaining his title. Four Corners Ladder Match: Jay Lethal defeated Eric Young, Sheik Abdul Bashir and Sonjay Dutt in 0:22:56. Rating: **** (Jay Lethal retained the TNA X DIVISION TITLE.)The Motor City Machine Guns vs. The Samoan DynastyAfter weeks of sneak attacks by the Samoan Dynasty, the Machine Guns finally got them in the ring, but it turned out the results were still the same. A fire up Machine Guns took control early in the match, hitting the Samoans with a variety of double team maneuvers. But the Samoans had a little extra strength, and also had Sarona Snuka at ringside. Sarona did her part to make it a 3-on-2 match getting cheap shots in at every opportunity. The Samoans though didn’t care as much about winning the match, but rather, hurting the Guns. With Chris Sabin down on the floor, Jimmy Fatu climbed to the top and delivered a Superfly Splash down on Sabin on the floor. Meanwhile Jey Fatu took care of Alex Shelly on the far side of the ring before rejoining his partner. The Samoans were left standing while the Machine Guns got counted out. The Samoan Dynasty (Jimmy Fatu and Jey Fatu) defeated The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) when Jimmy Fatu defeated C. Sabin by countout in 0:12:43. Rating: ** 1/2Knockouts Title Taylor Wilde © vs. Angelina LoveLove came down to the ring with the Beautiful People, and at least on this night, there didn’t seem to be any issues within the group. Atleast at first. Wilde and Love had a good match going, but Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne kept sticking their noses in. Grabbed Wilde’s legs when she ran to the ropes, getting in cheap shots while Love distracted the referee. Finally, Wilde’s friends Gail Kim and Traci Brooks had enough. They came to ringside and started attacking Sky and Rayne causing them to retreat back towards the dressing room. This didn’t please Love who watched on and shouted at them “Where are you two going? Get back here!” While she was shouting, Taylor Wilde climbed to the top and when Love turned around, Wilde caught her with a missile dropkick which lead to a pin. Taylor Wilde pinned Angelina Love after a missle dropkick in 0:10:29. Rating: 1/4* (Taylor Wilde retained the TNA KNOCKOUTS TITLE.)World Tag Team Titles Beer Money © vs. Team 3D
Beer Money was looking to, not only hang on to their world tag team titles, but establish themselves as a truly great team in wrestling history by beating the most decorated team ever, while Team 3D was looking for one more run with the gold. Each team gave everything they had and hit the other with everything they could think of. No matter what each team tried, there was either a kickout, or a broken pin to follow. Team 3D hit Robert Roode with their “Whassup” diving headbutt. But James Storm ran in to Devon with the Last Call. Ray then caught Storm with the Brother Bomb and went for the pin, but Roode was able to break it up. Later Ray had Roode up top positioned for a superplex, but Roode reversed it and turned it into a top rope spinebuster, but he could only get a two count. Finally, Storm and Devon were fighting on the floor when Storm caught him with another Last Call. Storm hit the ring and helped Roode deliver a DWI to Brother Ray with led to the pin. Beer Money, Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) defeated Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) when R. Roode pinned BRD after the DWI in 0:20:36. Rating: **** (Beer Money, Inc. retained the TNA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES.)Sting, Christian Cage and Matt Morgan vs. Scott Steiner, Tomko and Samoa JoeEach team was pretty much thrown together in the weeks leading up to BFG, so chemistry was an issue, but each had members with a distinct hatred for the other side. It led to some pretty heated fighting in the early going. It was a good while before the teams settled down into the ring. They all paired off, Morgan with Joe, Sting with Steiner and Cage with Tomko, and they fought all over the arena. Once things finally got in the ring, Christian was the recipient of a couple cheap shots, which led to several minutes of a beating from the heel team. He was eventually able to turn the tide catching Steiner with his head down and hitting an Unprettier. But in his beaten state, he was unable to make the pin, but he was able to get to Sting for the hot tag. Sting and Morgan took some time cleaning house while Christian recovered. Steiner and Tomko were knocked out to the floor while Sting hit a couple Stinger splashes in the ring on Joe while Morgan looked on. Steiner then grabbed Sting’s legs and pulled him outside where Steiner and Tomko went to work on him. But by that time Christian had recovered. He climbed up top then dove off splashing down on Tomko and Steiner. This left Morgan in the ring alone with Joe and it didn’t take long for Morgan to hit Joe with the Hellevator and get the win for his team. Christian Cage, Matt Morgan and Sting defeated Scott Steiner, Tomko and Samoa Joe when M. Morgan pinned Joe with the Hellevator in 0:15:45. Rating: *** 1/2After the match though, as the winning team posed atop the entrance way, the lights went out. When they came back on, Christian and Morgan were knocked out and Sting stood face to face with Abyss. Sting went after the monster, but Abyss was too strong considering Sting just came off a heck of a match. Abyss also had his giant chain with him. After beating down Sting, Abyss wrapped the chain around Sting’s neck and dragged the Icon to the back. Booker T vs. KazIt’s taken five months to get these two in the ring 1-on-1 and each was looking forward to it finally happening. Surprisingly with two men who hated each other so much, there wasn’t much brawling. It was more about each man trying to prove to the other they were better. Each unleashed a full arsenal of moves, and technical mat wrestling. Booker T gained an early edge causing Kaz to go to the floor looking for a time out. But instead, Booker came off the top rope catching Kaz with a flying clothesline. Booker tried to whip Kaz into the ringpost, but Kaz was able to jump up to the apron, and moonsault off catching Booker T. Back in the ring the action kept its back-and-forth pace. Neither man could keep the other down. Each broke out their finishing moves, but each time they were met with a kickout. Kaz kicked out of Booker’s Book End and Axe kick, and Booker kicked out of Kaz’s Wave of the Future and Flux Capacitor. Booker decided to try his luck up top, but it proved to be costly. Kaz ran into the ropes causing Booker to fall, straddling the top turnbuckle. Kaz ran up and hit him with a hurricanrana off the top rope. Kaz made the cover, grabbed a bit of the tights, and got the win. Kaz pinned Booker T after a hurricanrana in 0:16:02. Rating: ****
World Heavyweight Title Kurt Angle © vs. AJ StylesIf you wanted to see two men giving their heart and soul and everything they had to try to leave with the biggest prize in the sport, this was the match for you. There was no clear dominant one in the match. Everytime one wrestler seemed to gain a measure of control, a counter from the other was soon to follow. It was clear each man had the other well scouted. Angle hit his patented three germen suplexes, but when trying to go for a fourth, AJ flipped back up over Angle’s head and landed catching him with an inverted DDT. AJ tried to hit Angle with his Pele kick, but Angle sidestepped it, instead catching AJ’s foot and turning it into an Ankle Lock. Fortunately for AJ, he was able to spin over and kick Angle in the face to break the hold. But no matter what though, neither could put the other away. It looked like we would have a new champion, when AJ hit Angle with the Styles Clash, but Angle was able to kick out. Angle came back to hit the Angle Slam, but AJ kicked out. Angle hit a moonsault to no avail, AJ hit the Spiral Tap and still couldn’t get a pin. At one point, Angle chased AJ up top and hit an Angle Slam from the top rope, but still couldn’t get a pin. They then turned to using each other’s moves. AJ hit an Angle Slam on Angle. Angle hit a Styles Clash on AJ, still no pins. Angle though did catch AJ once with a Pele kick as well. AJ went to apply the Ankle Lock on Angle. Angle was caught away from the ropes, but knowing the move so well, he knew the counter. He spun to his back to try to kick out of it, much like AJ did early in the match, only AJ grabbed hold of both Angle’s legs. He walked in and picked Angle up by the legs, walking into perfect position for another Styles Clash. He hit it, and this time, there was no kicking out. After the 1-2-3, we had a new world champion. No-Time-Limit-Match: AJ Styles pinned Kurt Angle with the Styles Clash in 0:26:15. Rating: ***** (AJ Styles won the TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE.)
After the match, confetti fell from the sky as a number of faces ran into the ring to congratulate AJ, who was in near tears. Booker T, Christian, Jay Lethal, Eric Young, The Machine Guns, even Team 3D were among those in the ring helping AJ celebrate. Kurt Angle though had one last thing he had to do. He grabbed the title belt, looked at AJ, and then handed the new champion his belt and shook his hand before leaving the ring. Matt Morgan and Hernandez did the honors of lifting AJ up on their shoulders as the camera faded out to one last shot of AJ with the world title belt draped over his shoulder. Card rating: *** 1/2

Great opener and I was happy Lethal retained.
You really have something special with the Samoan Dynasty. Their push should continue, and I'm hoping they are soon in contention for the titles.
This was almost a passing of the torch to Beer Money as the next big team.
That's a big pinfall for Morgan, but the big story is Abyss dragging Sting to the back afterwards. Wonder if there will be some sort of injury angle to Sting, a brainwash, or what? Many options here.
Kaz! This was a huge victory for him. I don't know if Booker will let this go, but if he does, Kaz can move straight into the World Title picture. Especially since...
AJ Styles! This felt like a PPV where you decided to run with some new guys. Kaz, AJ, Beer Money, Morgan, Samoan Dynasty....a bright future is ahead of TNA with those guys on top right now.

Like Josh said, great way to kick off your biggest PPV and Lethal retaining was the right choice.
Usos are new and can't be losing their first big match. I'm a big fan of them so I hope you keep pushing them.
Looks like this will be the straw that breaks the camel's back for the Beautiful People.
The defense by Beer Money should really cement them as legit.
That's possibly a career making win for Morgan. And damn you still for making me care about Abyss. Jerk.
I'm a Booker T fan, but this was the time for Kaz to go over. He's been flirting with it, but I think this helps him stake his claim as a top guy.
And that's how you end a PPV. The follow up will be important, but Styles as champ going forward is the way to go.

IMPACT (October 16, 2008) The night began with Jim Cornette and Eric Young representing TNA management in the ring with the TNA World Heavyweight Title belt. They call the new champion AJ Styles to the ring so they can crown the new champion. Styles came to the ring to a huge ovation. He entered the ring and shook hands with Young and Cornette and Cornette put the belt around his waist. AJ gave a brief speech thanking the fans for their support during his run to the title. He promised to be a champion that the fans and everyone can be proud off. He also vowed to be a fighting champion. At the sound of that, Kaz’s music hit and he made his way to the ring to spoil the party. He said that’s exactly what he wanted to hear. If AJ says he’s going to be a fighting champion, then awesome. Cause his first challenger is standing right in front of him. He said his victory over Booker T clearly makes him the No. 1 contender. Cornette said while Kaz's victory was impressive, there is another TNA Superstar who has been just as impressive. He then announced that tonight, Kaz will face Matt Morgan with the winner getting the title shot at AJ at TNA’s next PPV, Turning Point. AJ looked satisfied with the decision but Kaz had a look of sheer terror on his face as he headed to the back. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) defeated The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) when C. Sabin pinned C. Stevens with the Cradle Shock in 0:08:39. Rating: *** 1/2While the Machine Guns scored a victory over the Naturals, the whole time the Samoan Dynasty sat watching from the top of the entrance way. Not interfering or serving as any sort of distraction, but simply just watching. After getting the win, the Guns tried to call them down for a fight, looking to even the score from Bound for Glory, but the Samoans just walked to the back. Backstage with Angelina Love and Eric YoungAngelina Love approached TNA Knockout head Eric Young asking for another title shot. She said Traci and Gail robbed the Beautiful People of the title last night when the belt should rightfully be in the group. Young said Love did get pinned at BFG, but if what she says is true, then maybe he should give the next title match to Velvet or Madison. Love yelled out “NOO!” She said she’s the leader, the group is what it is because of her and she deserves any title match. Young came up with an idea, he will make a four-way Knockouts Match at Turning Point. The next three weeks will be three qualifying matches starting tonight with Love against Traci Brooks. Handicap-Match: Abyss defeated Curry Man and Shark Boy when Abyss pinned Curry Man with the Black Hole Slam in 0:07:31. Rating: ***Abyss was the one short-handed in the match, but it appeared as if Shark Boy and Curry Man were the ones on the handicapped side against Abyss. The Monster dominated both men before finally putting them away. After the match Abyss screamed into the camera, he killed our Icon. Now nobody can stand in his way. All of TNA will feel his wrath. Backstage with Petey Williams and Sheik Abdul BashirPetey Williams approached Sheik Abdul Bashir with a proposal. Since Petey can't challenge Jay Lethal for the X title, he would help Bashir beat Lethal and win the belt if he granted Petey the first shot at it. Bashir thought about it for a moment before shaking his hand and accepting the deal. Angelina Love pinned Traci Brooks with the Lights Out in 0:10:47. Rating: ** 1/4Angelina Love got the win, but got it with a little help. Although not the help many would have expected. After a small ref-bump, Sarona Snuka hit the ring and went right at Traci. She decimated Brooks and left her laying in the middle of the ring as she headed back out. Love looked as surprised as anyone about what happened, but took advantage of it. She woke the ref back up, then finished off Brooks and moving on to the four-way Knockouts title match at Turning Point. Backstage interview with Sarona SnukaJeremy Borash stopped Sarona and asked her what that was all about. She replied that she wasn’t in TNA just to stand by her boys. She was here for herself to. Much like the Fatu brothers had the Machine Guns as the first on their list, Traci was the first of many on her list. Sheik Abdul Bashir pinned Consequences Creed after a flying legdrop in 0:07:22. Rating: * 1/2Petey Williams came to ringside to provide a small assist to Bashir. After Creed hit a DDT, Williams grabbed the referee’s legs and pulled him out of the ring. The distraction enabled Bashir to hit Creed with a lowblow then took him down. He went up top to hit a flying leg drop to finish him off. Christian Cage pinned Tomko with the Unprettier in 0:14:12. Rating: *** 3/4Christian Cage has said for weeks now he wants to take out everyone that was responsible for taking him out. That continued tonight with a win over Tomko. Now Cage says he’s ready for the big prize. He wants Kurt Angle in the ring 1-on-1. No excuses, no one else. Just Cage and Angle to settle old scores. Kaz pinned Matt Morgan after a DDT suplex in 0:16:26. Rating: ** 3/4Morgan's size and strength looked to carry him to the win, Kaz turned the tide partially with a clothesline to the ref knocking him out. With him down, Kaz went outside to get a steel chair. Not wanting to see his arch-rival cheat his way to a title match, Booker T ran down to try to stop Kaz. He took the chair from Kaz and tried to hit him with it, but Kaz ducked and Booker caught Morgan. Kaz knocked Booker out of the ring, revived the ref and went on to get the pin. Kaz ran to the back celebrating while Booker T looked upset at himself as he went into the ring to check on Morgan. Morgan looked confused, wondering what the hell happened.

I don't think Morgan is quite ready for a PPV title shot, but we will see.
Wonder what the Usos still want with the Machineguns.
Though I don't mind the actual matches themselves as they've been good, but it seems like you've done a lot of "there will be a multi-person match at the PPV, here are some qualifying matches" recently.
Scary Abyss is scary.
The shenanigans of Petey continue as he tries to figure out a way to get back into the title picture.
Now why is Snuka helping out Love? Hrm...
Bashir should have been DQ'ed!
Looking forward to Angle/Cage. They're always great matches.
Kaz wins, as he should have. Didn't even mind the way it was done. Morgan has every right to be pissed at Booker. Looks like we might get the start of the angry aggressive Morgan.

IMPACT (October 23, 2008) Kaz proudly marched down to the ring to start the show. He was eager to point out that did what no one thought he would be able to do, and that’s defeat the unstoppable giant Matt Morgan, and in the process, become the No. 1 contender for A.J. Styles’ World Heavyweight Title. He said he actually feels a bit bad for AJ. He knows AJ has been through a lot. And he knows that winning the world title at Bound For Glory was the highlight of his career. But he feels bad that the joy of being world champion is only going to last 1 month, because it’s Kaz’s time to shine. Turning Point is an aptly named PPV, because it will be the Turning Point for the company, when Kaz becomes TNA World Champion. The champ then came out to rebut Kaz’s comments. He said Kaz is right about one thing. AJ worked his butt off his entire life to get to where he is today, and to be a world champion. But he’ll be damned if he’s going to let to go so quickly. Last time they met in the ring, AJ beat Kaz to the point he couldn’t even continue. With the world title on the line at Turning Point, there is no way, Kaz will be able to compete with the Phenomenal One. Jim Cornette then made a brief appearance to serve as mediator between the two. He pointed out the last time the two were in the ring together, it was one of the best matches he ever saw. And while he’s looking forward to them facing off one more time, he doesn’t want to wait to see it happen. Tonight he’s booking a 6-man main event. AJ and Team 3D, against Kaz and Beer Money! Handicap-Match: Abyss defeated The Rock 'n Rave Infection (Lance Hoyt and Jimmy Rave) and Sonjay Dutt when Abyss pinned L. Hoyt with the Black Hole Slam in 0:08:26. Rating: ** 1/2The first match of the night was another domination for Abyss, who’s been unstoppable in recent weeks. This time it was 3 men in the ring against him and it still didn’t matter. The Monster tore through all three men. He mercifully ended the match with a Black Hole Slam to Hoyt, but wasn’t as merciful after the match, hitting choke slams and black hole slams on everybody. Again he yelled into the camera after. He said he killed our Icon, and soon, all our heros will suffer the same fate. No one can stop him. Backstage with the Beautiful PeopleAngelina Love was all giddy about qualifying last week for the Knockouts Title match at Turning Point. She hugged Velvet and Madison and said all she needs now is to make sure they both get into the match with her and she’ll be assured of being the new champ. Eric Young was eavesdropping behind them and came up to join the group clapping. He said that sounded like a brilliant plan, and congratulated Angelina on the foresight to put it together. He then said that Velvet’s qualifying match would be next … against Awesome Kong. Velvet Sky pinned Awesome Kong after a roll up in 0:06:41. Rating: **Velvet spent the early part of the match running scared from Kong. But Kong was finally able to catch her and went to work, hitting a few power moves. She looked ready to put Velvet away with an Awesome Bomb, when ODB ran down to ringside, flask in hand. Kong and ODB have had issues in recent weeks and Kong dropped Sky to approach ODB on the edge of the ring. She ran her thumb across her throat, signaling to ODB that her time would come soon, but ODB took a drink out of her flask and spit it in Kong’s face. From behind, Velvet managed to roll up the blinded Kong and get the win, and the second challenger spot for the Knockouts Title at Turning Point. Backstage interview with Matt MorganJeremy Borash was interviewing the Blueprint, and asked him about the ending of his match last week, where he was inadvertently hit with a chair from Booker T. Morgan said mistakes happen, he gets that. But didn’t know why Booker felt the need to run down there in the first place. He had Kaz beat. There was no way Kaz was going to be able to get a pin on him. Maybe Booker only had good intentions, but the fact is, Booker cost Morgan a shot at the world title. Mistake or no mistake, Morgan said he’s going to have to deal with it. Morgan then was visably distracted by another approaching person. It turned out to be Kaz. Kaz told Morgan he’s sorry the match had to end the way it did. He really wished there could’ve been a clean ending, but because of Booker T, that didn’t happen. Kaz then told Morgan about how several months ago, when Booker was his alleged friend, Booker “mistakenly” hit Kaz in the face in a No. 1 contenders match. He told Morgan to believe what he wants about Booker T and his intentions. Believe what he wants about Booker saying that he came here to help the next generation of stars. But also believe Kaz when he says Booker’s only out for himself. Maybe it was an accident, or maybe Booker just didn’t want Matt Morgan inbetween him and the path to the world title. Kaz then left and Morgan had a confused look on his face. Petey Williams pinned Consequences Creed with the Canadian Destroyer in 0:14:26. Rating: ** 1/2Creed was looking for a measure of revenge since Petey played a role in his loss last week to Sheik Bashir. He tried to get it 1-on-1 against the former X Division Champ, but Creed just didn’t have enough on this night. Creed gave Williams everything he had, but in the end, a Canadian Destroyer proved to be the difference. Backstage interview with the Samoan DynastyPrior to going to the ring to face the Motor City Machine Guns, Jeremy Borash spoke with the Samoan Dynasty about their intentions. They said they were pleased with how their match at Bound For Glory turned out, it was a tad disappointing they couldn’t get a clean pin. They beat the Guns down so bad, they couldn’t even get back into the ring. Tonight they get another shot to finish them off. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) defeated The Samoan Dynasty (Jimmy Fatu and Jey Fatu) when C. Sabin defeated Jey Fatu by disqualification in 0:15:07. Rating: ** 1/4 [Sarona interfered against Chris Sabin.]The Machine Guns were just as happy to get another shot at the Samoans and came out in the match with an added fire and intensity. It seemed to catch the Samoans off guard for a while. They didn’t even give them a minute to breath. After the Samoans retreated to the floor to regroup, Sabin and Shelley did a double splash off each turnbuckle to the floor. After the match settled down, each team had their moments, but it looked as if the Guns were going to get their revenge, but Sarona Snuka ran into the ring, kicking Sabin in the groin to cause the DQ. The Samoans were ready to take advantage and issue a postmatch betting, but as Sarona was stomping away on Sabin, Traci Brooks rushed down to tackle her, in payback for last week. The Guns recovered and along with Brooks, cleared the ring of the Samoans. Christian Cage pinned Scott Steiner with the Unprettier in 0:13:20. Rating: ***
Christian once again had success against a former Kurt Angle associate, taking out Scott Steiner. After the match, he made one more decree on the mic, calling out Angle to stop being a coward. There was no one left to stand in between the two. He’s been waiting 6 months to get Angle in the ring alone, and he’s tired of waiting. His time was coming soon. Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) and AJ Styles defeated Beer Money, Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) and Kaz when Styles pinned R. Roode after the Styles Clash in 0:15:11. Rating: ***Kaz seemed like he wanted nothing to do with AJ early in the match, atleast, not until Beer Money got to him first and softened him up a bit. After standing tall with Team 3D early, the tide soon turned on AJ and Kaz and Beer Money were getting the best of him. AJ finally broke free to hit a Pele and make the hot tag to Brother Ray who started clearing house. They hit 3D on James Storm, was Kaz and Roode were there to break up the pin. AJ though recovered to catch Kaz with a flying forearm, knocking him out of the ring. He then finished things off catching Roode with the Styles Clash to get the win for his team. The show ended with AJ standing along side Team 3D in the ring, calling out to the retreating heels.

Kaz has really grown on me here, but he's not going to dethrone AJ. Maybe down the line, but with how hard AJ fought to get the title, it would be a huge let down if he loses now. Well shit. If 3 guys can't beat Abyss, who can? Uh oh... Love may have just gotten Velvet killed. But Velvet survives, thanks to ODB. With Kong already involved in that program, it's best to keep her away from the title for awhile. Uh oh... Kaz is in Morgan's head. Honestly, Morgan as Kaz's heavy could be good stuff if you go that route. Creed's good, Petey's better. Ah, nothing like a cheap DQ to prolong the faces from getting their revenge. I have liked this series of matches, so no problems there. Need to do some match result editing. The queue got you, as it said Sting interfered against Steiner, but Sting is in the pit of despair or something right now. Either way, Christian is fighting to get his match and it will happen soon, methinks. Well, that didn't work Kaz. You'll need to figure something else out when you fight AJ for the title.

IMPACT (October 30, 2008) Madison Rayne defeated Gail Kim by pinfall in 0:11:21. Rating: **Impact opened up with final qualifying match for the Knockouts Title match at Turning Point. The Beautiful People already had two of the challenger spots for Taylor Wilde’s title. Tonight they made sure they had all three. With Wilde on commentary for Madison Rayne’s match against Gail Kim, Wilde took exception to Angelina Love getting cheap shots in on Gail behind the ref’s back. She left the broadcast table and went to go get a few shots of her on in on Love. But all this did was serve as a distraction for the ref, that Velvet Sky took advantage of. She ran in undetected and with a chain wrapped around her fist, she knocked out Kim, allowing Rayne to get the win. After the match, the Beautiful People all stood in the ring and Love told Wilde there was no way she was leaving Turning Point as Knockouts Champ. It’s going to be 3-on-1 and there was nothing Wilde could do about it. But she did make a little slip of the tongue that drew some facial reactions from Sky and Rayne saying “I … I mean… One of us … will become the new Knockouts Champion. In-ring promo from Christian CageMike Tenay on commentary announced that Christian Cage will compete in the main event tonight against Kaz, but Christian had other things on his mind. Cage came out to the ring and brought up Kurt Angle knocking him out of action for 4 months. And ever since he’s been back he’s been waiting for a chance to get Kurt Angle alone in the ring. And ever since he’s been back, Kurt Angle has been ducking and hiding. He said there was nowhere left for Angle to hide. Cage said he just spoke with management and it has been made official. At Turning Point, it will be Christian Cage 1-on-1 with Kurt Angle. Backstage in Jim Cornette’s office with Matt Morgan and Booker TCornette was trying to smooth over the recent tension between Morgan and Booker. He said they are both valuable assets to the company and needs them on the same page. Morgan said he just didn’t know if he could trust Booker after he cost him a world title shot. Booker said it was an accident and he apologized. He told Morgan he would much rather see him in a spot to compete for the title than Kaz. Morgan was a little unsure about buying into what Booker was saying. Cornette said the Morgan has the potential to be the future of this company. But he might just need a veteran like Booker to get him to take that next step. He thought the two could make a hell of a team and then went on to book Morgan and Booker in a World Tag Team title match tonight against Beer Money. Sheik Abdul Bashir and Petey Williams defeated Consequences Creed and Jay Lethal when Bashir pinned Lethal with the WMD in 0:12:31. Rating: *** 1/2Bashir’s alliance with Petey Williams seems to be paying off as Bashir gets a big momentum boost going into his X Division title match at Turning Point against Jay Lethal. Lethal had Bashir ready to hit the flying elbow drop, but Williams pushed Lethal off the top rope, sending him crashing to the mat. Williams then ran in and hit Lethal with a Canadian Destroyer. Consequences Creed came in to try to help out his partner, but Williams took Creed outside leaving Bashir alone with Lethal in the ring, where he got the pin. Backstage with Kurt Angle and KazKurt Angle came up to Kaz in the locker room saying he needed his help. He needs Kaz to take out Christian for him. Kaz questioned Angle’s motives, and said the only reason he took this match was as a tune-up for his world title match with AJ. Angle put things simply, he told Kaz if he helps him out and takes care of Christian, Angle will help Kaz when it comes to AJ and the World Title. Four Corners Match: Sonjay Dutt defeated Curry Man, Shark Boy and Johnny Devine when S. Dutt defeated J. Devine by disqualification in 0:07:44. Rating: ** [Abyss interfered against Sonjay Dutt.]Abyss has tearing through everyone in recent weeks. Tonight he decided not even to wait for a match of his own. He showed up in the middle of a 4-way X match and cleaned house of everyone. After the carnage, he again called out Sting, who hasn’t been seen since Abyss took out at Bound for Glory, to try and stop him. Well it wasn't Sting answering the call, but rather Hernandez. SuperMex said he'd stand up to Abyss and will bring an end to the Monster's destruction. He’s not going to stand around and watch some circus sideshow freak be out of control. Abyss’ only response was sliding his thumb across his throat. Beer Money, Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) defeated Booker T and Matt Morgan when J. Storm pinned Booker after the DWI in 0:15:57. Rating: *** 3/4 (Beer Money, Inc. retained the TNA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES.)
Jim Cornette’s plan to get Morgan and Booker on the same page didn’t seem to work to well. You could tell the teamwork just wasn’t there with the two while Beer Money was a well-oiled machine. Morgan and Booker though did turn things around but miscommunication ended up costing them. Morgan tried to his Robert Roode with the carbon footprint, but Roode moved out of the way and caught Booker. Beer Money doubled clotheslined Morgan to the floor, then hit Booker with the DWI for the win. After the match Beer Money posed in the ring with their belts as Team 3D made an unscheduled appearance. 3D requested another shot at the tag titles which prompted Beer Money to ask why they think they should get another shot when Beer Money already beat them. Brother Ray responded that there was something more important at stake for them than the titles, and that is their legacy. He went to say that the business is littered with former world tag team champions. Some of them you remember, like the Steiner Brothers, the Midnight Express and Harlem Heat. Teams like Team 3D. Then theres another group for former champions that includes The American Males, Pretty Wonderful and the Godwins. Heck, even the Naturals are former world tag champions. Which group does Beer Money want to be a part of. Ray then said they’ll give Beer Money one week to decide how they want to be remembered. ODB defeated Awesome Kong by countout in 0:05:16. Rating: * 3/4Despite the size of Awesome Kong and how intimidating she can be, it doesn’t seem to affect ODB. Despite being carried from the ring on a stretcher a few weeks back, ODB wouldn’t back down from Kong. Their fight spilled to the floor as the ref began counting both out. Kong got a momentary advantage and had ODB backed against the corner. Kong charged but ODB moved out of the way and Kong crashed into the ring post. ODB used this time to slip back into the ring as Kong was counted out. When Kong got back to her feet, she was less than pleased with the result and went back after ODB. They two fought until security came to break them up. Kaz pinned Christian Cage after the Wave of the Future in 0:16:32. Rating: *** 3/4Kurt Angle has pretty much sat back and let Christian speak his peace about him in recent weeks. Finally Angle decided it was time to do something about it. Angle came to ringside to prove to be a distraction to Christian that let Kaz get the edge in the match. Christian still fought back and at one point looked ready to hit the Unprettier, but Angle jumped on the ring apron causing Christian to rush over and dropkick him to the floor. But the distraction opened the door for Kaz to hit the Wave of the Future and get the win. After the match, Angle and Kaz doubled teamed Christian until the world champion AJ Styles rushed down to make the save. Styles and Christian cleared the ring of their rivals. Afterwards, AJ took a mic and challenged Angle and Kaz to meet him and Christian next week. Kaz accepted the challenge saying that AJ better be careful or he might not make it to Turning Point.

That is a bad deal for Taylor Wilde. I think she might get her way out of the match with the title though because the Beautiful People won't be able to get along.
Glad we'll finally get to see Cage vs. Angle 1-on-1. Should be a great match.
Well, Booker and Morgan have done nothing to earn a tag title shot. I don't think it will matter though, because they won't get along to get the win.
Don't think Bashir is getting the X Title away from Lethal. This angle has too much left.
I still hate that you made me like Abyss.
Knew Booker and Morgan couldn't coexist. And I liked the promo by Team 3D to make the challenge (outside of burying the Naturals, which I wasn't a fan of).
Still more to be said in the Kong vs. ODB feud.
Pretty predictable main event finish, but good match, and sets up a sweet tag match for next week.

Your use of Abyss recently has been terrific. Don't see Hernandez being the one to put an end to his reign of terror, but it's a fine substitute until you're ready for the big match with Sting.
Now that Angle helped Kaz with Christian, looks like AJ's title reign could be in jeopardy. This is a fun foursome to have a series of matches with.

IMPACT (November 6, 2008) [/div] Impact opened up backstage where ODB and Awesome Kong were brawling with each other. After a minute, security, along with Jim Cornette and Eric Young came to break up the fight. Cornette told Young as head of the Knockout Division, he has to do something about this. Young replied by asking Cornette what he has against two chicks brawling with each other. Cornette said we can’t have this type of stuff happening backstage. Young agreed and booked a match for tonight, ODB against Awesome Kong, where the loser will have to leave TNA. Kong and ODB both were still ready to tear each other’s heads off, but they were both willing to wait till they can settle it in the ring. Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) and The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) defeated Beer Money, Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode)and The Samoan Dynasty (Jimmy Fatu and Jey Fatu) when Devon pinned R. Roode after a reverse neckbreaker in 0:16:25. Rating: *** 1/4Four of the top tag teams in the world all met in the ring at one time in an 8 man match. Old rivals Team 3D and the Motor City Machine Guns teamed up against the Samoan Dynasty, and the world champions, Beer Money. The early stages of the match saw the action fast and furious with each team executing some nice double team moves before tagging out. With so many men on the apron, neither side was able to gain much of an advantage for an extended time. Sarona Snuka once again tried to get involved to help her Samoan team against the Machine Guns, but once again, Traci Brooks ran down to fight Sarona all the way to the back. This led to the Guns and the Samoans brawling right behind them, spilling all over the building. This left 3D alone with Beer Money and the champs would take a bit of a hit as Devon got the pin on Robert Roode though. After the match though, Beer Money took the mic to address Team 3D’s comments from last week. They said when it’s all said and done, Beer Money will be right at the top of the list of the greatest teams ever. Team 3D may be 21 time world champions or whatever, but the difference between them and Beer Money, is they don’t plan on losing the belts 21 times. To prove they are the best, they’re going to beat Team 3D at their own game. At Turning Point, Beer Money challenged Team 3D to a tables match. Team 3D enthusiastically accepted, as if the champs might have fallen right into their trap. After the match, it was also announced for Turning Point a 6-person mixed tag match The Motor City Machine Guns & Traci Brooks VS. The Samoan Dynasty & Sarona Snuka Backstage with Jim Cornette, Booker T and Matt MorganCornette had Booker and Morgan in his office and said despite last week, he still sees the potential they have as a team if they can get on the same page. Both men, and as a result, TNA as a whole, would benefit from them teaming up. Cornette then said maybe he got a little ahead of himself scheduling them against Beer Money. So tonight, he’s booking them against The Naturals to get them going. MatchLoser-Leaves-Town Match: Awesome Kong pinned ODB with the Awesome Bomb in 0:14:47. Rating: ** 1/2 [Raisha Saeed interfered against ODB.]TNA has seen the last of ODB. ODB though was more willing than any knockout to stand toe-to-toe with the monstrous Awesome Kong. ODB got a good amount of offense in and a couple near falls, but in the end, Kong was too much for her. An Awesome Bomb finished her off and after the pin, Kong just looked down at ODB laughing before heading to the back. After she made it to her feet, ODB waved to the crowd and made her exit as the fans gave her a nice ovation. Backstage with the NaturalsThe Naturals were talking to each other while getting ready for their match against Booker T and Matt Morgan. Andy Douglas asked Chase Stevens if he could believe the way everyone in TNA perceived them. Cornette puts them against Morgan and Booker because he thinks it would be an easy win. Last week Team 3D labeled them as an example of the worst tag champions ever. Stevens agreed that he was tired of them being a joke. They agreed it was time to start turning things around and it’s going to start tonight. Hernandez pinned Black Reign with the Border Toss in 0:08:36. Rating: *** 1/4Hernandez scored a relatively easy win against Black Reign, but no sooner than the 3 count was awarded, than Abyss’ music came on and the monster charged to the ring. The two brawled for a bit with Abyss coming out with the upperhand over a SuperMex who just got done with a match. Abyss caught him with the Black Hole Slam, then wrapped his giant chain around his neck choking him. The Monster then decided it was time to go out under the ring and bring out his bag of tacks. But before he could spread the tacks down in the ring, more music hit. It was a well familiar tune to the Impact Zone. It was STING!!! Sting ran to the ring bat in hand and started taking a few shots at Abyss who finally retreated back up the ramp. Sting got on the mic, thanked Hernandez for taking up the fight, but this is one he has to finish on his own. He wanted Abyss at Turning Point. Monster’s Ball!! Backstage with The Beautiful PeopleAngelina Love, Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky were apparently all getting along today as they walked the backstage area of the Impact Zone. It didn’t take long for them to find what they were looking for, Taylor Wilde standing by herself. The three attacked the Knockouts champ, and even though she tried to fight back, the 3 on 1 was too much. A few other knockouts and a few security members ran in to break up the fight before too much damage could be done to Taylor. But the Beautiful People were proud of what they done, telling Taylor they’ll see her at Turning Point. The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) defeated Booker T and Matt Morgan when C. Stevens pinned Booker after a vertical facebuster in 0:13:03. Rating: *** 1/4The Naturals were clearly focused on this match, moreso than we have seen them since they’ve been back in TNA. They were communicating well, their timing was good and performed really well as a team. Basically the exact opposite of Booker T and Matt Morgan. As has been the case recently, a missed move led to Booker T catching Matt Morgan with a kick by accident. Then things finally reached their boiling point. Morgan and Booker were arguing out on the floor yelling and screaming at each other while the Naturals, and the referee even, were simply watching it all transpire from the ring. Morgan though got sick of talking as out of nowhere, he grabbed Booker T’s head and threw him into the ring post before walking away. The Naturals took advantage, bringing Booker back into the ring and finishing him off to get the win. AJ Styles and Christian Cage defeated Kaz and Kurt Angle when Cage defeated K. Angle by countout in 0:14:33. Rating: ***Christian Cage made his entrance into the ring, followed up by the World Champion AJ Styles. But AJ’s entrance was cut short by Kaz ambushing him from behind. Kurt Angle soon ran down, Christian ran up and we had a nice brawl to start the match. AJ and Christian soon got the upperhand in the fight, Christian even set a table up near ringside, but Angle was able to fight off being slammed through it and regrouped with Kaz. The men all exchanged high-flying maneuvers throughout the match and soon, Angle and Kaz got the edge, focusing most of their offense on Christian. He was able though to eventually get the hot tag to AJ and the champ cleaned house. But he might’ve gotten too eager to try to take out Kaz. He set up Kaz on the table on the floor Christian had previously reserved for Kurt Angle, then climbed to the top rope. AJ leapt off with a spiral tap and crashed right through Kaz and the table effectively taking both out of the match. Meanwhile, Angle in the ring had Christian down and was going to try for a top rope moonsault. Christian though regrouped and shoved Angle off the top, and he landed right in the pile of bodies Kaz and AJ had already formed. The only man still on his feet, sort of, Christian was awarded the win for his team via countout. The cameras faded out focusing on everyone down and out and ringside, with Mike Tenay reminding us to order Turning Point on PPV. Final Card for Turning Point World Heavyweight TitleA.J. Wow. Losing ODB or Kong will be a big hit to the Knockouts.
Like how you got the MCMG and the Samoans out of the match to allow Team 3D to get a win. I think Beer Money has something up their sleeve for the tables match.
Great to see Sting back. If you put Abyss over, he could easily go straight into a World Title program. If he doesn't, it will probably be back to the drawing board for him.
Fun main event, but I think it means Cage is not going over in his bout with Angle. Turning Point is looking really good.

TURNING POINT (November 9, 2008) X Division Title Jay Lethal © vs. Sheik Abdul BashirTurning Point opened up with the X Division title match. Relative newcomer Sheik Abdul Bashir was trying to reach the top of the division, but Black Machismo Jay Lethal wasn’t going to let his title go without a fight. The match was everything you’d expect from the X Division. The two traded high-flying moves and there were several near pins. Petey Williams made his way to the ring to try to give Bashir an assist, but Lethal’s buddy Consequences Creed wasn’t going let Williams and Bashir steal the belt. Creed stopped Williams and hit him with a DDT on the floor. This served as a distraction to Bashir, who got caught by Lethal in a Lethal Combination. One flying elbow later, Jay Lethal retained his title. Jay Lethal pinned Sheik Abdul Bashir with the Flying Elbowdrop in 0:15:42. Rating: **** (Jay Lethal retained the TNA X DIVISION TITLE.) 6-person Tag The Motor City Machine Guns & Traci Brooks vs. The Samoan Dynasty & Sarona SnukaSince the Samoan Dynast arrived in TNA, Sarona Snuka has given them a leg up on the competition, especially the Motor City Machine Guns. But the Guns may have found a way to neutralize Sarona by teaming up with Traci Brooks. The Guns and Samoans seemed to be fighting to a stalemate. Sabin and Jey were fighting on the outside when Alex Shelly came flying off the top rope with a cross body block taking out Jey. Not to be outdone, seconds later Jimmy came off the opposite top rope with a flying cross body of his own taking out Sabin. With the four men down on the floor, the match came down to the ladies, where Traci’s experience helped her take out Sarona with a lariat to get the win for her team. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) and Traci Brooks defeated The Samoan Dynasty (Jimmy Fatu and Jey Fatu) and Sarona Snuka whenTraci pinned Snuka after a lariat in 0:15:20. Rating: ** 3/4Monster's Ball Sting vs. AbyssTables were set up around ringside and weapons were scattered everywhere in anticipation for this match. Sting came ready for his Monster’s Ball match with Abyss as he came to the ring, bat in hand. When he hit the ring, he was swinging. He caught Abyss a couple times in the midsection with the bat, and the blows seemed to have a bit of an effect. But Abyss was able to power through, ripping the bat from Sting and taking him down with a monsterous clothesline. Abyss then pressed Sting over his head and tossed him over the top rope and down through a table that was set up near ringside. While Sting struggled to get back to his feet, Abyss grabbed his giant chain and clotheslined Sting with it right when he got back to his feet. The next few minutes saw Abyss manhandle the Icon, but Sting was able to come back and get a few shots in of his own, even hitting his Scorpion Death Drop, though he was too beaten to make a cover. Sting got to his feet first, grabbed a chair and headed to the top rope. He waited for Abyss to get to his feet, then flew off and smashed the Monster in the face with the chair. Sting was able to lock in the Scorpion Death Lock, but Abyss crawled over to Sting’s bat, grabbed it and was able to catch Sting with it breaking the hold. Abyss brought in his bag of tacks and spread them out, but Sting lowblowed Abyss, then hit another Scorpion Death Drop down onto the tacks. Abyss though kicked out. Earlier in the match, Abyss had set up a barbed wire covered board in the corner, Sting now with the advantage tried to irish whip Abyss into it, but Abyss reversed it sending Sting into the barbed wire. Abyss then ran and splashed Sting even more against the board. Abyss had Sting on the mat with the board ontop of him. He repeatedly struck down on the board with the baseball bat, then climbed to the second rope, and splashed down on the board. Abyss ripped the board off Sting, then piled up everything he could find laying in the ring, chairs, the bat, thumbtacks, chains, onto the barbed wire board. He then delivered a nasty black hole slam onto the pile and got the pin. No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Abyss pinned Sting with the Black Hole Slam in 0:18:14. Rating: *** 1/4Abyss screamed into the camera that the Icon was dead as he left the ring. Sting had to be helped to the back by medical personnel. World Tag Team Titles Tables Match Beer Money (c) vs. Team 3DMore tables were brought out for the World Tag Title table match, as the remnants of the previous match were cleaned up. The match was a pure brawl between all four men. They spent a good portion of the match beating each other in and around the ring, before the tables ever came into play. Both teams actually hit their finishers out on the floor. James Storm tried charging at Devon on the floor, but was caught. Unfortunately for him, Ray was standing enough by they were able to turn it into a 3D on the floor. Not to be outdone, after whipping Brother Ray into the steps taking him out of play, Beer Money hit the DWI on Devon on the floor. After this, Beer Money was first to go for the table. They set it up against the corner and tried to whip Devon into it, but in an effort to save his partner, Ray rushed in and speared Devon before hitting the table. 3D took control for a bit and went for a killshot of their own. Devon sat on the top rope Ray lifted Roode up to him setting him up for a powerbomb through the table. But Storm came back to move the table just in time. And although Roode was driven to the mat, the titles were momentarily saved. He kicked Ray out of the ring then took control of Devon. Storm ended up placing Devon on the table, then climbed to the top rope. Brother Ray recovered and pushed him off the top, sending him towards the table where he crashed through Devon and the table. The ref looked unsure of what to do as both men crashed through the table, then announced Devon and Storm were out of the match and that the match would continue until the someone else was put through a table. In the confusion though, Ray was caught still standing on the outside apron with a table beneath him. Roode charged at him, diving through the ropes, spearing Ray down through the table to get the win for Beer Money. Table No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Beer Money, Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) defeated Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) when Roode defeated BRD by putting him through a table in 0:15:26. Rating: *** (Beer Money, Inc. retained the TNA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES.)Knockouts Title 4-way Match Taylor Wilde (c) vs. Angelina Love vs. Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne4-way match or a 3-on-1 handicap match. Whatever way you want to look at it, Taylor Wilde had her hands full defending her title against all 3 beautiful people. The match started with Taylor going against Angelina Love, who felt with her stablemates behind her, this was the perfect time to win the Knockouts title. However, she got the worse end of her opening encounter with Taylor causing her to tag out. Velvet Sky came in and had the same bad results, so did Madison Rayne when she was tagged in. So all three Beautiful People then rushed in at once and overwhelmed the champ. Wilde was knocked to the floor and Angelina then ordered Velvet to lay down and let her pin her, which Sky refused to do. Rayne as well was unwilling to lay down for Love. This led to a pretty big in-ring argument between the three, giving Wilde enough time to recover and come back into the ring to clean house. She fought bravely, but couldn’t overcome the numbers advantage. As soon as she took care of one beautiful person, there was always another. Things looked good for her though, when she was able to send Sky and Rayne to the floor and focus on Love in the ring one-on-one. Wilde even got a chance to go to the top for her missile dropkick, but Rayne recovered and shoved her off the top rope to the floor. Rayne went into the ring and helped up Angelina, only to roll her up and get the pin to win the Knockouts Title! Four Corners Match: Madison Rayne defeated Taylor Wilde, Velvet Sky and Angelina Love when M. Rayne pinned Love after a roll up in 0:10:43. Rating: * 1/4 (Madison Rayne won the TNA KNOCKOUTS TITLE.)After the match, Velvet congratulated Madison on her title win while Love was clearly upset at what happened and stormed to the back by herself. Christian Cage vs. Kurt AngleKurt Angle had nowhere to hide. He had to step up and fight Christian face to face. Christian has been waiting nearly seven months to get his revenge of Angle and visably enjoyed taking the fight to Angle in the early stages of the match. Angle took control though after Christian missed a high risk move. Trying a flying cross-body off the top rope with Angle on the floor, Angle moved and Cage only hit ground. Angle then unleashed all his patented moves at Christian, but couldn’t put the Instant Classic away. He hit his triple german suplexes, put him in the ankle lock, hit a moonsault, but Cage wouldn’t give in. Cage keep fighting back and eventually turned an attempted Angle Slam into a DDT. It was Christian’s turn to build an offense but Angle wouldn’t go away either. Christian went for a frog splash, but Angle got his knees up to catch him flying in. Angle then tried to hit the Angle slam again, but Christian blocked it and turned it into an Unprettier that finally got him the win. Christian Cage pinned Kurt Angle with the Unprettier in 0:17:12. Rating: **** 1/4World Heavyweight Title A.J. Styles (c) vs. Kaz
These two know each other well, and have a high hatred for each other. But with the ultimate prize in the sport at stake, both started the match a little cautious not wanting to give the other an edge. The early moments saw some good chain wrestling that the crowd applauded. Finally though things boiled over where they got in each other’s faces talking trash nose-to-nose before finally trading right hands with each other. AJ got the upperhand driving Kaz out of the ring. AJ attempted to fly over the top rope but Kaz saw him coming and stepped out of the way. Only AJ though stopped himself on the outside apron, then ran off and caught Kaz with a flying clothesline. The advantage in the match kept swinging back and forth with no one getting a sustained offense going for more than a minute or two before the other came back with a counter to swing momentum. Kaz came ever so close to winning the title. AJ went for his springboard flying forearm, only to be met with a dropkick from Kaz. Kaz ran over to the fallen AJ and hit his Wave of the Future. But the champion kicked out at two. Kaz whipped AJ into the ropes, but AJ ducked a clothesline and came back and hit his Pele Kick. AJ then grabbed Kaz and connected with the Styles Clash, but this time it was Kaz kicking out at two. With Kaz down, AJ went to the top apparently looking to hit the Spiral Tap, but Kaz recovered, ran over to the corner and met AJ up top. After the two traded shots, Kaz grabbed AJ and hit a Flux Capacitor, but again, only a two count. The two kept throwing everything they had at the other, only to keep trading off near falls. Kaz drove AJ into the corner then ran cross the ring to catch him with a dropkick. Kaz then picked up AJ and put him on the top rope, looking to his the same top rope Hurracanrana that got him the victory over Booker T at Bound For Glory. But AJ was able to block it holding on while Kaz was in mid move. Kaz tried to hold on as well, but was dangling upside down with his legs around AJ’s neck. AJ then got Kaz in the perfect position, and leapt off holding on to Kaz, executing the Style Clash from up top. This time, there was no kicking out. AJ got the 1-2-3 and retained his World Heavyweight Title. AJ Styles pinned Kaz with the Styles Clash in 0:23:44. Rating: ***** (AJ Styles retained the TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE.)
